Su Giudeu Beach, also known as Spiaggia di Su Giudeu, is a popular spot located on the south coast of Sardinia near Chia. It is renowned for its fine golden sand, picturesque sand dunes, and a lagoon where pink flamingoes reside. The beach is just 1 kilometer south of Chia beach and features several reefs that make it ideal for scuba diving.
There’s a bit of a walking distance from the parking spaces but it’s definitely worth it. This one is very well equipped with plenty of bars and sunbeds for rent. I walked through the entire beach and figured out that the last two or three bars are the best. So don’t get fooled by the first one you see when you arrive as some of them don’t offer sunbeds. I give 9/10 to this beautiful venue 🫴

One of the best beach in all Sardinia, close to the Chia on the south... You can come there by car, motorcycle and bus number 129 from Cagliari, Pula and all nearby places... There you can see beautiful gold colour of sand and very clear water like you are in the pool... So much free places to put your towel and ambrella, but because it's always little windy you must secure your umbrella 😀... Also there is place where you can rent beach equipment and if you are hungry or thirsty you can do it there... Price is very correct for this place.... I was there so much times and always it's so beautiful and you can relax... At back of the beach there is little lake with Flamingos... All recommendations for visit and take some nice pictures and videos if you are in south Sardinia

Not only the best beach in Sardinia, it is also among the finest beaches in the world that I have visited. It is a beach with incredibly fine sand. The water is crystal clear and the visibility under water is several meters. Bring a pair of goggles or swimming goggles and watch for fish. There is a small island that you can have fun swimming out to. You can walk almost the whole way, you have to swim the last few meters. It is often windy which is usually nice but if you have an umbrella with you it must be anchored well. Drive past everything and onto a gravel road and you will come to a large parking lot with the shortest walking distance.
Kim J — Google review
The Best Beach we have been during our stay in south Sardinia. Crystal Clear water, the water was almost non waivy and you can walk to the little island without the water getting deep. Absolutely stunning.

Wonderful, amazing beach , white sand but Wendy in the afternoon. Some little fiches to see under Su Giudeu!
CHIP T — Google review
Beautiful beach with crystal clear water and fish! it’s huge so it doesn’t get crowded. We liked the stretch across the small island. Absolutely worth it.
Alice B — Google review
This is a beautiful and underrated beach. Everyone seems to want to go to Tuerada but for me that beach is Insta overrated!! This beach has lots of room and isn’t overly crowded. Parking is €5 for the day and there are beach bars and a place to rent water sports equipment. Unsure of bed prices as never rented one 🤷🏻‍♂️

A good beach club with food, drinks, music and boat rentals. Nice selection of sandwiches (you can press), piadina and bowls. A great spot on the beach with parking a few minutes walking distance. We paid 60€ for four beds and an umbrella. It’s too bad they don’t have showers or bathrooms .. in terms of the beach; beautiful, clean, green-ish water since it’s a sandy beach.
Nadia S — Google review
Great clean water and a sandy beach. However nothing special! Access: you need to drive and park at the car park (the car Park is 7 euros per day)and walk 5 min to reach the seaside. The walking route is fine for adults but not suitable for pushchairs with babies. Umbrella with 2 beds in the front row 50 euros. The bar is only good for snacks and drinks (no proper food here). And if you need the toilet, that's too bad. You need to walk to the car park and use Portalloo (not great) To sum it up: The place is not ideal for me and I think not ideal for anyone with small babies. And for people who want everything nearby (drink hotels etc), this is not a great place and you are wasting your time and money.
Ismet S — Google review
30 euro for two sun beds not on the first row(40 euros for the front row) in the first week of September. Beautiful clean water, not deep, with white sand beach. 6 euro a day parking very close by. Bar okay, food and drinks a bit expensive.
Angela B — Google review
Stunning location, very beautiful setting. Too bad that by 2 p.m. in June, half the menu was already unavailable, and instead of apologizing, they responded rudely. This is what happens when you live off the reputation of a paradise.
DAVID M — Google review
One day a week, currently on Saturday, there is an aperitif with music and a DJ, it is not much ... But given the little or nonexistent nightlife in the area we must applaud. For the rest everything is impeccable, the sea in front is the clearest in the whole area.

Outdoor Activities
Spiaggia di Cala Cipolla, also known as Cala Cipolla beach, is a hidden gem nestled in the picturesque Chia Bay in southern Sardinia. This unspoiled swimming beach boasts a stunning backdrop of large rocks and shrub-covered dunes. The 150-meter stretch of fine white sand is surrounded by dense Mediterranean vegetation, including pine and juniper trees that provide shelter from the sun's rays.
Beautiful beach! Clear water, nice sand. If you go a little bit further from the wntrancentrance you will find rocky part of the beach. Perfect for snorkeling and watching underwater life. Nearby you will find convenient parking lot.

Beautiful bay. Lovely white/yellow sand, just behind the pine trees, not too crowded. Always a spot available, even in peak season. No restrooms or bar. Sunbeds for rent. Beautiful surroundings. The beach is an 5-7 minute walk from the parking lot.
John A — Google review
Beautiful beach. Parking price 8€ When you leave the parking lot, you have to go straight and walk for about 10 minutes to get to the beach. The water is very blue. Be careful, it gets crowded quickly. To the right of the beach, there is a pool with rocks where you can watch the fish.

Campana Dune Beach is a renowned destination with its fine white sand and clear waters. The beach offers various amenities such as boardwalks, snack bars, parasols, and sunbed rentals. Visitors can enjoy the gentle slope of the central Campana Beach into the clear water, while also having access to bars offering sunbeds, windsurfing, and kayak rentals. Su Giudeu to the west boasts wide soft sands and bar concessions lost in its vast expanse.
Great place. Not so crowded as the other beaches arround. Very close to it are some small, secluded beaches with cristal clear water.

Beautiful beach. Clean water. Easy access from parking. Shallow water is good for kids. WC available at parking.
Leonid K — Google review
In fact there are 3 beaches here, separated by a small promontory, which creates the Chia beach region. Though popular with locals and tourists alike, these white sand, crystal clear waters beaches are a jewel in the area. It is common for the locals to spend all day here, especially on Sundays. They usually bring their meal, but you don't need to as the beaches are well equipped with facilities like bars, food outlets at very reasonable prices (I've seen Panini with chicken cutlet for €6 and beer for €3), and hot showers for 50 cents. I paid €5 for all day parking, which is a good price and also a short walk from the beach. If you're looking for a great dinner, check out my review of "Mirage" restaurant, a mouth-watering dining experience in the neighborhood.

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Chia, Ristorante - Lounge Bar - Club Nautico Chia offers a delightful escape for those seeking a peaceful dining experience. This charming one-level stone building is enveloped by beautifully manicured grounds, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both tranquil and welcoming. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with warmth and can enjoy outdoor seating while soaking up the picturesque views.
Holidaying in south west Sardinia from the U.K. in mid June 2022, we visited this restaurant for lunch. It is set in Chia, and the restaurant building is one level stone building, surrounded by beautifully manicured grounds. It is very tranquil here. There is parking at the venue and as you walk towards the restaurant, you pass the venue's shop. We were warmly greeted and given a table outside. We opted for a light lunch as we got there mid afternoon and were set for an early dinner elsewhere. We had a nice assortment of local breads to start, followed by deep fried assortment of seafood with french fries - it tasted beautiful. We then had some nice gelato from their wide selection. Awesome. The views you look out onto from the restaurant are beautiful - green lawns, bamboo plants and lovely hills. A big thank you to Monica for looking after us - exquisite table service. We will definitely return for a full menu experience. I strongly recommend this restaurant - clean, atmosphere, great food, brilliant service and fabulous views..
Paul S — Google review
Nice place, great location and for a quick lunch absolutely ok. And you can directly access the beach!
Chris — Google review
The ambience is nice, it’s tranquil with a wonderful music playlist. The appetizers were not incredibly tasty, unfortunately. We really enjoyed the mussels - would certainly recommend those! Most other dishes were bland or tasted super fishy. The entree was disappointing. Really tough tuna, flavorless squid, and the fish had so many bones in it, it was impossible to enjoy. The service was attentive when we first arrived and were one of few tables; but we waited quite a time between our appetizer and entree. I think you can find better places around here.
Zane S — Google review
Very kind Flash provided us with some very nice evenings and first class service at this place. Dining for the finest with fresh fish and excellent wine! Thanks a lot
Hannes W — Google review
Tranquility and kindness. The place is cool, isolated, quiet. The quality is good without aiming for exclusivity, which is only good. Normal prices. In short, a place where it is pleasant to spend an evening.
Agostino B — Google review
There’s nothing to say except embarrassing — from the service, to the quality of the cocktails, to the supermarket olives served as snacks. A pretentious and wasted venue, a real shame.
DAVID M — Google review
Lovely lunch at Club Nautico for nine of us. We had fresh fish, pizza, salads and pasta dishes - all fresh and delicious. Very calm and relaxing experience and lovely staff. The food took its time but was worth waiting for. We will return!
Lisa F — Google review
Convenient location, walkable from nearby hotels. Really good service when we were one of few tables, very attentive and friendly, then faded. We ordered the appetizer sampler and fish sampler to share, so we had a good cross section of the menu. The mussels were spicy and delicious, though they were the only interesting part of the meal. VERY fishy taste with some of the other items, and the rest was mediocre. Atmosphere could be really great with some adjustments to lighting.

Sa Colonia Beach is truly a gem in the south of Italy, offering an idyllic escape for beach lovers. With its soft, golden sands and crystal-clear waters, it’s no wonder visitors rave about its beauty. The beach is generally calm and not overly crowded, making it perfect for relaxation or a leisurely stroll along the shore. Getting to Sa Colonia Beach is convenient with hourly bus services from Cagliari's central depot; just be mindful of the schedule!
For those who go by bus, get off at the Chia Tabacchi bar stop and after that the beach is not far on foot. Enjoyment is right, there is no mistake. They also have a large parking for those who come by car.
Dusan M — Google review
Such a beautiful beach but also convenient, the parking lot is literally on the beach. I admit that I avoid coming here in the peak months because it does get crowded. Very crowded. However, avoiding it, you have the beach and the view of Spanish tower all to yourself, and walk on the sand without any disturbance (like the photo and video)
Ayaka — Google review
One of the best beaches with a bit a view. Parking is 8€ for a whole day, 0,50 cent to use a bathroom
Stas P — Google review
Paradise! There is parking place near the beach that cost 8 euro a day and toilet with shower at the parking space. Beach is just stunning with beautiful sand and crystal clear sea. There is a lot of free place. Not really crowded. There is also a beach bar (stabilimento). 2 beds and umbrellone costs 50 euro. Everything in stabilimento looks organised. Recommended!
Ljiljana K — Google review
The parking next to Luna supermarket is free. From there you need to walk around 10 minutes to the beach. The beach is nice, not too crowded and there were nice waves to play in. It was quite windy and many umbrellas were praying for their lives.
Ada C — Google review
Awesome golden fine sand descends slowly into the blue sea. Great for families, the water temperature feels higher than on other steeper beaches. Parking costs 8€ per day you can only book full days. Cheaper prices if you arrive after 16:00/4 pm

The best part of my entire trip to the south of Italy!!! What a beauty this beach is!!!! The water is SPECTACULAR!!!! Lovely and calm too! The beach has beautiful, soft sand. Here is some practical info 1. Getting there - there are several busses from the central bus depot that go every hour. Remember there are buses only every hour so if you miss it, you have to wait long time! The ticket is about 3.50 euro from Cagliari. Bus timings are available on the movit app. Or google maps 2. If you want to drive there isnis possible to rent a car or a taxi. There is a large parking area 3. There is no food on the beach. Only drinks. You can carry your own food or eat just a little before the beach where there is a lovely little restaurant. 4. There are toilets and changing rooms in the parking lot which are very clean. Even the drink kiosks have toilets and changing rooms which are super nice. 5. To return, the buses stop quite early in the evening so pls check the timings. Alternatively you can book a taxi from Cagliari to take you back I really liked this chilled out beach. It was touristy but not in a loud or expensive way. There was a relaxed homely vibe to it which i loves It’s great for kids too as there is plenty of space and it’s very safe. There are small places for children to play too If you are a big group there are nets for volleyball You can rent beach umbrellas here and beds. I don’t know what they cost because I didn’t use them!! Don’t have second thoughts! Go to this beach!

Spiaggia di Su Portu is a hidden gem near Cagliari that's simply breathtaking. Pictures don't do justice to its pristine beauty. Accessible by bus, it's perfect for those without a car. With its stunning beauty, calm atmosphere, and nearby amenities like a bar, it offers one of the best beach experiences in Sardinia. If you're in Cagliari, this beach is not to be missed!

The ground is very rough and the sea doesn't look too clear. Exellent to swim. In a matter of 10 foot in the water gets so deep, you can't reach the bottom with your feet. I'll not be back

Cute bar for coffee and ice cream. The beach is fine but a lot of sea grass. We were in June, it was a bit windy and lots of rocks inside, so sea shoes are advised. The sea was not so clear but the visibility was cca 1.5 metres so you can snorkel a bit and see some fish and octopuses, yet not a lot.

What a gem of a beach close to Cagliari. I have to say that pictures fade to describe how beautiful and pristine the place is. Chia, also known as Baia di Chia, is a coastal area and village in southern Sardinia, specifically in the municipality of Domus de Maria. It is home to Su Giudeo beach, a family-friendly destination with its expansive sandy shore and clear turquoise waters reminiscent of the Caribbean. Cala del Morto, also known as "Sa Spiaggedda," earned the name "The Bay of the Dead Man" after a tragic event in the 1950s. Despite its somber history, this beach is considered one of Chia's treasures. Accessible via a 10-minute rocky path behind Monte Cogoni's hill, it boasts fine golden sand and stunning pink granite rocks surrounded by fragrant Mediterranean pines and junipers.
Even on a partial cloudy day it's very beautiful and the water was clear. Just a short hike from the surrounding beaches but definitely worth it. Not many people. There were quite some waves when I came, so can't tell if it's a good spot to do snorkeling
Erik G — Google review
It's a small hidden gem, exactly as seen in pictures (no edits) and we had a great time here. There's different fish to look at if you have goggles and the underwater rocks grow some interesting algae. If you pay attention you'll find crabs climbing around the place but not really in the water. Overall nice, peaceful experience. Just keep in mind that this is a free "unofficial" mini beach in the sense that there's no human-built facilities nor lifeguards so be careful and watch your kids at all times since you don't know when currents can pick up
Francesca M — Google review

Spiaggia di Monte Cogoni is a beautiful beach located near Torre Chia, close to Sa Colonia. In the past, it served as a natural harbor and facilitated the development of emporiums due to its wide lagoon. The beach offers both free and equipped areas with rental options for sunbeds, umbrellas, canoes, and pedal boats.
Stunning beach, lots of room on the sand, crystal clear water and very clean. Short walk to nearby coves too. Flamingos in the lagoon were an added bonus!
Michelle R — Google review
Beautiful beach, nice bar with cheap fast food and most important - a pond with plenty of flamingos.

Beautiful beach! Not very crowded. Easy access from Baia Chia Resort. Beautiful sunrise views. You can see the fish in the water! Jellyfish too so be careful. Take snorkeling equipment if you have some.

Just a beautiful beach which feels like a true beach.

Amazing beach, definitely worth visiting!

Excellent beach. Everyone pays and hustles to find space for a towel at Tuerredda but this one has clear water and a more relaxing atmosphere just 10mins away. Luna Market is where most park for free and walk 8mins down to the beach. The market has cold drinks and a great butcher section along with other nick nacks.

Nestled in the heart of nature, Campground Torre Chia offers a delightful camping experience that caters to families, couples, and groups alike. With its proximity to stunning beaches like Su Giudeu and Su Portu, you can easily stroll to these picturesque spots within minutes. The campground features essential amenities such as an eatery, a market for your convenience, laundry facilities, and paid showers—though many find the outdoor showers refreshing enough!
Very nice place, we had everything we needed and really fell in love with this place!
Callon R — Google review
Nice and simple campsite, close to two nice beaches, some places with tree shade, some without. Restaurant was fully booked for two days in advance, sanitary rooms okay not too good, cleanliness is an issue and you need a token for shower. Good news: no music or animation at night!
David S — Google review
Warm-hearted people—including all the staff. And a little Paradiso. 🫒🧘🏽‍♀️🌈
Sascha H — Google review
I don't understand bad reviews here. This campground is amazing, clean, with a lot of shadow. First beach only 2 min away and one amazing beach aprox 6min on foot. No loud noise as somebody mentioned here and there was even toilet paper (this is not very common for italy). Perfect experience, will come back if ever again in Sardegna.
Mateja K — Google review
Very nice camp in the middle of nature, but you have to be quite lucky to get a place with shade. Nice toilets. Hot water is for a fee, but you don't even need it, because outdoor showers are just ok. Lots of beautiful dream beaches nearby. It can be a bit loud on the weekends, but all in all it is the right place for camping.
Primoz B — Google review
Need tokens which are 0.50 Euro each to use the shower which lasts 2 and a half minutes and is very hot. Plenty of loud children running by your tent at midnight as well. Close to the beach which is nice but overall facilities and camp condition were lacklustre.
A A — Google review
Reasons for only two stars: - crowded and loud at night - no privacy, no trees - warm shower cost extra 50 cents (coins at the reception) - camping beach is close but very small and not clean - attention!!! They charge you 9 Euro a day extra beach fee which you are not informed about before Positive: - very friendly staff - very good restaurant - close to a supermarket (10 min walk) - beautiful beach five minuets car drive away It is ok for one maybe two or three nights.
Nika P — Google review
Traditional camping, it provides the classic services. Beautiful people and a lot of tranquility. It has direct access to Su Portu beach, through a small pine forest. Inside there is a bar restaurant. The pitches are shaded for the most part. Very pleasant and inexpensive.

Nestled in the charming Piazza Ulivi, S' antigu Cunventu Ristorante Pizzeria Bar Chia is a delightful gem that specializes in traditional wood-fired pizzas crafted from the freshest ingredients. While it may be slightly off the beaten path, this hidden treasure is well worth seeking out for its delicious offerings. Guests rave about the piping hot pizzas and home-cooked flavors that evoke a sense of nostalgia.
We had a lovely meal here. It's a little out of the way but totally worth a visit. Nice food, super friendly service, good atmosphere. Plenty of locals at the bar which is always a good sign. Will be back.

Edit: Fake Profile!??! Get out of Chia and LOOK AT YOUR REVIEWS!!!!🤣🤣🤣! Let's see how they experience your hole!!! Please AVOID this tourist trap! At your expenses! In fact, it's an overly expensive tourist Trap! I'm not even sure the owner is a local owner (it reminds me of the Latin quarter in Paris where the NON local owner of a bar kicked me out for consuming a 9 euros water battle and nothing else). These people should never be encouraged to be in the business, they are trying to maximise their profit in return for ridiculously over priced low quality food, small portions, rude waiters that don't know the meaning of being professional and what about the waiting time!?? Don't fall in their trap!!! Don't encourage them! Don't ever come back! Let them to ... mmmmmh I can't say. Just AVOID THIS TOURIST TRAP!

This restaurant is what you typically dream about...food tastes like it is home made and prices are like from pre Covid era, however the most important is the service which is really uniquily sincere, kind and very patient thanks to Carlo and the Sardega pizza is one of a kind.
Vladimir I — Google review
We were greeted by the kindest, most knowledgeable man who was incredibly accomodating and recommended dishes when we asked. The food was incredible also and it arrived relatively fast! There is plenty of free parking at front and they also do pizza takeaway at night.
Krisztián K — Google review
I only had a pizza, so i don't know anything about other services they might offer. All I can say despite the location which is quite hidden , pizza was very good, and also it has been served piping hot... service is not really fast, but it worth waiting. They have also allowed me to bring my dog with me So if you are here in Chia on holiday, you should definitely try it.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Sardinia, Ristorante Sa' Colonia is a true culinary treasure that specializes in fresh seafood. While visiting during the bustling high season can be challenging for locals, this charming eatery consistently rises to the occasion, providing an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is serene and inviting, making it a perfect spot to unwind while savoring delectable dishes like their renowned spaghetti allo scoglio, brimming with local seafood delights.
Best restaurants I've been in a very long time, food was out of this world and the setting and atmosphere is so peaceful, really beautiful place with top class fresh fish and seafood. Can easily compete with the best restaurants in Sardinia. Anyone in these reviews who says otherwise simply doesn't understand how fresh fish is priced per grams in restaurants, and expect to pay 5 euros for a whole fish when the price is per grams :)
Antonella C — Google review
42 Euro would be ok but 84.5 Euro are too much: Atmosphere + service are good. The challenge was the gram count of the plate with mixed grilled fish.. 49 Euro for 750 grams for one person was not indicated on the menu. We expected 200 to 300 grams and will clarify next time to be sure. In addition, the 49 Euro only comprise only the fish without any any side dish for one person. In addition the salomon pasta (15 Euro) as well as the caprese (12 Euro) were good. The price was quite high for us but ok. Now let us play the perfection game: Substract one star for every challenging point, which we like to play in northern Europe to improve service quality: 1) Improve transparency about how many grams of fish will be served, if the price depends on the gram. My wife ordered a plate with mixed grilled fish and expected a normal portion for one person. Instead, she got beside a whole fish another small fish as well as a prawn with no side dish. 2) Make clear wish fish will be served on the mixed fish plate 3) Offer a combination of fish + side dish, which is typical innmany countries As I pointed out, the experience was overall good but the price could be more human, if the portions of grilled fish are adjusted to a normal level (/gram count) and the potentially served portion level (grams) is indicated on the menu. Thanks a lot for the service answer atmosphere.

We stopped by for an impromptu lunch as we were passing. Carlo provided excellent service & spoke great English. The food was excellent, he made some great recommendations. I see some negative reviews on here but they are from a long time ago & we would highly recommend.

A hidden gem. The food was absolutely delicious.. possibly our favourite in Sardinia! Seafood spaghetti in particular was spectacular. There weren't many other customers at 7:30 so we had the beautiful garden nearly all to ourselves. Lovely cool garden seating. Friendly server spoke English. Highly recommended for really good seafood!

This restaurant is a total recommendation for everyone staying in Chia who loves delicious food, especially well prepared seafood. We had a perfect evening with awesome food, drinks and the service is more than friendly. And if it’s of importance, the value for price ratio is also very good. Five stars well deserved!
Linda — Google review
In other places I would have rated lower but in this area you don’t have many choices. So the staff where helpful. Menu typical Sardinian. They have a pizza oven which is great. Interior out of date. Inside but open walls. Parking in street. WC. Wheelchair friendly. Fairly priced menu.
Jon B — Google review
We passed by this place and ate the following (pls see the pics + bread but i will come to the bread at the end). Before we ordered our food, we asked if there is grilled fish, lady informed us that there is no grilled one piece fish but they have grilled sea platter, 100 gram costs 5 euros. Waitress informed us about that fish and some kind of mixture of sea animals are part of this 100gr/ 5 euro option. I asked if they can only mix the fish they have, and clearly stated 300-400 grams, depending on what they have. When the food arrived, waitress apologized and told me that “this is 500 grams sorry”, i said no problem and that was it. That fish you see is cooked with a lot of salt, obviously a speciality here. I myself dont mind the salty fish but it was almost inedible, just too much salt, cannot be removed from the meat of the fish (was terrible) also, i could not understand why she chose a weight of ~500 grams, single fish… was not this supposed to be a platter? She should have ASKED if 500 gram is ok or not! When i was trying to order, i was told that one piece grilled fish (grilled fish options in the menu) were not available, and that is why she suggested and we ordered 300-400 grams mixed fish which turned out to be 500 grams salted one piece sea bass. Once the food was finished we asked the lady if she can bring the tiramisu we ordered but she said she forgot (it looked like she was playing a game with her phone :) which is not a problem and immediately brought it. She asked then how the food was. When we told her that the food was salty, she informed us via translator that this is a normal cooking for this region (or this particular order/ fish). I wish we knew about this salt thing… I think as a tourist, i would not go there because we had the feeling that we were given what we clearly did NOT (not half a kg fish) order. There are two cute dogs there though. Thus, too expensive and bad feelings. We now read the comments of the owner, we had just another surprise. Decide yourself. Regarding the bread thing, look at the reciept, we paid 54 euro and when we were first seated, we were given a basket of bread, just bread. For a 55 euro total bill, would not it be feasible to serve your customers just anything with that bread? A couple of tomato or whatever is locally available and cheap, i even had to ask for olive oil such that i can make the bread softer. Overall, just too expensive for this quality. A note to the owner: we recommend you do not attack us as it was the case for some other customers. I hope what we write will really be heard… thanks.

I was reading the feedbacks and I should say - if you are coming in the high season in Sardegna, you should really think that its tough for locals to cope with the flow. BUT - they do their best all the time. And trust me - I saw a lot, and way I was treated as coming alone, foreigner, on Sunday off the season - it’s 5 or 6 stars. Great food - I took spaghetti allo scoglio(where there were at least 5-6 types of locals creature :) and then I said - hmmm, want smth to eat but really not over eat. And Andrea was thinking and brought me best mix of seafood. Appreciated. Please don’t complain that you have to wait. It’s not London, Manchester, or Manhattan… it’s THE ISLAND with beautiful beaches. And people who host us. Best they can, coping with seasons inflow. Respect locals! Supper them and you get best out of sea, land and people.

Sheltered beach popular for snorkeling in clear water, with food trucks at a hillside parking lot.
It was a bit gusty but it actually helped us getting burn out under the sun. The beach was really good and had enough space to set up our tent. There’s also a car park which costst €6. You can avoid paying for the parking by risking your car getting hit on the road side ;). No amenities apart from a small one with some snacks.

Nice sand art but quite some sea weed.
Bram D — Google review
We paid 6euros for parking across the road. The sand was poor quality and uncomfortable to lie on. Very windy which meant we didn't stay long. The sea was clean and nice to swim in
Rebecca — Google review
Ended up here as the beach in Tuerredda was full (and you need an online reservation nowadays). But this one was nicer as I don’t like crowded beaches, especially in these Covid times. Water is crystal clear but as the beach isn’t cleaned you will find dried sea weed mixed with the white sand. Parking is just next to it (5 Euro per car) and there’s a small mini bus that offers food and drinks.

My favorite beach in the Chía area. Beautiful water and not nearly as many people as some of the other beaches close by
Charles B — Google review
Incredible beach. Best of the south cost so far. Was full of seaweed most days and when it cleared 10/10. Calm, quiet, protected and best water. No services and some parts of the beach are smelly from stagnant water nearby. Go to the rocks on the far end of the beach. If you want non-commercial, this is for you
Jonathan L — Google review
Wonderful unspoiled beach with super clear and calm waters. Not many people in the mid of September. There is a gree car park but no other facilities. A food truck parks on the top of the hill, where you can buy drinks and food. You can snorkel close to the rocks, there are so many different types of fish and it is beautiful. From the hills around you can hear the sound of the bells hanging from the goats' necks... so so peaceful. You can also walk around the rocks, there are a few pathways. There is some smell due to the presence of some backwater, but the beauty of the scenery is the main protagonist here.

Beaches
Porto Larboi is an exquisite and cost-free cove that entices visitors with its captivating blend of sandy shores and tiny pebbles. The crystal-clear waters are a sight to behold, especially during the enchanting morning hours. Although it may be small in size, this hidden gem offers tranquility and seclusion, as it is only accessible to a privileged few due to limited parking spaces along the road. This marvelous destination remains pleasantly unaffected by strong winds such as the mistral.
(Translated by Google) I have been going to this beach since I was a child (I'm talking about the mid-60s), then we camped in a harlequin-style colored wooden hut, which was on the other side of the road, on relatives' land. There were no tourists, just a family from Carbonia and a French one who camped every year with caravans in the dirt area near the beach (it was allowed then), and a few small people from Cagliari who showed up on the weekends in August. We had a wooden boat moored on the beach and every day we went fishing with nets and pots. Other times. There was also a well of fresh water, not drinkable, in which many swimmers put their watermelons to cool 😁 subsequently covered, to avoid vandalization and pollution. The beach is made of coarse, slightly earthy sand, pebbles, rocks and dry seagrass, the water is clear and the seabed is very interesting to explore by snorkelling. Like the nearby beach of Campionna, however, it is not a beach for everyone, not respecting many tourist stereotypes of today (such as Tuerredda or Portu Tramatzu, for example), in fact even in August, although it is certainly not deserted, it is never excessively crowded (and for me it's better that way!). An interesting note is that when the mistral blows this is the only beach on the entire surrounding coast that is quite sheltered. Let's be clear, some umbrellas fly anyway, but certainly not like on the other surrounding beaches... 😉

Even on a weekday, it was surprisingly crowded. Parking is only available along the roadside. The beach is very rocky, and there are lots of algae in the water but hardly any fish – unfortunately not suitable for snorkeling. Okay for a short stop, but not a highlight.

There are no people here for a reason: lots of algae. I don’t think it’s possible to swim because it gets in your eyes and mouth.

The beach has medium-grained sand, similar to rice grains, and the seabed is also coarser, with various lithologies, including pure quartzite, serpentine, and mica intrusions, as well as schists. The beach varies in depth from five to six meters in the central section to only two to three meters on the sides, so it can only accommodate a limited number of people, but it's never crowded. There are free parking spaces on the roadside, just a two-minute walk from the beach. The water is clear and shallow for at least ten meters, making it a wonderful place to sunbathe. Truly a gem. (Original) Caletta semplicemente meravigliosa. Sono presenti spazi gratuiti per parcheggiare l'auto a bordo strada a soli due minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia. Pizza restaurant
Nestled in the charming village of Duomo di Maria, Niko's Pizzeria di Pasquale offers an authentic Italian dining experience that captures the essence of southern Sardinia. With a delightful atmosphere and friendly service, this pizzeria is renowned for its delicious pizzas featuring a perfectly thin crust. Guests rave about the fresh ingredients and unique toppings, such as aubergine and swordfish, making each bite a true culinary delight.
Amazing experience. This is one of the best Pizza in southern Sardinia. It’s such a great moment to sit on a piazza in the middle of a village and have a pizza. It’s hard to imagine it more Italian. And the pizzas are great. With a thin crust and baked perfect.

We had a really pleasant experience at this pizzeria! We had initially ordered a special pizza, but later realized it contained pork, which we don’t eat. We asked if it was possible to switch it for another one (the Buffalina), and we were fully prepared to pay for both. To our surprise, the staff was extremely kind and didn’t charge us for the first pizza — a gesture we truly appreciated. We ended up having the Buffalo, Buffalina, and tuna pizzas — and all of them were absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and a perfectly baked crust. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended — both for the food and the hospitality!
