The place is easy to find, very interesting and filled with memorabilia from head to toe. The outside is decorated with hand painted portraits. Prices are reasonable considering what you get to experience. We went on a rainy day and had no one else in there with us. Its incredibly entertaining and informative. Highly interactive with lots of thing to see and hear. Atmosphere is awesome and super emersive. The guy running the place is also incredibly friendly and helpful. Would seriously recommend.

We had a history lesson here, staff are fantastic, you are well informed on all of Ned Kelly & other key individuals in Ned's capture , trail, site inspections . There is plenty of memorabilia throughout the town and paraphernalia for sale, t shirts, stubby coolers etc. We spent roughly 2 hours here but are returning on our return from Great Ocean Road Trip. There are Food Shops in the town & staff and locals appear freindly , food was served quick & hot & plenty of places to sit around or park & enjoy.

You certainly know where you are when you see The Big Ned Kelly in Glenrowan. Everything is well marked with interesting facts about what took place at the time. Parrots 🦜 in the fence were impressive that they could have a short conversation with you ~ It’s great that the local community keeps the town thriving.

Very nice center, where you can read and learn about the story of Ned Kelly and his gang's last days. Cheap ticket too, worth a visit, also to admire the architecture of the building.

Artistic and historical small town on our way from Melbourne to Milawa, it's a pity that I only allowed a 5-min photo break here. Will come back again to explore further.

The statue of Ned Kelly is such a great memorial to an icon of Australian history. Glenrowan is not far off the Hume Highway and is such a great small country town. If anyone is in the area, it will be great to stop in and explore the town with all its history. Thank you to all the staff and locals in the area, as they made it all feel like a beautiful, close country community.

Love finding big stuff and was really cool. The sculpture was very detailed and not at all busy with the background also being very scenic with views of hills and many other art pieces around. Over all one of the coolest towns I've been too and definitely a great place to stop on th3 way to you next holiday. Hope you like the photo

This was absolutely amazing - I didn't know what to expect but it was the best show I have seen in a long time!! It was informative and whoever thought this up is a genius - the hotel on fire with the bullets - feeling the wind go past like it was a bullet - the animatronics were amazing - don't delay and do yourself a favour and go for a look - you won't be disappointed

We had a great time very much worth a visit and ticket to see the animatronic re-enactment. Also a fantastic gift shop.

This place is fantastic!! It’s very informative and entertaining at the same time. I visited a few years ago and there seems to be lots of new additions from what I remembered, and some new frights 😂😂 Kids loved it as much as the adults, if not more! The two young men at the counter were lovely. Definitely worth the $35 ($25 for kids). Do yourself a favour and check it out on your way through

Loved every minute of it. I went to Kellyland as my children recommended I go through with my husband. Fantastic tour - I felt like I was actually a part of the show! A great way to learn about the Kelly story. Would recommend a visit. The tour runs ever half an hour so we didn’t have to wait long to go in.

A Wonderful show, surprising at every turn & very informative. So much work went into this presentation and production. An Exceptional experience well worth the $ and time. When we arrived in Glenrowan we were unsure what venue to look at first but we are so glad we chose this one. We didnt need to go to any others. Its the complete experience! As a local, I was pleasantly surprised with the Ned Kelly Discovery Hub, its information about local events, Ned Kelly history and general district history. The lovely young lady, Skye, showed us around, explaining things as we went. She is very informative and lovely to chat with. Highly recommend to visit with, not just tourists, but locals as well. 10/10!

A lovely relaxed space to refresh all things Ned before wandering around the area to explore the sites. I was as glad we stopped here first as it gives a really good overview that allows a better appreciation of the museum items too.

Brilliant centre. The 2 screened movies were superb. The viewing platform above was also a great way to see the lay of the town. Well worth the $5 entry fee. It was also awesome to see a group of primary school kids searching for the answers to the treasure hunt and all helping each other. Well done on a great facility.

Great little exhibit telling the story of Ned Kelly. I wasn't familiar with the story at all, but it sums it up in an easy to understand and nicely presented way. Then, if you're interested, you can walk right down the main street and go to kellyland and the museum to learn more. The hub is really nice and informative. Receptionist who sold us our tickets was really friendly as well.

They discovery hub was very interesting and informative. Unfortunately, much of the information was presented on etched glass which is highly reflective and difficult to read. The timeline of events leading up to the shooting of Ned Kelly was extremely informative.

Pretty good park with climbing equipment, swings, sea saw and slide. Tables and chairs with some undercover. It's right next door to the Ned Kelly visitor centre so you can access the viewing platform for free. Only downside is you have to park a bit further down from the park as there isn't parking right in front of it. It also isn't enclosed which might've been a good idea considering the main road/street is right next to it. Toilets are located on the other side of the Ned Kelly discovery hub.

This playground was ok, it had playground equipment and the basic necessities but that was basically it. The council might want to make sure there aren’t so many ditches in the park because after it rains it fills it up with water and nobody really wants there foot to get soaked in dirty water.

This site is such an important site to do with the Siege. There are ‘pole people’ of the police at the police shoot out site and 2 of the ladies near the train station who were on the police special train I believe wives of 2 of the police from Melbourne. The pole people are in bad need of attention. They have been there many years. Hopefully the Victorian government will make improvements to this area some time. With the amount of people who come here to visit every year and such a special place of significance something more needs to be done. Some native trees planted like they would have been in 1880, and more and new pole people or something like that to show how chaotic the scene would have been at the time. The signs are great in telling you the story. And the replica train station building is very special.

Was nice and quiet on the weekend, although it was a wetter day. Loved reading the signs and visiting the landmarks, although it was confusing at times where the starting point for the signs were. However, it was a really nice walk and a cool piece of history.

"Robert Edwards" of Swan Hill said he used to have Carriage Rides at Glenrowan back in 2011, to take people around to see the History (Photo taken in 2011). Will that ever return? Apart from that, the "Ned Kelly Museum & Homestead" (Photo taken in March 2024!) is the best place to go to, to find out all about the Local History. A small town, with a lot of History!

The historical site where the infamous busranger Ned Kelly was brought down and captured. To capture him, the police shot at his legs and groin as they were not hidden by his heavy armour. The sign posts are well done. We enjoyed our walk and whole Glenrowan experience. Worth the visit. Make sure you visit the Kelly Museum. It's expensive but enjoyable including a well done replica of the little Kelly house.

Really enjoyable trail explaining the history of Ned Kelly. All the exhibits are well signposted and most are within walking distance. An absolute must when visiting Glenrowan, but bring plenty of water as there is limited shade on the walk and it can get very hot!

Learnt a lot. I do wish the signs were in the clearer order. It was very confusing to go to sign 4 (where he was captured) only to realise that sign 5 happens before his capture. Still informative. Apparently the Kelly gang were fighting for the independence for north east Victoria (they wanted the country to be called the Republic of North east Victoria - not particularly catchy) Ned called off the other rebels and turned himself over after his brother and fellow gang member were killed. He took most of the blame for their crimes.

Best experience!! We last minute stopped by for a wine tasting and Kevin was amazing at educating us about wine and the processes. So welcoming, great atmosphere, and great wine with an amazing variety!! Interactive while also giving us space to discuss with each other, I would highly recommend stopping by, we left with 4 bottles! 🍷

A lovely winery near Glenrowan. So much history at the winery. It was established in 1870. All fruit for wines is grown on site. Lovely old cellar door with a small museum inside. Had a lovely tasting. We ended up buying Fiano, Rose and the Classic Topaque. Nothing wrong with the Reds, we are just getting low on Whites. Definitely recommend. What a perfect environment to have celebrated my 70th! Gorgeous restful native garden, excellent food and great wine. Not to mention the extra attention to detail - table beautifully set with white cloths under a billowing gum! Just fabulous. Had a great tasting experience with Kevin today. The wines are the delicious and affordable, the space is cosy and easy for kids, and the service was excellent. Would recommend!

We come here often as a family and will continue to do so for many years. The drive out is always spectacular with gorgeous views and immaculate gardens. The antipasto platters and pizzas are always amazing and the wine is fantastic. Although I do miss the fronti! However the Moscato and Topaque were delightful. The kids always have fun in the little designated play area and the staff are always lovely. Such a beautiful, relaxed and easy winery to visit. I would recommend booking because it has limited tables.

I've been visiting this winery since the 80's as I am addicted to their fortified wines. As one would expect the staff in their tasting room are knowledgeable and mighty friendly. On this visit we left with some Winemakers Selection Rare Old Muscat, 2019 Small Batch Organic Rosé and 2019 Organic Fiano. This is a destination winery as it is well of the beaten track but it is definitely worth the effort to visit this winery that have been making fine wines since 1870.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere, child friendly with a play area. Friendly, knowledgable staff...the young girl today reeled off desserts with no hesitation. Then there's the delicious food and full flavoured wine, my favourite in the region.

You gotta try their scones - so good! Milkshake with a top up on the side - great! Coffee is good too. Staff are efficient with quick service. Loo facilities are nice and clean. A great find. Highly recommend.

The food there is absolutely lovely - we had the scones and homemade pies. i milkshakes are a must try if you have kids and doung a road trip. The people running the place are polite and friendly. Unlike other regional towns we have visited in and around victoria - this place was clean, the food was quick and tasty and its a great stop to stretch your legs.

An easy place to stop. Clean toilets. Warm in winter. Comfortable. Good food and coffee. The butter you get with your toast isn’t solid as a rock. And let’s face it, you’ve probably had to stop at Macca’s or Hungry Jack’s before you got here. This place is welcome relief. Always recommend stopping here for a break, for a feed and a wander.

An absolute highlight. Traditional Devonshire teas done really well. Pikelets are delicious, and the best milkshakes I’ve ever had. Super friendly staff. Can’t rate it highly enough, well worth the stop.

Came here on Queens birthday so it was naturally busy and was understaffed. Even though the staff were run off their feet, the service and food were top notch. Thank you for a great lunch. Will be back!

This is a great Cafe to visit. I stopped here on my way to Melbourne. They have the best pumpkin soup with damper bread. Scones are fresh and soft. The service is good and staff is friendly.

Linda's pikeletts we're tip-top, and we had some of the best customer service I've experienced. The coffee was good, and Linda showed us an impressive loaf of sourdough she had baked. The atmosphere was cozy. Definitely stop by, it's well worth it.

Again getting off the freeway looking for real local made food. We struck gold at Ned's Burger House. Our burgers were brilliant. A brilliant meal stop choice.

This little treasure is located on the Main Street with car parks all along the front. The service is very friendly and the food was amazing! I got a minimum of chips and they were fantastic, golden thin chips with chicken salt to be exact! The prices were decent and there was plenty of seating on the inside for hot or rainy days. There’s a public toilet conveniently located across the road complete with a lovely park.

We have been to Neds many times on our trips to Glenrowan. Never had a bad meal here. The burgers are lovely along with the chips and gravy. Staff have always been welcoming and you really get value for money here. Neds beef burger and the Outback are delicious.

Rolled in late after a day on the road and the lovely workers cooked up some yummy fresh schnitzel burgers and hot chips for our family. Food was delish and great value too. Really clean kitchen and dining area too. Super helpful as I asked questions about options for morning breakfast in town too.

Just had lunch at this amazing place the customer s was rice was fantastic the food was not fatty and the burgers were very well presented and very nice will be back thank you Wendy.

We recently stayed at Glenrowan Kelly Country Motel and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. We booked four triple-bed rooms via Booking.com, using the filters and options provided by the platform. Based on that, the rooms were shown as available and suitable for our group, including young children under the age of 8. We made our booking in good faith. Upon arrival, we were accused of bringing in “extra people” and were charged additional fees — which we paid without issue. However, what was most upsetting was the rude and unprofessional attitude from the staff. Accusing guests of sneaking in “extra people” — when the booking clearly included small children and was made through a third-party platform — is not only unfair but also uncalled for. The management spoke to us in a disrespectful manner, even though the confusion appeared to stem from a mismatch between Booking.com’s system and the motel’s own policies. If the motel has stricter occupancy rules or does not accept young children in triple rooms, this should be clearly stated in their listing. Guests should not be blamed for discrepancies caused by unclear or inconsistent information. If someone is running or managing a business that hosts families, basic respect and politeness should be the minimum standard. We’ve travelled extensively around Australia over the past decade and have always been treated with respect by accommodation providers. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures future guests are treated with courtesy and professionalism — especially when issues arise from miscommunication between the motel and third-party booking platforms.

A quiet little motel within a 2 min walk of all the Ned Kelly attractions. Very basic but clean and comfortable rooms. Suits your needs if you're visiting for the Ned Kelly stuff.

Can't say enough good things about this great little motel. Very clean and modern room- quiet and very comfortable. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. There's not a lot going on in Glenrowan once you've gone up and down the main street, but you're only 10 min from Wangaratta if you need anything, and I'd much rather stay in Glenrowan.

Excellent centrally located motel run by a wonderful family that displayed excellent customer service and a friendly vibe that I really enjoyed. Rooms were well maintained and stocked with what you'd expect except the cookies, which were the best I've had at a motel! Thank you for having me and I look forward to my next visit.

Disappointed with our stay. Booked 4 triple-bed rooms for adults and kids as these comes for the option when we search the accommodation to book with the number of persons via Booking.com— On arrival, staff were extremely rude and even racist, had to do extra payment. In 10 years of travelling across Australia, we’ve never faced this issue. If your policy is different, update your listing or add a clear note on Booking.com. Treat your guests with respect.

If anyone one wants a stress free stay id strongly advice you not to. Stay here val is so rude she dosent know how to speak without yelling at people and it dosent even respect you if its done around children re my granddaughter today she will reply to my feed back but if you need recordings ii gladly share it ,your manners are un called for

We stopped off here on our way from Sydney to Melbourne as we were staying in Glenrowan. What a lovely surprise! Bob warmly welcomed us and told took us through a beautiful narrated journey of how the winery came to be. The wines are delicious and punching well above their weight for such a small family-run venture. The Durif and Reserve Shiraz are particular standouts. Bob's passion, kindness and hospitality made this an unforgettable tasting experience that has us telling everyone we know to stop by- we cannot wait to come back!

Going to Morrisons today was like dropping into a friend's house for a wine and a chat. We pulled the table into the sun as we spoke politics, religion( yes 2 taboo subjects), children, work and other subjects as we sipped and chatted to the owner Dianne. Family owned and run with no pomp and ceremony like the big wineries. Great views that feel like you're in France looking at the Alps in the distance. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you Di for letting into your little peace of heaven.

Excellent wines, lovely hosts and mindblowing jams - fig & ginger is to die for! Located couple minutes drive from the Glenrowan Pub...and the view is also worth to see.

Wonderful family run boutique winery. All wines are such good quality and reasonably priced. We bought a cheeky couple of dozen bottles! It's so lovely to be served by the owner/winemaker. Much more enjoyable than the large commercial wineries. A must visit if you're passing by Glenrowan!

There were a few wineries in Glenrowan and we decided to come to Morrisons after some research. And how glad we did. It's exactly the kind of business we love supporting - small, local, friendly, passionate, with a great story. Bob was lovely finding out how we like our wine before proceeding to the tasting recommendations. We ended up getting the premium and family reserve reds, the fiano garganega, and rose which we enjoyed very much. We may have found our regular wine supplier as they do free delivery. Winning!

Stopped in by chance on the way home, very glad I did! Bob took great pleasure in taking us through a tasting and explaining some of his small family wineries story and operation. Few nice wine and fortified varieties, favourites were the dry fiano and the muscat. All enjoyed with some beautiful views from the tasting bar! Will definitely return 👍

Had an amazing spontaneous visit to this winery on Saturday. Fantastic service by Bob, wine was great and took a bottle home to enjoy. The views and the property were beautiful- would highly recommend adding this as a stop on a road trip down the hume like we did or a great day trip from Melbourne! Thanks again for your tasting and service again on Saturday Bob- the girls and I loved it!

Genuine, family run winery that really cares about the quality of the product. Amazing wines, we were really surprised by the quality of their reds. There aren't many wines we rave about but these are a must try. Beautiful landscape and an amazing old cellar as well. This place is a must stop for those who enjoy a really good drop.

Not welcoming at all, while at our wine tasting the lady just stood there with her arms crossed not recommending any drinks or explaining the wine notes. The 2 men were caught up in conversion and never chatted with us. The wine tasted watered down and going from Baileys of Glenrowan to this was a major disappointment. Stayed at their accommodation and had a quiet peaceful stay, they had everything you could need provided and the wines are amazing. We will definitely be back.

Just spent an enjoyable long weekend at Taminick cellars with live entertainment, food stalls and of course excellent wine and views. Taminick is one of our favourite wineries in the area. It’s extremely understated and relaxed which is one of the reasons we love it! Great family owns and runs events here and we’re very happy to support them in any way we can

Beautiful wines... family owned cellar door + brewery with some of the oldest vines in the area with a lot of history and character. Can’t wait to be back and stay in the cottage. If you head to the more well known places in the area like Baileys be sure to check out this place too, just as nice if not nicer and no extra markup.

My Lord, please find somewhere also to eat. Managed to pull a piece of flake that was overcooked in the middle, cooked on the outside with raw batter in between. Chips were almost edible, either way the whole family of 4's food went in the bin.

I was here for lunch with a friend. We came just before closing and becuause of that there were limited food options left. The burger and chips were made extremely quickly, however were extremely mediocre. The baked options were also very average. Overall it was a very underwhelming visit, to the best restaurant in Glenrowan.

Nice little bakery/coffee shop in the middle of town. Seemed very busy when we called in at 11am today (Monday). Service was quick and they appeared to be a well oiled machine. Custard tart and vanilla slice were lovely. We'll be back.

A fantastic bakery cafe in the middle of a small but major town in Australias bushranger history.. Everything to eat is baked on the premises... so, you cant get it fresher than that. The staff are brilliant. Eat in or out the front on the verandah. Parking. On street and at the side entrance. Wheelchair access; use the side carpark and enter as the front has steps literally from the kerb.

We grabbed a delicious sausage role and pasty from the Bakery and had a picnic in the park near the hub. Lovely.

After a long drive from the Blue Mountains, NSW this was a great place to have a break. The coffee, pies and sausage rolls were the best that I have had for some time. Excellent quality and very tasty. The lovely lady who bakes and serves was very polite and helpful. Well done ✅

Average bakery for what I ate. Ordered a vegetarian pasty and a beesting. Pasty needed to be heated up (which they told me and I was fine with that), but when it came out it was a little bit soggy and didn't have that delicious flaky pastry, so I suspect it was either bad pastry or microwaved for a little bit. There was very little flavour in it and I could only pick out carrot, peas and mushed potatoes. Pasty was large though. Beesting was also a bit tasteless and the custard was a little firm and had a strange consistency.
