The Frying Pan Inn is a charming pub located in the heart of Falls Creek's Village Bowl, offering a delightful selection of classic craft beers and delicious barbeque-style dishes. The rustic-inspired atmosphere adds to the dining experience, while the adjacent bakery provides convenient breakfast options and delectable treats. Visitors rave about the mouthwatering pork ribs, crispy chips, and charred broccoli, followed by indulgent desserts like sticky date pudding.
Great cozy restaurant with such a variety of food options. The food was really great and the portions are really generous. The staff is really lovely and service is super fast in comparison to the people they were serving on the night. One of the only few places open in off peak autumn season when we visited. Highly recommend this place.

Went to the frying pan inn 3 nights in a row, was soo worth it everytime. Got the lamb backstrap everytime, was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend

Food and atmosphere were great. The ribs fell of the bone and melted in your mouth, the popcorn shrimp had a really nice spice and the vegie burger looked great. Ordering via QR code is quick and easy but would be better if it included drinks as well. For some reason our table was the only one without a bottle of water already on it and we had to get our own from the bar. We had an early booking but it was already getting very busy, seems like it attracts big groups.

Amazing atmosphere! Cozy feel with a side of delicious food too, Definitely worth coming to if u need a break from the slopes.

Wow! What a feast!! Food, service and atmosphere all 10/10

Would give this place 6 stars for atmosphere if we could! It felt like something out of a movie!!! Food was fantastic - we had someone with coeliacs in our group and he was really well catered for and felt very comfortable eating there. I made an error with our dinner booking on the first night (I didn’t realise I hadn’t actually submitted it) but the staff were so friendly and kind and let us sit in the front bar. We loved it so much we went back for lunch the next day.

Fryers is awesome! The renewal of this fall’s creek institution since Traverse Alpine Group took over has been an excellent. Can’t fault the food, the atmosphere or the beverages. Great pub
Nyree F — Google review
The melts-in-your-mouth pork ribs were a true delight, perfectly complemented by the crunchy chips. The charred broccoli added a healthy and flavorful touch to the meal. And to top it off, the sticky date pudding was an absolute indulgence. What made the evening even more memorable was a breathtaking Falls Creek resort Thursday fireworks display right next to Frying Pan. The combination of fantastic food and a front-row seat to the fireworks made this an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Ski & Snowboard Areas
Falls Creek Ski Resort is the largest ski area in Victoria, offering 92 marked trails and 450 hectares of skiable terrain. The vertical drop of 380 meters is typical for Victorian resorts. With 14 lifts, including detachable express quad chair lifts, it provides access to a variety of runs. While some find the runs relatively short, late-season skiing on 'Rapunzel's Run' was particularly enjoyable.
This is a beautiful Ski resort with a stunning lake for fishing. It is also beautiful for hiking in the summer and mountain biking. The shops and restaurants were closed when we went there to have a quick look at the resort and wanted to grab something to eat. So just check restaurant opening times. But definitely worth a visit.
Ilana S — Google review
It was amazing place especially in the winter. We have enjoyed a lot. Paradise for ski people.
Sanny P — Google review
Great place, it misses on a star for the price as a lift ticket for 1 day is around $170. Definitely get the cheap passes if you are staying longer but otherwise just as expected, great lifts and good runs would come back

Fallscreek on 07 June 2025 Awesome light snow fall
Madhawa N — Google review
Great place to learn how to ski with lots of tracks for all levels 😁👍🏻 Best time to visit is during June-August as there is more snow that time. You can also rent lodges in front of the ski lift for convenience but keep in mind they are around $1200 per night. 😢 The staff are really nice and always strike up conversations with you on the mouse trap like “how’s your day going?” or “Give me a fist bump man!” 😝 The weather is really cold and I ended up not wearing my goggles because it was really snowy and foggy in that day. ❄️ I was a beginner and had just started skiing with no experience and I learnt quickly and went on to ski the blue and green tracks on my second day so I do recommend taking classes. ✌🏻 There are adult and child classes depending on your level. Definitely recommend Falls Creek! Staff are nice and lifts and transport are nice and well kept too! 👏🏻 Will definitely come back next year!
Chloe Z — Google review
Was my first time. Great resort awesome runs and all the staff that I came across were nice and helpful! Not even crowded and runs of all ski level. The slopes and terrains are breathtaking. Will definitely try to get back as soon as I can.

Really impressed with the skidoo tours. Such a wonderful way to see the resort. Bruce and co were really helpful in explaining the scenery.
Brett M — Google review
Disrespectful Pricing, No Support — We’re Going Elsewhere Spent over $2,400 for just 3 days of skiing with the kids — and on top of that, they charge you just to get the card for the lift pass. Had a genuine medical reason (broken toe) and tried to request the early bird discount after missing the deadline, but no response for over 3 weeks. No phone number. Just emails into a black hole. Customer service is non-existent, pricing is predatory, and there’s zero compassion or flexibility. Everything is overpriced — rentals, tickets, even kids’ lessons. The system is built to extract every dollar while offering the bare minimum in return. We’ll be taking our family to a snowfield that values its visitors and treats them like human beings next time— Falls Creek is not it.

Falls Creek Mountain Bike Park

2.0
(1)
BMX park
The Falls Creek Mountain Bike Park, a renowned BMX park, offers an exhilarating outdoor experience for mountain biking enthusiasts. Situated in a picturesque location, this popular bike park is known for its challenging trails and thrilling descents. The park boasts an array of diverse tracks that cater to riders of all skill levels.
We visited here late April looking to get a taste of the trails. Unfortunately the shuttles weren’t running. They closed for the season April 19. I can understand why, it was 6 degrees feeling like 3 in the wind. So we opted to do a small loop close to the main complex up there. We found the bike in the main car park easily enough but actually getting to the trails was a different story. We decided to start with the Jumpstart/Vortex loop. We eventually found the start of the trail after walking our bikes up the stairs between Slalom Plaza and across the grass, but the directions could have been better at the trail hub. During the climb there were at least 3 occasions I had to stop at unmarked intersections and pull out my phone to check trail forks to see which way the trail went. Once we reached the top of jumpstart, which due to no signs, was confirmed by trail forks and we then had to look for Vortex. There were no signs whatsoever at the end of Jumpstart and the start of Vortex, or the other climbing trail the Generator. Without trail forks you would get lost good enough for a mountain bike park. I then went to look for the Flowtown trail and again struggled to find it as there were no signs at all from the road of even at the trail head. Nothing. I had to use trail forks again and loop behind a building and up over a small hill to find the trail head. There was even a fancy big sign roadside with a MTB’er on it but nothing to say to this way for Flowtown. The first flowtown sign I was at the 2 km mark. So look the trails were pretty good. Jumpstart was a bit rocky but suitably graded as a blue climb, Vortex was a fun decent, but rocky also. Flowtown was fun but rocky in places but nothing the 29er couldn’t handle with ease with its 140mm dual suspension. It was much rockier than say the flow trails at Mystic MTB park in Bright, those flow trails like Flowmingo and Hero are pure flow trails and an absolute joy that make you want to session them all day..and the next day. Once I finish Flowtown, I enjoyed it, but wasn’t interested in doing it again.

This is not fancy accommodation, but that is its charm. It has everything you need and little you don't, and for a nice price. It's well located near the road - the perfect base for road riding or mountain biking. The pool, spa, and sauna are perfect for easing tired legs post-ride.

We recently stayed at Falls Creek Country Club and, unfortunately, didn’t have the most comfortable experience. The beds were quite uncomfortable, and the pillows were very flat. There were no spare blankets in the room, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep — both myself and the other guest struggled with this throughout our stay. While the location is definitely a highlight — close to everything and offering great views — the overall facilities felt quite old and in need of an update. We stayed on the first floor, but it would have been really helpful to have access to the lift so we could exit on the fifth floor and avoid taking the stairs all the time. With some attention to comfort and facilities, this place could be a much more enjoyable stay, especially given its fantastic location.

Terrible Experience - Avoid This Hotel! The interior environment of the hotel is extremely outdated, and the bed linens were not clean. After sleeping for two nights, both my companion and I experienced itching and developed small red bumps on our skin. Additionally, the hotel did not inform us in advance that we were required to dispose of all our trash, including washing the dishes. Despite checking out early, the hotel charged us a $100 cleaning fee and a late check-out fee. We had already thrown away all the trash and placed the used dishes and cups in the sink (because we couldn’t find any cleaning supplies like dish soap). When I inquired at the front desk about why we were being charged an additional cleaning fee after paying $1400 for our stay, the front desk staff rudely and disrespectfully said, “I don’t care how much you paid.” We also paid a $500 deposit, but the additional charges were not deducted from the deposit; instead, we were asked to pay these fees separately. This was extremely disappointing. Such a rude attitude, combined with the expectation that guests clean dishes without proper supplies, makes me seriously question the cleanliness standards of this hotel. I cannot imagine how poor their overall cleanliness must be!
Linran Z — Google review
Great location, but having a laugh charging thousands for a room for a weekend that has multiple leaks in the roof and expecting guests to take out their own rubbish (not beyond this, just a bit odd when you're paying this type of money). Then when I took out the bins some bloke grumpily went through our bags at the bins to separate out the recycling, implying we were rude for not having done so already. How are we meant to know this was expected before we went outside? Maybe put an extra bin in the rooms if you want this done, or even any indication there are recycling bins available, or adjust your expectations. Sorry but I'm not going to separate my recycling from the rubbish bag in the snow as I'm trying to check out. Service was weirdly poor and rude. I'm not aaking for much when I want to check in to the hotel I paid thousands for. Why are you upset at me for it? Weird.
Pat M — Google review
The check-in experience is extremely bad! The service attitude of the front desk is bad. I recently checked in. I was looking forward to a comfortable stay, but the service attitude of the front desk disappointed me, which can even be said to be a bad nightmare! When checking in, an older female staff member drooped all the way. This serviceless and extremely unprofessional attitude is completely unin line with the standard of a regular hotel. I paid money to stay in the store, but not only did I not enjoy the due service, but also suffered a lot of anger. This kind of experience is really bad! I really don't recommend you to come to this hotel. The front desk service is like this, and other services are really difficult to reassure!
Can C — Google review
The location is alright. But it is far away from any major chairlifts which could be an inconvenience for some, the verbal room we stayed in was filthy, the bathrooms and shower were covered in other people hair and the bathtub was covered in some weird residue which caused myself and someone else staying with to get an infection. The bar and restaurant are always closed and the pool & sauna are really unhygienic don’t mind the place overall great view but it’s quiet grotty 🫣

Falls Creek Oversnow is a convenient and friendly service that helps visitors transport their luggage and themselves from the car park to their accommodations. The experienced team provides excellent service, despite potentially stressful circumstances during busy periods. The location offers limited terrain during the opening weekend, but can still be enjoyable for skiing and snowboarding. Additionally, there are various amenities available such as restaurants, cafes, ski gear rentals, and accommodation options.
A perfect place for skiing and spending the weekends. The place has restaurants, cafes, skiing gears and accommodation. Skiing gears can be rented as well. There are lessons for skiing if you are a beginner.

Very friendly service from the experienced team under stressful circumstances. It can get busy and hectic but they hold the fort with the grumpy visitors after a long drive, well that was me anyhow haha 😂 if you haven’t been here before, you drop your bags off, then you follow the van to drop your car off in the car park and they drive you back. Too tip is to get the kids/partner to line up whilst your gone as it takes awhile to move up the queue. Relax and be patient!

The Last Hoot - Cafe, Bar & Pizzeria is a year-round restaurant located at the bottom of the Falls Creek Express, offering stunning views of the Kiewa Valley in Victoria's high country. It's a favorite spot for enjoying delicious pizzas and pasta while watching the day's activities on Wombats Ramble from its sun deck.

Generally good service but it can get quite busy so you may need to be patient. Not as many tables this year (2025) but so far, we've been able to get seating for 3 of us for lunch. I love the "The Trev" seafood pizza; the big size is great for two hungry people and tastes gorgeous. My GF son in law adores the GF pizza offerings and a big thank you to the chef who spent time telling me about the yummy GF pizza base. "Best-ever" GF pizza according to my son in law !

We had a delicious soup and mulled wine. Great atmosphere. Love looking at the snow all cosy with our wine. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

The waiters were nice when handing over our order but the pizza dough actually tasted like cardboard. I would've much rather eaten the carpet of our apartment cause it'd probably have more flavour. The toppings and sauce were decent but we're absolutely ruined by the dough. I think the dough was store bought frozen dough from woolies. We checked the reviews and the dough didn't look like that in any of the pictures. Not sure why we got it like that. With better dough this place could definitely be a 4 star.
Skye S — Google review
I arrived at 4 and tried to order food. One of your staff told me that the kitchen opens at 5:30, so I ordered a drink and waited at one available table. At 5:10, the staff came over and told me that our table was reserved(with no signs on my table) which is absolutely unprofessional and unfair for taking reservations for others and pushing us away. Part 2, we accepted it and agreed to change table, and asked if we can move one of tables so my friends can seat together then guess what l, two kitchen staff ran out from the kitchen and yelled:"I don't like your attitude. You can just leave." Tell me who is having attitude in deed? The most worst part was that when my friends was asking what’s happening the kitchen staff said, "The door is over there. Have a good night." 0 star service and business operation.

Located right at the end of Wombat's, The Last Hoot is on the first floor. Beers and pizzas are essentially the stable. I highly recommend booking in advance as the place is packed during the peak period! Family friendly and high chairs are available upon request.

Made a reservation for a Friday night. The staff were kind enough to call us before we came in and let us know that their pizza oven was broken. I don't think many places would do that, so big thank you to them for thinking ahead. Although the pizzas were recommdend to us and we were looking forward to them, we really enjoyed the alternative burgers. We had the American cheeseburger and chicken burger. Both were delicious on brioche buns and the chips 🍟 were great too. My only feedback would be the dining area is very dark and could use a touch more lighting. The prices are extremely reasonable and are a huge draw card to visit again and again (which we did the next day).

Unacceptable Service As a regular customer, I'm deeply disappointed by today's experience at Last Hoot Pizza. Our group of 10+ people arrived at 4 PM and waited patiently for TWO HOURS after staff confirmed a specific table was "available." Suddenly, we were told it was reserved (though no reservation sign was present). We reluctantly squeezed into a tiny unreserved table, then tried to solve the problem ourselves by moving an empty, unreserved table nearby to accommodate our group. Shockingly, a staff member rushed out from the kitchen, yelled at us, and demanded we leave—as if we were trespassers instead of paying customers.😭😭😭

The bone marrow is the best that I have ever tasted in my life. The grilled corn is very enjoyable, however the ribs are mid despite being their specialty. The BBQ here really lets the place down. It could be so good. Just cook it longer guys. It's so chewy and tough, Get it to 95c internal or until you can probe it like butter. Please. This place would be so good if you perfected your BBQ. The cocktails were great, the location is great, the atmosphere is solid.

The staff are lovely and very accommodating. We enjoyed the atmosphere and meals so much the first time we ate there that we ended up having another dinner during our 4 day stay at Falls. We can highly recommend the Porterhouse and Louisiana Style Brisket. On another note, I was very impressed that they called to check we were still coming as we were a little late.

Service was excellent, fast and prompt. Came as a returning customer from 12 months ago as the food was great last year. Unfortunately this time when the meats came to our table it was like trying to chew a dry leather boot. When asked about the meat, was told that that's just how it is. Given the cost of the place, expected far better. Hopefully just a bad cook this time. Will not be going back and would not recommend.

Nestled in Falls Creek, Astra Falls Creek is a luxurious lodge offering ski-in/ski-out access and top-notch amenities. The rustic-meets-glam exterior sets the tone for an alpine decadent experience. Inside, guests are greeted with designer interiors and impeccable attention to detail, from the state-of-the-art boot room to thoughtful touches like complimentary marshmallows for roasting by the fire.
Astra is hands down the best place to stay in Falls Creek. The service is professional and friendly, and the team really takes care of everything. The free village shuttle was super convenient, and we really appreciated the secure, lockable storage for all our gear. The spa and sauna were perfect for relaxing after a day on the snow is including in the cost. The whole place feels welcoming and well looked after — it’s clear they know how to run a proper alpine hotel. Would definitely come back.

This was our second time staying at Astra and it did not disappoint again. Shuttle pick up at the transfer station was prompt. Greeted on the street with our wrist bands (keys to everything) and shown our locker. Locker room is big and lockers for skis etc were great. The Deluxe Room is on the small side, but still comfortable. The only negative was the paper-thin connecting doors which let just about every noise from next door through. For the price, Astra should invest in some better sound proofing. The pool/sauna/steam (included if you are staying there) were great. The location is about as central to everything as you can get. Ski in/out is a bit of a stretch but the Falls shuttle stops nearby. The staff were all amazing. The bar/fire is the best on the mountain. Breakfast (included) was perfect. Second time staying here. Friendly and helpful staffs. Wonderful experience since picking up from our house to taking us to the room. The room has always been very clean and comfy. Easy access to the slope. We will be back again next year. See you again Astra :)
Veerawin K — Google review
Astra is really the perfect place to stay at Falls Creek. Attention to detail on everything - from the personal shuttle pick up when you arrive to the many little luxury touches in the rooms. The restaurant and bar are fantastic and it has an amazing curated wine list with some really special wines to choose from. Ski-in and ski-out convenience and the pool, spa and sauna make for the perfect recovery after a day on the slopes. Astra's reputation and international awards are well deserved.
Peter T — Google review
The Astra is second to none. A boutique ski in ski out resort to match the best in the world right here in our own backyard. From the moment you meet your driver to head to the resort you will not be disappointed. Second to none and worth every penny.
Toby R — Google review
The food here is terrible. It’s like the chef cannot cook and can only put salt and any salty condiments to flavour food. All the dishes we ordered are too salty, bad food and bad for health. If I didn’t need to pay after tasing a bite, I would not eat any of the dishes. 1. Prawn cake skewer - the sauce on top tastes like takoyaki sauce but the most salty dish among those we ordered. 2. Kangaroo tataki - salty but the waitress said it’s cured and it’s normal to be salty 3. Barramundi - on sauce. Again, it’s too salty. We avoided touching the sauce and ate only the fish. 4. Triple cooked potatoes - we overheard another table mentioning to the waitress that it was too salty so we told the waitress about this and the chef didn’t season it so it came out fine. Paying $162 (food only) and we cannot even have an edible food not to mention “fine” dining (!?). The service is also not good. The waitress did not refill our glasses of table water.
Grace C — Google review
In over 25 years of skiing in Australia I have not previously experienced the exemplary level of service provided at Astra. We've previously eaten in the restaurant which is one of the best in Falls Creek. We've previously had drinks in the lounge bar by the fire; undoubtedly the best atmosphere in Falls creek. But now we've treated ourselves to a stay at Astra. Brilliant! They've thought through everything a skiing holiday should be and tried to do it even better! The individual pick-up and transfer to the hotel, greeting on arrival & porter service for all the luggage is only the beginning. The in-house facilities are excellent: * Friendly attentive staff * Beautifully appointed and practically thought thru room design * Unparalleled ski storage facilities * Inviting apres-ski lounge and restaurant * Pool, spa, dry and steam saunas And the 'icing on the cake' is the last day / post check-out procedure, which is designed with the 'last day skier' in mind; something that is unusual in the industry. Seriously the best experience we have had in an Australian alpine hotel.
Real S — Google review
I’m disappointed with the communication I’ve experienced here. I emailed a week ago to ask about using the sauna and pool facilities without having a spa booking, but I never received a response. When I visited yesterday, I was told I couldn’t access them because I hadn’t booked a service that included the complimentary access. Had I known this, I absolutely would have booked accordingly. Unfortunately, the lack of communication & urgency for there customers on there end has left me very frustrated.

Restaurant
Cloud 9 Falls Creek is a top-notch on-snow food and beverage destination located at the peak of Halley's Comet chairlift. This beautifully refurbished venue offers a variety of options, from breakfast waffles and barista-made coffee to delicious cocktails and local beers. The Mezzanine Bar provides a cozy spot to relax and enjoy the stunning views. With vegan options available, such as roasted winter vegetables and pumpkin soup, Cloud 9 caters to all patrons.
We love Cloud 9. It’s such a traditional part of any trip to Falls Creek. The hot chocolates were awesome but in high demand during peak times and the food was really tasty. There were a few gluten free options but they were not coeliac safe. I took the risk and it was a poor decision. Won’t stop me going back! I’ve eaten there safely before so just a cross contamination risk. I would recommend a visit to anyone coming here.
Kathryn B — Google review
So average. $25 for a burger and no fries… guys cmon that is ridiculous. AND not to mention the renovations - let’s talk about it, you go to other restaurants on the mountain and they have heaters for people to dry their clothes… instead we’re all just leaving wet clothes on tables and chairs. Money grab mountain that’s what snow resorts are at this point. Nice to see other places not like this but nothing special to see here
Raquel — Google review
Excellent views to sit down and have a meal. We tried chips, sausage roll, pizza and pasta. It's probably an under statement to call it overpriced. Understand the business is seasonal, you need to hire seasonal staff and have to handle logistics of bringing food. But $19 for a bowl of chips, $17 for a sausage roll, ~$35 each for a small Pizza and bowl of pasta is just robbery. After all that, nothing is edible except for chips. Under cooked pizza had to be binned. Pasta is filled with olive oil. Everything is so bland and flavourless. I'll recommend other to go here for views but don't pay for any food. Just not at all worth it.
Harsha P — Google review
You delivered our pizza to the wrong table, and when we finally got it (due to the people at the other table realising it) it was no longer hot. Also, you hadn’t cut the pizza into slices. Your app sucks because it doesn’t list the phone international code for Singapore in alphabetical order, so it slowed down our order process. Duh! Lastly, please don’t guilt trip people into leaving a tip BEFORE we even experience the food and service. That’s ridiculous.
Andy K — Google review
As to be expected for a mountain venue it is massively overpriced, and food quality is average. Most disappointing though is that for a newly renovated space it’s grotty, and would benefit from some staff to wipe down tables and keep the place tidy. There’s also a huge underutilisation of space and insufficient seating, and the staff here very apparently would rather be pushing forks into their eyeballs than serving patrons with any kind of pleasantry.
Daniel B — Google review
You’d expect a newly renovated venue to make a great impression for a grand re-opening — but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The place looked messy, with sticky tables and dirty plates and cups left sitting around everywhere. We were there for over an hour and didn’t see a single staff member tidying anything up. They really need to hire more staff to clean up.
Scott J — Google review
Was a very busy place, food is very expensive but it was tasty, got the chicken burger and sausage roll with coffees, was all good tasting just very overpriced.
Sam B — Google review
The food is way overpriced making it beyond the average family to feed themselves let alone the kids. The new renovation is nice except they took out the heating and it is absolutely freezing in here everyone leaves their ski jackets on. The hot chocolate isn't hot. The beer is $18 a pint, a sausage roll is $17, and a pizza is $36. For a size that would only feed 1 person. Highly recommended that you find a nice warm restaurant or bar in the Falls Village bowl and eat there. Else it will cost you $1000 for lunch for the week.

Day 2

Southeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the southeast side side of town. Start the day off with Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Bogong High Plains. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp, operated by the YMCA, offers budget accommodation and accessibility options for people with disabilities. The camp provides a Trail Rider for exploring over 40 kilometers of aqueducts with service trails alongside, offering flat and easy routes amidst stunning alpine scenery. Visitors praise the affordability, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. The new accessible building is designed based on universal principles to cater to everyone's needs.
We just returned home after 3 nights at Howman's Gap. We stayed there for the Peaks Challenge at Falls Creek over the weekend. The accommodation was good, and the hospitality of Howman's was incredible. The food served was delicious, and the staff were incredible. Bike riders felt very welcomed, and spoilt by good and very early (4:30am) breakfast on the ride day. Dinner was also waiting for everyone at the end of the day. I wouldn't fault this accommodation, and we're considering coming back again as a family during the winter season. Nikko was very welcoming and friendly--we truly appreciated all his recommendations, even a better route for our drive back home! Thank you Howman's Gap!

Pretty Valley Hut & Camping Area is a beautiful and serene spot located higher than Falls Creek village, offering stunning natural beauty and plenty of photography opportunities. The campground is basic but provides a great starting point for various hikes around the Bogong High Plains. Visitors can enjoy activities such as walking, biking, and having a campfire at night. However, it's important to come prepared for the cold weather with warm bedding due to heavy overnight condensation.
This place is just wonderful. If in need of some fresh air some quite and lots of natural beauty you have to visit. Many photography opportunities. Walking tracks. Biking and some fire at night. We enjoyed Pretty Valley very much.

Camped here a couple of times, beautiful, higher than Falls Creek village so gets cold even in January, a fire makes the difference but you need to bring in own fire wood, ranger patrols area. Ensure you bring warm enough sleeping bag or bedding, heavy overnight condensation on swags, do a fly would be a good idea.

Snonuts Donuts is a popular spot located in Slalom Plaza, offering a variety of freshly baked treats such as cinnamon doughnuts, jam doughnuts, and churros. In addition to sweet options, they also serve savory snacks like loaded spuds, toasties, and crepes. Customers can indulge in their hot cinnamon-dusted doughnuts or opt for the extra indulgence of having them drenched in molten Nutella.
The hot and fluffy cinnamon doughts were exactly what I needed on a cold, frosty day. The doughnuts were delicious, and the staff were super friendly. I'd highly recommend the cinnamon flavour doughnuts.

How can a seemingly fresh jam donut, straight out of the deep fryer be so hard and stale? Definitely not cooked fresh. I tried the cinnamon donuts on my last visit and they were not lovely and fat and were also expensive. I would not recommend any of their donuts, they are just not good. I won’t be going for a third try.

David the owner is totally awesome. Super friendly and clearly takes a lot of pride in his establishment. Brekky and dinners were all awesome. There’s a cheeseburger croquette thing for breakfast that’s yum, and cheeseburger chusdays (Tuesdays) with a few cheeseburger options (1 up to 5 patties! Vegetarian also available) and $1 wings which were delicious. Back again for Friday dinner and the lamb shoulder was tender and succulent. Prawn burger also was a winner! Family friendly burger joint. Service was fantastic from all staff members - even the young man who was too young to take alcohol orders! Ordered the buffalo chicken wings, classic cheeseburger and the schnitzel burger. All were delicious. The food is not fancy or particularly instagrammable, but it was a comfortable and enjoyable night out with the kids (5 year old and 1 year old). They offered the 5 year old colouring, and the 1 year old Duplo blocks for entertainment, and put up with all the noise and mess that ensues.
