The Royal Albert Docks are a great spot to shop and enjoy the delicious foods Liverpool has to offer. No tickets are necessary unless you want to enter the beatles story experience, which is highly recommended. While.we were there there was always plenty of activity including crew teams practicing in the quay.

Historical landmark and one of the highlights of Liverpool. Perfect place for a morning, afternoon or evening stroll, catch up with friends for a cup of coffee or a drink. Albert Dock has some lovely places to eat with outdoor seating for any weather. Must visit when in Liverpool.

Went in October, cold and very windy both sides of the dock . Mostly places to eat and a few souvenir shops pretty over priced . A sweet shop with a great jellybean pic of the Beatles in the window but again very overpriced. We had coffee & cake in the museum, which was free( not the coffee & cake ) which was the best bit for us lots of history … parking in the docks is £3 an hour which is quite steep . Overall worth a visit .

Always love visiting this place. Day trip with my family and parents. I completely forgot museums are closed on a Monday! Still, there was lots to see and do 😀

These are the largest, oldest buildings. There is The Beatles museum, Travel lodge, as well as independent shops, and cafes. Very busy place, lovely views over the docks.

Very picturesque and lots of lovely looking restaurants although we didn't sample them. Nice just for a wander round, would love to return and explore further. My first time in Liverpool so it was a must see!

Great area... especially with the Beatles statue. An accoustic musician was performing Beatles tunes next to it, which set the tone. We started there on our Liverpool adventure. It was a relaxed environment, everyone was friendly and we felt safe the entire time. Being right on the water, it was great bird and people watching and we even snagged an ice cream from a street vendor while having a bit of a rest in the sun. Lovely experience and fantastic location!

Not knowing what to expect and not really a big fan of museums we were pleasantly surprised at how good this was. The staff were very friendly and the audio was easy to use giving details as you walked around. The immersive areas were fantastic, walking around each area with background music really brought things to life. The yellow submarine, the cavern club, strawberry fields, abbey road, penny Lane... everything was amazing. We visited the actual cavern club the night before and the room in the museum was exactly the same. We are so glad we visited. The shop, cafe and discovery area where you could dress up as a beetle were all great too. Highly recommend, probably the best place we visited in Liverpool.

We had an AMAZING experience at The Beatles Story. Went on a Monday in the late morning. There were 4 of us, including our 8 year old Beatles obsessed son. The self guided audio tour allowed a lot of flexibility for our multi generational group. The exhibits were spot on and great photo ops! Learned a ton, had a blast! Definitely recommend!

It was really good. The replica of the cavern club and the yellow submarine were great. The shop is extensive with loads of beatles merch that my kids are now enjoying. Overall a great day The only downside was everyone walking around with the headphones and little tablets. Almost felt like I was in a zombie apocalypse. I had to keep interrupting my party to chat about it, or be interrupt myself when they wanted to chat.

Very nice experience with a great history behind the band. You go down the steps into the entrance and are invited to have a green screen photo of yourselves as the beetles, Headsets are provided with short video's shown as you go around and yes you can sit down at various stops and enjoy the story, art, photos and videos of your self guided tour it IS a place to visit if your visiting the UK and enjoy old music and history made and shaped modern sound you have today. I provided a FEW photo's but you will have to visit to enjoy what's there ! Ps The staff are very friendly as are the locals who will guide you to and through the venue 👍

An excellent experience. I spent the best part of 4 hours there because I wanted to learn about all the exhibits. The best part for me was the replica of the Cavern Club - I could just imagine myself there in the 60s, watching the Beatles play! I was slightly let down by the audio guide gadget, which stopped working halfway through my time there. Because there were no staff inside the exhibition, I had to walk through to the end, get a replacement and then go back in. That's why I've removed a star.

I didn’t notice the “closed” notice on Google, so I couldn’t find the entrance and ended up wandering around for 30 minutes. Make sure to check the reopening schedule before you visit!

The creative area for kids is good. It is a good option for keeping kids involved in activities. Art section is good. Two galleries to see. Nice and polite staff.

There is virtually nothing to see inside. Two galleries and a small shop. I'm not a fan of contemporary art and the biggest gallery is presenting this in their biennial collection. The second gallery has some rather interesting photos.

Complete disappointment! The building is being refurbished, so we were directed by a notice assuring us that there was a temporary exhibition space alongside the RIBA where we would be able to see some art. We spent a while trying to find the building as there were no signs outside indicating we were at the right place. Having finally found it, we were told that there was no exhibition after all, and only one room with a rather uninspiring RIBA display that we were in no mood to try to interpret. What a shame!

There are a lot of worthy exhibits. As is usual in modern art, without descriptions not much would be clear, but the writing is very decent and really makes you see the meanings behind the clutter of objects. Picasso and Dalí are modestly neighboring with the most daring exhibits.

The major Tate was under refurbishment so we went to the tiny Tate which was ok but.not a huge amount in it

It's a pared down set of exhibits while the main museum building is undergoing renovation. I loved both the Tates in London but was quite disappointed. Will have to come back when it reopens.

It’s a great place to look back on the history and learn about trades, railway revolutions, lifestyle and some glimpse from WW1 and WW2 in city soldiers section. It’s worth the trip. It is well maintained, educational and walkable distance from bus and train station.

Nipped in here with my 9 year old and my husband as we were in Liverpool to go to my university library. I have been here many times and everytime I feel like I am seeing something new or realising I missed something the last time I was there. The atmosphere is so calm 😌 The staff there are so lovely and helpful, lifts work and toilets were very clean. There were some interactive displays for the children to get involved in which was amazing to see. Will definitely be back 😀

The exhibits themselves are thoughtfully curated, covering everything from the city's maritime past to its vibrant musical heritage. It's clear that a great deal of effort has gone into telling Liverpool's story, and the sheer breadth of content makes for a very interesting and informative visit. ​The staff also deserve a special mention. They were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, always ready with a friendly smile and keen to answer any questions. Their enthusiasm for the museum and the city's history was infectious and added a lot to the overall experience. ​However, a couple of issues detracted from what could have been a perfect visit. The first was the use of audio within the displays. In several sections, audio—whether it was spoken dialogue or ambient sound—was playing, and the noise from multiple sources made it very difficult to concentrate. It was a real challenge to read the display boards and absorb the information when competing with overlapping audio from other parts of the exhibition. ​Secondly, the lighting in some areas was far too dim. While I appreciate the intention to create a certain atmosphere, the low light levels made it genuinely hard to view the items and, more importantly, to read the text on the display boards. I found myself straining to make out words and details, which took away from the enjoyment of the exhibits. ​Overall, the Museum of Liverpool is a must-visit for anyone interested in the city's past, thanks to its fascinating content and excellent staff. However, addressing the issues with audio and lighting would make the experience significantly more accessible and enjoyable for all visitors. The museum has the potential to be truly world-class, and these small changes would make a huge difference.

This is a fascinating free museum (or if you wish, you can pay a £5 donation at the entrance). You are able to pick different trails and follow them through the exhibits.

Probably the most famous club in the world. Bands doing short sets then change to another band. Plenty of memorabilia to look at around the walls and obviously plenty of Beatles covers by all bands. Decent selection of drinks and plenty of staff serving. But, the bar is CASHLESS. Also, a very varied age range of clientele, ranging from 20 to 70. Nice.

A must go place if you visit Liverpool. Fab experience and superb atmosphere. The pub is small and compact with low ceilings, but that’s exactly what you look. Wide variety of drinks including alcohol free beer. Price is similar to other pubs, surprisingly reasonable. It got a souvenir shop as well selling techies, cups and other Cavern Club accessories. An awesome cultural experience and the best pub we ever visited.

Stopped in at The Cavern Club after our Beatles tour while in Liverpool. The vibe was chill, with a musician performing, and you’re free to wander around at your own pace. Entry was £5, and I was surprised by how big it was underground, with tunnels leading into different rooms and bars. The memorabilia (though I wish there was more) added to the fun, nostalgic atmosphere. Overall, it’s a must for any Beatles fan, and I’m glad to have The Cavern Club under my belt as an important part of Beatles history. Saluti

Where The Beatles started out. We managed to get tickets for Saturday night performance by The Cavern Club Beatles. Support act was a solo keyboard player who was excellent and got the crowd warmed up. Then the band came on at 9.15 and wow, they were amazing, sounded just like the real thing! They did 4 sets with costume changes each time. 'John' was Uncannily like Lennon in looks and mannerisms. Fabulous night. Tip - lf you want a seat in front of stage queue at 7pm at the back entrance!!!!

No trip to Liverpool is complete without a visit to the cavern club. We went in the evening and entry was £5 per person. There are several flights of stairs to get in and the walls are covered in photos of people who have played there. The atmosphere was amazing. There is a lot of memorabilia from guitars, photos, toys etc. There is always live music which was very good and everyone singing along. There are a few tables and chairs but it was standing room only when we visited. A very reasonable entry fee for a fantastic evening.

Tribute nights and peak-hour sessions often sell out—checking the schedule and booking ahead pays off. Bring ID, travel light, and wear comfortable shoes; it gets warm when the room fills. If the queue is long, the Cavern Pub across the street runs live music with easier access, and the merch shop on Mathew Street is worth a quick look. For a music lover, it’s the right mix of heritage and energy: polished enough to run like clockwork, raw enough to feel authentic. A must on any Liverpool itinerary.

I was not really bothered about going to the Cavern Club. But i really enjoyed it .There were a couple of groups playing while we were there an we thoroughly enjoyed them . It was really interesting walking around looking at the memorabilia. The only down side was the cost of the drinks which you can understand, but the £10 entrance fee was a bit steep. I would definitely recommend visiting The Cavern Club. If visiting Liverpool.

The statues are amazing on the water front vendors singing Beatles tunes and lots of people all hanging out kids on the docs with skateboards looking at ships in the river some of them restaurants that u can board and have brunch on the river meeting people from other countries just very nice relaxing looking at the architecture and ships in the harbor plenty of shops and restaurants

A very popular tourist destination for Liverpool, right on the door step of the Mersey ferry port. A very recommended journey for those who want to say they ferried across the Mersey. Just as a note the boat also does a brief tour so staying on the boat to get off at the original start point is an option as well as visiting the Beatles statue. The statue will be crowded for photo ops and visitors do show a good sense of queuing etiquette and time share for photos being taken with the boys. As a bonus for those of a certain era, there is also a Billy Fury statue at the some dock

Liverpool was overall the most amazing place and 99% of the people we spoke to or encountered were so friendly, happy and helpful some with great stories. The waterfront and the docks have so much to offer with the Merseyside ferry, shops at the dock, an amphibious vehicle tour, Liverpool building tour, beatles shop and cafe, a gorgeous boat called "Daffodil" to have food which was really lovely, a Liverpool museum, Tate gallery all in the space of under a mile. We will be moving to Liverpool in the future. And for me the most amazing place that I cant explain how good and emotional was ANFIELD omg 😍 what can I say im speechless. The tour and museum were soooo good and the people there were such gracious, funny, friendly humans 😄 thank you xxx

A beautiful statue of the fab four. Near the cruise ship terminal so sometimes a crowd. Have to pay to park, so getting there might be the hardest part..

Always love walking around the waterfront. Took the drone out to see the galleon on Canning dock & see the views from the Liver birds.

I have two things to say! First, it's my dad's favourite attraction when he arrives in Liverpool. Second, it's a very good spot where you can take good photos with a crazy background!

We went to visit it but it was closed due to renovations. The area is nice, spacious and there’s a lot of stores. I was told the museum has incredible exhibits and it’s worth spending time there. There are toilets in every big block and lots of walking spaces.

I popped into the Maritime Museum in Liverpool, and honestly, it’s a gem! Tucked away in the cool Albert Dock, it’s got this vibe that pulls you right into the city’s seafaring soul. You’ve got everything from old ship models to stories about the Titanic that hit you in the feels, plus a really moving section on the slave trade that doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff. It’s all super interactive, so you’re not just staring at dusty relics. Best part? It’s free (though I tossed in a donation). Perfect for a quick visit, maybe an hour or two, and you can swing by the Tate Liverpool after. Loved it—total must-see if you’re into history or just curious!

Great museum with great guides. Great place to bring family, pupils, students to learn about British history, the trans Atlantic slave and how much Britain had to do with it, among many other things. Highly recommend! For anyone bringing children, please brief them on being respectful for there's a lot of sensitive history displayed.

Incredible place with so much history. Suitable for all ages and also has interactive features throughout. Free to enter but a £5 donation is appreciated. Well worth £5. But it's not mandatory to pay. So a low income family could visit for free.

I personally feel this Maritime museum in Liverpool is better than the one in London. Really enjoyed it. There are 3 floors showing different themes to make me understand so much about the maritime’s world. Also there are a lot of parts to make kids interested. Will definitely bring kids to come again. 2-hour trip with kids is an ideal timing to enjoy I suggest. Definitely A Great Museum👍

This place is somewhat of a local legend. I’ve been meaning to come here for a while, but I’m quite lazy and I haven’t stayed down near the Albert Dock recently, so it’s had to wait until that came around again.. Anyhow, that time has now come and so I took the opportunity to visit on a grey and windswept summers day, as squalls whipped across the dock and tourists ran for cover. The restaurant itself is in one of the dockside Pavillions - if you’ve been here, you’ll know the score. Beautiful brick buildings that were rescued from dereliction in the mid-1980s; former warehouse buildings, they have brick vaults, low ceilings and loads of character. Some of the refurb is a bit 80s’tastic, as you’d expect, but it has mainly stood the test of time well. Gusto itself is in one of the first pavilions that you come to as you come in the main gate opposite the Hilton, next to the Dockmaster’s office. The entrance is discrete, as they all are here, with corner signage and an inset door. Inside, the restaurant is dark, although there is a wall of glass dockside, with views of the water and the boats. Seated straight away on what appeared to be quite a busy night, the service was good and drinks etc were offered quickly. They had Noam, which is quite a fancy beer that I’ve only had previously in Gaucho - it’s a German-style beer that comes in quite a fancy bottle. Love a fancy bottle. I wasn’t actually very hungry, so I was focussed on smaller meals that packed a punch in terms of flavour, rather than a pizza or something like that (their pizzas are good though - had one in Edinburgh). To start, I chose the arancini - this was an excellent portion, three little arancini with mozzarella and saffron aioli. Big flavours and very rich. Hit. For a main, they had a three-meat lasagna, which sounded good - I actually saw someone else having this, so knew the portion was reasonable. A bit weird it didn’t say what the three meats were - I assume pork, chicken and beef? - but overall the flavour was good. The waiter seemed to think I would need sides, but it really didn’t need sides - I guess I could have had garlic bread, but it didn’t need it. Some people might order chips with it, but that would be greedy. No pudding on this occasion, as I was full, but they do a very nice tiramisu - as I recall from Edinburgh, they serve this from a big bowl at the table. I mean, that’s a degree of theatre I don’t necessarily need in my life, but it does presumably demonstrate that the tiramisu is freshly made in house. That’s nice. Overall I would definitely eat here again - this is a nice restaurant, the food was pretty good value and the service was efficient and friendly - if you like cocktails etc, then there seemed to be a lot of that going on as well behind me, with much rattling of the cocktail shaker. I think next time I’ll have the garlic mushrooms to start and the salsicca pizza for a main - I will even splash out the 45p to make it a diavola with the addition of fresh chilli. Well done, two paws up. Recommended.

Just had a beautiful meal here. Staff amazing and so was the food. We enjoyed every mouthful, didn't want it to end! The only thing I would change is a few more sun dried tomatoes and bread on the sharing board, but it was all thoroughly enjoyed. Sorry I didnt take a photo of our starter, it was absolutely beautiful. THANK YOU

We visited this evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our kids. The staff were really friendly (especially Giuliana, who couldn’t do enough for us!), especially with our daughters, the food was delicious ( the make your own pizza on the kids menu is brilliant!) and the place itself was lovely. It was our first visit but we’ll definitely be back! The special dessert we were brought for our anniversary made it all even more special!

We came in off the chance late on a Saturday. The restaurant was so busy we thought we would be turned away. A little 5 minute wait in the bar and was shown to our table. Louise was looking after us, her service was great and we was well looked after all evening. The food was delicious, drinks was great. Not sure what more you could ask for!

We have been to many restaurants around the world but this one has the best gluten free pizza we have ever tasted! All the food was great! We had a great dinner with an amazing service we received from Michal all along they way. We will definitely return to the restaurant next time we come to Liverpool

We had an exceptional lunch at Gusto Italian Liverpool. The food and drinks were top-notch, with delicious flavours and generous portions that really made the meal special. However, the service was just okay. Initially, we sat outside by the dock, which was lovely but very windy. Unfortunately, when we had to move inside because of the weather, we didn’t receive any assistance from staff, which was a bit disappointing. The final bill for our party of four came to £140 for a midday lunch, including a 12.5% service charge that was automatically added. While the food and drinks definitely made up for the average service, it’s worth being aware of the added charge. Overall, Gusto is a great spot if you’re looking for exceptional Italian cuisine in a lively, picturesque setting.

McDonald’s Lord Street - Surprisingly this was the best experience I have had in a McDonald’s, it was busy with lots of kids however the food was hot, well put together; service was phenomenal as the guy who delivered our food was polite and charming. He made sure when he delivered the food that everything was there and when we finished he even put our tray way and cleaned the table. He was all over, helping people when I seen him. I ordered a box of 20 nuggets, chips and a coke. My partner ordered a grill Bic Mac meal and a mayo chicken. My nuggets were fresh from the VAT and my chips were really hot and well salted. My partners grill order was correct and the Big Mac was well put together which is rare for a busy shop as normally they just throw the burgers together. Only downside was that our boxes the chips came in were greasy. This can happen when if some of the boxes fall into the chips when filling it up but it wasn’t a huge problem as we tip the box into another box anyway. The place was great too, good location in the city centre and couldn’t recommend any more, best McDonald’s I’ve been to.

Worst McDonalds ever, went there at 3.30am waited for what I thought was going to be fresh hot food, 10 mins later received my food Luke warm fries looked like they had been cooked twice, stake house stack was dry along with cold, the double cheese burger was that cold the cheese did not even melt, did not get any sauce even though it comes with garlic bread cheese dippers, what a joke, just beyond me how it's possible to receive cold food when its cooked to order that time of night, is it the staff are is it equipment failure, maybe a oil change would also help with this situation, worst McDonalds I have had in a while that's for sure,

I have placed an order on Uber Eats this morning, and I’m very disappointed with the condition of the muffins. Both items look extremely unappetizing — the buns appear to be ripped or possibly bitten, which is completely unacceptable.

I buy from this restaurant every now and then. It’s a good, spacious place with friendly staff. Once, I had an issue late at night with my order, but the staff quickly helped me and resolved it. I tried both the vegetarian and beef burgers; they taste almost the same, so those who don’t eat meat will still get the same experience. Prices are reasonable. The only downside is that the burger feels a bit small. I recommend it.

This stadium is an iconic football ground that has so much tied to it that anyone visiting will be swept off his feet, even someone who does not support Liverpool, like myself. I was swept up with the singing, the camaraderie, the enthusiasm and the general atmosphere- I thoroughly enjoyed the experience (Liverpool lost to Man Utd on the day)

We were in London on 19 October 2025, and Liverpool was playing Manchester United at Anfield. We were lucky enough to get two tickets for the match. We joined the queue to enter the stadium at around 4.15 p.m. and got to our seats within 10 minutes—just in time for the players’ walkout. When You’ll Never Walk Alone played, the atmosphere was truly electric—something I will never forget. The passion, the unity, and the roar of the crowd were simply spine-tingling. When the match kicked off, Manchester United scored within two minutes, and the home crowd fell silent. Still, we never stopped cheering for the team, and by the 78th minute, when Cody Gakpo found the net, the entire stadium erupted in joy. What happened after that… I will leave unsaid, as my memory happily ends there. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one to tick off my bucket list. I urge every football fan to watch a match at Anfield at least once. Win or lose, you will never regret it.

The atmosphere in the stadium was absolutely electric! The fans were so passionate, and hearing You’ll Never Walk Alone gave me chills. Liverpool beat Real Madrid 1–0, and Thibaut Courtois was definitely the standout player for Madrid. Best crowd I’ve ever seen!

Visiting Anfield was an unforgettable experience! It was a surprise gift from my loved ones — a tour of the legendary Liverpool stadium, which I’ve supported for years. I was lucky to have a sunny day, and walking through the stands and seeing the pitch felt like a dream come true. The atmosphere, the history, and the emotion of the place are truly special. A must-visit for every Liverpool fan or no fan!

Had a lovely experience visiting Anfield Stadium. Although I’m not a Liverpool fan, the club and its players are truly deserving of their status and rich history. I explored the Liverpool FC shop and museum — such an impressive collection of trophies and memorabilia on display. It’s amazing to see that Liverpool have at least one of every major cup, even if some are replicas, they still capture the club’s incredible legacy. I couldn’t resist picking up a customised Liverpool mug with my name on it for £12.50 at the gift shop — an absolute bargain and a great souvenir from a memorable visit.

The Liverpool World Museum is a must visit cultural landmark in the city. Best of all, it’s free to enter and perfect for both adults and kids. The museum has so much to see, from the Planetarium, Dinosaurs, Ancient Egypt, and Endangered Plants to the Bug House and Aquarium. Each floor offers different themed exhibits, so there’s something for everyone. Plan to spend around 2–3 hours here. Afterwards, you can easily walk to St George’s Hall and Liverpool Central Library, both right next door. A great way to spend a day in Liverpool!

I absolutely loved this museum. Five floors of amazing facts, history, and knowledge, yet my mum and I only made it to the third floor. We spent four whole hours just wandering through those first three levels, soaking everything in. The aquarium was a delight. I was amazed to learn that it is the second-oldest aquarium in the world, and from what I could observe (with my admittedly limited knowledge), the fish and other marine animals seemed well cared for which is a big plus in my book. And then came the permanent Egyptian exhibit. A dream come true. I’ve always been deeply fascinated by ancient Egypt, and this museum’s collection is truly outstanding. Dare I say it even surpasses the British Museum’s Egyptian section? I could be wrong — it has been a while since my last visit there — but that was my honest impression. And the mummy room? I could have spent hours in that one space alone. I’ll definitely be back. There are still two more floors waiting for me, and I can’t wait to uncover the rest.

Visited the World Museum Liverpool and absolutely loved it! It’s such a fascinating place with so much to see — from space and nature exhibits to ancient history. The Ancient Mummies section was definitely my favourite; really well presented and full of interesting facts. It’s a perfect spot for families or anyone who enjoys exploring museums — you could easily spend a whole day here. Parking nearby can be a bit tricky, but once you’re inside, it’s totally worth it. A must-visit if you’re in Liverpool!

A lovely experience and completely free (unless you want tickets for a talk). We only visited the Egyptian tier but even so that had plenty to offer with the mummy room and great memories for my grandmother who visited Egypt herself. There is a gift shop and nice cafe area. Also grateful for the seating areas because we sure did underestimate the stairs!

My family and I visited the World Museum for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Intuitive layout of different areas of interest; the aquarium was wonderful and sympathetically created, and the cafe was spacious and inexpensive. Unlike other similar museums we've visited, we are happy that The World Museum is NOT an adventure playground, often appealing only to very young children. This museum has great interest for ALL ages, and we hope it remains this way. We can't wait to visit again soon.

Lovely museum, the sections are small so little ones should not get to bored but if they are wanting more then maybe disappointing to them. Great for free day out. Cafe was really reasonable and the seating area was stunning. Cute little gift stop. Also lockers. Can rent locker for the day £2 but have to pay £5 on the day and then £3 gets refunded to you. Great if your hotel won’t let you check in. Will take backpacks and slim suitcase as have different sizes

This is quite a basic natural history museum. The majority of the exhibitions are free and quite interesting but they are small and simple. The most interesting exhibition is the Egyptian one with real mummies and artifacts that you won't see anywhere. Word of advice, if you hate kids this place will be a nightmare for you. It is packed even during weekdays. Also, this is an issue in every close space in the UK but why does it have to be so damn hot inside on a summer day??

Whether you’re an art lover or simply curious, the Walker Art Gallery is a must-visit. It’s a place where creativity, history, and beauty come together effortlessly.

amazing colllection of arts, sculptures and crafts! absolutely loved the current exhibit they have for contemporary art. the only problem i had during my experience was the labeling of the pieces --- the info about the art was not placed directly in the same section and it was inconvenient to look around for them somewhere else. it disturbed the momentum of going through the rooms that were arranged in chronological order. otherwise, a must visit gallery!

A wonderful gallery, free except for special exhibitions. Some fabulous pieces of art on display and I also visited the Turner special exhibition. That was really well presented and thought provoking. So good that I even indulged in a print on the way out!

Good to visit this important gallery, crammed fl if astounding 19th century art, including the iconic "When Did You Last See Your Father?". I could have taken or left the Biennial however, which was underwhelming. But Liverpool is an amazing and vibrant city, and this gallery is a captivating tribute to its heritage.

Apart from the woke comments on some exhibits, some of which were nonsense. It was an excellent visit. Beautiful pictures, Henry VIII and Elizabeth I were amazing. Pop art exhibition was fun.

Very easy way to spend a few hours. Managed to attend the Turner exhibition which was excellently curated, but the permanent collection is fantastic.

What a Wonderful place. Superb tour guide James who was so knowledgeable and passionate about the Hall. 2 Crown Courts and the Great Hall itself are a WOW with beautiful architecture. Not expensive and the tour was 1.5 hours...went so quickly.

I went to St George's Hall with a few friends last week for a Backyard Cinema of Romeo and Juliet and the venue (and event) were stunning. Would definitely recommend visiting. The hall is beautiful, the staff are so lovely and prices were very reasonable.

The musicians are so talented, they really brought the music to life. It sounded so powerful. The atmosphere also helped with this. Overall, it was a beautiful concert and I really recommend going.

This place is one of the jewels of Liverpool, it houses the old Crown courts where many criminals have been convicted and sentenced, some to death, it also has an amazing Minton floor in the main hall, which is only uncovered on special occasions, it houses a cafe and the registerey office, where marriages can be held in what was the jury room for the crown court, there is also a small theatre at the William Brown street end. It's worth going on the history tours of the building that they hold frequently, it holds a lot of Liverpool history within its walls

Wow been meaning to go here for so long and finally got there today. Our guide was Chris Cannon and he was absolutely brilliant. Obviously a historian, actor and a fantastic storyteller. We were both totally transfixed to his presentation around this fantastic building. Don’t hesitate to go as you won’t be disappointed!!! His assistant Pam was also very informative and knowledgeable. Free entry Entry to the main cathedral is free (though donations encouraged), which makes visiting feel more open to all. Some parts (e.g. the crypt) may require a fee.  Views & photo opportunities The location, the steps, the view from the tower (when open) are often praised.

I was quite shocked in regards to this modern cathedral. I loved it! A circular building with a central alter and chapels around the sides of the structure. And then there's the amazing cript which is also a must see and so different to the cathedral above it

Well worth a visit to see this modernist masterpiece, affectionately nicknamed "Paddy's Wigwam". The stained glass is beautiful and the interior space is very impressive. The crypt of Edwin Lutyens's design can also be visited, which provides an interesting contrast.

Amazing modern space with a strong sense of the sacred. Arrived late in the day so just people gathering for the evening Mass. Lighting and colours were very striking. Convenient car park with life made this very accessible. No shop or cafe due to refurbishment. Toilets were available and nicely kept.

Any visit to the 'pool must include this beautiful building. Inside is so peaceful and serene. Make sure you visit the crypt below, itself an architectural masterpiece. Staff are wonderful. Veronica and the team couldn't have been nicer to me.

I really liked this modern Cathedral. It is an imposing but interesting building. The interior is very welcoming and I like the art displayed inside (see photos). The circular disposition is so unusual for a cathedral but it made me wonder what it must be like, when on some particularly auspicious Sunday the building is full to the roof and the whole church is singing!

Inspirational building, whether you're religious or not. Built with mostly small donations from local people, it's scale and modernity are extraordinary by any standard. Don't miss it.

Really unhappy with the service I received from the Bold Street Subway this evening (20th Feb 23). I don't normally leave bad reviews, as I understand mistakes happen and people have bad days, but I went in to order 2 footlong subs, and the customer service of the man who was serving me was terrible. Initially, they didn't have the bread I was after, which is fine, they had a different one that I was happy with. Then he started making the wrong sandwich, I let him know and he apologised but then started scraping off the wrong items which started to tear the bread apart. I wouldn't have minded if he had picked them off, but he didn't seem to care about the sandwich falling apart which was annoying. He then put them in to toast and I paid for my order. When he took them out of the oven, he started to package them up in panini boxes, I asked him if I could get salad on them before he packed them up and he said that they didn't come with Salad. I replied that I wanted to get salad anyway, as most of it is optional, he said that he had already closed the subs. I then asked him if I'm not allowed to get salad on then and he said yes, I wasn't very happy because the salad is optional and doesn't cost more, so I should have been able to get salad on the subs. He then forced the subs into the panini boxes which left them mangled when I managed to get them out of the box, which took some time because they were trying to fall apart. The lady who was working was very lovely, but she didn't seem to want to get involved in the conversation when I was asking him for salad. I understand that it's not a big deal to not get salad on a sandwich, but I'm unhappy with the way I was spoken to and the complete dismissal of my request for something that should have been available.

I am a bit diappointed with the staff. well, service of staff was alright but they put less chicken on break and then when we request to add more chicken because quantity of chicken look so lesser than other usual subways, so when we add more chicken on it we are unaware about that they gonna charge us more and they didnt mention that they will charge more for extra chicken. They should tell us before adding more chicken.

Shop closes at 11pm or 11 30pm but somehow ended up being closed at 10pm, we asked the guy who kept ignoring us and another thing as a halal business they do not have a certificate showing that they are halal so I would think twice about eating from bold street subway Absolute joke and shit customer service

When we walked in, the lady was very nice and the customer service were very good and the range of product selection was up to standard and we ordered the Halal chicken tikka marinara subway and they were very flavour full

This wasn’t my first time visiting the outlet, and I always enjoy coming back. It’s spacious, well-organized, and has a great variety of shops and restaurants. Getting there is super easy, and I love how everything is laid out. I went on a weekday so it wasn’t too crowded. The only thing is that the restrooms weren’t very easy to find, but they were clean and well-maintained once I did.

This is a very popular shopping area and best to get here early for parking. Despite it having plenty of car parking spaces, we saw drivers struggling to find a space around lunchtime. There are some good discounts to be found in some shops but if you want the brand names this is a place to find them. If you are hungry on your visit, you will find plenty of choices but consult the online directory as they spread around if you are looking for something specific.

One of the best spots in the North West for big-brand shopping, Cheshire Oaks offers a great family day out. With a wide range of stores, there’s something for everyone, and the mix of shopping and dining makes it an enjoyable experience. We love spending the whole day browsing deals, finding favourites, and relaxing over a nice meal together. It’s our go-to destination for both great bargains and quality family time.

Lovely clean place, shops are beautiful too. Make sure you take out a second mortgage if you intend on buying a shed load of gear. Very busy when we went and getting in and out of the place was a nightmare.

First visit on 11.4.25. We chose a great day, weather wise. The park was lovely and a nice walk. Lots of blossom trees. The toilets in the mansion/ The Reader were spotless. The Reader Bookshop was nice too - bought some nice cards and earrings. The Japanese Garden was smaller than I imagined, but it was nice. It wasn't very tranquil at that time though, as it was half term and there were a bunch of teenagers with bikes in there. They were ok and polite though. We had a sit and eat in nice walled garden with benches where there were squirrels, so I was gutted I didn't take some nuts or seeds or something. I know for next time though.

Well worth a visit. We love coming to the park for a picnic and a walk. Great cafes, bookshop, playground, walks in the grounds, duck pond, icecream shop and of course the Neolithic Calderstones. The Mansion has great info about the history of the park too.

Fantastic park with good parking options at various entrances. Great play park for kids, a little cafe and toilet and loads of space to walk the dog. It also has the Allerton Oak, estimated to be 5-600 years old but alive and well and feeding the squirrels around.

A daughter's friend recommended this park with a great café. As it was a rainy day it was relatively quiet...it a great find, the The Reader cafe, book shop & coffee shop makes this park a perfect morning or afternoon trip out. The park has many gardens within it, the Japanese garden, the sensory garden & the old English garden. Play area to entertain the kids & a great place to walk the dogs.

A nice trip over or under the Mersey to Birkenhead even though the bigger clubs seem to get all the press this club has its own big draw for the locals it’s a nice ground also the lady on the phone about buying a shirt was very friendly plus very helpful.

Traditional four sided ground which is always, IMO, a feel of a proper football ground. Easy enough to find but tricky to find nearby parking so at least a 10 min walk for street parking. A couple of pubs nearby. Home fans deathly quiet, didn’t hear much from them. Stewards friendly. First time we’ve played there on a Saturday for many years so an opportunity to revisit a ground I haven’t been to since the 80s.

Watched a friendly there recently. Nice little ground and close to the pitch. Facilities were basic but OK. Decent amount of parking in offical car park, wasn't charged as it was a friendly. I believe you can park round by the terraced houses but some are permit only so mindful of that.

Access to the stadium was quite straightforward, with plenty of parking and free parking close to the ground. The stadium on approach looked quite ragged from the Mendip Road side, but enjoyed looking at the huge badges on the side of the stands. When inside the ground, it was great to see the large stand at the goal end almost empty with Tranmere Rovers in big letters imprinted into the seat, it really looks completely different inside. The facilities were bog standard, and the stewards were helpful. There’s a raffle that they draw at half time too. The food and drink options weren’t great. There was not much to choose from, although the prices were really good for a sports ground. The police atmosphere was significantly increased, as Northampton Town were on the brink of promotion should they have sealed the win against Tranmere. So a bit of rowdiness was anticipated. The atmosphere from the home side was a bit flat first half, but it picked up a little in the second half which left an overall brilliant atmosphere in the stadium.

I'm a Liverpool fan, but my wife and son are Tranmere fans....and thus...so am I by proxy. If you ever get to the premier league - I won't be, but I have to say, after how last season ended, I'm seriously rooting for TRFC. No more relaxation battles please. It's makes home life a bit too tense. 😂😂

Went to watch Liverpool Women here with my daughter. What a lovely ground, great atmosphere. The facilities were OK but the staff is what made it, all of them were very helpful and friendly.

Good stadium, decent size. Friendly stewards, possibly tricky to find your stand if you’re there for the first time. Cheap tickets for WLFC team, good prices for beers and food.

A really nice and interesting museum. It was very quiet on Saturday morning so we could walk around calmly and enjoy everything. After that we bought some nice souvenirs in the gift shop. The lady at the counter was very friendly!

Brilliant place, worth a visit, its full of excellent artefacts, tapestry, paintings, sculptures, thank you for sharing this lovely place. The surrounding area is also worth a visit. The cafe was A1, coffee was so nice and rich, cakes were moist, fresh and we ended up having several cakes. The scones were also fresh and enjoyable. The young brunette lady who served was brilliant and polite and very helpful. Definitely recommend this place.

A lovely art gallery with some interesting and delightful pieces. A bonus was the Jim Muir exhibition! Cafe only takes contactless card and they had no gluten free/vegan cake, so they lost one star because I couldn't have a treat! 😂

Easy to get to, and Port Sunlight village surrounding the gallery is an architectural gem in itself. The wide range of exhibits inside the gallery reflect the 'typical' breadth of interests of Lord Lever's family. Sculptures, paintings, ornaments, and furniture from across the globe and spanning Millennia mean there's always something to view. An added bonus was the Jim Moir exhibition of his bird paintings. The cafe in the basement provided good fare too.

Easy to park, right outside. Give yourself 2-3 hours to wander. Well worth a visit, it is free. The museum of Port Sunlight is opposite too. Everything is labelled, loved it.

We were there on Tuesday and no problem with parking. I went to see Jim Moir's paintings of birds which are fabulous, especially the one of the large ravens head showing the reflection of the Tower of London. The rest of the exhibits in the gallery were amazing from the old masters, furniture and pottery. Stopped in the cafe for coffee and cake half way round the place. It was a good afternoon out, I recommend it, well worth a visit. No tickets needed, they just ask for a £5 donation and worth every penny.

Update - the last few times I have ordered from Captain Tony’s the food has been exceptional. I appreciate you taking my feedback onboard. Thank you. I have increased my star rating to take this into account. I have gone to Captain Tony’s, regularly for years. Their pizza is my favourite by far. Massive problem is their fries. They are very inconsistent in quality. Sometimes they are exceptional, but other times they are awful. I ask now for them to make them crispy, but the last 3 times I’ve ordered them, I’ve had to throw them in the bin. They were disgusting. Sloppy and undercooked. Does your chips chef not try their food before giving it to us paying customers? I hate to do awful reviews, especially when I love their pizza, but the fries are just as important and at over £3 a portion, I’m fed up, even asking hasn’t improved their quality. How can you get it so wrong??

Omg £30 later and I won't be going back!! Even my pizza loving step son said he didn't like it! Too tomatoey not nice didn't finish it .mine had too much bbq sauce in base just yuck.

Captain Tony's have always made the best pizzas in town, and their new vegan pizza did not disappoint! Same old great taste, but without the dairy - totally recommended! 😃

The shop is clean, the young girl on the counter was pleasant, helpful, and served efficiently. The pizza was tasty, but unfortunately the bottom of the pizza was soggy, and the chips were only warm. The plain garlic bread left a lot to be desired. I'll only return here if I can't find somewhere else open.

I visited The Three Stags in Bebington for dinner on a busy Saturday evening and was pleased we managed to find a nice table without too much trouble. We ordered drinks at the bar and then went ahead with our food order. The service was a little on the slow side overall, but the team were friendly and welcoming which made up for it. After a short wait the food arrived and I went for the fish and chips which were tasty and enjoyable. Overall it’s a nice pub serving good pub food and I’d happily pop back again.

Great place, brilliant staff, reasonably priced food and drink. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Definitely recommend 100%. Well done to all. All staff great but big shout out to Lisa and matt. Keep up the great work.

Having visited Port Sunlight for WI event, we tried two other pubs but they weren't serving food. What a find this turned out to be, though! Although they didn't have our first choice of food, the meals we went on to choose were delicious. Great, quick service despite being a Saturday busy lunchtime and the Landlord was most hospitable and spent time to inform us of the area and why we should revist. Thank you from the three WI ladies 👍

I’m not a big pub person really as I don’t drink At all and generally find the food to be unexciting. But I have to say this was very pleasant experience. There was a group of eight of us (we all do volunteer work somewhere together) . The food was very good, excellent choice, decent quality and very affordable. They had Fentimans drinks, which is always good for me, although I would’ve liked the Victorian lemonade variety :-). We were a group and had great support from a key staff member called Sue, who was really excellent. And the younger lads at the bar were also very pleasant. Overall My wife and I would happily return here.

We were served by the lovely Sue who was amazing. We had relatives visiting from the U.S and were a table of 8 but she could not have done more for us. She made sure everyone was kept happy and she made us feel at ease and made us laugh….a lot! The food was fantastic and the great service made it a really pleasant evening. Thank you team!

Very welcoming. Food delicious, as always and piping hot. Cosy atmosphere and as we were cold they kindly put the fire on. Will definitely be back. 10 out of 10
