The Monument to the Negev Brigade is a significant landmark located on a hill in Beersheba, Israel. It was designed by renowned artist Dani Karavan in the 1960s to honor fallen members of the Palmach organization during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. The monument consists of raw concrete structures in various shapes and sizes, symbolizing different elements related to Palmach and the war.
a unique and special location. I loved to run around as a kid, and only understood the significance of the location as I got older (it is a memorial/monument). Worth visiting if you are local resident or just visiting the city. It's fascinating in it's appearance and it's story.

On the way back to Tel Aviv from Dead Sea, this monument worked as a memorable spot as historical record. This place is at a slight slope and easy to find. There is a public washroom near the entry and can overlook the latest city development of Be'er Sheva
Yeung E — Google review
Interesting architecture with some audio recordings (English and Hebrew) on-site to explain the narrative behind the site and design. No entrance fees.
Xin Y — Google review
A very impressive monument, which combines memorial and playfulness to a perfection! Both kids and adults will find something here. Worth a visit, even if it's just for a couple of minutes on your way to somewhere else.

The Negev Museum of Art is situated in the historic center of Beersheba, housed within a preserved compound dating back to the early 1900s. Originally serving as a mosque and governor's residence during the Ottoman era, it now showcases contemporary Israeli art alongside emerging artists. The museum offers diverse exhibitions, including displays of West African wooden masks and sculptures, providing an enriching experience for visitors.
A small and charming museum, with a successful guide The ticket was also combined with the adjacent Islamic Museum, we enjoyed it very much. It's a shame there wasn't a workbook for children at the Negev Museum. Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

A small place with not many art pieces to see. For the ticket price, I expected to see more.
Debanjan S — Google review
Exhibitions are usually interesting and those in the mosque - always are! The present exposition of W. African wooden masks and sculptures and Golden Way are extremely interesting! Highly recommended! And thanks to the museum staff for their efforts!

Carasso Science Park is a family-friendly science museum located in Beer Sheva. The park offers a wide range of interactive exhibits and outdoor displays suitable for both kids and adults. Visitors can explore exhibits on energy, human senses, and even enjoy a Gymboree-like space indoors. Outdoor attractions include a geometric fountain and life-sized woolly mammoth sculptures from the ice-age era. The museum provides an engaging experience with interactive displays and informative explanations.
It's a bit expensive to get in. Over 100 Shekels for 2 people. It was really hot outside but the dragon exhibition was nice then we got in to the buildings and it was very interesting you can interact with almost everything and the explanations are very good. We were there for about an hour and a half and we couldn't finish it all. The nice part was that I found out was that if I leave the museum I can come back later on without paying again but its for the same day only.
Ravit S — Google review
Make sure you have enough time to enjoy all the exhibitions and the playground. In 3 hours we enjoyed only a little more than half of it. Our 5 and 7 year old loved it and we took our time to play with all the games and interactive material
Georgios C — Google review
An incredible science museum for all ages. We spent 6 hours exploring all the interesting things that the museum has to offer. This week (Sukkot holiday) we even got the chance to visit during the squashes -science festival, which includes many experiments and other special activities for both kids and adults. We really recommend this place for the entire family.
Noa P — Google review
Nice place with a lot of things to see and do. But the instructors at the atomic reactor and planetarium where horrible: Never did I witness instructors with such a low knowledge, low drive and even language problems. Their explanations were below general knowledge, completly simplistic and boring. A place like this - that wants to kindle the interest of kids in science - cannot employ such completly uninspiring and unlearned instructors. In general most rooms and attractions were usually not easy and simple to understand and were lacking explanations or staff that helps and explains. Many things we did not do - that looked quite interesting - since we did not know how to operate them or switch them on. Last issue about the main entrance: Instead of giving the beautiful historic building an honorable entrance from its frontal facade dtraight to the street and to the bus station accessible at sidewalk level, there are high ugly fences and pedestrians need to circumvent the whole compound by a long trail to an ugly side entrance through a parking lot and staircases. Completely unneccessary, damaging, not respecting people (especially pedestrians) and worsen accessability.
Ulrich B — Google review
Great place for kids (and big kids like myself)! Took my cousins here and they just loved it. Made for a really great day! You could do most of the museum in about two or three hours. The outside exhibits were really interactive and fun (and also a great place to sit and eat lunch). We also really enjoyed the life-sized woolly mammoth and other ice-age era sculptures! The main building was cool too explore just from a historical/architecture point alone. Would recommend!
Yael W — Google review
This was an amazing experience for everyone! We made ice cream and 3-D printed a book mark! We learned about the ice age and physics! Great few hours spent! Thanks so much!
Sanda W — Google review
A nice science museum for kids with interesting exhibitions featuring interactive elements. It’s not that big though, and feels highly overpriced considering it offers no more than an hour or two of fun.
Ilan G — Google review
Great multimedia interactive displays, games, features and displays- indoors and out, ranging from nuclear science to prehistoric weather and animals, history, life sciences, ecology . Various rotations of exhibits.

Historic Sites
Tel Be'er Sheba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an ancient Biblical city dating back to 4,000 BC. Located just 5km east of the modern city of Beer Sheva, it features ruins from the Israelite monarchic period and relics from the Roman Period. This archaeological site spans over six thousand years of history and offers a glimpse into the patchwork of tribes, kingdoms, and conquerors that have inhabited it.
Amazing history and such a beautiful place. City of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The place is so great and not a lot of crowds. It’s about an hour out of Jerusalem but very much worth it.
Joshua B — Google review
Really cool old city of be'er Sheva. They have a old well with the olden days trough, seems to be the towns well for them and their animals to drink from. You can see the bottom of the front gates of the the city/town. It's a small place that you can walk around in about a half hour. There's a tall platform that overlooks the whole place plus you can see the whole area around the town. Beautiful views. At the end of the trail there's a nice tunnel that seems to be their water system (maybe for watering their front yards, who knows?) Great experience. Perfect for a side hustle trip.
Tzvi K — Google review
Yes, this National park has been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. But together with other sites so it is not a Wow.. Indeed this site is interesting but not that interesting, not in the top 10 in Israel, maybe in the Top 50. It is not big and 1 hour is enough to make the most of it. Anyway, if you like (love?) History and Archeology, then this place is for you. And since I am as such, and since I had always wanted to visit it and never could make time for it, this time I did it, and truly I do not regret it :) As always, the landscape and the views are beautiful and by themselves worth the time, especially at sunset. I've attached a few pictures, and you'll be your own judge.
Dan M — Google review
A small yet historical site having biblical ruins. Not much to explore and you can see it in an hour. I personally found the information given by the guide patchy. Have been to bigger sites dating back to 5-6 B.C. Not that great experience to share
Aakash K — Google review
I think that some modern media explanations could have added to the experience. Pretty sure a guided tour would make the visit more interesting. We just walked around and read some of the information in the pamphlet given to us at the entrance.
Naomi M — Google review
Interesting site; very good guide booklet, nice descriptions in each main item, at the end you have an idea of the concept of the old town. Amazing the cistern experience
Manucsn — Google review
Tel beer sheba museum is good remainings of palaces and civilisations. but the place is too hot, it is not recommended to visit on summer. Don't forget to take sunglasses and hats
Jeny J — Google review
To visit places like Tel Beer Shaba is an honor. To think of the history under foot as we stroll through the ruins makes us feel insignificant! The Bible says that the wells here were dug by Abraham and Isaac, this site has also seen human habitation since the copper age about 5000 BC. From the lookout you can see the area where Australian Light horseman fought the Australian Mounted Division's 4th and 12th Light Horse Regiments (4th Light Horse Brigade) conducted a mounted infantry charge with bayonets in their hands, their only weapon for mounted attack, as their rifles were slung across their backs. Part of the two regiments dismounted to attack entrenchments on Tel es Saba defending Beersheba while the remainder of the light horsemen continued their charge into the town, capturing the place and part of the garrison as it was withdrawing. This is hailed as the last great light horse charge! The photo with the circle shows the location that this all took place.

Abraham's Well, located at the heart of the Old City of Beersheba, is a significant historical site with deep-rooted traditions. According to local Bedouin tradition, it is believed to be the original well dug by Abraham. The site features an International Visitors Center offering a captivating multimedia presentation and 3-D movie that culminates in a viewing of the actual well.
A site of two ancient wells that local tradition attributes to haven been dug by the Patriarch Abraham. The wells themselves are in open air, surrounded by an enclosed building with educational exhibits about the site and the modern city of Be'er Sheva, Israel. A deeply moving experience for the spiritually inclined.

What a amazing place to learn about Father Abraham who finally settled down in the Promise Land in Beersheba. Staff were really friendly. Learned a lot about Abraham and the significance of the well. Strong message about peace and reconciliation between Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Abraham's well, where his men were in conflict with the men of Abimelech, and the two made a covenant of peace. There is little to see, but the history is impressive and the AV presentation is very good. The well is deep and it was the first of many in Beersheba, including those of Isaac.

The place is closed during its own opening hours. What an absolute joke!

The well has been there for millenia. The museum around the well for 6 years. The local municipality want to preserve the well and share with Jews , Muslims and Christians. Sort walk through a small presentation then a 10-15 minute 3D movie before exiting to see the well. Guide throughout with thorough knowledge and explainations.

Located at the heart of the Old City of Beersheba, a well, supposed to be dug by Abraham. It has a history with a lot of speculations. Very close to the Beersheba river which supplies it with water. The well in surrounded by a wall and one needs to pay to enter. There is a full guided tour of 45 mins. One can choose to visit only the well for half the price of the full tour. If one comes to Beersheba, I recommend to visit this biblical well.

Ben Gurion University of the Negev is situated in the northern part of town en route to Tel Aviv. The campus boasts a lively atmosphere and features architecturally impressive buildings, including two art galleries, a medical history museum, and various small exhibits across different faculties. The university has contributed to a cultural revival in the city, leading to an influx of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs catering to its vibrant student population.
After only a very short (1-2 hours) tour, I was really impressed with this University; as they have extensive resources to support their students, who look to have access to world-class facilities and training.

A great place to learn and improve your critical thinking ability in the field of research as well as personality development. I would say this is another place for me to enhance the knowledge of "Research". However many other places are here like Negev brigade Memorial, Negev Mall and BIG. So, you can go to these places and enjoy. Very friendly environment but because of lockdown it hard to feel and see it. Thanks,😃
Vikas S — Google review
I joined Ben Gurion University for my postdoctoral research work in 2015. I stayed for three years. I enjoyed my stay. The university offers accommodation for post doctoral fellows which makes easier relocation from a different country. They do have a useful international students office that assist you with visa processing unlike other Israeli universities which are not that helpful to foreign students. The cost of living in Beersheba is quite low unlike other cities which makes the postdoc, PhD salary ideal for studying in Ben Gurion university. The down side is the slow processing style from the administration. You will have to make numerous visits to the office to get things done. The other problem is the bills for the dormitory. I believe no mathematician could figure out how they arrive at such bill values. The dorm managers are often rude and are very rude when you approach them regarding problems in facilities. There are few trips for international students which are a lot of fun and costs only 5-10 dollars and often comes with a meal. University has the best facilities. I can’t comment on other areas of research. My area of research in optics in electrical and computer engineering had all the necessary facilities. Overall a good experience and I recommend this university for post doc in optics.

How sad Israel segregates Bedouins in towns built to drive them out of their original areas where they lived their lives in tranquility. I feel sorry for these Palestinian people who have to suffer because of Israel's arrogance. They ruin an area so that it will never be the same again, and the energy there is no longer magical when arrogance looms. W the Bedouins, long live the life force!

The Be'er Sheva Anzac Memorial Centre is a significant site that commemorates the troops who captured Beer Sheva from the Ottomans during WWI. The center, opened in 2017, marks the 100th anniversary of this event and offers an immersive experience that tells the story of the battle for Beer Sheva, known as the last great cavalry battle in world history. It also holds historical importance for Israel's independence and liberation.
The newly open Be’ersheva Anzac memorial on 31st October 2017 holds the key for Israel’s independence and liberation. Be’ersheva is a strategic and important place since the days of Abraham and modern Israel. Why you should visit this Memorial? As Israel is celebrating seventy years of independence, everyone should visit this memorial as it highlights that the fight for Israel is a fight for freedom in the world. Why Christians should visit this place? On 31st October 2017, Christians around the world celebrated 500 years of Reformation. On the same day was the centennial of the key victory for Israel’s freedom.

It is a great story most of us here in Israel are not aware of how the ANZAC were instrumental and lead the conquest of israel from the Turks during WWI. This site is so impressive and is a very moving memorial at the same time. Worth a trip to Beersheba!

Being an Aussie, was treated like royalty when I visited. Loved the theatre that showed what happened there. And the Theatre has a special action, that caught me totally Unaware. ( No not saying, you have to go there to find out) . Exhibits are genuine, though limited, and I hope that over time they can add more.

Amazing place where we learned that Israel wants its people to live in the North or in the desert. Lots of fun in learning how the Negev was built. Beersheba is a great city and I wish Birthright would allow us to spend more time here.

The child loves sand, but, as always, everything would be fine if there weren’t heaps of garbage there, trash cans are not removed, garbage on the playground, garbage in the sandbox and throughout the park. Another minus, there is no toilet, so you are walking with your child, he comes and asks to use the toilet, and you rush headlong, looking for bushes or something else, because there is nowhere to run, and the child tells you, I don’t want to go to the bushes, where the toilet is , and you rush home with him, here’s a walk for you.

Tahini's Hummus is a beloved eatery that began its journey in Sderot, Southern Israel, specializing in delicious hummus and falafel. Its popularity quickly led to the opening of a second location in Beer Sheva, conveniently situated near Ben-Gurion University, making it a hotspot for students seeking tasty meals. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by great music and ample seating options both indoors and outdoors.
Hummus is amazing, creamy, fresh, with quality ingredients. Also the Sabich version with amba sauce is definitely worth a try. Top 5 best hummus I tried and I tried lot's of hummus. Also good prices and free hummus refill
Nelson S — Google review
Hummus is a very popular dish in Israel and this place got it perfect in Beer Sheva, just next to the Ben Gurion University campus. Very crowded. Great selection of hummus (made of chickpeas and olive oil) and pita. Bread is fresh and tasty. Good selection of beer. Service could be slow due to crowd. Highly recommended.

Great place! The hummus was tasty and there are variety of things to eat and drink(the lemonade and hummus is refill!). The restaurant has lots of seating places, outside and inside - so we didn’t wait for long. Also, the music was great and made a good energy in the restaurant. I gave it four stars because the service was kind of exhausting - we needed to call the waiter all the time to ask for things or even to order from the menu. Overall, I would recommend this place(:

Writers' Park, which opened just before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, has quickly become a beloved destination in the city. This vibrant park is adorned with sculptures that celebrate renowned authors and serves as a hub for cultural events, workshops, and readings featuring local talent. During lockdowns, it emerged as a popular gathering spot for residents seeking fresh air and community connection amidst restrictions.
Nice relaxing very well planned park with a nice cafe, plenty of seating areas, a small outdoor workout area that is always packed during sunset, right next to the workout area is a kindergarden and small playgtound, and a small community garden. There is a larger playground for kids and a dog patk at one end.
Guy S — Google review
The park is indeed beautiful, big, clean, with lots of stuff to do with yours friends, family and children - BUT - One thing was bothering so much that I gave it only 1 star - the dog park inside is completely CLOSED for every Friday and Saturday - and this is one of the only few places in entire Beersheba where your dog can have its quality time with other dogs. And closing the dog park for the only two days of the week where most people have free time is not cool.
Benjamin S — Google review
Great park, we love it! Dog/cat friendly, very calm, there's a public library, gym, dog park, play ground for kids! Wonderful!
Yaniv K — Google review
My wife and I love spending time at Writer’s Park, it’s our go-to spot for relaxation and inspiration! We’re big book lovers, and the open-air library here is a dream. There’s a huge variety of books in different languages (we’ve found Hebrew, English, and Russian titles!), and we adore the idea of “take a book, leave a book.” We’ve even donated a few of our old favorites! Beyond the books, the park feels alive with energy, people doing yoga, kids laughing on the playground, and friends playing ping-pong. It’s clean, beautifully designed, and always has something new to discover. The only downside? It can get crowded on weekends, but we don’t mind, the buzz adds to the charm!

One of the better parks in Beer Sheva, though now one of the older ones. In addition to more standard equipment, there's a maze and a designated play area for younger kids with a ship and a truck. Bathrooms are not the nicest but serviceable. There are lights that come on after dark though there are still dark patches.

Pretty much just a few playgrounds on a plot with historical significance. There were some men sleeping on the grass who catcalled me in Arabic as I went past with my two children. (Translated by Google) Update 2023: The sports facilities are not accessible. Another example of the failure of a populist municipality: very neglected. Years without reasonable maintenance, a park that was beautiful when the Ministry of Construction handed it over to the municipality and became a wasteland in the hands of the municipality. A significant part of the vegetation is decayed. Fixtures were not replaced but removed when they broke down. Idle promises from the municipality for rehabilitation. The sewage overflows frequently. Just poor, although very necessary. The fitness facilities are nice, but not accessible. as shown in the picture. Another photo shows that there were trees on Bar Lev Street and Yarkoni Street. were They don't bother to plant new ones. Some neighbors take care of gardening, but the municipality? Do you pay property tax here? Probably not. Second class citizens. Last picture - the building bordering the park and on the other side on a street close to and parallel to Yaakov Dori Street - with a crack up to 14 cm wide that expands from the bottom to the entire height... two or three years and it is growing... is there a city engineer in the city? And finally: dampers are a bad idea. But if this is the solution in the BS - why don't they make along Yarkoni and Bar Lev - which are used as a racetrack and endanger children and others? Appeal to the municipality - no treatment. That's how it is in B.S. The fruit, another example of pruning for populist considerations) - but this tree radiates over everything. (Translated by Google) Turkish arch railway bridge made of stone on the Be'er Sheva River, built in 1916, for the Ottoman army as part of the Nahal Sorek - Sinai line. Operation of the bridge ceased in May 1917. In May 1918, the Be'er Sheva - Rafah railway opened, built by the British and passing through the northwestern region of the city. The Turkish railway bridge in the south of the city ceased to be used for its intended purpose, but until 1920, vehicles and pedestrians moving between different parts of the city passed through it. Near it, in 2004, a new bridge was built for freight cars traveling to Neot Hovav. The length of the bridge is 190 meters. For a long time, the bridge was the longest in Israel until the 70s of the 20th century. The project of the newly created Nahal Be'er Sheva Park provides for its restoration and use for pedestrian and bicycle traffic between parts of the park. Construction of the bridge. The Be'er Sheva River is considered one of the largest and wildest rivers in Israel, especially during the rainy season. This fact was known to the bridge designers, so they chose a location where the river is wide and shallow. The author of the project was the German engineer Wingel from Jerusalem, and the immediate supervisor on site was engineer Heinrich Meissner, a specialist in the construction of railways in the service of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. The bridge was built by Jewish contractors Michael Ehrlich and Eliyahu Yanovsky after winning the tender. During one of the most difficult periods of Jewish settlement in Eretz Israel, they were able to gather 150 Jewish mason workers, most of whom were immigrants from Yemen. The project was encouraged by the Zionist Organization as it helped improve the situation of Jewish settlements in connection with the war in the region between the Ottoman and British empires. In January 1916, work began to lay the foundations of the bridge. During the work, the builders faced many problems. At the very beginning, the foundation was destroyed during seasonal rains. Then a typhus epidemic began in the city, many of the workers fell ill and were taken to the hospital. The remaining workers left Beersheba. Work has stopped. Due to the problems that arose, the contractors turned to Dr. Yakov Tachon, chairman of the Eretz Israel organization, asking for help in recruiting additional workers. After this, work continued until August of the same year. Within six months, the bridge was put into operation. During the construction work, Jewish workers were killed by bombing by the British Army, who tried to stop the construction of the bridge. The bridge cost 11 thousand French francs. The contractors received the money a year later. Due to inflation, money became worthless and they were stuck in debt. The bridge was one of a series of railway bridges on the road to the Mashabim junction, and from there to Qusaymah, located in Sinai. During the operation of the railway from Afula to Sinai, the distance was 300 kilometers.

Big exhibition of old israeli air force machines. Really lot of fight planes. You can sit to some of them. Entrance fee is something about 7 euros. You should go there on the way from dead see back to tel aviv. As a bonus you can meet there some beautiful israeli girl soldiers.

A nice place to for some airplane history with some shows sprinkled in, but bot much to do other than that. It is unfortunate that the main area is just exposed under the sun which means that many people need to huddle together under the few shaded areas for some rest. The reletive low admission price (adult 30, child 20) is OK considering what you can do inside.
Hagai — Google review
This is only good for the advanced tourist unless the visitor has a special connection to the air force. I visited on an off day in the off season. About half of the collection was accessible to the public. The café and the gift shop were closed and it looks like that has been the case for many months . On the plus side, a tour guide was on duty and the photo gallery was open. It's much better to visit on a day with a scheduled air show. Remember to stay hydrated. In all I am glad that I went.

Ein Hemed National Park, located just a short distance from Jerusalem, is a picturesque nature reserve and national park. The park's natural beauty includes waterfalls and pools that are perfect for swimming or simply enjoying the serene surroundings. Additionally, nearby Abu Ghosh village is renowned for its delicious hummus, making Ein Hemed an ideal destination for a day trip from Jerusalem.
One of Israel's most beautiful places. Plenty of greenery and shade with lovely water streams. Beautiful location worth a stop but not a destination on its own. The highlight is definitely the crusader farmhouse. Amazing place even with lots of people Still you will find a quiet place
Alex D — Google review
This place is stunningly beautiful. It's more of a park & picnic area than a tourist site. There is a moderately well-preserved crusaders area fort that is cool. But as a lush green park with a creek it's unbelievable. Many park benches, places to sit creek side, and even a good number of well-kept water closets and sink stations. This is an outstanding place for a picnic or a day of rest.

A beautiful nature enclave right outside of Jerusalem. It's great during all seasons of the year, in the summer the water is nice and refreshing and there's plenty of shade. Lots of greenery and beautiful scenery. Side note, you will encounter quite a lot of family photographers, especially during certain times of the year such as fall 🍂
Nechama — Google review
Could be a beautiful park however it was super crowded with ultra orthodox and others BBQing filling the air with smoke and disgusting smells, children running around everywhere, heaps of trash dirty diapers literally hell on earth by the population that visits the park. My advice come on the sabbath to avoid the ultra orthodox and or very early and leave when the smoke fills the air.
Oren R — Google review
1. Violation of the Core Gospel Message (The New Covenant): The pursuit of physical, territorial restoration as a primary goal fundamentally undermines the faith. Scripture clearly establishes that the prophecies of the Old Covenant were fully accomplished through the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans, Hebrews). Interpreting the Old Testament promises as a justification for political and military state-building effectively denies the completeness and sufficiency of the New Covenant instituted by Christ. 2. Secularization of Spiritual Hope: The true Christian hope for 'Zion' is not focused on the conflict-ridden territory of the Middle East, but on the 'Heavenly Jerusalem' and the spiritual reality of the Kingdom of God (Hebrews 12:22). This project ignores that spiritual truth and prioritizes the carnal, geopolitical conflict of the physical world. This is the opposite of the Gospel message, which is rooted in peace and reconciliation. 3. Loss of Theological Integrity: For any Christian group (such as Christian Zionists) to prioritize the political State of Israel over the spiritual mission of the Church represents a critical theological error. This stance effectively diminishes the scope of Christ's sacrifice and risks becoming a betrayal of the finished work of redemption. It gives religious justification to political action, thereby perpetuating conflict. 📣 Final Warning "The promises of the Old Covenant were fulfilled by the sacrifice of our Lord, Jesus Christ, who died to atone for our sins. Scripture is unequivocal: to cling to a literal, political 'land covenant' after Christ's sacrifice is to fundamentally reject the finished work of the Son of God. This path is not the fulfillment of prophecy; it is an act that risks opposing the spiritual truth and peace brought by Christ, leading to the danger of serving as a 'Synagogue of Satan' (Revelation 2:9) that actively promotes strife."

The Negev Zoo in Israel is a beloved wildlife park that is ideal for families with children. It may be small, but it offers a perfect experience without being overcrowded. Additionally, finding parking nearby is always convenient. The zoo provides plenty of shade to ensure comfort during visits. Admission costs 35NIS per person and it is recommended to wear a hat and sunglasses while exploring the grounds. This inviting establishment boasts a friendly staff who warmly welcome guests alongside an array of fascinating animals.
Fun zoo. The animals were visible and very active (I was there in the early afternoon, 13-16). Kids have the option to buy food to feed the animals. I wasn't a huge fan of this because it made some of the animals very cranky when they realized I didn't have food - most simply walked away, but a few tried to bite me through the bars. A fun place to spend a few hours.
Judah — Google review
This park has went through a heavy face-lift fairly recently, and now actually gives the Ramat Gan Safari a run for its' money. It doesn't have as many animals as the aformentioned zoo, but it compensates for it fully by giving the visitors a better experience overall. The park grew at least 3 times in area with the renovations made, was remade from the ground up animal-keeps-wise and is now promoting a less of a classical zoo makeup, but a holistic approach, where the visitors go about their trip around the grounds, and observe the animals doing their thing. The enclosures are large, the scenery is smartly designed for a great walk and includes many shaded sitting arrangements and toilets. Reccomend not to put your faith on the bus to get from there to wherever you're going and either walk back to the main road to catch another bus or take a taxi(won't cost much to the central bus station).
Maria N — Google review
An unconventional zoo. With a non-standard design. There are quite a few animals of all kinds. Very beautiful lions and an impressive hippopotamus :-). There are enough toilets and kiosks with drinks and snacks. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance and come in weather that is not too hot, in order to see as many animals as possible outside their hiding places.
Marina ( — Google review
My favorite zoo in Israel. Small but perfect for families with children. Never too crowded and always close parking. Lots if shade too.
Dani H — Google review
A big sprawling zoo, with large enclosures for most animals, quite a few nature - related activities for kids, lots of places to sit, water fountains, shade... A full-day (or a good few hours) occupation for families with kids and not only them. Would've given it a 5, if there weren't so many kiosks selling overpriced junk all over the place. Well, guess they have to make money off the place somehow...
Frezie G — Google review
I recently visited the zoo, and while I appreciate the effort to care for the animals, I was very concerned about some of the conditions. Many of the animals looked very thin, and it seemed like they are not getting enough proper nutrition. Additionally, there was a serious lack of shaded areas in many enclosures. Animals need places to escape the sun and rest comfortably, especially on hot days, but unfortunately, most of them had no access to shade. It was particularly alarming to see the small animals kept in glass enclosures. They clearly have too little space, cannot move freely, and looked very stressed. It seems that many of them are slowly dying from stress and the lack of a natural environment. I understand that running a zoo is challenging, and I truly respect the staff who work hard to maintain the animals’ health. However, I believe that adding shade for all animals, reviewing their diets, providing enough space, and improving conditions for the small animals would make a huge difference. Animals deserve a safe and comfortable environment that meets their physical and emotional needs. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the welfare of all the animals.💔😿

A bit boring. It is good only for a picnic. The tiny water puddles to dip the legs in are filthy. The toilets are dirty and unattended to. There is not enough shade for a picnic in the summer. The disk-golf baskets are not properly marked and we didn't know their route. The kids enjoyed examining colorful stones and little rocks, and splashing in the puddles. The rope bridge is a nice attraction outside of Eshkol park, and there are sea turtles in the stream below it.

I was unfortunately disappointed from my visit there. My family and I went together during Passover vacation (April 2019). The entrance price is 22 NIS for an adult and 9 NIS for a child. The weather was great and there were many benches and tables under the shadow of huge trees. The open space was big and generally nice (a lot of green grass). However, the park seems to be a little neglected - the water in the fountain seem polluted (since there is no flow, it became kind of a swamp). The wading pool was very literally empty. The viewpoint is just a 10 meters tall tower. Also, the reconstructed ruins of an Egyptian resting station are no more than a bunch of knee-height brick walls. On 3 pm an announcement came via PA system saying a tour is starting (probably because it was Passover). We decided to pass, realizing there is not much to see that will make an significant addition to what you can read online. View the pictures!

(Translated by Google) An interesting gallery where the exhibition changes every few months and you can even purchase items from it. It is recommended to include it in a tour of the old city of Beer Sheva because it is located in an amazing hotel that is also worth a visit!
