Llandudno Pier is a stunning Victorian structure that stretches over 700m above sea level, making it one of the longest and most exquisite piers in Wales and the entire United Kingdom. This Grade II listed pier offers a delightful array of seaside attractions, shops, and food stalls, including a charming bar at its end. Visitors can indulge in delicious treats while enjoying captivating views of the Irish Sea.
Llandudno Pier is a quintessential and wonderful seaside destination in beautiful North Wales. The panoramic views from the pier are stunning in every direction. I visited on a typically British day—windy and wet—yet I still thoroughly enjoyed every moment. There's a certain charm in braving the elements here, and it's a testament to the pier's appeal that it remains enjoyable regardless of the weather.
Iftikhar Q — Google review
The pier was unfortunately closed when we visited, and honestly, it looked a bit worse for wear—definitely in need of some TLC. That said, it still has a certain charm, and we ended up getting some really great photos with the moody clouds and seaside backdrop. You can see how iconic it used to be, and hopefully will be again. Even though we couldn’t walk it, the surrounding promenade and views still made it a worthwhile stop.
K E — Google review
Lovely traditional pier. In better condition than many piers and has all the stalls still in place. Tried the lovely prawns and chips in the past all have been great. Used to call it death pier with all benches and dead flowers. Didn't like that too much seemed a little depressing. Its cleaned this up a little removing dead flowers meaning a nicer experience. The end of the pier is great with bar and views to die for.

me and my friend we went with a full bus of so many people which includes our family , family friends and children and some unknown persons as well , bcoz its a charity trip for gaza and that trip help them to provide important stuff. so about the trip i can say it was so wonderful, so enjoyable with so much fun , the weather was perfect , the beach vibe is perfect and off-course the food was perfect. so i can say the overall trip was perfect.❤️🤗

A lovely pier, lots of market type shops and gift shops, and a pile of food shops so you'll never go hungry while taking in amazing views from the pier. There's a few boat trips that can be done. Whether thats a slow cruise around the bay or a speedboat experience. The pier seems to go on forever, a lot to explore
Tom J — Google review
A good old fashioned pier where you can have a leisurely walk. There are small stalls either side along the sides, and a cafe and a bar at the far end. For the kids, there are amusements and rides at the start of the pier.
Andrew D — Google review
Little bit disappointed by the offerings of entertainment on the pier it felt like it could have had more shops and more things to do along the way to the end. Although the bar and cafe at the were well with a trip to. The views from the pier were stunning and I enjoyed sitting outside with a drink watching the ships and windmills. More shops along the peri would be much better.
Y D — Google review
Llandudno Pier is a beautiful Victorian seaside pier, wide and long with plenty to enjoy. The arcades and amusements keep it lively, while gift shops, cafés, and many donut stalls add to the charm. A ferris wheel and speed boat rides give extra excitement. You’ll also see plenty of seagulls surrounding the pier, so be careful as they often try to grab food from visitors. The atmosphere is relaxed with stunning hill views and lots of photo opportunities. Walking along the beach with the breeze feels refreshing, and on clear blue sky days the scenery is even more spectacular.

Went to Llandudno just before the new school year in September. Took daughter and one of her friends, son had just going off to Uni. It is a bit of a hike up the Orme to get there so not one for limited walking capabilities. It is possible to drive up, but be careful as narrow road and limited passing space. There is a fairly large car park once at the place, and a café to Reasonable price, £11.50 for 2 rides (per person). Staff very friendly and gave instructions how to use toboggan, especially for the cornering and when coming to finish. Girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves on it.
Gary R — Google review
Prices for the toboggan and ski throw were reasonable. We paid less than £15 for the toboggan. Two rides per person. However, the waiting time for it was quite long. Waited 1 hour+ for our turn. Also, the toboggan will closed if rain. Better to call them first to confirm before heading there.
Haiqal A — Google review
Went to go on the crazy golf. First of all you now have to pay for parking, only £2, but took £6, so not the best start. The crazy golf, costing over £13 for 2, was a bit hap hazard and just not worth the money and we didn't really enjoy it with the balls veering off all the time to the same place. I know it's a bit of fun, but we weren't having any fun at all.
John H — Google review
Plenty to do here. There is the dry ski slope, tobogganing, snow tubing and mini golf. We had a go in the tobogganing which was £12 for two runs down the track. This was such a good experience and would definitely do it again. There are also extremely good views to be seen from a small walk to the top of the hill.
Josh — Google review
we came on 6 Oct which is a cloudy day but end up we don't need to queue up too much for the ride. we played tobanngo and tube and we enjoyed it. remember if you play both, you can enjoy bundle price. my daughter love the tobanngo. the staff called Lori is very nice.
Sam F — Google review
It was a lovely time spent! I went with my best mate and It was £12.50 per person for tobogganing! You get 2 rides and it was super fun! The views were lovely! Chris at reception was really kind and funny. We were worried about waiting for ages but we only waited for 10-15 mins so it wasn’t Long! Harry ensured all our stuff was looked after and talked us through safety and expectations! Chris on the top (of the hill) guided us through and engaged us with a nice conversation! Overall, lovely staff and lovely experience! Will pop by again when visiting Llandudno x
Momina — Google review
Expensive and not very scary either. Small place not much to do. Prices added up at reception. Mini roller coaster is good though, apart from having to wait 45mins each time for the two rides U get.

North Shore Beach

Beach
North Shore Beach, located in Llandudno Bay, is a picturesque two-mile stretch of sandy coastline nestled between the impressive limestone headlands of the Great Orme and the Little Orme. This beach has been recognized with the Seaside Award for its exceptional cleanliness and management. It is a favorite destination for families, offering ample space for building sandcastles and engaging in various beach activities such as windsurfing and parasailing.
Had a very pleasant walk on the beach. Much of it is strewn with rocks and covered with pebbles of all kinds and colours, but there's a stretch of soft clean sand close to the pier that is a great place for younger children to play and build sandcastles. You only have to go down a few steps from the prom to the sands at this point, and there's also a slipway suitable for wheelchairs and prams. I was here on the last day of March, when there was not much to do but take a leisurely stroll, but boat trips run from the wooden jetty from Easter to October, and there are donkey rides and Punch and Judy shows throughout the summer months. The views of the Great and Little Orme, with Llandudno's Victorian promenade in between, are wonderful at any time of the year! There's also a children's funfair with a ferris wheel and small rides. You can get an ice-cream or fish and chips here, but watch out for the seagulls: a lady on my coach trip had a cornet snatched out of her hand as she was walking along the seafront.
Valerie H — Google review
A nice well kept pebble beach. I didn’t notice any rubbish on the beach walking one end to the other. Their is two wooden piers that you can walk down when the tide is out but be careful as they can be slippy (due to being under water when the tide is high)
Cale M — Google review
Very clean beach , and the seawater is transparent you can see the sea bed. Good nearby shops for entertainment, food n drinks not forgetting wonderful picturesque views.

Great, clear beach with a perfect view. A wonderful place to sit, relax, and enjoy the breeze. The water is shallow near the shore, so everyone can enjoy it safely. Just be aware of the many seagulls, as they will snatch food if you’re walking around with it. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and hotels are nearby, making it easy to enjoy your visit and even stay overnight.

Llandudno Promenade is a picturesque stretch of Victorian-era architecture along the Irish Sea, offering stunning panoramic views. For those seeking adventure, the nearby Great Orme Country Park features an extensive network of trails through limestone cliffs, heathland, and ancient woodland. The promenade itself spans almost two miles from Llandudno Pier to Craigside, with charming hotels and traditional attractions like Punch and Judy shows during the summer months.
Llandudno is a beautiful hidden gem in North Wales. It boasts a stunning, spacious seafront promenade and a charming pier—perfect for a peaceful stroll. The town is well maintained and has a lovely, welcoming vibe. For the best experience, try booking a sea-facing B&B. Not only will you enjoy breathtaking views, but it’s also a cost-effective option. A must-visit destination if you’re in the area!
Sudeep B — Google review
This promenade is wide and well leveled and beautifully maintained, with a beach on one side and a continual row of benches on the other. There is tons of space for people who walk, bike, and roll. Incredibly accessible, with entrance ramps available.
Alyssa B — Google review
Iconic Victorian Promenade This is a great place to stroll in summer specially if you have a family & a dog. You just walk around all the way to the pier and spend an delightful afternoon. It is however quite packed in summer, in fact probably one of the hardest place to park in the UK.
Paul V — Google review
A stunning Victorian seaside walkway stretching along the bay. The wide path is perfect for a relaxing stroll with views of the sea on one side and grand hotels on the other. The beach is lined with beautiful pebbles, adding to its unique charm. The pier at the end of the promenade is lively with attractions, while seagulls can be seen all around, often swooping down near food. The atmosphere is calm yet vibrant, making it a great place to enjoy the fresh sea breeze and admire the classic seaside beauty of Llandudno.
Dhibin S — Google review
This is an incredible place, very nicely done and with lots of benches for people to sit and admire the bay. We went in the afternoon and enjoyed the sun and the breeze sitting here and admiring the beauty around us. This promenade is more than a mile long and it was a pleasure walking through it. The market area nearby has lot of shopping and eating joints too. Would highly recommend for people traveling in this part of Wales to visit and enjoy!

Beautiful place to visit. Clean and tidy. Stunning scenic views, pebble beach, bandstand, busy pier at one end out door pool at the other.
Emma F — Google review
We enjoyed Llandudno a lot more than we expected. The Pier, the Promenade, the seaviews. It's a pretty place to be. The Promenade stretches along the beach from the Pier to the Paddling pool in the east. Almost 1.5 miles in length. Most visitors flock around the Pier area. The further east you walk, the less people you will see. And it's a real nice thing to do, walking the Promenade. Even busy, the Pier is a good starting point. Grab some snacks, some ice cream and get on your way. There's countless benches along the Promenade - all with seaviews :) So it's a perfect spot to enjoy some snacks or a small picnic. The Promenade is very wide, so it doesn't feel crowded. Bikes, dog walkers...there's space for everybody. There is a carpark near the pier, but always full. Some spots along the Promenade, but they're hard to find. We parked just a block away from the Promenade at the Venue Cymru carpark and were really happy with it. Plenty of empty spots.
Alex H — Google review
Lovely front very clean, stop feeding the seagulls fgs, maybe time to cull a few as they are getting annoying, taking stuff from kids hands, mind you why have a picnic on the front your asking for trouble, and also the parking is a joke, all it needs is bays marking out would solve a lot of issues, very multicultural very busy too but much nicer than Blackpool

Located in the picturesque town of Llandudno, Conwy Country Borough, Venue Cymru is a versatile modern venue that hosts a wide array of events. Originally known as the Aberconwy Centre & North Wales Theatre & Conference Centre, it serves as a conference center, arena, and theater. The facility boasts impressive seating capacities for various seating styles and hosts renowned entertainment acts including the Welsh National Opera, film premieres, stand-up comedy shows, and more.
I love coming to this theatre. It’s small enough that you get a good view of the stage from anywhere in the theatre. The shows are amazing with lots of big musicals showing, good value for money. Go early as parking is limited and gets full guickly , you can park on the street with a pay and display ticket
Amanda S — Google review
Had a lovely experience taking my little one to see ‘In The Night Garden’ a couple of weeks ago. The venue itself was clean and tidy, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and there was plenty of parking. Would highly recommend!
Kayleigh J — Google review
I have telephoned on 3 ocassions over recent months to book tickets for various shows (Daniel O'Donnell, Mama Mia, Cinderella). Each time I have spoken to a very helpfull, efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant member of staff. So far I have only attended one show however the organisation within the theatre has been excellent. I have always booked early enabling me to book great seats. The seats are both comfortable and leg room is plentifull. I like in Cheshire however like this theatre for all the above reasons and the ease of parking. It would be much nearer for me to travel to Manchester or Liverpool to the theatres however I appreciate what Venue Cymru offers me and the shows that perform and appear there. Thanks for your outstanding level of customer service and the enjoyable experience.
Anne D — Google review
We had a great evening at this venue, however it is not clear to people attending for the 1st time that there are two venues within the one building. We got a drink in the bar, queued to get in to the hall and where then informed we were in the wrong place. My mobility isnt great, so we did our best to hurry out of the door, along the street and back inside. We had got there early, knowing it was a standing gig, so that I could lean on the barrier to help my balance. Since we were in the wrong place, that wasnt possible. Apart from the poor signage on tickets and on the entrance, the venue was excellent. Drinks prices were sensible. Facilities good and clean. Excellent gig, although I had to leave before the end, due to the lack of seating in the large arena.

We went to see the abba tribute band last Saturday 25th October. A great night out great atmosphere but security staff far too severe. There was no need when the rest of the theatre was up a dancing to be told not to . I'm 76 hardly going to cause a riot very disappointed. The previous night billy Joel was fantastic couldn't fault it in any way .

Great pre-performance meal overlooking the sea. Lovely staff, good wine list. Superb interpretation of Tosca by WNO: the two main characters sang fantastically. The orchestra was very good (the odd split note but we're all human). Overall, it was a fabulous experience, thank you.

Excellent venue for Justin Hayward 2025 tour. Fabulous selection of Moody Blues music. Mike Dawes is amazing! Played solo as warm up act and then throughout Justin's set as part of backing group, delivering rhythm guitar, percussion guitar, lead guitar and bass guitar. Excellent night.

Parc Llandudno Retail Park is a bustling shopping complex in Llandudno, North Wales, offering a wide range of shopping facilities. It features popular stores like M&S and Primark, which are said to be better than those found in many big cities. The park provides excellent parking options with two hours of free parking and additional paid parking thereafter.
The shopping centre have few good shop M&S, Boots, Range, TKmax, Next, Regatta, New Look, Primark and Costa. All on one level which is good for disabled access The car park is massive but very busy. First 2 hours stay is free then you can buy ticket from machine. Also beach is not far from this car park.

The Llandudno shopping parking area was huge and easily available. I loved the place! At the time, there was free parking for about 1.5 to 2 hours—not sure if that’s still the case now.
Geomon G — Google review
Terrible car park charging system. Put your car registration number into the pay station. The display shows £2.00 The machine does NOT calculate how much you should pay, even though your registration number is scanned on the way in and way out. You have to calculate yourself how much to pay according to your arrival as departure time, subtract the free parking time, and the make a payment for the correct amount otherwise you risk a fine. The instructions on the pay machine are unclear and incomplete. What a shambles! Shops are good. Location is great. Just make sure you pay the correct amount for parking.

Victoria Shopping Centre is a charming arcade located in the heart of Llandudno, offering a mix of well-known and independent retailers, as well as dining options. The center features a multi-story car park, making it convenient for visitors to access. The Grape Tree stands out as a popular retailer within the bustling complex, offering an array of dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. Additionally, amenities such as clean restrooms and easy parking add to the overall pleasant experience for shoppers.
A great little shopping centre in the middle of Llandudno. This place has a fantastic old style sweetshop plus a Boots, perfume store and a shop that sells garden figures to name but a few. It’s great to head out of the wet weather and enjoy a coffee in one of the cafes. Go check it out. Note on this occasion there was a knitting display (large tank and army figures) for D day. Amazing.

Had a walk through this compact indoor shopping centre while on a day trip to Llandudno. It's a clean and attractive space with an eye-catching wooden and glass ceiling and quaint lanterns. Easy to access from the main shopping street, and all on one level. There's an excellent variety of shops, ranging from high street names such as Boots Chemist, Body Shop, Pavers Shoes, Roman and Grape Tree, to small local retailers selling clothes, jewellery, toys, gifts, bedding and lots more, as well as a café and takeaways. It was a refreshing change not to see any empty units or closing down sales. Enjoyed browsing around Waterstones; they have a great selection of books and an upstairs café. The Tourist Information Office is also in the shopping centre, something I found very useful, and there's a photo booth right next to it. There's seating, and a lift up to free toilets and a multi-storey car park. Did not buy anything on this all too brief visit, but I liked what I saw and will come here again when I return to Llandudno.

Walked in as it looked like it had more boutique shops & it turned out to be so. Visitors Centre gift shop is here & The Longest Yarn to commemorate the 100th anniversary of end of WW1 is on display here too. The mammoth knit/crochet effort is a great tribute & definitely worth viewing. Shopping centre has the provincial feel & charm.

A lovely, well-kept, small rustic shopping centre on Llandudno high street. Hosts a good range of shops and has ample seating for older age groups. Also has two cafes, which makes it a nice place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Has an adjoining car park.

The only thing I would change due to it being costly but average price for this area is do fresh not frozen chips but this is merely my own prefence.

My husband and I with our Shiba went to Forte's for dinner tonight. I was glad to know that dogs are allowed inside the eatery. On the previous night, we struggled to find somewhere to eat where my Shiba was allowed inside. We did end up dining al fresco. I believe that the waitress serving us is called Sharon. She was so caring for my dog as it have been a hot day. She bought him a bowl of water and was fussing over him. My husband likes his hamburger and I thoroughly enjoyed the pork steak with apple cream and cider sauce. Good portion served We were pleased to find Forte's

We came to Fortes in Llandudno as we fancied an ice cream after a day out and it was fantastic! Inside looked lovely but we chose to eat outside which they said they didn’t usually do with the glass ice cream bowls but said okay as it was a nice day, we did take everything back in after we were done and they said thanks! They were all so polite! The drinks and ice cream were fantastic! I had the mocha or cappuccino (something coffee based) ice cream which was one of the nicest I’d ever had, mom had banana and my dad had chocolate and all were lovely! Would definitely come again! The ice cream is well worth it and the staff are so nice!

Second time I've been to Fortes, second time disappointed by the poor quality of food. My food came and it looked awful and tasted worse. I ate the salad a d left the rest. I will not make a third mistake, so won't be coming back!!!! Actually it is only fair for me to mention that when I went to pay the lady offered to refund the price of my meal which I appreciate. Food not so good, but customer care was good.

A very underwhelming visit! Service was great, loads of staff, possibly too many but still, all were happy and helpful and very engaging yet not in your face! Restaurant/cafe itself is well decorated and presented, clean and tidy and actually looks quite good, as we entered I had higher expectations given the staff welcome and look of the place. The food was actually quite basic and didn't seem to fit the venue if that makes sense. 3 meals ordered, a kids cheese sandwhich, a prawn sandwhich and a bacon cheeseburger. The sandwiches were very basic, just regular sliced bread bit plenty of filing, the kids meal coming as just a sarnie and crisps....so not really a meal I guess. The burger was nice but seemed a bit dry but only just. We had chunky chips with the burger....not a good idea. As they were chunky, they were not cooked through and were marginally undercooked. You could tell the food was frozen too! We ordered 3 drinks, 1 earl grey and 2 milkshakes, given the presentation of the site we thought maybe a shake would have been something quite thick with cream and sauce etc but no....it was just milk and flavour....akin to a nesquick. Overall, underwhelming but not a bad place. If there was improvement in food I'd definately visit again!

What a lovely place! Servers were so attentive and friendly they simply couldn’t do enough for you. We had the fish and chips and the chicken burger and they were so delightful - really didn’t want the meal to end. Already looking forward to our next visit :)

The service is amazing! The staff is extremely friendly, and the vibe, live music, and beachside view are unparalleled. However, I wish there were more menu options beyond the few classic British dishes they offer—such as fish and chips, Sunday roasts, and burgers. Although they do have a brunch menu, it is not available in the evening.

This is a lovely place to eat, recently refurbished, with an outside seating area on two levels, looking towards the sea and promanade. I didn't see any wheelchair access. The food is delicious. I went with a group of 5 friends and family If you visit Llandudno, we all said that we would recommend it. We would certainly call in next time we are in Llandudno.

Llandudno Esplanade Hotel on the prom opposite Llandudno Pier. Huge refurb on the hotel. How did we not know about this fabulous restaurant. Absolutely 10/10👜 handbag restaurant review. Compliments to the chef Jason Hughes featured on Great British Menu. WOW to the menu and all the delicious flavours. We tried the festive lunch menu (only £2 extra for the three course so why not 🥳) Festive dinner menu looked good too 👏. Love the presentation. Love the atmosphere. Love the decor in here. Everywhere is immaculate even the kitchen 5 hygiene rating 👏. Uniformed well trained staff. Front of house Gareth what a welcome and very informative. We also heard how you greeted others and treated everyone the same. Wish all maitre d hosted as good as you. Highly recommend you try here. We parked in the shopping centre multi story car park. Some parking available on the prom.

Our favourite restaurant in Llandudno! Service is amazing, extremely friendly staff who are very helpful and knowledgeable in regards to the restaurant and food. The food is amazing here, and presentation is excellent, every-time we have been it gets better. The restaurant itself has great vibes and is very welcoming.

My family had a great time here. The staff is friendly, the environment is awesome, and the food is delicious. My hubby ordered a beer and I grabbed a Margarita. We have had a chill time to enjoy the drinks in such a nice setting. My 5-year old girl enjoyed her kids meal very much, too!

Fish & chips restaurant
Pebble Restaurant is a cozy eatery located at the back of a fish and chip counter. The menu offers a variety of dishes besides the classic fish and chips, ensuring there's something for everyone. The service is commendable, and the food quality is top-notch. Customers appreciate the reasonable prices and overall satisfaction with their dining experience. While some found the service lacking in friendliness, others praised the delicious food and accommodating staff.
Really enjoyed our fish and chips here. The mushy peas are the best I've ever tasted. Prices are very reasonable for a sit down meal with high quality food. They have a very good offering of desserts but we were too full to try them. I will definitely go back here if I'm visiting Llandudno

Stopped in for lunch whilst on holiday as a family of 6. Really fast and friendly service. Great selection of food, and the staff were also very accommodating. We ordered cod and chips, cod special, chicken burger and chips, sausage and chips, 2 deserts and drinks. In total we paid £80 which is a good price. The fish was cooked perfectly - no bones and wasn't oily at all.

Very friendly and help, to grab a mid afternoon fish and chips for my son. A small portion of fish and chips for £7.95, freshly cooked. My son enjoyed it but the chips could have been a bit more crispy. Would visit again though.

Fabulous fish & chips to eat in or take away. We ate outside sitting at one of their tables. So many locals use this restaurant it speaks to the popularity and quality of the food. This means there is a wait for service. Why don't they canvass new arrivals to the counter as to which fish are required. This would speed up service. Delicious supper eaten outside on a sunny evening. I recommend this place.

Nice traditional fish and chips, we had a mini cod and chips and a standard haddock and chips with mushy peas and traditional fruity curry sauce which really made the meal, best curry sauce I've had in north wales fruity with a slight spicy kick, also very good mushy peas, fish and chips nicely cooked. Well worth a visit.

Visited yesterday early evening and the floor was full of food and embedded in the carpet. Dirty pots piled high on most tables. We sat down and one of the staff members came over and asked if she could take our order. We said we are not ordering anything until these tables we are sat at are cleaned and all the previous customers pots are removed. She gave us the dirtiest look and walked off. She then walked past several times more and another customer on the next tables said ‘they won’t clear the table they will just leave it there in front of you. So after another ten minutes of waiting we decided to leave. I did ask two staff members if this was normal and acceptable including the women who gave us the dirty look for simply asking for the tables to be cleaned before we ordered. They just looked at us and said sorry…. Sorry and that was it nothing else. This place is disgusting and the staff clearly have not had correct training in customer service and basic hygiene. They also looked like they couldn’t be bothered and didn’t want to be working there.
Paul E — Google review
Lovely bright dining area. Good choice of food including gluten free. Tables not cleaned after clearing. Person bringing cups just plonks them down and leaves. She should at least set them out. We paid over £30.00 and had to ask for ketchup and table to be cleaned. Wasn't very busy. Men's Toilets smelly and we had to pass them to get to ladies. At checkout manager asked if everything was ok , that's a bit late to ask. Need to do a check back early on and quit chatting at the till.

Seafood restaurant
The Seahorse Restaurant is a charming bistro located in Llandudno, offering market-fresh local seafood and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant takes pride in serving dishes made with locally sourced Great Orme Lobsters, Conwy and Menai Mussels, and fresh fish caught by the chef himself.
Great Service & Amazing Food We recently revisited The Seahorse on a stay in Llandudno and it was just as good as we remembered from our previous visit (despite undergoing a change of owner) The Set Menu offers a limited but good range of Dishes from 1-3 Courses at a very reasonable price. The Service, Music and Atmosphere are all exceptional and this cosy restaurant is perfect for couples and small groups. We definitely recommend this restaurant and a booking is usually advisable. We will most definitely be returning when we are next in the area.

My partner & I had the pleasure of dining at this charming, family-run seafood restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff, clearly a close-knit family, were incredibly friendly and attentive, which added such a personal touch to the experience. As for the food – it was simply delicious! The Cod was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavour. The seafood linguine was very tasty. The portions were generous, and you could really tell that everything was made with care and attention to detail. We had the Mussels to share & we couldn’t believe the amount we got! The cozy vibe and amazing food made for a memorable dining experience, and we will definitely be back, Highly recommend for anyone looking for great seafood

Had a lovely meal here in this small, cosy restaurant. The haddock chowder for starters was divine, so so tasty. The cod main with slightly spiced vegetables was also very good although a little under seasoned. If you’re into fish this is the place to come.

We had a very enjoyable experience at the Seahorse restaurant. Interesting menu of seafood options that were deliciously prepared. The smoked haddock bisque was excellent Service was a little slow at times but overall good. Would definitely visit again. Reservations necessary.

This restaurant is a lovely place if you like fish. But there are also options other than fish, such as lamb. We ordered various different starters and main courses. All were very tasty. If you take a starter and a main course, it will be enough for someone with an average appetite. The staff were friendly and the prices were right, considering the freshness and good taste. The only negative was the gratin dauphinois, which didn't look or taste very good.
The B — Google review
Welcoming staff, tasty well cooked food and reasonably priced. The setting is comfortable and atmosphere welcoming. The only critisim would be the lamb rump was a little tough and fatty, but still tasty. I didn't mention anything at the time as it was still okay. Overall it was a good restaurant which can be recommended.
Darren D — Google review
A seafood focused restaurant near the pier in Llandudno. Set over 2 floors in a lovely Victorian building with the bottom floor set as in an intimate bistro and the top floor set as a more traditional restaurant (with an overuse of blue lighting). The menu looks appetising and fresh. The dishes were generally tasty though my partner found her fish a little overcooked. Presentation wise, the food is a little dated and staff are nice though a little inexperienced (looked a little nervous in fact). It's perfectly nice but given this is supposed to be the best seafood in town we were left a little disappointed. It is good value and has a limited but interesting wine list.

Visitor Centers
Y Gogarth Great Orme Country Park is a serene coastal park with vast open fields, diverse wildlife, and stunning panoramic views. The Marine Drive offers a picturesque four-mile route around the base of the Great Orme headland, providing travelers with captivating scenery and ample parking opportunities. This massive limestone rock formation is not only an impressive natural landmark but also a protected area for rare habitats and species. Families can enjoy various kid-friendly activities while exploring the designated conservation areas.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Y Gogarth – the Great Orme Country Park – is absolutely worth the visit. The views are breathtaking in every direction, whether you're looking out to sea, spotting a ship in the distance, or just admiring the rugged landscape dotted with sheep. There’s a nice mix of things to do: the cable cars and the historic tram add a unique charm, and there’s even a bit of fun with crazy golf. If you're driving, be aware that the roads are steep – great if your car can handle hills, but it’s not the place to test a tired clutch. There’s parking available at the top, which is really convenient if you want to explore without too much of a hike. Overall, it’s a brilliant spot for scenery, wildlife, and a bit of classic Welsh adventure.

"Wales, you have my heart! We had an incredible time exploring your beautiful landscapes and meeting the warm locals. The charm of your local shops and cafes was like stepping back in time. I loved seeing everyone gathered in pubs, enjoying each other's company over a cuppa or pint. The laid-back atmosphere was infectious, and even Starbucks seemed quiet compared to the buzz in the pubs. Wales, I'll be back!"

Good walk up to summit pass by lots of sheep ! But, also see the dry ski slope, also the mine and lots of views along the way. Cafe at top selling hot & cold food and small gift shop. Toilets. Transport includes tram and cable car as well as public buses. Also car park, if prefer to drive.

As always, another visit to the Orme, another fantastic day. Accessible by foot, car, cable car, bus system and road tram, there are multiple options to get to the summit. This time we chose cable car (£15 per adult, £12.50 per child and £2 if you fancy taking the dog! - 2 adults and 2 children family return ticket is £43). The views are breathtaking and we'll worth the ride to see the Orme from a completely different perspective. Visitors centre at the summit is very informative, then there's the surroundings... The quarry, the bronze mines, St. Tudno's church, the open fields and walkways, the wildlife. Absolutely fantastic example of what Wales has to offer. Great family day out, and with the whole of Llandudno underneath you, what more could you want?

Went to the bronze age copper mine. A great visit with a fantastic welcome. Lots of information via film and boards. Had a chat to the local archaeologist on site. £10 a person with a discount for using the tram.(Must show ticket as proof). A bit tight to walk through the caves , well lit. Not suitable for wheelchairs or people who need sticks to walk. Quite damp floors in places due to water seepage through the ground. Some deep spots your walking over.

I had a lovely walk to the summit, going via the Happy Valley Park. Wonderful views from the top. I returned by the back of the old quarry. Went slightly off track but it found me the goats. Then back on the correct path brought me to the lovely Haulfre Gardens. A. really lovely walk.

Amazing views and a must see place in north wales. Toddler Tip: Don’t get too adventurous if you have push chairs, we had 2 so decided to hike down the fields till a distance from where we can hike up the push chairs. Try to encourage toddlers to walk (if they have started walking already), our younger one loved running down the fields and went very close to the sheeps. Bonus: place has one of most amazing mini golf with 18 holes.

Great Orme is a stunning limestone headland in Llandudno, offering picturesque vistas of the sea and Wales, including the Isle of Man and Snowdonia National Park. It's a 350-million-year-old country park with miles of paths to explore, an ancient mine, and wild nature with Kashmir goats. Visitors can reach the top via cable car or tramway and enjoy the Old Mines. The area also features a ski and snowboard center for winter sports enthusiasts.
This is a great place to go and spend 2 - 3 hours just roaming around and admiring the natural beauty of the place. We were in Wales on a driving trip and drove up to the summit in our own car. It's an easy drive up and back and there is plenty of parking space available at the summit. You can walk around the place and get a great 270 degree view of the bay. Also, you can see a very large windmills farm in the sea!

Stunning location with amazing views in all directions. Well worth the bike to the top (3/4 to the top really) but, if you get the choice, take the tram. Much easier on the legs and lungs. Would highly recommend this as part of your essential North Wales experience.

I went here three times in 2 days 😄 I went up walking early in the morning, drove with a car, and via Orme tramway. They offered different experience and has its own charm but I enjoyed them all! The day I went there at afternoon was extremely windy so better prepared with a windbreaker. Overall, the scenery from the top of Orme was wonderful. From the top you can explore different spots or even only sitting enjoying the day.

The mine tours are quite pricy but well worth it as it's self guided so you can make your way around at your own pace. There's a tram up to the mine from the town so it's wise to park in the town and take the tram up the hill if you don't mind paying. There are great views at the top of the hill and nice areas to eat or walk at the top. I've been twice and would go again if I was in the area.

Summit Cable Car Station

4.3
(1867)
The Summit Cable Car Station, located at the top of the Great Orme in North Wales, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Llandudno. Operating from April to October, this long-standing cable car system provides visitors with a scenic ride down to the town, covering a distance of over 1.6 kilometers and offering stunning views as it approaches the iconic Llandudno Pier.
My grandson (14) and I had a great day. Did a return trip on the cable cars and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Been a long time since I went on the cable cars!
Kaz B — Google review
Note: They only accept cash for tickets We took a ride on the cable car from the bottom to the Summit. It was very busy and they were only letting 2 adults on each cable car. There was a sign saying this was due to high winds/crosswinds. At the bottom it also said the last return trip was at 2pm, but whilst in the long queue to come back we heard that it would probably be open until 5:30pm. Be prepared to queue for a long time, there are no indicators of how long you may be waiting. The cable cars are quite smooth and views of the surrounding area are good. Note the videos I have included are time lapsed just to show a bit more of the journey. It is possible to walk back or catch the tram back to do some of the journey to the bottom. There was also a sightseeing bus in the car park at the summit. It was a bit hazy on the day we visited but you could still make out Anglesey from the Summit. At the Summit there is a gift shop, cafe and bar. We parked at the Ski centre ( £2 for 6hours ) and walked down the fairly steep hill to the cable car station.

The Llandudno Cable Car, located in the seaside town of Llandudno, North Wales, is a popular attraction that transports visitors from Happy Valley Gardens up to the summit of the Great Orme headland. Opened in 1969, it's billed as the longest passenger cable car system in Britain, spanning about a mile and offering a roughly 18-minute round-trip ride. It's a seasonal operation, typically running from March to October, weather permitting, and costs around £15 per adult for a return ticket (family options available). You can get a stunning views including 360-degree sights of Llandudno Bay, Snowdonia, Conway, and the surrounding coastline.
R A — Google review
It’s 2025 and time this business realised that and started showing potential customers some respect. Would it really be such a huge problem to have their own Facebook page that gave up to date accurate information on whether the cable cars were open or the time they were planning on opening (each day), rather than the old “if you see them moving they are open”. It would literally take about thirty seconds to post this information on Facebook and it would be so helpful…
David K — Google review
Very Very Good Ride. We have been trying to get on this for 3 years now and we finally got on it. Well Worth the wait. It was quite windy on the car itself. And it is 2 Per Car and cash only which is a bit of a pain but its overall, Worth it.
Charlie W — Google review
Almost great experience. Queueing up was the least favourite part of the cable car ride. We came during the bank holiday, therefore we felt like every single tourist decided to visit this place. Views picturesque
It.Is. P — Google review
Lovely cable car ride! Would definitely recommend. Return tickets for adults are £15 (£14.5 for single adult). Cash only!! Queue was relatively long by 11am at the base station, and the queue was over 30mins at the summit for the return journey around 2pm as they had advertised as the last return. However, it seems they prolonged their opening hours until at least 3/4pm, but wouldn't risk it. They only let 2 people onto the cable car due to strong winds, so that might happen to you too!

The Great Orme Summit Pay & Display Car Park is conveniently located near the main entrance, accessible via St Marys Road off Lloyd St. Visitors can park for free with a Penderyn Distillery ticket and explore the beautiful coastal resort of Llandudno. The thrilling drive up to the summit offers breathtaking views and access to the cable cars. It's advisable to plan your visit carefully as the last cable car departs at 3pm.
Very handy parking place to start travels around the summit and go further down the nice small road around the summit. You can walk and hike there aswell. We walked down to the cemetery then caffee and lighthouse. Very nice views and some seals aswell

There’s plenty of parking, and the views from the top are absolutely stunning—you can see the coastline for miles on a clear day. The summit area is well-equipped with gift shops, a café/restaurant, picnic benches, and plenty of space for a good walk. It’s also a great place to watch the cable cars and Great Orme Tramway in action, which adds to the charm of the experience. However, be aware that the parking charges are fixed: it’s £5.50 for up to 4 hours or £7.50 for the whole day, even if you’re only stopping for a short visit. There’s no option for a quick 30-minute stop, so it’s wise to plan ahead before driving up. If you’re just after a short visit or photo opportunity, this may not be the most cost-effective choice. Alternative option, as you drive along Marine Drive, there are a couple of FREE parking and picnic areas with coastal views, but the car park much smaller not many spaces, around 10-15 spaces. If you find a spot, they are ideal for a a quick stop or picnic and there’s no charge.

We parked this paid car parking to hop on the tram. My parents, who were visiting Wales for the first time, were impressed by the magnificent and beautiful scenery of Wales. Near the car parking, there is access to the cable car and tram station, a cafe, and a small picnic area. Highly recommend it!!

A Carpark with stunning view of The Great Orme. It has loads of parking space. Can be a bit windy.

Parking is now very expensive at a minimum of £5.50 for four hours, which is far longer than most people will want to stay, but there's nowhere else to park unless you're happy to walk up from the bottom (which is what I usually do). You can however park for free if you've paid the Marine Drive toll, which also costs £5.50, so you can either pay the toll and park for free or drive up Tŷ Gwyn Road for free and pay the parking fee. Either way it will cost you £5.50 (as at 2025). Alternatively if you go beween 6pm - 8am you can park for free but all of the attractions will be closed, although the views make it still worthwhile. It's a decent sized car park with 141 spaces so at least you shouldn't have a problem finding a space.

Lovely place car park was expensive especially out of season only a small pop up cafe open and 1 disabled toilet open for the many

Plenty of spaces and amazing views. Free ticket from the toll road price. Very windy on the day we went up but that was not a bad thing. Very tight roads going up and down but that is just park of it. No problem it you can drive properly.

Great Orme Mines, discovered in 1987, are the world's largest prehistoric copper mines dating back to the Bronze Age, around 4,000 years ago. The site offers a unique insight into ancient Britain and its advanced society long before Roman invasion. With over 5 miles of tunnels to explore using only primitive tools like stones and bones, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of this historical era. The mine features a visitor center and self-guided tunnel tours for an immersive experience.
Great place to visit near halfway station on great omre tramway. Excellent informative friendly staff. Go around visitor centre pick read history about mine and pick up your hard hat. Then venture into bronze age mine entrance go down 35 steps. Throughout tour a number of boards with information about the mine and working conditions. Really unique tour well worth visiting. Able to walk around outdoor area of mine. Gift shop has lots of unique rocks etc.

A fantastic experience. The mines are awesome, so much history! Prehistory really! Bronze age people living in Britain centuries before the Romans. And the whole thing is being run by lovely people. Highly recommended.

We visited with our 7 year old son and we all enjoyed it. The staff are fantastic, knowledgeable, and super enthusiastic. The mines have been made accessible for walking but be ready to crouch at a handful of points! Such an important discovery that made my jaw drop open upon reaching the largest part of the mine. Truly incredible to walk in the footsteps of humans from 4,000 years ago! My son was given a fun questionnaire to complete along the walk. At the end he recieved a little gift for completing it. I really loved this and so did he! There are videos on repeat at certain points and they are very clear and easy to understand. You can see how much care has been put into this. The gift shop and 2nd hand book shop is also excellent. There is a mixture of cheaper and more expensive gifts. The drive up and down is rather steep and narrow at points but no problem if you're used to driving on hills. We arrived early and the car park was easy to use. There is also a tram and cable car going up the hill / mountain so they are great options too.

This place is a great attraction, the whole experience was very enjoyable. We visited on a Sunday mid September and it wasn’t overly busy. The staff were really nice, friendly and talkative. The layout from the car park, shop/entrance to the mines is well laid out. When you go into the attraction you get a hard hat and can take your time going through the experience, roughly 40 minutes to an hour but there is no rush. There is lots of history and information about the history of the mines and people that worked there and it that was fascinating to read, there is a short video presentation you can choose to watch which gave more insight into the history. You get to walk round the open quarry site and venture into the mines. It’s a self guided tour/walk and as others have stated and I’ll confirm it is narrow with low ceilings in places, this adds to the experience in a good way (unless you’re claustrophobic). There is lighting in the mine which highlights the natural features, but I would advise a good torch to see into the dark areas not lit, not necessary but again this added to our experience in a good way.

Thought I mightn't be allowed in as t, shorts, sandals but self guided tour so nice to go at your own pace. Quite busy but space to pass families (great kids shouting echo!) a concrete floors, metal steps and railings whilst looking around. Activity sheet for kids, drinks van, shop, lovely interesting few hours. All CCTV, lights also panic buttons, is narrow but I wore my rucksack no issues, mums with babies in there too. Have fun! I bought tickets as walking past
Ilona R — Google review
Really good fun for me and my youngest son! Was bricking it a bit going into the tunnel but it was way worth it glad I persevered and kept going! Not that I could have turned back! Great for the kids and adults! Good fun! 👍 Will say it didn't take long to go around! But the weather was shocking. Didn't book in advance but I don't see why I wouldn't in future despite the shocking weather it was busy!

Great place for bronze age history experience. Narrow road to good car park. Excellent explanation on walls before decending into caves. Toilets fine and picnic tables available.

Lived near here most of my life and never been. We had friends over so decided to give it a try and was impressed. It's not massive but very interesting. You do go down some narrow passages though so not for everyone. But gives a great insight to how things were done and how small the places they worked was. Great value for money

West Shore Beach

4.6

Beach
West Shore Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located in a coastal town in north Wales. It is quieter compared to the North Shore Beach, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a more peaceful environment. The beach offers a large expanse of sand that stretches far out to sea during low tide, providing visitors with a gorgeous setting to enjoy.
As a foreigner living in Chester, this is the best place I have found so far within a 1h range. Lovely beach and views. Perfect spot to see the sunset. Llandudno offers short hikking routes great for stretching your legs and have a small taste of nature. Clean spaces everywhere and wonderful locals
Christian C — Google review
Beautiful and picturesque beach with a fantastic chippy nearby, Memos. A well kept beach, walkway and panoramic views across the sea especially around sunset being on the west side.
Ben — Google review
The water stinks and it is dirty. Maybe as it is dog friendly or don't know the reason. Seagulls don't let you eat but the scenery and view is beautiful. Sandy and kids friendbut not clean I would say as the smell is unbearable.
Samina T — Google review
Llandudno has two sides of beaches. This side, the west, has a long stretch of beach with dunes and pebbles. I was told it’s the largest beach here. It’s not developed like the main beach, no promenade or hotels or places to visit. There are just a couple cafes and a chip shop (closed bank holiday!). I last came here 10 years ago and recall it being a large and lovely sandy beach. We arrived today at 1pm and saw only pebbles 😂 however the tide was in (I’m not scientific enough to explain why it was in at this time and not when I came last time, at this time). Anyway, there were patches of sand and gradually the tide went out and behold! The sand! This side is let down by lack of places to eat (the two cafes are expensive). But, then again, that’s its charm too. I’m going to head over to the main beach. The footpath is adorned with benches to sit, there are lots of places to sunbath between the dunes, in the sand but away from sea.

West Shore Beach in Llandudno is a tranquil spot with golden sands, stunning sunsets, and views of Conwy Mountain ,its just 10mins walk from llandudno pier. Quieter than the North Shore, it’s ideal for walks, picnics, and a relaxing escape by the sea
Dr W — Google review
A nice well kept sandy beach. If you want to spend time on the beach by the sea then this is probably the better side of Llandudno to visit as it is sandy.
Cale M — Google review
This beach has to be the most relaxing beaches I’ve visited. Ok, maybe nothing compared to Spain or even Bamburgh, but to us it’s idyllic, I could sit there all day watching the waves roll in. It’s relaxing, charming and picturesque. It’s the first place we come to when we visit Llandudno, a beautiful place in itself. The beaches are spotlessly clean and certainly don’t smell like one reviewer has said, have they never seen seaweed before. I’m amazed with this place and always will. It’s beautiful.

Nestled in the charming coastal town of Llandudno, The Lilly Restaurant with Rooms offers an intimate fine dining experience featuring exquisite British cuisine alongside 11 contemporary guest bedrooms. This delightful establishment is perfectly situated for outdoor enthusiasts, especially during the warmer months from June to August when you can explore scenic trails like the Great Orme and enjoy leisurely walks along the coastal path. For those seeking adventure, late spring and early autumn provide ideal conditions for rock climbing and abseiling.
We had drinks and food here on our weekend break. After seeing another customers fish & chips I decided to order some. The fish was a good size and coated in perfect crispy batter I really enjoyed the home made tartare sauce, it was honestly the best I have ever tasted The whole meal was delicous and was clearly all home made

The Barman was rude. Refused to help a disabled person into the restaurant, there were cushions blocking the entrance which restricted access. Not a lot of room in the bar area for seating inside but plenty outside, it's Wales, not the Costa del sol. Never stayed in the hotel so this review is just for the bar. Draft beer was good.

Lilly's is one of the beautiful places we have stayed. The views from our room are stunning and the room was incredible. Adam is the best grumpy man ever, he is no where near as grumpy has he makes how to be. Adam made us so welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast was tasty and the evening meal was outstanding. We will be visiting again very soon. Best wishes Carol & Graham.

Loved our stay here the food was amazing and the room was but could do with a hoover behind the door and the along the skirting board. I couldn't fault it only to the above. The owner is a bit miserable but probably working to hard. Cooked breakfast brilliant but don't ask for anything different because you won't get it. Am not slatting the establishment meerly pointing out a few things. All in all great stay

Appalling service. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST if looking for a nice meal. Went in as a family. Waited 45 min to get our food when noone else had food in the restaurant. Ordered a kids cheeseburger and ask for no cheese. Only for it to be brought out With cheese. So one of the kids ended up eating alone as all others had finished eating. The waiters couldn't be more interested. Asked for the burger which cost £7 to be taken off the bill only to be told that since the burger still got eaten, they couldn't take it off the bill. It's £7. Appalling. Absolutely DO NOT recommend this place.

Due to stay and we decided to cancel our booking. I tried various ways to contact the hotel and met with no response. Rang them and an incredibly rude man spoke to my husband. Very unhelpful and just couldn't be bothered to speak to us properly. Due to this we cancelled our booking and booked elsewhere. After reading reviews we realised some others have experienced this person!

The Kings Head is a historic pub in Llandudno, known for its dog-friendly atmosphere and cozy setting. In the colder months, visitors can enjoy sitting by the roaring fire with their furry companions while savoring a pint or indulging in delicious food. During warmer seasons, patrons can take advantage of the fantastic garden offering views of the bay and Great Orme.
Super dog friendly pub with great food and good coffee. We enjoyed the prawn cocktail, plaice with new potatoes and traditional battered fish and chunky chips. Water bowls were provided for the dogs as well as a cosy blanket to lie on. Would definitely recommend.

I stopped by for dinner (no drinks this time) and was genuinely impressed by the range of seating options. Whether you're after fresh air on the patio, a cozy old-school vibe with traditional wooden tables, lively group dining on long benches, or a quieter, more refined space with stylish decor—this place has it all. My family and I settled into a lovely, tucked-away corner that felt just right. The food? Surprisingly good for the price—nothing fancy, but well-cooked and satisfying. And the desserts? Definitely a highlight. All in all, it was a warm, welcoming, and enjoyable dining experience that exceeded our expectations.

If you have the energy to walk up the hill to catch the tram then go in here as a reward afterwards!! The food selection was excellent (they start again after 5pm). Very clean, very nice, the outside space is floral and welcoming. The staff are helpful, quick and knowledgeable... I asked for "a dry white wine please" the barmaid said "Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot or Chardonnay" I asked for Sauvignon Blanc and she said "Chile or New Zealand" (I'm not joking when I say I have been places where the wine offerings are "red or white") Games to play are kept in the bay window for the kids, and they are very very friendly. Nice to wave to the passengers on the tram too 100% recommend

Just popped in for our second visit today for a Sunday lunch! Such a friendly, dog-loving pub with fantastic food. It was just as great as our first visit during pie week. This time, we all enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast. The food was perfectly cooked, and the cooked beetroot 🫜 was a really nice touch. The manager even brought a little bowl of meat scraps for our dog—so sweet! We’ll definitely be making this a regular stop whenever we’re in Llandudno.

If I could have left 10 stars out of 5 I would have done. Having defied death on the Great Orme Tram my wife decided I should be rewarded with a pint and some food. I ordered the Steak and Guinness pie and I was presented with a meal for a family of 4! Not only was the pie huge and bloody lovely, it was accompanied by every veg available too! I need to go and put my loose trousers on now and have a nap in the sun somewhere.

Just had a little sample of the King’s Head new menu - outstanding! They’ve taken the menu up a notch just when I thought that wasn’t possible! Try the nibbles menu with some options showing in the photo - Turkey and cranberry sausage roll with to die for how made heavy dip, duck bonbons with hoi sin dip and breaded Camembert with homemade cranberry dip! Friendly staff too, especially Ffion where nothing was too much trouble!

The Kings Head is a very family oriented pub where the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm and ambient and cosy. They play lovely music. They are dog friendly. It reminds me off the old fashioned pubs where everyone is welcome including dogs. They have an open cracking fire. The drinks and food is reasonably priced and the food that is cooked here is cooked using locally sourced ingredients and is absolutely sensational.this pub is a wonderful gem of Llandudno.

Little atmosphere but is was mid afternoon so not busy. That said we sat outside in very comfy chairs and had a good beer. We didn't eat here but the food looked excellent and we look forward to trying it next time we are in LLandudno, we just had other plans. Popped in as we had just been up the tramway which you have to cross to enter the pub, quirky but fun.

Nestled in the picturesque Conwy Valley, Welsh Mountain Zoo is a conservation zoo offering breathtaking views and a diverse collection of rare animals. From red pandas to tigers and snow leopards, visitors can marvel at exotic and endangered species while strolling through lush gardens. Families can enjoy interactive experiences, educational exhibits, and daily animal encounters. The zoo also features a quiet farm with rabbits and ducks for children to enjoy.
Such a unique place. Staff are friendly and helpful, we went to a few talks which we don't normally do but was easy to get around, not too busy and well worth going to them. The enclosures are a little smaller compared to some other larger zoos but the animals are well loved and cared for. Fabulous views, great playground. A couple of cafes. We got chips/drinks from the safari which were reasonably priced. Plenty of parking and right by the beach so we went there after. Would highly recommend. My 13, 11 and 7 year old loved it. We will definitely go back. Arrived about 10:15 and left approx 15:30.

The walk from Colwyn Bay town to the zoo is intense as it is uphill but it was so worth it. The views were beautiful. Ticket prices are reasonable, staff are friendly & as we went before the schools break up for the summer holidays it was quiet. This gave us time to see everything. We were in awe of the bear, seeing a brown bear was an amazing experience. Even the food was reasonably prices
Kat A — Google review
A lovely little zoo with a beautiful garden a views of the ocean. We saw 90% of the animals during our visit which was amazing, especially the snow leopards. The animal talks were interesting, our favorite was the sea lion training. Only reason for the 4 not 5 stars is due to the food and drink options. During our visit there weren’t any ice creams and the only drinks available were limited warm cans and hot drinks. We ate in the penguin cafe and a basic baguette was £9, which shocked me. Definitely bring your own food. Hot dogs and chips are available in the restaurant for slightly cheaper but were sold out. Toilets were very clean. We spend around 4 hours here. For those wondering you can easily get a taxi from the train station. It cost us £6 with Dales Taxis, walking down to town was fine but you don’t want to have to walk up the mountain to the zoo.
Ella H — Google review
Just visited for the first time and loved it. Spent hours there and even had dinner there. Lots to see on the walks around the zoo. Check out the website. The food was a little expensive but it all helps to keep the place open and the cafe was really clean and modern and well looked after. All the staff were great. Little talks every hour or so but we missed them lol. Would highly recommend.
Skycamvideo — Google review
Brilliant zoo with brilliant talks. Alex was excellent with the bear talk, she was so knowledgeable, not just with bears but with a lot of other animals. Sea lions and the show were fantastic. Food in the penguin view place was really nice and reasonably priced. We took about 5 hours to go around the whole zoo with a 3 year old and 5 year old and stuck around for two talks. We didn’t go at a rushed pace around the park. Gift shop is pricey but then they always are in these places. All in all, a great day out! Just a heads up, it’s cheaper if you book online before the day you choose to go. Don’t book on the day you’re going because it’s more expensive. No family ticket available if you don’t book before the day you go.
Emma M — Google review
Now this is a Zoo! I went here with my partner and 10yr old son. We absolutely loved it from start to finish. The animals were brilliant. The staff went above and beyond; answering any questions or just talking to us about the animals they cared for. I made some amazing core memories with some of my favourite animals. I will be back as soon as I can that's for sure. There are accessible parts of the zoo but it is very much hills and slopes at parts. There are plenty of food places and toilets dotted around the place. There is always some fun activity for the kids to do to keep them busy and interested throughout your visit. Could not recommend this Zoo more highly! It's amazing!
Paula D — Google review
A really nice place to visit. The staff where all friendly and the animals looked well cared for. We spent a good 4 hours + wandering round taking everything in. The paper map is a little hard to follow and I would suggest that perhaps an app maybe better but I can't remember what the phone signal was like.
Lee W — Google review
Recommend coming here Variety of animals and well maintained the habitats were made as well close to orginal habitat of the animals. All of us loved the butterfly enclosure. One thing I'd say is that its kinda confusing trying to find the animals because of the lack of signage and people were ignoring the exit only sign to get into the butterfly enclosure so it created a traffic jam.

Porth Dyniewaid, also known as Angel Bay, is a hidden gem that offers an enchanting escape into nature. Nestled near the Little Orme headland, this stunning location features a circular walking route where visitors can enjoy breathtaking coastal views and the chance to spot adorable seal pups during October and November. The area is rich in birdlife and provides numerous walking paths for all levels of hikers. While dogs are welcome, it's essential to keep them on leads to protect local wildlife.
Fantastic place to spot some grey seals 🦭 you’re advised not to go down to the beach as to not disturb them, but there’s plenty of spots to sit and observe from afar. You can park on a nearby street with relative ease depending on the time of day. But I highly recommend visiting this place. It’s beautiful.

Absolutely stunning place! You can park for free along the side streets nearby. Just walk up the steps, and you’re immediately rewarded with breathtaking coastal views. We were lucky enough to spot some seals relaxing on the rocks – such a peaceful and beautiful spot. Highly recommended for a quiet nature escape!

Lovely little stop here for Angel Bay to see the seals inside the cove area viewable from the cliff. Nice well signposted route to walk with very few silly safety notices. Care to be taken as some very steep cliff edges but absolutely beautiful view. Fairly flat wall along the main path but a little more tricky if you want yo climb the higher rocks. We didn't do the entire walk as it appeared a little longer than we had time for that day.
Kirsty B — Google review
This place is absolutely stunning, the scenery & water is beautiful! Also managed to see some wild seals bobbing around which was really cool. The walk to here isn't too onerous & is well worth making the trip. I'll certainly be returning 😊

A really lovely spot . I was lucky enough to see the seals hauled out on the beach. It's an easy walk from Llandudno. I returned by going up the steep bank to the derelict winding gear at the top and followed the trail back to the main road. A lovely walk

Beautiful place to take in the sea air and see the seals at a distance. A good tip is to take your binoculars for a real close look at them without disturbing their peace.
Nick C — Google review
Fabulous! Plenty of free parking as a start, then you can go up 3 levels. The 1st you only have few steps then it's flat to where you can see Angel Bay and the grey seals 🦭🦭. 2nd level you walk up a bit and reach a quarry area and what used to be a World War II artillery practice camp. 3rd level you can enjoy breathtaking views of Llandudno and the Great Orme. I loved the wildlife too 👍

Absolutely brilliant. Great for picnic, walk and recreation. I loved the idea of shared plantation of vegetables and flowering plants. Pine trees have been planted years ago but are well looked after.. I wish we have such parks in Dewsbury, Huddersfield and Cleckheaton. Kirklees is a Council with poor facilities and high hopes. We enjoyed our time at Queens Park.

Free parking available close to this pretty little park. Children's play area appears well maintained, one aspect was clearly fenced off for repairs. Seems to cater to a range of ages and includes a 'zipwire' activity. Grass areas for picnic, bins on site. The park was very clean on the day of visit. Had a lovely afternoon here with family.

Lovely park, well kept by a band of hardworking volunteers, loved by adults, children and dogs. Great play area, shame no toilets as there was years ago. Wish people would pick up their dog poo though. Oak trees in bloom at the moment and are magnificent, 3 different coloured blooms promising many conkers in the Autumn. A park I spent many happy hours in as a child.

RSPB Conwy is a 114-acre nature preserve that boasts various habitats such as grasslands and salt marsh, making it an ideal home to an array of bird species. Its stunning views across the Conwy valley make the entry fee of 6 pounds for adults well worth it. Visitors can enjoy spotting different types of wildlife, including swans and herons flying around or just relaxing at some of the hides on site.

What a marvelous place. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were given an excellent overview of the work being done on the site and have to say the enthusiasm of the team is wonderful to see. A special mention for Jake for his advice and guidance. We enjoyed a lovely walk observing many birds and a few squirrels along the trail and in the estuary. We stopped at a number of hides and had great fun trying to identify the numerous species going about their business. The scenery and the abundance of birds made for quite a special day out.

Fabulous place to visit. It's well thought out with beautiful scenery. Great paths for the disabled and chair. Easy walking for the not so able. Great café. Cheap entrance fee. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended

We've been meaning to visit for a long time but actually managed it today as read online there was also a Farmers Market taking place. We had a lovely walk around and spent time in a few of the hides watching the various birds. Hoping for a lot of rain which will sort out the water problems in the lagoons! We would definitely recommend a visit and we'll be back soon.

Seriously beautiful place. Great little family outing. Good value, decent little play area for the kids and the main circular walk was interesting and not too long for our young kids.

Situated off A55 J18, RSPB's North Wales location takes advantage of a site once used to receive ground excavations for the A55's Conwy Tunnel. The site features freshwater wetland, a modern visitors centre/store, and a cafe. The facilities are excellent, and include ample parking, great accessibility, toilets/baby changing facilities and also a playground. Dog walkers beware that canines are not allowed, however a trail joins the visitor centre to Conwy, and anyone prepared to walk for 20-30 minutes during summer months will probably reach Conwy Harbour before successfully finding a parking place in town. RSPB is a charity, so be prepared for a modest entrance fee unless your visit is restricted to the cafe only, and be prepared for well versed volunteers asking for donations!

A great place to break the journey to Anglesey. A walk round the reserve was relaxing and we saw various wildflowers, including lots of Southern Marsh Orchids and plenty of waterfowl and waders.

Home From Home Restaurant is a family-run gem with very friendly staff and amazing food. The chef's brilliance shines through in dishes like the veggie pasta, which is said to be the best ever tasted. Portion sizes are generous, and parking is easy to find just across the road. The ambience is quiet and relaxing, making it perfect for a light lunch or an enjoyable evening out.
We absolutely love visiting on our annual holiday. We visited 5 times over the course of a week - the food and service is amazing!! Emily took great care of us and was such a smiley, chatty server. Thank you!

Lovely food here, it may not look spectacular from the outside but the service was really good as was the choice of dish. We had multiple different things and everybody was really happy with their meal. Although not the cheapest, portions were generous and it was fresh and so tasty you could tell that quality is really important to them. Staff were friendly and helpful. Top marks all round

What a gem of a restaurant this is we came across it whilst on holiday from Kent The staff are both welcoming and attentive making atmosphere is just right and the food is absolutely delicious! We had both the dinner and breakfast menus give it a try you will not be disappointed. Being a vegetarian who is allergic to mushrooms I often struggle with menus but not here ! The chef just adapts their menu to suit you as everything is freshly cooked. TBH this place is amazing if it was situated in Kent I know that there would be weeks to wait to book a table here as it is such a special place and people would return time and time again.

Amazing food as always! Tasty, hot and home made. The staff are lovely and always find a way to fit us in, even when busy! Pretty good prices too! 😊

We were visiting from London, and just wanted a quiet escape for a week. We had no expectations of finding a top class restaurant on our doorstep. But we did! This place is a revelation, and not in a central touristy area at all. Do not let that put you off. My friends and I were here Sunday afternoon, and returned tonight (Wednesday). The food is exceptional, well cooked, beautifully presented and way way beyond expectations. The staff are just lovely. Attentive, helpful and care about what they are doing. So refreshing. Decor is classy, modern, and everything is absolutely spotless. The menu is full of classic dishes, many offered with a well considered twist or options that inspire culinary exploration. Prices are 50% below a quality West End venue with comparable quality food. I could go on, but just come here and see for yourself. And you're welcome for the tip. My friends and I have just booked for the next 2 nights. We are not being boring. We just won't find anywhere this good in a 30 mile radius.

Lovely restaurant. Reasonable prices. Came to £38 person. Roast dinner, dessert, a couple of drinks. Service was good. Very polite. No service charge. Was well worth a tip.

Nestled in a 17th-century Grade I listed hall within a 200-acre private estate, Bodysgallen Hall and Spa offers an upscale retreat with stunning views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle. The luxurious accommodations feature free Wi-Fi, while some rooms boast panoramic vistas of the castle and mountains. Guests can indulge in award-winning dining at the 3 AA Rosettes restaurant or unwind at the spa's swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and relaxation areas.
We absolutely LOVED Bodsygallen Hall - the service right from the get go was exceptional from the original booking which was super easy and they accomodated all our requests for spa treatments, meal times as well as accomodated special requests with no hesitation at all. From Will and Sally on reception to Simon, Daniela and Priyanak on service we were extremely well looked after. I do think it's on the pricey side of things but given the level of service you receive it's worth it as a treat. The bathroom could do with updating as could the tech facilities in the room but bar that we had a splendid time. We met Richard Broyd OBE and the person responsible for maintaining the beautiful artefacts and interior of the hotel and they shared its incredible history and stories about some of the art in the bar. It's STUNNING. The gardens are beautiful - I would love to return in the summer when we can explore more. It's a fantastic location to bounce into LLandudno and surrounding areas like Conwy. Gorgeous stay - we will be back. Can highly recommend the White Onion and Poached Egg Veloute with truffle, pressed ham hock terrine and croqeutte, the lamb with madeira sauce and pea risotto. Delicious!

We stayed one night in the garden cottage for a special occasion. The room location was amazing, private and with own garden. We loved walking around the grounds and woods. Inside the cottage was comfortable and spacious but it was very hot. It was a hot day and the storage heaters had been left on the night before. We struggled to cool the room down before sleep. The only other downside was the old fashioned and stuffy bar area where we frowned upon by Telegraph readers. It did not feel welcoming. Overall we had a nice time but wouldn't stay again for the price.

Location is out of the way, need to drive. Went for afternoon tea. Great service, very friendly staff, presentation of food amazing, food was full of flavour. Recommend the afternoon tea. Price reflected the high standard of food. Didn't see rooms.

It is a great place full of character and old world charm. But expensive so good as a treat. The evening menu didn't change for the two nights we were there, which was a surprise. The breakfasts could have had more imagination.

We stayed for 2 nights in the main house. Very traditional, stately home, with antique furniture, wood panelling. Every member of staff is excellent, super helpful and friendly. Dining room people especially lovely. Food was good, but disappointing to have the same menu on both nights Lost one star as our room was so hot, in February. We turned the radiator off, opened the double glazing, guess that was why there was A/C in the room, we needed it. Also, the bathroom wasn’t that nice, very old bath with awkward shower over Gardens are stunning. If you ask, and they have time, you can go up the 12th century tower for amazing views. We used the spa on both days, nice pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Expensive, but a nice treat.

I visited the spa for the first time as a visitor. My massage exceeded my expectations. Megan made me feel safe and respected after I explained I have AuDHD and trauma around touch. The massage was excellent and exactly what I wanted, and the whole environment is wonderful for relaxation. Highly recommend!

Fish & chips restaurant
Frydays is a popular fish and chip shop that has received high praise from satisfied customers. The freshly cooked Haddock with Chips n Mushy Peas comes highly recommended, as well as the Steak n Ale Pies. Customers have been impressed by the quality of the food, with one person noting that the haddock was the best they've had in a long time. The portions are generous and the staff is friendly, making it a regular stop for many visitors to Llandudno.
Very friendly people!!! Good start as you walk in a chippy is for the staff to say hi. I had cod, chips and mushy peas The Mrs had haddock, chips and curry sauce Both fish were very tasty and a reasonable portion size!! The curry sauce was a good texture and flavour and the mushy peas were some of the nicest I've tried. 23 quid it cost. Which is about right nowadays. I was impressed and would return!!

Lovely fish and chips sat outside in the sun perfect. Food was great with friendly happy staff. Well worth the walk to about 6-7 minutes walk from the promenade. Recommend 👌😊

Really good fish and chip takeaway. Not greasy, well cooked. We had a big order for 10 people and it was all cooked really well. Friendly staff and good service too (very busy on a Friday evening but everything seemed well in hand). A great end to a lovely week's holiday in the town. Recommended!

Absolutely fantastic little fish and chip shop! Food was super fresh and the chips were to die for! My kids loved it too! Could fault the staff who were super friendly too! Will definitely be back!

Love this place I’ve been several times and not disappointed. Home made steak and ale pie is well worth the price. I forgot to order gravy or peas on my last visit.
Nicola F — Google review
First time been here and it was so great! The cod fish is soft and juicy, the outside was crispy and very thin. The taste is just fine and not salty. The homemade curry sauce is delicious and not spicy, suitable for kids as well. It should be one of the best fish and chip I tried and highly recommend👍🏻

Amazing fish & chips would highly recommend and the curry sauce was gorgeous

Was working on a job round the corner when one of the lads suggested a chippy for dinner, didn’t go in with high expectations but my god was I surprised, best haddock I’ve had in my life second to none and the chips, mushy peas and curry sauce were all spot on as well! I wasn’t waiting for ages either despite there being other customers and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming! Brought me right back to my childhood that chippy did and I will definitely be back again if I’m in or around the area!
