Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery is a must-visit destination for chocolate and ice cream enthusiasts. This renowned spot showcases the artistry of Belgian and French chocolatiers who craft over 150 varieties of gourmet chocolates. Visitors can enjoy complimentary tastings and even witness the chocolatiers at work.
A High Tea Treat! When my partner and I saw that the @Yarra Valley Chocolaterie now had a 2pm availability for a High Tea there, we thought we could finally go to a session. (For different reasons we couldn't make the 11am sessions previously.) So we planned & went to a High Tea last Saturday, with much curiosity and enthusiasm. Upon arrival, there was a beautiful set-up and attention to detail, like with the lovely menu and the fancy table setting. During the session, there was a nice brief chat from one of the pastry chefs, with a Q & A session that was interesting and didn't go for too long. The quality of both the savoury and the sweet foods we sampled was high. We couldn't fault the foods or drinks - they were all delicious! I liked the real hot chocolate with cup of melted milk chocolate made there at the Chocolaterie, as well as the English Breakfast leaf tea. My favourite savoury foods were the * poached prawn blini, taramosalata, dill, and * beetroot macaron, whipped goat's cheese, peppered fig. My favourite sweet treats were the * raspberry milk chocolate macaron, and * triple choc brownie. We both felt that the price we paid was good value, especially as we were able to take home the many leftovers that we couldn't consume there (we were so full). Afterwards, we both agreed we would go again, but maybe in about a year's time, when the menu might change, so we could try other items too. Thank you to all those involved, for such an enjoyable & memorable experience at the #Yarra Valley Chocolaterie! See you next time! Cathy & Peter

The chocolaterie is beautifully decorated with a lovely atmosphere, the food in the cafe is very well presented as well. We didn’t get any chocolates in the shop but the mousse with chocolate frogs was adorable and delicious. It’s lovely how it came with hot melted chocolate. The meal of chips and popcorn chicken was also very cute, it came in a cow design box and the food was tasty. If you order a fridge drink they also bring out a glass with ice instead of just the bottle which is nice. It was also great to sit down and order the food with the digital menu and the waitresses are very kind and bring out your meal politely. A lovely day out! I recommend a visit.

I had the fish and chips from the cafe which came with a generous serving of beautiful crispy chips and a side of salad. The dipping sauce for the fish was really nice as was the dressing for the salad. The fish was also finely battered and crispy. We also had a gigantic scone which was big enough to share and a macadamia nut cheesecake. I had a small pot of English breakfast tea. We came at 12pm on a Thursday during school holidays and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. We managed to snag a table for two with a window view after waiting a little bit longer for some patrons to leave. All in all, it was a perfect lunch spot. It was very busy and the staff were run off their feet serving food, drinks and cleaning tables. Some staff were friendlier than others. Re the chocolateria side of the business, there's a lot of choices and many different forms of merchandise with a chocolate theme. I got a pack of chocolate pastilles and a brownie making kit.

Yarra Glen and the wider Yarra Valley are among the most beautiful and relaxing destinations in Victoria. This region perfectly blends natural beauty, local charm, and incredible food and wine experiences. The rolling hills, scenic vineyards, and peaceful countryside views make it a great escape from the busy city. It’s an easy drive from Melbourne, and once you arrive, the fresh air and open landscapes immediately make you feel calm and refreshed. The Yarra Valley is best known for its world-class wineries, and Yarra Glen has some of the finest. Many of them offer wine tastings, cellar-door experiences, and stunning outdoor seating where you can enjoy a glass while overlooking the vineyards. Beyond the wine, there are also excellent cafés, restaurants, and bakeries serving local produce and delicious meals. Every spot feels friendly and welcoming, with a strong community spirit and great service everywhere you go. For nature lovers, the area offers beautiful walking and cycling trails, with plenty of picnic areas and scenic lookouts. The Yarra Glen Racecourse and local markets are also worth visiting, giving you a real taste of country life and local culture. The wildlife, especially the birds and kangaroos, adds an authentic Australian touch to the experience. Accommodation options range from cozy cottages and farm stays to luxury retreats, making it perfect for weekend getaways or day trips. Overall, Yarra Glen and the Yarra Valley are must-visit destinations for anyone who loves nature, good food, and peaceful countryside charm. Every visit feels refreshing, and it’s a place you’ll always want to come back to.

The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie is clearly a popular and high-traffic destination for most visitors to the Yarra Valley area. It is a worthwhile stop, and the location offers good scenery around the grounds. I opted for the chocolate tasting experience, the staff provided testers with detailed description of their chocolate varieties. The retail area is extensive, selling a huge selection of chocolates, ranging from truffles and bars to unique novelties, as well as local honey and a dedicated ice cream counter. A unique feature is the impressive 1-meter chocolate bar display. Overall, it's a very busy but recommended spot for a sweet treat and a break during a valley trip. There's also a restaurant with ample seating for you to have brunch/lunch.

The place was quite busy, so we had to wait in a queue to get a seat, but it was well worth it. We tried the Pit Master Burger, Chicken Parma, Real Hot Chocolate, and the Choccamochachino. The food overall was good, and the stunning views made the visit even more enjoyable. The highlight for me was definitely the Choccamochachino hands down the best thing I had there! Perfectly rich and smooth. A great spot to relax, enjoy delicious food, and take in the Yarra Valley scenery

If you are big fan of chocolate, then this is the best place for you to visit. The variety of chocolate products available here is massive. Retail section can take you easily an hour to browse through and they also have delicious ice cream station. Plenty of parking available, even for mini buses.
Mcx M — Google review
This hilltop chocolate wonderland practically oozes Willy Wonka vibes. The main attraction is a massive gift shop with every kind of chocolate product you could imagine. The cafe has incredible views of the nearby hills and vineyards, and serves surprisingly good pizza for a chocolate factory. My friend that I finished our visit off with a delicious iced chocolate, and left well satisfied.

Zonzo Estate Yarra Valley is a charming Italian restaurant offering traditional cuisine in a spacious setting with a cozy fireplace and stunning vineyard views. The menu features classic Italian dishes like wood-fired pizza, arancini, meatballs, and gnocchi, as well as delectable desserts including affogato, panna cotta, tiramisu, and cannoli. Families can enjoy the kids' menu while taking in the picturesque countryside views.
Quite a bustling restaurant here in the Yarra Valley area. Nothing much to see here during the winter period. The restaurant is pretty big but still fills up on a weekday lunch. The food here is not bad, we had pizza and pasta and honestly they were quite good. We paired it with a glass of wine and also som oysters for starter. The oysters are fresh and decently sized. I will recommend to make reservations before coming. And although the vineyard looks bare during winter, the outdoor is still great for photos

We had an incredible anniversary lunch at Zonzo Estate. We ordered the sharing menu, which was delicious, incredibly filling and definitely worth the price. A special shout out to Hudson, whose positive energy was radiating. He was welcoming and made the experience an enjoyable one.

First place on my list whenever going for a winery day trip. Beautiful views, amazing services, well maintenance overall, pizza and pasta are highly recommended. Just one hour driving from Melbourne. Close to chocolate factory and plants nursery - worthy to pass by after the meal. Some charges were taken from credit card for table reserves.

I really enjoyed my experience. Hudson is the man! He made it pleasant enough for me to remember before even the food was served. For those who enjoy seafood ISH taste, I will totally recommend the anchovies pizza! I was kinda sad that my last bite :') The pork sausage pizza was decent. Strong with herbs taste. Hudson, thanks for connecting and relating to customers! ❤️❤️❤️

We had such a fantastic experience at Zonzo Estate! The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were just as impressive, everything was fresh, well presented, and full of flavour. The atmosphere was beautiful and added to the whole experience. A special shoutout to Hudson, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His attentiveness, warm personality, birthday song and genuine care made our visit extra memorable. Thanks for making it such a wonderful day, we’ll definitely be back!

Yering Station Winery, established in 1838, is a luxurious destination featuring a blend of modern and historic buildings. The property was acquired by the Rathbone family in 1996 and is home to Yarrabank. The winery complex handles Yarrabank sparkling and Yering Station table wines, making it a focal point of the Yarra Valley. Additionally, the historic Chateau Yering offers luxury accommodation and fine dining next door.
We got married at Yering Station in 2012 and it was spectacular. Could not recommend it highly enough. But today we went back for lunch to show our kids this incredible place 13 years after our wedding. The meal was amazing and the serves generous. The view and atmosphere are stunning. We had so much fun just hanging out after lunch - it was 5pm so we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the cellar door was open until 6pm. We went in for a tasting. WOW! The wines were so much better than we remembered, but even more wonderful was the experience. The beautiful staff not only made us feel welcome, they completely spoiled us with our tasting, bringing out a bottle of Chardonnay from the year we were married to taste then really engaging with us talking all things wine and life. The wines were delicious, the service was even better. Obviously we signed up for the wine family (which was more than worth it!). Thank you Yering Station for making my Mother’s Day celebration so special this year x

Wine tasting and lunch at Yering Station was one of the highlights of our Melbourne trip. I was delighted to try some delicious red wines and enjoy a wonderful lunch there. The beautiful surroundings, elegant décor, and friendly staff make it an outstanding restaurant and winery. Highly recommend.
Chin T — Google review
I was really excited for this one. We went for the wine tasting on a beautiful sunny day, the kind of weather that makes you want to be outdoors enjoying the view. Unfortunately, the tasting itself takes place indoors in a fairly dim room with very little natural light, which felt like a real shame. With such gorgeous surroundings outside, it seemed like a missed opportunity to create something special. During the tasting, four different staff members poured for us. Three of them asked what we had already been served, which made the whole experience feel a bit disorganized and not as smooth or welcoming as I was hoping for. The wine pours also felt quite small -more like a sip than a proper tasting- and I think most people would agree after seeing the photo I’ve attached. Inside, the décor follows a pop-art theme with Andy Warhol replicas. Normally, I appreciate that style, but here it felt completely unrelated to wine, wine tasting, or the heritage of the vineyard. Instead of enhancing the atmosphere, it actually worked against the rustic, old-world vibe that the place itself naturally carries. That said, the outdoor area is stunning. The grounds are well kept, with a beautiful grassy area out front and a lovely lookout point that really makes you stop and take it in. It honestly left me thinking how perfect it would be if the wine tasting were moved outdoors, perhaps with a small kiosk or bar set up in the middle of the lawn. With the sunshine, scenery, and a glass in hand, that would transform the experience into something unforgettable.

You can't fault much here. The service, food and atmosphere is exceptional. However, there was a fault in the steak option that I paid extra for on top of what my parents had already paid for a 3-course meal. It might not seem like a big deal, but since I asked specifically for "true medium rare", not medium, which it ended up exactly being on my plate, that was disappointing, being such a high quality piece of meat. Other than that, it was an amazing lunch, and had me bursting at the seams. I could have just had the pork belly entree and pistachio dessert and been satisfied.

Had a great meal at Yering station. Great service beautiful views great menu and flavours. Everyone enjoyed every dish. Loved my prawn entree. The fish main was perfect. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Front of house Trixie was very professional. Wines were great. Deserts were delicious. Highly recommend will def return.
The G — Google review
We had a very odd and dissapointing experience at the restaurant. We had booked lunch using a luxury escape voucher which included a main, choice of wine and two shared sides. The only positive was how well cooked the meats were and how tasty the wine was. Other than that, our experience was very strange. The strangest part or our experience was the use of potato off cuts in our roasted potato side - see picture below. I have never before seen potato fondant off cuts and bits of potato eye served to guests. It's really incomprehensible and unappetising. We ended up leaving the potato dish. The salad was also quite terrible - it literally looked like a Coles pre chopped salad mix that was topped with a few sprigs of dill and some goats cheese. The leaves were barely dressed and very plain tasting. Onto the main meals, which ended up being quite odd as well. The cuts of meat were very tasty and well seasoned. The biggest negative was the random pastry basket served with the pork and holding chopped apple. The basket was pale, undercooked and soggy. It didn't really add anything to the dish. The duck dish was also a bit odd with an undercooked cannelloni filled with pulled duck and cabbage. This was bland and underseasoned also. While both dishes looked pretty, they left much to be desired and not worth the cost or effort. Overall, we would not be back and we wouldn't recommend to others. There are much better choices in the Yarra Valley (and much better luxury escape deals as well). Be warned.

Beautiful Vinyard with celler door and restaurant. Simple elegant feels with vase space. We went to cellar door to get a cheese platter and a glass of wine as we arrived too early for our lunch booking. There are a small number of outside table for you to enjoy the cheese board and wine and it was super delicious. The celler door staff was super friendly and professional, compared to my recent visit to Pt.Leo celler door where staff would just ignored you. We then moved to the restaurant after we finished the cheese board. Lovely open space in the restaurant area with glass wall from floor to ceiling open to the landscape! I was going to do the 3 courses and finish with dessert to share with my partner but the food size was really substantial I was way too full and couldn't even finish my fish main. 😞 My entree of scallops with bacon was so good, a little too much of pumpkin. The barramundi with eels mashed was very tasty as well, but also feel like there are too many things on the plates. Overall I enjoyed my food. My husband entree was great but the main is a little bland. Definitely recommend the cellar door for wine tasting and cheese platter for chill out outdoor on a good sunny day 😎🌞

CHANDON Australia, located in the Yarra Valley, stands out for its grand building and extensive selection of sparkling wines. Established in 1989 as part of Moet en Chandon's expansion strategy, it offers a unique French-inspired wining and dining experience. The winery boasts a large tasting room with a semicircular bar serving red, white, and sparkling wines for AUD$5 per tasting.
Wine was excellent. We took tasting experience. 3 different wines for 1 person. Sparkling wine was very good. Tastes rich, with very beautiful view. Service was really great. Staffs were friendly. Food was good. Although I expect more. Place in general was good, clean, and blessed with a heavenly view.

We accidentally stopped by Chandon Australia on our way to somewhere in the mountains, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The views are absolutely stunning—feels like you pay hundreds but get a million-dollar experience. The architecture is beautiful and really adds to the atmosphere. The staff were all extremely friendly and provided superb service throughout our visit. We didn’t have a meal there since we were still full from lunch, but we did buy some wine to take home. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

We went to wine tasting on Friday. It was cold winter outside, but the staff at tasting room he welcomed us with warming smiles;) He was very informative and little charm. All sparkling wine were very excellent especially red sparkling was something unusual. We didn’t have lunch but we will plan to come back in warmer season. Thank you for lively service.

I am so glad we chose to visit Chandon. It offers a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere with consistently great service. We thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food and wine selections, all enhanced by the stunning views of the grape farms. This is a place I definitely should have visited one more time if I could have.

The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were super accommodating. I really enjoyed the empanadas and the cold cuts—both were full of flavor. The wine was amazing, but the desserts didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Still, a great spot overall!😊

First thing first, when I stepped into Chandon Australia, I actually thought I walked into an Asian wedding venue. Not even joking. I guess the crowd on that day just made it feel like I was back in Asia. Maybe because this place has gotten a bit too commercialised. It has that polished setup that feels like it was made for group tours and social media moments. But let’s talk about the food and drinks. I had the cheese fondue, and honestly, that was a very good choice. The texture was creamy, the flavours were rich, and it paired really well with their champagne. I did not expect that to be the highlight of my visit but it really was. Ambiance wise, it was beautiful. Big open views, nicely designed interiors, and plenty of space to sit and enjoy your drink without feeling rushed. You can tell they know people are coming for the photos just as much as the wine. Service was okay. Not bad but also not very personal. I guess that is what happens when a place gets too popular. Would I come back again? Maybe. Probably on a quieter weekday. It is still a lovely spot and the wine is no doubt good. But if you are hoping for something boutique and laid back, you might not get that here. Still, for a first visit with cheese fondue and champagne in hand, I would say it was a good afternoon out.

Chandon Winery is absolutely stunning 💫 a perfect mix of breathtaking views, beautiful grounds, and exceptional sparkling wine. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it such a lovely place to spend an afternoon. The tastings are a highlight, with each glass showcasing incredible quality, and the food is just as impressive. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit winery in the Yarra Valley. 🥂🍇✨

Yarra Valley Dairy is a renowned destination in the Yarra Valley, known for its fine artisan cheeses. The dairy offers a wide selection of high-quality cheeses that are perfect for pairing with the region's famous wines. Visitors can indulge in a delightful high tea experience featuring ribbon sandwiches and other delectable treats. Additionally, the area is home to several other attractions such as wineries, bakeries, and small towns worth exploring, making it an ideal destination for food and wine enthusiasts.
As you walk through the rather unassuming entry you are immediately struck by the amazing smell of cheese. The dairy shop is well organised and well priced. One of the best things is that the staff are incredibly friendly and willing to chat and answer questions on cheese making. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable. We enjoyed the $5 cheese tasting (4 cheeses), which was delicious and generous. A $15 tasting is also available (10 cheeses). We were determined not to purchase, however the tasting was so good, we left laden with cheese and delicious takeaway cheese cake. They have an amazing menu for lunch as well. If you are in the Yarra, this place is a must for a visit. BLESSED are the CHEESE MAKERS!

My first-ever cheese tasting and it was AMAZING! 🧀 We got to try 10 cheeses for just $15/pp – such a good deal! The staff were super friendly and explained everything so well. Loved exploring their little shop full of boards, cheese cutters, spreads & more. We grabbed a milkshake + a super strong caramel latte (hello, caffeine kick ☕️), and also tried the cheesecake and their famous brie hotpot. You HAVE to try the chili brie hotpot – it’s next-level delicious!

Yarra Valley Dairy offers excellent service and great coffee. However, the shop layout could use some improvement for a better customer experience. The cheese prices are quite high — up to $15 for just 100g — while some of the same cheeses can be found in other supermarkets for half the price.

Went for the cheese tasting and of course it was incredible. Unfortunately it is heavy with the the goats cheese (not a fan personally) so I could only try a few but so happy and very unique cheeses. Very kind and knowledgeable staff. They have some great condiments which would have been good if there was samples, I believe they would sell more if there was samples. Thank you!

Eleonore's Restaurant at Chateau Yering offers a modern Australian fine dining experience within the historic walls of an 1850s building. The restaurant boasts plush, old-world decor and stunning vineyard views. Executive Chef Mark Ebbels curates five-course tasting menus featuring dishes like suckling pig with eel, apple, and shiitake. The venue also provides options for omnivores and vegans, with sommeliers expertly pairing wines with each dish.
Wonderful dinner! The flavours were well balanced and light, ingredients fresh and curated. Yering wine, excellent! The portions were perfect, had the three course with a side and we cleaned our plate. Visited for valentines and the team made the night feel very special. Mussel and crab entree 11/10. The pork was nicely cooked, recommend. We were seated in Phil’s section and he was an absolute delight.

Every dish we had was well-balanced and delicious - kudos to the chef for the passion they put into each dish to make it shine. The venue exuded romance, and for those who appreciate high-quality food made with locally sourced produce, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Have been going to Eleanore’s Restaurant for our last 2 years Christmas work parties. Yesterday we tried the lunch for a farewell to a colleague. Service has always been fantastic, the staff go above and beyond. The food is always sensational and the presentation is amazing. We love the atmosphere and the chairs are super comfy. The ambience is cozy and you can hear everyone at the table without having to shout. Having coffee by the fireplace in the lounge after lunch just topped off our experience. No doubt we will be back again for our Christmas party and we can’t wait.

We really enjoy our experiences at Eleonore's Restaurant, and return often. The food is delicious and the staff are always so friendly and attentive. I like that the historic house has been kept in its true style, and it feels like you are dining in old world luxury

Firstly its It's such a beautiful place to have High Tea. The whole team were great, all so very nice. Great service. The food was delicious, the savoury pieces were nice, the small sweets were fabulous and the scones were great all with the great view of outside was nice. The decor inside was elegant. Our weekend away ended with a beautiful feed, how else would you like it to end. Oh yes I forgot, they also surprised us with a small desert piece for out 50th birthday celebration.

Chateau Yering Hotel is a refined property housed in a Victorian mansion, offering an elegant restaurant, old-world lounges, and beautiful gardens. Situated on a 250-acre estate overlooking the Yarra River, this heritage property dating from 1854 provides tranquil and romantic accommodation in the heart of the Yarra Valley. The hotel features 32 suites, each uniquely decorated with antique furniture and fine art, along with marble ensuite bathrooms and private balconies.
We loved our recent stay at Chateau Yering Hotel. Our room was very spacious, clean and very quiet. The TV was quite small but not a significant issue. The service was perfect. All staff were helpful, kind and knowledgeable, particularly during dinner with the wines. Our 3 course dinner was delicious. All sitting rooms were stunning and the location is perfect with such amazing views. We enjoyed breakfast in the café both mornings. Thank you for a memorable stay

What a phenomenal spot! Stopped in for a wine tasting and was absolutely blown away — the team was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic. They even opened a 2014 estate Chardonnay, which was an unexpected treat. You can really feel the pride and passion they pour into every part of the experience.

Absolutely AMAZING!! I had all my guests stay at this hotel for my wedding, and not only is the venue gorgeous, the staff are just wonderful & made us feel so special. Anne & Phil in particular are absolutely fabulous. Anne went above & beyond to make sure myself and all my guests were taken care of and to ensure the event ran smoothly. What an absolute asset they both are to the venue and just beautiful people. Thank you!!!

Great place, very relaxing. Staff welcoming, happily helped with all my queries. Wifi wasn't working on my first day but was quickly fixed. Comfortable bed, slept well, quiet location. Lovely bathroom with deep bath to soak in. I'm not a fan of huge shower heads hanging from the ceiling but if you like them you will love the shower.

Magnificent place to visit. From the moment you walk in, the magic begins. The place looks like a movie set from Downtown Abbey. Every detail is amazing. The decor is gorgeous. The rooms are beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were beyond our expectations good. I don't think I could ever write anything well enough to describe how much we enjoyed it there. We will definitely return, too beautiful not too. Thank you Yering Estate.

Just had the most amazing, memorable experience staying at this place with my partner. Anne on the front desk made us feel so welcome and went absolutely above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could possibly be. The property is magnificent, the Stable Suite and Yarra Suites were simply beautiful, breakfast was amazing, ambience, location, grounds, interior, customer service - unforgettable. Thank you Anne. We will be back.

Excellent hotel. The Edwardian decor of the hotel sets the scene for a romantic couple days away from the busy city lifestyle. Evening meals at the restaurant are excellent and relaxing in front of the fireplace after dinner with a glass of Yering Estate finished off a lovely night.

Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley is an elegant hotel offering upscale rooms and suites, along with cellar tours, a high-end restaurant, and a pool. The estate boasts one of the largest hotels in the region and features a brand-new restaurant that offers upscale modern-Australian and seasonal dining. Additionally, it houses a 5-star winery as rated by Halliday Wine Companion.
Had a 2 night stay & dinner one night, breakfast on 2 mornings. Absolutely beautiful accommodation & surrounds. Room was luxurious & catered for every need. The staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly tho still professional. From Sky in reception when arrived, all the wait staff at breakfast, Mikael in the tasting room & everyone at dinner, especially our waitress, Ruby, to the ladies on reception when we checked out were exceptional. Breakfast & dinner were fantastic, could ask for better. Highly recommend the experience

We had a really lovely stay at Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley. The property is beautiful and relaxing, with gorgeous views that make it feel like a proper escape. The wine tasting was definitely a highlight – we chose the wine and chocolate pairing, which was such a fun and delicious experience. The staff made it easy to enjoy and learn a little along the way. Dinner was actually quite nice too. The creamy gnocchi and the steak were both cooked really well, and for dessert we chose the cobbler, which was a great way to finish the meal. Overall, the food turned out better than we expected and was enjoyable. The room was comfortable and a good place to unwind. The only downside was that the swimming pool and gym were closed during our stay, which was a bit disappointing. Still, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, wine, and food here, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Yarra Valley.

This being the second wine tour stop, my tongue has had a chance to settle down with the flavours. This place has had money spent to make it look comfortable and feel more modern. There's a lot of wood used and the building is huge. The dining area has a slick polished feel to it and I found the food (fish and pork pie) well prepared. It came hot and flavoured deliciously. Coupled with a good choice of wine, I had a good time here.

We had the most beautiful dinner at the restaurant - delicious food, generous portions, very well priced and a wide variety of menu options. The service from our waiter Jayden was what really made the night special. A lovely, personable, attentive young man with a terrific service style and personality - thank you for such a great job! Accommodation was also well appointed, spacious, quiet and spotlessly clean. Overall a very enjoyable evening and highly recommended.

We went to a Balgownie as one of our winery’s in a winery day out tour. We started off with the tasting and Genevieve was absolutely amazing! She was so nice and made the whole experience so much fun and enjoyable! We then had lunch and Shaelyn served us and she was so incredibly friendly and lovely and could not recommend both of them highly enough! We had the best experience thanks to these 2 lovely ladies!

The room and food was lovely, however…… The communication between staff / areas of the hotel were appalling. Vouchers to the spa required a booking number that wasn’t provided and no spots were available to use the voucher during the stay. Requested the rooms to have 4 king singles set up, which was confirmed on check in to have 2 king beds set up to sleep in. Prepaid 3 course dinner and booked a dining time upon arrival, only to rock up to dinner to find we didn’t have a booking. When checking out, they tried to charge extra for the prepaid meals.

Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, Hubert Estate offers a modern and sophisticated winery experience with breathtaking views of the valley. The estate boasts a variety of experiences, including wine tasting at the cellar door, dining on fresh local produce, and sampling specialty gins aged in wine barrels. Guests can indulge in delectable dishes such as chicken wings, tiger prawns, and pork pizza while enjoying still and sparkling water.
Wow, what a beautiful estate! Experienced it at night time for a date night (kid free). Such a cool vibe with mood lighting and chill music. Food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!!! I've also heard it is great during the day for a kid friendly vibe so we're keen to try that too!

Had zero expectations for this meal but it ended up appearing in my dreams at night. The prawn pizza is to die for. Perfect crust, perfect toppings, perfect flavour. I can eat the whole pizza myself, easily!!!! I'd give the fried chicken burger a pass. Also a beautiful estate to roam around

A tempting assortment for the pallette. Rissoto was well balanced in texturing and taste, Pizzas are precisely roasted with an assortment of well placed toppings. The desserts were also top-notch. But the atmosphere was way tpo crowded and noisy. Get a reservation beforehand.

Hubert Estate is a gem, boasting a breathtaking view with a vast green slope right next to the restaurant—perfect for a relaxing sunbathing break between lunch courses. The Margherita and Calabrese pizzas were outstanding, bursting with flavor and perfectly executed. The spicy burrata cauliflower was a surprising highlight, leaving a strong impression with its bold taste. The tiramisu, however, didn’t quite match the same level of excellence. Overall, a delightful dining experience in a stunning setting, well worth a visit!

Did a wine tasting without a reservation on a Saturday, tried 5 wines which we thoroughly enjoyed. The tasting service was great, really happy for all the wines to be poured and spoken about, then we could sit and chat amongst ourselves. Loved sitting on the couches. Only thing that I would provide feedback on were the children and adults kicking soccer balls around on the grassed area. As we were entering the cellar door, there were soccer balls being kicked and one almost landed on our heads as the ball dropped into the tunnel entrance. On our way out, there were different groups still playing with soccer balls.

This is my second time coming, everything was very well except for when my son is lactose intolerant. I have on purposely ordered no cheese on the angus beef burger. But they have still given the cheese. Which made him run to the bathroom almost immediately and it ruined the day. Even though the incident happened, he still loved the burger and other foods tasted outstanding.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the southeast side side of town. Start the day off with Stones of the Yarra Valley, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Yarra Farm Fresh. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Stones of the Yarra Valley is a charming establishment located in Wesburn, Victoria, offering modern Australian tasting menus with wine pairings in a vintage farmhouse setting. The venue is housed in a beautifully restored old barn surrounded by vineyards, apple orchards, and century-old oak trees with stunning views of the Yarra Ranges. In addition to its dining options at The Barn and Stables restaurant, it also features the adjacent cafe Meletos which serves lunch and dinner daily.
Stones is the ultimate dream wedding venue! The Villa was stunning, the Chapel was magical, and the Barn was the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance. Every detail was flawless, and the team made our day seamless and unforgettable (Special shoutout to Emily). Stones is a picturesque, timeless venue. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more!

Highly recommend Stones of the Yarra Valley, especially the Barns. I celebrated my 30th here with personalised/ set menus and stunning views overlooking the gardens. This is a beautiful location, the food was absolutely delicious and the wine choice we selected paired perfectly. The variety of food was exceptional and also the service for the dairy free/ vegetarian guests was amazing. My guests were also constantly commenting on the tremendous choice of venue and the beautiful meal! The waitress on our table was super friendly and lovely to deal with, always one step ahead of us and made the day very easy. I can’t recommend this venue enough and I can’t wait to visit again!

Had a great time at this winery — the food was really feeling good. Flavors were on point, and the portion sizes didn’t disappoint. If you’re into lamb, this place brings a lot of it, and they do it well. Everything from the mains to the sides hit the spot.

Promptly seated even though we arrived half an hour early. The sun came out and lit up the vines and the lawns beautifully. Then we had lunch with rose cider. Easy drive back along the winding driveway then home.

As a local Yarra Valley wedding photographer, I highly recommend Stones of the Yarra Valley. The venue offers incredible views for stunning photos at multiple locations across the property, creates unforgettable memories for your guests, and is completely safe for all season of the typical Melbourne weather. Ceremony outdoors in the gardens, or indoors at the chapel, you have a very hard choice to make! The staff ensures a stress-free planning experience, communication on point between vendors, so you don't have to be the middle man on the day of the wedding, and the delicious food/wine will leave everyone satisfied. With on-site accommodations that feel like Tuscany, Stones consistently delivers an exceptional wedding experience. What more could you ask for? I cannot wait to come back to Stones again this year and capture more love stories for my couples. Thank you Stones!

Absolutely love it. Got married here in 2022 and it was great being back and being relaxed and enjoying the day. Had dinner and breakfast there. We will make this a yearly tradition and go back yearly for our anniversary. The dinner was 5 stars it was fantastic, and the buffet breakfast was amazing as well. The girl who made the mocha on Sunday morning was the best mocha I've ever had (I had to go back for 2nds)

Having our wedding at Stones has always been a dream of ours. We were so blessed to be able to have our amazing day at this gorgeous venue and I can't speak highly enough of it. Stones is the whole experience, everything about the venue is just perfection! We can't rate the staff highly enough. The food at Stones is also amazing. Alana was our wedding coordinator and she was an absolute angel. No question was ever too much, she was so attentive and always willing to help with anything. Over the time that we were planning we were communicating so much that by the time we met, we felt like we had known her for forever. One of the genuinely saddest parts was saying bye. All the other staff at Stones were just as amazing. Emma & Jasmine looked after us all so well on the day and they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We were fortunate to be able to hire the Farmhouse and the Villa for us and our guests to stay at. All we can say is - wow! The accommodation at Stones is stunning! If you have the aopportunity to, book yourselves a stay there. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and everyone of you at Stones. We came across so many other staff members but don't know their names, however every single one of you made us feel so special and welcomed at the venue. If only we could do our wedding over and over again 🥰 Thank you for the most magical experience and we can't wait to come back and visit again!

Helen & Joey Estate - Re'em in Yarra Valley offers a spacious cellar door and tasting room, but the best experience is on the terrace overlooking the picturesque vineyards. You can leisurely taste their wines while enjoying snacks and charcuterie, and even purchase some bottles to take home. The Re'em restaurant provides a romantic setting with stunning vineyard views, offering a variety of wines to complement your meal.
Bravo Re’em! What a fabulous Sunday lunch the four of us had. The Asian fusion dishes were each beautifully presented as a work of art. We loved each dish, all creative and cleverly subtle, leaving us with no shortage of ingredient guesses. My personal favorite was a poached pear…. (will I ever be able to serve mine again after this new benchmark?) The service was friendly and informative. The 180 degree view over their Helen and Joey vineyard is a stunning background to the open, modern venue on a winter’s day. We won’t be waiting for a special occasion to return.

Accommodation is amazing with sweeping views of a beautiful pond and vineyards. Generous sized rooms with beautiful cabinetry and plenty of storage for your stay. Gorgeous bathrooms to relax and enjoy a vino or two in the bath. Dinner however is definitely worth the value. Set menu and definitely did not disappoint. Wines are amazing. 11 stars out of 10 for a weekend away.

Beautiful location and the food was delicious. Booked a lunch at Re'em restaurant, very nice decor and overlooking the winery ground and beautiful lake/pound with the fountain. The food was Asian influenced which is rather unique to find in the winery restaurants. The service was excellent too, the staff were friendly and very attentive. A lovely experience overall. Highly recommended.

This luxe boutique hotel in Gruyere (Yarra Valley region) was a pleasant impromptu overnight stay (impulsively booked a couple days prior for a quiet weekend away). I believe I may have nabbed the last available room as there are only 16 guest rooms & believed I secured one of their 'standard' rooms as the fancier ones had already been snapped up. Well, I was surprised to find out their basic rooms were far from standard and definitely much nicer than most upgraded 4-5 star hotel rooms in any capital city, spacious open rain shower, Nespresso pod machine, free standing deep bathtub included. The rooms were spacious, unbelievably clean (I have an unshakable habit of inspecting nooks, corners, drains, signs of infestations and previous guest damage upon check in) and it was immaculate, however having said that this is a boutique hotel and freshly built in 2023. The grounds have a modern feel, there is a cellar door on the premises and a restaurant serving mod Asian cuisine, this establishment also looks set up for scenic weddings, with a beautiful lake swimming with a resident pelican and ducks and lush backdrop, which our room opened up to. Our room was located in the 'basement', sounds terrible but in reality, was perfect, the building is built in reverse as to make use of the hill it sits upon for maximum scenery intake for the top level, there was a stunning fishpond at the base of the stairwell of the basement with the cutest array of goldfish, ranging from petite babies to well fed fatties, whenever we stopped to admire them they would swim up to us eagerly, probably expecting food, utterly adorable. The vibe is relaxed, quiet, serene and modern, I loved the balance of welcoming but not intrusive professionalism of all staff. Check on and check out was extremely smooth and quick. We also received a complimentary voucher to redeem for a drink at the cellar door, but silly me, forgot about it, Breakfast is also complimentary, there is an a la carte menu of breakfast favorites with an Asian inspired twist such as scrambled eggs, poached eggs, fritters etc. also dumplings or congee and a small selection of pastries & juice you can help yourself to. I shouldn't complain but I would have loved if there was oat milk as an option for coffees (only soy & almond available). Loads of parking and close to other wineries such as St. Huberts, Chandon etc. Would love to come back again soon!

Absolutely adore this place! Stunning views, great wine, excellent service. My wife and I were served by a lovely waitress - Abbie I think her name was, and we were very happy with the level of service especially as it was my birthday on Sunday! She had a few things going on but seems to multi-task very well - something my wife wishes I could do! Will definitely be back, maybe during the week when it isn't as busy! P.S I have been told about the hotel rooms, and I think my next birthday trip will have to be in those rooms!!

Re’em at Helen & Joey Estate is the perfect date night destination in the Yarra Valley. The setting is stunning — surrounded by rolling vineyards and a serene, modern atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special from the moment you arrive. We had the two-course meal with cocktails and loved every bite. The chilli crab was rich and fragrant, the smoked aurum duck beautifully tender, and the fish cooked at 50°C was perfectly silky. Even the buckwheat gnocchi was a standout.

I held my 70th at Re'em for 16 guests and it was superb. The food on the menu is exquisite - beautifully presented and flavourful. Of course the wines were excellent. The restaurant itself is modern and classy, yet with a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged everyone to enjoy the day. The restaurant manager and all the staff were friendly and flexible in accommodating our group. They made us feel special and looked after all our requests. The most common comment from our guests was - Why haven't I heard of this place before? We have to come back.

The winery is peaceful and beautiful, with a tranquil atmosphere. The staff are very warm and polite. They offered complimentary wine tasting and enthusiastically introduced the wine-making process to us. We were given a tour of the wine cellar, along with detailed explanations of the characteristics of each wine. The hotel room is spacious, bright, modern, and offers a great view. The restaurant serves delicious food. highly recommended!

Yarra Valley Trail

Yarra Valley Trail is a fantastic trail that offers amazing views and is suitable for both beginners and advanced walkers or riders. The well-made, almost flat bike path spans approximately 7 km in length and is popular among cyclists and walkers. Although there are plans to extend the trail to Yarra Glen, this has not yet been realized. Despite this, the trail remains beautiful and dog-friendly, making it perfect for a leisurely ride or walk.
I walked along the track with my wife recently. It was a beautiful and tranquil walk. It will be even better when the trail opens to Yarra Glen (can't wait!)

Yarra Valley Trail Experience: A stunning trail through the heart of Victoria’s wine country — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for both cycling and walking. The trail winds past lush vineyards, rolling hills, farmlands, and charming local stops. What I loved: Easy and flat trail, great for beginners or casual riders Beautiful views, especially during sunrise or golden hour Option to stop at local wineries, bakeries, or farm gates along the way Family-friendly and pet-friendly in most sections Trail Highlights: Few section of trail were popular and well-maintained Passing through bridges, tunnels, and picturesque countryside Tips: Bring water, sunscreen, and a camera Ideal for a half-day or full-day outing Some areas can be muddy after rain, so check weather conditions Rating: 4.8/5 Would I recommend? Definitely — a must-do for nature lovers, cyclists, and those looking to explore beyond Melbourne.

Pretty decent stretch of trail. Not really a fan of gravel trail. The other section from yarra valley to yarra Glen is still under construction. There pretty much building along side or on top of what was once rail road tracks.
Chris H — Google review
We read stage 2A was completed in Aug 23 ie. trail from Yarra Glen to Tarrawarra so we went to ride it. It’s NOT. There is no trail. The sleepers have been removed but that’s it. The only ride available in Yarra Glen starts on the footpath on King St which becomes gravel up to Glenview Rd where you turn right into Steels Creek Rd. Follow it all the way until it ends soon after crossing Gulf Rd. Good for a short Gravel bike run. Hilly in parts which will test the lower gears. Then return. That’s it. The other good ride Stage 1A starts at Yerring Station and goes to Lilydale. This is a good trail. Stage 1B, 2A etc are non existent at the moment.

Skydive Yarra Valley offers an exhilarating experience with stunning aerial views of the region. After the dive, visitors can enjoy delectable cheeses and a relaxing picnic at Yarra Valley Dairy. Additionally, there are various activities to partake in while in Yering. The team is highly praised for their exceptional service, from thorough explanations before the dive to capturing incredible photos. Despite a parachute malfunction, the staff's control and professionalism were commendable.
Located in Lilydale this airport offers skydiving joy flights and hot air ballooning. Hot air Ballooning is a short distance away. All up Victoria Rd. Also there are many wineries to visit in the area which is the Yarra Valley. I moved here around a year ago. Churnside Park off Victoria Road. These attractions are within 15 minutes driving distance. Including Mount Dandenong Ranges. Beautiful scenery.

The experience was great. Loved the feeling of flying in the sky. Staff was nice as well. There were games at the venue to entertain yourself while waiting for your turn. But I am highly disappointed with the photos and video. When we pay for something we expect something. My expectations were totally ruined. The instructor forgot to include my face in the photos. I think the reason was that I was taller than the instructor. So disappointed.

The Cellar Door, which was once an ancient hay shed, now offers a charming setting to savor their superb wines and signature platters while enjoying stunning views of the valley. Visitors can experience a rustic tasting room in a resurrected hay shed beside the lambing nursery and orchard on the farm.
What a wonderful memorable experience. We were so lucky to have the very knowledgeable and friendly Megan to guide us through the wine tasting. We loved that it was such a personal intimate experience and such a family oriented Winery. You could feel the love in every sip after Megan told us the history of the farm. We purchased the "One on One" bottle to take away as it was a very unique idea from growing to harvesting. The view was amazing and this rustic winery was definitely our favourite one visited on our holiday.

First stop in my wine tour. The wine tasting was conducted in a wooden room with simple minimalistic decor. There's even a wood burning stove to provide heat, giving a rustic feel / atmosphere to it. Being family owned, their setup doesn't have the over commercialized feel to it. Which is good. You can feel the personal touch rather than the sometimes sterile character of a commercial operation. I simply love it.

Absolutely amazing! We stopped by Yering Farm on our way back to Melbourne. We were so kindly greeted by a host for the tasting who immediately welcomed us and our dog. She was incredible - I only wish I knew her name. I tasted 3 incredible Pinot Noirs and 2 Cab Savs. The host was impressively knowledgeable about the wine and history of the vineyard. Thank you for a fantastic experience! We left with a few bottles, with the One by One Pinot Noir in mind for a special event.

Wine tasting highly rated, wines were delicious and staff member was very interesting. Couldn't ask for him to be more interesting. Price of tasting is deducted from wine purchase, which is almost guaranteed, we bought 6 wines and very happy to take them home

Such a great place to visit. Dropped by due to Shedfest, but had also been here years ago as part of a winery tour and was desperate for an apple pie again. Attentive service for wine tasting and a great run through - I had left a different winery due to being ignored as a solo traveller. Returned on Sunday with a friend to get our dessert fix - absolutely delicious 😋 Doggo friendly which was fab

Gemma was an absolute gem! She was insightful and helpful when discussing different wines. Could not recommend Yering Farm Wines enough, was hardly any humans around and a semi intimate feel accompanied by a homely vibe. Will be back!

Gemma was absolutely amazing! So much knowledge on all the wines and so cheerful and bubbly. The wine was fantastic and so full of flavour. Thank you Gemma for such a great experience!

Convenient walking distance to the cellar door, plenty of space for any large groups wanting to stay together, lots to see and do around the property. The hospitality was awesome and thanks for having us on the weekend. Thanks Megan and Alan your white and red wine collections are awesome we can't stop drinking them. :)

Coombe Yarra Valley is a stylish winery and restaurant located in the former residence of opera singer Dame Nellie Melba. Situated in the sought-after Yarra Valley, this property offers 10 clear acres of fertile land with mains water already connected. It was previously a strawberry farm and provides picturesque views, making it an ideal location to build a luxury home or continue farming activities.
We recently had our wedding at Coombe Yarra Valley, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and memorable day. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. A special thank you to Angela, who was absolutely incredible throughout our entire wedding planning journey. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the process feel seamless and enjoyable. She guided us through every step with care and made sure everything came together perfectly. On the day itself, the Coombe team went above and beyond to ensure both we and our guests were looked after. The level of coordination among the staff was outstanding, they communicated so well between themselves that we felt completely supported and felt like a priority throughout the entire event. The venue is, of course, stunning, but it’s the people who truly make Coombe special. We’re so grateful for everything they did to make our day magical and we cannot recommend Coombe Yarra Valley highly enough to any couples looking for a dream wedding venue. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

As a wedding florist, we always love returning to Coombe Yarra Valley. The venue is a perfect blend of rich historical charm and modern elegance. Tucked behind the hedges, it’s full of beauty — from the original gardens and striking architecture to the refined interiors. It provides a stunning canvas for ceremonies in the Italian Garden or under the Oak Tree, and the reception space is just as breathtaking, with rich and raw features. One of our favourite moments is decorating the tables with lots of candles — it looks especially magical as night falls, particularly on the glass-top tables, where the reflections add an extra sparkle ✨✨ The team is consistently warm, professional, and so lovely to work with. I love walking into the reception space to see familiar smiling faces 🥰 The weddings and events team is always organised and make our job easy. It’s such a joy to be part of weddings and events at Coombe!

Beautiful winery with lush green gardens and very helpful hosts. Hosted a drive day function at the Gallery and Emma our event manager was incredibly helpful. We dropped off the gifts and place cards and banner the day before and Emma had it all set up perfectly. Emma greeted us at the gates and led us to the Gallery. Everyone complimented on the food and presentation. I highly recommend Coombe for functions. There was an option for a garden tour but we didn’t have the time to incorporate that into our event. Definitely one of the best places to host a function

I loved the venue and we had a wonderful view of the trees from our table. The building interior is very interesting and beautifully finished; for what was once the old garage for Nellie’s luxury automobiles- Cadillac, Rolls Royce etc. The service was friendly and unhurried. Our meals were delicious and are commented on in other reviews. My 4 star atmosphere rating is reduced from 5 due to the repetitive, & to my taste, boring jazz trumpets. A bit more variety would be nice.
Nicole L — Google review
I was invited to a private party in the museum. The service is good. There are two options for each course. I had Confit Duck Terrine, Slow Cook Pork Belly and Pork Scotch, Peach Melba. The duck is good but the bun is dry. Pork scotch is much better than the pork belly. Peach Melba is not to my liking. I want a bit sour than sweet.

The food was amazing! Hard to decide what to have! Started with homemade, still warm, bread to dip into a gorgeous fresh olive oil (forgot to take a photo). A glass of Coombe sparkling, then Coombe Chardonnay with the Barrimundi. Terrific, friendly service. Would have liked to go on a tour of the house and gardens, but a bit much on the expensive side. Maybe another time. The flat white coffee was on the weak side unfortunately. Great place for a special celebration, like our wedding anniversary!

We absolutely love working at Coombe Yarra Valley! We’ve had the pleasure of styling many weddings here over the years, and it’s always such a joy. The team is incredibly supportive, responsive, and professional, which makes the whole process so enjoyable. Beyond that, the venue itself is simply stunning, a truly beautiful setting for couples to celebrate, and such an inspiring venue to style. We can’t recommend Coombe highly enough! Agi and the WLL team

Good value and options for selecting 2 or 3 courses. Our group chose 2 courses each and everyone was happy with their mains and desserts. The best dish was the lamb shoulder - succulent and falling off the bone, served with deliciously rich gravy and perfectly roasted cauliflower.

Yarra Farm Fresh is a charming farm store offering more than just fresh fruits and vegetables. Visitors can also find local deli products, treats, and specialty items. The large, modern farm shed store is nestled in a picturesque setting surrounded by strawberry fields and mature trees that create a stunning autumnal scene. The shop boasts an array of affordable and fresh produce, as well as gourmet grocery items like pasta, sauces, honey, and jams.
I love the layout at Yarra Farm Fresh plus the local selection of quality fruit and veg.

Recommend visiting this shop for fresh fruit, vegetables, gourmet pasta and sauces, honey, jams, and many other gourmet grocery items. Most produce were local and fresh, though prices were higher than other local retailers. But the freshness is great. Scenic surroundings and worth visiting if you are in the Yarra Valley region.

I did an extra drive to this farm to buy new season walnuts. I asked the question if these walnuts are this season, and the answer was "yes they are". Lucky for me, I only bought 0.5kg and paid $9.50. I'm very disappointed, they are definitely not fresh/not new season, and very expensive. More than half of them end up in a rubbish bin (covered with dry mould). I find a better shop with fresh, and juicy walnuts and pay only $11.99 per kg.

When I need fruit and vegetables, I head up the road to Yarra Farm Fresh. It is surrounded by strawberry fields and is the best place to buy strawberries during the strawberry season. They have a fantastic selection of affordable and fresh produce as well as local products for sale such as jam and pasta. There are also plants for sale outside.

We had a fantastic summer visiting Yarra Farm Fresh. The gelato next to the fruit shop is absolutely amazing! We had so much fun there, taking selfies and enjoying the atmosphere. Not only is it pet-friendly, but they also offer pup cups for our furry friends. The fruit in the shop is incredibly fresh, and overall, I had a wonderful time there!!!

Coldstream Brewery is a charming tavern with a cozy atmosphere and rustic exposed brickwork. It offers an array of home-brewed beers, ciders, sharing plates, and steaks. The brewery is famous for its $13 beer tasting paddle paired with generous servings of delicious pub food, providing a great value experience. Situated in the Yarra Valley, it's the home of the Shivering Man and offers a chance to taste small batch beers and excellent ciders.
We had another amazing experience at Coldstream Brewery! The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh, just as always. We were served by a couple of lovely young ladies who were super friendly and had such a great attitude, really added to the whole experience. My partner and I are both locals and absolutely love this place. Whether it’s the top-notch food, the great range of drinks, or the consistently outstanding customer service, Coldstream Brewery never disappoints. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a fantastic spot to eat, drink, and relax!

Pizza was totally yum with fresh melted balls of mozzeralla & tasty olives. Beers were nice. Good price all round. Loved reading the Shivering Man story. It's nice to hear a great Aussie dream coming to fruition. The only thing missing is a bigger bush setting venue with room for local bands. That would really put Coldstream Brewery on the bigger map. Cheers!

A great spot and the tasting paddles are a must, the highlight was the Pinot Apple Cider. The staff were very accommodating, the kitchen had just closed but they still cooked us some hot chips. Cost atmosphere as well.

Just an all round great venue! We had a booking for 16pax which they accommodated for us in the front room, but they also have a function room & an outdoor, dog friendly space. Food & drinks were delicious & very reasonably priced, generous portions & great menu selection also. Excellent craft beers & ciders on tap, tasting paddles available for both. Great atmosphere with a casual, welcoming vibe. The staff are amazing too, super friendly & attentive without being intrusive. Even their coffee is perfect! Our booking was for a birthday celebration & the bartender comped the birthday girl a glass of wine at one stage & also gave her a free bottle of the same wine after we settled our bill. It was a sweet gesture & a demonstration of just how lovely the staff are. So whether you’re looking for a function venue, a lunch or dinner or just a casual drink, I cannot recommend this brewery highly enough. I will definitely be back!
Caralyn S — Google review
Decent spot for a luncho. Brewery burger was good, chips super crispy, slightly too salty but goes well with some sauce. Burger was probably just a bit too small for its price, but flavours are all there. Bit hard to move around in the outdoor covered area with benches, if you're running with a big table.

We came here for lunch and had a wonderful time. We had a reservation, but came a little bit earlier than expected. Luckily, they were able to seat us right away. The food was great and tasty! Friendly staff and were fast with their service. I also recommend their beer paddle to get an inside taste of their lovely beer and then order a glass of your favorite! 🍻

Nestled at the entrance of the stunning Yarra Valley, Bianchet Yarra Valley Restaurant & Events is a charming family-owned winery that offers an unforgettable dining experience. With its modern Australian menu infused with French influences, guests can savor dishes crafted from fresh ingredients sourced directly from their kitchen garden. The inviting outdoor seating on a lush lawn creates a perfect backdrop for enjoying their exquisite wines, all produced on-site or selected from an extensive wine list.
Let me paint you a picture. You are served on arrival by an amazing waitress who sits you under a beautiful tree on a summers day looking over the incredible vineyard at Bianchet. After ordering your first drinks, you are told the chef had just come back from sourcing fresh local produce. Which leads to you being delighted to taste the delicate flavours of your Kingfish and Beetroot appetisers. The team at Bianchet have done an incredible job providing a wonderful experience in the Yarra Valley. It is clear that their food and produce are treated with upmost respect and care. Thanks to the team for having us, can't wait to visit again soon!

Beautiful winery with amazing food. We enjoyed every single dish that was served, it was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were very good compared to most of the wineries where you end up stopping at Maccas on your way home from Yarra Valley 😂 We had the grilled Octopus, Terrine for Entrée Pork and Beef for Mains and finally the dark chocolate mousse and Bomb Alaska for dessert. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be frequent diners :)

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sara and the team at Bianchet Winery for a wedding event, and I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional service and experience they provided. From start to finish, Sara's professionalism and attention to detail were evident, making the entire planning process a breeze. The venue itself is nothing short of breathtaking, with its picturesque vineyards and charming ambiance, providing the perfect backdrop for any special occasion. Sara's expertise in event coordination ensured that every aspect of the celebration was executed flawlessly, leaving both the couple and their guests in awe. Throughout the event, Sara's warm and welcoming demeanor made everyone feel at ease, fostering an atmosphere of joy and celebration. She went above and beyond to accommodate any special requests and ensured that every little detail was taken care of, leaving no room for worry or stress. The staff at Bianchet Winery were equally impressive, providing top-notch service and hospitality to all the guests. The seamless coordination between the team and the event vendors, including the entertainment provided by SIFA Events, contributed to an unforgettable evening that will be cherished by everyone involved. If you are considering hosting an event at Bianchet Winery, I wholeheartedly recommend working with Sara. Her dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence shine through in every aspect of her work. It is evident that she genuinely cares about making each event a memorable experience for all. Thank you, Sara, and the entire team at Bianchet Winery, for making Dani and AJ's wedding a resounding success. Your hard work and dedication truly paid off, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you again in the future.

Had a two course meal here, wish we’d had more time so I could have had the dessert too! Everything was delicious, however I ordered a rare steak and my friend ordered medium-to-well-done, but we both got medium-rare.. hers was arguably more pink than mine! It was still delicious for me but she left most of hers. Will be back all the same :-)

Sep 2022: Amazing cute dining room with floor to ceiling glass and excellent views. All the food was excellent. Quail, steak, Murray cod. And the wine. Would have stayed longer if didn't have to drive and stop drinking! Note: the quaik stater had massive raisins / sultanas in it which I don't like. Didn't say it on the menu (I think - unless they have a different name I don't know of). Not enough to lose a star but the menu should list all ingredients.

We had an great lunch at Bianchet during our Yarra Valley trip, and took advantage of their 3 course special. Really good value for money considering the quality of the food. Our favourites were the duck breast, mushroom entree, and even the bread was a standout (served with seaweed butter). Nice local wines too and good service.

The Yarra Valley Grand Hotel, a historic property dating back to 1888, offers elegant accommodations and a charming atmosphere. The hotel features a restaurant, bar, and beer garden for guests to enjoy. The on-site bistro serves modern interpretations of pub classics using locally sourced ingredients from the Yarra Valley. With its Victorian architecture and convivial pub culture, this hotel is a local landmark that exudes rustic charm.
We attended this venue for Mother's Day lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We arrived an hour early than our booking for 1.45pm however they were able to accommodate our party of 9 for an earlier spot. Food was good and service fast. Venue is definitely old age and post World War II but quaint and was being enjoyed by many groups on the day. Service was pleasant and genuinely caring. One of the dishes was too spicy for one guest and the kitchen went above and beyond to assist. We would return for another day's outing and lunch.

We had a great stay at the Yarra Valley Grand! From the moment we arrived, the service was second to none. The young man who checked us in made us feel so welcome, and the entire staff was fantastic. We stayed in the tower room, which was wonderfully quirky and perfect for anyone looking for a unique hotel experience. The views from the room are truly unbeatable—I'm sure they're the best in the entire Yarra Valley. While there were a couple of minor issues, like some traffic noise and the linens being a bit stained (though clean!), it's important to remember this is a pub, and the overall experience and incredible service more than made up for it. Highly recommend for the unique rooms and amazing staff!

First negative review I've ever had to write unfortunately. My Fiancé booked a table for 2 to enjoy a lovely meal together on such a beautiful day in Yarra Glen. There was a ridiculously strong smell of air freshener the entire time we were there, it was so strong it made me feel unwell. Thats all we could smell the enyire time! Please note *This. is. toxic* My fiancè's meal came out after 1 hour.. my meal was no where to be seen.. his meal went cold waiting for mine.. nearly *30minutes* of waiting now at 1.5 hours.. not one waiter noticed our concerned eyes, or even that fact that the waiter had dropped off just one meal to a table of two 30 minutes ago..... nothing, no communication. Rule number one in hospitality, meals go out together! **Especiallyyyy** w a table of two! And communicate w your customers. Fiancé had to walk out to the front desk to query my missing meal. We noticed this was happening w every table in the dining room we were seated in. Only one table received their meals together (table of 2 ladies) We have been many-many times before over the years, and have had longer and longer wait times. We understand Sundays get busy, but this was just such a disappointing way to enjoy our Sunday. 1 hour wait then a 30 min additional wait for my meal, partners stone cold meal waiting for mine, toxic fumes from air fresheners which have no place anywhere Especially in restaurants!! All wait staff barely made eye contact, no smiles, no communication. All could have been rectified by doing any or all of the above! 1 Positive note, Meals were nice. Sad to say we won't be back 😕

We went for my wife’s birthday lunch and sadly it was a very disappointing experience. We waited 50 minutes for four meals. The steak arrived undercooked, and the kids’ cheeseburger was overcooked. I was told the steak would only be another 10 minutes, but even after waiting an extra 20 minutes it still hadn’t arrived. In the end, I was refunded for the steak, but the moment was already ruined. I was offered a voucher as compensation, which I declined I won’t be going back, For what should have been a special occasion, it turned into a big letdown. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend. Should have looked at the reviews before I booked — slow meals seem to be a trend.

The lush fairways and fast greens are complemented by top-notch facilities and a welcoming clubhouse. Beyond golf, the club's professional and personable service extends to organizing various activities such as winery tours, hot-air ballooning, and in-room massages.
Huge facility across rolling hills with 36 holes and a grass range. Wide forgiving fairways cut tight lead into solid and well bunkered green complexes. Looking forward to when the new clubhouse is built so really bring the whole club together, but the temporary set up is quite impressive

Stunning course. If you can get yourself a game, I’d highly recommend it. Facilities are outstanding considering much of the place is under renovation. Practice range, chipping and putting facilities are great. I’ll certainly be back for a game!

Eastern’s Shark Waters course surprised me in the best way. This Par 3 layout isn’t just about short holes — it’s about sharp thinking, shot-making discipline, and a beautiful rhythm that rewards presence over power. The course is immaculately maintained, with rolling fairways and water features that challenge your judgment without overwhelming you. It’s a space where you can really slow down and focus on your game—and in my case, reflect on more than just golf. A perfect course for players who want to sharpen their short game or rediscover their flow. Highly recommended for both solo play and quiet rounds with friends.

Oh, and a special shoutout to the chicken Parma and burger at Eastern Golf Club—absolutely top-notch!

Premium facilities, comfortable club rooms and very good service. Meals are excellent, competitively priced and excellent range of quality drinks. Easy drive out there. The course itself is well designed, but will be better to play on in a few years when the trees and bushes mature.

My first time here and I absolutely loved it, we played a round on the South course over the weekend. The course is in great condition. The views as you make your way through the course are spectacular. Greens, fairways and tee boxes (+ driving range) are in top condition ( As you would expect from a club of this pedigree). Def one of my favourite courses here in Victoria. I wondered how the facilities were after the clubhouse fire, needless to say they have done an amazing job with the temporary members pavilion! Can't wait for the new clubhouse to be completed, however as it stands I would encourage everyone to pay a visit.. highly recommended.

We got married in the Yarra Valley and booked Yering Gorge Cottages for our wedding accommodation with our bridal party. The staff looked after us incredibly well, and the cottages were so lovely and well-appointed in a such a quiet and tranquil location. The surroundings are absolutely stunning and we loved waking up and seeing the kangaroos and the birds outside our balcony. We loved our stay at Yering Gorge and can't wait to come back again!!

Our second time staying at Yering Gorge Cottages. Once again an absolute delight. Cottages are roomy and well stocked. Views are magnificent and it's a joy to watch the wildlife. There was a small group of Cockatoos show up for breakfast. I'm sure they've done that before!!

We recently spent three unforgettable days at Yering Gorge Cottages, and it was the perfect escape into nature and serenity. The cottages are set against the backdrop of stunning greenery, with an abundance of wildlife, including kangaroos peacefully grazing nearby. The tranquility of this place is unmatched. Our mornings were filled with beautiful sunrises over the hills, with the sunlight filtering through the trees—an absolutely picturesque setting. The cozy cottage made us feel right at home, with the deck providing a perfect view of the surrounding landscape. Cockatoos often visited, adding a lively touch to the peaceful atmosphere. For anyone seeking a quiet retreat surrounded by nature, Yering Gorge Cottages is the ideal destination. It’s a hidden gem with fantastic views and a chance to unwind. We highly recommend it!

My wife and I recently enjoyed the most wonderful stay at one of the self-contained, self-catering cottages in Yering Gorge, nestled in the heart of the Yarra Valley and overlooking the stunning Eastern Golf course. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by the team running the property. The attention to detail in every aspect of the cottage was truly second to none, everything was spotless, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared to ensure comfort and relaxation. Waking up to breathtaking views and watching kangaroos roam freely just outside was an unforgettable experience. We truly felt like we had found a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, yet with all the modern conveniences we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene escape with world-class service and scenery

I recently visited the property to have a look and was immediately approached by the manager. While I was reminded that it was private property, what stood out was the manager’s clear admission that the only reason I was being confronted was because I arrived on a motorbike. This is blatant discrimination against motorcyclists. I was not causing any disturbance or behaving inappropriately, yet I was treated as though I did not belong and was effectively chased away. Such conduct is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the management of the property.

Surreal experience!! Greeted daily by kangaroos, the cockatoos, and AU magpies ..right at my doorstep! Kathryn the Room Manager, warm hospitality is just icing on the cake. We will be back…!!

Location is simply unbeatable - the wildlife, the serenity, the nature trails more than make up for any other short comings. Could have spent much longer than three days here! Note if you’re arriving late is a bit hard to find your cottage as there isn’t a lot of signage. The rooms themselves really need a renovation, and the breakfast is not quite as nice as what’s advertised (packaged not homemade muesli) but the setting, abundance of wildlife, and privacy really are unbeatable.

Spadonis Reserve is a stunning destination for nature enthusiasts, offering opportunities for bushwalking and birdwatching amidst picturesque landscapes and diverse wildlife. Adrenaline seekers can experience breathtaking aerial views of the region with a skydiving adventure at Skydive Yarra Valley. Visitors can also indulge in delectable cheeses and enjoy relaxing picnics at Yarra Valley Dairy.
A great short walk with beautiful trees, wetlands, farm & river views.

A beautiful park with a 'figure 8' walking track, taking in views of the adjoining ranges and farmland. The Yarra River flows deep and strong through sections of the park, and the wildlife (flora & fauna) is plentiful. The only downside is that the land adjacent to Spadonis Reserve is a RC model aero club, which is annoying when trying to photograph wildlife who appear to get quite spooked with the annoying buzzing sound of the planes. Next to that is a gun club, and on days when that is open you're probably better off going elsewhere. Otherwisr the park is well looked after and flat, making it a very easy walk. Do note that there are snakes to be mindful of also!
Rob S — Google review
Wide paths and well maintained landscapes in a scenic setting. Never too many people here but can be a little noisy at times from clay shooting at the Melbourne Gun Club located next door.
Daniel W — Google review
Nice views of the yarra River, and wildlife is great too! In one day on a jog I saw 2 tiger snakes, one wombat, and if you detour to the farm land near the gun range you'll see kangaroos.

Great reserve right on the river. Peaceful and we'll maintained.

Would have been lovely if not for the background noise of bogans with rifles and firearms, or young kids with toy aeroplanes overhead. If a nature walk is what you are seeking, go elsewhere. Has the potential to be an enjoyable walk, but avoid on weekends.
Anton W — Google review
Lovely local walk that is excellent for dogs. However be careful in the summer as there is snakes. Very calm and tranquil on weekdays and off peak times. Great for a short run as well!

This is a beautiful spot, and I used to love the peace and quiet here, but since then I’ve had a few unsettling encounters, including seeing a drug deal go down and a man ‘taking care of himself’ out in the open. I won’t go there without my husband any more. It’s still a beautiful spot, but I think the secluded location does attract some shady characters.

Nestled in the serene countryside of Yarra Valley, The Heritage Golf & Country Club offers a delightful retreat for golf enthusiasts and travelers alike. With access to two 18-hole championship golf courses, guests can indulge in a memorable golfing experience surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes. The warm and welcoming staff ensures a hospitable atmosphere, while the impeccably maintained fairways and greens provide an enjoyable challenge for players of all levels.
We play at St. John course. I will put this course at the TOP tier of Melb must play list. Kudos to the green keeper who maintain the fairways and the greens at their best. Green speed is utterly fast, except the last 3 holes are slower than the rest. This is not a cheap course to play, but it’s worth the money, not easy to play but still fun to finish the 18 holes. All golfer have a great manner especially the locals. Kangaroos sunbathing at hole 11th and 17th. We played here with Future Golf

Heritage Golf and Country Club in Victoria is a stunning destination that offers a premium golfing experience surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, the club boasts two championship courses—the St John Course and the Henley Course—each offering a unique and challenging layout that caters to golfers of all skill levels. The St John Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is a true test of strategy and precision, with undulating fairways, well-placed bunkers, and fast, tricky greens that demand accurate shot-making. The Henley Course, on the other hand, provides a more links-style experience, with open fairways and strategic water hazards that add to the challenge. Both courses are immaculately maintained, with lush fairways and pristine greens that enhance the overall playing experience. Beyond the golf, Heritage Golf and Country Club offers excellent facilities, including a well-equipped clubhouse, dining options, and a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a round. The staff are professional and welcoming, ensuring that guests have a memorable experience from start to finish. While the club has seen some changes in management over the years, the stunning location and quality of the courses remain its strongest highlights. Whether you’re a passionate golfer looking for a challenging round or simply want to enjoy a scenic day on the fairways, Heritage Golf and Country Club is a fantastic choice.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of playing a round at Heritage Golf Club, and I can't say enough about this fantastic course! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who made me feel like a valued guest. The course itself is an absolute gem. Impeccably maintained fairways and greens, stunning natural surroundings, and a layout that offers both challenge and enjoyment for golfers of all skill levels. The pristine beauty of the landscape combined with the well-designed holes made every swing feel like a memorable experience. What truly sets Heritage Golf Club apart, though, is the commitment to customer service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that your day on the course is exceptional. Whether it's assisting with tee times, offering tips on navigating the course, or making sure you have everything you need, they are always there with a smile. The views from the clubhouse are stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for a post-round meal or drinks with friends. In summary, Heritage Golf Club is a golfing paradise that deserves every one of its five stars. If you're looking for a memorable golf experience in a beautiful setting with exceptional service, look no further. I can't wait to return for another round at Heritage Golf Club!

Friend arrived first n went to order by the bar as we followed minutes later, some of us were being instructed to another room without realizing we’re the same party since we were a mixed group, apparently for membership purposes, but none of us were members anyways. It do be one of ur own sometimes..

Great place to stay! Well run and down the road from The Little Vineyard where they hold events. So this is the best accommodation if you are heading to an event in the near future. Highly recommend

Really lovely staff, excellent food included in our stay, room service was prompt and delicious. The views of the golf course are wonderful too. Would happily stay again.

After more than 4 years absent, still a great golf course, St John, nature and all, yes, better course maintenance needed. Sadly what was once a great club is now seems vibes-less and run down; building, facility, no shower, bar was shut, badly manage and the owner just don't care. Friendly members are still around, not sure with the latest hike in subs at $5k/year for a badly managed club?
