We stumbled across this place while visiting the beach. At first, we just wanted to sit down and enjoy some water and soda, but we ended up having a couple of beers and decided to stay for lunch and we’re so glad we did! The service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to communicate with us in English. They also had a Spanish-speaking staff member, which was a big help and made us feel even more welcome. We started with the fried tapioca, which came with a pineapple sauce. it was delicious and a great app to start. For our main dish, we shared the moqueca jajico, a fish stew that was absolutely fantastic. The portion was very generous more then enough for two people. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing, and the food really exceeded our expectations. If we lived nearby, we’d come here all the time. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Restaurante Casa Caiçara! The waiter spoke English and even had a few words of French, which was quite amusing.
