Nature & Parks
Peace Valley Park is a serene outdoor destination spanning over 1,500 acres and surrounding the picturesque 365-acre Lake Galena. The park offers various recreational activities such as boating rentals, children's playgrounds, and numerous walking and hiking trails. Visitors can enjoy wildlife watching opportunities along the six-mile loop trail around the lake or explore the 14 miles of nature trails through woodlands and meadows at the eastern end of Lake Galena.
Beautiful place. Kayak and paddleboat rektale. Nice trails to walk, ride bike and run etc. Nice picnic areas for families and playing games. Very kid friendly..
Rush J — Google review
A great place to take your family, and there are plenty of amazing birds to see! (ex. double-crested cormorant, ring-billed gull, tree swallow, bank swallow, chimney Swift, great blue heron, northern cardinal, Canada Goose, etc.)
Gem T — Google review
One of the nicest parks in the Bucks County Area, has a great six mile trail that goes around a lake, and there’s a gift shop/exhibit about halfway around where you can stop to look around and take a breather! Perfect place to get your exercise and enjoy nature!
James K — Google review
Such a beautiful and peaceful place to walk. The beauty of the water along the whole way around and just such beauty in nature in itself.
Amy D — Google review
Great park with plenty of space for picnics, trail walking, running, biking, fishing and bbqs. One of the few spots with large water in the area.
Shawn R — Google review
The 6 Mile trail loop around the lake is perfect either walking, jogging or on your bike!
John C — Google review
A Hidden Gem of Peace and Beauty Peace Valley Park truly lives up to its name—peace. Anybody who has been here knows its undeniable charm. The six-mile loop around the lake is simply stunning, offering changing views with every turn: sparkling water, whispering trees, and open skies that make you want to linger just a little longer. This is not just a place to walk—it’s a place to breathe. You’ll see people paddle boarding, kayaking, or canoeing across the calm water, families picnicking under the trees, dogs happily trotting along the paths, and friends laughing as they take in the view. It’s both lively and serene, a perfect balance. Practical amenities like clean public bathrooms, plentiful parking, and well-kept picnic areas make it an easy and comfortable visit. And for dog lovers, it’s a joy to share the trails with your furry friend. If you’re looking for a spot that offers natural beauty, exercise, relaxation, and a sense of calm all in one, Peace Valley Park is a must-visit. Whether you’re walking, paddling, or simply sitting by the water, you’ll leave feeling refreshed and renewed.

...it don't get more peaceful than this! Peace Valley and Lake Galena is just a skipp'n stone's throw away-about 30 minutes from our house in North Wales. With beautiful scenery all year round.

It's one of the best places to have a peaceful trip. Quite time and solemn. It's technically on the top of the mountain. Yes, there's a lot of people coming, but because it's an open space and no neighboring commercial areas or houses around or nearby, that's why it's a great time to have a moment of dedications.
Mace M — Google review
I visited the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA a significant shrine for the Polish-American community in the U.S. As this year is a Holy Year, the site serves as a pilgrimage site for those who cannot make it to Rome. The shrine was dedicated in 1966. It features a replica of the Black Madonna icon; the original is in the Jasna Góra Monastery in Poland which I have been lucky enough to visit! Although the building itself is not particularly beautiful, the two giant stained glass walls are magnificent as are the altars of the main church and the chapel.
Francine L — Google review
We visited on the Polish festival day; very crowded but extremely well organized. Food was delicious, although there could be better options for vegans, and people from ticket desk to the restaurant were very, very nice. It is worth visiting on regular days, to learn about the Polish community and also for a prayer
Cristina P — Google review
Our Lady of Czestochowa is a truly beautiful shrine—peaceful and welcoming, with many serene places to pray and reflect. The Polish and Slavic festival is wonderfully organized, filled with vibrant traditions, heartfelt community spirit, and rich cultural heritage. A truly special place to visit.

Doylestown Shopping Center

Shopping mall
Doylestown Shopping Center is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the heart of Bucks County, offering a variety of shopping and dining options. While reservations are not always necessary, they are highly recommended for popular spots like the Sunday brunch or fine dining on busy Friday nights. The center features a new shopping destination with a wide range of offerings including clothing, handbags, housewares, gifts, and more. Visitors can enjoy a unique shopping experience with helpful staff and a friendly atmosphere.
This is a large shopping center located on Main Street in Doylestown. Plenty of parking and features to main stores an Acme and a Target which I was told by an employee they don't have a public restroom which I find to be ridiculous. The Acme and Target are both spacious. There is a Wendy's on one end and a Burger King on the other. There is also a Mexican themed restaurant. They had a Staples a pet store and a home goods store. One stop shopping for the locals.
Ken B — Google review
If you're running into the Staples for ink/toner... even the folks at Staples will tell you to check the Target across the parking lot for better prices. Service at Staples is superlative. Prices at Target are better for most things.
Pamela H — Google review
Very nice shopping center!! It’s cute and quaint. It doesn’t have a lot of parking but enough I guess to accommodate as needed. I stopped in FWGS and I enjoyed this location due to their overwhelming selection of bourbon. Staff was absolutely helpful in searching for what I needed. I highly recommended coming here if you’re searching for a wider selection of spirits.
Ny B — Google review
Acme & Target are. I usually don't shop at Acme unless it's really convenient and I need to save time. I think their prices are too high. On the other hand, Target is here. I love Target and don't shop here frequently enough. I have a circle membership and love that they deliver. They have a grocery area that has a good variety of products (food, drinks, dairy and other refrigerated items, etc).
Sharon V — Google review
All stores and restaurants are very busy and that's all day long. The parking lot layout with accesses and exits are a little challenging at times, which makes it interesting to say the least. Keep an open mind while looking for a parking spot. Watch the pedestrians, they don't look first, they seem to just walk out into the throughway totally oblivious to their surroundings .
Bernie P — Google review
Recently, I had an Amazon order to return. Staples has office and school supplies as well as most tech you could possibly need for you home, office or compact, but the 1 service I just learned about is their a Amazon return center. After you complete the online return, all you have to do is bring the item in without a bag or packaged and show then the code Amazon provided. They do the rest. I also visited Acme. It's a nice and clean grocery store. They have a solid bakery, seafood and butcher. It's a nice place to do your weekly shopping.

The Hattery Stove & Still is a charming restaurant located in Doylestown, offering a blend of vintage charm and modern culinary delights. Situated in a historic 19th-century building, the restaurant boasts an antique-industrial decor that sets the stage for a unique dining experience. The menu features creative American tavern fare with a contemporary twist, showcasing carefully crafted dishes and handcrafted cocktails.
Practically perfect. Food was excellent. Surf and turf was excellent. Good beer selection. Service was attentive. Ambience is classy but not still casual and not uptight at all. I love this place. The only downside is the menu doesn't have much of a selection, but at least it seems like everything on it is really good.

A great find. Nice staff, great food, relaxed quaint, turn of the century vibe. Lots of wood, brass, and a plethora of chandeliers! It is connected to the Doylestown Inn. Nice beer selection, with sparkling wine on tap. The wine list is small but well curated. Will need to visit again.

Great place to start or finish your day in Doylestown. The Hattery Stove & Still is in the Doylestown Inn whate we stayed for the weekend. Super friendly staff and great drinks and food. Breakfast was one of are favorite's. Stop by for a drink or tidbit while walking and shopping in town. Will definitely be back for more great food and atmosphere!!!

This place is so good. To start I got the Breakfast Bruschetta and it tasted like a rainbow cookie. My mom got the hot chips and they were homemade potato chips with fondue for $6. Our entrees were also very good but those starters blew me away.
Isabella P — Google review
Bartender and drinks great. Atmosphere is very cool. Nothing we had to eat matched the vibe. Chicken Milanese was bland bland bland. Shrimp tacos had underripe mangoes and avocados. Take out Tiramasu - not sure they know the recipe - it was like a weird cheesecake version.
Suzi F — Google review
The ambiance is delightful and the food is pretty good. Quaint little spot on the main thoroughfare inside the old hotel. The staff was friendly but seemed to be a little inattentive during our visit. The biscuits and gravy starter was spectacular. The serving size was perfect, and the gravy was particularly well seasoned. We had Huevos Rancheros which were well proportioned, but the black bean mole was a bit overpowering at times. We also ordered the pork belly Cubano which was overall not bad, but could definitely have improved with a little more acidity from some added mustard. Worth a trip in for sure.

Empanada Mama is a cozy counter-serve spot that specializes in creative empanadas, inspired by the owner's time in Buenos Aires. The business quickly gained popularity and now has its own storefront due to its huge fan base. Empanada Mama offers an ever-changing menu of both sweet and savory hand-pies with unique fillings like Korean beef, Mexican street corn, loaded baked potato, and more.
Our favorite place in all of Doylestown! Order to-go or enjoy them at the picnic tables on a nice day. I love how the flavors rotate, so there is always something new and delicious to try. Make sure to get the Korean Beef (with Asian dipping sauce) and the cocoa caramel bars if it’s your first visit!
Shannon B — Google review
The Chipotle Chicken Empanadas are so flavorful and good. They sold out of the Buffalo Chicken ones when I got there. The Chipotle Aioli is also good. Walk up window only, no seating. Pay cash and get the sauce for free.
Tiffany C — Google review
The empanadas are good. I like how they are fresh. We tried corn and samosa in vegetarian, I think samosa was a bit bland but having it with chipotle aioli makes up for it. We also tried buffalo chicked and bacon w dates. Good option for a quick snack. no seating
Rachita S — Google review
We like this place but find it can be inconsistent. Korean beef is really good. Mushroom when available is really good. Mexican corn good too. I’ve had bad luck with the shredded chicken ones. Pepper jack chicken and Chimichurri chicken tonight were basically just pastry. Nothing much inside. Tasted like thick crusty pastry. I wish they looked like the photos.
Richard — Google review
Empanada Mama is such a fun spot! They have so many unique empanada options plus a variety of sauces to go with them. Everything we tried was flavorful and delicious—definitely a place worth visiting if you’re craving something different and tasty.
Kristin — Google review
It pains me to have to rate a one star but after the service I received today, it was only fitting. I placed over a $100 order online to be delivered. When I got the order half of the empanadas I ordered were totally not the flavors I ordered. When I contacted the store, they told me they couldn’t find my order, and had another employee try to find the order. After several minutes, the order was found. I confirmed what I was missing and what I received. I was told by the girl working that they “weren’t sure if I could get a refund”. At that point I requested to speak with a manager. I was then told there was no manager on shift and someone would contact me tomorrow. I don’t understand how this mistake could’ve even happened. As someone who’s worked in customer service and the food business, orders should be checked for quality and to ensure the order is accurate to what was placed. There should also be a manager on shift or on call when issues like this arise. The only reason I placed the order was because the bacon and date was available, which is my favorite. The fact they didn’t give us ANY of the 6 bacon and date ordered, along with other substituted flavors, is very upsetting.
Meg S — Google review
These are the best empanadas ever. The crust was truly amazing. It was a little tricky to find being located in a building behind the actual address. I would definitely recommend searching this place out and will definitely go again when in the area. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well.

Located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Station Taphouse is a sprawling restaurant with an exposed-brick bar featuring rotating taps and an extensive bottle list. It boasts the largest outdoor seating area in the area and offers a kids' menu alongside classic pub grub. The venue is ideal for groups and events, offering attentive service from staff like Sean, Kyle, Andrew, and Chef Sarah.
It’s a true pub with typical pub fare. We did the salmon platter and some burgers. All good. The sides are exceptional: macaroni and cheese, onion rings and sweet potato fries. It’s a huge place and would be great for corporate-type events. Plenty of parking and tables.

We found this great restaurant on our way back from the shore. As soon as I came through the entrance,I knew that the atmosphere was spot on.. they did a great job designing and building this restaurant. All of the tables and the bar were very clean. The food and service were incredible and the happy workers had us feeling very welcome. I had a Philly cheese steak which tasted awesome. The roll was just right and the cheesy steak was seasoned to perfection. There were over 30 beers to choose from, many from local breweries in Pennsylvania. Kyle was our server and his service was great. He was very attentive and kept checking in on us. We will definitely come back if we're ever in Doylestown again!

The manager Kristin and the bartender Sam made our whole experience amazing. We came in with a bachelorette party and they made sure that we were having a good time while providing excellent service. Drinks amazing. Good good, definitely recommending coming here and spending time with friends/family or for an eagles game!

Been awhile since I visited last, probably 2 years. Menu really changed, we ordered the Ashland chicken sandwich and the bone in pork chop entree and it was sooooo good! The staff were very personable, Will, Chris, Natalie and Sean were fantastic, attentive, timely in a good way. We didn't wait when we needed refreshments. Definitely would recommend to my friends, and will return soon.

I had never seen the end of a railroad line, so I was super excited to see that this restaurant sits right at the end of the Doylestown line. There is plenty of parking in the lot, which was also really nice since Doylestown is not known for its parking. We didn't know there would be a brunch menu, so we were pleasantly surprised when we saw that they served brunch until 1:30. I got the eggs benedict, and unfortunately they were out of ham.... However, we substituted it with pork roll and I think it might have been even better than it would have been with the ham!! The hollandaise sauce was absolutely fantastic. The right balance 100% I was totally ready to lick this off my plate. It is served with a side of hash browns which are perfectly cooked, nice and crispy on top, and no undercooked potatoes at all!! The service was fantastic. Our waitress was so nice, came over, got us waters right away, and checked in on us a couple of times. I ordered coffee after the meal and when she dropped the check she made sure we knew there was no rush and to take our time. The interior is absolutely stunning. High ceilings, lots of glass, plenty of seating and the restaurant goes pretty far back. There's also a gorgeous patio if you wanted to sit outside, but since it was 101° out we opted to stay in the air conditioning lol I will absolutely go back to this venue. All the drink prices were reasonable as well, which was surprising being in Doylestown!

We visited this restaurant with a couple of friends after touring a nearby museum. I was quite hungry and excited to dine here, especially given its interesting location. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food, although the service was pleasant and the restaurant itself was appealing. Restaurant Rating: 3/5 Service Rating: 4/5 Food Rating: 2/5 Parking: Free Parking Lot Restaurant: The restaurant is situated in a fascinating location. There’s plenty of seating available, including options in the bar area and outside. Service: Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, which was impressive considering we were a group of ten. She managed the service exceptionally well. Food: We all ordered different dishes as a group, but my girlfriend and I specifically ordered: Blackened Mahi Taco: This dish was disappointing. It was light on flavor, the fish was overcooked, and the tortillas fell apart easily. Poutine Fries: This dish was not good at all. The brisket on top was cold, as if it hadn’t been heated properly. The cheese curds were clearly an afterthought, not even melted properly, and the dish lacked flavor overall. It felt like an insult to traditional poutine dishes from Quebec. When we asked our friends how their food was, the overall feedback was less than impressive. Conclusion: I would not return to this restaurant, as the food was below average. Additionally, it was concerning to see 4-5 staff members taking breaks in the back dining area on the way to the bathroom. It seemed like there was no designated break area for employees, which detracted from the overall experience.
Ming L — Google review
service was good, especially for a busy Friday night. ambiance outside with live music was great. however, the food was basically inedible. we went as a family of 3 and 2 of 3 of our meals had obviously sitting under a heat lamp for awhile - bun was hard as a rock on one of the sandwiches and the meat itself was soggy and cool. tacos were super chewy and the cheese on top was like plastic. our daughter had chicken fingers and they were so over-cooked that she (who is 4) peeled the breading off herself, which has never happened in the history of a child eating chicken fingers, I think. long story short - get snacks maybe, drinks definitely, but have pretty low expectations for the proper food.

Artistic Pizza was a popular pizza spot in Doylestown that offered a variety of gourmet and conventional style pizzas. The food was consistently delicious, with lots of flavor and not all greasy like many other takeout places. The staff was always friendly and efficient, making the restaurant an overall great experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed sometime between 2020 and 2021. If you're looking for some amazing pizza in Doylestown, look no further than Giovannis on State!
Excellent thin crust pizzas. great texture and crunch and flavors and 0 burned parts.... served perfectly as we had hoped. Nice selection of pizzas as well. We came here for a quick bite and were super happy we found Artistic Pizzeria. Will definitely come back.

New to the area and wanted so much to love this place. Sadly, the negative reviews are in fact true. And I can only assume that whatever positive ratings have been posted were done by employees only...no self-respecting mother, aunt or grandmother would allow this to be served or eaten. This was the sorriest gluten free pizza I have ever been charged for. Sure I asked for it well done. How do you manage to burn the edges but leave the center uncooked? And for the love of God...extra sauce? Does that mean you put no sauce under the cheese, and slop 6 scoops of tasteless red puree on a half uncooked pizza? And I have to mention: the corn syrup based blue cheese is insulting for you to serve and charge extra for. I have to stop. This place is disgusting. I'm so offended. 😞

Really good pizza. Nice selection for the veggie and meat eaters. Love the garlic knots. Small seating area, but it's no deal breaker. Haven't tried ordering for delivery so I'm not sure how they are with that service. They accept credit cards for purchases over $10 dollars.

Found this pizza place walking around in town with my family and it’s an awesome find! Staff was super friendly and took the time to cut my children’s pizza into smaller pieces without me even asking. The owners are very friendly and they have always make the accommodations that my family and I have needed ! The cherry on the top is how fast deliveries are too.

This is my favorite place in Doylestown for pizza. Many places the crust is just a carrier for the sauce and cheese but here I actually look forward to eating the crust itself. The crust on the standard pizza is thin and crispy, they don't get carried away with the cheese, and you don't have oil dripping off it. My son tried their penne with tomato sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it. I tried the Italian sub, which was good, but is not their strong suit. The owner is almost always there and is very friendly. I'd recommend them wholeheartedly.

I went to all the pizza places in town and this is by far the best. The people here are so very nice!!! The service was amazing and super fast. The food was incredible, there was so much flavor and it wasn’t all greasy like the other places. And on top of all of that it was really clean.

As far as pizza goes, you can't go wrong with Artistic. Definitely one of the higher quality pizza places in the area, they offer a variety of pizzas and American cuisine at reasonable, but not cheap, prices. They're also on GrubHub and have been generally reliable with order accuracy and timing. Definitely worth a visit!

Bacco Bistro, situated in the Doylestown Shopping Center, has been serving thin-crust pizzas, sandwiches, and calzones in a relaxed neighborhood setting for more than a decade. Patrons rave about the superb service provided at this Italian eatery. Their menu boasts delectable options including cheesesteaks and 'The Original' pizza. While some customers found the bread slightly soggy (hence a 4-star rating), it did not overshadow the overall deliciousness of their meal.
We’re from out of town but decided to try this place because we like byobs and pizza and the prices were right. And we had a great experience. We were greeted with smiles as we walked in (which goes a long way). And our server, Jacques, was friendly and super accommodating even when my boyfriend’s margarita pizza was not what he expected. Jacques offered to make him a new one and suggested the Brooklyn pizza was more of a standard type margarita. And he was right. My boyfriend loved it. They did not rush us to turn the table. And we were able to finish our salads before the pizzas came. I had a meat lovers pizza and that was good as well. We will definitely be back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bacco Bistro and I cannot say enough great things about my experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. Our server, Carmen, was absolutely fantastic—warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend trying pasta alavodka and you have to try the pizza....and the calamari....and the salmon. Don't forget the canoli!🤗 This was the perfect choice for my son's rehearsal dinner. The entire team made it a night to remember, and I couldn't have asked for a better setting for such a special occasion. Highly recommend! We also loved the serenade from Dean Garafalo. He's a great entertainer!

Heard and passed this place many times and last Wednesday was my first time trying it out. Ordered from online for pick up. Had no problem on pick up experience. I ordered “your own” Stromboli. From the website they only allowing from 1-3 toppings. I wish they have anything to add more than 3 toppings even tho I will pay for the extra. Also I didn’t see option for salami. I wanted to make like Italian sandwich. So I picked the toppings what I can. The onions was cuts in big sizes, I don’t know but with thinly julienne cuts will be much better so I don’t see big chunks of onions that just my opinions. And I ordered linguini carbonara for my son, the bacon on top was a nice touch. I made a small plate for myself and for some reason it was kind of heavy for my stomach. I had carbonara at Barn Plaza and I didn’t have a problem like this one but at least my teenage son he said he likes it.

Bacco Bistro is now a wonderful combination of local pizza shop and an upscale feeling dining atmosphere. The new addition for group events has a high end, classy vibe. Today we had the Quatro Pizza, antipasto salad, ceasar salad and a brisket sandwich called *The Badda Bing." We have been here many times over the years and have always enjoyed the good and friendly service. We have not tried all of the different pizzas, but we are working on it with enthusiastic anticipation. This place remains on our recommended list.

We had the pleasure of celebrating our sons’ graduation at Bacco Bisto’s recently opened party space and everything was absolutely amazing. Carmen and Tristan provided exceptional service with the personal touch that made this event exceptional for all our guests. The food was amazing and plentiful and everyone left raving about their meals and with leftovers that the team packaged up with care. This is one of my family’s favorite spots in Doylestown and we are so happy to have had such a memorable event made even more special by Bacco Bistro.

Bacco Bistro In Doylestown has a beautiful banquet space The Cristallo Room and it is wonderful. I was lucky enough to have my birthday dinner with 36 guests there. The food was delicious and exceptionally fresh and hot for buffet service. The tables were set beautifully and the staff accommodated us with convenient spaces for our BYOB bar, with ice buckets for chilling wine and many glasses. The staff are so friendly and they made the night effortless for us. The desserts were delicious too! Planning was easy with one visit and one phone call. Have your next event there. You won’t regret it.

Always delicious food and exceptional service. Carmen and Jacques always go above and beyond and it is clear the manager cares about customers and his team.

Came in with a toddler. Were Sat near the washroom. There were several other tables open. Probably this one for some reason, don't know. No bread served. Until asked. Then served stale bread. How do we know it's stale: smelled rancid. No water refill throughout the stay, except once. Pizza was sad. Very bad. Soggy undercarriage, sauce on the top skimped, and missed salt all across. I have had some really good pizzas from here however this experience was nothing but worst. Will not visit again. Probably a take out but never dining in. White table cloths don't make a restaurant fine dining, or classy, the care for their patrons does so. Particular note regarding the waitress serving us: this was a tall lady who conversed only in 'cool' 'eh' and 'shuree'. A word for the perhaps who we think was the owner: cheerful attitude, welcoming attempts, please get the staff on the same wagon.

Nestled in the charming town of Doylestown, Rakkii Ramen is a delightful culinary escape that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its modern decor and friendly staff, this hidden gem creates a welcoming atmosphere that instantly transports you to another world. The presentation of each dish is simply stunning, making it hard not to drool before even taking a bite!
Stopped in for lunch and had a great time. The girl serving was very nice and helpful. Not a soup guy so I got the Beef rice bowl and it was super good, especially the beef. My girlfriend got the tan tan and liked it a lot. Also just a nice vibe.

Julia was our waitress and she was nice and friendly. We like the atmosphere of this place. Menu sort of small. I felt like to eat ramen so I told my husband I wanted to eat at Rakkii and he wasn’t really agree with my idea because he has no clue what to eat in here so I saw they have rice bowl with chicken teriyaki (on the website) so when he heard me saying that then he was ok with it. But when we arrived sat on the table looked the menu we can’t find the teriyaki chicken bowl we asked Julia she said they no longer have that menu which I was feel kinda bad for my husband he even more confused what to order 🥺 (hope you guys consider to update the menu on the website so people know before they actually arrive) So he picked sukiyaki rice bowl (I think that was the name of the dish- the protein on the bowl was beef) And of course I had my ramen (chicken shoyu ramen). The price in this place a bit pricey for me for the portions they served (just in my opinion).

Love this place! Cute atmosphere, the staff is awesome, and it’s kid friendly!! The food tasted delicious, especially the Bao Buns 🤤 My daughter loved it there and thought she was cool eating with the spoon. We also had their House Tea (fresh lemon green tea) it was so refreshing! I’ll definitely be going back 🙂

Service was really friendly and food was amazing. We sat at the bar in front of the kitchen and they were all non stop. Being able to SEE the tickets and how fast they were moving we were fine waiting a little bit longer. I think people forget they aren't the only ones in a restaurant when they can't see what's going on. The girl running food deserves kudos as well she was moving bowls as fast as possible.

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday so it was empty for a good portion of my stay. The service was a bit slow given that, but not so much that it was a glaring issue, and overshadowed by the friendliness of the staff. I got pork gyoza as an appetizer, which was good but maybe a bit overpriced; on that note, while I didn't order any, the drinks seemed very expensive. I got (I think, since the online menu doesn't seem to have it as an item) the Spicy TanTan, which I enjoyed a lot. This was my first time trying ramen and I was very satisfied with both the portion size and flavors. Even the stuff in the bowl I wasn't sure about was great in the broth, and I finished the whole thing. The price was a bit expensive, but less egregious given that it had beef and was clearly made with higher quality ingredients. My meal total was $30 for a single person. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice with subtle decor and good lighting choices. The tables have neat little phone slots to protect your phone while you're eating (if it isn't in your pocket). There's a mix of tables for parties of varying sizes, through the area did look a bit crowded even without the tables full. Overall I had a great experience, would go again, would want to go with another person to make the appetizer price slightly more bearable. Would probably be a good spot for dinner before/after a date given it's proximity to the town center and more specifically, the movie theater.

If I could rate higher than five stars, I would! 💛💛This was my second time here and I honestly cannot wait to come back! The presentation of the dishes alone is enough to make your mouth water. The waitresses were very nice, and the food itself was AMAZING. Again, this is the second time I've been in and I have not stopped talking about it. Just entering the building makes you feel like you've been transported to a new world. It's a very welcoming environment and the selection of flavors is very refreshing. The Matcha latte is to die for, and Narutomaki is my favorite part of Ramen noodles and I have been so happy to see it! The slats for your phone is a genius idea, I haven't stopped talking about that with people I know, either. 🧡💛 I will most definitely be returning, and I have been recommending this place to everyone I know. 🧡🧡🍜🍜

Shoyu ramen came out to be the best soup flavor here, Tonkotsu and spicy tan tan weren’t as good comparing all 3 flavors. Shoyu for some reason seemed more like Tonkotsu with creamy broth. Takoyaki was pricey for 4 pieces and not really worth it for $9, most places give more. Tuna sushi bowl was decent. Drinks were refreshing and surprisingly good. Iced Rose oolong was less sweet but good to start off with a hint of tea, but once you try other drinks it will be flavorless. Fresh lemon lime green tea was good and refreshing. Strawberry slush was sweeter but still refreshing. Brown sugar bubble milk tea was decent too. Service was a bit slow, expect to wait about 10 minutes+ for your noodle soup. Overall more like 3.5 stars and rounding it up since it’s a cute spot.

I’m writing this review while still seated at the table after eating. I’m currently waiting for another bowl of ramen to go. Because this was Hands Down THE GREATEST new dining experience for me in quite a few years. Everything from the atmosphere, the presentation, to the most important part the taste. If you could give more then 5 stars I would. I found them because of the Instagram add they were running, and I’m glad I did. A+++

Vela, a restaurant located on Veterans Lane in Doylestown, opened its doors in 2018 and eagerly joined the vibrant community at the heart of Bucks County. Situated in a region teeming with historical gems, natural charm, and a spirit of collaboration, Vela firmly believes that the most enjoyable experiences are those shared with loved ones while relishing delectable cuisine and beverages served with genuine warmth. Recently visited this establishment and was impressed by its expansive and visually pleasing ambiance.
I'll keep this simple. My wife and I have been coming here weekly for three years and will sum it up in one word that you know what is hard to find in a restaurant... consistent. The food is always on point, and MJ behind the bar is always a pleasure after a long week. What a great place! Needless to say, see you next week!

Not bad, but no compelling reason to try this place again any time soon. Large, modern dining room and outdoor seating. Plenty of room and high ceilings. Most comfortable chairs. Bread was fresh and warm, but not abundant and not refilled; really just enough for one person. Bread is better than Paradiso, but not as good as La Voglia. The olive oil served with the bread was excellent – strong flavored, the best I’ve had at any Bucks county Italian restaurant. Burrata and heirloom tomato appetizer was pretty good, as was the Mesclun salad, though the latter maybe could have used more salt. We ordered bucatini as our pasta course. Menu says “Tomato, Guanciale, Herbs, Sheep Milk Cheese”. What we received was not what I expected from the description. It was pasta with a very rich and delicious, though somewhat oily tomato based sauce. Sadly, the pasta was very overcooked. The dish was topped with a nice large strip of fried pork that I would have guessed was pork belly rather than guanciale, though it was tasty. I would have loved some more bread for the leftover sauce, but our empty bread basket was not refilled. Main courses were branzino over escarole, and chicken with mashed potatoes. Portions are small enough to justify getting a pasta dish before the main dish. Both dishes were fine, but not memorable. The branzino would have benefitted from a larger portion of escarole. Service is slow. Waitstaff was professional, if not particularly enthusiastic and friendly. Bottleneck appears to be the kitchen. We did not order dessert because we had already been there over 90 minutes by the time our dinner was complete.

Cool atmosphere and great menu. We were seated in the back party room which is why I think our service was so incredibly slow. We weren't in a hurry but 2.25 hours is a looooong dinner. Place wasn't even full so there is no excuse for the slow service. Octopus was delicious and so was the striped bass with really good crispy skin. And the garlic infused olive oil that finally came out with our bread was really really good. I had the Bucks County Mule which was also good and my partner had the Blueberry Crisp for dessert which he very quicky devoured. They were pretty good with my dairy allergy but my sorbet came out with a biscotti that I'm sure wasnt dairy free. We'll be back and give them another try.

Where do I even begin? This was one of the absolute WORST dining experiences I have ever had. We made reservations ahead of time since we had a larger party of 12. For that size group, we received two measly bread baskets and two glass bottles of water for refills. When the water was depleted, there was no effort from the wait staff to bring more water. When more bread was offered, we accepted, but it never showed up. Then came the appetizers. They were mediocre AT BEST and took forever to be delivered. The wait between the appetizers and the entrees was ridiculously long to the point where we were wondering if they forgot about us. To really make matters worse, the entrees started rolling out, ONE AT A TIME. For a party of 12, for the entrees to come out slowly one by one is unacceptable. Some people's food either got cold or was practically finished by the time the final entrees were served. Someone requested a second cocktail. It was never brought. The entrees themselves were not great. Some people enjoyed their dishes more than others. The halibut special had next to no flavor. For dessert, we had brought a cake since we were celebrating a birthday. Between the main course and dessert, we, again, had to wait an unacceptable amount of time. The cake was then hacked into, not cut normally, the slices were the size of an index card (and that's being generous). Then we had to flag the waiter down to request the check. We also had to flag them down so they could take our payment and we could get out of there after 2 and a half hours. Words can't even do it justice how terrible the experience was. By the end of the meal, we began laughing at how ridiculous and unbelievable it was. Do not come here unless you want to have subpar food, heinous service and a painfully slow meal. Would NOT recommend to anyone, especially not for the price.

Our first time there! We sat at the bar on a Saturday night! The place was superpacked! Christian, our bartender was the best! The best! So attentive and service was on point! And even though it was extremely busy he still found time to chat up these new customers! We'll be back soon!

Finally got to try this place! It was a very spacious and beautiful restaurant with great ambiance! Their Octopus and Barrata from the starters menu were fantastic and the rigatoni was delicious. The highlight of the night was the dessert of course, (we even forgot to take the picture!) the vanilla ice cream with peach was to die for. 😋 The customer service was amazing and my friends and I had a wonderful evening here. I highly recommend this place!

The food here is FABULOUS! The interior is well decorated and there is a good vibe when you walk in. The people are very friendly, all in all its a great meal. The prices are consistent with the level of quality you receive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely want to support this restaurant. I dropped a star on service because of an incident we had when seated outside. Our waiter basically forgot about us. One of the other waiters ended up serving us and the Owner was kind enough to comp some of the meal. This one incident didn't prevent us from coming back many times and this has not been an issue since. This is in a small shopping center so there is typically plenty of parking. They have a full bar but they do offer "cork service" for $20.

Kids Castle Central Park is a sprawling 108-acre area filled with trails, athletic facilities, and open space. One of its main attractions is a unique, castle-style playscape that offers a truly enjoyable experience for children. The playground itself features spongy flooring for comfort and wood chips surrounding the castle structure. With plenty of engaging activities available, Kids Castle Central Park provides endless entertainment opportunities. However, there are some drawbacks to consider.
<First time> If you're looking for a fantastic spot to take the kids Kids Castle Central Park is a must-visit. This enchanting playground offers a unique and imaginative play experience with its castle-themed structure, complete with castle, slides, and climbing walls that ignite children's creativity. The design of the playground ensures that kids of all ages can find something to enjoy, from the smaller climbing features for toddlers to big and tall slides for kids up to 12 years of age to enjoy the fun. The location has many picnic tables and a shaded area for you to throw a group party. The area is well-maintained and features plenty of seating for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their little ones. Plus, the surrounding green space allows for additional outdoor activities.

It’s a huge play park and the design is unique. Just that limited way for sunlight to enter the castle may scare kids while playing. They have separate tiny play zone for infants, that is also cute. Kids will love it for sure! And nice one to take few pics!! 😊

Beautiful, spacious park with many areas of picnic tables and walking trails. The wooden play castle is many stories high with multiple slides to exit with after climbing to the top. A great place to pack a picnic lunch and decompress.

Kids Castle is such a great place for kids! The area is spacious and super clean—there’s no trash at all. What makes it unique is the playground itself, which is shaped like a castle. Children can climb inside, explore, and enjoy the slides. It feels quite safe too, since there’s only one entrance and exit. For parents or visitors, it’s also a nice spot to jog, walk, or do some light exercise because there are plenty of trees around, giving it a refreshing atmosphere. The best part is that it’s free to visit. Kids as young as one year old (as long as they can walk) can already enjoy playing here. A fun, safe, and unique spot for families!

Very nice playground! Also, the sign on the bulletin board was so useful. I think many parks should consider adopting this type of sign that shows the schedule in the park.

Amazing castle playground for ages 2-12. There are different playground areas for different ages. 2 toddler swings and 4 regular swings. Lots of slides. Playground is fenced so you don’t have to worry about the kids escaping. Lots of benches for the adults to sit on as well. Some shade but not a lot. Bathrooms are not close by, but they are building some new ones now that are nearby.

Very nice park with adventurous playground. Great for ALL children and parents if you like to play as well. Get lost in the castle and slide through the castle with the indoor slides. So much fun! Can't wait to take the grands again.

After seeing this park on my feed for a few months, I finally decided to take the 50 minute drive with my two little ones on Labor Day weekend! Parking is huge and it was almost full. There was a lot of people and hundreds of kids running around: it was kind of overwhelming with two little kids by myself. There are different playing areas within the fenced playground. The huge castle is recommended for kids 5 and older and is a bit intimidating and dark at first. Overall, my kids loved it and we will probably go once I a while for them to enjoy it!

The Michener Art Museum, located in Bucks County, is a non-profit institution that showcases an impressive collection of Pennsylvania Impressionist works by artists such as Edward Redfield and Daniel Garber. The museum also features a beautiful sculpture garden and a tranquil room designed by local furniture maker George Nakashima. Originally the Bucks County Prison, the building was transformed into a world-class museum in 1988. Named after Pulitzer Prize winner James A.
Took a solo trip to this museum for the first time, it was easy to find, plenty of parking space, it took me a good 2 hours to explore it, the museum staff were really friendly and helpful, the gift shop was small however, they have a small space for little kids. I didn’t purchase tickets in advance, and there was no line on a Friday morning. I certainly wouldn’t suggest taking children there, but its a great space for older kids and adults to explore . Overall I really enjoyed my time !

There are many intriguing pieces by local/area artists in this one-level museum, including stained glass, paintings and sculptures. A guide to the different functional-art designed benches throughout the museum was a nice and unique addition. There is a kids‘ play area with books, puzzles, magnetic tiles and some different activities towards the back of the museum in an alcove between gallery rooms. They do free admission on the 2nd Sundays of each month. The sculpture garden out back is also worth a walkthrough.

Our family was incredibly impressed by the museum! From the entrance, through all the collections, to the final note - the courtyard with sculptures with aromatic coffee. The foyer with souvenirs was no less impressive than the exhibits of the museum. We encountered a lot of real art there. I will not single out something and tell you about it, because I am absolutely sure that you need to see it with your own eyes. But I can say that I found something absolutely incredible and amazing for myself! And I am glad that I live at the same time as such wonderful artists!

When trying to decide on a wedding venue, my wife and I actually saw the Michener Museum first. We were floored by the large windows, loved the unique museum feel, and found it to be the perfect size for a small-ish wedding. Mixed with its walkability to the rest of Doylestown, it became a no-brainer. The day-of was even better. The food was excellent, the venue was beautiful, and it even worked comfortably for our wedding count of 85. Thank you, Michener Museum (& Kelly), for the most magical evening of our lives. We’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Lots of Impressionist paintings if you like that sorta stuff. Great area to relax in downstairs for those who get overwhelmed which had books, headphones and fidget toys. As an autistic person I appreciated this, however I went around the time the museum was closing so it wasn’t too loud. Cool historical stuff of Micheners too. I really enjoyed my time here and the Keith Haring stuff in the gift shop.

Located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the Mercer Museum is a captivating destination for history enthusiasts. Operated by the Bucks County Historical Society, this six-story concrete castle showcases over 17,000 pre-Industrial tools and various domestic equipment used in early American life. The museum offers self-guided tours where visitors can explore nooks and crannies filled with intriguing displays of hornsmithing tools, weathervanes, animal-powered treadmills, and even a whaleboat suspended from the ceiling.
This was a very cool museum featuring all sort of tools and objects used in all the various trades that were common in the 1800's and early 1900's. They are collected more like an archeologist would collect items, numbered with white paint and collected by trade across six floors in a single extremely large room. The collections surround the center atrium of the room where many of the larger objects (stagecoach, boat, etc.) are suspended. The building itself is made nearly entirely of poured concrete, just like Mercer's castle (another great spot to visit). Definitely worth a few hours of browsing.

I was captivated by the exterior of Mercer Museum, and stepping inside was a must! The real treat was being able to explore almost the entirety of the building, immersing myself in Mercer's extraordinary collection. His vision was truly unique. It's an experience that defies description; you simply have to see it for yourself to appreciate its wonder.

Not quite what I expected, but it was an enjoyable self guided tour. The location is in a beautiful section of town. The building is quite majestic from the outside as you approach. The inside is more of a museum of past tools that were common trades in the day, wagons and heating stoves. There is even an old vertical saw from an old mill inside. The only 2 issues I had was the inventory numbers on just about every item ( as it seems ) that take away from its historical reminiscent value. The other issue is had was that there was nowhere near enough signs that tell you about interesting items that you are looking at. And those signs are not necessarily at the items. Overall it was a nice experience and worth the ticket price for the 2 of us.
Kyle S — Google review
This museum deserves more public attention and the 20 dollars admission fee totally worth it. The collection displays how people a century ago live and prosperate and reminds us how rapidly the technology evolves. 1.5 to 2 hours is needed and simply allowed to walked through all the windows.

This place is unbelievable! So much to explore, look at and read about. The building alone is so interesting. Very informative staff throughout. Don't miss the library. It is gorgeous. Easy to spend hours here! Well worth the visit.

If you are into history and have an afternoon spare, Mercer museum is the spot for you. It has a very good collection of items that showcase the day-to-day life of early Pennsylvanians. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is the price. At $20 a ticket, it's a bit steep, but not overly so. I was still pretty shocked though when we were told the $40 entrance fee for two of us, but that's inflation for you.

What an incredible tour! The castle is a masterpiece on its own, and the collections inside are unlike anything we’ve ever seen. My husband and I loved exploring it at our own pace - absolutely worth the visit.
Mrs P — Google review
The Mercer Museum offers one of the most unusual and fascinating permanent collections I have ever encountered. Henry Mercer’s vision to preserve everyday tools, vehicles, and cultural artifacts from pre-industrial America is realized here in a striking six-story concrete castle where objects dangle from the walls, ceilings, and beams in dramatic displays. What stands out immediately is the sheer variety—farming implements, trade figures, fire engines, buggies, boats, and lighting devices—all suspended in a cathedral-like space. Each object is not just an artifact but a story of ingenuity and survival. For instance, the early 19th-century fanning mill demonstrates how communities separated grain from chaff, while the mid-19th-century buggy showcases craftsmanship in wood and leather that once made horse-drawn transport both practical and elegant. The fire engine manufactured in 1847 reflects the transition from bucket brigades to organized firefighting, a testament to Philadelphia’s early leadership in fire apparatus innovation. Equally captivating are the whimsical trade figures—like “Mr. Punch” from the Punch and Judy shows—that once lured customers into cigar shops. They embody the charm of popular culture and commercial artistry of the 19th century. Lighting technology is another highlight: from the crusie lamps of Scotland to the Betty lamps and Roman-inspired oil lamps, the collection illustrates how people brought light into their homes long before electricity. These small yet ingenious devices reveal the evolution of domestic life. Perhaps most impressive is the immersive presentation itself. Boats and carriages hover high above, giant wheels and tools flank the walls, and everywhere one turns there is a reminder of the inventiveness of everyday life before industrial mass production. The arrangement may feel overwhelming at first, but it underscores Mercer’s mission: to preserve not just great works of art, but the humble tools and crafts that shaped daily existence. Overall, the Mercer Museum’s permanent collection is more than a display of objects—it is a journey back in time that celebrates human creativity, practicality, and resilience. It is a place where one can truly see how history was lived on the ground, in the barns, shops, kitchens, and streets of America.

The restaurant emphasizes the use of organic ingredients from local farms, with a special focus on creating healthy and delicious pizzas. Their signature crispy thin crust is made using Hi Gluten flour, and they offer gluten-free crust options as well.
Love coming out here with my children! It’s a treat for them to come out here I love their mushroom medley, my son gets the plain cheese and margherita I’ve tried almost all of their pizza. They do have gluten free pizza

Perfect spot for a quick snack! They have plenty of meat and vegetarian options. I tried the cheese, mediterranean, and pesto pizzas - each one was delicious, but if I had to pick a favorite, the mediterranean stood out the most. Quick service, fresh ingredients, and free water available. I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm in Doylestown! 😋🍕

They have gluten-free and non dairy options. So good!!!

Fun and quaint place. Don't come here for normal pizza, come here for a chill atmosphere with good innovative adoptions of pizza. Little pricey surprisingly filling. Wish more salad options. Definitely would come again.

Located next to a busy road the closest parking we could get to easiest was on the other side and we had to pay, 25¢ per 30 min. Restaurant was very clean and boasted of offering local ingredients and baked goods. Lots of variety of pizzas and salads. Pizza was ok ( Brooklyn and cheese) but perhaps I should have chosen a different type. Enjoyed the beautiful outdoor seating with flowers. Complimentary water is provided. $18 for two personal pizzas

Very frustrating experience as someone who has been visiting Jules weekly for over a year. The service is very unaccommodating when they have limited options. In this situation they had no custom slices or plain slices to add toppings left. That wasn't the problem, we were willing to order full pizzas instead given the situation. We offered to over pay for a custom small pizza for my children who have very different tastes (which is why we go there in the first place to order different slices). One half with one topping the other half with a different one. They refused. It was a simple ask and yet they were unwilling. We wouldn't have asked for this accommodation if there were plain slices available. Disappointed in a place we so adored going to.
Gretchen B — Google review
It was crowded when you arrived during a big festival in town. The staff moved the line along and the pizza was tasty as always and reasonably priced. Always enjoy our visits to Jules.

Love this thin crust pizza shop in Doylestown. They have a wide variety of tasty slices, some more traditional (plain cheese, margherita) and others a bit more adventurous (i.e., zucchini with poblano sauce and street taco corn). This is a great, fast option that is both kid friendly and delicious.

Applebee's Grill + Bar is a full-service chain restaurant that offers satisfying American cuisine in a casual atmosphere. They serve an array of delicious appetizers, including mozzarella sticks and wonton tacos, although the latter wasn't enjoyed by some patrons. However, the standout aspect of this establishment is their excellent customer service highlighted by server Monica's exceptional attentiveness and willingness to accommodate customers' needs.
I got appetizers here, and I enjoyed the mozzarella sticks, although I didn't really like the wonton tacos. But I think that the customer service was really the highlight of my visit, my server, Monica, was really nice and willing to accommodate for my needs. Overall, a pretty good experience.

Our server Monica was exceptional. She was very welcoming and kind and catered to our every need. The food was great, however I wish we could’ve eaten our cheese balls

My family goes to Applebees often. Our kids love it and we've always had a good experience. To say not all Applebees are created equal is an understatement for this one unfortunately. The restaurant wasn't busy by any means but for some reason the service was very slow. We're not ones to complain as many things can cause that. We waited patently and were ready to order our food by the time the waitress came to grab our drink order. The food was very sporadic coming our and unfortionately all of the deep fried food was visibly burned/overcooked and the pasta (my wifes favorite go to dish everytime) was really gross. It was almost like the noodles soaked up a ton of water, the sauce was a week old and the cheese at one point was left open in a freezer. Not to mention the bread they served it with was also burnt. We voiced our concerns and the waitress immediately said she would send a manager over. Another 10 minutes or so and the manager walked up. He didn't ask what the problem was, he didn't seek to here the feed back to properly coach the kitchen nor did he apologize. He simply said, I removed those items. Here's a coupon for an appetizer. I dont EVER go out of my way to write bad reviews I just cant not voice the experience. Lastly, as a waitress you seek higher table averages to increase your tip. We always tip 30 to 60% considering the wage for waitresses in PA. Our cups sat empty for 3/4 of the time, our food burnt and over an hour of time wasted. Only Applebees I've been to where you open your own door. Hope others have a better experience. We'll stick to the Quakerstown Applebess or Fridays going forward.
Matt R — Google review
Came to Applebee's on a Friday night. Have not been to this restaurant in a very long time because of the awful experience the last time we came and because every time we come here we wait forever for service and to get our drinks and food. We decided to give it another chance because my son wanted the nachos. Nothing has changed. Took forever for a waitress then I did not get my sweetener as asked nor did my son get his sour cream or salsa as requested. Also did not get a spoon for my soup. On top of that the food took almost 40 minutes to come out. There were hardly any customers so we couldn't understand that. Needless to say this is definitely the last time we'll come.
Kristina G — Google review
Went there for dinner lastnight for the first time in almost 14 years. Took my family there and waited about 30 minutes to finally be asked what I would like to drink. The waiter Lisa seemed like she hated her job, didn’t introduce herself at all and was very cold and short replies when asking questions. I would have understood if they were extremely busy but there was only 3 filled tables on my side. The food was pretty good but it the long run the service has to be atleast ok for the experience to be enjoyable. On top of all the negative experience, once we got home my son and myself were extremely sick to our stomach after having the spinach dip. Definitely not worth the almost $70…
Joseph S — Google review
We shared a large appetizer of several items. The two of us both drank iced tea, and our server was very good about offering us refills. Besides being very pleasant, she also cleared away our plates when we finished eating. This is an important part of any restaurant experience as far as I'm concerned.
Meg P — Google review
Applebee's is a chain and the food is always consistent. But the staff isn't always consistent from location to location. If I lived closer then 2 hours for this location I would come here over and over again. Our server was Anna H. We came in a little late, came into town for a graduation. Had my 5 year old and 6 adults with us. My 5 year old was tired from a long day of traveling and wasn't having any part in going out to eat. He was crying and yelling, we felt horrible. Thankfully it was late so the restaurant wasn't packed. But our server let me tell you. I wish all servers had the patients and understanding like she did. She didn't talk to him much she left him to himself, but she brought him an apple juice (without being asked), brought him gummy sharks, and French fries(without being asked). All of these things helped him perk up and we ended up having a very pleasant meal. She also told him towards the end that she was so proud of him for how he turned himself around. I honestly wanted to cry because most people don't and wouldn't take the time out to do things like this. If you see this Anna H, you are truly amazing and we thank you for everything you did for us and our little boy tonight!

Fonthill Castle, located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, is a former mansion known for its eclectic architectural styles and rich history. Built between 1908-1912 by Henry Chapman Mercer, the castle was designed to showcase his extensive collection of Moravian Tiles from the American Arts & Crafts Movement. The castle features forty-four rooms, over two hundred windows, and eighteen fireplaces.
This castle is absolutely fascinating. The massive amount of beautiful tile work and the design of the place makes this a really cool place to visit. Mercer designed his castle to resemble European castles and I definitely felt like I was in an old castle in Germany. The tour guide was very informative and gave us a lot of background and history on the castle and the Mercer family.

Cool place and definitely worth a visit. Left immediately wanting to research Mr. Mercer to learn more. Tour guide Claire was aces, really bringing color to the story, especially around the staff stories and eccentricity of it all. Four stars only because I would have loved more time inside, but with tours departing every 10 minutes, that was impossible as the next group was staggered right behind. A quick trip down to the Tile Works was fun too-loved the grounds.

What a fascinating person, Henry Chapman Mercer was. Our Docents, Nancy and Blake were fantastic and thorough. They delivered a great tour and made learning about the castle history exciting. A fire proof concrete structure with narrow stairs and a uniqueness all its own. You will be captivated with how creative and intriguing Henry was. Definitely eccentric lifestyle. The Fonthill Castle is a pure expression of who Henry was and what his mind was like.

We had only planned on going to the Mercer Museum and not Fonthill Castle. Very glad we decided to do both! Fonthill Castle is fascinating. Can only be visited by tour and well worth it. The story behind the man and the building has to be seen to believe. Nooks, crannies, narrow staircases. Not to mention the tile work!!

The castle itself is pretty amazing and well worth the tour. Our tour guide (you can only go into Fonthill on a tour) was very informative. The price was $20 adult / $10 student. The tour lasts about an hour. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

Fonthill Castle is a hidden gem in Doylestown, NY. I recommend paying for the behind the scenes tour of Mr. Mercer's Foothill Castle. You will learn so much about this amazing place and this interesting man. Be prepared to be astonished and mesmerized by the architecture and designs of the Fonthill Castle.

Fonthill Castle is truly a hidden gem nestled in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Built by Henry Chapman Mercer in the early 1900s, this enchanting concrete mansion feels like stepping into a fairytale. Each room tells its own story, adorned with intricate handcrafted tiles and a blend of Gothic, Medieval, and Byzantine influences. The details are breathtaking—from the winding staircases and hidden passageways to the stunning ceilings and Mercer’s world-renowned tilework. The castle not only showcases Mercer’s artistic vision but also reflects his adventurous spirit and love for history, art, and innovation. The guided tours are well-structured and incredibly informative, making you appreciate the craftsmanship and unique philosophy behind every corner. The surrounding grounds are equally beautiful, offering a peaceful atmosphere perfect for walking and photography. It’s a place where history, architecture, and artistry come together seamlessly. Whether you’re a lover of architecture, history, or simply unique destinations, Fonthill Castle is an absolute must-visit. It leaves you with a sense of wonder and admiration for Mercer’s genius and passion.

Specialty Museums
Located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works Museum is a Spanish Mission-style factory that was built by Henry C. Mercer in 1910-12. Designated as a National Historic Landmark, it now operates as a working history museum under the administration of the Bucks County Parks and Recreation Department.
My partner and I love to explore pa and we came across this as top location in the area. And I marked it for another time. We wanted to take his mom on little day trip to celebrate an event and I brought this up both were skeptical about what they would see here but was game. We pulled up to the building from the side of building to park. Not at the first lot go little further and you'll find small side lot to park. And just instantly stand in the wonder of the place. Reminded me of something from old zorro film or something. The architecture was amazing. As went in we were greeted by someone by the counter and they let us look around until our tour was ready in gift shop. The gift shop is beautiful laid out with many beautiful tile work that was prices well and most made on the premises that I know of. We were than allowed to go into the start of the tour in this beautiful room with a center piece of a fire place and beautiful tools of the past all over the walls and of course title. The fire was a blazing behind us on the chilly windy day as we watched the short video. Which really helped to give lot of interesting about mercer and how far his reach was in the area. And how many attractions in that area is connected to him. I won't spoil anything but worth a watch. Than from there it was a self guided tour. With tiles telling you which way to go with arrows. Now not sure how many people will have the same experience we did but there wasn't large amount of people and we were able to just explore. And that is the real wonder of the place to just feel like your exploring. And yes there are some items are behind glass cases many things aren't. And many things are still being used by artists now on smaller scale. It made feel like I was at living history event. You could explore at your own. So it was like exploring factor back in the day. The balcony was one the highlights to stand out and look at the court yard and look up all the chimneys. There is one I tried to get a picture of that was beautifully titled. Definitely keep an eye out on it. I thought it was also neat you could go in basement to see where they stored the clay and more. It was spooky but was fun. Than as you go further you get to see different artist projects and see them in action. They were very kind and very helpful.in answering questions. Overall all I would have to say this was the high light of the day for sure. Exploring history is always fun but self guided side of the tour made you really feel like you were sneaking around to see the behind scenes in this old tile factory. And I really don't think you'll see everything on one go there so many small titles and interrogate work put in the building it's like look for Easter eggs. We went into this place not sure how it would be but would definitely suggest this to anyone that enjoys architecture, art tiles, local history, and exploring. I think you can definitely gain a prospective into mercer life by looking at this place and other attractions in area. Check it out yourself. I feel like adults would appreciate this more than young children may.

Really glad I made the trip to the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works Museum—definitely recommend visiting at least once, whether you're a local or just passing through Bucks County. There's a lot of fascinating craftsmanship here, and it’s one of those places where you get a real sense of history and art coming together. Buy tickets in advance. Not only does it make entry easier, but they can sometimes sell out, especially on weekends. Getting there can be a little tricky if you're using GPS—when you see the first castle-looking structure, keep going; the museum is just beyond that. The visit starts in a main room where you're shown a short video about Henry Mercer and the tile-making tradition. From there, you’re free to tour the space at your own pace. In several rooms, artisans demonstrate how the tiles are made... many still using local Bucks County clay, just like in Mercer's time. You’ll see examples of Mercer’s tiles that were used in places like Fonthill Castle (his former home), and the artistry is truly impressive. I easily spent an hour and a half here just soaking it all in. There’s also a lovely little gift shop with handmade tiles made in the museum. I was especially hoping to find a pineapple tile or bowl—would’ve been perfect for a housewarming gift; alas, no luck this time. Still, lots of beautiful designs to choose from. A charming, informative, and beautifully preserved piece of local history.

I didn’t realize that what I was seeing as we drove up was our destination. It was of course visually unique, but I also felt an immediate familiarity about the place. Once we listened to the introductory film I immediately knew what it was. Henry Mercer was well traveled, one of the places he took his inspiration for his castle from was the missions he visited in California. I am from CA and subconsciously recognized that. It was a fun realization. I loved everything about this place, it spoke to my creative side. I wanted to move right in and start making tiles.🤣. My husband did finally pull me out, but not before I purchased some tiles to use at home.

Moravian Pottery & Tile Works Museum, founded in 1898 by Henry Chapman Mercer, preserves a unique legacy of handcrafted tile production using techniques like ancient press and kiln methods. This museum remains a living workshop, where artisans actively produce decorative tiles on original equipment, making history tangible in every piece. The facility, housed in a rustic workshop in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, feels like stepping into Mercer’s vision of an early‑20th‑century arts community. Every tile displays intricate glazes and historic motifs, from Colonial American patterns to Arts & Crafts influences. Watching the potters and glazers at work is both mesmerizing and educational—offering an insider’s look into material-driven creativity. The on-site museum gallery and interpretive displays trace the beginnings of tile-making in America, Mercer’s fascination with archaeology, and his passion for preserving folk art. There’s also a charming retail area where you can purchase unique, handcrafted tiles and pottery items. This museum is a hidden gem for art lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates hands-on creativity and heritage craft. Highly recommended for its authenticity, artistry, and enduring inspiration.

Very interesting tour of Henry Mercers Tile Works, which started in the 1800s. He not only patented these methods, but produced beautiful tiles that tell a story as well. From his original tools, kilns/furnaces, as well as equipment and methods they are still using today on a small scale. You can purchase many of tge decorative tiles, or commusion work here today. Lots of history, a nice self guided tour through the facility, which starts with a documentary about how he started, to the end of his life and beyond.

Great tour with welcoming staff dedicated to preserving the legacy of Henry Mercer. The experience begins with a short documentary that provides an excellent overview of Mercer’s life, the property’s development, and the tile-making process. From there, you take a self-guided tour through the facility, ending with an artist actively creating new tiles. The craftsmanship and history are fascinating, and the gift shop is outstanding—beautiful pieces and a perfect way to take home a bit of Mercer’s artistry.

Aldie Mansion, a stunning English Tudor manor dating back to 1927, is a visual delight for history and architecture enthusiasts. The estate showcases American craftsmanship with its pristine brickwork, antique tiles, gargoyles, and meticulously crafted architectural details. It has been a popular choice for weddings due to its gorgeous grounds and old-world charm inside the mansion.
At the end of the day, Aldie Mansion created a magical wedding. The venue was perfect for our whimsical yet elegant affair with beautiful garden grounds and English manor. I highly recommend paying the extra fee to get ready on site. The aesthetic was perfect for getting ready pictures and vibes. We opted to get married in the Tea Garden vs in front of the big tree, which I added some dramatics with the long aisle. The food by in house JAM Catering was so good including the chocolate bourbon cake, which says a lot coming from someone who isn't a big sweet tooth. The flow of the day was also impeccable. We were able to try the cocktail hour food and even sit during dinner to finish our main meals. The Aldie Team helps to set decor up and really had an eye for detail, which I appreciated. I will note that leading up to the wedding was a bit bumpy 2 months out. My initial coordinator was not attentive to details, but once I reached out to the Sales Director, she was extremely helpful, accommodating, and understanding. She was able to get everything on track and then some. I'd still recommend Aldie Mansion to any couple!

If you are looking to wow your guests, this venue is sure to do it. Timeless charm, a beautiful outdoor ceremony site and a main room that can handle an all out dance party - while your non-dancing guests enjoy some more quiet space in one of the rooms just off the main hall. The staff is always friendly and the food is excellent.

I've had the pleasure of photographing many weddings at this historic estate. The Aldie Mansion is definitely on my favorites list as a wedding photographer. The grounds are gorgeous and the inside has kept it's old world classy charm. There is a beautiful wood paneled library /bar area, an awesome "grooms room" and separate "bridal suite" with a balcony - a beautiful staircase etc. The food has always been great and the staff are always happy and friendly.

We’re so excited to be having our wedding at Aldie Mansion! From the moment we toured the venue, we were blown away by its historic charm and beautiful gardens—it truly feels like a hidden gem. The space is elegant, romantic, and full of character. Working with Jeffrey A. Miller Catering has also been a fantastic experience so far. Their attention to detail, menu options, and professionalism have made the planning process smooth and enjoyable. We can’t wait to celebrate our big day here and know it’s going to be unforgettable!

We have been fortunate enough to be asked by several couples in recent years to photograph their wedding at Aldie Mansion. And let me tell you, this place is an absolute gem of a wedding venue in suburban Philadelphia! The English country feel of this early 20th century mansion is a perfect setting for a wedding that will wow your guests and deliver gorgeous locations for a ceremony, cocktail hour....and in our case as photographers, wedding photos locations. We can take photos at Aldie for days on end because of the abundance of unique and beautiful little nooks both indoor and outside. Our couples love the feeling they get at Aldie. We love the looks we get. And everyone loves how well the staff at Aldie and the caterer, Jeffery Miller take care of all the guests. If you're looking for a romantic, garden setting for your wedding, definitely put Aldie at the top of your list!

Our wedding was June 2022 and Aldie and JAM catering made it the best day ever! The venue is breathtaking, we got so many compliments on how unique and beautiful it was, not to mention that we have the entire building. The food was delicious, and all of our guest's dietary restrictions were catered to. Our MOH had some pretty intense ones, and was so impressed with her meal! Our day-of coordinator, Hannah exceeded all of our expectations and hopes. When we were told we were having a day of coordinator I did not expect the level of commitment, detail, time, and effort that Hannah put into planning our wedding. She did a phenomenal job prior to day of, making sure details, considerations, and our wishes were all captured and organized. Day of, Hannah went above and beyond in keeping things, organized, us stress-free and able to enjoy our day, and showed incredible flexibility and hospitality when we decided to mid reception to extend the reception by an hour. Mid reception, if there was anything that was needed all we had to do was say her name and she was on it. With regards to after, Hannah did a wonderful job making sure all of our belongings were packed and organized. We can’t thank her, Aldie, and JAM enough.

The chips were criminally delicious. I rarely eat gluten or dairy but this was worth every single bite. GLORIOUS.

My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic birthday dinner and let me just say, this place does not disappoint. If you are used to gorging and love giant plates of food, this place might not be for you. If you love to taste every perfect bite and relish in the magical creation of chefs who know food, with dishes that are carefully constructed, this place is for you. At one point while eating the ceviche special, served on 4 Asian style soup spoons, delicate white fish in a coconut milk, accompanied by pineapple and some sort of picked red pepper or something quite magical… we made a joke about the server will come to the table and we would just be crying tears of joy and how wired that would be, but it wasn’t a joke at all because I actually cried! 😂 No really, it’s that delicious. Also, our server was wonderful. the atmosphere was lovely. Thank you for a beautiful experience.

The positives : the waitress and the host were phenomenal and really tried their best to “sell” the place. The chef does understand flavors. The negatives : although some components were pricey such as caviar & saffron (couldn’t even taste those btw) they were minimal due to the insanely small servings. Every “plate” that was over $15 was simply not worth it. The best example was the $28 “lobster rolls”. They were ludicrously expensive for what they offered. 2 teeny tiny rolls about 2”-3” in diameter. Come on , I think you could make the rip off less obvious. Other than those , we ordered the beet salad , the octopus, the tuna crudo , the spring rolls and although some of these had decent flavors , nothing was something I’d never tasted before. We ate at a moderately priced local restaurant earlier in the day that impressed us way more with diversification and creativity (I’ll review them too). Clearly this self taught chef does know flavors but he also knows how to take advantage of the patrons. Not going back. Would not recommend to anyone.I’m shocked this gets a 4.8 and can only assume most of the prior patrons don’t have a ton of fine dining experience not to be condescending.

Had a good meal hear and enjoyed everything I tried. Its meant to be a small plates to SHARE restaurant. We didn't want to share our plates and ordered individually. It was still severed as a sharing option and we kept having to send back the extra utensils or wait and ask for the next course so other could eat. If you don't want to share, make that clear to bring out which dishes you want served at the same time. Overall had a great meal and would definitely go back. You will need a reservation at least a month ahead of time.

OK the sour cream ice cream at Honey changed my life. Hear me out. I took a snowy drive over to Doylestown for a GNO. We picked a new-to-us restaurant and buckled up for a tasty ride. Honey restaurant serves a tapas-style menu which is ideal for those who like to order a bit of everything and sharesies. Our server recommended 2-3 plates per person, so we ordered exactly that. The meal started with a gift from the kitchen. It was a warm, buttery crostini with goat cheese and a raisin mostarda. There was a secondary gift of savory popcorn, which I wasn’t crazy about, but served as a nice snack in between dishes. We also ordered the tuna crudo, which came served on a salt block and topped with rye breadcrumbs. The risotto balls were delicately fried and bathed in a sweet marinara. We LOVED the tender broccolini with almond romesco. And the ham and cheese on a pretzel roll and the meatball parm (lamb = genius) were our favorites of the savories. The flavors were truly inventive and surprising. It’s clear that the chef put critical thought and care into each menu item. We ended the meal with a “Take 6” (their spin on a Take 5, which happens to be one of my fav candies). I was intrigued by the sour cream ice cream served in another dessert dish, so asked for a scoop of that too lmao. If you’re a fellow sour cream donut lover, order this ice cream and thank me later. A perfect snow day meal. If you’re nearby Doylestown, put this place on your Bucks County bucket list!

Some friends of my partner and I recently moved to Doyelstown Pennsylvania and we went out to visit. They made reservations at Honey and what a fantastic experience. Really cool menu with just a touch of Asian in it. Jason the waiter was totally on point with the dinner service. Cocktails were fabulous along with the great food. It is a small plate service so there are lots to choose and share or you can just scarf down your pick cus it's that good. I highly recommend the foie gras sliders!!! YUMMY

Wow, the lunch was incredible! Got the 1/2 sandwich and soup, and it was one of the best soups I have ever had. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere.

Always a great sandwich at Lily’s! We stop by often when we’re looking for a quick bite to eat. On this day I had the grilled veggie sandwich. Delicious! We’ve always found the service to be friendly. Today we showed up shortly before closing and offered to take our food to go. We were assured it wasn’t a problem to sit and eat, which was nice. The same person thanked us when we ate and got on our way quickly. I would highly recommend this long term business for a delicious lunch.

Stopped in for lunch on Monday. Everyone was beyond welcoming, accommodating and friendly. Amazing lunch at a great price and equally great beer. Sweet spot in Doylestown- you must go!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and were waited on by very friendly people. I enjoyed the sandwich with ham, Brie and fig ham on delicious baguette. The portions are good, just enough to fill you up but not make you feel gross or waste food. The ingredients tasted very fresh and clean.

I hadn't been to Lilly's in quite awhile and was startled by the new decor! I kind of miss the colander lampshades and quirky names for the sandwiches. However the food was just as delicious as ever.

Great spot for sandwiches and salads. Food was excellent and friendly staff with great vibes for a local lunch! A+

Delicious eclectic sandwiches and paninis and massive salads. There are so many specials that if you only look at the menu you will probably miss the best foods, but you will see others getting them.

I had an hour break from Jury Duty. I called another place, and they said my order would take 45 min. So I just walked down Court St, and went in Lilly’s. There were about 8 people in front of me. So I waited. The wait was only about 15 min till I was able to order, and about 5 minutes till my Chicken Caesar Wrap was ready. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. Great!! Recommended!

Tex-Mex restaurant
Poco's Mexican-American Restaurant, Bar & Comedy Cabaret in Doylestown, PA is a lively and festive venue offering a variety of margaritas including their house specials and Thursday specials. The menu features eclectic and delicious Mexican dishes alongside traditional favorites like nachos, chips and salsa, and chicken enchiladas. The restaurant also hosts comedy nights with talented comedians for an affordable and entertaining night out.
Poco’s in Doylestown is a local staple that never disappoints! Whether you’re at the bar, in high-top seating, or in the main dining area, the atmosphere is always fun and welcoming. I usually go for the bar seating or a high-top, and I can’t recommend their margaritas enough! The regular on-the-rocks margarita is a classic, but the frozen ones with different flavor options are always amazing too. One of my favorite parts is that they start you off with chips and salsa, which makes deciding on food a bit easier. Recently, I tried their sweet potato fries as an appetizer, and they were incredible. All the food here has been consistently great. Poco’s is definitely a must-visit if you’re in Doylestown!

Stopped by for a comedy show and arrived early for a bite to eat. We should have remembered the last time we ate here or we may have just showed up for the show instead. Compared to other Mexican restaurants, the portions are small, taste ok, and are priced high. I ordered a nacho entree that only had a few chips that were covered with cheese. Really sad considering I ate more free table chips than what I paid for… Next time I may just eat the free chips and not make a $15 donation for a few with cheese on top. Also be aware that the nacho entree description on the menu is very deceptive. It makes you believe that the entree includes all that is listed in the description. You can add the items listed in the description for an extra fee. Edit - The nacho descriptions under the other options made mention of other ingredients such as onions and jalapenos. Those do not come with the entree unless you pay an extra charge.

What a fun place. Came here and had a great time. Food was eclectic, yummy and had a different spin on Mexican food. Yes, they have the staples but also a whole bunch of other fun dishes. The service rocks too. Katie our server did a magnificent job at making us feel at home and recommending food. Great happy hour specials- ALL BOOZE and appetizers are 1/2 off from 4-6 PM ... M-F. Great creative drinks too! Fun, fun fun!!!! The crowd is friendly and welcoming too. Family Friendly place too! So what’s not to like? Great place, great food and great service. An all around WIN!!! Go spend your $$$ at this place. Def worth it.

Meal was hot, waitress friendly & polite, attentive. SMALL PORTION & casadia hardly had any cheese in it. A shame. Doylestown really doesn't have any really good restaurants.

First time here and let me tell you this place is awesome! It looks a tad dated, but that’s a good thing because it’s warm and cozy inside. The chips on the table were great and they refill the samosa often. The marg tasted great. I had fajitas, and it was plenty of food for me. I like the duel bar as well, and will come back to check it out next time.

We heard about Cross Keys Diner from our Earth Science teacher (early 80’s!!) and we’re so excited to visit! We arrived around 10am and didn’t have any wait to be seated. We ordered coffee & our breakfast. I had the Granny Scrambled eggs & toast. Was delicious and I was so full. Was a generous portion. Waitress and staff were nice also! We will be back!! 🥰

It’s as good as the other reviews say it is. Maybe even better. Absolutely delicious and creamy hollandaise sauce. Perfectly poached eggs. And just right toasted English muffin. And the home fries are pretty good, too. Came up for Peddlers Village and didn't know where to grab breakfast. This was the best possible option. Monday morning packed good. Sat at the bar, and once we ordered food, it was to us in 8 or 9 minutes and delicious. Best breakfast sausage I've had in a long time, perfectly cook lightly sweet just everything you want. Perfect portion size and the potatoes were bomb. Will be visiting again! 10 out of 10

My first visit to Cross Keys Diner did not disappoint. Arriving around 10am on a chilly Friday morning, the place was busy and, as I was solo, I was happy to take a seat at the counter. I ordered one of the daily specials, the Ed Asner Omelet. What arrived in front of me was a plate heaped with food. The omelet was heaped inside with sweet Italian sausage, provolone, and sundried tomatoes...a delightful combination and incredibly delicious. I am not one to leave food on my plate, but the portion was so generous I couldn't finish it. The home fries had a few burnt bits. Did I care? No, I did not. Real rye toast on the side, with the perfect tangy sourness and a great chew. The coffee! Old school diner coffee from the Bunn-O-Matic with free refills. The perfect accompaniment to eggs, potatoes and toast. The hard-working staff was friendly and responsive, taking the time to smile even though it was peak serving time. I appreciate that someone (the chef? the owner? are they the same?) is having fun and being creative with the ingredients and naming of the daily specials. This place is a gem and one of a kind. I will certainly be back.

Please get these great employees some help!! I came during the dinner rush on a BOGO deal day, and there was only one employee working both the in person order counter making the meals while also working the register. Despite being under pressure, he was beyond kind and was absolutely trying his best to keep the line moving along. There was also only one employee preparing food, and one on the take out order counter dealing with many impatient delivery drivers. I am always happy with my service here, but in moments like these I feel for the employees and hope they can find more help for the future!

We came here for our usual chicken burrito and bowl but we had to leave because of this sign But may be next time around we will come back It is small, laid back.

Convenient location with good service. I often order online and my take out order is always made in a timely manner and quality of food is good. Portion sizes are usually good but sometimes can be inconsistent. I haven’t ordered inside the restaurant but have seen long lines when I went in to pick up my order.

Visited this location today and was not very happy. I asked for extra white rice and I received it then I asked for chicken and had only gotten half a scoop of chicken when I asked for just a little more he said he couldn’t do that so I had to pay for double chicken which is not what I wanted. My chips must have been very old because they weren’t crunchy and one had molding on it. I then went to eat my bowl and all of the food was cold and the chicken was hard and the toppings tasted old. I will not be returning to this location
Kay — Google review
Half empty bowl, of a very tiny bit of barely warm meat. Didn't have any Guacamole available. They weren't busy when I arrived but still took them awhile to fulfill my order. The place is really looking dingy.
Gaetano G — Google review
DO NOT COME HERE AFTER 8 PM. In the daytime it’s a mediocre chipotle but after 8 PM hits they stop putting any spices in the food. The rice has no salt, the salsa is just tomatoes, and the whole thing sucks. This has consistently happened when I’ve come in the evening. Also consistently dirty, service is slow but that’s a Chipotle thing
James — Google review
$12 for a practically empty bowl is just outrageous. I got half a scoop of everything. I wasn’t even full after eating at all. I needed to eat something else for lunch just so I could go to the gym. I am just completely disappointed in what chipotle has come to. This is completely unacceptable.
Brody C — Google review
I love chipotle and for some reason almost everytime I go to this location in Doylestown either the rice is hard, the chicken is burnt, or the steak is just literally straight fat. It's like there's no quality control whatsoever and it's a shame because I love to eat it after a good workout. Just going to avoid this location entirely at this point. This is the last bowl of hard rice I throw in the trash.
