Puerto de la Cruz in 5 days

If you only have 5 days to spend in Puerto de la Cruz, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Puerto de la Cruz is one of Spain's most popular summer vacation spots, thanks to its balmy temperatures and the array of beaches and nightlife on offer. Located in the Canary Islands the city itself has a number of attractions, including the Archaeological Museum and Loro Parque (a world-famous Canary Islands animal adventure park), but the real reason to visit is to take advantage of the many activities outside this remarkable city. Experience paragliding from Teide National Park, caving in Lava Cave or take a tour through the remarkable Masca Valley.
With favorites like Centro Comercial Martiánez, Indian Crown, and McDonald's, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Pomodoro and Restaurante Tasca Los Lobos so you can get the best taste of Puerto de la Cruz while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Loro Park, located in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, is a beautifully landscaped zoo that offers an impressive variety of animal attractions. The park is renowned for its extensive collection of parrots and hosts classic shows featuring these colorful birds. Additionally, visitors can enjoy dolphin shows and witness the majesty of killer whales in action.
I recently had the chance to visit Loro Parque in Tenerife, and I have to say—it completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this wasn’t just another zoo; it’s a beautifully maintained, world-class conservation park that truly cares about the animals and the visitor experience. It’s absolutely worth arriving right when the park opens. The early hours are quieter, cooler, and give you a head start on the most popular attractions and shows before the crowds arrive. We managed to enjoy a peaceful stroll through the park and even caught the first show of the day with no lines.

Amazing Day at Loro Parque! Loro Parque is absolutely incredible – a must-visit! There’s so much to see and do, and the animals are clearly very well cared for. The enclosures are spacious, beautifully designed, and give you great views without ever feeling overcrowded for the animals. Everything felt clean, organised, and really well maintained. The dolphin and orca shows were a real highlight – absolutely amazing and definitely a must-see while you’re there. They were professional, fun, and showed off the animals’ intelligence and beauty in such a memorable way. There’s plenty to keep you entertained all day, from the variety of animals to the shows and the little details around the park that make it special. The only downside is that food on site is a bit pricey – but that’s the same in most attractions and didn’t take away from how fantastic the experience was. Overall, a beautiful park, well worth the visit, and somewhere I’d happily return to again!

Got tickets online earlier as they're discounted, easy to park in their nice underground car park (7 euro). Well worth a visit, clean, accessible, plenty of clean toilets and food outlets which were reasonably priced. It's very clear that your entrance fee and any profits go towards animal welfare and conservation, which is great to know. Get to the Orca, sea lion and dolphin shows early for the beat seats, avoid the front if you want to stay dry, but that's part of the fun. Sea lions were our favourite 🦭. The fish tank displays are brilliant and absolutely massive! 🐟 🐠 The gardens and fauna are amazing! 🌟 ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 🦭🐬👏👏👏👏

Loro Parque is very unique. To call it a zoo would not do it justice. You can tell as you walk through the park that the staff really care about the place. They are constantly cleaning and maintaining the grounds, and the interactions with the animals at the shows are really impressive. You can tell there is a lot of trust between the handlers and their animal coworkers. Beyond that, the rare and endangered animals they have are too many to list. My wife and I had a great time and even made friends with a beautiful Pasquels Parrot. Highly recommend visiting! I recommend at least 5 hours to see everything, and bring good walking shoes as there are slopes and slippery sections.
Ryan — Google review
Loro Parque is an exceptional experience, and exceeded our expectations. We attended all the shows and each show showed us the true beauties of these animals. We also got the beautiful feeling that each and every staff really love and care for these animals and it adds to the beauty of the experience. The whole park is exceptionally well kept and when you read around the park and listen to all the information when attending the shows, you realise how much the park really does and it makes you really appreciate the experience even more. We actually spent 6+ hours here and we still felt we could of stayed longer. We visited the Orca show twice as we needed to get splashed 😆 🤣. My favourite show was the Sea Lions but that's not to say that the Dolphins, Parrots & Orca's weren't worth the watch even if you want to watch them twice lol.
Sjcartier L — Google review
Absolutley stunning experience at Loro Parque. We arrived there early ( booked our tickets as twin with Siam Park ) and there was no waiting ( went here on a Saturday ). The park is very clean and well maintanined, facilities are clean, plenty of areas to grab a "snack" but some of the prices are a bit on the high. The shows are all super super entertaining, but as you can imagine packed so I suggest you plan to get to every show 20 min early to get a good spot to view. The Treetops where the birds ( parrots ) are was a great highlight you can see them up close. The shows are all very educational and entertaining focused, the kids loved it. We rented a car to get there as stayed in Costa Adeje, the short trip from there was crossing over hills, so on the way back we went the other way ( north airport way ) and it was all motorway much more enjoyable drive. There was planty of parking when we arrived. ( 8£ for parking all day there but was safe and underground parking as well )

A beautiful ZOO with a unique atmosphere. If you haven't seen killer whales you must visit this place. It is monumental. There is small Teno still feeding itself from mom. The birds are shining in all the colors. There is also a beautiful aquarium and a penguin world with a real snow. I bet there is a lot of people in weekends. Even during the week you have to come early to the shows because it is getting full and they won't let you in anymore. The buffets are very crowded as well. If you have small kids ve sure to take one snacks with you.
BÁRA — Google review
I loved the orcas show! Lovely place. Animals appear well looked after and seem to have a bond with their humans. Only thing i could complain about is it is not very well laid out and despite dozens of signs we still ended up getting lost multiple times! Other than that its brilliant

Beach
Playa del Castillo is a stunning black sand beach located in the north of the island. Despite some rocky areas, it offers better access to the water and ample space for bathing. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards, ensuring safety for visitors. While swimming can be challenging due to the rocky bottom and strong waves, the picturesque setting with palm trees makes it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets.
Very beautiful beach, especially at sunset. The walk to it from the city center and the views are amazing
Stan — Google review
A beach that has portions of sand and large boulders, in equal measure. Not very well maintained, there is a lot of seaweed brought by the waves on the shore. Many of the visitors seem to be locals. There doesn't seem to be any kiosk/bar in the immediate vicinity, where you can get something to drink or a snack.
Paul C — Google review
Playas Puerto de la Cruz includes Playa del Castillo and Playa María Jiménez, two dark sand beaches on the north coast designed in 1990 by Canarian artist César Manrique. A scenic promenade with gardens, cafés, restaurants, and playgrounds runs alongside the beaches. On clear days, you can see Teide and even La Palma, and sunsets here are spectacular. Both beaches have showers, toilets, lifeguards, and sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. The water is usually safe for swimming, with a gradual entry, though caution is needed during rough weather. The area can get crowded on weekends and public holidays. Parking is free along the nearby streets or in a lot about 500 m away, but spaces fill quickly in busy periods. Bus: Lines 354, 381 to Playa Jardín stop. More info on the website: honest-tenerife

A very beautiful beach with black volcanic sand and palm trees. The waves can be huge and hard hitting, which can shake you up, but also calm for a good swim. A great time for relaxing in the sun with a beautiful view especially as the sun dissappear in the horizon.

Beautiful location, very nice boardwalk. Not too busy these days.

A really relaxing and beautiful beach with black volcanic sand and plam trees. I looked up places to watch the sunset. And this place did not disappoint. The sunset is gorgeous from here, never seen anything like it😍 You can sit on the beach or on the promenade. It's a nice play to chill and relax at any time of the day or night.
Kayleigh K — Google review
Beautiful black beach. But swimming is very difficult because of the rocky bottom and strong waves. It is better to have special shoes. The waves are constantly knocking over the feet and dragging on the stones. I always came out of the water covered in scratches. Lifeguards, a toilet, a changing room and a restaurant on the shore are open until 16:00. There are also sunbeds and umbrellas for an additional fee
Jane S — Google review
Nice beach for the north of the island. It is mostly black sand with the ever present few rocks but access to the water and the amount of room for bathing is much better here than many places. As with most of the beaches it is watched over by a lifeguard. As you sit on the beach beautiful music can be heard and the waves crashing against the beach it is a wonderful holiday feeling very relaxed as opposed to the noisy party areas of the south! This beach is very family friendly in that there are toilets, safe spaces to paddle and sunbeds with umbrellas for hire. The 'jardin' (garden) nearby is visible to the left as you sit looking at the sea and adds to the beautiful feeling of this beach. To the right as you look at the sea there is a seawall, with cannons and a sculpture on it. We saw a couple of hawkers selling big sheets for sitting on or wearing but they were friendly and respectful. Lovely place to come

The Municipal Market of Puerto de la Cruz is a lively shopping destination that offers a variety of goods and local products. Situated in the largest resort in Tenerife, this market features clothing shops, vendors selling meat, produce, and prepared foods. Visitors can explore the biweekly market held in the town's mercado building and surrounding streets to discover an array of items including food and drink from local farmers, antiques, chic clothes, and household items.
Not overly crowded mall /supermarket with various stores under one roof. Includes a chemist, fruit and veg stores, coffee shops, food outlets, electronics, clothes, etc. Convenient to get around as it is compact. Bright and clean.

A variety of shops with some selling local produce. The market is open weekly Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am until 2pm with a handicraft market on Sundays also from 10 until 2pm. The shops inside are open every day. Onside car park.

Lovely indoor and outdoor flea market. Outside the shopping centre and located on the top carpark open on sat 8-2 and Wednesday.

We attended the Sunday 'flea' market. The equivalent of an English jumble sale or car boot. Interesting mix of stalls, selling used items intermingled with craft stalls. Not to mention the most unique one man band!
Jason C — Google review
if only we had a social sense in England, we would have places like this. busy with shoppers, stall holders from collectables to flee market to hyperstore plus many more. Butcher, fishmongers bars, cafes, restaurants. And people talking to each other.
Andrew G — Google review
Visited here on holiday. Not woth it. Old worn out stuff outside. Jumble sale. Inside a few stalls and shops. Got a coffee upstairs. It just wasn't worth the walk there. Not really much to buy. Very disappointed. Would not bother again. There a bus which you can get. Takes you to a different market. Went last year But didn't get a chance this time round. Don't waste yr time going here. 😕

Very lively square. Lots of activities, bars and restaurants. Today we had a show prepared by Asian kids. Very adorable and interesting. Besides, the carnival has started so maybe that is why there are so many people? Streets around the square are busy with people. Everybody wants to be there and have a bite or pint. In the middle of the square there is a nice restaurant where you can enjoy every meal. Breakfast for a start

Busy place, locals and tourists go there for food and to hangout. A bit overpriced in my opinion. Something to see.

Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Peña de Francia, a 1697 Catholic church, is surrounded by beautiful gardens and features a stunning wooden Mudejar ceiling and three naves. Nearby, Calle la Hoya offers charming shops and cafes to explore. Additionally, visitors can admire the architectural beauty of Casa de la Aduana while taking in the remnants of Garachico's volcanic activity at Parque de la Puerta de Tierra.
A lovely church that looked more beautiful on the inside than the grey brick work exterior. It had stunning alters in brilliant gold that looked really bright as you entered. It had little stained glass windows. I liked the wooden vaulted roof and the tower entrance too. It was very busy with tourists and local people. Definetly worth a visit.

Nice church, unfortunately was closed but took time out in the garden. Open today, beautiful inside. Remember €3 donation is the price of an ice cream to upkeep these ancient churches.

A well deserved and decorated with gold church in the middle of town. Handy for Sunday Mass
Teresa C — Google review
This temple houses some of the most revered images in Tenerife such as the Virgen del Carmen in Puerto de la Cruz and the Great Power of God. This temple has three naves separated by Tuscan-Roman columns and semicircular arches. The interior is made of wood with Mudéjar coffered ceilings so typical of Canarian religious architecture. Outside, the roof is covered with pointed Arabic tiles. Inside the temple we find a series of small rectangular chapels, which have nothing to do with the rest of the nave, since they were added later to the first factory. During the reform carried out at the end of the 19th century by the architect Manuel de Camara, the Canary balconies located in the upper part of the facade (from the side of the message and the gospel) were abolished, as well as the bell tower located at the beginning of these ships. In its place was a semi-circular vertical window with a gutter at the top and a sloping sill. The cornice was cut off, covering it with a parapet. A tower rises above the portal of the church, adjoining the beginning of the first nave. It consists of three successive bodies of decreasing width that conflict with the rest of the structure. Night view outside. Inside are numerous works of art, including four canvases adorning the altarpiece of the Gospel Chapel by Luis de la Cruz y Ríos, and five more paintings adorning the pulpit attributed to his father Manuel de la Cruz. In sculpture, the "Lord of the Great Power", an 18th-century work, deserves attention; Virgen del Rosario, from the 17th century; Saint John the Evangelist of the 17th century, as well as Saint Dominic, the famous Virgen del Carmen of Puerto de la Cruz and Saint Peter in his remorse for anonymous authorship. In jewelry, it is worth highlighting the excellent tabernacle made of gilded silver, made in Cuba in the 18th century by the famous silversmith Escobar. Baroque embossed silver litter given as a gift for Corpus Christi, also in the 18th century. Large cross overlaid with chased silver. Finally, other silver embossed parish litters acquired in the 18th century.

The restaurant Pomodoro Restaurante Puerto de la Cruz offers amazing food and service. Despite initially being hesitant, the decision to dine there was rewarding. The breaded chicken was fresh and delicious, while the pizza tasted amazing. The welcoming server enhanced the overall atmosphere with their happiness. Additionally, the food arrived promptly, surprising us with an affordable end price of 38 euros. This seafood restaurant boasts stunning sea views and serves exceptional tapas dishes that were faultless according to a professional chef.
Great food at accessible prices. Staff were helpful and they moved very fast. The view of the ocean is excellent and the atmosphere fantastic. Totally worth it. If you want something traditional go for the fish or the rabbit and the papas arrugadas.

We have ordered a Pizza, Grilled Salmon, Goat meat, grilled mussels, and a fresh salad. The food arrived in time, delicious, fresh and tasty. The service was excellent and most importantly with a smile. The atmosphere is magical with the ocean waves striking the wall beneath us.

Nice restaurant with beautiful panorama view on the ocean, rocks and city. Menu is extensive. Seafood, pizza, meat are tasty. Sangria is good.
Andriy S — Google review
Service was absolutely terrible when my partner and I tried ordering our drinks the waiter walked off midway through the order for no one to return for 15 minutes until we asked another waiter if we could order, when our food finally came there was enough oil to service two cars and bland in taste. We asked for condiments for the table as we saw other tables with little pots of mayo and ketchup they never returned again. The setting of the restaurant was beautiful, it was just a shame the service let it down.
Will K — Google review
It was busy when we came so we were asked to stand aside as they not only tried to serve other customers but also prepare our table with only one waiter at that moment and it was only for a couple minutes and then we picked what we wanted which was a pizza(€8) and Stirloin steak (€24) the pizza was so good honestly it was thin based but dowsed in sauce and cheese and herbs and just amazing and the steak was perfection food came super fast and they let us take our time after to relax til we were ready to pay no one came over to rush us or anything honestly so lovely and amazing service + amazing veiw!

I like this place, ended up here by chance before reading anything! Very good food and moderate prices! The staff are super nice and the service is top notch! Dropped a fork on the floor and before I could blink there was a new and clean one for me on the table! The location is cozy and calming with a view of the water and hear. the roar of the waves! Recommended and will return!

Wait time was atrocious. One starter came out the other never did. Had to ask for it and it came. Mains came out and hadn't finished the very late starter. No staff attentivness at all. No asking of more drinks. No asking if our meals were ok. Location perfect. Food nice. Wouldn't return due to staff. Not friendly at all

Tasca Los Lobos is an impressive establishment with a German ambiance. The proprietors and many patrons are of German origin, creating a unique atmosphere. They serve delectable tapas, which are generously portioned, accompanied by exceptional hospitality. Additionally, they offer live broadcasts of German football matches for enthusiasts to enjoy. This restaurant is worth visiting, especially for Germans who have limited knowledge of English or Spanish but still wish to savor Spanish cuisine.
Very neat and German place. Owners are German and so are most of the guests it seemed. They offer delicious tapas, largely scaled and are super friendly. On top of that German football is livestreamed if you are into that. Definitely worth to check out, especially if you are a German with little English/Spanish knowledge and want to experience Spanish food nontheless.

It’s a place run by two German women which serves simple and basic food. We ate a pretty good salad and my son had a decent pizza which was made at the moment. The food was okay but the place is kind of stark and the service a bit slow and distracted.

We nearly cried when we tried the food. I had the grilled fish my partner the chicken curry, garlic bread as starter and chips on side. Everything was amazing, the fish was just beautiful and to top it off amazing German beer and the long island ice tea the best we have ever had. Its our first time on Tenerife been here for 2 days and the food everywhere else was awful, the relief we had from having edible, let alone amazing food is beyond compare. Thank you, very much.

Brunelli's is a family-friendly restaurant located just a 2-minute walk from Loro Park, making it convenient for visitors to the park. The restaurant has received a Michelin Star in 2020, which reflects in its higher prices due to top-notch food quality, presentation, and professional service. It offers American-style steakhouse cuisine and is known for sourcing high-quality meat. Guests highly recommend trying the 1kg tomahawk steak.
Wonderful little restaurant with a lovely view of the ocean. A truly beautiful experience to watch the sunset kiss the ocean - all while enjoying a chateaubriand delicately prepared to perfection. Follow that with an outstanding cheesecake… Also important to note, the service here is so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it!!

The service is absolutely spot on. From a warm reception at the door, moving past the dry aged meats and prep area we were seated right at the window. Watching the sunset as we drank our first drinks, the warm Atlantic ocean breeze and soft sound of waves truly gave us a moment of Zen. The selection of food took a while, as all the options seemed amazing. In the end we shared a few types of steak. The food was cooked to perfection and the taste was spot on, I can highly recommend going for the more premium pieces. The dry aging process really upped the flavor. The desserts were also rich in flavor and tartness. Overall, it has been the best restaurant we've visited on the island so far! If you're here, do not miss this place.

The restaurant looks really good, the view is amazing and thats all... food was okayish. Restaurant was falf empty (even less when we arrived) and we still waited 40-45 minutes for our amuse bouche (which was good I give them that), the table side special starter came an hour after we ordered it, it was really good but still an hour until they come to prepare it in front of you (not sure how much time it took to prepare it once next to the table)... Main courses came fast after that, the fish was recommended to us as they didnt had lobster but wasn't anything special. I ordered my steak medium it came really thin yet it was cooked rare... didn't make a fuss of it since I didn't want to wait more and I do enjoy rare steak just wanted it more cooked this time since we had tartar as a starter. Desserts were nothing special either best thing from the desert testing menu was the ice cream. Overall I expected much more and for me it wasn't worth it. Had much better food and experience on other places during my stay in Tenerife

Unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment. I have been there a few years ago and the food was magnificent, but during my last visit the restaurant did not meet the same standard. The steak did not have any sort of charcoal/grill flavour and I do not think it’s a matter of it being medium raw vs medium, because I take medium raw in all restaurants and if it’s done correctly you can feel the nice “burnt” taste. It could be a matter of a chef doing that particular steak but for 120€ per piece I don’t want to spend that again just to see if it gets better. The fries were cooked in too low oil temperature and were very greasy and empty in the middle. Spinach was totally under salted and barely had any flavour. The older waitress seemed like she really didn’t want to be there as well. I know human factor plays a role in everything but for such an expensive dinner too many things went wrong. The meat quality was amazing, of course it was fresh and good meat, but the preparation disappointed.

My wife and I had the displeasure of eating at Brunelli's tonight. The restaurant itself looks really good, an amazing view of the ocean, and you can hear the waves, so the restaurant have a great ambience. But it all went downhill from there. They started out with a gaspacho/watermelon appetizer, which was ok. For starters, I ordered the croquettes, and my wife ordered the ceviche. The croquettes were pretty good, but we kept waiting for the ceviche, and when the main course arrived we had to tell them that they forgot a dish, and it was a bit late for it now, so no starter for my wife. The main course was their tomahawk with fries, vegetables, a side order of caramelised peas and carrots, and two sauces. The tomahawk steak were decent, but not something I haven't gotten better many times before, a little disappointed over that, since Brunelli's are recommended by Michelin. The fries were fairly boring, the vegetables were overcooked and bland, the caramelised peas and carrots looked and tasted like they came directly from a can. The sauces were ok. For dessert, we ordered mango sorbet, creme brulée, and my wife ordered a second glass of wine. The sorbet was decent, the creme brulée was soggy, bland, and with an overpowering taste of cinnamon. My wife's glass of wine never showed up. For a Michelin recommended restaurant, having a good presentation is good, but they failed on the food itself. If it had been a normal restaurant in Tenerife at half the price, I would just have ignored that they had so little grasp of side dishes, but at this prestige level and price, it does not look good. A restaurant can have a bad day, but a mix of boring and overpriced food, along with having the staff forget TWO orders for a 2 person table put Brunelli's on the "never visit again" list.

Just amazing. Healthy, modern food! Total must do and check out the view
Monika M — Google review
It's called 'Marlin' now and seems to be bad compared to 'Tambo', which is the old name of the small restaurant with a nice view. Wayyy to expensive for what they serve. The mussels were tasteless and they did not have any squid (the reason we came here). The octopus was delicious but overpriced as well. The way the waitress treated us showed how desperately the restaurant is in need of customers. She was kind but overly attached. Will not set a foot in there again.

Real nice small restaurant. With fantastic view and even better food. We had two different fishes and great desert. Really liked it and definitely will go back.

Great seafood restaurant with alternatives, like a very tasty mango and goat cheese salat, for people like me, who cannot eat seafood. The waitresses are very nice and do speak English quite well. Highly recommended.

Day 2

Northwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Complejo Turístico Municipal Costa Martiánez, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Centro Comercial Martiánez. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Swimming pool
Complejo Turístico Municipal Costa Martiánez, also known as Cesar Manriques Lago Martianez, is a stunning complex featuring artificial seawater pools, beaches, gardens and terraces. Designed by artist Cesar Manrique, this one-kilometer stretch offers a unique space that mirrors the natural environment of Tenerife.
Brilliant day spent here with three children aged 3, 7 and 8. Great selection of salt water pools for all ages. Beautiful ocean views allowing safe views of the ebb and flow. €7 per adult (August 2025) and under 11 free, €3 umbrella that you do need for shade. Open from 10am til 6pm and gets busy but still plenty of beds. Some pools have outside shower areas. On site bar and restaurants, only place you can smoke/vape is at the bar. Seemed to be a favourite for the locals. Several food/drinks sellers but be prepared to queue. We arrived for the opening and left at five with tired but happy children. Clean manned toilets with ample facilities. Not supposed to take your own food or drink but discretion is the way forward.

Wonderful views!! Entry is 7 euros for a day and umbrella is an additional 3 euros. The swimming pools are clean and enjoyable, the views are simply amazing and the sound + sight of ocean waves outside the pools makes it a unique experience! We spend half a day here but I think one full day would also be enjoyable!! Many options for eating and also clean dressing rooms and toilets. Only thing I didn’t like is that the staff was a bit unfriendly and started closing up the pools way before the actual closing time (6pm)
Fancsali B — Google review
Great fun. €7 entry for full day, bar & food available. Salt water pool. Lovely & clean place with plenty of sun loungers. Quite busy but plenty of place to swim and friendly vibes. However expect umbrellas to be taken already. It is very deep in certain areas and rocky edges to get in and out so you must be careful during your time there. Not many lifeguards seen however they were blowing whistles at those jumping off rocks so were clearly present and aware.
Poppy P — Google review
Only got to visit 2 of the pool areas as we arrived pretty late, weather wasn’t the best but I enjoyed our few hours there. TikTok brought me there all though it is a bit overpriced and over hyped it was a great day out pool was empty so enjoyed a good swim. Bathrooms are clean, however prepare your bones for the hill of death lol the hill or the steps to heaven as I named them short cut to the top is the steps if you ask me if walking to the bus is a life changer lolol but it was all worth it 8/10

Good for a day out in the sun. €7 PP, toilets and changing facilities included. Have to pay extra for an umbrella. Swimming pools all nice and big, plenty room if it’s busy. Would recommend for a day out.

beautiful beach It's a shame that there is no sand when you enter the water only stones but well I would say it's a nice place
Careless A — Google review
It's not one of the most beautiful beaches in Tenerife. In general, only large stones. There is also a section with black sand, but here you can also find stones. It seems to be sought after by surfing enthusiasts. There is a small cafe at the edge of the beach.
Paul C — Google review
Spectacular views of the waves hitting the cliffs and an amazing panorama of the city . Sunny and hot even in febuary ! Finished with an amazing walk up the colourful stairs and beautiful flowers
Mateusz F — Google review
Unfortunately, this is not a proper beach. There's hardly any sand, and it is full of rocks and stones, which make the sea inaccessible to swimmers. It's nice and relaxing watching the surfers, paragliding and some evenings there is live music. This creates a lovely vibe about the place, hence 3 stars.
Dav M — Google review
Nice beach with nice waves. Good for surfing I think! Both stone and black sand.

This beach is not for swimming, but still really beautiful to visit. To watch surfers or to surf, there’s a little shop for people who want to surf. There’s a little cafe nearby. The view is great! And it’s so calming just to sit there and enjoy the waves.

An ok free public beach, easily accessible. It has a sandy area to lay down. Mosty, everything else is rocky. Great for surfing. There are lifeguards watching out.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Puerto de la Cruz, Vinoteca Con Pasión is a delightful haven for wine enthusiasts and food lovers alike. This charming venue boasts an impressive array of both local and international wines, expertly curated by knowledgeable sommeliers who are eager to guide you through your tasting experience. The atmosphere is upscale yet inviting, making it perfect for those looking to indulge in gourmet dishes paired with exquisite wines.
Would have never found it without Google Maps, despite being minutes from the main strip. Great wee place though. Small but well formed tapas menu. They do a bit of Med/Eastern fusion. The peanut chicken is interesting, enjoyed it. The prawn with curry is just excellent. As are the anchovies. But anyway, it's a wine bar, and the selection is vast, and all heroically local (some from Iberia, but mostly much closer). Tried the Brut Valeoro, a sparkling wine from just up the hill. Stupendous. You won't get these wines at home because they don't make so much, but try them when you are here.

This is an amazing wine and tapas experience. The food is very good, and the deserts are excellent. We had the wine flight with two white and two reds, then some cava, and coffee. Definitely worth a visit. The wine list is extensive, so ask for recommendations - each recommendation was excellent.

As wine lovers, we have found the best address in Puerto Cruz here - everything else doesn't even come close. The wines by the glass are well chosen, there is often more to choose from than listed on the menu and the consultation is very good. You can also buy the wine in the shop next door and drink it the next evening in the hotel. The tapas were innovative, very tasty and varied. The service is perfect and attentive. We've been here twice in 9 days and we don't normally go to the same restaurant twice. My number one recommendation in Puerto Cruz.

A lovely restaurant with an excellent wine menu. A small but interesting food menu with beautifully prepared tapas and salads. The croquettes were 10/10 and the tropical salad with curried prawns was our favourite salad of the 2 week holiday. Update- We visited again this week and had amazing food and wine. The restaurant gets extremely busy, so book in advance if possible.

Shopping mall
Centro Comercial Martiánez is an undercover shopping center located on the east side of town in Calle Aguilar y Quesada. It offers a variety of shops including fashion, shoes, perfumeries, jewelers, and a supermarket. Visitors can also find familiar brands like Movie Star and Burger King. The mall is well-maintained with helpful staff and underground parking.
Very clean shopping centre open every day (although the supermarket is shut on Sundays) Good choice of shops including Lefties, Encuentro, Intersport, Springfield, Ale Hop and many more. A nice little cafe serving cake and coffee. Other eating places include Burger King.
Tenerife J — Google review
A not very spectacular shopping center. Otherwise, the same with all malls in Tenerife. A few stores of brands that you can find in many other malls in Europe, cleanliness, a Mercadona supermarket (not very rich in offers), extremely few customers. There is no fast food area inside. Outside there is a restaurant with a terrace and a small bar. Boring.
Paul C — Google review
Great place for shopping close to a beautiful stroll along the sea. This is the best resort on the island. Far superior to those on the South side. There’s a really great bus service on the island if you prefer not to hire a car.
Sandra D — Google review
Compact and straightforward shopping plaza. Contains a handful of familiar brand stores found in other malls, well-maintained, with a Mercadona supermarket, but limited in deals. No fast food court inside. Outdoors, there's a restaurant with a patio and a cozy bar. Parking fees are steep, though it's the only choice in this area. A decent spot if you plan to stroll around Puerto de la Cruz while keeping your car secure.
Jules W — Google review
Spacious, clean shopping precinct. Kids spent hours in the Ale-Hop store. Nicely air conditioned, so cool at all times, regardless of the temperature outside.
Jason C — Google review
Nice shopping center with a supermarket. But I can't recommend the parking garage. On level 2 of the parking garage, there's sprayed asbestos in some of the suspended ceiling. Very dangerous for your health and the reason it's so dusty. That‘s the reason for only one star.
Alex M — Google review
Smart looking shopping centre with nice clean amenities. It’s not exactly a thriving centre, with many closed or never opened stores, but it has potential and is good for clothes shopping.

La Taberna Del Lago is a well-located Italian restaurant that offers a good range of dishes for vegetarians and Pescetarians. The staff are accommodating and willing to modify dishes upon request. The portions are generous, and the prices are fair for the quality of food and drinks offered. Customers have praised the shared meat platter, seafood platter, and paella as particularly delicious options.
I waited a long time for a waiter, but the food was delicious. I even liked shrimp I didn't like. Though good, it's skimpy in alcohol. The dessert filled any gaps. Delicious

Been for tea tonight, food was absolutely gorgeous, fresh and tasty and very fast to come after ordering. Average cocktails priced fairly. Lovely location especially at sunset. Massive negative was the rude waiter, we had to follow him to ask for a table to which he didn’t even reply just gestured towards the tables, he then asked us if we wanted a menu and when I asked for a cocktail menu, didn’t respond whatsoever just brought me one, again not saying anything. Made us feel very unwelcome. We were then served by another waiter and waitress who were polite, however after waiting for over 20 minutes to ask for the bill we went up the front to pay instead. £45 for 5 tapas dishes and 2 cocktails, Both good price - just a shame about the service EDIT - approximately an hour after posting this review (about 2 hours after eating here) my partner became violently sick and has since been suffering from food poisoning, up all night and unwell all today whilst on holiday, this is the only place we ate out at yesterday! Avoid !!!
Abbie W — Google review
Great food, amazing service, and incredible portions! All for a fair price. I recommend the shared meat platter for 2 (could honestly serve 4). The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great, I would however critique the pork chop and chicken breast as they could have used more flavour. Overall, 5 stars.

Paella seafood was good with multiple burger was too greasy and little vegetables. Grilled cheeses were good. Service was OK, but it was sure that servers are overworked. Has not been served by one server but by multiple which is usually worse experience than being served by one. Sangria was too strong (not to our likings) People smoking in the restaurant but it seems to be the thing all over Spain.

Super friendly service. Very efficient and welcoming. Reasonable prices for the quality of food. And a lovely spot to watch the sun go down too.
Tenerife J — Google review
I wish I saw all these reviews before hand, now I understand why they get a lot of 1 star rating. The service is absolutely terrible, the waiters were so rude and clearly did not want to serve tourists. They also seem unable to handle serving multiple tables, as they became easily stressed and were rushing around like headless chickens. The food was also disappointingly bland. I regret wasting my time and money dining here.

Truly amazing food, great service and amazing value for money with the family we had two soups, seafood platter that is more than enough for 3 to 4 and drinks came to over €80 euros...! Impressive stuff. Definitely becback again

Il Ponte is a charming little pizzeria tucked away on a picturesque street. Here, you are greeted by an extremely friendly service that is always attentive. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes – the pizza stands out with its thin, crispy crust and generous toppings. The pasta is also a highlight: freshly prepared and excellent in flavor.
For us, the best Italian restaurant in Tenerife; authentic, delicious pastas and pizza, good wines, traditional and basic, no haughty nonsense. Every time when we stay in Puerto de la Cruz, we have dinner here several times because of the simplicity and delicious Italian dishes. Very friendly staff (family restaurant) and a very hard working owner/chef and his wife, who deserve all respect! Price/quality wise definitely ok.

We felt completely at home in this charming, family-run restaurant — so much so that we ended up dining there on three different evenings. The food and the value for money are simply unbeatable. From my perspective, the pasta and the fritto misto were particular highlights. Some of the Pasta is homemade, so the Price is reasonable. My partner was so taken with the Pizza Ponte that he didn’t want to order anything else after trying it. Highly recommended!

The restaurant, situated on the stairs of Camino de las Cabras, offers high-quality food and attentive service. This place is the real deal. Go there and you won't be disappointed. The staff are really friendly and on top of it -- which says a lot because it's a very popular and so busy place. The food was outstanding. The tapas menu will vary each day, so go back. Easily some of the best I've had. Their sandwiches are equally great. Only managed to go twice (photos are from both visits), otherwise would have tried more. And, as the other reviews say, yes that barraquito is yummy.
Andru S — Google review
First of all it's not a restaurant, it's a bar and tapas. Fried calamari are unfortunately an imitation. Tinto de verano and sangría are not worth. Better to go with a beer. Ensaladilla was good. The chicken and white beans are also not worth. Colesaw tapa without any love (i.e. dressing). Recommendation: go somewhere else.
Ramiro T — Google review
Great tapas and cheap beer. I just wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu. The waiter was extremely friendly and made the experience even better. I also tried the typical Tenerife coffee, Barraquito – it was absolutely delicious! Overall, a really nice place to stop by.⭐️

What a great little tapas restaurant. The menu depends on what is fresh that day which is brilliant. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. All the food is so flavourful and they do a great deal of doing lots of small tapas for 2 people for €25 so you can taste everything. Very clean restaurant, the staff even clean your table when clearing your courses which is such a nice touch.

The Indian Crown restaurant offers a delicious and spicy menu that is perfect for anyone looking to taste different flavors from across India. The wine selection is extensive and varied, so there's definitely something for everyone here.
Spectacular! I’ve visited many curry houses in my life so I’m always sceptical when trying new places, however, I was served the best curry of my life here. The prices are fantastic for the quality of these curries. I stared with popadoms with the sauces which were great. The onion bhajis were a great size and beautiful too. The onion fried rice and butter naan were also brilliant. But the stars of the show were the curries. I shared a chicken tikka masala and lamb madras with my partner. The chicken was lovely. For those who order a lamb curry will know it’s different everywhere but here the cut of the lamb was the leg making it extra tender and super flavourful. I was taken away by the flavours and the lamb actually tasting fresh! The staff were amazing, they really take care of you and are super friendly. Again, the best Indian curry house I’ve ever visited. If you visit Puerto de la Cruz and you appreciate a good curry, this is the place to go.

It’s a very excellent restaurant with an amazing taste of food and great cleanliness. The environment is nice, and the staff is very lovely—they give a warm welcome. The waiter Jagga is a nice and gentle young man who deals with everyone very kindly. I 100% recommend everyone to try it at least once, please.

We were craving for Indian dinner and we had a nice meal! The vegetarian samosas were generous and tasty, while chicken tandoori was delicious. I like how the curry was built: choose the meat, the spice level (we picked Madras - spicy and it delivered!) and the type of curry. For the sides we chose rice Zeera (with cumin seeds) and garlic cheese naan. They are flavourful and fragrant! Service was outstanding, staff was attentive and we got our complimentary limoncello! It cured our cravings, definitely recommend this to everyone!
V H — Google review
We tried their Keema naan and Chicken tikka naan yesterday, both missed the mark ‼️ Next day we tried prawn pouring, kebab and vegetable pakkora as starter and Lamb Pasanda and Tarka daal with spice level vindaloo and phal as main. Starter was average but salad looked old. I won't recommend their kebab at all. Both main dishes were good, roties was perfect but naan were bit gouee (would have better if made little thinner).

The fantastic smell upon entering, the smiling faces of the staff, how they explain their food...and last but certainly not least the food itself...just amazingly tastefull. Highly recommendable. Fair price, broad choices. Quick serving. We went two days in a row, always welcome, ordered different dishes, all amazing taste...just fantastic. Well done guys! For interested customers: Don't order too much, because you tend to eat slower because you want to enjoy the tastes, so you end up feeling satisfied and full with less amount of food.

It was our first time in Tenerife . After checking the review we went to this place and it was amazing. Staff members were welcoming, the atmosphere was very nice and food was excellent. We ordered saag paneer, rice and garlic naan which was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommended if you are around Puerto de la Cruz.

It was our first time visiting Tenerife. After checking the review we went to this place and it was amazing. Staff members were welcoming, the atmosphere was very nice and food was excellent. Being a paneer fan ,I ordered saag paneer which was absolutely delicious. We asked them to make it a bit spicy so they did cater to our taste. I forgot to say the same about Dal Makhani so it was a bit on a sweeter side but still the taste was perfect. Definitely recommended if you are around Puerto de la Cruz.

Mango Curry was good, but definitely have had better ones before. Can recommend Courtney in Stuttgart, Germany. The three sauces for the Popadums were not great. The Lemon Curry meat was bland and not of good quality. Had many pieces that were chewy and had a strange taste. All in all, nothing to special. Positive was that the service staff was committed. The location definitely could use some improvements, but might as well be the charm of Tenerife.

Botanical garden
The Botanical Garden in Puerto de la Cruz, also known as Jardin Botanico de Aclimatacion de la Orotava, is an 18th-century garden featuring a diverse collection of tropical and subtropical plants. Visitors can marvel at the 200-year-old fig tree and take a leisurely stroll through the garden's beautiful scenery, exotic flowers, and impressive trees.
A beautiful botanical garden – especially the tropical and humid sections are stunning! For only 3 euros, it's a fantastic outing where you can easily spend a lot of time, especially if you love plants. Peaceful, green, and full of fascinating species – highly recommended for nature lovers!
Elodie F — Google review
Such a beautiful place! 🌺🪴 The garden is full of amazing plants, from huge tropical leaves to colorful flowers and water lilies. It feels very peaceful and relaxing to walk around, and you can really take your time just enjoying. I even spotted a bright red dragonfly, which made the visit feel even more special. Perfect spot to escape the busy tourist areas for a while 😉 Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Tenerife!

This was a lovely cool oasis on a hot day. A great selection of trees and plants, the online map and plant ID guide was great for the ID of key specimens. Plenty of people there, but did not feel busy. Lots of benches to enjoy the shade and bird life. Highly recommended.
Rachel B — Google review
Absolutely amazing and fascinating place, well worth the €3 euros each. Spent about 2 hours pottering about. If you love plants and wildlife I'd recommend it so highly one of the best things we did all week. The man on the desk was super helpful too, despite us being sleep deprived and speaking zero Spanish, he was able to help us find a taxi rank and number. I'm sure we looked like fools haha!
Rowanne — Google review
The Botanical Garden serves as a tranquil sanctuary, offering visitors a considerable respite from the coastal heat and humidity. For an entrance fee of just 3 euros, guests can explore the winding pathways and admire a lush and diverse collection of flora, some of which are truly exceptional. There are a lot of strategically placed benches throughout the park for relaxation. Visitors planning their journey should be aware that the inland distance from the coast results in significantly higher temperatures, making walking to the location strenuous (at least for us it was 😅)
Martina V — Google review
A bit small but very beautiful. Great selection of tropical plants. Whatever grows in my home is twenty times bigger in this place. We spend over two hours hiding from the heat. Very recommended.
Kate W — Google review
3 euros per person to enter!! Well worth a visit and every penny paid! Loved the tropical feel , beautifully maintained! Toilets immaculate, free to enter!

Went here with family friends and I must say this is one of the most exotic parks I've been too. So many plants from different parts of the world organised in such a beautiful way. This definitely takes some studying to be able to manage this ecosystem. The place is more like a 30 min- 1 hour stroll. Its big but not thay big so keep that in mind. Even though the place is hot on the outside of the park, the inside is cool due to the shade of the trees. Free toilets upon paying a 2 Euro fee for locals, free for university students and kids under 8. I uploaded many pics so that they speak for the park.

Scenic spot
Mirador La Paz in Puerto de la Cruz offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city's newest area and Playa Martianez, making it a romantic spot for couples to witness incredible sunsets. The viewpoint also provides stunning vistas of Lake Martianez, the Atlantic Ocean, and on clear days, even the distant island of La Palma. Visitors can also explore the nearby Agatha Street with colorful steps paying tribute to the author.
The actual name is Mirador de la Paz or Plaza Mirador de la Paz. It's a great space with some tourist information. You can see Puerto de la Cruz from above, as well as Playa Martinez. There are some stairs and safe footpaths on the edge of the cliff, giving you stunning views.
Realme 3 — Google review
A small square with a viewpoint that offers very beautiful views of the city and the ocean. From here you can continue your walk on a promenade along the edge of a rocky wall, from where you will again have beautiful views. There are also some restaurants along the route. A wonderful place to watch the sunset, but not only that.

Mirador La Paz is a serene viewpoint offering stunning panoramic vistas, perfect for moments of reflection or capturing nature's beauty. Its breathtaking scenery, from sunrise to sunset, provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. A visit here is not just about the view; it's an experience that stays with you, making it a must-see for anyone seeking peace and natural splendor.

Pretty nice viewpoint with a great view of the ocean, breakwater, and surrounding city. A few mini monuments dedicated to the tourist and Agatha Christie. There is also a church built in 1591, across the Mirador.

Loved this vibrant and lively town. Best to park at the large park by the beach and walk along the shore toward the town and thd marina. Many people enjoying the walk, icecream and dinner. Very good feeling walking around. Beautiful town, beach and we also had a good view toward the mountains. Beautiful, lively town worth seeing.

Rating this 4 stars because I come up here to see the sunset. The sunset was a little bit disappointing, better off to watch it at playa jardin! But the view is astonishing!

Gardens
Nestled in the heart of Puerto de la Cruz, Sitio Litre Garden is a captivating botanical haven that boasts an impressive history spanning over 220 years. As the oldest garden in Tenerife, it features a stunning array of lush flora, including the island's largest collection of orchids and the magnificent dragon tree, which is over 300 years old. Visitors can stroll through this enchanting space while enjoying its serene fish pond and delightful café.
A Hidden Gem in the City! We discovered this hidden gem of a botanical garden and were pleasantly surprised. The entrance fee was only €4.50, and the garden turned out to be much larger than expected and very well-maintained. We also enjoyed a drink—a coffee, a water, and a delicious double bruschetta with extra cheese—all for just €9.50 in total. Truly a must-visit spot to relax and unwind right in the heart of the city. Highly recommended!

This orchid garden looks small but its not! It is filled with beautiful plamts and romantical hedges and arches. You can also find some history and art on the walls about this garden. You can feed koi fish, you can see birds and you can do a workshop painting. The orcids might be in pots, but they are lovely still. It is completely worth the price, only 5 euros for the complete access of this garden. If you walk by, just go in! Its so worth it, really cute cultural experience
Lisa V — Google review
I went expecting to get a real sense of the botanical vibrancy of the Canary Islands and instead found a monument to the colonial influence of the British elite with only a handful of native plants. There was no reference to this historical context, aside from a sign outside (not in affiliation with the garden). My other observation was that there was a very limited variety of orchids, I could only spot one or two species and they were the same ones you see in the supermarket. The garden has a real potential to educate tourists on the colonial significance of the space along side its beauty (as it really was stunning) and I would love to encourage that with this review!
Bobby H — Google review
Nice place to visit not too far from the main hotels and resorts area. Impressive collection of orchids and local trees and plants, you can feed the fishes or pet the owners cats that meet you at the entrance. 4.25€ entrance per adult.
Ionut ( — Google review
A small botanical garden, with all kinds of plants. Orchids are not nearly as numerous as the name suggests. There is also a small pond with koy carp, it's quiet, a relaxed atmosphere. Neat, you can see that someone is constantly taking care of the maintenance. I visited it the first hour after opening, 10:00, and it was not crowded at all.
Paul C — Google review
Lovely English style park, very homely, traces of old age and rare things preserved. The people who work there are very hospitable, the avenue of achids is very impressive. I felt like I was in the park of an English lord and his wife, who makes the park cosy. I recommend it to those who like peace and nature.

Disco club
Located in the heart of Mexico City, the disco club Azúcar is a popular spot for dancing to music from the 1970s and 1980s. The venue has a retro atmosphere, with decorations including big screen TVs and retro lighting. It's also often crowded with people who come to listen to live music or watch dance performances.
Bar staff were lovely especially the younger girl, one of the best nights of mine and my mates life’s, music could be bit better and it was €10 to get in with drink included but well worth it.
Hehe H — Google review
Great dancing! So much awesome dancers on one dancefloor. I recommend to go there on saturday, as we did. You pay 5 euros and get welcome drink in the price. The only one thing is that the music is tooooo loud. That´s why I give 4 stars instead of 5.
Anna Č — Google review
Saturday night. Arrived at 2.30am. Very quiet for a nightclub. DJ left the club at 5am. 5 euro entrance to include a drink on arrival. Alot of reggaeton played, less salsa. More atmosphere needed.
John L — Google review
Lots of salsa, bachata and meringue. Very quiet but that's not a problem as plenty space for dancing. 5 euro entrance ticket includes a drink.
Ewelina — Google review
Bad music, mostly bachata. Manager of this club must be blind. If you would change music there would be a lot of more people.

No customers on Sunday, no possibility to check what's inside, poor english on the entrance, mojito taste like squizzed socks :) 5€ obligatory is like to buy a cat in the sack.

The Cosmopolita Cafeteria-Pizzeria offers delicious and remarkably affordable food, surpassing normal urban standards. Rotisserie chicken delicious. Croquettes too dense. Ensaladilla Rusa salty. Service very slow
Manny L — Google review
We ordered 3 pizzas, the shrimp intestinal tract wasn't removed, the cola glass was dirty and the pizza tasted a little strange. We felt a little nauseous and our stomach was upset. In summery the pizzas weren't very fresh. To bad when you are hoping for a delicious pizza. Sorry but the experience was poor. Hope they do a better job for other customers
Berry B — Google review
The food is tasty and extremely inexpensive by normal urban standards -- 3 coffees, a chocolate croissant and a full English breakfast for under €10? Unbeatable. But the service was also prompt, and so genuinely friendly that I'm now sitting here for the second breakfast in as many days. 2x club sandwiches & 2x coffees: €13.50. A gem :-)

Really disappointing experience. The place itself looks ok, the stuff was friendly but the food was really bad. We took two different cakes and donuts and everything was quite bad. The coffee was OK but we didn't come for coffee ;)

From start to finish . The meal . Atmosphere and staff were amazing . Oh loved the robot . Very reasonably priced for a 3 course meal and lovely view to the entrance of the jarden botanico garden 😀 . We shall return on our next visit to dela cruz . Todor. You were great thank you
Mr G — Google review
The food was excellent however prices weren’t all clear from the menu (Black Sea mixed grill for one person you would expect to be half the price of that for two people but was actually closer to two thirds and this was not made clear). The Bulgarian yoghurt dessert was exquisite and Black Sea grill itself was also delicious, the vegetables and meat were seasoned well. The waiters however had an unpleasant attitude and were not very considerate

We came here 3 years ago on our first holiday to Tenerife and loved it so much we made sure to return this time. It did not disappoint. The food is great but the service really sells this place too. Definitely one of my favourite places to go when visiting Puerto de la Cruz for a quick escape from the touristic south where I live... Absolutely fantastic location and area exactly in front of the botanical garden and in a lovely complex building with a garden and great views towards the mountains as well. Food is so good and full of flavours with nice variety being very different than most places around which provide same old basic things in their menus. Definitely will always come back with friends and family and I recommend it 10/10 !!! Keep the good work family ...

Located in a picturesque garden, Cafe Orquidea is a charming eatery nestled amidst beautiful orchids. This cafe, situated in Tenerife's oldest garden - Sito Litre, offers an array of delectable light lunches such as meat platters, olives, cheeses, and homemade cakes. Whether you're visiting with a large group or celebrating a special occasion, the cafe happily caters to your needs. Its unique and eccentric atmosphere adds to its appeal.
Tracey was lovely even having the hands full preparing food for a big table expected. The scones were delicious and the Chai latte very nice! Garden is ok, for residents it is 3,50 pp Nice place filled with flowers and butterflies. Probably a good place for our wedding ❤️

We discovered this delightful Cafe nestled in the beauty of the Jardin Orquidea on Sitrio Litre. The host, Kelly, is a lovely lady and incredibly welcoming. We booked a cream tea and were blown away. The sandwiches were delicious, the cakes were incredible and the home made scones, made by Kelly's mum, are divine. It was so lovely that we booked another cream tea for our 25th wedding anniversary to start the day in style. Every visit has been the same. The food is always excellent, the service quick and friendly and the atmosphere lovely. One of our must do places on every visit to Puerto. Highly recommended.

The cafe is at the far end of the gardens. The gardens are truly gorgeous and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy them before reaching the cafe. The cafe itself seems to be British managed. There is a wide variety of snacks, drinks and food options, it is a little more expensive than the usual cafes and bars in the neighborhood.

This place is perfect. The service is superb, the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing - exactly what a dinner for 2 should look like. We ordered 1 starter, 2 mains, a dessert. Very nice restaurant with great views. Service was really very good and the food was good. The beef tenderloin was a bit of a disappointment as it was well done when we wanted medium rare. Outdoor Activities
Beach Bollullo is a stunning and secluded beach located near Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife. It is known for its strong waves and black volcanic sand. The beach consists of a large main area and a small cove, both with black sand. Despite being easily accessible by car, it's recommended to wear suitable shoes for the foot tour around El Rincon, an area with banana trees. The beach offers restaurants, beach bars, and hammock rental services.
No words! Nice sand! Amazing views! Just one nuance - reach that direction could be not easy. Road till parking only for one car in both directions.
Vladimir G — Google review
Nice beach, only accessible through a bit of a walk, parking is available but costs €5 for tourists. Beautiful black sand and nice views of the surroundings. Also lots of graffiti saying tourists aren’t welcome which is a shame as the restaurant and bar on the beach probably need tourists just as much as the locals to stay in business.
Daniel A — Google review
Amazing beach! Only locals here. There are quite large waves here. It is famous for that. We came here at 6pm and enjoyed jumping into the waves and sometimes getting turned around. There is a bar here. If you come by car I recommend parking about 1.5km before desceding to the beach. Once the narrow road starts you will be in trouble it you meet a car coming towards you. I swear it in the 15 minutes we walked down to the beach we passed several cars trying to manevour the narrow road. Overall, I highly recommend this beach, but beware of the waves! Come here if you enjoy waves!
Ivan K — Google review
Worth the walk from Puerta de la Cruz! It took us about an hour each way, stopping to take pictures along the way. Bear in mind, there are lots of stairs/hills both ways. We were so glad we went. The black volcanic sand is so warm and soft. The huge volcanic rocks and cliffs are stunning. And the waves are huge and breathtaking.
Bria B — Google review
Perfect beach with big waves, amazing to relax, bathing is forbidden though... 5€ for parking, but the road there is horror. You can tak a 4km easy walk there from Puerto. You have to handle a lot of tourists taking pictures. Bar at the beach is a plus, no bathing the downside.
Ondřej B — Google review
Beautiful Black Sand Beach Whether you’re looking to surf the strong waves or simply dip your toes in the water and listen to the soothing sound of the ocean, this is the perfect spot. It has a peaceful, almost private beach vibe and even offers some natural shade in the afternoon ,great for those who aren’t big on sunbathing. We explored everything on foot, but if you’re driving, I’d recommend parking uphill and walking down. It’s well worth the effort
Maggie N — Google review
Amazing beach, nice hike to get there. The waves are very big and you cannot swim but they are spectacular. There is no shower available but that's ok, this beach is totally worth it.
Anca A — Google review
Playa El Bollullo is a hidden gem in Tenerife – stunning black volcanic sand that looks straight out of a postcard. It’s incredibly remote, far from tourist crowds, giving you pure peace and a real nature escape. The waves are mind-blowing, powerful and perfect for surfing – last time I was bodyboarding (that board you lie on to catch waves), and it was an epic rush! Big downside: swimming is now completely banned – currents and waves are way too dangerous, signs everywhere warn you to stay out of the water. Getting there is tricky as hell – steep, narrow cliff path demands good shoes and caution, but the views make it worth every step. Overall, an unforgettable earth-shaking experience if you love raw adventure and untamed beauty. Go for the thrill, just admire the sea from the shore!

Scenic spot
Mirador de Humboldt, named after Alexander von Humboldt, offers a varied and harmonious view of the western coast of Tenerife. Located on the northern edge of the La Orotava Valley, it provides stunning vistas of the sea, sloping valley, and snow-capped Mt. Teide. Visitors can also enjoy views of the northern coast and Puerto de la Cruz from this vantage point.

Nice view, but the place is deserted. The upper gate is open. Lower is closed. Facile parking outside on the street but only for 5 cars. There is no place to sit. Nobody is there. It's shame since it looks very built out.⁸

Beautiful views and very easy access from the main motorway. Buses stop taking up most parking space but there’s spots to stop just a bit further ahead of you are unable to park on the day.
Victoria M — Google review
Its a nice spot and with good views but there is also a coach stop so it could get very busy. It looks like it was designed to have a cafe but the outdoor space is too small. Lots of parking again strange for theres nothing but a view!
Pedro W — Google review
View of part of the northern coast and Puerto de la Cruz, one of the largest cities in the north. You will also see the TF5 highway and, of course, the monument to the German naturalist and traveler Alexander von Humboldt. You can visit when you are nearby.

Nice viewpoint but a little dangerous to get to without car as you have to walk along the the main road which has a number of sharp bends.

Costa Martiánez is a leisure and cultural complex featuring saltwater and freshwater pools with striking fountains, as well as rentable sun loungers. The site also boasts several Cesar Manrique monuments and a variety of dining options. Visitors can purchase day tickets for 5.5 euros or opt for packages that include entrance and lunch. While the pools are not heated, the complex offers an alternative to the area's wild beaches, providing a relaxing environment for adults to swim and unwind.
A beautifully clean and well-organised facility. Reasonably quiet on a Mon PM (11/08). Plenty of sunloungers were available. Excellent value for money at 7EUR per person. No criticisms whatsoever.
Jake B — Google review
It looks really nice, not too expensive and not too crawed. But, water is freezing cold. There are like thousands of people outside of the pool and 20 mazohists (or Eskimos?) in the pool. Shallow standing water, I expected it to be warmer than the ocean, but it's not. If you don't mind cold water then it's perfect for you.
Milan G — Google review
This an honest review, in my opinion. The place looks well maintained. The price is €7 euros per adult and €3 for umbrella rental. There is a bar for drinks and a small on-site restaurant resterante Lago. I noticed a free lending library just at the entrance, too. Unfortunately when we went the changing facilities were closed as far as I could tell. So maybe wise to come prepared. Its fresh salt water pools fed from the sea.
Lesley H — Google review
Arrived and they had decided to close the pools without notice at 1.30pm. Apparently because it was a little windy!! The people already there weren’t not told to leave for their safety. Nothing was blowing around in there or anything! Sun beds still in place, nothing!! Absolute idiots ruining peoples holiday plans!!! If it’s for safety they evacuate the entire complex!! They’re just lazy!
Betsy R — Google review
Wonderful place to spend the day, you need to pay for entrance but it doesn’t cost much. Very clean and well prepared with changing rooms and cold showers. It would be better with warm water in the shower.
Yaman J — Google review
Little bit disappointed that the big pool has been closed since May. But other pools were open. Was still a great deal. When you get in, drinks and food are good and reasonably priced.
Rob H — Google review
€7 entry each and €3 per umbrella. Really nice place to visit with multiple different pools to swim in. Lots of loungers so didn't struggle to find somewhere to sit. Outside space and bathrooms well maintained and kept very clean. Small shop you can buy snacks/drinks at, but limited on options available. Restaurant was ok, but not too expensive- lots of choice for food (we had sandwiches which were nice). Only downside really is it says you can't take your own food in (though a few people in front of us in the queue had cool boxes and didn't get stopped so don't know how strict they are on this!). Would visit again.

Nice place to spend time, we were there from 11 AM to 6 PM. Right by the sea, so you can watch the waves hit the rocks. But there were a few problems. -🎟 There isn't online ticketing, which means you're waiting in line in the sun to get in. -🌂 Our sun umbrella had disappeared when we returned from swimming. We explained this to the person handing out the umbrellas, but he said we had to rent another one instead just handing a second one out. Not customer friendly. -⌛️ At one of the restaurants, we had to wait a long time to pay because the waiter just disappeared. We ended up paying at the counter, as we had waited at least half an hour. They were either understaffed, or the waiter wasn't attentive. Furthermore, they could put signs up to explain why some of the sections are cordoned off. Instead, the life guards blow their whistle and tell people to move away from the sea walls every 20 mins or so. A nice place, and a little bit more effort in terms of infrastructure would make it in to a great Nice place to spend time, but there were 3 problems. -🎟 There isn't online ticketing, which means you're waiting in line in the sun to get in. -🌂 Our sun umbrella had disappeared when we returned from swimming. Playa de San Telmo is a charming beach located in Puerto de la Cruz town. It boasts rock pools, ideal for snorkeling, and a pebbly sunbathing area to relax under the warm sun. The Atlantic Ocean displays its strength at this intimate beach within city limits. Visitors can indulge in swimming amidst waves crashing against the shore.
Nice free public beach, easilyaccessible. There is a bit of sandy area to lay down. Mosty, everything else is rocky. Great for snorkeling and discovering marine life. There are lots and lots of crabs and some fish. There are two showers at the end of the beach. There are lifeguards watching out.

Situated almost in the center of town, this small beach bay features a jetty and natural pool with an entrance just below the boardwalk. It has typical black sand, stony entrance/pier by descending into water by ladder, making it interesting for a quick rest, intense swimming, or snorkeling. While it may not be the top pick for the best beach of the year, it certainly has its unique charm.

Spanish restaurant
Restaurante Régulo is a top-notch dining establishment located in a 17th-century mansion with an inner courtyard and separate dining rooms. It has been recognized in the Michelin guide for its exceptional setting and cuisine. The restaurant offers a blend of Canarian specialties and international dishes, with a focus on seafood such as sautéed octopus, scallops, and shrimps. The ambiance is charming, with an inner sanctum featuring lush plants surrounding the original fountain.
What a fabulous place. Doesn't look much from the outside but inside is just lovely, proper old Canarian style building beautifully maintained. Several dining room areas both downstairs and upstairs. Real cloth table cloths and napkins with each table already prepared with glasses and cutlery. Super friendly service. Great menu choices. My salmon was delicious. Would highly recommend if you are looking for something a bit above average!
Tenerife J — Google review
We have enjoyed this restaurant very much. The service is quick and friendly, our food was very well prepared and we liked the ambiente very much. There is a courtyard in the centre of the building where the roof can be removed. The white housewine is OK-ish. But this might be a matter of personal taste. Definitely a place to come back again. Unfortunately I could not have a cigarette after lunch because there is no open place to sit and smoke.

A really nice place. Proper tablecloths and napkins. My choice of food excellent. Very typical Canarian building. Looks a little severe from the outside but a warm welcome inside. Good English spoken. Highly recommend.

Wonderful restaurant on the heart of Puerto de la Cruz. An old building with different rooms and full of atmosphere. A great menu which caters for everyone and a good wine list. Food flavoursome well presented and delivered hot. Staff efficient & pleasant

I don’t know where to start , unfortunately we aren’t satisfied. I don’t like to leave bad review but honesty is the most important for me. We went to this place last night for my brother birthday. The place is outstanding, gorgeous building and beautiful atmosphere!! Unfortunately the quality of food and level of service was very poor .. while we stood there around four times we get so close to leave .. We get the our table then and waited around 30 minutes for a drink order… We had soup as starter which is I would say wasn’t bad .. but nothing like makes you go back for it .. We where waiting nearly an hour for the main we had paella . It’s okay I do understand this as they promoted our paella freshly made with lobster .. etc .. What we get is a blend tasteless boiled rice.. honestly it was so empty., The lobster we had .. I was shocked when I see the offal was left in it .. it wasn’t cleaned properly also it was super tasteless as well . I was expecting at least some garlic on it or some added spice or anything.. They probably killed it , baked it then served .. the whole time I was chasing the waiter many times as we run out of drinks .. etc The rest of fish in paella it was tasteless again literally 0 season has been added to it . So in that case I do 2 star because the atmosphere was magnificent. My brother had pork paella the meat was okay on it but the rice was taste a bit fishy so they may used the same pan after our lobster paella.. I believe this place deserves a new talented chef who able to raise up the food quality to 2023 . This dish this this way could be super amazing in 1990 but this days people expect more flavour I believe. Overall wasn’t worth over €200 . The wine was nice and the desert was delicious by the way .

Taoro Park, once the grounds of the historic Gran Hotel Taoro, is now a sprawling public park spanning over 100,000 square meters. The park features lush gardens, winding paths, cascading waterfalls, and scenic viewpoints offering panoramic vistas of the city below. This green oasis provides an ideal setting for leisurely strolls, picnics, sports activities or simply unwinding while admiring a breathtaking sunset.
Really clean park with nice vegetation all around! 🥰🌱🌴 Totally enjoyed walking around and admiring the gardens, walkways and lookout points. You can also enjoy excellent panoramic view of the city of Puerto de la Cruz. 🤍

A not very big but beautiful park. Located on a hillside, which makes it offer a very beautiful view of the city. Rich vegetation, paths going up in steps, a few small ponds, unfortunately not very well maintained. At its highest point there is also a small cafe.

A park with stunning bird's-eye views of Puerto de la Cruz, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Relax, admire the scenery, and soak up the local culture with Noble's captivating tiled murals. As usual here, there's some stair-climbing involved.
Jan O — Google review
This park looks abandoned to be honest. I am surprised by the many positive reviews here. There is only one, small water-connected area - all the others look like they haven't seen water since Franco. Some walls are covered in graffiti, the pavement in many places is not bricked or is just covered with many kinds of leaves and dirt. The only positive aspect is the view from the top. However the condition of this place is making it not a good attraction. Waste of knees on hundreds of stairs...

A beautiful small park on a hill. Amazing view to the sea. There is restaurant and bar when you reach the top. Not busy all. I recommend if you are around Puerto de la Cruz, the scenery and atmosphere is incredible.
Claire A — Google review
It was a long steep walk up here but well worth it for the wonderful views whilst we sat in the glorious sunshine and ate our picnic watching the world go by down below in the city. You could see the coast, the port walls and waterpark too and up to the mountains. The paths are well paved and their are steps to get to the different levels, some quite steep. Their was not many flowers about, but we saw some white bird of paradise ones. It was more shrubs and trees but still very pretty and green. There were numerous viewing areas with seating and bins. Their was a cafe with toilets for customers only. It was all very neat and tidy and the gardener was busy at work. Only one of the water features was working, the rest looked like work in progress to clean them out. I would imagine that it would look very different and more colourful in the summer months. I am sure their would be a bus route to bring you nearer and their was roadside parking if walking up us difficult for you.

Monument
Located in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, El Castillo San Felipe is a well-preserved stone castle built in the 17th century for defensive purposes. Also known as the Old Port, it was one of three forts designed to protect the city from pirate and ship attacks. Designed by renowned architect Cassola and built by Antonio Gallegos in 1634, this colonial-style fort has two floors and a pentagonal shape.
A great place, usually tematic exhibitions are held here about paintings. It is free to enter, but they accept donatitons. The seaside around it is beautyful and it is a great viewpoint.

Okay for quick look if you're passing but it's just an art exhibition (and not many exhibits) with no information about the tower itself. It could be better as it's an excellent building in itself.

Sheila B — Google review
Castillo de San Felipe in Puerto de la Cruz The Castillo de San Felipe is one of those places where you can still feel the historic battles fought in defense of the islands and which carries the echo of a more violent and uncertain time. The Castillo de San Felipe is located about one kilometer from the city center of Puerto de la Cruz and right next to the leisure facilities of Playa Jardín. The Castillo de San Felipe had a defensive mission to ward off pirate attacks and was also used as a base station. Although this was the purpose for which it was built, over time it has found many uses, for example it was for a time a hospital, a warehouse, a shooting club and even a restaurant. In recent years it has even been used for concerts and exhibitions. It can be said that the Castillo de San Felipe has been kept in good condition thanks to the remodeling and innovations that are carried out on a regular basis. It currently serves as a cultural space. The Castillo de San Felipe was declared a Cultural Asset and Artistic Historical Monument in 1949 and is part of the Historical Heritage of Spain.

Beautiful! A wide range of food options, very well priced and the staff were super friendly and recommended plenty of good options during our visit. The menu is in many languages. It was extremely clean and decorated nicely. It is on the beach front so the location is perfect. The food itself was delicious and we couldn’t fault a thing. The best part is that you CAN order a paella for one person and it is not a frozen prepared dish. Worth every penny.

The Good: Location, right next to Lago Martinez and the ocean. Dining area is comfortable, foods arrived relatively fast. Service was not particularly friendly, but still very proper. The prices were acceptable. The Bad: Food itself left much to be desired. We ordered two different pasta portions. Both portions were unsatisfactory and bland. We were served "complimentary" breads, only to find out later that they cost 1.5 €. Also, an extra "service fee" of about 2 € was added to our bill. Verdict: would not recommend visiting.

Went for dinner one evening- Food was lovely! Me and my partner are fairly big eaters and there was more than enough to eat for both of us (shared the ham croquette starter-yum! And shared the paella- very good). Both had cocktails (would very much recommend the frozen mango margarita!) decently priced too. Had a great live singer whilst we were there too which was lovely.

Restaurante Tropical is a local gem tucked away in a quiet street of Puerto de la Cruz. It's the perfect spot for seafood lovers, offering excellent tapas, churros, and delightful octopus dishes. Visitors enjoy spending their evenings here without breaking the bank. The restaurant boasts a beautiful local atmosphere and friendly owners. While the fish may be average, the mojo sauce is highly recommended.
This restaurant is a real gem - beautifully located in a charming little alley with a lovely atmosphere. One of the best features is the custom menu option, which is perfect if you're feeling indecisive (guilty as charged!). It's a great concept that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The service is excellent: fast, efficient, and friendly. The food is tasty, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. To be honest, I've eaten here more than once. The last time, I found the portion size below what I had experienced on previous visits. That said, considering the price and the overall value for money, it's still a great place to eat. If someone wants better portions, well pay more and do not choose the daily menu. Don't let some negative reviews fool you - it's definitely worth it.

This place offers excellent value for money with a variety of menu of the day options. We choose from the menu which had a bit of everything! A good selection leaning towards local dishes. Service was friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. They obviously have a lot of regular customers as they knew a lot of them by name! Inside and outside seating. The place is very beautiful and enjoyable. I ordered a menu of the day, it was good for such a price: €12 for three dishes. They replaced a wine by tea because I don’t drink. However, the food itself was average and a bit too salty. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time here.

We had a fantastic experience at Ibéricos. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Tucked away on a charming pedestrian street in Puerto de la Cruz, Ibéricos Gastro-bar is a delightful gem that brings authentic Spanish cuisine to life. If you’re craving the real deal, this cozy spot nails the essentials with flair. From the moment you step onto their lovely terrace, far from the hustle and bustle of the high street, you’re in for a treat. The menu is a love letter to Spanish flavors, offering generous portions of tapas and mains that hit all the right spots. We went all-in with three different tapas starters—each one bursting with flavor—and let me tell you, they were so good we barely had room for the main course! Pro tip: pace yourself if you want to save space for dessert, because we sadly couldn’t squeeze it in. Everything is fairly priced, making it easy to indulge without breaking the bank. The service? Lightning-fast and friendly, adding to the laid-back, casual vibe that makes Ibéricos perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is one of the few places in Puerto de la Cruz serving up authentic local cuisine with heart. Highly recommended for anyone looking to savor Spain in every bite! 🍷🥘 olé! 💃

Exceptional, after 5 days in Tenerife, this is the best restaurant I have visited. The service was 5 star, so knowledgeable, attentive and super fast. The food was delicious, I started with the 100% iberico bellota, so worth the price, melt in you mouth. For mains I had the iberico beef cheek risotto, beautiful and rich, loaded with tender beef cheek. I also had a glass of house red, which was exceptional. If you come to Puerto de la Cruz, make this your dinner choice, you won't regret it. A+++

The most wonderful experience to dine at this place. We went there last night and everyone was smiling widely at the end of the evening. We had as a starter the spicy bloodpudding with goat cheese and pig cheeks with mashed potatoes. As a main dish we had the rabo de toro with mashed potatoes and grawy. All those dishes were fantastic and we highly recomend them. We ended our meal as always with cafe carajillo. The service was also very friendly, yet professional. This is a place we will visit again.

The four of us came after reading many excellent reviews, with high expectations, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. The cheddar-stuffed burger had no real flavor — the meat was dry, lacking any juiciness, and the caramelized onions had a very strange taste. The fries that came with the burger also tasted odd, almost as if they were old. The rabo de toro was fine, but nothing special. The mashed potatoes had an unusual texture and taste, not resembling mashed potatoes at all. The meat croquettes with sauce were probably the best part of the meal. The atmosphere was dull and somewhat uncomfortable, which only added to the disappointment. The rating is given purely because of the staff, who were kind and attentive. In our opinion, not worth your money.

Amazing steak with wine sauce. And a very strong sangria. A bit pricey (app 20 E per person) but worth if you want to try local meat

You will not be dissapointed. Dinner with great flavours. Service is very good. The spicy black pudding starter had a good kick. The Iberico pork was cooked perfectly with a great red wine sauce. The Iberico ham risotto very tasty.

We are on holiday here and wanted to order in for the evening, we saw this place and ordered. Order came right on time! Was absolutely wonderful, pizza was delicious and had lots of flavours and spices. We had the bbq meat feast! We also got wings on the side which were so flavoursome!! The dough balls were lovely too but definitely needs more sauce! With love from two uk tourists!! P.S - please teach the UK how to make good pizzas!!!

Average pizza very greasy. Cheese and rest of products poor quality. Based disgusting. Service nice but generally not recommended. Price definitely not relevant to quality.

Good tasty pizza for a good price. You can see the staff making Your pizza as you wait the ingredients tasted nice and fresh, pizza was steaming hot every time. We enjoyed it so much we’ve been back 3 times 🤣 Tastes like domino’s pizza for less than the half the price we’ve really enjoyed it each time. Staff were lovely each time as well and took time to understand us as we are English.

Super, super good ! The pizza was delicious, perfectly topped and very tasty. The service was excellent, fast, and the staff was super kind and friendly. A great experience, highly recommended !

Best vegan pizza! We were staying at a local hotel (Blue Sea Costa Jardin Spa) and the food was rubbish for vegans. I was sick of eating fries and salad all day every day for our all inclusive eating so we headed into town and came across this place. it was one of the best vegan pizza I’ve had and I’m from the Uk where vegan food is beaming. Staff were very friendly and it wasn’t too busy so a nice quiet meal away from the madness of the main strip. A certain highlight of my trip to Tenerife.
Clydie C — Google review
The food quality of that restaurant kinda falls into a fast food category, and as such it is overpriced. Price-wise I would choose an order from some proper pizzeria instead, possibly sour dough pizzas, with more and fresher ingredients/vegetables/herbs.
Boštjan B — Google review
The staff is very rude and makes you feel like you’re not the customer. As we ordered our pizzas, we noticed that they hadn’t been cut into slices. After we politely asked for them to be cut again, the staff brought back the same pizza. When we asked them to do it correctly, they asked us to pay an additional €2 just for the service. Overall, the food was terrible, with very little meat and mostly onions. The service is just terrible.

Playa del Muelle is a picturesque beach in Puerto de la Cruz, known for its unique natural features such as volcanic sand and rocky terrain. Despite its small size, it attracts many visitors who come to relax on the shore. The beach offers great views from the surrounding walls and provides a calm swimming area protected from large waves. It's an ideal spot for a leisurely dip after activities like biking, with nearby cafes for convenience.

A small beach, with large but round stones, so not very unpleasant. Located in the middle of the city, simple, undeveloped, there are no sunbeds, I didn't see a lifeguard. Good for a quick bath but nothing more.

Nice little fishing harbour in the centre of town. Not really a beach to speak of more just a small pebbly shore line. Theres a couple of benches to sit and chill.
Paul K — Google review
Beautiful central point for the town, lots of local events happening while we were there.

I like it for the diving school there, otherwise i think it's the worst "pier" i have seen until now... I wouldn't even call it a pier but whatever. (funfact: it did cost the same as a normal real pier with pantalons... At least that's what people working there told me) They have a gigantic parking place, that is free to use, big plus point. And some nice shopping streets. It's at least worth a visit

Immerse yourself in the passionate world of Spanish flamenco at Sala Teatro Timanfaya. The theater provides a comfortable and clean setting, although some visitors recommend securing front-row seats for better views due to limited tiering.
Great place to enjoy Arts! The Flamenco was superb 👌 The Music, Percussion, and Dance are a deadly combo. So much energy and grace...

I watched the flamenco pasion show which was captivating and inspiring. The dancers are graceful and passionate. Very beautiful. There was also a history of Flamenco dancing introduced in the beginning of the show which was informative.

Great flamenco show with impressive dancers and beautiful costumes. First half feels more like a Broadway show with mixed dances and also elements of ballet. Second half is more emotional "real" flamenco with live musicians.

AVOID!! We went in casino first day (13.8.23) we arrived, partner was looking around and went to play on the roulette table, the old balded head man working tapped me on the shoulder 3 times & told me I wasn't allowed on my phone, asked me to show him my phone but I had nothing to show him as I wasn't doing anything on my phone. Gave me the death stare as I put my phone in my pocket. The man then told me to follow him back to the entrance and pointed at the smallest sign saying 'no phones' yet didn't bother saying anything when I walked in the door. Absolute joke! My partner went in a few days later as had some euros left, was allowed to walk in without anyone saying anything to him. Partner put the money in the machine & was then asked for ID as it wss after midnight. My partner explained to the man he allowed him to walk in, watch him put money in and then ask for ID whereas he should have asked for ID before allowing him to enter! He then told the man he was playing the €15 he'd put in and the machine said €75, said he'd won €395 and he was paid out €79. Doesn't make any sense... Just very rude workers in there, miserable & they pretend they can't talk English!

They didn't answer my phone calls, they didn't answer my several emails when I tried to ask about if they had any poker tournaments running. So I took 2 busses and waisted half a day just to travel at the casino just to find out that there is none. There is also a big sign outside the casino informing about poker. Yawn... There might be people here working but they simply don't care.

Staff ha went in did not have my vest on, now they could have said please but No two screaming and pointing, I then got my back up because my arm is in a sling. Vest on was about to walk out but sod it 10€ on machine dropped 205€ , they were gutted result walked out. Odd do not like seeing bare chest but let people lose money ? gambling dens across the globe. They pulled my review so I've had to edit it.had edit again see what's wrong now.

I come to play poker tournaments here once a week. There is a room with coin machines and another room with two roulette tables, one blackjack table and one poker table. There are no cash games at the Puerto Casino, just the tournaments twice a week (friday and saturday) 10 people, buy-in 35 euro with re-buys until first break.

Nestled along the stunning coastline, Batería de Santa Barbara is a historical gem that offers visitors a glimpse into the past while providing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This well-preserved defensive fortification, perched on cliffs, features ancient cannons and serves as a reminder of the town's rich history. As you explore this picturesque area, you'll be treated to panoramic vistas of both the bustling port and serene beaches.
We came upon this area walking along the coast around the city. It was very busy up with plenty of people admiring the cannons, the ocean views and walking along the battlements. The cannons were very ornate and well maintained. The rocky coastline was very beautiful and their were good views of the port. Their was steps but easily accessible with only a few in certain areas.
Sheila B — Google review
This old defence was built directly on the small cliffs to protect the town. It is in very good condition with some very old canons still in place. From here you get a nice view to the left to the port and amusement park and to the right of the town and beach and Rock pools. If you do a full 180 and look behind you can also see the top of the Teide Volcano. Definitely take a stroll down the promenade to this point and watch the Atlantic especially on a rough day

The Santa Barbara Battery is a defensive structure adjacent to the Casa de la Real Aduana in Plaza de Europa, opposite the town hall and Casa Miranda. It was ordered to be built to protect the Old Port from possible attacks by pirates and corsairs. The collection of cannons of the 18th and 19th centuries, handed over by the Ministry of Defense in 1992, in memory of those that once existed (there were four, two iron and two bronze, with the coats of arms of Portugal and Holland, since they arrived from a Dutch ship) stands apart.Built in the 18th century from a semi-circular pier with stairs, where the Santa Barbara Battery was built years later to protect boats arriving in port.

The Archaeological Museum of Puerto de la Cruz showcases a collection of aboriginal Guanche ceramics and offers insight into the lifestyle of the Guanches, the original inhabitants of Tenerife. The museum features recreations of cave dwellings, displays ceramics used for various purposes, and includes a reconstitution of a Guanche burial cave where mummification was practiced.
Great museum. Can't wait to go back when other rooms opened. Set in beautiful building which is worth seeing itself
Moo K — Google review
We called in today and entry was free as they are doing renovations and their is not much to see. Their was a replica mummy of an original habitant who were buried in caves. Their were information boards about their diet and life style in spanish. We were given information cards in English and it was quite interesting. They had a few pots and storage equipment that they used to store food. They had toilets you could use and some benches to rest on inside and in the little garden at the front. It would be worth coming back when the museum is fully open.
Sheila B — Google review
It is free but unfortunately they do renovations so I saw only the small yard
Faihaa N — Google review
A disappointing place :-(. There were only two rooms open, out of many that could have been, there were very few artefacts and even those were reproductions. There was what seemed like an interesting few well illustrated panels of information about the history of the original inhabitants, but all in Spanish (fair enough - we are in Spain!!) but it could easily have been in a book, with no point in visiting the place. We were given three very wordy A4 sheets of info in English (well done for this) but they only vaguely related to the illustrated panels. Again they could easily have been online or in a book, with no real reason to visit. It’s a lovely period building.
Peter W — Google review
Turned up today to find that the museum is closed and nothing is available to view. On talking to the proprietor at the Museum he informed me that the establishment is under renovations. The estimated time to completion is within the next 2 - 4 months....I would therefore recommend not visiting until at least end of Q1 2019

Playa Jardín, or Garden Beach, is a lively city beach known for its black sand and vibrant atmosphere. The beach complex was designed by Canarian artist Cesar Manrique and features three sections of black sand beaches: Castillo, Charcon, and Punta Brava. The area is adorned with endemic plants, stone walls, and cascades, creating a pleasant botanical garden feel.
Amazing beach, black volcanic sand

Decided to try here for snorkeling, we found where the sand was with no rocks but as soon as we got into the water there were rocks everywhere causing a few bashed ankles. However once passed the waves which were enormous the water was calm enough to snorkel but the water was so cloudy and dark you couldn't see anything! Beach was nice enough really hot black sand. Needs more showers and maybe a little privacy area for parents who think it's okay to let their children shower naked whilst others are waiting to shower!

Easy black sand beach , a Clean beach with great scenic views. Red flag days the beach is marked with Plastic Red tape. Deterring from the beauty of the beach. Maybe a nautical rope would be more aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful walk that leads to 3 other beaches and a quaint cafe that closes up around 3pm. A lovely sunset walk and lounging till sunset:)

La Cofradía de Pescadores is a charming eatery that perfectly captures the essence of coastal dining. With its inviting terrace offering stunning sea views, this venue specializes in an array of seafood dishes, including fresh catches delivered straight from the nearby port. Diners can indulge in mouthwatering paella and delectable desserts, all crafted with ingredients that celebrate the ocean's bounty.
My best mate and I ordered seafood paella and it was mouth-watering and very delicious. The baby squid appetiser was soft and not gummy, really tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only downside is, service was a little slow but only because we did not book a table (it wasn't that super busy tho when we came).
Erik V — Google review
Disappointed visit after our hotel recommended this place. The food didn’t taste great and wasn’t worth the money at all. Their prices must be based on the fact that they get fresh fish but no taste. Servers were also hard to get hold of. We got fried squid which was nice. Paella had shrimp with feces which took forever to clean and mussels and you pay PER person about €40 for two people and it’s big portion and useless. The garlic oil spread with fresh bread was best part tbh. Would not recommend!
Sara I — Google review
Great food and location. The grilled cheese and paella were excellent. Sea view since it’s on a terrace. Service was a bit slow, but was expected since it was pretty packed during lunch time.
Nicholas F — Google review
I chose this restaurant based on the good reviews, but unfortunately my experience didn’t meet expectations. The dishes are not served as in typical Spanish restaurants, where you usually receive a side dish or some garnish — and this is not mentioned anywhere on the menu. I wouldn’t have minded ordering a side dish separately, but there were no options listed in the menu and the waiter didn’t mention any alternatives. I ordered the octopus and it came completely plain — just boiled octopus on a plate, without any side dish or salad. The service also felt unfriendly and not very helpful. Overall, I’ve had much better dining experiences in restaurants with fewer or similar reviews.

A lovely place with great food and warm, friendly servers who really could not do enough for us. There is inside and outside seating. We enjoyed a very large starter of mixed cheeses and meats accompanied with a selection of breads. Ristorante Mamma Rosa is the top choice if you're craving Italian food. The pizzas are large and flavorful. The lasagna was incredibly juicy. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside, and there are also tables available outside. The staff is friendly. Highly recommended!

Ristorante Mamna Rosa is an absolute diamond of a restaurant. Located at a crossroads of alleys in Puerto de la Cruz, the building is apparently the first built in the town. Service is fantastic, without being pushy. The food is beautiful, very well cooked and seasoned. We had the antipasto to start, the salmon and the steak with Gorgonzola for mains and a cannolo alongside coffee to finish. Three glasses of wine and two bottles of San Pellegrino - the bill came in at 88 euro. What fantastic value. A busker playing laid back tunes on a guitar just added to the ambience. You must visit if you are in the area. Thank you to all the staff and the chef at Ristorante Mamma Rosa.
Gary F — Google review
The menu is rather limited but offers the full range of pizza, pasta, meat but lacks real quality vegetarian options. I found the pizza sauce lacking depth, maybe a bit quick in the prep, but my daughter praised it as fresh and fruity, so it is a matter of taste. We also had the black pasta with frutti di mare which was okay. The waiter definitely did his best to entertain us. The rosé wine was not the best, too sweet for our taste.

A beautiful place to eat We came twice when visited Puerto De La Cruz and we was recommended by the gentleman who ran the Robin Hood bar. We ordered the lasagne first time with pizza and second time lasagne and spaghetti bolognaise. Very beautiful and well cooked. I hope this business does VERY well in the future. Henry the server was lovely. Even with a little language barrier nothing like translation to make him feel more at ease.
Jessica B — Google review
The pizza was okay, the consistency a bit too dry though and the topping could be a bit more juicy. The rucola leaves cost extra on the four cheese pizza as not in the menu card included. The red housewine was okay, not too strong but served cold. The waitress was friendly. The waterfountain inside the building makes a great atmosphere. Pizza-knives didn't cut very well...

While some visitors find the food quality to be average, others enjoy the reasonable prices for both food and drinks.
We liked it, went twice on vacation! They make happy meal with 6 nuggets (because 4 is not enough for 8yo) and (lots of) caramel macchiato! Clean. Fast.

Unfortunately, my order got mixed up with someone else's, and I only realized it once I arrived back at my apartment. Instead of the burger, Coke, and special fries I ordered, I ended up with a six-pack of chicken nuggets, regular fries, and a gazpacho in my bag. I understand that these kinds of mistakes can happen, especially during busy times, but it was disappointing—particularly since I don’t eat chicken, and I didn't want to walk all the way back to the restaurant to get my correct order. The place itself seemed clean and well-kept, although understandably busy, which is to be expected at a popular tourist spot. I’m sure the experience would have been great if my order had been right, so it just felt a bit unlucky on my part.

What an absolutely brilliant Maccies experience in Spain! This place was just superb. The service was fast and efficient, making ordering incredibly easy—even for a tourist. The food was hot, fresh, and genuinely delicious. The staff were amazing and so helpful, which made the whole process seamless. Situated in a fantastic spot (location-wise), it was the perfect pit stop. Five stars, couldn't fault it! Proper 5/5 quality. Thank you , McDonalds!

The food was not really fresh. Would not recommend. Fries looked and tasted like they were fried a week ago.

Would give 0 if possible, if you are visiting the area please just go somewhere else. Visited twice, first time very long wait for food which turned out to be cold with poor service. Second time - Waited at the counter to pay for 10 mins after the self serve machine told me to pay there (card machines on the self serves don't work), 2 people pushed in front of me at the counter and paid for their food first, when I got to the counter the woman behind the till looked at me and then walked off. Waited another 10 mins and then a man came out to take payment as I gave him my ticket someone else pushed me out the way and put their receipt down, the man behind the desk witnessed this and still served the other person before me. At this point I had enough and walked off to meet my friend by the collect counter, another 10 mins later the guy comes back out and says ready to take payment now, I told him don't bother. Honestly so rude and clearly don't have the time of day for customers.

Would give a minus 10 if possible. Spent 40 quid on food just to receive some fries. When I called them up they basically called me a liar. Absolutely disgusting service and would rather stab my own eyes out than ever order from such a disgraceful establishment ever again. If I was you I wouldn't even wish this place on my worst enemy. Hope the place gets shut down.

The bathrooms were disgusting, no soap and everything was filthy in there. Nonexistent service, so that's irrelevant. The burgers had already fallen apart inside the box, despite the fact that we were eating in the place. The fries were stale. They forgot our sauce. The McFlurries were partly melted when we recieved them and weren't even that good. The self service thing has no space for more than like three people, one per machine. (Which had two sides btw, but there's no space for two people) I'm not coming here again. Massive dissapointment. Upsettingly filthy bathrooms with no soap :(

Yesterday (9th August 2025) somebody stole our Osmo Video Camera there with all our photos and videos - we lost all of them!!!!! It’s not a safe place!!!!! If anybody found the camera or the card with the photos & videos, we guarantee a reward!!!!! We reported the theft to the police!

Tapas restaurant
Arcón Tapas is a popular restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz, known for serving authentic Canarian cuisine. Located near Plaza del Charco and the historic city center, it's a convenient dining spot after a day of exploring. The menu features a variety of traditional dishes, with their renowned potatoes with mojo being a must-try. Visitors praise the delicious food and clean facilities, making it an ideal choice for those seeking local culinary experiences.
Best Canarian potatoes we have had! This restaurant is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful square. The owners are friendly and quite rightly they are proud of their special, which is the Canarian potatoes, something you see in every restaurant here but none have sauces that come even close to the one's served here. The rest of the menu is great quality and very reasonable prices. 👌

What an amazing place! We are so glad we went to Arcón Tapas. The sauces for the papas arrugadas are the best we've ever had. The chilli oil addition was outstanding. We love chilli oil and, again, this was some of the best we've had. We also had the rabbit which was lush. Arcón Tapas is home cooked food of great quality. Everyone working there was nice and the skill that went into flavouring the dishes was immense. If you get the chance, go to this excellent place.

My very first Canarian potatoes with Mojo Verde on Tenerife – served with grilled calamari – and I was absolutely thrilled! Everything was delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The staff were super friendly, and the chef even mixed the sauce himself – offering a spicy version if you wanted it! The combination of traditional flavors, the relaxed atmosphere, and the warm, welcoming service made this a truly special experience. I’ll definitely be coming back! 😊

A hidden gem, we eat here 3 times during our vacation for good reason, extremely good Papas and in general very good tapas. And very friendly staff. Food was so good i forgot to take pictures...🙃

The food was simply amazing! We came with the idea of just having a drink and one tapa. We ordered calamares and they were so absolutely delicious that we needed to try more. We took beef stew and papas arrugadas - also great. You can tell the owner / chef really care about the quality of food they serve and they put their heart into it.

Original, classic taste, different than in the modern restaurants. Here you can feel real vibe of canarian food!
