Fort Clinch State Park, located on Amelia Island, offers a variety of activities for visitors. The park features a well-preserved 19th-century military fort with guided tours and living history demonstrations. Additionally, visitors can enjoy camping, nature trails, wildlife viewing, and a beautiful beach suitable for biking. With its historical significance and natural beauty, Fort Clinch State Park is a must-visit destination on Amelia Island.
Wow! Took me back in time! The history! The views! Was truly a nice place to peacefully walk around and get a glimpse of the time period. The views from the top area towards the beach are amazing and the admission is very reasonable!!

Very cool and unexpected find on Amelia Island during our vacation. The fort was built before the war of 1812 and most recently still under military control during WWII. It was near exploring all the nooks, kitchens and barracks and offices quarters. You can walk on top of the tour for a view of the river and see Georgia. There is a soldier dressed is union uniform that will answer any questions you have as well as a museum full of all the history. Only $2.50 pp.
Sheri P — Google review
Beautiful fort, I’ve been coming here for years. Great scenery, right by the water. They have a gift shop and visitor’s center as well. It’s $6 per car to get in and an additional $2.50 per person to see the fort. Plenty of parking, but the road from the entry point to the actual parking lot is pretty far with a low speed limit. Overall, it’s worth visiting!
Wade — Google review
Ft Clinch is a beautiful park located on Amelia Island offering bike trails, camping, beach access and interactive history lessons. The state has left much of the native trees and plants intact in this park and it holds the old Florida feel if oaks, palms and Spanish moss that I love. If you want to get away from the crowd and experience real nature this is a great place to spend time. The fort and museum at Ft Clinch was well restored and maintained. There were character actors present who not only knew their roles but history as well. You have 2 options for biking in the patk. There are shared trails in the woods that offer easy to intermediate biking or you can stick to the paved roads. There is a lot of shade and the breeze made everything better. The beaches were full of shells not tourists which was amazing considering it was midsummer. We had no trouble relaxing and watching the waves. There were several people fishing and we hope to camp here in the future and catch some fish too. We rode past the campsites and it looks like 2 are available. If you want private (campers only) beaches and to be in walking distance of fishing then camping here is a great option. For tent camping I would stick to the Amelia River Campground.
Misty D — Google review
Fun activities, lots of history, and very knowledgeable staff and reenactors. I had a blast visiting and cannot wait for my next visit. Very good views of the Fort from the beach, which is easily accessible. There are several enjoyable trails to hike, walk, and bike as well.
Christopher W — Google review
It holds the history of the island. For $6 entrance fees we were able to tour the park. The salt marsh is a great first stop. The light house can be seen from here. The history of the light house is on a plaque at this stop. Walking on dunes is prohibited. A paved road takes you through the park with pullouts along the way. The vegetation is thick on both sides of the road. A camp ground is available too for those interested in camping. The fort itself is something to see. Interesting that there was never an engagement there.
Africancrab — Google review
My boyfriend and I loved exploring Fort Clinch! It was worth the $6 entry fee and $2.50 per person to enter the Fort. The beach at this state park is beautiful but lots of oysters (watch your step)

Seafood restaurant
Seagles Restaurant, established in 1926, is one of the oldest dining establishments in St. Marys. It offers a diverse menu for lunch and dinner, complemented by an array of beverages including wines and cocktails. The restaurant also hosts live entertainment and events for its patrons to enjoy. Situated near the dock, it provides a hospitable staff and delicious food such as Bourbon Bacon Salmon with cheesy grits, shrimp scampi, and fried oysters appetizer.
Great food! Loved the fried tomatoes! The salmon was delicious! Smithwicks Red Ale on draft was a bonus! SEAGLES has seating for just about any type of dining atmosphere. A nice bar nook quiet and secluded, an open dining room with a pleasant view to the docks, an outside bar with lots of open seating in another area, and yet another room that had karaoke going on when we were there.

Last night's dinner was a culinary disappointment of epic proportions. The anticipation for a delicious meal quickly soured into a frustrating and unsettling experience. After being seated, my wife and I were left to our own devices for 30 minutes. We had to flag down the hostess, who assured us a server would be with us shortly. When our server finally arrived, he not only reeked of alcohol, but we then had to endure another 20-minute wait just for our drinks. The true test of our patience came with the food. After waiting an additional 45 minutes, the food arrived cold and utterly unappetizing. The "fresh" shrimp were passable at best, while the scallops were completely devoid of flavor. The abysmal service and poor food quality were only half the story. The restaurant itself was in a shocking state of disarray. My wife pointed out the dozens of dead flies lining the windowsills—a truly repulsive and unsanitary sight that raises serious questions about the establishment's cleanliness. This dining experience was a masterclass in how to fail on every front: service, food quality, and hygiene. It's safe to say we will never be returning to this establishment.
Dylan L — Google review
We sat in the bar area. The staff was accommodating and ordered several appetizers; scallops, shrimp and wings. The old bay seasoned wing were way too salty, the homey garlic ones were great. Scallops were served on sweet bacon bits, surprisingly tasty. The shrimp were obviously fresh and not tough. Enjoyed great service.
Brian A — Google review
My family and I were enjoying the Little Christmas party nearby and decided to give this restaurant a try. The atmosphere is nice, the food was decent to taste, however very pricey for the portion. For a $20-$25 plate and up, you should get a meat, startch and 1-2 vegetable/side options. The grilled shrimp and salmon were seasoned well, but the scallops lacked a good seasoning! The ranch for salads is homemade and that was great. The waitress was nice. Also shortly after we left my our stomachs weren't settled. Overall not a bad place to eat, however, we will not eat there again.
Kerri K — Google review
Super large menu, lot of options! The appetizers were AMAZING! They were the star of the show for sure. Entrees we’re good too. Seafood is top quality! Bacon wrapped scallops and mussels were our apps. I had grilled salmon for my entree - tad too salty to me. Fiancé had shrimp - they were HUGE and very delicious! They have a formal dining room as well as a speakeasy room, pretty neat!
William S — Google review
Great atmosphere, great service. Warm and cozy, steak was good. Piano music added to the touch. Great place to ear after a long day of walking on Cumberland. Nice view of the main street as well. Lovely town and place to eat.

The new owner has really made some great improvements to this restaurant that is also attached to the historic Riverview Hotel. The new menu is very good and the freshly renovated dining area provides a welcoming atmosphere. They even have a speak easy that includes a entrance through a London style phone booth. The service is friendly, accurate and reasonably quick. We love taking our out of town visitors here to give them a true feel of a local restaurant in St Mary’s.

Great outside seating. Smoking is allowed (we don't smoke). Place seemed fairly slow, so our service was great. I got the blackened scallops and were perfectly cooked. As a chef by trade, I was impressed! The asparagus were good as well!. My lady had the BLT, and she liked it as well. She just wishes the Cole Slaw was a little sweeter. Overall, we had a good experience and will definitely come back. They do have a "restaurant" on the other side of the saloon entrance if you want that experience.

St. Marys Waterfront Park - Howard Gilman Memorial Park is a stunning riverside park with an open green space, a picturesque walkway along the river, and a charming boat launch. The park features an event gazebo, a playground for kids, and breathtaking water views. Families can enjoy spending time here as there are plenty of activities for all ages, from playing games to simply taking leisurely walks. The park also offers convenient amenities such as benches, picnic areas, and ample parking.
Such a lovely waterfront park in a beautiful, friendly town. We frequently stop in to visit for a while when we are traveling in this area. I took time to visit a few shops this time and recommend those for their wonderful variety of artistic gifts, many locally made, at great prices. The folks running the shops were very friendly, welcoming, and well informed about their town. St Marys makes a wonderful day trip, or a place to spend more time to dig deeper into a beautiful area.

Fell in love with this beautiful park the first time we drove into town & just had to move here. Very relaxing to sit in the swings, read a book & watch the river. Live music on occasion. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. I could go on & on but come see for yourself.

Beautiful area! This park is amazing, open, beautiful, well maintained. Large pavilion with wheelchair access, clean restrooms with convenience store, beautiful fountain, lots of seating, playground and adult swings overlooking the water. There's a very large amphitheater on the water. There's lots of museums within walking distance. Lots of boats to watch. Every parent at the playground was very friendly!

Nestled in between Brunswick Georgia and Jacksonville Florida is St. Mary's Georgia. It is a nice city to visit for its waterfront l park, good dining, and access to Cumberland Island. You can spend a whole day relaxing in town or even a weekend at one of the bed and breakfasts they have in the area. I recommend the Spencer House Inn.

Located in downtown with a view of the St. Marys River, Riverside Cafe is a Greek-influenced American restaurant offering a variety of freshly prepared dishes and daily specials. The menu includes Southern-comfort meat and seafood combinations as well as Greek cuisine options like lamb wraps and souvlaki. Diners can enjoy their meals on the outside patio overlooking the river before catching the ferry to Cumberland Island. The cafe also offers friendly service and a good location near the water for a pleasant dining experience.
This is one of our go to’s for date night. The mozzarella sticks with marinara is to die for. The view is fantastic. We always dine in, but you can also dine on the patio. They also have the best chocolate ganache cheesecake for dessert. The staff is always so polite and they do a great job.

Riverside is a Greek restaurant beside the st Mary river. We had the Mediterranean pasta with chicken, pork chop dinner, Reuben sandwich, and mozeralla caprese. Food was great. Pesto that came with the caprese was rather weak but overall good experience.

Great food, service and beautiful view of down town while eating! Server Marsha was fantastic. Food was fresh, flavorful, we will be back. Thank you!

My lasagna was good, but we were annoyed they wouldn’t serve chicken strips to my wife. They have chicken strips on the kid’s menu, but don’t have an adult version and wouldn’t let an adult order from the kid’s menu, nor did they find a way to make it work (up charge and add a strip to the kid’s version or something). Just a poor service choice imo. She got a burger that was just okay. The fries were good.

Everything was exceptional. Katie was an amazing waitress. Food was made to order. Fresh and too hot to touch. We are not from the area but we will be back. If you are close it’s worth the drive. The gyro is fantastic. Taking Baklava to go as it came highly recommended !

Went in to place a to go order. Waited behind one customer. Once the person was done the employee walked away and started a conversation with another employee. About 3 feet from me. About how the tables are numbered. No other customers inside. Just two employees talking to each other. Clearly that was more important than helping a paying customer.

We so enjoyed the Riverside Cafe! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We started with fresh calamari. I had Greek Lasagna and was very pleasantly surprised. It was very rich & creamy. Nestled just a short drive from the historic district, St Marys Seafood & More is a charming tavern that embodies the essence of Southern comfort food with its extensive menu featuring both seafood and turf dishes. The restaurant boasts a delightful maritime ambiance, making it feel like an authentic seafood shack. Diners can indulge in fresh, locally sourced oysters, shrimp, crabs, and fish prepared in various styles.
I recall the first time visiting this restaurant was in 2019. My first visit here was amazing, and I love seafood as well. I didn't know what order at first, so I decided to go with crabcakes, fried mac and cheese ball, which I've never had before, and collard greens with diced ham in it, and hushpuppies as well. Everything was excellent. My roommate ordered the shrimp ettouffé, and that too was excellent. I plan on returning here this as the time and weather permits me to.

Great food and service! Not a lot of cars in the parking lot for our late lunch, but once inside, the place and staff were very welcoming! Everything was cooked to perfection, and the tarter sauce was super creamy!

My wife and I discovered St. Marys Seafood and More at the Osborne Road location while at a nearby B&B in the summer of 2017 – and have returned literally dozens of times both here and at the restaurant in St. Augustine near World Golf. No matter the location – every single time without fail, this place has delivered the best seafood ever. My wife always orders the fried butterfly shrimp; I choose the Pick 2, with fried fish and oysters. I go with the huge dinner portion (pictured) even at lunch! I think the secret to their success is that they lightly fry everything so that it’s not greasy or oily in the least. The accompaniments, whether fries, coleslaw or creamed corn, are excellent. We always time lunch for St. Marys on our trips from our home in Orlando up to the Carolinas – it’s a highlight of the journey. We have even driven to St. Augustine on a day trip just because it’s so darn good. The service is always first-rate friendly. Sonia has been our server the last couple of trips at the Georgia location, and she is great. This place, whatever the location, is an absolute gem, definitely a restaurant I look forward to when traveling.

We visited Friday night 8/8/25 and it was perfect all the way around! Our waitress was super tentative and kept our drinks full. I wish I remembered her name she was telling us about her son turning 30 in march and the youngest being 27 how fast they grow. The food was equally top notch!! Super fresh, hot cooked to perfection. We were going to visit ship 2 shore but they were busy and glad we chose to visit st Mary’s seafood! Keep it up guys.

Local vibes! You can tell right away this is a local's spot. There's plenty of parking. We came on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, so we were seated right away. There's a bar, dining tables and some half booths. The ambience is very fish-house style. The food was really good and the service was standard. Our server was personable and attentive during our stay. I ordered the pick 2 combo, as did my mom and sister. I went with the fried shrimp, blackened fish, and a side of pilaf rice and fries. I drank a Pepsi, as they have Pepsi products. The fried shrimp was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed it the most. The fish portion seemed a bit small, compared to other seafood restaurants, but it was fresh and tasty. The fries were yummy with their ranch dip, and the rice pilaf was a bit dry in my opinion. The combo also came with complimentary hushpuppies, which were good as well. The given tarter and cocktail sauces were delicious and a great dip for the food. The food came out pretty quickly, and my mom and sister seemed to enjoy their scallop and oyster dishes as well. I would recommend this seafood restaurant if you're looking for a local's seafood spot in St. Mary's.
Jean V — Google review
Service is not a thing here... drinks and food were set on the end of the table, the server would barely look at us when she came by. Took our order and was patient, which is nice because of having indecisive children. A salad was ordered and brought without any dressing, food was way overpriced for what came out, looked like it was straight from the frozen section at the cheap grocery stores, fried oysters were 90% batter and tiny tiny morsels of oyster, the fried green tomatoes were battered and unseasoned and served without any customary sauce, fried calamari was the same way. Service at this establishment is a joke and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Ever. Period. Pricing- charging quality seafood restaurant pricing for scraps... if you want some seafood or a good meal... its not here... drive to downtown Saint Mary's, stay in Kingsland, or better yet, just take your business to Amelia Island, because for that price... we would have gotten our money's worth elsewhere.

Guests can choose to ride in open-air rail cars, caboose, or even the locomotive itself for an additional fee.
This place is amazing. I first came here back in 2016 for my 9th birthday, and it was amazing. There were pirates who boarded the train before we left the station, so that was a fun little experience. I later went to the part of town by the river (that the town is named after), and I found out where the pirates came from. In short, it was the second best trip to St. Mary's ever. 1st being my more recent trip to Cumberland Island.

Very disappointing... To start, their website is awful. It's hard to even figure out if you are on the right website. The trip descriptions are so vague, that you can't tell what you are actually getting with the trip that you book. My family and I did the Easter Train. With the little information on the website, we believed that our train journey would last 2 hours and go into the downtown area of St. Mary's. On our non-scenic route next to Wendy's, McDonald's, and several car dealerships, the staff made an announcement to get cameras ready because we were about to cross a picturesque bridge. Finally, we thought we were about to get to the pretty part. We then came to a complete stop for 5 minutes in between the chemical tankers and reversed, heading back to the station. The staff, who were really doing their best, started scrambling to entertain with silly games to distract from the fact that we were just denied what we were all expecting. We made it back to the station within 1 hour of departure... (on our 2 hour adventure) The egg hunt was literally a 50' x 50' patch of grass with plastic eggs just dumped on the ground. Very unimpressive... We expressed our disappointment, and were offered the "possibility" of another complimentary ride. We left our information with the promise of a call the following week. It never happened. Again, I have to say that the crew on the train were very friendly and doing their very best to ensure a good time for the kids. Beyond that, it was a total disappointment and not worth the money. There is potential, but they need to work on their operations in a major way.

Rode the Santa Train ride and had a nice time. The crew and volunteers are all very welcoming. Easy to get there, get on and then just a short drive down to the waterfront. Made for a great day. Would recommend for all ages.

Took our grandson on a train ride for his birthday. It was an amazing day! All of the train staff seemed to go above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful day. Our grandson is still talking about his visit.

Dog park
Very nice large off leach dog park. Lots of too room for the pups to run. There are a couple benches and one picnic table to sit and lots of trees for shade.
Traci R — Google review
The park was in pretty good shape today The old equipment is still there and somebody built a nice little platform with a ramp out of a pallet all in all pretty decent today these pictures are from this most recent trip.Just a little bitty yellow caterpillar stung me on the arm I didn't even see it. Park is just kind of so so. It was freshly cut so it smelled nice and looked nice but it could be so much nicer it could be a really nice park it's just kind of rundown and dated but we still enjoy going there.
Lucian B — Google review
Nice park...but needs maintenance. Have been on a super long car ride and my dogs were not welcome in the section for big dogs because a man said he wasn't sure how his dog would react or wasn't willing to monitor his naughty dog. Sad when pet parents are not willing to do proper training. He was not monitoring it even when other large dogs wanted to come in so people left. Once he was gone the rest of us all had fun. The much smaller section for little dogs was even worse for wear. Gaps under fences in 2 areas from 3-5 foot in width off the ground by more than 5 inches. I spent majority of my time patching them with the sticks and logs that were all over. Small dog area... No grass here either...lots of pine cones, leaves and debris. Overall we had a good time and was finally able to run after being in the car for so long.
RebeccA D — Google review
Decent dog park, agility equipment is getting some age to them and the doggy bags are gone, and grass needs cut. Other than that though it is a nice place to take the dogs if you don't have much room.
Curtis R — Google review
Very well maintained relaxing LEASE FREE park. The park is big enough for my pups to run around or rest in the shade. This park has been a wonderful benefit to our community.

Nice dog park and all the people and dogs tend to be friendly. Well kept other for the owners who leave poop every now and then.
Stephen K — Google review
Great place to let your dogs mingle. Usually early am and late afternoons /early evenings are the best time with a variety of breeds large and small. If you have a new dog and are not sure how they will react weekdays, mid afternoon is how I would introduce them. Walk them around the park and let them get some good smells in, they will then recognize other participants scents and it will make it easier on them.

Red Moose is a charming eatery that offers a delightful blend of comfort food and creative culinary options. With an inviting atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for lunch, though it can get quite busy, so arriving early is advisable. The menu features an array of delicious sandwiches and burgers, including favorites like the Road Runner Chicken Sandwich and Big Moose Burger.
This was my 2nd experience here. The 1st was with my friend the 2nd with my husband. Staff both times where friendly and helpful with menu selection. The menu is a lot but have fun and creative choices. I love the custom sweet and unsweetened teas I believe they change daily. As a POC I can say I felt welcomed both times. It’s lunch only tho. They can get busy so get in there. I will surely be back again.
Glam S — Google review
Really good sandwiches and burgers. I’ve had the road runner chicken sandwich, the Big Moose Burger and the slaw dog from here. All were good. One thing that bothers me is I’m unsure how my $10 Sandwich and $3 side kept coming out to $16, but the sides aren’t that special anyway so I’m fine with going without them.
Wally G — Google review
Cute little restaurant that serves sandwiches, soups, and burgers. I got the Banh Mi with coleslaw. So good. Never too busy. Love this place for a quick bite to eat.
Yuko S — Google review
Down home atmosphere, excellent service, and funky creative menu that remembers it comfort food roots. Scones, tea, coffee and bread pudding almost as good as Momma's.
Jeffrey D — Google review
Lovely little spot ! Stevie Sticks (fries, pulled pork, Carolina gold, coleslaw, jalapeño, bacon) not pictured, but it was a worthwhile appetizer — quite filling so I’d recommend a smaller size. What I got was a half portion of the raspberry vinaigrette and candied walnut salad as well as half of the Swiss, ham, sun-dried tomato spread sandwich. Absolutely delicious and will be coming back to try their other menu items.

Located in St. Marys, GA, 401 West Restaurant offers a picturesque dining experience with its stunning location by the Georgia coast. The restaurant is praised for its breathtaking views of marsh grasses and beautiful sunsets that create an unforgettable atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy outdoor deck seating overlooking the river while indulging in local culinary delights and beer offerings. Despite some stretched service, guests rave about the delicious warm fish dip, flounder with corn salsa over grits, and the 401 burger.
Love coming here! Ate on the deck as the bugs weren't too bad and they had the fans on. One of these times I'll select something other than the onion soup and shrimp and grits!! The view is incredible and if clear night you will experience gorgeous sunsets over the marsh. Shannon was attentive but not overly so and very friendly.
Natalie L — Google review
Wife and I stopped in to. 401 West restaurant for dinner on our way beck home from JAX airport. Reading on line we learned this restaurant features local fare in its culinary and beer offerings. The entrance is upstairs and the outside deck seating overlooking the river was very nice. The service was a bit stretched, however the food was very good. The warm fish dip and bread appetizer was superb as were the flounder with corn salsa over grits, and the 401 burger. The place was surprisingly empty for a Friday night and we left not knowing what the marketing theme of the restaurant was as it felt a bit eclectic. The decor, music, craft beer, menu, prices, ambiance didn't seem to to be in sync however with that said, my wife and I agreed to return because the food was outstanding.
Jim J — Google review
Great view/ location, Food was great, the rooftop was our favorite. Love that y’all serve the local brackish beer (one of our favorites)! Only downfall was food took an hour even for the appetizer and they don’t take reservations so there is a long wait. We found ourselves ready to go after waiting so long for each thing. Hoping it improves!
Kathryn P — Google review
Just hand one of the best dinners I have had out in a while! We started with a pork plate which was delectable and I also ordered onion soup. 401 West has some of the best onion soup I have ever had and it's one of my favorites so I try to order it as much as I can. For our entrees I ordered the Hanger steak which was so tender and very well prepared with no fat. Michael had the jalapeno cheddar risotto, Gordon Ramsey would have approved 👍 Then for dessert we had the chocolate strawberry bombe which had just the right amount of sweetness. We will be going back for sure.
Krista G — Google review
Great views with delicious southern cuisine. Fun place to bring the family with yard games if you have to wait, but worth the wait. Great cocktails to also to be social. Add to you list when in the area, we plan to go back on our next visit down to St Mary.

I had the opportunity to dine at 401 West in St. Marys, GA TWICE last weekend on the Georgia coast. Recommend by a local innkeeper a year or so ago (I visit St. Marys/Cumberland Island 2x/year), I finally was able to fit it into my plans. It goes without saying that their location is off the charts! Marsh grasses, a cool breeze, and the salty sea air combine to enhance your dining experience. So let's talk about the SUNSETS! You just cannot stop taking photos (see mine!). The first night I enjoyed my meal with yummy bread and seafood pasta. Oh, to start, I also had a roasted beet, goat cheese, spiced pecans and arugula salad ($10) which was really good. I shared the bread basket ($4) with my friend, which included creamy butter and what I think was some kind of peach chutney. They make their own pasta, which is a plus. It was an ample portion for me. Fettucini noodles with a light parmesan cream sauce over scallops and shrimp ($27). Delish! I returned two nights later with a larger group. My starter this time was the onion soup ($8) which was very good (in all honesty, it could have been a bit hotter but I like my soup steaming! It did not stop me from scraping the bottom of the bowl, though!). And yes, I did a repeat of the seafood pasta which tasted even better than two nights prior. Our server, Stevie, did a great job handling a hungry gaggle of gal-pals who arrived ravenous right off the Cumberland Island ferry, complete with some high-maintenance demands! (Tip your servers well...the past 2 years have been tough for the industry!) Both times, we sat on the covered deck overlooking the marsh and St. Marys River. It was delightful both times and I will definitely return next time I'm in town. There is also an inside bar and dining room which looked lovely, and had beautiful artwork on the walls. Ladies' room was clean. Restaurant is very walkable from the center of St. Marys waterfront. All in all, it was a wonderful customer experience! I highly recommend it.
Terry S — Google review
Great atmosphere and service. Food was delicious and fresh. Only complaint was ceaser dressing was kind of tasteless but I like strong dressing so that's just my preference. Seafood past was some of the best I have had so far.
Nicole P — Google review
Loved the bacon balls for the appetizer and my whiskey sour was good and at a good price($7) too. I got the duck and pinto beans entree was a bit disappointed for $17. It had little duck and pork and I couldn't tell the difference between the two meats. Came with a wedge of cornbread. Great view. Noisy and hard to hold a conversation. But will go again and try a different entree. Heard there 401 burger is awesome.

Diners rave about the quality of their meals—often fresh and well-prepared—making it a favorite spot for families after a day at the park. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every visit feels special.
The young man at the front was so nice to me and the food it was actually cooked to order I ate half of it before I could figure out how to take the picture but it was great and I loved it and they were very friendly

Went for lunch. When driving up, it was very hard to tell if they were opened. The employee was quick to take my order through the drive thru and was friendly. I got a bacon cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks. Came out quick but looked thrown together and mozzarella sticks tasted old.
Heather M — Google review
When I got there, I wasn't sure they were even open. There were no cars and no people. Went through the drive thru. Ordered a #9 chicken sandwich combo. The poor chicken looked like it had been through it! Maybe, not sure but almost like they had cooked it and it sat there and when I ordered it they threw it back in the fryer. I thought maybe the grease to but my fries were good. My fries were all dumped in the bag sideways. Ughhh. I did try to order cheesy tots but was told they didn't have any. Disappointed because I really wanted to try them. Service was ok. She looked like she was doing it all by herself so I didn't get a total til I drove up to the window. So all in all it was a 3 experience for me.
Amanda J — Google review
If yall gonna pay your employees to be there until 12, maybe they shouldn't hide from the drive thru at 11:30. I just spent 14 hours in the kitchen too, we closed at 10 and I took my last order at 10:15, yea it sucked but I cooked the people their food! Would have been really nice to have been offered the same basic courtesy!
Motev8 D — Google review
I’ve come here pretty often, some days they aren’t great but today they earned a good review, I got the bacon king and added a few things, never have I seen such a perfect burger come out looking the way this one did, no pics because I already destroyed it but it was so well put together. The woman that gave me the food was so quick and sweet. Amazing.
Dustin H — Google review
I don't go there often but when I do, that's always an issue. This last time they forgot my order. The people behind me was getting their food ahead of me. I had to remind them that I was waiting on my order. The food is good, but the service sucks.
Clayton W — Google review
They say they close at midnight but at 11:42 we pulled up and tried to order they said they were only taking online orders. So we immediately put in an online order, it took our order and charged us pulled back around the drive thru when we got to the speaker they turned off the lights. Mind you it was 11:47 at that point. Pulled up to the drive thru window to get someone’s attention. They opened the window and said they were closed. Again it was not 12am. It wasn’t even 11:50 but they had already shut down all their equipment. They said they could offer us whoppers and I don’t even remember what else but it is not what we ordered and we wanted what we ordered. If they are going to close early and not service their customers then they need to change their hours of operation. They did fire the grill back up and make what we ordered which was the impossible burger and I feel like burnt one side of each one on purpose. We did not find that out til we got back to where we were staying because they mindfully put the burnt side facing the bottom of the bun. One side was cooked perfectly the other side was burnt black. I feel like it was retaliation for us not being ok with our order going thru online being charged and us not accepting we are already closed due to it was still operation hours. I will never give my business to this location again.
Kimberly B — Google review
I love taking my kids here for lunch after park days, and every time we come, the food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is very nice, and they do a great job making our family feel welcome each time. It has become our favorite fast-food restaurant around town.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday. It was our first visit since new ownership and we were very impressed by the food and its presentation. We got the Belgian waffles with bacon, a side of hashbrowns and burrata salad. Not pictured but also enjoyed the hummus and pita bread. The space was clean, our server was friendly and the service was quick. Prices were fair and we enjoyed our food immensely!!

The food was good however there are only a few tables in a back room. It was 60° outside and they had a ceiling fan blowing on us on high. When we asked to turn it off, she said she can't reach it. So we froze. The French toast was made from normal pieces of bread, so it was thin. The potatoes and bacon were good, along with the grits.

Wanted to give this a try since the new owner has taken over. I ordered Chicken Biryani and it was very good. It came with 2 sides. I chose the vegetable salad - lettuce, tomato, red onion, Cucumber, and broccoli. The salad was fine but the broccoli was very salty. While I was there 3 people, 2 different groups, showed up on bikes. There is no place to put a bike. I think the owner might want to consider putting in a bike rack.

Had breakfast / brunch here today. Tiny little hole-a-the-wall place. The food was very very good, just like your grandma was back in the kitchen making biscuits and pancakes for you! The service was welcoming and efficient. We highly recommend their all-day breakfast, but they have lunch items on the menu as well.

I always leave Cedar Oak Cafe happy and full. Their new additions are some of my favorites! The biryani chicken is some of the best I’ve been able to find stateside! For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like McIntosh Sugarmill Park. Nature & Parks
Park
Nestled by the Intracoastal waterway and surrounded by a maritime forest, Crooked River State Park is a nature lover's paradise. The park features a nature center, short hiking trails through the forest, and a boardwalk offering views of the swamp and abundant birdlife. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as bird-watching, kayaking on the river from the boat ramp, and exploring various trails.
This coastal state park offers a refreshing escape with its beautiful natural scenery. The diverse trails are perfect for leisurely strolls or invigorating hikes. Visitors can enjoy camping under the stars or rent a cozy cabin nestled among the trees. The park also boasts excellent fishing spots along the river and provides opportunities for wildlife viewing. It truly is a cherished destination for creating lasting memories. I've been visiting since I was a kid. I love how peaceful it is.
Christopher W — Google review
Quick trip to get away a few days and Crooked River didn't disappoint. Camped with my tiny camper. The RV spots were very nicely maintained. Scenic sunsets and sunrises for most of the spots. The trails were lovely. Very easy hikes at this park. Staff and camp host were all very gracious and helpful. Loads of turtles around!
Monica R — Google review
This park is super clean and well maintained. The staff and volunteers are very helpful and friendly. This trip was only my husband and I but would love to come back with the grandkids as the hiking trails are very easy and the park area has miniature golf and several play grounds. Restrooms are very clean. You can ride your bike on the paved roads all around the park but there are no areas except on the hiking trails destinated just for bikes. The boardwalk area shown in several pictures is no longer here. It was severally damaged in one of the recent hurricanes. That was our only disappointment. If you like fishing or kayaking this seems to be the place people enjoy for both. Note to be sure if you need a camping site with sewer to carefully choose your site as half the sites do not have sewer hookups. Sites are very spacious if you have a larger RV.
Shawn A — Google review
Campsite 15 Very nice! We were on the river, nice view, private. There are 2 loops one side has full hookups. The inner sites are more open. Very flat, well marked. Pull throughs seem quite large. Friendly staff, easy to find, lots of activities, including trails and wildlife blinds. Bathhouse older but in good repair. Bring bug spray! Mosquitos aplenty at night, and ants during the day. But worth a visit!!
Tom C — Google review
Gorgeous scenery. Large camping sites. There are hiking and biking trails. As for fishing you need to have a vessel to get you on the water as there is only one bank to fish from. The tortoises are here and a lot faster than one would think.
Ashley A — Google review
Enjoyed our visit, love the trails and fishing the Pamlico River, we will definitely be back soon.
Duane C — Google review
This is our go-to state park. I've been coming her since I was a kid. Miles of pine trails, and later in the evening, you will see deer. Nice play area for the kids and a nice view of the st. Marys River.
John L — Google review
This state park is beautiful. Everywhere we went inside the park appeared to be well maintained. Several trails, picnic areas, open areas and water/fishing access. I ended up renting a cabin within the park, which is a cool feature. Now when we got to the cabin, they expressed to us that these cabins are to be kept clean, organized, etc. I got excited at first, thinking that the cabin would be very nice and we'll maintained. Despite the binder reinforcing everything right inside the door, this place was very dirty. Dust piled up in corners, cobb webs everywhere, the fridge was gross, etc, it made for a not so nice stay. Thumbs up for the park, two thumbs down for the cabins.

There is a private parking lot and picnic tables BUT BE WARNED we experienced a ton of mosquitos! So BUGGIE SPRAY the Heck out of your exposed body parts! I got ate up and so did Tony! It's much larger than it looks from the parking lot! There's a Historical marker available to read about the previous owner dates and Plantation name! Definitely recommend & hope you enjoy!

This was a random cool find driving between St Mary's historic downtown to the Crooked River State Park. A beautiful old surgar mill historic home built in 1825 called the Tabby Sugar Works owned by John Houstoun McIntosh. It was a massive ruin still su h a solid structure and amazing to walk through. No restrooms that I saw, but a walking trial we did not have time to explore. Need to go back!

Interesting place to stop by. Note that parking is very limited... it is a short walk from the parking area and the photos are amazing!

The mosquitos were the worst that I have ever seen. We could enjoy the site due to the mosquitos. Unless you have a pint of blood to spare don’t get out of your vehicle, admire from afar.

This is one of those hidden Gems!!! You should take 15 minutes out of your Day and stop by. Be careful you could drive right past it. Big beautiful Oaks, lots of shade. Try to imagine, all hand built in 1825 pretty amazing. Look for the Wood still in place above the Door.... Window????

Cool, historic Sugarmill ruins, very easy access. Large multi-level/room mill ruins were constructed with tabby and are a excellent example of tabby construction.

Plum Orchard is a stunning landmark with a rich history, offering visitors the chance to explore the grounds and learn about how the ultra-rich lived during America's Gilded Age. While camping during certain times may limit access to the wilderness area and Plum Orchard, there are opportunities for managed hunts. It's important to note that while there is potable water available at Plum Orchard, the water north of Sea Camp Campground requires treatment before drinking.
Plum Orchard is an incredibly preserved Gilded Age mansion once owned by the Carnegie family. Once you step onto the grounds, you fall in love; from the live oak trees draped in Spanish moss to palm trees and ferns. This place is special. Our wonderful docent took us on a full tour, showing us each floor, including the basement, indoor swimming pool, squash court, and servant quarters. We were absolutely blown away by the beautiful decor, furnishings, and wealth. From what we understand, it can be difficult to arrive as most folks have to bike or walk far to get here on the island. We anchored our sailboat in the river outside the home and parked our dinghy at the dock. Tours are free; check the NPS website to confirm tour times and be sure there isn't open game hunting during your visit (tours are suspended for a few days during hunts for obvious reasons). As the home is on the Cumberland Island National Seashore, visitors should pay $15/person to access the island. Info on how to pay was posted on a sign next to the dock.

This is such a lovely historic home! The tour was amazing and even covered the icemaking technology used in the early 1900s. The original wall paper is gorgeous and the wood is so beautiful! When we went we also saw wild horses and some very cool sea birds on the property.

Way too long a bike ride when getting off the ferry. The trail is sandy and doesn't provide good tracking for bikes. Took us 2 hours to get there and they only had tours at 11 and 1.

The hour long tour allowed you to be accessible to many private rooms of the mansion. The tour guide was privy to many family secrets and shared them with an entertaining flair. Be sure to have your camera ready as you are allowed to take flash photography as much as you like. I was surprised they invited anyone to play the Carnegie piano as well. There are several picnic tables under huge oak trees, so plan to have a picnic on the beautiful spacious lawn. This is a bargain since the tour is free!

We didn't get to see the interior because it is closed for some renovations, but it is a beautiful site. If you are backpacking up to Brickhill Bluff or staying at Yankee Paradise, this is a must-stop destination. There is a hose bib on the right side of the front porch that has the best tasting water on the entire island and it doesn't have to be treated. Plus, there are bathrooms open at hunt camp on the property which is a super nice convenience.

Beautiful landmark, we were there Easter weekend so we didn't get to tour the inside but the grounds were great. There are places to fill potable water around the house- for all the backpackers this is good to know because there are not many streams to pump from.

Well worth the trip out there to the mansion! We took the lands and Legacy tour and went out in a van.

Little mini mansion but very cool to walk through and see everything. I especially loved the gigantic ice maker in the basement.

Breakfast restaurant
Buenos Dias Restaurant in St. Marys, Georgia, is a delightful gem that combines the best of American breakfast with authentic Mexican lunch offerings. Nestled beside a gas station, this cozy eatery serves up mouthwatering dishes like breakfast burritos and omelets alongside traditional favorites such as tacos and enchiladas. The menu also boasts daily soups and chef's specials like Chiles Rellenos and Chimichangas.
The food has always been great. The new location though is wonderful! My wife and my friend really talked about the colors they used and how warm and welcoming it was. The tables were great because they have a cut out for us fellas who have a little more girth. The waitress kept the coffee coming, and the food was of course fantastic as always. I highly recommend this place. I hope everyone supports it.

I ordered 3 breakfast burritos 🌯 to go. I only got 2 small salsas and 3 very small portions of home fries and an overripe small piece of cantaloupe. The burritos had very small amounts of meat in them. Mostly eggs and potatoes. Paid $50 for eggs and potatoes?? Not impressed.

The wife and I went there. It was the second day opening. I was surprised to find out they were short on people. We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. After that we had to wait another 15 minutes to get served. I had the huevo rancheros it was not worth the wait. The wife had some kind chicken burrito. She was not impressed. We will be back to try it again to see if it gets better. I will let you know when I go back.

They just moved into this new restaurant. Their food was always good, my brother eats here all the time. I was on vacation visiting him and we ate here together once and then I came back and ate by myself as I was leaving. The breakfast are generous and tasty. They're served hot. Be aware they only have one size of freshly squeezed orange juice and it's good but it's a lot.

Lovely spot for a hearty breakfast before adventure. Huevos rancheros were absolutely delicious. As a table we wrapped up with some French toast and pecan sauce, delightful. The home made sauce was a hit with a kick.

A great experience. Food was authentic and delicious. I went with the servers recommendation for the poblano and steak burrito which turned out to be a very good choice. The burrito was flavorful and a large portion at a good value.
