Nature & Parks
Ein Hemed National Park, located just a short distance from Jerusalem, is a picturesque nature reserve and national park. It offers visitors the chance to explore streams, dams, and shaded picnic spots. The park's natural beauty includes waterfalls and pools that are perfect for swimming or simply enjoying the serene surroundings. Additionally, nearby Abu Ghosh village is renowned for its delicious hummus, making Ein Hemed an ideal destination for a day trip from Jerusalem.
One of Israel's most beautiful places. Plenty of greenery and shade with lovely water streams. Beautiful location worth a stop but not a destination on its own. The highlight is definitely the crusader farmhouse. Amazing place even with lots of people Still you will find a quiet place
Alex D — Google review
Ein Hemed – A Green Gem at the Edge of Jerusalem Just a short drive from Jerusalem, Ein Hemed is a hidden treasure where nature, history, and family-friendly atmosphere converge. Nestled in the heart of the Ayalon Valley, this national park features a flowing spring, lush greenery, and the impressive ruins of a Crusader fortress known as Aqua Bella. It’s a perfect blend of heritage and tranquility, ideal for a relaxing day out. Ein Hemed is particularly popular for its accessibility and well-maintained picnic areas. Shaded by ancient trees and surrounded by vibrant plant life, the site offers a cool escape from city life. The spring water flows into a shallow stream, inviting children to play while adults enjoy the peaceful setting. In springtime, wildflowers blanket the area, adding bursts of color and fragrance to the air. What sets Ein Hemed apart is its historical depth. The remnants of the Crusader-era structure, with its massive stone arches and walls, tell the story of pilgrims and knights who once passed through on their journey to Jerusalem. Today, those stones stand quietly as visitors of all ages walk among them. Whether you're seeking a quiet picnic spot, a light hike, or a chance to explore centuries-old ruins, Ein Hemed offers a full and enriching experience in a truly magical corner of Israel.

This place is stunningly beautiful. It's more of a park & picnic area than a tourist site. There is a moderately well-preserved crusaders area fort that is cool. But as a lush green park with a creek it's unbelievable. Many park benches, places to sit creek side, and even a good number of well-kept water closets and sink stations. This is an outstanding place for a picnic or a day of rest.
Andy D — Google review
Lovely place. Would love to come back. Make sure to buy the fairy hunting game - kids and adults will enjoy.
Ido A — Google review
Could be a beautiful park however it was super crowded with ultra orthodox and others BBQing filling the air with smoke and disgusting smells, children running around everywhere, heaps of trash dirty diapers literally hell on earth by the population that visits the park. My advice come on the sabbath to avoid the ultra orthodox and or very early and leave when the smoke fills the air.
Oren R — Google review
A great spot for a picnic and very short hike. The park is managed by the Israeli National Parks service so there is an entrance fee, but there are clean bathrooms and staff onsite. The crusader structures are well preserved, but the signage is a bit lacking. Still a cool site and we'll kept.
Tzvi S — Google review
I shouldn't even recommend this park if I know what's good for me.. I was lucky to pass a day there on a slow day, with out a lot of people in the huge, beautiful, park. I love the place because it has perfect BBQ spots. The kids had a field day roaming the old castle, running springs everywhere. Perfect. Don't come, leve it for me ;)

National reserve
Nestled not far from Beer Sheva, the Pura Nature Reserve is a stunning destination that captivates visitors with its vibrant landscapes and easy accessibility. This picturesque spot offers well-maintained walking paths suitable for all ages, making it perfect for families, including those with young children and even pets. The blooming red flowers during the spring months create a breathtaking backdrop that’s hard to resist.
Very picturesque. Easy access. Human friendly walk, we were with 95 year old, 2 year old and a short stature dog, and there were no problems. Bloom is tremendous. Hard to refrain from gathering eadable vegetation. Near the lake there is freshly squeezed orange juice and traditional druze pita with trimmings (always mesmerizing to watch it being prepared) . Near parking you can get cofee , ice cream and cookies. Remember to pack your own national parks cup, and you will get discount. If you are in need of something serious with air conditioner, few kilometers south you will meet Aroma espresso bar, artisan ice cream Golda and McDonald's, all sits in the entrance to kibbuts Kama, all works on shabbat

Since it was the end of summer, the park was deserted and you can see only the eucalyptus trees. A very dry place and mainly meant for trekking and ATV ride.

Tahini's Hummus is a beloved eatery that began its journey in Sderot, Southern Israel, specializing in delicious hummus and falafel. Its popularity quickly led to the opening of a second location in Beer Sheva, conveniently situated near Ben-Gurion University, making it a hotspot for students seeking tasty meals. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by great music and ample seating options both indoors and outdoors.
Hummus is amazing, creamy, fresh, with quality ingredients. Also the Sabich version with amba sauce is definitely worth a try. Top 5 best hummus I tried and I tried lot's of hummus. Also good prices and free hummus refill
Nelson S — Google review
Hummus is a very popular dish in Israel and this place got it perfect in Beer Sheva, just next to the Ben Gurion University campus. Very crowded. Great selection of hummus (made of chickpeas and olive oil) and pita. Bread is fresh and tasty. Good selection of beer. Service could be slow due to crowd. Highly recommended.
Jaydeb S — Google review
Very hood hummus, different choices. The size is suitable for people that don't eat too much. The music was pleasing as well 😌

I loved this place. The falafel was good and the hummus with the toppings was amazing. Portions were big. Lovey restaurant to have dinner with friends and share different dishes. We also got coffee from the house and salad.

This was unique hummus experience, took the hummus with the two sauces and added mushroom and almonds which are great additions to hummus. It’s very chill vibe for lunch

Great place! The hummus was tasty and there are variety of things to eat and drink(the lemonade and hummus is refill!). The restaurant has lots of seating places, outside and inside - so we didn’t wait for long. Also, the music was great and made a good energy in the restaurant. I gave it four stars because the service was kind of exhausting - we needed to call the waiter all the time to ask for things or even to order from the menu. Overall, I would recommend this place(:

Great Humus place. The humus is fresh and tasty. The humus is accompanied by really extraordinary fresh hot Pita. Yummi. You can ask for a humus refill free of charge. The waiters were really kind and helpful . The place is right next to the university and therefore has studential vibe with free spirit atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Park
Nestled in the heart of Beer Sheva, Australian Soldier Park serves as a serene retreat amidst the desert landscape. This memorial park honors the brave Australian and New Zealand soldiers who fought during a pivotal battle in Beersheba. The thoughtfully designed space features lush green areas, shaded spots for relaxation, and dedicated play zones catering to children of all ages—from toddlers to older kids. Families can enjoy picnic benches and well-maintained restroom facilities while feeling secure thanks to vigilant security measures throughout the park.
A very lovely park, with plenty of play equipment for all ages from babies to 10 year olds. Both shady and sunny areas and places to sit and eat. It also has bathroom areas for the kids that are very clean. A great park all in all and a great place to spend an afternoon. The fencing around the park adds new level of security to patients with multiple kids.

Very well kept, even a bit better than other public spaces. No litter or garbage lying around. People respectful of each other's space. Very pleasant atmosphere and not overcrowded

A perfect place for walking and playing kids. There are many beautiful trees and flowers. Also there are some playgrounds for different ages of children. I recommend this place!

A well maintained & beautiful memorial park set up as an ANZAC forces tribute. Great cause and a great park with a playground to bring your kids There are also free public fitness facilities nearby (towards the southern side of the park). Visit for the history, stay for the relaxing atmosphere
O B — Google review
One of the better parks in Beer Sheva, though now one of the older ones. In addition to more standard equipment, there's a maze and a designated play area for younger kids with a ship and a truck. Bathrooms are not the nicest but serviceable. There are lights that come on after dark though there are still dark patches.
Ehud W — Google review
Great place for kids, green and clean, well mentained and large enough to keep the kids entrtained
Yonathan G — Google review
Pretty much just a few playgrounds on a plot with historical significance. There were some men sleeping on the grass who catcalled me in Arabic as I went past with my two children. There was also another man touching himself in the children's playground on a swing. Security needs to be tighter. The children had the most fun in the sprinklers.

Tapas bar
Kapara Bar is a fantastic establishment that offers delightful food and drinks both indoors and outdoors. The staff, particularly a helpful young lady, provides excellent service by assisting non Hebrew readers with the menu and being accommodating to seating arrangements and special requests. The architecture, decor, and ambience of the place impresses visitors greatly. It's a great spot for enjoying tapas and cocktails, although it's recommended to visit during noon or evening due to the lack of heat outside.
GR8!!! Inside, or out! Good morning! Thanks to your evening staff for an excellent delicious evening of dinner and drinks with my 2 Lady friends. It was their first time in your establishment. They were awed and thrilled by the architecture; decor and ambience. Our server- a charmingly helpful young lady was great with interpreting the menu for non Hebrew readers and very accommodating with our requests for change in seating and service for a bottle of champagne 1 had brought with. I knew it would be the right place and atmosphere for these 2 special people and preliminary to our evening of music that followed nearby. They are already talking about "next time.." We arrived shortly after 7PM, without reservations.
Matt P — Google review
The worst place that I have ever been in! I came from abroad to see my friends after a very long time, I didn't expect to get that bad service from this place that I heard good things about. Our drinks came out after half an hour! My mint tea, was full of black and not fresh at all leaves, we asked for our drinks 3 times before they came out, and also I asked for a lemon 5 times from 3 different waiters, and it came after I finished my tea already. Such a shame and a waste of money and time. I would not like to come back to this environment ever :/ !
Mishel D — Google review
Very cozy place in old beer-sheba. Very good food. Nice music. Pretty pipl.
Omer L — Google review
The service was horrible. We had to wait 30 minutes just to be told that the salad we ordered is unavailable. We then had to wait for another half hour for the replacement to arrive. When we asked the waiter about it he told us he is busy and don't have the time for us. I ordered the open lasagna, this is suppose to be a main course. I received very little food, nothing like what was advertised in their menu. It's suppose to have crab and shrimps. I count two small shrimps in it. I would not recommend this place for it's horrible service and very small dishes. The food was good and the place looked nice and clean. Two stars just cause the food was tasty.
Omer A — Google review
Nice place at the old city, well attended, good food non kosher. Delicious sea food treats like paella, more like a risotto in this case. A little heads up for the management staff. The service have got dropped the standards that i used to enjoy. Takes forever to get attended and if asked for a simple petition you get a "what do you expect me to do with that".
Mark T — Google review
Settling in for dinner at this warm and inviting historic building is like sinking into a slice of knafeh pie - welcoming, a little different, and perfectly representative of the Middle East. A great place for a date or a quiet hangout with friends. The only drawback was the presence of a smoking area inside the restaurant, where the smoke permeates all the way to the washroom.
Fabian S — Google review
Both kosher and treif menus. I ordered off the treif menu. The dish included lamb bacon, which I found indistinguishable from pork bacon. Staff spoke English well. We were there on Shabbat. Closing time is listed as 13:00. We arrived at 13:40, no problem. People came later too.
Ty T — Google review
Good cocktails, good music. Good desserts too! Nice seating areas both inside (more fancy, really liked the bar) or inside. There isn't much choice in this area but Capara doesn't mean at all you're settling :)

Tel Be'er Sheba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an ancient Biblical city dating back to 4,000 BC. Located just 5km east of the modern city of Beer Sheva, it features ruins from the Israelite monarchic period and relics from the Roman Period. This archaeological site spans over six thousand years of history and offers a glimpse into the patchwork of tribes, kingdoms, and conquerors that have inhabited it.
Amazing history and such a beautiful place. City of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The place is so great and not a lot of crowds. It’s about an hour out of Jerusalem but very much worth it.
Joshua B — Google review
Really cool old city of be'er Sheva. They have a old well with the olden days trough, seems to be the towns well for them and their animals to drink from. You can see the bottom of the front gates of the the city/town. It's a small place that you can walk around in about a half hour. There's a tall platform that overlooks the whole place plus you can see the whole area around the town. Beautiful views. At the end of the trail there's a nice tunnel that seems to be their water system (maybe for watering their front yards, who knows?) Great experience. Perfect for a side hustle trip.
Tzvi K — Google review
Yes, this National park has been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. But together with other sites so it is not a Wow.. Indeed this site is interesting but not that interesting, not in the top 10 in Israel, maybe in the Top 50. It is not big and 1 hour is enough to make the most of it. Anyway, if you like (love?) History and Archeology, then this place is for you. And since I am as such, and since I had always wanted to visit it and never could make time for it, this time I did it, and truly I do not regret it :) As always, the landscape and the views are beautiful and by themselves worth the time, especially at sunset. I've attached a few pictures, and you'll be your own judge.

A small yet historical site having biblical ruins. Not much to explore and you can see it in an hour. I personally found the information given by the guide patchy. Have been to bigger sites dating back to 5-6 B.C. Not that great experience to share
Aakash K — Google review
I think that some modern media explanations could have added to the experience. Pretty sure a guided tour would make the visit more interesting. We just walked around and read some of the information in the pamphlet given to us at the entrance.

Tel beer sheba museum is good remainings of palaces and civilisations. but the place is too hot, it is not recommended to visit on summer. Don't forget to take sunglasses and hats
Jeny J — Google review
To visit places like Tel Beer Shaba is an honor. To think of the history under foot as we stroll through the ruins makes us feel insignificant! The Bible says that the wells here were dug by Abraham and Isaac, this site has also seen human habitation since the copper age about 5000 BC. From the lookout you can see the area where Australian Light horseman fought the Australian Mounted Division's 4th and 12th Light Horse Regiments (4th Light Horse Brigade) conducted a mounted infantry charge with bayonets in their hands, their only weapon for mounted attack, as their rifles were slung across their backs. Part of the two regiments dismounted to attack entrenchments on Tel es Saba defending Beersheba while the remainder of the light horsemen continued their charge into the town, capturing the place and part of the garrison as it was withdrawing. This is hailed as the last great light horse charge! The photo with the circle shows the location that this all took place.

To be honest, my wife and I did not like the view of the old city of Beer Sheva, but once we came here, our bad mood quickly improved: more expensive than it should but very tasty. We ordered one of the steaks and I decided to try the bull testicles for the first time in my life - everything was very tasty. Also, it's very comfortable to sit here(Inside or outside).

the food was great the meat was cooked to our liking the staff not so much. we were asked what we wanted to order the food came and the waiter never came to check on us to see if we are happy with the food or if we needed something else, even when we asked for the check pay and leave we waited for a long time. at the end we talked to who we thought was out waiter and we found out that at the middle of the meal he was switched and we had a different waiter . that we never saw or spoke to. At the end the waiter understood and comped us with 30% discount free dessert and coffee on our next visit.
Ravit S — Google review
I normally take photos as food is served, but I got carried away by the aromas and forgot until after we started eating! Because of that, I included a photo of another table being served a large platter that the waiter carved for them. Yonatan, our server, provided excellent service. He spoke enough English to assist with menu options. The menu is available in Hebrew and English (possibly more languages, but those are the ones we saw), but my husband isn't familiar enough with the naming of beef cuts in Israel. With a strong preference for thick cuts of meat cooked rare, he ordered the 350 gram Golan Heights entrecote @ 54 shekels per 100 grams (he received a 30% discount off that price for a reason we didn't quite understand - maybe because it was his birthday?) He asked that it be cut 2 fingers thick and wasn't satisfied when the "finger" thickness didn't equal that of his fingers. I had suggested that he specify in centimeters, but he discounted my advice. To the restaurant's credit, the steak arrived on a sizzling platter heated with coals and was rare. My son and I shared starters of homemade bread with 3 traditional spreads; tahini, spicy red schug with citrus, and the third seemed to contain pumpkin possibly with roasted tomatoes. It was good and reasonably priced at 21 shekels. Our second starter was perfectly crispy cigars filled with a mixture of goose breast, chicken, veal, almonds, and raisins, served with a hot fruit confit. Absolutely delicious, and priced at 52 shekels for 2. I shared a combination platter for 2 with my son that contained 1 Golan Heights sirloin steak, 2 tenderloin steaks, and 2 Foie gras. The steaks arrived between rare and medium rare, so it was nice to have the grill platter for continued heating to obtain the perfect medium rare. That platter is priced at 380 shekels. Both platters came with roasted potatoes, a variety of peppers, tomatoes, and onions. We enjoyed the house wine (36 shekels per person), which turned out to be a Carmel Winery Selected brand Cabernet Sauvignon. Sharing one of the best hot fudge cakes ever (40 shekels) we learned that our house wine came with free refills! Our astute server quickly returned to our table and opened a new bottle, refilling our glasses because he understands the connection between rich chocolate and dry red wine! Excellent service earned Yonatan a nice tip. The atmosphere was quiet and the seating was comfortable. The restrooms were clean. We dined inside because we were there mid-day and the sun was hot. They have a very nice outdoor seating area that I imagine has a wonderful atmosphere for evening dining. Conveniently located in the Old City, we plan to return to The Butchery in Be'er Sheva again.

Been here 3 or 4 times with a group of hungry friends after our big exams to celebrate and we always have a good time. The meat is so damn good and cooked to perfection. Really high quality. Before corona we would go to the back kitchen and choose the cuts of meat we’d want and get a tour of the different meats they had that day. Decor is higher end so it’s a nice place to take a date or go for a nicer dinner. Look at the pictures below for mouthwatering meat. Their sausages are one of my favourites and their Ramat HaGolan cut is probably the best cut of meat I’ve ever had. So juicy and tender. Sometimes their service can be slow but whatever. It’s worth it. Also the best deal is their unlimited wine for 30 NIS per person. May not remember the meat but it’s worth it in the end. Dessert is awesome if you can make it that far

This nine-year old restaurant is in a historic building built in the 1920s in the downtown Old City center of Beer Sheva. It is pleasantly decorated in a European bistro style. The tables are generously spaced. The service was pleasant, helpful and not intrusive. We started with two orders of empanadas for the table, vegetarian and meat. Both were served with a tangy dip. Our vegetarian diner found the empanadas too spicy, so our guest and I finished all of them. I had the "Hunter's Combination" platter which provides 300 grams of meats: lamb chops, goose breast and Butcher's Cut steak. The lamb and goose are fatty, as they should be, and very tasty. The steak was lean and a thick cut. Everything was cooked medium-rare as requested. The platter was served on a sizzling tabletop grill filled with coals (see picture). Side vegetables included grilled potato, red pepper, tomato and others. Our guest had the Texas Burger, a 250 gram beef burger with sliced smoked beef and an egg on top, with fries. He ate this quickly and then helped himself to some of my steak. I didn't mind, as my portion was quite big. Our vegetarian diner had the eggplant carpaccio, a large platter of grilled eggplant crème with tahini, slices of red radish, pomegranate juice and garlic. We ordered the house bread to go with this dish. The portion was too large for her, so we all had the opportunity to try it. It was nice, and a bit sweet to my taste, perhaps because of the pomegranate juice. Rafi, the owner, expressed pride in the way they source the meat from all over Israel as well as the US and South American cattle country, and then age the meat in house. The meat is cooked on a coal grill. In addition to single cuts of steak or kebab, the restaurant offers several combination platters that are large and larger, like the Hunter's Combination that I ordered. I suggest that you focus your attention on this part of the menu - they look really special. The bill for the three of us was over NIS 400.

Indian restaurant
Little India is a charming vegetarian Indian restaurant situated in Beer Sheva, the capital of the Negev. Founded by Hanoch Stemker, it is now led by chef Eli Nagauker and two experienced chefs from India. The restaurant attracts Indian food enthusiasts from across the country and offers a unique dining experience with diverse and authentic Indian dishes. The prices are reasonable, and the menu features a variety of vegetarian options tailored to Israeli tastes.
A great place to get the Indian flavors!! The food is flavorful and very much similar to the flavors in India, the richness and the textures are great and feels like I’m back to India for a moment. The service is very friendly and quick, and the vibe are very authentic and cozy. Lots of choices between vegetarian vegan gluten-free and normal dishes with all type with side dishes and drinks.
Nadav G — Google review
If you are into Indian authentic food, with a snapshots of India atmosphere, put this place in your agenda. Prices are very reasonable, though surely not reminding India but the food is the center here. You would find many Indian vegeterian dishes and it is adjusted to IL regarding the spicy level. Don't order too much, we failed at that point and ordered much more than what we could eat. We took some as takeaway. When we visited the place mostly youngsters , probably students, were around. The service was very friendly but not professional at all. They did so many mistakes so we stopped counting but they were welcoming and friendly so we forgave them.

Great ambience. Food was okay, very reasonably priced and service quite good. A little slow to serve the order but decent staff with good knowledge of English and well behaved with clients
Ephraim E — Google review
Great food, at a reasonable price. I ordered the Thali dish (mixed platter) which was very tasty, although not spicy enough (some may prefer that). The atmosphere is casual, with many students from the nearby university. Nothing fancy, but comfy.
Jonathan B — Google review
Small restaurant with a bunch of traditional Indian dishes. You won't miss the tastes of meat/chicken with the exceptional flavors they have on thier menu. Dishes are more than generous, prices are fairly reasonable. Never thought in a million years I'd like a vegetarian dish that much(loved it!). Keep doing your magic. Highly recommended

Nice place generally. Price is fine but increasing constantly. Unfortunately only vegetarian food. The Indian cuisine is famous for it chicken dishes and there is none.

Nice and cheap Indian restaurant, pretty big portions but food wasn't spicy enough. Service wasn't the best, but that just made it more authentic (;

Cafe
Bleecker Bakery is a delightful establishment to enjoy a morning meal or midday brunch. The menu offers classic options like eggs, bread, coffee, salad, and desserts that are all incredibly delicious. However, one drawback is the small tables and frequent crowding during mornings. Nonetheless, this Be'er Sheva cafe remains a good choice overall. Similarly, the Raanana branch also receives high praise from regular patrons who found it equally impressive.
Service is great and fun. And the have the best tasting breakfast of all the chain cafes.

It's always nice to sit here, especially when you have walked a lot, and it is a hot day. The sandwich is always good, but sometimes the salad is lacking in taste.

Very nice place to eat a breakfast or brunch , we tried traditional eggs, bread, coffee, salad and desserts and overall were delicious. The only issue is that tables are really small and must of the mornings the place is too cowded. But in general a good place in Be'er sheva

University
Ben Gurion University of the Negev is situated in the northern part of town en route to Tel Aviv. The campus boasts a lively atmosphere and features architecturally impressive buildings, including two art galleries, a medical history museum, and various small exhibits across different faculties. The university has contributed to a cultural revival in the city, leading to an influx of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs catering to its vibrant student population.
After only a very short (1-2 hours) tour, I was really impressed with this University; as they have extensive resources to support their students, who look to have access to world-class facilities and training.

It's one of the best universities in the world and is the best University in Israel, so they offer many courses , activities, the teachers are pretty prepared in the classes and the installations are of first level in the education field. I joined Ben Gurion University for my postdoctoral research work in 2015. I stayed for three years. I enjoyed my stay. The university offers accommodation for post doctoral fellows which makes easier relocation from a different country. They do have a useful international students office that assist you with visa processing unlike other Israeli universities which are not that helpful to foreign students. The cost of living in Beersheba is quite low unlike other cities which makes the postdoc, PhD salary ideal for studying in Ben Gurion university. The down side is the slow processing style from the administration. You will have to make numerous visits to the office to get things done. The other problem is the bills for the dormitory. I believe no mathematician could figure out how they arrive at such bill values. The dorm managers are often rude and are very rude when you approach them regarding problems in facilities. There are few trips for international students which are a lot of fun and costs only 5-10 dollars and often comes with a meal. University has the best facilities. I can’t comment on other areas of research. My area of research in optics in electrical and computer engineering had all the necessary facilities. Overall a good experience and I recommend this university for post doc in optics.

I quickly hung up and immediately went to write this review. I don't care that the food is getting cold, nor do I care about all the shortcomings I received. Moroccan restaurant
Yakuta is a hidden gem nestled in Be'er Sheva, Israel's Negev capital, offering an authentic Moroccan dining experience that captivates the senses. The restaurant boasts a unique menu filled with traditional dishes, including a lamb stew that has been perfected over generations and is said to be over 100 years old. Guests rave about the scrumptious flavors and welcoming atmosphere created by Beber, who serves as both owner and chef.
Yakuta is an amazing find in Israel's Negev capital Be'er Sheva. The unique Moroccan menu is surprisingly great as is the atmosphere and hospitality. I visited here with guests from the United State who thought that some of the exotic items on the menu were outrageous and hilarious at the same time. Trust me that we included some in our order. Beber is the owner, chief and waiter. He is funny and friendly. Expect to see me here again.

I’m usually picky on food (especially that I also do culinary), but this is unarguably, the best, THE most impressive restaurant I’ve been to. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews on the owner’s attitude - we thought so at first, but immediately realized that it was the strong-willed attitude of the Sephardic owner, which is truly genuine and from the love of his food and culture. He might seem aggressive for those who hasn’t dealt much with Sephardics, but trust me, they are the warmest people, and listen to his advice. This comes to the second point - some say that this is overpriced. Expensive? Sure. But it’s worth every single shekel. The ingredients and the quality of food was incredible, and tastes heavenly. Do not be scared off by the price when the owner is recommending you what to order - you’re in Be’er Sheva, and your Appetit deserves to get some extra treat just for this meal. Again, the service was warm and thoughtful; the food was so incredible that made me speechless. Highly recommended and will come back if I’m ever back in Be’er Sheva.

The owners of the restaurant were very lovely people and gave advice about the food according to our preferences. At first, we got nine dips/ salads with freshly baked bread and everything was just perfect. After that there came a huge portion of couscous with butternut squash, potatoes, onions and other toppings like chickpeas… and fish tajine and lamb. After that they offered us tea and sweets on the house😍

Matt P — Google review
Fantastic authentic Morrocan food. Absolutely scrumptious! The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because of the overbearing owner. He is very insistent on ordering particular dishes to the point that it becomes unpleasant. If you want a great experience and you are willing to hand over the reins to the owner then you'll have a great time. After perusing the menu I decided on a starter and a main. After the intervention of the owner I ended up ordering neither. I was hungry and couldn't be bothered arguing with him. Thing are done with a certain ceremonious flair which I thought inappropriate for a mid week lunch. The food is excellent, make no mistake. Parking is plentiful and the toilets are modern and clean.

Best Moroccan restaurant I've ever tried. The chef was very welcoming and explained the menu nicely. We tried the lamb stew according to the chef's recommendation. And this is the best lamb recipe I've ever tasted. The chef told us this recipe is about 100 years old and passed through the generations. He was trying for a long time to reach the level of delicacy as he tasted when he was a kid. Yes, this place is little expensive and I felt it's worth for the taste of the food and the environment. This may not be a place to hang out often, but for a special day.

Hamburger restaurant
Restaurant
The hamburger eatery, Agadir Burger in Be'er Sheva, offers a warm welcome from their amicable staff who promptly seated us and handed over the menus. We swiftly placed our order and were served drinks without delay. The service was efficient and accommodating. Moreover, the establishment boasts a diverse selection of delectable food options that cater to both meat lovers and vegans alike. Their medium-sized burgers are cooked to perfection, as they genuinely adhere to the requested doneness level.
Okay, so I know they’re a little pricey, but the portions are a fabulous size. I always get the junior (160 gram) burger and usually have a quarter of it hanging on for dear life by the time I’m full. Also, the meat is by far the best burger meat I have had at a restaurant in all of Israel. The BBB has them beat with their toppings and appetizers, but I always have weird cartilage pieces when I order their burgers.

Nice burger place, The prices are normal for the city. Also their is nice discount for the students. In addition, people who eat vegan food can have some vegan burger. Hp Cocktail (strawberry with rum) was good but too much ice. In summary 4/5 (food taste could be better).

Day 3

Keep it simple
For day 3, these 4 places should be enough to fill your day with something exciting to do in Beersheba. Start the day with HaBsor National Park (Eshkol Park) and make your way through the city to get to Rambam Park. This should take about 8 hours of your day.

Nature & Parks
HaBsor National Park, also known as Eshkol Park, is a stunning destination that offers a blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue. Nestled in a protected area filled with springs and grasslands, visitors can enjoy activities like hiking, cycling, and swimming amidst ancient Egyptian ruins. The park is well-maintained with clean facilities including toilets and showers. Families will appreciate the small spring that flows into a narrow stream—perfect for kids under 10 to splash around in.
W place for chill, wading polls, view over large size of the Negev, and if planes passby you can planespoot, this place also has sleeping for some extra bucks, and it's beautiful there with also some preserved old Ottoman railway tracks.
Megasquid9509 — Google review
A bit boring. It is good only for a picnic. The tiny water puddles to dip the legs in are filthy. The toilets are dirty and unattended to. There is not enough shade for a picnic in the summer. The disk-golf baskets are not properly marked and we didn't know their route. The kids enjoyed examining colorful stones and little rocks, and splashing in the puddles. The rope bridge is a nice attraction outside of Eshkol park, and there are sea turtles in the stream below it.
Revital H — Google review
Not enough shadowed places or with tents, it's extremely hot outside. WC is clean and equipped with paper. The playground for kids has hot surfaces because the tent is not stretched to its full area.

A small spring that is directed into a narrow stream. There are not enough trees so prepare to sit in the sun if you are coming late. The water are nice for kids up to 10 years old and there is enough parking place. Worth the visit if you're around

The staff is very caring. Provides excellent service and overall experience. Well maintained. Toilets are clean. Showers present. Grass is trimmed. You can rent matrasses. There are special places for fire and you can buy wood for fire. Highly recommended!

We came early and it was empty, clean and worm enough for my daughter's to go in the to the water. A lot of parking places and a small kiosk to buy water and ice cream. We had a table (4-6) located under a tree so when it became warmer we he'd enough shadow.
Zohar G — Google review
I was unfortunately disappointed from my visit there. My family and I went together during Passover vacation (April 2019). The entrance price is 22 NIS for an adult and 9 NIS for a child. The weather was great and there were many benches and tables under the shadow of huge trees. The open space was big and generally nice (a lot of green grass). However, the park seems to be a little neglected - the water in the fountain seem polluted (since there is no flow, it became kind of a swamp). The wading pool was very literally empty. The viewpoint is just a 10 meters tall tower. Also, the reconstructed ruins of an Egyptian resting station are no more than a bunch of knee-height brick walls. On 3 pm an announcement came via PA system saying a tour is starting (probably because it was Passover). We decided to pass, realizing there is not much to see that will make an significant addition to what you can read online. View the pictures!

This place is very nice for Friday and Saturday trips or walks. There are some viewpoints along the way where you can stop and looking at the view. There is also a bike and a car options if it’s more your taste.

Zoos
The Negev Zoo in Israel is a beloved wildlife park that is ideal for families with children. It may be small, but it offers a perfect experience without being overcrowded. Additionally, finding parking nearby is always convenient. The zoo provides plenty of shade to ensure comfort during visits. Admission costs 35NIS per person and it is recommended to wear a hat and sunglasses while exploring the grounds. This inviting establishment boasts a friendly staff who warmly welcome guests alongside an array of fascinating animals.
Fun zoo. The animals were visible and very active (I was there in the early afternoon, 13-16). Kids have the option to buy food to feed the animals. I wasn't a huge fan of this because it made some of the animals very cranky when they realized I didn't have food - most simply walked away, but a few tried to bite me through the bars. A fun place to spend a few hours.
Judah — Google review
This park has went through a heavy face-lift fairly recently, and now actually gives the Ramat Gan Safari a run for its' money. It doesn't have as many animals as the aformentioned zoo, but it compensates for it fully by giving the visitors a better experience overall. The park grew at least 3 times in area with the renovations made, was remade from the ground up animal-keeps-wise and is now promoting a less of a classical zoo makeup, but a holistic approach, where the visitors go about their trip around the grounds, and observe the animals doing their thing. The enclosures are large, the scenery is smartly designed for a great walk and includes many shaded sitting arrangements and toilets. Reccomend not to put your faith on the bus to get from there to wherever you're going and either walk back to the main road to catch another bus or take a taxi(won't cost much to the central bus station).
Maria N — Google review
An unconventional zoo. With a non-standard design. There are quite a few animals of all kinds. Very beautiful lions and an impressive hippopotamus :-). There are enough toilets and kiosks with drinks and snacks. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance and come in weather that is not too hot, in order to see as many animals as possible outside their hiding places.
Marina ( — Google review
My favorite zoo in Israel. Small but perfect for families with children. Never too crowded and always close parking. Lots if shade too.
Dani H — Google review
A big sprawling zoo, with large enclosures for most animals, quite a few nature - related activities for kids, lots of places to sit, water fountains, shade... A full-day (or a good few hours) occupation for families with kids and not only them. Would've given it a 5, if there weren't so many kiosks selling overpriced junk all over the place. Well, guess they have to make money off the place somehow...
Frezie G — Google review
I recently visited the zoo, and while I appreciate the effort to care for the animals, I was very concerned about some of the conditions. Many of the animals looked very thin, and it seemed like they are not getting enough proper nutrition. Additionally, there was a serious lack of shaded areas in many enclosures. Animals need places to escape the sun and rest comfortably, especially on hot days, but unfortunately, most of them had no access to shade. It was particularly alarming to see the small animals kept in glass enclosures. They clearly have too little space, cannot move freely, and looked very stressed. It seems that many of them are slowly dying from stress and the lack of a natural environment. I understand that running a zoo is challenging, and I truly respect the staff who work hard to maintain the animals’ health. However, I believe that adding shade for all animals, reviewing their diets, providing enough space, and improving conditions for the small animals would make a huge difference. Animals deserve a safe and comfortable environment that meets their physical and emotional needs. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the welfare of all the animals.💔😿

Big exhibition of old israeli air force machines. Really lot of fight planes. You can sit to some of them. Entrance fee is something about 7 euros. You should go there on the way from dead see back to tel aviv. As a bonus you can meet there some beautiful israeli girl soldiers.

A nice place to for some airplane history with some shows sprinkled in, but bot much to do other than that. It is unfortunate that the main area is just exposed under the sun which means that many people need to huddle together under the few shaded areas for some rest. The reletive low admission price (adult 30, child 20) is OK considering what you can do inside.
Hagai — Google review
This is only good for the advanced tourist unless the visitor has a special connection to the air force. I visited on an off day in the off season. About half of the collection was accessible to the public. The café and the gift shop were closed and it looks like that has been the case for many months . On the plus side, a tour guide was on duty and the photo gallery was open. It's much better to visit on a day with a scheduled air show. Remember to stay hydrated. In all I am glad that I went.

Rambam Park is a delightful urban retreat in Beer Sheva, designed with families in mind. This vibrant park features expansive green spaces and numerous playgrounds that cater to children aged 1 to 12, making it an ideal spot for little ones to run and play freely. Parents can relax under the ample shaded seating while their kids enjoy swings, slides, and other fun activities. The atmosphere is peaceful during the mornings and evenings but tends to get lively in the afternoons as laughter fills the air.

Lovely park, well designed for children and plenty of shaded seating for the parents. It's would be great if there were water fountains there too, but there aren't so bring lots to drink as your kids will be running around a lot!

JAPANIKA BEER SHEVA GRAND CANYON is a restaurant that prides itself on serving high-quality meals made from the freshest ingredients at affordable prices. The sushi experience at Japanika is highly recommended, with fast service and attentive waitstaff. While the restaurant's ambiance may need improvement, visitors love the delicious and beautifully presented food. The staff's exceptional politeness and dedication to perfection contribute to an enjoyable dining experience.
Waiters are very sweet, food came fast. The cocktails on the new summer 2025 menu are very good. Overall this is one of my favorite sushi places in Beer Sheva :)

❌ Absolutely Disgusting Experience at Japanika - Grand Canyon Beersheba! ❌ 😡 Customer Service? What Customer Service? We waited 30 minutes ⏳ just for someone to come to our table, and guess what? Nobody bothered to even look at us! The waiters were incredibly rude, completely ignoring us like we didn’t exist. Every time we called them, they just walked around as if we were invisible. 🤦‍♂️ 🤣 The restaurant was 90% EMPTY! There were only two tables occupied, and the rest was completely empty. So what’s the excuse for this behavior? 🤔 How can they avoid customers when they barely had any? 😤 Their attitude was beyond disrespectful. No apologies, no sense of urgency, and when we finally said we were leaving, they just said “Okay” like they couldn’t care less! 🙄 The ignorance and lack of professionalism were unbelievable. ⭐ If I could give them less than ZERO stars, I absolutely would! 🚫 This was by far the most disappointing dining experience I’ve ever had. ⚠️ Don’t waste your time or money here! The management seriously needs to fix their terrible service and train their staff on how to treat customers. Totally unacceptable! 😡 Does this reflect the tone and vibe you wanted?
Naveen S — Google review
Well the food was ok, not the best but ok, at least it was kinda fresh. The experience begun with waiting 30 mins to be seated, even though we have made a reservation. It took 38 mins for waiter to approach us after we asked couple times. The place is dirty, lot of positions are missing in the menu. The waiter updated us that we have to wait 40 mins for our orders. We had waited and finally it started to came out, we had to ask couple times to get our drinks, because one of 7 people got his drink and all the rest had to wait 20 mins more. The soup came about 25 mins after all main courses already been served to the table. The waitresses had to be reminded that she forgot one more dish. Getting a bill is another story, the most weird thing is that they were expecting to get a tip for this kind of “service”. Strongly recommend to look for other Asian restaurant to spend your evening

I loce sushi and that was the place. Japanika serves u a great sushi experience. The waiters are great and the food comes pretty fast. Think they need to work more on how the resturants looks. Cause it foesnt look like a 🇯🇵 restaurant.. but loved it

I recently visited this place and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. While the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant—nicely designed and welcoming—the service was a major letdown. We waited for more than 30 minutes for our food, and even then, not everything we ordered arrived. We had to remind the staff multiple times just to get the dishes we had ordered, and it felt like we were being ignored. At some point, we just gave up waiting and decided to take the remaining food as takeaway. This is not the level of service I expect from a restaurant, especially one that presents itself as a premium dining option. It’s a real shame... the lack of efficiency and attention to customers completely overshadowed any positives. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend. There are far better options out there where you can enjoy good food and good service.

Total scoundrels. Don't come close to them. They sold us online sushi for 300 nis, then informed us that no ginger and wasabi are available at the restaurant, eat whatever we got. We asked to cancel, they said impossible, we asked for reimbursement, they said impossible. Who sells sushi without ginger and wasabi and says it's OK? It's like to sell pizza without cheese. Just common crooks, all they think about is how to cheat you, get your money today, tomorrow doesn't exist.
