Park
Burlington City Park Amusement Area is a charming community park featuring classic attractions like a carousel, miniature train, and boats. Nestled in an expansive 75-acre space, the park offers scenic walking trails, lush green areas, and beautiful lake views for visitors to enjoy. It's a perfect retreat from the city's hustle and bustle, providing an opportunity to reconnect with nature and unwind.
Excellent place for kids. My kids loved it, the rides are awesome and mostly have 1$ ticket. Train ride is too good for kids and parents. Walking tracks in the park are beautiful.
Muhammad F — Google review
We visited this park during the Carousel Festival in May. The kids had an amazing experience. There were rides, games, prizes, food, music and so so much more. Our day had the best time riding the “horsey” on the carousel. I would definitely recommend this park for normal weekday/weekend visits as well. They have many permanent rides, a train and the carousel. The staff were friendly and great with kids. We will be back!
Kirby G — Google review
Great morning at the park. Took my toddler. He was a bit too young for the individual rides, but had fun on the carousel, train, and playground. Kides need to be over 30in for the individual kids' rides. My parents took me here when I was little. It's so nice to be able to share it with my son. No line for tickets, and everything is reasonably priced.

Burlington City Park is a delightful place for families and visitors of all ages. The park features a beautifully restored 1913 Dentzel Carousel, a miniature train ride, and various kiddie rides that bring joy to children and nostalgia to adults. The playground is spacious and well-maintained, providing a safe environment for kids to play. For those looking to relax or have a picnic, there are numerous shaded areas with picnic tables and grills. The walking trails meander through the park, offering scenic views and a chance to enjoy the local wildlife along Little Alamance Creek. Additional amenities include the Maynard Aquatic Center, Burlington Splash Park, and the Burlington Tennis Center with 12 lighted courts. The park also hosts the annual Burlington Carousel Festival, celebrating its historic carousel with live music, crafts, and food. Admission to the park is free, making it an affordable and enjoyable outing. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, Burlington City Park offers something for everyone.

Just in town for a visit and found this gem! Super cool there is a park like this. The playground is great as well!
Misty C — Google review
Dear Mr Burlington. Today my daughter and I were looking for a fun way to spend this beautiful Sunday. We just happened to look up your park and to say the least we’re not disappointed. This place was amazing. Very clean and the staff were friendly. The playground had the soft tuff and so much to do. There were plenty of things to do and the rides were reasonably priced for the fun that my daughter had. There was even a concession stand where everything was reasonably priced, and the bathrooms were clean. This was a very pleasant place to just happen upon and I’m sure we’ll be back again in the very near future. Thank you very much for all the work that you put in, and for anyone looking this is a great way to spin your day at a cheap price that your children can have.
Troy P — Google review
Perfect place for just about anything. Whether it’s to entertain your toddler (like i do), picnics, walks, events, etc. We enjoy coming here especially for the train. My little man loves the train and even though it’s a short ride, it does go 3x! It cost $1 per ride and it’s worth it! The gentleman that runs the train is always so nice. We also love that the playground and just about anything else have been upgraded. Highly recommend!
Aletheia C — Google review
What an AWESOME little place for the young children... 2 or 3-8yo... depending on size... but the rides were fun it wasnt too crowded.. maybe since the holiday there were lots of other activities going on somewhere and everywhere and we arrived after 2p... thankfully open clean bathrooms a quaint concession stand. Sweet and polite customer service though one employee felt work place harrassment by another early on in our arrival... she was very upset. The kids loved it and one gentleman was very accommodating to my oldest as she was a bit bigger but under height requirement. We will definitely return. I love that it was ticket pricing not day pricing... and tickets never expire. What a fun idea someone had.. there was also a free true play ground safe and accommodating to all. Definitely loved it and plenty of seating areas and trees to allow for cool down. We will definitely go again and again... as long as these littles dont grow too fast!!!

Very good Place to visit and enjoy game or two. The place is well kept. I also noticed how clean the entire grounds were. Now parking is plentiful and within walking distance of all the Complex.Do you and the family a favor go enjoy a game 👍

Staff and amenities are great. The only bummer is group event areas. The nice area is directly in the sun. I wish they would install sun shades that could be rolled up and down. The other side is in the shade but is gravel. Wish they would pave it.

Go see the Burlington Royals. Seriously. Go. One of the best bang for your buck entertainment places for the family. Food and drink/beer prices aren’t out of this world. Staff is nice. You’ll also be witnessing some of these guys’ first professional baseball games. Parking was free. Seating is ample. We will be retuning!
G.W. B — Google review
My first time there I really enjoyed it the crowd everyone was so friendly it has at Hometown atmosphere I like Burlington anyway. They have plenty of games fireworks after the game they gave away prizes and Raffles and it was fun.

Good park with a playground and plenty of parking. No obvious bathrooms for young kids. Was a good pit stop for our road trip. You can use the community center for a restroom. They are very nice there.

The Burlington Athletic Stadium is a fantastic venue that offers a wonderful ambiance, various activities for children, delicious food options, and numerous vendors. It hosts a range of events, including games, which are always enjoyable to attend. The Sock Puppets offer excellent group pricing for those interested in organizing an outing. Moreover, the stadium boasts clean restrooms and features a new entertainment area beyond first base. However, it could benefit from adding back support to the bleachers and improving parking facilities.
Wonderful low level minor league ballpark and experience in historic stadium. It just feel like baseball. Enthusiastic home crowd. Much of seating is covered. It now has new bathrooms which is huge upgrade. Decent concessions. Parking right there. Pretty backdrop. Definitely worth the visit for any baseball lover.

This is a really nice facility. We were here for a Middle School Fall Fundraiser event. The staff here have always been very nice to us. Good places to eat in the stadium. They have good food, beer. They’ve really improved this place over the past few years.

Awesome atmosphere, kids activities, food, vendors, everything! We love coming to games and other events held here. If you are looking for a group outing, the Sock Puppets have GREAT pricing for groups! By the way, they have very clean bathrooms and a new entertainment area down past first base. I do wish the stadium had back support on the bleachers and better parking! Get there early to get a good parking place.

Burlington Springwood Park spans 78 acres of lush green space, offering a range of amenities such as soccer and baseball fields, a playground, and a walking track. It is an idyllic location with a disc golf course running through it. The park is well-maintained and clean, making it an excellent choice for ball tournaments and gatherings. Additionally, there is a paved trail suitable for leisurely walks with family or pets.
Great job on the fields, mounds, and tree selections for the park. Very well done... especially love the Trident Maples around the Softball fields
Tim H — Google review
It's quite a nice, clean park, though surrounded all sides by a typical, treeless subdivision. It's still a nice place to get a quick walk in with the dogs and it does look like they are planting more trees around the edges to block off the houses from view.
Dori M — Google review
This was a very nice soccer field but for older or handicapped folks need to provide a way for transportation to the other side of the gigantic field. And closer restrooms also would be nice as well. Well maintained field!
Jane A — Google review
Great soccer and softball fields. They've done a lot of good work on the disk golf course.
Jeremy H — Google review
Extremely nice place. Clean restrooms. There is a decent size playground for kids.
Shawn R — Google review
This was the day I visited my brother. But before I could visit I had to wait until a little later. So, the girls and I decided to find a nearby park. When I walked the dogs at Burlington Spring Park I discovered that this was not just a ball field. It was also a players course for disc golf. The spot we parked at just happened to be between the 7th and 8th. As we sat along the grassy bank the dogs and I were fortunate enough to see people actually play. One had the power and look of Zeus but all of them tried their best to stay out of the trees. What shocked me the most was that none of them became angry or upset about how they threw their discs or where it landed. They just had fun. When we get upset and then angry that is when we lose the game. This was a good park for all ages and a lesson learned for me.

We just loved this cute diner! Ms Shelby our waitress, was a sweet as peach pie!! The chicken pita was really good... the cucumber dressing was so so delicious! And the prices were incredible... so cheap! And get that kind of service and food told us one thing....we'll be back!

A classic diner feel, classic diner food, classic diner environment. We tried it out because from driving by it looks like a really dependable local place for a good breakfast at a low price. We were not disappointed, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming to all diners, regardless of background, ethnicity, or age. This is not always found in establishments of this type, so we were quite impressed. On our list of places to return to for a good breakfast.

Excellent all day breakfast for a nice low price. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. It's a small place so be prepared to have a wait. Fortunately ours was short. The coffee was really good and the hashbrowns were nice and crispy without having to ask for it.

Stopped in for breakfast while in town with family. I am breakfast lover. Combine my favorite meal with the nostalgia of this little diner, I was in heaven. Do not downplay how it looks from the outside. It’s a quaint little spot, but their breakfast is awesome! Definitely a spot I would hit up again.

Fast food restaurant
Burger King is a well-known fast-food chain that serves grilled burgers, fries, and shakes. With over 13,000 restaurants in 97 countries, it attracts more than 11 million guests daily. Customers have praised the friendly staff and quick service at various locations. While some have experienced occasional order mix-ups, they appreciate the prompt resolution by the staff. Overall, Burger King is recommended for its cleanliness, efficient service, and high-quality food compared to other fast-food options in the area.
At 12:48p.m. on Saturday August 16th 2025, I had the pleasure of being thoroughly taken care at the drive-thru by the awesome team at N.Church St location from start to finish it was a pleasurable experience. After I received my no.5 medium meal, I parked in the Burger King parking lot to eat my meal. I enjoyed my HOT fries (with ketchup and mayo that the team member gave me with no push back which was refreshing), the HOT, flame broiled double cheeseburger was perfection. I made the decision that management had to know about the experience. I walked into establishment which was clean. I was welcomed by an exiting employee and he held the door, I was greeted by the lady cashier and I asked to speak with the manager on duty. She told Charles Long but he was busy on the line which hey take care of the hungry customers like he did my order. I had the absolute pleasure to speak with Lamonte. I told him about the wonderful experience from BK team. He thanked me and I thanked him. Keep up the fantastic work!!! If you have a good, great, awesome experience at a restuarant, let them know because most only hear about what went wrong. THIS LOCATION RULES!
Dorena P — Google review
Food was garbage. Nuggets were like rocks, fries were crunchy and brown, the burger was ok except the bread wasn't toasted. It never cease to amaze me what people will serve to a guest. Unbelievable. So, no I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone and no I will not eat there again. Yes, I am getting a refund when I call corporate. Tired of my money being wasted .👎😡
Sasha J — Google review
Absolutely dissatisfied in the service that I’ve received. I placed and ordered that was prepared incorrectly and when I notified them about it, there was an additional wait time of 15-20 mins before I went up there to ask about it, and they forgot about my order. Too much confusion in this unorganized restaurant!
Brenrico B — Google review
I've always liked the food at Burger King, I just have an issue with service. It's slow, most of the time including this time they don't get my food correct. Personal opinion but mayo shouldn't be on any burger and I always hold it off and it always makes it on my burger.
John E — Google review
My daughter had the Shroom n' Swiss Melt with their new cheesy tots (pictured). They don't have the Rodeo King anymore so I just had the traditional rodeo burgers and fries. Atmosphere rating explanation: While this location is clean it is freezing 🥶 in the dining area. I understand that it's fast food so they probably keep it cold to keep people from staying for long periods of time but I like to eat in comfort. I shouldn't have to take my food to go or rush to eat because of the temperature inside. I notified management and they weren't too helpful. They stated that they have no control over the temperature. 🤷🏽‍♀️
Cheri J — Google review
Customer service was abysmal. Zero communication, a lot of standing around talking to coworkers, close to 20 minutes in a 5-6 car line. In an area known for not-great customer service, this was pretty terrible. 3 kids meals, 1 toy. Paid for a sauce, didn't get it. Do better.
Brett C — Google review
Went in for lunch and it was great, dining room was very clean, staff was very helpful and upbeat. And our food was fresh and made correctly. Very refreshing to go in a fast food restaurant and enjoy the experience.

Delivery Restaurant
Nestled in Burlington, North Carolina, Mimi's Pizza is a charming spot that offers an array of delicious thin-crust and deep-dish pizzas. Known for its inventive topping combinations, this low-key eatery also serves up hot subs and fresh salads. Guests rave about the quality of ingredients used here; from the perfectly fresh dough to top-notch cheese, every bite showcases their commitment to authenticity.
Really enjoyed the New York style crust tonight. Cheese and toppings were fresh and plentiful. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Look forward to trying some other menu items and supporting this great local business.

On normal days, the food and service is impeccable. On game days, choas seems to rule. I went by yesterday when they were slammed with orders and Team Mimi was in a state of controlled chaos trying to keep up. This isn't a bad thing, they just need a couple more locations and nobody in the county will ever have a need for a Papa Domino's Hut again. Best Italian take out in this hemisphere. 😋
J P — Google review
Decided to finally give this place a try. The pizza was very good and worth coming back for. We also got a salad, it was kind of sad and overpriced. We won't order one again.
Zach A — Google review
We ordered a large catering lunch to be delivered very early - they didn't blink an eye. It arrived hot, on time, and delicious. Can't say enough about the service and quality of the food. Everyone who had lunch went back for seconds and raved about it. Thank you Mimi's for making me look good!
Maureen M — Google review
Well. I haven’t eaten here in a couple years. I will say we ordered (2) medium specialty calzones. They were quite tasty and we ate on those for two days. I would have given you 5-stars, but the house calzone was missing meatballs. There wasn’t even one….. Main reason I ordered that one. You missed the mark on that. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! We will come again, but please don’t forget the meatballs next time.
J — Google review
Not only is the pizza absolutely delicious, but the quality of ingredients truly sets Mimi’s apart. You can taste the difference—the cheese is top-notch, the dough is perfectly fresh, and every bite reflects the pride and authenticity behind their recipes. We also ordered the Greek and Caesar salads, both fresh, crisp, and generously portioned. The cheese bread and chicken wings were equally amazing—full of flavor and cooked just right. The staff is professional, friendly, and welcoming, and the menu offers a great variety without sacrificing quality. Burlington is lucky to have this little gem. If you haven’t tried Mimi’s yet, you’re missing out! ❤️

We have tried many pizza joints in this area looking for one that makes a true New York style pizza. Many say they do, but you try it and it's not close. We are very impressed with the peperoni pizza here. We look forward to trying their calzones and other dishes. 9-10-25. We tried a large ham & cheese calzone, and it was better than any we've ever had. It was filled to the edge, not soggy, and entirely soft so you left nothing behind. Thank you for doing a great job.

I really enjoyed this trail when you drive in there are several shelters to the side for camping. There’s also a gift shop there too.. it also has a very nice trail with a waterfall at the beginning of it. There is also a a little playground that you can bring kids to. Overall very pleasant and the walk wasn’t too steep. Definitely recommend it.

History farm is very well designed. Playgrounds, picnic areas, restrooms and dog friendly. There are four walking trails that I walked and they run consecutive. Upper and lower. Trails well marked and maintained. The lower trails near water and it would be good to have bug repellent.

Cedarock Park is an absolute gem for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts! The park’s well-maintained trails offer stunning views of Rock Creek and rolling foothills, making it perfect for hiking, biking, and even horseback riding. The Cedarock Historical Farm is a unique bonus, providing a glimpse into 19th-century farm life with beautifully restored buildings and animals. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful spot to picnic, a fun disc golf outing, or just a serene place to unwind, this park has something for everyone. The variety of activities, from fishing ponds to playgrounds, makes it an excellent destination for families as well. The facilities are clean, and the park staff are friendly and helpful. Loved our time walking around in nature here! We went on a 4.3 mile trail from AllTrails that used multiple of the paths available at the park. It was called: Afternoon hike at rock creek, bridle, and spoon branch loop.

Nice, serene place. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Great place for a picnic or family gatherings, with ample space and semi-private picnic areas.

Beautiful park. New playground is really nice, love that it’s fenced in to keep my children from escaping. Only thing that ruins it are people leaving their trash behind…there were plastic water bottles, wrappers and cans throughout the play area. May be something the park staff need to keep an eye on. Or maybe visitors could learn how to clean up after themselves, that would be nice too :)

I found the experience of learning about the history of Alamance at the local museum to be enjoyable and enlightening. The collection of furniture, clothing, and artifacts from the original Holt family was impressive. As a newcomer to the area, it served as a good introduction to the region's history. I would recommend this museum to anyone new to the area who wants to explore its past. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Wow! Such amazing Alamance textile history, antique furniture, clothing, and photos. Bill was so knowledgeable--- my family and I really enjoyed our visit.

A lot of interesting history here! Self guided tour and interesting facts of original owner of plantation, a plantation of of 1700 acres.

I enjoyed learning so much about the history of Alamance! I am totally amazed at the collection of beautiful furniture, clothing, and artifacts from the original Holt family. Being newcomer to the area it was a good primer to the history of the area. Definitely recommend all people who are new to the area to enjoy a walk through the past.

Rooms are beautiful. Knowledgeable tour guide. A quilt and painting are sublime! Many dresses mounted on mannequins. Stumbled on this place and I thought I had researched the area for things to see and do. No admission when I was there, accept donations.

What a beautifully maintained historical site . Lots of paths and a great place to walk your doggo. Closes at 5pm daily . There are bathrooms on site .
Leeann S — Google review
Very well-maintained historic site with knowledgeable staff. You can self-tour or purchase an inexpensive tour from the staff. The gift shop was a little limited, and you have to cross the street (or drive to the other parking) to see the monument but it is a pretty easy walk around the grounds. There is also a trail which I didn't explore this time and occasional events on the grounds.
Jessie C — Google review
Love the walking and the old buildings. There are things to read and lear about what happened years ago . It's a half of mile walk .

Wonderful Historic Site, the staff was friendly and well informed of the history. I learned a few things and enjoyed my visit.

A nice break off of Interstate 40 when traveling across North Carolina. Perfect place to stretch your legs and learn a little history. Bathrooms and a small visitor center. A very informative staff as well.

Another great NC historic site. Exhibits are on point and the staff gave a great overview to a point that could be seen as the start of the steps to the American Revolution. It’s a short walking tour and well worth the visit.

Museum
Located in Burlington, the McCandless Collection is a remarkable museum showcasing classic Mopar vehicles such as Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, and Desoto. The collection is based on the illustrious racing career of Herb McCandless, also known as Mr. 4 Speed. In addition to the stunning cars on display, visitors can admire an impressive array of dealership memorabilia. The neon signage found within the museum is so extensive that it could warrant its own dedicated exhibition.
This collection is absolutely incredible. I emailed asking if it were possible to schedule a tour for my boyfriends 40th birthday, and they immediately responded and made it happen. Shannon met us there and took us through the whole place. He was incredibly helpful and extremely knowledgeable of everything in there. It far exceeded expectations. If you are even the slightest bit of a car/race fan, this place is a must. We will definitely be going back.
Erica N — Google review
Absolutely fantastic. Anxiously awaited the grand opening of this museum. Opened 2 weeks prior to my arrival in Raleigh. Could not have been more impressed. Mike McCandless has put together a great collection of cars and memorabilia. Shannon was extremely informative (as well as very friendly), even with less than a month on the job as the manager. Spent two hours there, could have easily been longer. Even my wife, who is not a car nut like I am, enjoyed herself. Took 180 pictures! Bought a mailbox (painted like Herb's Dodge Dart)! I even bought the proverbial tshirt!
Scott L — Google review
Awesome collection, friendly staff, a lot of history The displays are very informative. Also, a smaller room has many relics on display that remind you of your childhood. Will be back to spend more time
Cass B — Google review
In Burlington — Sometimes you just find a gold nugget under your nose. Thus it is with the McCandless Collection, a classic Mopar (Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth) and Desoto museum a mere 30 minutes from home! Herb McCandless (affectionately known as “Mr. 4 Speed”) is a well known drag racer and his storied career forms the basis of the collection. Not only are the exquisite cars on display but all of the dealership memorabilia is magnificent. And the neon…one could dedicate a separate museum to the neon alone. A jewel and a must-see in Burlington, NC. Recommended! 1452 Industry Dr, Burlington, NC

Fabulous place, great tribute to the early days of drag racing. The cars and the automotive displays are so well preserved. A must see!

Do not miss this place. Even if you're not a race care fan, this is a great piece of Americana that is not to be missed. The museum curator, Shannon, is wonderful. Go, go ,go.

Very nice display of Race cars and everyday drivers that I grew up reading about in the hot rod magazines. Picked up a nice T shirt for the wife and I. Would definitely go back for a second peek.

Hardee’s is a delightful fast-food destination that tantalizes your taste buds with its mouthwatering offerings. Known for their crispy fried chicken and hearty, big burgers, this chain also takes breakfast to the next level with their made-from-scratch biscuits. Whether you're craving a savory meal or a delicious morning treat, Hardee’s has something to satisfy every appetite!
3/31/2025 - Went thru drive thru and order a cheese burger, fries and drink . Then it went wrong, wait in line over 20 min then got tonthe window and then it felt like a third world enviroment inside. The staff was maybe 3 or 4 people in the whole place. They gave me my order and took it to work to eat. The cheeseburger was raw in the middle, the fries where very cold and tasted bad. i threw everything in the trash uneaten. Will be letting the health department and corporate office of Hardees know they are serving raw meat. This location needs to be shut down.
Wyette L — Google review
Service: The staff was very personable and friendly, making the experience enjoyable from the start. The location itself was incredible, and the place was generally clean—except the windows could use some attention. Food: Unfortunately, the portion sizes have been drastically reduced. The regular sandwich I usually order was noticeably half the size this time. This isn’t a reflection on the staff or workers, who continue to do a great job. Rather, it seems to be a corporate decision, similar to what happened with McDonald's, which I believe is contributing to their decline. McDonald's lost me years ago—not only because of shrinking portions but also due to declining quality. I worry Hardee's might be heading in that same direction. I truly hope Hardee's continues to focus on quality food, even if prices have risen. I’d be happy to pay a little more for the full-sized sandwich I’ve always enjoyed. But with the current downsizing, I’m left questioning if I can still rely on Hardee’s for a satisfying meal. Shrinking portions take away from the enjoyment and value I once appreciated.
STU C — Google review
I rated 2 for atmosphere because it was dirty under the fry station and the lemonade pitcher in the front counter mini fridge looked dirty. If I was by myself I would have left but my husband and children wanted to stay so I prayed and we stayed. The server was friendly and polite. And we all liked our food.
Penniah H — Google review
40min to get my food in the drive thu dam it to hard to get a hamburger and fries they make me wait so much to give me a hamburger that look like this so sad because is not what you pay for (i order a super star) and it was not cheap
Julian C — Google review
Ordered on line last night and it will be the last time I get food from this Hardee's. Got home to realize the didn't put my fries in the bag and the food that was in there was cold and horrible! They need to change the name hot ham and cheese to icy ham and cheese! It was disgusting. Do better Hardee's!
Marion T — Google review
If I could give negative 1 stars for food and service I would. I stopped here every day on my lunch because it was close. The early staff and district manager co sign each other’s statements after my complaint of the cashier handling money and touching my fries without gloves. The manager I spoke with was rude and very disrespectful all because I didn’t want food touched by someone doing multiple things. After waiting 20 minutes the cashier asks me to slide my card. She was told to give me a refund without my consent. That was my last time spending money there. I asked for corporate or someone over the store they ignored my request. If the store as a whole had better employees I feel it would thrive because of location. Everyone there moves with absolutely no sense of urgency and seem disgusted every day. It needs to be reported to the health department and shut down completely!!
Michele W — Google review
Worst experience ever. 25 minutes to get a chicken sandwich. The woman taking order was ignorant and rude. There were people behind me saying, I we should all cancel our orders and get our money back. YES....It was that bad. And my chicken was under cooked!!!! Avoid this place like the plague!!
Bob K — Google review
1st things first, Marcus. Sorry excuse for a manager. I came to this location same time 6:45pm 7/15, and had excellent HOT freshly made food. I came back 7/17 (because my last order was so good) noticing a different set of staff I asked when ordering can I please have my food made fresh. I will pull up, wait no problem. I ordered the original bag, I paid, I got pulled up I waited. Marcus comes out with the bag, I drive across the street and open my food, the burgers were stone cold, fries been under the heat lamp for who knows how long. Burgers were so cold the cheese hadn't even melted and there was no onions. I call and speak to Marcus, he tells me bring my receipt. I go back, the pink haired girl at the window Shianne.. acted like she couldn't hear so I drove up to the window, a few minutes later Marcus appears, and says he's never spoke to me. He most definitely did less than 5 minutes ago when I asked if he could remake my cold food, I handed him my receipt he didnt want it, and appeared a few minutes later with a gravy container of cold onions for my already cold burgers. I GET that you guys work in fast food, but why not have a little more pride in what you do. Being lazy, sarcastic, and rude isnt what any of you are paid for. I was respectful the entire transaction. BOTH of them, there is absolutely no excuse to do any of that to a customer. I will be escalating this, and yes over some onions. Why make yourself have a bad day over some onions?

We had the most awesome time experiencing all the beautiful creatures at the animal park. Our tour guide was amazing and very informative. 10/10 highly recommend you check this place out, you will not be disappointed!!

Great place to see some fascinating wildlife and learn a ton. They host a variety of creatures including the Eurasian lynx, caracal, binturong, fennec fox, gray wolves, New Guinea singing dogs, dingoes, lions, and tigers. My tour guide was very knowledgeable about all of the animals. It would be a wonderful place to bring a friend or the kids. I did the adventure which is a walking tour of about two hours, but they also offer seasonal events and camping. Note that reception can be poor. The walk is mostly shaded but I recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, water, and cool clothing in the summer.

Great tour. The guides was very friendly and knowledgeable - we learned a lot about them. We were able to see many animals. It's the closest I've ever been to quite a few of them. The animals were very chill. Would definitely come visit again if I'm in the area.
Joyce W — Google review
Wow! We just finished the twilight tour and it was phenomenal! The tour guides brought food and enrichment toys for the animals so many of them came out where we could really see them! I want to do it again in a few months when it is cooler.
Tiffany M — Google review
This is one of our favorite places to go. You get to be close to the animals and can talk to them. Many talk back! The staff are amazing and so caring. They truly care for the animals here. I am typically anti-zoo but this place is different. The entire vibe is different. Though the tour doesn’t go for hours, it’s still decent. Perfect amount of time. You can also go and just walk around by yourself.
Katie D — Google review
Such an AMAZING experience!! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and if there was a question she didn’t know the answer to, she didn’t lie and try to give a BS answer, she just said she didn’t know. But the best part is how close you are able to get to the big cats!! Hearing the wolves howling, and the lions “talking/roaring” at each other was sooo cool to hear!!! Even the tiger spraying at us was entertaining 😜 Highly recommend!! Just wear OFF if you go 😊
Denise — Google review
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our tour at the Animal Park on Sunday! Our tour guide Alicia was very knowledgeable about all of the animals and gave a lot of great stories and information about each one, giving us plenty of time to spend with each animal. Such a fun time! Also love what the park does for the animals, they are very well taken care of.

This park could be a wonderful place, it has all the right pieces, pretty wooded trails, bodies of water and unique vista's but it suffers from a lack of love and attention. There is so much broken glass on the trails, I was hesitant to allow my youngest to explore properly. None of the water access points are well kept and there are several very dangerous drops to water for smaller children. The trails and wooded areas are littered with old junk, rusted metal and trash. It was a bummer to go and see all this because the trails and waterways cut through very beautiful country.

The welcoming atmosphere, with an old-fashioned cigarette machine at the entrance, sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The service is excellent and the staff shares interesting stories that add to the charm of this establishment.
Had a wonderful dining experience! The restaurant was clean and the menu had a great selection. The spaghetti and salad was delicious. So was the hamburger steak, onions and gravy!😋 The portions were generous and the service was quick and friendly. Thank you so much Mandi! 😊. Highly recommend the Boston Sandwich Shop in downtown Burlington!
New P — Google review
This is not the Boston Sandwich Shop I remember. The cheesedogs had a small block of cheese in the center of the bun. There was like an inch and a half on each side to the end of the bun. The chili had a plastic taste to it. Only ate a few bites and didn't finish it, the other one I thew away. Ordered french fries with gravy and fries were under cooked, the gravy tasted kind of burnt and old. My mother's hot steak and gravy with fries was the same. So for 2 cheese dogs, ff with gravy, hot steak with gravy ff and slaw, and a sprite was 25$. Not worth the money. 20 years ago it was great. Miss Mona was the best server back then. Need to go back in time for an enjoyable meal. The Spite was the only thing good. It was in a bottle.

I just love the joints that make you feel like stepped into some kind of time warp. Boston Sandwich Shop is just that. Once I was greeted by that cigarette machine at the front door, I knew I was going to love this place. Great Service! Got a great story from the guy at the counter. Dogs were solid. Slaw and onions were nice, dog was good and hot and the bun was fresh. The chili was a bit off. Tasted like it's been in the pot for a decade or two... or three. Is enough to scare me away from returning? No chance!
Charlie C — Google review
Old fashion sandwich shop, food is good and service was too but at the last minute our waitress left us and went out to smoke. I think the hamburger was better than the hotdogs.
Nickie — Google review
I've never been before. The coleslaw qas a bit different from what I'm used to, but good. My grandmother loved the hotdogs. I also loved my dish. The burger meat was flavorful and the onions were great! I enjoyed it more than similar dishes I have gotten at fancy steakhouses! The service was great as well, and I loved every bite of meat! Honestly I can't believe I never heard of this place before and I loved it! Highly recommended for dinner! Families are really welcomed here.
John W — Google review
The server was nice and personable. The place needs to be shut down and thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom it's just plain dirty and sticky. Almost everything we ordered was frozen prior to being served. Frozen food can be fixed at home. I am sure at one time this was a nice place, I feel the pride is now gone. Diners like this are almost gone, and this one is worth saving. Fresh food is cheaper and better to serve. Soap and water would take care of the rest of the problems. The empty cigarette machine says a lot.

The restaurant prides itself on using high-quality ingredients such as fat-trimmed meats and low-sodium sauces. Customers appreciate the option to customize their spice levels, with some raving about the extra spicy options. Despite its small size, the restaurant's food and service are highly praised.
The best Sesame Tofu I’ve ever had!! (And I’ve had a lot of sesame tofu along the east coast) Perfect amount of sauce that has wonderful bits of fresh ginger pieces and tofu that is chewy yet crisp. Love the old school vibe inside with the pictures of the menu items.

I haven’t been to this restaurant in a while bc I loved their chicken wings. Today I thought I might try it since it’s been a minute. As it would pain me to say, I am sad to see this place as it is now. (I have ate here forever) When the mom and dad ran the place, it was great. Now that they have retired and the kids have taken it over, it is far from as good as it once was. The man and lady are very nice and I like them the food is just not good anymore.

Pretty good quality at reasonable price. You definitely get your moneys worth here. I got the General Tso Chicken combo for $9 and comes with an egg roll. Ive never gotten sick eating from here and they have a great sanitation rating

Decent Chinese food in Graham Nc area. Great lunch specials menu and good prices. I ordered Spicy beef and boneless spare ribs. Both were great. Their spring roll is also really good! Due to covid-19, as of Jan 2022, they dont allow dine-in customers and only take to go orders, either through their drive through or through phone.

The Burlington Downtown Depot park hosted the Burlington 4th Fridays event tonight. It is a popular destination to listen to live music, savor delicious food from various food trucks, and participate in enjoyable games. The atmosphere was perfect for the yearly finale, leaving anticipation for its return next year. Sweet T and the Biscuits performed as the main band of the evening, showcasing their remarkable vocal talents. Attendees also had access to a small variety of food trucks and a public beer garden.
Burlington 4th Fridays was hosted tonight at the depot. We love going out to hear the bands, enjoy the food trucks, and sometimes they have games. Tonight was the perfect nite foe the yearly finale...until next year we will see tou again! The band tonight was Sweet T and the Biscuits! They are a great vocal group to hear if you get the opportunity. They had a small food truck selection and beer garden op3n to the public this evening. If you missed out dude! If you get a chance to attend a 4th Friday event, I would highly recommend it. So much fun for kids and adults of all ages. In addition to the amazing local restaurants within walking distance, the event has food trucks. Downtown Burlington is a great place for a date night or a family night out.

The murals inside were really interesting. The caboose was fascinating!
Mary M — Google review
Alot of homeless there but they dont bother anyone
Jeremy E — Google review
Nice, mostly quiet place to hang out. We wish the picnic tables near the old caboose were in shade. We had to eat while sitting on a wall in the shade. Several good choices for take-out while downtown.
Ken M — Google review
A great historical location, but unless you show up on the right day, there's not much to do or see. The caboose on display is only open one day a week for a few hours. If you are looking for a caboose that's open every day, Gibsonville has one downtown. We were here for a food truck event on our last visit, and there was not much seating.

This place is a total favorite of mine! I visit every time I'm in Winston because they're always carrying something new from local artists. The employees are super friendly, always willing to chat and answer questions about the art. It's not a cheap store, but that's a good thing because it shows that the artists are getting paid what they're worth! If you're looking for a fun $5 gift, there's an art-o-mat, which is a great addition to an already amazing store. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

🦋 This place is an absolute gem. 💎 Love supporting local artists and all the staff I’ve ever met there have been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. 20/10. Go spend some money here. Buy local. 💵 (PS - they have excellent greeting card offerings… Prices very comparable to grocery store prices for cards, if not cheaper. Spend your money here instead.)

The lady that helped us was really nice and helpful. We enjoyed browsing. We came early on Saturday morning and were the only ones in the shop the entire time. They have beautiful art pieces that can be worn, displayed on a wall or in your yard.

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! I'm so glad that Burlington has this little gem of a park. It's great for walking with the family or spending some quiet time alone in nature. It's a gorgeous setting for photographs as well.

Jiggs Askew Memorial Park

Park
Jiggs Askew Memorial Park, situated in Burlington at City Park, is a well-maintained dog park with separate sections for small and large dogs. Spanning approximately two acres, the fenced-in park features landscaped areas with benches and access to water for pets. Visitors can enjoy a clean environment and ample space for their furry companions to run around. Additionally, there are amenities such as a kiddy pool for dogs to cool off in.
My pup and I had an excellent first visit here. We went to both the small/rehab dog and big dog sides of the park and both were clean and well cared-for. The water fountains are a big plus. The dogs and humans we met were friendly and well-behaved. One of the people was very familiar with the park and said that there is a core group of families who keep the park clean and safe for everyone. I look forward to our next trips.
Kyle J — Google review
I read many of the old reviews. Sad to say, the park doesn't get the attention it should. There have been no improvements in years. The poop stations are all rusted out and don't get emptied often enough. People do not clean up after their dogs. We are not allowed to have pools for the dogs to cool off in the summer. In s struggle to visit the dog park during baseball season. Parking is taken up by all vehicles for baseball including the trailers that sell merchandise. Drinking of alcohol is condoned by the park management. Dog park people know nothing will change because the dog park doesn't bring in money like the baseball parks. If you want to visit a dog that is being upgraded go to Elons Beth Schmidt Dog Park. They care about the dog park. They have installed new seating new dog waste receptacles and some doggie activity things.

As an artist and longtime member of the Burlington Artist League and Fine Arts Gallery, I have found the art displayed, whether paintings in oil, water color, pastels or colored pencil to be inspiring to myself and others. The photography, wood works, pottery and jewelry are outstanding. A visit to this gallery will certainly enhane your appreciation for fine art and fine crafts. A wonderful place to purchase special gifts

A lot of quality artwork by talented local artists. I was impressed by the quality and creativity level overall - of course certain works and certain artists stood out to me - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A good opportunity to purchase art at attractive prices, support local artists and possibly even meet the artist and discuss the works that you display in your home.

Studio 1 is a charming theater located in Burlington, NC that offers an enjoyable and unique experience for theater enthusiasts. It showcases talented actors who deliver impressive performances, creating an atmosphere of entertainment. While the focus may not be on elaborate costumes or makeup, the emphasis lies on showcasing great talent in a small town setting. The theater provides refreshments and easy access for convenience. Additionally, Studio 1 offers a fascinating space that is continually improving its seating arrangement to enhance the overall experience.
This is an amazingly enjoyable little theater in Burlington NC. My friend and I drove from Chapel Hill to enjoy one night of live theatre. The actors were talented and put in their "best show". There's not a lot of attention paid to costumes or makeup so don't go looking for the hoopla but do go looking for great talent in a little town. Refreshments available and easy access. I'd go again. Thanks for a wonderfully entertaining even.

Hiking Trails
A group of companions embarked on a leisurely journey down the Haw River Trail. The process was facilitated by phone reservations and the completion of necessary paperwork upon arrival. After parking their vehicles at the designated end point, they were transported to the drop-off location where thorough instructions were provided. Upon completion, they easily disembarked near their cars without any delays. Though initially slightly rough, the remainder of the excursion proved smooth sailing.
Beautiful and well kept 2.8 hiking trail. Blue herons, hawks and eagles are present.
Michael W — Google review
I walked both ways up and down the river and was not able to ever find the trail.
Mark S — Google review
Tiny little out of the way spot that worked out great to park our RV while travel planning. There is a big cul-de-sac loop to make it easy for turning around and parking. A small gazebo is in a patch of woods with a proposed trail directory nearby. About 100 foot up a small hill is one small restroom that is not well kept. If you follow the foot path under the bridge you will find a hiking trail that runs along the water. It was a great place to take the dogs to enjoy.

Foods a hit and miss sometimes, quesa birria is not it, carne asada and tortas are very good. No shame but this time around food was bad I couldn’t/wouldnt bother finishing it . (Quesa birria)
Otilio G — Google review
First off I want to state that the service was awesome during my recent visit. The chips and salsa were good as well. So naturally I thought I was going to have a good meal. I got a taco salad and it looked good until I started eating it. I witnessed my taco salad turn into meat mush right before my eyes. It was so weird and unappetizing. It had the consistency of vomit with the flavor of freezer burn. Staff comped the salad and offered me something else but I had already lost my appetite. I’m sure this place has other good dishes but then again, how hard is it to mess up a taco salad?
James B — Google review
I use to go here all the time. But slowly stopped going. I decided to give it another try last Sunday and this is the 3rd time I’ve been seated , order taken and then no one comes to the table once the food is brung out. I literally had to get up several times asking for things. I wasn’t even given a ticket for a meal. I had to go to the front and tell a person working there were I was sitting and that I didn’t get a ticket and he was able to pull up the meal. I couldn’t even get a refill on a cup of water. The prices increased but the customer service given has decreased a lot.
Ty B — Google review
Food is always very tasty and comes out hot. We love the menu options. Tried the elotes for the first time, and they were fantastic. Service is usually great with a smile. The kitchen can get the food out quick. Prices are comparable to other Mexican establishments.

Food was not that good. The ACP chicken was tough and no flavor. The cheese dip was bland. The margarita was delicious but very expensive for a small $8.00. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years every time I come in to town. Their food has always been great as well as having reasonable prices. This last visit was an absolute shocker as the prices have gone up considerably. I will definitely consider other options when I come into town now just due to there being lower cost options that are just as good.

Zack's Hot Dogs is a beloved family-run establishment that has been serving up delicious hot dogs and classic American fare since 1928. Located in Burlington, this charming spot offers a variety of quick bites, including hamburgers, sandwiches, and breakfast options. Diners rave about the speedy service—often getting their meals within just 15 minutes—and the friendly staff who make every visit enjoyable.
Friendly service, super fast in taking our order and getting out our food. Had a bacon cheese hotdog and a hamburger... both we're excellent. Back in town next week to give them another try. I think Zack's is a great value for your money.

Update 2024 - July 4th. I loved this place but unfortunately I won't be back until Harold Owen, Mayor Pro Tem resigns. He does not respect freedom of speech, religion, press, or assembly on a traditional public forum. He also does not respect the rights of homeless veterans. Once he is removed from office, I will immediately return. This is not a reflection of Zack's but unfortunately due to city government that makes me uneasy to travel to. Saw an ad in Our State Magazine and had to try it. Travel through this area all the time but never venture off the interstate. I was impressed. The atmosphere speaks to a hot dog joint. Counter service and many locals that stop by. The service at the table was 4 Star. Not complaining, but the biggest issue is that they were out of several items. The truck was unloading when we left, so perhaps they were back in stock later. I'm first to say that I would go back again. The sauces are unique and please the palate with different combinations. Homemade chili is one of the best I've ever had. Definitely can compete with others for sure.
Chris E — Google review
Stopped there for lunch and order the LARGE hotdog special. Welp the only thing Large was the 32 ounce drink. Paid $10 for this, I’m like wow is really a large. For that price I could get a whole Cook Out tray. This place seems it HIGHER prices & small quantities. See what happens if you support local. Next time, I’m DEFINITELY GOING TO COOKOUT. I wish it was a Dari-Os nearby because HANDS DOWN, it would been a no brainer to go there. Dari-Os got the 2 hot dog special & a drink for that price. WONT BE RETURNING to Zack’s

I got two regular Dawgs with chili, cole slaw, onions, ketchup and mustard. With some Zack's secret hot sauce on the side. I mean the hot sauce is mildly flavored to say the least but a little spicy so yeah. The food was exceptional. I didn't like the price $3 dogs is a bit much for me(I'm very cheap so if you aren't this doesn't apply to you but if you know you know)

The waitress (Red) is super friendly and attentive.👍👍👍 My first time and definitely will return just based on service alone. The Menu is typical and food decent, nothing special, but cook correctly! The portions are with in price range for typical breakfast. I will say I loved the biscuit...and I am NOT usually a fan 😉 definitely will always pick a biscuit over toast at this spot!!! Kudos Zack's better then Waffle House which is a national chain. Can't wait to try a Hot Dog for lunch. I also hear your chili is great 👍

Absolutely disgustingly good hot dogs. 1st dog was amazing hit the spot 2nd weiner was good 3rd meat pipe was alright 4th throat rocket was rough, that was not a good idea
C W — Google review
Came in and sat down for a few mins. No one came over to take our order but they seemed short staffed. Heard some yelling and noticed 2 employees fighting by the grill like it was waffle house. It's a shame to see such a local favorite go down hill.
Ben M — Google review
Eh. Basic food, overpriced. Their point-of-sale system is confusing. Menu shows price for a combo meal, the way it is rung up is not the same. Cheeseburger used packaged American cheese that seemed placed as an afterthought. Fries were good. Drinks were mostly ice. Overcharged and had to figure out refund, which was a chore. Was not notified service charge would be added (was it for using credit card or just because). Added tip (20%) based on entire check BEFORE realizing overcharge and additional service charge. I doubt we'll return...

Restaurant
Southern-inspired fast-food chain known for fried chicken & biscuit, plus signature sides.
Y’all seem to have really good shift in Friday lunch rush. Quick service fresh food. However the dining area had no one attending and a few crumbs were here and there on the chairs and table. I tried the Apple crisp and just wish I had some ice cream to go with it.
JAMES P — Google review
Went in yesterday to order a family dinner and a robot took our order. Their fries were stale and the chicken tasted NOTHING like bojangles. My husband and I swear they went across the street to food Lion and threw some chicken from there in a box. This does not look nor even taste remotely close to bojangles chicken. Who does that ???
Janae M — Google review
It took so long to get our order we almost left before it came out. We had a one piece dinner and a biscuit. There was a ton of water in the floor and no one was as getting rid of it. It was atrocious. Staff sis not care at all

Had an online pick up order and they never started making my food for the 40 minutes I waited. Even after I arrived they continued to make the food of people who arrived after me first, it was three pieces of chicken. Regardless I left after 40 minutes and seeing the lint fall from the broken vents above the food.

I called earlier today and asked if my food could be made fresh, when I put in my order I requested ( NO Mayo ) on my sandwich I still received a a sandwich with mayo on it when I called the restaurant the manager was completely rude and hung up in my face as I was still talking.
Emani W — Google review
Pulled to drive thru and automated voice came on and once I placed my order a human voice replied that they didn't have the combo that I was requesting, so changed my order and paid for what I requested and my order wasn't correct. Went inside to inform them of the mistake and was told by one of the workers that I got what I requested from the automated system, tried to explain that a male voice took my order but the attitude won't allow her to listen and the male who took my order was the very same guy who took my money and was standing there listening the whole time.

The Spinach and feta cheese omelette is particularly popular, as it is consistently delicious and healthy. The coffee service is exceptional, with cups never going empty. This restaurant is a great place to gather with friends, constantly introducing new menu items that generate interest. Visitors appreciate the well-prepared hash browns and good-tasting grits.
The appetizer onion rings are homemade!! Wonderful service. Excellent food. Loved the cheese grits. Great value; portions, and prices are excellent.

The service was really friendly. My only complaint is that when they're done with you, they're done. When we were almost finished eating, our server brought the bill and left, never to return. I still needed a box, which I had to request from another server. Then I wasn't sure if we paid our server or got up to pay. For those who aren't regulars, you pay at the register near the door. I was told by the cashier they forget that not everyone is a "regular" sometimes. The food was absolutely fantastic. The bacon was just the right amount of crispy for me, which is a feat in and if itself. The coffee was perfect. The grits were pretty good, too. The little person with me loved her French Toast. This was a near enough to a perfect experience that the little things were just that... little things. I plan to become a regular, now that I know where to pay.
Mini — Google review
First time going their and the food looks amazing. I got the Philly and it was decent but the veggies needed to be cooked a bit longer for tenderness and it could use some seasoning. Even with mayo the sandwich with cheese was slightly bland. The bun was amazing though. I will come back to try other dishes everything looks amazing especially breakfast.

The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is great and I didn't have to wait to be seated. My waitress Kelly was very attentive and came back several times to check on me and made sure my experience there was amazing!

The restaurant and food have always been amazing, but today the service we received was the best I have ever experienced at any restaurant. We were fortunate to have Wendy as our waitress. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience.. Thank you Wendy for being amazing.

Best breakfast place in Alamance County, hands down! This is the ONLY place in town that can cook my eggs to perfection. I usually have to throw eggs away if I order them from anywhere because I'm very picky. I don't like slimy or runny or wet looking. Gross! But not to worry when I order from here... I order from here for delivery to my job at least 7 to 8 times a month. And never have they ever cooked my eggs incorrectly! 100% of the time they get it right! I will continue to order from here often.
