The Edge

Amusement center

Go-karting venue
Laser tag center
The Edge in Belleville is an entertainment center that offers a wide range of attractions for the whole family. One of its main features is the multi-story laser tag arena, claimed to be the largest in the world at over 14,000 square feet. With a capacity for up to 60 players and various game formats, it promises an exhilarating experience. Additionally, visitors can enjoy bistro dining and recliners while watching movies in one of the five theaters available.
I spent a fantastic day with my teenage children. Surprisingly, I even had a great time. We bought the summer unlimited day special. The special $30 per person price included laser tag, go-carts, and bumper cars. Although I am older and not so in shape, it was an enjoyable time! Laser tag was a cardio workout; we were all sweaty when we were done. Ensure you wear shoes and no flip-flops; another guest was turned away. We spent around $90. It can get expensive to enjoy all The Edge has to offer. This location offers much more, but we had a long drive home and didn’t enjoy everything. An arcade area as you walk in costs about $.50 &up per game. There was a bowling alley, which I wanted to enjoy, but it was closed. There is also a concession stand, a bar, and a restaurant, including a movie theater. The staff was terrific and helpful. We plan to visit at least twice a year if permitted. Would recommend.

I can't visit this place often enough! Honestly, every time I go, I have a great time. The atmosphere is perfect for my children, and there’s also a fantastic area for adults like me. The location is always clean, and everyone is nice – it truly creates a wonderful environment for my experience. While I can't speak for anyone else, I think it's awesome! They literally have a little bit of everything to make the best out of any situation.
Brandon J — Google review
Rude staff and lazy staff. Saying whenever the staff show up then that’s when they can open up the go karts. Which wouldn’t be until 2-2:30pm or whenever they decide to. Plus bumper cars don’t open until 5-6 pm. Crazy! Why open at 12 with only the game room and movies open! I would not recommend them to anyone . Plus they are pricey!! They didn’t open up go karts until 4 pm !!!! Sad.

We booked the upstairs private event space for a surprise 50th anniversary party, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Zach and the entire team were a pleasure to work with—flexible, attentive, and full of great recommendations. The pricing was very reasonable, and everything went off without a hitch. Deran was phenomenal; his professionalism and energy elevated the entire evening. The bar back (whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch) went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. The food was absolutely delicious—we received countless compliments from our guests, and many even asked to take some home. A special thank you to Randy and the kitchen team for delivering such an incredible menu. Most importantly, the surprise was a success! It was a truly special night, and we are so grateful to the staff for making it all possible. Highly recommend for any private event!
Keesha D — Google review
Overall a good experience. Laser tag was well done as were the go karts. Building and games could use some TLC. Lots of arcade games non-operational. A few have the rubber edging peeling my off the game housing. Fun experience but it feels beyond time for the owners to invest in updates
Shawn F — Google review
We drove 2 hours to try this place with the kids a few weekends ago. It's dirty ,when you first walk in you definitely notice. It's extremely over priced. None of the attractions worked except for the go karts and bumper cars. Only about 1/3 of the arcade games worked. Once we got tickets for the bumper cars/go karts and saw what we were dealing with, everyone wanted to leave and go somewhere else. We spent over $70 for 2 adults and 2 kids to ride the bumper cars and go karts twice! I asked the front for a refund since none of us wanted to ride anything but they said no. We were literally in there for 5 minutes before I went back and asked. They exchanged the tickets for arcade cards, better than nothing, I guess. I should have read all the reviews before dragging my family here but I only looked at the website. The website should be taken down, its nothing like it says it is. I don't think anyone working there actually cares about the place or if it lasts.
Amy W — Google review
I came here to hangout with my friends before we headed off to college. We played arcade games, but majority of them were out of service. When we tried to get something to eat a man took us to a table and told us "Kaitlyn will be with you shortly." 40 mins had gone by and we haven't been asked what we would even like to drink. I saw the waitress we were told would help us walk by our table multiple times, even swear she saw us, but not once did she approach us. She would help the booths right next to us though. We tried multiple times to get their attention, but failed to. We ended up just leaving, don't think we'll be back.

Family, Date or single person hang out. Lots of games, ticket earning games, VR games, 6 lane bowling, indoor cart racing, bumper cars and laser tag! Bistro movie theater, indoor and outdoor seating. Handicap accessible entry, bathrooms and second floor. They have lots to choose from on the menu, two large bars and dozens of televisions with all the sports games playing upstairs and downstairs.

Skyview Drive-In

4.5
(2000)
Drive-in movie theater
Movie theater
Located in Belleville, Illinois, the Skyview Drive-In is a nostalgic outdoor cinema that has been in operation since 1949. It is the only drive-in theater in the St Louis area and offers a unique movie-watching experience. In its prime, it boasted one of the largest screens in the Midwest and featured additional attractions like a Ferris wheel, miniature train, and pony rides. The drive-in has undergone renovations over the years to maintain its charm.
My wife and I had a fantastic experience here. It had the cozy, nostalgic feel we were looking for, including the classic intermission snack ads. A lot of people in the reviews were complaining about weed smoke, but we didn't get even a hint of it. We sat close to the front of our screen, so that might be the trick. They have Porta potties (probably the only negative), so prepare for that. Overall, it delivered on what we were expecting and the prices, especially if you use Groupon, can't be beat.
Dan B — Google review
Not a fan of how the layout it. Starlite in Desota, Mo is way better layout. They allow you to sit in a grass area in front of screen. They have vehicles that park on ramps. The bathroom here at Skyview is not very clean. I am parked in very back because my vehicle is a SUV. I see other SUVs in the car parking area. Nothing but weed smell and they say I should report it. Yeah that’s not a good idea. Will be my last visit here. I rather drive another 40min for a better experience in the country.
Honest R — Google review
What a fun experience! It was my first time at a drive in theater and I am so glad that Skyview was my first experience! We will definitely be back!
Tarah G — Google review
This was our 2nd season attending Skyview, we love the drive in! I recommend arriving early in order to get a good spot. Kids are free with the purchase of an adult admission. They usually show new releases, but they mix in classic movies as well.

I have never had a more poor experience than what happened tonight. This was my 1st time here. When I checked in I was given a paper for the orange section that had the rules for that section. One of the rules was there listed states do not raise lift gates and doors higher than the top clearance of the vehicle. This was ignored by the staff. All vehicles with tailgates and hatch backs had them raised above the top of the vehicles which blocked our view of a quarter of the screen. Another rule on this paper states use of Marijuana is strictly forbidden and people breaking this rule may be asked to leave if it's violated. Again this was not enforced by the staff. When I brought my concerns to the staff politely I was greeted with a very rude and disrespectful tone by several members of the staff who stated they don't enforce any rules in the orange section and if I didn't like it I could get a refund and leave. I was shocked and saddened by this response and made the decision to leave. As I headed to the box office to get my refund I asked a staff member how to get my refund. He told me to park my truck on the side and walk the rest of the way to the box office to get my refund. As a disabled veteran this seemed excessive to me but I followed his direction. When I got to the box office i was greeted by an older man who stated he was the top manager there and began talking rudely and disrespectful to me. When I tried to explain the issues that were causing me to leave he aggressively told me to get the hell out of there. I was so shocked I again tried to explain the issues like the Marijuana to which another staff member interrupted and asked me what did he want them to do because they didn't bring in the Marijuana. At this point I again asked the man who identified himself as the manager for my refund to which he grabbed some money from a till and again told me to get the he'll out of there in a rude, disrespectful and aggressive tone. As a disabled veteran I have never been spoken to like that before for simply requesting a refund and relaying why I wanted my refund. Im told this was voted America's best drive in. That was not my experience and I'm severely disappointed and sad. I will not be back.

A little expensive for what it is. The movie screen is a bit dim on darker scenes due to a poor contrast ratio. The popcorn was overpriced for what it was—stale and very, very salty. The concession stand and lot guiding employees were also a little rude. The ticket people were very nice though. And finally, they didn’t let anyone switch between movie screens. I get that it’s hard logistically, but to be competitive with other theaters that are often offering $5-$10 movies (with AC, better popcorn, better screens, and better speakers), they really need to provide more value to their customers. One way to do that is to allow people to easily switch screens after their movie. Nonetheless, I really hope the theater continues to have business, succeed, and grow. I love smaller, family-owned businesses, and I say this all to provide my feedback to help the owners with my perspective (and surely others’ too).

I had a great time, except they had no food and were getting angry because consumers were upset that we had to walk to other places for food In reply to your message: we got in line and was told by a young lady and yound man that was cooking. They were making no more food. We walked to pizza hut to get food as many others did as well, I am sorry, but this is true. We were told u was short staffed. Now around 9 930 there was more food.
Vanessa — Google review
Almost a perfect experience until someone grouched at my group about the orientation of our vehicle even though the lot was mostly empty and we were parked near the back. They said our vehicle was blocking the lane, which wasn't possible. Aside from that the bathrooms were clean and there wasn't a bunch of trash on the ground.

The Lincoln Theater is the oldest operating movie theater in the Midwest, opening in 1921. The theater has plenty of historic charm, paired with modern image and audio quality. The popcorn is delicious and they regularly add new things to their menu. I love that they started hosting concerts, it adds a lot to the Belleville community and the auditorium is built for exactly that. The seats aren't the most comfortable and it can be a little difficult maneuvering through rows of seats in the upstairs theaters. Prices are very affordable, especially on Tuesday nights. Unsure if they still offer birthday parties, but I attended one when I was a kid in the basement of the theater after watching a movie with the party.
Kelsey S — Google review
Very reasonable price wise. We patronize this theater often. It never fails however whenever we go to the concession. They don’t have but 1 or 2 hot dogs cooked or cooking. So folks that ordered hot dogs have to leave the movie to come back out to get them. Depending on which theater screen you viewing. The volume is too low.
Ahmande S — Google review
The theater is old and smells...floors are dangerous for people with disabilities. Staff are casually dressed and are more interested in conversing with each other instead of the people entering the facility. It was nice to look inside but shall not be returning. The show we saw Cher tribute, if you could turn back time was mediocre. During costume changes for " Cher" they had these ridiculous lighted hoop displays. One piece of advice, ones back up singer's should be able to coordinate with each other and be able to dance to the beat, not look like they are treading grapes!
Lyn B — Google review
We took our neurodivergent child to a kids movie, How to Train Your Dragon. We sit in the back not to upset other patrons because he often reacts. The theater was 1/5 full and yet, someone near us complained about his commenting on the movie. Being on the spectrum, he wears ear protection at movies. He wanted to speak about the movie with us. He wasn’t being disruptive. Instead of finding any of the available seats in the theater, the only two adults sitting near us decided to complain to the staff. I can appreciate that they may have been disturbed but there were better ways to address an excited child. Regardless, what will keep us from going back to the Lincoln is the fuss that the management made, AT the seats. Instead of asking to speak to one of the adults privately, to address the complaint, he came with both guns blaring while we were sitting IN the theater . It was loud and traumatic enough to our son, that he couldn’t stay to finish the movie. We had to assure him that he didn’t “ruin” the movie the whole way home. We are both local and try to support local businesses. But, if you’re trying to save a few dollars compared to the big theaters, if you value customer service, or if you have children that want to be children, this may not be a place for you.

Rented a screen for a birthday party and it was so fun! Easy set up for our Switch, great communication and fun times. Definitely recommend.

Been there many times with Mom and Dad sing cover bands and next we're going to see that young girl that has puppets. I can't think of her name. That's in August. It's a nice place!
Wendy B — Google review
Concessions server seemed uninterested and not helpful for first time patron. Floors are dirty and stained. Stairs are steep with narrow footings. Theatre seating has no place for beverage. Pricing is typical which is expensive. Netflix etc is such a better value.

Eckert's Pick Your Own Belleville Farm is a family-owned business that has been operating for seven generations. In addition to offering fresh fruits and vegetables, the farm features a country restaurant, hosts special events like birthday parties and picnics, and provides an opportunity for visitors to pick their own produce. Visitors can enjoy picking peaches, various vegetables such as tomatoes, eggplants, zucchinis, onions, beetroots, bell peppers, and corn.
We went for raspberry picking and it was an incredible experience from booking to the staff on site. The ride to the farm is peaceful and so much fun! You get to eat as much raspberry as you want for free on the farm. You get containers to pack what you want to take back home which is weighed and you pay for on your return back to the Eckerts building. All round great experience and can't wait to return !

A Beautiful Summer Experience 🌻🍑 We spent a lovely sunny afternoon at a local farm, and it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and refreshing getaways. We arrived around 3 PM, though if you’re planning a visit, I’d recommend going in the morning since it can get quite warm later in the day. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and proper walking shoes because there’s quite a bit of walking involved. Tickets were $12 per person, which included a short ride to the fields, the chance to pick five sunflowers, and access to a beautiful berry farm. Everything there was fresh, organic, and very reasonably priced. The sunflower field was definitely a highlight. They gave us pruners to cut the flowers ourselves, and we spent time picking our favorites and enjoying the scenery. We also had so much fun taking pictures among the flowers. After that, we visited the peach-picking area. It was such a fun experience, but the sun was strong, and we started to feel a bit drained. Thankfully, the farm provided cold water to help us stay cool and hydrated. We finished the day at the little market area, where we grabbed some fresh farm-made donuts. They were warm, soft, and absolutely delicious — the perfect end to a lovely day. This place is such a great spot to visit during the summer. It’s peaceful, family-friendly, and filled with simple joys. I’ll definitely be going back again — just a little earlier in the day next time.

We ate lunch in the restaurant. We had very good food and excellent service! We to a tram to a designated area to pick apples. Then, they drove us back! We were a large group of senior adults. It was a fun experience. We topped it off buy shopping in the store! Great day!

Eckert’s Belleville is one of my favorite places to visit every fall — it’s not just a farm, it’s a full-on experience. 🍂✨ I came out with friends for our annual Boo Basket Exchange during Oktoberfest weekend, and it did not disappoint. There was live polka music, people dancing, and a fun, festive crowd. The atmosphere felt like stepping straight into a fall festival movie. The BBQ nachos were incredible — piled high with pulled pork, slaw, and smoky cheese sauce on a mix of tortilla chips. We also tried a cider flight, which is the perfect way to sample different flavors (and yes, I definitely found a favorite). 🍻 Eckert’s has something for everyone: themed weekends, live entertainment, delicious food, and plenty of space to relax with friends and family. Whether you’re pumpkin picking, sipping cider, or people-watching, this is a must-visit fall spot. 📍 Eckert’s Belleville Farm 🍽️ Great food & cider 🎶 Live music & themed weekends 🎃 Perfect for groups, families & fall lovers ✨ Follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, and Beli for more local food, drink, and event recommendations around STL!

We went to the farm for the blackberry and peach picking. It was so good! There were so many blackberry plants and they were so tasty. We got a whole basketful of them. The peaches were also decent, but it started raining. The store also has so many different plants, seeds, foods, and drinks.

Visited Eckert’s Pick Your Own Belleville Farm and had such a fun time! 🍎 The apples were a little smaller this year, but still so fun to pick. Fuji and Suncrisp were available today. 🎃 The pumpkin patch was decorated so nicely, perfect for fall photos and a great day out!

Was a great experience. It cost $80 for a group of 10 to take the tractor to the apple and pumpkin patch. Sadly, the apples were mainly bruised and mainly bad. But the cuddles with the baby mini cows made up for it.

Seven Shichi Sushi Bar is a popular spot in Belleville offering a diverse menu with options from both Seven and Shichi Sushi Bar. The staff is knowledgeable about dietary restrictions, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests. While the service can be inconsistent at times, the quality of the sushi and overall food is highly praised. However, some patrons have experienced longer wait times during peak hours, especially on busy event days.
Super Service & Delicious Food! The family went here for my wife's birthday. Carlos was our server. He was OUTSTANDING! I loved that he would say, "My pleasure" instead of "You're Welcome" or the terrible, "No Problem" whevever one of us would thank him. He was prompt and very courteous, like next level stuff! The food was equally as good. Hold on to Carlos! He is a gem!
Craig N — Google review
Very good sushi and an overall good experience. I think my timing was less than ideal. I visited on the Saturday of Art on the Square, and I suspect they were not sufficiently staffed. I sat on the patio with my friend to cool off, and there was some question about whether the restaurant was even open at that point. They did unlock the door in time and offer us drinks. I had a water and a soda on the patio, and when my friend left for home, I went inside to eat. It took some time to get a menu, and there was confusion about my order, because they have both a vegetable tempura appetizer and a vegetable tempura roll. It came out correct after the confusion, but both the person waiting tables and the one making food had been bewildered about which I wanted, so they may want to rename that roll! The sushi was delicious, and I am a big fan of their gender-neutral restroom with both a toilet and a urinal. Every time a trans or non-binary person doesn't have to choose which restroom is less dangerous for them, it is so empowering. I did not, however, enjoy the toilet paper dispenser that sits all of four inches off the ground, or the soap dispensers on the floor. I think Seven is trying very hard, but they should have been more prepared for that event. Other patrons lost patience and got quite rude with the staff members, even grabbing their own food out of the window with snarky comments. Luckily I was not in a hurry, but management could have prevented staff mistreatment and made a huge profit by being fully staffed that day.

I absolute go-to spot in Belleville for good food. The service can be super hit or miss, so be prepared to leave if it looks like they are running behind. It can easily take 2 hours to get your main course on anything outside of the most empty of hours.

Enjoyed the food, waitress was good. Issue with the young lady that greeted us on 1/23/24 ~730PM - "You can seat yourself and let the hostess in the back know where you're seated" Wait, WHAT? Why are you asking the customers to walk to the back and tell someone where you're seated vice YOU (employee) telling the bartender/waitress that you have customers in the front dining area. The food was good, waitress was nice, issue was with the young lady doing the hosting/greeting, TOTALLY inappropriate!
Leonard V — Google review
Well, I am sad to see this place close, but lately, the lady that seats customers comes across like she doesn't want to work. There are tables available, and she is turning away customers. She degraded a kitchen worker to us. The American food is good, and my friends and family love the seafood. Like I said, the product is wonderful, but the service is horrible. It is closing, so I guess it doesn't matter anymore how they treat their customers.

Great vegan sushi: vegetable tempura rolls, avocado rolls, and a few others. They're also very accommodating, adding/subtracting whatever ingredients you want in your sushi. Decent beer selection too.

I work in the restaurant industry as an AGM. So I try to be patient & kind. But TONIGHT was it! I waited 45 minutes in the car with 4 kids ages 4-8. And this is what they served me! When I was there they weren’t even busy. They also didn’t give me my gravy and I got the spicy & hot 8 piece wing as well I ate on the way home & it tasted freezer burnt! I’m currently sick from eating it. When I called to try to get a refund my only option was to leave the house to bring back this disgusting chicken (I asked to send an email with pics and videos as proof so I didn’t have to take my kids back out) it only took 2 hours to be able to feed my kids tonight because of the horrible service. I’m all for being patient & waiting but 45 minutes but my food needs to be EDIBLE when I get home.

Fries were hard and very old as if they had been sitting under a heat light for hours, I called and spoke with the manager about the fries and I was told by her that I will have to bring the fries back and they will replace them. I was not driving 20 miles back just to return some fries and that was not the reason why I called, I stayed to her, I didn’t want anything. I was just letting her know that the fries were not fresh at all and you don’t want to get anyone sick. ( They were hard hard) The chicken was hot & fresh and the cashier was nice. I think when they know something is old don’t even push it out the door or window that’s my opinion. And when you have been in the restaurant industry like myself, you know you don’t push certain products out when it’s not right. I didn’t mind waiting a few minutes for fresh fries.
Trecie W — Google review
Just left here and ordered a spicy chicken combo and the chicken is clearly not done. I thought maybe I was tripping but once I peeled the breading it was pretty much confirmed. The fries were either over cooked or stale. The customer service was whack. Ridiculous how hard it seems to find quality service these days.
Amya K — Google review
This location is just ok. The service is slower than a burger joint but it’s fried chicken and sometimes it’s still frying when you get there. The fries are pretty good. I only wish the staff would be more communicative. They certainly can hold conversations with each other but if you pick up an order inside they don’t really keep you informed on your order. They are filling orders and talking amongst themselves. Not a good look. Engaging with the customer and giving updates on their orders is the only conversation that should be heard. Leave the personal conversation to when there are no customers waiting or in the break room.

Today I went to this location KFC, and received wonderful service. The young man at the window was very polite and pleasant. My food was ready quickly and was very fresh a delicious. Thank all of you for your service.

They gave my pup (in the car with me) a chicken nugget and talked with me while getting my order together. Was a wonderful experience and completely unexpected since I was in the drive thru.

Bar & grill
If you're in Belleville, Illinois, make sure to stop by Corner Chill and Grill for a delightful dining experience that captures the essence of local pub culture. This charming spot offers an array of bar-style favorites at wallet-friendly prices. From mouthwatering wings and juicy burgers to tasty tacos and fresh salads, there's something for everyone without breaking the bank.
One of Belleville's best local bars, great for a cold beer and some hearty food. Burgers are great, and be sure to check the baked potato options! Staff and patrons are always friendly and welcoming, in a very low-pressure and casual way.

I wish restaurants would get off this kick of making food spicy hot 🌶. Let it be an option. I had the chili Mac and it was too spicy, I will not order it again. My wife had the Philly Cheese Steak and it was awesome.
Ben C — Google review
Nice bar and restaurant. They have an area set up for take out orders. I did order the pork rinds . They were good and had a little heat on the seasoning they put on them . The wings were good . Wednesdays they are on special for a buck a piece. Good place to grab a bite to eat or just a couple beers
Brian A — Google review
For a casual dive bar scene, this spot is perfect. Burgers are excellent, wings are delicious, food is fairly priced. However, the French fries leave something to be desired. I'd recommend the side salad instead. Come in, grab a beer & burger, relax.

Solid 4.5 experience. I stopped by for lunch on a Tuesday at 1115. The restaurant was full but the wait staff and kitchen were on top of it. I was very happy with the Wainwright Burger with bacon. Really nice bar burger flavor. 1 ding on atmosphere bc the men's room could use some cleaning.
Brad B — Google review
Google asked for an update, how does "ditto" sound? They were slammed tonight (wings night), but after a small wait, we had Emily take care of us. We enjoyed the food and the busy bar atmosphere. Friendly wait staff and customers. Previously: Really pleasantly surprised on a Wednesday night. Went because of recommendations. Had the sampler, chicken strips, ravioli, mozzarella sticks and lots of fried pickles. Delivered with tomato and ranch dipping sauce. We ordered extra blue cheese and honey mustard dipping sauces for $.50 each. That sampler was really good, and a great price. Chicken strips were lightly breaded and meaty-very nice. We had the BLT and Philly cheesesteak, both delicious. Onion rings and tater tots for sides, both very good. Ally our server was very nice and very attentive. We were told the burgers are very good and most popular. We will be back for those and more.

The food is AMAZING! Reasonably priced and close to my house. Ordered take-out twice now and both times we were very impressed with the food.

Nestled in a picturesque setting, The Weingarten is an enchanting venue that perfectly blends the charm of nature with modern amenities. With its covered outdoor seating and garage doors that can be opened on pleasant days, it creates an inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy. This versatile space is ideal for various events, including intimate weddings, where couples can exchange vows amidst stunning surroundings.
Absolutely loved hosting our private event here! Although pricey, everyone was great, easy to work with, responsive to all of our questions and needs! It was such a special night to remember! We chose to have The Weingarten make all of our food and it was amazing! We loved every dish! Thank you to all of the staff that helped us and a special shout out to Angi who was amazing throughout the entire planning process!

I had the opportunity to stop by The Weingarten Winery in Belleville, Illinois this evening, and it was absolutely beautiful! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and it was the perfect day to sit out in the garden and enjoy the atmosphere. Such a relaxing and charming spot — I’ll definitely be back!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Weingarten on 9.29.23. The ceremony site was incredibly beautiful and couldn’t have been more perfect for our small, intimate ceremony. The grounds of the venue provided space for many different photos for the photographer to capture the most amazing shots. And the reception in the party barn was perfect for our guest count and the type of atmosphere we were looking for. I’m very happy we chose this venue!
Kayla S — Google review
I recently visited relatives on Mother's Day at the Weingartan and found the experience not very enjoyable. We met under one of the pavilions and found the tables and chairs covered in bird droppings. I checked the other tables and they were a mess also. I told the bartender and he handed me a cloth for me to wipe up the mess so we could use the tables and chairs. He never offered to clean it up. I cleaned up what we needed to use and gave the cloth to the people in the next pavilion so they could clean their bird droppings off. The lake used to have nice landscaping but now it is grown up with weeds and volunteer tree to the point of not being able to see the water of the lake. Also the grass was very high and difficult to walk through. It has regressed terribly over the last couple of years. This used to be a nice place to visit but the present management is letting the place fall into disrepair. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Lana C — Google review
My first time visiting and I was totally impressed. What a gorgeous venue to have a wedding reception at, especially the outside garden tent that has a beautiful view of the pond. It was very unique and picturesque. They had a nice assortment of appetizers, sandwiches and pizzas you could order. They offer wine sampling which is nice and I can highly recommend the apple Sangria with the cinnamon sugar rimmed glasses.
Sherree S — Google review
Beautiful setting. Definitely better when it's nice outside and they can open up the garage doors . Good wine and beer selection . Food was good as well. Spinach amd artichoke dip was really good. The Flatbread pizzas were great as well
Brian A — Google review
We attended a meet and greet after my cousins rehearsal dinner. The venue is wonderful. There are appetizers, sandwiches and salads. There was live music, one venue had a fire! The staff was friendly and the new owners are excited to start their lives together providing the perfect place for this communities events.

Value for the food was pretty bad. $12 for 4 thin slices of sausage, 3 half pieces of walnut, 12 craisins and some cheese cubes......not great. Waited over 35 minutes for a soft pretzel only to watch other patrons who ordered AFTER us get theirs. I'm not a bitter person and only want to save others the trouble of wasting their time and money on this place. Super bummed, as I had high hopes. 🙁

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like O'Fallon Family Sports Park. Not quite as popular as National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

O'Fallon Family Sports Park

Park
O'Fallon Family Sports Park is a thrilling destination for sports enthusiasts and families alike. The park boasts an array of amenities including 8 ball diamonds, soccer pitches, a skateboard and BMX track, a fishing pond, sand volleyball court, splash pad, and playground. Visitors can also enjoy the well-maintained two-mile walking trail and appreciate the clean facilities. With ample parking available, this hidden gem offers a diverse and friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Absolutely beautiful complex that includes shelters, restrooms, numerous well kept turf fields for soccer and baseball, lots of parking, some bleachers, plenty of space for chairs, some concessions. They're also building additional fields. Absolutely look forward to coming back for another tournament. Thanks for hosting the Halloween Havoc!
Kayleigh S — Google review
This is such a great family oriented park. We went there for a baseball tournament, and the fields were great. Some of the families had little kids, and having access to a splash pad was fantastic, especially for a hot summer day. Not only do they have baseball fields, they have soccer fields as well and a nice walking path. Highly recommend for families that live out of town, that come to visit the area.
Ryan B — Google review
Great park with all the modern amenities for baseball, soccer and fitness. Includes a 2 mile walking trail that encircles the park and is perfect for anyone looking to get in some walking or jogging. Also has multiple pavilions you can rent for parties, plus several small water preservation areas where you can see some ducks, geese, fish, turtles, or even the occasional muskrat. The weekends are usually filled with softball, baseball or soccer tournaments, but there's ample parking for all of them. Here's also a video of us testing out one of our super bright flashlights at 6a.m. on an early morning walk!

My daycare kids had a wonderful time.
Adrienne B — Google review
We have only been to the baseball/softball fields at night. Plenty of lights. The turf was a rubber one, difficult for sliding. It is a very fancy place if you don’t want dirt on you 😳
T M — Google review
This park is a hidden little gem. I’ve been to many parks across the county and honestly this is one of the best neighborhood parks. If you like walking they have a nice trail about 2 miles that is safe for walking. The splash pad is awesome for the little ones. If you live around the park the walk to the park is even better. People here are very friendly and warm. The park also has a nice diverse population. Plenty of parking spots
SS T — Google review
We were in from out of town for the soccer tournaments. I was impressed with how exceptionally clean the entire park was being there were SO many people in one place. They were hosting softball tournaments on one end of the park and soccer tournaments at the other end. To say the least it was a very busy place. The bathrooms are located in a central area of all of the fields and are inside facilities. They have a soda machine and a Gatorade/water machine outside the restrooms. Though it was completely sold out by the end of the first day. They have a playground and concession store outside of the field area. The couple of times I walked over to try to get drinks during a game, and once at a halftime, the line was very long and did not move very fast. I would have had to miss a big portion of our game if I wanted to make a purchase, so we just waited until we left the park. There is plenty of parking and nothing is to far of a walk in my opinion. They have handicap parking and accessible restrooms. There are bleachers for viewing of games in few fields. We brought our own chairs and blankets. There is also a bike and walking trial that goes around the perimeter of the park. It was overall a great experience and I totally recommend it.

First time back since its redo. Wow! The band stage is first class. Plenty of parking. Concession stand staffed with courteous and kind young people. Top notch!

The baseball field we played on was great. Our 14U boys all liked it. We were told metal cleats weren't allowed so none were worn, but the opposing team apparently didn't get the same memo... There are also covered bleachers and clean restrooms! Only downside is there are no concessions available for purchase.

Great playground with mature trees. Was the old playground better for older kids... yes. Did the city lie to residents saying the old playground was beyond repair... yes. But the new playground is good, not better and the new pool will be amazing!

Escape room center
Escape 618, located on East Main Street, offers an exciting and unique experience for families and friends. Participants have 60 minutes to work together to solve a series of puzzles and riddles, testing their problem-solving skills. Visitors have praised the well-thought-out rooms and the enjoyable atmosphere upon entering. The game masters are commended for their friendly and accommodating approach, making the experience even more memorable. Overall, it's a highly recommended activity for anyone looking for an entertaining challenge with loved ones.
We found the website, and it looked cool, so we booked it. Drove 2 hours to get here. We did the haunted house. It was extremely well done and great experience. We enjoyed the room so much, we decided to also do the jail cell since there was an opening. It was totally different feeling and challenges that made another great experience. I highly recommend checking them out. The staff were all knowledgeable and passionate about their rooms.

Escape 618 is amazing! We went for my daughter’s birthday and had a blast — fun decorations, immersive challenges, and super friendly staff. I even lost the diamond from my wedding ring while there, and they took the time to search and found it. Incredible service and an unforgettable experience!

Took a few friends for their first time doing an escape room! I've done a few but was pleasantly surprised at how interactive and wonderful the staff was when we first arrived! We did the Haunted House and Tyler and Katie were amazing Game Masters for my group! Definitely want to try out their other ones and will for sure be asking for the two of them again! Thank you so much for the amazing time! Cannot recommend this place enough!
Sammie ( — Google review
Lovely place, recently went here on a field trip. Loved the incense and decor. I got to do the detention room! The only thing I thought wasn’t right was I thought we were not allowed to throw stuff, I was wrong, though it was likely me not paying attention. (Some beautiful photos of me doing a beautiful facial expression)
Chai — Google review
Went here with a few friends today to try our hand at our first escape room, we did detention. Difficulty was just about perfect, kept you thinking just enough but still allowed the accomplished feeling of figuring out the puzzles as a first time escape room. There was enough content where everyone in our group managed to solve atleast one or two puzzles so everyone had a great time and no one felt left out. The gamemaster was also on point, they chimed in with about the perfect amount of subtle hints, enough where we didnt get stuck for too long, allowing us to actually complete the room in a nick of time, but not so much that it gave everything away stealing the satisfaction of figuring it out yourself. Overall would definitely go again, want to try the jailcell next but i hear its quite difficult, and im sure its not quite as fun if you cant complete the puzzle! But we are up for a challenge. Good experience.
Sophia L — Google review
We did “The Jail Cell” as a group of four for a bachelorette party and had THE BEST TIME! The puzzles were creative, challenging, and so fun. Highly recommend!!

We booked a weekday private session for our young Girl Scout troop. I wasn't sure if it would be too hard or scary for them but the owner chatted with me and got us reassured. When we arrived we got a tour a wonderful intro, got our questions answered and we began our Detention Breakout escape room. The experience was perfectly tailored to our group, presumably because of their personalized attention. It was an amazing experience for our girls. We would highly recommend anyone considering an escape room to call and inquire. This place was extremely accommodating and was a positive experience for our girls.

Visiting family (I’m from Vegas) and was pleasantly surprised that Belleville had an escape room. Decided to try it out with some family and the kids and had so much fun. I love the vibe as soon as you walk in and Taylor’s introduction was awesome. I forget the lady’s name who did the voices (sorry!), but all in all I liked this better than the escape rooms in Vegas. I wish I was here longer to see the new room they have opening up, but look forward to it when I come back to visit.

Incredible staff. Helluva selection of food, beer, wine and cocktails. Spicy Thai meat balls? Order them. Tuna Jalapeño? Order it. Now that you know this is not ordinary food, go ahead and get the chicken wings. You might have had wings this good somewhere else but you won’t find better.

not a great night for sushi...after 45min we were told there was a back order for sushi and we were askd to order from the american menu to speed up service...disappointed but the food we ordered was quite tasty...perhaps another day
Samira A — Google review
They have Paulaner Hefeweizen ON DRAFT! and it's delicious! The Steak Sandwich with skinny fries was amazing!!! Sometimes, the gristle in a ribeye can cause the entire piece of meat to pull out from between the bun, but they chopped it into pieces and solved that problem. The horseradish sauce was a really nice addition, and the skinny fries were perfect: hot and crispy on the outside while warm and steamy on the inside! Perfect place to bring a date!
Alan E — Google review
I usually don't leave negative reviews at all but what happened tonight was in no way okay. My friend and I went to dinner here and ordered sushi and sake. We go to pour ourselves another glass of sake and realize there's something in our carafe and it looks like a napkin. I take my chopsticks and continue to pull a WHOLE DIRTY NAPKIN out and in the napkin? A bug! We have never been so disgusted in our lives. Who knows where that napkin has been or what germs it holds. Not to mention the bug. I get mistakes happen but this isn't okay. Our waitress took 50% off our bill but that doesn't change the fact that this happened. I don't think we can ever go back again after this. I'm just dumbfounded.
Emily C — Google review
Sushi was great, wish they identified the different rolls since we had over 5 different types of rolls. Philly cheese steak was less than stellar. Over cooked chewy meat and rubbery fries.
Wendy K — Google review
Classic Belleville hangout. A bit small and noisy, but some people like that. Service can be slow at times, but the food is excellent. The sushi bar attached is actually one of the best in the area. I cant say enough good things about the freshness of the fish and quality of flavors. Its pricey, but you get what you pay for. There is an upstairs area for extra seating so dont be deterred if the first floor looks packed. Try upstairs, too!

Breakfast restaurant
IHOP, a beloved chain known for its extensive selection of pancakes and classic American breakfast dishes, offers a welcoming dining experience. Guests often find themselves seated promptly and attended to by friendly staff who ensure that their needs are met throughout the meal. Many patrons rave about the delicious food served hot and fresh, making it an ideal spot for a satisfying bite after a busy day. The atmosphere is typically calm, perfect for unwinding while enjoying your meal.
My family was seated quickly upon entry and Emma was assigned as our waitress. Emma was so attentive to our needs and I love that she constantly checked in on us! We frequent this IHOP on many Sundays, with great service & food. Last week was absolutely horrible! We waited 25 minutes for a table, which would be fine if the host was actually helping to turn tables over , but tables sat empty. Once we did get seated, the server took our order immediately, but 35 minutes later, no food or drinks. I got up to alert her we were leaving. She immediately said wait & comes out with our food, which was COLD. It had been sitting in the window for at least 15 minutes. She fluttered around the restaurant, looking busy but actually not doing anything. The restaurant only had a few tables filled at this point so no reason for the awful service.
Kiki E — Google review
Arrived @ 9:20am Waitress (Olivia I think) promptly asked for drink order. We waited 15min for our other party to arrive. Waited One Hour for the Waitress to take our Order after asking for her Twice, She would not respond to our table. I finally had enough, and she was forced over to the table by another waitress, with an excuse, that the kitchen was behind, as if the kitchen was holding her from waiting on us. After 1:45 minutes we finally got our order. We ate fast, and out at 11:25. Staff was filling "To Go" before "Dine In" orders. and the staff could care less. That's the Big Problem, No accountability. No Manager on duty. I still tipped well, and the food was great as always, but I cook very well. I go out to eat to be served. I seems like the "Attitude" of servers these days think they are Entitled to things they do not deserve.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Will Never Return This was my son’s birthday brunch, something he was excited to share with our family — and unfortunately, it turned into a complete disaster. We called ahead and were told they don’t take reservations, just to come in and check the wait. We were quoted 20 minutes. We arrived with a party of over 12 and were assigned only one overwhelmed server. It took him over 35 minutes just to get drink orders, and many of them were wrong — “splashes” became plain Sprite with strawberries on the side, my grandmother asked for orange juice and got apple, and four people never got their drinks at all (but were still charged). Then the food issues began. One sister had to send her eggs back three times due to cheese being added against her request. Another sister arrived last but was served first, while my daughter and four others waited over an hour and a half — only to receive the wrong food. I began recording the chaos in the kitchen and the condition of our food. That’s when the hostess angrily told the manager I was filming — and only then did he come over to speak with us. He promised to “take care of everything.” He didn’t. A second server eventually stepped in, but she combined everything into one ticket and completely messed up the bill. When I addressed this again with the manager, he tried to blame the server. Meanwhile, we had waited nearly an hour just for utensils, were told they were “out” of spoons and forks, and eventually handed visibly dirty silverware. After all this, the manager only took 10% off the total bill. For a ruined birthday brunch and multiple service failures, that was beyond unacceptable. We will never return, and I will absolutely be contacting corporate. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

I absolutely love the new red hot riplet wings. They are absolutely amazing. I've had them two days in a row. Yesterday I got an eight piece today I got a 16 piece. I feel really greedy but they're really good

Not being from this area I feel this is a specialty pizza chain that focuses on local fare. The pizza is made with provel cheese which give it an odd creamy texture and a strong taste. I ordered the "thick" square crust but it seemed more like frozen flatbread than a pizza crust texture. The manicotti was filled with cheese but swimming in a sauce that lacked meat for a meat sauce, definitely over sauced. The salad was of generous portion with low of pepperoni and black olives but it only includes one snack portion of dressing which wasn't enough. The garlic cheese bread looked nothing like the online picture, it was uncut lengths of bread. The service was on time and a friendly driver, food arrived hot as well.

Purchase the following pizza today and it was horrible spent $28 to get home and it barely had cheese full of sauce. Save your money go else where. They also charged a 3% processing fee with card.
Tosha J — Google review
It's the classic StL pizza. I think the quality of the food depends on who is cooking and how much attention they are paying to proper prep, topping sizes, and using the oven.

Best pizza in town. Wish they had a sit down restaurant style atmosphere.

If your travel to the St Louis area....stop at an Imo's pizza. Thin crust and just a good pizza. Get the pepperoni pizza for the quintessential version.

Farms
Braeutigam Orchards, a family-owned fruit farm since 1831, is located on the outskirts of Belleville. Despite its distance from the main road, it has been a popular spot for farm-fresh fruits and vegetables from June to October. Visitors can pick their own produce and enjoy freshly baked items at the on-site store. The orchard also offers a play yard for kids, a cafe, and various animals to observe.
Love this place. They have amazing pumpkins. They are so friendly, Free place for kids to play, this year they have a mini maze for the kids to play in, petting area. Delicious apple cider slushy. Apple donuts and a small bakery on site. They have 6 different types of apples to pick. In late summer that have different potatoes. This a great family owned place. Definitely worth checking out.

It was great fun to be there. Picking fruits and vegetables and having them while roaming was really awesome.

Very nice orchard to visit . The complimentary tracker ride takes you to the orchard. They have some small farm animals and a playground for the kiddos. You can purchase pumpkins, gourds and apples inside the open air barn shop. No charge for the ride to the apples. Thank you for a pleasant visit.

Braeutigam Orchards is such a charming spot for fresh fruit and vegetables in season. It’s family-friendly, peaceful, and everything you pick tastes so much better than the grocery store. Love supporting a local farm like this — it’s a yearly tradition for us now.

Went on a class trip, farmer Dan was awesome. Got to see animals and pick delicious apples! They have amazing apple cider and donuts.

Today was our first time visiting and it will certainly not be our last! Could not have asked for a better experience! My 2 year old had the time of his life feeding the pigs, the cows (Chocolate Milk and Fudge), chasing Tom the turkey, feeding Gruff the goat and holding Freckles the bunny, not to mention picking apples and the tractor ride! But the best part? The best part was meeting Farmer Dan. He welcomed us so warmly it was as if he was welcoming us into his own home. We LOVE Farmer Dan and Braeutigam Orchards (and farm)!

First time visit and we loved it! My first time apple picking. They have a small petting zoo area. Bakery goods are fantastic. Apple cider donuts are killer. They also sell produce. We found our new Eckharts.

Cheating the scale: we have chosen Braeutigam Farms every year for the last few years, for pumpkins and apples, and specifically because it feels more homey and family owned than Eckert's down the street. But not anymore. This year my family of 4 and my brother's family of three all went together. My family bought $129 of pumpkins and apples, but I witnessed the young blonde woman with her hair in a ponytail and hat (at about 11AM Oct 12th if the farm is monitoring this) pushing down on the scale with her finger to weigh down the scale when we paid. There is no question it was intentional. I saw her doing it and locked eyes with her (at which point she removed her hand from the scale). She clearly did this regularly, as after I paid, I watched her do it to the next family. Just gross. It takes away from the family atmosphere. It's cheating - pretty much the opposite of the fun family vibe that the place is striving for. So keep your extra few bucks this time, its not worth making a scene in front of my kids, but you lost my family as a visitor for the future.

Visitors can enjoy activities like fruit picking in the fields, indulging in delicious cider and ice cream at the store, and playing games like bags.
We have been here a few times and I always look forward to coming back. Even if I can't always get here (we live over an hour away) I will always buy a box of their apple cider when I see it at our local grocery store 🍎💕 Their cider is delicious, honestly everything from here is delicious! Their produce, wines, sauces, baked goods, cheeses...all are amazing and I will continue to come back for more.

Enjoyable stop to visit with fresh baked goods and produce, local wines, gift items, and plants to take home to place in your own garden. Fun place to visit. Staff were nice. I just checked my receipt and lowered my review from five to two. Why? An item I was interested in for a gift, some Carmel popcorn cost $14.99! There was no price on the package. But if there had been or if the display had a price of $14.99, I would have walked on by. I am sad about my impulse buy costing twice what I deem I would usually pay. EDIT: My original review gave Eckert's only 2 stars because of my problems with the the cost of the popcorn I purchased and the display not having a price showing. I am happy to report that Eckert's reached out to me, and asked me for the receipt which I shared with them, and they informed me that they have contacted the star manager and they will be putting the price on the display. Now that is customer service! Thank you for taking the time to notice my review and respond constructively. Eckert's truly is a FIVE STAR establishment.

Eckert's was everything we were looking for and more! Apple picking, pumpkin patch, cider, donuts, a store full of delicious seasonal treats. Well worth the drive over from St. Louis. The fall fun pass is a great value for the experience.

Really awesome gem! Can’t wait to go back in the fall. They have berry picking, apple picking and more. There’s a playground we didn’t make it to, so next time we will definitely try that out! There’s a country store with groceries which was cute and a hot bar that we enjoyed for dinner. There’s a restaurant too. Would like to try next time if the wait isn’t so long

It was hot but the place was really cool! A little pricey but super cool nonetheless! A LOT of things to do for the kids and grown ups! They have pretty much everything! Live music and really good food! All you can eat fried chicken was a huge hit! The waitress was really good and the food was out to us in NO TIME! I would definitely go back!!

Our family enjoys visiting here each fall to pick apples and pumpkins. The country store also offers a wide variety of fresh, farm-to-table items. It’s a wonderful experience that I highly recommend for families.

Restaurant
Located in Belleville, the Orchards Golf Course & Restaurant offers a public 18-hole championship golf course designed by Bob Goaldby, a Masters winner born in the area. The course boasts six sets of tees for all skill levels and features diverse holes. Visitors can also enjoy dining at the on-site restaurant. Despite some challenges like squishy conditions after rain, the course is well-maintained with smooth greens and challenging terrain.
Course is in fantastic condition, even if it was a little squishy from the rain we just received. The greens are in great shape the rolls smoothly. Tough greens though, a lot of waves. Couple of suggestions, the numbers on the red tee signs should be hi-lighted with white paint. When golfers cross the roads, another sign pointing the way to the next hole will be helpful. Other than that, fantastic and challenging course.
Raytheater — Google review
Course was in really poor shape . Very sad. Weeds everywhere bare spots on the tee boxes and greens . For the condition of the course I think 42 dollars is expensive also. Cart path is in terrible condition in multiple places. Actually very disappointed in the course and its supposedly maintained by a lawn care company
Brian A — Google review
I have heard nothing but good things about this course.....I played on July 20 2025 and was disappointed from the beginning. The range is the worst I have seen. Its just dirt and weeds. The fairways and tee boxes had weeds all over them. The greens were decent. Over all this course is not worth what they charge. Its at most a 30 dollar 18 with cart course.
Benjamin M — Google review
The course is in fine condition but the customer service isn’t. I was helped by an older gentleman who refused my service, saying they were fully booked, there might have been 5 cars in the lot including mine. The gentleman told me “kid I’m not going to let you go out”
Tyler L — Google review
Every time I come here the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Two different greens had steaks and rope up stating please stay off, brown spotted in under maintenance yet still charging $65. Got yelled at by the starter to get on the tee box well before our starting time and didn't get to practice putting one ball because of it.. ridiculous price for all of this..
Thomas F — Google review
The course was very nice. I played so poorly that i didn't focus on the course. But, I remember the greens and tee boxes being in good shape with a challenging yet fun layout.
Tim L — Google review
First time playing the scores this year the greens were amazing the fairways immaculate! Tom Biggs the course Marshall/Ranger was awesome extremely friendly and professional! I will be back
Dan M — Google review
The food is good quality, nothing fancy but decent. Prices for most of the menu are typical of a golf course, $8 for most sandwiches and about 11 or 12 for a small personal pizza. The fish fry on Friday nights is ran by an outside catering service, and that is not worth the price at all. I attached a picture of what approximately $23 will buy you for fish (to go). With the plentiful amount of VFWs and other organizations doing fish events, absolutely a terrible deal. The in-restaurant buffet is also not all you can eat fish, as the sides are unlimited but if you want more fish than the initial plate you are charged per plate. Also, kids under the age of 11 are $8 a person and if your kid is under two and you complain they drop it down to $4. I am guessing this is due to the fact that the average age of people in this housing area is 75, because that is an insane price for a child who will eat 2-3 pieces of fish if you are lucky (specifically the under 2 age). Much better options available close by.

Chick-fil-A is a beloved fast-food chain renowned for its delicious chicken sandwiches and nuggets, complemented by a variety of salads and sides. This bustling eatery consistently impresses with its exceptional service, where the staff goes above and beyond to make every customer feel valued, even during peak hours. Despite the high volume of patrons, Chick-fil-A manages to maintain quick service without compromising on food quality; meals are served hot and fresh.
Best fast food in the industry easy! Best staff, food, pricing, the quality, the attitudes of the employees/staff. This location is slammed all day everyday even 5 mins before close and they make it feel and seem like your there only customer and that's very impressive as I see how hard they work. All staff are a pleasure and easy to communicate with

Food was good but the crabby lady at the food window who wanted to argue about my order kind of made me angry. She kept asking me if I had two sandwiches and three sauces I said no I only have one and one sauce and she kept saying well I don't know... I didn't take your order. She had such an attitude. She should have stayed home yesterday.

We used the private upstairs room to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday party last night. What a great experience! The food was excellent and available exactly when we requested. Papa Vito's is my favorite pizza place in town. The entrance to the restaurant sets the mood with a historic home feel, low-lighting, and aged photos of the original building. I came here most recently on Valentine's Day to pick up a to-go order and the place was packed, unsurprisingly. The KSHE radio station ranked Papa Vito's to have the best pizza in the St. Louis area. I probably wouldn't go so far as to say that, but it is quite tasty. For three people, we ordered two 8-inch personal pizzas, a French-dip sandwich (my husband's all-time-favorite sandwich, which is made perfectly here), and their house salad. All three of us got a second meal from our leftovers. They offer signature pizzas, but also allow you to build your own. As it was Valentine's Day, my food was ready 10 minutes after the scheduled time and the bag was missing a requested extra sauce item. All in all, our experience was nearly top notch and I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Kelsey S — Google review
I didn't want to do this review because I typically try to not review bad experiences. However I felt I needed to do it because this place is high rated and I dont think they deserve it. It used to be a school. The atmosphere is amazing. It's un like any other run of the mill restaurant. I give it a 10 out 10 for atmosphere. Heads up you may have to park across the street as it is downtown I was fortunate enough to get a space in front. We were greeted and some time passed as the staff seemed confused. We were seated and our waitress was super friendly. We got apps. The toasted ravioli is embarrassing. For an Italian restaurant in the saint louis area to serve frozen toasted ravioli. Is just disgusting. The table next to us sent theirs back. The garlic bread was bread with cheese. No garlic. The wings were good but my daughter asked for buffalo dipping sauce and got ranch. The salads portion is very generous. One salad is good for 3 people. The amount of toppings on the pizzas was very generous as well. Although I had to get up from my table and walk to the wait station to get a jar of parmesan cheese. All of our drinks ran beyond empty and I was on the verge of going to the drink station to refill them myself. After coming home and looking at reviews the issues i experienced seemed common place. This wasn't an employee shortage issue. This is a training issue. I'd like to think a business that's been around this long would have mastered its craft. If this was your first year or even third I would given you second chance. But my family will not be returning.

Every single food item this place makes is over the top fabulous! You will never be disappointed. The Vito Garden Salad is by far the best salad I've ever had! Their sandwiches are 5 star!

🔥 Top 5 Wings in the STL/Illinois area—hands down! 🔥 Silver Creek Sports & Social in Belleville seriously impressed me. The wings were incredible—crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in bold, flavorful sauce. The fries? Perfectly seasoned and piping hot. Together, they easily earned a spot in my top 5 wings + fries combo in the STL/Illinois region. I sipped on a Deep Eddy’s Grapefruit with club soda (my go-to refreshing move), and the vibe was relaxed, friendly, and fun. Between the glowing neon lights, the full bar, and the cozy patio, this is the kind of place where you can settle in and lose track of time. ✨ Highlights: • $4 drink specials (check the chalkboard!) • Generous portions + great value • Outdoor seating and casual crowd • TVs, music, and a full bar with all the chill bar energy you want on a weeknight or weekend I’m definitely coming back—and next time, I might just dive into the pizza menu. 📍 Silver Creek Sports & Social 2520 Mascoutah Ave, Belleville, IL Follow me for more food + drink reviews: 👉 Google Maps | Instagram | Facebook

For good vibes and good music this is the place to go! We have had a few visits with slow service and waiting on refills but our server Alyssa was amazing! This was our first time getting her as our waitress and hope to get her every time. Best service we have ever had at this establishment! Fast and super personable. We got loaded tots and nachos and they were fast and fresh. Drinks were amazing and came out quickly as well. Great bands on weekends and beautiful patio setup.

We loved the Marry Me Chicken dinner 🐔🍗 -- very tender. The Alfredo sauce was awesome. We loved our server, Miss Tara. She brought us some extra sauce for our mashed potatoes. They were absolutely perfect -- right down to the last bite. We also tried some house Moonshine shots. My favorite was the hazelnut rum, and my husband really liked the blueberry muffin 🫐. And the dessert was out of this world! It was like a Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, but with a light, creamy, strawberry flavor 🍓. Can't wait to come back.

I bought a Groupon for two pounds of wings and an order of toasted ravioli and ordered for pick up. Until today, I had never been here before. I must say these are some of the best wings ever! They were perfectly crispy and the buffalo sauce was "baked in" which is how I like them, instead of being soggy and saucy. The bartender that took my order on the phone and brought me my order once I got there was very friendly and personable. It looks like a really cool place with lots of tv screens for sports watchers, and a huge outdoor area. I would imagine it looks like they have bands there sometimes. I will definitely be back to check it some more!

First time eating here and we were very pleased. Friendly service from folks who were quick with chips, salsa and menus. TONS of options on their menu! I opted for the two tamale combination plate. Super yummy! My wife had the chicken breast and mole sauce fajitas, which she enjoyed. Our pseudo kid for the day liked his shrimp, rice and queso dinner. Salsa is tasty, and not too chunky. Chips weren’t the best I’d ever had, but they were fine. I would gladly return here! :-)

This place is decent. The beans and rice lack flavor. The tostada bowl had more more lettuce, sour cream and pico de gallo than actual meat. The fish tacos were probably the best out of everything
Val G — Google review
We got Carne Asada Fries & 1st off, the containers wasnt closed properly so the guacamole was coming out. Presentation looks horrible. The fries are few and large curly fries. The sour cream or whatever sauce is used made the fries verrrrrry soggy. But the flavor is good. IF (very strong IF) we were to give El Gordito another try we'd ask for the guacamole & sour cream to be on the side because having it on top for the small amount of time it took to get home, ruined it. EDIT: So we went again & got the family fajitas. Would not recommend. The taste is okay but you get the same amount of meat & veggies with a whole container of rice, beans, lettuce, & a small container of cheese. Most definitely not enough meat & veggies. I'd rather just get separate meals.

I’ve been eating here for two years now! I’ve always had great food, fast service, friendly staff and reasonable prices! This is my family’s favorite Mexican restaurant! Will recommend & return for more great food!

Great tex mex food at a reasonable prices. The staff is very nice and the margaritas are big a with a lot of flavor. Not authentic Mexican food, but is very enjoyable and the place has great atmosphere.

That is the biggest and best burrito in Illinois. Has pretty good guacamole dip also. Even has a few off items for the non-mexican eating children that was good also. Will be back again

The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, located in Belleville, Illinois, is a large Catholic shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It is one of the largest outdoor shrines in the United States and is visited by over a million Catholic worshippers annually.
Lovely experience, there are so many lights and the petting zoo never disappoints. My family loves getting the stuffed animal at the end every year but it is usually a $20 cash only donation.

Can't wait to make a Retreat here. We jumped off the highway for gas after leaving St. Louis only to discover this great treasure 6 miles from our turnoff. Beautiful property, promising deep reflection for faith experience. Deer and outdoor Stations of the Cross. Opportunity for Mass and Retreat schedules. A must go!

Pretty place to walk around, but there were a number of parts that seemed dilapidated, under construction or unexpectedly off limits. The gift shop closes really early on Sundays. Get a map at the visitor center otherwise you won't have any idea what you are doing. Also note - map isn't exactly to scale after you start walking around. The only location that had votive candles available (for a small donation) was the Lourdes Grotto. I imagine this would be a gorgeous place to visit in the winter around Christmas.
Joel K — Google review
Nice place. Came here to take an AllTrails walk. There's not really any trails, so be prepared to walk to the side of the streets. Went into the Visitor Center and through a museum-like area explaining the origin of Our Lady of the Snows, which was helpful. To a non-catholic, which "shrine" was supposed to be which was confusing.
Debra A — Google review
A place to sit and reflect. Has a pray walk...which leads up to spire.
Julie M — Google review
Free experience. I have wanted to visit this place for quite some time, and it did not disappoint. Spent 6 hours there and could have been there longer but the people I was with got hungry. This is a spiritual place and a safe place to come and pray, reflect, rejoice, and more. It is a good place for a long walk, too. Enjoyed praying and lighting a candle at the grotto, walking the 14 stations of the cross, the children's playground with splashpad, and so much more. There is a gift shop and museum, and we walked through both. I can't wait to return for a guided tour or retreat.

So beautiful! And a great place to get some reflective exercise as well. If I lived in this area, I'd probably be here nearly every day. Thank you for a very peaceful visit. 🙏

On a beautiful late August afternoon we headed out to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Snows. As we walked around the grounds in such peace and beauty you couldn’t help feeling lighter. The Shrine is beautiful and the grounds are filled with art and prayerful places for contemplation. A lovely afternoon spent in the beauty of creation.

Lovely little park with picnic area, a half mile loop paved walking path for you and your leashed dog and a big fenced dog park complete with agility elements and wide open space to run. Water is easily accessed at a water fountain and dog water fountain at the dog park entrance.

Hood "not good" doggie event. Just a lot of people with dogs selling stuff. No sign of diversity or inclusion of ALL people.

Park was nice, free to enter. club was nice, have to have membership, can take guests with additional fees. Tennis courts, swimming pool, concession stand, ping pong table. 🏓 all seemed well maintained from distance.

Great park! Not exactly sure why it would be empty on a Thursday at 2pm but definitely a great play area for littles. Completely fenced in with maybe four exit and entrance points. Plus a restroom and Rec pool near. Very nice.

Park
This 45-acre park offers ball diamonds, bike ramps & a disc-golf course, plus picnic facilities.
A prime example of the great Belleville parks. Clean, lots of places to sit or swing. Ball fields full throughout the summer with a well stocked concession stand. Be a Citizen of Citizens Park today! Or not. They don't need your business. It's a park.

Nice park except for the few patches of poison hemlock. Google what just touching it can do. It needs sprayed killed removed.

Belleville has many beautiful parks and Citizens is no exception. It's a great place to play softball or baseball, and even has BMX bike ramps. It is clean and well maintained, with beautiful shade trees.

I absolutely love Citizens Park! It's extremely clean, dog friendly and I saw 2 playgrounds. Plenty of benches and nice trails with inclines. I felt safe walking with my granddog and alone. I go often.
Chaunte' S — Google review
A very nice secluded park! Citizens Park was pretty clean overall. There are many different options to entertain the kids, or yourself. There's disc golf course, playground, fields, hills, a little creek, walking trail, and a bike park area. The bike park has four different ramps/transitions. It is empty every time we stop by the park. So, we use our skateboards on it. There is a lot to offer families here.
Craig N — Google review
I enjoy this park. It has great baseball diamond and home of the Little Devils youth football program. They have a place to by concessions. Personally. I have done sermons and motivation talks. It's a great place to clear your mind and reflect on God's beautiful nature he created.
Tony J — Google review
I have been to this park twice to play disc golf & it is one of my favorite courses. The course is very detailed. The rest of the park looks enjoyable as there are multiple playgrounds & softball fields. It has a walking trail that does need repaving but overall it is a really good park.

My favorite park! Especially in the area. Has two (soon to be three) playgrounds. A long, wonderful walking path. A softball field, baseball field, soccer field and hockey rink. A wonderfully shaded area. A field great for picnics or kite flying. Along with several memorials. Nestled in a wonderful cute neighborhood, safe with low crime.

Belleville Christkindlmarkt

4.3

Christmas market
The Belleville Christkindlmarkt is a traditional German-style Christmas market held in downtown Belleville from late November to December 23. Despite being relatively new, it has become a popular event offering handmade gifts, decorations, and classic German festive treats like Gluhwein and gingerbread. Visitors can expect a small number of vendors with a nice mix of authentic cuisine and unique items not typically found in stores. The market provides an opportunity to support local and Illinois businesses while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
One of our Christmas events usually done yearly is the Belleville Christkindlmarkt at the square... It was chilly... I should say cold... but we enjoyed seeing different vendors displaying their items and enjoyed the atmosphere and fun of being there... There was also a horse and sleigh ride... which we did not do this year... but enjoyed when we visited last year... a nice added touch... especially for children... And of course Santa was in... and there was a line to visit Santa... A nice local Christmas tradition...
Rhonda B — Google review
Small Christkindlmarket. If you want the real experience, you'll have to head to Chicago. I was hoping to find imported German candies and glass ornaments, only one booth for ornaments, but not the type I wanted. It was a nice experience, just not everything I hoped for.
Darlene A — Google review
The market is incredibly small, and most of the stalls are just selling the sort of knockoffs you find at mall kiosks. Absolutely not worth it.
Vivienne R — Google review
So these types of things are not my favorites. But it's the season and my spouse wanted to go. I was pleasantly surprised. Small number of vendors but a very nice mix. Some really great food vendors with authentic cuisine. Others had items you won't find at the typical store. Belleville did right with this one.
Ron P — Google review
We got to come and experience the Belleville Christkindl event.. Very nice.. Lovely goodies for sale.. Sweet people at the booths.. We got several things including a purse and wallet from the felted wool pretties booth... Going to go again Monday and check it out closer.. A lot of fun..
Linda R — Google review
The place to shop from small businesses. Many of these are local & Illinois businesses too! There's something for everyone. Come and be a part of this Belleville tradition.
Craig N — Google review
The rudest, most judgemental and passive aggressive people are in charge of this event and treat their customers and vendors very poorly. Take your business elsewhere.

Every Friday, weather permitting, the bar hosts live bands for patrons to enjoy. The Soulard location of Big Daddy's has gained fame for its great food and fresh beer. Customers have praised the exceptional service and unique drink offerings at this establishment. The well-stocked bar and clean environment have also been highlighted by visitors.
Big Daddy’s Deli didn't disappoint! The hot honey chicken sandwich was absolutely fantastic! Perfect balance of flavor and heat. The service was quick and friendly, and the prices are more than fair for the quality you get. Scott, the owner, was as attentive and wonderful as always, making sure everything was just right. Highly recommend this spot!

Came in after midnight on a Friday night to a mostly empty bar and outside. I'm not a party person but my friends wanted to dance, so this was really nice. Staff was friendly and the DJ was good. This experience has actually made me want to go back.

Greeted by whole staff upon entering, even a handshake. Being not a local was very surprised. Little concerned that server(s) were lackadaisical with credit cards on tab. Drink prices are great: 3 Guinness and mixed drink only $12. Music a little loud inside, but back patio area was huge with covered outdoor bar and lots of seating. Nice to fina a place open at 1am in a town already sleeping for weary traveler.

Overall experience was decent. Staff was friendly but never checked on us to see how we were doing or if we needed water topped off. I had to wave them down to ask for basics. The food was good overall. Kids enjoyed their meals. The Chile Colorado was lackluster and full of beans. Fridas Cocina has a much better burrito if Chile Colorado is your thing.

I've been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. The staff is effective, the food is great, and the building is clean/well maintained. Highly recommend.

First timer. Wanted a quick bite of Mexican. The patio was quaint and quiet, but it was humid, so we ate inside. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entry. Guadeloupe was our waitress and she did not disappoint. She took our order and food was out very quickly. The chips are some of the best I've had from any Mexican cuisine restaurant hands down. I ordered the fajitas mixed and it came out piping hot and stayed that way until I'd had enough. Wasn't a fan of the burnt taste in the choriqueso but overall the food was pretty good for the first visit. I'd return again.
Mz Y — Google review
The food and the service both were absolutely phenomenal. I requested a solo booth, which they had. I really enjoyed the alone time. I ordered two different types of tacos a large margarita and enjoyed the chips, salsa and cheese dip.
Samantha M — Google review
Well as soon as we were seated and opened one of our napkins a cock roach came out. We told the guy and he just said sorry. We should have left then. But we stayed. Got the street corn which lacked the seasoning and not hardly any mayo if any. I got the taco salad and it had no flavor, the shell was good. Barely ate it because it was so watery and nothing was making it taste better. My boyfriend said his frito burritos were okay. Cheese dip was good. Salsa was okay. Chips were really crunchy. Was disappointed when the bill came because they did nothing for us. I thought maybe they would discount our bill a little bit or something.
Dawn R — Google review
Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the region. I've been going ever since they opened and the food, service, and quality only ever gets better and better. The staff are wonderful and always take great care of me when I come, no matter how large or small my group is. Stellar margaritas that I can never resist, too. The Cadillac Margs are the best!
Yvette G — Google review
Great food is always appreciated, but over-the-top service is a bonus. We took our (4 and 7 YO) grands for lunch yesterday. Our waiter not only patiently listened to them placing their food orders, he intently followed up with them to be sure they were happy with their meals. This was such a sincere act of kindness and true professionalism.

McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution that has been delighting taste buds for decades. Renowned for its iconic burgers and crispy fries, this beloved chain offers a quick and satisfying dining experience. Whether you're grabbing a meal on the go or enjoying a casual outing with friends, McDonald's remains a staple in the world of fast food, serving up familiar flavors that many have come to love.
Had to come home and finish cooking my $12 meal. Wouldn’t have had a problem waiting 3 more minutes for a fully cooked burger.

Inside is closed. You have to place an order at the second window…What kind of McDonald’s can only handle one order at a time? This one!! Just close if that’s how you have to “function”. This isn’t a one time thing either, the second time I’ve been to this store where this was happening.
Speggtie R — Google review
Ordered 2 big macs basket of fries and a new chicken sandwich... the big macs that i paid nearly $5 a peice for were missing HALF of the ingredients including the second meat patty. What a joke
David M — Google review
Sitting in line, nobody is moving. I can't believe how slow fast food can be at this location.
Kevin A — Google review
I continued to give this location numerous chances and they consistently gave me no reason to ever come back. Rude, inappropriate behavior from the employees. Hollering at each other in front of customers, never have ice cream or frappes available, I guess it’s too much trouble. Oh, and I guess they can bring their children to work?. Kids running around everywhere, behind the counters, in the kitchen. It’s like nothing I have ever seen. And this is not just something that happened one time. I have been back several times thinking it was just a one and done. But nope. Its always something. Lines in drive through are ridiculous and take forever. People are constantly driving off including myself. Lobby doors are always locked but their are kids running around and employees sitting at the tables!!!!! I have been told a few times their systems are down and they are only serving soda. (which is obviously not the case) makes no sense. If your system is down how do you sell anything. Idk who owns this particular store or who is managing it but it is a disgrace. Someone needs to get in there and fix the mess. I don’t know if it’s possible to run a McDonald’s into the ground, but if it is, they are well on the way. Go to the Swansea location! It’s like night and day.
Lisa B — Google review
I liked the new way to order your food on the screen. It worked seamlessly and I placed three different orders. At the end they told me to take a number for our identification. It took them 15 minutes to fix our food which were nuggets and a double cheeseburger. The store was clean and the server was pleasant. If you want your food fast the service was less than ideal. If you have time to spare then it should be a great experience for you.
Mark S — Google review
My fish sandwich was rock hard and the fries had no salt and were cold. Went through the drive through at 6pm so you would think things would be fresh. They also have no small cups so my toddler got a huge cup with her happy meal. It was a waste of money. The owner of this building should really try harder to make sure the food is at least fresh. The staff were at least nice.
Sarah H — Google review
They could certainly benefit from having two order lanes. I waited about 25 minutes total. No one was at the first window to take my payment. I stayed there until it was time to move to the next window. They seemed surprised and a little annoyed that I hadn't paid. It took entirely too long, but at least the fries were hot. Many people pulled out of the line due to the wait.

First they allowed me to purchase items in app that were clearly out of stock (and had been for a couple days). I ordered an ultimate cheeseburger and nuggets in the app with a 15 minute timeframe for pick up. I got to the location to pick up my food and was told “we ain’t got that…we out” (no nuggets) but no one addressed the fact that I was owed a refund. To make matters worse, I got there in about 20 minutes and NONE of my food was ready—hadn’t even been prepared nor started at all. The above conversation was eventually had and I asked how they were going to refund my money because I had already paid in app. The manager says “I don’t know nothing about that or how we can do it.” After about 20-25 minutes, I’m still asking how they will refund so she began to try to figure it out..mind you, MY FOOD IS STILL NOT PREPARED NOR READY (I now waiting on my ultimate cheeseburger and waiting on a refund for the nuggets.) Finally, she gave cash back for the nuggets but my burger is STILL NOT MADE NOR READY. A man from the back—worker number 3 that I’ve dealt with—eventually came and asked if I received my food. I told him no so he went back and through it together and u could tell it was rushed and old. The “meat” was burnt the ingredients tasted weird/old, and the bun was dusty-like and crumbly. I will never come back. I have said this before but this time is the very last time for this location.

I ordered a jr jack with cheese only ketchup and onion. No one informed me they were out of onion. I checked my food before I left. I said something to a manager about not having onions on them. They then informed me they didn't have onions. I asked for a refund. They were going to give me less than what I originally paid for. I showed my receipt and let them know what I paid. I got my money thrown at me and got a rude comment. This is the worst fast food place around here.

Avoid this place like the plague!! Absolutely the worst service and food! (I have watched this place go down in the past year, and now it has hit bottom or maybe not?). So today my wife tried to order two breakfast meals and the person taking the order is confused. Tried to order the tacos and she is informed they are out. After finally placing the order, the guy asks her if she wants to order because they can only take cash. When she says that's okay, he then says that the car ahead of her has a really large order and is she really sure she wants to order. Again she says yes. When the car gets their order, my wife can't help but notice it's just one bag rolled up. Get to the window and the guy takes her money and then shuts the window quickly. Once she gets the food the order is missing a hash brown. When she tells him this he tries to argue about it. He then added one. The hash brown was a little burnt. At this point, she just wants to leave. We both go to enjoy our food and it tastes awful. The eggs and hash browns were burnt and it did not taste how they normally do. I also want to add that the guy didn't give my wife a receipt either after taking her cash. This place has become sketchy. Save your money, save your time, save your patience, and save your taste buds by NOT going here! There are plenty of other places to eat around our area without the headache!!!

I love JIB food, but service at the Swansea location is horrible. I can't say that the worker(s) were bad, but it's always something, every time! We had a bad experience a few months ago. I filled out a complaint on JIB website, which now I can't access for some reason. The regional Mgr. contacted me and smoothed things over. Tried again a few weeks ago, and their kiosk ordering system was jacked up and no one told us. We had to redo our order after waiting 15-20 minutes for food. A couple other people just walked out and one customer got online right there and submitted a complaint. We went back two days ago for breakfast, there were no customers in the drive thru and maybe one car on the lot. The guy on the speaker said he would be right with us. We sat there for 10 minutes before we could order. Went to the window, paid and we were told to drive around to the wait spot. 15 minutes later we finally got our food. 25 minutes total. After we got our food we called home to see if our two kids wanted anything from McDonald's, which is just down the street. 10 cars between the two drive thru lanes and several more customers inside. Waited our turn, Ordered, paid, received the food and gone in under 4 minutes! Why is it so different? Does McDonald's treat their managers better? Do they have enough people on staff that they can afford for a couple of them to not show up????? It will be a long time before I try Swansea JIB again, but when I do, rest assured that they will continue to disappoint.

Ordered 3 burger meals with bacon. Got not a single fry. $40 is a lot for no fries and 1 drink. Attention to detail needs improvement at this location. This hasn't happened at other locations since I am used to the omelet biscuits and hashbrowns (great btw) on my morning commute.
The T — Google review
Staff was rude when another person dining complained about the flies in the dining area, "do I look like a fly catcher?" Was her reply. Followed by her stating "I ain't got time for this" She was then able to lean back on the counter and finish her very loud conversation with other staff. "That lady thinks I'm here to kill flies"

Young white gentleman with blonde curly hair working the drive-thru, he was very sweet and respectful. Seemed like he was by himself doing everything, still kept a positive attitude. Food was good 10/10 but employees definitely need treated better.

Day 5

South side of town
For day 5, we recommend exploring the south side side of town. Start the day off with Laderman Park, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Loop Creek Park. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Laderman Park

Park
Laderman Park is a staple to the Belleville area. I grew up going to baseball practice here in the shaded spots while several other sports teams practiced all around us. There are two ball diamonds, a football field, soccer goals, football equipment to practice with, a playground, a restroom, batting practice netted area, grills, art, pavilions, a long walking trail that encircles the park, and exercise stations along the trail. There's plenty of parking, a few spots with dog waste bags available, and even a groundskeeper's home on the property. Laderman Park is right beside Walnut Hill Cemetery, so there's a small level of spookiness when you walk along the trail because you can't avoid the section with an expansive view of the cemetery. The park is extremely well-shaded with ancient trees everywhere. It's a squirrel's dream and my dog's dream to chase them every time we go, but dogs must remain leashed. Laderman is also host to several events. Things like beepball, birthday parties, baseball and softball practice, and every other outdoor sport you can think of make their home at Laderman. I've noticed people walking on the trail who take their lunch break in the park.

What an Amazing time we had celebrating our daughter's graduation. The pavilion was a lifesaver on the hottest day of the year 6/21/25. I have a few suggestions that might better serve in assisting the community. It would be nice to have access to a water hose connection at the park and cutting the grass on Thursday mornings for weekend activities . Other than that.... Well Done Belleville Park and Recreation!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Nicola H — Google review
The park is made up mostly of ballfields. There is a walking path that goes around the park and past the cemetery across the street.
K O — Google review
The bathrooms were actually open! The playground was clean. There is a merry-go-round here, a rarity these days. The baseball and soccer field are well kept. Lots of old trees meaning good shade if you want it. There are a few sculptures throughout the park. It also has a nice trail with some equipment.
Craig N — Google review
Ordered some food and searched Google for a park with picnic tables. Found this park and on Google it said the time it closed was 10p.m. I was cited by a policeman for being in the park after 6p.m. and it was around 8p.m. City should change times on Google to reflect correct time or inform officers that the time is actually what it is.

Medium-sized neighborhood park with two ball diamonds, a playground, & modern calisthenic stations along a nice relatively short & curvy walking trail.

Very nice playground set, nice walking track around the set, very diverse mutil race/cultural atmosphere...which I loved. Children played innocently no bullying and just a great time overall. I took my niece and nephew for an hour and they said it felt like they were there for 3 hours.......kids! ❤

The Labor & Industrial Museum is a regional museum housed in a restored 19th-century building, showcasing over 1,000 artifacts that chronicle the industrial heritage and workforce of Southwestern Illinois. Belleville's significance as an industrial center for Illinois in the late 19th century is highlighted through enthralling exhibits detailing various industries such as cast-iron stove, brewing, brick, glass, and pattern-making. The museum provides insight into over 200 years of employment history in the Midwest.
I went to this museum for a school observation project. The people working there are super nice and enjoyable to be around. One man was very kind and showed us his Ford Pickup Truck!! I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be recommending it to my friends.
Asterix — Google review
Whether you've lived in Belleville your whole life or visiting for the first time, this small museum is worth a stop for an hour. In a very strong union city, the museum does a wonderful job of painting a picture and capturing employment in the Midwest over the past 200+ years, from ironing to electricity and everything in between. As of Summer 2014 the museum will be expanding to an additional adjacent building, so you can expect more great things to come. Be sure to also checkout the hours of operation on the museum's website to plan your visit.

It is a shame that these politicians feel as though they can be rude and disrespectful to you. It's no wonder the cashier Hanna feels she can be just as rude. The treasurer is something else and when you call her out on it, she says "Okay" in an exaggerated tone. Politicians are sweet as pie during election time. They all need training om how to deal with the public.

The museum features exhibits on St. Clair County's history and boasts a collection of items showcasing Belleville's rich heritage.
The museum is a Victorian era home with a great collection of items that show the rich history of Belleville. The museum is free with donations accepted. I work for find a grave website and I do ALOT of research on graves, cemeteries (existing or nonexistent now) genealogy and other historical things related to graves or burials and cemeteries. I’ve called them MANY times needed research done for graves, burials, or finding cemeteries that no longer exist so I can update the website. They NEVER call me back. I’ve called them a few times and ask them about the research weeks later and they would keep saying “oh. We will get to u when we get to u. We have your number so we will call when we get to it.” It’s been months now and they never called me back. I ended up doing the research on my own. If u need any historical information try the library in Belleville first. They helped me more than the actual historical society.

Great park! The jungle gym was special in that the connector to climb was a climbing slide. My 23 month old had a blast in exploring both playgrounds and walking over the creeks bridge. Definitely a good park for a quick snack and play break. I also found a ring in case someone is searching for it. Not sure ofbthe best place to take it to be found.

NO DOGS ALLOWED!! Place looks run down and not much to do. People in the neighborhood like to speed so be careful. Half the park looks like it’s under construction? The construction people were staring at me and one even asked me “Can I help you?” I don’t even know if it’s a park anymore…. Very strange!
Paige R — Google review
The park was nice although the bushes are starting to become overgrown on the path by the creek. Also there are no dog poop bags and the container has trash in it. The water fountain also does not work, I know why the human part doesn't work but think that the part for the dogs should.

This park still needs real restrooms. Not Johnny's. Other than that the pavillions are not bad ...but the fact that they ruined the hockey rink is a downer. Pavs have power tho, that's dope.

Tavern On Main is a popular spot located in downtown Belleville, offering a variety of pizza, pasta, and sandwiches in a cozy brick-lined space with a full bar and patio seating. The tavern also has an expansion called T2 Taps & Tapas for visitors to explore. Customers have praised the reasonable prices, great service, and delicious food options such as the Salsa Chicken wrap and Sweet Saint Louis Salad.
Met an old coworker here for lunch. It was quite a hopping place. Plenty of staff to cover the crowd. We were able to order and received our food piping hot. Burger was great. Fry portion was a bit small but honestly probably the right size! There are a couple different rooms so you can have a more restaurant experience or bar experience. Staff was attentive and food was great. Would definitely go back.

I was staying at the Super 8 a quick 5 minute walk. I order the Bang Bang Shrimp and a Side Salad to go. I had a cocktail at the bar while I waited. It was very busy with what looked like a lot of locals, but struck up a conversation with some dog show people as I was leaving. Like me, they were celebrating their wins at the show or the wins of their friends. The food and drinks were great, but a little pricey. But what the heck I was celebrating my dog winning today 😊

Service was decent . I didn’t have any issues there. My issue was with the food . I had crab cakes which were dried out & cold. Not fresh. The shrimp is frozen and they just bake/fry & sauce them. But the sauce is good. The salad was kind of old and wilted .. lemonade was like water . Just disappointed.

The restaurant is under new ownership so give them a try. The food was delicious. Service was ok. Be patient... there was one server taking dine-in orders, handling carryout, and taking phone orders. We waited a while for water, silverware, and grabbed napkins off an adjacent table. The place got pretty busy and the server was overwhelmed and visibly stressed. The food was delivered plate-by-plate. A tray would help them quickly get food out to the tables. They need an extra set of hands to help out in the front. Again, the food was great. Will definitely go back.

Our party of three visited on a Monday evening in February to enjoy Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. I was shocked to see a bowl of pho for only $9.99! The menu items aren't super clear, would benefit from brief descriptions. The food was good and the space kind of cute. We shared crab rangoon and pork banh mi sandwich for appetizers. The crab rangoon was great, but the sandwich somewhat plain. The space didn't feel or look the cleanest- our server brought our dishes to the table while sniffling throughout. Pleased with their prices and service. Will be back to try some of the items from the Chinese menu.

I was extremely disappointed. I got the fried rice special the rice was dried out and hard my order of rice only included 2 shrimp 3 SMALL pieces of chicken and 5 TINY pieces of pork no green onions and some white onion the rest was rice, oh and doesn't fried rice normally have egg??? I'm new to town so I was hoping this would be "my go to Chinese place" close to my work and all but I guess I'll continue searching for a good Chinese restaurant! Service was fine.

I have been ordering food delivered on Scott AFB for the past 8-10 years and always had an on time and hot delicious delivery. Today I ordered and the delivery was passed off to doordash who after arriving at base 30 minutes late called and said he couldn't get on base. Why give the delivery to someone that cannot do it? The store says they voided the order which I appreciate, but I received no apology and just a short "we don't have drivers" response. I am now ordering Dominos, which we all know is no where near as good as this would have been.

I’m beyond upset with the service from this location tonight. I placed a delivery order online and the estimated delivery time was 28-38 minutes. After 50 minutes I decided to call the store to get an estimate on when my order would go out for delivery. The response I got was they were short staffed. Fine. I get it. So I said I’ll just go pickup my order. When I got there, they had 2 drivers in the store. I walked in to get my order and they just had it sitting on a metal shelf, not in a warmer or anything. My entire order was cold. Then I got home and opened the boxes. The breadsticks were hard as a rock, burned and dry. The papadilla I ordered was supposed to be ground beef, mushrooms and black olives. It was full of onions. And the pizza has BARELY any crust. I could have made a frozen pizza we had in the freezer and it would have been way better than the food I paid for from papa John’s tonight.

I Ordered the large pepperoni special pizza and another pizza with pepperoni, Chicken, Mushrooms, Bell Pepper, and onions. I ordered 2 orders of Twix bites and a chocolate chip cookie. My pizza was ok but my Twix bites were burned and my cookie was close to being burned...It was late when I ordered so I called the next day and was told that the rules were that if I didn’t call that night that my food can not be replaced...I asked since I wasn’t aware of the rule could I get my bites and cookies...I was told no...I asked him would he want his food burned and given to him and he said no and I asked what make him think I wanted mine burned and he hung up in my face...I called backed and asked did you just hang up in my face and he hung up again and now he won’t answer...

very disgusted! all of their food prep employees were NOT wearing gloves when they were preparing my pizza so i had to ask them to put on gloves. not to mention that there were also other orders coming through and the employees were sitting on their phones. They said that their policy states that they don't need to wear gloves. I find that very hard to believe. I already reported this to their website. The photo i provided shows the employees on their phones and NOT WEARING GLOVES! this papa johns location has just lost a customer.

I’ve been to this store before & the manager told me to press 5 to get store. There’s always miscommunication with the call center, so I call the store. Cassie tells me to press 3 anyway saying “this is the kitchen” whatever that means. (Just Lazy) the driver said they wasn’t real busy. So there’s No Excuse why my cheese sticks look like this. I wasn’t going to give the driver a tip at all, but I work at a hotel, guest order all the time & they barely tip drivers because of this reason. So I know it wasn’t his fault. Tipped anyway. Between Cassie & Call center this was terrible customer service & cheese sticks, barely any cheese. 😒😞☹️

Two stars instead of one because the pizza was decent. The wings however were probably the worst wings I've ever had from a pizza place or any place in my life. They were mushy and rubbery. I questioned if they were real chicken. I threw more than half away because the skin was inedible. Do they boil their chicken? Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't know not to order wings from Papa John's. This must be the lowest grade of chicken available. Made in Vietnam. This is the first time that I've had to take into consideration the time and effort required to get through the mushy disgusting outer layer for the payoff of two bites of supposed chicken meat. Please don't sell this grade of chicken anymore. Perhaps the chicken was too old and had begun to coagulate.

Bread sticks were delivered and literally 2” long. The workers do not care about quality and I will never order from this store again. And when I called to just let them know that they may have an issue (literally not being rude at all) and I was hung up on. Don’t waste your money.

I ordered Uber eats for nathans famous . Its a ghost kitchen made by Dennys. Orderd a 2 Philly cheese steaks. Was supposed to be on a hoggie bun. Came on little hotdogs buns. An it tasted like fish as im eating steak. Orderd two shakes for my two sons. Never received them. Thankfully Uber eats refunded the 50 bucks. Tasted like trash my oldest an I threw it in the trash tasted horrible. Don't order Nathan's famous. On Uber.

Came in about 1145am on a Sunday morning. Lots of open tables and not many cars. Lots of tables without food and drinks. We almost left before the waitress ever came to get our drink orders. Approx 5 + minutes. We went ahead and order our food with our drinks. Food came out faster than I figured. Quality was good. We told the waitress that we drink a lot and to feel free to bring an extra glass or pitcher. She did neither. We were without drink 2 separate times for several minutes. The waitress did not seem very concerned. We did tip, but not like it could have been.

This is a very good Denny's location. Our service was great and the food was solid. The food came out quickly as well. My nachos were great, I substituted chicken instead of beef. The steak was ordered medium and arrived as ordered. My wife enjoyed her breakfast Slam as well. My only complaint is the salsa for my nachos. It was disgusting, it tasted like it had beer in it or something that wouldn't normally be in salsa. Overall, I would recommend this Denny's.

I was so pleasantly surprised by our first visit to this Denny’s. I haven’t been to Denny’s in years anyway, and I just kind of thought it would a bit crummy. But it couldn’t have been further from it! Sheila was our waitress and she was kind and attentive. The food was really good, too. And the prices were so reasonable. We will be back.

We come in here a lot and Sheila is a very friendly and great server. She takes care of us all the time. She is a great asset to you team.

My husband and I were sitting down to enjoy our breakfast when we over heard the General Manager speaking to one of the cooks on the cook line.. We overheard her telling the cook how she had to "curse out" another employee and how she wanted to "punch" him in the face. This is incredibly distasteful and UNPROFESSIONAL! It is sad to see this location fall into such despair as it was once of our favorite breakfast spots...

Waited almost an hour for our food. The server never checked on us once and we had to wall to the host stand to get our check because we waited 15 minutes after eating to get our check and it never came. I never got a refill on my drink. The food was great except for the hash browns were extremely undercooked. It looked like saurkraut because of how white they were.
