A stunning place to visit. Just a few minutes walk from the train station, and you are in breath-taking scenery. There are lots of different walking trails. Dotted around the loch, there are children's play areas. There is also a castle and walled garden that you can explore. The nearest toilets are at the castle. There were picnic tables. There are hard surface paths around the loch. These are wheelchair accessible. Dog walking off lead is allowed.

This is amazingly beautiful place to do hiking, chilling by the water or doing water activities, it has it all covered. Little place called Luss, was a brilliant spot for us. Has got boat tours, little cafe and shop, parking and petrol station, town streets and houses are postcard perfect, the beach with white sand. Amazing experience. Weather in the morning didn't promise a nice day, but later sunshine appeared and it was lovely.

Breathtaking! A cross between North Carolina and Colorado. We came through in March and I can only imagine what the scenery is like here in the summer and fall. We were able to see a tremendous variety of flora and fauna, from vast swatches of some of the largest daffodils I have ever seen, to wild Scottish Red Deer, which look similar to a North American Elk. The weather, while cold and damp, was almost perfect for the time of year we visited. This is a bucket list item, for sure!

Truly a beautiful lake, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I can really tell the Scottish people take real good care of the lake too. Well worth a visit.

We were staying in Stirling and went on a day trip to see this area. It was amazing to see the beautiful highland landscapes and lowland rolling hills & drive through the villages.

Camping is allowed in this area as its outwith the Loch Lomond and Trossachs no camping zone. Parking at the Balquhidder church this route takes about an hour and a half walking. There isn't many good pitches at Lochan Eireannaich but I managed to find a good one.

Although far for most Englanders, this is a place of extraordinary beauty. Whether you like watersports, or hiking. Quick tips: 1. Always carry midge spray. Avoid DEET though. Midges usually are the biggest annoyance in and around the area. 2. If you booked a water taxi, make sure you call them ahead of schedule if the jeti they will pick you up from is busy.

Another great spot for Family. Toilets a bit far though and up the hill. Lovely play parks and lots of open green space to play all sorts of sports games or just to chill on a blanket. Stunning views. Very clear water. The only downside for us it was quite a lot of broken glass on the beach and my girls love walking bare feet. Staff tries their best to keep it clean but it is up to us actually to leave no print behind.

First time in this park despite my many visits over the years to Balloch. Wanted to go for picturesque dog walk & was not disappointed. Perfect time of year at autumn . Will be back more often 👌🏻

Great place for a walk and picnic. Stunning views of loch lomond. Grounds are spotlessand well maintained. The castle is closed to the public but if you have an interest in history or just like to visit beautiful buildings then its worth a visit if in the area. Public toilets are in the castle. If you walk down the hill towards the pier there is a kiosk if you want to grab an ice cream.

A lovely castle that is sadly rotting away. You are able to walk around the outside, and there are toilets available. The toilets were in good condition. It should be noted they close at 2.30 pm during the winter. There is a hard surface path to the castle, but it is up a hill, so it would depend on the wheelchair type and fitness of the user.

I find this park to be a wonderful spot with breathtaking views of Loch Lomond, scenic walking paths, and wide open areas perfect for picnicking or unwinding. Very clean and green area. Parking is big and free, there is a huge playground for the kids, cafe and ice cream shop

We were staying in Stirling and went on a day trip to see this area. We parked in the castle parking area for free anc walked around the ruins of the 13th century castle. It was barricaded. We walked the path leading to Loch Lomond and enjoyed the views. There was a playground near the lake and our kids & grandkids enjoyed the play set.

Joined a really nice hour long cruise onto Loch Lomond. All staff were great and boat was nice a spacious with outdoor seating upstairs and indoor seating downstairs. The boat had a wee cafe serving drinks and snacks and toilets were available too. Throughout the voyage there were audio descriptors of what we were passing on the shore. Overall a really nice cruise out onto the loch and well worth a visit.

I bought tickets for this Loch Lomond 2 hours trip on Get your Guide - I use them frequently and it’s quick and easy. The Cruise itself was brilliant , it covered a good area of the south of the lake with informative and interesting commentary. The staff were professional, friendly and very polite, And the views are stunning, I wholeheartedly recommend this tour .

An amazing relaxing journey an this huge lake which is about 23 miles. I had 2hrs tour and had a awsome time. Take your own food and munch with you and keep your camera ready for some awsome shots. Please note this tour is recommended for those who would like to have a piece and water travel.

We went on a 2 hour trip on Loch Lomond with Sweeney's Cruises. It was a perfect afternoon and an excellent way to see the Loch from a different perspective. It really made our holiday and I would tell everyone to take the time to do a trip if visiting Loch Lomond. The boat was good and the commentary was excellent it gave us an insight into the lochs history. You can have refreshments from the bar on board but we enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate before we boared at the cafe/bar on the quayside.

It was a relaxing and invigorating experience. The cruise itself was wonderful, the sights beautiful and the staff helpful. There were lots of people; children and dogs, but it was not disruptive. There was also a reasonably priced bar on board and my friends and I got hot drinks.

So friends and very well done commentaries! They are all pre-recorded and perfectly times so the sound quality is great and you never are struggling to hear on awkward headphones and what not. Plus each boat has a nice little snack bar for drinks and food.

Nice wee 1 hour afternoon tour. Lovely staff & thoroughly enjoyed it. Went below deck due to the weather. Don't let the rain stop you tho. Good selection of drinks on board. Enjoyed the Loch Lomond whisky & the local shortbread was awesome. You should treat yourself... Good price & dog friendly. Also the Monkey Bar (shipping container quite funky) next to the mooring with outdoor seating.

Lovely little aquarium in a stunning location! Visited with family and really enjoyed it. The ocean tunnel with sharks and rays was a definite highlight, and we loved seeing the otters and the rescued sea turtle. The touch pool was great for kids, and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. It’s not a huge place—you can see everything in about an hour—but it’s well laid out and perfect for younger kids. The views from the café and rooftop are amazing too. Book online for a better price and it’s totally worth it!

Well worth a visit but not as big as you think. We thought we would be in here exploring for hours but it’s all indoors and a relatively small aquarium. It’s over 4 floors but only the ground floor is the aquarium and shop. Floor 1 is a kids cinema, floor 2 is a cafe and floor 3 is a viewing platform over the loch. The aquarium has several areas of small tanks that show you a range of fish and crustaceans from around the world. The tanks are beautifully clean and you really get to see them in all their magnificence. There is one larger tank where you can see larger sea creatures such as manta rays and see the story of a turtle that was rescued. It’s a really nice place to visit but deceptively small when compared to the building. All staff were really nice and they advised us to book online when at the till which we did as it’s cheaper than paying at the door which we never understand. Overall a great location but we explored it all in under an hour.

This aquarium is genuinely lovely, and a great break if you’ve got some classic Scottish weather on your day out. I am a wheelchair user and found the aquarium to be pretty accessible, although you can checkout my review on RollMobility for more info. Its got some rough terrain inside, the way some aquariums like to be cute and create textures like bridges and pebbles in the floor. That being said, none of it was very intense or dramatic and I was able to manage alright. They have spacious elevators throughout. You may encounter a wait for the disabled restroom given the number of families. Lots of stuff is easily viewable and *touchable * from a seated position so like I really genuinely recommend it.

Great wee day out with my girl who's just turned 7. She loves learning and got to touch a starfish in the rock pool and loved seeing all the sea creatures. Was just gutted otters weren't out but they are new and shy. Definitely a good wee afternoon to be had...but it isn't the cheapest. By time U buy tickets and the photos (if U like) and get some food it's easily 70 quid.

Sealife Centre Loch Lomond is a great place, we visited last weekend as needed something inside due to the awaful weather. A lovely range of fish and other sea life in very well presented tanks. At £21 per adult, it is unfortunately rather on the expensive side. It would be good if they could broaden the use of the cinema, perhaps alternating between a kids thing and an adult thing, I for one would have liked a film about Loch Lomond and it's loch-life. Cafe staff were helpful with offering a gluten free alternative (tacos) for with the soup, though would be nice to have gluten free bread or rolls available.

This is more of a kiddies experience. But it was not dull either. The Loch sea life were beautiful to behold and my favourites were the clown fishes and tiny sea horses. A good and educative experience but a bit anticlimactic.

Lovely place, but extreamly small. Prices were way to high for 30 minute of waking around. There is a cinema with octonouts playing, but I would recommend it for younger kids up to 7 years old. Cafe and viewing balcony were great, good localisation.

Beautiful Scenery and Relaxing Atmosphere Visited Loch Lomond Shores recently and really enjoyed the natural beauty of the place. There’s a good mix of shops, cafés, and small attractions, which makes it a nice spot for families or a quiet day out. Parking was convenient, though a bit busy during peak hours. Some areas could do with a bit more maintenance, but overall the place felt welcoming and safe. A lovely spot to unwind and take in some classic Scottish scenery — just don't expect a full outdoor adventure unless you head further into the national park.

There's a shopping mall at the shore with shops and restaurants. There's a mini golf and an aquarium. There's also kayaking and boat cruises. Lovely view from the shore

Beautiful place! Long walks either side, during the spring/summer lots of water activites. During the end of summer is the food festival and near Christmas, is the Markets! Lots of parking, both coach and cars. Worth visiting to see the Ben in the distance.

I liked it here. Free parking. Some nice shops, large cafe and boat trips. I had a short walk around to the marina and back.

Haven't been here for many years and nice to see it is still up and running. Nice array of shops with the smaller gift and souvenirs type store to designer and labels. 2 cafes in centre and heaps of parking outside. The toilets were immaculate, child, nursing and disability friendly. Great location on the Loch with Sea Life Centre, Crazy Golf, Tours ticket office and Markets on 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. The Loch Lomond Bird of Prey centre is only 100 mtrs away also.

Took my 6-year-old and 3-year-old on this magical trail, and they absolutely loved every minute of it! From the start, we were handed a lovely little activity pack that included a pencil, a wristband, a sticker, and a booklet with a map and full of fun clues and riddles to guide us along the path. Throughout the trail, there were delightful surprises at every turn—fairy ornaments, whimsical wooden cabins and sculptures, glittering treasure chests, and charming stops where the children could solve riddles or simply explore. It really sparked their imagination and curiosity. Do note: if it’s been raining recently, I highly recommend children wear Wellington boots, as some parts can get muddy. The trail isn’t suitable for pushchairs, so little ones should be able to walk most of the way. As an adult, I also appreciated the peaceful setting, spotting different species of trees, plants, and insects along the way. It took us about two hours to complete the trail at a relaxed pace. While my 6-year-old had no trouble finishing, my 3-year-old was definitely worn out by the end—but still smiling! A fantastic outdoor experience for families with young children—highly recommended for a bit of woodland magic and adventure. The lady at the reception point was also very friendly and helpful. If you wish you can also buy fairy wands or biodegradable glitter for the kids.

Lovely trail for all ages, has a few steep sections but over all a beautiful experience

This was a good walk, make sure you have suitable footwear, we bought a map from the little hut. The kids enjoyed it, helped tire them out and visited the animals at the end.

Dont bother, its a public path (dog walkers etc freely walking in) and its £££. Go to the haggis hunt instead, its free, theres a small play area and visitor centre with crafts and a lovely pub. Also staff are rude. They make you wait for your time slot....to walk a public path!! Fuming doesnt cover it

Worth the visit, such a well planned and thoughtful trail.

I visited the trail with my husband and our 7 year old daughter in the school holidays. We aren’t from round the area so we didn’t know what to expect. We arrived and were welcomed by a lovely member of staff who talked us through everything we needed to know. Our daughter purchased some fairy dust which was a lovely extra and we set off on our way. The trail had been well thought out . You can tell a lot of effort has gone into it! The route was well sign posted too. We all thoroughly enjoyed the trail. Lots of lovely little touches a long the way. A really lovely experience for all ages. The animals at the end were also a lovely little extra. We would recommend!! We hope to back in the future!

This isn't just for children, boyfriend and I went and had a lot of fun following the trail and filling in the booklet. Went here to break up a journey from Fort William to Carlisle as something a little different; it took is around 1 hour 10 to get round. Trail not challenging so doesn't distract from the fun. Fairy houses are beautiful and more then enough sculptures and hidden treasurest to keep it fun and interactive. Would recommend for any ages.

Stayed here for one night whilst on the way to invernrss via fort William. Unfortunately the weather prevented us an afternoon on Loch lomond. However the staff at the Tullie were great, very welcoming and helpful. Drinks were reasonably priced and good selection. Had the Sunday dinner which again was reasonably priced and delicious. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Very good selection at breakfast with a delicious Scottish breakfast.

My family have been visiting the Tullie Inn for several years now and have gotten to know the staff well. A big shout out to Debbie. Mary,Kim and the two lovely lads who have attended to us,treated us so well,shared a bit of humour and have been professional to a fault. The Tullie is undergoing some management changes and to be honest something felt very different on our last visit. Lighter,fresher. Debbie for one is very excited about the upcoming changes. I alwsys think that speaks volumes about a manager. Folks I think we need to visit here at Christmas for a truly magical experience!!

Just eaten at Tullie Inn, Balloch and it was delightful. Had tomato and basil soup for starter - nicest soup I've tasted!!!! I chose Butternut squash ravioli for main course with truffle oil and that too was delicious. Service was perfect as well - charming experience all round and moderately priced meal which was simply great.

Sunday Lunch amazing food here had the family feast plater for 4 people. So much food and extra roast potatoes free if you ask. Relaxing atmosphere very friendly staff. All round great place to dine.

Stopped in before the trip back to Glasgow. Ordered 3 of the chicken burgers that came with skin on fries...absolutely delicious. Relaxed atmosphere and quick service. Definitely recommended.

A lovely warm and welcoming hotel. Our room was cozy and pretty. The American receptionist was very helpful and immediately put us at our ease after a long journey. The staff were attentive but not intrusive which we appreciated. Located perfectly in the lovely village of Luss. Our evening meal was delicious, especially the smoked salmon. Breakfast was tasty and hearty. I inquired about decaffeinated coffee and a generous pot appeared without further ado. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Amazing hospitality from Kitti and her team for a private function entertaining our friends from around the world. The buffet provide was superb. The staff were friendly and let us do our thing to entertain our guests by making them their guest. Lovely week had by all. The location in Luss is absolutely beautiful. This is a review of the restaurant. Last week's Sunday roast was superb -- one of the two best pub/restaurant Sunday roasts I've ever had. The quality was excellent and the quantities were generous. Both my friend and I had the roast beef.

Friendly service and generous portions but mixed reviews on the food. My baked sole was delicious but my partner’s steak was terrible. He asked for rare but arrived medium plus the chips were too salty to be eaten. The cheese board was too simple and the apple pie was soggy and not good at all. The kids meals were good though.

This was a comfortable hotel with plenty of parking. The grounds are pretty, friendly staff and your normal Scottish food. The room was comfortable. From the front of the hotel, walk straight down the road to explore the village. It is a very easy walk. When you get to the end you will see the loch. If you turn right before you reach the loch the road will bring you to an old church called Luss Parish Church. The church has very old headstones and a Viking hog back stone dating from 1263. We were able to go inside the church and were given cookies from some local women. There is a donation box for money inside the church. Walk all four sides of the church. The locals were very friendly. If I remember correctly, there were two gift shops in the village.

We were part of an organised coach trip as part of the CAMRA Glasgow and West Of Scotland branch touring the real ale pubs in Argyll and Bute. Our planning coordinator had communicated in advance of our arrival and the purpose of the visit. We had a coach of 34 people. We arrived into the bar and we weren't made to feel welcomed and our group size was too much of an inconvenience to the venue. We had a bit of an abrupt conversation with what we believed to be a duty manager. This resulted in us being told we could drink outside in the pouring rain. We decided to leave. Any pubs would chew the hand off of you to sell 1.5 pints to each of us on our short 1 hour stop and put almost £400 in the till. A very short sighted response from the venue manager on duty. As a branch we would be taking that into consideration for the Good Beer Guide to not include it given we only include pubs with good ale quality and good service in a well respected publication. Not a good effort given the rest of the pubs were ready for us and served us without any bother.

Great dog friendly pub and food. Book for a meal if you can, it does get full. We came here for a couple of drinks on our first night in the village and were welcomed with our border collie to sit inside in the comfy library or in the large beer garden (with umbrellas and heaters if required). We booked for evening meal for the following night. The food is awesome and fairly priced for the quality. Service and staff exemplary. Well done to all staff here. Thoroughly recommend.

Delicious homemade Italian food. Excellent lunch menu. Great location in Balloch and easy free parking at rear of Cucina. Hospitable and friendly staff and service. Food tasted delicious and perfect servings. The Lasagne Al Forno I must say was mouthwateringly delicious. Delightful home made with fresh salad. Really enjoyed and most definitely shall visit again. Thank you Team Cucina 😊

Very disappointing experience. The kids’ menu included unlimited soft drinks but sparkling water wasn’t covered, which felt odd. My salad was actually more expensive at lunch than on the à la carte menu and was nothing but limp greens with a bottled dressing. Pasta was overcooked, service unfriendly, and overall poor value for money. Neither tasty, healthy, nor reasonably priced. Definitely not recommended.

The food was disgusting. I don't know how they can call this Italian food when they have no idea what Italian food is. The pizza from the supermarket was awful. A supposed hamburger with vegan nuggets from the supermarket inside, without even a sauce (it couldn't have been any drier). We ordered the bruschetta as a starter because it was the only vegan option, and it was anything but bruschetta.

Cucina, oh what can I say about cucina, they have great food solid prices and a nice Italian atmosphere. We ordered the vegetable lasagna which was great it also came with a small salad and garlic bread, we also ordered the steak fillet which was cooked perfectly for our request, and the goat cheese Bruschetta which was phenomenal. Overall I highly recommend cucina for good food and fine service.

Went to their cafe next door to their Restaurant on local recommendation. Had a light lunch (we shared) which was very flavoursome indeed with soft drinks and good coffee. If the tables are all taken – they can seat you in their restaurant. The cafe was busy for a reason – it’s very good indeed and full of locals. Highly recommended.

This was a typical vintage in pub. I had Lamb Shank £25, which came in a nice red wine sauce. I could of done with a bit more sauce to be honest. My partner had a chicken schnitzel £17. She said the chips were'nt very warm. The service was quite slow, as the waitress had loads of tables to service. We wanted vinegar, which we asked for but it never arrived.

We had an amazing dinner today, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. I went for the Hunter's Chicken Schnitzel with a side of halloumi fries, while my wife chose the signature burger both dishes were absolutely delicious. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. The atmosphere in the restaurant is exactly what you’d want for a relaxing evening out warm, welcoming, and cozy. It felt inviting the moment we walked in, and it made our meal all the more enjoyable. The staff were fantastic too really friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. They made us feel well looked after throughout our visit. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food in a cozy setting with excellent service.

The ambience perfectly fits a visit to Balloch/Loch Lomond. All the dishes we ordered were on point making it overall a great meal in Scotland, special shout out to the sticky toffee pudding that couldn't have been more perfect!

We have stopped off here on the way to Inverness and it's in a beautiful setting on Loch Lomand. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked and the service has been fab. Eva has been especially helpful! The manager was really welcoming when we arrived without a booking. Perfect start to our first visit to Scotland

Stopped in on way back after getting engaged in Arrochar the night before. The perfect ending to a perfect trip. Lovely place and we will be back soon. Our wee dog was made welcome.

Manager was very welcoming to us first timers to the Balloch House. Gave us a fab seat by the fire which was kept roaring all night giving a very cosy atmosphere. I had the weekend treat menu and hubby are from a la carte. Knocked a star off as his hollindaise was missing the brown shrimp. Our server, Megan, was lovely and kept the drinks flowing. Thank you for a lovely meal - we'll recommend and be back if in the area. Tandoori chicken starter was lovely as was sea bass and fishcakes. Loved the volume of music too, not too loud to talk but made the place feel relaxed 😎

What a beautiful place to explore. Had a cruise on the lake which is a must. On a good day you can walk around the loch and climb the Ben Lomond and do a scenic walk in one of the loch’s islands. Make sure you allocate enough time to be able to do most of the activities.

Ok so the weather at the end of May was not so great ,but I drove up from Glasgow with a Loch tour booked to my amazment I got there way to early even though I had already been to Dunbarton Castle, but I asked at the kiosk if I could change my ticket and just like that the young lady siad aye there is a boat going in 5 mins so of I went on my second adventure in less than 4 hours.

Lovely scenery and it's a very large area so plenty to see if you are up for a bit of a walk

A beautiful lake, which is beautiful irrespective of the time of the day. It has boating and some water sports options to engage with the environment. Very peaceful to just sit by the side of water and let the waves (yes! Waves in the lake water) entertain you for a while.

It takes 2.5 to 3 hrs to reach the top. It's totally worth it. The scenery is beautiful, just one tip to the people who are planning to hike there are 2 routes to reach the top the route which begins from left side of car park I mean which passes through a small beach , in that route near the top of Ben Lomond it gets very steep so be careful there. The right route is easy .

One of the most pleasant and rewarding mountain hikes I have had the pleasure of completing. Of moderate difficulty and suitable for hikers of all levels if you've got the time. The summit was very windy and 10-15C colder than the bottom, so bring layers. If you decide to do the full loop via the Ptarmigan Ridge, I recommend doing it counter-clockwise as going up the eastern side was more gradual and the path was more flat. It took us 5.5 hours to do the full loop, including a pitstop for lunch at the top.

Definitely one of the better mountains in Scotland but it's also one of the busiest. Offer unbelievable views. The hike up needs a reasonable level of fitness though

Bagged my first Munro yesterday and it just had to be the beautiful Ben Lomond on the stunning loch Lomond. We went right up the shoulder and then down the ptarmigan ridge. Wow wow wow. It took is 4 hours to reach the summit including small breaks and a half hour stop at the top. 2.5 hours to descent, with equally amazing scenery. Highly recommend this as a first Munro. Only 281 to go 💙⛰️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

My first Munro! ☺️ what a lovely and rewarding mountain hike we had. You can see Loch Lomond while you hike and the views are spectacular.

A lovely hike for my first Munro. There's a couple of awkward spots but with a bit of care they are easily navigated. It's a continuous slope from start to finish. But the views at the top are stunning. We were lucky enough to do it with totally clear skies. If it has been raining extra care will be required as some of the rocks are slippery. It's also a busy walk so you definitely won't have the place to yourself.

Beautiful. The climb up to the peak is very challenging and at times I thought we should turn back. But we didn’t and I’m so glad. The views from the top are breathtakingly beautiful. There are some really tricky sections on the way up which I wouldn’t have managed without my husband’s help. Be prepared, if you’re not used to tough walking this isn’t for you. But I did it and I have a mobility problem. Take your time, don’t be in a hurry. It will get your heart pumping - literally - and take as many rest breaks as you need. It took us 8.5 hours to go to the peak and back down again, but we had allowed for that time. So glad we did it.

Great little cafe just up from the water. It has indoor and shaded outdoor seating. A wide menu for all tastes. It's got a small gift shop inside and is dog friendly, even providing complementary dog treats and water.

Best scone of my life👍. I had as well the haggis, on oir last day in Scotland, and that's totally palatable from a french point of view. Very simple dish served with mashed potatoes and melted cheese that reminds me of the aligot in Clermont Ferrand. Service is excellent, friendly waitresses, but it comes with a hefty price tag. That's the cost of reputation. Bad surprise, I got a penalty for not parking my motorcycle properly. An expensive brunch indeed.

What a great find whilst visiting Loch Lomond and stopping over in Luss. Very friendly staff, quick service, very dog friendly and lovely garden where we could eat our take away. Three choices of soups and the carrot and parsnip was homemade, hot and really tasty. Served with a slice of crusty bread. My husband had a stokie ( filled bap) which was really good. We highly recommend this cafe.

It was a bit crowded, but the food and coffee were great. Just browsing the pretty items for sale made the visit worthwhile.

We came here as a group of 8 and had a wonderful meal. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were extremely polite and attentive, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

We visited this homely restaurant with a group of three. The staff was friendly, but the wait time was quite long. We were told it would be 10 minutes, but it ended up being much longer. We tried their F&C (Haddock) and Cod Fish wrap. The food was average, but the wrap had little cod fish filling. Considering the location, it’s a reasonable place for lunch if you’re visiting.

Visiting here to eat was a welcome respite from the rain and being dog friendly was a huge bonus. The menu was much better than most places in the area for those that don't eat meat & fish, so that is an additional bonus here. The staff, whilst clearly busy, were efficient and friendly and the food served quite promptly. Absolutely worth visiting!

Excellent food, staff and atmosphere. Pricier than in the city but it’s a touristy area. Really like this place. Clean and efficient too. Nice staff. They even have doggie menu.

Ate there with me family. It right along the trail and the food is great. We were all really impressed. The service was also great. They allow dogs which is also fun but made us miss our own dog back home. I highly recommend this great spot.

The Village Rest in Luss is such a lovely spot! The food is delicious, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the whole place has a cozy village charm. There’s a nice picnic table outside where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings — perfect on a sunny day. A must-visit if you’re exploring Luss or stopping by Loch Lomond!

Dog friendly cafe with great food and attentive staff! Highly recommend. The lentil and bacon soup was spot on! Also the fish wrap was tip top.

Had a fantastic Hard Hat Tour. It was a really fascinating 1hr+, where we got taken around the entire ship and winding room. We got told all about what they are doing, what their plans are and what they have done so far. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions about the Maid and Paddle Steamers in general. It was great value at £15 and the tour group was small, with just three of us. I look forward to seeing the Maid's progress and I will visit again.

We had a lovely guided tour of the Maid Of The Lock! The tickets cost £15 each, and the tour started at 14 and lasted more than an hour. Tours are only at weekends, because during the week the volunteers are working on the ship to complete her restoration. Graham, our tour guide, was very passionate about the history of the Maid Of The Loch and entertained us with lots of interesting anecdotes and information about her. It was really instructive and fun, especially because we have never visited a ship while being restored before. We hope that the Maid Of The Loch will be back in the water again!

We went after hours and had cafe across from the ship. Hopefully there will be a day when it can be restored to its former splendors and cruise across Loch Lomond.

I attended the Hard Hat tour and would thoroughly recommend. Really informative and interesting tour run by wonderful volunteers.

Maid of the Loch is the last paddle steamer built in the United Kingdom. She operated on Loch Lomond for 29 years and as of 2022 is being restored near Balloch pier. It became in service in 1953. Great view, and there was a cafe with an outdoor setting area on a fabulous vew. Highly recommended

It wasn't the best day for a visit but it was our only day so no choice. There's a £3 fee to get on board which goes to support the restoration. It was lovely, all staff very friendly and knowledgeable, it can only get better as more gets done to this beautiful steam powered boat 🚢 There is a lovely little cafe on board and the views are fab Definitely worth a visit and worth contributing to save this gem

Beautiful historical ship , fun for adults and kids too 🤩.This is the last paddle steamer lunched on the 5th march 1953 and currently going through restoration with the help of donations from visitors, hope it will sail in the near future again ☺️ I did use Google earth to find more about its interesting history. Its free to get on board and explore, however voluntary donations helps upkeep and fund the restoration, staff volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable . There is a cafe there where you can get tea , coffee and cake and enjoy the lovely stunning view and its not expensive .. Its a very unique and beautiful places for events like Weddings and Wedding Receptions, Corporate Events, Kids Birthday Parties, and so much more! Over all if your around Balloch or loch Lomonds its a lovely place to stop by and check it out :)

Good for kids with engaging flying shows, the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre offers close-ups with impressive raptors. However, seeing some beautiful birds in relatively small enclosures did evoke a sense of sadness despite the conservation efforts.

Beautiful birds, knowledgeable staff, great function when we can see the birds fly and learn about their habitats and challenges. It would be a good idea to include more information about birds provenance in the signs. I had the pleasure to discuss with one of the handlers and learned much more than what was included on the signs. Thank you! If you have questions, ask to speak with one of the members of the team. They are very knowledgeable.

My whole life I have wanted to get into falconry, but due to the nature of my job it’s almost impossible. I happened to find out about the bird of prey center on an online forum before my wife and I traveled from the states to visit Scotland. It seemed like a to good to be true moment, well I’m happy to say it more than over delivered. Our teacher Hannah should be the face of this awesome place, she knew everything about these amazing birds and made us incredibly comfortable when we got to handle them. We got to fly gonzo the spectacled owl, sully the American kestrel, and toothless the Harris hawk. Hannah not only talked about the birds (with an astonishing amount of information) but mankind’s interactions (both good and bad) with birds of prey. She didn’t romanticize the care of these animals. She set real expectations should the opportunity ever come for me to try my hand at falconry. If you near Loch Lomond make the time to come here, spend the money to take out some of there amazing birds and support an origination that so clearly loves these animals. Thanks again Hannah for a great once in a lifetime opportunity.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this place. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and all the birds looked very well and happy. We watched one of the free shows where they brought out various birds and explained their personalities and species. The show was really fun, and it was great to see how happy and free the birds were. People complaining about the cost is ridiculous. You can come and go as you please, take your time to read the information and learn about each bird, and explore the cabins with information, bones, skulls, and feathers. There’s also a small seated area with a video playing. All in all, it was a great time, and if you’re around to catch a show at the listed times, I highly recommend it.

Fantastic little place that we all thoroughly enjoyed visiting (2 adults & 2 children - 13 & 10 yrs old). Those that are saying the enclosures are too small etc, obviously didnt take the time to talk to the staff about the origins and needs of the birds at the sanctuary. We were lucky enough to do a flying experice (Highly reccomend) with a gorgeous old man (Owl) called Cargo. His hadler was so knowledgeable and the staff are all absolutely dedicated to the birds care and well being, and will talk to you about anything you want to know! The flying show was full of facts and demonstrated the birds individual characters (very funny). Money well spent on a very enjoyable visit & a good cause.

Didn't help that it was raining but some birds were in cages some were in pens they looked very healthy. But it was over too soon .little bit pricey for the amount of time it takes you to go round .Didn't manage to see any shows but we were the only peaple there

Small but informative, you get to see all the birds from up close. The fly a bird experience was great.

We had a lovely table by the window, both for dinner and breakfast, with beautiful views over the loch. Peaceful, with just enough buzz in the restaurant. Good service and really excellent food which all tasted fresh and was perfectly cooked with one minor exception. Very highly recommended. Hotel room also very good indeed. Can't wait to go back!

Lovely food service was good for dinner but you could see they could do with more front of house staff good menu. Breakfast was very slow although you had to book a time slot. Again under staffed and very slow in topping up the buffet continental section and attention to detail not quite their failed to keep on top of ensuring plates were available for guests. Hot ordered breakfast took 40 minutes to come.

Unfortunately, our experience here was really disappointing. The steak, ordered medium rare, was extremely tough and chewy – more like trying to bite through rubber than enjoying a proper piece of meat. Service was very slow and the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the place was open when everything else around was closed. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.

The restaurant staff were very friendly and the service was great. The view was beautiful and the bar was cosy next to the fire. Breakfast was very good and so was dinner. Thank you for a lovely anniversary. My husband added it was our anniversary and we got a nice wee plate which was very cute :)

Wonderful hotel in a very scenic setting. The rooms were sensationel and the food was jus simply great. Only the service in the restaurant was a little slow as to getting an order started. All in all I highly recommend it very nice stay

My husband and I stayed at the lodge on Loch Lomond for a night for our first wedding anniversary, we dined at the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The Thai mussels to start were spicy but to die for and the steak main was delicious. Everything about our meal and service was perfect we would highly recommend.

Had an early dinner here, 5pm, we were the only ones in at the time. Service was quick and friendly. Huge portion of food and very tasty. Good value for money.

First time going here after a long drive through the loch Lomond national park. Myself and my friend sat in the restaurant for dinner. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the service was great and food was top notch! If I'm ever in the Balloch area again I'll definitely be visiting again, also they provide a takeaway service if you don't want to eat in.

Amazing food and service. Went here as nice and close to the Lomond Wood holiday park. Greeted straight away when we arrived by an amazing waitress who delivered the best customer service we have had in a long time. She was great throughout and you could tell she was just naturally great at her job rather than the fake see customer service you get in most restaurants. Wasn’t too busy and not a huge restaurant so during peak season I’d suggest booking. Great menu choice typical of what you would expect. Definitely something available for all tastes and fussy eaters. Each dish we ordered was lovely although the spring roll starters were 4 small rolls and lacked much filling. The main courses by contrast were the best we have ever had. I had the mixed satay skewers which were absolutely stunning and could have eaten them 100 times over. The crispy chilly chicken had a fair kick but was also delicious. The restaurant had a lovely modern feel and was spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend here for excellent food and service and look forward to going back.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Balloch. The restaurant was fully booked when we arrived, but we got a seat through in the grill area which was lovely and quiet. Staff were very attentive from start to finish, and all really friendly as well. Food was brilliant too: good sized portion without being too much, and high quality food cooked very well. There was a good selection of stuff from the specials and normal menu. A bit more expensive than what you'd pay in a regular pub, but it's all definitely worth the money. They've got a good selection of drinks too, including lots of cocktails and a good wine selection. Will certainly be back the next time I visit Balloch 😊

Great experience overall. Service friendly and not bothered about responding all our answers. It’s a plus that all food is homemade - and definitely you can tell. Homemade soup (we had lentil soup) was very tasty and filling. Non greasy or overcooked. Just perfect. Second dish was the steak sandwich. We were surprised in the good way as we were expecting fine fillets of meat in a square typical sandwich bread, instead we received this yummy panini with a perfect seasoned and medium cooked steak. Great menu for a pre-boat trip in Balloch. Will come back!

Came here for an evening meal and it was just what we were looking for in terms of atmosphere and great food at reasonable prices. The starters we had (fish tacos and duck spring rolls) were stunning. My husband's main was sea bass I think, which he really liked. I had the sirloin steak which was good but a little tough, which was disappointing, but the other bits of the meal (onion rings, chips, mushrooms) were all delicious. The one downside of our experience was the service, it was a little inconsistent in terms of who our waiter was which at times meant we were waiting to be able to order more drinks, etc. Hoping it was a fluke, I would still recommend this place.

We’ve stopped here a couple of times in the past for a drink when out cycling but not had food, so on this occasion decided to have something to eat as well. We chose from the snacks / sides section of the menu - and the food was excellent! Service is warm & friendly and a nice outside seating area. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic wedding planning team who worked hard to make our day fantastic. Their list of recommended suppliers was perfect, the food was delicious, everyone was served at the same time. They managed to accommodate our decor requests. The rooms were gorgeous. The breakfast on the day after was exactly what we needed. Thoroughly delighted with the whole experience.

THE NO SMOKING HOTEL THATS A SMOKING HOTEL! Looked lovely on paper with spectacular view over Loch Lomond. Unfortunately 😕 poor thinking on check in staff only one room card issued even though two doors needed access by card to get to room one from a shared corridor to the two rooms. Card didn't work so long trip back to reception at the other side of car park. Very strange set up room with balcony looking out over Loch Lomond nice and big but bath room with bath and shower no door and a separate toilet. Stay in room wasn't pleasant advertised heavily as a non smoking hotel but most concerning was the sticker on the door instructing smokers to shut the door so as no smoke enters the room. After a lovely meal we retreated back to the room for an early night window open for the fresh air from the Loch unfortunately that's when it went down hill room through the night filled with passive smoke from the smokers on the balcony next door causing us to wake on a number of occasions and disrupt our sleep with passive smoke. The hotel clearly knows they have an issue with smoke going into the rooms as they state on their terms and conditions if the room smells of smoke they will recharge you for another night to cover the cost of taking the smell away. So the hotel that is a non smoking is actually designed that the only way you won't be subject to passive smoker in your room is to keep your windows and balcony door closed. If your a non smoker avoid this place as it's sickening to wake up with the taste of nicotine in your mouth and nose from sleep. Non smoking hotel discourage and ban smoking at entrance yet provided ashtrays on the private balcony even though they know the smoke will enter the rooms of non smoking guests. A non smoking hotel that openly encourages smoking on the room balconies that causes passive smoke into surrounding rooms around.

My wife and I stayed recently for a wedding and got to say we were really impressed especially with the views couldn't get any better. There is plenty of parking and very easy to get to. Our first room was looking right onto the loch. For the day of the wedding we got moved across to the lodge where the wedding was happening. The staff moved all our stuff so it wasn't a stress for us. Our new room was as pretty as the first with a lovely balcony. The wedding went very smooth and really tasty food. I would go back for another stay for the views alone

This hotel is great. The location is great, the breakfast is wonderful, the view stunning. I would have given it 5 starts had my mattress not had a spring coming out the side which scratched my leg every time I got out of the bed. Despite the spring, this hotel is worth a visit!

We recently stayed at the Lodge on Loch Lomond for a short holiday, and we had a really good experience overall. The staff were polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, which made a noticeable difference. The location is fantastic, right on the edge of the loch with some incredible views. If you’re booking a stay, I’d strongly recommend going for a room or suite with a loch view—it’s well worth it, especially in the early mornings or around sunset. Breakfast was a highlight. It’s served in a dining area overlooking the loch and the nearby island, which creates a great atmosphere to start the day. The halibut with poached eggs was excellent—something you don’t find on a typical breakfast menu. There’s direct access to the loch from the hotel, and while there is a beach area, it’s mainly used by hotel guests, so it doesn’t get crowded or noisy. A short walk from the lodge takes you to guided boat tours which are a good way to explore the area from the water. We also walked to Luss village, which is nearby. It’s quiet, scenic, and has a few local shops where you can pick up souvenirs or just enjoy a slow wander through the streets. All in all, the Lodge on Loch Lomond is a solid option if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the scenery. It’s well-located, well-run, and gave us a peaceful break with plenty to do in the area.

We stopped by on the off chance for lunch. We rang beforehand and were assured that we could have a table. On arriving the lodge was extremely busy and a wedding was in progress. We were concerned that service therefore would be scarce and slow. We could not have been more wrong. Even though the place was busy there were plenty of staff, we were treated like royalty and the orders were taken swiftly with the excellent food arriving very shortly afterwards. It was a delightful visit with delicious food, friendly and efficient staff and the most beautiful view. We are very much looking forward to returning in the very near future!

Just amazing, huge rooms with great amenities (biscuits, well stocked coffee machine in each room), great views from room and the restaurant. Breakfast was nice. Massage at the spa was lovely. We had a great trip and stay!

I recently enjoyed an extraordinary experience flying from the river, surrounded by breathtaking mountains and expansive plains. The views were simply spectacular! I wholeheartedly recommend this adventure to everyone—just remember to book your tickets in advance!

We had a great experience on the seaplane. The views were incredible over the isles of Scotland. Make sure you are flexible with dates because we were cancelled twice. This just built up excitement for the eventual trip and it did not disappoint!

Absolutely amazing experience. We took a flight to the isle of Jura, spent two hours there and then flight back. The guys on the plane were very nice and welcoming. We were very lucky with the weather. I recommend this experience to everyone.

Awesome flying experience. Bit pricey but the experience is worth it. Seaplane takes off from Loch Lomond and flies all the way to Kyle and Bute islands. Pilot talks through and explains about the various islands The views from the plane is amazing. Pls ensure to reach the place on time due to work being done on the main road side.

Wow, what an experience. We hit the jackpot with the weather which made it even more amazing. The scenery is stunning, the plane comfortable and pilot friendly and informative. I'd highly recommend the trip to Jura 😊

Lovely locale, the campsite was quite good for an overnight stay and there was enough walking to fill a long afternoon. Great views from almost every angle as well, I recommend the summit. Just make you sure you dress for ticks, check the midge forecast, and brace yourself for the composting toilet!

Lovely trip to the island, very friendly staff. We walked for ages and enjoyed every little bit, believe or not we had 4G with EE. View were amazing, fresh air. History was great also. The boat that took us here had a class captian who also sang.

Beautiful view from summit point, worth the walk up. Managed to complete the circuit in around 1.5 hours (I saunter rather than walk...) Love a boat ride and that.

Well worth a visit. We crossed on the ferry from Bahama. We had a guided tourof the island, with an excellent guide, but there are information points and you can download a map to get your own information. We walked to the summit and round the island and to the burial ground, at a leisurely pace, in less than 2 hours, with 3 geriatrics in our group.

Decent place to enjoy your time with family or friends. A short ride from balmaha (10-15 minutes) is nothing compared to the view.

What a beautiful building and great information regarding the original use for this building .Nice shops but could be a great place if space used fully

Very strange place, an eerie feeling of deserted massive building, which looks like in its days has been really beautiful and magnificent. It's huge, still a lot of marbles (or fake ones) inside (floors, columns), but totally empty. Only two places were open during my visit: The Works and some cafe upstairs. Staff seemed to be really surprised seeing some strangers there. Outside the (one-time marvellous) building, there are two massive car parks full of deep potholes and a handful of vehicles. Surreal experience, like from the very odd movie, one of the most weird places I've been in my life.

Such a shame it is so quiet. Outlets are good and helpful staff in most. Historical building with fit for purpose shopping. Car parks are a waste of space and could be better laid out and cared for.

Fantastic building and the history of car-making there is displayed on the walls. Sadly there are not as many shops as there could be, it doesn’t get anything like enough customers. Our favourite antique shop is there but it only opens at the weekends so we have to plan our trips accordingly. Ample parking and very relaxed, good public toilets, a restaurant, a good sized ‘The Works’ bookstore, a Scottish clothing emporium (not cheap though!) and other outlets. We live visiting and enjoying a wander around 😃

A beautiful historic building which has steadily deteriorated over the last few years. There is plenty of parking but the carpark is in need of resurfacing in large areas. Very few shops open. There is a disabled access with lifts at the rear. It's a pity that it does not have more shops to visit. There are some interesting exhibits in the main concourse and Argyll Models in the basement.

About to fall down, once in the entrance hall way take a photo then go back to the lakes it's dreadful.

Fully recommend. We had a fantastic day on the water/Island - special thanks to our guide, Sammy - she was an absolute delight, a great instructor and even helped us get back down the road afterwards. Could someone at IYE please ensure she gets a birthday cake this week 🎂 🙃 Cheers

Had a great session canoeing on Loch Lubnaig with our instructor Tim. Gave us advice and tips whilst also leaving us to get on with it - a great mix. Beautiful location and Tim also provided us with some history and information about the Loch. Highly recommend it.

We had the most amazing time with Sammie, our instructor. We felt at ease even as complete novices. A great way to see the Loch from a different perspective. Highly recommended.

Kyle was an amazing guide and we had a fantastic experience canoeing across loch Lomond and around islands with beautiful weather. Lots of local history, fun, and feeling of family achievement and team work. We even got to canoe near some Highland cattle.

Kyle is an absolute star and asset to this company. He took two middle aged adventure seekers on the most wonderful canoe tour around the Loch Lomond islands. His knowledge of the area is fabulous, he is technically exceptionally competent and great company. The icing on the cake was seeing one of the elusive wallabies! A definite tour to be repeated next time we are in the area. Thank you Kyle.

Alan was superb! We did the guided canoe experience and he was both very knowledgeable, a great instructor and super friendly. Little tricky to find some signage would be great.

I grew up not far away, in Alexandria, so I know it well, particularly around Balloch. Also seen a lot of changes, but the majestic beauty of the Loch and surrounding hills almost never changes - except with the seasons. Balloch Park also had a walked garden, which is worth a visit.

Went Gorge Walking (discovery) yesterday, and can honestly say that it's one of the best things I have ever done! Amazing experience. Henry, our guide, was brilliant. He was really knowledgeable and helpful, took time to explain how to negotiate the gorge and carry out each of the challenges safely. Thank you so much! We'll definitely do it again sometime!

A good pub. Have always enjoyed any visits there, and the drink selection is more than decent.

The old-fashioned and miserable exterior makes this place look more dangerous than it actually is. I imagined tattooed skinheads with bulldogs and a bad attitude were drinking inside, but I entered anyway and was pleasantly surprised! There were some weird-looking cutomers, probably locals, but I wouldn't call them dangerous; Well, not to other people, any way. The barmaid was friendly and swift and played a good range of music in the backgroud, keeping everybody happy. The interior is bright, thanks to the giant, yet frosted, windows and we felt comfortable drinking there. And hanging on the walls were some extremely interesting photographs of submarines, snapped in the surrounding waters of the river Clyde. I liked this place, but dropped a single star for the television sets. It seems every single pub in Scotland MUST have televisions. I don't know why, but this place would be seriously cool without them. I feel the TVs attract the type of customer you would avoid taking to at a bus stop. There's nothing good on TV and we're not at the pub to watch it, we're there to drink and have fun. And drinks and fun were had.... Keep up the good work!

Had 3 pints no food. Excellent service. Guy behind bar served me at my table as struggle with walking. 1st time in a Scottish pub. Excellent far better than a lot of pubs I have frequented in England.

Great wee pub. Come here every Saturday for a couple of pints. Has recently changed management but the barman is always friendly and knows what I drink. He even asks where my pal is who comes with me every other Saturday. Can't recommend enough. Can be a bit noisy, depending on whos in, but doesn't bother me. Great atmosphere and vibe.

Very poor. Went in after fireworks night for a quick pint before heading back to Glasgow. Well, the barman was less than enthusiastic. Not even a simple hello, thank you or goodbye. Id have sympathy for him if it had been a busy eve but it was evident that even the locals knew to give this listless old man a wide berth, and during an annual celebration? Too busy eating crisps, I guess he will be happy if no one will darken his door again.

Shameful behaviour. Went in with a group of friends, the landlord kicks off about 2 people not getting a drink. They were leaving so didn't want to have one and only go half way which is understandable this guy is having none of it and made us feel so unwelcome we had to leave with his disgraceful attitude and behaviour.

Best pub while visiting Scotland in 1993…still have warm, fond memories of this place now in 2024 (from USA).

A perfect getaway for a lovely break Beautiful clean rooms, excellent food, stunning views and surroundings. Staff were very welcoming (apart from receptionist). Enjoyed every moment of our stay. However bed was not comfortable and the pillows were awful.

3 of us stopped by the Duck Bar Restaurant for dinner on Saturday. Jason, was kind enough to find us the best table in the restaurant with the most amazing views of Loch Lomond. The setting was idyllic and very relaxing. The food was amazing and Bruno who was serving our table was a great guy. So friendly and chatty and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Hats off to Jason on restaurant reception for accommodating our last minute needs and finding us such an amazing table. Also to Bruno for such great service. We have had a three day stay,and we can't rate this gorgeous hotel high enough. The Loch Lomond suite was exceptional, very well maintained and fresh. The chamber maids were lovely,and couldn't do enough for us The restaurant and bar staff were attentive and pleasant,as well as genuinely interested in conversation. The food was excellent,the choice of menus wonderful and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The Halloween decoration is absolutely amazing! Thank you for a lovely stay!!❤️

We came here for dinner. The setting is beautiful on the side of the loch. Terrific views everywhere. The restaurant has been recently renovated and is an excellent condition. We had a series of appetizers, including the tempura chicken and prawns. Both were fantastic. We also had the bang bang cauliflower. All entrées were fantastic as well. We would definitely come back again for dinner. Occasionally, the service was slightly slow from the bar( drinks and water) but it seems to be the cultural norm for the area. The desserts were fantastic, including the lava cake and the sticky toffee pudding. Waitstaff was very attentive otherwise. I would recommend making a reservation if you are in the area.

The Duck Bay hotel rooms are TINY and the walls are unbelievably thin. I am just 5'3" and I felt like a giant in this miniature hotel room. You can hear every word of the neighbor's TV and personal conversation. I came in by train. Had to have the hotel front desk call a taxi for me if I wanted to go anywhere because the Balloch bus does not stop at the Duck Bay bus stop, even though I had bought bus tickets ahead of time. Taxi charges added up quickly. No Ubers. I had the crispy duck bao at the restaurant which I did enjoy and is the only reason I gave two stars to Duck Bay. I was very happy to leave this area and will not be back.

Sadly only got to experience the restaurant however after my meal here I don’t see why I wouldn’t come back and perhaps stay a night in here. Restaurants environment is very warm and welcoming with ambient lighting across the place with kind staff and an amazing view. Drinks came within minutes of ordering. Food was perfected with its portions and a very speedy delivery. Staff amazing Atmosphere 5/5 Price: Great value

Went for dinner. Very slow service. Took an hour from arriving until we were served our meal. (This seemed to be sporadic... the table next to us arrived at the same time and had finished their meal before we were served). Food was okay. The vegan options were pleasant but quite small portions (two curries and bang bang cauliflower). My son really liked his chicken fajita, and the fish and chips went down well with the grandparents. I realised after sitting there for a while that I'd been before several years ago and had the same experience then. Won't go back, despite the great location.

Great location. Nice restaurant/bar. Well maintained. Good service. This review is specifically for Room 81... While this room is in fine condition there are things any guest MUST be aware of (which we were not, prior to our arrival). TALL PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ALL PEOPLE WITH EVEN MINOR MOBILITY ISSUES SHOULD NOT STAY IN ROOM 81. The room is well appointed and clean but it is at the top of winding stairs which were challenging to negotiate and the interior space is loaded with head-injury opportunities. This apartment is built in an attic space. The four dormers (or dormer-like recesses) are great but the resulting protruding ceiling edges are treacherous. As a man of 70" in height, I had to constantly restrict my movement to a width of about 5' for the entire length of the facility. We set our upright suitcases and portable furnishings in places to remind us to not walk into the ceilings. I will attempt to upload photos illustrating this. Very careful healthy short people would love this place!

Excellent, stayed 3 nights . The room was so nice, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and professional. The restaurant was good, with well cooked food and served hot. Very generous portions. The whole site was well presented and well kept. We will recommend.

Nice large complex close to great walking trails. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was a bit of a mob scene with live music, a private party in the main dining room and lots of kids running around wild. The food was just okay, probably won't dine there again.

We are doing the West Highland Way and had a pleasant stay here. The highlight for me was the quality of the dinner. My Asian Salad and Carrot Coconut soup were delicious, as were the desserts and wine. My husband loved the chicken pie. Our compliments to the chef!

We had wonderful three days at the Oak Tree Inn. The room was very clean and really comfortable. The breakfast offered a great selection and was delicious. We really enjoyed the location on Loch Lomond. We made ourselves comfortable during the storm. The food in the restaurant is also highly recommended and everyone enjoyed it. We would love to come back on our next visit to Scotland. Very family-friendly!

I’m hiking through on the West Highland Way with some friends and stopped at the Oak Tree Inn last minute because we had some boot issues. Kirsty was extremely friendly and helpful, managed to find us a room which was exactly what we needed while we figured the boot situation. Everyone here is very friendly and professional, food is great and the pod we’re in is nice and clean. Shout out to Kirsty for her help, we definitely recommend this place. Also the included breakfast buffet is very good with lots of options - quality meal.

Real Ales, Real Fire, Real comfy Cottage with Loch views, Real good selection of Scotch Whisky, Really nice Steak Pie, Really recommended. Their Coffee shop next door also does Really good Coffee, Croissants and Cake! November in Scotland CAN be Real good!
