The food was most disgusting I ever had in my life in any resort I had been.they have the most cheapest kind of meat and fish and all the rice and beans where under cooked I could not eat anything salad bar and dessert bar was poor too I will not recommend it to anyone
It has been a great experience so far. The staff is great especially Robert do Carmo, very friendly and funny. The weather is amazing and we've been enjoying the beach and pools everyday.
The food is largely good and with lots of options the thematic nights at the main restaurant plays a key role in diversity.
A few tweaks would get the service level from four to five stars and I'll list below.
1. Each food station should have plates and cutlery.
2. There's nowhere to eat between 6am and 7am, I know who is hungry at that time right, but there are parents with kids up around that time and not having access to food is annoying when you are in an all inclusive experience.
3. On the same line as the previous point, having the kids pool opening at 9am is a recipe for people not respecting the working hours, by 9 many kids have been up for 3 to 4 hours and managing their patience for that long is quite challenging.
Around accommodations everything is a bit worn off in the apartments. The edge of the mirrors are rusty, the corner of the counters are worn, the cortains are old, the room could use a coat of paint. These are details that don't impact the overall experience but makes it unfair to rank it a 5.
The wifi has to be better, if you are going to offer the service it should be of good quality and at this point it simply not.
They have a confirmed bot, "Jorginho" which can't answer simple questions it's another sign that tech needs an update around here.
All in all, I probably would come back here. Perhaps try the villa accommodations as they seem to be newer.
It's such a good place for tripping and getting a needed relax.
Gorgeous resort with lots to do for kids and adults. The food could be better. My kids (4 and 6) loved the clubinho do sol, the park, the beach, the pool, and the zip line. I enjoyed the dance lessons and workout class at the beach, as well as the massage (extra charge).
Good food and beverage, the beers quality is above the average all inclusive I've been in Brazil. The resort itself is quite pleasant with a chill out area with beach view and an extra pool located next to reception for adults mostly if you dont fancy children screaming and running around you. The main issue I found there was the service. When arriving be prepared to wait in line for a long time as they are really slow to check you in. Also if like me you have a flight later in the afternoon, after check out they will ban you to access any amenities from the hotel and you are stuck at reception until your transport to the airport arrives. They are very happy to take your money and treat you well during your stay but it ends after check out. If they catch you walking around without the bracelet provided during arrival you gonna get told off as if you were trespassing. Every other resort I've been they were happy to let you stay and chill out by the pool while waiting for your transport, you could even have snacks or some coffee as most of it goes to waste every day. A nice place but with a mediocre guest treatment.
The hotel overall was okay ( I guess it’s good for Brazilian standard) the beer was cold, friendly bartenders! Wine was very inferior quality, I had to constantly buy wine bottles from Coco Dende because I couldn’t even drink their “all inclusive” box wine. I was trying to get a cupcake so I could take pictures of my daughters first birthday, I called them and ordered, went to the front desk and reminded them, on the day that I needed the cake, they informed me that the cupcake was only going to be ready at 7pm! I did mentioned I had a photo shoot at 3pm!!!

Very kids friendly
A simple, yet wonderful resort. It's located on the coast, with a great view and access to the beach. The rooms are a bit simple, but nothing that would hider the stay. The restaurants (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks) are very good and tasty. It also allows you to drink all day long. In all a extremely positive experience.

It's an old and historical brothel, which was very famous during the 20's. The place was later set on fire, and was completely restored. Today it is a memorial place that tells the history of the city. It is possible to see some cabarét shows, and have a guided visit to the most famous mistress of the time. It is really worth visiting.

Historic place with nice environment. Well preserved and private. I liked the old photos on the walls and the cabaré corner. Menu seems fair with some good options to pick from. A landmark in Ilhéus. Totally recommended.

Decided to have lunch here on a bank holiday. Ordered the filet mignon that is in the menu picture (you can find mine here attached) and carne do sol with rice and cassava puree (awful). Filet mignon a little over cooked than I asked. Loved the premium drinks though!

My wife and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary. We can’t put into words the quality of both the food and the service Bataclan delivered tonight. I ordered the filet mignon with penne with gorgonzola sauce and my wife had the sea food pasta, our entrees were excellent and perfectly cooked. My wife had a delicious Argentinean Malbec and I had the coldest tap beer you can possibly imagine. The historical site and live violinist adds even more reasons to visit this place. One of greatest experiences Ilheus has to offer.

Originally a residence of the Amado family, it has been renovated and converted into a museum celebrating the author's life and works. The museum was inaugurated on 27th June 1997. Although small in size, it offers visitors an insight into the prolific literary output of this celebrated Brazilian author.

Jorge Amado wrote several Brazilian stories. It was good to visit the place where some of them might have been written .
The place seems forgotten by the local administration. It’s closed because of COVID but regardless of that it looks so forgotten. Painting got old, there are plants growing in the balconies, the place is forgotten. It proves the Brazilian tradition of destroying its history. Jorge Amado was one of Brazil’s greatest writers, his memory must be preserved, though the local administration of Ilheus seems to be doing that it can to destroy Jorge Amado’s memory.
Definitely worth visiting but don't get too excited - the exhibition is quite poor. It could be sooo much better if well administrated. Also, only cash accepted for the tickets.
Closed on the weekend, even on Saturday there's no chance to visit

Two glasses of freshly pressed cupuaçu juice accompanied the meal (way nicer than juiced from frozen cupuaçu extract served in São Paulo). I was disappointed that a self proclaimed feijoada restaurant did not serve caipirinhas, that cost them the fifth star. Reasonably priced
They have the best feijoada in downtown area in Ilhéus, Bahia.

We choose to dine there despite a number of negative reviews. In our experience the positive reviews win. The great taste on our plate, combined with a glass of fine wine, brought the Italian feel nearby. Cordial service in a beautiful interior boosted a good atmosphere. With the help of the guys for table service I succeeded in making my picky and critical lady really happy. Apparently we were really lucky to finish our dinner with an excellent tiramisu, the last one ready to be served. It's costing something but then you have something.

Is an Italian restaurant. The special of the day was steak with risotto. Both were too salty and the steak was a bit stiff and had a lot of chewy parts.

It is very crowded. There are many options and the locals are super friendly. We had a very good time.
It is however not well ventilated, and the temperatures soar high. We had to stop half way and cool off with coconut water drink.
A good place to buy gifts and goods to remember the city, also reasonably close to the airport, so it could be a good place to do "last minute sales" before go back from a trip. It is not so huge, but you can find good products there, and negotiate good prices.
The place definitely needs a renovation but it's worth visiting if someone wants to buy some chocolate or souvenirs.
Very well run and cared for market. The facilities are very clean. The vendors are friendly and not pushy.
