To go on the river itself, you have to join the little flotilla of rowing boats that leaves, twice a day, from the wooden information centre "Les Bateliers du Courant d'Huchet" at one end of the beach on the south shore of the Lac de Leon. It's quite pricey - €13, €18 or €23 for 2, 3 or 4 hours - but you have to bear in mind that there are only half-a-dozen paying passengers in each boat and the poor man has a pretty hard slog of it, especially rowing back against the current.
