Vista Point Lookout Canyon is an amazing destination with friendly locals and breathtaking scenery. It offers a remarkable landscape to admire, where one can relax, sip on a refreshing Cantarito Jalisco-style drink, bask in the sun, and listen to the soothing sounds of waterfalls. Although some visitors experienced limited visibility due to dense fog during their January 2022 visit, they still appreciated the beautiful wall art by Vitro and the charming marionette clock found along the streets.

Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque town of Zacatlán, Restaurante El Mirador offers a delightful culinary experience that showcases traditional Mexican cuisine. With its vibrant dining room adorned with colorful decor and stunning mountain views, this restaurant is perfect for enjoying classic dishes like mixiotes and tlacoyos. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, El Mirador promises to tantalize your taste buds while providing a warm and inviting atmosphere.
More than anything, it is the view. Hundreds of feet above the canyon, the view goes on and on. Would have been nice had been able to access the viewing platform. Nice store with handicrafts and various food items. Food was good, staff are nice, bathrooms clean. Tours offered as well, various themes around Tlaxco.
Laurin J — Google review
Food was good, but the vista and location is why you want to come here. They also have a shop selling local products, some of which are really interesting.
Brian L — Google review
The is the best restaurant in Zacatlan by far, the view it's incredible and the prices are worthy, delicious food and good sidra. The staff it's really gentle and friendly. They will make sure you have a great time. The only downsides it's that it may get a little crowded on the weekends.
Gus G — Google review

Hector S — Google review
A great restaurant on the edge of the canyon with the best views. Great place to watch the clouds roll in and the hawks circling the canyon
Jim J — Google review
Excellent restaurant, just the place to get great food, nice views, and outstanding service. Get there early otherwise you will have a long wait time to get seated.
Alex H — Google review
The place was very bad, they wouldn't let me park and there was a lot of space and they wanted to take my car somewhere else that wasn't.
Andrea G — Google review
Best place to eat with a great view of the Landscape. Not so far from the center, either before visiting the city or before departing, this place has everything you need to have a great time, including great Mexican dishes and even a package you can ask call “Comida corrida” where you can eat soup, rice, main dish, and beans, basically a typical complete for Mexican food. Accompanied with this there is the view that on a sunny day can let you see the Barranca and even a waterfall in the distance, but on a foggy day can become the most magical view looking at how the clouds come and go changing the landscape and feel of the entire place.

Zacatlán de las Manzanas is a unique magical town in Puebla, known for its location in the Sierra Norte that often shrouds it in thick fog, creating a dreamy atmosphere. The town hosts the Feria de la Manzana, an annual event featuring various activities and artists. Visitors can explore numerous accommodations, natural attractions, as well as charming cafes and restaurants. This lovely town offers an awesome natural experience that shouldn't be missed.

I will be coming back! Fell in love with this place
Contreras E — Google review
Zacatlan de las Manazanas was beautiful with amazing scenery off the observation deck, mosaics all over the city and many places to shop and dine. The only thing that was extremely difficult was parking as we brought a passenger van for our whole family. I would also recommend at least spending 2 days there to be able to do all the activities like zip lining along the canyon and seeing the caves that we didn’t get a chance to go to. Bring tennis shoes for walking and when going during the holidays expect more crowds than usual.

El Andador is a fantastic establishment to savor authentic Mexican cuisine. The meat is delectable, the dishes are satisfying and reasonably priced. The venue is clean and the service is prompt. The restaurant boasts pleasant music and offers excellent terraces for capturing traditional town photos. I highly recommend this place, especially if you enjoy spicy sauces! With its fair pricing, delightful view, and friendly service, El Andador guarantees a remarkable dining experience.
A very nice restaurant with a great breakfast menu and an awesome view of Zacatlan from the roof top
Jim J — Google review
El Andador is a crowded popular centric restaurant, the wait is long to get a table. The location provides 4 leves to get a view of the town, the views are average at best, but the price and local flavors are the best thing, good food at an affordable price. The service is average, but normal for a busy place.
René G — Google review
We dined at El Andador yesterday, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. My husband ordered a dish with steak, eggs, and beans, and he ended up with food poisoning. We're not sure which component of the dish caused it, but it was a severe enough issue to warrant concern. I ordered the chilaquiles with chicken and mole. The dish had very little chicken and a cold mole sauce, which is not how it should be served. Fortunately, I didn't get sick, but the overall quality of the food was far below expectations. Given our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Food safety is paramount, and our experience suggests that this establishment needs to improve both its quality control and its cooking standards.

Came for lunch with a group on a Saturday, really great ambiance with fantastic service and amicable staff. There also was live singing. A vast selection of food options to pick from as well as alcoholic and juices, coffee, tea. All of the food we ordered was great: chilaquiles were on point (with chorizo, was a little overcooked but good), choriqueso with tortillas, chicken mole (sauce was perfecto), salad was filling, fruit was ripe, green juice was fresh, and the mojito with red berries was delicious. The price of food to portion size was good and affordable.

#ElAndador in #Zacatlán, #Puebla, offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious steaks, particularly the flavorful #Cecina and the spicy #Arrachera a la Diabla. The restaurant boasts great service, enhancing the overall atmosphere. What truly sets it apart is the breathtaking view of foggy Zacatlán, creating a unique and memorable ambiance. The town of Zacatlán, nestled in the Puebla region, is known for its charming streets and apple orchards, adding to the allure of El Andador. Nestled in the heart of Santa Fe, Casa Fernández 1876 is a delightful dining destination that captures the essence of Southwestern and Mexican cuisine. Casa Fernandez is a wonderful restaurant in the center of Zacatlan. Great traditional Mexican offerings like their fantastic caldo de habas and one of the best pipians I've ever had. The drinks are good as well. The service is friendly, professional, and patient with the Spanish challenged. When I come back to foggy, magical Zaclatan, I will make this my first stop.

Casa Fernandez in Zacatlán de las Manzanas offers a delightful dining experience within the charming ambiance of the Fernandez family house. The Steak in Huitlacoche sauce and Mango Habanero salmon are standout dishes, delivering a delightful culinary experience. The inside garden adds to the pleasant atmosphere, complemented by occasional live music and Karaoke nights. Service was bad. They had a large group of people in the event’s room and they totally didn’t care about anybody else. We asked for our food multiple times and they kept forgiving what we ordered. Our food came cold and we didn’t have silverware to eat. A woman said she will take care of us but it was just a said. The experience didn’t allow us to enjoy our food and maybe it was good food but all what we can remember is that we were happy when we walked in and accepted the waitress invitation and one hour later we just wanted to leave and never go back. You may have better luck, but me and my family, we’ll go to another place next time we visit Zacatlan.

Amazing food. I had some green enchiladas here that were some of the best I've ever had! Salsa wasn't overly spicy and they let me try it to make sure! The owner lady was really active and wanted to chat with us. We even came up with a new menu item with her. A "tour of Zacatlan" a menu item with a little bit of lots of things on her menu. The place itself if super clear and had a gorgeous interior with a garden and a tree in the middle. It's a MUST visit in my opinion if your in Zacatlan!

Awesome waterfall that is pretty close to Zacatlán. The roads down to the parking area are not super well maintained and are red clay gravel. If you're up for the ~360 step climb back up, it's pretty nice views of the waterfall down the stairs. Definitely recommended doing the zipline and rope bridge experience for something like 60 pesos per person.

The waterfall is extraordinary. However I put only 3 stars, so I must explain. The parking lot when you arrive is trashed as if it was a landfill. The guard comes to explain there are two main areas to go, the official one, on one side of the waterfall, with a fee, and the other side, a bit more rustic, for a donation. We took the rustic one because there were less people and we wanted to take some nice photographs. But the entire way down is trashed. The guard, although nice, was really smelly of alcohol and smoke. I explained him how it wad bad for the planet, for themselves, for tourism... and he said he understood but I don't think he really cared. I am sad to see how trashed this country is. People are amazing everywhere I go, every hotel, every restaurant, but it is more trashed than almost anywhere I have been - except maybe for Malaysia. I will hope this place get cleaned up. Zacatlan is a Pueblo Magico, and in the town it's really clean, but all around is fully trashed. Wake up Magical Village, and do something !

Worth the price. Did the zip line and bridge activity for around 6 dollars. You get an amazing view. If you are willing to step down the 365 steps you can get a great pic.

Very nice place! Great views and you can do zip line and bridge crossing over the waterfall! Entrance 2 , zip line 2,5 and bridge 3,5 dollars! so it is very cheap. Very close to Zacatlan which is also nice to visit.

The coffee from Sierra Norte de Puebla, available at Cafe del Zaguan in Zacatlan, is of exceptional quality. This charming coffee shop offers a delightful experience where you can savor the delicious coffee along with their tasty cheese bread. The buffet option is highly recommended as it provides a variety of delectable and warm dishes. What sets this cafe apart is the opportunity to purchase ground coffee for home brewing, ensuring you can enjoy their excellent coffee anytime.
The buffet is well worth it, the food was all tasty and warm, best of all is the included coffee which by the way you can purchase ground to go and have a great brew at home. Will be coming back just for the coffee :)

The service, the ambiance, the coffee & the food are all excellent. The place is owned by Trejo, a local business that builds coffee roasters. They have a great buffet on the weekends and have small concerts too on some night. We will come back often.

(Translated by Google) We went in the late afternoon. There were only three tables occupied. They gave us a table, laid out tablecloths, and gave us the menu. It took more than 20 minutes for someone to come over to ask if we were going to order (she claims to be the owner). She explained and suggested things on the menu. It still took another 10 minutes for someone to take our order, and it was only because we spoke to her again; otherwise, no one would have come over. We ordered a pitcher of orange water that tasted completely artificial. I also ordered some enfrijoladas, which were awful. The tortilla was hard, not because it was fried, but because it was cold and tasted like something out of the refrigerator. However, if you're an acquaintance of the owner or a large group, it won't take long to serve you. A very bad experience.

I reconfirmed my reservation two days before and they told me yes, they already had it. When I arrived, it turned out they had canceled my reservation because I didn't confirm. I showed them the call log, they all threw me a curve ball and couldn't give me an answer. Fortunately, there was a table that had just finished breakfast and they offered us that table downstairs. On the call, they had told me again that the buffet cost was $145. When I paid, it turned out to be more and they didn't want to honor the cost or the requested spot. I paid, but another issue arose because they wanted to double charge me because they ran out of paper at the terminal. I showed them that the charge had already appeared and they had to take a photo of my phone. A very unpleasant experience, and the staff were unable to resolve my requests at any time. If you're looking for a unique experience, Museo del Vino "La Primavera" is a must-visit destination. For just $20 per person, you can embark on a brief yet enriching guided tour that dives into the fascinating world of fruit wines and liqueurs. The knowledgeable guide shares insights about the production process and the rich history behind these delightful beverages, all rooted in family traditions.
Small little destillery/winery. The tour lasts about 7 minutes. Even though it's small, it is very informative. They take you through the actual destillery and explain the tools of the trade. All for 10 pesos. At the end you may taste for free a wide selection of their product, from bubbly to spirits and wines. Great stuff.

Nice short tour of past and present methods of wine making. Presentation in Spanish. A tasting of wine and liquors after the tour. Tour and tasting for 20 pesos. I can recommend Catorce Tortillas Liquor de Hierbas and Vino dulce Membrillo. Both very sweet perhaps an after dinner serving. Worth the visit.

It is not a museum it’s a factory, it’s very small and they don’t tell you anything about the real story of the wine, basically they are showing you their facilities in 5 minutes, and give you some “samples” in little plastic cups that they don’t even fill to the half, just bad.

Unusual lava rock formations set amid woods & grassland in a park with trails, camping & zip lining.
Entry as well as parking is free, donations welcome. The last few km off the highway,to reach the place, is full of potholes. Huge area that would take several hours on foot. No map of the place as such. Taking the horse carriage would take one only a short distance beyond the restaurant. Paid toilets at entrance as well as near the restaurant. Recommended to take a guided tour on foot or on horseback to explore the place better. The day we went was quite sunny and warm with clear views and one would need sunglasses/sun hat/sunscreen. But can apparently be colder earlier in the morning and sometimes fog descends after noon. The rock formations were interesting enough but not overly impressive to those who have seen a better collection elsewhere but the vast open area has its own charm!
Krithika M — Google review
Great place to walk around and see the rock formations. Rent a guide by the entrance. I feel we got the most out of our walk that way. You can also rent a horse or carriage ride.
Janne L — Google review
Amazing location very rustic but worth the drive. You experience a great view of natural rock formation mixed with some tourist things like wagon and horse rides. We skipped them and just spent a few hours wondering around and climbed a viewpoint to take some photos. No entrance fee but voluntary contributions welcome.

A huge park where you can ride a bike around, ride a zip-line, walk and climb rocks, have a picnic in a palapa or stroll in the wood. Entrance is a donation. The park is really big and it takes around 3 hours to see all of it, so you should consider a bike or a horse. There is an actual wood in the park and lots of trees but a significant part is not shadowed so you should probably put some sunscreen and use a hat.b

A must-visit place! Take a horse tour of 30 or 60 minutes. Those bizzare stone figures are worth seeing, they formed from ignious rocks millions of years ago, from bubbly lava. You can camp in the premises of that national park too, bring your camping gear along, it's 5 USD per person! Don't forget to buy a case of apples on the road side for treats for the horses, it will cost you the same price. If you are not a camping fan, bungalows with fire places close to the park are around 10-20 USD per person! Pay attention on little billboards along the road that takes you to the park , or look on booking apps. Good luck!

Initially, there were concerns about the quality of customer service at Parim Pizza-crepa-vino-Pasta due to some negative comments. However, these doubts were proven wrong as the staff provided excellent and prompt assistance. The pizzas offered at this establishment are exceptionally delicious. While many people opt for the famous Manzana pizza, it is the Tuscany pizza that truly captivates hearts and satisfies appetites with its delectable taste.
This place is the best. The servers are great. Why the hell would you go to Domino's when this place is here? It's way better than Domino's.

The pizzas here are truly exceptional! We were impressed by their originality and flavor. While we also sampled other dishes like pasta and wings, we found them to be lacking—some were a bit too acidic or overcooked. If they could improve those offerings, it would make the overall experience even better. But the pizzas are definitely the highlight of our visit!
