Shopping mall
Shopping
Movie theater
Centro Comercial Bahía Sur is a waterfront shopping mall that offers a wide range of fashion, cosmetics, and toy stores. It also features a supermarket and fast-food outlets for convenience. The mall provides a stress-free shopping experience with a good mix of stores, including Primark, Zara, Mango, and Lefties. There is also a large Carrefour for all your grocery needs. On weekdays during siesta hours, it tends to be quieter compared to busy Saturdays.
Although San Fernando had the heaviest rain for a long time, they stayed open, and rain was coming through the ceilings in some shops. I bought a pair of beautiful leather boots from Catchalot, which would have cost a lot more in the UK and had a great time.

Don’t go there when you look foreign! They really don’t like it and they treat you very unfriendly and rude! You also will be stalked by there security to make you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome! We experienced it twice now and reported it

Great parking or next to the train station if using public transport. Good range of shops provided the items I went there to buy
Sue B — Google review
The mall is open on Sundays but the stores are not open (take note google maps)

Quite a mall and super busy. The Primark was our main target. The AC wasn't working fully in the mall hallways.
Rodd G — Google review
The shops here are nice but I had to write a review about the cleanliness of this shopping centre. The female toilets were disgusting! Every toilet (and there are about 20) was blocked up and filthy. There was no soap either. I hope the restaurant workers are not using those toilets!

Great shoping centre even has a Primark

A wide array of shops, ranging from clothes, suitcases, perfumes, vapes. A decent food court and also a cinema on site. Plenty of parking available. Very busy location.

(Translated by Google) Quite a few mosquitoes and flying bugs but a real gem in the city of San Fernando. A great discovery and very surprising. It's a shame that there are no workshops, guided tours... they have a covered area in the center that is not used and would be great even to celebrate birthdays with botany content and for the little ones to learn. Great to go with family. You make the visit yourself and the photo is completely free. Great variety of plant species and climatic zones and different geographical distributions. The pool should be cleaned… Flying bugs could perfectly well come from there…

I appreciate the historical significance and as a constitution enthusiast, I highly recommend visiting Real Teatro de las Cortes. If you attend the annual court commemoration, you can witness the September 24 representation performed by local residents for free (subject to capacity). It is a charming and well-maintained small theater, recently renovated with attentive ushers and comfortable seating.
Great band last night Antonio lizana band. Fantastic sound thanks to yours truly. ;-)

There was no way they would leave the windows and doors open. Unbearable!!!! This isn't my first time at this theater (in my city), so I think they should consider everyone's comfort. And make the necessary investment to promote the enjoyment of the audience and the work of those performing their shows. We were in the stalls area, individual seats well positioned so that the spectators in the previous rows would not be disturbed, with different heights and not anchored, so they could be moved for a better viewing of the show. The only thing that personally, they are not very comfortable for me. Good acoustics, which makes the show very enjoyable without the need for artificial amplification, which is appreciated. Of neoclassical style, to which late-baroque elements are added, its construction dates back to the mid-18th century and was due to the growth that the city suffered at that time, which made it necessary to build a new temple to replace the chapel of Santa Maria. History Museums
The Museo Naval de San Fernando is an impressive museum with a great collection, particularly its well-preserved sarcophagus from the Phoenicians. The museum offers free admission for EU citizens and showcases interesting paintings, including works by Murillo and Zurbaran. The staff are friendly and provide informative tours that cater to visitors' available time. It is a professional establishment with models and pictures on display, offering a nice experience overall.
Loved it here. The museum was built in 2016 so the facilities are great. Plenty of different things to look at. Staff also very friendly upon arrival. I have a history degree from university and studied the main periods of history on display (1400-1800) extensively so I found it fairly easy to understand despite speaking very little Spanish but I think it may require a little more detail/context for someone with less knowledge of the era.
Michael B — Google review
Great exhibits and well organised. - not a lot of English spoken and only some interpretations translated but a worthwhile visit.
Andrew G — Google review
When the guide isn't a simple guide but a passionate historian the visit becomes an experience. Ana is the real jewel of this maritime museum with her historical knowledge as well as her technical one. Albeit this is the first maritime museum in Spain it isn't the biggest or most complete so I strongly recommend you to take the guide at 10.30 and 12. And it's free!
Fab C — Google review
Far better than I expected. Good welcome, despite my poor Spanish the team really helped us get started with the audio tour and how to navigate the exhibitions. Worth a visit if you're interested in military history.

Lovely, naval museum. Air conditioned and guided tours available.
Caroline U — Google review
Hot-diggity-darn, this is place is free* - just remember that it closes at 1400! The staff was friendly and helpful, to the point that the director of the museum chased us down to tell us about the free audio guide (he has just started his tenure and served in the navy previously). The audio-guide is will get you through the museum at a steady pace and with unexpected dynamism. Very helpful since not all the descriptions in the museum have English translations. The expositions are great, covering a lot of Spanish naval history as well as the noble art of crafting model ships. Indeed, the museum has a pleasant array of models in addition to full size uniforms, guns, and tools. All in all, well worth a visit. It took us about two hours and even my friends with very little interest in history or military stuff were impressed. *You are encouraged to make a 3 Euro donation per person. In the end we decided that dropping a 20 was more appropriate.
Martynas K — Google review
The museum is excellent. The museum tour by Ana sparked my further interest due to her knowledge and enthusiasm. Additional information was provided by Toñia, a helpful museum attendant. I had recently finished reading El Asedio, by Perez Reverte, as well as the first 10 volumes of the Episodios Nacionales of Perez Galdóz— and the Museum helped bring to life these novels!

The waitresses were very kind and friendly, but it is true that since the place was not very full, in my opinion, they did take a while to bring you the drinks or the bill when you asked for it, something that did not happen with the food that everyone The order we ordered came out pretty quickly. As for the food, it was quite delicious. We ordered the 2 types of croquettes, they were very good and most importantly, they tasted pretty much like what the croquette was (the shrimp one surprised us a lot). The carabineros pate was spectacular, it's what the two of us liked the most. And the cow meatballs were also very good and the sauce was the same. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake, which was good. Recommended place to go for tapas, where we will surely repeat. (Original) Ayer, mi mujer, nuestro bebé y yo fuimos a comer.

The restaurant deco is really nice and rustic with tiles and a lot of wood. Is nice and big. Price is a bit costly but is not that bad for what you get and the location of it. This restaurant goes back to many years ago! Where they open in other location and from that little location in the south side of San Fernando they have got to the point of getting really famous for its quality food. (Translated by Google) One of the best pizza I have ever eaten. I have been there a couple of times during vacations and I have been delighted with the pizzas at this restaurant. The pasta is made by themselves (ask for the daily suggestions, because they are worth it) and the pizza dough along with the combination of ingredients makes them exquisite. For those people who find pizza "heavy" after eating it, you can try the "black dough." Without forgetting the good treatment of the waitresses who are very attentive at all times. Summary, great restaurant.

(Translated by Google) A pizzeria we like to visit from time to time, although it's a bit further away from the restaurant area on Calle Real. On this last occasion, the service was fantastic. We were two couples and had three pizzas and two bruschetta dishes, which were delicious, and we thought the dishes were quite cheap considering their size. (Translated by Google) We placed an order with some friends at home. The pizzas arrived cold, with a bad appearance, few ingredients (raw) and burnt underneath (flavored like burnt popcorn). A total disappointment. Nothing to see when they opened the place, a shame. The delivery man arrived at a different time than what we were told on the phone. He was very correct and apologized. Without a doubt a bad experience and to make matters worse with visits at home, I will not repeat it again. POMODORO Pizza Pasta Burritos is a vibrant eatery that offers a unique blend of flavors, combining classic Italian dishes with a twist. While many patrons have enjoyed their meals in the past, some recent feedback suggests that there may be inconsistencies in food quality and portion sizes. Diners have noted issues such as overcooked chicken and reheated fries, which detract from the overall experience.

Cheap food, good drinks offers on some days. The portions are small to medium size. The "aros de queso Gouda" are delicious.you have to order at the bar but food is delivered to your table.

My fork was dirty with food stuck to it and my glass had the previous user's lipstick still around the rim in multiple places. Appears the items are just sprayed with a bit of water rather than being washed properly. Food was nothing special and in terms of service you get a menu and go up to the bar to order. Wait staff bring the food out but you get your own drinks during ordering.

The Cadiz Museum is a combination of an old Franciscan convent and a modern building, housing an impressive 17th-century Spanish collection. The museum's history dates back to 1000 BC, making it one of Europe's oldest continuously inhabited cities. It has been occupied by various civilizations including the Phoenicians, Romans, and Arabs. The museum boasts a rich archaeological collection with artifacts from these ancient cultures.
Entrance is free for EU residents, including temporary residence permit cards. Although the description is mostly in English, a google lens app works just fine. Recommended to go check out the prehistoric collection of Cádiz.

Picture this: you’re standing in the heart of Cádiz’s old town, surrounded by history, and you step into a time machine disguised as a museum. The Cádiz Museum blew me away with its treasures, from eerie Phoenician sarcophagi to vibrant Baroque paintings by Zurbarán. The ground floor’s archaeology section is like a journey back to 1100 BC, with artifacts that whisper tales of ancient Cádiz as a bustling Phoenician hub. Did you know the male sarcophagus found in 1887 sparked the creation of this very museum? For just €1.50 (free for EU citizens with ID), you get access to this cultural goldmine on Plaza de Mina. Pro tip: bring a translation app, as some signs are Spanish-only. Also, check the website for current hours, as renovations might limit access to some floors. Don’t rush—give yourself at least an hour to soak it all in! What’s your favorite artifact here?

Interesting collection of sculptures and artifacts from Roman and era before. It would have been also interesting if museum could include the history of transatlantic slavery aswell.

Great experience. We went to the Hercules shop in town and bought a beautiful ring moulded from an original Roman ring. We were told that we could see the original in the museum. It’s free entry which was unusual for us! And the exhibits were gorgeous, particularly the display of jewellery and pottery.

Although the place is undergoing extensive refurbishment due to filtration & humidity, the ground floor & third floor are partially open. Ground floor exhibits some Phoenician artefacts; Roman except the big marble sculptures & some objects from the time of the Caliphates in Andalusia. None of the great Spanish masters are exposed. The third floor has a nice collection of XIX century puppets, from a famous theatre.
Sabas C — Google review
Two 5th century BC Phoenician marble sarcophagi currently in the Museo de Cádiz in Cádiz, Spain, are thought to have originated in Sidon, Lebanon. A famous set of "Tia Norica" puppet skits, once used during the annual carnival of Cádiz, Spain, are ALSO exhibited in the museum. In one example the bull is getting the better of the bullfighter. Puppet shows are popular in Cádiz around Christmas.

(Translated by Google) The visit to the castle of San Romualdo was one of our obligatory stops in San Fernando, however, after arriving there the disappointment was enormous...a fortress of Islamic origin, which could be of great tourist attraction, converted into a space restored in a disastrous way (extremely, it looks like anything but a castle), all the external walls plastered with cement mortar with which they have covered any historical vestige, it looks like an old building from the 20th century... I recommend whoever carried out the "restoration" not to touch any more monuments (When you have no idea it is best) and to the city council to reverse this horrendous restoration. Sometimes it is better to stay still and not worry about things.

First was the statue next to the emblematic Venta Vargas from its beginnings. Then the Museum that collects his life and work in a charming little square. I would have particularly liked something more allegorical, avant-garde, groundbreaking like his singing. I don't like bronze masses, but anyway, a well-deserved tribute. For many years, I had desired to visit this renowned hub of flamenco art and finally got the opportunity. It exceeded all my expectations in terms of ambiance, but what pleasantly surprised me was the exceptional quality of the food. Each dish was delectable, made with fresh ingredients and of superior quality. From rabo de Toro to tortillas de cameron, pate plate to salad and soup, everything was absolutely delightful. I highly recommend this establishment!
This is hands down the best place we’ve experienced in Cádiz! The atmosphere was enchanting, the service impeccable, and the food absolutely divine. José, our waiter, truly stood out—such a kind and attentive person who made the afternoon even more special. You simply must try the dorada and octopus—both were cooked to perfection. The wine selection was outstanding, pairing beautifully with the dishes. The pricing was incredibly fair—almost too good to be true for the quality and experience we received. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. A definite Top 10 spot in Cádiz and one you don’t want to miss!

Any non-Spanish speaking person is not welcome here period...disrespectful service...zero effort to even give a menu...they would not even wipe our dirty table...not sure why they treat tourists this way but I would avoid this place completely! Not worth the drive to get there!

Good selection of fish. Was really nice. The waiter that served us was lovely. Recommend the seafood platter and the sardines. The other waiters were drinking beer between serving the tables. They were clearly hiding it from the boss or who ever was behind the bar because they kept looking back to see who was looking before taking a sip. Found it absolutely ridiculous. Won't go back as felt really uncomfortable watching them downing beer.

Open air night club, trendy modern music. Average age 30 years old people. Depends on the night though. Entry not free of charge. Usually long queues

Very nice experience, clearly a destination place for locals, lots of very fresh seafood, great beach views, not easy to find unless you have a smart phone with a map guide. Recommended
