Nature & Wildlife Areas
Caversham Wildlife Park is a family-run park located within Whiteman Park, just a short drive from Perth. The park is home to around 200 species of animals and offers farm shows and opportunities for up-close encounters with the wildlife. Visitors can also explore the expansive Whiteman Park, which features walking trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Additionally, the surrounding area offers attractions such as water parks, outdoor adventure parks, resorts, and picturesque wineries in the Swan Valley.
This park is fabulous. So many animals to see and the park is lovely to explore. It's well set out with the paths taking you off on little loops to see the animals. It was lovely getting to pat and interact with the kangaroos and my son was absolutely delighted to be able to meet Jessie the wombat and have a photo with her. The highlight of our perth trip.

Just got back from visiting that wildlife park in Perth, and wow, it was awesome! The place is really well-maintained, and it's easy to get around with the kids. I particularly loved the kangaroo feeding; it was such a cool experience getting up close to them. The staff were super friendly allowing the kids to touch and carry some of the reptiles. The kids absolutely loved it too, and were so excited. Honestly, there's so much to see and do there; you could easily spend a whole day. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area! It's a great day out for the whole family, and you can take some amazing pictures. Just note that it's going to be very crowded on the weekend.

This is beautiful wildlife park that you should bring your family to when coming to Perth on a vacation. There are plenty of parking spaces here and there is a long peaceful drive from the entrance of Whiteman Park to this place. Just be mindful not to come during a rainy day as your experience will be affected. The park is very clean and the staffs are friendly everywhere from the ticket booth to the animal farm show. We spent over 3 hours here with the family and the kids were loving it. Besides admiring the various animals and birds here, we also fed the kangaroos and checked out the koala photo area which had a very long queue. May I also add that we were delighted to have seen a baby koala and baby white kangaroo in its mother’s pouch as it is not something you see often. While the food at the cafeteria isn’t the best, it did not affect our overall experience as we came here to let our kids socialise with animals and enjoy the beauty of nature. I hope we will have another opportunity to visit this place again if we visit Australia.

Caversham Wildlife Park was such a fun experience! It’s amazing how close you can get to the animals — feeding and interacting with them made the visit extra special. The park has an impressive number of animals, from kangaroos to farm animals, and everything felt well cared for and organized. It’s a great place for families, couples, or anyone who loves animals. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Ethan W — Google review
We enjoyed this place although it is never easy seeing animals in enclosures. They appeared well looked after and loved. We thought the fact that you can get photos with the animals at no additional cost to entrance fee Great.

“We had an absolutely fantastic day at Caversham Wildlife Park! The opportunity to get up close with native Australian animals — from kangaroos and wallabies to koalas and wombats — made it a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for families with children’s to explore Australian wild animals and birds.
Kuppuswamy G — Google review
We took a drive out to Caversham Wildlife Park. It was our first visit and we had a great time. Highlights were feeding the kangaroos and holding Koalas and snakes. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we would definitely come back for another visit.
Jon L — Google review
We walk there from Whiteman train station. Along the way, we met many wild wallaby jumping and very active. But once we go to caversham, I notice that kangaroo and wallaby always resting, sitting, lying. They are not active, compare to the one I met outside caversham wildlife. Some animal are nocturnal which I understand why they look very tired.

Nestled in the picturesque Swan Valley, just a short drive from Perth's bustling CBD, Whiteman Park is a sprawling conservation reserve that offers an array of activities for nature enthusiasts and families alike. With over 30 kilometers of scenic walkways and bike paths, it's an ideal spot to immerse yourself in the great outdoors. The park features Caversham Wildlife Park, where you can get up close with Australia's unique wildlife—a must-do for animal lovers!
Whiteman Park is a great place for family and friends gatherings. Really nice picnic areas throughout the park. Public toilets are available. Great playground area for children. Plenty of car parking available. My granddaughter loved her special day. We celebrated Ruby's 3rd birthday party at Whiteman Park it was a great family day out. HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY RUBY 🥳🎉🎈🎂 🎈🎉 🥰

One of the well known parks to visit in Western Australia. It has plenty of sites and attractions to visit, such as Tractor Museum of WA, Caversham Wildlife Park, and many more. There is also a cafe nearby, and there are also playgrounds. It’s best to get here by car, as they provide parking spot as well. Getting here using public transport is still accessible, but it requires a 20-30 minute walk to get to the park from the bus/train station.

$20 unlimited stream train entry. Had three rides on three separate trains. Can't go wrong for $20. Really good park. A large and diverse park, as good as it gets without leaving greater Perth

Came to watch the Tarmac Rally event. The park is wonderful has great facilities, there is something for everyone. I had a coffee from the cafe and it was fabulous, Flat White extra shot perfection. Some photos of the Rally. I will be back to check out the Motor Museum.

Whiteman Park is such a beautiful and well-kept place! The park is super clean, with plenty of parking and lots of space to explore. There are so many cool things to do — from walking trails to wildlife areas — and the play places are absolutely amazing for kids. It’s the perfect spot for a family day out or just to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Highly recommend visiting!

Beautifil space. Lovely for family outings, picnic or BBQ. Really need a car to get there as the only public transport was train but it didn't go into the Village. Used the Tram, but missed the return trip which took a hour to walk through bush.

Visited the car museum and WOW! what an experience. A nostalgic experience with tons to look at. Volunteers were there on their time to show you everything.

Coffee shop
Lavender Bistro is a charming European cafe and boutique that offers a relaxed atmosphere with a focus on lavender. It's an ideal spot for families, providing a variety of sweet and savory options for kids to enjoy, including hot items, finger sandwiches, small cakes, and scones. The high tea experience is highly recommended, featuring three-tiered stands filled with delectable treats and starting at $25 per person. The cafe's warm ambiance makes it cozy even in the winter months.
Very hard to find some where that caters for Gluten Free let alone a High Tea , the food was delicious and service was lovely and inviting. Affordable too. Me and my daughter had a great time and would highly recommend the High Tea. Thanks Lavender Bistro and Boutique.

If you love lavender in your food and tea then this place is must go. Big, modern with lots of parking this purple themed cafe is a nice place to chill away from the swan valley crowds. Had the lavender scones, icecream, macarons, cheesecake and tea. This is definitely a Lavender’s dream come true. The scones were nice and wasn’t like your usual very dense scones. The lavender added a nice touch to it. The icecream was nice but I am not a huge fan of lavender. It tastes a bit like soap but that is how I imagine soap tastes like. It was worth the visit to try it though 👌🏼

I had my baby shower today and the staff were so flexible and accommodating to help me set up the way I want. Thank you so much! The food was tasty and everything turned out exactly as planned 😀
Nogol S — Google review
Nice place to have lunch with lots of sunlight and some lavender. Food was decent. The lavender scones were great and very big and the pork cheeks were quite good. The lavender tasting plate was nice, ice cream was tasty but very small portion of the cheesecake and one macaroon. The lavender lemonade and lavender latte was okay. Pricing was okay, worth it for the scones and pork cheeks as those were very filling. Service was good and it was a very nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly. Plenty of parking in the area, they have their own parking lot. Not very busy.

The Manager and Team are very accommodating and friendly. I had my baby shower here (3rd one I have setup). The service was beautiful. I have my own event styling business and they allowed me to do what I wanted. I also got to setup the afternoon before. Love the food and the atmosphere. The lavender milkshake is a must try!
Natalie A — Google review
Good little themed cafe in Swan Valley. Their lavender ice cream, macarons and scones are good. Ice cream has a very strong lavender taste. Went in June so couldnt see a lot of lavender outside the cafe itself since it's winter
Steffi R — Google review
Scones were soft inside and a little bit crusty outside which was super nice on a cold Monday morning! Although i totally recommend adding abit more jam. 😉 The pie was alright. Hot and warm but abit runny for my liking. Tea was good. Just how you would expect a lavender tea to taste like. we ordered classic and lavender scones but i think we only got one type? Too hassle to ask for replacement as it was a busy holiday. Service was great! Can't remember his name but he's very bubbly and was running the floor all by himself which was a pity as there were alot of people dining. He was the server, order taker and cashier rolled into one! 🫠 hope management could do something about that.

The staff were very friendly, and I had such a lovely time enjoying scones, coffee, and tea filled with the gentle aroma of lavender. It was a truly pleasant experience.

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's, a well-established fast-food chain known for its hamburgers and fries, has gained a reputation for its enduring presence in the industry. Surprisingly, the restaurant delivers excellent customer service and fosters effective teamwork within its environment. Furthermore, customers have reported no issues with the quality of their meals. With an affordable price point, McDonald's offerings are satisfying and free from any complaints.
We often take food late at night. And staff Ryan makes sure our food is nice and hot. So happy to receive good customer service and hot food 🥹🥹🥹. Thanks.

Never had that bad experience with other maccas. They gave me the wrong order, asked for a replace and took ages to remake it. 2000 years later, they gave me the correct order but missing the hash brown. They never apologies and this has been happened too many times. The staff, even the manager are so useless👎🏻
Yi S — Google review
I get more and more disappointed and annoyed every time I visit. I’m sitting in drive through waiting and a car after me gets served first. After I had been sitting there for almost 5 minutes whilst cars in front were moving. Would be nice to see people that have actually been trained to do the job especially in the cafe, making drinks too hot or can’t even taste my drink.
Jayde L — Google review
Absolutely useless staff. Food missing, all cold and they charge $50 for wasting your time. Its not a hard job, but these failures can’t even get that right. This is exactly why minimum wage should be $6/hr so under performing people are paid what they are worth…..
CandKhome H — Google review
The staff is so bad mannered, the time they take to complete 1 order is astronomically high. Regardless of that, they don't seem to care about Uber eats, they consume so much time in getting the Uber eats ready! Not recommended at all
Umair S — Google review
Had a take home regular angus beef, large chips and frap cafe for just $14.6. What a bargain! Here comes the real review. First bite was great. The patty was beefy, juicy and flavorful. It had a crusty corner outside and got softer as you bite deeper. However!! It is a little too salty as I eat more to the middle of the meat and I had to contanstly add some of my own salad to balance it out. So it was a minus point. The chips and the frap cafe were very good though. Definitely come back for this angus beef but maybe be more careful with the order - dont put too much salt?!
Hong P — Google review
Not happy with the table service I got when ordered my meal. My latte came out first then I waited 10 minutes for my food before I went up to ask where my meal was before they found my burger sitting getting cold! Very frustrating when you're on a limited lunch break.
Robyn C — Google review
This place not worth your money. The stuff are extremely rude and takes forever to make your food. I wait for 40 minutes until they made my delivery order. some of my customers even canceled their order because of how much time they took to make it.

Australian restaurant
The Abbey, located in the Swan Valley, is a former stable with exposed beams that now serves as a casual dining spot offering Belgian beer and local wine. The venue is dog-friendly with an undercover area suitable for outdoor dining in winter. Visitors praise the friendly staff and delicious food, such as pork ribs and pumpkin quinoa salad. While some mention issues with their meals, overall it's described as a fantastic place with good prices and friendly service.
Went here for the first time today with the family. Everything was perfect. The garden was pretty, the inside cosy and very quiet (busy but noise reduced). Staff were all lovely, helpful and attentive. Our order was fast and no mistakes. Everyone loved the wings, my son got plain popcorn chicken with no spice or extras as he's fussier which he enjoyed. The burger was nice, chips crispy and delicious and the beef bowl was exactly what I hoped for. I can't wait to come back & bring more family & friends.
Kelly F — Google review
We came for dinner with our kids on a rainy winter night and were really impressed. Hearty and delicious winter food, Belgian beer and a nice warm fire gave a lovely ambiance. My wife and I shared half each of the fillet steak and the ricotta gnocchi. The gnocchi sauce was delicious and creamy; the steak perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.
Callum J — Google review
First time ever coming to The Abbey, did not disappoint. Specifically came to try the Sunday Roast in the giant Yorkshire Pudding and was pleasantly surprised at how well each component of the dish was cooked. Huge portion for an affordable price, perfect for a family outing. My kids aren't big on veggies, but they licked their plates clean!

Well it was just i had the seafood plater the muscles were cold and not in there shell... the fish barramundi was bland like it all ways is the chips was good..fish and chips for the boy fish was better than the one one my plater ..the wife had veggie raggow it was very rich in the suace...said it was ok

Beware coming here if you are after friendly service. I came here to treat my parents and enjoy good food and the atmosphere. When we arrived there our booking was entered for Saturday not Sunday. Everyone makes mistakes I understand. But still my Dad was made to feel it was his fault at first until the waitress with attitude said well it must of been her fault. We really didn’t mind and would have been happy to rebook. The seafood platters in general were average but I would have liked to of known that the muscles were going to be pickled , tasted like Tilly’s Muscles that you buy from supermarket and the salmon was very generic. Overall food was ok. I’ve been in the Hospitality industry for 25 years and know a paying customer does not need to see attitude from waitresses and get the food they are paying for. I hope this review is constructive for the Abbey.
David H — Google review
We came across this venue through a first table deal & we were thoroughly surprised. The girls; Brady & Bianca, who served us were very accommodating, friendly & informative of all wine & food. They checked in frequently, always smiling & just added a niceness to the experience. The atmosphere was chilled, peaceful & relaxing (was probably quieter than a busy lunch time though!) a great time to come in & dine. The food was cooked perfectly. Each dish we tried, we couldn't fault. The timing each course was bought out worked well, giving you room to eat without feeling rushed. We saw afew people getting the waffles & decided to try them as well. No regrets, they were soft, fluffy & warm, perfect combo. Pork belly was cooked & presented well. Barramundi was cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth. Risotto (special this week was chicken) flavoured well & very filling. Popcorn chicken: good amount of spice to sweet sticky sauce ratio. Haloumi sticks: the honey sauce, omg! Amazing Bbq pork belly tacos: flavoursome, fresh & just enough for an entree. Wine list is great, as is the beer paddle board, muly husband thoroughly enjoyed. We left feeling very full but very satisfied. A perfect place for an evening meal.

A delicious breakfast shared with my sister. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The staff were aware we were sharing and kindly per halved our waffle onto separate plates for serving. The staff were very friendly and welcomed fur babies with open arms. We will definitely go back.

Love the chocolate chips placed at the entrance! The ice cream we ordered were amazing! Love the unique flavours like macadamia, apple pie, and more! The amount given was super generous! Love this place! Super good for chocolate lovers! Is a must visit! You can buy souvenirs for people who love chocolate! Besides that, they have a shop that sells mustard, hot sauce and like other savoury things! The guy handling it was super friendly! Loved all the tasting we had! Super enjoyable

I ordered A dark hot chocolate with tasted decent, nothing extraordinary. However, the atmosphere was pretty peaceful, clean nice seating areas and a big lawn for kids to play, and I went on a sunny day so that was a plus. The Providore next door had some interesting jam, liquor and syrup.

They also offer free chocolate taste tests if you want to try their variety of chocolate. Definitely worth buying their good tasting products, although the products can be slightly pricy.

We took family that visited Perth for the first time here. Due to time constraints we didn’t get to take them to Margaret River, but we took them to this chocolate factory, which was amazing for them. There are chocolate buds for tasting, they are melt in your mouth chocolate buds- so yummy! I underrated it at first, but once you start you can’t stop. They have single artisan chocolates for sale and also ice cream, which was a hit for the kids. They have tables so if you wanted to have some coffee, you can grab a table to sit and chill, while others shop for chocolates ^_* It was great as my family bought some chocolates for gifts back home.

Valley Social is a vibrant brewery and restaurant located in the former Elmar's venue, boasting the largest glass micro-brewery kettle in the Southern Hemisphere. The spacious interior features wooden floors and three impressive bars, creating a lively atmosphere. The outdoor lawn area spans two acres and is ideal for large events such as Oktoberfest and Highland Games. Guests can savor smoky barbecue dishes paired with unique hemp-infused beers while enjoying live music under the stars.
OMG Pork ribs twice cooked and served on a board was bacon on steroids, they fell off the bone and melted in my mouth, the corn bread is very tasty as well. The food here exceeded my expectations 😋 I highly recommend trying the apple pie nachos — I’ve never had anything like it before. The sweet potato fries, calamari, and barramundi were also bangers. We came in a group of 8 without a reservation and were able to get a table, but I’d definitely suggest booking ahead to secure better seating.

Michael J — Google review
We went to Valley Social yesterday on a party bus and overall it was a lively and enjoyable place. The facilities are great for groups and parties. The venue is probably the best one for wine tours so I was looking forward to our time there. Unfortunately, during our visit in the tent area, my brother-in-law was punched by another patron. We were incredibly grateful for the staff who responded quickly and handled the situation with care and professionalism. They ensured he received the help he needed, and promptly called the ambulance. The punch had resulted in a broken jaw and requiring surgery. When we followed up, we were informed that the security cameras were not working. This was disappointing and concerning. With over 100 patrons coming and going, working security cameras are absolutely essential—not only for identifying individuals involved in incidents, supporting staff in managing situations, and protecting the safety of everyone on the premises. Cameras are a basic safety measure, especially in a venue of this size and popularity. We genuinely enjoyed many aspects of Valley Social and can appreciate the hard work of the team, but we strongly feel that ensuring functional security cameras should be made a priority for the safety and wellbeing of everyone who visits.

We came here for Father’s Day lunch and loved it! We had a big group and the food came out surprisingly quickly. Big portions of hearty delicious pub food. I ordered the ribs and there were 3 racks!! Loved it, shared it with my hubby and took the rest home. The servers were attentive and catered to all our needs, and my baby made a mess eating and the manager happily cleaned it all up in a jiffy! Overall, a wonderful lunch! 🥰

Located in Swan Valley, The House of Honey & The Sticky Spoon Cafe is a bustling spot within a honey farm. It offers an array of delectable treats such as Devonshire tea, coffee, cakes, and honey tastings. Visitors can also partake in educational tours to learn about bees and the honey-making process. Additionally, the adjacent meadery section provides an opportunity to sample delightful mead and honey liqueur.
This place changed my thought of the humble honey with its vast products all made from honey. I was so full from lunch already but that honey ice cream is a must eat!!!! The mead tasting was very nice and complimentary, shout out to the lovely Anke for her expertise and friendlyness which made us leave with 4 bottles of beverage. Highly recommend to drop by to sample some honey goodness!

The shop is cute and wide range of honey to taste. Good quality of honey. Just think that the tour could have been better and more informative if they could show more of the process.

It’s a good place to be on weekends just to drive around swan valley and walk into house of honey to have food and coffee. The have wide variety of honeys and you can taste and buy them , they also have mead and they taste super delicious. It could have been better if there was a guided tours to check how the honey is extracted from the combs

A honey shop selling a variety of honey with different flavours of honey to buy and try. They offer a free taste test for you to try the different varieties. There are many honey products, soap, and also desserts such as ice cream and honey cake to try. Worth visiting here, especially if you want to try different honey flavours.

I went to there on public holiday. Lots of tourists and visitors but easy to park. Lots of honey, sweets, drinks and wine. You can tasting too! Honey macadamia ice cream was so good. Terrace has a lot of tables and can enjoy coffee or meals with nice atmosphere.

Interesting place to visit - they have a staff standing in the middle of the shop to offer honey tasting to customers. Super friendly and helpful - it’s quite an experience. They even have a cafe that services coffee and pastries. Loved their scones. A nice stop in Swan Valley - highly recommended. Quite limited parking on site though.

A good location to visit during the day if in Perth. Lots of honey goods. Something different to experience. Located in Swan valley so lots of attractions near by. Overall a wonderful experience for me and my family.

The House of Honey & The Sticky Spoon Café is a lovely spot in Swan Valley with a lot to offer — especially for honey lovers. The setting is rustic and peaceful, surrounded by native bushland, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The honey tasting experience was the clear highlight of our visit. The variety was exceptional — from creamed to infused honey — and the staff were knowledgeable and generous with samples. We ended up purchasing several jars, and it’s clear that a lot of care and passion goes into their honey. The café food and coffee were generally good. The regular menu items were enjoyable, and the coffee was well brewed. However, a few issues held back the experience from being a full five stars. First, the gluten-free food was disappointing. I tried the ham and cheese sandwich and the scone, and both were underwhelming. The textures were dense, dry, and unappealing, and the flavors didn’t come together well. I appreciated that gluten-free options were available, but unfortunately, the execution needs serious improvement. Second, the entire café is outdoors, with no indoor seating available. This made the visit quite uncomfortable during winter — it was very cold, and there was no adequate heating provided. Some form of outdoor heaters or sheltered seating would go a long way in making the space more pleasant in colder months. Lastly, cleanliness could be improved. The cutlery containers were noticeably dirty, and we found cobwebs near the water dispenser area, which was off-putting. The baby chairs were also placed in an unsheltered outdoor area, and bird droppings and other stains. While the overall environment is charming and rustic, basic hygiene standards need more attention. That said, the staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the honey store was outstanding. This place has great potential, and with a few improvements in food quality, heating, and cleanliness, it could easily become a five-star destination. I’d still recommend a visit — especially for the honey — but with a few caveats for those coming in winter or with dietary needs.

Mondo Nougat is an Italian nougat factory and shop located in Australia, offering a variety of homemade biscotti, gelato, and cakes at its casual cafe. The place provides a wide range of nougat flavors, combinations, and packings that make for great souvenirs or gifts. Visitors can enjoy free tastings before making a purchase and even receive a complimentary pack on purchases over $100.
Stopped by Mondo Nougat in Swan Valley for their famous nougat yesterday —and Mauro truly stole the show. This friendly, bubbly gentleman greeted us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, making our visit memorable. From serving us behind the counter for the sweet bakes + drinks order to packing up our bulk order into a nicely secured carton box, his service wasn’t just impeccable—it felt deeply personal. If you're in Perth and craving sweet bites or nougat gifts, Mondo Nougat is definitely the place to be. And if Mauro’s behind the counter, your experience just gets that much sweeter! Thank you so much, Mauro! A happy and grateful tourist couple from Singapore❤️

Mondo Nougat is my ultimate destination whenever I want to have authentic fresh Nougat or buy gifts. I was welcomed by the very cheerful & kind "Mauro". He is always friendly & happy to help with whatever you need to buy. He is a gem at this place & should get recognised for his awesome sales skills. I have been coming here regularly over the past 2 years & the Nougat quality is always at its peak without any compromise. My favourites are the soft Vanilla, Almond & Honey, and Pistachio with Almond. Also, I tried their Nougat spread and it was super delicious! I can't recommend it enough, as it is quite hidden and hard to spot between all Nougat packages in the store. Their caramelised nuts packages are also so fresh and delicious for quick snacks at home or work. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you need the best Nougat in WA & make sure to meet Mauro as he will take very good care of you! See you next time.

A nougat shop selling a variety of homemade nougats. The nougat taste great, well flavoured, soft texture, and not overly sweet. They have many selection of different nougat flavours, such as coffee, salted caramel, and more. There are also different nuts used in each nougat flavours, such as pistachio and macadamia. Definitely recommend visiting here as their nougat taste great.

We visited Mondo Nougat and Morish Nuts and had such a wonderful experience! At Mongo Nougat, their Cranberry Pistachio is absolutely delicious, a must-try! 💖 The staff were so kind, Aceline even surprised my sister-in-law with a mini cake for her birthday. At Morish Nuts, her twin Agatha also gave us free nuts, and their Wasabi Macadamias are super tasty! The looks like the owner? (who looks like Lady Gaga), was very warm and generous. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality! 🙏

Very disappointing experience at Mondu Nougat. We came in to order ice cream and were served by a lady at the counter who didn’t greet us, didn’t listen, and had a rude attitude. I honestly felt she was being racist towards us. The way she treated us was different from how she interacted with others. It left us feeling really uncomfortable and unwelcome. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.

The shop we went to was in Perth. Very nice and spacious and spanking clean. I love the layouts and the two antique cars they used in the earlier years. The nougats are fresh and there is a wide variety to choose from. Best thing is you get to sample the nougats before you buy. You can also go there for refreshments in it's in house cafeteria.

Taylors In The Valley is a serene cafe with an art gallery and outdoor seating under gum trees. It's known for its seasonal brunch dishes, including the popular Samboy Fried Chicken Waffles. The restaurant offers a beautiful outdoor area and spacious indoor space adorned with quaint artworks. Additionally, there's a charming veggie garden on-site. Guests can expect friendly and accommodating staff, as well as vegan and vegetarian menu options.
No complaints. Food was amazing, staff were so lovely and the place was nice and cozy! We got the apple crumble pancakes which were to die for! And some other vegetarian dishes which were delicious. Definitely will be back!

My first time at Taylors and found it lovely. Cosy setup with a warm ambience. It is lovely to see how they designed the place with all the barn like features. It has a beautiful rustic deco. Make a reservation before going as it gets crowded especially over the weekend. The service crew were delightful. Polite and service oriented. The cheese burger is a winner! Hope they get their alcho license soon as it would have been amazing to have some Champaign or Prosecco as it would have complimented the menu. Take a walk next door and get a merchandise at The Barn after your meal. Easy parking options.

Came here in the morning and luckily we made a prior booking online as it was quite busy! The overall ambiance of the place was cozy and cute, with a warm wooden and rustic interior, and a nice garden outside. Wait time for our food was a little bit long, but understandable since they were busy. Food was nicely plated, but were pretty pricey for the average taste, with one of the poached eggs being overcooked and the "chilli scrambled eggs" tasting a bit too sweet, with little to no spice or sambal flavour that was advertised. Unfortunately, the two long, dark-haired servers that served our drinks and food were also not very friendly. Neither said a word and both looked at us like they didn't want to be there. Didn't say hi or even ask what our orders were, simply stood and stared at us indifferently until we said our orders, even though we did see and hear them speak to some other customers when serving. Even when we smiled and said thank you, one in particular just shrugged and later, when she took our plates, didn't even ask us if we were done nor looked at us, just cleared our plates loudly seeming a bit annoyed. Though the first two front staff members at (host with glasses & lady at service counter) were kind and lovely, the indifference and hostility from the latter two servers brought down our overall experience. I understand if perhaps they may have been under pressure due to the busy time, however even just a little politeness goes a long way and we felt a bit discriminated against. Overall, place was nice, front staff were friendly, food was okay but bit pricey, albeit the rude table service being quite disappointing. Probably would rather try other places if we were to be back in the area.

Staff friendly. Breakfast was delicious with an asian touch. Rustic and lovely environment. Ordered the samboy waffle and pulled pork benny. The chicken on the waffles was crunch and moist. The sauces was a mix of sweet and savoury which was prefect.

Olive P — Google review
I have visited Taylor's several times because the food is generally great. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Ordering at the counter is incredibly slow, especially on weekends. Standing in line feels like watching paint dry. Given the number of staff roaming around, introducing table service could really improve the experience. Most disappointing were my last two visits around 12:30 pm. On the first visit, I was told they had run out of food—an unusual and frustrating experience. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, when I returned the NEXT day at the same time, the response was worse: "We’ve run out of everything except cakes, and only takeaway coffee is available." When I asked why, the explanation was that a large group had arrived, making them too busy. While that may be true, it doesn’t excuse the lack of food for other customers. This is a business, and it’s disappointing and embarrassing when guests are brought to try a place only to find very limited options. I understand the kitchen might close around 1:30 pm, but food should still be available at 1pm!!!!! This experience needs urgent improvement to meet reasonable customer expectations.

The atmosphere and service was lovely. But the chili scramble egg doesn’t taste any sambal in there, coffee a bit disappointed.

It’s a must-visit spot in Swan Valley for chocolate lovers and those seeking a fun and relaxing outing. Highly recommended!

- Plenty of free parking. - Apart from various chocolate products, it's packed with a lot of inedible souvenirs. There are 2 huge chocolate arts displayed on the right side. Friendly staff. You can ask the front desk staff for tasting (limited flavors) before you buy. Some shelves were empty and hadn't refilled for a while. A free bag if purchase >$100. Resonable prices of chocolate (cheaper than other chocolate company in the same region for same flavors). - Café is inside. Causal setting. Slightly packed indoors. Or outdoor dining, there is a large lawn with a sand pit and toys. Good place for family and large group gatherings. F&B: Simple Brekky and desserts menu. Chocolate fondue is available. Aceptable prices. - Breakfast Wrap,$16.95, served with tomato sauce - Filo Chicken & Mushroom,$16.95: served with Salad (Italian dressing): creamy filling. - Premium Hot Chocolate, $6/Regular: with 2 marshmallows. Very rich but very sweet. Sweeter than usual milk chocolate. - Iced Chocolate, $8.2: with 1 scoop of melting ice cream.

The estate also serves as a picturesque wedding and event venue with its rolling vineyards and rural heritage atmosphere. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, the team at Sandalford Wines is dedicated to ensuring a stress-free and memorable experience in the Swan Valley.
After visiting several Swan Valley wineries, Sandalford Wines clearly stands out as one of the most established in Perth's oldest wine region. Founded in 1840, this iconic estate is an expansive vineyard set amongst sprawling lawns and manicured gardens, all just a 25-minute drive from the city. The wine tasting area blends sleek, elegant style with a distinctly warm ambiance. In addition to the stylishly presented wines, the space features a curated selection of meticulously displayed accessories for sale. It was simply the best winery we visited on the day.

Our family loves exploring and indulging in fine dining experiences, especially during life’s special moments and milestones. We always make it a point to savour these occasions together, creating lasting memories. Sandalford never disappoints — it consistently exceeds our high expectations with exceptional service, delicious food, and stunning views. This year alone, we’ve celebrated two meaningful occasions there: my husband’s birthday and Father’s Day. Each visit has been nothing short of memorable, leaving us with cherished moments as a family. The staff are always warm and welcoming, and the quality of the food is outstanding. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

Sandalford Wines is our ‘go-to, home away from home’ for all things food, wine & an exceptional time! There are all the typical cliched comments of a good restaurant review which I won’t use, as Sandalford far exceeds any of them. So here goes… There’s a genuine warmth and honest hospitality amongst the Sandalford Family (the word ‘staff’ does not adequately describe the beautiful individuals whose sole responsibility it is to ensure that your experience is second to none!) An atmospheric embrace wraps around you like a warm hug throughout your dining experience and this combined with the rustically curated decor, truly embodies and reflects the heart of the Swan Valley. Seasonal Symphonies of Culinary Alchemy see simple ingredients transformed into extraordinary dishes that challenge traditional pairings and ignite a true umami experience. (the title of ‘Executive Chef’ does not truly describe Alan Spagnolo. I prefer to think of him as a Culinary Maestro leading a number of brilliant virtuosos in a gastronomical dance) Wines that display nuanced flavour profiles and textural elegance & cocktails that are a sensory adventure. Just sublime. I’ll leave it here. Make your next gourmet date at Sandalford Wines. You will be glad that you did!

The Silver Oak Indian Restaurant & Cafe offers an authentic Indian dining experience with delicious cuisine and a friendly atmosphere. The new owner is dedicated to providing great service, and the menu features a variety of flavorful dishes. Customers have praised the polite and efficient service, as well as the tasty channa masala and chicken madras. While some mention that the atmosphere could be improved, overall it's a recommended spot for those looking to enjoy delicious Indian food in a welcoming setting.
We were travelling back home with a kid and an infant after a vacation stay down south. Our infant was very unsettled and we were trying to get back home as soon as possible. Anyway, this place had its kitchen open even at 9.30pm which was amazing because we were driving non stop and by the time we reached there we were tired, famished and really needed the break. The food was nice though more to the spicy side. But the lady who looked after us was really helpful. She helped us wash our infant's milk bottle and heat up water for his milk. They stayed open until late. Also we paid upfront but needed more containers than 1 to take the leftovers home (they usually charge for more than 1) but she waived that off for us. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. My husband and my daughter have been here twice before and loved the food. Anyway we are really glad we stopped by yesterday night. Thank you guys for all your help and the wonderful experience!

A bit hidden and name does not reflect an Indian Restaurant. Service is very friendly and prompt. Venue used to be a smokehouse with the floor all tiled and has a cold atmosphere. When busy it gets very noisy as the sounds just bounce off the hard surfaces. Food is fresh and the Chilli Chicken dish is good in both taste & portion. The other dishes taste ok but portions are on the small side compared to the Indian literally up the road. Nice to have another Indian eatery option in the Swan Valley

Attended Black Swan as a party of 4 on a Saturday evening in March 2025. Shared entrée of Spiced Cashew Nuts, Garlic Ciabatta, Freshly Shucked Oysters (natural and mignonette). All items tasted so fresh and wonderful Mains: Prawn and Scallop Ravioli, Grilled NT Humpty Doo Barramundi, Margaret River Wagyu Rump, Grilled Prawns. No complaints here, very tasty!! Dessert: Truffle Cheddar cheeseboard, Crème Brûlée, Cheesecake, With Chia Lattes and Black tea. Drinks: SB wine, Cocktails, Black Swan Port. The food was very well cooked and a delight to eat. The service overall was just okay. For the four tables, guests, and number of staff, I would have expected better. We waited for the first drink order of cocktails (over 20 minutes). When we ordered dessert, we said we'd order hot drinks after. The waitress said, “Oh, they are shutting the coffee machine down (it was only just after 8!!!!) so we had to have the hot drinks at the same time as dessert - it felt like we were being rushed out. We would have probably ordered more hot drinks and another round of port (which was so good, BTW) if it weren't for feeling like we had to leave - which we did at 9 p.m. Importantly, the food was really good and worth coming again based on that!

We had : - Batter Fried Squid Soft, tender and well cooked, the squid were seasoned well, with the thai salad cutting through, introducing zest and freshness to the dish. - Garlic Bread For mains it was : - Lamb Rump The Lamb had good flavour but seemed a bit dry. The fondant potatoes, carrot and puree were a pleasant addition adding another layer of texture to the mix, but didn't really lift it beyond mediocrity. - Surf and Turf The steak was a bit rough, while the prawns quite bland, a very average dish. - Chocolate Bavarian, poached pair, cocoa crumble and chocolate ice cream A lovely desert, with a spectrum of textures sowed into the dish. The soft chocolate ice cream was smooth with the poached pair and the cocoa crumble pairing well.

Food always good here. Appeared a little short staffed last night but still great service. We went early so fairly quiet atmosphere. Maybe a little live entertainment be good. Gorgeous view.

We had a great time here, it wasn't busy during lunchtime on a Thursday. The French waiter was great, he was chatty, pleasant and always made sure we were happy. The food came quickly - maybe about 20 minutes for eight of us. The barramundi I had was very nice, nice texture, nice crunchy skin. The steamed kale with olive oil was cooked beautifully, I don't think I've had better kale in my life. The rest of the family were happy with their meals. The kids meals were a nice size - great for my monsters. Also had the calamari starter, didn't really want to share with anyone else, it was that good! Haha!

We had a very enjoyable dining experience. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Charlie was so lovely serving us throughout the meals. Every single meal we ordered were beautifully presented and most of all delicious. We were able to enjoy our meals with a gorgeous view to the winery. Highly recommended.

Shared a dinner with my beautiful girlfriend. We had the shared platter for entree. It was beautifully presented and had a delicious range of flavours and foods to share. I then had the duck for main, and my girlfriend the Fillet steak. Once again both were beautifully presented, and the food was cooked to perfection, and tasted divine. The service was impeccable with the wait staff being very attentive. All in all a wonderful evening. We will be back and will recommend to our friends

This is a gem! Loved the vibes. An astounding coffee roaster in the Swan valley, selling not only coffee but tea as well. Staffs super friendly & showed great hospitality. Coffee tasting was complimentary & after the tasting I bought 2 packs of ground coffee home for daily fixes. Go for Kwik & X-rated, bold & fragrant! Would love to drop by again for coffee!

I ordered one drink and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. Thankfully, I had my camera with me and used the time to snap some photos of the area. Sometimes a slow moment turns into an unexpected opportunity to enjoy the surroundings. The drink, when it arrived, was well made — worth the wait.

Very nice feeling over breakfast. Nice privacy but limited seating. Price ok n superb coffee. Limited breakfast option too. Importantly they have coffee tasting for free. We picked the coffee based on the counter n was superb.

Quality coffee, great location and atmosphere. They roast their coffee on premises and have many coffee related items in their shop. Barrista training room and so much more. A haven for coffee lovers in Perth.
