Drammen Spiral, also known as Spiralen, is a unique helix-shaped tunnel located in the hills just 2 kilometers from the city center. This popular attraction offers access to the surrounding hills and is a favorite spot for hikers and cross-country skiers in winter. The 1,650-meter long tunnel features six rising circles, resembling a multi-story parking lot, and leads to a summit 180 meters above the town on Skansen Ridge.
It's free, so no need to get anything except parking. The parking machine accepts only cards, so be careful with that. Absolutely breathtaking views and culture pieces.

Beautiful location, overseeing all Drammen from the top of the hill. Keep in mind that if you walk by foot, it is a steep incline and not an easy stroll.
The spiral is easily accessible.

There's a road that leads to the top of the mountain, but it's not just any road - it's a breathtaking spiral road built inside a tunnel that cuts through the mountain. It takes you to the top in just a few minutes. It's an amazing experience!

Thai is a one-of-it’s-kind human ingenuity wonder that has to be experienced by anyone coming to the Oslo/Drammen region 🎉 It is the spiraling drive inside the mountain that forms an elevator which is so unique. You will be greeted by a family of Spiral Mountain Trolls inside the tunnel as Norwegian folk tales have numerous stories about such creatures. Then you reach the top and breathtaking views of the Drammen city and valley all year round🎉 From the (paid) parking lot you have a restaurant, restrooms and views. Additionally there is an outdoor museum a short walk further up the mountain. This is a fantastic starting point for walks on lit trails in nature. All this is accessible for both wheelchairs and prams. If you are adventurous and want to walk up to the Spiral View then you can use the “Zig-Zag” trail with several starting points at the base of the mountain. The bonus walking up or down the mountain are the views 🌸

Magasinet Drammen Shopping Center is a convenient shopping destination located in the heart of Drammen. The center features a variety of stores including Normal, Nille, Bikbok, Cubus, Sports Outlet, Lindex, Monki, and Dressman. Additionally, there are popular coffee shops such as Starbucks and McDonald's along with a supermarket Kiwi. Visitors appreciate the availability of free toilets on the 2nd floor.
Fishing and tourism shop. And fishing, it's my element! 😉 Many very good things can be bought in this shop! I recommend it! 😉

Magasinet Drammen Centrum is a Shopping-center,with parking-house,lots of shops and cafees. In the middle of the walking-street. :)
Good place but prices are a bit higher
Except for parking the shopping mall is quite nice. The cafe in the middle, McDonald's and Starbucks will help you walk all day long. Unfortunately few selections for the shops. I really hope they will add more shops.
A Greatly Nice mall with a good amount of shops and a great amount of toilets! Only problem is parking. It’s very limited too the one parking house under the mall and it can be full from time too time.
Once a majestic center in the midst of the city, they even glassed in a part of a street. All of a sudden someone got a bright idea… lets charge for parking! And here we are with a center without shops. Even H&M moved out!!
I highly recommend stopping here for donuts at tve Hawker bistro!! Wont regret it!
Nice shopping mall with a large variety of stores and a good food court. Some parts of the shopping mall are very maze-like so it's easy to get lost in some of the corridors.

They ran out of food and didn't have enough toilets for 1200 LSK fans, but they were very helpful and found solutions for us. The most negative thing about Marienlyst is that LSK hasn't won there in like forever (including today)...

Scandic Ambassadeur Drammen is an elegant hotel located in central Drammen, right by Gamle Kirkeplass Square. The hotel offers understated rooms with modern amenities and a contemporary restaurant where guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast. Despite some wear and tear in certain areas, the rooms are comfortable. The hotel provides free WiFi and cable TV, and it's conveniently situated near attractions such as Drammen Theatre.
I’d rate this hotel as ‘Standard Plus’ in other words, much more than basic. A lot of that comes from the staff and the excellent breakfast! Staff are attentive and friendly at all times of day and night, and this was probably one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve experienced, catering for vegan, dairy- and gluten-free. Rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. I’ll definitely use the Scandic brand again.

I came home after spending one night in the hotel with my whole body covered in bedbugs bites. Legs, hands, back all over my body.
I travel in Europe and sleep 200nights in hotels this happened to me only once, and last week again.
Sorry Scandic but this should not have happened in this class hotel.
That is a very strong signal for the hygiene issue.
Very good breakfast with plenty of vegan options and great location. However, the customer service was terrible as I contacted the hotel by email about 10 times regarding my booking without getting a reply prior to my arrival. The temperature in the gym was way too high and the gym itself wasn’t very clean. My room was not in the main building and it was super outdated and tiny. No kettle, no coffee machine, just the bare minimum. Not living up to Scandic standards in my opinion.
The breakfast at the hotel was one of the best I've ever seen in any hotel. Really varied and presented really well.
The service was great, really friendly and helpful staff.
There was a fridge in the room which was a big plus. I didn't really miss anything except that the TV should have had YouTube.
The reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is entirely because of the parking, it was a complete nightmare! The hotel doesn't have its own parking space for guests and they couldn't charge the parking fee for the room. There is a garage under the hotel but parking there was shockingly expensive!
But all in all a really good and comfortable hotel! Realy liked it.
Beware: overnight parking can be an issue. Whilst there is onsite parking available, it is limited. We were also charged for entering the basement carpark even though there were no spaces as we had to stop for 5 minutes to ask reception about alternative parking. I'd suggest parking briefly outside reception (if space) to drop off passengers & luggage before finding available overnight parking.
The rooms are compact but very comfortable. Windows - if you have small children, one of the windows opens wide.
The breakfast is outstanding!
The room was well sized and clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast had an amazing selection of different foods for everyone. Reasonably quiet location even with our windows open. Unfortunately there was no aircon and the room was super hot. We kept the windows wide open during the night with the fan on which helped a lot. The parking lot had no parking spots available. There is a car park across the road that works out pretty expensive (around 27 euro for 24h).

I couldn’t check in the receptionist didn’t help even though I had the bookings number and the pincode but they wanted to check the id of the main booker.
There are no parking in front of the hotel but parking garage from behind and down which costs 25 €/ a day, you pay on machine tickets.
The floor on the room was not clean enough to not mention that.
It’s very hot in the room especially in the middle of the day.
The breakfast was good and there are place for kids to drow and play a bit.
Hotels in Norway are generally pricy compared to other regions of Europe, but to be fair to this particular hotel, even though the rooms are fairly small and the furniture looks like outdated, they compensate for that in the comfort of the bed and pillows and the practicality of using the desk, the closet, the bathroom, the shower and to top it up, one of the best open buffets breakfasts I've seen. The breakfast buffet easily beats some 5 star hotels in Europe. Plenty -and I mean plenty-of choices from super organic healthy to super fatty sugar sweets and cakes!
Overall, it exceeded my expectations and I had a great accommodation and sleep for 2 days.
The location is also great near so many points of transportation with plenty of taxis outside, restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets around.

This is the secret scene that books the best indie artists ever! An old storage building converted to a local scene with cult status. Architecturally interesting, but even more culturally interesting. Tickets are reasonable for the quality. Here I have seen Nils Petter Molvær, Scooter, Sash, Dum Dum Boys, Cannibal Corpse, Kvelertak, and so much more! Rock, jazz, experimental, slam, house, techno…all genres welcome, but its basically all indie! When in Drammen rhis place is a definitely must!

Perfect place, nice concerts and cultural diversity.
Wow, how this had evolved since I used to frequent this place in the late 90s. This is a great layout and they are very good at hosting conferences. The location is also very nice.
Union Scene, Drammen, walking distance to public transport, hotells, shops and plenty of places to eat (5 - 10 minutes). Great place for concerts, medium size! Love the atmosphere! Queuing up is indoors, small bar, wardrobe ++. Very friendly, efficient and experienced staff❣Highly recommended!
Nice building and easy to navigate, only drawback is it being in Drammen
Union scene is never a disappointment. Been there several times on Hardstyle DNA. And even if its packed with people, there are good security personnel there. They make you feel safe, and I've never seen any trouble there. One thing that could have made it better was a bit more types of beverage to choose from. But besides that, it's a place I recommend to visit.

Very good for kids and beginners. Has a collection of tracks which scales gradually on difficulty level from flat and large to steep and narrow.
Did the hike up the canyon. Had a great swim at the top of the mountain. and then rode the ski lift down.

Very nice hill but limited terrain and parking. Went on a weekday, there were only about 15 people which was. I’ve got us.

It's a cute little place in the middle of shopping centre, feels roomy but intimate, a pleasant mix.
When it comes to the pastries I'm a little split. I had a glazed doughnut, as it was raved about among my friends, but I didn't particularly like it. It might just be my taste buds, or I got unlucky with what tasted like a center that wasn't entirely done.
Speaking of their products: what is on show is creative and fun, if maybe a little too excessive for me, I can easily see that it would be entirely in line with what others might like.
I'd probably come again next time I'm around the area, try one of the more fancy pastries and maybe even the coffee. Give it a visit if you feel like a bit of a sugar bomb might hit the spot.

Decent room for sleeping in, but if you need the bathroom at night, it'll light up the whole room because of the window above the mirror.
Rooms are only cleaned after four days, but at least the rooms do seem clean.
Breakfast is okay, but they keep running out of bowls for yoghurt and cutlery... There are also quite limited options for vegetarians. I must say the bread was amazing though.
Recommended if you just need a place to sleep, but if you're hoping for a nice hotel experience this isn't it.
Rooms really aren’t great. I can hear the noises from other people’s toilets through the walls constantly. The rooms are quite outdated, and the bathroom has no shower curtain so the water goes all over the floor.
I stayed at Comfort Hotel Union Brygge in Drammen. The rooms are comfortable but already quite used and would benefit from some renovation. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a gym available and offers a good breakfast. The location is excellent, close to the center. Parking at the hotel is rather expensive (around €40) and limited, but the hotel also provides the option to park in a nearby garage just a few minutes’ walk away

Ok for the money, paid 1100 nok for a double room. At the breakfast do not take any stuff cooked there and then you are good.

Found this gem by chance as it was late and me and my friends wanted food. The place was nice, the lady who welcomed us, sat us down and then served us was very good with her customer service. Tha food was really good. And the price was very fare. I would recommend all to try.
Beautifully decorated place, clean with the perfect dim light atmosphere. All waiters were quick, kind and welcoming, everybody was doing their work. The portions are very big and worth the money, so prepare to eat a lot. The grilled chicken (kyllingkotoletter) was PHENOMENAL, tender and delicious. Lahmacun was so good and the pickled vegetables really tasty. Mantı were also to die for. Overall I wish we lived closer to Drammen, but if we ever visit again, that's where we will be eating!

Stopped here on a quick one night stay in Drammen to grab take away. I got the mix grill plate and was pleasantly surprised with how much food came with the order. Kebabs were cooked perfectly and everything tasted great. The service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was authentic.

Hard to say anything about the food. We ordered a table, came, been seated and left after being ignored of stuff over 20 min.

Drammensbadet is the largest water park in Norway, located in Drammen, a city known for its industrial and port activities. The water park offers a variety of indoor and outdoor pools suitable for both summer and winter visits, making it an ideal destination for families or groups of friends. The swimming hall at Drammensbadet is relatively new, spacious, and easily accessible by car or public transportation.
Excellent facility with more than enough space for adults and kids. The staff are also very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help.

Very descent swimming hall for personal fitness and family leisure activities. I come here with sons quite often due to the variety of pools. I also come here to swim laps. There are 5 swimming pools catering the little ones all the to the more athletic 50m pool to shallow water pool catering to the more fragile of swimmers. There are also 2 water slides. Changing rooms are well kept with options for family type changing rooms. Light foods are also served. There is gym as well.
Can we start by saying the lack of empathy from some of the people who works in here ? I came with my son and I asked one of the people who works as a course teacher if I can borrow a toy so my son could play with me she said and I’m quoting “ nei” we don’t borrow stuffs. So I asked one of the lifeguard girls if I could and she said of course !!! Also, please make it easy for mothers who go with babies. Easy in the sense of the entrance in the changing rooms maybe a changing table? Also, don’t be rude. I don’t know why I got the sense of discrimination in here. I won’t ever come back here also the fact that it is expensive sorry won’t even come back and I won’t ever recommend a mom to come here!
Ends up to get pretty busy but I really enjoy the 50m pool.
The main issues here are the changing rooms and facilities in general, they're worn out.
You also better had bring some coins for the locker because they dont have the nice electronic band system like the other swimming pools in this part of Norway.
Terrible food, stay away. Fries+simple sausage for 94 NOK. Tasted awful, and as a bonus we got sick when returnering home.. Showers cannot be temperature controlled. Way too hot for small kids (40C+). Obs! No soap available in showers.
Not many Norwegians to spot, although quite pricy. No-one seemed to follow the wash rules before entering the pool, despite visual illustration and translation to English. Decent pool activities, however a bit crowded.
We paid a lot of money for so many facilities that were 'out of order'. Some area was limited for use since there was swimming course going on every hour. This is winter vacation and many of us travelled from Oslo and further, so thumbs down to Drammensbadet.
Great place. Not so clothes norse girls. No beers. One need to pay 50 krones to access a bar where alcohol is allowed. The normal enter fee is Kr150.
A relatively recently constructed swimming hall, large and airy and easily accessible with car and public transportation (the train station is 10 minutes walk away). Has several swimming pools (both indoor and outdoor), water slides, jacuzzis, a small restaurant and a fitness centre. A good place to take the kids on a boring Sunday afternoon.

Bragernes Church is a striking 210-foot-tall architectural marvel located in Drammen. Situated atop a hill, it overlooks a serene public area leading to the fjord. An beautiful Evangelical Lutheran church designed by Ernst Norgrenn (1839-1880) in Neo Gothic style and built of brick. It was consecrated in 1871. The old Bragernes church (Gamle Bragernes kirke) was west of Bragernes square. Built in 1708, it burned down in 1866.
Bragernes church is located in the center of Drammen. Bragernes Cemetery is west of the church. The tower is 64 metres (210 ft) tall. The pulpit was designed by Ernst Norgrenn, while the baptismal font was by Christian Borch. The altarpiece, Resurrection was painted by Adolph Tidemand. It was copied in many Norwegian churches. The churuch organ has 38 voices and was built in the romantic style of organ builder Carsten Lund Organ Builders of Copenhagen.

what a beautiful church! that alone is worth the visit. But i have to praise the staff, the woman who greeted us made the whole experience ten times better, we got such a detailed guided tour of the church , and it was a really fun and interesting experience.

We were here for dinner and were totally thrilled. The food was excellent, the service very courteous and attentive and the location and setting is simply exceptional. The long journey from Oslo was definitely worth it and we can only recommend it to anyone!

One of the staff members confidently misled us—he confirmed the availability of a dish, but after making us wait for 30 minutes, he casually informed us that it wasn’t available and asked us to order something else.

We often visit here and the reason that drives us to Punjabi Tikka is there good quality of food and hospitality. Food quality remains the same every time you visit here. Atmosphere is also very classy. I highly recommend this place.
One of the worst Pakistani food from restaurant in Norway. In general, Pakistani restaurants do not give the same taste as they should, but this one is at the bottom. Ordered take away, had to throw most of it. Old/hard meat, hard rice and tasteless.
Really good food. Have only tried the take away menu, but that is always fresh and hot. Take away is served in really great disposable containers that keeps the food fresh. I would suggest the grill dishes with added spice as they are really good.

I ate the Burgerland Chorizo, and the composition of all strong flavours, especially together with the sauce and sweet fried potatoes with Parmesan, effectively killed the taste of the dish.
Conclusion: skip side orders, at least anything else than clean fries. The burger tasted great and was plentiful (double).

Wonderful burger but had to wait 45 minutes for food and the amount of fries was to damn small
Half decent burger. The patty seems to be too finely ground, and comes out hard and spongy. Meat is cooked through, and not juicy. It does not crumble at all, and chewing into it squashes the otherwise ok bun. The Josper grill imparts a nice smoky flavour on the meat. Service and presentation was good.

At this time of year (October), it was nice and quiet. There's a view of the city. This place can only be reached by foot, about halfway up the mountain. At the top, there's a nice open air museum that teaches about life in Norway in the past. The mountain also features the Spiralen, which is a spiraling road of 7 floors, with protective trolls hidden in the walls.
