Nature & Parks
Park
Blue Spring State Park, situated on the St. Johns River near Orange City, is a popular destination in Florida known for its cool-water spring and diverse recreational activities. It is the largest spring on the river and serves as a winter refuge for endangered Florida manatees from November to March.
Very clean walk ways and bench areas, well placed signs and cool picture opportunities. We mostly walked around with my toddler because the water looked deep. I definitely will be coming back for the glass bottom boat tours

Well kept campground. Plenty of water access but no beach. Rentals for tubing, canoeing, and kayaking are available. Water is crystal clear in the swimming area. Playground and restroom facilities are near water as well as in the campground There is also a campstore. Campground also features a tour boat ride on the river. Viewing deck allows for long views of the water and wildlife (birds, gators, fish).
Paul M — Google review
Absolutely beautiful! The park is clean, well-maintained, and has a great playground and campsite. They have rentals for inner tubes, kayaks, and snorkeling gear, with a few food and beverage kiosks. The homestead was also interesting and a cool bit of history! Quick disclaimer though - the water is quite chilly!

Visited Blue Spring 6 nights with our travel trailer. Great little park with electric and water hook ups. All spots have lots of shade. Some are a bit off level so you may need to level your camper a bit. The Spring was fabulous. It can get really crowded so it is nice you can be in the park at all hours. We had family in the cabins and the cabins were nice. Each cabin had a screened porch and full kitchen. There was plenty of room between properties for a little privacy. A couple of trails offer some good walks. Saw plenty of deer and birds.
Deb W — Google review
Very unique experience! We spontaneously decided to drive up here during our stay in Orlando. We enjoyed the boardwalk, got to see manatees and even one gator when we took the 1h boat tour. Our guide Lee was very funny and we learned a bunch about the area and St Johns River. Restrooms were clean and well maintained.
Milena S — Google review
Great state park with lots of wildlife and things to explore and do. On my visit we saw 3 manatee there hard to spot in the river that is black but you can see the movement of the leafs on top of the water getting eaten. Look for there mouths mainly sticking up since hard to spot there entire body in dark water. If you go to the clear water definitely easy to spot but can be limited in numbers due to people swimming. We did see 1 in clear water and 2 on the boat tour.
C B — Google review
Lovely boat ride through the natural spring . We saw alligators, manatees and many birds. Everyone was very nice with there were 2 cafe with good food and a store and trails to walk on.
Madhu F — Google review
This is a beautiful spring with clear water, lot's of fish and an occasional manatee sighting or two. They're beautiful creatures and very curious. You're not aloud to touch them, but this manatee didn't get the memo. Lol! What an awesome experience and video I was able to capture.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful pizza experience, look no further than Angelina's Pizzeria in DeLand, FL. Since 1998, this charming Italian eatery has been dedicated to crafting health-conscious gourmet pizzas that don't compromise on flavor. With a menu featuring both hand-tossed Neapolitan and thick-crust Sicilian styles, there's something for everyone.
This was my first time at Angelina‘s and I had a veggie roll and it was outstanding. The prices are great, and the workers were very friendly. Definitely going back.
Tina B — Google review
This place perfectly exemplifies the old-fashioned Italian pizza restaurant. Fabulous local feeling and vibes! They have pizza by the slice, and they can add toppings. The best part is they have fresh mushrooms. Definitely a great place to grab a slice whenever you're hungry for just a slice or the whole pie.
Scott C — Google review
We absolutely love this place and get them to go just because of how busy it gets but all worth the wait I promise that. I love the entire thing about this place from watching people standing like vultures in the food waiting window and overwhelmed with joy on their faces but remember make sure to pay first so go past the the vultures they don't bite. It keeps me busy people watching that's for sure it's so much going on at 1 time but it is honestly such a beautiful and organized dance

My partner and I decided in the 2 years of living/traveling in Florida that this is our favorite restaurant! We've been talking about making a 3 hour trip just for more zeppoli and cannoli cake (delicious together) 😋 I enjoy watching the chefs in the kitchen, and can tell how much love they put in the food. It gets PACKED so come early for dinner

There was lots of cheese on our pizza and lasagna. If you love cheese, you will like this place. The price is affordable.

Angelina's is sooo wonderful! We got take out this evening, and everything was perfect: my husband's Antipasto was fresh, plentiful, and delicious! My manicotti was perfectly baked with lots of sauce and beautifully, lightly browned cheese on top! Highly recommend! :))
Betsy K — Google review
My favorite Italian restaurant, period. Best spinach I’ve ever had, and the portions here are huge despite the modest pricing. This restaurant deserves so much credit for the great food they consistently serve. It’s not the biggest restaurant but it feels just like home. Everything all the way down to the bread here is rich in taste. Definitely come here if you’re going to any springs or to any beach in Volusia county.
Gabriel B — Google review
We've been here several times and all the employees have been super. The food is always hot and fresh, made in plain view. They do a ton of take out along with in-house customers. We watch the pizza chefs in amazement.

The bike and hiking trails cater to all levels, making it an excellent spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Ferry runs on weekends only. Brought our blue heeler through the wet trail. Manatees were swimming along the banks, headed to the springs to warm up for the night.

We had a great experience as a family with young kids here. The entire park is beautiful and they have amazing bike trails as well as hiking trails for all levels. I would recommend booking a cabin online and staying for a couple of days to enjoy the nature, fishing and everything this beautiful state park has to offer.

Love the island with great little store and rental bicycles kayaks and canoes available Rocking chairs under covered area to rest and enjoy the view. Lots of trails and plenty of great Florida flora and fauna to enjoy. Cabins remodeled and almost ready to enjoy. Friendly staff and rangers readily available for any questions or problems

I loved this little island approximately 40 minutes from Orlando. Free ferry ⛴ over only 6 at a time so you may have to wait. State park run by volunteers so be patient. Once you cross there are great areas to picnic and play and a little store with comfy rockers out front overlooking water. Dog and kid friendly and nice easy walking path through old growth and new growth areas. They also rent kayaks, bikes, and affordable cabins. I was on my way to Blue Springs State Park and they were full, this park is approximately 20 minutes from there and well worth checking out. I have included many pics. If you find this helpful please like.

Despite being a friday it was quite calm and quiet. The trails are well maintained and easy to hike. The recent rains had water up on a trail (which was marked as being a wet trail) at some places however it was still easy and in the lowest spots there were walkways in place. The cabins looked well maintained from the outside and were a easy walk from where you enter the park. As for price to enter, it was the best price, free, although they do accept donations. All in all a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

I purchased a tour boat ride deal on Groupon for my husband's birthday. It was perfect. Rob, the captain was very kind and knowledgeable. The only draw back was the men standing at the front of the boat. They were blocking the front (and most beautiful) view the entire time, until the end when the captain picked up the speed and requested everyone to sit down. It would have also been nice to know that the boat seating would open up 5 minutes before take off. Until then, you're just waiting around the beautiful dock wondering when you'll be able to get on the boat.

Latin American restaurant
Rincon del Sabor is an amazing Latin Caribbean restaurant that offers delicious food and a great value. The food is homemade and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is close to home, which makes it convenient for customers to buy and take food with them. The white rice, red beans, grilled chicken and yuca are some of the customer favorites!
The employees behind the counter always greet you. They are attentive to what is ordered. The food is good. Tonight I had a Cuban Sandwich and Sweet Plantains.

Amazing lunch special. Always fresh, fast and delicious. Probably the best Puerto Rican food spot in the area
Timothy T — Google review
The food quality/taste is poor 😒 I bet I would've been happier with Wendy's. Bummer. The mofongo is bad enough to throw away. Not worth eating. The sandwich is dry as f and missing relish n mustard. 😒 Not eating at all is preferable to getting a bad meal. This was made so lazily and not by someone who has the right intentions. Low standards.
Andres F — Google review
Food was really good. Staff was rude and acted like it was a bother if you asked for anything. I asked for some extra napkins and the girl pointed to the wall and said "In there".... Also the music is so loud you can't hear the person you're with talking to you. Another table asked them to turn down the music and they did after about 5 minutes and then it was still too loud. Like I said, the food is decent but the rest needs a lot of improvement.
Julie B — Google review
I wasn't particularly impressed with Rincon. After reading reviews from only a few weeks ago, it seems that the price for a meat dish and two sides has already gone up to over $12. This was my first visit and I found that the steak was overcooked and chewy, and the shredded pork was dry and flavorless. Positive: It seems that this business is responsive to feedback, as their portions have visibly increased.
Ellie M — Google review
Avoid getting takeout or delivery from here! I ordered oxtail stew with platanos and arroz con gandules as “sides”… turns out my takeout container was 75% full of sides and had maybe 2 oxtail pieces in it? The oxtail was dry, there was hardly any “stew” to it and had not been cooked long enough for that “fall off the bone” experience you want with oxtail. I ended up throwing it out. Maybe their servings and service are a better value when dining in, but beware.

Shady Oak Restaurant is a relaxed waterfront establishment offering American cuisine, including seafood dishes. Five star bar food! Excellent tuna salad, burgers, cold drinks and friendly prompt service! The setting is unchanged in the 50 years I've been going there. A return after some time away was great and bitter sweet. Remembering Otis and Myrtle and many others was nostalgic and sweet but the food and service was here, now and top notch! Thanks for respecting the history!

First time we went after reopening was great. Gator tail was awesome, crab cake platter was great along with the crab cake sandwich! We got our food fairly quickly quick was nice. Not very many people dining in so it was expected. The atmosphere is great if you’re into that sort of thing. We decided to go back again a week later and everything was awful. The service was lack luster, we waited almost an hour to get gator tail which was over cooked and gross, the waiters had giving us a warning about the overcooked gator and asked if we wanted them to remake it but after waiting for some time already we just suffered through it. We thought it was a fluke so we tried again a week later and the gator tail was perfect other then the size which was significantly smaller the the other times which was disappointing. Anyways, place has potential if they can get it together! Trying again because we love the atmosphere and dining outside right next to the river is appealing to me and my family! Staff very friendly! Bathroom needs a good cleaning, the dock outside could use some fresh decking but otherwise we love shady oak!

The food was great! But the waitress seemed like she had an attitude or that we were inconvience for her. Then I'm guessing was the boss was in the kitchen yelling about one of his employees and how he would fire her. Very unprofessional.

Buffet restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in the historic Holiday House Restaurant building, Cook's Buffet Cafe Bakery has been a staple in DeLand since 1983. Originally established by Bob and Willa Cook in 1959, this family-owned eatery is now operated by their second-generation successors, Michael and Star. The restaurant prides itself on serving up homestyle American buffet fare with a focus on hearty comfort food.
My friend and I came here on a Sunday for an early dinner (roughly 4pm). The parking lot was full which was a good sign as we’d never been here before. The restaurant itself used to be a house which only added to the charm of the place. We were quickly greeted and seated with our server, Debbie. She asked if we had been there before and we both said we hadn’t. She explained how it works which was simple- you get one meat, unlimited hot side bar (veggies) and salad bar. That was around $15 per person. Or for $20 you get all the above, plus a drink and a dessert. We decided to go big or go home. I’m not a vegetable fan so I skipped the salad bar. My friend liked it fine. For meats I chose the well done roast beef and he went with the ham. The hot side bar was underwhelming. More vegetables. I was hoping for pasta or possibly rice. The food was amazing and the meat was served in fair portions. Everything tasted homemade. Didn’t even feel like we were at a restaurant- it was like being at grandmas house. Along with bringing your drinks, the server brings the garlic bread which was amazing. They also bring the desserts. Too many to choose from. They make everything in house and with 20 different desserts, it wasn’t easy to pick just one. I went with the brownie and my friend ordered a strawberry parfait. I don’t have the biggest sweet tooth and I almost ate the whole massive brownie!!! We left full and satisfied. This place is a rare find in a world where chain restaurants reign supreme. We drove 45 minutes to eat here and we both will be back.

Small town feel. Love the old fashioned style decor. Small , quaint and charming restaurant. This was my second time dining here. Great place to get away from the over the top new style restaurants. No loud music. No flashy over the top high price drinks . The food is served to you cafeteria style. Fresh Country style food and restaurant. The desserts are second to none!!!!! A must have if your sweet tooth is large. I would recommend this place. Older crowds simply love this hidden gem. The younger crowd should take time and visit Cook's.

Our waitress Debbie and the guy at the carving station was great. The other employees not do much. When we came no one greeted us even the hostess and the waitress who were at the host stand. They too worried about the waitress paying her lunch bill. We had never been here before so I asked do we wait to be seated? The waitress seem annoyed and she will help you when she is done. No welcome or I will be with in a moment, no greeting. But our waitress made up for it. Most of the staff walked around with grumpy or annoyed expression. One waitress was giving mean looks to everyone. Our food was good. The ingredients seemed fresh. Overall it was a good dining experience.

We have to drive from daytona to enjoy the food at cooks. It's worth the time and gas to dine at this restaurant!! The atmosphere is like going to Disney, all the windows are hand painted by a local artist. Different for every season and holiday. They even have decorated trees through out the restaurant for all the Different holidays. Even a birthday tree to have pictures taken with. The place is beautiful!!! NOW for the food. All is fresh vegetables and a wonderful salad bar is included with every meal. The service is always good. But we ask for Jessica if she is available, she is very popular. She makes your dinner even better if that's possible. The owner and manager Mike is the best!!! If you go to Deland ,fla. Made sure you dine for lunch or dinner at Cooks buffet. You will be back again and again. OH DID I FORGET TO SAY THE PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE!!!!

This place was so cool . Visited after a day at the springs we had a party of 8 with little kids. I recommend the full butlffet . And let the kids split a dessert.
Jenna W — Google review
My first time here and the biggest impression is this buffet is not quite like most. The most disappointing thing is the 1 meat entree and surcharge for extra. However, the quality of the food was better than expected. It lacks a bit of variety for me but they have perfected what they have. The ambiance felt like dining in the garden but without the bugs and humidity. I loved it. Our server, Christine' was also amazing and so sweet. Her recommendations were so good on our desserts. That espresso cake with actual coffee beans in it was so good. Definitely worth a visit.

Nestled in Deland, Florida, Freedom Playground is a vibrant community treasure that embodies the spirit of play and creativity. This unique playground features an array of imaginative wooden structures including climbing frames, a pirate ship, and even a spinning tower. Designed by Robert Leathers with the help of the Deland Rotary Club and local organizations, it offers shaded areas under majestic oak trees along with four picnic pavilions—ideal for family gatherings or birthday celebrations.
This is the best free playground that we have ever been to. It has a zip line, multiple slides, seesaws, climbing walls, towers and so much more. There is even a special section for toddlers and a swing for handicapped children. The entire playground is covered by a soft robbery material that would help cushion a fall if someone tripped. There are clean bathrooms nearby as well as water fountains. For parents, there are benches everywhere though out the area. This is a wonderful asset to this community!

Great park in DeLand. We sometimes visit downtown and my son absolutely loves this park. Lots of slides and swings along with a huge playhouse with all the jungle gym activities. It's quite impressive
Chris B — Google review
Wonderful park overall, especially for young children. The grounds are cushioned, alleviating most concerns with falling, especially those with young children learning how to walk/run still. My only real complaint is that more shade would be nice, especially with some of the hottest summers Florida has had on record in the last few years, and given the fact that a few of the slides and much of the play equipment is metal - not the best feature on a Florida playground. Other than that, this is a very entertaining park with lots to do and nice covered pavilions if you want to do snack/lunch time before or after playtime.
Michelle N — Google review
A nice clean playground with a castle for kids to climb on. Swings, slide, and a closed-in place for your kids to play. There are plenty of benches for parents to sit down on to watch their kids play. The area park was clean and safe with plenty of parental supervision. A nice place to let the kids unwind after you pick them up after school.

One of the best playgrounds in this area. Worth the 30 min drive from my house. Very well kept, lots of equipment to play on for kids of all ages/sizes... and big enough for adults to go on the equipment to play with their children without being cramped. Dedicated area for little ones also. Entire play area is gated with only 1 entrance in/out, lots of seating throughout & shade also... very well thought out layout.

The Athens Theatre, located in Deland, Florida, is a well-preserved historic venue that dates back to 1921. Designed by architect Murray S. King in the Italian Renaissance style, it was named after the city's founder's vision of making Deland the 'Athens of Florida.' Over the years, it has hosted various performances including vaudeville shows and film screenings.
One of my favorite places for concerts. The sound is great, the prices are fair, there is free parking, and wine and drinks are affordable (unlike another theater we go to in Central Florida). Also it is very close to stores and bars and restaurants so if you go early you can walk around this nice little town for enjoyment. We have gone there for several concerts and one of them that we like a lot is the Liverpool Legends who are a great Beatles tribute band that don't miss a note while truly paying tribute to the Beatles. This venue is highly recommended!

We had a great experience watching Grease at this theater. It was the first musical that have ever seen and it was a blast. The theater looks great inside and is taken care of very nicely with a nice old time feeling to it, but in the best way possible. The crew that works there is also extremely polite and helpful. If you get the chance to go to an event here, I'd highly recommend it.

Truly a gem of the past, preserved for the present and hopefully a long future. It's a beautiful place to see a concert as my wife and I just did. Really great experience. Will be returning for upcoming shows for sure.

Even though I didn’t know anyone, everyone felt like family. Extremely nice staff, very kind people. The theater is really cute and well kept. The audio was impressive. Went to see Dracula - great and passionate actors. I just wish it wasn’t too long. I will be back! Thank you for keeping arts real and alive in this virtual world

What a great performance, 2 things that really make this band Absolutely amazing, 1, going off other bands during performance, 2 the meet and greet after the show. Took my 19 year old son with me and we had a blast. What's really cool that we meet the stage hands also!!! Just a truly unique opportunity for us and anyone else!!!!!

Our first time at the Athens Theater and we were so pleased with this historic gem! I was so impressed with the venue and the friendly people that work there. The Fleetwood Mac Experience was out of this world amazing! Super talented musicians who know how to connect with the audience. What an extremely enjoyable evening listening to a wonderful group of musicians. My hubby and I had a blast! Will definitely be back for sure!

My family has been season ticket holders for several years now. We look forward to every show. We plan our calendar around their season! This is a must do for DeLand. The building is amazing and the historic preservation is stunning. The people who run this have a legit passion for this. If you can get a ticket please do to any show here. You won’t regret it.

Nestled in the heart of downtown DeLand, Urban Brick is a charming eatery that specializes in artisanal pizzas and contemporary Italian cuisine. With its inviting brick accents and cozy atmosphere, this delightful spot offers both indoor dining and a lovely outdoor patio for those who prefer to enjoy their meals al fresco. The menu features an array of all-natural pizza options made with top-notch imported ingredients like San Marzano tomatoes, premium cheeses, and authentic Italian meats.
After swimming in the springs and strolling through the charming downtown, we decided to stop by here, glad to find it open on a Monday evening. The interior was cozy, with an open kitchen that added to the welcoming atmosphere. We ordered a margarita pizza and truffle fries, and everything was delicious and fresh.

An Amazing Experience at This Italian Restaurant! Today, on Valentine’s Day, we decided to celebrate at this charming Italian restaurant, and it was the perfect choice. We tried several pizzas, and each one was absolutely delicious: the Sweet and Salty Pizza with its perfectly balanced flavors, the Bacon Gouda and Spinach with a rich, smoky touch, and the classic pepperoni, which never disappoints. We also had a Caesar salad, which was fresh and delicious, with just the right amount of dressing. We paired our meal with a spectacular sangria, fresh and well-balanced. On top of that, the service was impeccable—our waitress, Amber, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even more special. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic, perfect for an occasion like today. Without a doubt, we will be coming back. Highly recommended!

My friend and I came here for dinner and had a really good meal. We both ordered pizzas and shared the Blue Chips. The food was great and the service exceptional. I really have no complaints. I’ve also ordered from Urban Brick through DoorDash and had a great experience then as well. Keep up the great work!

Cute spot right downtown. Food and wine was delicious- the truffle fries were excellent. My salmon pesto pasta dish was underseasoned. The night seemed quite busy when we went so service was very slow, like we were forgotten about. They did comp a dessert for us which was nice of them to do.

The food here was spectacular. This is the best Italian restaurant in DeLand. Everyone ordered different dishes and it all tasted amazing. The waitress was very nice and she even went as far to tell us the ingredients. The seating is a little tight because the restaurant is quaint. If you’re just passing by DeLand or are here for vacation, this is a must. You’re missing out if you don’t eat at Urban Brick!!

Overall great experience. Started off with meatball appetizer and were definitely homemade and very tasty. Then we ordered pizza. I had the Diavola while it was good, it wasn't a true Diavola as they traditionally have a spicy pepperoni or salami or both and the pepperoni on this one seemed to be just regular. Wife had Sweet and Salty which is is a combo of figs, prosciutto and roasted garlic. I had a piece, not my cup of tea but she enjoyed it. Service was very good as well we were checked on often. Overall a great place to try.

Loved our visit to Boston Coffeehouse! The atmosphere was super cozy and welcoming, just the kind of place you want to hang out in for a while. We tried the Country Chicken Salad Croissant and the Turkey Twist, and both were so tasty and fresh. The service was also l friendly and fast without feeling rushed. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

What worked well: 1) Hard working staff 2) Pleasant ambiance 3) Parking was easy What could be better: 1) A cappuccino that is less like a latte with more coffee flavor, less milk, would be great. A coffee house should at least have more flavourful and better tasting coffee than Starbucks. 2) Tend to agree with other reviewers, prices/portion sizes could be better. 3) Overwhelmed and slow service. What else: Their payment system crashed in the middle of serving us. So had to pay cash. Luckily I had enough cash in hand. It's been a long time since I used cash. I assume this is beyond their control.

Our reviews had over 52 million in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Boston Coffeehouse. Went there a few times before going to shows at the Athens Theater. Great food and great staff. We love the expresso drinks made to order but the real star of the show are the desserts. Love the chocolate earthquake cake (must LOVE chocolate) anything pumpkin is awesome. My fave was the coconut cake. All desserts are made daily and serve one. Cookies, cinnamon buns, are awesome too. Cannoli's and Neapolitan are must haves as well. Fun place, easy parking and table service make this a great go to spot anytime. Great pancakes and egg sandwiches and all kinds of lunch and breakfast goodies as well. Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. I’ve been coming to this location for YEARS now, and every single time, it’s as amazing as the first. First off the atmosphere is just freaking awesome! It feels like you stepped right into a history book of colonial America, maybe a grab a cup with the founder fathers! But seriously I adore the decor and design of this place. Next let’s move onto the food, arguably their strongest here, but the food is incredible. I have had some of the best and unique sandwiches in my whole life here! And don’t forget to get that French onion soup! Last but not least, the namesake of this restaurant, the coffee. The coffee is just straight solid cup of that caffeine we all need. Love the coffee and a bunch of cool flavors. I really like how you can get any flavor of coffee in any style too! Super unique and cool experience, please do yourself a favor, and check this place out!

What a perfect little spot. Recently stopped on a Sunday morning after doing a quick Google search for local coffee shops. I hit the jackpot. The inside was a perfect New England style coffee shop. I frequent the area due to work and will definitely be back. We didn't have much time so we grabbed coffee and two breakfast sandwiches. Next time I'll be dining in.

What a cute little cafe! A taste of Boston right here in DeLand. Chairs are comfortable, staff is supper friendly, & the pastries are as amazing as they look. I haven't tried the breakfast yet, that will be a future endeavor, but the Raspberry Cheesecake & the Smilin Irish Eyes... a definite must try. So if you can't get up to Boston to try some of the New England fair, get yourself to DeLand & checkout what they got - you won't be disappointed!

Very dissapointed. They took too long to give us jus oatmeal and a bagle to go. I felt rushed once we walked in, they asked us right away if we were eating in or out. Every establishment I have been related to food, has always asked if we need some time to look at the menu or what not and then to let them know once you are ready. Plus I worked in the food industry before, so this location lacks customer service adequate. As well food establishments let you know once your order is ready to go. This location, they just placed the food on the coffee counter and walked away. And this location wasn't even busy. I have been to the Altamonte Springs location plenty of times. Which is always busy, yet they have never taken so long with a simple order. To top it off, the oatmeal wasn't even oatmeal consistency. It had pudding consistency instead. Then, the bagel tasted like it has been in the fridge for a while.

DO NOT GO SHOP IN THIS LOCATION! Had a horrible experience, the manager Harrased me out of the fitting room. I only was trying 5 pairs of pants but she didn't even care to check before yelling at me. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I read some negative reviews, but wanted to try it anyways. I’m so glad that we did. The service was fantastic, and our waitress was also the bartender and also very pregnant. She was so sweet and made our drinks perfectly. She was very attentive as well. I love what they did with the old place. Does not look dirty, it’s just an old building. We ordered the Henry Deland and it was amazing! The fries were like steak fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.
Ashley N — Google review
First impression was old and dirty. Needs a major clean. It has promise with large windows and twinkle lighting but when your shoes stick to the floor it gives a bad feel. Went to the women's bathroom and just awful, commode filthy, sink area gross. The worst was when an employee walked out without washing her hands. This place is also very loud so do not plan on having a conversation without yelling. This was lunch time on Sunday and just the two of us. Also when I stepped out of the bathroom there were five tubs of dirty dishes down a hallway. Unbelievable. Now for the food. We ordered the fried Chicken which comes with pepper jelly with mac and cheese. Chicken way over fried on the outside but inside was good. Pepper Jelly mostly vinegar. Mac and cheese was fair. We got the French toast souffle which was more like bread pudding. We got the sweet potatoes as a side and they were plain. The very best thing we had was the goat cheese grits. They were outstanding. Everything else was disappointing. Jonathan took our order and we never saw him again until we had empty plates, water glasses and were needing to our pay our check. We had such high hopes for this place. Do not waste your money here!!!

Everyone was super nice and friendly! Loved the option of bottomless brunch! Never experienced something like that! Classy atmosphere! The omelet station is incredible! And the guy working behind there was super friendly and a great chef! The French toast was a bit too soggy and didn't come with blueberries as I saw on the menu. The table tater tots were delicious!! Loved the sauce on them! The bacon had great flavor, but were a little too leathery for me. The smoked salmon was my least favorite, and I love smoked salmon. Was sour and soggy. Fresh orange juice, and I enjoyed the pineapple cranberry juice. Overall, it was a nice experience and decent price.

Love the vibe in this establishment, I wish the food was better. I think this would be more of drinks and appetizers for me. I ordered the filet mignon, the temperature of the steak was great, but flavor was not. Mash potatoes tasted old and the green beans tasted like can. Service was decent. Server was training and seemed overwhelmed. I ordered the blueberry peach tea, that was good.

Friendly folks, good cocktails and good food. They don’t have ribeye anymore but the 12oz NY strip is decent. My steak knife was terrible and they immediately threw it away. Cheers!!
Hoss H — Google review
I remember coming here for bottomless brunch a few times a few years ago, and I enjoyed it every time, but apparently those halcyon days are behind us, because the meal I had tonight was pedestrian and disappointing. I ordered the $30 tenderloin tips & risotto w/ green beans, and no joke, the green beans were the most expertly prepared component. My tenderloin tips weren’t tender, had literally zero seasoning, and had no color/sear/crust of any kind. The risotto was gloopy instead of creamy, and the rice was severely undercooked (it still had a crunch to it). And as an added bonus of mediocrity, just look at the plating of my meal, there are several grease/sauce streaks/spots staining the rim of my plate. It would have been so easy for the chef to simply wipe those off prior to serving to improve the aesthetic of my plate. My friend ordered the short rib & risotto, and he told me the short rib was the toughest & driest he’s ever had, and his risotto was the same as mine…bad. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because our server was friendly and our food was served in a timely manner. If the service had been worse/slower, this would have been a 1 star meal.

Elise was a very good server! We enjoyed our food. The filet, brussels sprouts, shrimp and grits and peanut butter pie and salted Carmel cheese cake were delicious!!!! The cheese curds and coconut shrimp were very good too.

Cress Restaurant in DeLand is a renowned dining destination that skillfully transforms local, seasonal ingredients into inventive international dishes. Helmed by Chef Hari Pulapaka and his wife, Cress marries artisanal sophistication with the city's historic charm, creating a memorable and ever-changing menu.
The food was good. Interesting and unique dishes. Excellent service with solid wine recommendations. Owner was very pleasant and kept all running smoothly.

I recently dined at Cress for lunch, a first for me despite several enjoyable dinners in the past. My partner and I brought our dog and bunny along after a vet appointment, so we opted for the patio seating, which was lovely. We started with a fresh salad that I thoroughly enjoyed, followed by the cauliflower steak and a side of potatoes gratin. Overall, the flavors were delightful! However, I felt that the cauliflower steak could have used a bit more cooking and seasoning, as it needed just a touch of salt. The standout of the visit was the staff; they were incredibly attentive and seemed excited to share that they are now open for lunch. It made for a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely return to Cress and look forward to exploring more of their lunch offerings!
Dr. B — Google review
The service was wonderful - everything was immaculate & clean - The food had incredible taste - As you approach the establishment it portrays itself as a more exclusive restuarant in an area with the average guy establishments. The prices would definitely suggest and confirm that. I would say the only thing was the pricing was on the slightly steep side even though lamb fell off the bone. Definitely an anniversary or date night out location.
Gregory R — Google review
Nothing to write home about. My Harissa Grilled Cauliflower "Steak" was a head of cauliflower immersed in sauce. Lovely presentation nonetheless. My partner wasn't too keen on his actual steak. Our hummus trio was something I could have put together from Publix. But the layered cheesecake was delicious; as with most desserts, you can't really go wrong. I regret we didn't spend our special occasion and overpriced bill elsewhere. Despite that, thank you for serving us.
Briasier — Google review
After reading the reviews, we were anxious to try Cress restaurant. My husband ordered scallops while our friend ordered the lamb. Both thought their meal was very satisfactory. I ordered the red snapper dinner and found it to be dry. I had to squeeze lemon on it and ask for sauce to make it more palatable. Even the key lime pie wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. The highlight of the restaurant was our server who was very efficient. We all liked how she explained the food we ordered. Unfortunately, for us, the restaurant didn’t hit the mark especially for our $200 bill.
Kimberly K — Google review
Went for our anniversary. 5:30 pm Friday. Not busy at all. Ate inside and it was a nice atmosphere. Had escargo for appetizer which was very good. Husband had lamb shank and I had the scallops and we shared the Brussels sprouts. It was ok. It wasn’t bad. Scallops needed lemon or spice of some sort. I do believe it’s overpriced for the amount you get. And it’s overrated. I was really looking forward to 5 stars but I just couldn’t do it. But it was a nice restaurant. Small menu. Probably won’t go back I’m sorry to say.

We drove from ORL to eat at Cress on a Thursday evening. The food was amazing, we ordered the escargot and cheese plate as appetizers. The lamb shank with couscous was fall off the bone delicious. The fish of the day (Snapper) was cooked to perfection . The service was on point , and the owner visiting our table for casual conversation sealed the night ! This restaurant is a 10 + .

Everything was excellent. Loved the mushroom appetizer. Wife was a huge fan of that blueberry salad. Entrees were good portions and very flavorful. My steak was perfectly cooked. Sandwich shop
Subway is a popular fast-casual chain known for its customizable sandwiches and salads. They offer various healthy options for health-conscious customers. However, there was an incident where an online order was mistakenly placed at the wrong Subway location, causing frustration for the customer who couldn't go back to retrieve their already-made sub. Luckily, the employee at that store went above and beyond to make a new sub since it had already been paid for on the app.
Let's place pay's attention to detail and the people that work. There are awesome the manager that runs the places on top of it. And it's probably one of the better subways i've ever been to.
John Y — Google review
So I haven't been to Subway in over 2 years because of the high price for low quality, someone was telling me that they got better so I thought I'd give them another try. Got two foot longs, still low quality the bread was stale crumbling apart it seemed like it was from yesterday, I literally choked my dinner down and then laughed told my wife two years wasn't long enough, she at half and threw the other half away.
Brandon H — Google review
So I walk in no other customers there and the person working says well it’s going to be a 15-20 min wait cause they have online orders I literally had 3 simple subs that I wanted toasted meatball subs with provolone nothing special she didn’t even bother to ask what I was going to order.. just rude you never push away walk in customers like she did! She was rude about it and then says have a good day sarcastic like wow!!! So very professional I suggest you look into better employees or managers I was in the food industry myself so the worst thing you can do is push away paying customers on line orders can wait that’s y they order on line they aren’t rushing it… I’ve never ever had any kind of issue at a subway until this experience I’m just mine blown about it!
Mark D — Google review
The worst BLT I have ever had in my 80 years. The bun was stale and tough. Bacon (5 slices) were tasteless. Service was excellent.

The bread is always crumbly and stale, they were out of lettuce last time we went and it was early dinner time. Save your time and go up to the north DeLand location which is amazing. It's a night and day difference in locations.
Melissa P — Google review
Two people were there, the woman was nice, but the guy she was working with threw the food, took excessively long to make the sandwich, waited very long to take my order and toast the sandwich. I don’t mind waiting but he was purposely being rude, and it seemed he didn’t know what he was doing. The service was awful.
Evie S — Google review
Was out of stuff which is fine but what isn’t excusable is the employee making out with her boyfriend over the counter while we waited to order 😂. Get it together.
Momentous M — Google review
very disappointed in my visit on 7/12/24 my sister and I got to the store around 9:14 stood in line for about 10 minutes to then be told she would not be making any more sandwiches. I completely understand needing to close early to be able to clean but that should have been stated when we first walked in not after we have been waiting there patiently. On the door it states they close at 10 pm and there was still 36 minutes left until closing time. I would have just liked the courtesy of knowing before standing there for awhile.

This place was recommended to us by some local artists and we were SO glad we took their advice. (Always take the locals advice on food places.) Incredible pizza and lovely people. Our server, Q, was awesome and gave great recommendations! 10/10 would go back next time I'm in DeLand

We have been dining at Tony's for over a decade. We love their pizza and wings, along with their entrees, particularly their eggplant rollatini. They have great lunch specials, as well. Their meals are a good value for the price and portion. Everything we have eaten over the years has been fabulous. The atmosphere is not fancy, but it does not need to be; it is appropriate and always clean and maintained. The service is friendly and attentive.

Food is fast and fresh with friendly service. All in all this is a good stop in DeLand and is pretty consistent. I’m a fan of the calzone which is made to order and has a good ratio of toppings. To each their own, this pizza is a good mid ground. Not as thin as many people like and a bit soft on the crust. Not too much sauce but not dry. With that said I feel like it goes over well with the kids and is a good option if you have different tastes in the family.

Beautiful park…. Hands down. You have everything as far as basketball courts to the dog park. And trails lead all around the park full of life!!! The people, the animals…. it’s the full nature vibe. There are public restrooms, and room for plenty recreational activities.

Beautiful, large park with a large pond and lots of walkways, outdoor gym equipment, a small skate park and tons of friendly birds! Great place for a walk or to sit and relax! Very clean and safe.

This is just a great park to relax. Lots of parking and we'll lit. The ducks are tame and really a fun place to be at.

I love how the park puts on so many great events for the community to enjoy. I’m a local food vendor we love supporting the park during these time and really appreciate everyone’s hard work with keeping everything so clean. Blessings

Spacious and clean dog park, playground is nice outside of a few things that could be fixed or updated, lots of ducks and little walking paths, fountains are pretty, and there is even a basketball court and skatepark. Bathrooms are not clean unless you go inside the community center. The community center is clean and has a changing table in the bathroom, but is only open to the public Monday thru Friday. Homeless people sometimes hang around the picnic benches, but they aren't there all day usually.

Love the nature, the walkway that circles a huge lake adorned with a founain ducks swans paddling in and out the lake. Kids are playing in more basketball hoops than courts to play. There are restrooms. I spent a whole day on a picnic and enjoyed it. I don't get excited on parks ,but there is something special at Earl Brown park.

a huge park in the DeLand area- lots of walking space, two dog parks, a good-sized playground, a basketball court, a skate park, a large stage, great public bathrooms, a covered patio with picnic tables, and lots of benches to enjoy all the ducks and birds around the water. the park is also near the local baseball stadium and just outside of Downtown DeLand so it’s super convenient!

The store was very well stocked today, and had a great variety of home decor, beauty, and clothing. Sometimes it is a hit or miss and they might have absolutely nothing. I feel the prices have gone up a bit but that is with everything right now. The store was clean and well organized. My cashier was very friendly upon check out.

T.J.Maxx is the best. They have great gourmet food. Lots of Halloween decor that was so cute I wanted to buy it all. The service tho, at the checkouts, was so slow. 1 cashier open with a guy for roughly 20 minutes arguing over a receipt. After the line grew to about 12 customers, 2 more checkouts opened. Just very very slow. But when I was walking around with my hands full, a very nice worker went and got me a cart! She said it looked like I needed one! I will be back but the cashiers need to speed it up.

Disappointed in their shoe selection. I did buy some knock-off baccarat 540 (it smells nice) for 20 bucks... Although I didn't like how the lady brought up to the desk as if I was going to steal it, I'm sure it's just their protocol, but I didn't care for it.

The Stetson Mansion, built in 1886 by hat maker John B. Stetson, is a beautifully restored estate that offers guided tours to visitors. This architectural masterpiece boasts intricate parquet floor patterns and antique window glass, making it a luxurious example of 19th-century architecture. The mansion has a rich history of entertaining prestigious guests such as King Edward VII and Thomas Edison.
I had a sort of "drive-thru" visit to Stetson Mansion. With only a few minutes to stop off for a quick look around outside, I walked around to see everything possible and took photos like crazy. The vintage Christmas decor everywhere was gorgeous and made seeing the Mansion at Christmastime a marvelous experience!! I'm looking forward to one day going back when I have time to take the tour. This place was just beautiful!!
K Z — Google review
Stetson Mansion is a tastefully restored 1886 home once occupied by the Stetson family. Several different families have lived in the home and one still does. We actually saw some of their living quarters while on our tour of three floors, and the school house. Photos are only allowed outside and in the school house to protect the family's privacy. The home still has original wood floors, woodwork, staircase, and leaded glass windows, as well as some lighting and cedar siding. The original electric was worked on by Thomas Edison who also gifted the family lighting fixtures still in use. The home sits on over 2 of the original 300 acres.
Carol J — Google review
Our Glass Guild toured the Stetson Mansion on a Saturday morning and we all felt it was “off the charts “ enjoyable, educational and enchanting! Kayla, the owner greeted us warmly and pleasantly checked in our 18 members. Then Alix, our energetic tour guide took group photos for us in front of the mansion before starting our enlightening tour of the 3 story 1886 Mansion. Alix was fascinating, weaving storytelling about the famous Hat maker, John Stetson and his family, and his connections to Thomas Edison, who personally wired this home for him. Alix was extremely knowledgeable about the architectural details of the woodwork, from the gleaming parquet flooring with unique patterns to intricate crown molding and staircases. We were impressed with all the leaded glass windows throughout each room! She kept us spellbound with the knowledge of this home and all the connections to Deland… We as a group highly recommend this historic tour!! Don’t miss it.

Alix was an incredible tour guide! John B. Stetson built this beautiful mansion in DeLand Florida as his winter getaway away. We enjoyed the home decorated for Christmas and it was stunning!

Did the Xmas tour. Will be going back once the decorations are down.Well worth the price in my opinion. Really has personality. True Mansion. The only thing missing was Ted Cassidy who went to Stetson University. He played Lurch in the Adam's Family. You Rang ! Our tour guide was a young lady who was new and did a Superb job and was very knowledgeable. Wish I could remember her name. It was an unusual name, well done young lady.

We enjoyed the Christmas decor tour at the Stetson Mansion in DeLand, Florida today. Alix was a great tour guide and while the holiday decor is indeed something to see, the real star of the show is the house itself. It’s incredibly well preserved and absolutely breathtaking. We’re hoping to return for the historical tour (sans holiday sparkle) sometime next year.

Bill Dreggors Park in DeLand is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and families alike. Named after William J. Bill Dreggors, this park offers a range of attractions, including a butterfly garden managed by the DeLand Garden Club, an extensive playground for kids, and exhibits on local history housed in a restored hospital from the 1920s. The park also features picnic pavilions available for rent and a well-paved loop trail suitable for joggers and walkers.
Nice little park. Large playground and a decent size picnic pavilion. There's a nice walking path and a nice butterfly 🦋 garden area with a fountain.
Jason G — Google review
this is a little hidden gem in DeLand! the Butterfly Sanctuary is quite small and, unfortunately, i didn’t see any butterflies other than the large sculpture. the park itself take up a good bit of space with its large playground, 4 covered pavilions with picnic tables, and many benches. it’s a great place to come to for a little walk, breath of fresh air, or to host a picnic, cookout, gathering, or birthday party. there’s plenty of parking all around, nice public bathrooms, and water fountains. it’s also home of the DeLand Memorial Hospital and Veterans Museum.
Manal A — Google review
This hasaways been my most favorite playground to take my 3 boys to. My 3year old had his party there just last week just like my other 2 boys 6 and 10 years ago and besides upgrading the playground it's still the same. We didn't rent a gazebo but we still had the party under one I would of giving thus place 5 stars but unfortunately the bathrooms (same ones as 10 yrs ago and still only 2 bathrooms when if im not mistsken multiple after school programs there i just love this park and so will your kids)

Hidden jewel, a massive playground in Deland. Bathrooms nearby. So much for children to do. Multiple swings, slides, ways to climb and explore. It's a wonderful fenced in playground with areas for younger and older children. Delightful themes and tree house with metal slides. Only lacks full coverage from the boiling summer heat. Addition of a splash pad and concession stand would bring family friendly joy all year.

It's a nice park for children and adults. There's a Sensory Garden with flowers and butterflies. Small but pretty. A great playground with forts and other options for younger children. Picnic tables, grills and restrooms for the family. There's even a museum on the grounds, but you need to check the hours of operation.
Cynthia S — Google review
My first time here and my kid had a field day. I love the one way in and one way out, the adaptive equipment, and lots of places to climb and explore! The only downer is the inability to always have a line of sight of the kiddos, but the one way in/out helps. My gf and I sat near the entrance so we knew they wouldn't escape. Lots of places for the parents to sit. I would definitely make the 45 minute drive again to visit!

Trilogy Coffee Roasting Co is a charming and modern coffee house that offers a wide variety of coffee and tea. They specialize in small-batch roasting, ensuring the freshness of their beans for a delightful coffee experience. While some visitors found the staff to be just okay, others have been loyal patrons for years, praising the owners' commitment to ethical sourcing and their excellent decaf options.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, this coffee shop is the perfect spot. It has a quiet, serene atmosphere that makes it ideal for unwinding or getting some work done. The vibe is incredibly relaxing, with a cozy interior that invites you to stay awhile. And of course, the coffee is fantastic—rich, flavorful, and expertly brewed. Whether you’re a casual coffee drinker or a true aficionado, you’ll definitely appreciate the quality here. A great place to enjoy a moment of calm with a perfect cup of coffee!

Cute local coffee shop. Service the first time I tried here wasn't phenomenal but the coffee and cheddar scallion scone were delicious so I gave it another try and the staff were so kind and attentive. Glad I gave it another try. Definitely recommend for good coffee, good vibes, and something local.

Really cute coffee shop on a quiet street. There were unique coffee offerings from various regions. There was also options for dairy free milk. There’s a small food menu but both items we got were delicious! You can add an egg to the avocado toast. I felt the avocado could’ve been seasoned a little more as it lacked flavour but the bread was delicious. I subbed out the cheese on the breakfast sandwich for tomatoes and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend coming here for the coffee, food, and vibes.

Ordered the cortado on a rainy Saturday—spot on. Would’ve enjoyed having more crafted options such as specialty drinks, but from what I was able to understand, the menu did not have any. Totally understand the traditional menu but maybe three specialty handcrafted drinks per season to choose from would be really fun. Regardless, I really enjoyed my choice. My sister got an iced coffee and also enjoyed what she ordered. We will be back.
Ross B — Google review
One of the top vanilla lattes I’ve ever had, in the top 5 for sure. They don’t ruin it by adding too much syrup like so many other places. It’s the perfect balance. The guy at the counter was super polite and the service was fast even tho the church crowd was rolling in. No frills- nailed it.
Lindsy G — Google review
Absolutely love this place. The vibe of the café and staff are always perfect. They make my lattes perfect every time. I’ve become a regular. My daughter absolutely love the croissant, cinnamon rolls, and a ton of the other bakery pastries. I love the avocado toast. This place is just absolutely awesome and I’m so grateful for it. I’m a coffee snob and love this place.
Alyssa P — Google review
It’s a nice coffee shop and has good vibes but they are not the place to go if you drink iced items. I ordered an iced latte and I watch the person on bar make the drink and saw them froth the milk. So my ICED drink had HOT milk and the HOT espresso being poured over the ice which just melted the iced and made the drink taste watered down. It looks from the pictures and my experience that this is the common practice there since most drinks have the foam at the top of the iced espresso drink meaning the milk was heated. This place is a good cafe with quality espresso and apparent skill, but if you want an iced espresso drink, at least in my experience, go somewhere else.
Rowan — Google review
I hadn’t been able to drink coffee in over eight years. My palate had changed drastically—I became extremely sensitive to flavors and could suddenly detect every individual note and ingredient. I tried dozens of brands, switched coffee makers, experimented with different waters—nothing helped. Every cup tasted burnt, bitter, and undrinkable. This was also my experience with coffee shops and restaurants. Then I discovered Trilogy. Their coffee is the only one I can truly enjoy. It’s smooth, never bitter, and full of rich, balanced flavor. Their cappuccinos—hot or iced—are incredibly creamy and delicious, easily the best I’ve ever had. When we lived in DeLand, my daughters loved spending time there, sketching, sipping coffee, and meeting up with friends. Even though I’ve since moved away, every visit back begins with a stop at Trilogy.

Great staff today who helped out when a family member needed a feminine pads. I can’t believe how great and human-center the staff was….only down part is not with the staff but with the company who chose to stay open until 9pm. That is so messed up considering that many places close by 1pm. They have no consideration for their staff to be with their family during the holidays. I hope that Management gives the staff today a bonus for them being away from the festivities. Consider that because these folks shouldn’t be putting family time to work some part time job

My husband & I purchased an outdoor set online. When it arrived it was obviously damaged in transit. As a result, we returned it to the Deland location whereby we were credited minus handling fees. How was it that we should pay for handling of $42.59 as stated by the online department? After much dialogue Nicole contacted the Store Manager, Matt who made an exception & redeemed our faith in good business practices & credited us in full. Big Lots is lucky to have Dan, Nicole & Matt on their team! They went the extra mile in a time where the climate of making the customer happy is rare in many industries. Thank you to the team in Deland who used excellent judgment!

Popped in this local neighborhood gem last Saturday for lunch. I had their veggie quiche and side salad. Both were good!. The staff is super friendly, upbeat and the restaurant was very clean. We arrived with only a couple of tables occupied, but that changed quickly. After a few minutes later every table was filled. So happy to see a local business thriving.

I don’t have enough words to describe how incredible the food was. My husband and I had the “Reel Good Burger” and the “The 50/50 burger” and my God… It was perfectly seasoned. You can also tell how good it was because my husband said “I’ve never felt as bad for you as I do now for not eating meat because you are missing out on how good this burger is.” (I’m pescatarian). I- for a split second- contemplated taking a bite.. just to see how good it was. I could tell in his face it was absolutely delicious. However it only gets better when our server recommends a nice dessert and we decide on the Carrot Cake. We brought it home (we live in Orlando) and about 3 hours later decided to try… when I tell you I descended into heaven within the first bite.. I’m not being dramatic! THENNN we take another bite and find out theres a filling. Lord help us. Hands down the best carrot cake I’ver had and girl my grandma’s specialty is a carrot cake 😭. We aren’t from Deland and I’m no food critic but nothing has felt like it’s been made with love until we ate here. Thank you so much to our wonderful server who was such a sweetheart and a delight to talk to and learn more about the area! We will be coming back.🫶🏻

15 Feb 2025 Dinner... The food at Sonny's is always great! Service always with a friendly smile and the restaurant is always clean/tidy and very presentable. The only reason for dropping one star is because our ribs were not hot. We ordered the all you can eat baby back ribs and each round was always only luke warm. Didn't want to send them back so we accepted them, and they were delicious. I'm sure they would have accommodated us if we asked, but something like this shouldn't need to be asked. On the other hand, our server Pam was awesome! Super friendly and accommodating, always with a beautiful smile (see pictures!). Frequently checked back in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. She's the only server I'd ever want 😊👍

7/24/25 Walked in to the bar area and waited for 10 minutes to get a beer finally from the young lady running to go orders, plenty of employees and not really that busy...drank the beer 15-20 minutes employees walked back and fourth never looked at me or asked if I needed anything! Finished the beer the girl that served me the beer eventually came back around and asked if I had been helped. I told her no and was totally pissed off as people came and left. I've been coming here VERY often and Sonny's is now OFF my list. Ill go to Brian's BBQ and they have a nice salad bar! Sonny's BBQ just lost a long term loyal customer....bye! (Sonny's Owner) - No I do not wish to send you an email thats out of view from people spending their hard earned money on the failure of your staff tonight. Ive been going to this DeLand store for a very long time [corner of 17&92] and tonight was a complete failure on this stores employees with exception to the woman that served me the beer, your employees looked at me, saw me and two of them know me from being in there so often yet was overlooked while being looked right at!!! The one fella that knows me because of me being in there so often (and tipping very well) completely just blew me off... Teetering on 6'9" Im kinda hard to overlook. Ive enjoyed my time there but even decent things often come to an end, I'll be going to Bryan's BBQ from now on....love their salad bar!

Pizza restaurant
Anthony's Pizza is a beloved pizza establishment that brings immense joy to its patrons. The level of customer care never fails to impress, and the delectable cuisine consistently satisfies. Notably, their garlic knots stand out as unrivaled in the local area. This restaurant undoubtedly understands the significance of contented spouses leading to overall happiness.
Honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a while. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, the cheese had that nice stretch, and both sides were packed with flavor. You can actually taste how fresh the ingredients are

Today Friday 9/13/24 at 5pm I picked-up an order that included a large hawaiian pizza. However, the entire bottom was burnt and the products on top, meat, fruit and ham was also burnt. I'm attaching 3 pictures of the extremely unacceptable pizza... Additionally, what is going on with our beloved Anthony's Pizza restaurant. Is there new owners? We noticed that the pizza boxes advertise "Pizza By The Sea, Best Pizza On 30A! South Florida

Pizza had NO flavor and was so greasy with some weird gross flavor to it 5$ a slice should taste good Cheese was very poor quality and crust had zero flavor I love good pizza but this ain't it !!

I came here on a Monday night it was quiet when I got here I ordered the mussels and a plain pizza and a couple of beers. As I was waiting for my food I said let me look at the reviews. I was like oh no. Not sure how anyone can say this place is a 3.9 on google. I’ve been in the Deland area for a very long time and had take out here a couple of times and it was good, but this time I must say the staff was extremely friendly and pizza was thin and crispy and mussels were amazing. I highly suggest. Can’t put a price on quality.

We ate at Anthony's last night and there was a group of five. We ordered two pizzas, fettuccine alfredo and a chicken piccata plate along with a salad and a soup and several drinks. Our waitress, Jocelyn was absolutely amazing. She was so friendly and came back often to check on us and see if there was anything we needed. This was the best service I've ever had this restaurant! I hope she is a very valued employee!

This place is a disaster. Staff is very rude. Very young girls working there makes everything feel very uncomfortable. I should’ve known after I seen all the negative Google reviews pizza man made a very sloppy pie. Undercooked was overcharged and disrespected. Will never go here again if they don’t like you, you are going to get overcharged and talked about. This is not a business. This is a joke. God bless. Also, how is a medium pepperoni pie and one slice of a specialty slice $35 please explain to me

Had dinner with a friend at Anthony's and the food was delicious. Our waitress was attentive and anticipated our needs before we asked. I just wish I could get half orders since the portions are huge. Lots of choices on the menu and the black and white cookies are tasty!

Diner
Breakfast restaurant
Philly Diner is a popular spot with friendly service and delicious homemade food. Visitors rave about the amazing Philly sandwich and garlic wings, which take around 15-20 minutes to prepare. The restaurant has a cool vibe dedicated to all things Philly, making it a must-visit for out-of-towners. Whether you're in town for business or pleasure, this diner dive is worth stopping by for a taste of their delectable offerings and great service.
Great place to dine at. Easy accessibility and we'll lit. Plenty of parking Easy menu and meduim priced Lots of food and tasty Lots of seating and TV's everywhere Great music and atmosphere Great service Kid friendly Clean Warning this is a HUGE Philadelphia Eagles homebase.. Extremely highly recommended Inside bar as well

The local is pretty dirty, you can see the walls with the black hand's prints on the white wall and Ketchup. We ordered 3 plates, they needed 40 minutes to serve it (the restaurant weren't full, only 3 tables with a few people). When arrived the food don't had a good presentation or even smell or flavor at all, as you can see, is the flavor, horrible. The staff talked over your conversation, they got a mistake even with the bill. My husband had tummy issues all night after ate here. This is a restaurant that I don't understand how still open and I don't recommend it at all.

If they sell and serve food with mold you can see what else can't you see . When I finally got to talk to the owner after two phone calls his reply was " what do you want me to do, things happen"

Really disappointing service. This is my second time ordering with their breakfast Toasty's Breakfast Burritos and it was horrible. I added extra tots to the 2 burritos I ordered and did not receive extra. I ordered a side of tots and did not receive my side. I tell Uber eats I didn't receive them with an attached photo of my order and for some reason they think I'm lying and won't give me a refund for items not received. Why would I be making such a big deal about a total of $5.99 if I was lying about it... I paid for the items and I expect to receive them or get a refund... Absolutely ridiculous and will NOT be ordering from them again. Horrible service.

The service was super friendly but a little off on seating and paying. If you are going for diner food it is right on point. We'll seasoned and tasty and good value. Overall ok atmosphere could be a little cleaner. Will definitely go again.

ALWAYS a great place for quality food at affordable prices. Best Philly Cheesesteaks in town! Staff couldn’t be nicer!!!

03-11-2021 A nice find. Place was neat and clean. You can tell it's been there a while and could use an update but nothing to hold me from coming back. My waitress was very nice Becky I believe. The place is a cross between a home town dinner and sports bar. A little weird but it works with the TV's all over. I got the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Was great solid 7.4 out of 10. The sweet tea was perfect as well. I will be back to try more of the menu for sure.

Get the biscuit! Great, downhome, regular folks, no junk, breakfast. Cannot emphasize enough, honest food, honest price. They have grits, but I didn't try them cause I know they don't have grits in Philly. Don't worry about the 3 eggs on everything cause they are smaller eggs, and they will look even smaller when they pile on the hash browns! And, get the biscuit.
