Kitzbuhel in 4 days

If you only have 4 days to spend in Kitzbuhel, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Kitzbühel is one of Austria’s most famous alpine resorts, known for its colorful medieval old town set against dramatic mountain scenery. In winter it offers extensive ski slopes and is home to the legendary Hahnenkamm downhill race, a highlight of the World Cup circuit. Summer brings hiking, cycling, and nearby mountain lakes, with cable cars providing easy access to panoramic trails. Throughout the year, upscale hotels, spas, shops, and restaurants give the town a polished yet traditionally Tyrolean feel.
With favorites like Badezentrum Aquarena Kitzbühel, Restaurant Hochkitzbühel bei Tomschy, and Leo HILLINGER Wineshop & Bar Kitzbuhel, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Landhäusl-Waschkuchl and Hotel Kaiserhof so you can get the best taste of Kitzbuhel while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Ski & Snowboard Areas
Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel - KitzSki is a renowned ski resort that offers a wide range of challenging slopes for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. With 233km of downhill skiing served by 57 lifts, the area caters to all skill levels and provides a thrilling experience from mid-November to mid-April. Additionally, visitors can enjoy toboggan runs, cross-country ski trails, and winter hiking trails.
What a beautiful little town and a great place to ski! We only stayed 2 days in Kitzbühel at the Henri Hotel (super close) but we had an awesome time. The town has plenty of shopping and some fantastic food. We rented equipment from Intersport which was super easy and an overall solid experience. It’s very convenient to get on the gondolas to go up the mountain and it’s a beautiful ride and view going up. There’s plenty of places to get drinks and food once you’re up the mountain and the food is pretty good! If you never went skiing at a place like this, it’s amazing. You see never ending mountains when you get up the mountain and it’s gorgeous. There are plenty of slopes for different skill levels and lots of lifts to get to different parts of the mountains. They have huge chair lifts that go up to 8 I believe and some have heated seats as well! We had a great time and definitely recommend coming here if you have the opportunity!

Really fine and big ski area. For me personally I don’t think it’s something extra, as some people talk about it. But very good overall.
Vojtěch — Google review
Resort and facilities deliver on its promise. Transport to and from is easy and convenient, be it arriving by train bus or car. Maybe expensive, but snow coverage, size, overall quality, lift system, scenery, and food outlets are pretty good. Decent red/blue ratio and off piste opportunities are on offer. Nice clientele and lively apres... We had 6 consecutive days of blue birds in the middle of january leading up to the FIS races, albeit at the expense of some gradual deterioration in conditions. S3 bahn/ Jochberg side offers wide and long runs. Skiing all the way down to the town and main lifts is possible. Recommended..

Fun ride to the ski run, lovely views and walks and a good café. ....and cows with bells!
Alison W — Google review
A great place for ski. The numerous slopes are well maintained, and for at least the two times I have been here The site wasn't crowded and there haven't been any line for the lifts.
דניאל ר — Google review
A really warm hearted place, although its very cold during winter times. We strolled between designers ski suits.
Elias M — Google review
Great resort with good lifts in a nice, quiet, beautiful and welcoming town. Was there during the week and it was not very crowded. Good food at base and huts. The runs were well groomed. The only regret is they we didn’t have more time there. Will definitely return. Loved staying at Gamshof hotel!
Joy T — Google review
Very nice place. The ticket is about 25 EUR but the view is splendid. It feels a bit expensive in summer however the view is very nice. There is no vegetarian restaurant at the mountain top. Hence I would suggest to carry our own food at mountain top. You might want to eat something at mountain top considering the view , which is fabulous. However only drinks are served which is not do good during lunch time.

Badezentrum Aquarena Kitzbühel

Public swimming pool
Badezentrum Aquarena Kitzbühel is a popular indoor swimming and wellness center located in the picturesque town of Kitzbuhel, nestled in the Austrian Alps. The facility offers a range of amenities for visitors to enjoy, including a heated family pool, a lap pool with an inflatable obstacle course, and two water slides. Additionally, there is a well-maintained sauna area with three different saunas, a steam bath, and a hammam.
Nice small facility after skiing in Kiztbuhel. There are 3 dry saunas, one cold room, two steam saunas and a roof terrance. The relaxing area is nice. Promo TV plays the best images of the ski resort. The sauna ticket includes the entrance to swimming pools (where you can’t be naked). People here are also nice.
Guo Y — Google review
Very basic swimming pool for the price, personel is poorly informed and unfriendly for the non-german speaking guests. It was very difficult to clear up the parking options, all signs are in german. The lady at the counter hates her job. The water was rather cold, and the air even colder. The tobogan area is also very cold. Don't waste your time, avoid this place.
Tudor A — Google review
Expensive for a very old swimming pool with very unfriendly staff!! €19 for one adult
Connie — Google review
Not very friendly staff, no English spoken. Very strict Sauna with lots of rules no swim wear allowed. At 3 checks in 20mins was performed. Least relaxing sauna I've evere had.
Moto E — Google review
The review is for the indoor section only. Nice place. But pretty basic. One big pool, a hot tub area (with no jets other than pretty gentle streams from a few places), baby pool with a slide, and outdoor pool and playground (indoor). We came around 7. The pool closes at 8:45. However the playground section got closed before that (not sure why). Overall, looked clean. one thing for the management to consider: The changing area could use a non slip tiles or adhesives. When it gets wet (and it does) it is dangerously slippery. We fell.
Maria S — Google review
Aquarena has a very nice sauna, swimwear is not allowed in the sauna. We didn’t use the swimming pool. In the swimming pool is swimwear obligated. The sauna has 3 different sauna. 1 big sauna where they do every 30 minutes pouring sessions. They have also a small bio sauna and than an other small sauna. There is 1 steam bath and 1 nice hammam. The staff is very kind and you can ask for a cup and refill your cup with cold water. There is also a little terrace with a nice view of the mountains. There is also a very cold bath perfect after a hot sauna. You can rent towels and flip flops. Price of the sauna is € 22,90. A 2 hour ticket cost € 14,80. After 6 pm the price is €13,70. The sauna is open till 9 pm but at 830 pm we had to leave already because it was not possible anymore to take a sauna. If you rent towels/flip flops don’t throw your receipt away because you will need it when you give your towels/flip flops back.
Anthonyponette — Google review
First of all: if you rent towels or swim suites, keep the receipt for that, otherwise you'll get into trouble when it's about getting deposit back. The guys at the entrance won't mention that probably. Sauna is ok, but many tourists who don't know how to behave in a sauna and the "water on the hot stone" procedure (Aufguss) is automatic. Means, not really satisfying. Pool is 15€ and that's not worth it. If you go there, take the sauna + pool choice for about 22€
Sascha K — Google review
Pool is great. Receptionist was great. The service in the sauna was terrible. I am been to Kitzbuhel for 23 years, and I went to sauna once. I did not know the rules. We went with swimclothes & flipflops, as I saw multiple people do. Nobody told us that we could not do that. After an hour, out of nowhere, a woman yelled in German. We didn't understand it well. She showed no respect whatsoever. I would recomment the pool. I wouldn't recomment the sauna. Although the facilitics are decent. Service was terrible by that woman. If she just was patience and explained it, I wouldn't mind

Nestled in the heart of Kitzbühel, Restaurant Il Gusto is a delightful haven for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. This charming pizzeria offers a menu brimming with traditional specialties, from delectable pasta dishes to classic antipasti like mussels and bruschetta, not to mention their mouthwatering pizzas that transport you straight to Italy. Absolutely brilliant place. Marie and her team create a very cosy place. The atmosphere is great, the food is excellent and the service is fantastic! Make sure to reserve a table, they are full all the time, and you can see why.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Italian cuisine with traditional recipes that taste just like the dishes in Italy. Homemade dishes using top-quality ingredients. Cosy, welcoming atmosphere with the option to sit indoors or outside. The staff are genuinely kind and attentive. A real gem with very fair prices given the quality.
Julia K — Google review
The pizza was really good, and the pasta was delicious too! You can taste the authenticity and quality of the ingredients. Plus, it’s great that you can also buy traditional Italian products here. Highly recommended for lovers of Italian cuisine!
B K — Google review
Burrata was normal. The pasta was really bland and the lasagna was even more bland and didn't taste like anything. Nevertheless the tiramisu was really good and well made. The seats outside were really nice. The service was really good.
Vaino V — Google review
The food in general is okay. Not impressive but still decent in some sense. However, it took us an hour to wait for the food to come which is quite long coz we’re exhausted after ski and still have to wait for a long while to eat which makes the whole thing slight unpleasant.

Get the rosemary focaccia to start! So good with the fresh olive oil. Good prices for pasta. The homemade pasta is so fresh 🤌 🍝 The carbonara is fantastic, cheesy and rich, and the bolognese was classic and delicious. The staff was so kind and helpful (Matteo was always ready to answer questions and very quick service). I’d come back here in a heartbeat! Love this place! ❤️

The service was very late since there was a very big grıup of 15 people. We get our meals after 1 hour we have ordered. After we finished our meal we wanted to have sone deserts and they said thay the kitchen is closed. They may make an exception for us to make some deserts since we have wted too long for the meals.. Nor a happy night for us..

Hotel Kaiserhof in Kitzbuehel offers a cozy stay with country-chic rooms and a rustic-chic restaurant and wine cellar, where guests can enjoy free breakfast. The hotel's kitchen chef, Ernst Kostenbaumer, excels at translating the grand tradition of Austrian cuisine into contemporary form. The hotel is located just steps away from Hahnenkamm Ski Area and Hahnenkamm Cable Car, making it an ideal choice for mountain enthusiasts.
A charming hotel with a great pool and spa area. I particularly enjoyed the steam room and infrared sauna, which were a highlight. The staff was warm and welcoming. While the restaurant’s menu was limited, the steak and fries are a reliable choice. The lobby cafe is decent, but for a standout hot chocolate, head next door to the gondola station’s lower floor, where the espresso is also excellent. This hotel shines for its prime location, perfect for skiing, and is just a 10-minute walk to shops. Keep in mind, the town tends to close early, so plan accordingly. The rooms are comfortable with good pillows and lovely balconies.
Derek I — Google review
Excellent hotel with wonderful staff! I stayed there for a conference and loved their hospitality. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The dine-in experience was also nice with only a few vegan options. The hotel is situated at a prime location in Kitzbuhel.
Devanshu S — Google review
Lovely hotel with a rustic style, friendly service, clean, very centrally located. The pool and the sauna are great. The breakfast is pretty good and the reception is always up for a friendly chat.
MK — Google review
We've just returned from this hotel following a 6 night stay The Hotel is nice, very good location, near cable car and old town. We enjoyed breakfast which had a good selection of local foods. There is something for all tastes. We've tried the a la carte menu as well but we found it average. The waiting staff were lovely and very accommodating with us and our 2 year old son. The lady in reception was very nice and helpful, rooms were cleaned every day and we were very happy with the cleaning service. The only reason I am scoring this review 4 stars is because I've got charged for parking our rental car on the side of the hotel. I believe that this should be included in the price or offerred as part of our stay like in most hotels in Europe do. October is not even high season so not a lot of people to use the car park. Overall we would go back and we did enjoy our stay, staff were all polite and welcoming.
Lucian B — Google review
Everything is amazing! Hotel interior looks retro BUT everything was just amazing. clean room&toilet. Exceptional service. So comfortable and homey feeling…excellent location…It’s perfect for us - family! The staffs were superb! friendly and helpful❤️❤️ We were in 103/105/107… 103 room was so spacious and that was a bonus point…really nothing to complain about

When I stay at a hotel, they always get a bonus point when I see bacon and eggs for breakfast, especially when my wife and I go hiking all day. An extra point here. The food is exceptional and the dinners are really a plus. Take care of the Chef, because he is the man All the staff are attentive and super polite and that makes all the difference to me The entire facility is incredibly clean. There is a small pool but it is great to relax after a day hiking in the mountains. There is a sauna, a small gym, a bar, and a very relaxing reading area. There is a train station nearby and a cable car (which runs through both hotel buildings and that's really cool) to the mountains just a few steps from the hotel... very convenient We enjoyed a very calm week as summer ended, but I look forward to returning again during the winter
Cleber F — Google review
Great hotel , great location , very helpful staff ! Highly recommended both for summer and winter season!
Bogdan T — Google review
A really lovely hotel. The room (superior) was spacious and had a lovely view of the Horn and the cable car. The room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and was tidied beautifully each day. The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of options ranging from cooked eggs and meat to cereal, fruit, pancakes, cheese, pastries, cakes and cold cuts with salads. There was the option to have breakfast and dinner indoors or outdoors, if the weather allowed. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent - next to a train station and cable car, but also a quick walk into the town centre. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again. The hotel also arranged (without us requesting) for a lovely birthday cake!

The restaurant uses only the finest ingredients and incorporates herbs to create a delightful culinary voyage for patrons. In addition to its exceptional dining options, the hotel provides top-notch amenities such as a spa and fitness center.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Exceptional Stay at Das Reisch From the moment we arrived at Sporthotel Reisch in Kitzbühel, we felt warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for. The atmosphere blends elegance with comfort, and every detail reflects the passion and pride of the Reisch family. The staff was outstanding. Attentive without ever being intrusive, and always ready with a smile or thoughtful suggestion (Such as floor fan). It’s clear they love what they do, and it made us feel less like guests and more like part of the family. If you’re considering a visit to Kitzbühel, do yourself a favor: stay here. It is a five-star experience in every sense of the word.

Location is great. Rooms are ok although I have paid a lot of money vis-a-vis competitors. However they have no idea about hospitality whatsoever! Being an old establishment does not qualify you a good hotel. Check-in was odd. She was not even happy to see us. They do not even care to ask if your stay was good or not. It is as if they do not even like to see guest around. Waiters in the bar are almost rude! I felt very uncomfortable during my stay. Hotel is not children friendly. Kitzbuhel is another story. As someone been to more luxurious and high profile destinations, I can easily tell you that it does not worth it. Do not come all the way down there. You will not be welcomed at all.

Great hotel! We highly recommend this hotel right in the center. Friendly staff, who include Sandra at the front desk who is FANTASTIC, HELPFUL, and KIND! She has customer service down to an art form! Eva is extremely helpful too at the front desk. All in all , great staff, service, food, amenities, etc. We will DEFINITELY be back. Close to the center shops. Clean rooms! Highly recommend this place!

The bed was King size and very comfortable the bathroom was spacious with a shower sink large mirror and toilet there was plenty of storage for all our clothes all in all it was very comfortable. As for the food it was excellent dinner we were eating of the restaurants ALA carte menu and the service was quick and nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast was was just as good with plenty of choice for all tastes. The reception staff deserve a special mention as they couldn't do enough to make our stay special weather it was a friendly hello or good morning or offering helpful suggestions of things to do.we will definitely be returning to the Das Reisch

We stayed here last week and enjoyed the hotel very much. The staff are wonderful, everyone wants to make sure you enjoy your stay. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The Spa area was very nice to relax in after long walks in the mountains. We enjoyed every breakfast and dinner as the quality and presentation was 5 star in every way. Thank you all so much and hopefully we will be back again soon.

My wife and myself had a very enjoyable stay at the Sporthotel Reisch. Staff were efficient, food was of a high standard, table service was excellent. Our room service was first class with clean towels everyday, no faults could be found. The only black mark was noise from the disco on Friday/ Saturday nights which kept wakening my wife until 0230hrs on Friday.
Malcolm B — Google review
Very stylish, modern and comfortable rooms with a great bar area for watching the world go by. Only slight issue was the snack bar across the road still serving noisy customers at 4am meant we had to have our window shut on a warm evening. Otherwise a lovely hotel in a great location, a stone's throw from the main street.

Stayed in Room 202 for 5 nights. Incredible VIEW! So any room on that side of the hotel has an AMAZING View! The closet space is wonderful. The Bed was comfortable! Loved the little pillows, I used between my knees. The Staff is so helpful and friendly! Recovering from ACL Surgery and they were nice enough to make me an ice bag on multiple occasions. The breakfast was wonderful and all the staff in there was always so nice. There could be a bigger space with a few more workout equipment, but was glad to have a bike. The wellness Spa was also a wonderful relaxing area. Overall, my five night stay was a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay again.

Nestled within the charming Hotel Schwarzer Adler in Kitzbühel, Neuwirt is a culinary gem that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. This vibrant 130-seater restaurant showcases a refreshing departure from traditional fine dining, focusing instead on hearty classics like Wiener Schnitzel and Tafelspitz. Under the guidance of chef Alexander Knelle, guests can indulge in an array of dishes that celebrate both Tyrolean heritage and innovative vegetarian options.
We were having lunch at the Neuwirt and it was remarkable. The place it self is very warm cosy charming and finely decorated. Then the food is outstanding. The Kraft rind soup is simply the most delicious I ever had , and I have tried a lot . Anything you choose in the menu ( we came two times) is beyond delicious and fine . I recommend highly the ginger lemon tee served with fresh honey. It’s simply divine! The rosti was wow . The beef salad was wow. The veal meatball so tender wow . Everything is to be tried. A big thank you to the amazing chef ! Well and to make people completely happy the service is very wonderful. I cannot think about Kitzbühel without this place anymore .

Not a great value for money option and a service that’s is not akin to Austrian hospitality in general. Food was overpriced (on average +€20 starters; +€35 mains courses) and not impressive at all, either too rich (and salty), or borderline tasteless. Staff was poorly trained and confuse, with dishes taking very long to arrive and not very polite. Wine list also needs improvement, with more quality affordable wines (French and Italian wines on average €80-90/bottle).
Victor F — Google review
The food was good but not excellent. Comparing against some of the photos from other reviewers, we may have been under served wrt to the tartar. We service was quick but rushed. We ordered our appetizers or first course but the order taker seemed offended that we did not place our full order at the same time. He never came back to the table and someone else provided service the rest of the time. We saw other tables receiving great service with the staff having drinks and taking shots with them. We also had the only non-white dinners in the place. Most strangely, the soufflé was NOT a soufflé in any way shape or form. It was just a pile of chocolate pudding. All it all it was a fine dinner. Nothing that would rise to the level of 490€ for two adults and one child. Would suggest anywhere else for an elevated dining experience.

During a stroll through Kitzbühel we decided to have dinner in Restaurant Neuwirth and it turned out to be a great decision. The prices are elevated but the taste and quality of the food is outstanding. Both visually preparations and taste of the dishes were excellent. I also liked that even though it seems to be a high class restaurant, the restaurant itself and the staff are down to earth. This creates an easy atmosphere, away from the often snobbish deluxe restaurants. Only negative point: The served bread with butter and oil coming with our Apero was added with an additional cost on the invoice. That caught us by surprise! I'm ready to pay more for great service and great tasting food, but sliding this in/on the table without saying a word that this costs additionally is a deception. Such a tourist trap is definitely not needed, especially when I left a great tip. Takes away the 5 star rating.

Worth a visit if you are in the area. Very interesting menu items, which include lobster, snails, truffles, different kinds of fish and meat. We liked everything we ordered, and will be coming more.
Anna K — Google review
Very nice restaurant with nice ambience as well as service and high quality food. Can recommend both the Fleischlaberl and Tafelspitz - great taste and fairly priced compared to other meals on the menu. Just to mention: the restaurant should avoid making a stingy impression on its guests. Tab water costs 4€, the obligatory bread “Gedeck” at 5€ is very small, Schnitzel costs around 40€,…

Amazing food, great service, great atmosphere. Excellent price value - not cheap though (except for desserts), but totally ok for Kitzbühel & more than ok for the quality of food you get. Fish Soup, Tartar & Strawberry Sorbet were absolutely amazing.

Nestled in the Austrian Alps, Wildpark Aurach in Kitzbuhel offers a picturesque setting for animal lovers. Situated at an elevation of 1,100 meters, the park is home to over 200 animals including deer, peacocks, lynx, yaks and monkeys within a game enclosure. Visitors can stroll among the freely roaming animals or opt for a horse-drawn carriage ride.
Amazing place where they keep the balance between nature and humans as good as possible. Animals have access to natural resources of water, to places where they can chill without being bothered. The views from all the different places on the route are amazing, it gives you a small and easy impression on all of Austria. The few negative reviews abt this place testify mostly to the fact that humans have lost their touch with nature. I come from the Veluwe, another place in Europe where deers are still living in nature. But I never could connect with them better then here in Austria. I'm so blessed to have been here. Thanks and love from the Netherlands 🙌💚

A beautifully maintained wildlife park nestled in nature, perfect for spending 2-3 hours with children. Enjoy leisurely walks while observing fascinating animals in a serene and natural setting. Playground and restaurant available on site.
Ivana N — Google review
This wildlife park has so many animals: goats, deer, donkeys, and much more. You can get really close to many of them, they practically walk right into you, which is very funny. We happened to arrive just as they were being fed, and it was so much fun to see so many animals together at once.
Larissa V — Google review
Nice tour with the kids, many wild animals walking free. You can spent 2 hours there. Restaurant and kids playground at the entrance.

Big park on a hill. Free roaming goats and deer. They also have many other animals. If you ever want to play sound of music this is the place. Great place and cute donkeys!

Incredible place to go to! The view was amazing, I can’t believe how lucky we were with the weather! The animals seem to be well taken care of, the goats and donkeys like to cuddle and our 3year old boy was very happy, and so we’re we. I recommend this place 100%, since it is such a good price and quality value.

Very nice casino. The atmosphere is really nice and friendly. The personnel also is very friendly and in for a short chat. You can play several standard casino games like roulette, blackjack and poker. And then there are also enough slot machines.

DAS NEUE GREIF

Restaurant
Italian restaurant
Greif Restaurant offers a unique culinary and entertainment concept where everything is about sharing, from wine and delicious food to good vibes and new friendships. The innovative concept seamlessly integrates the digital world and exciting features into the restaurant experience. Guests praise the amazing drinks, well-trained staff, and vibrant atmosphere. While it can get crowded during parties, overall, visitors love the place for its great music, attentive staff, and absolutely delicious food.
**Please realize the Restaurant & Menu has been upgraded & UPDATED...I will post pictures with this review. It's not a Pizza place anymore....go to Centro or S'Kitz if that's what you want. We had an excellent dining experience across the board, no wonder....Paolo & Fiore are here!!! This was our first visit to Das Neue Grief....Federico was extremely friendly by welcoming us inside and showing us around in the inside bar & different dining areas.....he is not just a waiter, but a waiter who's artistic work graces the walls of the restaurant with contemporary flair and vibrant colors. Each dining section of the restaurant has a different personality...so sit where it most suits you. Many gravitated to the large, back area where Federico painted a turquoise wall of ocean with boats, we sat in a smaller area with dim lights and exceptional service by Fiore. Our whole Steinbutt was cooked by Andrea, Mediterranean style from the oven and was filleted tableside and was the best we've ever had....it's pricey but worth it. Here you get what you pay for, versus some other places. The wine list compliments the food being served, and the beer flows from the tap from the bar. Super cozy atmosphere and can accommodate larger groups and couples as well! They also have a Mittagsmenu offering changing lunch specials at a reasonable price. The most important task for Das Neue Grief is to distance itself from the former Grief menu which should be deleted and not confused with the much better restaurant menu now. We are so happy to see Paolo & Fiore relocated here & establishing this restaurant as a cozy, delicious locale in the city. Spread the word!!! See you soon, Kristin & Christian G.
Kristin G — Google review
Poor experience. The portions were incredibly small (7 pieces of ravioli for €20) and charged €10 for two small vases of water although we asked for tap water. The ravioli tasted like something I could make from a packet. The wine glasses weren't clean and neither were the replacement glasses which we requested. The staff were friendly and the restaurant ambience is nice but I wouldn't recommend it.
Ruth — Google review
Stopped here for an early drink as it looked like the vibes were solid. They allowed dogs for people sitting outside which was nice. However, service was quite slow and not very attentive. We walked in to ask for a seat and when we asked the person behind the computer was quite rude and not welcoming. Our waiter was nice and helped us find a spot, but looked like he needed someone else to help him as he was covering quite a few tables. It took quite a while for us to get a beer or hot wine so service was a bit slow. We did go again for dinner a few nights later and the service was better. Food was solid and not overly salty which seems hard to find. We had a great time and the staff was friendlier.
Hiroshi T — Google review
First of all there is NO PIZZA. The place changed completely but kept the same name. The place has no drink menu. Yup, want a beer? Guess how much it will cost. Portions are medium at best. They charged each of us 4 euro for “table setting”. I’ve never seen this in my life, and it was not said or written anywhere. Only upside is that prices are average.

We arrived in kitzbuhel and almost everything was closed on the Monday evening. We walked passed Das Neue Greif and decided “you can’t go wrong with italian”. And you truly can’t! The kids lasagne was so delicious, I was snacking on it before my food arrived. We had the Argentinian tagliata and a ragu pasta. The meat quality was absolutely incredible!!! We will 100% be back while we are here this week!
Shannon S — Google review
LOVED THIS PLACE! we went back three times for dinner, had my birthday dinner there too! The restaurant looks great, good music, great and attentive staff, and of course the food was absolutely delicious! Had to have the steak filet twice, it was sooo good. My husband had the amatriciana, pizza diavola, the shrimp (starter) and I had the burrata (starter), spaghetti bolognese, everything was fantastic! On my birthday the staff were super cute, and I got a very tasty brownie with fresh fruits, still can’t believe they kept in mind that it was my birthday! Hands down the best restaurant in Kitzbühel, totally recommend it, and for sure we’ll be back.
Vanda — Google review
Amazing don’t miss this Don’t forget to book and to try the truffle Pommes Amazing drinks well training staff and amazing atmosphere don’t change anything all the Greeks here make the change with their nice smile and ready to help mentalities. Something during parties are a bit crowded and they may be a bit slow understandable but an extra pair of hands wouldn’t be bad But overall you can’t leave this place with a bad taste in your mouth
Stela N — Google review
Great blend between a restaurant and a lounge vibe. The music was good, great service, and the food was tasty. It's pricey, but worth it if you're looking for a more happening restaurant.

Austrian restaurant
Located in the Old Town of Kitzbuhel, Huberbräu-Stüberl is a quintessential Germanic beer tavern housed in a medieval building. The restaurant offers locally-brewed Huberbrau beer and hearty dishes such as schnitzel, grostl, and grilled chicken. While ski boots are not allowed inside, guests can enjoy their meals at outside tables or opt for takeout to savor alongside their beers.
Nice cafe in the Old Town. Food, particularly the Goulash, was outstanding. Indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and seats were comfortable and views were good. Only drawback (and this is not the fault of the cafe) was local maintenance on street was quite loud during times of their work.

Spent New Year's Eve at this charming Austrian spot and it was a treat! The price was fair, the service lovely. They even accommodated my boyfriend and me at a big table, allowing us to celebrate in style. It was a tad noisy, but that added to the cozy ambiance. Amidst the revelry, the warmth of the place made it a memorable night. If you fancy a lively but snug New Year's celebration, or a nice warm typical meal this spot is perfect

Lovely place in Kitzbühel! We visited some friends and one night we wanted traditional Austrian food. When we first arrived there were no free tables, so we started with beers outside, loved it! Then we all had Wiener schnitzel and it was all we could have ever asked for. We finished the meal off with some apfelstrudel and vanilla sauce. Amazing meal and great people, will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely exact as expected and hopes - a beautiful and tasty Wiener schnitzel, made with veal and fried in butter. There could be a bit more potatoes and jam, but the taste was excellent. It’s a traditional Austrian/Vienna dish and the restaurant didn’t disappoint. I can recommend going here - great food and service! 💪🏼

This restaurant we discovered during our ski trip offers delectable, flavorful, and authentic cuisine at fair prices. The menu features classic dishes like schnitzel and bratwurst, as well as stews, soups, pasta, and scrumptious salads, catering to every palate. The food is refreshingly uncomplicated, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and prepared to perfection. We had the pleasure of dining here twice and were thoroughly impressed by both the mouth-watering fare and the selection of beers. The staff was affable and attentive, ensuring our orders were served promptly. Overall, we highly recommend this spot for anyone in search of a satisfying and authentic dining experience

Hallerwirt - Restaurant & Appartements is a historic gem located in the heart of a village, surrounded by picturesque landscapes. For a different experience out of the town on the mountainside overlooking Aurach, definitely stop in for a lunch or dinner in a spectacular Tyrolian experience. We stopped on our way to Krimml. The beautiful set up instantly convinced us to try the food. the owner was very warm. The menu had very limited options. We wanted few vegetarian dishes, not much available. They claim that everything is organic and made fresh so the wait time for food was very very long. Food tasted very ok. the quinoa party was burnt. The pesto pasta didnot have enough pesto. Postion size in comparison to price was too small. They have worked really well on aesthetics but food quality can be improved.

Alpenhaus Kitzbüheler Horn is a charming spot offering traditional cuisine and a cozy sun terrace with breathtaking panoramic views. The restaurant also features a wide range of souvenirs, from T-shirts to mineral stones, making it an ideal place to pick up mementos. While it may be considered touristy, the amazing vistas and reasonable prices make it worth a visit. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly atmosphere and ample portions of comfort food.
Outstanding service. Very friendly and super fast. The best thing about the Alpenhaus is the regional products – a true treat for the taste buds. An absolute must! There is no mass processing here like at other large stations.

Yes, its touristy. But view is amazing. We had very good service and the food is very reasonable for the price paid. Large portions and yes ‘fast food’ like. You can get here with the cable lift for €27,50 per person or in Summer by car for €20 (limited parking)

Great pit stop on the way down from the horn. Large eating areas with great panoramic views from inside and on the patio of course. Good menu reflecting local culinary traditions and multiple options for beverages.

Solid food, friendly staff, and very kid friendly. It probably doesn’t rise to the level of a true destination restaurant, but if you are going to be going up the mountain anyway, you don’t have to worry about going up during mealtimes and not being able to get something to eat. The views are good and the kids will like the relaxed atmosphere and unchallenging comfort food. As I’ve noted elsewhere, like the rest of Austria, it can be challenging to find a vegetarian option and the only vegan option is a glass of water.

Kitzbüheler Horn

Mountain peak
Kitzbüheler Horn, a 1,996-meter mountain in Austria, is a popular destination for both winter and summer activities. The area offers cable cars, gondola lifts, skiing, hiking trails, and an alpine garden. Kitzbuhel is known as one of the largest and most renowned winter sports resorts in Austria. It has a rich history dating back to the 16th century when it prospered due to its copper and silver mines.
The Kitzbüheler Horn (also spelt Kitzbühler Horn) is one of the most important mountains in the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol, Austria, whose eastern flank lies near the smart ski resort of Kitzbühel. With a height of 1,996 m (AA) it only just misses being a 'two-thousander'. At the summit is a 102 metre high TV tower belonging to the ORF and known as the Kitzbüheler Horn Transmission Tower (Sendeturm Kitzbüheler Horn). The Harschbichl (1,604 m) is a sub-peak to the north which is also accessible. The mountain has several cable cars and gondola lifts and there is a panoramic toll road from Kitzbühel. There are also several mountain inns on its slopes. The so-called Alpenhaus (1,670 m (AA), 47°28′01″N 12°25′45″E) was in recent years the finish of the King Stage (Königsetappe) of the Tour of Austria cycle race. An Alpine flower garden (Alpenblumengarten) has been laid out at a height of 1800 m which, despite its name, has mountain plants from all over the world. Every year in August the International Kitzbühler Horn Race takes place. The route runs along the 7.4 km long toll road to the Alpenhaus. Its maximum incline in the closing stages is 22.4%. The record time to the Alpenhaus is held by Beat Bräu who completed the race in a time of 29:11 minutes. Numerous lifts have been built to support winter sports in the ski region of the same name. On the side facing St. Johann there is a mountain cart route. There is a small mountain lake level with the half-way station on the cable car from the village. Both peaks are heavily frequented, not just by hikers, but also by mountain bikers due to its good paths.
Ngo A — Google review
Beautiful view. But it is not necessary to go all the way up to the top of the mountain with a car.
Z. G — Google review
The best place to experience amazing views all around. And if you are doing skiing this is a very famous ski hotspot as well. You can take the cable car and easily reach the top. Or you can take hiking trails from the middle station of the cable car to the top as well. View from the top are absolutely breathtaking.
Ishanka H — Google review
Took me 90 minutes to run on top of it. Great mountain!
Łukasz B — Google review
Absolutely beautiful. Been thereid august, end of afternoon, alone with the wind and the cows and their ringing bells. It was magic. Alors a special climbing space for kids that must be tried !
Nicolas B — Google review
This is the highest point in the Kitzbühel area which can be reached by cable car. I took a cable car from Kitzbühel and a second one from the intermediate station at Pletzeralm. In total the cost was 29 Euros, less a 15% discount for over 65's on a Tuesday. I loved the gondola rides and the views. Located at an altitude of 1,998 meters, Kitzbuheler Horn in the Tyrol region is one of the most beautiful peaks of the mountains in Austria. This peak can be accessed via a cableway through Pletzeralm or you can climb from the Kitzbuhel countryside. The peak has a very beautiful view. South of Kitzbuheler there is a 1,772-meter Hornkopfli peak which can also be reached by a cableway. In addition to the beautiful scenery, at its peak we will find Gipfelhaus, a unique mountain peak house, with a chapel, a restaurant, and an Alpine garden. During the ski season, the mountains are full of skiers from all over the world.

Bodies of Water
Schwarzsee, a charming mountain lake just three kilometers northwest of Kitzbuhel, offers a serene escape with its dark green waters and mineral-rich setting. Visitors can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and fishing for carp and pike in the picturesque surroundings. The lake is also perfect for people-powered boating activities like canoeing and kayaking.
This thermal lake has a temperature of between 21°C & 27°C. There are changing rooms and showers for swimmers, as well as a water slide and a diving board. If you don't fancy swimming, there is a lovely 2.5 km walk around the lake, with plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view. There are various places where you can eat and drink. Other hiking routes diverge away from the lake, so your walk can be as long, or as short as you like. It is about a 30 minute walk from the centre of Kitzbühel.

Beautiful thermal lake. Plenty of hiking and hiking, swimming and running routes. A walk around will reward you with a bit of the forest. You will also see a lot of artwork and info on the environment along the way. Highly recommended.

A beautiful black lake with huge fish, don't know whether they are carp or pike. Surrounded by huge mountains and very cute alpen lodges. There are kids water slides, the adults can just jump into the water from the many jetties. Serviced by cafes which offer a variety of food and drink. This place gets very busy when the sun is out and extremely popular for sunbathing. Not to far from kitzbuhel and I would recommend the shortcut through the town, very well signposted

Absolutely worth the walk from town to come and experience this awesome view with the lake and mountains in the background. We’ll worth it to visit one of the café‘s or restaurants or even for sunbathing. A walk around will reward you with a bit of the forest. Specialty Museums
The Museum Kitzbühel, also known as the Museum der Stadt Kitzbühel, is housed in two of the city's oldest historic buildings and offers a fascinating journey through the history and culture of Kitzbühel. The collection includes paintings, exhibits, film installations, and audio presentations that showcase the town's evolution from Bronze Age mining to its prominence as a hub for winter sports.
This is a nice museum. Average entry fee (€17) and while it isn't a big place, it's well worth a tour. The staff speak excellent English, and are very helpful.

A great museum documenting the history of the city and its influence on skiing. Well done exhibits with interesting variety of artifacts. Highly recommend to visit while getting in a ski visit. Staff is incredibly welcoming - we could have done an audio tour but the signage had English language as well.

January 2022, Superb museum / gallery exhibiting the work of the Austrian Artist Alfons Walde. There is also an independent history of the town of Kitzbuhel and the development of Alpine Skiing. Well worth a visit. June 2022, still worth a repeat visit to see again the ever inspiring work of Alfons Walde.

Small but interesting collection, must visit for Alfons Walde fans
Olivia Z — Google review
Can’t honestly recommend this museum. It is quite small and doesn’t really do a good job of explaining Kitzbuhel’s history or relevance to anyone who’s not from here. Think of the 6.50 charge as a contribution to the town’s upkeep.
J. G — Google review
An excellent museum with lots of interesting exhibits and information about the local area and its history. The paintings were especially good. The one downside is that there are no toilets in the museum. It costs 7 euros to enter.

Located in the town center, CENTRO cafe bar restaurant offers a vibrant and dog-friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy Italian cuisine. The menu features a variety of pasta dishes, delicious fish and meat specialties, and their signature wood-fired pizzas. While there may be some waiting time due to its popularity, the food and service are well worth it. Visitors praise the attentive service from staff members like Cristina and Istvan who provide excellent recommendations for dishes such as gamberi (prawns) and calamari.
Ah, the waiting time... Yes, it's the downside of this popular spot. But trust me, the food and service are worth every minute in line. And hey, I went twice! That should speak volumes. Now, about the service – ah, let me sing praises! Amidst the waiting and queues (yes, they can be rather long), there was a bright star named Cristina, a Spanish girl who made our visits worth every second of wait. Her warmth, efficiency, and genuine care for every patron were simply remarkable, also her enthusiasm and recommendations added an extra layer of joy to our dining experience. Good Italian cuisine, exceptional service highlighted by the amazing Cristina, and yes, a bit of a wait, but oh-so-worth it! If you have the patience for a queue, you'll be rewarded with an Italian amazing food.

⸻ We went to the restaurant hoping for a nice meal, but the experience was anything but pleasant. The waitress was extremely rude from the start rolling her eyes when we asked questions and speaking to us with a harsh, impatient tone. What made it worse was that they let in other people who had arrived after us and served them first, while we just sat there waiting. We waited over 40 minutes just for someone to take our order, and the food never even came. After nearly an hour with no updates or apologies, we decided to leave. Terrible service and complete lack of respect for customers. Definitely not going back.
Halima — Google review
My mum and I shared a pizza and salad here for a light lunch during our holiday to Austria. Both the pizza and salad were really nice, and the service was perfectly good too. Unfortunately there is some major building work happening in Kitzbühel at the moment which made sitting outside a bit noisy and uncomfortable, but that isn't the restaurant's fault, I'd just recommend sitting inside while this work is going on. Nice and central location with a good view of the town.

⸻ We had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The place was poorly maintained, the service was incredibly rude, and the waitress seemed annoyed from the moment we walked in. She ignored our table, got the order wrong, and spoke with a careless attitude. After waiting far too long and feeling completely unwelcome, we decided not to eat and left without touching the food. Definitely not a place we would recommend.

Nice place to have a decent meal in Kitzbuhel. Located just in the center of can be very easily reached. Food quality was very good. Service was superb. Food was provided very quickly. Prices are okay. Ambience could have been better. We went there on a Saturday evening and it got very crowded very quickly and there was a queue outside waiting for a table.
Ishanka H — Google review
Our server, Istvan, gave some amazing recommendations and we were very happy with the gamberi (prawns) and calamari dishes as starters. Can't say enough about the excellent service as well.
Reza H — Google review
Nice place, good atmosphere and food at reasonable prices..what more could you want? If we had a gripe it's that we felt a little rushed out the door so they could turnover the table in this busy restaurant, but that's not a real complaint rather a sign of a successful restaurant. They don't take reservations to be prepared to wait with an aperitif before your meal.

Japanese restaurant
Asian restaurant
Zuma Restaurant Kitzbühel, located in the prestigious 5-star Hotel Weisses Rossl, is the first of its kind in the German-speaking region. This establishment offers Japanese cuisine of exceptional quality throughout the winter season. The menu is divided into three distinct sections: the main kitchen featuring a variety of contemporary dishes, a Sushi Bar, and a Robata Grill. Patrons can expect an array of delectable options that strike a harmonious balance between traditional and innovative flavors.
Our dinner was amazing! Marina was our waitress ,with many suggestions to make our experience great. She made us feel welcomed ! I highly recommend the Zuma Kitzbuhel!
Panos G — Google review
A night at Zuma Kitzbühel is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. The venue is effortlessly chic, blending modern elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of, thanks in no small part to our amazing server, Kate (Katarina). She was attentive, personable, and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the night. We started with the Shrimp and Cod Gyoza and Miso Soup, both of which were absolutely delicious. The gyoza had that perfect crispiness, and the filling was flavorful and well-balanced. The miso soup was rich, comforting, and everything you’d hope for. The Watercress Salad with Wasabi Dressing was a surprising highlight—refreshing yet bold. I felt the wasabi hit my nose, yet I couldn’t stop eating it. It was addictive in the best way! For mains, my husband ordered the Grilled Chilean Seabass with green chilli ginger dressing, which was executed flawlessly delicate, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I opted for two types of sushi, and while they were fresh, they didn’t quite meet the high standard I expected from Zuma. I’ve had better sushi elsewhere, and I think their strengths lie more in their robata grill and signature hot dishes. One area that fell short was the Gin Sours I ordered. A gin sours without a proper citrus punch is a miss. It lacked the expected balance, and I found it quite bland. A little more acidity would have elevated it. While service was generally excellent, there was a small issue with timing. My husband had ordered a side to accompany his seabass, but it never arrived with the main dish. By the time we inquired, he had already finished his meal. Kate was kind enough to check with the chef, and we were able to cancel the order, which was appreciated. However, it’s something the kitchen should be more mindful of—sides should complement the main dish, not arrive as an afterthought. We wrapped up our meal with the Zuma Deluxe Dessert Platter, and wow—what an indulgence! A beautifully presented mix of fresh fruit, sorbet, and two of their signature desserts, it was visually stunning and tasted just as good as it looked. It was the perfect way to end the night. Overall, we had a wonderful evening at Zuma Kitzbühel. While there were a couple of minor missteps, the atmosphere, service, and standout dishes made up for it. I’d absolutely return, but next time, I’d explore more of their signature hot dishes instead of sushi. With a few refinements, this could easily be a five-star experience. #ZumaKitzbühel #LuxuryDining #AlpineGourmet #FoodieExperience

Great Atmosphere, party style dining, with Zuma dining area taking ove the whole reception area of the upmarket Weiesses Roessel Hotel in Kitzbühel. Lighting a little bit too low. Great food, Chic place, but very expensive too. Dinner for 4 Pax of Sushi starters, seafood middles, then Australian Tomahawk Wagu main, with 4 pre dinner cocktails, bottle of house Saké (served warm), bottle of Mineral Water, 2 coffees all came to €750, plus tip. So be warned!

This is my third year travelling to Kitz and we always go to Zuma for dinner. It's always delicious, sometimes they may give you a bad table in the outsider zone (that's what I call it). But we have been lucky for the last couple of times as well as last year. I would like to note that the service has improved a lot, the staff was very attentive, quickly took away dirty dishes, added wine. When our time was up, we were moved to a comfortable area by the fireplace. Of course you need to book in advance, without a reservation you can't get through.

Valentine's Day dinner. We did not get the hot towels just as the other guests who came after us. The cocktails were approximately 70% ice - >very diluted. The shrimp was very good. The service was a bit rude when we asked how does the dessert look with seemingly annoyed replying "you will see" (not in a playful tone as one could imagine) and it was rather underwhelming in the end. The interior is however architecturally interesting. Well definitely worth experiencing - but only once. 😉

If you're a fan of the robata grill, and a Zuma enthusiast, Zuma Kitzbühel won't disappoint. The same great menu so if you've eaten at Zuma in NY or London you'll have a similarly great experience. Sushi was really good too. Food was excellent and service was very good. Great cocktails, nice sake selection, great music.

My 4th Zuma worldwide and this is the best Wagyu I’ve ever had. Everything else we’ve had was great also. An unpleasant surprise was that the waiter has mixed up our order twice, despite both times there was a conversation surrounding the dish, so it was especially hard to confuse. Gyoza were quite cold compared to other Zuma branches. Nevertheless, this was our best dinner in Kitz for sure. Prices are Zuma level, no big news here.

I enjoyed the dinner so much. we were 10 people they all had a fun time! all the dishes were big. There was a mistake and my dish was missed but everything is fine :) The service was amazing all of them were so nice and friendly. and the view and atmosphere is perfect!! i really recommend!!

I can’t judge the food as we couldn’t try it, so one star for that. The atmosphere is great and it’s directly next to the lake which gives a nice vibe, so one star for that. But I didn’t enjoy the service and would give zero stars for that. As we came inside to order some food we waited in front of the bar to get some seat. After some time the waiter came and let us decide where to sit. We chose next the to water. And then we waited and waited and waited and nobody came. While other guests (three different guests) came inside, got the menu and could order food we still waited for the menu. Time: 15 minutes. Observing the service people I could feel they were busy to chat with customers who already got served. So we left without ordering as we disliked this behavior.

Are you looking for a secluded spot to watch the sunset over a lake outside town🌅? Wrap yourself in a blanket, cuddle with your partner or play ice curling and watch the sun go down over the Black Lake while listening to some relaxing tunes. Meanwhile you can sip a detox herbal tea or any alcoholic beverage you want and nibble on some snacks. The inside restaurant looks promising with an elegant and stylish design where every detail is taken care of, to make your visit an unforgettable culinary experience. There is one downside to this beautiful spot. They “only” offer traditional meaty dishes with some vegetarian option (like Cesar salad) If you want to detox on meat or dairy for a while, are a plant-based eater or have a food intolerance, you’ll unfortunately not find much food here (unless they’ll prepare something for you). Hence I’ll give it only 4 stars.🥲 ✅ Stunning views in a relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Kitzbühel town. ✅ Blankets and heaters keep you warm while sipping your herbal tea (3.80€) being proud that you continue with your alcohol detox while every one around you threw their New Years resolutions out of the window😆) ✅ Friendly and kind service with great English skills ✅ Restaurant is located right next to a beautiful spa and wellness hotel - the Alpenhotel Kitzbühel ✅ Open Daily from 10.30 am - 11 pm (kitchen closes at 9pm) ❎ Only one vegan dish on the menu, a vegetable wrap. 🙁 I had the Marone soup (9.50€)🌰, which was delicious but it contained creme. ❎ No option to order healthy side dishes, such as sautéed veggies, crispy Brokkoli or oven roasted potatoes. Something you would expect from a restaurant like this. February 2023

Skischule Kitzbühel Rote Teufel is a top choice for various skiing needs in Kitzbühel. It's highly recommended for kids, off-piste snowsports, and private tuition. Visitors have praised the instructors for being kind, fun, caring, and supportive. Families with both adults and children had a great experience progressing from beginners to confidently skiing over 20km by the end of their time with Rote Teufel.
Great experience. I signed up for the three day adult beginner course, then added one extra day. On the first day, the group was divided by ability (some people had some previous experience). I was put with instructor Tom. We did two hours on the slope at the bottom then had a break , then continued to learn getting the basics down (snow plough and turning). Day two we headed up into the mountains and it was an amazing introduction to some of the blue slopes. We started to learn skiing parallel and using the chair lifts! The third day was my most challenging, Tom had quite a big group that day and managed to look after us all but he was also trying to teach us parallel turns so lots of new skills to get down. I was quite tired by the end of the day following some falls and Tom was great at letting me take it at my own pace whilst we explored different slopes I signed up for a fourth day which cost €75, and asked to go in one of the less experience/ a slower pace group and was put with Casper. This was a brilliant day, Casper helped build my confidence by taking me and the group repeatedly down the same few slopes. Casper also looked after another student who was sick and ensured she was taken care of. I really felt I made great progress with my parallel turning which gave me confidence to explore the slopes with friends on the next two days. Some tips that might be useful to know ahead of time if you're booking classes that I couldn't find beforehand: - Rent your skis from somewhere near the practice field, it's a bit of a walk when you're not used to ski boots (promise it gets easier as the days go by) - If you are a beginner, it's unlikely you will need a ski pass on the first day as the slopes at the bottom are free. (Save around €50). You can easily buy them on the day if this changes. - You will fall, and that's ok. I would recommend trying to attain a good base fitness level as it makes it easier to pick yourself back up and carry on. To prevent falling, lean towards the valley! Thanks to Brian who oversees the adult beginner instructors, Tom and Casper for a brilliant introduction to skiing. I'd definitely recommend getting lessons here.

Wonderful private lessons with Max Thompson. I had four days of 3 hour lessons with Max. I hadn’t skied in over 23 years so wasn’t sure how quickly I would pick up the skiing and felt a tad nervous. Max quickly put me at ease. He was meticulous in his care and attention, with constant reassurance and highly effective exercises to help me get back into skiing. He’s a super ski geek who brings together technique, safety and fun with lots of feedback and guidance. Each day was brilliant. I not only learnt a lot but also regained my confidence on the slopes. I’m hugely grateful to Max for making my ski restart such an enjoyable, empowering and perfect experience. I finished each day with a bounce in my skis. Thank you so much! A truly remarkable and natural instructor. Max you’re simple a super star!

We had 3 days of family morning lessons with Max from Rote Teufel. Max was fantastic with each of us. He was so professional, made us feel safe, taught us so much, encouraged us to improve and simply worked wonders with us all. He was great fun and we had the best time exploring the slopes with him !

Myself and my two children (one autistic and one has ADHD) had the most wonderful week skiing with Rote Teufel. All the instructors were warm, approachable and empathetic to the children's needs and never complained once about a few occasions where due to our family's neurodiversity, they definitely needed to go above and beyond the call of duty! Of the names I recall Victor was incredibly kind, calm and reassuring and nurtured my children's skills wonderfully in the first two days, also Tom and Johnathan were excellent too. Very warm, friendly and great Instructors. The children were able to learn well and were instructed thoughtfully and patiently. Having a team of highly experienced Managers, coordinators and Instructors to support the team fully like Felix, and Susie was also super reassuring. They clearly know what they are doing here and support all the children at all their stages really well. For example, my daughter had to go back a couple of stages the next day, but she was supported and encouraged so patiently that it was not an issue despite her dented ego! Both my children were ready on Tuesday to head up the mountain with the other children. As above, Sunday and Monday we're spent in Kinderland learning the basics and ski passes were not needed for this. For this time of year the 3+1 Ski passes were excellent value and meant they could go up the mountain Tuesday to Friday. Being late in the season, preparing for all weather's was a must. Beaming sunshine at the start of the week was followed by lower temperatures and snow at the end. Such a contrast but all made possible by patient and professional Ski Instructors, for whom nothing was a problem. The race on the Thursday was energetically commentated by the awesome Felix who had supportive and candid words to encourage all in what must have been a first Ski race for many children! My children love their bronze and silver medals and have them hung on their beds at home now! I extend my sincerest thanks to all who are involved in making this Ski School the wonderful and fun learning environment it is, and highly recommended Rote Teufel to all parents! The patience and care has supported a massive boost in my children's confidence and self esteem. Go team Rote Teufel! Communicate well with the team as you would with any school and they are only too happy to accommodate. I truly hope we will be back! 🏔️🚡⛷️

A great team to learn to skii or progress your skiing with! My wife and I did both the group class (expect a wait if you arrive at 930am sharp as they didn't start until 10am) and two private classes. The instructors were all friendly (thanks Tom in the group) and informative. We really enjoyed the private classes with Xander, we got awesome tips, got to go up the mountain and he kept it fun with challenges and positive attitude! He also managed to keep it interesting for both of us even though we were at different levels of skiing ability (one a beginner and one with some experience). Would recommend this school and Xander if he is free.

Absolutely 5 stars for Rote Teufel ski school and mountain guide in Kitzbühel. Our friends had recommended this ski school for private 3 hour session and we were so pleased we used them. Initially we arranged the booking via email and Viktoria in the front office was very patient and prompt replying to my questions and providing options - as our requested instructor was not available, and it was one of the busiest weeks of the season. We were assigned Andy - who is a highly experienced (18 years of instructing at Kitzbuhl) and he was absolutely perfect for our family of 3 adults - 2 x 55+, and a 23yo. He asked what we wanted to achieve in the 3 hour session and then planned the session to ensure everything was covered. Andy took us on 30kms of skiing- over many different runs to show us how the resort fits together, gave us very helpful instruction, and also a bit of history of Kitzbuhl - and was so patient and pleasant throughout. We felt very well looked after and never felt unsafe or pushed beyond our abilities - even on more difficult blacks. It was our first day in Kitzbuhl and their location near the main gondola base was super convenient. Although we chose to meet at the top of the gondola as wanted to do some warm up runs before the session. Thank you Andy and Rote Teufel. We highly recommend the service! To us - it cannot be faulted.

Kitz-Ski was a great place to learn to ski. Our ski instructor, Kristofer, was very professional and made the lessons fun. We were absolute beginners and after three morning lessons we were able to ski independently on the mountain runs. The ski school was flexible and didn’t charge us for the pre-booked lessons that we cancelled due to illness.
Louise M — Google review
I had a great experience at the beginners course for adults! Our instructor (I always forget his name, blonde, tall and Dutch) was the most patient guy ever and knew exactly what to do. Groups were split later on, depending on skill level. That way, the instructors could really focus on you individually. By the third day, I was decent enough at skiing to only fall once. The booking is flexible, service is great and prizes are absolutely reasonable.

Hahnenkamm, Kitzbühel

Mountain peak
Hahnenkamm, Kitzbühel is a renowned peak offering a thrilling ski resort experience and hosting annual alpine ski races. The slopes cater to skiers of all levels, from beginners to experts, and the area boasts 170km of prepared pistes for skiing and snowboarding. In the summer, visitors can hike to the summit from Kitzbühel and enjoy breathtaking views before taking a cable car back down.
The Hahnenkamm is a mountain in Europe, directly southwest of Kitzbühel in the Kitzbühel Alps of Austria. The elevation of its summit is 1,712 metres (5,617 ft) above sea level. The Hahnenkamm (German: rooster's comb) is part of the ski resort of Kitzbühel, and hosts an annual World Cup alpine ski race, the 'Hahnenkammrennen'. The most famous slope on the Hahnenkamm is the classic downhill course, the Streif (streak, or stripe), which is regarded as the most demanding race course on the World Cup circuit. The course features highly technical, 'fall-away' turns (reverse bank), many with limited visibility. It also contains several flat gliding sections, immediately preceded by difficult turns, placing a premium on both technical and gliding skills. A run on the mountain's northeast face, the Streif course, is mostly in the shade in January. It is usually overcast and coupled with fog, the result being 'flat' lighting which compounds the course's difficulty. The 'Hahnenkammrennen' are the annual races, held since 1931 and a fixture of the men's World Cup since its inception in the 1967 season. The races were originally held in March, and sometimes in early February (1949 & 1951). Beginning in 1953, the races at Kitzbühel have been held in mid to late January, often the week following the Lauberhorn in Wengen, Switzerland, another classic downhill. Since 1959, the race has been broadcast on Austrian television.

In summer climb from Kitzbühel to the Hahnenkamm summit. Have a beer. You worked for it. Take in the amazing views, including the Wilder Kaiser Massif. Then take the cable car back down to Kitz. It's challenging if you're not in shape but definitely worth the effort. (Or do it the other way, taking the cable car up and walking down the Streif [World Cup ski run].)

Restaurant Hochkitzbühel bei Tomschy is a legendary spot with an awe-inspiring panoramic terrace and delicious kaiserschmarrn, a thick pancake served with stewed plums. The mountain station of the Hahnenkamm lift has been revamped since 2015, offering quality combined with casual nonchalance. The restaurant features various guest rooms including a wine parlor and gondola parlor, as well as a lounge and bistro.
One of most perfect settings for a restaurant/bar in the world situated at the top of the gondola that brings you to the majestic Hahnenkamm. We enjoyed a stunning espresso martini before heading out to explore more of the mountain. Another amazing of example of traditional yet functional Tyrolean building. Staff was extremely helpful and efficient despite being a super high velocity day. Thank you very much for the hospitality!

Skiing Kitz and with the low snow cover we were riding the gondola back down. This place was rocking so we stopped in on a Sunday afternoon - great move on our part. It was a packed balcony with lots of people having a great time. Live band playing classic American Rock from the 50/60s and the entire crowd was dancing drinking and enjoying a beautiful sunny day.

Pizzeria el Moro de Venezia is a charming Italian restaurant located in downtown Kitzbuhel. The cozy, chef-owned spot offers authentic Italian cuisine including delicious pizzas, pastas, salads, and wines at affordable prices. The menu features a vibrant selection of handmade and freshly baked pizzas that keep travelers coming back for more. While the dishes are generally mild in flavor, the friendly staff is accommodating and quick to provide additional ingredients upon request.

Mixed bag, this one! The food? Not bad at all—good Italian flavours that hit the spot even tho they were using parmesan in pizza. Yet, the service left a lot to be desired. They initially mentioned a strict one-hour seating, but surprisingly, the place was fully empty. We visited on New Year's Eve hoping for a cozy celebration, but alas, despite the fully emptiness, no offer of table even slightly or a takeaway option. A tad disappointing, especially for a special occasion. On the bright side, the décor was lovely, setting a pleasant atmosphere. But if you're after warmth and flexibility in service, this might not be the spot for you.

LOIS STERN Restaurant Kitzbühel is a renowned fine-dining destination that has been delighting diners for over two decades. Located just outside the old town walls, this restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring Asian, European, and continental dishes as well as vegetarian and vegan options. The modern ambiance creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests to enjoy exotic delicacies and indulge in a unique culinary experience.
We had dinner twice at this lovely owner run restaurant during our trip to Austria in July 2024. This was the best dinner experience we had both in terms of food and service. We are vegetarians but they were great in accommodating all our dietary restrictions and the final product came our amazing with flavors of taste. This place is truly a gem and an ideal setting for a date night dinner experience. It is very personalized experience that we will not ever forget. The Chef is an outstanding food artist! Each and every meal we had was very thoughtful! The quality of the food was as good if not BETTER than many of the Michelin star restaurants we have been to! We cannot wait to visit again! Best Place to eat in Kitzbuhel by a long shot ! Small cozy restaurant where dad is the chef and mom and adult daughter run the show. Amazing blend of local food with an almost Asian flare. Everything we had was amazing and the wine selection was spot on. The entire family has real culinary chops/training. Impressive place.

The best restaurant we went to in our week in Kitzbühel - especially if you're tired of the stodgy Austrian cuisine - meat and potatoes. It's simple, clean, Thai food and every dish was excellent - albeit the portions are a little small. I'd recommend the red curry and for dessert, coconut sorbet.

Incredibly tasty family restaurant, despite the full load the service was very good. I especially want to highlight the homemade coconut sorbet. Recommended to visit in Kitzbühel
Polina V — Google review
We really enjoyed the food, especially the appetizers (sashimi and tempura that was just as good as what we've had at Michelin ⭐ Japenese restaurants!). Our main dishes were good, but personally we weren't amazed. The location is very nice, it's quite small inside so a reservation is recommended. What we liked the most was watching the chef prepare the dishes all by himself, and he does this with a calmness that is quite impressive. The only thing we didn't like was the service, we felt like we were bothering the staff when we arrived at the restaurant, but maybe this was just bad luck since the place was already crowded when we arrived.
Alison A — Google review
We absolutely loved our experience at Lois Stern. The food and service was impeccable. The owners prepare the food and run the staff and they are so kind and welcoming. We would dine here every night of our stay if we could!
Lauren P — Google review
The service is wonderful and we enjoyed the ladies working, however, the prices are WAY too high for the food. The dishes were good but an appetizer of tempura vegetables should not be 24€, nor should a small curry chicken dish be 30€. We have dined at many Michelin restaurants and paid similar to what we paid here and received even better service, wine pairings, and multiple courses. We were not impressed sadly.

The view is incredible, the food is good a bit overpriced but expected because of the atmosphere. The rudest thing is that the waiters ask for a tip even though you are already paying for the coperto and is very unusual for Italians to asks such a high tip.

This is the place to be if you want to mingle with the high society of Kitzbühel. Enjoy stunning views with sun until 4pm while listening to après-ski type music and watching people kill one bottle of champagne or wine after another. As a foodie, this feedback will help you if food is your main reason for visiting. ✅ The place has two areas (the restaurant and beet garden). Restaurant only with prior reservation. ✅ Vegan meal options: sautéed vegetables (12€) - small quantity- not enough on its own ✅ Vegetarian: Two Baked potatoes with herbal butter (10€)…you can make it vegan without butter ✅ Sunshine is guaranteed - sun sets behind mountain around 4pm. ✅ Accessible by cable car so you don’t have to ski to get there ❎ Extreme shortage of staff. Empty dishes piled everywhere. Felt sorry for the waiters. ❎ live DJ with super loud music…if you value a nice conversation while relaxing in the sun, this is not your place. ❎ They don’t serve traditional Austrian mountain food (e.g. dumplings, soups etc.) just classic European / Mediterranean food Saturday / February 2023
