It's a splendid place with the sun set. The ocean is clean and the waves come warming the feet. The lighthouse stands to the sea and makes a wonderful plot to photographers. The area is a little risky in terms of safety, one should always be smart.

Without a shadow of a doubt it is a wonderful place,It has a wonderful sunset, I recommend it. The sad thing is the rough sea, but other than that it is exceptional.

For the cheap admission you get to visit the oldest lighthouse on the continent! There is a ton of history here with ship models and salvaged artifacts dating to the 17th century. A must visit for Salvador and be sure to climb up to the top for the views!

Unfortunately, our stay at Casa Di Vina was very different from what we expected. The room is spacious, but it urgently needs improvements. As soon as we entered, we noticed a strong smell of mold and even found spiders and ants. The cleanliness left much to be desired. Noise was another major issue. The hotel is extremely loud, and the rooms have no soundproofing. We could hear footsteps from the room next to ours and, at night, the noise from the restaurant and people talking and drinking made it impossible to rest. Breakfast was also disappointing. The service felt selective, and when we arrived around 9 a.m. (breakfast is served until 10), the staff treated us poorly because they were already trying to prepare the restaurant for lunch. They even tried to push guests toward tables by the pool. When we refused, the atmosphere turned hostile, which made the experience very uncomfortable. Another unpleasant aspect was the behavior of some male employees, who stared in an invasive way, making the environment feel unwelcoming. On top of that, the hotel was under construction, with no prior notice. There was dust and noise in the mornings, and staff would even sweep the restaurant while guests were still having breakfast, as if to hurry us out. To make matters worse, room service was unsatisfactory: meals arrived without plates, cutlery, or drinks. In the end, what was supposed to be a pleasant stay in Salvador turned into a frustrating and exhausting experience.

One of the front desk staff was rude while I was checking out. I went up to him and he asked me why I was coming to him when the person next to him was free. The restaurant has great food and the room was very clean. It is a bit far from the main attractions and restaurants.

Unfortunately very inflexible. We arrived one day later because our flight was cancelled, but we had to pay the unused night anyway. We offered to stay one more night but we had to pay the unused anyway. A good hotel would be more accommodating.

The staff is fluent in English and eager to help with local spots for dining, tourism and just “beach”. *handy to have a car in this area if you plan on getting around on your own.

But the salmon sashimi I had better elsewhere and I also did not really like the way they do stuff with salmon skin (they create an almost powder-like substance), I prefer it whole, as it feeels more crunchy. Hot rolls also didn’t feel like anything special. Decoration was pretty mediocre taking in consideration the price of their food and even had some cement patches here and there on the walls.. Staff was alright, nothing to call home about , but not bad either. At one time , it seemed to me that the owner came to deliver part of an order and he was pretty courteous. Summing up, if you have deep pockets and want good food, this is certainly a good place. If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, you will probably find it elsewhere.
