Good place mostly to have a quick grocery pickup or sit down to eat and chat at the cafe's and restaurants. Don't expect much when you go inside though. As of the day I went there it's still a little bit of a ghost town especially upstairs (maybe due to renovations). But it's generally clean and looks okay.

It's a decent mall though still needs to upgrade some of its facilities as well as bring new shops on board. Further, new marketing strategies can be introduced to make the mall lively and vibrant.

Soweto Market is thriving and bustling; it is one of the biggest and busiest markets in the country. It is full of goods and products, clothing, food and practically anything you can think of. And there's always someone to carry your goodies at a fee. Just ensure you negotiate the fee before you go on your shopping spree🛍 🤔

Things are cheap here. You will find good vegetables and other food stuffs just waiting for you to get them. It's a big place that covers all foods under one roof. I love the place. A place of good food.

Business minded pipo around there though the market is not too conducive for selling of role food due to stagnant sewage water.. which can cause diseases.

Collection of traditional African homes. Lots of local vendors with stone and wood carvings for sale. It was a bit of a tourist trap, but it was interesting to see the native wood. I enjoyed looking through the many minerals for sale.

I wasn't sure I'd go as I'd read that vendors were pretty intense, but it seems like the word has spread that harassing tourists doesn't get them to buy things. For the most part, the market was really relaxed, vendors were very kind, and I was able to usually just take my time to browse. Very few vendors were pushy - when anyone started getting a bit aggressive with the selling, i just bailed. Prices are still highly inflated, however, with a bit of pleasant, amicable bargaining, all is well. İt's also a beautiful setting- some of the buildings are used as shops while others have different purposes (ex: one has a little buffet). İt makes part of the place feel like a tourist area while other parts feel more like an actual village. All in all, it's definitely worth a wee little venture out there.

Friendly people. They are happy to tell you when you ask about goods and traditions. Market mood. Same stuff in every tent, prices vary depending on your haggling skills. There is also a small kitchen where you can get local food. Take one of the merchants with you and offer him a meal. Worth a visit.

A great selections of products, from art to wood carvings, jewellery and all varied qualities too. Be prepared to bargain! Not to underpay the sellers but to ensure you get a reasonable deal and aren’t ripped off. For example a set of book ends beautifully carved in stone. He asked for 750 which my driver said was far too high. We paid 250 which he was happy for. Driver later said the chap had spoken in local dialect to another seller and would’ve taken 150… Just as an indication :) Highly recommend the market. It was a great experience. A unique traditional craft, cultural and heritage village where rural artisans from all over Zambia bring their products for display and sale, there is huge bargaining, the maintenance of the premises requires a lot of improvement.

A valuable cultural village in which the residents live there, most of them are artisans and make beautiful wood carvings mainly and sell them in tent shops. The detail of their work is remarkable, as is their art. It is worth buying small souvenirs from there at good prices, always bargaining. The people are polite and not too pushy, like elsewhere. They even let you take photos and videos of their work and the village.

Once you're inside the compound of this village you're immediately treated to a beautiful display of artworks that are mostly handcrafted from wood and stone. There are items like wooden key holders, wooden freezer magnets, miniature stone-carved plates, wooden pen holders, wooden statues, african chess boards with wooden animals as board pieces, wooden pens, wooden animals you can use as decorations at home, etc. And they all have "Zambia" engraved on them which serves as a suitable souvenir to take back home if you're a tourist like me. I really enjoyed my time there.

I have now tried their meals out and more designer cake orders, I must commend the team on their superb 👌 service. I have been happy with my cakes (see pictures) and the food is equally to die for, delicious 😋. You'll never go wrong visiting this place for a bite to eat or for a drink.

Service and staff are really good they make nice coffee and the chicken and mayo is really good. Just sometimes the freshness of their cakes can be improved same with some of the other food items. But all and all its a great coffee place especially if you want to get some work done or just have a cuppa with a friend

I found this restaurant close to where I had a meeting and thought it would be a great quick bite to eat. The waitress was unclear of the menu to start with. The pizza I ordered was unavailable, when I changed to a Margherita the image attached is what I received. I didn’t fuss so removed the green peppers. However it was far from a pizza 🍕. There was only 2 people in the restaurant besides myself who were having food. It’s not an Italian Restaurant and this should be clear. The food is far from it, I hope the owners can do something to improve on the food as the location is good.

When we saw this place we thought it would be a good stop for lunch. We were the only ones there besides two people talking loudly on speakerphone. We ordered food and it didn’t arrive for at least an hour and a half, and when it came my partner’s pizza was undercooked so much that it was still dough. My dish was alright, but not really worth the wait time. If you’re coming for drinks, choose beer. If you’re coming for food… don’t.

Lovely serene place to chill out. Has a cozy environment. Their service and food is ok. They have Italian cheese and cold meats for sale too. They make lovely mojitos! And there cheese cake is on point!

Google suggested me the place. Besides me and my wife there was only one table of very noisy people. The had a very loud soundbox. They kept increasing the volume and playing sirens until it was impossible to talk. Even yelling I could not talk to my wife. The waitress had no idea about the food. The table was wobbly and dusty. I ordered a beer and it came hot. We left before ordering the food.

Great steaks here, especially the t-bone steak served sizzling hot! Excellent customer service. Not crowded at all. The ambience was subdued and a number of patrons were not masked up. The table layout hopefully could quickly be rearranged to ensure wheelchair users have proper access. A few mod cons might big up this upmarket restaurant, such as WiFi access.

It's an elegant place with nice interior decoration. They have the best chicken livers in town and my favorite main course is Rib-eye steak which is juicy on a sizzling hot plate. There are quite a lot of wines/spirits/cocktails to choose but much fewer options of soft drinks. Quick service. Sometimes the music is a bit loud and distracting.

First time and was really disappointed with the food , I was served brown chips that had partially been burnt , wondering how someone would see the chips are not okay and still serve them to a customer.The waitress was kind but I would not recommend the place to have a good meal and skeptical to go back.

The sirloin steak and rib Eye were good and cooked to the requested level. They are very genourous with their salad portions and the salads are good. The mash potatoes tasted very plain(no cheese or butter or anything). The lemon and herbs chicken wings were like boiled chicken without any taste. The waiters were good/friendly and customer service was okay.

A perfect, quiet hiatus in a bustling city is the most befitting description for this establishment. Musa (the manager) was very welcoming and guided me to my preferred seat Frank waited on me with great attention. I had a refreshing Green Tea and Lemon iced tea which was very quenching. The highlight of my visit was tasting the vegetarian wrap. Every bite was sensational. This veggie wrap wasn't trying to be a meat wrap, but showcasing how beautiful veggies can taste. Ambiance is perfect for conversation with family, friends or a first date. I will be returning, hungry for more.

Had lunch here with a friend and really enjoyed it. The service was fast, and the food was tasty. Their Irish coffee is absolutely amazing — every sip was refreshing and perfectly balanced. However, I was a bit surprised that my pork ribs and rice were served without any sauce, which I had to order separately at an extra cost. Still, the overall experience was pleasant. The place has a lovely green surrounding that makes it great for a relaxed lunch.

I visited the restaurant at 8PM and that’s a bit late for most activities in Lusaka, but let me tell you something, I had a smoothie and a croissant, it was delicious and fresh and the ambiance is amazing for people looking for aesthetics that’s the places, unfortunately I couldn’t take more pictures of the interior not to interfere with the people enjoying their evening, you can check it on socials media. It’s a great place to visit and the waiter who served us was very friendly it’s a shame I don’t remember his name.

These lentils were so delicious. I came here with a group of 12 while in Zambia for a mission trip. All of the food was plated beautifully. The salads and vegetables were all so fresh or cooked perfectly. The mushroom pasta sauce is super good as well. I'm definitely hoping to be able to eat here again when we come back for our next mission trip. The service was some of the best service we had in Zambia. The server was attentive and did her best to try and anticipate what we might need before we even asked. 10/10 recommend.

I only had a juice there as I wasn't staying long and had already had lunch, but the menu looks amazing and I can't wait to come back to try some of their dishes! The juice was so freshly refreshing! (And it matched my shirt! 🤣) I went back the next day with a friend for supper! I had a great minute steak (forgot to take a photo), she had calamari (no photo). Both dishes were really good! We had a chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream for dessert (soooooo good!) Oh!... and another juice for me (beetroot, carrot and apple)

I had visited mint lounge before but it was a rushed experience that ended up being take away, I opted to have my breakfast here today and get the full experience of their service. The atmosphere is pretty and very "chill", its not noisy so if you want a quick meeting over a meal or just somewhere to sit and chat it seems like a good option. The service is prompt, a little disorganised because I kept losing my waitress but others filled in on her behalf, which helped. The food was so lovely and scrumptious, looked very simple but I loved how it tasted and it was not over the top or exaggerated, just simple and delicious.

This is the university of Zambia, behind the hostels...its a good view if you ask me.....taking a walk in the late afternoons...... it's a big institution and has many places to explore. When looking for prestigious university, this is your kind of place...

One of the best university environment with hard working lecturers and students. The campus is really big with alot of places for self reflection.

It is a nice place with a lake behind the institution for scenic beauty leisure. There is also a big mall nearby so snacks while you relax won't be a problem. The institution is a wide community of about 15-20 thousand students. I have also had a fair share of using their sports fields which are quiet okey although not of the average best standard. The place I believe will have more student as well as community benefiting projects due to the vast land still unused. And you don't have to worry about parking space because there is plenty for both the public and staff at the institution.

The Topmost and Biggest University in Zambia. Has one of the biggest Libraries in the country and issues the most recognized Degrees in the country. Accommodation is offered to full time students and has 2 lakes that offer a beautiful view. You can find a clinic, basketball court and football pitch here. It's also located near a shopping mall and hotels.

It was an early dinner so the place was relatively quiet at first. Unfortunately once it got a bit busier it was hard to get the waiter's attention but they did the best they could. The food was exceptional! The flavours were great with the main dishes. The steak was cooked to perfection and the curry chicken was seasoned extremely well. LThe side dishes were ok and you could refill as much as you like. The portion sizes were also good enough to fill you. The Malawi shandy was just alright. I've tasted better. Definitely would like to return and try other dishes

"Marlin" Restaurant is nestled in the heart of the Longacres area, adjacent to the once prestigious Lusaka Club. It is also a dining experience that leaves a mixed impression. The decor, while maybe aiming for a cosy ambience, feels outdated and needs a refresh. The open kitchen concept, while possibly intended to showcase culinary artistry, inadvertently fills the dining area with a cacophony of aromas, some enticing, others less so. The menu (by the way, printed with some typing errors) offers a diverse range of options, but the execution is inconsistent. The rock shandy lacked the expected zest, and the pancakes were overly sweet, lacking the depth of brandy flavour. The minestrone was passable, while the self-serve salad bar raised hygiene concerns. However, the pepper steak emerged as a standout dish, delivering on flavour. The dimly lit interior, while perhaps intended to create an intimate atmosphere, instead cast a gloomy pall over the dining experience. Service was attentive, but the ambience exceeded expectations for a restaurant of - said by locals - 'calibre'. In summary, Marlin Restaurant presents a mixed bag of culinary delights and also disappointments, with the potential for "greatness" if they address the shortcomings in decor, menu execution, and ambience.

Definitely had a old golf country club feel if you are looking for that type of environment. Unfortunately the table cloth was filthy and had multiple oil stains. Not a good look for an older building. The pepper steak was cooked medium well as I asked for and the pepper gravy was the best I’ve had. The baked potato was perfectly cooked but extremely small. I’d say the price for what you get is a little high but I’d go back just for the pepper steak!

One of Lusaka's restaurants that has stood the test of time. It has a cosy environment and good service. There food is tasty and fresh. They serve the best pepper steak in town. It has two outlets. One at Lusaka Club and the other at East Park Mall. Reservations can be made prior to your visit but walk-ins are also welcome. Food can also be pre-ordered for pick up later. Overall, it has a good ambience, good food and friendly staff.

Really enjoyed my vegetarian pad Thai! Huge portions, enough for two filling meals or could even be split as 3 ‘comfortable’ meals. Had some of the house red wine which was also quite good. Would definitely recommend this place because of the quality of service, food, portion sizes and ambiance!!

Very average food not impressed as a first time customer, one dish sweet & sour pork tenderloins tasted like they had spent time in the freezer and defrosted in the microwave, all stuck together and difficult to separate. Once bitten twice shy shall not be going back sorry.

Badly run compared to how it used to be. Couldn't do three of the dishes we ordered because they'd run out of ingredients. Only had two types of wine available, one red, one white. The young Chinese manageress walked past our table with her hands in her pockets about ten times without ever addressing a word to us. Food was nice and the other staff were good.

The food is good, but the environment still lacks the Western-style professionalism. No receipt, got my order wrong. The workers are nice though.

1.Cold customer service,staff are not quick enough to welcome you and settle you down at a table and segregative.(Chinese are better welcomed) 2.Alcohol department doesn't seem to favour local beer(lagers ,Mosi/castle out of stock pathetic) excuse!.local staff also don't seem to know the chinese menu too well. 3.Chocking Spices! Hot food spices from kitchen was an unpleasant experience! The air inside was polluted chili spices chocked guests as well as staff(coughing) we felt teagassed. Never again.

The waiting staff were very friendly and welcoming. The booths were clean and nicely lit. They had lots of options on the menu. The sushi was tasty and filling. I was also very impressed when they brought the white wine out with chilled wine glasses, something that most restaurants do not do. So that gave them an extra point. The sides were very yummy too.

I really like deep fried hake. I ordered that with a side of seasonal veggies. Additionally, I also ordered a side of mushroom sauce, but sadly it came in a tiny palm sized metal tin that was quite dissapointing. Because I really love mushroom sauce. John Dory's is one of the few restaurants in Lusaka offering a selection of sea foods at an affordable price. So I expected better.

John Dory’s - East Park Mall It has been a long time since we visited John Dory’s. What a huge variety of seafood, offered in the menu. We stuck to sushi …. the salmon platter and the family platter. We also had some Buffalo Prawn and fried calamari as starters. Each dish was done to perfection. Generous servings too. Service was excellent …. food came to our table promptly … a wonderful evening out.
