Visitor center
The Millau Viaduct Information and Tours center offers a free exhibition showcasing the construction of the viaduct, along with a film presentation. Visitors can also explore a souvenir shop and enjoy dining options featuring regional products. The well-maintained facility includes ample parking and restroom facilities. While there is limited shade for picnics, the hilltop viewpoint provides stunning vistas of the bridge. Access to the viewing area involves navigating a fairly steep path.
This bridge/viaduct is a marvel. There is also an information centre. In the carpark there are also information boards and a toilet block. In my Motorhome I did stay overnight, there were no notices to say you couldn’t do this. The path from the carpark to the viewing point is quite steep. Worth noting if you are a little infirm like myself. I used a mobility scooter, and now it makes a funny noise 🤷‍♂️

Great view Visitor centre good but the video lack the more detail on the viaduct construction

Awesome visit to the Millau Viaduct. Did the €6 tour which lasted approx 60mins. Your was in French but the guide provided hand held audio devices for anyone who required a different language. The cafe was excellent, very reasonably priced with a great range of local food and drink. Loads of parking. The Aire had great toilets and drinking water. Multiple picnic benches and rubbish bins to use. Will definitely be back!
Kay M — Google review
Very impressive viaduct with a visitor centre and cafe. The views are fabulous. Worth a stop defo.
Amanda L — Google review
Maust stop for me, a combination of amazing geography and the lovely "paissage" of the Aveyrons + the amazing ingenuity of the engineering feat of the bridge. Itself a wonder. The location has parking and picnic area, the need of natural shadows (no trees) is mitigated thanks to a good place for eat and explore how the bridge was built. Also more exposition on the region. Good stop before continuing North or South

Not quite sure what the cheese has to do with it, but it was ok. Should have tried one of their coffees, but the server wasn't really interested. Maybe next time.

Rude not to stop really. A beautiful vista, outstanding engineering feat and a pretty good visitor complex; 33°C and clear skies helped.

Aire du Viaduc de Millau is a must-visit observation deck offering panoramic views of the impressive Millau viaduct, which holds the world record for being the tallest bridge. Accessible from both directions of the A75 motorway, this area provides guided tours for a fee, allowing visitors to learn about the history and construction of the viaduct. The belvedere offers stunning views of this extraordinary piece of modern engineering.
A great stop for lunch! We also would've spent the night here in our van if we were there later in the day. All worked well with the service station too! Do walk up to the viewpoint. We were surprised nobody did, but it's so worth it even on a cloudy day. Such a magnificent architectural sight to see!

Bridges
The Millau Viaduct Viewing Point offers a unique perspective of the city, with its labyrinth of streets and meandering bends of the Tarn River. It's just over an hour's drive from Montpellier and provides picture-perfect views of Millau and the famous viaduct. The visitor center at the North end is worth a visit, offering guided tours and an opportunity to see the bridge from underneath.
This viaduct is one of a kind. 2,4 km long and 343m in the highest point. Sometimes is surrounded by clouds and you can make amazing shoots with your camera.
Eddy H — Google review
Nice to see the tallest bridge -336,4m- in the world. The best part is that you can see it from underneath. This gives you the best view of how tall it is. Absolutely amazing. There is also the possibility to have a guided tour.
Suzana R — Google review
A truly magnificent place. The drive from Montpellier is just over 1 hour. You don’t need to do the u-turn like google says, just past the bridge going north there is an exit to the visitor center. We recommend arriving early and walking the trail for picture perfect views of Millau, the bridge, and the visitor center. No food onsite, but bring a lunch or snack and enjoy at picnic tables with an amazing view.
Magda B — Google review
If you like bridges then this one is for you. We drove over 2000 Kilometers to get to this bridge and it was well worth the time. I could stand and look at it all day. It reminds me of a professional athlete: disciplined, great shape, and strong. I think its sexy looking.

Viaduct
Bridge
The Viaduc de Millau is a remarkable 2.4km-long cable-stayed bridge, designed by Norman Foster and Michel Virlogeux, making it one of the world's tallest bridges. It's a must-see for architectural enthusiasts and offers a great day out for families, especially when combined with other nearby attractions like Micropolis, an insect zoo that kids will love. The city of Millau itself is also worth exploring and offers excellent shopping opportunities.
This place is a marvel of engineering. At its tallest point you could put the Eiffel Tower under it. To get under it take the first after or last exit before the bridge and follow the signs for the town of Millau. Look for the P for parking right as the road goes under the bridge. This is the best place to get the feel of the enormity of this structure. Enjoy!
Jan S — Google review
This must be one of the coolest bridges in the world to drive over. It’s very long to drive to from Calais but you must come here at least once, because it’s a masterpiece of engineering. The bridge sits so high there were clouds beneath it. Just so you’re aware there is no where to stop on the actual bridge. We found the best experience was to drive below it for photos then drive over the top. It takes an hour of driving to get from the bottom to the top where the bridge is with no traffic. There is a toll but at the time we crossed it only cost about €8 roughly which we think is a bargain to drive over something so cool!!
Kindness A — Google review
Went to the visitor center, very informative, really enjoyed it. There is a lot of videos on the construction, a model of the pillar construction and an extremely well done interactive show. Even more amazing, it's all free.
Kim P — Google review
We planned to drive over to this on our way back from a European road trip, and it was so worth it - if you like bridges, civil engineering, etc. We knew it was big, but it's huge! Definitely worthwhile heading off the main road to the little viewing area underneath it, just to get a sense of scale as to how high it is 🙄
Shaun E — Google review
A modern engineering marvel! Driving over it is an amazing experience, and the views of the valley below are spectacular. Sleek, elegant, and surprisingly graceful for such a massive structure.

Espace Gourmand, a motorway stop and exhibition space for the viaduct, is highly praised for its exceptional café and friendly service. The staff, who can speak English fluently, provide great assistance to visitors. This fabulous eatery offers delectable food and top-notch service. It is an ideal spot to indulge in delicious meals while visiting Le Pont de Millau and savoring the capucine sandwich.
Beautiful spot but the service was amazing!! We tried (in poor French) to tell them that my sister was allergic to peanuts and they understood amd completely accommodated her and then made us both THE best coffee and cream masterpiece we have ever had. Le pan et baguette sont tres bons mais les hommes et las femmes sont magnifique! (I did say I spoke poor French). Honestly the service we got despite and because of her allergy was one of our favorite experiences in our 2 week French Riviera & Provence trip. They were amazing and that coffee was divine! The Buffalo Grill Millau is an exceptional establishment with a delightful ambiance. The venue exudes cleanliness and orderliness, while the staff members are affable and welcoming. Upon arrival, guests are promptly greeted and seated without delay. The beverages are served within a short span of time, courtesy of the highly personable Kevin who adds a touch of humor to the dining experience. Undoubtedly, he is an invaluable asset to this restaurant!
I was here in Millau to collect a young dog as a “new” companion for my 4 year-old beloved Spitz-Japanese. We dined at the BUFFALO; GRILL tonight. The food was fabulous ; the ambiance was exceptional ; and my very well behaved Spitz-Japanese was warmly welcomed. I was supremely impressed. Our evening was made perfect by the attentiveness of our waitress …… FAOURATIE ……. whose personal attention was greatly appreciated. The added and unexpected bonus was that everybody around us was speaking either French🇫🇷, English🇬🇧 or Dutch🇳🇱 …… (I am tri-lingual, so I really felt at home linguistically) …… BRAVO A VOUS! 👍…… I thank you all for an unexpectedly fabulous evening 🥰 …….

Been to Buffalo grill quite often, but this one was a bit of a unpleasant surprise. The restaurant has been either just opened or totally renovated (which is good). Unfortunately the plumber forgot to connect three out of four faucets. The personnel was friendly, but the food simply way below par: the spare ribs were mushy and tasteless and we returned most of them, the chicken nuggets have been deep fried in the same fryer as something that tastes like fish. Of course I did raise a complaint to the waitress and it looked like she was aware of more complaints about the food (she could very easily describe what was wrong with the spare ribs). All in all a bad experience which hopefully isn’t the new standard Buffalo Grill is working to…

The staff speaks English fluently and is incredibly friendly. The food is excellent and offered at reasonable prices. Ample parking space is available, but please note there is only indoor seating.

Stylish ambient is not everything. Price against value not justified. Service wanted to tell me at time of late lunch that they only have tons of coins as return money, probably to generate maximum tip. That is bad behavior.

Disappointing. Chicken wing starters were hot on the outside, ice cold on the inside. Ribs and chips just luke warm. These places used to be good years ago. The staff were plesent.

We had an excellent dinner here. Service was super friendly and fast. Our waiter, Kevin spoke both English and French and no request was too much for him. If you want a nice meal that won’t take all night, this is your place.

Great venue with a nice atmosphere. Very tidy and clean. All staff are very friendly. We've been approached and seated straight away on arrival. The drinks were served few minutes later. We were served by Kevin who was extremely friendly and very funny. This guy is clearly an asset to this restaurant! The food was served in a very reasonable time and it was delicious. We've had a veru good time and are hoping to visit again. Five star dining experience!

For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Chaos de Montpellier-le-Vieux, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Golf Café. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Chaos de Montpellier-le-Vieux is a scenic nature park known for its unique limestone rock formations, which have been shaped by millions of years of water and wind erosion. The area offers six different walking trails, each taking no longer than an hour to complete. Visitors can explore the stunning rock formations such as the Gate of Mycenae and the Devils Chair either on foot or by taking a train that winds through the major landmarks.
There are several nice trails which can be hiked. Every trail is different and the good part is that you can also combine trails to do a very long walk. Each trail is about 30-60 minutes long. For smaller children there is a fun playing area in the middle in which they can climb through the trees on a low parcours (50 cm).
Frank V — Google review
Amazing trails and views! We also took the small train and it was worth it as it stopped in different interest points that we wouldn’t have visited otherwise as we were a little tired. The conductor is also a guide and he has plenty of stories to tell 👍. There is also an attraction for kids. My 6 yo loved it. Highly recommend if you like hiking and stunning sights
Alexandra N — Google review
Amazing place. Incredible landscape. Trails for all. We took our 18 month baby in the carrier and enjoyed two hours of roaming around the rock formations.
Katie W — Google review
Privatizing natural patrimony and destroying it… didn’t go in obviously as you have to pay an absurd entry fee even if you only want to walk and not be in a Disney train … there are many nice hikes and rock formations in the area, which are free and still pristine so avoid this place unless you like to be ripped off or like amusement parks
Rob V — Google review
A bit more expensive, 12 euros per person but a toilet and water tap right on the parking place.

Great location with impressive natural structures.
Jorrig P — Google review
A really nice spot to go. You can enjoy the view and also do a nice hike. That make diffrence kind levels so it its for everybody nice to do. There is also roc climbing and a little train to go in with a guide.
Marc ( — Google review
This felt like a big cheat to me - 8.40 Euro entrance fee to hike around a between some rocks. Yes, there are some nice views, and lots of wild rocks, but not that much better than other - free - hikes in the region. Everything is trampled down, as people go / climb / pee everywhere - I’m glad I didn’t have to experience it with a normal load of people.

Camping Les Prades, located in a picturesque riverside setting, offers spacious pitches and clean sanitary facilities. The campsite features a beautiful pool area, a flat stony beach by the river, and a restaurant serving delicious meals including pizza and burgers. Guests can enjoy organized kayak trips downriver with picnic amenities provided. The on-site shop offers daily fresh bread and pastries but limited fresh produce.
This is one of the best French campsites we have stayed at, with its peaceful riverside location and shady pitches. The pool area is beautiful, and the sanitary facilities are spotless. Access to the river is very easy - there is a large flat stony beach. We had some very tasty pizza and burgers in the restaurant. One thing to know is that although there is fresh bread and pastries every day in the shop, it does not have much fresh produce, so you would need to go elsewhere to buy ingredients. Highly recommended!
Grainne K — Google review
We (family of 4 with 2 kids of 10 and 12) stayed for 2 weeks on pitch 33 (opposite 38), next to the main sanitary building. The area and location is fantastic, and the camping looks nice, well kept, clean and green. The swimming pool is nice and the river is great; deep enough to swim, jump, swing from a tree and go from the (fast!) rapid. There are enough sanitary facilities and they are regularly cleaned. The staff is very friendly. It's not without issues though. The sizes of the pitches differ quite a bit, and some are really small. Most pitches have enough shade, but some not all. And when the camping is full, it feels crowded. In the restaurant, in the pool, in the sanitary building, with parking, with noise. Even the pitches right next to the main facilities are used (although the lack of numbering of those pitches on the map seems to indicate that they are aware of the issues with those pitches). The pitches next to the main sanitary building and the shop had the noise of the flushing toilets and slamming doors day and night (the oldest kids used the toilets until 2am, and the morning cleaning started 6am, joined with the noise of the provisioning of the shop at 6:30am). Almost everybody around us moved to another pitch on the camping further away, but unfortunately we couldn't get another pitch (although we insistently asked 3 times). There is a lack of activities for the (older) kids, leading to problems on the trampolines, in the pool, in the evenings (kids playing around the sanitary building), and at night. And there is not enough attention from the staff for this. We complained to the night watchman and staff, multiple times, without effect. When we confronted the staff with these issues, they acknowledged them but said it was out of their hands (since it was the responsibility of the parents) and they said to book in October to be sure to get a good pitch...

Excellent campsite and excellent restaurant with local specialities. Lovely site right next to the river with direct access to swim in the river. Dog friendly campsite and restaurant. The food is excellent, so tasty, steak is very tender and beautifully seasoned, the aligot (mash and cheese) and pizza is to die for- absolutely amazing! (We sat inside.). Lovely accommodating owners. And you can order bread and croissants for the morning (looking forward to trying these tomorrow). We highly recommend this site and will definitely be back! Absolutely perfect! Thank you very much for having us Lucy, Tom and Sasha (3 very happy brits!) 😊

We were only going to stay for 2 nights, but ended up staying for 4. What an amazing place!!! The views are stunning, so peaceful and quiet. We were there in mid June 2023 and whole site was virtually empty. We had the wonderful pool to ourselves. The restaurant serves simple meals but they were tasty, and considering only a few people on the site, they opened 5 nights per week. The Gorges are stunning with lovely villages around. We are definitely coming back. Thanks to the amazing staff.
John W — Google review
A lovely family owned and run campsite where you are guaranteed a warm welcome from Sophie and her family. We stayed in caravans on this occasion, basic standard but clean and with everything you need (apart from a kettle). The washrooms as fastidiously clean and of a good standard, they have a lovely pool area and tennis/ boules courts. The location is perfect, being right on the river and not too far from Le Rozier for basics and Millau for a bigger shop. They really can’t do enough to ensure you have a great time, restaurant is good (fondant and vanilla ice cream is exceptional) and kayaking is well worth doing, you will have a have a great time here! We are looking forward to coming back.
Jonathan H — Google review
It was a perfect camping place! It was easy t find and reach it. We got a big pitch close to the river. The camping is very spacious and cosy. Even though we were not able to get to the river from our pitch, they have two beaches pretty close by. the location is great, only 10 min drive to Gorges de Tarn. Also, 20 min on bicycle to cute little town Le Rozier. We were also pleased by the super friendly lady at the reception! Also, they were very organized. I booked the campsite on their website, received the confirmation by email within 24 hours and when we arrived they had our names on the list already. The camping has a restaurant and a pool. The only minus was that pur pitch did not have enough trees to put the hamak on, but they were willing to let us change the pitch if we wanted to. Anyways, a lot of shade and trees around. 100% recommended.
Emilija B — Google review
The best campsite I have ever been to! Very well organized, a wide range of facilities available. You can rent bicycles, do a canoe trip, join organized hikes. Several play areas with volleyball, badminton, table tennis and slack line, not to mention exercise machines, swimming pool, sauna and two trampolines. unfortunately no basketball hoop, a great place to stay.

I really loved this place! The camping is located on a beautiful and quiet location. The spots are not packed together, there is enough room between the spots. A very good price / quality ratio and very pleasant hosts.

Camping Millau Plage, situated a short distance from Millau, offers convenient access for walking or cycling activities. While the restaurant appeared inviting, meals were not sampled. With prices starting at 12 euros including hookup and WiFi, it provides excellent value for money.

Great little holiday park with all of the facilities you need and reasonable price. Restaurant and bar is good with friendly service, takeaway pizza option is a little pricey but hot and tasty. Access to the river is great and far better for a swim then the very busy pool (leave this for the little kids!). Site kept very clean and tidy.

This is a very comfortable little campsite. I stayed here for a week, in one of the two-room lodges which are very comfortable for a few people. It's nice to have the deck out front to relax in the afternoons. The camp restaurant has good pizzas and some other nice choices on the menu, plus super-friendly staff.

Located a couple of km from Millau. Easy walk raiser cycle. Reception friendly and efficient. Pitches reasonable size and level. Site adjacent to river. Enjoyed the pool. Restaurant looked nice but we didn't eat there. Great price from 12 euros with hookup and WiFi. Also Millau was beautiful, an added bonus. We cycled to the base of the viaduct c10k great view but a little hilly.

Very pretty in a nice location. However, the off-season was very much obvious. Seemed like there was no staff cleaning the bathrooms during our whole stay and it was therefore pretty dirty, even for a campsite. Lights in the bathrooms and the walkways only turned on sometimes, if they did, it was well after dark and difficult to walk around. The showers could really be a bit warmer, with the overall cold weather it was dreary to take a shower with luke warm water. If you have sensitive skin a warning: Bring your own sleeping bag if you are renting one of the logias or cabins. The "bed sheets" are made from this industrial material they use in hospitals for one-way usage surfaces. Brrr. The restaurant was open only one evening of our stay because the Festival de Templier started and the food was really good.

Camping LARRIBAL is located in Millau, in the Midi-Pyrenees region, with easy access to Millau Train Station. The site offers free WiFi, a children's playground, private beach area, and complimentary parking. Accommodations are air-conditioned and include spacious pitches for caravans with amenities such as clean showers and toilet facilities. The campsite features mature trees providing ample shade and protection from the wind.
The Best in Millau!🌞 Family business and you can feel it: very supportive and friendly, a Bar at the small but nice pool with an impressive list of drinks including FRESH hand-made smoothies! It is located perfectly at the river Tarn, far enough from the waterfall not to disturb at night, at the best part of the river to stand in for cooling down, to use your Standup board or swim in the clean water. You can walk over a small ponton bridge to super marche, boulangerie, Lidl😂, or downtown. The site was built in 1982 and therefore has beautiful large trees that give you shade almost the entire day against the sun. Sanitary rooms are clean and good enough. The whole site is very relaxing. Electricity is available and works fine as long as no dummy tries to charge his electric car from it. Paragliding start and landing sites are nearby. Millau itself has been renovated recently, sidewalks, lamps, the city centre are v ery new, nicely decorated and provide a lot of options for eating or going to the market. The local museum at the market hall is also worth a visit as well as going to the aire de viaduct by car. All in all a pleasant surprise to discover this town and camping site .

A brilliant little campsite, run by a very nice couple. We came here in April while on a cycle trip and stayed in a mobile home to avoid the rain. We had a really nice stay. It is a simple and fairly cheap campsite. It is covered in mature trees and on the bank of the Tarn river, and was perfect for our needs. Near enough to town to walk into. The campsite is next to a paragliding site and there are many other activities in the area. We will definitely be coming back one day. Thankyou to the owners, Sandrine and Eric, for making our stay very enjoyable despite the rain.

We spent 2 nights here and would have stayed longer if we could. Lovely site on the banks of the river. Large flat pitches with plenty of shade. Small swimming pool and bar. Friendly owner. Clean toilets and showers. 15 minute stroll into the centre of town. We'll definitely return.
Pamela M — Google review
If you want a full blown, holiday resort type of site you'd better look just up the road from here. But if you do you'll be paying twice the price. Here we have an adequate size (6 metre caravan with full awning), fairly level pitch, easy access to fresh water and chemical disposal, clean showers and toilet facilities, friendly staff (at least try to speak French),and a small swimming pool. Millau town is about ten minutes walk. Mature trees offer lots of shade and protection if the wind gets up. The electric is limited to 6 amp, so be careful what you switch on at the same time. It is very much a family place, so if your child tolerance level is limited it may try your patience at times. This has to be among the best in terms of value for money. We've been here for a week now and are booked in for the rest of the month. So far so good.
Philip V — Google review
Again in August ACSI discount card all for €12 a night inclusive. It is close to town we had little time as the weather was going to close in so only one night and we were there to see the Millau Viaduct. There is a lot more to the area and we would recommend a few days and this site would be great. Lovely staff nice little pool.
The G — Google review
A warm welcome as always, nice pitches in a wooded area, some on the river bank. Discount given with ACSI still but not in the book this year. We usually stay here on the way to Spain as we're ready for a stop and you miss out the viaduct toll 😎

Despite the crowds, the hostess gave us a warm welcome. She took the time to explain the menu to us. I had a lovely salad with goat’s cheese and sheep’s cheese, my husband had a “veal paupiette” casserole. The plates were plentiful, impossible to eat dessert, although the walnut cake looked very good. More than reasonable price for homemade. Ah! Another detail and not the least: the toilets were super clean. Ah ! (Translated by Google) We came here based on the reviews, but it makes you wonder if we came to the right restaurant. We must have had a bad day, especially considering the service, with a young waitress who, I hope, was there to help out or try it out, as it felt like a kitchen nightmare, no exaggeration. The table next to us wasn't even cleared when a new customer was seated, and he had to eat his entire meal with the previous customers' plates on his table, just as they were (not even stacked, really nothing had moved between the previous customers and him). I've never seen anything like that, not even at McDonald's. The rest wasn't great either: a large pile of cardboard boxes stacked 2 meters from our table. The taste was just okay. A restaurant for a quick fix, but not really a good place to have a good time.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Pont Vieux. Not quite as popular as Peyre, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Waited 15 mins before a waiter eventually came to take my order. In the meantime had to seat myself and see waiters passing around me like I doesn’t exist. If it wasn’t for the time of the day I would have gone somewhere else. It’s quite shame because the place looks clean and nice and the food was honestly quite fair. But when service sucks like this, unfortunately it’s not making it up.

Went out for dinner with my family and it wasn’t so pleasant. My mom ordered a burger, medium cooked, and it was brought out raw. I as a vegan, ordered the veggie burger without cheese (and explained to the staff that I was vegan and my allergies and they helped me decide the burger). Then the burger was brought out, with cheese, and they denied that there was cheese. Then later came back, saying it was feta cheese, which is cheese, and I asked for a new meal. Then the staff came back saying it was actually tofu. Unfortunately… it was cheese. If you go here, just be prepared for a below average experience.

Fantastic bar/restaurant. Me and mate both English had a fantastic evening here. Neither of us are very good at French but we had an amazing night. The two waitresses who served us were amazing too, unfortunately I never found their names. But I'd highly recommend it here

Salads were nice. Bavette and burgers were ordered medium but were served well done. Bavette was not nice, not tender at all. Nice service and staff though. Tip: dont precook the meat. People are prepared to wait for a good piece of meat. It also makes you look bad if you have to prepare a hamburger before it is ordered.

Bridge
Pont Vieux in Millau is a picturesque and historic bridge that spans the Tarn River. Adjacent to the modern Pont Lerouge, it features two arches of an ancient structure leading to an old mill perched atop wooden beams. The bridge offers stunning reflections in the water and can be admired from the riverbank, providing excellent photo opportunities. Additionally, visitors can enjoy views of the old watermill and explore the charming city of Millau nearby.
Beautiful building, well worth walking around and seeing it from different angles.
Simona D — Google review
Very picturesque bridge well worth seeing - walk along the riverbank going under the bridge carrying the D809 and carry on until you get the first glimpse of Pont Vieux through the trees. Then as you get closer you will see it's arch perfectly reflected in the water, making it seem larger than it really is. The mill adds to the value of making the trip to see the Pont Vieux, as that is also very picturesque. Be sure to walk across the new bridge too to get some nice photos of Pont Vieux and the Millau Viaduct.

On April 8th, 2022, the Restaurant Crêperie du Beffroi was praised for its beautiful location, delicious galettes, and dry cider. The sole proprietor of the establishment impressed with her multitasking skills and friendly demeanor towards all customers. Despite language barriers, she patiently and slowly explained everything to the patrons.
We ordered crepes, charcuterie and a smoked salmon salad. Although we had to wait because they were busy, everything arrived pretty quickly and were very tasty! The waitress spoke little English but was very helpful and bubbly. A worthwhile restaurant to seek out whilst looking around this fabulous town.

(Translated by Google) Surprisingly delicious food. Definitely recommended!! Very friendly lady was very busy. Was open from 7:30 PM (Google indicated 7:00 PM). It was already very busy upon arrival at 7:45 PM. It was neatly indicated with an indication of the time that we had to wait for the food. Ordered a dessert crepe for the children: crepe with chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Tasty, but a little less chocolate would have been fine too. 2x menu du jour were both very tasty! Nice location to sit outside. (Original) Verrassend lekker gegeten.

Museum
The Musée de Millau et des Grands Causses is a must-visit for those interested in the archaeology and history of the area. Housed in a former hotel, it features 30 exhibition rooms showcasing palaeontology, prehistoric remains, pottery from Graufesenque, and traditional local crafts like leather and glove-making. The museum also offers a large section dedicated to the Leather Glove industry and ancient history from pre-human to Roman and medieval times.
This Millau museum is quite unique in all of the world. It not only displays local palaeontology, but also unique Gallo-Roman history, but also info on its local gant (glove making) industry. The displays were brilliant and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. And it is free. There is so much more to Millau than the viaduct!
Linda W — Google review
Millau is known for the artisanal craft of glove-making. The visit gave us a glimpse of the craft's importance to this city ... it is well laid-out, with gloves crafted for important personalities on display, the evolution of the craft. And it is in a beautiful building. The visit is free and the museum personnel wonderful.

Worth a visit for the views from the tower. Not a place for those with no head for heights. Steep climb up and down narrow staircase.

What a hidden gem (& free, gratuis!) From the very bottom of the building, (artifacts from geological digs, dinosaurs, roman remains displayed wonderfully,) up to the second floor, displays and films the process of making and styles of gloves. The staff were really nice.Throughly recommend 👌.
Jan W — Google review
ADMISION IS FREE! :) Large section about the Leather Glove industry that was so prevalent in the local area. Another all about ancient history from pre human to Roman and medieval. Really fascinating. Well worth a visit. However no translations in any of the writing for English speakers. However I believe an English audio guide is offered. I however haven't used it so can't speak about how good it is.

When we were here the museum was open for free. Special exhibition for the beauty and the beast. We teh looked around the glove making exhibition. This was fascinating. The downside of the museum was we were chased out at an early time, with the words, 'We have to eat' The French and their lunch!!! The French don't seem to understand customer service. Can't complain I suppose because it was free on the day.

We stumbled upon this restaurant tonight by chance. We (my 2 teenagers and me) had mussels and chips and my husband had a steak and chips. The kids had great puddings ( waffle and chocolate fondant). Amazing little restaurant, great service, the waiters were ready to help with anything before we even realised we needed it, they also noticed we tried to practice our french so even though we had to switch to english almost every time they came by, they kept encouraging us and asking us things in french first. Outside, there is a delightful courtyard garden where patrons can enjoy their meals. As per reviews on 04/08/2022, the staff was extremely friendly and there was no wait time between courses. Guests also praised the beautiful interior courtyard and expressed satisfaction with their dining experience.
Excellent restaurant for a special treat or family meal. When you walk in from the street, you cannot see the nice outside seating area at the rear, so it's a lovely surprise to walk through to it. Spacious, appealing, colourful and covered by a large canvas roof, you immediately sense a relaxing atmosphere. The food choices are quite plentiful so you should find a tasty selection to your liking. The service was excellent and the food was delivered briskly. Good sized portions full of taste. The menu pricing is easy to understand - just 3 choices of prices between 30 and 36 euros per person depending on whether you have starters and desserts. A memorable evening was the result.

Great service and perfectly cooked, flavorful food! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of taste — from the starters to the grilled meats. Cozy atmosphere and attentive staff made the experience even better. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

This is great restaurant that has Michelin quality food at a very reasonable price. The staff is very good and has helpful suggestions even in English. My food was mouthwatering from the beginning to the end. Taking a complete menu is the way to go you will be very happy with the quality of the food and the preparation that went into making it. My pork chops were mouth watering as much as my salmon tartare was perfect. The squid was also one of the best dishes on the menu. Thank you for a excellent meal

*Quick warning for English only speakers - There was no English menu offered.* However the food here was really incredible. See pictures. Some real delicacies are served here. Well worth giving it a go. The wine was delicious with the wine specialist on hand and the rest of the staff were super friendly and attentive. A real brilliant taste of France. Tres Bon!

We thought we had made a reservation online, unfortunately it had not gone through. However they were able to accommodate us. We sat outside in the pretty courtyard. Tables well spaced. Service attentive. The food was out of this world, good to look at and delicious. Tastes sensational ...will definately return if we are in the area
