Annie's Harbour Restaurant in Twillingate is a must-visit for seafood lovers. The restaurant offers a delightful oceanside dining experience with options to dine in a glass enclosed room or on the outdoor patio, weather permitting. The menu features a wide selection of homemade meals, including Newfoundland classics like cod-au-gratin, moose burgers, and lobster rolls. Visitors can also enjoy live music at the Captains Pub after dinner.
Great food and amazing views. We were originally planning on going for dinner service but ended up going for a late lunch / early dinner. We ordered the Captains Platter, Twilly Cheese steak, Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake, and an Italian Soda. The food was really fresh and tasted great. The staff were friendly and provided good service. The dining room has an amazing view of the water.

Great dining experience with excellent mains. Travelled as a 22 person group tour. Fortunately our pre order made it a quick and efficient service. My Cod fish and honey made fries was perfectly crispy and home made tartad sauce and coleslaw were delicious. My wife's shrimp basket of 4 shrimps w ceasar salad was perfectly done. Menu pricing seems reasonable. A harbour view simply added to the overall lunch experience. The knly exception was the lack of the Split Rock local beer which was unavailable that day!!!??? This restaurant is owned by Split Rock, but doesn't have their own brand available???!! Buf, I would readily recommend Annie's.

We enjoyed breakfast and dinner service at Annie’s a few times recently while in the area. Annie’s serves a nice selection of traditional NL dishes like toutons with molasses, standard fare such as pan-fried cod or chowder, and a few things not available just anywhere like a lovely seafood linguini. Breakfast was particularly delicious, and portions were generous. The setting by the bay is hard to beat and the servers quite friendly and accommodating. Reservations are a good idea.
Julie M — Google review
Nice dining area with waterfront views. The cod loin with pork scorchios was delicious — grilled, not pan-seared. We also loved the Caesar salad and burger. Wi-Fi is available. Overall, a pleasant atmosphere and enjoyable experience. Plenty parkings available outside the restaurant.
Judy H — Google review
Great food. Highly recommend. Just be careful as it gets really busy fast. Appreciate the little pagers they give you so you can spend time outside in the parking lot and a small area nearby so you can enjoy the sun and sea or just sit in the privacy of your car.
Mike S — Google review
The restaurant is very cute on the inside and the views are stunning. The food was great. My dad and I had their egg and fish cake breakfast. The fish cakes were very delicious. My mom really enjoyed her omelette.
Cheryl M — Google review
Great spot, good food. It gets busy at lunch time. We paid and had a discount from the previous boat tour but wasnt applied. It wasn’t that much so we didnt really mind.
Julieanne C — Google review
Calamari was excellent. Fish portion was small but ok. Chowder and home made buns were both better than excellent. Chowder so creamy thick that s spoon won't go through it! Awesome tasty!

The Stage Head Pub is a delightful establishment situated in a charming city that offers an impressive selection of excellent brews. This bar is renowned for its superb assortment of top-notch beers and its warm, welcoming ambiance. The town itself adds to the overall appeal, with its picturesque charm and inviting atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of high-quality beverages at this pub while immersing themselves in the beauty and vibrancy of the surrounding area.
Great place for cool music and excellent beer. Just what was needed after a day looking for icebergs with the wife!
Steven P — Google review
Good food and great beer on tap. Stage Head is no longer with Split Rock brewing co. So the beer selection is less interesting and no more flights of local beer, which was the original reason why we went there.
Renaud L — Google review
Fries were phenomenal. Can't remember what my burger was called but it was a spicy chicken and was perfectly cooked. Good service.
Aaron H — Google review
Food was great, service was friendly and quick ate at the bar. Had the Nachos and split a Burger way too much food but worth it. Only issue was the entertainment whaling away on stage without taking a break he went on and on and wasn't really that good to begin with.
James D — Google review
We came here in late May and really enjoyed the beers; my favourite is probably the Sunday Session. The wings were delicious and while most of the flavours were very good. The flavours with Maple Chili were my favourite; I'd avoid Nar' Day (with Lemon Pepper and Dill) though, as it tasted like eating lemons.
Andy Z — Google review
Food was regular pub food that was served in a timely manner. Staff were friendly but just seemed to be there putting in time. Never checked on us during apps and meal. We also had to go to the bar for the cheque when leaving as they were all there sitting around chatting. OK meal but staff needs some training on how to better serve their customers. Good service by staff equals better tips!
Rob C — Google review
Very happy with our meal here. Wings are some of the best I’ve had anywhere, big, crispy and cooked perfectly. Enjoyed the beer as well, there’s a good selection and something for everyone. Bacon wrapped scallops are great as well.
Nicholas C — Google review
Had a great stop on the split rock patio! Lovely view, good beer, and great food! Had the calamari, a burger, and a daily special (bacon wrapped scallops), along with two flights of beer (tried 8/9 on tap). Service was also great - thanks for a great time!

In 2019, the Unscripted Twillingate Digital Arts Festival entered its fourth year (soon to be fifth). After years of anticipation, Wilma finally had the opportunity to attend. She decided to embark on a week-long journey to Twillingate, Newfoundland. The town's renowned NWI Dinner Theatre is a must-visit for every traveler. The dinner served there is both hearty and delicious, featuring the best cod she's ever tasted.
What absolutely awesome time we had!! The dinner was good. But the entertainment was great. We were singing and laughing. Such a great bunch of people.
Cynthia T — Google review
Went last night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Seated with 2 other groups who were so nice to talk to. Both from nearby and was such a pleasure to talk with them. Food was great. Choice of 4 - cod salmon chicken or lobster (that looked very good). Show was fun and quick paced. Talented musicians and singers. Funny skits in between sets. Very entertaining. Well worth the time
Alexandra M — Google review
Fun, unique experience. I’d say you’re going more for the show and fun than the meal but would highly recommend as a must do when visiting! Great way to dive in and engage with the local community.
Wesley T — Google review
Great value and experience for local culture. Got a nice sized lobster and mussels served simply with butter and a salad, rolls and dessert. Could have been a bit warmer, but they served all 200 people at once, so challenging. Servers included the performers which keeps their costs down. Others got a huge piece of cod or stuffed chicken. Seafood options seemed best. Cash or debit card only and alcohol was cash bar but reasonably priced. Show was more local folk music than theater - music with some skits but gave you some insight into what it is like to grow up in Newfoundland. If you are a small party, expect to be seating with strangers, but that is part of the community experience. The charm is in the local flavor not that everything is done to big city expectations.
Katia J — Google review
The BEST! Hands down!!, ...dinner was fabulous, atmosphere was great, and the show had everyone in the house roaring, singing along, clapping, enjoying it all! If you ever get the opportunity to visit Beautiful Newfoundland and will be in Twillingate, recommend you buy tickets! Very reasonable! Would do it again!
Debbie R — Google review
Do not go if you’re expecting Shakespeare! However, if you want to see a unique, entertaining local Newfoundland variety show, you will definitely have a super fun evening!
Boxfish — Google review
We attended the show tonight and were seated with a lovely couple from Quebec and two lovely ladies from London Ontario. The meals was delicious with the cod so fresh I’d bet it was caught today! The entertainment was first rate with a mix of music and skits A lot of talent on stage and the crowd were enjoying every minute! I’d recommend you attend if you are visiting the area! A great night out at a reasonable cost!

Iceberg Quest Ocean Tours

4.5

Boat tour agency
Iceberg Quest Ocean Tours offers an unforgettable experience in Twillingate Islands, known as the Iceberg Capital of the World. With more than half of all icebergs passing through Newfoundland and Labrador, this is one of the best places to witness these natural wonders. The boat tour takes you up close to massive ice formations while ensuring safety and a great experience. The knowledgeable crew provides ample descriptions of the icebergs, making it an educational journey as well.
Had a wonderful experience with Iceberg Quest ocean tours on the first sailing of the season. All of the staff were excellent; everyone was friendly, helpful, informative, and also full of fun and cheers. Our sailing ended up getting pushed back further in the day but it also lasted a little over 3 hours instead of the scheduled 2. We went out to the furthest and largest iceberg first and then slowly made our way back while going around many others. We also saw different types of birds and a seal bobbing its head shortly above water. This was a great experience that we thoroughly enjoyed and such a unique way to see the area.
Sparkling I — Google review
I went on July 5 and it was an unforgettable experience — we saw both icebergs and whales! Although the tour was advertised as 2 hours, it ended up lasting nearly 4 hours. It was absolutely worth it, especially since it’s near the end of the season. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, and it was a great experience sharing the tour with other travelers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible iceberg tour!
Gaia X — Google review
Nice boat, super friendly staff. The captain let the people on board choose which iceberg to go towards. They clearly want you to enjoy your time with them, and it was fun watching people get screeched in. One of the staff (I think his name was Cody?) he was awesome! They give you plenty of time to take pictures and circle around so you get a good view from each side. Thank you for a great experience.
J M — Google review
What an absolutely amazing time we had. Not only did we see iceburgs. We also saw some humpback whales!!! A big thank you to Captain Barry and the crew. I believe their names are Nicole and Glen. I would definitely recommend this boat company 10/10. Thank you for a great night!!!
Cynthia T — Google review
The staff is super nice, helpful and they engage a lot with the customer. The staff truly make all efforts for you to enjoy your experience on their tours. We saw many icebergs in about 3.5hr tour. They gave us some facts about the icebergs and passed often checking into people to know if we were having fun and everything was ok. They even gave us stickers !
Iliary D — Google review
I’ll cut to the chase: the iceberg we saw on this tour was awe-inspiring and the most majestic scene I’ve ever laid eyes on. That alone is worthy of five stars, but the captain and crew are what set this tour apart - each of them was so dedicated to making this tour a safe, fun, festive, and informative trip of a lifetime. I’ll be dreaming about this tour for a long time!!!
Desiree M — Google review
We had originally hoped to do a whale watching tour out of Twillingate, but given we were there in mid July before the whales were in this area, we decided to do the iceberg tour. We ended up having an amazing experience, seeing a beautiful iceberg right off the coast of Fogo Island. Because the location of the iceberg was a long way from the start of the tour, the tour lasted almost twice as long as was planned. The captain and crew went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent experience seeing the iceberg, despite the much longer distance, they had to travel to get us there. The captain was extremely knowledgable about icebergs, and his commentary really added to our experience. Our two crewmembers were amazing, ensuring throughout the whole journey that we were comfortable and provided with refreshments. The pictures I took were spectacular, and it truly was an amazing experience seeing this iceberg. I would absolutely recommend this tour during the time of year when icebergs are prevalent in this area. It was absolute value for money!! there was also a café at the dock that we left from serving a variety of snack, and light lunches. We had a coffee, which was pretty good.
Pamela M — Google review
Had a great time on a tour today! Took great care of us on the long boat ride out to one of the last icebergs of the season! Crewmates and captain were amazing and especially great with the kids. Thank you Corey - it was an amazing trip!

Nestled in Twillingate, the Crow's Nest Café is a beloved spot offering an array of freshly baked goods, satisfying lunches, and aromatic brewed coffee. The café also doubles as an art gallery with a diverse selection of local artwork and jewelry available for purchase. Visitors can savor their meals while contemplating which unique pieces to take home as souvenirs. Additionally, the café provides a picturesque setting with both indoor and outdoor seating options that offer stunning views.
Take the drive out towards Twillingate Lighthouse from Twillingate and stop at the Crows Nest Cafe it is well worth it! Views from their little outside deck or enclosed deck is perfect and they have more seats than it looks like from outside. Service from the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We had the bowl of chilli and the chicken Panini and both came very quickly and tasted wonderful and both were reasonably priced. Wrapped it all up with a perfectly made Latte and tasty carrot cake. A perfect coffee and lunch stop whist travelling the Newfoundland coast.

We stopped in for a coffee and treat. I tried a chocolate peanut butter square which was excellent. It was flavorful but not too sweet. The coffee was good but I was hoping for a nice dark roast which was not an option. The seating area is small but nicely decorated and included a small patio. The staff were friendly and ready help and answer questions.

Amazing place. Amazing staff and amazing food. Their latte is absolutely delicious and so are their muffins! Highly recommend stopping by this place for some beautiful views and delicious quick meal.

Best coffee I’ve ever had! I had a creme brûlée latte and it was incredible! It was NOT too sweet. Truly incredible. The chili was also very good. The views and service were also fantastic. I have traveled the world and this is one of my favorite coffee shops!

Great little find at Crow Head. Best coffee in Newfie outside St Johns! Excellent partridgeberry scone, lovely views. Even got a recommendation for our next coffee at Gander. Highly recommend

BEST COFFEE OPTION IN TWILLINGATE Dining and coffee options in NL are few and far between. If you have dietary restrictions such as gluten or dairy, your dining options will be limited. Crows nest cafe breaks the norm! Absolutely loved Crow’s Nest Café—a cozy, family atmosphere, welcoming place with breathtaking views that truly capture the spirit of Newfoundland. The coffee was excellent, the baked goods were fresh and delicious, and the staff were warm and friendly. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, relax, and just enjoy the moment.
Sam K — Google review
Great coffee shop with excellent views. The coffee was superb but the real star was the partridgeberry muffin. Get it warmed with a bit of butter. It is as good as a culinary treat gets.
Josh W — Google review
If you end up heading out to Spillers Cove for a hike (which I would definitely recommend!!), then this place really needs to be stopped at as well. The coffee was excellent there was some snacks to die for here. I would definitely come back here again! There's also a bit of a shop in here where you can purchase items to bring home. We ended up with the very cool print of a painting. Mmmmm

Guests rave about the delectable lobster and flavorful soups, making it a delightful choice for both casual diners and those looking to celebrate a special occasion.
We were so delighted by our experience at Pier 39. We are here for lunch and arrived at opening - and we’re seated right away. We were brought menus - which were written by hand! I was delighted to order the roasted red pepper soup - which came with bread and was extraordinary. My husband had the lobster roll - which blew him away. So much quality lobster meat, on a croissant, and a side of Cesar salad. I ordered the Black Forest cake for dessert - which was moist and flavorful. Overall we had delicious food and fair prices, with really efficient service. Would highly recommend!

Very pretty restaurant! Good service as well. The lobster bisque and lobster roll were fantastic! A TON of lobster meat with just the right amount of mayo. Very impressive!!

So longshore man short was on a family vacation looked up this place beforehand and wasn't expecting the family to choose this place based on the limited menu however I was wrong what they do they do well, occasionally they will do special meals off the menu. Anyway if you wanted a true east coast kitchen experience then this is the place where you want to go or make a reservation to during the high tourist season. The owner and staff wanted the experience to be the best experience you could have . The home made bread and croissants were something to write home about. This is literally like sitting at the dinner table and home cooked meals prepared in the dinning room. 5 stars all the way around.

We tried local lobster cooked in two styles- baked with cheese and as a lobster roll. Both were good👍🏼 Like almost everywhere in this region - no wine list and no choice, only the simplest and cheapest house wine. There were two of us in the restaurant, which seemed strange in summer season. The waitress was friendly, and all restaurant employees been waiting patiently for us to finish our dinner☺️
Kate S — Google review
One of the best lobster bisques & lobster rolls I’ve ever had. This restaurant was my favourite in all of Twillingate! I’d definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area. The beverages and wine are a very reasonable price.

CHEF’S KISS! Hands down fantastic food. Lobster roll was excellent and the special seafood chowder was the best I’ve ever had. Be sure to make a reservation so you don’t miss out on the best restaurant in town. Truly wonderful experience!

Stopped in for an early supper. Their special of the day was a lobster dinner as a fresh catch of lobster had just arrived. My wife ordered the special. We first had a delicious bowl of red pepper soup along with fresh brioche buns. Then came the lobster, partially broken apart. Then a small piece of cheese cake. We were a little disappointed with the size of the dessert but still delicious. Recommend you make a reservation as it can get very busy. You can also call ahead yo see what the specials are. We heard other patrons rave about the lobster roll they ordered.

Nestled in the charming town of Twillingate, R & J Restaurant is a beloved family dining spot that caters to a variety of tastes. Whether you're in the mood for hearty soups and fresh salads or craving classic comfort foods like burgers and fried chicken, this eatery has something for everyone. Diners rave about the quick and friendly service, which goes above and beyond to accommodate individual preferences—especially when it comes to their famous fish and chips!
Had cod tacos and a turkey dinner. The cod was awesome...thick piece of fresh, favorful cod. The fries were perfectly cooked, and the coleslaw is made fresh daily here. I loved the coleslaw. My turkey dinner was served piping hot with big slabs of turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes, and I was surprised by the mildly sweet taste of the turnips. We would love to return to try other entrees.
J J — Google review
Ordered the veggie pizza. The pizza crust was store bought and too thick, the ingredients (the little that was on there) slide off the crust, difficult to eat, very little sauce and the mushrooms were canned, not fresh. Not sure about the rest of the menu but I wouldn't trust it.
Tobie M — Google review
Staff were friendly, views of the harbour were great! Food…not great, battered fish was soggy and no flavour, wedgies had no flavour, l actually had one not even cooked. The seafood pasta had chunks of onion, no flavour, the loaded wedgies had too much bbq sauce, it over powered everything, couldn’t taste the ranch or green onion. The steak was a cheap cut, done correctly on one side and raw in the middle. For $120, was definitely not worth the money or experience. Portions were ok, but flavour was absent. If you’re looking for great service, this is up there, if you’re looking for great food, go to another restaurant.

Had some awesome fish and chips… lightly battered and not greasy! Good chips too. Good turkey soup! Friendly service too.

It was really busy so we had to wait a bit for a table - not too long. Tourist season is longer than expected in Twillingate this year so this was the only restaurant open at lunch time the first day we were there. Service was fantastic! The cod & chips as well as the burger were delicious and we really enjoyed both!

Great food at great prices! Our family loved the BBQ chicken burger, the loaded wedges (amazing and a must-try), chicken fingers and garlic fingers (which were our favourite ever!!!!). The food came quickly too. Great spot right by the water. Plenty of food - consider sharing or you can take home. We would definitely go back!

The pan fried cod is delicious. You should give a try. This restaurant is recommended by a local hotel owner

D&T Seafood is not particularly flashy from the outside, but the food is delicious. The lobster roll was one of the best I've ever had, probably because of being filled with a generous portion of very fresh lobster. The coleslaw was sweet and creamy and the homemade cheesecake was the perfect way to finish the meal.
D. B — Google review
No word of a lie, this was probably the best fish n' chips I've had and definitely some of the best fries. This place isn't fancy but it's like 100 feet from the ocean in Twillingate, meaning you know you're getting fresh fish. When we were here, it was also packed with locals, which is always a good sign. Don't skip this if you're in town!

Frozen bagged fries, and a cook with a frozen heart. Our waitress was kind and polite but we could hear the cook complaining about us thoughout our entire meal while the server asked her to be quiet. Will not be returning, we were nervous to eat our food after hearing the cook bad mouth us for 20 minutes.

Great place to try out. I asked for lobster dinner. $49.99 included lobster and anchor salad. Great food. Staff was great.

When you visit Twillingate at the end of September, there’s not much left open! We were sure glad Georgie’s stays open!! The food was excellent and the service friendly and attentive. The star of the show for us had to be the mussels! You’ll need to order extra bread for the broth. Yum. And I can’t forget to mention their dessert take on the Touton. Absolutely delicious.

We were here in early June and were staying in The Annex up on the hill behind The Anchor Inn. Being early in the season there weren't many others around yet. Our server was great, very friendly and prompt. We ordered their "Local cod in a crispy Quidi Vidi beer batter. Served with tartar sauce, fresh lemon, house-made slaw and fries". And the dessert we got was a very tasty "NAN'S MINI PIES" -3 traditional "mini pie" shells filled with a choice of local berry compote and topped with Fussell's Cream." Unfortunately they were so tasty looking that we gobbled them down before I thought to get a picture. So delicious! The paintings on the wall were beautiful scenes of the area. Also there is a great view of the harbour!

Went to Georgie’s for anniversary dinner. The food and service were second to none. We had a charcuterie board as an appetizer, and it was filled with lots of different goodies I had the pan fried cod, and my wife had the blackened salmon.. I highly recommend trying Georgie’s out if you’re in the area.

With limited late-night dining options in the Newfoundland suburbs, we ended up at Georgie’s more out of necessity than choice. We both ordered the Seafood platter, which was decent overall. The cod and the salmon were flaky and fresh, but the dish itself wasn’t particularly memorable—just fine. The dining room ambiance could use a little help: it lacked warmth and felt a bit stark. Some softer lighting and a more attentive service would have gone a long way in elevating the experience. That said, we had a pleasant enough meal, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression.

We wanted to have a nice dinner at this place but it did not work out. When we came on Monday at 5 pm, the place was almost empty with only 3 tables occupied. The waitress dined sitting us suggesting that we have no reservation and it is all booked. She did not even make an effort to suggest options and they clearly would not be full within an hour or so as the restaurant is fairly big and has 15-20 tables.

We visited Georgie’s in October when it was the only place open in Twillingate. I’d suggest if you have other options, take them. The food was meh at best - chicken souvlaki was dry and the rice was plain minute rice with some herb sprinkled on top. Fish was soggy in fish and chips and the fries were overcooked. Side salad was nice with a homemade dressing - highlight of the meal. $80 we wish we could get back - grilled cheese and soup at airbnb would have been better.

Went for dinner with my mother and sister and we had a wonderful evening. My sister and I had salmon and it was cooked perfectly with fresh, delicious veg sides. My mum loved the seafood linguine. I have been often and have always enjoyed the hospitality and service. Huge thanks to all at Georgie's for a great night.
