With only 1 day to squeeze in as much activities as you can, we strategically grouped the must-sees, PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land with surrounding point of interests to make sure you don’t leave Tarragona without getting the most bang for your time. Combining the average time spent at each location and traveling time in between, it should fill up about 8 hours of your day.

Amusement park
Theme park
PortAventura Park is a world-building theme park divided into five areas representing different continents, each with buildings and rides reflecting the culture of the country. The park features traditional entertainment facilities, roller coasters, rapids, 4D cinemas, and more. With over 1 million square meters of stunning landscape and 30,000 plant species, it offers a captivating experience.
Fantastic day out. Not been here since 2013, so 12 years on from then. We will be doing Ferrari Land another day before we leave the town. Since working out and becoming a bit wider in certain areas, I don’t fit on some of the rides. Due to the narrow bucket seats. Not a problem, but could do with a tester seat at some of the longer wait rides, so that the ride doesn’t get held up by not fitting in. Overall, very clean and enjoyable day.
Laura G — Google review
Nice theme park very spacious and organised. Very long queues and sometimes the rides get out off order due technical problems ( happened with us in several of them ) Food are overpriced for the quality and quantity and they charge a fee for the cup all the time . The shows are good decoration amazing area clean and organised. Worth a visit but you need to have patience for queues in every were
Happydays — Google review
Great experience for both adults and kids (8/10 y). We arrived on Saturday and stayed until Tuesday. A little bit crowded for top attractions but in 2 day we can touch them all. We had also checked at their hotel and I would strongly recommend, as you have 30min in advance exclusivity to the park in the morning before opening hours
Eu C — Google review
We, family of 4 (with an 8 and a 3 yo) were nicely surprised by this amusement park. We went in November during All Saints holidays and there was hardly any waiting time at the rides. Staff was really well made up for Halloween event, and the park was really nicely decorated. The only minor thing to improve would be to put a sign on the parking lot to remind people that it is forbidden to bring food and drinks to the park. An amazing experience to repeat longer next time!
Marie C — Google review
Super fun for all the family. There are a lot of attractions for small and big. Buy tickets in advance. There is a lot of people during the week and even more during the weekend. So you need to prepare yourself for a lot of queues to attractions or buy fast pass additionally, then you will not need to wait. Check the condition of fast pass as for example you will not be able to do one attraction every 15 min but you will need to have a 2h break. Don't forget to take sun cream as the is a lot of sun and not a lot of shadows. Food is not so good as there is a lot of people but it is eatable. Think to take a hotel in the park as there might be tickets to park and fast pass included and at the end it might be cheaper. If you will not get hotel in the park you will need to wait for the entrance to park a lot.
Magdalena — Google review
Amazing and very large park. If you want to ride all the thrill rides then you have to buy the express pass. Otherwise you have to stay in lines for hours and you will be absolutely disappointed and same goes for ferrari land. Puy the express pass before visiting because they will sell out fast even on weekdays.
Sigrit S — Google review
Too much waiting time. Why sell more tickets than there is space available for attractions? The reason is money — visitors’ comfort clearly isn’t the priority. Many queues are not shaded, and waiting under the sun quickly turns into a nightmare. On the positive side, the toilets are well-organized and clean. The shops, however, could be more reasonably priced given the high entrance fee. Overall, the park is beautiful and generally well-maintained.
Alexander M — Google review
This was a fantastic experience. There was lost of fantastic rides and areas to visit. Would suggest the 10 ticket fast pass for those on their first visit as the more popular rides can be a bit of a wait. However, there are plenty of rides for the family and not too long a queue. For them. The kids area "Seseme Street" was amazing for all not just the younger kids. Can't wait to go again.

Lovely, clean, spacious park. Good selection of kids rides which my Son enjoyed, queues were short too so very little wait time for them. The star of the show is of course Red Force! I loved that there was a viewing area to sit and watch it whizz by. Worth a visit.
Debbi M — Google review
Amazing theme park one of a kind. Very spacious clean and organised. Get ready for long queues depends the days and times but worth the wait. Gates just open 16:30 and close late time enough to enjoy all the rides Me and my family enjoy a lot here... I would recommend a visit definitely
Happydays — Google review
I think most people will be visiting Ferrari Land purely for "The Red one", other than this ride we only went on 3 others as the park was only open 1700-2200. The Red one was great....the others not so much. But please near in mind we are seasoned Theme park visitors.....had we never had be on "soaring" we maybe would have appreciated "Flying dream" however with a 1hr 45 min wait we didn't. Racing legends seemed to be operating at Limited capacity and the "water jets" weren't working. We entered the park from Portaventura as hotel guests and queued for 30 mins, we then went straight to "The Red one" and queued for around 30 mins. The queues after that were over 2 hours. We ate at "Pit stop" the food was as expected for pizza, chips etc however the service was extremely slow. If you are willing to pay entry for 1 ride then its a good ride, generally the park isn't thay great, small and gift shops are crazy expensive.
Jo F — Google review
Amazing experience, would need a couple of days to do all rides as times were avg 1.5hrs. Museum had lots of interesting facts. Photo opportunities for all the family, in a road car and f1 car. If time isn’t on your side, pay for the fast track/express tickets and you can’t go wrong with those. If you like Ferrari heritage and fast rides, Red Force is the main attraction for that.
Laura G — Google review
Absolutely adore this place. Bought the 3 day 3 park tickets. Bought fast passes for the 5 ride pack and it was so good. The Ferrari ride is amazing. I went on it twice and was gutted I had to leave. Highly recommend this park. If you’re scared of rides or feel uneasy going on the red force ride GO ON IT!!!! You won’t regret it and it’s unbelievable.
Lily W — Google review
If you are a F1 Ferrari team fan you will love this place! To see a real racing car, experience of driving a simulation of F1 race or adrenalin rush in a Red Force rollercoster is a lifetime memory! Even the children can ride in small cars and also try F1 simulator. Everything is amazing wherever you look. Highly recommended to any F1 fan.
Aleksandra — Google review
A very nice destination for car enthusiasts , Ferrari’s all over the place! The Gallery is awesome, the store is modest the rollercoaster is wonderful. The Enzo Ferrari 3d video and simulator is unbelievable! They needed to add serious toys for big boys like me such as having a test drive with instructor on the circuit.
Sam H — Google review
Not worth the money! There are only a couple of rides interesting for adults, the queues are unreal, the express pass is expensive (€38) and only allows you to ride the 5 main attractions once. There are no special privileges for the express pass inside the attractions either; for example, in Flying Dreams, they seated us right at the edge, where the image distortion is the worst, and we were the first to enter the hall. The Maranello Grand Race is a dull, slow, dark, and uncomfortable experience.

El Corte Inglés is a modern and spacious department store offering a wide range of products, including exclusive fashion brands, accessories, electronics, toys, and groceries. The store features a restaurant on the top floor and also houses a bookstore and a Samsung store. Visitors can find great deals on brand-name items and enjoy the convenience of on-site services such as money exchange.
The staff were incredibly cooperative. I needed to deliver a parcel urgently before my departure flight, and the staff member assisting me went above and beyond to ensure it arrived on time. Thanks to her dedication, I managed to receive my parcel just in time. I’m grateful for their outstanding service!
Mohammadhadi M — Google review
I placed several online orders at the end of November and received emails informing me that some of the products were ready to be picked up. I went the first time and picked up half of the items on 6 december. One week later, I went to collect the rest and one of them is still unavailable. It would have been faster and more convenient to buy the products in the shop or on Amazon. Never will I use their online click and collect service.
Kate C — Google review
A very large store selling mainly brand clothes, perfume, and much more. There are also a restaurant, bookstore and a samsung store here.

Restaurant
Delhi Pizzeria Kebab 2 is a popular late-night spot with very clean facilities and friendly, English-speaking staff. The homemade hot sauce is a must-try, and the place offers delicious food with big portions at great value. While the curry may not be their specialty, the pizza and kebabs are top-notch. It's a perfect choice for a quick bite after a long drive as it's one of the few places open after 10 p.m.
Great late-night restaurant. Very clean, delicious food and friendly staff. They speak perfect English and are very accommodating. Must try the homemade hot sauce. For a fast-casual restaurant this place is top of the charts! Exactly what we needed after driving all day. Got in at 11 at night and got a quick bite. One of the few places open after 10 p.m.

Friendly, English/Spanish speaking, clean Great pizza and kebab run by friendly Indians. Curry isn't great, but the others are top notch. Very clean appearing kitchen and bathrooms. Misses one star as this should be a top stop for curry in Tarragona.

Japanese restaurant
On 07/08/2022, we had a pleasant dining experience at Restaurant Sakura. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, with quick service even on a busy Friday night. However, there was an unfortunate incident where we were almost asked to leave because we brought our scooters inside. The staff seemed concerned about potential inconvenience caused by the scooters in the restaurant, despite there already being two similar scooters present.
Fantastic food and service, nothing was too much. Sake was not on the drinks menu but when we asked they were very happy to supply. Amazing food and value for money!

If I could put 0 stars I would! Absolutely terrible! The colour of the duck was off and the prawns came with sand! I highly don’t recommend this place! Very expensive for what it is! The egg looked off as well. Look at the photos

Had a lovely dinner with my partner there. Buffet was great and so was the service! The owner and his family were very attentive and caring. Left the place happy and with a few extra kilos. P.S. surprised to read complaints about pricing, the place is very inexpensive, considering the amount you can eat!

If you want to eat delicious sushi in Salou you have to go here. My son fancies sushi a lot and he loves this sushi place. And 18,95 all you can eat. I was full after 2 rounds. Oh the seaweed is totally different then we know it. I liked it, my son didn’t. But everything else is a treat. For sure try number 72 and 74 on the menu 😋🍣🍱

Restaurant
El Pòsit, located in the Serrallo area of Tarragona, is a renowned restaurant with a long-standing history. Specializing in rice dishes and seafood, it offers generous portions that are perfect for sharing. Situated in the old fishermen guild headquarters and holding a Blue Seal for sustainability, El Pòsit prides itself on its commitment to sustainable practices and fresh, high-quality seafood.
My fiance and I experienced a wonderful dinner here while staying in Tarragona. It started with being welcomed by Samir, he answered any questions we had in a friendly manner. He was timely with all of our requests. Every dish we ordered were delicious and well balanced. The stand out being the goat cheese salad, the sweet and savory together, amazing. And Samir even ended our experience with lemoncello shots, not expected, but much appreciated.
Elesse J — Google review
Extremely disappointed by our dinner here. While visually everything looked good, the seafood was definitely not fresh, the fried stuff were soaked in oil and somehow still uncooked, while the grilled sole was overcooked, extremely salty on the one side and tasteless on the other. The food tasted either bland or very salty. All in all it was a regretful dinner and definitely not what you'd expect at this price point. Surprised by how busy the place generally is so not sure if they were having a bad day but we would never eat there again.
Panos K — Google review
Service could be much better, slow and more attentive. Food was poor, I had expectations on the romesquet but the flavour wasn’t there. Also the white octopus it was bland. Rest was good, wine by glad was ok. Hope they get better is a great location, and i heard they used to be much better in Cooking and service… Sad experience for me
Mat — Google review
Great food and atmosphere, their special Posit-seafood platter-is fabulous. Posit also carries their own wine which is very good and local. Both a MUST to try. Also, their service is very professional- I have to mention Samir who was our waiter several times. He is amazing! Posit El Serrallo is worth the visit.
Maria B — Google review
We had a fantastic dinner at El Posit, highlighted by their delicious rice with lobster — perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and full of fresh, tender lobster. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, ideal for a seaside evening. Big thanks to Martin, whose warm and attentive service made the experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be highly recommend it to others.

Sophia was great to us and also was the one that recommended all the menu. All was perfect, paella a bit on the salty side but this may be just our taste. All in all it was wonderful and would visit again.
Dan C — Google review
Our waiters Albert and Joel were amazing; very professional, kind, calm, and welcoming. The food was good with a lovely view over the port. They should definitely put fans outside because the flies were very very irritating. Other than that it was a good experience.
