The Florence Center proved to be a suitable location for various events. One such occasion was a live show featuring the beloved Paw Patrol characters, which attracted families with young children. Ample parking space was available, and while outside food and drinks were not permitted, attendees had the option to purchase pizza and fries at the venue. The show commenced at 6p, included a brief intermission, and wrapped up around 7:30p.
Nice venue for the 3-day convention we attended. Everyone was very friendly and kind despite it being very hot and the staff having to stand outside to screen our bags on the way in. Seating in the ballroom was very comfortable. Happy to have attended at this location.

Good place for high school championship games. A lot of hotels next to venue.

1st time visit for Monster Jam. Massive parking, majority of entrances barricaded. 1pm show start and line weaved from building out to other end of parking lot. We didn’t get inside until almost 2pm. Missed half the show. Note for future possible visits - leave several hours early (we live an hr away) or get a room at hotel across or just down street.
Jim L — Google review
Gave them 4 stars just to support the local events, but they were not prepared. Seating was mislabeled, ushers were confused about sections. Event was cool. Son was amazed and that was our goal. Glad we have events like this
Paul H — Google review
Went to the PeeDee Ice Cats hockey game for a great game and my wife's first hockey game ever. Had a blast. Don't understand why the center makes everyone go all the way around to the side entrance instead of coming in right off the parking lot especially in the rain.
Chris S — Google review
Spacious. Clean bathrooms. The food was way overpriced and not very good. As a facility, it was great. It was extremely hot outside, so it was decent inside, but not cold by any means.
Maureen G — Google review
Had an awesome time Friday & Saturday at the Stampede and Pro Rodeo! Thank you Florence Center for making this event possible! The lines moved very quickly during entrance and it was surprisingly quick getting out of the parking lot at the end of the night.

The park was beautiful. Grounds were well kept and statues and memories were far better than expected. I took a group of people here including younger children, everyone had a great time looking at these intricate statues and reading the relevance of each.

This park has a nice flow that gives each branch of service the honor they deserve. The grounds are maintained nicely and the monuments are beautiful.
StevePotts — Google review
By far the most inclusive Veteran Park that I have ever witnessed. Florence has honored every veteran from each era and captured all the emotions that entails. The water fountains were not hooked up but an older gentleman who is the caretaker for the property through the county was kind enough to offer myself and my wife two bottles of his own water. He did not serve but he has been working there for 5 years so I presented to him my personal veterans coin.
Mark M — Google review
Visited the park today for the first time with my Husband to honor those who sacrificed their lives and to learn about the history. It's such a beautiful dedication to those who served our country. I will definitely have to come back again when I'm in the area.
Melanie D — Google review
What a beautiful place to reflect on the men and women who served our country in every branch of the armed forces. The park is clean and quiet, and the sculptures and reflections are beautiful. Although the park is close to the hustle and bustle of the commercial district, the park feels like another world.
Linda — Google review
One best parks I seen for veterans. That honors merchant marines, honors the space force. Very clean. This place should be visit
Ray R — Google review
A beautiful and moving park. The monuments, plaques and ‘Wall of Tears’ fountain honor sacrifices made and endured with utmost dignity and sensibility. I wish for a world where war is no longer part of our story. A must visit.
Laura S — Google review
We were driving through on Interstate and needed a picnic spot for the family to eat our fast food. This park was a beautiful option. It is well maintained, has a nice combination of grassy areas and walking paths. It is well labeled to explain the monuments which sparked some great conversation with the kids. Note it's behind the arena.

Ebenezer Park

4.5
(581)
Park
Ebenezer Park in Florence is a popular local park with various amenities. It features immaculate tennis courts, a small walking track, a baseball field, and picnic tables with grills. The park is well-maintained by the friendly crowd that frequents it. While the restrooms could be better maintained, the extensive playground provides entertainment for children. Additionally, there are covered areas for relief from the sun and plenty of parking available.
Its in the shade is the best part. There are bathrooms. 2 separate plagrounds One for toddlers, other for older children. Swings for both. Nice little climbing mountain.
Diane C — Google review
It was okay. My kid liked it here. It was a decent park for them to play at. There are swings here and a small rock climbing wall for kids. There are benches to sit at and an area that is shaded with tables underneath to sit at as well. There is a baseball field here and a racket ball court. They even have an area if the park here where there's a play area that looks like a small house for the kids to pretend in and an area that looks like a replica small school. It gives the children life like place to really use their imagination. There are a lot of bugs and gnats out here in the evening so make sure to bring your bug spray to coat your little one in.
Amanda R — Google review
Had children play area of course. Yet had the bars for pull ups, dips and ab work out. Definitely a five. I think all parks should have bars for adults as well
J M — Google review
This is the best park in florence. We love it here. From the immaculate tennis courts, with a great tennis wall that you can use for handball! There's a small walking track, baseball field and picnic tables and grills! Thankfully the crowd is usually very nice and keeps the park neat and tidy. The bathrooms could be maintained a bit better but other than that I love this place.
Victoria T — Google review
A few years ago this was one of our favorite stops when traveling but it seems to fall a little lower on our list each time we stop. The park is nice but the bathrooms are vandalized more each visit and show signs of gang activity in the area. There’s a gas station nearby, variety of play equipment, and bathrooms on site. There’s also a baseball field and picnic pavilion.
Brittany W — Google review
Very lively park. Use to be pretty crowded on weekends/sunny days. They have kids play area, barbecue grills, baseball court, tennis courts. Tennis practice wall for beginners. They have multiple tables/benches for get-together/bday parties etc.
Binesh B — Google review
First visited this park with my own kids, now taking my grandson!! Speaks a lot… Up keep has always been great. Covered area allows for a break from our hot sun!! Loads of tables for an easy lunch. Lots of parking, even though it’s on the corner of Ebenezer it sits back enough to be away from traffic.

We rented a picnic shelter at this park for a family bbq. The park was very nice and clean. The only problem both bathrooms were floated. Would definitely visit again.

Cottrills was such a neat place to go and visit. I went in with my wife and we left with a few custom frames that she had done for her business! The owners showed me their amazing display of local art as well as their other printing and framing service they offer. Really neat! Check them out!

Nestled in a historic house, the War Between the States Museum is a treasure trove of artifacts and stories from the Civil War era. As you explore its intimate space, you'll encounter an impressive collection of weapons, uniforms, and photographs that vividly illustrate Florence's significant role during this tumultuous time. One poignant exhibit includes a heartfelt letter from a soldier to his mother, showcasing personal connections amidst the chaos of war.
Only $2 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under. Only open Wed and Sat from 10-5. Many many artifacts. Many old news stories, soldiers' photos, models. It's a great gem for an amazingly low price! On street parking, didn't seem to have A/C, not very handicapped accessible, gift shop included

Our room was filthy. The elevator was filthy as well. Couldn’t even get a new set of towels without having to go get them myself. We did not eat at the restaurant. I would not recommend staying here. It does not live up to the description on the Hilton web site. Poor value and even worse just not clean. The air conditioner was moldy and covered in dust as well as the window sill being covered in deep dust. The bathroom was nasty with mold and poor cleanliness. Housekeeping was non existent. NOT recommended.

If you are in Florence, S.C. I highly recommend this as a good stop. The Museum is open Wed and Sat. 10 to 4 It is a small place, but you will not be sorry if you stop.
Douglas R — Google review
Museum located in a extremely old house, however packed with so much history, one of the neatest things is a small metal container that had a letter from a son to his mother, with 8.50 to help her. His pay for the month would have been around 16 - 20 dollars. Sad to say it was found about 100 years plus .....

Mexican restaurant
Mi Tierra San Jose Mexican Restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy familiar Mexican dishes, imported beers, and flavorful margaritas. While some customers have had mixed experiences with the food and service, others have found it to be a hidden gem in Florence, South Carolina. The restaurant is praised for its authentic Mexican cuisine and excellent service, making it a recommended dining spot for those looking to unwind and savor delicious food and drinks.
This was my 2nd time visiting. 1st was during the busy holiday season, and I was just too busy to post . Excellent food ,good healthy portions ,clean, friendly staff . This time my friend and I both got the barrio tacos the meat was tender and had a fantastic flavor. This is what you are looking for when it comes to Mexican food!!!

Busy but good! The inside is a little dark so these are the best photos we could get, but the food is always good. I tried the chicken fajitas this time (I usually go for veggie) and they were pretty good, though I’ll probably stick with veggie next time lol. I also ordered the Blue Moon margarita and it was amazing! Had such a fun night here with my boyfriend and left with some really sweet memories.
Gwendolyn B — Google review
I have to be honest, after living overseas for 15 years and having this be my first Mexican food after that was an honor. When we walked in, it was busy, but not crowded. We were immediately taken to a table where we were served fresh chips and salsa. We ordered our food, and my wife went to the restroom and by the time she came back the food was there. Piping hot. I ordered a combination plate #5 which had a beef enchilada a cheese enchilada rice and beans. The food was so delicious I practically inhaled it, and the cost was very reasonable. I’d give this a 10/10, and I am taking my whole family back to experience the food there.
Randall T — Google review
This place is 0 for 2. The first time my husband and I had dinner there, we had to move seats twice to avoid water dripping on us. I ended up sitting in a booth so tight I couldn’t breathe. Tonight, my daughter and her friends attended a birthday dinner there and the staff was extremely rude. No receipts and most of the lm are fairly certain they were overcharged. For example, my daughter had a side of rice with meat cut up in it, water and was charged over $20. There were 10 people and Mi Tierra not only added the tip but extra “party” charges. They refused to provide receipts.
B G — Google review
Really great service! The food was good. This restaurant is dog friendly as they have a large outdoor sitting area. The menu has plenty of options. The drinks were excellent. The carne asada could have used a little more flavor but rice and beans were really good. The hard shell tacos were very good. Juan our server was attentive and professional. Would definitely recommend!
Bonita M — Google review
Be sure to check your to go order for accuracy. I was shorted a side order of rice. UPDATE: I phoned the restaurant and the manager assured me that he would refund my card for the missing rice. Three days later, I still have no refund. I stand by my initial statement. DO NOT LEAVE THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT VERIFYING THAT YOU RECEIVED YOUR ENTIRE ORDER THAT YOU PAID FOR. Number of stars reduced based on this.

We ordered the pablino meal and the Little bit of everything meal. Look at the following pictures they speak for themselves. Food is excellently prepared it's presented on the plates and a professional way food has an amazing taste restaurant is clean friendly welcoming environment you may have to wait a few minutes that's what you get when you go to a place that serves perfection Okay have to make a quick update I'm still at the restaurant I did not realize it guacamole came on my mail I hate guacamole but I tried it it's because it was there I didn't want to complain and I was going to say they actually season their guacamole it is absolutely amazing never okay guacamole they're guacamole actually taste amazing great job

Awesome. I visited the local brewery close by, they only had 3 of their beers in tap. I checked out and came to this restaurant. I sat at the bar, was promptly greeted. Their beer menu was a little out of date so I checked out the tap handles. They have AMAZING beer prices. I got a 32 ounce Wicked Weed Pernicious IPA for $5.25. I attached a photo of the other beer prices. The food was great, service was awesome, I'll be back...maybe tomorrow. 😉

My wife and I and our son had her birthday dinner, and it was wonderful. I absolutely love the food here. She was really looking forward to the fried pickles, but it's not on the menu anymore. 😕 still a great night. Thank you to our server, Rebecca.

Horrible. Wish I could be refunded. My burger looked like someone bit off of it. And was not cooked as I ordered it, which was supposed to be pink middle. Instead, it was fully cooked. Fries were dry and cold. The bun was cold and dry like it was taken directly from the refrigerator …The food was awful and not edible. I was too far away so I ended up just throwing it away. $18 wasted…!!!! Don’t waste your time!

Lisa Love should be ashamed, the manager, according to the sign! Another diversity disaster! Entered to see a hostess dressed in a full "Gothic" style outfit! 90 degrees today! Asked if I could sit at the bar? She pointed towards the bar! That was the last person I interacted with during my visit! I waited, waited, and waited! You get the idea! While waiting, I noticed that they were herding all the guests to one side! I realized they only had two servers! I placed my tablet on the bar and it "stuck"! I searched for a menu as I was in hurry! No chance! Salt and sugar on the bar indicated that the bar was not cleaned recently! As I leaned forward looking for the bartender, my shirt stuck to the chair! I got up and left out the to-go door! Another guest commented about the lack of service while watching me exit! All the generic comments from management don't make up for the lack of "management"! At least McDonald's keeps employees and respects the guest!!!

Food was good but not warm enough. My rice and macaroni was cold. I love my food HOT! They had to just have it sitting there until the ribs got done. My waiter was excellent 👌🏽.
Pleasure W — Google review
No complaints about the food. It just took a little longer than average time to get it. Waitress was kind and attentive. She kept our drinks full and was quick to get us everything we needed once the food came out. The noise level is off the charts inside of this restaurant. We had a hard time holding a conversation. It wasn't just a few loud people. It was from clanking kitchen stuff and general open area loudness. I could see this being an issue for people with sensory or hearing issues. But maybe it was just a off day. We most likely would try it again at a different time of day. We ate around 6:30ish.
It'sme G — Google review
Absolutely horrible experience. My fiancé and I come here often and it is fine. This time was just very very strange. Our server T was okay at first but just very awkward. I ordered a lemon drop drink w tito’s. He came back acting very confused saying they didn’t have tito’s. he recommend deep eddys in it as a replacement which was fine. A different person came back w a shot of deep eddys. i did not order a shot. I waited 15 more minutes for anyone to come back to let him know. When he did come back I explained what a lemon drop was and he wrote it down. He later came back w the bartender saying they couldn’t do that bc there was no way to ring it in. Me and my fiancé both work in the restaurant industry and I myself have bartended for years. A 3 ingredient lemon drop should not be something you “can’t make”. I ordered something different and another man, who looked like a manager brought it over. 10 minutes later our server came back apologizing saying that his manager is making him check our IDs. He never checked them when we ordered to begin with. And considering me and my fiancé are both very young still, that is a big no no and could have gotten him in a lot of trouble. He stood there with our IDs for probably 5 minutes straight just staring. Very awkward and uncomfortable. It does not take 5 whole minutes to check an id. All our food came at the same time. And overall everyone we spoke to seemed just confused and awkward, leaving me and my fiancé utterly uncomfortable while just trying to have lunch. The manager we spoke with brushed it off as him just being new. Not a excuse. Let’s not put servers on the floor who aren’t ready yet, or bartenders behind the bar who have no knowledge of basic drinks. 0/10 experience!!!
Callie H — Google review
Can't wait till we go back again to see if they hold to what we experienced! First off Brittney gets the gold star rating for her spectacular customer service skills! Hopefully she is there on our next visit! the food was fabulous quite surprised on how well the flavor was present!

Got to Chili's at 1pm. Immediately was seated and ordered. 50 minutes later the food was delivered. My burger was like shoe leather but dryer. My wife's chicken sandwich was ok. They didn't offer a a senior discount or a reduction in the bill. NOT RECOMMENDED! Do this restaurant at YOUR OWN RISK

Chinese restaurant
Hibachi Grill is a vibrant, family-friendly Chinese restaurant offering an extensive selection of buffet-style dishes, ranging from sushi to lo mein. Despite some changes made in response to the pandemic, the food remains exceptional. While one bar has been closed off, the seafood options are notably delicious. Customers who prefer non-spicy meals can opt for the flavorful house special. Compared to other establishments, Hibachi Grill offers reasonably priced menu items and combo deals that provide great value for money.
I had a great experience at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet. The food tasted delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The lunch buffet was enjoyable, though it could benefit from a bit more variety. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a tasty and satisfying meal. My son is 3 years old and he ate for 2.99 which was a good deal. We end up spending 29 dollars for 2 adults and a kid.

Came in on a Thursday around peek lunch time. There was no wait, so I was seated right away. The Hibachi was too salty. All of the sushi I tried had an off taste. Some of the dishes I tried on the buffet were not so bad. My only complaint would be they couldn't/didn't keep the buffet full. On a positive note, you really can't beat the lunch price. I probably won't come back.
TOMMY B — Google review
First time at this habichi grill restaurant, and it was great. Good food and good service. Very clean and lots of food to pick from. Will diffinitly return.
Aida P — Google review
One of the absolute worst buffets in Florence. The customer service is abysmal and the dried out, old food just makes it even worse. It's very obvious that they do not appreciate or value their customers. I have had one deranged employee at the register disrespectfully toss my receipt at me when one was requested. Apparently she thinks she's too good to do her job and give you a receipt the first time. If it weren't for the tourists who are unaware of the poor service and bottom of the barrel food, this place would be toast. I have visited more than enough times to know that old, bland food is a common feature here. The most sickening observation was water leaking into the string beans on the bar from the cover just above it. I used to think this was a decent place to grab a quick to-go plate from the bar, but now, after all of these experiences, I advise anyone coming into Florence to stay away. Your health and dignity are far too important. I'm sure their South Carolina Department of Health food rating is just as embarrassing as the service.
None N — Google review
Was her labor day. It's what you'd expect from a buffet style place. Staff is nice, food was good, the way hibachi is done is unique in a good way. If I don't get sick this will stay at 5 stars.
James B — Google review
We went on Thursday night and they were an hour from closing and so many of the food items were empty and the counters were so messy. There was still plenty of people coming in and paying full price for the buffet but they were not refilling the items. Also about 20 minutes before closing they took several of the utensils away from the food so I couldn't even scoop some things I had to ask for something and the guy gave me a spoon. I understand they want to go home but, people paid full price to get in, they should have the chance to eat what they want then at 9pm when they close take it all away. Not 20 minutes before. Really disappointed that this is how our local hibachi restaurant treats their paying customers.

Such an amazing restaurant! It was my parents and I’s first time in South Carolina and when we got to the restaurant the guy at the front desk reception area was very polite and helpful. The place itself is beautiful the restaurant was very clean and cozy. My parents enjoyed their food and I enjoyed my dessert. The server we got was amazing! He was so helpful and kind to us and helped us with the dish options. Overall an absolutely excellent experience and we will be returning to this restaurant again! Thank you.

My husband and I came to Florence from Houston, Texas to visit our grandson for the first time. We resided at the Tapestry Hotel and Victors was attached. I took my 1 month old grandson to the restaurant and we had an appetizer and croissant chicken salad. I saw there was a Fried Green tomato BLT but all I wanted was the Fried Green tomatoes so they modified the menu just for me! I felt so special and it was delicious! James was my waiter and super attentive and friendly. He was also concerned about my grandsons comfort. Overall, it was affordable and delicious! Highly recommend!!!

Food and atmosphere were amazing (wagyu burger, pork belly app, and great bread with olive oil). High end but not snooty or stuffy. Very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Logan was my server. She was so kind, helpful, and professional, as was the rest of the staff. Highly recommend Victors and will definitely be back next time I’m in Florence.

Our 22nd anniversary! Started with warm welcome by Gracie. Made us feel important from start. Led us to table where someone wrote note”happy anniversary” Our waitress Hanna and trainee Tania were very polite. Hanna was very knowledgeable about menu and gave sound advice of menu. She was spot on and food was delicious. Presentation very appealing. Hanna was even kind to take our picture. The surrounding atmosphere did not make us feel uncomfortable. And we were very comfortable with our attire. Awesome experience! Will be back! BTW this was our first time at Victors.

What a nice surprise! Excellent marks all around. This was a one night stopover on our way North. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent service and food as good as any we have had. I ordered a dish with a small filet. Expected it would be burnt, but cit was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend Victors in Florence SC!

This place is legit! We took my mom for her birthday and sat in the ‘casual’ side. Wasn’t sure how fancy the ‘fancy’ side was, people in hoodies were sitting there so probably should have done that. Anyway, service was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. All the food was spectacular - we had the flounder which comes out as whole fish btw, steak medallions and more. This is the perfect place to celebrate something special.

We came here for my birthday dinner. I got the filet with the truffle rice grits. They were amazing. The riesling and broccoli cornbread were very good. Sheldon was our waiter and took great care of us.

Day 2

Center of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Timrod Park, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to James Allen Plaza. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Beautiful park! We enjoyed seeing the stream flowing through the park. Nice and smooth walking trail to enjoy as you take in the natural beauty. There is also playground equipment for the kids. There's a tennis court as well.
Deidra — Google review
The park is located in a beautiful neighborhood. Many mature trees surround the lovely park. There is a new state of the art play ground but to my surprise the bathroom facilities were not opened in the daytime when I went on a Sunday in February although it was a nice sunny day with many on the tennis courts and playing pickle ball. I could not give five stars because of the bathrooms being locked on a busy day. There is a historic schoolhouse on site. Lovely area , picnic tables. Standing water in parking lot after heavy rain.
Andrea C — Google review
Come for the serenity or for some activities and exercise. Walk among beautiful trees or play some tennis or pickle ball. The kids can play on contemporary playground equipment while you sit on one of many benches.
StevePotts — Google review
Nice little park, well maintained with a good vibe and a clean creek running through it. The bathrooms were amazingly clean! Overall a great Lil place for a walk and to bring the kids.
Melanie M — Google review
Florence was halfway on our trip and from the reviews we decided to stop here at let the kids run around. Driving to the park the community looked like it was mid-gentrification and we weren’t sure what to expect, but pulling into the park we saw the playground and pickle ball league in full swing and knew it would be good. The playground was nice and accommodating to the variety of age groups we have. It was special needs friendly, but not good for wheelchairs. There were some homeless folks around but they were no harm. Men’s bathroom was locked, so we had to use the women’s but that wasn’t a problem. We’ll keep it in mind for the future!!
Timon K — Google review
Went here to play pickleball tennis. and pickleball courts were beautiful. Perhaps the best public parks set up that I've seen. Friendly folks and lots of empty courts midweek midday
Will S — Google review
Nice walking, has pickle ball courts and tennis courts
Tina T — Google review
The park itself is nice and picturesque. The walking trail goes along the creek and is unpaved. There is an outside gym on the walking path that is functional but worn. There are also several pickleball or tennis courts. The playground is also functional for the most part but is in rough shape. It needs needs a lot of TLC. There was a bathroom but it was locked. I would recommend this playground for kids that are not potty training (other reviews also mentioned locked bathrooms) and for kids 4 and up.

The First Presbyterian Church was incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a friendly atmosphere. Their Christmas program showcased exceptional talent, with outstanding performances of singing and elegant attire. The director, Julian Young, demonstrated his skill in organizing this event. It was evident that the church values community involvement as they warmly welcomed new visitors and provided extensive support in various aspects. Additionally, their bell concert was highly enjoyable for attendees.
My daughter is attending Camp Winshape for the second summer in a row. She loves it and looks forward to it with excitement. The staff is positive and encouraging to the children and I get to hear about it for hours after I've picked her up.

The Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center is a versatile arts complex with two theaters and an amphitheater that hosts a variety of concerts, plays, and other events. Recently, there was a music concert held in both the main entrance area and the main hall for the school. However, some people were still talking during the class performance, causing noise and confusion.
Finally, after 4 years of being in SC, I went to this beautiful place for a show. Never knew they had shows and concerts here!! Went to see Step Afrika. They serve drinks and wine but no snacks. Well, at that particular show. But it was so nice!!

Beautiful place. It's very informative by giving information on how and who help with forming Florence and also some of the neighboring cities as well. My granddaughter did the scavenger hunt they had for people to do if they chose to. We had a great time, 90 minutes went by very quickly today!!!!

I was very disappointed. I use to visit the Florence Museum when it was in Timrod Park and I must say although it was much smaller, it houses much more artifacts and exhibits. Unfortunately, sometimes a more elaborate building with not as much content is not what a historic museum ought to be. I do not know what has happened during the transition but many treasured history items were simply not there.

Great museum and very informative history in South carolina.I enjoyed the time I had here. Even though one side was closed it still was a nice size. The front desk staff did seem like they didn't want to be there other than that it was a nice museum to visit.

Wholly Smokin’ is an upscale-casual BBQ restaurant located in downtown Florence, SC. It is known for its traditional smoked BBQ recipes and also introduces new BBQ dishes to cater to diverse tastes. The menu features a variety of smoked meats including chicken, seafood, beef, and pork, with St. Louis style BBQ Ribs being a popular choice among diners. In addition to the delicious food, the restaurant offers a full bar with local and regional craft beers, cocktails, and wine.
Great smokin spot!! They cook on electric wood smoker. Great smoke flavor. The service was great . He told us all the recommendations. We went with the mixed appetizers plate. The smoked wings were awesome . Potato skins were good. They also have a great beer menu . The side salad was a generous size with great toppings. Ask for the spicy sauce they have in the back. It’s delicious!! The mustard sauce was also great!! We will definitely be back when we are in the area!!
Tasty H — Google review
I ate the two meat plate with pulled pork and brisket burnt ends. Both had a slight smokey flavor. The sauces they serve are Kansas City dark sweet sauce and Carolina Gold. Both add good flavor to the meats. The sides were the potato salad and BBQ beans. Both were delicious but the potato salad was unique from what I have had. The meal was delicious and the service excellent.
Brian ( — Google review
We went to Florence to visit some friends and with it being a Sunday, most restaurants were closed. Found Wholly Smokin and decided to try it. The restaurant is located downtown Florence and it gives no appeal from the outside. The air was on, and it was hot outside that day, but it was hot in there. Our server was sweating the entire time and she was taking orders so no negative words there. Walking in we had no expectations about the food. Turned out, the food was pretty good! We had smoked wings, which Richard said was surprisingly good; brisket, burnt ends, sweet potato fries, collard greens, baked beans, corn and limas, fried okra. They were all good. Serving size was large, there was brisket to take home. I finished all of my plate. Now the worst item and it's not pictured is the mac/cheese. Straight from the Kraft box! If in Florence, would probably order to go and not eat in. I recommend the wings, burnt ends, collards and succotash. Also street parking only, so that make it a challenge. We went on Sunday, so parking was easier to find.
Chanda B — Google review
4/5 -this is my second time at Wholly Smokin and overall I’m conflicted. Service is great. Certain dishes are amazing and other ones are just OK. Nothing I’ve had here as bad, but it just doesn’t blow me away like some other BBQ places have. The best thing we probably had were the smoked chicken wings, which were a little small but very flavorful. The pulled pork and brisket are all right, but again not super amazing. Sides are similar. Would come here again, but not rushing to
Keller S — Google review
I would not try again and waste of time. Good wasn't good at all. I picked 3 and it was sample sizes food very bland fries was better than all of it. They need house keeping and the girl that takes order need to be fired sitting eating with friends jumps up take order go back and sit down you have to wait on her to recognize you waiting to place order.
Dee D — Google review
We were passing through Florence, SC on our way to the beach, and I was so excited for my friend (visiting from Wisconsin) to try some real Southern BBQ. After checking reviews, we decided to stop at Wholly Smokin’ BBQ, and while the food, unfortunately, missed the mark for us, I cannot say enough good things about our server, Infinite. Let me be clear—Infinite is hands-down one of the best bartender/servers I’ve ever encountered. He was welcoming, engaging, attentive, and brought such a warm and genuine energy to our visit. If I were rating service alone, this would be a 5-star review without hesitation. Full stop. Now, about the food—we ordered the 2-meat sampler with burnt ends and a ½ rack of ribs, along with mac & cheese and the creamy slaw. Sadly, everything was underwhelming. The ribs were tough and overcooked—nowhere near the “fall-off-the-bone” experience you expect from Southern BBQ. I couldn’t even cut them easily with a knife. The slaw had a strange aftertaste, and the mac and cheese lacked flavor and creaminess—it just felt flat. We told Infinite everything was “fine” at the time because he was so attentive and kind, and we genuinely appreciated his service. But in all honesty, the food did not live up to the hype. That said—if you're in town, I still recommend grabbing a drink at the bar, especially if Infinite is working. His service alone made the stop worthwhile. But absolutely skip what we ordered.

Food was good. I had sides- Mac was a little dry but the potato salad is incredible. The limas were perfect. My husband and son enjoyed the burnt ends sandwiches. I forgot to take photos because we were so hungry.

Town Hall is an elegant establishment that boasts a sophisticated rooftop bar and serves innovative, locally sourced cuisine inspired by the South. The dishes are delectable, displaying a harmonious blend of flavors and expertly cooked meats. The waitstaff is charming and well-versed in the menu, even accommodating dietary restrictions such as celiac disease with ease. This attention to detail creates a rare and enjoyable dining experience.
We went for brunch and had a great experience. The food was top notch. Chicken and waffles were very good, chicken biscuit with pimento cheese was my favorite, and another friend got a burger. We had more than we could eat and I had two drinks and I got out for $100, which I expected for what we wanted to try. It wasn’t crowded but I hope people continue to come, because our group thought it was amazing! Highly recommend the melon salad, local sausage, and banana pudding cinnamon roll for starters. Also, the server was very sweet, timely, and knowledgeable. I cannot remember her name, but she was wonderful! Will be back plenty!

We had a late brunch and were pleasantly surprised at the hospitality and service! Ellie took very good care of us, and Dominique was an excellent host! The Town Hall Burgers, the Salmon BLT, and Biscuits and Gravy were excellent entrees, and the breakfast sausage appetizer was delicious. The sleeper and overall winner were the Fried Oyster Deviled Eggs!! That alone was worth the price of admission! If we ever find ourselves in Florence SC, we will definitely return! And they have a corkage fee so bring your best bottles of wine!

Just got home from celebrating our third year anniversary and had a great time! The atmosphere was perfect, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was phenomenal! I got the roasted vegetables and you can tell everything was fresh and it had a nice spice to it. My husband got the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly for him. They even gave us an anniversary card signed by everyone there and that was such a sweet touch to our experience.

Driving from Boston to Fort Lauderdale, we chose the Hyatt Place in Florence, SC, as our second stop. Conveniently located, the hotel is just across the street from a gem of a restaurant, Town Hall, which seems to be a favorite among locals and travelers alike. After parking, we took a short stroll with our husky around the neighborhood, and it became clear that Town Hall was the place to be. For dinner, we started with the spinach salad, which was fresh and flavorful—a perfect way to whet our appetites. For the main course, we ordered the Town Hall Smash Burger and the hangar steak. Both dishes were outstanding, prepared to perfection, and delivered with impeccable taste. The burger was juicy and indulgent, while the steak was tender, cooked to the ideal temperature, and seasoned just right. The restaurant’s warm and inviting atmosphere added to the experience. By 6:30 PM, every table was filled, creating a lively yet cozy vibe. To cap off the evening, we saved a few bites of the steak for our husky, who was thrilled with the treat and clearly approved of our dining choice. Town Hall was a delightful highlight of our journey, and we’ll definitely keep it in mind for future stops.
