Nestled within the stunning Monte Cofano Natural Reserve, Grotta Mangiapane is a captivating prehistoric cave that transports visitors back to the Palaeolithic era. Located just 18 kilometers north of Trapani and close to Baia di Cornino beach, this unique site features ancient rock paintings and flint tools that tell stories of a bygone age. The small village inside the cave offers an enchanting glimpse into history, especially during Christmas when it transforms into a living nativity scene.
We came early morning and was pleasantly surprised. Almost no one was there and it has a nice installation of rural life. Would definitely recommend for a nice break from people and if you are interested in how people lived.
Jarda — Google review
Lovely little place to visit for traditional craft insite of days gone by and appreciation of rural life now sadly behind us. Friendly bar with snacks and low cost of entry. The cave it's self is large enough for dwellings to be built within and it was nice to get up close to the mountains not just at a distance.

Must visit! For those that love or enjoy to know how our ancestors lived a good while ago this is going to be an amazing place for you! We simply loved it! It's a small ecosystem with lots of things to see, 2 donkeys and a few birds. Also the view from there is amazing! There's also a bar and some snacks that you can get but the prices are hight, as expected.

This place is like stepping back in time. It’s a fascinating museum that shows how Sicilians lived in the past, with rooms full of traditional tools and machines for oil and wine making, copper work, and stone crafts. The variety of exhibits is impressive, and each room gives you a glimpse into a different part of daily life. The cave itself is stunning and adds a special atmosphere to the visit. A great stop if you enjoy history and authentic cultural experiences.
George I — Google review
A very interesting place to visit. The tour takes about half an hour and the entrance fee is €3 per person. At the end you can relax in the café and enjoy a drink or snack. It would be even better with more informative panels, as currently only a few rooms are briefly labeled.
Kristýna D — Google review
Short way out of Trapani you will find this little amazing place. The remains of the village are really well maintained and will give you a glimpse into the old ways. While you will probably not spend there more than an hour, maybe 2, I definitely recommend making a stop there if you are in the area.
Piotr P — Google review
It was interesting and fascinating to see how olive oil and other farming practices in Sicily used to be produced. But those poor chickens and geese, trapped in a really small space, were also a positive experience.

A super beach, I love it. As someone who isn't a local its always welcoming here. The sea is better in the morning, like a pond and always heats up to a nice temperature. Has a floating platform for diving, lido, bar and food van. All that is needed for a beach day!

(Translated by Google) An interesting place for those who are looking for different impressions from a holiday at sea and like to walk a lot and take photographs. A real marble quarry. It looks abandoned, but traces of people's daily activities are still present. Very beautiful, textured marble blocks and walls, look beautiful at sunset. For those who understand, you can take excellent shots both against the backdrop of the quarry and the view of the Trapani Valley below. You can get there on foot, along the road from the sea, in 1 hour of a leisurely climb. Along the way, beautiful views of the sea and Mount Cofano are guaranteed. If you find yourself wandering through Sicily, make sure to stop by Ulivo - Gastronomia Siciliana. This charming deli and restaurant is a hidden gem that offers an array of delectable seafood appetizers and mouthwatering pasta dishes. Diners rave about the generous portions, with each dish seemingly better than the last. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, complemented by attentive yet unobtrusive service from friendly staff members like Dania.
This is a very nice deli/ restaurant. The pastries here also will leave your mouth watering. This was one of the biggest cannolis I have seen in Sicily and it was filled fresh and full. The prices also are extremely reasonable for around 11 years two people can get a lunch with a drink. The stuff was very friendly and the restaurant was spotless. There's plenty of parking on site and it's very easy to get to. If you're in the area take time to stop here and get a cannoli or some pasta.

(Translated by Google) Very nice place, but it's a shame the staff was completely absent and uncaring. Once we arrived, we ordered after about 10 minutes, so pretty quickly. It's a shame, however, that the pizzas didn't arrive until 1.5 hours later. There weren't many people, so the problem was probably related to the kitchen and the organization. It would have been appropriate to let everyone know about the wait, so everyone could decide whether or not to wait. In the end, we didn't leave just out of politeness, but by then it was getting really late. The tall guy with the ponytail was kind, and he approached the table several times; on the other hand, the other guy didn't seem suited to this job.

Visited on a quiet day, there's a fantastic view from the restaurant - food was great, decent portions and the mussels were amazing

Firstly, the location of this restaurant is unquestionably perfect. It offers stunning view overseeing the sea and the plain between two mountains. Also a perfect location for sunset photographs if you come for dinner. Other positive aspect is the freshness of the seafood. This place is a good choice for having a drink with antipasti or a pizza. However, when it comes to food, apparently we made some mistakes. As this restaurant turns out to serve food ranging from a simple pizza to dedicated seafood dishes, the average price of 10 to 20 per person as Google Maps indicates is not a good reference if we opted for seafood dishes. Actually, we spent on average over €30 per person, knowing half of us were children, and not ordering other drinks but water. We spent over 10 days touring in this island and always order seafood dishes for dinner of similar quantity. This one turned out to be the most expensive one, beating more touristic cities and villages. In the same sense that this restaurant serves wide range of food, it is not surprising that they are not specialised in seafood dishes. Rather, the style is rustic. It is fine for for the fried and grilled antipasti but when it comes to primi and secondi, the level of delicacy could be improved notably given the price. Lastly, we should have carefully asked the price for anything that is not on menu. For example, we saw another Google Local Guide posted that this restaurant served a mixed grill dishes of half plate Sicilian red gambas and other half swordfish slices, which I repost here (we did not take photo of the plate served to us). We asked for it without asking the exact price. And certainly we got the bad surprise: we were charged for €85 alone for this plate, which was counted as 4 portions of swordfish slices and a portion of Sicilian red gambas. The waitress did not say anything about price and took the liberty to order 4 portions of swordfish slices, knowing we have ordered 4 other antipasti, 3 pastas and a pizza, for 4 adults and 3 children. We ended up making an effort to finish everything on the table. There was certainly a conflict when reading the bill. The waitress argued that the photo I showed was for 5 portions of swordfish slices and she considerately reduced one portion given what we have already ordered . Fortunately it was finally solved in a relatively “amiable” way.

Good terrace, bad food, plastic glasses and tablecloth that does not hold on a table when it's windy. I strongly suggest to avoid this place.

This a great place, with amazing views over the pennisula. Everything is immaculate and there is really care and attention paid to the service and quality of food and drinks. It's located on the beautiful village square.

Despite no reservation the staff quickly set a table for us outside. The view was magnificent, the food good, large portions, perfect place for a family meal with our kids.

This was a great experience! This restaurant sits atop a short drive up from the beach area, and its specialty is seafood and pizza. Portion wise, these are family portions, to share. For travellers not from the area, consider this when ordering. "In Sicily, do as Sicilians!" and enjoy the experience! Yes, the pizza comes with a load of cheese, but the ingredients are well selected; our hosts selected a variety of busiate pasta seafood dishes, based off mussels, clams or shrimps. We also tried the tonno agridolce, which was delicious.

Ok so we just arrived in Scutari, Sicily and our lovely air bnb hosts recommended we come here for dinner. I have to admit I haven’t had an amazing dinner in Sicily in the last week we have been here….until tonight. Seafood Ravioli 5 stars, my wife had the kingfish which was melt in your mouth. Did I mention the sunset was sublime? We will be eating here for the next 4 nights. 45 euro for ravioli, kingfish, a salad, 1/2 litre of red wine and one frizzante. We just love this place. Not fancy but amazing seafood

The view was incredible, however that's where the good things stop, it might be slightly unfair as we only speak English. The food came out in a strange order, the order was incorrect and the food was not great. The pizzas were very thick and an incredible amount of cheese.

Opens only 20:00, NOT 19:00 like on google and other sites. Unfortunately we had to leave and missed a potentially good dinner :(
