Golf Courses
Renfrew Golf Club is a well-maintained course with fantastic greens and ongoing high-standard work on bunkers and drainage. The flat layout offers a decent length of nearly 7000 yards, featuring reachable par 4's and 5's, as well as challenging par 3's. The venue also provides catering services in a beautiful setting with picturesque views.
Cracking course always kept in great condition - greens are in fantastic shape and the work being done on the bunkers and drainage is being done to a very high standard. Just a touch under 7000 yards off the whites its a decent length but its very flat so you're not gonna be climbing hills all day. With reachable par 4's and 5's and some long challenging par 3's; its got a bit of everything.

Flat parkland course with several challenging holes, played the course mid June. In suberb condition. Nice club house with welcoming staff. Also a very well stocked pro shop. Really enjoyed my day there. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful course. Great autumnal colours. Fantastic views of the Clyde towards Erskine Bridge. It's November so winter greens. Apparently you need a mat to play off the fairways but no-one told me before I played. Will definitely go back in the summer.

Visited for a funeral tea. Really nice venue with beautiful outlook. We seen deer over in the trees whilst there. The golf club also done the catering I believe, which was amazing. Hot sausage rolls & pies. Sandwiches with various fillings. Absolutely delicious scones & tasty cakes. Perfect choice of venue.

The well-maintained park boasts colorful flowers in summer, clean kids' play areas, resurfaced tennis courts, and a bustling skatepark.
Beautiful park to visit and great host of the Doggys day. The park is lovely to walk around and has a beautiful bird pond within. Definitely worth a trip. Look forward to coming back with my dog again

Love this park. Great childhood memories. Only problem being there are still NO public loos. Not even a disabled one for radar keys. On occasions, I have been there with groups of kids, and had to walk all the way back to our church just to let kids use the loo. Not ideal 😳

Lovely park walk in the sunshine with my family today. Totally recommend if you have youngsters as loads of fantastic climbing, swings etc to play on. Spent hours there today. Nice walk areas for you and the dogs if you have them too. Overall a great family day out on the cheap and there is of course the icecream shop if you fancied it when weather improves.

The park offers various amenities and activities for the general public. These include a duck pond, floral gardens, BMX course, skateboard park, tennis courts, putting area, bowling green, sensory garden, cycle tracks, swing parks and a small animal enclosure.

We had a great afternoon exploring around the park again. My Son enjoys playing the road layout section with his bike/scooter. The park has equipment for most ages too so worth a visit with the kids 🛴

Was lashing down with rain but still had a good time. My son loves the skatepark and the kids' play park has some decent obstacles to keep him entertained. Would obviously be much better when the sun's shining.

Family restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Glasgow, Harvester Hillington is a delightful family-friendly restaurant that caters to all ages. Known for its inviting atmosphere, this chain offers a diverse menu featuring grilled meats, fresh salads, pasta dishes, and seafood options. One of the highlights here is their unlimited breakfast served daily—think freshly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, and even vegan sausages! Guests can expect prompt service from friendly staff who ensure a pleasant dining experience without long waits.
Popped in for lunch while shopping for a new bathroom and the restaurant looks amazing after a recent refurb. The lady who greeted us was very attentive and sat us near the salad bar as my mum had a walking stick and it would be easy for her to get too. Our waitress Gina was great. My mum choked on a pea and Gina was over with a glass of water faster than the pea reappeared. The food was lovely and the festive menu was excellent value for money. Will be back soon. Thank you Hillington

Hadn’t been here in a while and I was so surprised and how much choice there was on the menu! We all had different mains that we really enjoyed. The steak in the rice bowl was cooked so well. It’s nice that you can go for food and then go and chill in the bar area with a drink afterwards. Loved my chicken skewer!

The atmosphere is always uplifting, making it a comfortable and welcoming place to dine. The staff truly set the bar high—not only do they provide great conversations and friendly service, but they also work together seamlessly, stepping in to help one another whenever needed. The teamwork here is impeccable, and it’s clear they have a well-organized routine that keeps everything running smoothly. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious every single time! The presentation is always on point, exactly how it should be. My all-time favorite meals from the main menu include the burger & chips, the haddock with sage & onion chips, the spinach pasta, and of course the ✨️ribs✨️ and, more recently, the wraps they’ve introduced over the past few months. As for sides, I can’t get enough of the 🍗chicken wings—so juicy! And the cornbread? Lovely and filling. The drink options are endless, which is a nice touch and complements the food perfectly.🍻🍸 A special shoutout to the chefs in the back who are always putting in the effort to ensure every dish is top-notch. And of course, the front-of-house staff and managers—your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed. You all go above and beyond what’s expected, and it truly shows how much you care about the establishment and your customers. To the entire Harvester team—chefs, servers, and management—thank you for always making each visit special 🩷

Had the fish & chips at Harvester Hillington and was genuinely impressed. The fish was beautifully fresh with a light, crispy batter that wasn’t greasy at all. The chips were golden and perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. Portion size was generous, and everything tasted freshly made. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual meal. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and craving a solid fish & chips!

Bought a deal through Groupon which was £40 for a 3 course meal. The Groupon menu is limited but there is still quite a good choice. We had the breaded mushrooms and calamari for starters. Mains were half rotisserie chicken and a 10 oz sirloin steak (£5 supplement). For dessert we opted for syrup sponge and custard and a rocky road sundae. As a bonus there is an unlimited salad bar. The meal was exceptional value for money and all dishes were of a good quality. I would thoroughly recommend this Groupon deal.

Great service, didn’t buy food today, just popped in for a drink when out walking the dog. Have had food on previous visits & always been happy. Staff are always very friendly who make a fuss of our dog Alfie who is a bit of a regular. Served today by Olivia who was happy to provide fresh water for Alfie also as well as a few pets for him. All staff very friendly, always made to feel welcome.

Very good portions and variety of food. Well presented and included a free salad bar which was good. Our server David was very pleasant and helpful at the table. Good family venue for children and adults. Only complaint it was a bit cool with the air con but that might just be me. The combos are a favourite with chicken, ribs and pork belly. Would recommend a visit.

Italian restaurant
Piccolo Mondo Renfrew is a family-friendly restaurant in Glasgow known for its enthusiasm for Tuscan-style cooking. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior exudes charm and warmth. The restaurant offers a delightful festive menu with delicious turkey and amazing red wine. With a history of outstanding cuisine and customer service, this establishment has been recognized as the Best Restaurant in Renfrewshire at an event held by Scotland's Business Awards.
What an absolutely lovely restaurant! The staff were so welcoming and attentive (but in an unobtrusive way), the food was really delicious, and there was even live background music in the form of a pianist playing a mix of classical and more modern pop on the baby grand. All in all, a perfect dining experience - highly recommend!
Katie T — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by Piccolo Mondo. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but inside is lovely. We went for a festive menu and the turkey was delicious. The red wine was amazing too. However, what really stands out is the service. From start to finish real care was shown to use thought the meal and we were made to feel very welcome. A live pianist was playing and the place was clean and tastefully decorated. As far as the local area goes this is a very nice restaurant. My only suggestion would be more options for gluten free AND vegan as a crossover, it’s not the most inclusive menu for dietary requirements. As a haiku: A real local treat Inside, festive warmth shines through, Service is so good

Staff always do everything the can to make you feel welcome and service is second to none elsewhere. Massive thank you from us all, as everytime we come we are always looked after.

Our first of what will be many happy visits. We had the pre-theatre menu and the options and value were fantastic - the food was exceptional, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere - a live pianist - was wonderful. The Renfrew restaurant is a beautiful place to go, and I think it's safe to say we have found our new favourite spot!

Great place and excellent food. Cheese cake light and creamy, lasagne never tasted better and not the full of pasta version but creamy cheesy , excellent. Service was great polite and thoughtful, flexible booking on spot to cater for pop in guests. Clean and tidy, maybe the flooring should be improved as waiters walking by felt under my chair near by.

What an outstanding restaurant. I cannot rare this place highly enough. They went out of their way to cook me dishes that weren't even on the menu!!!!!! The customer service is absolutely amazing and the food was delicious. The prices were very reasonable and the place was busy, especially considering I visited on a week day. It was so good I and my colleagues visited here for the 2 nights we were staying in the area!!!

Beijing Banquet is a bustling and popular restaurant, offering ample seating and extensive car parking. However, the availability of parking spaces can be limited, so it is advisable to arrive near opening time at 5 pm for convenient parking. Although there may be a short wait after that, the staff is courteous and efficient from the moment you enter. There are plenty of well-trained personnel available to escort you to your table and efficiently clear plates when needed.
This is the second Beijing Banquet we've visited. It was a lot smaller inside and not all the same selection, but the quality was so much better! Proper car park outside with disabled spaces. The food was fresh and regularly refilled. The chocolate fountain and popcorn machine both actually worked! Also, no loud music. Staff friendly and attentive. Will be back soon when the kids are off school.

We attended this buffet tonight 29th of Sept 2025. My friend had come up from England as it is my birthday and treated the family to a buffet meal. The bill was £90 for 3 adults and a 6 year old. Which if things were in order would be ok. But we left in disguist. The must clean their pots and pans with brillo pads then don't bother to rinse as thats all I could taste after each bite. The curry sauce was like water. No taste what so ever. This was the very first time we had tried this place as our local one was closed but it will be the absolute last we ever step foot in it. So thanks for ruining my birthday meal beijing banquet

Food was usual standard buffet food. Staff were visible ensuring food was kept topped up and placed was clean. We did go when it was busy. £90 for 3 adults, 1 coke and 2 bottled beers which in my opinion wasn't worth it. Ive been to other buffet places which have been much nice and more wow factor.

Visitors praise its first Italian afternoon tea, with delicious food that left them with leftovers to enjoy later. Some suggest adding more savory options and reducing the number of cakes. Under new ownership and is well worth a visit. I went with my family, 6 of us. We have been to Luna Rossa numerous times but the last time was about a year ago because it had been going downhill. Now under the new management it was fantastic. The staff were great and attentive. The food was delicious. The atmosphere and background music was magic. If you haven’t been back recently, you really need to go. Everything has changed from the previous owners for the better. Thanks and we will be back soon. JW

I thought I had written a review after the Xmas Dinner 2024 just realised as was looking to book for this year. That says it all. My mother is a very fussy eater and the Manager was more than happy to accommodate my mum, esp with her being immobile, hard of hearing and visually impaired, the choice he provided for her main meal which wasn't even on the menu was just what she wanted. Couldnt rate it highly enough the starter, main course and puddings were all delicious as was the excellent service. Looking to be back this year.

Went back again today 13 August with my husband to meet up with my brother who is over from Saudi. Food was delicious again. I had the prawn and smoked salmon rigatoni and a couple of half priced cocktails. The guys had burgers and fries. One had the chicken milanese burger and the other the beefburger. My brother opted for the carbonara fries as he said he'll stock up on his bacon intake prior to heading back to Saudi on Friday as it'll be Christmas School hols before he gets back to Scotland. They both had soft drinks and a coffee. No desserts as we were all too full as portions are large. I had again a £10 act of kindness emailed voucher which was handy and the 25% meerkat discount made the bill just £52.72. Thanks again to the very lovely and friendly Twandi for welcoming us back and for looking after us so we'll. See you again soon. Janice Xx

We had been to this restaurant a few times before and were always satisfied. However, our last visit was very disappointing both in terms of service and food. When we arrived, the restaurant was practically empty. The waitress showed us to a table, but she looked as if she didn’t like her job. We ordered drinks, pizza, pasta, and a burger with fries. When everything was brought to the table, we couldn’t believe they actually served it to us. The pizza looked like it had been sitting in an unheated oven for a long time. It was simply inedible – the edges were practically raw. I believe this happened because the restaurant was empty, and they had probably lowered the oven temperature. They could have just let us know that we would need to wait a bit longer so the food could be prepared properly. We refused to accept the pizza, and it was taken off the bill. The prawn pasta was bland, and the bun from burger was cold. The fries, which we paid £5 for, were also cooked in oil that was far too cold – they looked and tasted awful. After we said we were not happy, the staff kept glancing at us, shaking their heads in disapproval. This was very unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable. Mistakes happen, and we have the right to say if something is not right without being judged by the staff. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant and will not return. We spent £50, and yet we still had to go upstairs to Popeye’s afterwards because we left hungry and disappointed.

Dinner was delicious as usual, apart Frm my side salad missing tomatoes, for some strange reason.
Cathy S — Google review
Attended for a 7th birthday..as my little girly lives Prezzo. But it was disappointing this time. Prices have increased and the quality was not as good. 2 of the pastas were really salty, staff replaced one, but what came was still salty, 2 pastas were very dry with little sauce. Burger was basic and had to order fried separately which were £5 for a small bowl.
Katie M — Google review
Been coming quite often but probably not again. Used to come every week and Jamie always looked after us so well but my childcare schedule changed and now can only come on a Wednesday and sadly it appears Jamie doesn’t work Wednesdays with his own child I got told. The female manager with the accent seems more occupied looking at her phone and giggling with the kitchen rather than doing her job. No genuine hospitality when I visit anymore. Hopefully this can get rectified but it’s happened too often to be a one off. Also strange you no longer allow tips on the card machine.
