Montana Ale Works is a popular gathering place in Bozeman, serving the community for over 20 years. Located in a historic railway freight house, it offers a wide selection of over 40 craft beers on tap and artisan-distilled spirits. The menu features locally sourced ingredients including beef and bison burgers, steaks, ribs, salads, sandwiches, and pastas. With nightly specials and a Kids Menu available, it caters to both locals and visitors.
Went to dinner here on the last night of our vacation, and did not disappoint. Our meals were delicious and our server was fantastic! Love that they source most of their ingredients locally. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. If we make it back to the Bozeman area, I'd definitely go back for another meal.

Picked this place as a random Google search before a concert and boy-oh-boy did we hit the jackpot! Cool energy, great staff/service and the food was amazing. Great variety but it all seemed to make sense. We ended up with the house mac & cheese, schnitzel and panacotta for dessert along with some cocktails. Everything was amazing. Cannot wait to return!

Great place! Entrees are a bit expensive, but sandwiches are delicious and reasonable. A hack is that any patty can be swapped into any sandwich. I got the elk burger as described on the menu and it was great! The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. There is also a nice selection of beers. I recommend the huckleberry cream ale. Service was fast and friendly. The building looks like an old train depot, and the whole place has an old west, train vibe, but it looks clean and modern at the same time.

Our group enjoyed our dining experience here. They had tasty beers, delicious food and friendly service. My only complaint was that my order of medium rare steak came out super rare, more so than any other place I've ever eaten. I could have asked them to cook it a bit longer but didn't want to make a big deal out of it. The atmosphere was definitely cool, wish I could have eaten inside but the patio wasn't bad. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through town.

I came here for dinner and was surprised positively. The food was great and a good portion. Beside the main menu they offer a daily menu with fresh dishes. They also have a lot of beer options to choose from. The staff was friendly and helpful.

There was a little miscommunication between the hosts as we called and made a reservation and they thought our party had showed up and had been seated already when we arrived. But once sat the service and food was amazing! I had the 12 oz New York strip, mash potatoes and Brussel spouts. My steak was just as I ordered it and had amazing flavor. Definitely would go again!
Aurora R — Google review
A friend told us about the MAW. We came at about 7pm on a Tuesday evening. Even though there were people all over and a weekly outdoor farmer's market was in the park across the street, we only waited 15 minutes to be sat. We tried a couple mixed drinks and I had the Cloud Stout. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and loved it! There was a toasted cheese top with a yummy tomato-based sauce over it--it was delicious with the home-made tortilla chips. I had the Montana meat loaf (pork, beef and bison) with a brown gravy, mashed potatoes (left a little chunky!) and sauteed veggies. Hearty and paired well with the stout. Another had the Mac Cheese with a little truffle oil and loved it. My wife enjoyed the house salad. So good!

A must visit if you’re in Bozeman. Incredible food, we had the bison potstickers, steak and pork which did not disappoint. The cocktail menu is extensive and very tempting!

The Western Café is a classic American diner located in Bozeman, known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious home-cooked meals. The café's rustic decor pays homage to the cowboy heritage of the region, creating a welcoming environment for locals and visitors alike. Serving up breakfast and lunch daily, the menu features favorites like chicken fried steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, as well as unique dishes such as the Bobcat Special - cinnamon roll slices prepared French toast style.
This is a cozy restaurant that locals love for their breakfast! We had Best and ‘the West’, Harvest omelette, Southwestern omelette and Harvest scramble! They were all so delicious; however the specialty chicken fried steak was the best of all. It is always busy here; after seating the service was prompt and excellent!

Loved this cute, historic café! The moment you walk in, you're taken back in time, especially with the classic red spiny stool at the bar. The food was comforting and satisfying. I ordered the Lunch Break, and it tasted fresh and was very filling. Everyone who worked there was incredibly kind and welcoming.

Busy place on a mid morning Tuesday but we were seated without a wait. Ordered Huevos Rancheros. Was offered the choice of corn or flour tortillas. The eggs were perfect over easy. The salsa was tasty. I still can't put my finger on it but it seemed to be missing something. Clean with lots to look look at on the walls.

What an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the friendly smiles and cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home — all the way from Easton, Maryland! The service was fast, genuine, and full of that Montana warmth you can’t fake. The food? Simply outstanding! Every bite was fresh, hearty, and full of flavor — true comfort food done right. Whether it’s breakfast or lunch, you can tell everything’s made with love and local pride. Western Café captures everything that makes Bozeman special — great people, great food, and a welcoming vibe that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommend to anyone visiting town! 👌💙

A super popular breakfast spot—every seat was taken when we arrived! The food was absolutely delicious, but what stood out even more was the amazing atmosphere. Cozy, welcoming, and full of energy. Loved everything about this café!

The only classic American diner in Bozeman! Quick, fast, friendly service. Make sure to try the Best of the West if you want one of the best country fried steaks of your life. The cinnamon Rolls sell out quickly daily, try to score one before they're all gone. Biscuits that are dream-worthy. Extra gravy is always a must.
Cheyenne P — Google review
We tried to get breakfast at the Western Cafe, but sat for about 10 minutes while every table around us got service (all of whom showed up after us), including their orders taken, coffee, and juice, all the while we didn't get a word or a glance from either of the two servers working our area. I got a distinct feeling we were not welcome, and that this restaurant has a very specific clientele that it caters and gives preference to. We left and are sitting at Main Street Overeasy now, which has been incredible so far.

The Nova Café is a vibrant and bustling diner located in the heart of historic downtown Bozeman. It has gained a well-deserved reputation for serving some of the best breakfast in town since 2005.
5 stars all around for this quaint establishment. We were lured here by the chai teas and mochas…best in town. But we keep coming back for the breakfast. Fresh clean ingredients and perfect portions, never too much or too little. I always get the juevos rancheros but they have many high protein with veggie options. Also great vibe of a coffee shop with delicious in-house baked muffins and rolls. There’s usually a short wait for breakfast. Super friendly staff. We will keep returning!

Nice quiet little café. Not too busy. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Food was out quick and fresh. Very large portions, so if you have kids that might not eat a lot, order one or the combos with multiple items and share it to save a little and waste less. We had breakfast.

Nova is a vibrant breakfast and lunch spot that immediately draws you in with its colorful ambiance and walls adorned with art from talented local artists. The atmosphere had an energetic yet welcoming vibe, with a nice mix of locals and visitors like myself. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure guests felt at home. The menu is creative and vegan-friendly. I ordered the chia waffle with raspberry coulis, and it was absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented. Nova is one of those places where the food, atmosphere, and service all come together perfectly. Highly recommend for a fresh, flavorful start to your day.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Had chai waffles, Gluten-free free with coconut oil... to die for! Chorizo eggs and pancakes. Absolutely delicious! And the staff?they look a little awkward not gonna lie, but they are super kind and welcoming

If you’re looking for a hip, modern environment rather than a traditional American setting, this is the place to be. I had the pancakes, which were too bready for my taste and a bit dry - too bulky to resemble a classic pancake recipe. The staff was very friendly and polite.

Blackbird is a charming eatery located in Bozeman, known for its inviting atmosphere and delectable Italian-inflected American cuisine. The restaurant features high ceilings and an open kitchen where guests can watch as their wood-fired pizzas and homemade pastas are prepared. Blackbird's menu showcases a variety of dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, including salads, small plates, and main courses that change based on seasonal availability.
Definitely a place to get a reservation. The two of us were lucky to get a spot at the “kitchen bar” which over looks the folks making pizza. I enjoyed watching them working. The staff was all very nice and seemed to work together well. I loved the kale salad and the pizza… one of the best pizza I’ve had in a while! We finished it off with tiramisu 🙌 definitely recommend

Walked in on a Thursday night and got seated by the bar. Hip popular restaurant with good tasty food and attentive service. We ordered the chickpea hummus, spinach cannellon (SOOO good!) and diavola with added prosciutto ( excellent pizza btw), they are all on point! Highly recommend!
Kit W — Google review
We went to on a Friday night at 830 pm. The place was packed (did not feel crowded though) and the vibe was nice right from when we entered. We ordered all vegetarian dishes and they were all so very tasteful. I would 100% recommend the Spinach Cannelloni. It was the showstopper of our dinner along with the garlic scapes. The bread that they give with bread and olive oil is large and very tasty. We also got the red and white wine carafes which very very good and a good deal for the price. I would make a reservation in advance
Priyal P — Google review
TLDR; really great spot for authentic Italian food. We came in on a Thursday evening with reservations are were shocked to see how full the place was. The line to talk to the host was so long that it took us nearly 10 minutes to just let them know we were here. Between the two of us, we ordered the eggplant as an appetizer, and the stracciatella and spinach cannelloni as mains to split. The eggplant is quite exceptional - the flavors are really unique and is now one my favorite ways of cooking eggplants. The stracciatella pizza was super nice too - the base was soft, the sauce was delicious. They originally brought us the stracciatella appetizer, and though we didn’t try any, it looks absolutely delicious- perhaps even better than the pizza.

A very popular place in town, I suggest to make reservation ahead. It was a little bit noisy but The vibe was good, we had ordered few dishes, the price was a little raised comparing their old menu, which I’m not so agreed but acceptable. all taste great and extraordinary, we were happy with the meal.

We were a group of 6! We ordered two Mostarda pizzas and two kale salads for sharing... warning the salad is spicy. But the right amount of spice. We also shared a a ranch steak skewer. Very tasty and excellent service.

One of our favorite spots on Main to eat and enjoy the room. Always a good energy here and we love trying the new seasonal flavors. Pizza is always a win, but don’t sleep on the oddities on the menu you’ve Bear heard of but must trust your server about what is yummy.

Nestled in the Bozeman Brewery Historic District, Mountains Walking Brewery is a popular spot known for its impressive menu of Montana drafts and inventive hops-infused slushies. The brewery offers a cozy and rustic atmosphere, making it an ideal place to enjoy a pint with friends. In addition to their excellent beer selection, the brewery also serves delicious bar food including tachos, cauliflower wings, sandwiches, and wood-fired pizza.
Originally was hesitant to go to a brewery because i thought the food wouldnt be as good but i was floored by the food! Best brewery or brew pub ive ever been! We started with brussel sprouts and parmesian fries, both if which were excellent and had a beautiful appetising presentation. The fries were amazing and a nice strong truffle flavour and the brussel sprouts were really crispy and juicy; just too salty for all of us and for me a little too much on the sour side. We ordered an umami bomb and grotto meats pancetta pizza and they were excellent. The elegant pizza oven that heats up to 700 degrees made the pizza have a awesome smoky flavour and super crispy; even the crust was delicious and craveable. The one with the arugula on too had a subtle sweet flavour and the meat one was a perfect blend of the flavours and very memorable. I also love how thin they were. I got the bison chili bowl and was very impressed by the presentation and really enjoyed it. The cheese melted in your mouth and it was super satisfying. The cornbread was the best ive ever had. Too bad i couldnt finish either though. The service and atmosphere were both excellent and it was loud and bustling and perfect lighting. The bathroom however was unclean and there was water all over the floor. But still the prices were REALLY great for generous portions like the bison chili being very cheap at $14. I also want to mention is that i wish there were more options on the nonalcoholic drink menu like shirley temple or all sorts of fruit juices which would have made dinner even better. Every brewery or bar should have more options Overall highly reccomend this place and we will come again definitely some day. Thank you and happy holidays!! The ahmon family 12/20/24

Amazing! I’d fly back again just to come here! I walked in and they were playing some great tunes by the Sex Pistols, Rancid, and The Ramones. I knew I was in a legit spot. Ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Thigh Sandwich dipped in buffalo sauce. This was a 11/10! The fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. The beer was delicious and refreshing. Recommend the Damsel Fly or Nice Fella. I’ll be back next time! Cheers.

Mountains Walking Brewery is such a gem in Bozeman! We stopped in and the food and drinks blew us away. The totchos with pulled pork are out-of-this-world—crispy tots, tender pulled pork, and all the right toppings. Truly one of the best apps we’ve had in a long time. (And just to clarify after reading some other reviews—we’re not from California 😉… we’re from Chicago, and we know a good app when we eat one!) The drinks were just as impressive. The huckleberry seltzer was refreshing and had that perfect Montana vibe, while the yuzu seltzer was crisp, citrusy, and unique. Both were so good that I couldn’t pick a favorite. Between the fun, relaxed atmosphere, creative drinks, and absolutely killer food, this is the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. Mountains Walking is a 10/10 stop in Bozeman!

We stopped in here with a larger group of 7 and the experience was really great. The atmosphere was very pleasant, dark lightning, quality ravens and chairs. Jenny was our waitress and she did a great job! She was on the ball with drinks and making sure we were happy, the food did take a long time to reach our table, 22 minutes wait for appetizers, and a additional 18 minutes for the food, wasn’t anyone’s fault I’m sure they were busy but was rather long to wait for chicken wings and chips salsa and queso The quality of The food was great tasting seasoned well and well cooked and prepared, I recommend the chicken wings, chips queso and the mustang burger.

Went to lunch at MW on Friday and had such an exceptional service experience. From the moment I sat down to wait for the other member of my party our waitress was easing the way. She offered me a sample of a beverage I was wavering on, she welcomed me to take my time with ordering. She shared upfront unavailable items on the menu. Even though we were in deep conversations throughout our meal she found the perfect opportunities to check in on us - she was always one step ahead and had such a calm and caring demeanor. I wish I could remember her name. She has light pink hair and smiling eyes. MW team you found an exceptional human in that one. Eating out is as expensive as it’s ever been but when you have kind, in-tune, attentive service team members (along with great food - our pizza was excellent) the whole experience is elevated. We both walked out to our cars from lunch talking about our awesome server!!!
Karen L — Google review
I have a strange feeling that many of these five star ratings are just Californians used to the worst service ever. The entire parking lot was full of their license plates. Not sure why breweries decide to do this thing where they seat more people than they can handle because it negatively affects the experience of the customers, at the very least mine. My server took a while to come over to us first, perhaps 5-10 minutes and then proceeded to confuse me into ordering a Caesar salad as a full entree when I asked for an Italian sub... I don't understand this. It was clear if she was trying to suggest a salad to me to give me a small or side type of thing. Then she forgets my Italian sub I watched her write on her little post-it. As someone who has worked in the restaurant business, who writes orders on post-it notes? When the pretzel came, no napkins were provided either. It took awhile to get that under control. Not even plates to share it. The server was quite inept and failed to come over to us multiple times even with empty glasses clearly visible. She looked over maybe 5-10 times and came over 2-3. It almost felt disrespectful and rude. It took us quite a long time to even get a bill to leave. When given the bill, she said she'd bring the toast machine over then proceeded to put it down somewhere and forget about us again even glancing at the check on the table and still not coming over to cash us out. The ambiance was alright I guess but nothing special. I'd recommend skipping this place and trying somewhere that values your time and money. The tip was very low. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a brewery/restaurant and it's not an exaggeration. Just dazed workers with no care in the world. My senile grandma can remember orders, move faster and such way better than that. My tab doesn't even have the server's name on it which is a shame. Check #68, July 4th 2025. In response to the business’s reply: I’m not sure why this business is making me seem like the unreasonable one here. I’m not even that stingy about service and I usually let a lot of things go. The business does not even offer me to contact them to resolve the problem suggesting to me they are only trying to improve optics. The waitress was very attentive to every other group she had giving them second and third drinks, boxes and checking in on them multiple times. The waitress informed me that the kitchen was backed up as well so when the salad came (large) I just thought in the end I’ll just take it home and wait for my Italian sub to not cause a problem. After a while, it became obvious to me it was forgotten. If my waitress refused to come over to me multiple times, even after I waved which was rude but had no choice, why would I want to try and resolve this Italian sub order issue? It would have just wasted my time more because she refuses to come back. There is no resolution that would have given me back my time and money or is this business suggesting I would have been refunded? I highly doubt that and would have taken a whole other hour. Just what I would want after an already terrible experience: paying for my Italian sub and waiting another hour to get it. Maybe it was because we were in rodeo outfits or something? I wouldn’t be surprised. My friend had AR-15s on his shirt and I had a cowboy hat on. Perhaps there was some cultural tension but I’m speculating. I don’t know what the problem was genuinely but she seemed fine handling every other table. I watched her go up to her other tables multiple times before she even looked over at us to then ignore us. She also had to walk by us to get to the other tables and wouldn’t even glance at us. I had an empty glass on my table for like 20 minutes which she looked at multiple times… Waiting 30+ minutes to get her to give us the check so we can leave is unacceptable by any industry standard. Safe to say, I’m not coming to this place ever again even if you paid me and I suggest others avoid it.

We loved it so much we stopped back through before leaving Montana.

I LOVE Wild Crumb! It is AMAZING. I don't live in Bozeman, but I love going there just so I can go to Wild Crumb. Their pastries, sandwiches, and other items are absolutely DELICIOUS. I was there a few weeks ago. I bought a peanut butter M&M cookie, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, a GORGEOUS citrus cake covered in white chocolate with flowers, and a fruit and cream cheese danish. Everything was INCREDIBLE. I also bought a fruit tart, but I admit I prefer a traditional custard filling even though it was still good. I've had their cookies, croissants, and granola which are also AWESOME. Wild Crumb is in a beautiful building and neighborhood. The ambience is wonderful. The employees are fantastic. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend Wild Crumb!

It took about 20-30 minutes to get my coffee, which felt quite long for a café. I'd suggest ordering your coffee first, and once you receive it, then ordering your pastry - pastry options are limited for a sit-down café. Service at the register was great; the employee was polite and attentive. However, I could sense her frustration, as many customers were waiting a long time while other staff seemed more focused on small talk than efficiency. Overall, good service at the counter but room for mprovement in speed and coordination.i left without waiting any longer for my coffee.

Beer selection was great. Also have order-at-the-counter food selection, including tacos, burritos and bowls. Food was tasty, beer was great.

Love the burritos here! The employees have a hard time remembering what you order. Ordered a chicken fajita burrito, got home, no chicken. I paid for chicken also, so that sucks! Still love the food! I will have to pay better attention next time and ignore the other person for a minute. The other worker was trying to ring me up so I was distracted. Bummer. For the price you pay for a burrito they need to pay better attention to what you say.

Always a great experience at SHINE. Started with a couple of tacos - one bison and one ground beef. Asked if they had a hot sauce: "this one will punch you in the face." Yep. Good. Had a couple of local brews and hung out up top and the front patio. Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon!

This place is fantastic! The owner is a hoot, the beer is excellent (and there is lots of it). There is a rooftop bar and a bottle shop. Such a great place!

So I walked by this place thinking…I’m not sure I’m in the mood for a taco or burrito, and why do you sell soup alongside those items?! I turned around though, ordered my self the best taco I may have ever eaten! Spicy pork. So tender, so juicy, such a treat! And then chicken covered chips to go with that. All topped with the freshest ingredients. Sided with Coca hecho en Mexico. How can you go wrong? You can’t. I want to come back here and try every menu item there is. It was THAT good.

Hate to do it but have to after this visit today, I had to delete my 5 star review from 7 yrs ago. I have been a dedicated patron for almost 30 years. So much so that I had them cater my wedding in 2000. I don’t enjoy going to that side of town since they moved and were La Parilla so I get 5 made at a time and freeze the other 4. I always get the Santa Fe chicken and the Khan. The Khans have been slowly getting worse so now only get 2 and 3 Fe’s. I had the Fe just now and was shocked how bad it was. I think they put the nacho cheese on it instead of that really good Fe sauce. Idk, maybe it’s just slipped in quality too. For $15/burrito, I’m done. So sad to see, what used to be a really great place, that stood out, go downhill so severely.

So glad I stopped into this amazing beer sanctuary and bottle shop!!! beer selections were unique and wide ranged. beautifully designed taproom with an amazing bottle shop in the back. Casey, my bartender and now life long friend, ;) was hands down the nicest person I met on my west coast trip and possibly the most knowledgeable bartender i’ve ever chatted with. He not only knew the tasting notes of all 30 beers on tap, he was informing me on the hops, the different processes of each brew and the story behind the brewery! He is hands down the best bartender i’ve ever had!

Fast food restaurant
Five on Black is a fast-casual Brazilian restaurant that offers fresh, healthy, and affordable food. The owners have a unique story, and the atmosphere and menu are equally distinctive. They provide straightforward options for those seeking healthy choices. In Bozeman's downtown area, this family-owned restaurant serves authentic Brazilian dishes with rich and spicy flavors. It's a great spot to enjoy the taste of Brazil either by having the staff prepare your dish or by choosing your own ingredients to create it yourself.
It’s a quick lunch place. Never been there before and the guy working was very nice. I had the Feijoda which was really fresh and tasty. Loved the cheese breads too
Bonnie C — Google review
3 stars because of service. I ordered pickup and when I arrived the staff were sitting around doing nothing and had not even started making my 2 prepaid bowls nor the 1/2 dozen pao. I asked for my order and they had to then go to their machine to print the tickets to start making the bowls. Then it was another 10 minutes of me waiting there because they hadn’t started cooking the pao yet. Your team needs to be retrained on operations efficiency so that customers who are picking up food don’t have to wait around for 15 minutes for a PICKUP order. And it’s important to note that the restaurant was not busy at all so it wasn’t because they were slammed with orders. Food was good.

Wow! I mean, yes! The food is fresh and delicious. It combines the customization of a Chipotle with the vibe of an independent chain. It's worth your time to eat here. I got the Brazilian stew and my brother got a tofu/sweet potato mix.

My wife is gluten intolerant and this place has been a go to whenever we visit Bozeman thanks due to its great gluten free options. Super tasty and fresh, plus hearty portions. Big fan of the sweet potatoes. Decent prices too, you can walk away paying 11 dollars for a lunch. Highly recommend!

Great lunch option- it’s nice to be able to get Brazilian food simply & easily ! The pao de queijo was okay, but I wish it was hot & fresh ! A treat to have

This is the best lunch. It's far superior to any fast food, yet you can run in and get a delicious bowl of hot food with minimal waiting. There are choices for everyone. Try some of their little "cheese biscuits". You won't regret it. They also have glass bottles of soda!!! When was the last time you saw that?

Sushi restaurant
Located on the bustling main street of Bozeman, Hooked Sushi is a must-visit for sushi enthusiasts. The restaurant offers an extensive menu featuring a fusion of eastern tradition and western innovation, resulting in bold flavors and inventive twists on classic favorites. Whether you choose to dine in or take your meal to go, Hooked Sushi promises a delightful experience with its crave-worthy sushi, ramen, and appetizers.
Hooked came recommended by staff at the Treasure State Hostel where I was staying. What a delicious treat for veggies! I started off with the fried cauliflower (tempura style), then had the Dandelion roll for my main course (tofu, scallion, cucumber, and avocado). Everything was beautifully presented and light but filling. My server suggested the lemon-basil-lavender cocktail; I had sake added to it, which was a perfect accompaniment to my meal.

The best sushi I’ve had so far in the state of Montana. The fish was insanely fresh, and the restaurant has a really cool vibe inside. Also super accommodating to gluten-free needs. Will now be a must-stop when we are in Bozeman. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Colleen G — Google review
Very busy on a Friday night; so the service was a bit slow. Took quite some time for someone to come to take my order and for my sushi to come out. Otherwise the food was incredible. The chashu pork was crispy in the ramen; unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Instead of menma the ramen had mushrooms that were so flavorful! The circle of fire roll was incredibly spicy and super delicious! Definitely needed some extra water!

The friendly atmosphere and relaxed setting made for a great stop after some downtown shopping. Delicious sushi and some cucumber salad 🥗 hit the spot for a light dinner.

It was a thunderstorm, no one was choosing to sit outside. I was told by one waitress I could say my food and drink down and have a moment. I few minutes later I was told by another waitress that it was for customers only… excuse me, no customers are choosing to sit there. If it was crowded and I was taking a sit, sure I would leave, but I was not interfering with business… rude. Have some compassion and respect for others.

We had the wontons and a special app which was the Albacore sashimi. Both were excellent!! We ordered 4 sushi rolls and they all were excellent. But what made the difference was the server and manager both do a fantastic job ensuring that you have a good experience.

Open Range is a popular restaurant and bar located in downtown Bozeman, Montana. Housed in a historic building, the warm and inviting interior features exposed brick walls and rustic wooden accents. The menu focuses on locally sourced ingredients that change seasonally to offer fresh produce and meats.
Super cozy, great music, amazing service. We went Saturday night, the last hour they were opened! We absolutely did not feel rushed at all. The staff were very friendly and told us not to worry. They made us feel very comfortable, the food was amazing!!
Maria N — Google review
We dined at Open Range on Christmas Eve and had a great time. I was a little hesitant to make a reservation since past reviews seem to be a hit or miss. But, my husband and I decided to bite the bullet. There aren't many options for Christmas Eve dining in town anyway. Our waitress, who seemed to also be one of the bartenders was very sweet. We sat close to the entrance so we got a little cold when the front doors opened but it wasn't bad overall. The interior was very cute and inviting. We ordered way too much food but I'll break it down dish by dish... • Lemon Drop: Worth every penny. I wish I had more in a glass. • Bone Marrow: Not bad. It could have used a tad more seasoning but the sourdough bread definitely helped elevate the flavor. I wish the bread was toasted but no big deal. • French Onion Soup: Delicious! My husband hates onions but loved the soup here. It was especially tasty on a semi-cold Christmas Eve night. • 16 oz. Ribeye: Cooked perfectly. I love a cast iron seared steak and the beef tallow made it even better. We decided to split a steak - already knowing we'd order way more than two people could eat. • Lobster Mac & Cheese: It was much better than I was expecting. • Heirloom Baby Carrots: There was something about this dish that just didn't do it for me. I'm not sure if it was the spices, or lack of, but still better than others. • Cornbread skillet: A reliable side if it's something you're craving but nothing to write home about. • Cookie skillet: Not very exciting. The cookie was okay but the huckleberry ice cream made it much better. • Dow's 10-year: Treat yourself! This port was the perfect balance of sweet and smooth. My husband also ordered french fries and there was nothing special about 'em. He's not a fan of truffle fries so these were plain. I personally think the truffle fries would have been a better option. All in all, our bill was about $240. Definitely not an every day dining experience for us but we're happy to come back, with a few menu alterations, on special occasions.

This meal was one of the highlights of our Bachelor Party trip to Bozeman. Initially booked for 10 (reduced to 9 with no problem), there was no down payment for the reservation. Our server, Wyatt, was extremely helpful. Explained all of the menu options and answered just about every question we had. The cocktails were great. The steak was unforgettable. As someone who doesn't eat a lot of red meat, I was incredibly impressed. I ordered the Bison Ribeye cooked medium rare with a split femur bone marrow add-on, and some seasonal vegetables. It was perfect. 10/10 would order again. Also pictured is "The Bacon", one of the appetizers we ordered. this was also delicious, but was hard to split amongst 8 people (one was vegetarian). Speaking of that, there were a few vegetarian options. Our friend said it was good, but didn't finish his plate...so take that how you will. Everyone who ordered steak said it was delicious. Finally, since it was a bachelor party, we needed the meals split in a way that would save the bachelor from having to pay. Wyatt was incredibly helpful in separating the bill into 8 different seats, and also splitting the bachelor's meal amongst the 8 of us. No complaints, no confusion, no problem. He also gave us good bar/club recommendations for after dinner. I would absolutely return to this restaurant if I find myself back in Bozeman. It was expensive, but it's a steakhouse...that's to be expected. It's worth it if you want good food.

After an unforgettable morning hiking the Lava Lake Trail during my Yellowstone trip, I made my way into downtown Bozeman looking for a good lunch spot — and stumbled upon Open Range. Funny enough, it wasn’t even my first choice, but I’m so glad I ended up here. What a hidden gem! Right from the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed. The space strikes a great balance between stylish and casual, and the staff truly made the experience shine. Every interaction felt warm and genuine. Special shoutout to Liam, our host — an absolute gentleman with a kind, professional, and welcoming attitude. He set the tone for a perfect lunch. I ordered the milk bun, wedge salad, Montana chop steak, and crème brûlée — and every bite was on point. Everything was made from fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you could tell the kitchen really cares about flavor and presentation. The chop steak was especially impressive — tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. I also happened to catch happy hour and treated myself to a martini, which was flawlessly balanced and not watered down at all. One of my favorite parts? The wall of dog photos near the front. I learned that every pup featured belongs to a current or former staff member — such a thoughtful and adorable way for the owner to honor the team since day one. It really speaks to the sense of care and community you feel throughout the place. Open Range made my short stop in Bozeman feel extra memorable. Whether you’re coming off a trail or just looking for an elevated but unpretentious place to eat, this spot is a must. Great food, great people, and great energy. I’ll definitely be back — and thank you again, Liam. You made it special. 10000% recommended

I came here by myself for a solo birthday dinner & I was SO pleased with Open Range. I had the beef cheeks bourguignon with double mash instead of the brussels. I cannot brag on the staff here enough!! Knowing that I was new to town I was given great recommendations for the area and even groups to join. My waitress was sweet enough to box my things and send me home with a sweet note on the dessert. Good environment, great food!

Party of 6. Here is a no-ax-to-grind honest take. Nice place. Friendly staff. Service good but no revisit from waitress to freshen drinks. Shrimp cocktail 1 star at best. Cheap, white shrimp with zero taste and very soft. Lobster bisque so over salted as to be no stars. Bread good. Rib steaks good, perhaps 2 stars, maybe 3. Menu says dry aged. Do not believe it. Dry aged has a certain taste. Completely lacking. Dessert very good. French press coffee very good. Quite pricey but so is everything else these days. You can do better elsewhere. Oh, and waitress told us they were out of chicken parmigiana. Really? Maybe because it’s one of the less expensive alternatives? Turns out, when I questioned it, they had chicken, just not the red sauce but they were making it. I wanted to edit this review. I see the chef replied. I will take him at his word that the meat is aged. I will take him at his word he didn't have the red sauce ready for the chicken. Why I don't know. Poor planning perhaps? But note he completely failed to address the poor quality of the shrimp cocktail, for a very expensive price, and did not mention anything about my criticism of the lobster bisque that my wife ordered. She asked me to taste it and I agreed with her it was just bad. Tasted like a bottle of salt, with zero pieces of lobster in it. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the shrimp are frozen, they were way overcooked as to be mushy, and the bisque is also doubtful made from scratch. Another important thing to add is the server, who I said was very nice, emailed my son in law to voice her displeasure with an honest review saying it hurts their business. He had nothing to do with the review. I wrote it. And I did not lie in any way, did not look to hurt the restaurant. I gave it 3 of 5 stars. It probably deserved 2. She said she was sorry if it was our perception she wasn't around to refresh drinks. It wasn't a perception. It was fact. We had to ask other servers for drinks. And the restaurant was 3/4 empty. We ate early.

My fiancée and I had an awesome time at Open Range. Our server, Wyatt, was excellent and timely with everything. He was also a great conversationalist. The ribeye and filet were both some of the best steaks we’ve had in years. We will definitely be coming back.

Gallatin Valley Mall, a long-standing indoor shopping complex in Bozeman, is a prime destination for retail therapy. Since 1980, it has been a go-to spot for shopping in southwest Montana, offering over 65 stores with a mix of luxurious name brands and unique finds. The food court boasts diverse culinary options and serves as a testing ground for local vendors.
My family and I recently visited Gallatin Valley Vision at the Gallatin Valley Mall as new patients, and we had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. The doctor took the time to explain everything clearly, and our eye exams were thorough. She helped each of us find the perfect prescriptions, ensuring we got exactly what we needed. Additionally, the staff member who assisted us with ordering our glasses was wonderful—she provided great opinions on frame sizes and styles, helping us choose what looked best. The selection of frames was decent, with plenty of options to fit different preferences. I highly recommend Gallatin Valley Vision to anyone looking for professional, thorough, and caring eye care!"

While malls throughout the US are being razed, the Gallatin Valley Mall is being beautifully renovated. Four stars only because this is a work in progress. Yummy breakfast. Great location. Big portions. We should have shared. Be prepared to wait in line to order but it’s worth it. We got the vegetarian hash and the classic along with some lattes. Not too busy. It was a Thursday. Weekends are slammed. Parking can be a challenge. Outside is dog friendly.

I tried their specials: elk chili, French toast (with some kind of strawberry flavor 😬), and the white chocolate latte. Everything was FANTASTIC! The ambience was great, and the place was very lively. There was a long line of orders, so it understandably took a little while to get the food.

Brunch restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Jam! is a trendy and vibrant diner located in downtown Bozeman, offering a creative twist on classic breakfast dishes. The menu features traditional breakfast options like eggs, bacon, and hash browns, as well as unique creations such as the Benedict flight with various eggs Benedict variations. Specializing in specialty crepes and pancakes like the Elvis or Cinnamon Roll, Jam! provides a diverse selection to satisfy both sweet and savory cravings.
We stopped by for brunch on a Friday around noon and were surprised to find a bit of a wait—about 15 minutes—even though the place is pretty spacious. Definitely a popular spot! I ordered a gigantic mimosa (they have a fun selection of mimosas) and an omelet. My boyfriend got a cold brew and a sandwich, and we also shared the stuffed French toast. Everything tasted really good—except the cold brew, which was kinda meh. It’s definitely on the pricier side compared to some other nearby spots. We spent about $100 total for the two of us, though I’m not sure if that included tip. The menu isn’t huge like a typical diner, which actually made it easier to choose. The vibe is nice, and the staff were all super friendly. Worth checking out if you’re in the area and want a more elevated brunch!

Trendy Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch spot on Main Street Bozeman. Cute interior, food was off the chart delicious and their system is very organized and efficient. They always seem to have a wait, but we hit it at a perfect time (around 8:30am) and were seated right away. Right after we showed up there was a huge crowd waiting outside until we left. Please keep this in mind when choosing this place as you will be ‘expeditiously’ served and although we were not rushed, we felt we couldn’t meander there for very long. I started with a coffee and cream, which is served on a little tray with a pitcher for the cream. I LOVED this because I like a LOT of cream with my coffee. I had 1/2 order of the Mia Benedict which is served with citrus arugula and hash browns. It was so nice to be able to order just half as we were visiting from out of town and didn’t want leftovers. It was also the perfect amount of food for me. My daughter got the Corned Beef Hash which was the best we’ve ever had! Jam! On Main is a MUST STOP when in Bozeman!

This is definitely a popular place located in the heart of Bozeman. Visited this restaurant on a Saturday morning, and Yes was very very busy, wait from 30 to 45 minutes, but I heard you can call ahead and make reservations. I, dining alone, sat at the bar; my server Tyler was attentive, cordial, and professional. My food choices, Crepes, Eggs, and Bacon, were all well prepared, and of good flavor. The Grilled Biscuit was yummy. I will definitely patronize this establishment again.

So, Jam! rocks. For real, it's worth the wait if you wake up on a Sunday and forget to make a reservation and walk over. Everything on the menu looks great, and are reasonably priced for the portions you get. It was hard to decide between pancakes, a Benedict flight, or the very intriguing beet hash, but I settled on the pancake flight, whew boy what choice, each pancake is the size of the plate and covered in toppings, be it peanut butter and chocolate chips, bananas and caramel and granola, to blueberry and whipped ricotta. I'm not gonna eat all day after all that, but they were fluffy and delicious and hard to stop eating.

This place was totally my jam! The reviews match the food and service. I wanted to try everything on the menu, including the breakfast served all day and their special lunch menu. I got the chicken biscuit Benedict. The biscuit was truly homemade, the egg was runny, and the sauce was delicious and not broken. I’m not sure what else you could ask for! There was lots of options for gluten-free. I got the half order and it was very fulfilling and I did not miss anything to go. I got the cinnamon roll and it was definitely homemade, yeasty, and delicious. The service was great from the server, they had no issues with setting me at the table as a single person which sometimes gets on my nerves when they always try to give me a bar seat. The atmosphere was open and inviting, not closed in lots of cool decorations. Everything they baked seem to be homemade I would absolutely recommend and hopefully we’ll get to eat here again before I leave. My only grip was that the catchup was homemade and I personally love Heinz ketchup lol.

When I say 5 stars, I MEAN FIVE STARS!!! Jam was recommended to my dad and I to stop at for breakfast before heading to the airport, and I hope you take the same recommendation! The place is just a short walk from a public parking lot so it was easily accessible for us and only had about a 15-ish minute wait overall if even that. The place was busy and I clearly understand why now! It was a fun and energetic atmosphere with great music to wake you up and get you ready for your day! While the coffee and the food were literally review worthy, meaning I created this account just to leave this comment (THAT'S how good this place is y'all) they are so much more than just a great breakfast place! I ordered a cafe au lait from their espresso bar, which as a barista myself, was outstanding coffee and great milk foam, I almost ordered a second for the road! For actual food, I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and my dad ordered the Red Chili and Corned Beef Hash, and oh my god. No words honestly. I wished I had three stomachs so I could eat more! We were only in town from Kentucky for a short weekend trip, and since my dad also ordered a side of toast to try with their housemate Montana Huckleberry jam, we jumped at the opportunity to buy their jams because we were blown away by how delicious everything was!! By the 4 oz, 8 oz and I want to a say 12 oz jars? But here's where this gets good, and what makes THIS little place a true 5 star restaurant in my opinion. Because we jumped at the chance to buy some of the jam to take back with us, we did not consider that jam falls under the liquids category for TSA when we bought the 8 oz... you can guess that is probably why they do the 4 oz as well (do not make the mistake like us!). Tossing the jar was heartbreaking, so I decided to attempt to remedy the situation. So I said what the hey and sent an email cause why not? In return their manager Sara ended up going above and literally beyond her job duties! (Sara should get a raise in case anyone above her is reading this!) While explaining the sad situation to Sara via email, discovering the major logistics that come with shipping perishable items, and the overall sense of wholesome human interactions, I was able to surprise my dad by getting two jars, one of their Montana Huckleberry and one Strawberry Balsamic jams shipped from MT to KY! He had no idea that I was attempting a task that they in fact do not offer, as well as even trying to replace his tossed jam. It was great! I mean, that IS customer service if I have ever seen it. So if even all of that doesn't convince you that you MUST try this place out then, I hope the added photos just might be the final push! Thank you to the entire Jam staff, from the waiter who helped us day of in the restaurant, to the baristas that made the delicious coffees purchased, and all the way to the kitchen staff that make the jam and to the managers like Sara who keep their customers amazed, even from as far away as Western Kentucky! PLEASE try this place out, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

The Farmer's Daughters Cafe is a trendy, family-run eatery located at the RSVP Hotel in Bozeman. It offers health-conscious breakfast and lunch options, along with delicious smoothies and steaming coffee. The cafe prides itself on serving farm-to-table dishes sourced from the farms and fields of Montana. With a quick and convenient grab-and-go menu, it's perfect for those looking for a speedy yet wholesome meal.
Super fresh, friendly & knowledgeable staff, and adorable atmosphere. We got food to-go to eat in the car (no pictures of food due to traveling), but I am a fan of The Farmer’s Daughter! Easy access to go in and order, staff accommodated dietary asks, we modified a couple orders, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. Ambiance allows you to have multiple seating area options, and the menus and specials are clear to read. Food was absolutely delicious and super fresh! Loved the fresh squeezed juices, refreshing lattes and teas, and to-go grab and go items!

Great food. Great options. My whole family enjoyed all they ordered. French Tip with bone broth, grilled cheese, chicken and rice soup, fresh orange juice, lots of smoothies. Absolutely delicious. Excited to try my maple latte next time. So satisfying to go out to eat and enjoy fresh clean food!

Great place to eat. Love the atmosphere. Pretty hip. They operate similar to Feed Cafe, if you have ever been there. Friendly staff, quick service, homely place to eat. Real comfortable. Bozeman's breakfast/brunch options outperform the dinner affairs, and this place ranks really high up there. Keep it up guys, I will return.

Such an adorable cafe! The minute you walk in everything is so bright and beautifully decorated. You can get lost looking at their art and crafts and displays. I had the pesto croissant with a side salad. Salad was fresh and varied. Croissant was very tasty and full filling. I love their pink tables

Charming little Cafe (and Motel). The decor is like forest fairy farm - light greens and a dedication to light pink. Pretty busy on a Monday noon, our food took about 20 minutes to come out. Bison Bowl - 10/10, LOTS of salad, beans, and bison sausage making a very healthy and delicious protein packed bowl. Seasoned well! This ensemble is exactly how I prefer to eat my meals. Handsome Scramble - 10/10 also a perfect ensemble for a healthy and delicious breakfast with pickled onions, avocado and fresh salsa. Breakfast sandwich - seemed the least value of the dishes we ordered. Extra cost for a few potatoes did not seem worth it. Cute little breakfast spot. Is a little overpriced in this area, but very yummy.

We were so excited to try this place after reading the reviews. We both ordered the avocado toast, and it was probably the worst avocado toast I’ve had. The avocado on it was a tiny little smear and then it was doused with sprouts and it did have an egg on top that was way overcooked. They were so kind to cook another egg. And all honestly, it tasted like sprout toast with a hint of avocado. We ordered with a side of basic fruit and it was $15. Update: was in touch with the management super quick who was very open and understanding to hearing more. I was offered a full refund as well as a giftcard to come back and try again. I would still say to maybe steer clear of the avocado toast, but I’ve heard good things about some of the other breakfast entrees and I’m highly impressed with the responsiveness and willingness for the team to hear me out.

The park boasts mixed-use trails, a playground with climbing boulders, and a 13-acre dog park. LOVE THIS DOG PARK! Friendly people, tons of space! Dog course within the fence that is also fenced in! A pond with a dock that’s also fenced in if you don’t want your fur baby in the water. Right next door is also a park with a huge hill for sledding and a track around a pond. Just love this park

Roost Fried Chicken is a cozy, no-frills eatery located in downtown Bozeman, Montana. The restaurant offers classic Southern comfort food with a focus on various chicken dishes. Whether you're craving rotisserie chicken, deep-fried options, or even chicken salad, Roost Fried Chicken has it all. The aroma of their delicious fare wafts through the air as you approach the counter to place your order.
Diners drive inn and dives hits it out of the park again. I will be back multiple times. The fried deviled eggs bomb. The chicken sandwiches bomb. Biscuits with pecan honey butter yum. Cold local beer on tap. Winter seating inside but looking forward to a nice day outside seating. Absolutely worth going to and try everything.

Food: overall tasted good! Hot and fresh. Not huge portions. Service: Server was friendly. It is a walk up and order establishment. Atmosphere: really loved the patio!! Had enough space and room. Inside is a little tight.

Cute and clean spot but disappointing food the tenders are fresh but not crispy. I traded out the comeback sauce for pepper gravy but it was overly salty 🙁 but worst was the Mac and cheese it was definitely not a southern style nicely baked with creamy cheese and flavor. It was barely cheese and bland fit for a little kid (come on man I want to love this place).I got side biscuit for a $1 for one should be 2 and not even come with butter I did snag honey 🍯 near the iced tea. The paper basket in a bag was the to go container 😞. It does feel like everything is homemade but doesn’t have “soul” or southern flavors.
Cheflisa — Google review
We bought the fried chicken and entrées to go, and it was delicious and very flavorful. The crispy fries, the mac and cheese with a touch of toasted bacon, were delicious, and the salad had just the right dressing. The service is fast and they prepare it instantly. Highly recommended.

Strange place honestly. The good, food was delicious. The bad, it was so dirty there. Really gross, no customers and everyone was just standing around. I honestly wondered if I’d get food poisoning. It took a long to make the food. But the chicken was fabulous. So I honestly don’t know if I’d go back. Maybe?

This was my second time at Roost and it tasted just as good as the first time. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is fresh and tastes great. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for some good chicken.

Food here is great. The AC around lunch time is not so good. Not too bad. Parking is good if you can find shades.
Phuong T — Google review
I’m sorry to give this review because it’s a local restaurant and I have really wanted to like this place: on several occasions over a 6 year span of eating at roost like 2-3 times per year we have had inconsistent service and inconsistent food quality. more than once I have had my order lost in the transition to back of house- after waiting 30+ minutes and inquiring the staff couldn’t find my order. I was once served fried breast bone scraps which were clearly accidentally included in a frying batch after de-boning for chicken sandwiches. I would say the food quality, when good, is excellent. When my order gets messed up they give me a refund, so they’re trying for sure. I just had inconsistent experiences that are certainly caused by mismanagement, order disorganization, and likely poor handling and training practices. I think these are ownership and management issues more than anything else.

Hamburger restaurant
Burger Bob's is a beloved establishment in Bozeman, offering a wide variety of burgers and sandwiches at affordable prices. Located downtown, it's a convenient stop for those exploring the area or doing some shopping. Since its opening in 1994, Burger Bob's has been committed to sourcing quality ingredients from local distributors. The menu includes options for kids such as mac & cheese and mini corn dogs. While the atmosphere is described as semi-classy, the service is praised as top-notch.
My waitress Brittney warmly welcomed me and promptly took my food order. I had a Cowboy Bob with an egg. Awesome! The fries were prepared as well as the burger. I finished off my meal with a 🍓 strawberry shake. Made with Wilcoxson (LIVINGSTON MT) vanilla ice cream, milk and real strawberries... just the kind of meal I was looking for and Brittney just made the whole experience even better with some light converaat.

This is kind of a touristy place downtown Bozeman. My wife and I have eaten here a couple of times. The hamburgers are not the best I've had, but they're not the worst either. The fries are pretty typical frozen fries. Like the burgers, they're not the best nor worst. The beer selection is somewhat limited, but our waitress told me that the other side had a better selection. I asked if she get me a not-IPA dark beer from the other side, and she did :) Like everything in Bozeman, it seems, the food is overpriced. Two burgers, two fries, two beers, and a tip -- $53.
John F — Google review
Okay experience, but wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Service was pretty poor. I'm not sure if it was one girl on staff at the time, but everything took much longer than necessary. Nice atmosphere, food was alright - but nothing to rave about. You're better off grabbing a seat at the bar for any type of service.
Brandi B — Google review
Ok, never base your choice of 1x review, and everyone has a bad day, maybe I caught them on theirs today. The waitress (in her defense was the only one working our side of the restaurant) didn't even get our drink orders correct, water's and soda, nor timely. It took 53 minutes to get out food, I'm pretty sure it sat in the ready window for awhile. The sandwiches and fries were all cold, like not warm, cold. The atmosphere in there is pretty cool and I think it could be a neat place. We are just not going to be repeat customers.

Perfectly cooked salmon. I was shook by how delicious and perfectly cooked the grilled salmon was. When I asked the server what the best meals were she said the Original Bob (burger) and Bob’s Grilled Salmon. We got both and it did not disappoint on either dish! The burger was juicy and seasoned just right to complement the fresh beef, all on a delicious soft bun with crispy fries on the side. I would not have expected to get a salmon dinner when I walked into a burger joint and I could not have been more wrong. The salmon was cooked absolutely perfectly, and seasoned and sauced perfectly to complement the fish and not overpower it in any way. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture until I was halfway through my meal! The atmosphere was fun and the staff were so fun and friendly, and prices were more than reasonable. We will be coming back whenever we visit town!

Food was tasty but the bar doesn’t really seem that interested in the food part. Only one person working there so impossible for them to tend bar and wait tables. Server seemed unhappy she was having to serve food. Milkshakes were good however very small and the promised steel blender with the over flow never arrived. Wouldn’t go back

Food was horrendous. Came out cold, and my cheese was cold. Not not melted, actually out of the fridge cold. The fries seemed like they were yesterday's that had been sitting out all night judging by how stale they were. I did not eat my food after a few bites. The waitress was not attentive. She was super nice but didn't check on us even once. For the price the food was awful. I think people just come here for the bar.

We had drinks and dinner after seeing a movie. The place was busy, but we chose to sit inside since there was no wait. Seating options include traditional height tables, tall tables, booth seating, bar seating and outside patio seating. The area was small but super cute! We got fried pickle spears, which were fantastic! Hand breaded and slightly spicy. The calamari starter was also lightly breaded in house and were a favorite. Easy to tell that all the accompanying sauces were made in house as well and we're delicious. my daughter got the Flank Steak BLT, loved it! She is a picky eater. The Cesar Salad was traditional but fresh and tasty. I loved the baked french onion soup! My husband ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich and really enjoyed it. We all particularly enjoyed the Sweet Potato wedge fries. The menu also includes plenty of higher end dishes which I plan to try. This restaurant would make a great date night spot.

We were hungry and arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, so we ordered quickly from a large menu. My wife had the Roasted Walnut Bleu Cheese salad, and I had the French Onion Soup and the Braised Short Ribs. Everything was delicious. We loved the French Onion Soup, the broth was so rich and flavorful. My ribs were topped with a mashed Butternut Squash and Carrot concoction, which was absolutely devine. Perfectly seasoned. I wanted more! The ribs were wonderful and cooked just right, not overcooked and dry but tender and moist. The portions were generous. Our waitress was new, but her suggestions were helpful and she was attentive. Everyone was charming and engaging. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is beautifully apportioned. It was a very nice dining experience overall.

The Reuben here is one of my favorites in Bozeman. The service has always been great when dining in. This order was a carryout order and I thought they did a great job with keeping everything boxed neatly, keeping hot items with hot items and cold with cold (like dressings, salads, etc.) Keep up the good work and thanks for the good food!

The chef specials get us every time! My husband and I enjoy dining at Feast for date night splurges. The food has been very reliable, for the most part, and we've always had great service. There have only been one or two dishes that we didn't care for but that's more because of personal preference. We always start with an appetizer. Usually oysters or whatever the raw bar special is for the day. Anytime yellowfin tuna is on the menu, that's our go-to. Both of us have ordered off the regular menu and have come to learn that the Chef's special for the night is usually the fan favorite. But, if the special of the night doesn't excite you, our on-the-menu favorites are the Diver Scallops and Feast Burger. We're usually very full and happy by the time the dessert menu rolls around but decided it was time to indulge on our most recent visit. The Vanilla Panna Cotta was so light and delicious. It's not a large serving either so it was perfect for rounding off our meal. Paired with a glass of Chateau De L’echarderie Grand Cru...perfection. In fact, a glass of wine and dessert sound great right about now. I'll be in soon. A slight warning: it can get pretty noisy in here on a busy night so if you're looking for something very intimate, you may want to have a back up plan.

Feast is one of the best restaurants in Bozeman. The seafood is fresh, the steak and sides are all delicious and the atmosphere is great. My only complaint, the water tasted like chlorine.
Grace H — Google review
I enjoy coming to the Feast for many years when in town visiting. Unfortunately, the last 3 times in 7 months has been disappointing. The service has always been good. The appetizers and salad are amazing however the entrees were barely warm. This visit the halibut was much smaller than previous, there was no mango salsa, and the the rice, sauce, carrots, and squash were like warm to cold. There were 4 of us in the group that ordered this dish and all were the same. Unfortunately what was my favorite restaurant in Bozeman has significantly declined in quality. Overall disappointing as we brought new friends there for a dinner experience.

Bridger Bowl Ski Area is a popular non-profit ski resort with 75 runs and 8 lifts. It's a great spot for first-time skiers, offering friendly staff and excellent ski lessons. The area also serves as a beautiful event venue, such as the mid-mountain Deer Park Chalet, which hosted a wonderful wedding in September 2023. In addition to its winter cafeteria-style dining, it transforms into an elegant summer event space.
Always a great time to skiing here, I especially love how you have to be properly prepared with avalanche gear to ride Schlasman’s and ski the ridge. The terrain is excellent and there’s something for everyone, from jaw dropping steeps to an excellent bunny hill. The ski school has been great for my wife who is relatively new to skiing, the hot chocolate here is the icing on the cake ☕️.

Bridger Bowl is great! There’s a lot of diverse terrain. Nice greens and blues, tree skiing, and double blacks for the adventurous. Their staff is super nice too, including the ski school instructors. Food at the lodge is pretty overpriced, but I guess that’s not too surprising. The coffee was terrible, it was so watered down it looked like tea.
Carson C — Google review
Truly the best ski area! I've been skiing Bridger since moving to Bozeman 11 years ago, and it's always a great time. The employees are friendly and seem happy, the skiing is fantastic and the ski patrol works hard to keep the mountain safe and open terrain as quickly as possible. We got engaged on chair 26 (Schlasman's) so it's a special spot!

It’s a ski coop basically so it’s not big sky. Expect delays, it’s where families go to teach their kids to ski. Great runs, lifts are slow so be prepared to wait. More for season pass skiers instead of day skiers. Great service and good food that’s very reasonable

Awesome, great and we loved it. The place is run so well, it feels like they really care. Perfect place for ski school and super kids friendly. We also had an injury and ski patrol was outstanding.

This was our first Montana Ski experience and we will be back! What a treasure Bridger Bowl is. Friends of mine had told me it’s a “hidden gem” and isn’t that the truth! Bridger Bowl makes a Montana ski experience possible for big families. You get incredible mountain skiing experiences for a great price. So many options at the multiple chalets to eat and hang out. Great staff all around, everyone is friendly! Really fun skiing, excellent snow and well groomed runs, and plenty of options for all levels of skiers. We finally got to try this place over the weekend. I had the huck burger and loved the combination of the jam with the meat. Beer was great too!! I had the Bikini hatch. Chloe was our server and she did great. Prices were also reasonable. The view from this place is spectacular too!

The location and scenery were fantastic, the beer was great, the service was good, the food was ok. I really enjoyed the poutin but the salsa was practically inedible. Our server didn't have a ton of personality and seemed content to clean, unless my glass was empty. I tried 3 of their beers, and I liked them all. For the record, the kolsch was the easiest drinking of the 3 (the other 2 were lagers). The booth was very cozy and I loved the view through the windows beyond the patio.

They have Adirondack chairs out on the patio that you can wait in while you wait for a table, beer in hand, so it is kind of a win-win. Put your name down, grab a beer, wait for your table. It's the way every restaurant should be. My wife and I had sandwiches. She had a burger, I had a chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. I upcharged to the poutine fries, but I feel like the portion was small for the price. I'd probably do it again though. Solid brewery, great food, great atmosphere. They kind of nailed this one.

Cool spot with a nice view and location on the pond. Staff was not the best, drinks and food were good! Outdoor patio is NOT dog friendly, so bummer there!

Great food and beer options. Love the 8oz pour option for the beer. Chips were seasoned with the queso and very good. Also loved the outside seating and the views. Highly recommend!

What a great spot to sit back and relax while staring at Bozeman's outdoor beauty with a cold beer and delicious food. We arrived an hour before closing, but didn't feel rushed. Bree was an amazing server and made us feel welcome. We tried the Kolsch, the Apricot Sour and the Sierra Sweetheart Hazy IPA along with a burger, fries and a house salad. The food was really delicious, the fries were out of control good. I was tempted to order another basket. Chill vibe, indoor or outdoor seating and great views. Highly recommend this place for a meal or just a beer with friends.

Great little brewery. Solid mix of styles and well made brews. Food was tasty and service was good. Felt like a neighborhood spot but had some amazing views of the lake and mountains.

This is by far the best brewery in Bozeman. The service was amazing, the beer was outstanding, the food was great, and the view knocked my socks off. They even offered their own brewed in-house NA beer which is cool. Their elote dip was delicious and the huck burger was very unique. I would 11/10 recommend visiting this place!

Italian restaurant
Pizza Campania is a modern pizza restaurant located in the Cannery District, offering a beautiful atmosphere and kind service. They specialize in preparing Neapolitan-style pizzas cooked in a hand-built wood-fired oven. The menu features classic Neapolitan ingredients, with recommended options like the Spaisi Miele and Lombardo pizzas. In addition to their delicious pizzas, they also offer tasty salads and meatballs.
Great spot for a delicious meal and seamless service. I love their Caesar salad, and both pizzas were excellent. Our waitress thoughtfully mentioned that the Vesuvio pizza comes with a very spicy oil and offered to serve it on the side — a great recommendation! I always appreciate when servers know the menu well.

Why do you call yourself with an Italian name if you are not Italian ? Good service from Ellie , friendly staff , we give an A to the fried calamari and a B+ to the Pizzas . Above the pizzas average American standard but way way far from the Italian one and we know because we are Italian.

Came here on recommendation from a bona-fide Italian. Artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks, and pies were good, only issue was that the restaurant was empty and we, a party of seven, waited an hour for our food to come out.

We are from NYC and my hubby is Italian. After a week of American junk food in the park, we wanted to get something different. We knew this was not authentic Italian based on the menu, but the pictures and reviews looked good so decided to give a try. We got the Sergio and Lombardo. Sergio (the one with the bison sausage) was actually pretty good, although we couldn't tell whether it was bison sausage or not. Lombardo on the other hand.. Well first of all the prosciutto shouldn't be cooked but added to the pizza after it's done. Then this prosciutto was way too salty, probably due to the quality. The pizza is not Napoleon style as it's advertised. But overall not bad pizza. Just don't get the ones with prosciutto.

We’ve been here many times and have always enjoyed the food. Great service, delicious food and excellent beer (they serve New Hokkaido Daruma - or at least they had it tonight). Vegetarian options available.

Very good pizza, great pizza menu combinations, indoor/outdoor seating, wine and cocktails. Easy parking, in a great modern location in the renovated “cannery” buildings. Would definitely go back.

This inside /outside place, nice little patio although I agree with previous reviewers it can get hot by the plexiglass wall. Sit towards the inside. This is a gem in Bozeman, I’d even quip it’s close to fine dining Italian modern. Excellent quality ingredients put together thoughtfully and with precision. I had their beet salad, calamari, and a pizza with bison sausage. I wish I weren’t dining alone. You can share the large portions. The calamari plate was imo huge. Perfectly seasoned and fried. I opted for a side of marinara sauce, a small charge of $1.50 but worth it. The salad was also delicious with beets kale and apples. And then my pizza was a finish, all exemplary especially hey remember I’m in Bozeman, MT. I would have loved to try everything here, value for the money and memorable food. I’ve enjoyed pizza and these things the world over and this spot hits the nail on the head. It could more than stand its own in NYC, California, or any other town.

Best gourmet pizza in Bozeman. The mozzarella “sticks” are more like cubes of heaven. There isn’t a bad pizza on the menu. If you think there is then you’re wrong. I could eat here multiple times a day.

What a beautiful place for a walk. We went just before sundown and got the birdseye view. It was great. We watched the moon rise behind us too. Really nice. High above all the city. We even got to watch a deer come up the hill and pass by us on it's way to it's next meal.

Beautiful view of Bozeman, the surrounding mountains and the Gallatin Valley. An easy hike up the hill for a massive payoff. We took the trail to Burke Park and enjoyed the evening at the farmers market which was a heck of a party going on with two live bands, food vendors, local farmers and artisans.

Nestled in the vibrant Cannery District of Bozeman, Seven Sushi is a must-visit destination for sushi enthusiasts and those seeking a unique dining experience. This spacious venue features an industrial-chic design with a long bar that sets the stage for both lively gatherings and intimate dinners. The extensive menu showcases not only authentic Japanese-style sushi but also an array of noodle dishes, meat, and fish entrees to cater to diverse palates.
Nice atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff. The presentation of the dishes is good and the flavor has a good combination of elements. I loved the sweet potatoes in presentation and flavor. my favorite maky the hammer.

Headlines (delivery order): - Yakisoba dish was 3 pounds of dry noodles - sushi roll sent without soy sauce - poorly packaged, sauce spilled and bag nearly broke thru - Manger took no responsibility and was rude Read on for details… I ordered for delivery through a third-party service. The sauce from the Yakisoba noodles had soaked through the bag. It almost collapsed before I could get it to a flat surface where it made a mess. I requested silverware and received no chopsticks or silverware. I ordered a sushi roll and received no soy sauce. The noodle dish itself weighed about 4 pounds and was 90% noodles that were completely dry. I know that some sauce spilled out, but the container was lined with foil and there was no sauce at the bottom. I called the restaurant and spoke to the takeout order department and the worker’s response was “OK.” I asked if he might want to apologize and his response was that he did not pack up the order. I called back and spoke to the manager, Jeb, who was defensive and told me that the takeout order worker was new. When I mentioned that it was the manager’s responsibility to train the employees to take ownership of poor service, he became even more defensive. When I told him my complaints about the packaging and missing items, he told me that they take no responsibility for any order once it leaves the door and that the delivery service would have to deal with the issues (which they promptly did, with profuse apologies). When I said it wasn’t the delivery service’s fault that there was no soy sauce in the order, he told me that since the roll had a mayonnaise sauce on it already, there was no need to include soy sauce and they don’t send soy sauce out with that roll. Either he was lying to cover their mistake or they honestly have no idea how sushi is served. Either way this was a completely disappointing experience.

We were in Montana on a corporate trip from a fortune 500 company and decided to stop at this restaurant with a group of about fifteen. When we arrived, the staff immediately told us they wouldn’t seat us. We offered to split into smaller groups, but they refused, saying that since we came together, we wouldn’t be served at all. That entire group was turned away. My group of three stayed, but the situation was uncomfortable from the start. They made it clear they wouldn’t split checks and treated us like an inconvenience. The refusal felt personal and unnecessary. Though our table of three were able to split the check at the end. We were using corporate cards and tipping well everywhere else. Between all of us, they turned away hundreds of dollars in sales and tips. I spent my full $75 per diem alone, and they could have had fifteen of us doing the same. The food was decent, but the service and attitude ruined the experience. Refusing service to paying customers who are respectful and willing to work with the staff is unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to any business travelers or groups looking for fair treatment. It was the one sour note of our fantastic trip. Avoid this location.

The sushi was not good, tasted very bland. - No common rolls other than California rolls. Very bland and trash - rolls had little to no actual meat. Mostly fillers like cream cheese, 3x rice, and imitation crab. - Hot sake was terrible, doesn't even taste like authentic sake but dirty socks instead. - The Sephora tasted like flat root beer. Absolute worst experience 3 out of 10 would not recommend.

Been going here on and off for years. Good spot. Creative rolls and they definitely kept some OG rolls on there. I think the problem we have coming here is the inconsistency. Their rice here is hit or miss. Fish quality. How it’s cut. Sometimes great. Sometimes. Avoid the poke completely. Sauce was unreasonably sweet, and the ahi was nearly flavorless. Too much sinew in it. I know it’s a sin, but I dumped soy sauce on it. Could not be saved.

Fork & Spoon is a unique dining concept in Montana, being the state's only pay-what-you-can restaurant. Despite its affordability, the restaurant prides itself on serving up delicious scratch-made meals reminiscent of home-cooked comfort food. The menu changes weekly and features dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. Open for dinner from Sunday to Thursday, this establishment offers a stress-free dining experience with quick service and friendly smiles.
The first thing I noticed was it is a pay what you can restaurant. (Kind of like Humble Bundle for any gamers out there)They have suggested prices and then you can also buy extra meals for others. Second, the food was awesome. There was so much flavor. The ingredients are all fresh and local. We had a bowl that had some grains, tomatoes, bison, and a really yummy spicy sauce. We also got a turkey and cheese wrap for the picky eater. She loved it. We actually ate at their food truck at the Big Sky Farmers Market.

This is our pay what you can cafe for our town. They do an amazing service - feeding about 120 people per night. They have suggested prices, and you can pay or not pay or pay extra to help them continue the service. I had always been told that their food was really really good and I finally got to try it. It was one of the tastier meals I’ve had in quite some time and super healthy.

First off, let me state that I am very grateful this place is here. Leaving an abusive relationship, having a lousy family, next to no resources for women who have found the courage to leave a domestic violence situation, and finally, blowing the transmission in my Jeep in Big Timber, left me in the worst predicament I have faced yet. I would have gone hungry more nights without your services. As I struggle to find a job (yes, I know, EVERYONE is hiring) and submitting around 200 plus resumes and applications these last couple of months, means that apparently I must be missing all the employers who are REALLY hiring, and keep finding the businesses who are keeping job listings up, to suggest either a business or the economy is doing better than it actually is- I have had a couple of very good meals there. I have only used your services I think 4 or 5 times, but I felt like tonight's meal ought to be brought to the attention of whomever is in charge there. I'm trying hard not to feel offended by what I was given as a Vegetarian Lasagna meal, but when it's charred black, burnt to a crisp, and basically inedible, I have to say, the people who use your services are struggling, or homeless, or experiencing some type of life difficulties, but they are human beings, regardless. I would not have served that to a dog, much less a human being, when that may be the only meal they have had all day. Whomever looked at that portion, and thought it looked OK (or good enough for the clientele anyway) should have their eyes checked and their brains examined.

Absolutely love this concept - Pay what you can - allowing us to: give something back to the community here and have a choice stress free dinner served quick & with smile. Needless to say, delicious dinner. Fantastic volunteers! Lovely idea! After chatting with some regulars outside they mentioned the Warming Center little further. We went there and after seeing the need for what not, we decided to drive back to hotel and donate what we could from our suitcases. Seeing a gentleman collapse while we arrived the 2nd time to the Warming center and paramedics / firemen in action, we hope this little clothes / cosmetics etc just makes someone life a little better today / tomorrow. We wish you both - Fork & Spoon and the Warming center - a lot for customer that are able to support you. We wish we would live locally to be able to do more / more often for/with you. Thank you very much for your kind heart!

Pakeezah, a genuine Indian restaurant situated at 34 N Bozeman Avenue, has garnered positive surprises from multiple individuals due to its truly authentic Indian cuisine. Offering an extensive array of options, such as 17 diverse vegetarian main courses and 11 varieties of Naan-E-Khaas, making a decision might prove challenging.
Food was very flavorful with large portions! We made a reservation for Sunday evening but didn’t need one, the restaurant wasn’t very busy. The ambiance inside the restaurant was very nice. I ordered the chai White Russian cocktail which was interesting. Our table of four shared three entrees— goat biriyani, butter chicken, and aloo matar— and had enough for leftovers. We ordered everything medium spicy which was perfect. Each meat entree had plenty of meat pieces. Overall it was an expensive meal but we all thought it was worth it!

Staff was very nice, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and is decorated well. The food left me wanting more flavor, it wasn’t bad but it didn’t have the Indian spices I’m used to. The dishes my Indian wife and I got were the tandoori chicken and bullet naan. We were told they were very spicy but this was not the case unfortunately. The mango lassi was okay, more watery than I’m used to but flavor was still good. Rice with cumin was delicious.

*Pakeezah Indian Cuisine Review* I recently dined at Pakeezah Authentic Indian Cuisine in Bozeman, MT, and had a mixed experience. Here's my take: *Food Highlights:* - *Yellow Dal:* This dish was a standout, with rich and authentic flavors that I'd highly recommend. - *Saag Paneer and Baigan Bharta:* These dishes were okay, but didn't quite live up to my expectations. Perhaps they weren't prepared to my taste, but still enjoyable. *Service:* - The service was good, but a bit slow. Our server was friendly, but seemed overwhelmed at times, taking a while to attend to our needs. *Ambiance:* - The restaurant has a rich ambiance with a romantic atmosphere, making it a great spot for a night out. *Prices:* - Unfortunately, the prices were quite expensive, which might be a deterrent for some. While the quality of food was good, the cost was noticeable ¹. *Overall Experience:* - Despite some drawbacks, I'd still recommend Pakeezah for its authentic Indian flavors and pleasant atmosphere. If you're craving Indian food in Bozeman and budget isn't a concern, give it a try. *Rating:* 4/5 stars *Tips:* - Try their yellow dal, it's a winner! - Be prepared for slower service, especially if your server seems busy. - Consider checking for gratuity charges, as some reviewers mentioned they weren't explicitly mentioned on the menu.

I was pleasantly suprised by this resteraunt. Flavors felt varied and authentic. I really appreciated the flavors that this Indian place had. I always reccomend naan, try a curry that you might not have tried before and a classic. The butter chicken taste exactly how you’d expect and hit that craving.

What the hell pakeezah. Door dashed an order for butter chickens because i talk you guys up to everyone, now I cant stand to try your food again, got my order and instantly knew the quality of curry went down durastically. My thick and beautifully colored butter chicken was turned into a bland and watery mess. I thought you guys were better than this.. Guess i still have curry express but even then I am hesitant to ever go again.

I ordered this via Uber for pick-up and was pleasantly surprised. The food is really good. I'm actually kind of bummed I didn't dine in. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Staff were warm and friendly. Only real issue was it took 20 minutes past the estimated pickup time to get my food. Which is not the end of the world. I would definitely eat here again. That said, as others have stated, it is quite expensive.

I would not recommend, would rate a zero if I can. Service was horrible and totally unfriendly and rude staff that refused take any feedback, let alone any accountability. Level 3 was unbearably spicy to eat. The reason i can definitely say it was the restaurants fault was my friend ordered level 4 spicy and it was good to eat. The hostess said regular spice or midlevel would be 3/5. Level 3 was unbearably spicy to eat. The reason i can definitely say it was the restaurants fault was my friend ordered level 4 spicy and it was good to eat. To make matters worse, the manager was rude and obnoxious. Unwilling to take feedback let alone fix their mistakes. Avoid if you can

Blacksmith Italian is a modern restaurant in Bozeman, Montana that offers a taste of Italy with its housemade pasta and other traditional Italian dishes. The chef, Cory Dragone, learned the art of pasta-making in Rochester, New York and the restaurant's name pays tribute to his Italian great grandfather who was a blacksmith. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to create timeless Italian recipes.
A really tremendous, off the main drag, place to have a meal. We stopped in for dinner — which was great! The food was excellent! Very fresh and well prepared. Everything dish was excellently prepared and presented. The Chicken Marsala was the star of our table. Wow! It was so tender and moist, with a very light breading and delicious Marsala sauce. The primavera ravioli also was very good — recommended by our server. It was very good. Very vegetal and herbaceous. The meat and cheese tray was tasty. The bread — could have made a meal on bread! The server was very knowledgeable and professional. The host (Jacob) was gracious and kind — we called ahead and made a reservation and he was quite friendly about it! Overall, a really worthwhile place to visit!

Food was good, atmosphere was more lively than I expected, pricing was to be expected. We spent about $100 on an appetizer, two main courses and two drinks. We had the Octopus Risotto and Wild Boar Gnocchi. Would definitely get the Gnocchi again - it was so good! The octopus was a little salty mixed with the rich risotto and I felt like it needed just a bit more of the grapefruit wedges to compliment the flavors. Both dishes were beautiful!

Hidden on the far side of town in a little strip mall is this cute family style Italian restaurant. It reminded me of some of the upscale places I used to eat at on the east coast. The food is good and prepared well with a nice selection of wine to pair with. We enjoyed the homemade bread. The mussels were fresh and cooked just right with a nice grilled foccasia bread and garlicky broth. My wife enjoyed spaghetti with Pesto, which had a nice balance of earthiness and basil...I thought it could have used a touch more salt and lemon to brighten it up. The squid ink tagliatelle with crab and grilled shrimp was cooked just right down to the fresh al dente pasta. I think the micro greens were out of place on this dish. The desserts were delicious, and the homemade cannoli did not disappoint abs the wife loved the chocolate twist on creme brulee. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and a pleasant waitress.

I grew up Italian in New Jersey and I never could have dreamed of a place like this under Big Sky country. This is the only place I would even think of getting Italian from in the future. The calamari was cooked just so when so many cook it too long. The octopus just the same, being such a delicate dish I have not had such amazing octopus since my trip to Italy itself. It melted in your mouth. The risotto was perfect. The desserts were the crowning jewel of the meal. I was blown away and highly recommend this restaurant. I will be returning.

I was disappointed in the service and the food. I really wanted it to be good, so I’ll definitely give it another chance in hopes that I can give it a better review. We started with bread & butter. The bread, to me, tasted tough and stale. One bite was enough. I had hoped to order the bone marrow as an appetizer, but they were unfortunately out of it for our 5:30pm reservation. No problem. More room for pasta, right? I ordered the oriecchete rustica. The sauce was nice & flavorful, but the pasta itself was very thick and tough. This was not the fresh pasta experience I had hoped for. The ravioli bolognese was definitely the best dish at the table. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the ricotta was fresh, and the bolognese was rich in flavor. We also ordered the “ribeye” special, but it wasn’t a ribeye at all. It was a strip. It was flavorful, but not the tender ribeye we thought we were getting. The mushroom risotto that accompanied it, however, was delicious. The most disappointing part for me was the service. Our waitress looked sick, had red, watery eyes, and was coughing continuously as she served us. I truly hope she feels better soon, but I also wished she would have stayed home to heal instead of share the illness with me, my family, and the rest of the restaurant patrons.

We had a lovely dinner here at the recommendation of Billie from Yellowstone RoughRiders (who we also highly recommend). It was a Saturday night and we didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us at the counter. We split the Cesar, Brussels sprouts, corn and mushroom agnolotti, and the squid ink linguine. Everything was amazing. Service was also impeccable. The only (very minor) critique would be for the butterscotch budino, which didn't seem to have the expected texture. Still, amazing meal and highly recommend checking it out.

Nestled in Bozeman, the Museum of the Rockies is a treasure trove for anyone fascinated by dinosaurs and the rich history of the Rocky Mountain region. Home to an impressive array of dinosaur fossils, including a real Tyrannosaurus skull and even a thigh bone with fossilized remnants, this museum boasts one of the largest collections of dinosaur bones in America. As part of Montana State University, it also serves as a hub for paleontological research led by renowned scientist Dr.
After years of wanting to see this, we finally did. The museum is great for families to visit with various interactive exhibits for kids. I would say 90% of the museum pertains to dinosaur and other fossils but also has information and artifacts from the area in general. There is a homesteaders house you get to go through as part of the admission.

If you like BIG dinosaur skeletons, this is your place. There is also a very comfortable small planetarium that is a perfect place to relax after touring the museum with a variety of good shows and a very nominal price. Please DON’T forget the period house that is located outside! It is a real walk back in time! There is a very nice sized gift shop and a small cafe there as well.

A Dinosaur Lover's Dream: The Museum of the Rockies The Museum of the Rockies is a perfect activity for anyone visiting Bozeman, especially if you’re short on time. This beautiful museum is a must-see for dinosaur lovers, featuring a vast collection of impressive, well-maintained dinosaur skeletons and engaging exhibits. Beyond the incredible dinosaur displays, the museum also offers a variety of other attractions. You can relax and enjoy a show at the comfortable, small planetarium for a nominal price. Don't forget to visit the period house located outside—it's a real walk back in time! The museum also features a nice-sized gift shop and a small cafe. With its amazing, rotating exhibits (like the past Marvel Comics display), there is always something new to see. It’s a highly recommended and educational experience for all ages, offering a great way to learn and explore through real skeletons, sculptures, photos, and movies.

Museum of the Rockies is such a cool place to explore! If you’re into dinosaur bones, this is the place to be. Their exhibits are some of the most impressive and well-maintained I’ve ever seen. I also love that they feature rotating exhibits — about a year ago, I caught the Marvel Comics one, and it was amazing! Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for things to do in Bozeman.

Absolutely loved our visit to the Museum of the Rockies! The exhibits are fascinating and beautifully curated — especially the incredible dinosaur collection. There’s so much to see and learn for both kids and adults, and everything is presented in a way that keeps you engaged from start to finish. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the museum itself is clean, well-organized, and easy to explore. Definitely a must-visit stop in Montana

Great museum of natural history as well as a kids area for Yellowstone. Wonderful addition having the Jane Goodall exhibit and a poignant time visiting with her recent passing but the area is so well done. Great visit for natural history!
Ross M — Google review
We visited Museum of the Rockies this time during a remodel, so we have less photos to share. We also need to crop ourselves out of the dinosaur pictures, so parts will be missing. That said - Museum of the Rockies is a MUST if you are heading to or from any nearby National Parks or other historic sites. The museum has several rooms to visit and learn about different dinosaurs, times periods, etc. There’s a room with a bench and a movie screen where kids can press play and learn. The t-rex has an upstairs viewing area. The top floor has a children’s museum with interactive displays, bathrooms, and low key learning stations. There’s a planetarium with daily shows on the main floor just inside the doors. They usually offer two different kinds of shows per day. Don’t be late. The doors are locked to provide everyone inside a fantastic show. The gift shop will require its own chunk of time so you can peruse. They have the expected t-shirts and sweatshirts, but also have a great selection of stones to choose from - as well as magnets, toys, mugs, books, etc. If you can afford to become a member of the museum, they offer after hours events and fundraisers. The last time we were there, the museum was hosting an after hours event for members. Becoming a member is well worth the investment. The museum is a great place to take young children. The Museum of the Rockies was the beginning of a lifelong love of dinosaurs and paleontology for one family member who first visited it as a toddler. The museum has an elevator to make it easy to get to the kid’s floor with little ones in tow. The parking lot is big - and the views of the mountains are breathtaking. There’s a walking path outside and a safe area you can walk your dogs.

There is much to explore at this museum. During our first visit, we focused on Sue, the enormous T-Rex fossil. On this visit, Jane Goodall's chimpanzee studies in Gombe were the focus. I had intended to walk the grounds of the historic farm buildings during peak autumn beauty, but was disappointed to discover that this area closes at the end of summer.

Loved every bit of the museum. Didn't expect to see so many cool stuff in there, including artifacts/technology (!) from 80 BC!!! How cool is that! A must visit place in Bozeman, Montana

Wonderful small museum filled with neat technological artifacts. Many interesting displays have signatures from the inventors. Brought back a lot of memories from 3 decades ago when all things computers exploded into our culture. Will only take an hour to digest, but you won't forget!

The American Computer & Robotics Museum in Bozeman, Montana is a surprisingly vast tribute to the Information Age. It features an eclectic, multi-century collection, spanning from ancient cuneiform to the latest in AI. Notable exhibits include an original Apple I computer signed by Steve Wozniak and artifacts from the Apollo missions. While the space is compact, it is thoughtfully curated, offering a rewarding experience for both tech enthusiasts and casual visitors. The knowledgeable staff often enhance the visit with insightful introductions and tours. Overall, it's a unique and highly-rated destination that packs significant history into a small footprint.

How does this not have 5 stars! What a gem. Either original artifacts, many signed by the inventor, or fantastic fascimilies. The entire arc explained well. Good texts and great curation in an intimate setting. Great staff, gift shop. Better than the Smithsonian; no I'm not joking.

Not crowded, and only costs $10 for an adult ticket. It's a good size for this kind of museum, not so large that you lose interest, and probably a perfect size for children. I really enjoyed the first display of old computing technology, including a printing press. The parking situation is a bit difficult, I was directed to park in a public lot and walk to the museum, so I parked in the university lot a few blocks away.

What a great art center to visit awesome paintings, sculptures, photos, a Must See place when visiting Bozeman, Montana. One of my favorite artists there is Rod Zullo, his sculptures and relief pictures are Awesome. Not to mention his out of this world chocolate bars displaying his sculpture mastery..

I'm currently taking a pottery class here. At my old town, classes were constantly filling up and never available, so it's awesome to finally have an open class. I like how it's in an old school, it makes the vibes really fun.

This building whispers stories from the young and old. I have wanted to check out Emerson arts center for two years. Last week I attended a venue at The Verge. Comedian, Aaron Foster, was a joy for me and my family! The art along the halls of Emerson is captivating. I had no idea there was a pizza venue inside! I will return there to take a class, and perhaps get more involved with the co-op opportunities available.

Heyday is a must-visit store for those looking for home accessories or the perfect gift. Even from across the country, visitors have found it to be their go-to gift store after experiencing its charm in person and making purchases. The online shopping experience is just as delightful, with fast shipping and a wide range of fun items available. Customers appreciate the variety of great gifts and commend the excellent customer service provided by enthusiastic staff members like Annie.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about the women working here, they are truly exceptional. Every time I travel to Bozeman for work, I make it a point to stop by because of the incredibly friendly and welcoming customer service. I recently visited again and was able to find the most adorable gifts, all thanks to their thoughtful selection and attentive service. On this trip, I had my 9-year-old golden retriever with me, and I was so touched by how kind and accommodating the staff were toward her as well. That level of warmth and care makes me a loyal customer, and I’ll certainly keep coming back whenever I’m in town. This store is a gem, it has everything you could possibly need, and the atmosphere is always so inviting. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a shopping experience that feels personal and genuine!

Shopping with HeyDay has been one of my best Online experiences. Their gift selection, whether it be for yourself or someone else is unique and diverse. I'm also impressed how frequently their wonderful buyers update the inventory to keep you curious about New and exciting on their shelves! I also Love their customer service, which seems to be disappearing among many companies... I mean the customer service from online interaction to phone contact, where they actually return your calls if required. I'm a loyal customer from California, and appreciate their shipping service .. merchandise securely box and finished off with a lovely Thank you card!!!🤗 I'm hooked on Heyday ❣️Check them out🙌🏼

I love this store. As a Bozeman local, I do not do a lot of "cutesy" local shopping. Heyday, however, is my "go-to" for baby gifts, birthday gifts, and holiday items. I also personally adore and own items from their Hike Like a Girl and Ski Like a Girl clothing line. Yes, their clothing is on the higher price side, but their clothes are so soft and hold up well. If you are looking for local, specialty, and Montana made items, Heyday is your place.
Kim B — Google review
Heyday is such a charming boutique right in the heart of downtown Bozeman! The whole store has a beautifully curated vibe — full of unique gifts, souvenirs, and little treasures you won’t find anywhere else. It’s the kind of place where you walk in “just to browse” and somehow leave with a bag full of goodies. The absolute highlight for me? The quill earrings. They’re stunning and feel so special — easily my favorite find of the trip. Not that I traveled all the way from Chicago just for them… but let’s just say Heyday was definitely on my short list of must-visits while in Bozeman. If you’re looking for a place that’s equal parts stylish, fun, and one-of-a-kind, Heyday is it. A perfect stop whether you’re local or just passing through.

I love everything about this store! Customer service is always excellent! Ordering online is easy and the service is wonderful. I live in Arizona now and still love shopping online, knowing that my gifts will be shipped with care and delivered in a timely fashion! I think you all are wonderful! Trust me, you won’t be sorry shopping at this wonderful store and you’re supporting a small business.
Susan D — Google review
Wonderful online experience. I first found them when shopping for my 6 year old granddaughter who loves to ski. They had the perfect long sleeves shirts that were different and stood out from the norm. Now I always check Heyday first when shopping for anyone (my sister will love the kitty socks she is getting for her birthday)!
Lu W — Google review
Fantastic online shopping experience all around! My only quibble - but not enough to merit anything less than 5/5 stars - was the online order-fulfillment speed, but this was communicated ahead of time. Not a big deal when planning ahead but beware that it really could take the actual 2-7 days to fulfill, plus USPS shipping. The quality of their goods is exception, as is their packaging and customer service. 10/10. Excited to visit the shop itself next time in Bozeman.
Andy C — Google review
Found this store through a random ad and I’m so glad I did! I’m not a big fan of box stores and am always looking for unique gifts. They have a really cute selection of products and I will definitely be a repeat customer. I was incredibly impressed with the packaging of my items, it was obvious someone had taken a lot of time and effort and CARED about making sure everything was secure during transit. Would highly recommend.

Plonk Bozeman is a sophisticated and elegant wine bar located in downtown Bozeman, Montana. It offers a wide selection of quality wines by the glass, along with cocktails and globally inspired dishes. The venue features exposed brick walls and comfortable seating, creating a clean and inviting atmosphere for patrons to enjoy. Guests can indulge in a cheese plate or opt for a full multi-course meal while listening to live jazz music.
My husband and I had an amazing time here. The bar tender Anh was so skillful with his serving style. He was very personable, sharing all the local spots to check out. The General Manager Jimmy was so helpful and informative as well. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and great service. Thank you guys.

We love to come to Plonk for a cocktail before dinner! The drinks are amazing and it is a fun environment. The food menu is a bit on the smaller side, making it more limited for dinner options. The best cocktail is the g.f.c - a refreshing basil lemon-lime cocktail that is perfect for summer. We normally get the ploughman's platter (meat & cheese board)

Trendy yet relaxed wine bar with surprisingly creative food. I had seared scallops with a corn purée — delicate but flavorful. The cocktail list is strong too, with bartenders who actually know their craft. Feels like a touch of city style in mountain country.

As a board member of Hope & The Holidays, I want to extend our sincere thanks to Plonk Wine for their generous donation to our recent silent auction. Their support helped us raise vital funds that will go toward supporting families in need this holiday season. Plonk is more than a wine bar—it’s an experience. With its stunning venue, eclectic music, and a menu that celebrates the union of food, wine, and art, Plonk offers a sensory escape right in the heart of downtown Bozeman. Whether you're enjoying a cocktail after work or indulging in a multi-course meal in their private cellar, the atmosphere is always warm, elegant, and inviting. We’re incredibly grateful for their partnership, and we encourage everyone to support local businesses like Plonk that bring beauty, generosity, and connection to our community.

Absolutely impressed with the cocktails here! They were shockingly good. And I never turn down an opportunity for a drink on a patio. We put a lot of time and thought into where we’ll eat and drink on vacation because we want to make the best of it. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Plonk is worth a stop!
Jamie K — Google review
The food was delicious and the drinks were great. However, it was quite noisy, and unfortunately, I experienced an unpleasant situation—perhaps it was a cultural difference, but it was the first time it happened to me. I was brought the bill to the table without asking for it. It was only 9 PM, and the place was still full of people, so I interpreted it as a polite way of saying “it’s time to leave.” I don’t think this is the right way to treat a customer who is spending money at your establishment.
Monika K — Google review
This is THE upscale place for a very cool upscale wine bar experience. The wine list and wine cellar are spectacular! The bar is elegant Cowboy ambiance with nice beer options. Food all looked great but we only had the Ploughman meat and cheese board. It was a few bites of 3 cheese options and 3 meat tasty morsels. A but small for two, but honestly just the right size for a pre dinner or late night snack. Outside patio was very nice. Jadyn, our server, was attentive and friendly! Definitely wi be back ! VictorB

J.W. Heist Steakhouse in Bozeman is a relatively new establishment that has quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional wood-fired cuisine, featuring prime beef and fresh seafood. The cocktail list offers classic options, while the award-winning wine selection complements the elegant ambiance of the restaurant. Guests can expect attentive service from knowledgeable staff, making it an ideal spot for special occasions or casual dining experiences.
Sitting at the grill made the experience. It was awesome to see them cook the steaks over the open flames, giving them great flavor. The beef tartare and oysters were a great start to the dinner. We got the steak special - 22oz dry-aged strip from a local Montana farm. Everything we got was amazing!! The staff here is attentive, giving you first-class service.

We came here to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The 18oz prime ribeye was cooked exactly how we like it, rare with a flawless Pittsburgh crust. The beef tartare was silky smooth and incredibly flavorful. I normally hate beets, but the wood-roasted beet dish completely won me over, easily one of the surprise standouts of the night. And don’t even get me started on the desserts and drinks, absolutely phenomenal! Every course just kept raising the bar. Our server, Jameson, made the experience even better. He was super knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and had us laughing all evening. He made us feel like family, which really added to the celebration. Absolutely worth it, can’t wait to come back!

Came by JW Heist for my brother's mini-bachelor meal. For a group of 8, we ordered a lot of food: beef tartare (2) at $22 ea french onion (2) at $12 ea wedge salad $16 heist salad $14 MT Tomahawk (4) $190 ea -3 medium rare, 1 rare fried brussels $12 grilled broccolini $8 baked potato $12 corn pudding $15 whipped potato $8 all sauces $30 grasshopper (2) $14/ea butterscotch budino $14 ea pray tell $90 a bottle (2) coors light $6 baked alaska flambe $14 Auto gratuity for $241. Also, surcharge cc fee for 3% ($43.38). Waived for cash/debit. Would have been nice to know. Didn't see any signage. Helena was friendly and accommodating as our server. Tomahawk...we liked the rare one more than the medium rares. I do think the consistency of the steaks could use some work, since some medium rares were more cooked than others. Seemed like street parking only. We uber-ed there. Overlal, nice spot to grab a decent steak!

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner for our one-year anniversary. The resturaunt accommodated my seating request on the reservation, and the service was fantastic. We had two soups, two cocktails, two entrees, and shared a dessert. It was affordable and very impressive. I suggest ordering one of the composed plates for your entree, as those come with sides and a beautifully plated main. We will be returning.

Likes: Accommodating- We concluded our earlier business early and arrived well before our reservation time and they were able to seat us quickly. Atmosphere- If you are looking for an upscale, beautifully appointed place with perfect mood lighting and wonderful big band music, this is your place. Food is reasonably priced for a restaurant of this caliber - The price for a 10oz filet is the same for what I would pay for an 8oz filet in south Florida at a comparable restaurant. The excellent Cabernet was priced at least $4-$5 less than back home as well. Despite the policy mentioned below, our waiter WAS able to pace out the various courses in a timely manner. Food has generous portions and overall was good. My rare filet was slightly overcooked, which may be due to all of the order going in at once and the main entree having to sit under a heat source while we finish our appetizers(?) Caesar salad, which we split, had white anchovies and was delicious! They have Béarnaise sauce- it’s getting harder to find these days. I love it! Dislikes: Dress Code is not enforced- It is so disappointing when you take the time and effort to adhere to the dress code posted on the website only to walk in and see patrons wearing a wide brimmed yard work hat, a tank top and shorts. Several patrons in tees and shorts. Tables for 2 are spaced too close together - If you are larger than skinny and are seated along the banquet, you will feel uncomfortable squeezing out to leave or use the restroom. You are right on top of the table next to you and it tends to make you feel like you are in a can of sardines and that they are packing as many patrons in as possible. Which I get, but it doesn’t lend itself to feeling comfortable or valued as a customer. Process feels rushed - Their policy is to take the entire order at once (apps and entrees). I get this for large parties, however as a ‘general policy’ this makes the patron feel like the restaurant wants to move you in and out, expeditiously. At a restaurant of this caliber, I want to feel like I can take my time and enjoy myself. ‘Manager’ doesn’t introduce himself when asking about your meal - this is a huge pet peeve of mine. If you are not wearing a Name Tag, introduce yourself and your position. Finally their biggest ‘fail’- Despite their reservation platform ‘Resy’ asking if there was a ‘Special Occasion’, which I responded that it was my daughter’s birthday, no one acknowledged the occasion. I thought…’well maybe this is one of those places that doesn’t do anything for special for occasions’, however 2 seconds later the same desert we had ordered was walked past with a candle on top. Not sure where the breakdown in communication happened, and I surely did not want to bring it up to management in front of my daughter, but I did write a brief note on the back of the check with an arrow leading to my much diminished tip. Hopefully management will read this and take appropriate action so this doesn’t have to diminish someone else’s experience.

We walked in. Service was friendly but not really present. Drinks were good. Beet Salad was the highlight. We got the tomahawk, shrimp cocktail, heist salad, and asparagus. Everything was underwhelming. The steak took about 55 minutes from ordering. Totally understand that tomahawks are longer cook but it wasn’t that busy and the steak came medium. Didn’t have the heart to send it back and wait another hour so made due and fed it to the kids for a breakfast steak and eggs. For the price point it’s nothing special.
David K — Google review
My first experience in September with Lindsey as our server was awesome so I was excited to go back. I had Jameson as a server this time and he needs a lot more training. I ordered a filet medium with house steak sauce and Brussel sprouts and a cocktail (of which I wanted a second one but Jameson disappeared). Easy enough. It took nearly an hour for my food to come out (I went after 8 so it wasn’t busy) and the steak was well done and the Brussels were horrible with the stems still attached. I waited 15 minutes for a server to check in or walk by to ask for a correct steak and no one ever came. I was so hungry by then I began trying to eat it, though it was so dry it was nearly impossible even with sauce. Jameson showed back up about a half hour after I had gotten my food to offer to box what was left. I took the steak home for my dog. It was such a horrible $100 experience I definitely won’t be returning again.

Wild Joe's Coffee Spot is a charming coffee shop located in a century-old building on historic Main Street in Bozeman. The cozy interior features rustic maple floors, a pressed tin ceiling, and walls adorned with art pieces. This popular spot offers a variety of specialty coffees and locavore fare, including breakfast burritos, paninis, soups, and baked goods. With ample seating and occasional live music performances, it's an ideal place for meetings or solo study sessions.
I was staying in the hostel down the street and walked over! It was drizzling, but not bad :) The outside of the shop is super cute, as well as the inside! There were a couple regulars but no one in line so I was taken care of as soon as I walked in. I didn’t think to get their names, however they were so nice and patient. They really considered ways to help me have the best coffee and they were both a big help! I got the Montana Honey Bee (with more sweetener) and it was sooo good! I got mine warm ☕️ My experience was very pleasant. If you’re in Bozeman and like cool people and coffee, just try it out :) There was also a sign for take and bake meals through the back! Overall : 12/10

Just an adorable space. Went here at 7:30 on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy for that early but there's so much seating. It is located in the heart of downtown which is perfect. I got a Mexican mocha which was just perfect and wish I was hungry when I walked in the bakery case was full of goodies and the sandwiches looked great too!

I normally order a dark roast drip coffee and my wife orders the Chai (sweet) tea. There is a reliable consistency to the taste of their coffee and tea. I order a coffee cake muffin and it also tastes great, although they could increase the size of the muffin a bit. The atmosphere is excellent and we enjoy looking at the featured artist’s work on the walls. They have a balanced amount of smaller and larger tables. Overall, it is our favorite coffee shop in the downtown area!

I love this coffee shop. Love the hanging art, the service and the coffee. I ordered the Mexican Mocha and it is one of the best I've had. I also had the veggie burrito which was decent. Highly recommend!

Alright, Wild Joe’s Coffee Spot in Bozeman is already my caffeine overlord, but you’re asking about a “Power Coffee” to match that high D and I energy? I’m assuming you want a drink that’s as bold and charismatic as you are, so let’s talk about their espresso-based drinks or a custom order that screams power—perfect for your dominant, influential vibe. If you meant a specific “Power Coffee” drink or another context, let me know

Excellent pastries (lemon poppy seed scone) and espresso based drinks. Flat white was very good.

Brewery
Bridger Brewing is a laid-back local brewpub in Bozeman, offering a wide variety of craft brews and an array of pizza options. The brewery's tap list is one of the largest in Bozeman, featuring over two dozen options including seasonal selections. Their flagship location on the south side across from Montana State University provides award-winning hand-made pizzas, salads, appetizers, and desserts. Ingredients are locally sourced when possible and their dough is made fresh daily from Wheat Montana flour.
Food: Pizza was great!! I didn’t like the pineapple because it was spicy and didn’t realize it had jalapeños on it. But really loved the Greek style pizza. Atmosphere: The patio is really sweet with flowers and decent privacy. The inside is large and lots of seating. Service: Our server was very attentive and friendly!

Chopped salad was decent. Gluten free margarita pizza, meh. Didn't get to try the beer as Montana has an idiotic law that breweries can't serve beer past 8pm....Revenue killer!!

Bridget Brewing is an absolute gem! The facilities are beautiful and welcoming, with a fantastic selection of beers for every taste. But the real standout of my visit was the food — especially the vegan pizza. Our server, Jeanette, was outstanding. She offered thoughtful suggestions and guided me toward what turned out to be the most delicious vegan pizza I’ve had in a long time. Her warm, attentive service truly elevated the entire experience. Highly recommend both for the brews and the bites!

Stayed here via Harvest Host on our trip from Alaska to Texas. Has a nice big lot for car parking (for brewery customers) and extra space for Harvest Host parking in a separate area. Inside the brewery/restaurant is very wide and nice with a cute merch section. The food and beer is great and the service was amazing! They have a cute outdoor patio area and a designated dog grassy area that is perfect if you bring your dogs! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you for your great service and hospitality!

Favorite brewery in Bozeman. Wide range of quality beers. Two-story mountain views. Energetic campus vibes. And the pizza is the star. Can't go wrong, but we were fans of the Bianca (extra cheesy with lemon ricotta) and the seasonal options. Great for groups of any size and age.

Nicole was our server and she was very nice and knowledgeable about every beer on the menu. Highly recommend! Great place for kids to run around too

Showed up a solid two minutes before opening — big mistake. They stared at me through the glass like I was trying to rob the place. Doors didn’t open until five minutes after posted time. Maybe they were waiting for the mountain air to reach perfect freshness. Once I got in, the server proudly recommended a beer they didn’t even have on tap. When I pointed it out, she hit me with, ‘Well, our hops were fresh when we made the beer.’ Touché, Bozeman… touché. Food? Average. Beer? Average. Experience? A masterclass in mediocrity — but somehow still charming enough for three stars.

We arrived in Three Forks Montana hungry and thirsty. The wife noticed a billboard for Bridger Brewing across the street from our motel. Well, we do enjoy a local craft beer so we gave it a try. What a great idea! The hostess as well as our server were super friendly and let us browse the gift shop area before seating us. We sat on the patio with a view of mountains. The food and beer were excellent!!

Restaurant
Cateye Cafe is a feline-themed eatery in Bozeman, Montana that offers classic cafe breakfasts and lunches made with locally sourced ingredients. The cafe's colorful decor includes off-beat artworks, cat paraphernalia, and a playful list of restaurant rules. Specializing in comfort foods and winter warmers, their breakfast burrito is a popular choice, filled with bacon, seasoned beef, cheese, scrambled eggs, pinto beans, and chili verde.
Really enjoyed our visit for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We ordered a breakfast special which was a huckleberry strawberry cream cheese stuffed croissant French toast , and it was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the biscuits and gravy which was so tasty too! The atmosphere is lovely and the staff was efficient and friendly. Great spot.

When in town for a wedding, a friend recommended a breakfast joint down the way that ended up being closed and thank goodness they were!!! because then we stumbled up on Cateye Cafe a couple blocks down main street. We added our name to their call out sheet and only waited about 15 minutes? The staff was busting butt running around crazy, but you wouldn’t know they were busy because their service was very efficient and they were all light hearted and happy to be helping. The food was DELICIOUS and had a homemade quality to it- 10/10!! My favorite part and what will keep us coming back whenever in town, was the atmosphere- you look around and not a single person was on their phone because at each table is playing cards, trivia games, little trinkets and more. Cateye truly provides a space to connect with each other, laugh and enjoy the moment. Cateye’s got something good going, don’t miss out!

My goodness the food here is so good. I had the turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy and it tasted like a home cooked meal. My wife tried the daily special, a turkey pesto sandwich with a pasta salad side. Everything seemed to be made in house and it was all so good!

Our favorite breakfast place in Bozeman! Giant mimosas and a lot to choose from. Also lots of choices for breakfast but our go to are the Catastrophe and The Witch. But I'll bet anything is great.  They also serve lunch. Get there early on the weekend to avoid a wait. Don't forget your cateye glasses!

The Ellen Theatre, located in downtown Bozeman, Montana, is a beautifully restored vintage venue designed by architect Fred Willson. It was originally built in the early 1900s and has since become a timeless gem for live performances and entertainment. The theater hosts a variety of shows including live theatre, silent movies, operas, and band performances. Named after Ellen Trent by her founding family, the theater offers an enchanting experience for couples looking for a cultural and entertaining date night.
We drove from Helena and brought our four kids (age 4-11) to a showing of the movie "Hundreds of Beavers." We enjoyed popcorn and drinks (for my husband and I). Comfy seats and great views! We will absolutely make another trek for a good 🎥 movie at The Ellen!

Great small theatre! Productions were great! Drinks were relatively cheap! Seating is a bit antiquated and felt like it would fall apart but great for the intimate theatre experience!

The Ellen Theatre is a true gem! It makes me so happy to have something like this right here in downtown Bozeman. I recently had the privilege of seeing Cabaret a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely incredible. The mix of local talent with performers flown in made for an unforgettable production. The theatre itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and full of charm. I’m hopeful they continue to bring more shows to this wonderful stage!

As a board member of Hope & The Holidays, I want to extend our deepest thanks to The Ellen Theatre for their generous donation to our recent silent auction. Their support helped us raise vital funds that will go toward supporting families in need this holiday season. Located in the heart of downtown Bozeman, The Ellen Theatre is truly the crown jewel of our arts community. Entertaining audiences since 1919, it continues to host an incredible variety of events—from concerts and plays to weddings and youth classes through the TATE Academy. Their commitment to enriching lives through the performing arts is matched by their generosity and dedication to uplifting others. We’re incredibly grateful for their partnership, and we encourage everyone to support local institutions like The Ellen Theatre that bring creativity, connection, and joy to our community.

I love seeing plays at the Ellen. My first one I saw was Annie in 2017. Tonight I saw the play You Can't Take It With You and recently saw The Fiddler On the Roof a few months ago. The architecture is absolutely beautiful and it has been around for a very long time.

I had a STELLAR time listening to the Glenn Miller orchestra a few weeks ago at my favorite venue in Bozeman, the Ellen Theatre, our gorgeous and beautifully renovated downtown venue. I got to do a little dancing and listen to great music, musicians and singers. This legacy band has been around since 1939, 80 years... quite a tribute for a band that only had Glenn Miller in person for 5 years. He died in a tragic airplane crash in 1944. Heartfelt thanks to John Luden and his fabulous Ellen team for bringing in such stellar and affordable entertainment!

The Ellen is a beautiful venue in Bozeman. Sitting in the theater takes you back to the 1920s. The seats are comfortable, lighting good and acoustics are fantastic! We attended an excellent performance by J2B2 (a bluegrass band) and can't wait to attend performances in the future.

Located in downtown Bozeman, the Rialto is a versatile venue that offers three distinct spaces with unique features and stylish atmospheres. After being closed for over a decade, it reopened in January 2018 as a cultural and artistic hub. The renovated Rialto seamlessly blends historical elements with modern design, featuring a beautiful theater and private event space. It has become a popular choice for weddings, rehearsal dinners, and other celebrations due to its captivating ambiance.
Attended the short film screening tonight, saw a flyer around town and decided to check it out. Very cool venue and this event was free. Would have been nice to have some complimentary water or paid beverage options (I entered through the main Street entrance) and didn't see a bar or any food/drink options. The venue was clean. Sound system was great. Atmosphere was excellent.

Nestled in a cozy, lodge-like setting, Schnee's is your go-to destination for high-quality leather boots and outdoor apparel. This charming shop not only offers an impressive selection of footwear but also prides itself on exceptional customer service. Many customers have shared their positive experiences, highlighting the knowledgeable staff who are eager to assist with everything from sizing inquiries to product recommendations.
Cody at Schnee has been the absolute best to work with. Ordered a pair of replacement boots for my fiancé, as his grooms gift on our wedding bc day… and long story short they won’t make it before the wedding. Cody offered various solutions, but I really want to replace the boots he’s worn for ten years with the exact same pair… he LOVES them and they have seen a lot of country… Held up more than promised, but finally time to replace. Anyway, I want him to have something to open on our wedding day and so Cody is having an empty box sent so he has something to open! Truly grateful — this may seem so trivial and silly, but if you’ve ever heard the song my Dave Brinker, Altitude… you’d understand that these boots mean a lot to our story. And Cody didn’t even think twice about going way above and beyond. Thanks for saving the day Cody! Means a ton. *it should be noted I wear Schnees now too… my fiancé won’t wear anything else and that was enough for me to make the investment!

I’m from Alberta Canada and have had a pair of Schnee Hunter II 16” boots for about 15 years. I brought my boots down to have the bottoms replaced because I love the boots. So we got to the store thinking that it would take a couple of weeks to get them done. Well it turns out that the President of the company was the one that helped me, what a great guy, he told me that he would have them done by the next morning. Just like he said they were done early the next day. The boots look like they are new, remember that they are 15 years old. What exceptional service going above and beyond. Love this store!! Thank you again!!

This place has changed a lot. It used to have a discount area downstairs which they no longer have (it's been quite some time since it's been gone but it was great) and they don't have much to choose from anymore. They used to have a lot of shoes, clothes, camping items, but now it's primarily all hunting and high end brands (like really high end). Mystery Ranch (which I love) takes up one entire wall and area in the second half of the store. Not a lot of selection overall, which is disappointing, based on what it used to have.

Oliver and I found refuge here when a group of goblins were on the hunt for us. I picked some wild flowers, put them behind my ear, and then went on the labyrinth and it taught me how it may seem like we’re going in circles, but ultimately it’ll lead us exactly where we need to be. Beautiful!

We are so fortunate to have this beautiful park in Bozeman. I regret that I have not used it enough over my 30+ years in this town. Today I discovered the carved totem of all the animals in our area and was stunned by this amazing work of art. And the new playground is a tremendous improvement (although I miss the old retro toys that it replaced, they should’ve stayed for memories sake). But thank you Bozeman Parks & Rec for the great maintenance and continued improvements to this gem!!

Asian fusion restaurant
Sweet Chili Asian Bistro is a casual eatery and sushi bar located in downtown Bozeman, Montana. Since its opening in 2010, the bistro has been serving up authentic Asian cuisine from various regions, including Thai, Chinese, and Japanese dishes. The restaurant takes pride in using traditional cooking methods and locally sourced ingredients from Montana ranches and farms. The menu features a variety of options such as Mongolian bison stir fry, chicken drunken noodles, and lunchtime combo meals.
If you do not have this place on your list when visiting Bozeman, you better add it! This was hands down the best nigiri I have ever had in my life! The drunken noodles (1 bison and 1 chicken) were excellent as well. Friendly and attentive staff. 10/10 recommend.

This place is hit or miss. While the craft cocktails were good(mango mojito and japanese old fashioned), the food was nothing special. The drunken noodles were overpriced and tasted like old meat. The sushi was average. The special app was tuna tartar atop of a tempura shiso leaf. This was creative and flavorful, but the last time we will eat here as there are many other better options around.

Having visited tons of countries all over the world, I can quite easily say this is one of the best Asian fusion restaurants I have ever been to! Not only is the food incredible, but the service is top-notch as well. When we visited, we ordered the jumbo shrimp and it had a sauce so exceptional, I would die to have the recipe. We also got an alligator main dish, which, being from Florida, I had slights doubts at how good it would be. Surprisingly enough, it was better than anything I had at home! And these were just daily specials on a random weekday - not even regular menu items! I can’t even begin to imagine how wonderful the other items on the menu are. Sage was an exceptional waitress and kept us engaged, making the experience very enjoyable. Definitely one of the best waiters/waitresses I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. My girlfriend is gluten-free, and not only did Sage go out of her way to explain all gluten-free items on the menu, she was willing to have the entire kitchen cleaned to allow for zero cross-contamination! That is not something a normal restaurant does, and it was such an amazing gesture. I’ll definitely be recommending this restaurant to anyone who visits Bozeman! 😄

Additionally, Revelry is known for its happy hours and selection of wine, cider, and draft beer.
I was really very happy with the food here. We Got a smash burger(pickles were great), spicy burata pizza, and a side salad. Salad greens were great, and I really liked the dressing (basil vinaigrette?). Fries (I like the black pepper) and pizza and burger were really tasty. We had some leftovers to take home. Sat at the bar. Definitely has the hipstery pretentious feel to the place, and it got a little chaotic and noisy as it got busier. Cool tile job on the wood stone oven.

Food was very good; tavern and pizza style with the Bison flare! Would have loved the ability to switch from burger to bison burger. But instead got the meatloaf, was a bit salty, but overall the meat was well cooked. The cauliflower wings are to die for! Only beer and wine; no spirits!

Overall everything was above average but was not overly impressed. The bread with the burrata was very well done. The pizza was good but nothing special! I was not disappointed by anything by any means but not super impressed considering the price! The service was great and even with how crowded it was our food still all came out in a timely manner

Picked this place out of a list - really glad we did. The food was SO GOOD! I highly recommend. My son and I split our meals - the smash burger (so good with the jalepeños in there) and the chicken somethingerother sandwich (so good). They had great fries. I wish I grabbed a couple photos. A great meal all the way around! And the server was especially friendly and nice.

Had dinner here on a Friday night, it was a bit crowded, but I loved the ambiance. We ordered the Japan Chicken, Pasta alla Vodka, and the Giardino Pasta. Everything was so good! The waiter was really kind too. I also had a huckleberry lemonade, and as someone who looks for them everywhere I go, this one was pretty good! The food is a bit on the pricier side, but it’s definitely a great spot for a cozy and classy dinner.

This was a foodie heaven for my celiac husband. There are so many gluten free options which included fried food. The waitress made sure to tell us they don’t put anything in their fryer that has gluten. For their breading on the fried chicken, they use rice flour. We had the cauliflower wings, fries and fondue, and Japan chicken. All of these were excellent. The outdoor seating is lovely and it was the perfect day to be outside after traveling from North Carolina. Highly recommend for anyone but especially if you have celiac disease!!

I’m not usually a fan of vegetables on my pizza but the fungi pizza was the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. The vodka prosciutto pizza was also good. I really enjoyed the huckleberry lemonade because it wasn’t tarty and sour like lemonade usually is. I would even come back just for that lemonade. Our server was helpful. We waited around 10 minutes for our food which is good given that they were busy. I also really love that the restaurant is located in the heart of the downtown.

Fantastic ambience and delicious bites a block off main street. The Bison Bolognese was 🤌🏻 and they had several Montana beers on tap. The service was friendly and swift. Great for a date or small group.

Last Call Modern Mexican

Mexican restaurant
Last Call Modern Mexican, located just off Main Street in downtown Bozeman, is a culinary gem offering elevated Baja cuisine. Chef Luis Valdovinos showcases his passion for Mexican food through a menu that celebrates local seasonal ingredients from Montana and the flavors of the Pacific Ocean and Mexico. The restaurant is known for its hearty house-made blue corn tortillas and popular dishes like margaritas, carne asada fries, and flavorful salsa.
Foodie lovers, rejoice! There is a brand new and delicious destination in Bozeman. Last Call has just recently opened so they’re still ramping up but in the meanwhile you can expect excellent gourmet tacos in a modern renovated space. The beer license is still in the works and this fine establishment does not serve rice and beans so venture for the hibiscus tea—it’s lightly spiced and sublime, and try the spicy ceviche— it’s classic and colorful with fresh jalapeño and cilantro. The menu highlight is absolutely the tacos, namely the Barrio Taco which is beef marinated in 32 spices! For the vegetarians, the portobello mushroom is a flavor packed and satisfying. The carne asada and pollo are also solid picks. Many of the ingredients are locally sourced. Clearly our party enjoyed them so much we didn’t even get a chance to take a picture! With flavors like these, I hope one day they open for brunch!

Finally a restaurant with class and food made with skill. I have waited for a mexican restaurant to have authentic flavors and culinary skill all put together with a great experience. With Chef Luis (Loo-ees) we have this in Bozeman finally. A style of food only the elite get to enjoy in Mexico, fresh and artistically put together. I went for the guacamole first as an appetizer. This would be the tell-all of what to expect for the evening, it was fresh and delicious, then we sampled the hibiscus sangria, amazing! I had a rockfish taco and a surf and turf burrito both had well blended flavors and every bite was exhilarating. The wine selection is no grocery store list either, very well picked out and match the entrees perfectly. Every dish is scratch made from the beginning to order in house, no shortcuts here. On to dessert... churros with a delicious dipping sauce and a well made lava cake, 10 minute wit for this but worth it, both amazing. I had a great night here and highly recommend, make a reservation, I have a feeling you will need it in future. Thank you Chef Louis for visiting the table and sharing your story.

We felt a tad unwelcome from the start- we didn’t make a reservation, but showing up at 5:30 PM there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The host thought long and hard as to whether or not they could seat us because they had some 6:30 reservations. they asked if we thought we could be out by 630, and we agreed. The food tasted really good, but as you can tell from the plate, not a ton of food for the money. I was surprised that they didn’t have even rice and beans or anything to go with the meal. Also, they don’t have a liquor license, so their margaritas are really sweet and made with wine, not tequila. We chose to go beer instead. This might just be a pet peeve of mine, based on my Americanized mindset of consumption, but everything they served wasn’t full. We ordered the chips and salsa, and the salsa bowls were only half full. When the beer was served, it wasn’t a full pour! The waitress was very nice though, and it is a fun place to check out!

Strolled into Last Call on a Friday night and we are so glad we did. Full house so we sat at the bar which was totally fine because the atmosphere was perfect for a drink and dinner. We enjoyed the verde ceviche as an app and did a birria burrito and mahi tacos for dinner. All were A+, especially the burrito. Totally mouthwatering. HIGHLY recommend last call!

Last Call is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Montana! As a native New Mexican, I know good Mexican food when I find it. From the moment we walked in, we received exceptional and attentive service from the staff. Every single thing we tried on the menu was delicious, all the way from the guac/salsa and shrimp ceviche to the mahi mahi taco and birria taco (which are both served on homemade tortillas... truly nothing short of magic!). We ended our meal with the blood orange flan, which was one of the best desserts I have ordered at a restaurant. So flavorful and creamy with a fun citrus twist! Chef Valdovinos & staff made our evening so enjoyable. If you are in the Bozeman area, I would recommend that everyone go to Last Call for incredible food, amazing service, and a delightful experience!

Highly recommend this amazing Mexican restaurant!! The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly, it felt like I was at a family members home. Welcoming and an overall excellent customer experience!!

It is not often that we find a place where everything was excellent but we stopped here on the way through Bozeman and had guac and 4 of the tacos on the selection and shared. The depth of flavors mixed in each was amazing. The verde sauce that accompanied the chips was also delightful and we ordered and extra portion to transport back home to Chicago to share with our friends. If you are in the area and looking for Mexican I would stop here and sample. Thanks to the crew and best wishes until we can make it back sometime.

Ceviche! Last Call has fantastic rockfish ceviche and a very creative menu. Luis the chef & owner comes out of the kitchen to greet his customers and ensure they are enjoying their meal. Good service, good atmosphere, good spot!

American restaurant
Main Street Overeasy is a bustling eatery located in downtown Bozeman, MT, known for serving up classic American and Mexican breakfasts as well as sandwiches and salads for lunch. Established in 1998, this historic spot is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The restaurant offers a colorful and comfortable ambiance where patrons can enjoy fluffy buttermilk pancakes, various egg options, bison sausage patties, and breakfast burritos.
Best biscuits and gravy in town!! Humble, incredible staff, and reasonably priced! This has been a favorite spot of ours for a long time and well worth the wait! The food is delicious, and the staff are always super friendly. Family owned and ran and we love to support our local businesses. Thanks for always an incredible breakfast, Barry!! The breakfast enchilada is now a new favorite of mine. :)

Breakfast is breakfast… but their cinnamon rolls? Next level. You HAVE to get one. They make them fresh in-house and they’re huge—easily enough for two or three people. Gooey, soft, and so good. 🤤 The place itself is super cute but tiny, so just be prepared. It’s a little tucked away—you have to go inside the building and walk toward the back past another business and some stairs. It’s right next to a coffee shop (pretty sure they’re connected), so don’t give up if you don’t spot it right away! I kept it simple with eggs over easy, toast, hash browns (which were great), and a bison sausage patty. The patty wasn’t my fave, but everything else was solid. What really stood out? The staff—so kind, welcoming, and friendly. Definitely a sweet little breakfast spot if you’re in Bozeman.

We came to Main Street Overeasy after being ignored at Western Cafe, and it ended up being a huge blessing in disguise. The service at Main Street Overeasy was amazing, we were greeted cheerfully upon arrival and seated quickly, our server arriving within minutes to take our drink order. The menu is quite extensive, with a variety of amazing options for both good and drink (the latter thanks to the adjacent Cool Beans Coffee Bar). I went with the classic drop coffee, and my partner the Chai, both of which arrived promptly and were absolutely delicious. For breakfast, I had to try the house-made bison sausage, so I went with the Bison Scramble, a delectable delight in each bite. My partner opted for the breakfast burrito, a filling and flavorful staple. We are so grateful for the kind staff, welcoming atmosphere, and spectacular food/drinks. If we ever venture into Bozeman again, Main Street Overeasy will be where we go first. 🩵🩷

Food and service was fantastic! Cheaper than most places around. For three of us it was around 60 and we each got a cup of coffee. The portion sizes were huge and tasted amazing. Family friendly. Our server was Tirzha and she was amazing!

Absolutely loved this place. There was a long wait (expected on a Saturday) and the staff did an AMAZING job coordinating the wait list. The coffee was so good. The staff was attentive and helpful and probably the best I’ve seen at any restaurant I’ve been to. I went the Benedict route thanks to my server Lily and it was worth the wait.

Expect old school dinner food. It's good and quick! Service is great. Buffalo sausage breakfast burrito didn't disappoint 😋
Brian T — Google review
Food was subpar. It wasn’t bad - it just has no seasoning or flavor. Bland. Lackluster. After looking at reviews I was excited to try the biscuits and gravy. Some reviews said “best in town”. I’d have to disagree. Feed and Jam both have much more flavorful and satisfying B&G. Total lack of seasoning in the biscuits and none on the hash-browns or eggs. Would I eat here again? Probably not when there are other options for B&G that are solid.

Everything here is good. Haven't tried much but everything is good. The Bison sausage is excellent. Biscuits are very good. Chicken fried steak is good but doesn't measure up to the 'Best in the West' found a couple blocks away. The gravy is just average. Service is excellent. Looking forward to trying other items. Will return.
