This park has a nice flow that gives each branch of service the honor they deserve. The grounds are maintained nicely and the monuments are beautiful.

By far the most inclusive Veteran Park that I have ever witnessed. Florence has honored every veteran from each era and captured all the emotions that entails. The water fountains were not hooked up but an older gentleman who is the caretaker for the property through the county was kind enough to offer myself and my wife two bottles of his own water. He did not serve but he has been working there for 5 years so I presented to him my personal veterans coin.

Visited the park today for the first time with my Husband to honor those who sacrificed their lives and to learn about the history. It's such a beautiful dedication to those who served our country. I will definitely have to come back again when I'm in the area.

What a beautiful place to reflect on the men and women who served our country in every branch of the armed forces. The park is clean and quiet, and the sculptures and reflections are beautiful. Although the park is close to the hustle and bustle of the commercial district, the park feels like another world.

One best parks I seen for veterans. That honors merchant marines, honors the space force. Very clean. This place should be visit

A beautiful and moving park. The monuments, plaques and ‘Wall of Tears’ fountain honor sacrifices made and endured with utmost dignity and sensibility. I wish for a world where war is no longer part of our story. A must visit.

We were driving through on Interstate and needed a picnic spot for the family to eat our fast food. This park was a beautiful option. It is well maintained, has a nice combination of grassy areas and walking paths. It is well labeled to explain the monuments which sparked some great conversation with the kids. Note it's behind the arena.

Fun, educational and surprising gem of a museum. Super interesting local history coupled with beautiful works of art. The museum is laid out very well. As you stroll through the exhibit by Johnson, you'll find a fascinating story of a talented man whose life and travels shaped his art.

Beautiful place. It's very informative by giving information on how and who help with forming Florence and also some of the neighboring cities as well. My granddaughter did the scavenger hunt they had for people to do if they chose to. We had a great time, 90 minutes went by very quickly today!!!!

I was very disappointed. I use to visit the Florence Museum when it was in Timrod Park and I must say although it was much smaller, it houses much more artifacts and exhibits. Unfortunately, sometimes a more elaborate building with not as much content is not what a historic museum ought to be. I do not know what has happened during the transition but many treasured history items were simply not there.

Great museum and very informative history in South carolina.I enjoyed the time I had here. Even though one side was closed it still was a nice size. The front desk staff did seem like they didn't want to be there other than that it was a nice museum to visit.

What a great place! Stopped here for lunch on the way to Hilton Head. Staff was SUPER! Food was excellent! Beers were tasty! Very dog friendly! Easy parking. Great prices!!

We have been wanting to try Seminar again since the new ownership. We were blown away by the updated and bright interior. Food was very good, but very simple. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and food and drink came out timely.

What a great find! The food smells amazing and everyone said it was...we had already eaten so bummer for us lol. But I was talked into an old fashioned with the "fat-washed" bourbon (look it up! Who knew!). and was pleasantly surprised...so I had 2 lol. If you stop in say "hey" to Ashley and KP for us! They're great! Everyone was great actually. Lots of beer & bbq. Plus they have pool tables and pin ball machines. Cool place, cool people.

I was looking for real southern BBQ while we were down here and I found it. Best BBQ in the world may be true, best I have ever had for sure. I had the Trinity, a bit of everything, and all of it was amazing. Good beer too.

We picked this brewery to stop at because it was a convenient distance from I-95 along US 52 in Florence. We did not know what to expect. We loved everything about it. It is roomy and airy inside with pool tables, a very nice bar and seating area. The bartenders were very well-mannered and informative. They made suggestions as we tried many of their styles. We ordered up our usual two flights to start things off. The brews were generally very good to excellent. It is difficult to pick a favorite, but I would recommend the Vectors Black Cascadian Dark Ale, which was simply amazing, and a collaboration effort with another SC brewery (Wild Heart). A trivia game got started during our visit that we could not stay long enough to join in, but we played along quietly for the first couple rounds and it was a lot of fun. We were on a roll and probably should have stayed. This was the kind of place that the next time we visit, we will safely assume going in that everything will taste good. We came in to try the beer and left very happy that we did stop in at Seminar.

We’ve been a couple times recently and really enjoyed it. The new kitchen is really excellent. They have terrific burgers, wings and nachos. It’s great to stop and get a double cheeseburger and one of their pixel beers. It always seems like everything is very clean and organized, which is nice also.

Elliott's BBQ Lounge is such a vibe! The food is delicious and the service great.

This is where parks go to die. It was very trashy. It didn't look like it was maintained. The QR code to use as a self guided tour didn't work and there were no pamphlets. The trails weren't clearly marked. I didn't feel safe there either. I do not recommend this to anyone.

Nice place for a nature walk. Not much onsite to guide your tour. Appears not much maintenance provided to the area. The one information area was in need of cleaning and upkeep.

Very interesting historical site. The paths are easy to walk and there are markers but unfortunately there is no explanation at each point. Though the paths are maintained the site really is not with a lot of growth blocking the view of the stockade.

Beware there are no facilities here. Didn't even see a picnic table. No maps with fun historical information to follow. It's a trail to some old fort posts. It should be called an old historical "site" NOT a visitor center. On the one (hard to read) map located on a gazebo, there was no indication where you are located on the map. Hard to get your bearings. Kids would hate this dirt walk. But it is free.

Beautiful nature walking trail but if you want to see history, it’s disappointing. Really can only see a few poles and that’s it. Hard to figure out where the trails start from the kiosk since it doesn’t indicate where you are and the map doesn’t indicate current roads to give you a reference. I did figure out later the part that used current roads was marked with white paint and yellow flag but I had initially thought it was underground line markings since in goes right next to a water treatment plant.

Very disappointed. The property is very unkept. There is litter everywhere. The trails a poorly marked. There are no signs saying what anything is. There is a very small portion of the stockade wall and a gazebo with information on it. But if you want to walk the trails you are on your own and can easily loose your way. The QR code for the self guided tour did not work.

There is nothing there but trees and trails. Very disappointed!

Good place for high school championship games. A lot of hotels next to venue.

1st time visit for Monster Jam. Massive parking, majority of entrances barricaded. 1pm show start and line weaved from building out to other end of parking lot. We didn’t get inside until almost 2pm. Missed half the show. Note for future possible visits - leave several hours early (we live an hr away) or get a room at hotel across or just down street.

Gave them 4 stars just to support the local events, but they were not prepared. Seating was mislabeled, ushers were confused about sections. Event was cool. Son was amazed and that was our goal. Glad we have events like this

Went to the PeeDee Ice Cats hockey game for a great game and my wife's first hockey game ever. Had a blast. Don't understand why the center makes everyone go all the way around to the side entrance instead of coming in right off the parking lot especially in the rain.

Spacious. Clean bathrooms. The food was way overpriced and not very good. As a facility, it was great. It was extremely hot outside, so it was decent inside, but not cold by any means.

Had an awesome time Friday & Saturday at the Stampede and Pro Rodeo! Thank you Florence Center for making this event possible! The lines moved very quickly during entrance and it was surprisingly quick getting out of the parking lot at the end of the night.

Went to the monster jam with kids had a great time florence center was clean staff friendly.

The park is located in a beautiful neighborhood. Many mature trees surround the lovely park. There is a new state of the art play ground but to my surprise the bathroom facilities were not opened in the daytime when I went on a Sunday in February although it was a nice sunny day with many on the tennis courts and playing pickle ball. I could not give five stars because of the bathrooms being locked on a busy day. There is a historic schoolhouse on site. Lovely area , picnic tables. Standing water in parking lot after heavy rain.

Come for the serenity or for some activities and exercise. Walk among beautiful trees or play some tennis or pickle ball. The kids can play on contemporary playground equipment while you sit on one of many benches.

Nice little park, well maintained with a good vibe and a clean creek running through it. The bathrooms were amazingly clean! Overall a great Lil place for a walk and to bring the kids.

Florence was halfway on our trip and from the reviews we decided to stop here at let the kids run around. Driving to the park the community looked like it was mid-gentrification and we weren’t sure what to expect, but pulling into the park we saw the playground and pickle ball league in full swing and knew it would be good. The playground was nice and accommodating to the variety of age groups we have. It was special needs friendly, but not good for wheelchairs. There were some homeless folks around but they were no harm. Men’s bathroom was locked, so we had to use the women’s but that wasn’t a problem. We’ll keep it in mind for the future!!

Went here to play pickleball tennis. and pickleball courts were beautiful. Perhaps the best public parks set up that I've seen. Friendly folks and lots of empty courts midweek midday

Nice walking, has pickle ball courts and tennis courts

The park itself is nice and picturesque. The walking trail goes along the creek and is unpaved. There is an outside gym on the walking path that is functional but worn. There are also several pickleball or tennis courts. The playground is also functional for the most part but is in rough shape. It needs needs a lot of TLC. There was a bathroom but it was locked. I would recommend this playground for kids that are not potty training (other reviews also mentioned locked bathrooms) and for kids 4 and up.

This was a must see! A lot of great history to see here in such a small space and don’t forget to check out the second floor!

Great little museum in an old house with lots of interesting history facts. We really enjoyed our visit and walked away with a little more knowledge on the War Between the States.

Vintage house museum with moving memorabilia of a terrible conflict of bygone days. Gift shop. Worth a visit.

For a history buff I've enjoyed it very much and listening to the staff

Our room was filthy. The elevator was filthy as well. Couldn’t even get a new set of towels without having to go get them myself. We did not eat at the restaurant. I would not recommend staying here. It does not live up to the description on the Hilton web site. Poor value and even worse just not clean. The air conditioner was moldy and covered in dust as well as the window sill being covered in deep dust. The bathroom was nasty with mold and poor cleanliness. Housekeeping was non existent. NOT recommended.

If you are in Florence, S.C. I highly recommend this as a good stop. The Museum is open Wed and Sat. 10 to 4 It is a small place, but you will not be sorry if you stop.

Museum located in a extremely old house, however packed with so much history, one of the neatest things is a small metal container that had a letter from a son to his mother, with 8.50 to help her. His pay for the month would have been around 16 - 20 dollars. Sad to say it was found about 100 years plus .....

Absolutely beautiful. However, we didn't know if people lived there. Felt alittle uncomfortable just walking around. The place was locked up and no signa once you get up the drive to the house. It looks like someone lives here. So we left.

Beautiful old style house, no signs of any kind, did not go into the house, just walked around and admired the flowers on what I think may have been a form of magnolia tree..must look into..bur that was it...not sure it a tourist attraction all year around. Saw a dog, not a single person...

This is a perfect day for the entire family from babies to the grandparents it's a perfect way to get school kids interested in history. I go with my family every year I can, there is something for everyone and a way to make memories and learn what really took place

2019 Swamp Fox Highland Games were cold and rainy, but still a great event for a great cause. Next year will be perfect!

Beautiful historical home

The annual reenactment of the Battle at The Columns in March is a great time! Don't miss the house tour, and the quilts display on the grounds.

We've been there twice now for there Civil War reenactment and we went for the Scottish games it's always nice that Jimmy Harwell host these things on his Plantation take a tour it's very interesting it's his family home

Definitely worth a stop! We stayed overnight in our RV but the close proximity to the interstate makes this an easy in/out for anyone. Sample their inventory, you'll find lots to enjoy.

Great selection of some really great liquors and liqueurs. Owner was very generous and knowledgeable during a tasting. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different and would like to support a small business.

OMG, this distillery is small, but let me tell you, he has the best rye whiskey. I have been in a lot of distillery, and I am a rye whiskey drinker, and I love its rye whiskey. I recommend this place.

Today's travel is Charleston to Florence SC. A fairly short trip to stay at a Harvest Hosts stop in our RV. Straw Hat Distillery, which is run by Stephen and offers small batch whiskeys and moonshine (moonshine makes me think of you mom 😃😉. Got you some blackberry moonshine 🤪). Picked up some bourbon, moonshine cherries and coffee moonshine for me lol. Can't wait to try them! This place is a quick jump off of 95 in Florence. Definitely check it out!

It may not look like much from the outside, but the selection inside is great and very tasty! The proprietor was very nice and helpful. All 4 of us had a nice time!

We enjoyed our visit! We asked a lot of questions and Mr. Winter's answered each and every one. The tasting was also very informative and extremely fun. I would highly recommend a vist to Straw Hat Distillery!

We had an amazing time with Stephen trying everything they had available! We couldn't stop talking about the Apple Pie Moonshine and the Moonarita. Will definitely be back!

We have come here for different venues. It's very laid back and comfortable. The people are very friendly, courteous, and enjoyable to be around. We enjoy every visit.

Really nice PAC, watched the Nutcracker ballet there. Very spacious and modern. Best part about this place is that they have parking, and plenty of it.

A spectacular performing arts center and true gem for the State of South Carolina. Terrific production staff and management team.

Spent a wonderful evening here watching Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone! Facility has great architecture and seating was nice.

The FMU PAC is a great medium sized performing arts center with a variety of shows and concerts year round. There's not a bad seat in the house.

The Black Box Theater is an awesome listening room, got to film performance there and the sound was amazing. Great staff.

It was so warm and friendly. There Christmas program was one of excellence. The singing and the Tuxedos. Outstanding Director Julian Young I thinj. This was our first visit ever here. We plan to visit again

Everyone is SUPER nice and my kids love going there. The youth Pastor, Brock Page, is Excellent and really the kids LOVE him. Send your kids and tell me they don't come home happy and informed.

The Yoga program is excellent!!! So spiritual and uplifting! Welcoming atmosphere, friendly people!!!

Visited for the outdoor Christmas play glad I went it was very nice !

It was okay. My kid liked it here. It was a decent park for them to play at. There are swings here and a small rock climbing wall for kids. There are benches to sit at and an area that is shaded with tables underneath to sit at as well. There is a baseball field here and a racket ball court. They even have an area if the park here where there's a play area that looks like a small house for the kids to pretend in and an area that looks like a replica small school. It gives the children life like place to really use their imagination. There are a lot of bugs and gnats out here in the evening so make sure to bring your bug spray to coat your little one in.

Had children play area of course. Yet had the bars for pull ups, dips and ab work out. Definitely a five. I think all parks should have bars for adults as well

This is the best park in florence. We love it here. From the immaculate tennis courts, with a great tennis wall that you can use for handball! There's a small walking track, baseball field and picnic tables and grills! Thankfully the crowd is usually very nice and keeps the park neat and tidy. The bathrooms could be maintained a bit better but other than that I love this place.

Very lively park. Use to be pretty crowded on weekends/sunny days. They have kids play area, barbecue grills, baseball court, tennis courts. Tennis practice wall for beginners. They have multiple tables/benches for get-together/bday parties etc.

First visited this park with my own kids,now taking my grandson!! Speaks a lot… Up keep has always been great. Covered area allows for a break from our hot sun!! Loads of tables for an easy lunch. Lots of parking, even though it’s on the corner of Ebenezer it sits back enough to be away from traffic.

We rented a picnic shelter at this park for a family bbq. The park was very nice and clean. The only problem both bathrooms were floated. Would definitely visit again.

This is a good local park with an extensive playground. My daughter enjoyed playing here and it helped her feel better after a long day of driving. She met a nice local girl and they played together for almost an hour. Restrooms were not well maintained, and the playground was a little aged, but it was a fun park nonetheless.

This could be a 5 star playground if Florence would clean and maintain the bathrooms! We stopped here for a picnic lunch halfway through a 10 hour drive, and the playground was perfect for the kids (ages 10-2). The playground equipment is relatively new and in good condition. There was minimal trash on the ground, and the pavilion/picnic tables were fine. The bathrooms were disgusting and inoperable, though.

I usually walk on the trail while my children play but today a fox came out of the wooded area so I made sure to tell everyone else that was out there.

Tried multiple times to reserve a spot at the field for a birthday party. The lady told me what day to meet her at the park to pick up the application then she didn't show. She rescheduled for two days later and never showed again. Do yourself a favor and go directly to the office. Don't waste your time trying to call.

We really like how spacious this park is and the equipment is pretty well maintained. The grounds are always clean. The bathrooms need more help. They are usually nasty and not working.
