I’ve been all over New England, and this has to be the best view anywhere in the six states. I drove up from Bethel and have wanted to visit this and Quill Hill for quite some time. On my way to Rangley. We saw the beautiful view. Pictures cannot describe it. There is plenty of parking for motorcycles cars and maybe a small RV there are no bathrooms. there and the parking lot is paved. There are plenty of signs to explain the history of the area in a big giant sign that says height of lands to take a perfect picture. From this area, you can only see one lake, but it is so beautiful. I recommend anyone who’s lived in New England. Their whole life come visit this area. Especially on a clear day. It is handicap accessible, and we did see hikers in the area. To get a view of Wrigley Lake you’ll have to travel a little bit further down and across the street for that vista. I assume it’s open 24 hours there’s no gate or anything and there is two entrances and exits.

Height of Land in Rangeley, Maine, is a stunning scenic overlook on Route 17. The panoramic views of Mooselookmeguntic Lake and the mountains are breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset. A perfect stop for photographers and nature lovers, it captures the beauty of Maine’s wilderness in every season.

Beautiful view, perfect spot for a quick stretch after flying all day. Little informative plaques tell you the story of the land against a wonderful backdrop. Can recommend a pit stop

If your interested Maine and near Rangley please do yourself a favor and drive to this scenic spot. The view is breathtaking!

Monday April 8, 2024, underneath the eclipse at The Height of The Land is where I proposed to my beloved of 8 years. I planned in advanced using Google Maps combined with other forecast maps and alarms, to literally be the last people to get a spot before the day started. The right place, right time, right environment, and scale of the occasion was just icing on the cake. The Height of Land is a gem to say the least. In the heart of nature, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My recent visit was nothing short of perfect. From the moment I arrived nothing but breathtaking views. The sweeping landscapes and tranquil atmosphere provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. The 'facilities' were immaculate, pristine forest. While waiting for the Eclipse, I had the opportunity to explore the surrounding trails and talk to a bunch of really friendly locals. The atmosphere was simply amazing, with panoramic views that stretch as far as the eye can see; even better. It's an experience that rejuvenates the soul. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful scenic view in a beautiful setting.

The salmon and blueberry baby back ribs were excellent. Good portions, attentive and knowledgeable waitress, very obliging regarding my celiac, even had a gf beer. I’m not crazy about the industrial decor and it was a bit chilly in there, but the place was extremely clean. I highly recommend you try it.

Fantastic. Great atmosphere, great food and drinks. The cauliflower crust pizza was so good I wouldn't have know it wasn't Regular crust. Bacon wrapped poppers were amazing. We tried a few pizzas abs they were all very good.

If you are gluten free, you NEED to check out this place for their pizza option. I have never experienced such amazing gluten free pizza, we even came back a second night just to have the pizza! Such an amazing environment as well. Highly, highly recommend!

Came in with 4 people at 6:45pm on a weekend night and was told they couldn’t seat us at all. We were more than willing to wait as long as we needed and there were tables open but they just told us “no”. Not accommodating at all to customers to even try to fit us in. Host was super rude and even told us not to bother waiting for the bar because “as you can see people are standing there.” It was disappointing, as food is decent.

Excellent food and beverages that pairs well with their hospitality as well.

5/22/2020 update: First dine-in experience after this COVID craziness started. Staff was very professional with plenty of space and precautions. We all felt very safe and welcome. Great new place in Quossoc. Great beer selection, very good food and a friendly staff (Lily was awesome) like most places in Rangeley area. Food came out pretty fast as well. Playground close by for the kids and outdoor seating is available. I definitely recommend this place and will come back next time.

Food is amazing. There is an older woman who works the host stand and she couldn’t have been more rude. Very unfriendly and I’ve been going to Portage for a couple years and never met someone who worked there that was that nasty. If you’re going to work in customer service you could at least be friendly. Very disappointed.

This is absolutely the coolest bowling alley I've ever been to. Fire pit right in the middle. You won't be disappointed! Live music and great atmosphere. We're from Ohio and we were told to stop. Glad we did!! The owner is very nice. One of our best stops on our tour through Maine. ♥️

Arrived at 0900. Was sat within 2 min, had coffee and water quickly. Placed my order within 10 min. I ordered 3 eggs over easy, hash browns and rye toast. 1 hour later the food arrived with no toast. After finishing my meal the toast was brought out. Waitress made a weird joke about it being late saying "better never than late when youre eating eggs" which made absolutely no sense and was in poor taste. Going on 1.5 hours in this establishment waiting for my check now for 15 min as I write this review. It doesnt take long to cook eggs home fries and toast. Strongly recommend going elsewhere for breakfast if you have plans for the day. If you want to sit and wait until lunch to eat your breakfast, this is the place to be.

We went for dinner and some bowling with the kids while on vacation. Super friendly folks. The food took a bit but was pretty good. Bowling was fun and easy with the electronic scoring. Everyone had a blast.

Breakfast was SO GOOD!!! We were also here at night. There was live music, typical bar games, plenty of TV's to watch whatever game is on and a small bowling alley. The best part was the indoor fire pit!! That was so cool! I HIGHLY recommend this place when you visit!

Service was a little slow...think our order might have been misplaced...but after bringing it to their attention our food came out promptly and was very good. Avocado toast and Biscuits and Gravy were great.

Such a beautiful restaurant, bowling alley, arcade, game room, cafe with beautiful features including fire place and really nice interior design and ambiance. The food was so good we ate there 3 times in 2 days and really reasonable prices. They even have great live music!!

Stopped on way to quill hill,wife and I had avocado toast,cinnamon roll and coffee. 1hr and 18 minute wait,$37.50. You got me once,shame on me!

My husband and I celebrated a monthlyversary yesterday and decided to take our first traditional drive up to Rangeley. We visited the town beach and walked around in town for a bit then decided to grab a bite to eat. In all the time I have spent in the area I have never been to Sarges.... totally worth it!!!! My husband has been there and said it was a nice little place to go. I have to agree! The place is very clean and from what I understand they have expanded so there is plenty of seating. The staff is very friendly and personable. The food is next level! We didn't want a meal so we ordered a couple appetizers to share. We ordered the Tater Skins and the Philly Cheese steak Egg Rolls. Both were absolutely Amazing!! The egg rolls came with a special dipping sauce they make in-house that was perfect. We will absolutely be making Sarges our little lunch spot for every visit we make to Rangeley.

First things first, im a nacho slut. I've eaten nachos at most places throughout the state and even beyond. I'm not a picky eater but I do know when somethings good. I stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the loaded nachos. Came out quick, service was friendly, atmosphere was great. Typical sports bar vibe. But these nachos man... top two on my list. One bite everyone knows the rules!! Came out nice and hot but not burnt. Everything was warm and melty the whole way through. Chips were thin cantina style and appear to have been flash fried for extra crisp. Nice fresh veggies, beans, corn, red onion, tomato, jalapeños, house salsa, sour cream. These guys do nachos right, and thats coming from someone who always orders nachos whether he's on the coast or up in the mountains. 5 stars and they are a very close second on my list. Worth every penny.

Conveniently located across the street from the Rangeley Inn & Tavern, Sarge’s is the go-to sports bar in the area. Service was fast, with a great selection of beers on tap. I had one of the best BLT sandwiches ever, here.

Kiddos and I (13, 12, 8) came in here for lunch mid-week. Gotta tell ya....this place is great for classic American sports bar food! We had a mix of salad, chicken fingers off the kid’s menu, hot wings, and a burger with fries and every single ounce was eaten which is rare, especially for the 8-year-old. The beer was cold and fresh, and the service was solid, but they were packed (which is good) but were slightly understaffed being mid-week, hence my 4-stars for service. Overall, though, this is a solid pick if you're passing through Rangeley or staying for a month.....you won't regret coming in here! Wish I could see it during a big sports evening....it’s got to be rocking!

Genuinely the worst place I’ve ever ate in my entire life. I wouldn’t recommend Satan to eat here. Came in with a party of friends, the waitress had a horrible attitude , and I ordered a burger. I asked for it medium cooked and no tomato, she brings it out with TWO tomato’s on my burger and my burger was completely red. Genuinely pathetic service from the cooks and waitress.

Do not waist your time or money. Unwelcoming staff and food is awful. My husband and I ordered burgers medium well and they arrived raw. My son ordered fried haddock sandwich which was frozen haddock not fresh and very fishy tasting. Never got checked on the whole time of being there until they dropped off our bill. Place is disgusting. Very disappointing

Stopped in to find out about hikes in the area. Such a helpful woman at the booth that gave us a trail printout and let us know where the toilets were. Very pretty lake.

Very clean and beautiful campground, quiet, campsites are private and there's plenty of woods between sites. Only a few sites have electric hookups. Generator use between 8am to 8pm. The sites on the lake don't have a lake view. Even the sites off the lake are really nice and private. I will certainly return. Some beautiful trails. The beach is really cool, no sand but granite stairs leading to a rocky swim area.

Only $21 for Maine residents, that was on a weekday not sure if they charge more for weekends. This place has all the amenities, potable water, flush toilets, shower, trash, cell service, etc. Some sites are definitely better than others, try to get one by the lake

Love this general store 💚🫶🏼 The employees were very nice , other customers were very nice. I had a great piece of breakfast pizza, some homemade baked goods and a really good cup of coffee named Bad Bear , I believe. Also bought some pretty cool stickers there that were beside the register 💚🫶🏼

The buffalo chicken wrap is edible. Nothing special whatsoever. Quite lacking on putting enough buffalo and ranch. But stay far far away from the chicken parmesan sub. Came out lukewarm, cheese was not melted, "marinara" was very acidic and basically has no flavor, the fried chicken looked and tasted like it had been cooked several hours ahead of time and tasted like it was cooked in oil that shouldve been changed days ago. Couldn't even finish half of it. The pizza in the warmer looked decent. I'd hope it's safe to get salads. ...At least the food is cheap? 🤣 Pretty indicative, considering the quality. Overall, lazy standards ran by young girls with little to no manners. Loudly saying 'excuse me' with an attitude is redundant.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay in a room at the Haley Lodge. Very clean, with a comfortable king bed and beautiful view of the pond from our private porch. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The tavern was cozy and comfortable; we enjoyed a nightcap there. Perfect location to explore the Rangeley area. The only improvement I would recommend is some new, fluffy/softer pillows.

I have always been a patron of the Rangeley Inn, my family will regularly have meals or drinks in the tavern. But this year, The Rangeley Inn hosted my rehearsal dinner for my wedding, as well as a cocktail hour for my guests. The planning process was smooth and easy thanks to Timothy, who guided us in making food selections and met with me several times. He is a pleasure to work with and offered great suggestions; and boy was that food amazing! My guests enjoyed the rehearsal dinner food more than the wedding food itself! And the staff was so friendly and amazing. I appreciated Timothy checking in with us throughout the evening. Our guests loved the cocktail hour; there is no place like the Rangeley Inn. Many amazing, decorated nooks to sit in and enjoy. Many of our guests stayed at the inn as well and expressed nothing but great things. We have always loved the Rangeley Inn but now it holds an even more special place in my heart!

The staff is friendly and very helpful. The Inn was very quiet which was so appreciated. We loved the area as we could walk to shops and other restaurants, although the food was amazing at the tavern. The dining room offered a wonderful breakfast every morning with a nice variety. A shout out to Mary in the dining room who also works the dinner hours in the tavern and Travis who was always smiling and helpful at the front desk. Couldn’t have asked for better!

I could spend all summer here. With the grace and manner of the old Grand Hotels, the Inn and Tavern exude an old-school comfort and warmth. Whether sitting in the cozy well-appointed lobby, or relaxing on the spacious front porch, one can get lost in the moment and just relax. They have a too-shelf restaurant too, will a new menu in 2025. The staff was friendly and pleasant to chat with and welcome travelers, by putting them at ease. I highly recommend this destination location.

We recently spent 2 nights at this wonderful Inn. From the moment we arrived the hotel staff was so welcoming ( Susan was so nice). The inn still has the charm of a place built in 1906 but had been restored to be with the current times. This place is so clean. Our room was very comfortable, clean & quiet. We had breakfast both mornings and dinner one evening. The food was delicious, much better than most hotel fare. I can’t say enough about how much we loved this place. If you’re local, I highly recommend the restaurant. Our bartender Mary was so friendly and helpful. I wish I could give this place 10 stars.

What a fabulous place to stay! We stayed in the unit facing Haley Pond which was beautiful. Private deck view of the pond. Quiet area and relaxing. The room was clean and well appointed with comfortable sheets and mattress. The location is perfect, walking distance to shops. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The drinks were one of the best! The staff was professional and caring. The inn has done a great job restoring and making modern a historic location.

Homemade Bagels. They open around 6:30. Apparently The Sweet Spot is to go at 7:30 when the fresh donuts come out. Also they have about 10 different coffees to choose from to go or at the counter they also serve a full breakfast. Check out the seating on the back deck too! Keep the AC in and shut the door behind you ;-)

I went to Moosely Bagels 2 days in a row it was so good. I got the Egg and cheese on a croissant and it was the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time. Though the place was quite busy; they still did a good job at getting our food out to us in a timely manner.

We were in town for a week and ordered breakfast on our second day and everything was great. I have an egg allergy and they accommodated me with a breakfast sandwich without egg the first time we went. I attempted to place the same order plus 2 more breakfast sandwiches a week later. The person on the phone said “I can’t do that,” and when I explained that I had an allergy and that they had made me the same order a week earlier, he said “yeah, I’m not doing that,” and then canceled the rest of my order that I’d placed for my friend and husband. Very disappointing service as there is not much in the area and we had a long drive ahead of us.

I asked to add mushrooms to a sandwich and he acted completely inconvenienced. I then asked if I could have my eggs cooked differently (there is a build your own option) and he refused. I let it go and my friend and I ordered anyway..he gave us the total and we said these are two separate orders. He said "well I already did it, cant you just pay each other". Then we couldn't even get our food because the machine was down. The place is so cute but the owner was the most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with in the service industry.

Many unusual and wonderful options to kick bagles up several notches. Coffee selections from the four corners of the earth. Cleverly set up to accommodate the state and peoples concerns regarding Covid-19. Nice and real people!

The woman running the counter needs a therapist or a vacation. She is stressed to the max and takes it out on her customers. The food was nothing to write home about. I would say you are better off getting a snack at the gas station next door.

Very rude here. They have unusual hours/days so you can't assume they will be open when you show up. After we canceled our order and went elsewhere, we were told that it's well known that they are unpleasant.

Some of the BEST poutine I've ever tried!! Staff is courteous and efficient. The food came out fast, the place is clean, the atmosphere is fun. Definitely family friendly. It does get very busy, so get there early to get a table. We tried twice before we were able to get a table. Worth the wait though. Beautiful view out the back window and I bet the large deck in the back would be awesome in the summer.

Good GLUTEN FREE option, desserts too. Staff is knowledgeable and the food was good. Not many GF choices in the area so ended up going back again. I got the lobster roll which wasn't over flowing by any means and the clam chowder with was very good but very watery though the flavor was there. Next trip I got the steak which was over cooked but still good

What a delicious lunch! I love the variety of Autumn cocktails, and particularly liked the haddock, in the fish tacos and the fish and chips. Don’t miss out on the gingerbread dessert. Lovely scenery. Incredible.

Fantastic Thursday afternoon on the deck! Got the lobster roll special and the haddock cakes special. Both excellent! Poutine also a tasty starter!

Food was decent and priced about market, Menu options are a little limited though.It is pub style and good for a lunch or light dinner.. Service was also decent and the waitress did try to keep us served up with drinks and appetizers while you wait ..Do your self a favor and request the back deck if you do go... sitting over the lake and overlooking the backside of town while eating is worth it!

Wow. I just finished eating a warm piece of wild blueberry pie. It was phenomenal. Also, dinner was delicious. I had the baked haddock and it was amazing. Sweet potato fries were delicious too and I'm picky with my fries. Everyone enjoyed their meals very much. Glad we found this place!

Great location, but pizza at The Red Onion is disappointing. Our crust was underbaked (even doughy under the toppings) and generally uninspiring. The toppings were fine. It will do in a pinch if you need pizza, but there are better options.

The Red Onion is a small local restaurant in Rangeley that serves American and specialty pizzas. It caters to tourists visiting Rangeley lake. The homemade lasagna, which was recommended by the waitstaff was mediocre, and certainly not worth the price. The Greek pizza was excellent: it was made with fresh vegetables; flavorful feta; and seasoned properly - deserving of a star. The 'Pesto' Pizza was an entirely different story. First, there was no pesto sauce (see picture below). Perhaps it was hiding below the cheese? No, not there. Perhaps I could not detect it. No, none of us could taste it, see it, or smell it. But it gets better. The staff (management, I believe) claimed that although the name of the pizza was "Pesto Pizza", there was, in fact, no pesto sauce on the pizza - in other words, it was just a name. Seriously. There was no effort made by our waitress to remove the item from the bill, or offer an alternative. I do not recommend this restaurant, unless you want to be disappointed on your vacation.

Loved my pizza! Super nice service. I decided to change my take out to dine in and they were so nice about it. I ate half cheese and half pineapple pizza and it was delicious sauce and delicious base. PS- dont miss the lemon chello cake!

When you're in Rangely... you have to stop here..! Great local food and excellent pizza and they have the perfect chili for those cold days..

We came here to try it out, since the last time I was here was when I was young. I didn’t really remember what it tasted like. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and my partner ordered the Mediterranean pizza. The chicken was great, and they offered to add Italian sausage for $4.00, so I did. This is where they lose a star, because for $4.00, I was expecting dinner sausage. They gave me little pizza sausage mixed in with the pasta and sauce. It was pretty good, just not the good quality dinner sausage I was expecting for $4.00. Hopefully they can fix this in the future. I did try my partners pizza, and the pizza was good, I just wish they offered a doughy crust pizza. I’m not a fan of thin crust. The restaurant was very clean and plenty of tables were available. The bathroom was pretty clean as well. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in town.

Mediterranean Pasta The best Pasta dinner I have ever had, hand down . This is better than any food I had in Italy.

Pine Tree Frosty is a cute and colorful business in the heart of Rangeley, ME.  My visit was great.  The staff was very friendly.  There was plenty of seating.  Behind the building were seats looking out to Haley Pond.  I got a hard vanilla shake.  It was thick and delicious.  If you are in town, stop by Pine Tree Frosty.  It is sure to be a treat even on a cloudy day.

Cutest ice cream shop ever! Yummy Giffords ice cream with a rotating assortment of flavors. Their burgers are also simple and delicious! Sit out back by the pond and watch the ducks :) Cash only FYI!!

Ice cream is my favorite food, and this is my favorite ice cream place! Like everyone else in town I count the days till they open every spring! Amazing ice cream, great options between gifords for hard serve, and best soft serve I’ve ever had! Great food too! Super cute location right on the pond, ample seating, and super friendly staff! Very friendly staff. A good selection of ice cream flavors. Picnic tables, benches, chairs offer a variety of places to sit either in or out of the sun. Fun to watch the ducks out back. Chalk & hula hoops to entertain the kids if you want to stay awhile.

I've been coming here all my life and this is a great place to get great, local ice cream and lobster rolls. There are hoolahoops to play with in the side yard and plenty of seating along a pond.

Really nice place to sit outside and have a burger and beer and enjoy the view! Burgers were good, no gluten free buns but the pizza looked like the better choice. They had hard cider. Great beer selection. The music is too loud.

Sat at the little bar inside. Marie was fantastic and took great care of us. Buffalo wings (dry rub) were very good. Pizza was good, but a little soggy… we got sausage, roasted red peppers and onions. Very popular for take out pizza so they’re definitely doing something right.

It’s the 4th of July crazy busy time in Rangeley with more people in town then Restaurants can take care of. The staff and owners did an amazing job!! While wait times may have been a little long it was expected with the demand on staff and ya know what? They did amazing!!! Great food great drinks. Best pizza in Town!!!

Excellent food! Fries are crispy, bacon jam burger is delicious, and the bread and butter pickle chips are like my grandmother used to make. Sherri was a great server - very friendly and helpful. The view of Rangeley Lake from the patio is beautiful in the fall.

Hands-down the BEST pizza on the East Coast! Furbish blew me away. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming but the food and drinks? Next-level. Their brick oven pizza is absolutely phenomenal, crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. Easily the best I’ve had on the East Coast, no contest. And the cocktails? WOW. Every drink is handcrafted with care and creativity. You can taste the difference fresh ingredients, thoughtful pairings, and a bartender who knows their stuff. Whether you’re in the mood for something bold, refreshing, or sweet, there’s something special on the menu for you. Furbish is a true gem. Can’t wait to come back!

We ate outside had the chicken sandwich it was yummy. I had the blueberry bourbon mule very good. We saw a deer at sunset looking at the lake. It was amazing. Our server was so nice and checked up on us regularly. Loved the entire meal thank you.

We had a group of 7 and was able to get in immediately. Waitress was wonderful. Kept up with all our needs. We did get 3 pizzas which where really good and was cool to see the open fire brick oven they were cooked in. Everything was very clean. It is a little on the pricey side so not somewhere I'd visit on a normal basis. Beautiful views and close to Quill Hill.

Our first choice (brisket) was not available. They were also out of our second choice of pulled pork. Waitress was pushing the steak sub on everyone and said we could not go wrong with it. WRONG. The sub was small and overpriced, and it came with fries that were the hardest fries we ever had. My wife tried to eat her fries with a fork, and the fork would not penetrate the fries. Service was extremely slow. We vowed to never eat there again.

We went to the Shed tonight because my wife loves barbecue. As I read the menu I saw several items that I liked but almost everything on the menu came with French fries. The menu clearly states no substitutions. I have not eaten a French fry since December . I am trying to eat better due to some health issues. There were 3 items on the menu that came with French fries and coleslaw. We asked if we could get double coleslaw. The answer was a firm no . The waitress then suggested that we could eat at another restaurant. So we did. We had a wonderful meal at the Furnish Brew House and Eats. We spent $100 and it was worth every penny. Thanks for pushing us away .

Do not get the Brisket!! All fat. Very nasty!! They should be embarrassed to serve that to customers. The service was great. They just need to learn how to smoke meat. I have been twice before, and it was good. Not this time! Very disappointing. Go to Sarge's instead!

Tasty barbecue option in Rangeley, Maine. I had the brisket sandwich and my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Both sandwiches were served on fresh brioche buns and topped with some awesome coleslaw. The meat was good, but I wish they had some sauces to choose from to add to the sandwich. We ordered an appetizer of fried poutine (French fries topped with gravy and fried cheese curds) - it was delicious. Portions were generous and service was quick.

I'm a tourist. The patrons were lovely and welcomed me immediately. Some men respectfully said I was pretty. Unfortunately this seemed to infuriate the bartender lady, who snapped at me with immediate hostility, demanding to know if I had an ID (I'm 28, turning 29 shortly), then started directing a stream of unprovoked aggressive comments towards me, lasting the entire time I was there. She took my ID and accused it of being fake, and said her husband would need to look at it. He verified it was real but she continued the aggressive behavior anyway. She demanded to know if I had "even had gin before" when I ordered a gin and tonic. She said the names of the gins very quickly and seemed to be treating them like a test, which was bizarre. Later when we were laughing she came back and said aggressively "Is there a reason you're laughing?!" and said that our laughter makes her think that my ID is fake AGAIN. It was like she was looking for any opportunity for a fight. After a stream of other hostile remarks, I felt almost scared, and we decided to leave. Throughout the strange test that she gave me about the names of the gin, I tried to hand her my credit card, because I intended on closing the tab immediately. Throughout this exchange, she repeatedly refused to take it, and for a while it layed on the bartop. Unfortunately, I forgot that I had not already paid, since I already attempted to but failed. She chased after us and yelled. Of course, I immediately turned around and paid for my drink, while she sprayed comments at me accusing me of being a thief. She was the one who made me so uncomfortable that I tried to exit while clearly feeling shaken! I paid in full while apologizing for my mistake, but of course this had no effect. Terrible, frightening experience. I will avoid this lady.

The Shed wasn’t what we thought it would be. Server was decent however the brisket is no good and all fatty. We also got a few other meals from here during this visit and the meal just wasn’t worth it. Save your time and find another place to eat.

Not impressed. Very slow. Took 15 minutes and two people to see if they offered hot tea. The food looked good but had no flavor. It took forever to order drinks alone so we put our food order in all at once and of course it all came out at the same time. The Mac n cheese was dry and the burger and chowder was bland. The side of Brussels sprouts were tasteless as well. No, we didn’t have colds or lose our tastebuds, it was just blah. The salad was the best part of our meal. It was a nice evening to sit outside hence the 3rd star given.

Stopped for lunch and got a table on the deck. Weather was perfect. Server very friendly and attentive. We had fish tacos and a bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. I’d recommend you stop and try them out.

The food was so good. Clam chowder, with haddock tacos znd chips. Diego, our waiter, brought over a basket of chips and salsa while we waited, a short time for our chowder. All of the food tasted great. They were all nicely presented. Whenever we are in Rangley again, we will definitely stop here again. Diego was great. He checked on us many times. Very polite.

We had dinner at the Black Pearl in Rangeley on a Thursday night and it was very good. We sat outside on the porch deck and it was very pleasant outside. The service was good, drinks were excellent, and the food was well done. We will be back! Note: this has replaced the red onion restaurant.

But The Black Pearl in Rangeley, Maine delivered the most poorly executed meal I’ve had in years. I ordered a dish that sounded promising: Chicken with apple glaze, risotto, and Brussels sprouts. But what arrived was the ghost of what it should have been. No apple glaze—none. And when I asked, I was casually told they had run out. That sauce was the core of the dish. No heads-up, no substitution, no apology. Just a dry, flavorless chicken breast and a shrug. The risotto? Not risotto. A watered-down pile of rice with no hint of wine or chicken stock, no creaminess, no depth—just disappointment in every bite. And the Brussels sprouts were equally uninspired. To add insult to injury, this meal was charged at full price without correction or care. The truth is this: whoever is running that kitchen does not belong in one—at least not without guidance. It’s one thing to make a mistake. It’s another to serve uninspired food without accountability, in a town that thrives on tourism and first impressions. I’m not a city snob. I love small-town gems. I support aspiring chefs. But this wasn’t just a bad meal—it was a case of a restaurant trying to serve food it clearly doesn’t know how to prepare. If The Black Pearl is serious about offering quality dining, I am more than willing to offer my expertise to train the staff and kitchen. Proper execution, service, and culinary fundamentals can be taught. What cannot be taught is care. That has to come from the top. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values their time, money, or palate. If you want to roll the dice, go ahead. But this is not a meal I’ll forget—unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

The food was tasty but waited about an hour. Don't be in a hurry. The outside doors were open, and there were quite a few flies around. Steak tacos are very small, and only 2 for 14 bucks and substitute chips for soggy sweet potato fries for $2. It was not busy at all.

We've been here twice since they opened and loved everything both times. Food is delicious, great choices, good beer menu, staff was friendly. Service isn't going to be fast, but you don't go to Rangeley if you're looking to rush! Can't wait to go back!

A positive takeout experience! The order came out quickly and the food was good! I'll order out from Blue Orchid again next time I'm in town.

The takeout experience was exceptional, from start to finish! The employee who took my phone order "smiled" as he provided helpful info. The facility was above-and-beyond COVID-19 compliant, including all staff wearing face coverings. The three varieties of dumplings we ordered were delicious, as were the spring rolls, house fried rice, Tom Yum soup, and Pad Thai. The Chili Chili Duck was amazingly lean, meaty, tender, loaded with vegetables and YUMMY! Electron Brown Ale, which tastes just like coffee, and Thai Iced Tea complemented the meal very well, and so did the unique homemade desserts. We have leftovers for another meal!

Today we got take-out from Blue Orchid. The woman behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming! The food was outstanding; so fresh and scrumptious!!! We will definitely be back!!! We ordered the spring rolls which were delicious! The pineapple rice was outstanding! The Pad Thai was out of this world!! The spicy drunken noodles was made to perfection!!! We finished with a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie; delicious!!! What a wonderful find in Rangeley Maine!!!

Lovely, charming and inviting, family-owned, family-friendly Thai restaurant serving favorites that you wouldn't expect to find in a small town. Service is attentive, warm and friendly. The spring rolls and orange chicken I ordered were served hot and on time. The Blue Orchid is easily visible on Main St. in Rangeley and is a great place to stop for good Thai food at a reasonable price.

Small family owned restaurant with amazing Thai food! We typically eat there but takeout is popular as well. I've enjoyed everything I've had but the edamame dumplings and anything duck is my favorite. We have lived outside of 3 major cities and finding our favorite Thai restaurant in Rangeley Maine was a pleasant surprise!

You would not expect to get great Thai food this far from a city but you can at this place. Very friendly owners who were happy to adjust any dish to your liking. I mentioned I love pad see ew and they offered to make it even though it wasn't on the menu and it was delicious!

Family-owned small business. They learned from an acclaimed Thai chef and the food is amazing. Highly recommend the massaman curry or the hot pots are fun, but we’ve never had anything but great food here!

Located right on the lake! Kayaks and canoes available. Clean bathrooms and showers. Near some great restaurants and not far from great hiking options. We loved that it is owned by a non profit. Also, the staff was very nice.

We go here camping every year for a week. Absolutely a beautiful campground. Very Dog friendly, they need to be on a leash at all times, they can go swimming from the beach, its also beautiful for kyacing, boating, canoeing, swimming, fishing. Recommended highly.

What a great campground. Clean bathrooms and facilities, spacious level sites, quiet atmosphere. Listened to the loons and the water splashing against the lake shore. Staff was very helpful with a little camper problem we had.

This is our favorite campground. We bring our own camper, but the rental tents look nice. Cupsuptic is family friendly, has limited amenities, and is a beautiful place to visit. Boats and slip rentals are available. There is a bouyed-off swim area near the beaches. There is no dock fishing on site, so no worms needed. There is a public dock you can fish off of if you drive a little ways further down the highway. The ducks and chippys that wander onto the sites are quite friendly.

if i could i would rate this place 0 stars. it is an incredibly beautiful area of maine ruined by rude staff. they accused me of speeding around the campground at 20mph which i was not to which they told me my speedometer must be broken, which is not only false but also disrespectful. this encounter alone was enough to make me leave a day early. they also accused my sister of not being of age to buy alcohol and were sarcastic when she corrected them that she in fact is of age. heather and randy are incredibly rude and unprofessional, i would recommend camping elsewhere

Loved it! Very peaceful and quiet at Cupsuptic Lake Park and Campground. The trees around sites creates a forest setting. We appreciated the small size of the campground.

What a great campground! So friendly and the views are stunning. The sites are roomy and the facilities are spotless! Can't wait for another camping trip.

This little museum is worth a trip! There's so much packed into it! As you enter there is a recreated room from a historic log cabin with its furniture, accoutrements and a short video documentary about Rangely Lakes you can sut down to. Other rooms have historic items and artifacts from the area. My favorite are the First Nations stone tools and artifacts. The gift shop has tempting items as well. There's a pub across the street, a country store kitty corner, and good parking so you can take your time relax, visit the museum, grab a bite or a drink, all walking distance.

One of my favorite museums I’ve been to and absolutely the best museum about the culture, history, and nature of northwest Maine. There are great taxidermy fish and animals, plus huge mounts of caribou and moose antlers. There’s a lot of great detailed info about the local fly fishing history and the gift shop is full of unique and beautiful artwork. Not to mention the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, they seem super passionate about their jobs!

Loads of interesting stuff here staffed by charismatic people. Today they had a person carving using a chain saw, as well as people who were tying flies. Well worth your time to drop in and check out a great small museum!

This is such a wonderful museum, very interesting about the Rangely Lakes region, fly fishing history, interesting maps and stuffed fish, beautiful art! And some of the original flys made by the famous artisans.

I had not visited the Outdoor Heritage museum in Oquossuc in several years and this time it was even better than I remembered. The exhibits really give you a great impression of the interesting outdoor history of the region. The young lady (Ashley) working at the museum the day I visited with my friends was very helpful as she provides us with a brief spiel about the the main museum exhibits as well as other interesting info about the area. Along with her local knowledge it turns out she is one of the leading real estate agents in the Rangley region. All in all the museum was one of the highlights of my recent camping trip to Oquossuc and I am sure I will visit again.

What a great place to visit. My boyfriend and I were passing through on our vacation and decided to stop in and so glad we did. We got to learn about the Rangeley area history.

Amazing. Quill Hill is in a spot that most tourists won't visit. It's too far from the coast. But if you want one of the best single views in the entire state of Maine? This is it. There's no fee, but there is a donation suggestion box. It even has a bar code you can scan to donate using venmo. I plan on going back , especially during the fall. It's open May through October.

Wow! What beautiful views. I was most impressed by the well made and well maintained road. Please do go slowly and watch out for others who do not.

Quill Hill is by far the best viewing spot in the state, without climbing a mountain to get there. The access road is windy, but wide and well maintained. Plenty of viewing spots and this place is open all day and night from May to November.

My friends got married at the top of Quill Hill on a Wednesday at sunset, and my God it was gorgeous. The drive is a little bumpy but it didn't affect anything. I thought I had already seen all the beauty I would see in Maine, but the top of Quill Hill is so unlike anything else. I truly had my breath taken away from me and felt my legs give out a little when I saw it.

Amazing views, but definitely not worth $10. This is not a park. It is a beautiful series of views until you reach the top with the ultimate 360 degree view. I'm disappointed the developer has decided to charge people when it has been free for several years, and the current price is over inflated, considering you can get into Acadia National Park for only $10 more.

Classic Provisions is the cutest coffee shop in Rangeley. The cold brew is amazing, and they even have unique cold brew concoctions that make your coffee feel special. The pastries are fresh and full of flavor you can truly taste the love. I had the best quiche ever. A cozy, delicious stop every time.

Delicious blueberry coffee cake. It wasn’t that busy when I ordered (my husband got his drink right away) but my simple iced coffee got forgotten. After 4 other people were served their coffees, I asked the girl who I ordered from about it and she apologized but another one of the staff questioned if I had paid for it! 🙄 I paid when ordering, but I guess my 20% tip had no effect 😑

The blonde woman who took our order has a bad attitude and not welcoming whatsoever. I shouldn't have given a tip. The food is just alright. Not bad, not great. Although, the haddock and bacon soup is definitely tasty. But for the price? I had expected better quality, and a better effort to give good service. The young girl who handed me our food was sweet, though.

Two of us came for breakfast - great location with sweet lake view out back. Pretty and clean inside. Tempted by day old discount bakery items when we ordered and should have stuck with that: berry crumble we took to go and ate later was good. Ordered burrito and breakfast bowl. Massive amount of food but potatoes were so salty we couldn't eat them and had to throw them out. Hate to waste food but yikes! Egg/cheese combo was gummy and didn't have much flavor. Overall kinda yuck (except for the crumble) and left us super thirsty all day on trail. Staff seemed kind of distracted?

I was in town visiting and I stopped by this place for a coffee. When I noticed a cinnamon coffee cake, I added that to my order. and took it to-go. The cake was SO DRY and stale, it was un-edible and I had to throw it away. Later in the day I ran into someone I met and they asked me where to get a coffee I mentioned this place and they said they had been there already that morning and they didn't think it was good at all. You guys NEED to do better. It is a treat for many of us to spend $10 on a piece of cake and a cup of coffee- it really shouldn't be a disappointment. The staff were not "rude" but the two women were as close to the line as you can get. I felt unwelcome, next time I'm in Rangeley, I will go elsewhere.

The gluten-free, dairy-free blueberry cake was amazing. Breakfast sandwich (gluten-free bread available) also amazing. Very accommodating with allergies. Super friendly staff. They sell coffee by design coffee, if you were wondering. Cozy atmosphere right by the pond.

Classic Provisions is located between the Rangeley Inn and Frostys in downtown Rangeley. It is open from 8-2 5 days a week. The food is superb! The sandwiches have lots of goodies. Some food is unique for those who want to try something different, but it's all good! Check it out!

Love this lake the best cold water and clean and clear

Rangeley Lake in Maine is absolutely beautiful and the perfect place for a relaxing day on the water! We rented a pontoon boat and had such a fun time cruising around, soaking up the sun, and taking in the stunning mountain views. The water was calm, the scenery was breathtaking, and the whole experience was peaceful yet full of adventure. Highly recommend renting a pontoon here — it’s the best way to enjoy everything Rangeley Lake has to offer!

I go snow mobile next weekend at rangeley lake for few years with my dad & bother , friends, family… The foods is great expensive at restaurants & gas prices are super high because snow mobile season only … the log cabin on Rangeley lake we rented was super clean smell good …

I have been coming Rangeley and Rangeley Lake since I was a kid. The waters are clean and clear and the water albeit colder than most lakes in Maine always has a unmatched beauty that you can sit and watch for hours. The wind can frequently pick up across the lake and the water can become choppy. Winter time sees the lake freeze over and is the perfect opportunity to take a sled across. Definitely one of the best lakes in the state. With the visit year after year.

Amazing lake - tranquil, lots of things to do on it, great views. It's a great place to vacation. In the summer time there are places you can rent boats or jet skis, kayaks and more. Two towns - Rangeley, and Oquossoc offer plenty of dining options, both reachable by boat.

What an absolute gem in western Maine. Beautiful 90 ft waterfall. To access the falls is tricky, the location of this is the exact coordination of the falls but not to the trailhead. Start at angel falls parking lot, go all way to the end after the Y fork. Beware this is an unpaved, bumpy road. Youll need suitable car to handle this road. At the end of the lot it might get confusing, the trail starts at the left side, southwards. Down that trail around quarter mile, youll see a river you have to cross. From there follow the red markings, youll have to cross the river three more times. Total .75 miles to the angels. Enjoy and be safe!

This is a beautiful gem in the wilderness. Would highly recommend going... The walk isn't too long but you get a good exercise too. Cross a couple streams. I wish I could stay here forever 🩵💙

Great secluded spot to have a hike, see nature and take a dip in the pools below the waterfall. Great place to take pictures and explore. Make sure you know how to get there ahead of time an don’t bring a low profile car. You drive on a dirt road, before you park and hike the rest of the way. We had a blast.

Found a beautiful chunk of amethyst in a creek bed. So fun!

Worth the hike but be aware it’s a very rocky climb with some water obstacles. Directions were not very clear on some maps on how to get there. Down load directions as there is no service so you lose gps I’m 80 and did it

This place is a delightful surprise. It was not crowded when we came in. We sat at a table by the window with a nice view of the town of Oquossoc. The staff was pleasant but the Oquossoc French Toast made with Sour Dough bread was fantastic. Anyone who likes French Toast should try it.

My wife and I went here to have breakfast. Since we came about 45 minutes before the end of the breakfast serving time, there were only three tables of people being served probably because of Covid-19, the time of year and/or the time of day. Nevertheless, our service, the restaurant decor, and above all the food was outstanding! I overwhelming recommend this restaurant. We each ordered omelets. They filled more than half the plate but they were also higher than the fork prongs off the bottom of the plate. The chunks of potato home fries were large as well and filled the rest of the plate. We had tomato, green pepper, onion, cheese (lots of cheese) and three eggs and perhaps more in our omelets. They were the best omelets we both can remember eating. And we have eaten omelets all our lives at many restaurants and homes. We both come from farm backgrounds so this is coming from well-versed experience. The omelets were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal as we savored the food and our coffee. But let me add, I also had two slices of gluten-free toast and my wife enjoyed two very large, thick slices of multi-grain toast. We were not rushed and our visit was a rich experience. Again, I highly recommend eating here.

Had late lunch. Nice friendly waitress. Nice selection. Side salad was awesome. Black and blue prime sandwich was verrrry good, could have cut off some of the fat. But great. Ice cream is excellent. I recommend this highly.

Stopped for Breakfast. Many great-sounding choices. Very reasonable prices. Beautiful place, beautiful morning so we sat outside. All four of us were happy with our selections. Quick and attentive service. Next time we're in the area we want to stop and try more items on the breakfast menu.

The place is beautiful to be in and look at. I suppose we should have taken a hint when the entire restaurant was empty besides us. The food was ok, I got the crab cakes but unfortunately they made me very sick after eating them. The majority of our party of 7 was not impressed by the food we had. The presentation and everything was wonderful but it did not live up to its looks.

Terrible service, mediocre food. It took an HOUR to get our food. Our waitress never once checked on us, so once our drinks were empty, they were empty. The guy bussing the tables lumbered around the dining room muttering angrily under his breath, which made me very uncomfortable. When we finally got our food, my waffle tasted like bisquick and my bacon was rubbery. I won't be returning.

Went to the Gingerbread House after it was recommended by locals. It was a very poor experience. As we waited to be sat for breakfast we watched a waitress heat up a plate of eggs Benedict in the microwave...not a promising sight. We were then sat and waited a very long time for a waitress to come greet us and take our drink order. My young daughter and her friend ordered hot chocolate and the milk that came with it was sour...not just on the edge of sour, but nasty and WAY past the date bad! No white bread for toast...how can a breakfast place run out of white bread? Food just barely edible and dirty tables all around. The waitress was pleasant, but that’s the only good thing I can say about this place!

After waiting almost 45 minutes for our meal we were very disappointed. The cole slaw was forgettable, the French fries were limp and my husband's fish was marginally cooked. My six shrimp were fine but after the dinner we had to stop somewhere else for ice cream to make ourselves feel better. We will definitely not go there again.

Completely awful service, attitudes, Even the owner was rude. Our waitress slammed things down on the table and gave so much attitude. Don't even bother. We waited well over an hour for 2 meals and I ordered a prime rib sandwich that was more like a fat sandwich. No meat. And lobster stew was all shell.

Great food, great service, the people are very nice. I even have a personalized cup that is always a good pour. I highly recommend eating, drinking, or both, you will not be disappointed. I live in Rangeley and it is always worth the drive to experience the greatness of this establishment.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice common areas and good dining. The problem is the rooms. Build in 1950 and not sure when the last updates. Badly in need of a facelift. Mattresses and pillows seem very inexpensive model and not comfortable. No wifi in rooms and no cell coverage (at least for AT&T). Pictures on website of room I had made it look a LOT better than it was.

Absolutely love it here. Stayed twice over the past 18 years and it's like being home. Margie is a sweetheart and Steve's cooking is top rate.

We had our wedding here in 2011,It was incredible to say the least, the food was spot on,they booked a great band and a incredible time was had by all!!!we look forward to returning.

Excellent rest area right next to Rt 4. You can have a picnic among some beautiful falls and even stretch your legs with a short walk. If you're there in April, you might catch the kayak race!!

What a pleasant surprise and a super easy hike around the area. We knew this was a gem, but wow! It blew us away. The falls are incredible, and the hiking is just what you need after a drive. Do not pass this place up.

Beautiful falls! Very easy to get to and lots of parking. There are stairs required to get to it so be aware of that. Bug spray is a must if it’s warmer weather. There is a little bridge you can cross to stand right in front of the falls and there are paths down to get in the water. Loved it here. Highly recommend!

Very fun place. Amazing how the water has carved through the rock over the years to form such a magical place. Several fun falls and pools to venture to along the path. Very fun place to go on a hot day.

What's not to love about a easy hike, beautiful waterfall, great swimming and a very clean park that's free?! Bathroom and picnic tables are available. Keep it clean, carry in, carry out!

New to Maine or don't really know where to go but want to get outside? This is the place!! Our kids (13, 12, 8) absolutely loved this place. It's free, parking is plenty, bathroom on-site, and easy and very short "hike" to the falls. Lots of areas to swim and do some cliff jumping (~6 feet up to around 60 feet for the couragious). The scenery is amazing and this place would be a great place for an afternoon of swimming and having a picnic for a family. Highly recommend you check this place out! **Recommend you wear water shoes due to the sharp rocks if you'll be cliff jumping**

Great det of falls. Multiple holes yo take a dip. Picnic tables and public facilities

Short, rocky trail. I did the first 3/4 in flip flops with my dog but didn't go all the way to the top. Wouldn't have been a problem if I had been wearing actual shoes. Short trail. Driveway to get to parking area is steep and has some holes in it. I was the only one there, so not as busy as other trails to waterfalls.

Trail map was illegible and I had no service to download a map. Trail was overgrown and I didn't hear water so I am guessing it's a longer walk. Parking lot is tiny and steep. Locals don't seem impressed by it with Smalls Falls down the road. I'm not dissing the place but you must be a pretty good hiker to go here

Been going to Rangeley for more than 15 years and this was the first time we have been on this hike. It was fantastic. The scenery was amazing. The hike was not basic but not difficult either. We will definitely be going back.

Great place to take the kids for a hike. Lots of places to stop off along the way to get in the water.

Took the ride up the lift to have brunch at The Nest restaurant. Beautiful views. The food was pricey but very good. Web site says no flip flops allowed but you can go barefoot and carry them. We kept them on and nobody said anything.

We went on fall foliage ride two and a half hours to get to the October fest at saddleback It was a gorgeous day to play outside and we took advantage of the lift to the top for the view. No bathrooms open up there so didn’t stay long . Good brew and fun watching the keg toss and the stein hoist . The music was ok. But after a couple hours we realized that was it for entertainment and i would say the crowd they catered to was younger than us . We had fun anyways 😀

Went in March and got 20 inches of snow. Had lots of fun. All ski trails were open. The skiing is amazing and the on-mountain restaurant is beautiful and delicious. Ski in ski out lodges are comfortable. Plus the lift tickets are not too expensive. The best part if you’re there for skiing is that the lift lines are so short definitely going back. Also Mickey Meader is wrong and the staff at the nest are nice.

Wonderful place to hike in the fall, beautiful views and great color. From the top you can see Mount Washington in New Hampshire, to the north Canada and beautiful Rangeley lake.

Saddleback Mountain doesn't offer much anymore since the ski resort close. However, it is an excellent place to hike. Many of the mountains in this area of Maine don't have very good views from their summits. Saddleback is one of the exceptions. You have 360 degree views from the summits of both Saddleback and the Horn. If you hike both summits it's roughly seven miles. You can choose to skip the Horn and your hike will be less than four miles up and back. I recommend the 3.4 mile round trip to the Horn. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing hike along AT south bound over the saddleback range section, between Railroad Rd. and Rt 4. Beautiful hike. Very beautiful topography, easy to moderate technical bouldering and a challenging ascent (from both directions).

A Solid Culinary Experience with Thoughtful Touches The Corner Bar was a pleasant surprise — the kind of place where you can tell the kitchen cares. The food is well-executed, with small plates that fall somewhere between tapas and elevated bar fare. The deviled eggs were a standout — simple, but done right — and a great way to start. As someone with a background in the culinary world, I’ve learned to appreciate the small details, and this menu had quite a few. I ended up trying most of the dishes, and there wasn’t a single one that felt out of place. Everything had balance and intention behind it. The drink selection was on point, and service was attentive without being overbearing. It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel welcome whether you’re dropping in for a quick bite or spending a couple hours trying the full range. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Cool place for drinks and eats. They close early. Want to go back and have more food! Bar and table seating. A selection of entree and appetizers artfully presented. Looks like they do a big business with fancy martini drinks. They also have beer and wine. Large windows offer good views. A mix of tourists and local people. Prices a little higher but you pay for what you get.

Excellent food and drinks. I have to say the menu was so different from other bars - it was really refreshing to see their options. And our server was also very kind. Highly recommend paying a visit to this bar. Must get the maple whiskey pudding!

Delicious cocktails and bar foods. We got the seafood board and everything was great, although the toasts aren't something we generally care for. The special deviled eggs of the day are worth getting. Service was friendly. The place isn't very big, so it got a bit noisy as it filled up. But the seating is comfortable.

Amazing food, the truffle fries were to die for, and the beer cheese was absolutely phenomenal. Great prices compared where we’re used down in southern Maine. Waitress was quick, and pleasant!

A cozy spot with seasonal & creative cocktails and small bites. Artichokes and the deviled egg specials are a favorite of mine. Service is always friendly and attentive!

We hired a guide for the day and had a blast. Logan was great and took us to some amazing spots. I had never been fly fishing before and his instruction was excellent, not to mention patient. And the Rangeley region of course is beyond beautiful. Highly recommend!!!

This shop is incredible , affordable prices , a very good selection , and the staff are more than willing to answer questions you might have while browsing through the store , I will definatley be a frequent shopper , I live within a couple miles of Cabelas and this little hidden gem makes cabelas look like amateur’s !!!

This is a classic small town fishing tackle shop with friendly owners and staff. We always stop when fishing in the area, just to say hi and to get current reports. Their fishing reports can be very helpful, especially re the flies to use and we had an amazing afternoon on the Magalloway one day thanks to the recommended flies. Pricing is reasonable, recommendations are sound, plenty of helpful advice. Spend a few dollars to help the shop stay open for the benefit of all!

My experience over years of going to the shop Or ordering on line has been Excellent. The owners Are very helpful and have just about everything you will need to get out on the water. They also carry a Surprisingly well stocked supply of fly tying materials and tying tools.

Awesome views and a tough course. Hilly terrain for the most part, tough greens and a few fun drives.

Lovely views but outrageously overpriced for a very low quality course. The fairways are anything but level and the greens are filled with dead spots. Good luck finding a ball cleaner with water in it. Pretty much everything about this course is subpar and they have the audacity to charge $65. Tourist trap leave the clubs at home.

Beautiful views. Front 9 way more interesting than back 9. The course needs some love and desperately needs water.

Back again, love the course. Remember when the ball rolled, greens were small and rolled true. This course plays like original golf. Course conditions are wonderful and staff is on top of everything. Pull in and a cart server arrives, “Would you like a cart for todays round?” Register at the pro shop and cold drinks and snacks are there. Away you go. I promise my next visit will be with Tony Penna woods and irons. Old school golf clubs and with modern golf balls! A must play in Maine. Gear up and make the trip up to Rangeley.

Lovely Old New England style 18 hole course. Grand views on the front 9. Challenging enough for medium to advanced players. Fun!

Very nice and beautiful 18 holes. The views are fabulous, the course is dry due to the drought, but the greens are in very good condition 👌. Very friendly folks at the pro shop also. A word to the wise, I always walk and this course will wear you out, especially the front side!! I'll be back for another 18, but with a cart. 😉

Beautiful location. Comfortable bed. The rest was down right average to underwhelming for the price. We stayed in a lakeside room, the noise above us was terrible. Not at all a quiet relaxing retreat as advertised. The furnishings in the room were cute antiques, but were broken or falling apart. Staff the greeted us on entry were pleasant enough but weren’t interested in letting us know anything more about the property other than where our room was. I’d save your money.

This lakeside lodge is such a beautiful place for a wedding. The white tent by the water creates a romantic setting that looks amazing in photos. Having photographed weddings here, I’ve found some great spots around the property for portraits and candid moments. It’s a venue that makes the whole day feel special and truly memorable.

Amazing stay. Quiet, Personal, quaint, and serene. Off season is wonderful. I don't have anything to compare it to, so I can only say it is wonderful. No TVs, just the view as seen from the porch in the picture above. Clean. Vintage furnishings.

What an amazing experience! The food is spectacular, fresh, perfectly delicious! The environment is historical, clean so beautiful!! And the service was excellent. This is one of my favorite restaurants. My parents are staying at the lodge and their room is wonderful.

Best waterfront restaurant location in Rangeley. Superb bartender Jarrod, great service and personality. Food was excellent, definitely order the pot stickers and Reuben made with house corned beef. Expect food and alcohol pp cost $40-$50

Beautiful location and beautiful rustic lodge atmosphere. Very good service. The food is overpriced and just fair at best. Grilled Mahi Mahi was dry and flavorless ( I requested soy sauce to pour over it to make it tolerable). Another entree at our table (Halibut) was also overcooked and dry. Salad greens were very fresh but there was hardly any dressing (Blue Cheese) on it which was disappointing as it was good. Another salad (Cesar) was ok. Portobello and Polenta entree was good. Bread and butter was $8.00. Didn’t get desert. Will probably return because of the location and the building/venue but would most likely eat at their pub and hope for the best regarding the food.

My best place to be spoiled at. Amazing food, views & atmosphere. I was at the Pickford Pub. Filet mignon was spot on exactly how I wanted it.

Great place to watch the skiers. Wish the service was better, and the food prices are very high ($20 for 6 wings 😟). We’ll come back for something to do, but won’t order food.

Chef CoCo and team absolutely kill it. Every single product out of the kitchen is a fusion of amazing flavor and variety. Best service, best view, and truly a hidden gem for all food lovers. Bonus is a ski mtn to look at!

I went to the pub for lunch. I ordered the club sub I think it was. So. Much. Food! But oh so good! Meals were in the $20 range but it's virtually 2 meals. My son loved the turkey sandwich as well. Stop in!

Great place to relax with a drink or two after a long day of riding. Very helpful staff and awesome mountain vibes. Live music made it perfect.

I was met by a hostess that gave me the choice of a table or the bar. Once seated at the bar it took a bartender twenty minutes to ask me if I wanted a drink. He claimed the pile of plastic cups at the end of the bar kind of hid me from sight. I asked him for a menu because I was hungry. He never returned. I was also confused on who was a bartender and who was a table waitress. They were all standing in a circle chatting and flirting and paying no attention to the customers. I felt alone in the pub. I felt very small and not important. No one bothered to say hello and how my day was. I had to ask for my tab to pay for the one beer I purchased. I’ve been a pass holder since the mountain reopened and I miss Sugarloaf’s Bag and Kettle where I got excellent service. None of these bartenders had any personality at all. First time I left zero tip.

Had a nice time !! Warm in cozy with a open feel. The Great Crew you have working here Outstanding and First Class Service all the way.
