Marina
Port de Toulon is a bustling military port and marina that serves as the French war port on the Mediterranean Sea. It also functions as an embarkation point for ferries to Corsica, Sardinia, and the Maghreb, making it a popular stop for tourists. The bay of Toulon is renowned as one of the most beautiful harbors in Europe, attracting both fishing boats and luxury yachts. Additionally, there are multiple ports where ferries and cruise ships dock.
it's such a calm and beautiful port. there are so many small ferries and cruise to roam around mediterranean sea.

A very nice coastal city. Relatively clean and very presentable. Tourism activities are available for different types of tourists. Most locals we met here understood English so communication was easy.

Amazing view from the port. Accessible for reseau Mistral Ferris routes M8 , M18 and M28. The only place where you can see the sea water level is next to your feet along the route. On the other side beautiful restaurants . The connection to Corsica and sardinia ferries are frequent.
Zaheed M — Google review
Nice cosy atmosphere and a lot of boats! Most impressive, is the amount of French people that speak English. And they look so proud, doing so!
Arjan S — Google review
Only there for a day off a cruise. A gorgeous place...attractive beaches and sea, and a pleasant centre near the old port. Like the blue land train too! The coastline is very scenic.

Museum
The Musée National de la Marine in Toulon, located on the French Riviera, offers a glimpse into French naval history from the 17th century to the present day. Housed in the arsenal gatehouse, it showcases a unique collection of boat models including vessels and galleys. The museum's splendid 18th-century monumental gate marks its entrance and presents paintings, sculptures, and relief plans that evoke maritime life in Toulon during the 18th century.
It is such a beautiful place. it holds the Toulon ports history and so many wonderful ship models. it was free for students under 25 and the experience is wonderful. I learned a lot about significance of Toulon and its role in World war 2. Such a heroic journey by the french navy. The staff is also very sweet and the souvenir shop is really good.
Madhushree S — Google review
Beautiful museum with that holds great stories that took place in Toulon. Would come again, but would bring a fan just in case.
[SYSTEM101] — Google review
It was very nice. There is a lot of information. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I used the audio phones which was nice but the verbiage is repetitive and numbers don't match all the displays. Headsets would be better than holding a phone up to your ear. It was vey warm in the museum.
Kathi K — Google review
At Musée National de la Marine it’s really interesting. The atmosphere seems to transport you to other times — you feel the spirit of sea adventures. Many cool exhibits and everything is done so that you don’t get bored. A great place for a walk and new impressions!
Ольга О — Google review
What a cool museum! Kids under 18 free of charge, adults 6.50€ each. Set over two floors of lots of information on the Marine and Naval history of Toulon. Very informative and the kids enjoyed listening to the free English audio guides to the stories behind the paintings, model boats/ships and buildings. Not a large museum, we spent 1.5 hours there. Toilets and gift shop at the entrance.
Charlene E — Google review
Great visit, amazing museum with very interesting and practical display of information: ships, sea, fishing etc. ; the exhibition "En solitaire autour du monde" was so interesting, showcasing the competion "Vendee Globe" - one sailor, one boat, four oceans. Also has a restaurnat with Eiffel Tower view...overall, a must visit in Trocadéro!
Ioan P — Google review
Very small but cosy marine museum that attracts with an art of the ships modeling, deep history and a modern warfare. The mystery of the wooden ships development ends up with a high-end nuclear technology, the outcome of the ships evolution can be spotted behind the window in the military port. There are no interactive exhibits that could attract kids before the certain age. After visiting a museum, tickets can be used to get a discount to have a boat trip around the warship facilities and see the history with own eyes.

Mayol is a large shopping mall located near the ferry in Mayol, Caracas. It offers a wide variety of shops, including familiar fast-food chains and over 100 stores. Some of the first floor shops are not open, but the mall overall is generally well-managed and provides good service. The quality of fresh seafood here is excellent with great prices, making it highly recommended.
Excellent Quality fresh seafood with great prices, team are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Please note, this shop is outside of Mayol shopping centre on the harbour.

Not enough stores and food options and little far away to the city center.

Average shopping mall convenient to the ferry dock for visiting cruise passengers. At the dock go right about 300 meters then turn left at the tunnel, prior to the stadium. Cross the street and proceed into the mall.

Nice mall but not as much variety as we'd like to see. Toilets are small and not very clean. Carrefour is far busier than you'd expect.

Stadium
Sports activity location
Stade Mayol, also known as Mayol Stadium, is a renowned sports venue in Toulon, France. It has a seating capacity of up to 14,700 spectators and serves as the home ground for the popular Toulon rugby union club. Rugby enthusiasts from all over are drawn to this stadium due to Toulon's impressive track record in the sport, having secured numerous national titles and three championship wins in the Top 14 European Cup.
Came to watch Quins play the mighty Toulon. What a great stadium. Most stadiums these days are out on ring roads. This is right in the centre of town two minutes from all the bars and restaurants in the port. Those lucky enough to have flats above the southen stand seemed to be having parties with fans on the balconies. The mountains behind and the sea air make this an epic gladiatorial theatre of rugby dreams. We designed and super friendly. I loved this place and thought it was fantastic.

One of the many exciting places to visit when in Toulon will be when you attend a rugby march of TRC TOULON RUGBY CLUB. Some of the worlds best rugby hero's like Mathieu Bastareud, All Black outside centre Malakai Fekitoa, Kiwi inside centre Ma'a Nonu, Left wing Semi Radradra and right wing Josua Tuisova from Fiji, Top 14 TRY SCORER Chris Ashton and a fire wall of Sringboks like Duane Vermeulen, Bryan Habana, Juandré Krüger, JP Pietersen, Marcel van der Merwe are all performing here every 2nd Saturday of the month. Stade Mayol is next to the Port where you find a multitude of restaurants bordering the port. So get up early to strole through the small ancient streets before you hitting one of the restaurants before the game.

Le marché du cours Lafayette

4.0
(2714)
Market
Cours Lafayette Market is the largest outdoor market in Toulon, taking place most days of the week except for Mondays. It offers a variety of seasonal produce, from nectarines and peaches in summer to leaks and cabbages in cooler weather. Located on a pedestrian street stretching to the harbor, it's where locals buy groceries and visitors can experience local delicacies at reasonable prices. In addition to groceries, the market also features flowers, clothing, local products, and small home furnishings.
This farmers'market is the most important thing to do in Toulon. Indeed it is very famous for its local "Provence" delicious products such as olives, Corsican specialities and wonderful veg and fruit. The atmosphere, under the pleasant shade of green leaves trees allows you to walk the market up from the harbour to the top and getting rewarded with some cafes. You might as well want to stop by in the shops along that long pedestrian alley. Buy, try out, taste and meet people in one of the best typical (yet not the only one) areas of Toulon.
Suphie G — Google review
This weekend market primarily features a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, making it less appealing for tourists seeking souvenirs. However, it's an excellent place to purchase and enjoy fresh fruits. Additionally, you can explore the diverse range of homemade dishes and products crafted by the local vendors.
Zohra F — Google review
It's a nice place to wander around, although it's pretty much like any other you'll find in most French cities. It's one plus is that it's next to the port from which you can take a ride to unknown villages four 4 Euros. The one I took was a complete surprise. I stepped off the boat and entered the world of a water jousting tournament. It was free and a beer was only 2 Euros.

Paola greeted us at reception on our arrival. She was very friendly and helpful. It was a welcomed greeting after our very long drive. Paola was also extremely versatile as she could not only speak beautiful French but her English was excellent. Having meet Paola we feel encouraged that we booked our night with the Ibis.

Stayed here for only one night. Pros: - very convenient location. About 20-25 minute walk from the train station. Easy walking to the whole of the center. Not too far of a walk from the beach. Very close to restaurants as well as a big shopping center. - big bed. wasn't two twins put together, but an actual single bed. Cons: - room felt very dated, otherwise clean / no complaints - breakfast was very animal focused. Little/no vegan options. But this is pretty standard in France. Tip: to find the entrance, walk up the stairs if you are coming from the train station / town... Google Maps doesn't seem to navigate correctly to the front entrance. You'll know when you confront this situation.
Paul G — Google review
We stayed at Ibis Styles Toulon for one night before catching our ferry to Mallorca, and it was a very convenient choice. The hotel is ideally located, just a short drive to the port, which made our travel plans much easier. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we were particularly impressed with the breakfast. It was by far the best we've had at any Ibis Styles, a great variety, fresh options, and everything well presented. The only downside to our stay was the reception staff. While they were friendly at check-in, they seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than being attentive to guests afterwards. A bit more professionalism at the front desk would have made the experience feel more welcoming overall. Still, for a short stay near the port, the hotel delivers on comfort and convenience.

the personnel is very friendly and my room was very quiet. The AC is not working very well and it is noisy.the breakfast is okay with a large choice of salted and sweet propositions. only the scrambled eggs were not very appetizing.

Aside from initial difficulty finding an entrance (it's on a podium level above the shopping centre, accessible from escalators from the square) the hotel itself is in a great central location, very close to both the port and city centre attractions. The staff were friendly, the room was surprisingly large but otherwise as you'd expect from Ibis Styles with a reasonably comfortable bed and basic but functional bathroom. The included breakfast was great with a with range of different hot and cold items and some good bread and pastries.
Matt K — Google review
I liked the water fountain, very sustainable and I would fill my water bottle daily which is great. Maybe the room lack a mini fridge and I needed because I was staying for 6 nights

Hotel is very near to the marine, can get loud at times with all the tooting going on. Supermarket and shopping mall on the doorstep literally. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant located in the hotel was good. Breakfast was ok. Room was good size for a family of 3, daily housekeeping was good, however the room could do with a deep clean, as some parts of the room/bathroom has not been touched a while ago, no big deal but you'd like to think that this is bare minimum. No kettle provided in the room It's a good value hotel

What is better for business? 4 people drinking and having a nice time and enjoying your restaurant ? Or 2 of us resentfully finishing our drinks and then thinking twice about ever returning? The server told us the kids couldn’t have a cookie that my little daughter proudly bought herself at Les Halles and brought back to share with her brother. So she had to go eat it on the curb. The server told us it’s bad for business. In my opinion what’s really bad for business is to be so rigid in your rules that you alienate people who frequent your establishment weekly and sometimes more. We used to love coming here and some of your servers are really cool. But today didn’t hit the mark at all. Also when I tried to bring it up to the server he didn’t acknowledge that he could be wrong. Instead he doubled down on his argument didn’t acknowledge my complaint and then proceeded to mansplain to me « how things are in France ». Well guess what buddy, I have lived here for the past 11 years. I live around the corner in fact. I know how France works and there are loads and loads of French people and businesses who appreciate us and are super kind and considerate and compassionate and their restaurants are where we will go in the future. We love Manofica, we love BBurger and Crêperie du Port. I’m happy to remove this review once someone from Le France acknowledges that wasn’t cool to treat friends like that. Bon Dimanche

Racines - Cuisine de Producteurs, meaning "Roots" in French, is a delightful restaurant that prides itself on using locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients. The menu changes with the seasons to showcase the freshest offerings from local producers. From inventive vegetable-forward creations to artisanal cheeses and carefully selected meats, every dish is a delightful exploration of Provencal flavors. The warm welcome from Sylvie and Bertrand ensures that guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
This cute tiny restaurant was close to my hotel, and I went there for dinner. They serve the menu (2 or 3 course), but it was too late for me to have the whole experience, and I went for the main only. I had a fish wish red rice and season vegetables selected by chef - that was fantastically blended in flavours and textures! The fish was so fresh that it melted in my mouth! Paired with one of the best rose wines from Bandol region recommended by the owner - it was a fantastic light dinner with a regional twist! Thank you for the lovely couple of owners for the warm atmosphere, mind blowing food and their attentive service! merci beaucoup!

September 2024 A restaurant that only uses fresh AND local ingredients, they know every farmer or 'producer' of their ingredients. Besides that is was also a good dinner. Even their coffee is roasted in Toulon. Had a nice risotto, veal and cheese - like I said, alles from the region. Ask for the wine by the glass, they have some half bottles as well. 3 course meal in only 47€. (to start)

I don’t normally post reviews, but I just had to share what an amazing time I had here with my family! The food was very fresh and delicious — the lamb and polenta dishes were especially excellent. The chef / owner made us feel very welcome, and we really appreciated the time he took to explain each dish. The level of care put into the food and sourcing was obvious and incredible. My family left the restaurant very happy, and we talked about the food all the way home! I will definitely make it a mission to come back!

Lovely restaurant on the beach. We made reservations a couple weeks in advance and were promptly seated outside when we arrived. The only thing about sitting outside is dealing with people smoking while we are trying to enjoy our meal. Anyway, you get a lovely view of the water and service was pretty good at the beginning. It took some time for food to be served. We ordered: Oyster plate: everyone else enjoyed the oysters. I don’t touch those. Linguine gambas: 5/5 this was very tasty and the gambas a huge! They like on the pasta. Could easily feed 3. Fradette : my bil enjoyed this Filet bœuf: 4/5 my filet was small and good. 🥔 were good. Menu enfant steak haché: kids loved this. Came with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Assiette fromage: 5/5 good selection of cheese. Not sure if they were short staffed but when it came time for dessert and to get the bill that whole process took over an hour! We wouldn’t have minded too much as we were hanging out with my family but my baby nephew was getting cranky and we just wanted to get our dessert and get out of there. We flagged our waitress and others several times before they brought out our ice cream and bill.

I visited this restaurant with my daughter for a mother-daughter date, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered the Veal and Olive Stufatu, along with a kids’ meal for my little one. The food was bland and lacked any real flavor. Given the prices, I expected a much higher standard — but sadly, it didn’t deliver. If you’re going for the ambiance or Instagram-worthy aesthetics, this place might be worth a visit. But if you’re looking for a satisfying, well-prepared meal, I wouldn’t recommend it. I was genuinely disappointed after tasting my dish. They could really do better.

Bar staff are 10 out of 10 but we had bad experience with Phillipe who we believe owns the place. We spent money on cocktails and drinks but Phillppe stopped our autistic child from using the shower to remove sand. we could use toilet but not showers. Furthermore, he then insulted us further by saying UK people have low standards and suggested we didn't. We were about to purchase food for 10 people but after the insults fron Phillppe we went elsewhere. Bar staff were really nice from start to finish, shame they have a leader with no customer service
