The Phillip Island Chocolate Factory, also known as Pannys Chocolate Factory, is a must-visit destination for chocolate lovers. The factory offers an immersive tour with interactive exhibits and the opportunity to create your own chocolate. Visitors can marvel at a 2-meter tall chocolate statue of Michelangelo's David, witness a giant chocolate waterfall, and explore a complete chocolate village.
To everyone planning to visit Phillip Island, I highly recommend checking out the chocolate factory. It's a place that will provide a wealth of positive emotions for both kids and adults. Upon entry, you'll be offered a ticket in the form of chocolate. During the tour, you'll get to learn about the entire production process. You'll also have the chance to sample various types of chocolate and even create your own chocolate design. Additionally, upon entry, you are given coins to play the pokies, where you can win a ticket and exchange it for chocolate on your way out. The visit was very enjoyable!

Such a fun place to visit! The Phillip Island Chocolate Factory is a great experience for both kids and adults. The displays are really creative. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and of course the chocolate is absolutely delicious, so many varieties to try and take home. A must visit spot if you’re on the island!
Dr. R — Google review
It was a fun experience for both adults and children! Tickets are sold at $23 for adults and the physical ticket given is a chocolate that you can eat. The visit starts with an introductory history to how chocolate is made, followed by interesting displays of "how chocolates are made by penguins" in Panny's chocolate factory. There are interactive games which you can play with the 10 credits which comes with each ticket. If you win the wooden ball from the games, you can exchange it for a chocolate before you exit. There's also the factory tour where no photos and videos are allowed but staff will explain to you how chocolates are being made. Overall it was a fun experience!
Ong L — Google review
Nice place to visit and lots of fun, but it can get pretty crowded on holidays. The chocolate is good and the displays are cool, just try to come on a weekday if you want to avoid the crowd.
Nomyen — Google review
Highly recommend visiting the Phillip Island Chocolate Factory! Everything was set up beautifully from the moment we walked in. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. The tour was really informative — we learned so much about the chocolate-making process in a fun and engaging way. It’s a very family-friendly place and definitely suitable for kids. There’s so much to see and do, and the interactive displays kept everyone entertained. The arcade games were a huge hit — they made the visit so much more fun, and winning chocolate is always a bonus! Toilets are available both at reception and inside the factory, which was really convenient when visiting with little ones. A perfect day out for families — we’ll definitely be back!
Jen G — Google review
This was was an awesome place for kids to tour on a rainy day. They enjoyed it very much and the self guided tour was more entertaining than we expected.
Sameera A — Google review
Chocolate prices are not cheap $19 for a small packet of chocolate buttons. I saw nobody buying any chocolates from your shop... Everything is for display only because nobody wants to pay this much for little chocolate. Also, the chocolate tour was busy with tourists which is $24.00. Clean rest rooms. Theres a cafe also and have robots bringing you the food but followed by the waiter/waitress as they need to serve the dishes and place them onto the customers tables. Friendly staff at the cafeteria. Nice menu

A clean, organised little exhibit. Great for kids. It's interactive and our girls had so much fun looking at the displays, trains and games. Would recommend.

The Wooli Tavern is a family and pet-friendly spot known for its affordable and delicious tavern-style meals, including modern dishes. The menu offers classic options like chicken parmigiana, beef and vegan burgers, as well as a tempting dessert selection. This Cape Woolamai establishment is perfect for casual or celebratory nights out, offering live music on weekends. Guests can choose from various seating options, including the main dining area, bar seating, or outdoor umbrella-shaded tables in the beer garden.
Very busy, very popular tavern at Cape Woolamai in the Philip Island, had lunch here with my cousin and her hubby and was rocking from the moment we arrived. My Prawn Aglio E Olio was spectacular, and just the right level of chilli spiciness. My fiancee's fish and chips were perfect, too. Prices were not to bad either. Service was spot on. Very impressed with our lunch experience.

Woolie Tavern on Phillip Island is a popular spot with locals and perfect for a casual meal. We dined outside as the weather was too good to miss. We had the pumpkin, tomato based gnocchi which was quite intriguing and unusual. The porterhouse steak special was deliciously cooked and came out as a scotch fillet, which was an upgraded cut in my eyes. The kingfish entree was absolutely outstanding, and the bar staff were so welcoming and attentive. The meals were served promptly and with a smile. All in all, Woolie Tavern provided a very pleasant dining experience.

We had such a fun time at The Wooli Tavern! The place is cosy and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff are super friendly — especially Wayne, he’s such a nice guy! We went on Monday night for the steak with pepper sauce (so good!) and came back again on Tuesday for the parma, which was cooked perfectly. Everything was spot on — great vibe, great food, great people. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area! 🍻✨

A great spot to hang out with friends! The asian noodle salad was very tasty and I enjoyed it a lot. The lemon lime bitters from the bar was also great! The Wooli Tavern is a really nice spot with a lively community based atmosphere. The interior is nicely designed with lots of wood giving it a warm and inviting feel. Came for trivia night too and it was a great occasion where everyone was really friendly and welcoming.

Good honest filling pub grub. The salad was well seasoned with a nice vinaigrette. Nice staff with a relaxed atmosphere. Could probably get a bit loud on a busy night (I visited on a Wednesday night) Can’t really complain.

Popped in for some food and a drink after walking the headland from Woolamai Beach. Really friendly staff and a good atmosphere. MASSIVE portion sizes of delicious food, and a coeliac menu with plenty of choice 👌🏻

We had an unreal night here, the food was superb (special shoutout to the tuna entree, that was amazing!) The band, the atmosphere and the service were great too!
Annelise R — Google review
What an absolute gem of a place! We stumbled upon The Wooli Tavern while staying nearby, and it turned out to be the culinary highlight of our entire Australia trip. The food was exceptional — fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. Every dish we ordered, from the mains to desserts, was spot on. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do, which added to the relaxed, welcoming vibe. The ambience is casual yet thoughtfully done — perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Phillip Island. If you’re anywhere near Cape Woolamai or Cowes, this place is a must-visit. Easily the best food we had across Sydney, Melbourne, and the Otways — and that’s saying something.

Many people queuing up for the hotdogs they sell there, as there were not many food choices. The hotdog tasted nice, you can get a drink for an extra $4, not a bargain but that makes up a reasonable quick dinner before you head to the beach for the penguin parade.

Very helpful staff. We got good tips on how to get the most out of the attractions we booked. Colouful beanbags on deck to chill out on and info boards are great.

We are relieved to find an easily accessible Visitor Information Centre off the main road when we went to Philip Island on a whim without preparation of where to visit. The Big Wave is a popular tourist attraction in San Diego. It is a huge wave that surfers can ride.
Great accomodation. Clean and tidy beds and bathrooms. Kitchen comes with plenty of utilities including a cubed room and a fridge. An outdoor veranda, living room with a ping pong table among a small room with a ps3 and a dvd player. (the ps3 also plays films for a tech tip) This is for floor 2 anyway. Though every door has a lock which is quite good as long as you keep your key on you.

When visiting Philip Island, make sure to swing by Island Pies, a quintessential Aussie pie shop that’s a must-visit for any traveler. This charming spot offers an array of delicious pies, including their standout scallop pie brimming with fresh local scallops and the flavorful steak and cheese pie that strikes the perfect balance without being overly gelatinous. Whether you're heading in or out of the island, this delightful eatery is sure to satisfy your cravings with its hot and tasty offerings!
I ordered a scallop pie and a latte for breakfast. I really liked the taste of the scallop pie and was satisfied with the portion size. The latte had a slight sourness, which suited my preference. The atmosphere inside the shop was lively and vibrant. I’d love to try a different pie next time.
Yuki K — Google review
This pie store is conveniently located on the way to Philips Island, and we were glad to have a pit stop before it closed. I called ahead to inquire about their famous scallop pie, and the staff was kind enough to reserve two for us. We also ordered the cauliflower pie and Apple strudel, and each pie was delicious. They have a wide variety of hot pies and baked goods, and the cauliflower pie is a special treat (you don’t often see it). The apple strudel was perfectly made and not too sweet. If you’re in the region, don’t miss out on this place!
Y T — Google review
If you're going there for the scallop pie specifically it is worth it. It had 4 whole scallops & a nice creamy sauce. The other stuff we got was just standard bakery items nothing was above average.
Jeff 3 — Google review
Went in for the scallop pie but discovered the delight that is the caramelised onion pork pie... like wow. It was a solid 10/10 flavour sensation. If you ever go to Phillip Island, you have to stop there 🙌🏻

We just had to try the curry scallop pie, and it did not disappoint, great flavours and plenty of yummy scallops (yes, complete with roe sack). Top notch! Plenty of other pies for those no into scallops, then vanilla slices etc and great coffees too.

For the travelers, nice to have a try. There are over 4 scrolls in the pie. Also, the yellow sauce in the scallops let me feel home. There is a very local dish in HK restaurant (Cha Chaan Teng) which called 葡國雞Portuguese Coconut Chicken. The strong favor of curry, coconut cream and Turmeric is much more the same stuff
Yu Y — Google review
Passing by this restaurant few time during my stay at phillip island. Been told by wife that she wanted to try this scallop pie. So we stop over and give it try. First at all atmosphere was ok, service so so only. We do to go bought scallop pie and beef chuncky pie. The scallop pie ok but the beef chuncky is to beefty ( the beef smel yo strong ) over all so so
Collins V — Google review
Mmm, piping hot pie for breakfast! I was honestly expecting cold pie so maybe that's why I was so thrilled to bite into mine, first thing on a cold winter morning. The young lady at the counter was very helpful, when I asked the difference between regular beef pie (mince) and chunky (stew meat). The pastry was a touch on the bready side--but also flaky at the same time??--but it did the job of holding in all that saucy filling and made eating it without any plate or utensils much less messy. There was also a huge variety of sweet baked goods. There are about six small tables inside and some outdoor seating as well. And a small parking lot.

The Cape Kitchen is a fine dining restaurant located in Newhaven on Phillip Island, just 90 minutes from Melbourne. It offers panoramic views of the rugged clifftop and the Bass Strait, providing a stunning backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant takes pride in supporting regional Victorian producers, particularly those from Gippsland. Their menu features dishes made with local ingredients, including ricotta and buttermilk hotcakes with poached pear and orange curd for breakfast.
Breathtaking views over the ocean & superb food. Book in advance to avoid missing out. The decor has been kept simple and neutral which allows the ocean views to be the focal point as you enter the bright, spacious and airy room. Service was friendly. Great menu with so many amazing dishes, it was hard to choose! All dishes were beautifully presented, and tasted amazing with a perfect balance of flavour. Grilled prawns were so fresh and succulent, and the baby squid (calamari) tender. The lamb shoulder and the beef fillet were both cooked perfectly and were delicious. The Eton Mess was sensational with the orange curd, but the White Chocolate & passion fruit mousse looked and tasted sublime! Such a beautiful setting and delicious food - highly recommend.

We had lunch here to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was a 2 or 3 course set menu but you can choose the entre, main and dessert. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. I also liked the setting, view and atmosphere. It wasn't too posh that it felt suffocating but it was really nice and relaxed.

What a find! Having driven past this location for many years including its predecessor Shearwater Cafe, tucked away off the main highway, on the south side of the island, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast (9:30 sitting) for a party of 13. Staff were lovely, bacon and eggs excellent and the standout was the ricotta hot cake. Incredible views, nice shaded outdoor seating area and all round top experience. Can’t wait to return and looking forward to the new hot springs development under construction, which they say is opening by early 2022

Phillip Island Nature Parks is a conservation park that offers visitors the opportunity to observe penguins and other animals in their natural habitat. The park features the famous Penguin Parade, where thousands of fairy penguins return to their nests in the sand dunes at dusk, providing a unique and unforgettable experience. Additionally, the park provides access to Seal Rocks and the Nobbies.
Love, love, love this!! Such a great time, remember to bring jackets it gets cold at night. We saw a massive amount of penguins and we explored the area during the day also and saw some penguins in their nests. Si ch a great experience and love the information given to us prior. Highly recommend.

A super cute experience I would highly recommend all of friends to come to a visit to see the little penguin. We got the chance to stay in the experience ticket which cost more however I will say that’s really deserved because you really can see the penguin came back to the home. Also was the experience ticket you have your own bridge which you can see the penguin get back home to avoid the general tickets stand crowded.
Jasmine S — Google review
Incredible experience, over 1000 penguins returning home every evening. We paid extra for premium plus seating and the penguins were walking right up to us. We went in June and Penguins arrived at 5:50pm. The rain held off just long enough for us to wait about an hour and half. Tip bring gloves, scarfs, raincoat and thermos in winter. It still gets very cold and windy by the water. I might add there’s no photos allowed past sunset but we got lucky and got to see this guy come back just before sunset.
Anna C — Google review
We heard so much about this experience. We could not wait to see the penguins. We decided to go on a tour and the last stop in the tour was the penguin parade. It far exceeded our expectations. However, we should’ve purchased the VIP tickets for a better view. Also, I suggest having a puffer hat and a scarf because it was cold! I really loved the gift shop because there were different types of gifts, depending upon people’s preferences and multiple communities were represented too. I got the cutest tea towel and A-to-Z animals book for my baby.

Oh, Philip Island Nature Park is an absolute natural park. 🌿🐧 It's home to some incredible wildlife and stunning natural beauty. One of the highlights is the Penguin Parade, where you can watch the adorable little penguins waddle ashore at sunset. It's a truly magical experience! The park also has koala conservation centers, where you can see these cuddly creatures up close, as well as beautiful coastal walks and pristine beaches. It's a must-visit destination for any nature lover or animal enthusiast. You're in for a treat, mate! Enjoy your time at Philip Island Nature Park! 🐧🌊

Our Go West tour was specifically for my wife and I to see the Penguins in their habitat and to watch the Parade. We were able take video and pictures along the boardwalk by the ocean. The boardwalk was safe for my wife to walk and we definitely enjoyed seeing the penguins; I mention this because it shows how important safety is to this organization for folks who come to visit especially if they are physically disabled or families with buggies. And seeing homes made for the little penguins and the well kept natural homes for them was amazing. When it was time to go to the visitors center we enjoyed an early dinner. May I say that with the number of guests eating at the restaurant the quality and plating of each dish we ordered was delicious and well presented. I observed your restaurant manager, Heni, take the time to look for guests whose food had been made but not picked up because they were sitting where the buzzers didn’t reach them. In all my time I’ve never seen that level of customer service before. We so enjoyed our overall experience of the penguin parade even with the rain and earlier then expected closure due to safety concerns with thunder and lightning. In addition, I am writing to let you know what an amazing group of people you have working at the Phillip Island Nature Parks. Every person we came in contact with was kind, helpful, and wonderful. Stephanie and others assisted my wife who needed the buggy down to and from the viewing platform as walking is strenuous for her; your staff assisted and made sure she had a place to view the penguin's waddling to their homes. On my walk back to the visitor center as my wife was on the buggy one of your orange vested staff shared information about the bandicoots and the story of their reemergence on the island (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name, you were knowledgeable and friendly). And Steven, thank you for taking the time to speak with me about some of what I wrote here. Thank you all for your efforts and love for Phillip Island Nature Parks flora and fauna.

First of all, large parking area! Arrived quite early so there was ample time to go through the merchandise and showcases without the crowd. We sat at the general viewing right by the inner corner to have better viewing. Most of the penguins will arrive near the penguins plus area- when I return with my family, I would pay extra to get penguin plus experience. The penguins are quite far away to see from the general stand but later you get to see them climb up the trek in the deck. You'll see the chick's waiting on their parents which was so cute. It gets very cold so wear closed shoes/warm clothes and bring a towel/hot drinks/ hotpacks. Unfortunately some of the tourists did not comply to the rules and kept taking photos which made the penguins startled. I hope there will be a stricter rule regarding this.

Forrest Caves, located along the Phillip Island Tourist Road in Victoria, is a hidden gem boasting pearly white shores and erosion-formed sea caves. While it's a popular surf spot, its unpatrolled waters make it less frequented by families and tourists seeking to swim. Accessible during low tide, these sea caves are formed from red basalt rocks eroded over time, creating hollowed chambers with naturally formed holes in the ceiling.
A stunning spot with sea caves carved into red cliffs, best visited at low tide. A short walk over sand dunes leads to a hidden beach—perfect for photos and exploring nature’s beauty
Moditha A — Google review
It's a lovely beach to walk along during low tide. The two rocky patches are fun to explore. To get to the caves, turn left when you come down the stairs (with 83 steps) to the beach. There were nasty March flies when we were there. To access the caves turn right towards the sea when you reach the rocks. Don't walk past the rocks. The entrance is accessible during low tide of at least 0.5m. Any deeper and I reckon it could be dicey. Free parking.

The Forest Caves at Phillip Island are a hidden gem! Walking through the lush greenery and exploring the rock formations feels like stepping into a magical, serene world. The trails are well-marked and easy to follow, making it a peaceful and relaxing experience. It’s a great spot for nature lovers and anyone looking to enjoy some quiet time surrounded by the beauty of the forest. Perfect for photography and a calm getaway!
Shafraz F — Google review
Beautiful, low-laying rock formations crafted by centuries of salt water erosion. The beaches are clean. View are stunning. Access is free. Parking lot with bathrooms, available 🅿️ 🚻. What is left on the beach is interesting. In windy weather, and high tides, the caves are partially inaccessible. But it makes for large waves. 🍃 There are no designated walking tracks, with most formations being along the beach in the Southern part of Phillip Island, so dress with beach-appropriate shoes ⛱️.
Andrew K — Google review
Check for low tide and calm waters for a lovely visit to the caves. You can enter it from the beach side or the waterside (only during low tide). Not a very busy beach and the beach with caves is a great visit if you're visiting Philip Island.

Churchill Island, located off Phillip Island, is a serene escape with its historic farm offering animal demonstrations and wagon rides. The island boasts easy walking trails and cycling tracks that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the stunning scenery and wildlife. Explore the old homestead and heritage working farm to witness daily activities and interact with animals. The island's historical significance as the first European settlement in Victoria adds an extra layer of intrigue to its allure.
Churchill Island is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. It has lovely walking tracks with views of the ocean and plenty of wildlife like wallabies and birds. The old farmhouse and buildings show what life was like in the past, and there are fun farm activities like sheep shearing and cow milking that kids will enjoy. The island is clean, well-maintained, and easy to explore. There’s a café with tasty food, though a little expensive. Parking is easy, and the staff are friendly. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxing day with family or friends.

Wonderful place for a picnic or a day out. Nice for families with kids. You can walk around the farm for free. But if you wanna go inside and see horses and other animals you need to get a ticket which is not expensive.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars Churchill Island offers a very nice view and friendly staff. The highland cattle are adorable and add to the charm of the place. There are plenty of games to enjoy while waiting for the shows. During our visit, we played chess and watched the cow milking demonstration, which was quite interesting. They also have a sheep shearing show, but our group wasn’t interested in that, so we decided to skip it and head home.

What a pleasant surprise! Got to snap some amazing shots of the highland cows, and the lambs at the nursery were unbelievably adorable. Had a lovely stroll through the place, worth every minute!

The experience was fun, had a good time watching a sheep shearing and hammer the dog guiding the sheep🥰. The view was amazing as well you can really enjoy it with your kids, partner or even with your family. The cafe was a little pricey on the side. My partner got a vanilla milkshake but so disappointed, we can’t even taste the vanilla flavour nothing look alike the one in the picture they posted. It looks like they just put a milk and blended it. All we can taste is the bubbles from the milkshake. The farm itself was nice but the cafe was not.

Very good museum and well worth a visit. Very friendly helpful staff and a good cafe as well. Hopefully they get the money to finish off other vehicles waiting to be restored.

Such an incredible part of Australia wartime history, seriously well presented with a balance between sit and listen and walk and read. Excellent articles of interest keep the reader engaged while exhibits both tell a story of their own and inspire. Add to that the staff are truly helpful, don't push or rush and the cafe is on point. Defo try the Yoyos!

Churchill Island has been overhyped a bit. There is one decent trail to hike and an hour's worth of demonstrations on the farm costing AUD $16 per person. The food at the cafe is good and filling. Not much else to mention about this place. It could be skipped if one has limited time to enjoy.

Nestled just across the bridge from Phillip Island, San Remo Fishermans Co-Op is a must-visit for seafood lovers. This charming spot has been delighting visitors since 1948 with its own fleet of fishing and lobster vessels, ensuring that every bite is fresh and flavorful. Locals rave about their fish and chips, making it a popular choice for Friday night dinners. With stunning views of the foreshore, you can savor your meal while soaking in the beautiful surroundings.
Extremely friendly staff, and food was spot on. Prices were good and we got extra in our order for free so no complaints from us. Does get busy but who cares, they have heaps of staff and plenty of fryers so barely had to wait. Besides its right on the beach so you'd be happy to wait. Plenty of tables inside and out. Can't pick a fault ( except maybe parking around penguin feeding at 12)
Star M — Google review
San Remo Co-Op is such a great little stop on the way to Phillip Island, especially if you’re heading to see the penguin parade. It’s a no-fuss, self-service style place with two sections – one for cooked meals ready to enjoy, and another with fresh seafood you can take home. You can grab your food and choose to sit inside for a casual vibe or outside to soak in the coastal air. The menu isn’t huge, but what they do serve, they do well. Everything feels fresh and straight from the sea, which makes a big difference in flavor. The fish and chips are light, crisp, and not oily, while the seafood fry-up is generous and cooked just right. It’s the kind of simple food that speaks for itself when the ingredients are fresh. If you’re into oysters, definitely try them here – they’re plump, clean-tasting, and served at a very reasonable price. I got Tasmania oyster. Overall, San Remo Co-Op is not about fancy dining but about honest, quality seafood that hits the spot.
Somboon L — Google review
San Remo Fisherman's Co-op is a Ripper! 🐟 I'm absolutely stoked about San Remo Fisherman's Co-op! This spot is buzzing with activity - always busy, always bustling! The queue might be near reaching the door, but trust me, it's worth the wait. Their fish and chips are straight outta the fryer - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside... perfection! I had barramundi and flake fish, and mate, it was love at first bite! You can also grab some fresh catch straight from the boat, but be prepared to pay a bit extra - it's top-notch quality, worth every penny! If you're a seafood fanatic like me, you won't wanna miss this place. Five stars, hands down! Get in line and give it a go!" 👍🐟
Bibin T — Google review
The number of reviews kinda give it away- needless to say the best fish and chips I had in VIC ( disclaimer: I haven’t had many but I’m from NZ hopefully that strengthens my opinion;)) We got fisherman’s basket, seafood market, crumbed mullet and beef burger and chips. I had better beef burger but the rest were amazing.
Aimee L — Google review
Not been here for many years, but it is a ‘must visit’ when in the area. Was very busy (and noisy) midweek and difficult to find a table for four. I am not a fan of eating out of a cardboard box, but this is a ‘take away cafe’ and this is what you get. So is acceptable for this type of venue. I also found $12.00 a little excessive for a small piece of grilled fish. Scallops, prawns and dim sims were excellent. Staff are doing their best I am sure!
Leone-and-John — Google review
There's a few "San Remo Fishermans" / fish and chip restaurants along the same stretch of road so remember to search for "San Remo Fishermans Co-Op" specifically. After you turn in from the main road, remember to turn right and drive all the way in. We came when it was raining and there's not many seats within the restaurant so most people ordered takeaway or ate at the sheltered areas outside. The staff was very efficient in terms of taking orders so the ordering queue cleared quite quickly and wait time for the food was less than 10 minutes. Fish burger was interesting where the fish is not fillet but steamed form. Have to be careful for fish bones inside. The calamari and spring rolls were plain. If you come at 12 noon, there's a pelican feeding at the beach so do come on time for a good photography opportunity!
Ong L — Google review
I had been three times here. Fresh fish and chips and The grilled octopus was best 👌 But some of tourists feed the seagulls, management control seems necessary.
하이에나(Hyena) — Google review
We watched the pelican feeding first then went for a walk . Returning around 2 pm for a late lunch however the eatery was still busy. We enjoyed 6 King prawns 🦐 each,so we'll presented. Then shared salad, flake and chips...great value plus the crispest thin batter😋 Shame there are so many rude and piggy people about.Leaving such a mess for staff to clean up.

Nice afternoon for lunch by the water on a Sunday (during school holidays) Quieter part of town which is nice. Was very busy so the staff were doing their best to pump out food (approx 1 hour wait). The food was fresh and tasty. We had: - Fish & Chips - Poke Bowl (vego option) - Dips with Flat Bread All were great but there could have been a bit more flatbread to dip ratio for $17 (still tasty though) Thanks for a great afternoon out.

The food at Saltwater was incredible! The seafood was exceptionally fresh, and both the pizza and seafood linguine were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the stunning views over the water are truly unbeatable. Although there was a longer wait for food on this visit, it was absolutely worth it once the dishes arrived. We would have appreciated being informed that the kitchen was closing at a certain time, as we had hoped to order more food. That said, everything we did have was excellent, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

The service was a little sub par. It took 3 times to get our drink order right with 2 waiters arguing at our table. However the food was great and they were able to make a delicious gluten and dairy free pizza for me. Decor was lovely and the view on the water was amazing. Not suitable for coeliacs.

Took the punt of eating here after seeing some reviews noting long waits with food. 7 of us enjoyed great food that come out quick, we took the option of eating in what they call their private keg room which was as they advised a quiet area to talk but was more of an area around the side. Staff were attentive, quick to serve, quick for drinks and will return next trip again. Seafood chowder was one of the best chowder dishes I’ve had. Thanks

Kelp San Remo is a popular dining spot on Phillip Island, conveniently located near the bridge connecting Newhaven and San Remo. The restaurant boasts a charming coastal-inspired interior with warm lighting, creating a welcoming ambiance. Since its opening in late 2021, Kelp has quickly gained popularity for its diverse menu offerings, including breakfast bagels and birria queso tacos. Guests can also enjoy tapas and cocktails in this vibrant setting.
5 stars = would come back Great food, delicious and very fresh. The pictures will do the rest of the talking. For those conscious about this kind of thing: the prices seem high, it was exactly $90 for what you see in the photos plus a beer. Although very worth it in my opinion if the food deserves it.

What an amazing dining experience. From the service to the cocktails to the food, all faultless. The best Mexican tapas, with a twist, I have ever had. Will definitely return again when visiting the area. Thanks to the whole team 🤗

Kelp is always a must to visit for us. The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is funky, and the service is quick. The burgers and tacos are mouthwatering, the cocktails and on-tap beer are top-notch, and the kingfish ceviche is consistently amazing. It's definitely one of the top restaurants on the Bass Coast!

Visiting from Sydney and my local Melbourne friends and so glad we found Kelp! The vibe is relaxed but stylish, and the staff were genuinely lovely, welcoming and attentive from the moment I walked in. I had the fish tacos and ceviche, both were fresh, flavourful, and beautifully done. And the Mango Bongo cocktail was a standout because it’s tropical, refreshing, and just delicious. You can tell there’s real care in everything they do here. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to next time I’m in town!

Such a great spot for dinner and cocktails in San Remo! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and so fresh - the prawn tostadas and peach spritz cocktail were the stand outs. The restaurant was busy but the service was on point - couldn’t fault a thing! So nice to see more exciting dining spots popping up on Phillip Island. We’ll definitely be back!

True hospitality here. Everything is considered and calmly executed. No arrogance and crew is proud of what they have created as a whole experience. Locals passing find it hard not to stop and say hello to staff. Food is always fresh and lovely and so importantly, consistent! They always do their best for walk ins and stagger bookings so kitchen never seems to be unpleasantly pressured. Always a very enjoyable experience. Have been at least 6 to 8 times. Very well done Kelp crew.

Everything was 5 stars. Food was amazing. Make sure you call ahead and make reservations. We walked in and they made room for 6. Wonderful staff. Really spot on service. Cozy atmosphere and I wish we didn't devour the food so I could share some pics. If ur going to stop and see Phillip Island. Make sure you stop by here.
