Parc Prestatyn Shopping Park

Shopping mall
Parc Prestatyn Shopping Park is a modern retail destination offering a wide array of stores, dining options, and cafes. The park provides three hours of free parking, making it an ideal choice for a day of shopping and dining. It features well-known brands such as Tesco Extra, M&S, TK Maxx, Costa, JD, Next, Boots, Poundland, Superdrug, Sports Direct and Clarks.
It was very busy today. The shopping park itself is massive with disable park facilities. Nice selections of shops including Tesco extra, M&S, TK max, Costa, JD, Next, Boots, Poundland, Superdrug, sports direct, Clarks. Also there are many more shops available in high street which is few minutes walking distance from this retail park. 3 hours maximum stay and it’s free.
M U — Google review
Similar to many retail parks, but never seems to be overcrowded like some others and parking is more than adequate. Just take care on exiting, as you appear to go the wrong way round a roundabout (as if you're driving on the left hand side of the road).
Martin T — Google review
Lovely little shopping area with a lot of High Street names including Boots, M&S, Next, Superdrug, TK Maxx, plus many others. Parking is free for 3 hours. Just a short walk from the train station Prestatyn High Street where there are a number of independent shops, charity shops and eateries.
Andrea A — Google review
Car was damaged in the car park, tried to contact savills who own the car park for them to check the cctv but no response. Spoke to the Tesco petrol station to see if they would check their CCTV again no joy. The car park has plenty of cameras but when you need it you get the silent treatment, the CCTV surely works when you go over your car parking times.
Nathan T — Google review
Popped in to the big Tesco whilst on holiday, plenty of parking. Few other shops there as well. Very convenient if you want to go to a few different shops.
Simon J — Google review
There is a great selection of shops in this retail park. There's plenty of parking but beware you don't park on a junction, as i did, because it's difficult to get out if you're reversing.
Mary S — Google review
Visited on a few occasions lately. Great shopping park with plenty of parking. Give the town centre a visit whilst you are there, it has a lovely high street.
Sharon D — Google review
Great shops. 3 hour parking limit isn't enough to get around all of the shops though!

Beaches
Barkby Beach is an adored coastal gem that offers extensive panoramic vistas, making it ideal for leisurely strolls and reveling in the refreshing ocean breeze. This cherished destination has captivated visitors for over three decades, evoking a profound sense of nostalgia. Photographs taken in August 2023 depict cloudy and blustery conditions, resulting in a sparsity of people on this alluring shoreline.
This is a lovely beach to walk along. There is a long promenade parallel to the beach that, you can walk along. Easy access for bikes, buggies and wheelchairs. Then there are steps or a ramp down to the sand. It can get quite windy. Great for kite flying. Though chilly when the sun goes down. Lots of dogs to "chat" to. There is also a cafe that does food, drinks and ice cream. Parking is pay and display. Disabled have an extra hour with a blue badge. A lovely place to visit. Will bring dogs again.
Emma M — Google review
I went based on google reviews and photos with a friend, and was pleasantly surprised! I wasn’t expecting too much, but this beach was lovely. Parking is right next to the beach, 2 parking areas, one right in front of it and one round the corner, with a 5 min walk up the dunes/bushes and onto the beach, £1.50 for an hour and £4 for 4 hours. The pay and display machines accept card/contactless as well as cash. The beach itself was empty around the time we arrived- 6:45pm-ish- only really a few locals chilling and walking their dogs. We had the beach pretty much to ourselves. Very friendly people. Lovely light coloured sand, clear-ish water. Loads of shells, crab shells, rocks to look at, though not a rocky/pebble beach at all. The only reason I deducted a star was bc a lady and her friend peed on a public pathway as we were leaving, saw them pulling their pants up just past the bushes as my friend and i walked up to the path to get to my car. There was a puddle left in the sand smack bang in the middle of the path on the dunes. That left me pretty annoyed, there are literally toilets five mins from the beach in the car park!! Other than this incident, an amazing beach- lovely enough that i took my mum here too a couple days after my first visit!
Mariyam A — Google review
This beach was perfect for walking our doggies. Great place for finding lots of lovely shells too. Only let down was the poo bin was over flowing. It either is that it is poplar place or not been emptied in a while.
Chellw B — Google review
The sea actually is beautiful, the beach is perfect but lacking the basic facilities like clean water to wash off the sand and mud. The toilet facilities were a bit off sight but they were Gross 🤢 stunk so bad. As we came from afar so needed to be cleaned before getting back in the car. Other than that views around the beach were perfect. We actually really liked it. The kids had fun and we made some memories.
Uzma S — Google review
Lovely size beach and clean! Wow that’s a nice change. Everyone seems to be so nice and friendly, chatting for a while to the lovely gentleman selling ice cream, he was from Belfast, a lovely guy.
Michael J — Google review
First visit as the tide was going out. Large, quiet beach. Great flat sand. With a small rock section in the middle which hides lots of shells, definitely worth a visit if you like your shells.

Pontins Prestatyn Sands Holiday Park is located in a picturesque setting between the Welsh hills and beautiful beaches. The park offers a mix of relaxation and fun activities, with three stunning beaches nearby and attractions like Conwy Castle and Chester for sightseeing or shopping. The holiday park has been featured on TV shows like 'Holiday On The Buses' and 'The Royle Family.'
Attended a recent 80s weekend and had a fabulous time (as usual)!!! The staff are great, friendly and helpful at every point. Drinks aren't too expensive and the entertainment was very good. Downside? The accommodation isn't great and people do tend to get carried away and play music late into the night/morning. To be fair this is kind of what you should expect from one of these weekends. You're paying a pittance for two nights accommodation and entertainment. It's not going to be 5* is it? Reading the information before you go helps... There's no point complaining that towels and bedding aren't included in the base price when they tell you that before you go... In short, leave any pretensions at home, get stuck into the atmosphere, and enjoy the party!!

The place was awful. It looked like a prison camp, with broken lights, filthy windows, and litter scattered everywhere. As for the apartment, if you can call it that, that was just as bad. The floors had not been cleaned, and there was rubbish under the beds. The mattresses were stained and extremely uncomfortable. The kitchen sink had not been cleaned, and neither had the cooker. The bathroom had been poorly maintained with the shower and taps leaking, and, at the risk of being repetitive, the toilet had not been cleaned. If we could have afforded to walk back out and find somewhere else to stay, we would have. We definitely will not be returning here.
Ian C — Google review
What can I say about pontins that hasn't already been said? Nothing It's out dated, needs a complete over haul in every aspect, and perhaps a bloody good litter pick! However.... I'm a returning customer, I came here 3 years ago during COVID and yes the rooms weren't all that clean the furniture was awful but I had the most amazing priceless memories with my late mother. I came back to remember her and I wasn't disappointed! The rooms were exactly the same the only difference was they have done away with the old style sofa bed and replaced them with two single beds so now you have nowhere to sit comfortably other than the dining chairs. This works for me tho, we stayed Monday to Friday and was out most of the day so only a case of lying our heads and perhaps eating. Perhaps owing to the time of the season we came the on site shop looked empty but we got by. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed all week long. And the arcade just looked like the local tip I have never seen so much litter around the camp, there are plenty of bins so not necessarily down to the site management but just total disregard from visitors. This place is seriously run down but isn't help by the way people treat it, it's a budget holiday, very inexpensive place to stay for a few nights and could do really well with a lot of home improvements and respect from it's users! I'm not saying everyone disregards this place but clearly there are some due to the volume of litter, quilts thrown outside the chalets, chairs used as goals etc. If you can see past all of this and just enjoy the surrounding areas you too can make some amazing memories
Rebecca B — Google review
Plenty to do on park. Too many seagulls causing lots of mess on steps to accommodation. Signs needed to be erected to not feed gulls. Some guests left a lot of litter about. Easy access to beach just down the road. Accommodation OK. Cleaners need to open cookers and microwaves to check cleanliness. Unfortunately the grill pan was filthy and there was left over pizza in microwave. Amusement arcade had too many ticket games instead of winning money and when you went to cash the tickets in, there was no one at the kiosk. So tickets were not swapped for goods. Daughter was gutted. But overall had a good stay
Elaine B — Google review
My children and I took advantage of a deal we found to come here, meaning we saved about 50%. The food was average school canteen variety, however there was no fruit available at breakfast or to buy in the shop. It was quite strange and very disappointing. The activities were unfortunately affected by extreme wind, however there was quite a good variety and the kids were very entertained by the blue coats. The rooms were average, with electricity being unreasonably expensive. I turned the fridge off and showered at the swimming pool to save our electricity. They weren't up to standard cleanliness wise, but I'd already been warned of that and came prepared. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. Overall, because of the discount, I'd say it was good value for money but if I'd paid full price then it wouldn't be worth it.

Stayed here on a sun holiday. £41 Monday to Friday. Didn't use any of the facilities just a place to rest our heads and a base to explore North Wales. I was full of trepidation having read some of the reviews and would have found an alternative hotel if it was really terrible, but was quite pleasantly surprised. Yes the apartments are basic and like something from a bygone age, but our apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable which is all we needed. We were lucky to stay on a scorching hot week. The apartments get really hot inside as they catch the sun all day and there are tiny windows. I would recommend bringing a fan if staying in hot weather.

My husband and I arrived late at night after an 8 hour drive. (Our room had already apparently been ‘cleaned’ and fumigated due to a fly nest - even though flies don’t have nests) but it didn’t take long to realise there was still so many flies. Dead and alive. The light switch for the kitchen had been punched in and wouldn’t work, and the curtains were shredded. We then ended up having to move at 1am, due to pest infestation, to another room that was filthy, the floor was covered in dirt, the fridge had mould in and wouldn’t close properly, the microwave was disgusting, spiders and webs everywhere, no double bed, only one radiator worked and it was freezing, and no toilet roll in the bathroom. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned. But to make it all worse We put £20 of electric on the ‘fly room’ when we arrived (before realising there was still loads of them about and coming out of a hole In the wall) to which I went to reception and was told they would refund it as it wasn’t used, then they said they can’t and I had to email. So I did, they replied once but have since ignored me, so I sent 2 more emails over the space of a week. Still haven’t heard back. So they kept our money. Shocking. This is by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed.
Sophie P — Google review
After reading the reviews before hand I though Jesus what are we doing! BUT it wasn’t half as bad as I thought. Yes it’s dated and looks like a POW camp upon arrival with blocks of apartment that have seen a lot better days. We couldn’t check in until 4pm so spent an anxious 2 hour wait to see what we were up against. When getting our keys we rush to our block and opened our door to a sigh of relief, again very dated but it was clean to toilet and bathroom were spotless and our kitchen was clean the oven microwave looked like they haven’t been used. We bought our hoover after hearing the reviews and all our cleaning stuff. We gave it a quick once over and we were happy. Loads for the kids to do. The surrounding area is really lovely and loads to do for the kids. Club house and pool are typical of a holiday park entertainment for the kids is all it is. Overal we’ve had a great time and the children have loved it. At the end of the day your holiday is what you make it and if you’re going to spend every hour of every day finding things to complain about then you’re going to have a horrid time. If you’re coming to Pontins and you don’t have kids then it’s not the place for you but if you’ve got kids and are happy to see loads of kids playing and having fun the you will be fine.

The Pavilion Theatre Rhyl is a two-tier auditorium that hosts a wide range of performances, from West End touring shows to community-led theatre. The venue boasts an excellent staff who are friendly and helpful, as well as exceptionally clean and posh toilets. Located in Llandudno, it is easily accessible by road. Additionally, the foyer/bar area is immaculate and welcoming. Visitors can opt for parking down a side road close by to avoid charges at the car park.
Love the Pavilion, the place is modern, staff are amazing, seats are comfortable and just feels intimate and nice. Only watched comedy here but the amount of names now choosing to play here is testimony to this super little place. Sat in many different places and don't think there is a bad seat in the house, however from the top circle it can be difficult to see if the comedian goes out into the audience. Massive car park right next door but, give yourself a little extra time to park and pay as the machines can be a little confusing at first.

Generally nice, well maintained but feels really small compared to other theatres. Seats were comfy, bar is well stocked and usual theatre pricing. Parking is pay and display or free on some nearby streets (2 min walk).

Great small theatre, had been upgraded so is lovely and clean and tidy. Really helpful and friendly theatre staff. We weren't overly keen on the show we saw, but that's not the theatres issue. The stage and set and lighting were great as was the sound. More than ample parking right next to the theatre too. Highly recommend as a venue if any shows or artists are performing there. We will be going back. 👍

Nice theatre. Seating is comfortable and it's a nice size, not massive but big enough for two tiers. I've seen a few performances here and I have no complaints. Bars for drinks and snacks. And they have a restaurant attached but I've not tried it myself.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
SeaQuarium Rhyl is a seaside aquarium that offers over 30 exhibits showcasing a variety of marine species. Visitors can explore different ocean habitats and get up close to dangerous fish like piranhas, pufferfish, and stonefish. The aquarium also houses harbor seals and sea lions in an outdoor cove. One of its highlights is the innovative tunnel system that allows guests to walk under the waves and observe marine life such as rays, sharks, and moon jellyfish.
Family of 4 is £58, not bad price. The cafe is clean, food was tasty and staff were friendly. Came on a wet day so didn't see the seal show, but walking through the tunnel with the fish over you was the best part. Lovely day out and definitely go back.
Amy J — Google review
Magical couple of hours spent here. Highly recommend the breakfast with the seals experience, was a bit damp outside due to it being late October so they gave us breakfast in the aquarium tunnel, just as charming, after breakfast we went through and had an exclusive viewing of the seals and was able to participate in feeding them too. After which we were left to view the aquarium at our leisure. Great time lots of good memories, thank you so much for having us!
Roy F — Google review
It’s a lovely day out here, my 1 year old loves it especially the jellyfish tank. And the food in the cafe is tasty! The seal show is an added bonus too. Can’t comment on the staff as we never seem to have much interaction with them besides the shows. But I have to give 4/5 as I do think it’s quite expensive especially when there’s a full family of people, when you can get around the whole place in 1-2 hours, it’s costly for not a full day out. I do wish they did family tickets. Definitely worth buying tickets online before you visit as they are 10% cheaper 😊
Jaz E — Google review
Really wanted to take the three children out without breaking the bank and something different to do. So I took them here, somewhere I’ve not been for a very long time. Price is more than enough for what is there. 25 minutes it took us, start to finish. And that is with the kids looking in every viewing point. (When they could see through the murky water and dirty windows) they still managed to have fun and see the fish.

Enjoyed our visit there. Its a small but nice place. We had a chat with one of the staff, she was lovley and told us a lot about the place. Once you bought a ticket, you could leave and enter again if you showed them your ticket. There is a nice cafe inside too.

Booked tickets online. You were able to come and go throughout the day. Kids enjoyed looking round and doing the touch and feel item that was available. They also enjoyed seeing the seal show. We had photos done and the one we ended up buying was a little dark (and a bit expensive at £8.50) although the seal bubbles was on top form with the poses. The only downside was waiting for over 20 minutes to view and buy the photo as the service was very poor and slow.
Laura J — Google review
Awesome little place. Spent about 90 mins there. Paid online so got a good price for admission, well worth it for the seal show (Nelly is no.1 good girl). Decent variety of sealife, seems like a great place for kids and plenty parking nearby. People commenting how it took them 30 minutes clearly aren't stopping to watch the fish, or read the info boards and just walk around, so they should have just gone to a pet shop.

We booked one afternoon for that night and couldn't be happier with our stay. The staff are lovely and make you feel very much at home. The Bistro bar is amaxing with a gorgeous outside sea view terrace. Food was very good and delivered promptly. This hotel which has a great little Spa within is a tucked away gem. If you want a quiet get away by the sea. It's a perfect location. Rooms are spacious and clean. Restuarant for lunch, dinner and breakfast were excellent. The bread is divine. Loved the breakfast. Location is excellent with it being on the sea front. Family friendly as well. Services generally excellent. Could cleaning staff start at 9.30 to allow guests not to get woken up if they have breakfast after 9. Some improvements: Please could you use bottled condiments and toiletries rather than the sachets? It generates a lot of waste and will be cheaper for the hotel.

Having completed a cycle ride on Bank holiday Monday I was feeling very unwell and dehydrated. The staff in The Beaches Hotel, Prestatyn, immediately noticed I was unwell and couldn’t have been more caring – they guided us to a cool, quiet area with comfortable seating so I could recover while we enjoyed refreshing drinks. Once I felt better, we stayed for a meal which was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The whole team was so attentive and kind, making sure everyone was well looked after. A wonderful experience – highly recommended!

We went for dinner in the Bistro bar / restaurant & had an excellent meal. We hadn’t booked but the head waitress sorted a table, a good choice of drinks and food available & great views out to sea. We had starters and mains & were both very good, the pie was freshly cooked (amazing) and the vegetables & mash was excellent not overcooked. My wife had the lamb burger & was again really tasty & thick and meaty. Drinks were replenished quickly and our waitress Linda was lovely and very chatty & polite. Following our dinner we had a short walk along the beach to top off a lovely evening. Would certainly recommend

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect swim, dine, and unwind experience! Visited for a relaxing day and it didn’t disappoint. The pool area is peaceful and well-maintained, with a lovely jacuzzi that really helps you unwind. I treated myself to a full-body massage with Jess—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. She’s fantastic! The spa overall is top-notch and definitely worth booking. We also dined at the bistro, which has a lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Family weekend away. Staff Really really nice and helpful. Room 2 rooms that they made into a family room. Adults in a double room and through old doorway kids in 2 singles. Both had separate bathrooms which was great. Old building so have to take that in to consideration but fine.(Personal preference are all different) Breakfast Nice breakfast so could not complain. Just a bit hectic and waited 20 mins before i had to ask if they can take order. Next day was better on that front. Dinner Very quick and friendly service. All food we really enjoyed. A nice selection. Good sized portions Location Great as on the beach front and can spend loads of time on there. Local shops like Tesco, costa, sports direct which is great if required anything as only a few minutes drive away. Internet The room we where in was not so good for Internet if all of you on. Seem to keep cutting out.

I had to go into the shop to get the offer that was on. I was told that the order had not been placed with them and was I sure it was placed to that location? It was and they asked the name to which I gave our surname and showed the girl my detailed order. There were only 2-3 stacks of boxes all varying so I found it reeeaallly odd that she was pretty sure the order wasn't there. I asked if she checked the order number and was told they can't use the order numbers from the app? I was about to leave in disbelief and then thought... Well I'll try my wife's first name... Then I was given the order... Which was the only one with the items in the order I had shown .. with the order number from Dominos. Worst service ever.

Absolutely disgusted in the attitude of the manager and not only to find at least 10 hairs on my food and didn’t even get a apology from the store manager I asked for a refund and got told he would email the area manager And I would find out by tomorrow and not even guaranteed that I would get a refund. You can clearly see the hairs in the photos without the ones I most likely ingested if I could give it a 0 star I would, feel physically sick .

To the family for dinner top notch! It was mint, the wife had gluten free pizza. A big thanks to the team last night

I've had several positive experiences with Domino's, so I was disappointed with my recent Saturday order. After contacting prestatyn store, I was met with a dismissive attitude and that my order discrepancy was impossible due to "the process." This was incredibly frustrating and made me feel like my concerns weren't being taken seriously. Fortunately, I was able to escalate the issue to a manager and received a prompt resolution. However, the delivery driver's lack of basic courtesy upon arrival was an additional negative. I believe Domino's would benefit from a review of customer service training for both in-store and delivery staff.

Always speedy service and always fresh and piping hot pizza.

Just experienced incredible service from Domino's Prestatyn: my son and his gf ordered 2 large pizzas tonight paying extra for some additional toppings, one of which was missed off their order. A lovely driver has just arrived at our house with a whole new pizza for them!! Being teens they're not gonna remember to leave a thank you review, let's be honest, so I'm doing it for them while they eat - well done Dominos, mistakes happen but it's how you deal with them that counts and this counts as 5 star problem-solving in our book 👍🏻🙏🏻🍕 (Oh, and the pizza is DEEEEEELICIOUS 😆😋!!)

Fish & chips restaurant
Fast food restaurant
If you're in the area, make sure to stop by Ffrith & Chips for a delightful culinary experience! Nestled conveniently near a caravan park, this charming eatery serves up freshly cooked fish and chips that are simply irresistible. Diners rave about the crispy batter on their cod and haddock, paired with perfectly cooked chips that aren't greasy at all. The service is exceptional too; Tanya and Esther go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need for your meal.
Highly recommend if you value taste over quantity! Although the food was greasy by the time it arrived, I warmed through in the oven for 10 mins, it was delicious. The haddock tasted very fresh, nicest piece of fish I've had from a chippy! The chip portions are smaller than you'd expect, but they were fluffy and crisp.
Christina W — Google review
Great little chippy and recommended by the locals, so you can't go wrong. My only slight caveat was my fish was slightly greasy as it had come straight out the fryer and not given a few moments to drain off but would much rather a fresh one and one sat in a warmer all day like you'd get at other places. Will be dropping back in when I'm next back for sure!
Dina M — Google review
Purchased two Cod and Chips. Not the best I have ever had but was OK. Service was good staff very friendly. Great to see enviromental trays but they could have put a few more chips in them in my opinion medium size portion. I would say that perhaps an oil change as well as my chips tasted like it was older oil not that fresh... this is from having experience in a fish and chips shop working back in my youth.
Nat — Google review
Visited here yesterday as we came here before when a man was in charge and it was delicious. We had tried to come here again a few times when staying in Prestatyn but each time we were either too early or it was closed for holidays. We were delighted to find it open this time. Ordered fish and chips and fishcake. Unfortunately the chips were completely black and not edible. We had come on the bus from Prestatyn at a cost of £11 just to go here and we were very disappointed. We took the chips back, the woman said she was sorry and would give us some more but we declined. I dont think the seagulls would have eaten them. We wont be coming again, can only assume it has changed hands.
Claire G — Google review
Good food at a cheap price. Been here twice and the food is delicious. Especially the chunky chips, curry sauce and chicken nuggets. There's plenty to choose from and it's all priced really cheap compared to other chippys, but it might be good to add a few healthy options such as little pots of fruit to go with kids meals and cheese & ham rolls. The food is also served really quickly and the staff are polite.
Daniel W — Google review
Lovely, hot, crispy, tasty fish and chips. Friendly staff and good prices. What more can you ask for

Nestled in the charming town of Prestatyn, the Prestatyn Golf Club offers a delightful golfing experience that is not to be missed. This stunning 6246-yard, PAR 72 course provides players with an authentic links-style challenge, making it a favorite among golf enthusiasts. The course is known for its excellent greens and well-maintained fairways that require precision and skill, especially when faced with the unpredictable Welsh winds.
This is a joy of a course to play with a great links feel. The wind can swirl around in different directions and this creates its own challenge. It's less undulating than some links courses, but don't be fooled by that, there's some real challenges on this course that require accurate shots. There's also some interesting greens to get to, especially the double green hole. Very friendly venue with putting green, warm up nets, practice range and the drive in, though the course, is a nice touch.

Party of 14 from Mile End GC visited on 27th March. Friendly welcome in the pro shop and ladies serving breakfast food. Course played excellently but a star short due to the very slow greens. Nice layout and mix of pars. 19th served an excellent Guinness. Would happily return.

Great course and facilities. Its a Beautiful course with a friendly welcome, This is a great test of your golf especially if the wind is blowing. I will certainly be visiting again. Greens were in fantastic condition. Not too fast but very fair and consistent.

It's a great course very hard tp play in the wind . Course in excellent condition greens are quick the ,bunkers are well placed some you can't see and difficult to get out of, the fairways are tight . Club host staff are friendly and polite

The Motte and Bailey castle, constructed in 1157, was erected on land gifted by King Henry II to Norman Lord Robert Banastre. Situated at a lower elevation, the castle exhibits remarkable durability despite its age. While much of the original medieval structure has vanished, numerous remnants from earlier periods endure. These historical artifacts make it an ideal destination for those intrigued by the rich local history of North Wales.

Harold — Google review
Bit of a strange one to review and definitely only for those who like to go and search out the more obscure historical sites. That said, you can still clearly see the earthworks of the motto, which is quite small and not very high. It's a little overgrown but easy enough to get to. There is a stone in the middle, but this is a much later addition. Access is via a kissing gate just off the main coast road, so be mindful that it can be very busy when crossing
Paul O — Google review
This must be one of the weirdest "castles" in Wales. There's virtually nothing to see. It's amazing to think that there was a real castle here in the past, and you can see traces of the walls from above, and stones buried in the ground. If you visit, bring along your imagination, and enjoy the views.

If I could give negative stars then I would do. We booked a family getaway for Christmas 2024 (Monday to Friday) paid £2100. Was told that it would all be decorated up etc… we were all so looking forward to it as it was something different to our normal Christmas. My family of four (two kids) and my parents were all packed with the presents, food and cases in the car ready to travel 3 hours to the Moores Cottage. I thought I would message the owner (Deb Moore) for the key code before we left. Only to be told that they had totally forgotten we were going to stay at the cottage and that the house wasn’t ready. That she would refund us, plus compensation. Still no refund!! I have messaged her multiple times and also rang her. No reply!! We are having to try and get the money back through our bank and they have opened up a case. Not only were our Christmas ruined, we are now out of pocket. DO NOT BOOK TO STAY HERE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!

The beautiful Barkby Beach in Prestatyn is supported by a wide promenade, sand dunes, and areas for picnics. From May to October, there are restrictions on dogs being allowed on the beach, but to the east of the promenade, dogs are welcome throughout the year. Living in Prestatyn allows one to appreciate this wonderful beach with its waves that provide great family fun. Picnics can be arranged by the beach and there is an ice cream stop nearby.
Lovely wide beach, came to watch the sunset was not disappointed its quiet just few dog walkers, very clean, ample parking.

Lovely clean sandy beach, great for walking along or building sandcastles. Waves were OK for boogie boarding with kids when the wind got up. Great spot for flying kites and beach games too. There's also a nice play park and mini-golf nearby, as well as a lovely cafe. No free public toilets though, we used the cafe toilets when buying a drink. The car parks are extremely convenient for reaching the beach very easily. Not too far to lug all the gear/picnic you need for a day at the beach. 🏖️🏄🌊

Fish & chips restaurant

Nestled in the charming seaside town of Prestatyn, Karl's Fish & Chips has become a beloved staple for both locals and visitors alike. This family-run establishment is renowned for its exceptional fish and chips, which are prepared fresh to order. Diners rave about the crispy batter enveloping perfectly cooked fish, with many noting that the generous portion sizes leave them feeling pleasantly satisfied. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a delightful spot to enjoy a classic meal by the sea.
Very nice lightly battered fresh fish and chips. The spicy option of curry sauce was a pleasant surprise. The dining room has a few tables, I am guessing it would be difficult to get a seat in peak season but there is a nice park opposite to sit on the grass in the sunshine. Thanks to 'karen" for the banter, it was good to have a bit of a laugh during our meal.
Jason R — Google review
Hands down the best fish and chip shop I’ve been to in a long time! The fish was perfectly cooked — crispy batter on the outside, flaky and fresh on the inside. Chips were golden, fluffy, and generously portioned. You can tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in what they serve. Service was friendly and efficient, even during the busy evening rush. Everything was piping hot and clearly cooked to order, not just sitting around. The mushy peas were spot on too — just the right consistency and flavour. Clean shop, fair prices, and a proper traditional chippy experience. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
Jordan W — Google review
The chips looked like they'd been blanched some time the week before and were just warmed up in the fryer. The fish was freshly (over) cooked and came swimming in grease. The peas could be sliced they were so thick. My partner reported that the gravy was really good. We both had a bit of a dicky tummy the day after.
Denis W — Google review
Drove from Manchester to get dinner here, absolutely lovely . Wife’s go to on day out. Lovely staff. Came here about 4 years ago from someone else recommended it. Always clean trays .
Landy F — Google review
Absolutely the BEST fish and chips we have had in ages! Friendly staff making us some ‘scraps’ was no trouble at all. Batter was beautiful and crispy, chips were delightful and the fishcake tasted home made…. Then if that wasn’t good enough the mushy peas were ‘proper’ and the curry sauce an utter delight.
Claire M — Google review
We ordered fish and chips , the two ladies who served us was great, very polite and chatty . The food was very good . We only go to Prestatyn once a year so will be visiting again next year

Normally this place would get 5* across the board from me as it's the only place I can get Gluten free Fish and chips when I come on holiday, I usually get that at lunchtime. Imagine how very disappointed I am having travelled from the Black Country only to be told "You've left it too late" when arriving at barely 1825hrs on a Friday after I've been at work in Birmingham! I would strongly suggest they amend their website to state "Gluten free for a bit on Fridays until the staff can't be bothered anymore"

The rude and disrespectful employee behaves out of line. I used to use this store alot more. The girls are great. The new manager who jas recently now gone, since the change of managers, is shocking. This guy doesn't seem to know what he is doing? Ypung lad who was pn may need retraining too as today's food, cold, not toasted dispite him placing it in toaster (I didn't notice as I was saying hi to the other staff member who was nice and polite and GOOD AT HER JOB!) The manager had single handedly ruined this store. I wouldnt go in when he was working as it was so poor. He barely spoke a word and seemed to lack people skills - no wonder the staff were leaving already !! The girls that work there and another young lad there are great. Polite. Chatting with customers and make it a nice experience.

Practically no food off the menu, on a Saturday. The person serving exceptionally slow and frustrating to deal with. Just slowly listing the food they didn't have, when they had one bread that looked dodgy. Had to leave empty handed. Worst Subway I've ever been in, never going here again.

The restaurant is very quaint and cosy, and the staff are nice and friendly. I’m sad to say that the food was awful though, poorly prepared and bland tasting. It’s a shame as I love Italian food and this place seems to have satisfied other customers before, but my group weren’t impressed.

Absolutely gorgeous! The food was amazing - only took photographs of my food and I had the king prawns to start and crusted salmon for main - both delicious! My mum had the steak which was lovely and my partner ate the carbonara which they kindly made vegetarian and put mushrooms instead! The atmosphere was great and had lovely wine. Also had desserts - lemon cheese cake and tiramisu. These were ok.. in my opinion needed more sugar, especially the tiramisu as it wasn’t sweet enough for me! Will definitely be coming back and would recommend!

Families will appreciate the generous portions at great prices—perfect for enjoying a sunny day out! The friendly staff, led by the welcoming manager Rhys, create a warm atmosphere that makes choosing your favorite scoop an enjoyable experience.
This ice cream parlour is an absolute gem. The ice cream and coffee are the best in the area, though the real asset is the manager, Rhys. Genuinely, one of the nicest people I’ve met in a long time and a credit to the business.

Gorgeous, tasty ice-creams with different flavours such as Rhubarb & Custard. Massive portions and great value for money. Our family of 4 had a single scoop with sprinkle wafer cone each and two bottles of still water for only £17. Amazing and if your in the area we highly recommend. All Covid procedures in place too. 👍🏻😋

Just got back from a superb cream tea at The Nova Prestatyn. Excellent food, excellent service. We went to celebrate our friend’s 70th birthday and she has come away delighted!! Thank you and well done Jayne and your lovely girls!!

Restaurant, swimming pool, and soft play area. The food was very good but there were limited opinions. The soft play area was really good and my granddaughter enjoyed here time and was wanting to return next weekend. Swim pool was not used but looked we maintained and clean

Hosted a 5th birthday party. Nobody greeted us. Nobody mentioned when food would be. No pitchers for juice until I asked. A knife was brought out and left and that was it. I don't see what you're even paying for? I could have paid for the kids individually & purchased meals and it would have been identical and come out cheaper. Nobody came to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Kitchen staff all seemed like they didn't want to be there and unapproachable. Gave 2 stars since kids had fun in the soft play but apart from thay very unimpressed.

We had my little girls birthday party here on the 17th of August- Kieran was FANTASTIC. In the height of the summer holidays, it was so busy and Kieran seemed to be on his own manning the desk and accommodating our party of 13 children + parents. We were initially anxious before arriving about how well things would be organised like food, cake etc. however Kieran honestly outdone himself- he was lovely and quick to get us sorted upon arrival, he explained how the next two hours would go, asked if we had any questions or needed anything and continued to come and go to our table a few times throughout the party to make sure we were all okay. The food was given an hour and an half into the party- he let us know 10 mins before so we could gather the children with plenty of time. We sang happy birthday and Kieran took our cake and cut it into around 25 pieces and put them onto plates for us to hand out. We had multiple parents mention how kind and efficient he was. He was so patient with the children and just such a nice vibe and person. I hope someone can show this to Kieran as he ran the whole soft play, manned the desk, kept the party happy seemingly effortlessly. Well done Kieran and thankyou. We hope to see you again at another party!

We visited Nova for the soft play, which was fantastic. It was massive with plenty of room to play for hours, also if you decide to go on a Tuesday it’s half price (£1.95). They have a cafe which serves coast coffee and a wide range of food! The building has a swimming pool and gym also included. The whole building was spotless and really modern. Would definitely visit again.
Anthony D — Google review
The play session we booked was really good it was spoilt by the quality of the food which was served. Having visited nova numerous times over the past 3 years always dining there with the children came away hungry and feeling we had been more than over charged for the amount of food and poor quality we were served. Tasteless watery jacket potatoes with tuna tablespoon of salad and egg cup full of closlaw very disappointing. Macaroni cheese 2 tablespoons full of and a slice of garlic bread extra slice of garlic bread charged £1.75 for. Burger meal burnt burger poor quality. 2 x small slush drinks £3.50 each. Noticed other families there had brought own food not surprising felt we had been robbed. Not a nice experience for us or our grandchildren don't deserve one star

They changed my membership for an expensive one without my consent. They told me I should contact with them previously as per the emails they sent (I had received only one and went to the spam) I explained I have not used any extra service from that membership and I contacted them right away after my bank notified me about the change of the recurrent payment. They do not care.

Nova center staff really didn't have a clue what was going on around them . I was wanted to take my children to the soft play area when I got in there I waited 10 minutes to be served then got a member of staff that was useless she told me to get a member car for my children so I said yes it took 20 minutes to fill out the forms then u had to pay no problem that will be 42.75 the clueless member of staff didn't tell me I had to pay 15 pounds a child for the cards at this point I didn't bother and walked out and away seen as u had been in there now for 45 minutes I got my children walked through to the play area payed in there . Soft play is good I have been to better the Jade Jones center in Flint is far better small but good for all ages and if you buy a card from here it only cost 2.50 a child and admission to all centers across Flintshire is a little less . Prestatyn Beach is lovely in clean good for dog walking and for children to play on plenty of cafes around to get ice creams and drinks playground not too far from the beach car parking charges do apply .

This is a small site, tucked into a regular area of homes. It was interesting for a quick visit. The base of this small bath complex is relatively complete, and the state of the original structure is illustrated and described well on the one signboard.

You won't be blown away by the size of it. However it's fascinating to see none the less. Getting on for 2000 years old, wow!

Lovely little place to see a part of history. Located in the middle of a housing estate so a little difficult to find, And no amenities near by, so just bear this in mind. Once there, their is parking for approximately 2 cars, and then extra along the road of the estate. The ruins are set in a nice little garden area and very well presented. A lovely place to visit if you are staying in or passing through Prestatyn.

Visitors have praised the beautiful mix of colors on the indoor bowling green and highlighted the excellent service and delicious food at reasonable prices.
I have meetings here and it's quiet and they do lovely food, drinks and have a bar also, the green bowling is lovely to play or watch, they do a very good Sunday roast , toilets available good carpark, and a wheelchair for the green to bowl with if you're a wheelchair user 🙂, it's definitely a relaxing place. Bingo is on a wednesday btw,

Whenever we visit, we always come here for lunch. There is something for everyone, and the food is really high quality. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Food comes out quickly once ordered. It's decorated nicely, and is generally clean and tidy. There is various types of seating, including outdoor (just watch out for seagulls!!!). Would highly recommend!

Brilliant venue for playing bowls.pretty damn good place for a meal too! Went with friends who live locally, I was a bit circumspect at going but they do take us to some lovely places when we go up to see them, we trust them and again they came up trump's! Easy carparking, almost on the seafront, disabled access and toilets for those that need it and once inside you see the most beautiful mix of colours of the indoor bowling green! I was fascinated! Note to self: book a game when we go with someone who can teach me how to play! 😉 Any way, we ordered our dinner and drinks whilst watching a few people play bowls, it was really relaxing, the staff were pleasant and just enough attentive and the dinner was beautiful. Not overly priced, but, enough for my big belly and the cider was superb! Top hint... If you like a glass of cider dinnertime, get your mate to drive! 😜 In summary: Clean, affordable, nice food great service and you can play bowls too whilst your car is parked for free in the carpark, then go and look at the sea! Note for the disabled, you will be looked after! 😀

Diners rave about the diverse menu featuring mouthwatering options like chicken massaman curry, satay chicken, mee goreng with char siu pork, and kung po duck. Lovely place with really lovely staff! Food was super tasty 😋 really good selection of Malaysian, Thai and Chinese dishes and we loved it all! Had the chicken massaman curry, satay chicken, mee goreng (chicken and char siu - pork), kung po duck and noodles on the side. All gorgeous!

Got to say we were so looking forward to this after the amazing reviews but we’re so disappointed. All the food was really really sweet like they’ve put in sugar instead of salt. Very strange. And the deep fried prawn wan tons, literally just pastry, no filling what so ever (see pic) gutted as we spent over £50. Maybe dine-in is a better experience?
Hannah D — Google review
By far the worst Chinese take away we’ve ever had! Service on the phone was rude - the lady literally shouted at me and tutted when I asked how much it was going to be as if it was too much effort to go back through the order. After reading the reviews, we saw past this and collected anyway. BBQ sauce was watery and separating from the oils and water - really gloopy and vile. Tiniest sweet and sour battered chicken balls in existence. Really crunchy and dry. Didn’t give them to our daughters incase it broke their baby teeth. Chicken inside them was really dried out and literally ripped into strips. Such small pieces and ultimately a huge disappointment. Prawn crackers were ok - take or leave them. Egg fried rice was ok portion in fairness, nothing special though. Chips were more like frozen fries that have been thrown into the fryer and salt and pepper chips were average. Really not impressed and definitely would not recommend. One disappointment Chinese loving family. Just look at those photos - don’t go there.

Visiting from London and honestly, you just don’t find Chinese food like this anymore—so we were pleasantly surprised and seriously impressed. We knew we’d picked the right spot the moment we arrived and saw the queue spilling out the door! Staff were super friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout. Every dish was absolutely delicious—not greasy, just fresh, flavourful, and cooked perfectly. A real gem. Couldn’t recommend it more!

I moved back to the area after being away for 20 years, and I’m so glad I found this lovely place on my doorstep, it’s dog friendly indoors too which is something I didn’t experience much in England. The food quality is commendable, with highlights like their sui mai that are sure to please your palate. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID !! Absolutely disgusting, I've never known Chow Mein to have tons of broccoli, mini corns and raw carrots in !! The chips were like slop, and none of the food had any flavor what so ever, all went in the bin !! 🤮

Not very pleased with the food.. Luke warm egg fried rice, tasteless overcooked chop suey spring rolls and worst shredded beef I have ever tasted, beef virtually non existent, just dry battered strips(Cantonese sauce was nice but couldn’t hide the poor taste and texture from the strips) On the plus side, spare ribs were ok was offered another shredded beef but declined

Absolutely shocking ! Ordered my food as a regular to get the wrong item , called up and the lady said to come down for a replacement item to get there and her scream and shout at my husband in a shop full of customers and then tell him to shut up ! Yet they made the mistake on the order not us . Took all my food back and got a refund , will not be going back customer service is diabolical!

During my recent trip to North Wales, I made a nostalgic stop at Ng Chinese Takeaway, a place I had fond memories of from three years ago. To my delight, the same cheerful lady was there serving customers with her warm smile. While I remembered the generous portion sizes from my last visit, this time they seemed smaller—likely a reflection of the ongoing cost of living challenges affecting many businesses. However, she was incredibly helpful and pointed out some budget-friendly meal options that were truly appreciated.
Giant spring roll with curry sauce 1000/10 😍 not the usual chips you'd get with a Chinese, but loved them anyway!
Sadie K — Google review
Worst Chinese I’ve ever tasted. Had one bite and threw away. The curry tasted like water and the boiled rice was just horrible I don’t know how a basic Chinese dish could taste so bad! It was spot the meat and the chicken was tiny, dry chewy bits. Never again!
Michelle R — Google review
Worst Chinese I ever had!! 😭Egg fried rice was too salty, chicken chow mein didn't look like a chow mein, also too salty. Everything was extremely gressy. My kids wouldn't even touch it. It was also expensive for the low quality food you get (£27). We wished we went to McDonald's instead (and we don't even eat McDonald's) 😭
Beata G — Google review
Not one to usually leave a review but don’t want others to make the same mistake as us and order from here, easily the worst Chinese food - if not any type of food we’ve ever had. Hardly any meat in meat dishes, no flavour, rubbery meat and the ‘sauce’ was just beige water regardless of the dish. The food didn’t even look appetising and tasted worse than it looked, very disappointing. The lady behind the desk was very nice though.
Amy W — Google review
I visited this place 3 years ago on my last visit to North Wales do went along to see if they were still there. Toy surprise they were and still the same happy lady serving. This was great to see! 3 years ago the portion sizes were so big we could of shared, sadly this wasn't the case this time around. I guess the cost of living crisis has hit everyone! The lovely lady seemed to have our best interests and pointed up to the cheaper options as a meal which I thought was fantastic. My curry and rice was £8 I want to say obviously this was instead of full portions hence why it was cheaper. The other meal she suggested was so great but I guess it's down to personal preference. I wouldn't say our visit was bad because of this. Would I come back? If ever I was in North Wales then definitely even if it was just to see the lady on the front desk Thank you .

This place is really bad they carnt even cook fried rice full of table salt an fake ham

1 star is too many for this takeaway … absolutely disgusting!!! Everything tasted like it was cooked in old dirty oil. Chips were dark brown & overcooked and on top of the fried rice and chow mein were 2 rubber fried eggs. We ordered a chicken dish that came with 2 tiny pieces of chicken and the sauce on the ribs was thick like jelly. Wouldn’t feed this food to a dog

Worst chinese we have ever had Spring rolls were soggy and resembled no spring roll I've ever tasted King prawn sweet and sour awful the sauce was do dilute it was almost tasteless no wonder she asked if I wanted the sauce separately. It wasn't chicken. The prawns were rubbery, not at all nice Fried rice did have eggs but needed the watered down sauce yo give some flavour All I can say is never again
