Beach
Plage de Dieppe, situated in the charming coastal town of Dieppe, France, is a popular destination for tourists seeking a serene beach experience. With its tranquil sandy shores and clear waters, it's perfect for sunbathing and swimming. The beach offers various amenities to cater to visitors' needs, including water sports equipment rentals and free introductory courses during the summer months. Additionally, there are shops, a bar, and opportunities to purchase souvenirs and ice cream nearby.
We all love this beach house but we don’t know how to get there and we can’t even get there yet because of all of this stuff and we don’t have any other places that are open yet but we have a really good one that is really good for the price and it’s a beautiful beach and we can get there in a few days and then go to a beach house or whatever we wanna call that place and then go back and do it again so it’s not like we have to go back and get the house 🏠 but I just have no one ☝️ or a place for me I have a house 🏡 that I don’t have to pay 💰 for it but I have to go to the store to buy the stuff I can go back to my house! Overall another gem 💎.

Historical bucket list item for me and I loved the visit. Off season for tourists probably but I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Plage de Dieppe is a place where the beauty of the Normandy coastline truly shines. Instead of fine sand, the beach is made up of smooth pebbles, which give it a distinctive charm—especially when the waves roll in and make that soft, rolling sound as the water recedes. On a sunny day, the English Channel sparkles in shades of blue and green, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful walk or just sitting back and watching the horizon. Just love it
Muhammad M — Google review
Very beautiful beach with an view on the cliffs, the beach is mostly made out of small stones. Additionally, it is incredibly beautiful to see the castle from the beach. The water at this beach is beautifully light blue. Close to the beach there are several public toilets. When there is not a lot of wind the beach is ideal to sun.

Shingle beach best known for the failed landing attempt in WW2, every soldier was killed or captured. As far as beaches go it is not great.
Ewan B — Google review
beach with pebbles (so it hurts a bit if walking barefoot), we brought picnic mats to sit down for dinner and watch the sunset. There are many people here too. 😮
Rachel N — Google review
The nearest beach in paris. The beach good, but its just a lot of stones/rocks unlike to other beach that has sands.
Faisah Y — Google review
A beautiful stone beach with lots of space to sun bathe. Check the tide times as when the tide is out there is also soft sand that you can enjoy with your children. The water was cold but there were plenty of people swimming. The beach has many lifeguards and clear beach signs to show where to swim. Near the beach are lots of toilets and also kiosks for food and souvenirs. There us free parking but gets very busy so get there early especially in summer time.

Historical landmark
Chateau Musee de Dieppe, located in Dieppe, France, is a hilltop castle with a rich history dating back to the 14th century. Overlooking the English Channel, it has served as a military fortress, prison, and now houses an impressive museum. The museum features fine paintings, artworks, ivory carvings from the impressionist era and folding lace fans. Visitors can also enjoy stunning views of the city rooftops and waterfront from this historical site.
Simple but nice castle. The walk up to the castle is doable, the view is very pretty! We didn’t enter the museum, but looked around the castle and in the shop. If you’re exploring Dieppe, you should pay a visit to the castle! Wouldn’t take up much of your time.
Naomi B — Google review
A very beautiful place to take a walk around. Had a really great time! Can’t say much about the museum itself but enjoyed examining the old maps, boats, the château itself and the premises. Worth visiting!
Masha Y — Google review
This was great! It is free for people under the age of 25 and only 6.50 for other people. The building itself is beautifull with many great views. There is also a piano which you can play if you want to! All in all, this is a must visit if you are going to Dieppe!
Kevin Y — Google review
Pretty cool place to visit. Beautiful area with plenty to see without paying to enter museum, but worth the entry fee. Easily can spend 2 hours or more just walking around and enjoying everything. Be prepared for uphill walking. Very limited parking (5 cars at the top), but there is free parking near the beach which is about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the chateau. Defiently worth visiting.
Matthew A — Google review
A beautiful Château on the cliffs near the beach good for small hike, view from the top is beautiful and calming, you can book the ticket and visit the museum inside the castle or you can take the walk alongside the cliffs.
Arpita G — Google review
The grounds were free to enter and it wasn't expensive to get inside the castle. The view is the best from the top .

The Museum Michel Ciry showcases a collection of exquisite paintings by the talented artist. However, the exhibition featuring painters and sculptors from Dieppois left much to be desired, with only a few watercolors and sculptures capturing attention. On a different note, the gallery itself is housed in a charmingly preserved Verangeville location, complemented by an enchanting garden. This art museum is highly recommended for its overall experience without being biased towards anyone's personal encounter.
Wonderful gallery, exhibition, house and garden in the delightfully unspoilt Verangeville. Highly recommended.

Jardin Shamrock is a somewhat remote garden that may not be easily accessible, but it offers a small area filled with hydrangeas from around the world, showcasing interesting colors and shapes. Although the flowering period might have passed during a visit, it's still considered worth exploring for enthusiasts of gardens. The beautiful hydrangea beds make it worth the detour, especially for those interested in discovering new varieties of hydrangeas.
Nice and calm garden with the widest range of hydrangeas. Careful you need to pay to enter (9€ I think) but cash only! They do not accept CB. Free parking, the street to access is quite small. Bench available. It’s not too big, so defo plan your visit with other attractions around (Varengeville is a very cute village).
Anais G — Google review
Really great garden with endless hydrangeas in all colors and sizes. Superb photo opportunities.
Stockholm F — Google review
Unbelievably rude To respond to the owners comment I'm happy to elaborate and share our experience with the member of staff at the entrance today. We arrived having enjoyed a 2 hour walk through the beautiful surroundings with an elderly relative. We hadn't realised that only cash was accepted so asked where the nearest cash point was. As it was some distance away we asked if our elderly relative could sit at the bench located at the entrance whilst we walked to withdraw cash. We were told this is not possible until we had paid. At first we thought this was a misunderstanding, but after asking again politely the lady at reception shrugged, pointed at her leg in a cast and said that she can go and 'sit in the nature' whilst pointing at the grass. We appreciate that valuable bench space at the entrance might be reserved for paying customers only, however telling a woman in her 70s to sit on the ground for half an hour when there is plenty of seating available is pretty shocking! I'm sure there have been many happy visits to what I can only imagine is a rather nice garden in beautiful surroundings, but luckily we passed on the chance following our experience and ended up visiting the Manoir d'Ango next door which was wonderful and I'd definitely recommend instead.
Josh S — Google review

French restaurant
Le Trèfle - Restaurant du Casino de Dieppe offers a delightful dining experience with a panoramic view of the sea. The chef showcases traditional cuisine with a modern twist, highlighting the skills of local producers and farmers. Situated on the second floor, the restaurant boasts natural light and an inviting ambiance. Guests can savor bistronomic dishes while taking in the stunning seascape. Additionally, there's a Lounge bar for socializing and a Casino Bar for drinks.
Dieppe is such a beautiful harbour town. We found this restaurant the last time we were there. The views are great and the atmosphere is excellent. We had some of the best food at this restaurant. Probably the best oysters I have ever tasted. The bar up the road is also very cool. It’s called Epsom. Fab cocktails.
Not N — Google review
We were in Dieppe on a Sunday and not much is open for dinner on a Sunday in Dieppe. Situated atop the casino with a view of the waterfront, we were treated to the view of a lovely sunset. The servers were friendly and helpful. I ordered the sea bream, a type of fish I'd never had before, and it was delicious. I asked the waiter for a recommendation on the wine and he suggested a Chablis which paired perfectly with the sea bream. For dessert, I had the millefeuille which was fresh and delicious. I would definitely visit Le Trefle if I return to Dieppe!
Christine R — Google review
Food was great here and of course a stunning view. Service and atmosphere were average unfortunately (it likely did not help that the restaurant was not very busy whilst we were there). If you’re in a nearby hotel it’s a convenient location to grab lunch for sure.
Charlotte C — Google review
Worst lunch experience I’ve ever had. Waiters are not reactive, they made us wait around 10mins to give us the menu. After that we waited for more than 30mins for 3 meals: For two of the meals: The French fries were cold and dry. The meat was awful. (I ate half of the meat and didn’t touch more than 1/4 for the French fries) For the other meals it was barely the same problem (badly unfrozen or cooked). Don’t go to this restaurant.
_V_O_C_ — Google review
There are far better restaurants in Dieppe. This place is badly let down by appalling service and attitude of the staff. Their lethargy is unbelievable! We waited and waited at every stage , waiting for menus, then to placing the order...and on it went! Food flavours are fine but portions are very mean so you will feel like going out to a restaurant after this! The prices in no way represent value for money and the place, to cap it all, is devoid of atmosphere and on a sunny evening you could be blinded by the sun through huge window that have no sun blinds fitted. So, on balance, this restaurant is not recommended as the town has so many far better choices and if you go elsewhere, you will avoid being both ripped off and disappointed ( as well as hungry!)...
Ron C — Google review
Nice view, excellent service, quality and delicious food, beautifully prepared, beautifully served.

We have booked just 10 minutes before the arrival, seems like the bar girl doesn't realize the new booking. So, she split out the word " Putant" after we noticed her about our reservation. The food is good, the server(girl) is work hard and smiling.

"Les Régates" is a restaurant beautifully located on the beach of Pourville, with stunning ocean views. Despite facing some challenges in recent years, it has made a comeback. Nothing to shout about except for the view. Service is poor for a restaurant. We ordered food to share, oysters (cold) and mussels (hot). They came together without sharing plates. The 12 oysters came with one small slice of lemon and one oyster fork to “share”🤣 coffee with spéculos was good

The park boasts an impressive collection of giant rhododendrons and the Shamrock garden hosts the largest collection of hydrangeas in the world. The area around Varengeville showcases the unspoiled beauty of nature, with the Vasterival valley offering a grandiose and intimate setting.

Nice park-like area (not a forest), house and garden nicely tuned to each other. OK guided tour, mostly French spoken. Guide did not want to translate it all, although he spoke English.

This place was well maintained and had many beautiful floral trees. Being someone who seeks out a more natural setting though, I disliked how many tourists were there even on a weekday. You never we're able to have too much time alone since everyone follows the trail. None the less, it was a nice walk on a spring day..only a little chilly in the shady parts.

Lovely gardens; over looking the sea with the most beautiful views of topery and flowers. There's also the very pretty woods full of lushous greens as well as interesting trees and jungle like plants. Pretty good place to take children to run free and have fun while parents watch the sea view. There's also a beautiful house to look around but not as good for children. Parking is also free and most staff speak fluent English. Would definitely go again and everybody should take a look if in the area.

This is an Arts & Crafts house designed by Edward Lutyens with a garden by Gertrude Jeykll, the first of their collaborations. You can't see inside the house at the moment, but the garden is spectacular. Around the house are a series of 'rooms', which are well presented, and then you walk down a valley with mature trees, and wonderful rhododendrons and azaleas at this time of year. The weather was a bit dull, but it didn't take away at all from the sheer exuberance of the displays. Note that the garden is open for two hours in the morning, and four in the afternoon. I think you need at least two hours to properly appreciate the garden !

The single most impressive garden and park I've ever seen. A true master piece! I'm not surprised to read that the British architect of the garden later designed a palace for a king in New Delhi! Budget 2 hours for the visit, the park is huge!

Manoir d'Ango is a remarkable destination with an exquisite dovecote and rich historical significance. It provides a captivating introduction to Dieppe's past, particularly through the fascinating story of Jean d'Arcy. When visited, it offers a peaceful ambiance without unnecessary additions such as a gift shop. The receptionist's genuine delight in seeing English tourists adds to the overall experience.
Well worth a look lovely garden and the building is so historic and €6 each bargains. It does close for long lunch and opens after 2

Lovely manoir that is a must see if you're around. Not so much to see, but the architecture of the building makes it worthwhile. Be sure to peak in the pigeonnerie!

A jewel of a place. Fantastic dovecote. The history of Jean d'Arcy is a good intro to Dieppe. Very quiet when we visited. No useless additions like a gift shop. Lady at reception so delighted to see English tourists. Makes all the difference.

(Translated by Google) July 4, 2025 Very beautiful manor house with a magnificent dovecote. Don't hesitate to stop on the bench near the pond and savor the moment. No guided tour in the morning, but the receptionist gave us a detailed description of the grounds. Very professional. The €6 price for a self-guided tour may be a bit excessive. (Translated by Google) Thank you for visiting your beautiful residence. Special thanks also go to the friendly lady at the reception, who immediately recognized us – we were from Germany – and gave us a warm welcome. She explained a lot to us and gave us a very helpful brochure in German. The exhibits are described in three languages: French, English, and German, which makes the visit particularly enjoyable. The entrance fee of €6 is absolutely fair and very reasonable. Overall, a worthwhile and enriching visit that we can only recommend to everyone.

"La Terrasse" is a hotel restaurant located in the charming and bucolic setting of Vasterival, facing the sea. It exudes a nostalgic charm passed down through generations, reminiscent of a family pension. The friendly and top-notch team ensures a pleasant dining experience with good cuisine and magnificent sea views. Guests can also enjoy a leisurely walk in the beautiful surroundings. The restaurant offers fresh, well-cooked, and tasty dishes with a perfect panorama.

(Translated by Google) What a disappointment! A starter was served at the same time as the appetizer. The beef fillet was ordered medium rare and served cooked with a pan of frozen vegetables. At 32 euros per dish, it's shameful. The staff is unfriendly. You should go there just for the superb view. Too bad 😠 (Original) Quelle déception ! (Translated by Google) Still as perfect as ever. The years go by, but the pleasure is still there. I absolutely love this place, which keeps its promises and remains consistent in the quality of its services. The staff is lovely, and the "Deux Sœurs" are as welcoming as they are discreet. Not to mention the excellent menu and the breathtaking view. I'll be there again for my birthday on Sunday, and, surely not satisfied, I'll return on the 28th with two friends. Don't change a thing. Your faithful neighbor in Veules-les-Roses.

(Translated by Google) We've been coming to this restaurant with our parents since we were little. Its setting is already magical, thanks to the bay window overlooking the sea in the distance. The welcome is very warm. The daughters of the former owners have successfully taken over the reins, with a lot of hard work. The food is homemade and delicious: the fish soup is thick, the bone marrow is golden brown, the sole is meaty, and the apple tart is delicious, topped with almond cream.

Auberge du Relais is a charming hotel and restaurant located in Varengeville-sur-Mer, offering a delightful terrace where guests can enjoy drinks, lunch, or dinner during the summer months. The establishment boasts two spacious dining rooms serving traditional cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. Fabienne, the owner, warmly welcomes guests and passionately shares about her beloved restaurant. Visitors praise the beautiful garden, attentive service, and delicious food at reasonable prices.
The food at the Auberge was incredibly tasty, everything that we had was just really good. The Veggieburger and all the dishes with apples in it will be especially fondly remembered. Service was also extremely friendly and welcoming (also to our Dog!), so we can totally recommend going there.

This was by far the worst meal and service I've had in my three week holiday in France. I ordered the meat of the day, as did my wife, the sirloin steak that arrived was not the best looking but I did hope for the best. Unfortunately it was full of gristle and sinew. I chewed about half of it and gave up. When eventually the waitress came over I pointed out that the meal was very poor she pretended to not understand, despite using Google translate to help, and walked away. I didn't expect to be given a free meal but an apology would have been nice. She has the worst attitude I've encountered, and I've travelled worldwide and eaten out plenty. I left having paid full price, no apologies and rather hungry. This is one of the few of my many reviews where I would advise you to seriously consider another establishment.

Good food and service (the café gourmand was delicious). Unfortunately the lady in charge of front-of-house showed us no warmth whatsoever, which dampened the evening slightly.
Robert B — Google review
Awful food, impersonal service & ride staff member, who just shrugged her shoulders & walked off when she asked if everything was ok, and we told her the steak has been chewy & gristly. Possibly the worst experience of a meal out I've ever had.
Janice R — Google review
Very bad service, rude personal. Would not recommend at all, as soon as you speak English the mood changes to very bad!
Ana K — Google review
The desserts were the star of the evening - each of them extremely well composed out of highest quality ingredients (e.g. the chocolate sauce evidently made of real, highest quality chocolate, the vanilla ice cream had loads of real vanilla bean in it, etc.). The starters and mains likewise had very fresh ingredients and were prepared in very traditional ways; they lacked the little twists and surprises, however, that innovative menus would offer, and the flavours sometimes didn't really blend, hence 4 stars. The service was very friendly and had a family feel, and I really liked the tastefully modern interior in a quaint setting. All in all, this restaurant is a great choice if you either look for very traditional French food or are in the area (it's a few minutes from the amazing Bois de Moutiers, a must- see garden and park in Dieppe); however, if you look for more modern, creative food, the restaurant may not justify a trip out of town or big detour.
