Aiguille du Midi is a 3,842-meter summit in the Mont Blanc massif, easily accessible year-round via cable car from Chamonix. The area offers a range of activities for all types of travelers, from visiting the highest gourmet restaurant in town to embarking on adventurous experiences like climbing Mont Blanc or taking a helicopter ride over glaciers.
Absolutely amazing, once in a life time. Unique weather at 8 am, 4 degrees Celsius. At this altitude you are slow when you walk on the terraces.
Irma G — Google review
Just out of this world experience. The views are absolutely stunning. The facilities are amazing considering the height. Multiple decks for panoramic views. Do keep in mind that the oxygen level will be low and some might feel a bit dizzy. Once in a life time experience,
Saqib S — Google review
Your amazing ride starts in the center of chamonix, there you will take the most thrilling cable car ride if you life. With the best views, grass that turns u to snow, and trees that turn into massive cliffs. Aguille du midi is a must for everyone. The views at the top are truly out of this world and make you seem so small. Would recommend to everyone visiting chamonix. Give out of five stars
Itay R — Google review
Excellent view of the Alps from here. We were fortunate that the sky were clear. The view is better than the one we experienced in Jungfraujoch.
Chris L — Google review
Wow!!! Just stunning. Exceptional views 360. Will do again. Review will not do any justice. You just have to go. Nice cafe as well. Stairs from elevator to cafe was a bit of a drag in the thin air. Wife’s lips turned purple from lack of oxygen. Be aware of the signs.
Olav H — Google review
Absolutely astonishing views from the top. A must visit location in Chamonix!! It's pricey but worth each cent. Turnaround ticket for adult is 95€. Check the webcam before to make sure that it is sunny on the top as the weather differs alot and clouds in the valley do not mean clouds on top.
Alexei O — Google review
Incredible view . The beauty is breathtaking. You can see the highest peak in Europe from afar. Many people paragliding here. It is a must-visit place in life.
Kenny Y — Google review
If you're looking for a place that makes you feel both tiny and infinite at the same time, Aiguille du Midi is it. From the moment the cable car lifts you out of Chamonix, you're not just gaining altitude — you're entering another world. The ride itself is jaw-dropping: in just 20 minutes, you ascend from 1,035m to a dizzying 3,842m, passing glaciers, jagged peaks, and views that look like they were painted by the gods. At the summit, the panorama is surreal — Mont Blanc looms majestically, and on a clear day, you can see into Italy and Switzerland. The highlight? Le Pas dans le Vide — a glass box suspended over a vertical drop. Step in if you dare, and prepare for your knees to wobble while your Instagram explodes. Facilities are surprisingly good for such altitude: there's a café, viewing platforms, and even an elevator to the upper terrace. Just remember to dress warmly — the air is thin and crisp, even in summer. Whether you're a mountaineer, photographer, or just a dreamer, Aiguille du Midi is a must-see. It's not just a viewpoint — it's a spiritual altitude adjustment.

Such an awesome place! The food was delicious, the staff super friendly, very good prices and the best of all…the view! Will definitely come back!

Portion size is ridiculous small. Especially considering the price. Do not go if you are hungry or want a proper meal. The quality of food is good and we don't mind the price but this is war time rations level. Breath taking views, but it's hard to enjoy while starving. Staff is correct but not overly friendly.
Nick — Google review
Just popped in to ask if they also served fries (kids were hungry), too bad the kitchen was closed. Very friendly staff, it looks cozy inside with an awesome view. It also has very nice seating outside. The menu looked pricey, but the overall impression is class French cuisine.
Dennis W — Google review
I really don’t understand how this restaurant gets such good reviews. I came here two days in a row, only to be turned away both times. The first day, we were refused service because ‘the kitchen was closed’—even though the restaurant was still open for another 45 minutes. The next day, we arrived at 3:45 PM, but again were refused because apparently the kitchen closes at 3:00 PM. What kind of restaurant closes its kitchen two hours before closing time? To make it worse, the staff was far from polite. Highly overrated and definitely not recommended!
Mirela P — Google review
Together with my son during a morning mountain bike ride, we decided to do a coffee/limonade break and enjoy the incredible Mont-Blanc view in Plaine-Joux before the descent. The chef was preparing some pie crust and we engaged the discussion around home-made versus factory-made and I was happy to learn that mostly everything was home-made in this restaurant and that they were assembling everything from raw ingredients sourced when possible locally. Thanks to the great discussion, we decided to book for the next day for dinner with my wife and we can just confirm the quality of the food and the incredible taste of the home made blueberry pie... We had an incredible sun set yesterday evening and colors that were amazing and I'll try to attach a picture if possible. The personnel were extremely friendly and they kindly offered small blankets when it started to be a little bit fresh outside. All in all, probably one of the best dinner experiences with incredible scenery. We do recommend and the prices are really honest and correct if you compare the offer around !! And the cherry on the cake is that I could have a fondue only for one person... This place is a must do if you are around.
Mounir D — Google review
Amazing scenery, great staff, fantastic views, incredible food, Unreal decor, Fabulous Drinks... Damn just hit my daily positively, I feel down now, luckily I have a few bad reviews to cheer me up!
Patrick M — Google review
Time is passing by and (bad) spirit remains the same unfortunately... I showed up in the morning with my little girl to book a table for midday. Instead of being friendly and welcoming the lady that own the place was just really rude finding any reason to not allow me to book a proper table : none of them were booked... Restaurant to be avoided at any price! Dear owner, if you want people spend their money at your place, at least be NICE...
No R — Google review
The staff was extremely rude; we got there near their closing time after a very long and hard drive through heavy fog, with 6 wet and cold children. Instead of simply explaining to us that they are closing, the host shouted at us to leave in French, and didn't even bother to notice that we do not understand what she's saying as we are not French speakers. Worst experience ever.

Le Centre RESTAURANT - BRASSERIE is a welcoming and unpretentious place that pleasantly surprises visitors with its very good cuisine. The menu offers a variety of choices, including the highly recommended Reblochon tartiflette. While some dishes like the fondue may not meet expectations, the overall service is impeccable. The friendly owner and cook add to the pleasant dining experience by taking time to chat with guests at the end of their meal.
Great place to get married......that's at the Marie next door. The café and restaurant as still the best in the area .Staff are super friendly ,the view is exceptional and the food at lunch time is great. Need to get there early or reserve as it's often full. Great bakers across the road .

Arrived here to find an extremely rude woman refuse to listen to us, treat us with disrespect and tell us bluntly that there was a 20 minute wait. The empty tables around the restaurant told the story. Shame it’s the only place in Passy.

(Translated by Google) Half-hearted opinion I came to this restaurant twice, the first time testing the fondue where the cheese and wine used did not mix, then testing the vegetarian burger served with very few potatoes and whose ingredients present in too large quantities did not bind together. It's not great cuisine but this restaurant can do the job for lunch!

This is a brilliant tree high ropes adventure course with multiple different routes for varying levels of height and difficulty. It’s such a picturesque spot and a fantastic variety of zip wire lengths and climbing challenges with each route, which keeps each one new and exciting. The courses go over streams and over beautiful flowerbeds which in the spring made it feel extra picturesque. Plus you get a unique view of Lac Passy and the surrounding snow-capped mountains from the treetops. I came with kids aged 8 & 10 and they both got so much out of the different sections of the course. The giant airbag is also a super fun additional thrill. The staff were so friendly, informative and helpful and quickly came to help when my son got stuck at the end of a zip wire and needed to boost himself onto the best platform. We felt very safe and the whole site was well maintained, solidly built and very clean, neat and tidy. We had such a good time trying out the green, both blue and one of the two red routes. We decided the longer of the two red routes was our limit as the climbing all section was bit too much of a stretch for my ten year old who felt he wasn’t quite tall enough to brave it - something to come back for another time. We paid €66 for the three of us to have unlimited access up to the red routes and some goes on the giant air bag which was fantastic value for 3 hours of climbing fun - we could have stayed longer so it was definitely great value for money. There are cold drinks, coffees, waffles and other snacks available and toilets close by as well as plenty of seating and picnic table facilities for spectators.

We had such a great time we went back another day. Really well run and organised. Instructors are really good and are very reassuring. My 5 yr old and 7 yr old loved it. Mary was brilliant. Good value too.

Visited during first week of August 2025 with family. With the majestic view of Mount Blanc in the background and crystal clear water in the lake gives the soul satisfying moment. Opposite to this lake across the road, there is a rocky terrain. This lake is having a walk way fully covering the lake and also activities for kids and adults at the lake end with beach like formation. There is also boating and water sports in the lake with sufficient restaurants with quality food. You can easily spend around a day if you are participating in the adventure activities and a stroll around the lake . Not much crowd and away from the highway noises. It is hardly less than an hours drive from Chamonix.
Sundararajan V — Google review
Tree adventures for all the family. Different coloured routes provide challenges at increasing heights for different ages. Our 5 year old enjoyed light and dark green. Light blue was good for an adventurous 7 year old and even grown-ups. Put on your harness, clip-in and explore through balancing, crawling, edging and zip-lining. Even more colours to try next time.
Stephen H — Google review
It's wasn't busy in the shortly after opening. we had most of the course to ourselves! Lots of different routes, difficulty is fine for my 11 year old, lots of cable "death rides"
Rik H — Google review
This is a brilliant place for all ages! My 1, 9 and 11 year old and I had a great time! My 1 year old enjoyed the park, ball pit and slide. My 9 and 11 year old and I enjoyed the high ropes which we did for over 2 hours! The courses gradually increase in difficulty and height and you can do the levels based on your own height. For the 9 year old there was still so much to climb and lots of different courses. It’s priced so reasonably, the staff are so friendly and helpful and they sell some good snacks too!
Louise B — Google review

I did the 'red' route with my 12 and 14 years old children and they loved it. There are lots of zip lines which were the highlight. Good value for money compared to how much time you can spend there. The trails are well thought through and seem well maintained with a high degree of safety. Staff were friendly and spoke decent English. It was busy but there was never any queueing.

Great experience with my 8 old year old son that thought he was captain, saluting the other boats and shouting “hard to port” with the admiralty in waiting…. Mont Blanc Plage is a picturesque camping spot nestled in the heart of a valley, offering breathtaking views of Mont Blanc. While some visitors found it to be a peaceful and stunning location with friendly hosts, others noted that it could benefit from modernization. The campsite provides essential amenities and is pet-friendly, making it an ideal choice for nature enthusiasts. However, noise from the nearby motorway and railway may affect tent campers. Additionally, there are opportunities for various outdoor activities nearby.
Magical site with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Lovely restaurant by the lake or there are lots of shops a short cycle/drive away. The owners were friendly, helpful and courteous. You have to accept some noise from the road and railway but otherwise this place is perfect.

Such a shame-the location had spectacular views which was the reason we chose go come here as a family. We had been told by other guests recommendations that they had taken their dogs to the outdoor eating area so we decided to go for some food and drink as it was boiling hot and when we got to the restaurant we were turned away as "no dogs allowed". The toilet block we chose to park by for ease of use was completely closed. A family /baby wash area was described but nothing of the sort. The bins to use was just a skip by the main gate. The empty the toilet waste it was a green wheelie bin with a hole in it. Abysmal for the cost-stayed in free sites with better amenities.
Bianca I — Google review
The actual campsite was great. The lake was cool too with the slide. Toilets were not very clean and did not have bins in the female toilets which seems like an extremely poor choice and extremely inconvenient. The service was extremely terrible. The lady that worked at the reception was extremely rude. She was extremely unpleasant. She made it seem like a major inconvenience to throw a hoop in the lake to someone struggling to swim; she even called them stupid. Extremely unnecessary especially for someone who is drowning. She wouldn't even give water after they asked when they came out the lake and were struggling.

Great views, very dated facilities. Not at all dog friendly, dogs not allowed in bar terrace despite the owners having their own dogs there. Very noisy and quite smelly at times. Would not recommend to anyone with dogs, lake adjacent was ok for dogs early morning or late in the afternoon. Railway is a 30 mins walk but worth it to get into chamonix
Loftus A — Google review
Had a week of camping here, plenty of pitches, plenty of facilities, a tad noisy as it's near a big road but tbh you don't notice it after 5 mins. Nice swimming lake next to it, with a bar and good food. Close to everywhere including sallanches which has a Carrefour, Aldi and Lidl. All in all a great stay
James H — Google review
Absolutely stunning spot to camp. The owner is so helpful and kind, even rang around garages so we could get our van fixed. We preferred it to staying in the centre of chamonix as we avoided the crowds and had this lake and amazing view to come back to. So peaceful. Great for dogs and the added bonus of another lake right next door with a number of different activities. Coming back every year for sure! Great prices too.

A brilliant nature reserve, we stayed for just one night on a journey. My husband and our son in a tent. l know there was the noise of frogs but l loved it, to keep our truck window open and to be in nature is great but not for everyone. I agree with the owner when the smallest of nature has gone so are we, l had a lovely night without mosquitoes here, these being part of the frog food chain, please make homes for bats everyone! Clean, lovely welcome. Thank you for all you do.
Stevie K — Google review
Its a good camping! During the beginning of June there are some frogs because of the mating season, so beware of those sounds. It’s difficult to sleep since its only during the night. The owners were very nice and the sanitary building was clean. The highway didn’t irritate me and the trains stop at night. This camping is great for the high season because when it’s hot it’s very easy to swim in the private lake (also the frogs) The restaurant however was probably not worth it, it’s a bit expensive but compared to other restaurants in this region it’s okay. Also, I’m sorry for my earlier review, I barely slept so it was hard to see more of the positives. I really do like your camping and I would recommend.

The Église Notre-Dame-de-Toute-Grâce, located on the Plateau d’Assy in the French Alps, is a masterpiece of modern religious architecture. Built between 1937 and 1946, it was designed by Maurice Novarina and is renowned for its groundbreaking combination of traditional forms with modernist art. Highlights: • Art and Architecture: The church features contributions from renowned 20th-century artists like Henri Matisse, Marc Chagall, Fernand Léger, and Georges Rouault, showcasing vibrant stained glass, mosaics, and sculptures. • Interior Beauty: The use of bold colors and light creates a serene yet inspiring atmosphere, blending spirituality with modern art. • Location: Nestled in the Alps, it offers stunning mountain views, making it a unique spiritual and cultural destination. Why Visit: The Église Notre-Dame-de-Toute-Grâce stands as a remarkable example of modern sacred art, offering visitors a chance to admire both its architectural innovation and its breathtaking alpine setting. It’s a must-visit for art enthusiasts, architecture lovers, and those seeking a peaceful escape.
Dani B — Google review
The mistake is to visit the church for its architecture—the building design is rightfully criticized for the overly-heavy external pillars supporting the gable of a wood roof and a campanile way out of proportion for the church (on the plus side, it makes good use of local materials). The true genius of the structure, the reason it’s a must-see, was Father Marie-Alain Couturier (1897-1954) decision to commission the best artists available, regardless of faith. As he was quoted: “We believed that it was our duty to procure for God and our faith the best art of the present.”
Bobak H — Google review
Excellent visit and it was great to visit the church on a sunny autumn day with coloured leaves. It is a real pearl.
V Z — Google review
Lovely and peaceful. Was not expecting a contemporary feel and someone drew a lovely pic on the visitor book.
Trisha T — Google review
This church as a building is an impressive artistical landmark. The outside is already unconventional and inviting with its large front mosaic. Whenever you have the chance to go inside you'll be surrounded with arts in all forms (sculpture, fresco, wood carving, stained glass, tapestries...). A guided tour can give you all the insights of the places and masterpieces. But even for few minutes and just with a short look inside you'll probably be astonished about the beauty and uniqueness of this place.

The church of Notre-Dame de Toute Grâce du Plateau d'Assy (Our Lady Full of Grace of the Plateau d'Assy) is a Roman Catholic church. Was constructed between 1937 and 1946. It faces Mont Blanc. It was constructed by Jean Devémy and designed by the Savoyard architect Maurice Novarina. The church is famous for its decoration, contributed by some of the best-known artists of the twentieth century. Paintings, sculptures, tapestries, stained glass, ceramics, and mosaics at the church were made by Pierre Bonnard, Fernand Léger, Jean Lurçat, his student Paul Cosandier, Germaine Richier, Georges Rouault, Jean Bazaine, Henri Matisse, Georges Braque, Jacques Lipchitz, Marc Chagall, Constant Demaison, Ladislas Kijno, Claude Mary, Carlo Sergio Signori, and Théodore Strawinsky. The free car parking is located about 100 meters from the church, near the main road. Entrance is free.

Dose anyone have info what time is the Holy Mass in this church?

Very unusual and interesting chapel with art by Matisse and Chagall in it. Also an occasion to have lunch at Korrigan, a 5 min walk away in Plateau D'Assy, at 1011 Av de Dr.Jacques Arnaud. Great set lunch for 14 euros, a darts board and many games. Set us up great for a visit to Plaine Joux, a beautiful snow bowl and national park, a ten minute drive up the road.

It has potential, but a lot more care needs to be taken of planting and watering. Has educational value, but as a destination for anyone interested in horticulture you'd be better off driving an hour to visit La Jaysinia Inn the centre of Samoëns.
