Elche in 5 days

If you only have 5 days to spend in Elche, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Elche offers a unique blend of history, culture and nature, anchored by its vast Palm Grove, a UNESCO World Heritage site with thousands of date palms woven into the cityscape. Visitors can stroll through beautifully kept gardens like the Huerto del Cura, explore the Basilica of Santa María and the old town’s mix of Moorish and medieval heritage, and learn about the region’s famous footwear industry in local museums. The city is also known for the Misteri d’Elx, a centuries-old sacred drama recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Its location just inland from the Costa Blanca makes it an easy cultural side trip from nearby beach resorts.
With favorites like Museum Restaurante, Monumental, and Street Jump, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Haagen Dazs and Restaurante La Retama so you can get the best taste of Elche while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Centre Comercial L'Aljub

Shopping mall
Centre Comercial L'Aljub is a well-equipped shopping mall that offers a wide range of shops and dining options. It is particularly ideal for gift shopping and enjoying meals out. The mall features a cinema and even provides car hire services for children to enjoy driving around. Additionally, there is a fantastic play park for young kids, as well as clean floors and restroom facilities. Furthermore, the mall boasts ample parking spaces which are conveniently located undercover and free of charge regardless of the weather conditions.
The best shopping center in Alicante area with all the nice shops. Yearly after Christmas sales seem to be in january, the 11th of January was not almost any spot free on the parking lot which is huge. Restaurants upstairs, waiting line to some of them around Spanish luchtime at 15:00 like Tagliatelle.
Pia- S — Google review
Looks good, clean, new. All the main shopping chains are represented. Are you looking for something special, no need to go here. Are you looking for the chains (Bershka, Primark, Pull&Bear, Druni, Primor, etc etc) this is your one stop shop. Did I forget to mention the restaurants at the top level? Popeyes was our place of choice this time but there many more.
Martijn L — Google review
Large standard shopping center, small. Convenient access, located somewhat on the outskirts of Elche. Standard set of brands, average prices. Small food court, mostly Italian eateries. The passages are a bit narrow, and when there are a lot of people, it’s quite difficult to move around. The supermarket on the ground floor is more than modest.
Mr. P — Google review
Smaller than I expected, but it does have a decent selection of shops. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable sewage smell near some of the restaurants, which made it unpleasant to sit and enjoy a drink in that area. Worth a quick visit, but not the most relaxing spot.
Elly — Google review
Extremely not baby-friendly! The nursing room is always locked and inaccessible. Inside, there’s an overpowering fragrance—presumably to keep the room smelling nice and fresh. However, I don’t think it’s healthy for a young baby to inhale this for an extended period of time. Unfortunately, parents don’t have much of a choice if they want to feed their baby in a quieter environment, since the shopping centre is full of stimulation and distractions. The disabled toilet was also locked when I tried to use it with my baby in the pram. I even saw mothers leaving their prams outside the cubicle and keeping the door ajar while peeing, just to ensure their baby’s safety. This is unacceptable. Please do not lock these facilities, as so many families with young babies need them.
Nicky W — Google review
Lots of great shops, very spacious and modern
Conrad R — Google review
What a great shopping mall. Very modern, cool, lots of shops, coffee shops , icecream parlours etc. So big I couldn't get around it all in one visit. There is something for everyone. Impressive!

Nature & Parks
El Palmeral is a serene palm tree grove that invites visitors to explore its winding paths, picturesque waterfalls, and vibrant wildlife. This lush oasis in Orihuela not only showcases the beauty of nature but also serves as a backdrop for enjoying delicious local tapas made from fresh produce sourced from the surrounding farms. As one of Spain's largest palm groves, El Palmeral offers an enchanting setting for families to unwind under the stars or engage in playful activities at its well-equipped children's play area.
Great park with many various places to rest, interesting fountains and vast areas covered with palm trees. Fun idea for a day out and easily accesible from Alicante.

Great place to spend free time. Together with family went there while visiting Elche. The Park was really beautiful and well maintained. Worth visiting if you are nearby
Karina L — Google review
A real nice parc for a walk or picnic. Nice palm trees, other vegetation and a few interesting monuments. I would not do more than a 15-20 minutes detour to visit it.
Mario B — Google review
I think I was expecting more from a UNESCO site, butI suppose the fact that it was laid out nearly a millennium ago is neat, even if it's not the most beautiful garden I've seen this month.
Geoffrey B — Google review
El Palmeras is a nice spot to check out if you want a break from the usual hustle and bustle. It might not be as jaw-droppingly spectacular as some reviews make it sound, but it has its own quiet charm. Strolling among the palms and taking in the peaceful atmosphere is surprisingly relaxing. t’s perfect for a slow walk, a moment to sit and unwind, or just to enjoy a bit of nature without any rush. Not a must-see wonder, perhaps, but definitely a pleasant little escape if you’re in Elche.

Nestled within a beautifully restructured historical castle, the Museu Arqueològic i d'Història d'Elx offers visitors an engaging glimpse into the rich tapestry of Elche's past. This modern museum features both permanent collections and temporary exhibits that chronicle the evolution from early civilizations to more contemporary times. While not overwhelmingly large, its thoughtfully curated displays provide insightful narratives about local history, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone exploring Alicante.
Because of the virus, the touch interactive screens were disabled, so entry was free. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Exhibits were clean and nice. The view from the top of the castle was amazing for photos.

A small museum with a lot of historical findings and great mapping of the history of the region. The castle was closed as they are renovating it. They also had a Gaming department which my gaming boys just loved. Thank you! Absolutely worth the hour or mor that we spent there. :)
Ricky B — Google review
Nice museum well worth the visit, even if only a part of it is currently open (the palace is being renovated) Lots of information of the prehistory and ancient history of the area (the more modern parts closed due to renovation) Free on sundays!

Small but very modern and nice museum explaining Elche’s history. Great artifacts, well displayed. Admission is free.
Tim J — Google review
Elche, a nice town where you can see beautiful buildings and a number of interesting sites, the archaeological museum is worthwhile, it is mainly an exhibition about the history of Elche with information about its habitation since the Bronze Age. The building itself is a piece of the city's old defenses and very worth while to roam through and enjoy the great views over the city. Access to the museum is quite cheap, relative to the time you can spend there,

The Basílica de Santa Maria is a historic church in Elche, built on the site of a former mosque. The architecture combines neoclassical, baroque, and renaissance styles, featuring ornate doorways and a distinctive blue-tiled dome. It is renowned for its role in the Mystery Play of Elche. Visitors can climb the bell tower for panoramic views of the city and surrounding area.
This is a really stunning place to visit and an absolute must if you are in Elche. The architecture is insane, definitely one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever been in. You can go inside, but it's through a little hole in the wall to the left of the grand door, it isn't obvious at all and I can't remember seeing a sign. You can go inside for free, but you have to play to climb the tower. I didn't climb so not sure the cost
Tyler L — Google review
What a lovely experience and the only two euros to climb the tower.. (cash only)... Well laid out and lots of things to read and experience and a nice visit
Verdict V — Google review
😲 An absolutely amazing place of worship I was blown away with the external architecture but even more with the inside a place of absolute bliss I don't think I've ever seen something so beautiful slightly emotional to see in person 😍
Emma M — Google review
I like the fact that the virgin Mary has her own small and very well decorated apartment above the altar (you go girl!).
Geoffrey B — Google review
Absolutely beautiful building, you can go in the main doors just to see the church or you can go through the small door in the side and pay 2 euros each to climb the tower. I paid thinking it was to visit the church, I have no head for heights & declined the climb and was offered my 2 euros back by the man on the door which I declined. Whilst my husband climbed the tower the man on the desk complemented me on my Spanish pronunciation, I've been learning a while and it gave me a boost, we had short conversation and he was a brilliant teacher he's missing his vocation, if anyone reads this that knows him please pass my gratitude on to him. Anyway back to the Basilica, a must to visit if you get the chance, it's a lovely building in an amazing part of this beautiful city.
Janet S — Google review
It is very nice church from inside as well as from outside. I also do recommend to climb the tower, it costs only 2 euros and it has very nice views and there are side stops on this tower. Just the last part of stairs might be difficult if you are big person, you simply won't fit.
Karolis S — Google review
Across the road from the palace and MARE museum is the Basilica of Santa Maria, a modern seventeenth century building. I opted for the €2 ticket to climb the bell tower. That was quite a fun choice - there were about 170 steps and the last 30 or so were very narrow so my shoulders brushed each side of the stairwell! The views were impressive and you could walk onto part of the roof too. It did give an idea of the size of the palm tree oasis as well as view of the suspension bridge. On the plus side, I was certainly warmer after the climb! Outside the church are several sculptures and the doorways are also rather impressive! As my visit was on a Sunday morning I couldn't go into the church itself as there were services going on.
Marcus H — Google review
It's a beautiful building - from the outside! Unfortunately, the opening hours (April 2021) were really inconvenient (10-12:30 and 18-20:30) so that we couldn't have a look inside. But I'm sure it's worth an inside visit! Already the entrance port and it's facade is a pleasure to look at! It looks recently renovated and there's free WiFi on the square in front: Wifi4EU...

Haagen-Dazs is a popular chain known for its counter-service offering of ice cream, sorbet, sundaes, shakes, and smoothies. It's a favorite spot among young people and is praised for its delicious crepes made in-house. The friendly service and comfortable atmosphere make it a highly recommended choice. Although some find the prices a bit high, the ice cream and waffles are described as delicious.

Well, we didn't have the ice cream but I'm sure they are at the top of there game when it comes to serving the chilled snack! So what else on a November morning? Coffee and tostada of course! And I have to say the coffee was an excellent blend with a creamy froth top. The toast was tasty, fresh and crusty. Very reasonable price at 1.95€ for this breakfast deal. We were served by a very smiley waitress. Very good for an ice cream parlour and would be happy to go there again for breakfast. And ice cream in the summer!!

From your kindness, your attention with a smile all the time, speed, the ice cream was perfectly presented, your tone of voice so sweet. Impeccable uniform on which you can read your name. You have quickly solved an option for me to be able to charge my cell phone. I noticed that you addressed all the customers in a very polite manner with a good afternoon and even interacted with a girl about whether she liked the cookie better one way or another and giving it to her to try. Wishing clients a good day in a very close and cordial way at the same time. Plus you have also done the same with an English client. You have made everyone smile and make you want to stay all afternoon! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I'm sure you will go far with your attitude and enthusiasm!! You have made my day, I will return even if I am on a diet!! Ha ha. Greetings, Laura. Me has alegrado el día, volveré aunque esté a dieta!! Jaja. Un saludo, Laura.

(Translated by Google) A total rip-off. The clerk switched the products we ordered for more expensive ones without warning, and when we paid, we were surprised to learn that everything was much more expensive. And she didn't accept any complaints. I ordered a €2 chocolate milkshake and she charged me €7 because it was supposedly a personalized milkshake. When we complained, she told us she didn't have any ingredients for the product I ordered. And couldn't she have warned us beforehand? There were no other customers at the time to justify a possible oversight, and she didn't even apologize... They think they're clever for making a few euros by deceiving their customers. (Original) Una estafa total. La dependienta nos cambió los productos que pedimos por unos más caros sin avisar, al pagar nos sale con la sorpresa que todo era mucho más costoso. Y no aceptó reclamos. Yo pedí un batido de chocolate de 2 € y me cobró 7 € porque supuestamente era milkshake personalizado, al reclamar nos dice que no tiene insumos para el producto que pedí. ¿Y acaso no podía avisarlo antes? No había más clientes en ese momento para justificar un posible olvido, ni siquiera pidió disculpas... Se creen muy listos por ganar unos euros engañando a sus clientes.

(Translated by Google) I love the ice cream at this place, it's always delicious, as are the milkshakes. It's true that it's a little expensive but it's worth it because it's so enjoyable, I always go with someone to share. I highly recommend the caramel salte ice cream, the dulce de leche ice cream and the cookies. The service is fast although sometimes there are so many people that you have to wait a little, just as they don't always give you a tasting. The normal place is clean but it is inevitable that there will be fingerprints on the display cases since everyone likes to touch them.

Restaurante La Retama is a remarkable dining establishment that offers a delightful experience with its outstanding service and delectable cuisine infused with Peruvian influences. A small, presumably family restaurant, in a pedestrian alley, behind the Basilica of Saint Mary, with a warm welcome, a helpful, smiling and open owner, just like the rest of the staff. Sufficient choice, with simple, but excellent dishes! 3-course menu at €15, including drinks. In short: what more could you ask for for a pleasant lunch during your visit to the city. I highly recommend this place!

Sinapi Restaurante in Elche offers delicious burgers made with high-quality minced meat. They also serve tasty individual-sized pizzas, which are a great option. The beer is served in chilled glasses, demonstrating their attention to detail. The staff at Sinapi Restaurante are friendly and provide excellent service. Most of the dishes are mild in flavor, but they also offer a spicy fish option for those seeking something more fiery.
A good, modern restaurant with excellent dishes. The portions are not too big, but that's why the quality is excellent. The staff is friendly. Maybe someone will be bothered by the fact that there is no standard paper menu but you have to scan a QR code that takes you to their site.

Lovely food and drink with equally lovely staff, can't complain at all for the price....... Which I think is reasonable for the service and atmosphere on offer. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a well cooked filling meal. I had the evolution burger cooked medium and it was exactly what I expected, tasty filling and well presented. My partner had the Krunchy roll which was a lovely chicken wrap with an assortment of salad. This also did not disappoint. Would definitely come back if we didn't live in the UK. Total bill came to just short of €40 which is definitely worth it for the food and drinks provided

In 2024 we had a very positive impression of this restaurant. However, today was very disappointing! In a city were tourism is the major income of restaurants, the waiters in this restaurant don’t speak any word English. Therefore miscommunication was the result, even with the help of Google translate. Serving staff was new, hardly no experience and are trained while customers are waiting. Staff doesn’t have any attention for the guests: wine in a cooler (that was the only thing the owner did besides having her diner next to us) and we need to fill our glasses by ourselves. I do realise: everybody needs to gain experience but please, don’t train when the restaurant is open! The food we ordered was good, not that delicious as we expected. Maybe that was influenced as well by the bad service. Unfortunately. Do I recommend Sinapi? Not at this moment with this staff and this service. Sorry!

Very pleased with the food, the service and the selection of wine.. Paco has been great, very friendly service and he's been very knowledgeable over wine. The place is luxurious but doesn't come across as pretentious as other luxury restaurants. Good to see we have a good restaurant like Frisone in Elche. If you want something different than a regular Spanish tapas bar and their standard menus, Frisone can definitely offer us something different with a good service and food. We had three starters, one main, bottle of white wine (very good), two digestives a desert and the bill came around €100 for two people! Definitely worth it! Here comes the million dollar question: Will I go there again? 100% yes!

We were off to a good start, the waiter didn’t speak much English, but was very nice and we managed to communicate with our broken Spanish. Beautiful presentation and generally well-executed dishes, but disappointed with the handling of a hygiene issue - a live caterpillar was found on a steak tartare. While the waiter did replace the dish, the replacement lacked original garnishes, was prepared loudly in front of us in a way that felt performative, and no proper apology or goodwill gesture was offered. For a restaurant listed on the Michelin app, I expected a higher level of service recovery.

We were blessed enough to have two meals in this amazing restaurant while visiting Spain. It was the most impressive dining experience of our lives. The chef is truly amazing and a brilliant culinary artist. No detail was forgotten from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. The staff are so welcoming and treat you like family. Frisone is a piece of art in this beautiful country.

Wow, what an amazing restaurant. The chef here is a wizard who creates magic in his kitchen. Every course was 10/10 and for the level in quality I thought the pricing was reasonable.

Good service and a nicely fitted out restaurant. Some dishes were very good but some were so bad we had to send them back. Difficult to find. Will we go back absolutely not.

Nestled within the expansive Elche Palm Grove, Huerto del Cura is a botanical paradise that captivates visitors with its lush greenery and tranquil ambiance. Spanning an impressive 13,000 square meters, this garden boasts around 1,000 palm trees alongside a variety of Mediterranean and tropical plants. The highlight here is undoubtedly the Imperial Palm Tree, renowned for its striking seven-armed trunk—a tribute to Empress Elizabeth of Bavaria's visit.
So beautiful! It was á really hot day and we could get in shaddow if we wanted to. A lot of plants, treas, statues and fountains to look at. We also enjoyed seeing the peacocks.

The hotel was chosen for its close proximity to the Teatro and the rooms set amidst a beautiful garden. We booked a Junior Suite which was a lovely stroll amongst the greenery. Extremely clean big bedroom with big bed, big tv and a big spa bath in the big bathroom. All staff were happy and helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was very good. Plenty for 4 courses if you're that way inclined! We didn't use the restaurant as we ate out but the bar and bar staff were good too. Excellent (yes) 'big' pool area adorned with lovely twinkling lights for the evening.

What a beautiful botanic garden set in the middle of Elche. All the specimen plants and trees were very well labelled. Admission is about 5 euros with a slight discount for pensioners. The only negative is the availability of parking resulting in circling the narrow streets of Elche several times. There is a large underground parking about 300 mtrs away but there is a hotel with the same name much closer that would b much closer
Peter C — Google review
Tranquil, picturesque place with lots of palms from around the world, quite a variety of cacti, peacocks walking around, water features. All creates an atmosphere of joy, peace and tranquility. We love feeding peacocks as there is a special food available to buy next to the exit.

Spectacular! My partner and I attended the Dia de Andalucia Flamenco show. The theatre was wonderful and very clean. The ushers helped us locate our seats just fine. The show was quite long, however, we enjoyed celebrating the spirit of Andalusia

This is one of the best scenic spaces in the region. Absolutely every seat in the house offers outstanding acustics and visibility. Julián, Miguel Ángel and the entire team have served the community and culture at the Gran Teatro for the longest time, and you can really trust them and the entire team to always bring the absolutely best artistic and production quality onto their stage. If you at all have a chance to choose quality entertainment and culture, you cannot afford to miss attending a play, concert or production here. This place is a must.-

It was a disaster. I am 185cm tall (6'1"). I couldn't sit without my legs as wide as I could get them. Even then my knees were sticking into the edges of the seats in front. I gave up when I realised I couldn't go on. I had deep grooves in my knees. Missed the vast majority of the concert.

Plaça de la Glorieta

Park
Plaça de la Glorieta is a charming square in the heart of Elche, offering a cozy family atmosphere with lovely terraces for enjoying snacks. The square features a stone fountain surrounded by benches and is overlooked by the old convent of Santa Lucia, known for its neoclassical cloister and Renaissance-style doorway. This Spanish town exudes authentic charm with independent shops, bars, and cafes to explore. Visitors can also enjoy the nearby botanical garden showcasing various palm trees and animals.
Elche is a lovely place to visit, with many typical Spanish squares and streets to explore. It's a Spanish town, not a tourist town full of holiday makers. There's a vast amount of independent shops, bars and cafes to enjoy. There are retail parks with the large Corte Inglese store if you want it. But the charm is in the town itself. Well worth visiting.

An exceptional restaurant experience – and I don’t say that lightly! I was thoroughly impressed by the food and atmosphere, feeling as though I’d been transported to culinary heaven. The service was flawless, with perfectly timed dish arrivals, excellent wine pairing and immediate attention to every need, often before I even expressed it. The stunning setting by the park added to the ambiance and truly made my day in Elche unforgettable. Kudos to the chef and the entire service team; in my opinion, this experience was worthy of at least one Michelin star!

This restaurant is big disappointment after high hopes with positive reviews. Menu was hard to read, service was bad as the waiter did not clean table prior seating or ask if the food is good once served. The burger was meant to be medium rare but was rare so not cooked as requested.
Pan M — Google review
I don't write many reviews but this place deserves a mention for excellent service. From offering an extra seat for my bag to opening a door to more easily access the bathroom, to changing my no bread order to gluten-free bread, the waiter was friendly, alert and helpful. The food was also absolutely delicious. The online menu also offers an option to filter out allergens.

If you want to eat where a local eats, and not feel like your in a tourist trap that they'll overcharge you in. This is the place to go, the paella even after you're full reminds you how much you wish you had a second stomach so you could eat more. The service is impeccable, the outdoor dining and area makes you feel like you're not stuck in a tourist trap, but actually enjoying life like a Spaniard. This is a place if you visit elche you don't want to let pass you by, you must try it, and I promise you, you will want to eat here every time you can.

Novaibense is a popular ice cream parlor located in a prime area of the city. The place offers a wide variety of high-quality ice creams, with flavors that stand out for their creaminess and richness. Customers praise the dark chocolate ice cream, which is not only delicious but also lactose-free and suitable for vegans. The staff is known for being friendly and attentive even during busy times.

(Translated by Google) I've visited the Novaibense ice cream shop on the Glorieta several times, and it's always a fantastic experience. The ice cream is homemade, with an authentic and powerful flavor, the kind that leaves a lasting impression. During the holidays, there are usually long lines, but this time I was lucky to find fewer people and was able to enjoy a leisurely glass of prepared milk, which I love. The terrace is an ideal place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, surrounded by the Glorieta de Elche, a setting steeped in history and charm, overlooking some of the city's most iconic corners. Without a doubt, a classic worth recommending for those looking for a good ice cream in the heart of Elche.

La Taronja restaurant is a welcoming establishment with friendly staff, serving delicious coffee and food. Its terrace overlooks a nearby playground, making it an ideal spot for families with children. Despite its initial uninspiring appearance, customers are pleasantly surprised by the quality of the offerings. Visitors can enjoy tasty cakes and sheltered seating while meeting friends. If you are there, at least get desert, it was amazing , Spanish torrija, one of the servers recommended and it was such a good surprise, burgers also looked great , overall good service good food , good atmosphere, fair pricing - it's right next to the tropical garden, so they rightfully have some markup. But really worth to get at least something small 🙂🇪🇸.

Nestled in the charming heart of Elche, Restaurant Mesón El Granaino offers a delightful escape into traditional Valencia-region cuisine. With its quaint ambiance adorned with patterned wall tiles and rustic wood beams, this eatery is a feast for both the eyes and palate. The menu showcases an array of classic Spanish dishes, particularly highlighting rice-based specialties that reflect the local agricultural bounty.
Very busy but worth the wait, they have both tables and a bar the bar staff are super friendly and the food is the freshest and so well prepared, recently refurbished to be modern but still reflecting what the restaurant is about fresh seafood and meat with roots from Granada. Also a great selection of spirits.

Fantastic experience from walking in to the impeccable service of Antonio. The food was superb. Started with the crusty house bread which was unforgettable. The lobster salad was amazing. The buñuelos de bacalao, rabbit albondigas and the manitas (trotters) were excellent. We had to finish with a traditional arroz con costra, the traditional Elche arroz. Not to mention the tinto de verano which was the best we ever had in my decades of visiting Spain.

It was good, but a bit disappointing. After reading and hearing all the good reviews we came here. The food was good, but almost every dish lacked salt and flavours. The only good thing was the apple tart, because they cook it at the moment. The prices are not corresponding to the food at all, it's overpriced.

The place opens at 12:30 pm but don't bother showing up at that time as soon as we walked in we were told by a bartender with the most unpleasant attitude we have experienced to leave and come back 30 min later because there were no tables available in a completely empty restaurant. Outdoor Activities
Río Safari Elche is a fantastic destination for families looking to connect with nature and wildlife. This park boasts an impressive array of animals, including turtles, primates, and even tigers! Visitors can enjoy interactive experiences like feeding sea lions or entering the lemur enclosure. A safari tour allows guests to explore the park from a unique perspective while taking in the sights at their own pace.
Fantastic combination of zoo, safari and splash park is worth of staying for the whole day. The safari is rather short - approximately 15mins but is included in entrance fee as well as see lion show. The zoo has more than 4000 palm trees which is very unique view. Splash park is a water park for any age visitors tubes, tobogans, small kids areas, plenty of space to sit or eat. Great finish of the day. Booking online tickets has 20% discount
Honza N — Google review
Nice little zoo. Some great cats and monkeys /apes on show. All the animals look happy. The sea lion show was entertaining. Also has a small water park attached for an additional cost as well as a go karts track.
Chris S — Google review
Great variety of animals to see, and most of them seem to be doing well – though a few enclosures did look a little on the small side. The safari drive-through was fun and a nice way to see the park, but since most visitors are tourists, it would have been smart to offer the information in English as well. For us, it just turned into a background soundtrack of enthusiastic shouting that we didn’t understand. Food inside the park was decent – nothing to write home about, but it does the job when you’re hungry. A really nice bonus is the water park right next to the zoo, which makes it easy to turn the visit into a full family day out. Animals, slides, and kids tired enough to actually sleep at night – what more can you ask for?
Martin S — Google review
This place really was amazing! The place is mostly shaded, necessary when it gets hot. The price is also good. But none of this matters compared to the actual day we had. The animals were all so interactive! The leopards came up close to see us, the giraffes came to check out a floral shirt, the orangutan was kissing my dad through the glass, the limas were climbing the fence to say hello to my daughter, the monkeys next to them were showing off and playing around directly with us and everything that didn’t interact was easily visible. We had a great day. We have zoo passes in England but all agreed this was the best zoo day ever.
Andrew W — Google review
Lovely small zoo, which is making constant improvements to the enclosures and makes the most of the space available, so it feels bigger than it is. Lots of shaded areas to escape the summer heat and a nice safari tour included 3 times a day and a sea lion demonstration too. I was a little disappointed by the reptile area, which could perhaps include images of the animals' natural habitat in the enclosure background to make them feel a little more comfortable, like you can see in other parts of the world, but they're all well cared for. Staff are lovely and helpful and most are able to communicate in English and likely some in other languages too.l, which is helpful for tourists. We had a long time to wait after having seen everything and the safari tour, so went to the Chinese buffet down the road (5*) and the returned in time to join the queue. Worth a visit to this zoo if you're looking for a local attraction or want to support the local businesses.
P H — Google review
We go every year! We pay the extra for the wristband for the splash park and in summer, after walking around the zoo, you'll need the splash park to cool down! It's amazing, sea lion shows, lemur feeding, train ride round the zoo gets you closer to the animals, the splash park is great for all ages, many slides, 16/18 I think! Indoor soft play and great prices in the restaurants too! They offer burger! +/hotdog stalls and an indoor restaurant with some buffet type dishes paella etc.. You'll not be disappointed! 5 starts from us! Tip: book online and you go straight through and get a discount 😉

We had a great time visiting Safari Río Elche with the kids! The zoo is well-organized, the animals look well cared for, and there was plenty to see and do. Our children especially enjoyed the close-up views of the animals and the overall experience was both fun and educational. A perfect family outing, highly recommended!

Great day out and well priced as well - 3 adults and 1 child 68 euros. Lots to see and plenty of shade whilst walking around - didn’t go into the water park but the zoo was good for four hours but then started getting a bit too hot for us . You can get discounts if you go after 3. Ground is very dusty so advise you to wear trainers or shoes rather than flip flops. Overall had a great little day trip.

Street Jump in Elche is a popular trampoline park that offers various types of trampolines, gym mats, and games to keep visitors entertained. The attentive monitors provide helpful advice and guidance to improve skills. The facility features a bar area with tables overlooking the trampolines, allowing parents to relax while watching their children have fun. It's recommended for both younger and older kids, as there is close supervision for younger children and control when they leave the adventure park.
Excellent place to spend the evening. Clean, professional, safe. The staff are amazing with kids, look after their safety and very friendly. I recommend 100%.

The most popular bubble zone is closed permanently:(( kids were so happy to be there. And now what is left is an average trampoline park. Pity!

Good for kids - but for adults - it is very dangerous. Not well protected and you can literally slide into the rails and between the cylindrical springs. Socks are from AliBaba/Express.

nice place to go with younger kids as well as older kids. the younger children are closely supervised and there is a control when they leave the adventure park. really recommended! my three-year-old son loved it. my 13-year-old daughter also had a good time at the trampolines! we will be back for sure!

My son loved it. He liked that there were different types of trampolines, and gym mats and games to keep him entertained. The monitor was helpful too, my son asked for advice and he had no problem with showing my son how to improve on his skills. I liked it as there was a bar area but also because there were tables to drink at which were over looking the trampolines, so I could also watch my son having fun. Although it is 50 minutes drive from our home, we will definitely go again.

Burger King is a popular fast-food chain that offers grilled burgers, fries, and shakes. The parking facilities are convenient, and the first impression of the restaurant is positive. The exterior and interior are clean and appear to be new. Despite only being open for a short while, the staff is friendly and can even speak English, which is beneficial for visiting families. The service is quick and efficient, even when customers arrive near closing time. All meals are served hot without any complaints.
Good parking and first impression. Site outside and in was very clean, all very new. Only been here a short while. Staff friendly and even spoke English, which was nice for visiting family. Very quick and efficient service, despite us being those people who walk in at 5 minutes to closing!

Tried it again, food was cold, BK will not respond properly. Poor service poor quality it's a shame for such a brand.
Mark S — Google review
I'm sure there are worse burger places, but I have yet to find one. Our burgers were cold and the cheese was not melted, how does that happen? On complaining we were told they were meant to be that way. "It's impossible to have it another way". We only went there because everywhere else was shut ( it was a Sunday night). Next time I'll just eat my pillow, it would have tasted better.
Peter L — Google review
They take FOREVER to prepare a few burgers. Store was completely empty. Waiting for 30mins+ and counting... "Fast"food? Not at all. Staff has no clue. Grabbing burgers, putting them back, grabbing burgers, putting them back endless. Lots of food was waiting but nothing came out. Burgers getting cold for 30 mins+. VERY inefficient and slow. Real unexperienced workers. More people came, claiming money back, complaining about cold food etc. A joke. You cannot be serious.
Dajo R — Google review
Can't complain about anything, all meals were hot and kids enjoyed their kids meals too. Took a little time for the order to be prepared but is a busy location so to be expected. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant and around side streets.

Smokey and Dirty. My eyes were streaming after a couple of minutes. Place seemed to be in chaos. I started to have breathing difficulty because they are using old cooking oil. Glad we didn't eat there and went home. Still coughing several hours later
Chris C — Google review
The worst service from a "fast-food" place , in all the countries I have visited. The staff were crossing over each other and seemed not to know what they were doing, the electronic board for meals being prepared or ready to collect was either not functioning or was not being used, so meal numbers were called out by staff but could hardly be heard due to large numbers queuing, children yelling and running all over, and other staff shouting over each other. A 25 minute wait for luke-warm-burgers, soggy cold onion rings, and barely warm fries. We have always loved Burger king and went out of our way to go to this one, I had to wait nearly 40 minutes last time and they wee not that busy except for a party of kids so I thought it was a one-off, do yourself a favour and avoid this one, there are better places for a quick snack

Spanish restaurant
Restaurante La Masía de Chencho is a special place run by Rafael Reyes, who has a long history in the hospitality industry. The restaurant offers a variety of spectacular dishes including fresh seafood, flavorful rice dishes, and delicious vegetables. They take pride in their homemade bread and tasty olives and olive oil. The outdoor seating area is beautifully adorned with old olive trees and decorative lighting, making it an ideal setting for a romantic dinner or even a wedding reception.
La Masía de Chencho offers an exceptional dining experience that perfectly combines traditional Mediterranean flavors with modern culinary creativity. Located in a charming rustic farmhouse just outside Elche, the setting is peaceful and inviting, making it an ideal spot for special occasions or a memorable night out. The menu highlights some of the freshest fish around, prepared with great skill to bring out their natural flavors. If you’re a fan of rice dishes, you’re in for a treat—there are several excellent options that showcase the perfect balance of texture and seasoning, truly some of the best in the area. What really elevates the experience is the carefully curated wine list, featuring local and international selections that pair beautifully with the dishes. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring that every detail of your meal is just right. Whether you’re celebrating a special event or simply want to enjoy high-quality food in a cozy, elegant environment, La Masía de Chencho is a top choice in Elche. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fine Mediterranean cuisine with fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation.

Apparently they cook their own bread, which was beutifully crusty. Olives and olive oil were tasty. The potato chips looked like home made but probably not all of them were freshly made, the fresh ones were though crunchy and tasty. The "Santa Pola" shrimps served on ice were fresh, nicely cooked. The Wagyu was melting in your mouth but if it was sliced thinner like the Japanese teppanyaki it would be better. The ham and mushrooms artichokes with caramelized foie gras were the best. We could pass the oxtail as we could not get its taste. I expected to receive a cookie or chocolate with the coffee. The service was good, attentive but don't expect them to explain to you the meals.

We visited on a Thursday evening to celebrate my birthday, and it was the perfect choice. Recommended in the Michelin Guide, this is a classy restaurant, and was busy - and buzzing - when we arrived for our 20:45 table. Our table for two was large and comfortable for a relaxed meal. We started with chipirones which, with added garnish of garlic and nora peppers, were the best I’ve ever had. The main course was a nicely aged steak from an aged cow with foie gras and port sauce It was cooked perfectly medium rare and presented superbly on the plate. It ate tremendously too. A rare pudding was chosen, a twin-chocolate fondant with ice cream - oozing and luxurious. A perfect indication of the quality of the restaurant and its staff was my partner’s decision to leave the choice of dry white wine to the wine waiter as the wine menu was just too big to navigate. While there were literally hundreds of more-expensive options a lesser establishment might have delivered, the 25 euro bottle he brought was perfect for the occasion. Fabulous food and drink in luxurious surroundings.

Our second time, this time a bit of shambles. It took as long time to see the menu and get drinks. Ordering the wine was a error of comedy. We must have ordered the wine 5 times every time confusion. To Mitigate the circumstances it was just the main rush. All the waiters were very nice and helpful but there was no communication between them . So we practically finished our first course when the wine arrived. We have been in the business so we could see that there was no organisation. There should have been a waiter on each station instead all running around like headless chickens. Main course a similar thing for 3 of us the food was really nice but the steak , my daughter in law ordered her steak med well several times. How did it come rare ! It went to the kitchen 3 times to get there. Such a shame. It's a very elegant and obviously inn restaurant. Also we came 2 months after our first visit which was superb. But no chance in menu to take account of changing seasons ! They want to run things the easy way. What a shame !

Park
Parc Municipal, also known as Parque Municipal, is a stunning park located in the heart of Elche. It features Europe's largest date palm grove, with approximately 200,000 trees spread across orchards throughout the city. The park comprises several individual palm groves, one of which was granted to the city in the 17th century by a wealthy landowner. Visitors can enjoy the well-maintained and expansive grounds with numerous old and diverse palm trees providing ample shade.
Lovely for an evening stroll in the cool park. Lovely water features, lots of trees and plenty of seating for passing your time away.

Elche is famous for its palm plantations, over a million trees in the central park that follows the line of the river through the centre of the town. It seems to be free to enter but there weren't really any signs so we just ambled and found several fountains and some beautiful avenues in a lovely and litter free environment. It was quite busy as it was a Sunday but very nice to just wander around. Looking at other pictures though we seem to have missed a lot of areas although I'd thought we'd seen most of it. This demonstrates the value of prior research!

This little museum is interesting but be aware of the museum shop if you have a stone collecter in you group. They have a fun little shop where you can buy stones and shark teeth. The location is in the old part of the city and not a lot of parking available around so be prepared to walk a little. In the museum everything is in Spanish but with help from translate Google everyone can enjoy reading the notes on exhibits.

Palau dels Altamira is an impressive Moorish-style fortress in Elche, steeped in centuries of history. It has served various roles over time, from hosting city council meetings to being a textile factory and even a prison. The palace, built around a 10th-century Arab core, also functions as a concert venue and houses the city's archaeology museum.
Absolutely fantastic museum. Entry was for free (don't know why, it was surprise for us) and with lots of historical items descriptions and nice view from castle. Toilets were closed thanks to Covid I guess.

Interesting small museum (on the other side of the fountain - this is also the way in) and fine building. We parked at the underground car park not much more than 300m from it and walked through the park which is next to the palace. Sculpture museum
El Cau is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable experience for those willing to make the trek. Nestled just 11 minutes from the main road, this enchanting site requires a bit of effort to reach, especially in warm weather. The journey involves navigating a steep and uneven path filled with loose stones, making it essential for visitors to wear sturdy shoes and take their time—especially if mobility is a concern.
Omg. Me and my friend decided to go to this fantastic place. Our husbands stayed in the car. It was just 11 minutes a way🙈It was about 38 degrees... but 11 minutes, no problem. Well, when it's that hot, it takes a lot longer. 🌞🌞 only 7 minutes left. Only 3 minutes left. We thought it would be an easy way. But no. Up..up..up, and it was a difficult route to go if you haven't got good legs. We have, so in the end, we made it. 💪💪But it took us at least 25 minutes with stops because it was so hot. But it was worth it. I had to take my blouse off and put it on my head on the way back.😄Otherwise, I thought I wouldn't make it in the hot sun🤣 My husband started to look for us..We were just going to be half an hour. Well, it was beautiful up there, fantastic art and beautiful scenery. 😍 It's just magical. I will definitely go again with guests. But not when it is so hot.😅

If you love walking, nature, beautiful scenery and art, then this trail is for you! It's stunning! We put it in maps and it took us to a car park, found a sign for cau de elche and walked up the mountains for about 15/20 minutes and came to the mariano ros artwork envmgraved and painted into the mountains, all along the route you will be able to read about the history of the artist and artwork... We then walk about another 3 hours until we reached the pantano which was breathtaking to see, stunning waterfall where people were having picnics... Of course you can just drive to the pantano but if you want the full experience I recommend this route for walking lovers who love to hike... I took my 5 year old soon with me and he just about walked all the way through the mountains, so I don't really recommend it with little ones unless you're willing to carry them a little bit of the way, but if your an outdoorsy person them you really must see it! And it's all free to see!

A very interesting place to visit. The carpark is at the bottom just a dusty carpark. Then an about a 3 min walk upto El Cau you won’t be disappointed the views and the stone carvings are an amazing. The way up is very uneven lots of loose stone. If you have mobility issues take your time there is slight incline on the way up. I would recommend going early and in the week very quite you will enjoy the experience more especially the views.

Restaurant El Raval offers more than just a dining experience; it's an artistic journey. The presentation of each dish is impeccable, resembling works of art. While the food quality is good, the focus on presentation stands out. The attentive service and original dish presentations make for a memorable visit. The restaurant's small size adds to its charm, and the generous portions encourage sharing and exploring various flavors. Despite some areas for improvement in the ambiance, such as dated bathrooms, the overall experience is delightful.
The experience we had at El Raval was as pleasant, professional, fairly priced, excellent food, and a great overall experience for us compared to anywhere we have dined around the world. It is a solid 5 star price, value, quality and excellence.

(Translated by Google) The place has just a few tables, which makes for excellent service. The waiter (I imagine he's the owner) is very professional; you can tell he loves what he does, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products and what he sells. The dishes are delicious, from starters, main courses, main courses, and desserts. All dishes are beautifully presented. Price is the least of it when you're getting a culinary experience. But the quality-price-service ratio is adequate. So, a 10.

(Translated by Google) Dinner with my wife. I'm a person who likes a fusion of flavors, but I think this time that fusion lacked a bit of sense, at least in the two starters I tried. The artichokes, for me, had too much of a vinegary taste, and the almond tile was overpowering. I also think the scallop paired very well with the veil of pancetta and the black rice, but the macaron was totally out of place. The main course we tried, the venison sirloin, was my favorite, with a bean base that made it very rich. The service and the location were very good. Thank you. Gracias

(Translated by Google) My favorite place to eat in Elche. A cozy atmosphere, unbeatable service, and the food is on another level. Whatever you order is incredible. In the photos, you can see the scallop and its flavors, the duck puff pastry, the artichoke, and for the main course, an Angus rib eye. If you could have seen how the bone came out, it was like butter, and after 72 hours in the oven, the flavor was so intense. To top it all off, a French toast-style brioche was the icing on the cake. Simply a 10-point dining experience.

Restaurant
Los 7 pecados is a well-priced restaurant located in the town center, offering a comfortable atmosphere and reasonably priced food. The only downside was the initial wait for the barman to finish his text before being acknowledged. However, this place is highly regarded for its homemade-style and gourmet cuisine, accompanied by excellent service from friendly staff at reasonable prices. Additionally, they offer an impressive selection of quality wines. This establishment also provides fabulous entertainment along with attentive waitstaff who create a pleasant dining experience.
Had a lovely lunch here. Some of the best croquettes that I have tasted in Spain. Everything was so nice🤩 But I forgot my jacket here… A grey one. Did you find it? Please contact me if you have it🙏🏻
Kristine F — Google review
As a person who has travelled the world and eaten in many places and experienced many cultures, I would simply say that 7 Pecados is exactly what it claims to be. Food a Spanish grandmother could produce but presented elegantly and with modern flares. Entertainment that warms the heart and undoubtedly rings the ears slightly. But this hub of friendship and inclusivity may not be to the liking of all, but absolutely should be on the shortlist of all at least to find out if it is to your liking. I would point out that there are predominantly 3-5 star reviews and here and there we see 1 or 2, I think the logical inference is that the 1 or 2 star reviewers have alterior motives or are simply repressed gays with a fear of exposure by expressing enjoyment. To summarise it is a camp, fantastic, culture driven and wholly inclusive place with food that wouldn't be out of place in Soho London. Well done 7 Pecados and ignore the unfortunate strategic poor reviews.

Good value restaurant in the heart of the town. A little disappointed as we arrived, we had to wait for the barman to finish his text before he acknowledged us. Apart from that it was comfortable and food reasonably priced.

Restaurante La Finca offers a delightful dining experience with a variety of European and Mediterranean dishes, including delicious vegetarian options and flavorful Spanish menus. The restaurant is known for its top-quality food and exceptional service, creating a welcoming ambiance for guests. Additionally, La Finca Golf provides an excellent golfing experience in the Alicante region, catering to both seasoned players and amateurs with its challenging yet playable course.
Had a fantastic time here! The food was spot on - beautifully presented, creative, and delicious. The staff were lovely, super friendly, and really flexible with our dietary restrictions, making everything so easy. Great atmosphere too. Can’t wait to come back!

I had the opportunity to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday in this restaurant. The XXL menu was exceptional, each dish was interesting, full of flavor. The service was attentive and very thorough. I really recommend this place
Łukasz C — Google review
Pure excellence! La Finca was a truly impressing and we loved the modern cuisine with all the small twists. Firstly the snacks - some blew our minds. Then one of their signature dishes - Asparagus Icecream with Beluga Caviar. Potato cream with yolk and more caviar and truffle. For main: Lobster tale with Hollandaise. Pigeon breast with a wonderful Calvados sauce and hints of fresh apple. And ofcourse the desserts: pineapple sorbets accompanied by Macron and other tastes. A beautiful combination. The service was impeccable, and thanks agains for the tour for the Kitchen. Worth the drive and more.

La Finca Restaurant in Alicante offers a dining experience that transcends the ordinary and enters the realm of poetic delight. The food here is nothing short of a masterpiece, with each dish crafted with such precision and artistry that it feels like a verse in a beautiful poem. The flavors are harmoniously balanced, creating an unforgettable symphony for the taste buds. Time seems to stand still at La Finca. The three hours spent dining here feel like a fleeting moment, a testament to the restaurant’s enchanting atmosphere and impeccable service. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience with their warm hospitality. I definitely will comeback.

Just wow! Michelin star restaurant making you levitate from your chair. A perfect symphony of flavours, freshness, perfection… 5 star to all, location, staff, decoration, privacy, a surrounding concept of an unforgettable lunch. Sommelier at its best, wine list is just amazing. Cannot choose the best dish from the tasting menu… can’t wait to go again. Lovely!

I’ve been to La Finca a few times over the past couple of years, and it never fails to impress me. Every menu I’ve tried is full of creative, beautifully presented dishes that really showcase local ingredients. I love that the chef is always mixing things up, but keeps some classics(like the asparagus ice cream) that we can’t get enough of! This time, we had the latest Uttopía menu, which was absolutely amazing! So many new dishes and exciting flavors accompanied by an excellent cocktail/wine selection. We came in starving and left completely stuffed and happy. The staff are fantastic too, friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable about every dish. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and well looked after. Definitely already looking forward to come back!

We had the Utopia L tasting menu. Delicious food beautifully presented, with exemplar service from all the staff. Overall experience was fantastic
Christian B — Google review
High expectations when we arrived. Restaurant with one michelin star let their guests wait outside. As Germans we arrived at 13.15 and the staff of the restaurant tells us to wait outside until 13.30 because they need to get changed. In what world does a michelin star restaurant make their guests wait outside in August at 40°C. The reply of the staff was we are getting changed and lunchtime and you have to wait outside until 13.30. Not even water or drinks are offered while 15 people are waiting outside... pathetic when you think about it... you are going to spend over 200eu per head and they make you wait outside like an animal. Way to go forward and love the way they treat their guest upon arrival. Now lets talk about the service in La finca. Thank god we did nor order the 12 course Menu otherwise we wouldnt leave until Christmas eve. The Manager on Duty called Martin talks his way out with every complain like a clown. Giving Stupid replys when we are giving constructive criticism. So we ordered the three course Menu with cheese platter. Its been 3 hours and we are still sitting ducks at the table. I dont know how this restaurant has gotten its Michelin star. Staff needs to wake up and the chef Susi Diaz definitely is running out of ideas. I tried the Toro Sandwich and i have tried better sandwiches/canapes at weddings. My most honest and sincere review "the place is just not worth it" Spend your money somewhere else. Looks expensive with all the small deco on the food but reality check is its not worth your money.

El Plantío Golf Resort offers warm and luxurious 1- and 2-bedroom apartments with fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, and balconies or patios. The resort is located at the El Plantio golf course, just three kilometers from Alicante, providing a unique opportunity to enjoy golfing, beach activities, and sightseeing. Guests can take advantage of amenities such as 24-hour reception, poolside services, parking facilities, and daily cleaning.
El Plantío Golf Resort is a peaceful retreat just outside Alicante, perfect for golf lovers and families. Spacious apartments with full kitchens and beautiful golf course views make for a relaxing stay. The golf courses are well-maintained and offer a great experience for all skill levels. The pool area is calm and inviting, ideal for unwinding. While the on-site dining is okay, having a kitchen lets you explore local restaurants nearby. Renting a car is recommended to get the most out of your visit.
Javier R — Google review
The hotel includes “Golf” in its name, but it turns out the golf course is actually managed by a different company, and you have to walk a bit to get there. Unfortunately, during our stay, the golf course was closed, so playing wasn’t even an option — which was quite disappointing. The food was average, nothing particularly memorable. On the positive side, the rooms are huge, and the bathrooms are well-equipped. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine — definitely convenient for longer stays. The swimming pool deserves a mention too — it’s massive for a hotel pool. However, it can get quite noisy at night, especially on the side facing the pool. Seems like there’s a bit of partying going on. The housekeeping staff were very kind and helpful, while the restaurant staff, on the other hand, were rather poor. Despite the downsides, I’d gladly come back if I get the chance.
Marcin P — Google review
The location is beautiful, and the waiters are great — but everything was ruined by a receptionist. We came to have lunch at the restaurant, choosing this place because of the pool. Before using the pool, we asked a waiter if it was allowed, and we were told it was fine. We were sitting calmly at the table, and it was mostly our child who was swimming. Then a receptionist came over and rudely told us to leave, saying the pool was “only for guests.” When we explained that we were also guests — eating at the restaurant — he responded in a very disrespectful way. Later, when we asked for the complaints book, we were told to “go back to our country.” A very unpleasant experience. The reception staff clearly needs proper training. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Mihail S — Google review
A much better golf course than Alicante Golf - better location, better kept, and the staff were welcoming and polite & know how to treat guests. Only downside was the time it took to play 18 holes - 5 hours and that was in a buggy. Not sure whether it was slow play ahead of us or too many golfers on the course. It didn’t really matter tbh as the views are beautiful as was the weather. Clubhouse has a patio area. Pro shop was happy to book us a taxi back into Alicante.
Clare — Google review
Great location, friendly staff! The apartments have everything you need, and the interior is especially clean. The balcony isn't really cleaned, and parking is a real problem. Keep in mind that the hotel charges you €5 per day if there are no spaces available outside. We were forced to pay for four days of parking for two cars, and only a day later were we told there was still free parking next to the resort.
Jerryson E — Google review
We arrived very late with 3 young children and had booked a room for 5, confirming two days in advance that everything would be ready, including the baby cot. Despite this, upon arrival, we were asked to pay double the room rate, as their system supposedly only recognized 2 guests—even though our booking clearly showed 5. After over an hour of exhausting back-and-forth at the reception, with our children extremely tired and cranky, we were finally allowed into the room. To our shock, the room was already prepared for 5, with the baby cot in place, proving that this demand for extra payment was completely unnecessary. This is an attempt to take advantage of guests’ fatigue and is absolutely unacceptable and shameful.
Céline D — Google review
Lovely golf course, can't comment on anything else, I've only played the course. Rubbish bins around the course would be great, I saw the group infront of us discussing rubbish in to the bushes. Cub house was great with friendly, helpful staff. It's a course we'll worth a visit if you're in the area.
Wayne T — Google review
Probably the worst resort/hotel i’ve stayed in. The bad, rooms are very very nosy, you can hear everything from other rooms. Be warned, if you stay on first floor and get a group of party goers on 2nd or 3rd you wont sleep. Resort needs a clean up, buildings are dirty, paint faded and sidewalks full of bird droppings. Rooms are big but dirty sofas, old furniture and lack of any decor make them look real bad. Breakfast is ok once you get around the 30kids running around. First and last time, did not pay to stay in a zoo.

Baños Árabes is a lovely and interesting place with free entry and friendly staff. It's worth a visit, even in the winter months, as the entrance is located in the square. The mysterious atmosphere and historical delight make it an excellent visit, especially if you use the virtual reality app on your mobile phone for an immersive experience. Although you can see everything in about 10 minutes, it would be nice if the exhibition was also available in English.

Beautiful location, great food, fantastic service! Why does this restaurant don’t have a Michelin-star? They deserve the Michelin-star for sure!
Dominiek D — Google review
Not the service you would expect from a 4* hotel restaurant. Even if you are a guest at the hotel walk in locals will get better attention. Strong perfume in staff might be overwhelming but would prefer that over other strong body odors as we experienced. Food mostly dull, not well cooked or seasoned. Sometimes not even corresponding to the description on the menu. Bad quality/price ratio. Disappointing experience.
PD C — Google review
We had several meals here whilst staying at the hotel. The food was always excellent but the service really could be improved a great deal. Staff seemed more interested in the computer than the customers, though all of them were pleasant and helpful. Some highlights - foie gras terrine, asparagus and goats cheese salad, hake with black garlic, abanda rice. Also try the Sein wine.
Richard H — Google review
They had us wait 20 minutes before telling us essentially they had a table if we were staying at the hotel but no availability if we were not. It is understandable to have no tables but this could have been managed differently. Presumably they do other things better.
James D — Google review
Marvellous very beautiful and intimate place with excellent food! We tried two different fish dishes and both were absolutely delicious and as the wine, inner/outside decoration wonderful! The hotel, swimming pool and palmtree garden are really amazing and all is really worth more than a visit! We had our car in the hotel's 2 levels' private parking, went to visit the main highlight next door, the garden Huerto del Cura, with all kind of palmtrees that had been already visited in 1894 by Sissie, the empress of Austria- Hungaria... I highly recommend more than a visit, a dream stay at the hotel that is really worth any seasonal price around 90€... the best place in the south and next to Alicante to visit and the best we experienced so far! In the same area, is the olive oil factory The Tendre from 1836!

The food isn't bad, but it's nothing special, and the prices are exorbitant. When we went, we ordered a couple of waffles and a couple of burgers, and it came to almost €15 each. The place is not to sit and be there, it is one of those traditional waffle points where you take it with you, the price is great, and the workers are very friendly. There is a variety of things, both salty and sweet. crepes, waffles, hot dogs, potatoes, hamburgers and much more Much for little. (Original) Productos buenos y baratos.

Mediterranean restaurant
If you're looking for a dining experience that combines the charm of the 1920s with modern culinary delights, look no further than Monumental Restaurant. Nestled near the Replaceta de la Fregassa, this gem offers an impressive gluten-free and vegan menu, ensuring everyone can indulge without worry about cross-contamination. The daily menus are not only delicious but also perfect for sharing among friends or family.
Great place to have lunch. We seated inside against our initial plan as the terrace was scorching hot - the interior has a pleasant, Parisian vibe. Good food! I had shark pasta, entrecote and finally a flan. Left feeling full and happy.

Wheelchair accessible (including toilet). Gluten-free and vegan menu available. English menu available. Outside and inside seating available. The menus are a nice way to share a bit but enjoy your main dish for yourself. The portions of the starters are quite big, so if you're three people, I'd recommend two share one Menü where all mentioned starters will be served and the third person only orders a main dish and shares the starters with the other two. If that third person is still hungry after the main dish, of course, a desert can be ordered as well. The atmosphere is lovely, with French music and interior furniture commemorating the 1920s. Located a bit away from the main square, the atmosphere is calmer, especially if you're seated inside. Concerning our food: the starter of fried eggplant with soy sauce, honey and sesame was delicious - really recommendable. We didn't like the cheese fondu with bacon and tomato too much. Also the Cesar salad with croutons and the egg with bacon (and fries) were not our favourite but ok. The red tuna with algae and the porc solomillo had a good taste and were nicely prepared. The vegan burger tasted ok: I missed a bit of sauce and would have preferred a vegetable patty instead of tofu - it doesn't tell on the menu - but ok. Unfortunately, only the patty was hot, while bun and tomato were not. :-( The deserts, Oreo Cheesecake and chocolate brownie, made a good ending! In total, there are things to be improved, things we subjectively would do differently next time, but also things which we really liked. It's up to you: Try it!

We went for lunch with family. We had the menu of the day, but the quality was excellent. Everything is finished so I can’t add a photo. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Fantastic experience, can't fault the menu of the day for €14.50, 3 courses plus drink and a coffee. Very enjoyable, will definitely back for evening meal 😋

We went back in July 2021 and it's just as great as it was before. Just look at the menu and you'll be amazed! If you don't know what to choose as main course: take the arroz! ---- I posted my 1st review about this restaurant (here below) about a year ag, and 12 months later I must say the restaurant is as good as it was when we discovered it! We’ll be back! ———————————— This place is really great. Firstly, it nicely decorated and looks great from the inside and the outside. Secondly, their dishes are even better than the decoration. Tasty, well balanced and delicious. I had a fantastic first dish with fresh sardines and guacamole. Mmm... And their (vegetarian) rice dish with artichokes and asparagus was at least as good as the first plate. Thirdly, the waitress and waiter we had were as nice as you can have them. Service-minded, o so kind with our 22 months old daughter and joyful. Great to see they work with a smile... Last but not least, in contrast with what the interior would suggest: it's more than affordable! They even serve a 3 course "menu del dia" at €10,90 between 14h and 16h. Amazing! Don't forget to reserve your table in advance or you'll have to wait!

good food and a lovely place to dine. we went for set menú €33 and starters we're fantastic, steak wasn't so good was a bit chewy and tough. dessert was disappointing after such good starters. I'd recommend and would return but wouldn't order their steaks or dessert, I'd go Valor for dessert.

Decent food and good service. Prices are reasonable

We booked our table online. We found ourselves almost contiguous to a table of 20 people who were celebrating a wedding (which is completely legitimate) while the part of the restaurant in which we were was almost empty. Due to the enormous noise generated by the table next door, we had to cut our meal short (impossible to talk to each other). When we asked why this seating plan, we were told that the empty and set tables were planned for the next day!!! This argument is totally invalid and the person in charge of the room should do some training in catering. I do not recommend.

Rice restaurant
Restaurante Cachito is a delightful culinary destination that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a vegetarian or a seafood lover, this charming spot has something for everyone. Guests rave about the brilliant fried artichokes and the flavorful vegetable paella, which pairs beautifully with their unique cheesecake boasting savory notes reminiscent of goat cheese—served warm for an extra treat!
This was our first time here but not our last as we live quite close. We came for the arroz and it didn’t disappoint. We tried the black rice and it was delicious. The calamari were excellent and the pulpo succulent. Service was friendly and efficient and the outside terrace warm enough on a January day. We’ll definitely return.

Been there for lunch, the place is known for their famous paella unfortunately it didn't capture my heart. The service is great, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. The atmosphere is good and you feel in a good restaurant. However, the food was a bit disappointing. I had better paellas and the restaurant pushes the paellas as one of their specialties. We had a Russian salad with their own signature and it was one of the best I had. Calamar we had was a bit disappointing as well and it was quite pricey. Another thing I didn't like is that on the menu they don't put the price for the fresh fish and when you ask the waiter about the price they also don't have any clue. Surely the chef or the manager can brief the tram before they start serving the clients so that the waiters would have a bit of idea when customers ask them about the price. Here comes the million dollar question, would I go there again? I think my answer is yes because they have a good menu and still plenty of things to try.

I visited there with the Word Paella Day team. Everything was amazing - food, staff, atmosphere, and especially the chef! Thank you very much for a wonderful and amazing welcome.

Perfect location, such a great dining experience. The service was fantastic and the food was cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend. The chef also came out to talk to us and asked for our feedback on her food. Great day!

An amazing stop, definitely worth travelling to. We are vegetarian and we had the best meal for a while, when it comes to a Spanish restaurant. Brilliant fried artichokes and vegetable paella for two. Followed by, not to be missed, strong flavoured cheesecake for me, if you like it savoury and cheesy z almost goats cheese flavour, this is best, served warm. Local, recommended brioche with custard and ice cream also hit the spot. I would highly recommend stopping by. Great, friendly, attentive service and accommodated our needs, with our poor Spanish, waitresses English was enough for us to communicate. We will definitely be back.

After several visits, we are still smitten. Best rice we have tried in a while and we live here and know our rice :) And the daily weekly lunch menu is a steal!
Diana S — Google review
Very disappointing experience, quisquilla was overcooked, gambas rojas weren’t fresh, paella was dry and oversalted. The service was awful, waited 1 hour 15 minutes for starters and snacks to be served, ordered for the kids beef sirloin they brought pork instead ,on top of all the chef was rude and didn’t even try to apologize!
