Nonza is a fun place to spend the day. The town is small but charming. Steps from the town lead to a black sand beach. The water is exceptionally clear and refreshing. The view is amazing.

A short (a bit steeper) walk up from Nonza village. You can't climb to the top of the tower, but can enjoy the view from the bottom on Nonza beach and village. We parked along the street where you can pay by card using the ticket machine.

Outdoor Activities
Plage de Nonza, often referred to as Plage de Noir, is a captivating black pebble beach nestled along the northern coast of Corsica. This unique spot is characterized by its striking dark pebbles and stunning natural surroundings, making it a must-visit for those seeking something different. To reach this hidden gem, visitors embark on a scenic 15-minute walk down a rock staircase from the charming village of Nonza.
Amazing beach with amazing colours. What is truly special about this place is the black rocks on the beach. Not very frequented as people think it's dangerous for health ( there was a asbestos mine in the area). Personally when we went in July we didn't see anybody on the beach. It is very easy to see it from the village of Nonza which is definitely worth a visit.
Daniela T — Google review
The best beach on the north coast of Corsica, to my opinion. Not crowded, vast and clean, with small greenish black pebbles, surrounded with green hills. We asked locals about asbestos issues there, and they told us it was all a myth and it was perfectly safe to swim there (also, there were no any warning signs at the beach). There’s a small car park on the north side of the beach with a rugged natural path to the sea (not push chair friendly).
Alexandra M — Google review
Great beach, one of the most interesting in North. Even though I visited it in August, there were no so many people and it's quite rare if you consider it was the 14th (so the busiest day of the year!). No sand but very small green/dark stones. Please remind you could reach the beach only after 15 min walking and you can't park in the near proximity.. It's not difficult at all but you must consider it. Please also keep in mind there are no facilities there. Overall, the beach it's fantastic and worth the visit
Paolo B — Google review
The beach is lovely, but its true beauty reveals itself when seen from the village
Pablo T — Google review
The village above is definitely worth a stop for the totally stunning view and to visit the interesting church. But better not sit on the beach or get in the water (it's a long way down anyway), you can see it's clouded with dust from a disused asbestos mine at the northern end.
Niamh H — Google review
Awesome beach, unique with its black rock coverage. Some places the decent into the watet can be steep, but no big deal. Attitional bonus that there are rocks far out, så you dont need to worry about dragging sand everywhere. Also, on sunny days the rocks get super hot, highly reccomend shoes you can bathein or that can stand the water.
Martin D — Google review
Great beach with thick dark grey sand/tiny stones. The sea becomes really deep suddenly. It seems like the cost was modified in order to have a human height depth. You need to do a long winding road in order to arrive to the beach.
Engin E — Google review
Beautiful to see. In August is really too hot to go all the way down but the walk seems lovely!

Nestled in the charming village of Erbalunga, the Centre de Plongée Calypso Marine offers an unforgettable diving experience in the stunning waters of Cap Corse. This small yet welcoming dive center is run by Rym, whose passion for both diving and Corsica shines through in every interaction. With a focus on personalized service, guests can expect thorough briefings and top-notch equipment conveniently located at the pier—no heavy lifting required!
I spent a week diving around Erbalunga with Rym from Calypso Marine. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by what lays under the water at Cap Corse. There is a lot of marine life and a cool little plane wreck to explore. Rym is an amazing guide and instructor, and his great language skills (French, English, some German) resulted in clear and smooth communication. He is very patient and accommodating to any diver’s needs. He really helped me to improve my diving skills and introduced me to deep (deeper than 30m dives) and thought me how to do mandatory deco stops.
Margriet P — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible First Dive with Rym in Corsica! Our family of five had never dived before, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the underwater world than with Rym. He was calm, professional, and incredibly patient with each of us — both adults and kids. Rym took the time to explain the basics of diving clearly and thoroughly, switching effortlessly between English and French, which made everyone feel included and confident. His approach made us feel safe and excited, and the experience turned out to be unforgettable. We saw beautiful marine life, learned the foundations of safe diving, and had a lot of fun in the process. Highly recommended for any family or first-time divers — especially with Rym as your instructor. Thank you for such a memorable day!
Laurence D — Google review
Rym is a fantastic scuba instructor / guide and there are loads of great dive sites to choose from! Can't recommend enough.

We did a PADI refresher at Plongée Calypso Marine in the classic picturesque harbor. Great experience in a small group with a great instructor who spoke very well English, was patient, and a good teacher. Highly recommend this diving school and hope to come back once. Cheers, Manouk & Pieter
Pieter S — Google review
Planned a diving weekend in August, and could have not been better. Rym is one of the most professional and responsible instructor and guides I got the pleasure to dive with. He took us to amazing spots, and knew the place like the palm of his hand.
Santi G — Google review
Very friendly, patient and professional! We had an introduction to scuba diving and Rym made us feel at ease right away. We will definitely come back!
Maddalena B — Google review
We went for a snorkelling trip yesterday and can only recommend this! The guides took great care of us, giving our group all the instructions and equipment needed and ensured the experience was amazing for everyone. We brought our son, 7yrs, and he was having such a great time exploring the coastline of the cap corse. For anyone booking the randonnée palmés (snorkelling in french), make sure you are not in a rush. It took as a good 45 min to get aboard with everyone in their perfectly outfits (Neopren suits, masks etc) and the divers getting to know their equipment. We then spent 2 hours in the water and went back to the little harbour.
Anna O — Google review
Small Dive Center, very Personal, Safe and perfect place. Equipment directly at the pear. No carrying. Very good Briefing. The center is runned by Rym, WHO is Not only a very calm, funny and relaxed person - you feel bis passion for diving and the Island of corsica. The center is based in Embarlago, a little Village with a beautiful Seaside, nice Cafés and typical corsean Houses.

A Piazzetta restaurant offers a welcoming and amiable staff, an idyllic backdrop, and exquisitely crafted cuisine. The seafood spaghetti is reminiscent of what one would envision indulging in while basking in the Mediterranean region. Although it may be pricier compared to a notable gastropub in England, the experience is well worth it due to the captivating ambiance that permeates throughout. The recommendation from hosts further solidified its excellence.

Food was very bland and not exciting too see nor the taste of it. Got a drink poured on us. The food came and it did not taste good and the course were not well combined. Later we told the chef that the food wasn’t the best and he cursed us out. I do not recommend coming here if you’re not looking for bland and not good tasting food.

La Sassa is a restaurant situated on a scenic rock outcrop overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The setting is spectacular and the food, excellent - it's well worth a visit for dinner or sunset viewing. Prices are in line with other similar restaurants in the area, but the quality of service and food makes it well worth the trip.
Outstanding food. You have to try one of the signature dishes. Highly recommend one of the homemade drinks, too.

Our meal at this restaurant was the highlight of our Corsican trip. Not only was the food delicious and the staff incredibly attentive, but the jaw-dropping view was unforgettable. Perched on a cliff, it offers an incredible panorama of the Mediterranean Sea. The building itself, made of ancient stones, melds perfectly with the natural rock, creating an unbelievable ambiance ideal for a romantic lunch. We're definitely planning to return for dinner to experience what must be an incredible sunset.

The atmosphere is out of this world!! Sometimes when you go to a place with this type of amazing ambience, the kitchen doesn’t have to try very hard. But that is NOT the case here!! The food is fantastic! The octopus was beautiful and cooked perfectly. My dad’s croque monsieur was not traditional yet very tasty. The prawn appetizer was great too! Don’t miss this spot!!
Jeff K — Google review
It's the location. Drinks, appetizers and dessert were great, as well we loved the warm welcome and attentive service. The only down side was the meat in our main dish, it was a little bit chewy. PS: Ask for a seat right of the entrance to see the sundown! Otherwise bring a jacket after 8pm, it is all open air. Overall great experience! Thank you!

Great place, amazing view ! Have to go place , food is so so but the rest is nice
Christophe B — Google review
Even though this is somewhat a tourist trap, they are really making an effort to please their guest with their dessert options, which e.g. includes home made lemonade and ice cream - maybe the best vanilla ice cream I've ever got (with strong vanilla taste) and also a really good raspberry flavored ice cream 👌 I would always visit this place when at Cap Corse. The view from the top is fantastic and you will enjoy the "sand art" on the beach, where locals and tourists are drawing on the dark beach to please visitors of La Sassa.

LE PIRATE is a renowned restaurant in Bastia, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. It has earned a Michelin star for its precision and creativity in preparing fresh seafood and fish dishes. The elegant atmosphere and impeccable service add to the culinary experience. Situated on the harbor front, diners can enjoy both open-air and indoor dining with warm decor.
Let me start with the obvious, food and setting are wonderful. You couldn't ask for a more perfect setting for a meal. Here's where it's different. This is a Michelin star restaurant executing at a very high level. We had dinner reservation (my wife and I, and our 9 month old son. I know not a great idea). We rolled into town, and our son was developing a cold. We stopped by to cancel or reschedule, sloppily dressed (as we drove in from Calvi and stopped at the beach beforehand). They were all so warm and gracious, so we decided to stay for lunch instead. We went for the chef's full tasting menu (6 course and 2 dessert courses, again not a great idea with a baby.) They cranked it out with precision, grace, and excellence. The service was top notch as well, friendly and attentive, but not cloying either. Really?!? What a great experience. Thank you! We will return.

Great dinner location and fantastic food and wine! The menu was short, but all the food served was perfect, including the dessert. We had a great table by the water which was the perfect setting. Loved it, would def return.
Celia F — Google review
If there's only really one thing you want from a restaurant that's not to get food poisoning. Which is what my friend and I both had from what we suspect was poorly handled seafood. Pretty disappointed by an otherwise poorly executed and uninspiring menu. Not sure why this is in the Michelin guide still, I see why they lost their star. Was served a glass of sour wine which had clearly been opened for days. Also not sure how you can pass off a amuse bouche as a full course. 2 Stars for friendly servers and port side setting.
Z X — Google review
Wow!! Food is amazing.

An excellent Michelin star restaurant. Situated on the harbour front, you can watch the boats while you dine. There is an open air dining area as well as inside. Inside, the atmosphere and decor is warm and even opulent, a distinct alternative to the open air water's edge terrace. (And I stress "water's edge".) The food and wine are excellent, as you would expect. Waiting staff, although the title doesn't do them justice, are most helpful and informative. They describe each plate of food in detail so that you know exactly what the chef has created. Delightful !!! I've been twice and look forward to a return visit.

I’ve been traveling to Corsica for years, and a stop at Boccafine in Nonza is a must for me. For sure one of the best restaurant on the island. The food is awesome and I’m always impressed by the young kitchen team – the way they put together such an innovative menu on a small and incroyable card. Fantastique. The atmosphere makes it even better, Caro and the staff make you feel completely at home, as if you’re part of the family, this by sitting right on the most beautiful place of the village, perfect to enjoy a long, relaxed meal. And Nonza itself is absolutely worth the trip – one of the most charming villages on Corsica. But even if it was just for this resto, the detour would be worth it.

Parc Galea is an intriguing medium-sized museum set in a beautiful garden in Corsica. This unique park offers a captivating concept where visitors can walk through the garden and learn about the history, music, films, and people of Corsica. Despite being primarily in French, non-French speakers can still appreciate parts of the park, although their overall experience may be somewhat limited.
Lovely afternoon here, much more to it than expected. Great photo oops with the spectacular plants and interesting museum installations. We all loved the barefoot trail too.

Sadly all the exhibitions are in french only, but google translate can help you. Covers a wide field of topics and a lot of cacti, like an awesome lot

Great medium sized museum, parc, garden. The concept of this parc is interesting; you walk through a garden occupied by all the major plants of Corsica, with rooms filled with facts on the people, its intriguing history, music, films, etc. We enjoyed it very much. It took us 2 h. Even if it was a little rainy. For our two daughters the "nude" foot path was very enjoyable, running, feeling - fun. Most of all i liked the the way this parc stepped away from regular musea, walking in a parc that teases the visitor to look right and left is great.

Beautiful place to spend few hours, both for adults and kids. Very interesting display of Corsican history, impressive cactus all around and a funny "bare foot" track for kids where my daughter enjoyed very much. Just missing (at least at the time of my visit, early September) some solution to get a drink....it can be very hot and if you don't have water with you it can be not so funny, even a simple vending machine would do.
Enrico P — Google review
Nice park which explains the history, flora and fauna of Corsica. Unfortunately all animals are just shown via pictures and all signs and explanations are only in French. The park has a strong focus on cactus. For my children the barefoot path has been the highlight.

However, caution must be exercised when entering the water as it is filled with large boulders that pose a risk of slipping and injuring one's knee.

We loved the experience and the staff and food were so good we dinned here twice while staying in Erbalunga. Great local produce in the cooking, and as the place is primarliy an outlet for local food and wine, we were able to take home a few reminders of the quality of that local produce.

The pizzas were delicious! The toppings were fantastic, but I would like to highlight the dough... it was one of the best things about the pizza. Highly recommended!
Martin K — Google review
This is the first time in my life I return a pizza because of how bad it tastes. The dish did not taste anything close from a pizza and tomato sauce was far too soaked with weird spices which definitely do not belong to any pizza. What’s even worse is the chef’s attitude; he started arguing with me because he could not accept a polite critique. Besides this the atmosphere is decent and service is good. A 4.4 rating is very misguiding. Highly suggest to avoid this place.

Plage de Tamarone is a hidden gem along the stunning Sentier des Douaniers, the 12-mile Customs Trail that winds through northern Cap Corse. This serene beach boasts soft, latte-colored sand and is surrounded by lush foliage and rugged granite formations typical of the region. Even during peak summer months, it maintains a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for those seeking relaxation away from crowded shores.
One of my favorite beaches. The water is beautiful and you can observe a very dense sea life. We got to see so many creatures. The main beach nevertheless gets quite crowded So I highly recommend d simply walking a couple of minutes and find a nice little place to stop.
Emma B — Google review
After the recent storm on July 15, the beach turned into a very unpleasant place with LOTS of algae that noone is cleaning or moving to the side. Meters of algae along all beach line which is stuck into heavy smelly piles with dead medusa. You will have to walk through this mess for 5-7 meters before entering clear water and often you get stuck. We couldn’t stay and left. It’s such a disappointment. We have been coming to this beach every year since 2016.

The beach is really dirty. There's dead seaweed all over the beach (which is a mix of pebbly and sandy) and then there's seaweed in the water. Once you get past it it's quite nice. The water gets deep gradually and the waves are quite large but it's not the nicest beach I've been to

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful experience dining at U Culombu. We shared a plate of grilled fish with dorade, sardines, loup, and shrimp, which was served with a slightly spicy oil on the side and fries and salad. We were blown away by the quality and freshness. The staff was extremely attentive, helpful, and friendly. Finally, the atmosphere was quite magical, dining under grape vines to the sound of jazzy tunes. We loved it and highly recommend it—most underrated place in Macinaggio.

The food was ok but the overall experience was not super great. It is a cash only place with handwritten receipts (!), which makes it hard to verify charges, and the bill is on the expensive side for Macinaggio. We had errors on the receipt. The staff is very friendly, almost overly so. As a customer, I left with a bad feeling despite enjoying the food. Did we fall in a tourist trap?

Food was delicious and the waitress was very kind and attentive. The outdoor terrace is amazing. Only pity we could not pay by card and it was not clear from the beginning. I would definitely recommend it!

oh my, I was so afraid that due to the language barrier I accidentally ordered a bottle of wine, a glass of which costs PLN 16. It turned out that the Boss took care of me and the entire bottle of this good wine cost PLN 16. Grilled sea bream - the best, fries - top shelf. The service - first class - and every person without exception - including the chef who is interested in customer satisfaction. I got here by accident after being thrown out of a motorcycle corner, but I will gladly come back to Corsica to visit this place. Thank you

Delicious food. Friendly attentive staff who spoke better English than our efforts at French. Popular. Take cash. No cards accepted.

👌 Lifetime food, good staff, highly recommended!

Shockingly bland food, sort of thing you would come across in a cheesy pub in Trafalgar square....tried to have some moules but they were covered in curdled cream ...eeek :)) good wine though

Because of the hosts' unprofessional and arrogant behavior, I will never visit this restaurant again. Go somewhere else to eat.

Pizza restaurant
A Casetta is known for its exceptional pizzas and burgers, which are made even more delightful by the use of wood oven-baked bread. The unique cooking method adds a special touch to their dishes, resulting in a truly delicious experience. Although seating might be limited, opting for takeout is a convenient alternative. While waiting for your order, you can explore the charming town it is located in as it is well worth the visit.
Excellent, Italian quality pizza in tiny pizzeria. Take away, but also eat in, there are three or four tables and you can even reserve. Besides the excellent quality, the service is friendly and price is unbeatable. We ate here twice during our stay in Erbalunga, because the pizza was just SO good!

Visiting Corsica, and found this to be the best pizza place. Great quality and very fair prices. I tried 3 pizzas and I would rank them in the following order - Salami Piquante (best), Parmigiana (very good) & Bolognaise (good). Limited seating. You can park nearby for free. Tried the tiramisu too but it wasn't as good as I expected.

Got a takeout pizza. Service was very friendly and quick. You can watch them make the pizza right in front of you so very fresh. We got the tuna pizza, mozzarella sticks, and the hazelnut ice cream. The tuna pizza was not for us and we didn’t enjoy it but the mozzarella sticks and ice cream were great. I would go back to try another pizza because the place seems great, we may have just picked a pizza flavour that wasn’t for us.

Definitely the best pizza in town. I just ordered a Napolitana. Came quickly maybe a bit burnt on the side but very good and at €12 very reasonable.

(Translated by Google) The food was delicious, and we've been there twice. The pizzas are ready super quickly, but the burger is a pizza, but it's tasty too. (Original) Das Essen war leckerschmecker und wir waren schon 2 mal dort. Pizzen sau schnell fertig, aber der Burger ist eine Pizza, schmeckt aber auch.
