Nice place, a bit of a made up Old Town feel, but was constructed in the 60's/70's. Some nice bars and restaurants nearby.

The Roc de San Gaeta is very beautiful and has a very nice beach and a wonderful Romanesque village. Free car park not far from beach too.

El Roc de Sant Gaietà is one of the most pintoresque spots in Tarragona. A cute maze were you can get lost. A place were you can enjoy some tapas or the best ice creams by the sea. It has pretty gift shops if you can bring with you something that reminds you of the place. Finally you can enjoy a bath in any of the two tiny beaches, just be mindful to go early or it can get too crowded you won't find a spot

Beautiful sandy beach. The beach slopes gently into the sea and the waves are not too big so ideal for young kids. There are some rocks for them to explore too! Water is clean and warm as it's very shallow. There is a toilet at the beach entrance. There is a shower but not working during our visit. There is a bouncy minion castle and trampoline swing for the kids to play on in the evening too which they loved. A couple of shops nearby for beach things too. There are parasols on the beach and there is a charge for these. Don't know how much though. The beach can get quite busy but it never felt crowded.

Good beach, free parking is not so far (otherside of rail tracks). Didn't see toilets, but there was shower. Water was clean and still warmish.

Yaroslav K — Google review
Great beach. Lots of space and a very gently sloping water, so good for kids. There are showers at the back of the beach next to the cafe, and a toilet (best to bring your own toilet paper to be safe) Nice snorkelling close to the low cliffs where there are plenty of fish to be seen without getting into deeper water. Yellow buoys mark the channel to the harbour, so boats stay away from the swimmers. It is not possible to walk round the headland currently as the natural rock bridge is weak and has been fenced off.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Arc de Berà is a triumphal Roman arch built for Emperor Augustus in the 1st century BC. It is located on the ancient route known as via Augusta, which connected Spain to Italy. The arch stands in the middle of a modern road, making it accessible to passing cars. Although there are no pedestrian access roads and parking can be challenging, it's worth stopping by to admire this impressive Roman monument.
A good place for tourists, located on the N340 road. The arch is remarkable, there are signs with the history and the reason for the construction, which is pretty cool since it is more than two thousand years old. There is a great restaurant next to it where you can sit and enjoy the great view of the arch and have a delicious meal.
Ventsislav A — Google review
The Roman Arch of Roda de Berà is a stunning historical landmark that stands proudly along the ancient Roman road that once connected Barcino (Barcelona) to Tarraco (modern Tarragona). This beautifully preserved triumphal arch is a true gateway to the past, marking the path that led to one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire in Hispania. Visiting this site feels like stepping back to the very beginnings of Rome’s grandeur, where every stone tells a story of power, trade, and cultural exchange. Just a short journey away, Tarragona invites you to continue this journey through time, exploring its magnificent Roman amphitheatre, the remains of the circus once used for thrilling chariot races, and many other impressive ruins that reveal the spirit of an empire that shaped the Western world. The arch is not only a perfect spot for history lovers and photographers but also a peaceful stop along the Mediterranean coast, blending cultural heritage with natural beauty. A must-see for anyone wanting to walk in the footsteps of ancient Rome.

Choko Restaurant offers a perfect dining experience from start to finish, with friendly and polite staff, beautiful decor, and a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors praise the excellent food that provides a great representation of Spanish cuisine. The restaurant is located in a well-preserved part of the village by the sea, offering a magnificent setting for enjoying delicious meals such as paella. Despite some minor feedback about salty paella and accompanying fries, guests appreciate the efficient service and reasonable prices at this lovely establishment.
Located at the entrance of this Mediterranean must see hotspot, it meets the scene with his romantic views overlooking the waves reaching the rocs but most importantly food is delicious, specially the Arroz Negro! Listen however to the host recommendations to make sure you don’t miss off the catch of the day, or even just for the wine to marriage your meal. Totally recommend
R L — Google review
Service and waiting time is bad. Really bad. One of the waitresses pretend they don't see you calling them, and another not only didn't know about any nut allergies in food but they didnt bother to ask the chef nor anything. And we waited over 1h for the food (a dish of octopus and one of clams). And is really hot inside. Don't recommend. If you have any other option don't eat here.
Sofia P — Google review
Gorgeous food, especially the seafood and lovely location. The restaurant is not on the cheap side but it’s worth every cent. Make sure you hear about the catch of the day and what the specials of the day are which are not on the menu. The lobster paella we had was unbelievable. Highly recommended.

Food was ok but the price was a bit too much. Nothing special in the kitchen really, the fish was way over cooked. The service was decent, the place is by the beach and that’s really what makes this place worth it. Enjoy a beer but don’t eat there.

Rude and surly. At lunch time we sat down and got no service at the table so I went to the bar and got ignored for a while. We bought a second drink at the bar and got the same attitude. Not once did we get offered a menu to order food. Then they put a reserved sign on our table (when other tables were free) and didn't offer another table. So rude. I don't recommend anyone gives them any money. As other reviews say.

Ice cream shop
During my recent visit to Roda de Bara, I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant baRRoc with a few friends, and it was an experience to remember! The charming terrace immediately caught our attention, setting the stage for a delightful evening. The menu was brimming with enticing options that made it hard to choose just one dish; we may have gone a bit overboard trying to sample everything!
Excellent service, perfect environment, delicious food and good location. Everything for me was 10/10. And the best it’s their ice cream, they are the best I've ever tried
Joycee M — Google review
We went to get ice cream with friends and inquired if the ice cream contained pasteurized milk, as one of our friends is pregnant. The staff didn't know the answer and were also unfamiliar with the available flavors. Later, when our pregnant friend asked to use the bathroom, they refused, stating it was not available to ice cream customers.

I came to Roda de Bara with 3 friends to spend a nice evening. When we arrived we saw this charming terrace and a menu overflowing with good things to eat! I can tell you that we don't regret stopping at all! The setting is very pleasant, the menu is original and the dishes are excellent. (We may even have over-ordered because we wanted to try everything). What's more, the staff are very attentive and really professional. We had a lovely waitress, who took the time to try and speak to us in our language, whether French or English (knowing that our Spanish isn't very good) and she was really nice. I can't recommend it enough. In any case, I'll definitely be going back !
Yves C — Google review
The food is good quality. Service is friendly. But we expected a LOT more for the price. It is double the price of a normal Spanish restaurant, but the presentation and size of the dishes is completely standard. Nothing special at all. You could say you pay for the nice environment, but is it worth the 100% mark up? To each their own.

Greatly enjoyed our meal for 9 people here in mid June. While the location is quite close to the road, you are a literal stones throw from the Arc. Our server (l'm assuming the owner) was superb - very welcoming & provided us with excellent details on the menu options and wines. I'm not an expert on Spanish and Catalan food but we all thought the tapas were excellent and the main meals equally so. Decor was lovely too! Our only regret was that we visited on our last night of the holiday, otherwise we'd have definitely been back again.
