Ronda in 2 days

If you only have 2 days to spend in Ronda, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
There are few places in the world where you can enjoy such a variety of scenery in so short a time as you can in Ronda, a mountaintop city located in Spain’s Malaga Province. You can dine in a restaurant high up on the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge), with splendid views of the old town and the river below. Guided tours of the city walls visit various monuments, such as Plaza de Toros Bullring and the Tower of Homage, or take a trip to Zahara de la Sierra, an ancient Moorish town that is now a walled village.
With favorites like Mirador La Hoya Del Tajo, Rte. Pedro Romero Ronda, and Restaurante Panorámico, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Puerta Grande and Parador de Ronda so you can get the best taste of Ronda while you’re here. Lookouts
Puente Nuevo, or New Bridge, is a remarkable 18th-century arch bridge that spans a 120-meter chasm in Ronda. It connects the modern part of the city to the historic center and offers stunning views of the River Guadalevin. The bridge is part of a walking tour that includes other significant landmarks such as El Mercadillo and La Ciudad. Despite its name, Puente Nuevo is not actually new; it was completed between 1759 and 1793.
Spectacular views and vibrant atmosphere—an unforgettable highlight of Ronda Puente Nuevo is absolutely breathtaking and a must-see when visiting Ronda. The views from the bridge—both day and night—are spectacular, offering sweeping vistas of the gorge and surrounding valley. It's a stunning spot for photos and a peaceful place to just take in the natural beauty and architecture. The area around the bridge is lively and full of charm, with plenty of tapas restaurants (more than a dozen!) offering delicious food and great views. Many have outdoor seating, making it the perfect place to relax, enjoy a drink, and soak up the atmosphere. There are also several hiking options nearby, with trails that lead down into the gorge or along the cliffside for different perspectives of the bridge. Whether you're just strolling the old town or exploring the paths below, Puente Nuevo is a constant and dramatic presence in the landscape. This spot is just as magical at night when the bridge is beautifully lit—romantic, quiet, and unforgettable. A definite 5-star experience and a highlight of any trip to Ronda.

This is a very impressive bridge! We paid 5 Euros to go down into the room inside the bridge and thought that was a very cool experience. Outside, it is a bit difficult to get a really good view of the bridge without getting a bit far away from it (you need more than the hour or so that we had), but we still enjoyed the views, especially the scenic views looking out at the cliffs and valleys below. Worth a visit, especially if you have time to explore a bit farther back from the bridge!
Michael P — Google review
The bridge is amazing and home to very nice views. What they don't tell you is that it is in use and very busy with cars. But still, there are vantage points so you can take great pictures. There is also a payed experience that lets you in a certain part of the bridge and it was nice to feel a bit of fresh air. I cannot really recommend the payed experience, sure at 2,50 euros is not expensive but there isn't much to see.
Kell B — Google review
1 hour 30 minutes from Marbella it's worth going for the puento nuevo bridge over the gorge. I spent 3 hours there and that was just right. Very touristy however it's a lovely town and a good day out for a group and if you sit and eat/drink then you will need about 5 hours. So it's a worthwhile day out.
Tee M — Google review
An absolutely breathtaking landmark! Puente Nuevo in Ronda is truly a masterpiece of architecture and nature combined. The views from the bridge are simply stunning, especially with the dramatic gorge and surrounding cliffs. It’s one of those places that leaves you speechless and makes you appreciate the blend of history and natural beauty. A must-see if you’re anywhere near Ronda — unforgettable and iconic.

Lovely place to see ,the gorges and ravine and the landscape .You can walk down via the stairs (5euros I think) but we did not.

El Tajo de Ronda is an iconic Spanish city known for its location straddling the El Tajo Gorge and as the birthplace of bullfighting. The former Moorish bastion has attracted famous visitors like Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles, offering adventurous vistas and picturesque narrow streets. The town is divided by a hundred-meter-deep gorge, crossed by the historic Puente Nuevo bridge built in the 18th century.
This is a wonderful place. So romantic, breathtaking and quite peaceful and relaxing! The bridge is a great work of architecture built on the rocks. I cannot believe it I am seeing this wonder! You have to experience this in person at least once in your life.

Ronda is absolutely magical, especially at sunset – it feels like stepping into a fairytale. The views are breathtaking and definitely worth experiencing. I highly recommend visiting the viewpoint under the famous bridge – it offers a unique perspective and stunning scenery. The entrance costs €5 per person, and it’s worth every cent!

Historical & Landmark Bridge in the heart of Ronda This is a super impressive bridge, best seen from below. The walk into the canyon is very nice but can be quite tiring. Not recommended on a summer day (although we did it). The reason is that views are really worth it. Highly recommended visit!
Paul V — Google review
Ronda is a small but beautiful place to visit. Lots of history, check out if they have any festivals on for the dates you are visiting . When we where there everyone was dressed ini Victorian costumes and there was some kind of food festival on. I recommend visiting the tourist information office, because there are hidden gems in the town. Ronda Bridge is a must see and there is a viewing platform part way down the cliff face but it is chargeable .Go down past this and you will get the best view. We stayed on the aire of the El SUR Campground. REALY CLEAN and well laid out. 19€ for the aire 29€ for the campground we stayed 2days

One of the best sights in Spain. The deep gorge and the height of the bridge is magnificent. The views on both sides of the bridge make this an must visit when in Ronda.

Went off high season, so was reasonably accessible. Otherwise, I can imagine it gets extremely crowded. Parking close by is almost impossible to find unless very early. Views are incredible, though, and the bridge itself is a marvel. When there, make sure to visit the museum and the viewpoints, well worth the walk down and up the path.

Mirador La Hoya Del Tajo

4.8

Scenic spot
Mirador La Hoya Del Tajo is a must-visit viewpoint in Ronda, Spain. It offers breathtaking views of the town, its rural surroundings, and the impressive Hoya del Tajo gorge. Visitors can also spot ancient watermill ruins that once harnessed the power of the downhill torrent before being destroyed.
Stunning viewpoint of the bridge and surrounding landscape. One must descend from the town center along windy stairs. They’re not very steep, but the descend grade is at times. It can be very slippery when when and when the leaves are down. The descent and return back up is worth every second once you see the view from below.
Raphael V — Google review
Beautiful space. Not that busy down there so you can drive all the way down. Just be careful there's a lot of Hikers around drive slowly
Ny龙(Dragon) — Google review
It's accessible by car. The road down is narrow and shared with pedestrians, so caution is required. Nevertheless, the view was fantastic. I think this place is even better than the viewpoints you have to walk down to. I highly recommend it.
Hawker — Google review
Beautiful viewing point on the most spectacular bridge in Ronda. The road is quite challenging by car, but you can also leave it a bit higher and walk down. The view compensates everything.
Aga — Google review
A great view of the new bridge from down in the valley. The road to get to this viewpoint is a bit tricky. It is narrow and covered with cobble stones. If a car comes from the opposite direction you (or they) may need to back up to a place where you can pass.
Detlef G — Google review
First time to see the Tajo from below and I have to say is breathtaking. You can go by car and park shortly to take you pictures. Don’t leave the car at the first parking you see on the left: by foot should be ok to go down but the way back will be challenging.
Ester P — Google review
A viewpoint for more adventurous drivers or walkers, accessible via a steeply descending road, rewards visitors with a panoramic view of the cliffside city of Ronda. These limestone formations are carved by the deep canyon of the Guadalevín River, which creates steep walls upon which the city is perched. The most famous example of this geological formation is the Tajo Gorge, which splits the city and features cliffs up to 130 meters deep. The Puente Nuevo bridge has spanned this canyon for over 200 years.
Tomas O — Google review
First of all, if you want to view the bridge and the gorge, don't waste time (and money 2.50 per person and they don't take cash) going into the town centre. Imagine trying to appreciate a bridge while standing over it? I don't think so. There is a tricky path (a really winding pebble trek that requires careful driving (10 min) or walking 30-40min) at the back of the town centre that takes you to this parking space (10-15 cars max). From the car park there is a narrow steep path a further 30 min climb up to a view point that gives you the best view.

Tapas bar
Tragatá is a modern and stylish restaurant in Ronda, known for its creative take on traditional Spanish dishes. The menu offers a variety of tapas options that combine local flavors with global influences, such as squid sandwiches and pork ears.
Out of all the incredible meals we had during our trip through southern Spain , this one stood out as an absolute favorite. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and had a refreshing creative twist. The appetizers set the tone beautifully—particularly the salmon with lime, which struck the perfect balance between vibrant acidity and delicate richness. It was a simple yet elevated start that immediately impressed us. Then came the squid sandwich, which was nothing short of spectacular. The squid itself was tender and flavorful, but what truly made the dish unforgettable was the bun—warm, freshly baked, and wonderfully soft. It brought everything together in the most satisfying way. The pork with cream and mushrooms was equally memorable. Rich, savory, and perfectly cooked, it was comfort food elevated to something truly special. Finally, the fried sea bass was a standout. Crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, it was a flawless execution of a classic dish. The dessert definitely added an icing to the cake. Mango sorbet mixed with a spicy sauce was very savory! Highly recommended to anyone visiting the region

Glad we found and booked this restaurant. My friend was joking that we have been eating Spanish food continuously and may get bored by now. The food here is out of ordinary and one of the best in our Southern Spain trip. Everything is good and can’t stop thinking of the dessert. Will be back soon to try more food.

Had a late dinner at Tragata and there was just a short wait. Food was delicious especially squid sandwich and fried sea bass. The artichoke was nicely cooked as well. The flavors were of a good mix and we liked it.

What a delight to find this place! This was my best dinner in Spain so far after almost 20 days here. The mussels were absolutely devine and the best I've ever had. I can't wait to go here for lunch tomorrow. Recommended 100%

Was supposed to be the “low-key” version of the 2-Michelin star bigger brother across the street , and don’t get me wrong food was good. But I didn’t get any special vibe. Inside interior are nice we but sat outside, so less cosy. Ordered burger for the kids but order got messed up and ended up waiting more than hour.

El Lechuguita is a well-established venue in Ronda, Malaga, offering classic Spanish food and wine in a traditional setting. It is renowned for its legendary and surprisingly affordable dining experience. Despite the variety of dining options in Ronda, El Lechuguita stands out as a must-visit destination for those seeking an authentic taste of Spanish cuisine. Whether it's the affordable prices or the traditional environment, this restaurant has garnered praise from locals and visitors alike.
Very local and affordable food, and they taste pretty good in general. [Highly recommend the fish in the first picture. The roasted bread is so crispy outside while super soft inside. It comes with olive oil & salmorejo, topping with Iberian ham. It is just so gooddddd]. The lady in the picture really offers great hospitality. Besides, it is a really popular restaurant, so please go there 5 minutes before it opens. We arrived there at 20:06 (they opens at 20:00 pm), and there were no tables left already. We got the last spaces at the bar, which is also a very nice experience for us. But people arrived after 20:10 basically had to wait for at least half hour to get a table.
Jessica Y — Google review
Best tapas bar we’ve came across. There is a line, but we are glad that we waited - food and wine were on point, atmosphere both inside and was great and the staff was super nice. Portions are tapas-appropriate, but very well priced, so you get to taste more. Unexpected for me, I loved the morcilla.
Yana C — Google review
The host was doing like thirteen jobs, all with a smile and grace, and succeeding. The line to get in was so long they moved it across the street (which was great, as it was in the shade). As for the food, it was a very fast-paced ordering process at the bar and several items we had would strong recommendations if someone asked me what to order. These include: the morcilla, the lomo en manteca (my favorite), the morantito, the garbanzo with chorizo and morcilla and the "moorish cookie." I still don't know what was even in the moorish cookie, which was a savory meat of some sort, but it was delicious. The tapas were all about 2-3 bites of food, some a little smaller than in other restaurants, but it was good and fun. Not that money is the be all to end all, but we got five canas of beer and 14 tapas for 32 euro. Not sure how that worked, but it made an already solid experience in Ronda that much better. I would recommend this place to friends heading to Ronda.

Pure Soul Family owned Spanish delicacies that represent what real Spain should be and taste like. The combination of food and proce is too good to be true. Go crazy and try everything you can fit while getting most affordable bill. My #1 experience in Spain so far. Dont miss the chorizo, grilled shrimp, “caña” small beer, pathe mussel, smoke sardine, blue cheese jamon and tortilla were my highlights. Best Tortilla I tried in Spain, just like my Grandmas. Goat cheese crust insane.

This is a great spot for tapas in Ronda. Very reasonable (1.40€ for most dishes). It’s a fun and lively atmosphere and the tapas is tasty! Our favourites were the chorizo bun, the meatballs and the patatas bravas (tapas of the day). We went back for lunch the next day! The 5€ prawns were also very tasty!

Restaurant
Nestled along the charming pedestrian street of Calle Nueva, just across from the Parador, Puerta Grande is a delightful find for anyone seeking authentic Andalusian cuisine. This relaxed restaurant boasts a lovely terrace where you can savor classic dishes like oxtail and seafood paella in a warm atmosphere. The service here is reminiscent of old-fashioned hospitality, with friendly staff who make your dining experience truly enjoyable.
It’s one of the best places to eat, have a rest and recharge! It’s been 3 months already as i visited this restaurant, but still remember it for a couple of times a week! The food is amazing, no spices that take over the taste of a dish, you can actually taste each and every note! My great respect for the service! Waiters are classy and incredibly kind with soft and nice sense of humor. As a whole, this place lets you relax, no noise, you don’t hear kitchen sounds, no funny smell, you can totally focus on food and person you came with, soft music creates atmosphere but doesn’t disturb. If i could give this place 10stars, I’d give it! If Ronda - then Puerto Grande!

We have very present experience in this place. The indoor atmosphere is wonderful but most people may choose outdoor seating and miss that. I guess it might run by the family members because they are so friendly and welcoming. We try the white sangria and it’s so “pretty”. Definitely going back if travel on next time.
Florence L — Google review
We were very lucky to get the last free table, even though we went during peak hours. We were not succeed to make a reservation the day before. The service was very nice, the food was absolutely delicious! It's worth waiting 40 min. for the paella - it was our first paella ever. The only pity is that they close at 9:30 PM, we didn't have enough time to finish their excellent sangria.

The best cheeks in Ronda.. and believe me, I tried. I actually left two other (bad, but with good reviews😳) and went here and order their cheeks in Rondenean sauce. Lovely. Once we also gave up breakfast (no one was serving anybody at that place that morning) and their Catalan Mollette is really nice, but order extra jamon and cheese. Their serve a great cup of freshly brewed coffee 🙏🏻😎 As you can see from the fotos, we keeps coming. We were in Ronda long enough to also enjoy other great places, but every time another restaurant was bad, we ran here. Thank you so much for the great food❤️😎🙏🏻 I got to get the recipe, because I got addicted to those tender and marvellous cheeks. The rest of the food was also really wonderful my boyfriend had the Camembert twice also.

Fantastic experience here. Everything was 10/10. The service was incredibly professional, and the food was perfectly cooked. They added extra things like an aperitivo and a palate cleanser at the end of the meal, a great touch! I highly recommend this place to everyone. It's very central too

Its prime location next to Puente Nuevo allows guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of Ronda.
Excellent experience. Staff are incredibly helpful, our room was large and well laid out, bathroom had plenty of space with dual sinks, great views, lovely pool deck with great views as well, restaurant and bar were both excellent with great staff. One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel much! The staff are absolutely friendly and helpful. We are welcomed by the smiley face and joyful greeting. My daughter had lost a toy near reception. Although it was not found at the end, the staff sincerely helped to check in detail. Location is perfect. Room is clean and tidy. We enjoyed staying here a lot would definitely come again in future.

Parador de Ronda is nearly flawless. From the moment you step into reception, you're treated like a VIP. The room and views are stunning, and the attention to detail is remarkable—even the lotion and hand soap bottles include Braille for visually impaired guests. The thick walls and doors ensure excellent sound insulation, making the room exceptionally quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delightful, and service throughout was impeccable. The location itself is breathtaking, perched above dramatic cliffs with panoramic views. The only drawback: due to the building’s size and heavy construction, Wi-Fi reception in my room was poor and unreliable. Aside from that, everything was perfect.

I rarely write reviews, but I believe it’s important to raise awareness about what happened during my family’s visit today. We had a confirmed reservation for 1:00 PM and arrived 20 minutes early, fully understanding that we might need to wait. The restaurant staff initially asked us to wait, which was fair. However, what happened next was unacceptable. When the waiter finally approached us, he said that all window tables were full and pointed us toward a table in the middle of the restaurant. As I was trying to understand the situation, he began gesturing toward the door, asking us to leave. I calmly asked to speak with the manager, and only then did he suddenly offer a window table, contradicting what he had said moments earlier. We stepped outside politely to wait for the remaining 20 minutes until our reservation time , we had no intention of leaving. However, immediately after, the waiter shut the door and locked it, right in front of us. That act alone was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. It was only after that moment that we decided to leave. As paying guests who made a proper reservation and behaved respectfully, this experience was deeply disappointing. I hope management looks into this behavior seriously, as it completely undermines the hospitality expected from such a renowned location. The view may be beautiful, but respect and professionalism are what truly define a restaurant.
Sayraa S — Google review
The scenery and location of this place are absolutely stunning, both day and night. I highly recommend staying here. What touched me the most was the exceptional service, dedication, and warm attitude of the hotel staff. I had accidentally left some clothes in my room before moving on to a hotel in Barcelona, and they kindly shipped them to me without any issues, ensuring my trip went smoothly. I am deeply grateful for their unforgettable kindness — it’s a service I will remember for the rest of my life. If I ever visit Ronda again, I will definitely stay at this hotel.
Nam J — Google review
The rooms need a refresh, and unfortunately, some of the staff are quite rude and unhelpful. Simple things—like informing guests that they have to register cars going to the hotel to avoid a fine from the police—are overlooked. Want to order something at breakfast? You’ll have to work hard to get the attention of the waiters. The views are great, though.
Gustav — Google review
A good hotel but not great. Wonderful staff but the room is okay but dull. Ridiculously thin tissues and toilet paper, just not right for a hotel of this standard. Some design faults too, you'll have to stand in the bath to get to the taps which is rather awkward and difficult to get out of, particularly if you are elderly. The location is the best in Ronda and the views from the windows are just sensational.
Lenny R — Google review
Best place to stay in Ronda! We chose this place for one night, to celebrate our engagement that very day. Everything was perfect and the whole experience felt like a dream. We chose the Duplex apartment with views towards the mountains and towards the Mirador de Ronda, from where we could hear the guitar playing throughout the day from the balcony. The views are absolutely spectacular, we ended up spending most of the evening admiring the views and enjoying the songs from nearby. The room was also amazing, it has two levels, two bathrooms and even a jacuzzi. Everything was very clean and good looking, I would even dare to say more modern than expected from a hotel with such a history. The hotel is currently renovating its facade but apart from the cafe being closed, there was nothing else to worry about. The staff was also lovely. I chose a special package for my fiancee, which included a champagne bottle and a fruit dessert, and we also had rose petals throughout the rooms, it was very cute and romantic as you can see in the photos. We also had access to the pool which was very nice - water was clean, fresh and the pool area was wonderful, with views towards Puente Nuevo and the mountains. The price was not even that high especially given the central location, how big the apartment was and all the amenities of the hotel. Overall, I would say this was the best place to stay in Ronda for a special occasion like this. A very romantic and memorable stay, we will for sure come back here after some time!

Italian restaurant
Pizza restaurant
"Il Forno a Legna" is a charming, family-owned restaurant in Ronda that offers a delightful blend of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. This cozy eatery provides an array of options for vegetarians, vegans, and those with celiac disease. The menu features wood-fired pizzas, grilled meats, pasta dishes, and more at affordable prices ranging from 4 to 14 euros. Guests can expect cheerful service and a pleasant atmosphere while enjoying their meals.
The pizzas are one of the best pizzas I've had in my life! Same with the dessert OHMYGOD heavenly!! Don't skip out on the house desserts, they're truly a little treat, so delicately made with such an incritate flavor profile at such an affordable price. Would recommend anyone in the area to drop by.

Really tasty wood-fired pizza - one of the best I’ve tasted and I am very fussy. It’s off the beaten track and down a street with many other restaurants before it. Please persevere and continue to the end and don’t be tempted by the other very pushy staff of the surrounding restaurants - who we saw literally standing in the way of people! The staff Il Forno were polite and helpful - not pushy at all - and I would urge anyone to try the food as you will not be disappointed!
Hazel B — Google review
I spotted the sample pizza in the street and this made us go back to visit the restaurant. It wasn’t busy at the time with maybe 4 tables of customers and yet the one pizza which we ordered to share took around 45 minutes to appear! During this wait I began to watch the cook who left the restaurant at one point and walked round the corner and also later had a rest at a table after chopping vegetables. No wonder it took so long! He was the only guy doing the pizzas. The pizza itself was nice when it arrived but sadly not really worth the wait. A shame as it could be great place. I have my suspicions about this business.

There are many pizza places to dine in Ronda, but this one has the Provolone (added truffle 🤩) and Pizza Bread, which is worth the visit alone! Paired with sangria, and it was amazing 👏
Sara J — Google review
The food was nice. We had pizza capricossa and beef with mushrooms. Pizza was great, they have oven and you can see pizza baking but the beef was just ok. Not bad not very good, i had better ones. The staff was very nice. Anyway 4 stars is still pretty good review.

Place is located in central area. Nice and fast servise. Food was - moderate Pasta Salmone - 10/10 Cesar salad -8/10 Pica Carbona 4/10 Tiramisu - 6/10
Arturs J — Google review
The place was freezing cold, and they didn’t turn on the heating even after we mentioned it. The pizza was good, but they rushed us through the entire dinner — they basically kicked us out while we were still finishing our meal. We asked for dessert (which was already prepared), and they told us the kitchen was closed. The staff were unfriendly and the atmosphere was far from welcoming — a shame, because the pizza really deserved better.
Giulia M — Google review
The pizza was huge and delicious! Everyone loved it. We were a group of 8 and got served quickly and at the same time. The cheesecake was tempting but I was too full. The only annoying thing was one kitchen staff kept passing between us and the dessert fridge, a tight squeeze…when the restaurant was empty and a slightly longer path would not interrupt us so many times.

Argentinian restaurant
Restaurante Kütral, located in Ronda and opened by Martin Abramzon, has quickly become a favorite dining destination. The restaurant is renowned for its stunning steaks that attract visitors from far and wide. One of the standout dishes is the Risotto de Trigo con Setas Boletus y Carabinero, which is a must-try for any visitor. The attentive and knowledgeable staff contribute to the warm atmosphere, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Wow - Absolutely amazing steak restaurant in Ronda. The restaurant is located on the edge of town but is a very short taxi ride away. When you enter the room it is the huge barbecue range that catches the eye and it is surely the heart of this wonderful restaurant. One of the nicest things about Kütral is that the owner/chef greets you and is on hand for the rest of the evening. We had the empanadas and grilled avocado to start. We have certainly never had better empanadas anywhere and the avocado was superb. We were offered different cuts of meat and told all about them. Two of the cuts were Argentinian and three were Spanish. We went for a piece of Simmental from Spain. When it came it was perfectly cooked and simply sublime. We have been to many steak restaurants around the world and in Spain in particular and have never had a more tender and tasty steak before - it was melt in your mouth stuff! We had fries and the cabbage off the starter menu to accompany our steak. The chef recommended a sensibly priced Malbec (€35) which was spot on. We had been recommended this restaurant by someone in Malaga which gives you an idea of how good its reputation is. As we say in England we were really, really “chuffed” (happy) to have eaten at Kütral.

What a great Argentine-style steak restaurant, with modern international adjustment for the audience in Ronda. As we drove up I thought we might be lost as it’s located near open fields in an industrial area, but they’ve transformed that space into a beautiful restaurant. Through the window I watched the beautiful light of sun set on the open fields and mountain beyond. Food and service was amazing! They had multiple drink and food options to suit our whole party. Worth the drive!

No words. Excellent from start to end. The bread, chessboard, waygu appetizer, their meats are cooked with mastery!! The flan was espectacular. The service was great ans the music amazing. I am glad i celebrated my birthday here.

We had an amazing experience here. Chef Martín is very passionate about his steaks and he cooks them to perfection. The steaks were phenomenal, service excellent and the decor and vibe was really cool! My three boys said their Argentinian steaks were the best steaks they’ve ever had! The padron peppers were Devine too! It is not cheap but worth the money. Thank you and if we are ever back in Ronda will definitely be back to Kutral. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic food in Ronda! If you like steak this is your place! Great food, service and decore!
David D — Google review
In Kutral, you are not a client of a business, you are a guest. I would like to start by saying that they accommodated a last minute change in the reservation, which, for a table of 6, was not an easy thing to do. The atmosphere - We do not like luxury and restaurants where the servers are constantly behind your back and watching your every move. We felt right at home at Kutral. I ate the steak with my fingers, like God intended us to do. The chef (and owner) himself greeted us, came two times to take our order of the drinks, came two times to present the meat and take our order for the dinner, and came two times to check if we are happy with the experience. Again, the place does not feel like a business - the tables are few and far apart, instead of fitting as many as possible, the owner recommended just the right amount of meat, and suggested a wine far in the middle range of the menu. The service - they make sure you have everything you need and then leave you alone. Just as it is supposed to be. Thank you, you were great. The food - I am not very experienced but I have never tasted steak as good as the one I tasted that night. The price - we dined for around 45 Euro per person, which included two steaks, a starter, a couple of side dishes, a bottle of wine and a dish for the kid. Compared to the quality and the experience, the price seems like a great deal to us. The only negative that I could think of was that all the food offered there tastes rich. Strangely, this makes it not a great companion to the steak - I did not want to eat the salad, I did not want to eat the fries, as the steak was enough by itself.

Cool cool cool place! As soon as you walk in the atmosphere and interior is something special- especially for Ronda. It’s totally worth coming to Ronda just for this restaurant experience. A little on the outskirts of town and needs a short taxi ride. Superb risotto - the best I have ever eaten and will probably ever eat. Delicious tender meats. Great wines. Martin is the host with the most. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely experience. One of the best salads I have ever had. and being a vegetarian, I eat mostly only salads when holidaying in Europe. This one beats all the others I have ever eaten! The spinach salad with goats cheese in brick pastry, with berry coulis, and walnuts.... WOW!!!

We chose this restaurant based on reviews and it was a good choice. This was our best meal in Spain and we ate ate some Michelin recommended places. My friend is very picky and not a fan of unfamiliar foods so finding a place she would enjoy is always a challenge. She ordered three rounds of the chicken and rice tapas dish. I had the beef tenderloin which was flavour perfection, especially the light creamy garlic sauce on the potatos(I don’t like strong garlic and this delivered the perfect balance). My friends tried a few tapas and salads and were all superiority pleased. The price was great, location stellar, and the staff were more than excellent. Thank you for an excellent meal. We would have went back for dinner if we were not leaving Ronda for our next destination. We also enjoyed excellent coffee, beer and the local wine drink (Tinto Verrano) and a dessert. The total bill was 90 euro for 4 people.

Very busy and popular restaurant. We didn't book and had to wait 15 minutes for a table. We ordered a selection of tapas and each dish was beautifully prepared. We've had some of the best tapas in Spain from this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. The price of everything was also very reasonable in comparison to prices paid in Malaga. I highly recommend this place to everyone and would definitely return for food in the future.

The food was so exceptional that we visited this restaurant twice while we were in Ronda. The service was very friendly and the server referred to us as "family" on our return. We told him that we were off to Seville the next day and he came back to our table with hand written restaurant recommendations, which we ended up following up on. Great experience. I'd like to thank the staff for their great food and hospitality.

We enjoyed a nice meal here with a few tapas dishes. The tuna tataki was especially tasty. It's located in a pedestrian only street so it's away from traffic and also protected from the sun with shades over the street.

We ordered the chicken paella and oxtail stew. Definitely the best food we tried in Andalusia. The paella was juicy and the taste just right. The stew was amazing. Tender meat falling from the bones and gravy the perfect flavour. Wait is a bit longer because of the popularity. The restaurant was full.

The Bullring of the Royal Cavalry of Ronda is a historic 18th-century bullring associated with legendary matador Pedro Romero. Located in the heart of Ronda, it is one of the oldest bullfighting arenas still in use and represents an important aspect of Andalusian and Spanish culture. The Corrida Goyesca show, held between late August and early September, attracts numerous visitors.
The Plaza de Toros heritage site of the RMR is one of the most visited cultural complexes in Andalusia with more than nine million visitors in the last ten years. Excellent architecture and location. The Plaza de Toros de Ronda is a bullring in Ronda, it has a diameter of 66 metres (217 ft), surrounded by a passage formed by two rings of stone. There are two layers of seating, each with five raised rows and 136 pillars that make up 68 arches. The Royal Box has a sloping roof covered in Arabic tiles. The design of the main entrance to the bull ring features two Tuscan columns and the royal shield of Spain surround by baroque edging. The main door is large enough to allow horses and carriages to enter the ring, and above the door is an iron wrought balcony that embodies the bullfighting culture.

Visiting the Bullring of the Royal Cavalry of Ronda was one of the highlights of our trip. Even if you’re not a fan of bullfighting, the place is worth seeing for its history and architecture. Standing in the middle of the arena feels surreal, and the museum collections with costumes, saddles and antique weapons are really impressive. Easy to visit, and right in the heart of Ronda’s old town, definitely a stop we recommend. Greetings from Romania 🇷🇴🐾

Amazing bull fighting arena. Loved it. People might say it was cruel, but probably not crueler than hundreds of thousands of bovine being cut up for food every day. It’s all in perspective, entertaining the masses. Must visit place to go.

Nice little tour on the oldest bullring of Spain. Advice: take the audio guide so you’ll get really interesting history facts that you wouldn’t get. Visit is about 1h, and ok with kids.
Mathieu M — Google review
Great experience. Very rich and interesting history. The museum is very interesting. Bull fighting isn't exactly a good thing (in my opinion it's a bit cruel) however the experience was amazing and it is an important part of their history. The ring was also used as an army base by either side during the Spanish Civil war.

I thought it was worth a visit. We brought sandwiches and sat in the bleachers and ate them while checking out the arena and doing some tourist watching. Cool to see and oldest in Spain!

I took my girlfriend out to dinner for her birthday at the Restaurante Tropicana in Ronda. It was a wonderful dining experience. The owner and wait staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious. We started with a really tasty, unique “Tropicana” green salad with cucumbers, avocado, mango and fresh tomatoes. We both had a the baked salmon with mustard coating and garden vegetables — a generous portion, seasoned and baked to perfection. The side of bread was warm and crusty. The carrot cake and creamy chocolate cake, with decaf expresso, put a really nice cap on a top notch meal. We’ve had dinners in Madrid, Cordoba and Sevilla that were not nearly as good AND more expensive. Restaurant Tropicana is a must for dinner when you’re visiting Ronda.

La Casa del Rey Moro is a historic palace with a fascinating water mine and hanging gardens that are open for exploration by visitors. Carved into the cliffs of El Tajos gorge, this site dates back to the Moorish era when protecting water supplies was crucial during constant wars in Al-Andalus. The Ronda's Water Mine, built in the 14th century, showcases medieval Islamic engineering and is a unique marvel in Spain. Nearby attractions include St.
A beautiful gem of a place with culture, history and amazing panoramic views. It's truly underrated and while not Alhambra, it is of importance and beauty if you don't wanna venture further into Andalusia and Granada.
Zainab R — Google review
It is a real oasis with a beautiful park. Unfortunately the park is in need of some love and care, and that's why I subtract one star. The "kings house" is in a very bad state and should be renovated to its former glory, if I had any say in the matter. The "mine" is a must-see if you are able to climb all the stairs up and down, and is a true gem.
Claes L — Google review
We visited Casa del Rey Moro today and overall it was an interesting experience, but not quite what we expected for the entry fee. The garden is small and simple, with some nice views, but nothing spectacular. The descent of more than 200 steps into the mine is unique, but quite demanding, not really recommended for people with heart or knee problems. Bring water with you and don’t come in flip-flops or sandals, good shoes make a big difference. At the bottom, two platforms were closed and the water was unfortunately very dirty, with algae and even plastic waste. A bit disappointing compared to the photos we had seen before. Still, the views are beautiful and worth a few pictures, but the place would really shine with better maintenance.
Online A — Google review
Relaxing gardens and journey inside caves down to the bottom of the gorge which gives plenty of opportunities for some great photos. You can see the outside of the house but the house itself is closed to the public. To get the most out of a visit don’t rush through it and stop and scan the QR codes on signs to launch YouTube audio commentary on the various sections. Hopefully the wooden walkways at the bottom of the gorge will open in the future which will make it even better.
JaffyJafster — Google review
The entrance fee was €10 per person. While the visit had potential, the gardens left me somewhat disappointed. The entrance area looked lovely at first glance, but several details gave a run down impression — the fountains weren’t working, lights were broken, and much of the greenery was either dry or not in bloom. I understand this may be due to the season, but for a place that receives tourists year-round (or so), there are certainly ways to keep the gardens attractive in all seasons. Overall, the entrance fee felt a bit too high. If you are going for the views, next to the gardens is free of charge Jardines de Cue, beautiful views and gardens.
Katrina J — Google review
The water well is amazing, lots of steps to climb up and down though. As other people have said, there's no access to the house, so 10 euros entrance feels slightly steep.
C — Google review
Excellent well worth visiting for the history and the views and garden. The audio guide is rich and can be accessed from QR codes around the site, using the free Wi-Fi.
Richard B — Google review
It was a fun exploration in the water mines. The history is quite interresting. The audio guide via qr code does not work in the lower parts due to bad signal, so it is a pity. It is colder inside the water mine, so it's a great way to escape the heat as well. Be careful, can be slippery, and the stairs are narrow. The garden is simple, but the peacocks made it more special.

Highly recommended! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the service truly set this place apart — especially thanks to the exceptional care from the manager. We had ordered the 45-day aged steak, but found the taste wasn’t quite to our liking. Without any hesitation or fuss, the manager immediately offered to replace it with another steak, which turned out to be fantastic. That level of attentiveness and professionalism is rare and deeply appreciated. Combined with the stunning views and warm atmosphere, this was a memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

May be one of my best dinners. Outstanding foods and breathtaking views. Service is also something to highlight. The waiters as Jacinto just made our day suggesting the best wines to combine our cravings. This place deserves a Michelin Star.

Fantastic dinner with food and service really of a high quality. Location was icing on cake. Only thing (which is difficult to fix in Spain) is smoking at restaurant tables which detracted from the meal for non-smokers - can the restaurant area be made no smoking with people maybe going to the bar end if they want to smoke?

Incredible, spectacular views of Ronda, including the bullring. Food and service was impeccable - our waiter, Jacinto, was attentive and considerate throughout, really couldn't have wished for better service. To top it it off, they brought us a lovely cake and ice cream desert wishing us a happy anniversary (our 10th!) and a happy birthday to my wife. All in all a great experience!

We enjoyed this fancy food restaurant, although a bit expensive and with small portions. The view is very beautiful. Rice of the sushi not good. Tartare de atun and ceviche tasty. Salad with too much balsamic cream covering the other ingredients.

I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. Gabriel provided excellent service. The food and wine were delicious! Thank you!

Stopped by in Ronda during our visit in Spain, came across this restaurant and didn’t have a reservation, but was still seated luckily. The view was gorgeous and the staff were so kind. Our server, Dominic was fantastic. Super professional, really informative and efficient. Although we spoke minimal Spanish to him, he did understand & spoke great English. But we do like to try speak the native language when we visit somewhere where possible. Our food was excellent. We got to choose out of two choices of bread which was a nice touch. I got the Oxtail Cannelloni and it was so tasty! Very different to anything I had eaten before. I then got the chocolate cake for dessert which was so nice but I couldn’t finish it because I was so full. The restaurant was very clean as well. It was our most expensive meal whilst out in Spain but still cheap & cheaper than UK meals out! The view was also incredible. Would definitely return and recommend as well!

Restaurant
Rte. Pedro Romero Ronda is a restaurant named after a famous bullfighter, located near the 18th-century bullring in Ronda. The tavern-style space is adorned with bullfighting photos and offers traditional meat dishes and regional wines. The area hosts important events like the Pedro Romero Festival, bullfights, flamenco festivals, Holy Week, Festivals of the Reconquest, and Pilgrimage to Nuestra Senora de la Cabeza.
I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could! The food was absolutely fantastic. Especially the rib, Costilla Black Angus. The Ox tale was also amazing. Everything was so tasty, and the service and hospitality was top notch as well. Well done, Senior Romero!

We had lunch here and we had fish and salad! The fish was really soft and tasty! The salad had an awesome olive oil and didn’t even need anything else maybe just a little salt! Great service! Best sangria!

Local guide recommended this. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience but we didn’t really like how the steak was prepared.

Very good restaurant with great history. The taste of food was amazing as well. Must go in Ronda. We came here at lunch with reservations but if you come early enough like noon you probably don’t need to have reservations. But recommended for the group.

Delicious restaurant on the thematic of the history of bullfighting. Simply one of the best food we had during our trip in Andalucia. Delicious specialties of meat (beef and rabbit, or pork) and so much more. Don't miss the chestnut 🌰 dessert or liquor. Excellent choice of wines. Service is welcoming and friendly.

The food and service here were excellent! If we ever find ourselves in Ronda again, we will definitely make sure we add this to our agenda

Located right by the Plaza de Toros, the restaurant's tavern-style atmosphere, complete with bullfighting memorabilia, transported us back in time. We opted for a selection of tapas-style dishes to share. The smoked sardines on tomato bread were a delicious introduction, the smokiness balanced by the freshness of the tomato. The salmorejo, a chilled tomato soup, was incredibly refreshing, and the grilled goat cheese on seasonal vegetables provided a warm, creamy contrast. For our main courses, we delved into heartier options. The rabo de toro, a classic oxtail stew, was melt-in-your-mouth tender, boasting a rich flavour profile. The solomillo al whisky, a whisky-flamed beef tenderloin, was cooked to perfection, offering a unique and savoury twist. A glass of house red wine complemented the meal perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive, making for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. While the decor might be on the simpler side, the focus here is clearly on the fresh, well-prepared food, offering a true taste of Ronda's traditional cuisine.

Excellent dinner. Staff were wonderful and attentive. We appreciated their recommendations on our order. The ox tail was excellent and extremely tender. One of the best meals we had in Spain.

Nestled above the breathtaking Ronda gorge, Restaurante Abades Ronda offers an unforgettable dining experience that perfectly marries stunning views with exquisite cuisine. As you savor dishes like the rich foie gras paired with local goat cheese and caramelized apple or the delicate turbot complemented by black noodles and mango ali-oli, you'll find yourself captivated not just by the flavors but also by the picturesque scenery of sunlit fields and olive groves stretching towards the misty Serrania de Ronda.

Very nice restaurant with nice views. The service was professional but very slow despite hardly anyone in there and plenty of staff. Food nicely presented and my vegetables were nice but the calamare at 20€ was bland and chewy. Husband said his salmon stuffed with prawns was ok but good job he had a big breakfast as was about two mouthfuls. All in all it was ok but would not rush to go back. They did give me gluten free bread and were helpful with knowledge of allergens regarding menu choices
Tina H — Google review
Atmosphere is nice thats why i give it 2 star (one for the atmosphere one for how bad the food tasted). The squid ink rice didnt have enough sauce to eat with the rice, creme brulé is too sweet. Waiters are so rush with everything even tho there is no customer around. Theres no light in toilet also, need to carry torch light inside also. I will give another star for the lovely owner. hopefully this place can be better soon.
William L — Google review
The host and waiter were very professional. The view for sunset was beautiful. The portions were very small. For an appetizer I was given 6 ravioli. For my main course I had squid but it was very bland and a biy chewy. The veggies were very good. My husband haf the bachalau and he liked the taste but it was such a small piece of fish.

This is a nice place for a quiet dinner. The waiter was super attentive. I asked for some gluten-free bread which prompted him to make sure that the cooks kept my food separate so that there wouldn’t be any contamination from dishes that contain gluten.

I went here after reading the reviews online and I must say that the food was quite disappointing and not very good. We had 3 starters and a steak and the quality was not it, it was very bland and for nearly 100€ I expected better food and quality. The view is amazing and the place is nice but wouldn’t come again for food
Angelina U — Google review
We had seafood (lubina, bacalao and calamars, all very good). Service was meticulous, but unobtrusive. We enjoyed the breathtaking views from the terrace.
Fabio G — Google review
Location was amazing and the service was amazing as well. The male waiter was really great and attentive. He was kind as well. We had the jamon and the pate for starter. Both were great, especially the pate with some marmalade and that thing that I forgot the name. The iberico pork loin was amazing as well. It was tender and just delicious. I would love it more if it was still warm when it was served to us. But overall, tummy is happy. The spanish traditional cake was a delight too with coffee.
