Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Marmore Falls, also known as Cascata dell Marmore, is a remarkable ancient sight consisting of three sections and standing as the tallest man-made waterfall in the world at an impressive 165 meters. Built by the Romans in 271 BC, it was created by diverting the waters of the Velino River to drain the marshy basin of Rieti. This engineering marvel provided arable land for legionnaires after their service.
Very nice experience, with different routes available and different levels of difficulty so anyone can enjoy a good view of the falls.
Mano M — Google review
Cascata delle Marmore is a breathtaking mix of natural power and Roman engineering. The roaring falls, scenic trails, and magical mist make it unforgettable. A must-see for nature lovers and travelers alike
Jan S — Google review
exceptional experience that deserves a bit of outside advertising, we got to know about it from a local friends. easy to get to, spectacular views and a bit of a workout to return :-) the butterfly house worth seeing, too!
Tom C — Google review
So beautiful!! Unfortunately we came a bit late, at 15:30, 30 minutes before the falls are shut down for the day. It’s nice to stroll through the park regardless. But the park was closed entirely by 17:00, so I would advise to plan the visit time better than we did.
Sheli A — Google review
It is just beautiful,. We set parking for 1.5h , but we sure did needed more. Got to the first 3 spots there, all the way down. Luckily we packed some snacks and fruits 😋 bc there is a lovely view point right in front of the waterfall.
Gilad Y — Google review
We arrived half an hour before the water flow was reduced substantially. I would recommend going about it the opposite way. The timetable for on and off periods is difficult to find online. 12€ per adult
Emilie O — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking and worth the trip. There are paths that make it fairly easy to walk up to view the various falls (you will get wet!). The temperature drops ten degrees when you reach the parking lot, which is an incredible treat in summer. Be sure to stay to see the falls turn off at 1pm or back on again at 3. Plenty of parking. The bus terminal is a little tricky to find in Terni. It’s not the main Terni station but is around the corner to the left after you walk out the front entrance of the station. There’s a dedicated shuttle just for the falls, but pay attention to times, or you’ll end up needing a taxi to get back to Terni (speaking from experience!).

Pretty impressive place it is better to come on the schedule and to climb up to see all the place it is like a small iguasu

Cultural center
CAOS Centro per le Arti Opificio Siri is a contemporary art museum located in the converted ex-SIRI chemical factory in Terni. The museum hosts the Terni Festival, showcasing works and artists of contemporary art throughout the city. In February, it also holds events dedicated to St. Valentine, including the St. Valentine Fair with market stalls and activities around the basilica. The museum features modern art, archaeological finds, religious art, and changing exhibitions.
There are very interesting exhibitions at the CAOS, and then, if after visiting the exhibition you want to eat something there is the b-side café in which you can eat spécial dishes or tasty hamburgers.

The restaurant takes pride in using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients to prepare their meals. Visitors highly recommend it for meat lovers, praising the amazing Fiorentina and vitellone dishes, as well as the delectable pasta options.
Definitely recommend for any meat lover. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the food.

Giancarlo R — Google review
Ended up leaving mid meal. 1.15min to get a starter that had 2 pieces of salami, some prosciutto and 1 piece of cheese which serves 1 person not 2, gnocchi arrived smelling like egg and no sauce, meat overcooked. Service took forever and food was terrible. Won't go again
K C — Google review
High quality grilled meat. The "scottadito" (burn your finger) lamb was excellent and others at the table said the same for the mixed grill. Good big portions. Staff were very accommodating, even after we had them waiting around and were the last to leave. Nice and cosy, family atmosphere.
Anastasia C — Google review
Ambience of the restaurant was very nice and the service was great. The pasta was pleasant but nothing spectacular. If sitting outside, be mindful of mosquitoes in summer (although the staff lit citronella in an attempt to ward them off).

(Translated by Google) A good place. Staff friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. The dishes served were good but if you bring focaccia you have to calculate at least 2 pieces per diner and not one, someone was left without it. Furthermore, if typical Campania desserts are offered, they cannot finish before having given all the tables the opportunity to taste them. The menu of the day is good, good value for money. (Original) Un buon locale.

(Translated by Google) I took the fish menu and was really satisfied. The cold appetizer was perfect, perhaps too much salad. The hot appetizer was the mussels, as good as I've ever eaten them. The first course was very good, the portion wasn't what I'm used to, but it was just right. The frying was sensational, crunchy and cooked just right and above all not soaked in oil. Kind owners and polite waitress. In short, everything was perfect. My partner had the fried food and the pizza and I saw that she was satisfied too. Neapolitan pizza. Pizza napoletana. Da provare

Oste Della Mal'Ora is a charming and captivating trattoria located in the heart of the city. With a cozy and convivial atmosphere, it has been a popular spot for decades, offering a selection of regional, national, and international wines to accompany its delicious dishes. The restaurant takes pride in using local ingredients, particularly highlighting excellent cold cuts and cheeses among its starters. Managed by Christian Rosignoli, it continues to preserve its legacy while providing an exceptional dining experience.
A tiny place (reserve) that was recommended to us by our host. Glad we went. Christian gave us a top notch service and he sure knows his wines. The kitchen team excelled as well, according to our palates. Not quite the typical Ombrian menu but rather a created twist to it.

The service is exceptional, they don't make you miss anything and at the same time it doesn't even feel like you are there both for the ease with which they leave your intimacy to you. The environment is so particular that it seems to catapult you into a place from another era, where every evening becomes a story. The deli La cascata dei sapori is an outstanding establishment that offers a remarkable experience. The cuisine is superb, with delectable dishes that are simply irresistible. Its location is enchanting, surrounded by picturesque scenery that adds to the overall appeal. The service provided is exceptional, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable visit for all patrons. One highly recommended beverage choice is the Aperol Spritz, which comes highly praised.
I have travel from Aosta through Tuscany, Rome and now on my way to Assisi, and maybe here have one of the best Porchetta I have tasted. Friendly and kind service. A unexpected but very welcomed surprise.
Stalfgarion B — Google review
After waiting half an hour, we were seved with stale, unsavory paninis. Add to this the post-stomachache and you get the recipe for a terrible tourist trap as this. To avoid, even at the cost of staying hungry.
Gicu B — Google review
After reading the reviews we decided to have dinner here. Total disappointment!!!!!!!. The cutlery was poorly washed. They replaced it for us. Salad and bread were brought in plastic cups and they brought disposable plates like for street food. An unpleasant surprise was a hair in a plate with salad (the hair was dark, and the three of us have light hair, so it was not from our heads). The main dishes ravioli were in a tomato sauce made from tomato concentrate of not very good quality and a huge amount of oil. Pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffles was also disappointing. The pasta was not al dente, and the mushroom sauce was also from a nearby supermarket (not high quality), and the price was like for fresh truffles. In addition, there was a huge amount of oil in the dish. We could not eat it despite being hungry. Of my travels in Italy, this was the worst dinner. The staff tried to apologize, but it was not their fault. I do not recommend!!!!!

Very poor quality of food and high prices . Do not recommend. Bad, bad, bad... 10 Euros for food on plate. Real price for that would be 2 euros max.
Ieva L — Google review
Tourist trap. We had asked for simple sandwiches, after more than half an hour of waiting they say they've finished them, proposing to replace them with a pizza (at a higher price). After another quarter, they had finished them, we had to settle for two slices of bread, unchewable. The content was also another than what ordered. Outcome: big waste of time, more expensive bill (+1,50). They had run out of receipts too!! so they can get away with the police. Just stay away!

We decided to make a Corot pilgrimage to Papigno. It did not disappoint. The only restaurant we found open for lunch on Sunday in town was this Sicilian seafood restaurant. How lucky!! The mussels were some of the best I’ve had lately, the orata was perfectly cooked and a good cassata. We also had some great local white wine as well. Nice staff. A perfect meal for a perfect day. Will definitely go back.

Amazing place, perfect for a relaxing lunch/dinner. Fish as good as the one you can find in Sicily (where the owners come from) which is quite surprising given that Umbria has no access to the sea! If you are around to visit the hills of Umbria or simply after a nice stroll around the Marmore falls, this is the place to be. I would recommend the ‘antipasto misto’ which is made of 5 cold and 5 hot started. Bravi!
Lorenzo B — Google review
Lovely place to eat. Extremly nice and rich portion of meat. Chocolate cake missing a bit of a sugar but I guess that's just me and my sugar addiction xD Lovely and nice staff! Notthing else to add.
Tony F — Google review
If you are looking for a fish restaurant in Umbria because you are tired of lentils, charcuterie and meat, keep looking? Thia place States on their website that all their fish is fresh. Then you look at the menu and you notice they have an asterisk next to almost each item stating it could of been previously frozen, doesn't sound very fresh to me and didn't taste like it either. The place always has a decent crowd but it's mostly locals who have no other choice. I would avoid at all costs as the quality is just not there and there are plenty of other options around the area highlighting the food of Umbria. After all, isn't that one of the reasons for coming to Umbria in the first place?
Bryce D — Google review
