Nestled in the charming village of Siculiana, Castello Chiaramonte is a captivating destination that feels like stepping into a fairy tale. Visitors rave about the warm hospitality of the staff, who go above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable experience, even for those with limited Italian. The castle offers an informative audio guide available in multiple languages, allowing guests to delve into its rich history and explore each beautifully preserved room adorned with period pieces.
It was a magical day, the staff was so friendly and accommodating to us American traveler's with very limited Italian. To visit my Grandmother's homeland and Siculiana Sicily was one of the most special days of my life. The castle is every fair tale come to life and the history is rich beyond being BC! 5 stars a Sicily must see 👀 ✨️ 😍

Beautiful castle, amazing set up. If you are looking for a place to get married… you should definitely have a look at Castello Chiaramonte ! +the staff if super friendly, we had some delicious pastries !

Very intriguing place. It was about €8 to get in and take the audio tour. Worth it if you like that sort of thing. They were setting up for a wedding when we were there, so it was beautifully done up. Got a glass of wine and aperitivo from the wine bar and enjoyed a beautiful view.

We had a great time visiting the Castello. The host was so kind and helpful. We were able to enjoy a coffee and a sweet before checking out the area. The audio guide was available in a multitude of languages and was informative giving history of the castle and surrounding area. We liked checking out each room too. The period pieces added to the whole experience. If you are in Siculiana or just passing through, it’s worth a stop.

We are on a motorbike "adventure" coming from Malta and decided to pick a direction and go. Had no clue this place existed when we came across it. The place seems catered towards weddings and events but it's very well kept and worth a quick tour of you're in the area. Not much else to see in the village as far as we could tell

You will find the adjacent streets very well cared for and embellished with works of art explained on explanatory panels. Inside there is a true treasure of Sicilian culture and beyond. (Translated by Google) Excellent destination for an "out of town trip"! A lovely museum in the historic center of Siculiana, set in a context of narrow streets redeveloped through artistic installations that make the neighborhood welcoming and stimulating. A well-kept space that tells the story of the area with its traditions, uses and customs, ranging from agricultural-pastoral ones to daily life and the crafts of the past, and a large section dedicated to the Garibaldi era and in particular to Giuseppe Basile from Sicily, to whom the Museum is dedicated. Nestled in the charming town of Siculiana, the Santuario del Santissimo Crocifisso is a hidden gem that captivates visitors with its rich history and serene atmosphere. This ancient church houses a revered black crucifix, believed to have miraculous powers. Legend has it that during its transport from Burgio, a blind man regained his sight upon encountering the crate containing the crucifix, leading to its permanent home in Siculiana after locals won a spirited challenge for custody.

Nice and friendly town and place to visit. One of the most interesting things was the overlook towards the Castello Chiaramonte that dates back to the 14th Century and the Santuario de SS Crocifisso with its magnificent altar and Batistero 14C. Nice place to grab a coffee and even some lunch

(Translated by Google) Very beautiful and very old church. Inside there is a crucifix with a black Christ, much venerated by the inhabitants of Siculiana. It is said that the crucifix was commissioned by the inhabitants of nearby Burgio. During transport, the crate stopped in Siculiana and a miracle occurred here: a blind man regained his sight after sitting on the crate containing the crucifix. The inhabitants of Siculiana challenged those of Burgio to keep the crucifix and won. Every year, in the first days of May, the crucifix with the black Christ is carried in procession. The loggia above the entrance to the nave also houses a magnificent pipe organ from 1939, restored and fully functional. (Original) Chiesa molto bella e molto antica.

The first courses are very good and the service is classic, from times gone by, which I appreciate! 4 stars because, seriously, guys... in 2025, they're still bringing those mixed platters with the arugula as a base, all ruined, and the cured meats and cheeses as if they'd been eaten by a dog and then put on the platter. Please, you can do better than this, all those who continue to make this senseless and loveless thing... YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS, it doesn't take much! I hope to return and be surprised. The prices of the first courses are a bit high, but that's now the norm with restaurateurs, luckily the stuff was available here and maybe it was worth it :) (Original) Posto davvero particolare, direi che le foto che si trovano in giro, non rendano giustizia alla realtà :)! (Translated by Google) Very bad experience. 8 of us went on the evening of the 14th. When we arrived at 9.15pm or 9.30pm we had already ordered the drinks (quickly) from one of the waiters who dealt exclusively with that. At 9.45pm ordered 8 pizzas, arrived at 11.45pm. In the meantime, during the wait, when asked how much longer we would have to wait, we heard the reply "it's not our fault if other customers arrived earlier", the pizza chef instead replied "you will certainly have dinner before midnight", and others indefinite moans. And finally, what could have made the evening end well, pizza, not even that... It's absurd that there are still places that work with poor quality material. Crispy dough (and some people may like it, but this isn't Neapolitan) and really, really poor quality ingredients. It's been years since I tasted such an acidic sauce on pizza (mine Margherita) and a truly silicone-like food preparation (passed off as mozzarella). I'm sorry but this review is also polite. (Original) Pessima esperienza.

What a suprising place! The crew doesn’t speak english but they did their best to make us feel like guests at their home. We had couple of delicious drinks and the best and most suprising carbonara I’ve ever had. I higly reccomend this place.

Thar bar / restaurant had a special ambiente, as it was on 2 floors in a residential zone. As starter we had a delicious veal carpaccio with rucola & parmesan. As main course we had 2 burger: the double beef burger and the lamb burger, both were really good. Staff was friendly, toilets were clean. The moscow mule was ok, had a little too much ginger in it. It was cheap tough (5 euro).

Italian restaurant
Accademia del Buon Gusto is a restaurant located in a 13th-century watchtower at Hotel Foresteria Baglia della Luna. It's known for its delightful Sicilian dishes and has received high praise from visitors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, even allowing customers to order off the menu during non-meal times. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is stunning and intimate with a view of the valley of the temples.
Had a great experience here. The staff were super friendly. The food was good and down to earth. Seems like most people who eat here are staying at the hotel? They were a little surprised to see us (Americans) but it made it more enjoyable, especially being able to try speaking a little Italian.

Nice place. i am happy with the food and the price. The price is just a little higher than other restaurants but it is worth. The staff, especially the lady that was there responsible for the orders was very nice. There is a small cute garden and You will have the view of the valle dei templi at night while you are having dinner. The final part of the road after you leave the main road to arrive there, is not asphalt.

Fabulous service! The waiters were polite and professional, ready to accommodate our requests. The food was impeccable! We sat in the garden and had our dinner with an incredible view that no even pictures can describe! Amazing

Very unique place to eat. Full of Cafe motorcycle bikes the owner had previously ridden. I would stop there again.

Excellent food, staff and view overlooking the temples by night. That was the fruit cake prepared by the chef in person for a special even in our group. Super recommend!

The staff was so kind to us. We had not eaten all day and although they were between meal service they took us in and we were able to order off of the considerable starter menu. The food was delicious and they saved the day for us! Bravo!!
