Lacock Abbey, originally a nunnery dating back to the 13th century, has a rich history that includes being converted into a family home and later becoming the residence of William Henry Fox Talbot. The abbey is renowned as the birthplace of modern photography, where Fox Talbot captured the world's first photographic negative. Visitors are drawn to its unique features and picturesque setting in Lacock Village, with its historic streets and woodland grounds.
charming and atmospheric site rich in history and beauty. Lacock Abbey blends medieval architecture with peaceful gardens, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing visit. The cloisters are especially stunning and may look familiar to Harry Potter fans. A delightful stop for history lovers and photographers alike.

Great place to visit with the usual high standard from the National Trust. Cafe serves good quality food. Plenty of benches around the generous gardens and a children's playground. Very good museum all about the history of photography.
Ali B — Google review
Friendly and welcoming staff and a picturesque place to visit, perfect for a photoshoot (it was lovely to see so many families taking photos and enjoying themselves) and although I didn’t have time to explore the entire area, the abbey was beautiful. Will be back soon to discover the museum and enjoy the autumnal colours. Terrain is somewhat difficult to traverse as a wheelchair user in terms of suspension and gravel, but it is possible.

Good car parking. £5.00 for non National Trust members. A beautiful Abbey with amazing grounds. There is a National Trust cafe before the property and inside the property. Enthusiastic National trust Staff with willingness to share their lnowldge. information. Part of the Harry Potter films.
Nicholas S — Google review
A beautiful National Trust location. The surrounding village is absolutely charming, with classic English atmosphere. There are also three wonderful pubs nearby — perfect for lunch or a relaxing drink after exploring the abbey.
Andrey A — Google review
Lovely place to visit, stunning house & grounds. Beautiful village to walk around but we found the pub food prices quite pricey. 4 min drive up the road is Whitehall Garden centre with a lovely reasonable restaurant or tea room.
Wendi S — Google review
We visited Lacock without knowing anything of it's history, or indeed anything about it at all beforehand. Both the Abbey and the village are lovely. It's difficult though to get beyond the obvious and predictable 'Harry Potter' hype that the village attracts, and whilst it is is a very pretty village, the volume of cars did affect my view of the place. The Abbey though was a different kettle of fish. The place oozed centuries of history and the cloisters were beautiful. The house has seen many changes over the years; to some extent a victim of the vanity of owners through the centuries as tastes, fashions, and styles, have changed. And with each generation of change, so the house has been altered. The National Trust has obviously focussed on the work of William Henry Fox Talbot, photographic development pioneer and polymath who ived in the house for a period of time in the 19th century. But his life is just a small part of the history of the place which begins it's story in the 13th Century, 600 years before William Henry Talbot. Its a glorious place, well worth a visit with knowledgeable guides in the house and hospitable staff in the cosy café. We didn't have time to visit the gardens but this will definitely be on the itinerary for our next visit here.
Gerard — Google review
Beautiful village and area, the Abbey entry fee is expensive if you aren't a member so bear this in mind. Check time slots when you can do the in house tour aswell. Lots of history and knowledgeable staff. Harry Potter fan or not its worth a day out.

History Museums
The Brontë Parsonage Museum, located in Haworth, is the former family home of the famous literary sisters Charlotte, Anne, and Emily Brontë. The museum showcases a wealth of personal items, manuscripts, and letters belonging to the Brontë family. Visitors can explore the humble residence where the sisters penned their classic novels such as 'Jane Eyre' and 'Wuthering Heights.' The museum offers an immersive experience with original bedrooms and studies to wander through.
Step through the door of the Brontë Parsonage Museum and you step back theough history. You don't have to be a fan of the Brontë Sisters to appreciate this excellent museum which is packed with furniture and items belonging to the Brontë family in a faithful recreation of their home. After a short wait in the pleasant surroundings of the garden we were ushered in and allowed to take in the surroundings at our own pace, taking in as little or as much as we chose through information boards, our own guidebook and a series of QR codes which add to the experience. After visiting the main rooms we spent some time in the exhibition that was full of interesting information and more artifacts before descending to the shop. The shop is full of great gifts and souvenirs and if you purchase books the staff will stamp them to show that they were purchased at the museum. Parking is conveniently located a few metres away from the museum at £1.50 an hour payable by cash, card or via the RingGo app but if that car park is full there is another pay and display car park nearby. The toilet facilities at the museum are impressive, very clean and well-maintained. There were a lot of staff on-site who were all very friendly and happy to talk and answer questions. As we visited in the middle of August the museum was busy and as space is at a premium it wasn't always the most comfortable of experiences but when we were returning to the car later on there wasn't even a queue so there are probably quieter times to visit! This museum is a must-see if you are in the area. In addition, the church that houses the Brontë crypt is the other side of the garden wall and the village itself is very picturesque.

Very interesting in that is covers the entire Bronte family. Much more interesting than just their books. Enjoyed this much more than I expected. An added bonus is the cute town within which they lived
Stephen G — Google review
Wonderful museum. I'd wanted to visit for years and finally did recently. Spotting the parsonage from the exit/ back entrance of the church was such a magical moment. I really recommend getting your first glimpse there. The environs were so beautiful, what an appropriately magical atmosphere. The parsonage was delightful. Highlights were the piano, Anne's bloodied handkerchief, Branwell's painting of Emily, Charlotte's hair and dress, Maria's inscribed comb, and Patrick's glasses. I also loved seeing the apostle cupboard referenced in Jane Eyre. I'd been a fan for years but was unaware that their poor, elder sisters had been so close in age to them. That was really thought-provoking. I bought lots of things from the gift shop - my favourite of which were simple copies of a drawing of and by Anne, my favourite Brontë. The moors were to die for. Spectacular trip.

Wonderful visit to Howarth, Yorkshire, good scenery, fresh air, exercise and if you love the Brontë sisters like me, it's just a great reasonably priced day trip out from Manchester. Thought the bars , shops, goods, merchandising were interesting, some quirky, a few unique, but others, which were often the same but just in different shops , were a little over priced imo. And really only one reasonably affordable eatery, which i enjoyed a scone tea immensely

The Bronte's home ( The Parsonage ),a dedicated museum to the Bronte family. Interesting and in depth look into their life and times . Situated over two floors, with a shop and toilets at the rear. £13 standard adult entrance fee. Can get very busy on weekends and Bank Holidays.
Graeme W — Google review
I'm not a huge Brontë fan, I know their story and have read several of their novels and obviously seen a lot of adaptations and biopics, but I must admit to being a little disappointed by this museum. The best thing is knowing you're standing where they once stood, but a lot of the items are made up of recreations and copies of things that are held elsewhere or in private collections. The recreation of Branwell's study, overseen by Simon Armitage, is somewhat comical in its drunken-yet-brilliant-mind excess, and it always strikes me as odd how much is devoted to his lost genius, when there's literally three women who achieved right there, against the odds. At best, you can do the full tour of the house in under an hour, less if it's not busy (the rooms are small and the cordons only give you a finite space, so if there's more than two people in there, you have to wait your turn). The tour is self guided but staff are on hand should you have any queries. Have to say, on my visit some of the staff looked far from energised; their aura often seemed to be one of boredom and a desire to be elsewhere/invisible (to be fair it was around 2pm so lunch breaks may have been imminent) so there was a feeling of "please don't ask me anything". They may have also been annoyed at the two unruly children one party had, the adults of whom were doing nothing to control them. You are allowed to take photographs, but no flash if your wielding anything other than your phone. The last room explores the legacy of the sisters on film, but it's pretty basic, amounting to some film scripts and the odd photo. A more interactive experience, showing numerous clips from adaptations, perhaps with the original scenes from the novel accompanying in comparison, would be more interesting and likely to fire the imagination. The gift shop is well stocked, but you'll probably find similar in several shops on the main street, perhaps at a slightly lower price (though admittedly still inflated in comparison to other non touristy outlets; I was surprised to see pin badges going for £10 in one shop when similar would be £5 elsewhere). Toilets were clean, but the writing on the locks as small as that of the Brontës, making it difficult to know whether they're engaged. The grounds are lovely, overlooking the church and local allotments. Haworth is a lovely spot. Obviously if you are a Brontë obsessive, this is somewhere you have to visit, but for everyone else maybe not. That said, if you are in picturesque Haworth, it would be a shame not to visit. Price of admission is 13 pounds which may seem steep for such a middling experience, but it does give you access for twelve months. Then again, if you found it middling once, you probably wouldn't want to return
Mark C — Google review
Brontë Parsonage Museum is well worth visiting if you are a fan of the famous novels from this family, or want to understand life in this area during the early to mid 1800s. Timed entry to minimize overcrowding in the small space of this house. The museum presents a close replication of the original kitchen, bedrooms, dining room, etc. Some items are original (e.g., Charlotte’s paintbox and spectacles). Each room has information about typical life in that space, including storylines about what the Bronte family members might have said and done on a typical day there. The last part of the exhibition shows information and artifacts from films and plays about the Brontës. I think more could be done to depict the life of this family, in particular, events and writing leading up to publication of the famous novels. Many relevant items are together in the latter part of the house (likely due to limited space elsewhere), but it seems clumped together rather than displayed in a way that systematically explains how the novels were conceived and came to fruition. My deepest impression is the difficult lives and poor health that challenged the Brontë sisters (and brother), which likely reflects how others in the community also endured in that era. The appeal of the Bronte parsonage is amplified by its picturesque location in the village of Haworth, which is a destination on its own. The graveyard beyond the Bronte home is also worth a look, although the Brontë family except Anne are buried under the church. Visited in late May 2025.

Beautifully curated and narrated exhibition. Really takes the visitor back in time. A fitting tribute to the Bronte family and their literary genius. The gardens are also absolutely beautiful. An excellent tribute to part of Yorkshire heritage. Thank you

Nestled at the summit of Haworth Hill, The Kings Arms is a charming pub steeped in history, dating back to the 17th century. This cozy establishment offers a warm atmosphere where patrons can enjoy meals in both the bar area and bistro, with options for vegetarians and even special doggy dinners. While parking isn't available on-site, visitors can find public car parks nearby—just be prepared for a bit of a walk!
Warm welcome, nice ambiance, nice prices (£12 for pie, £14-16 for burgers) and fresh tasty food! Couldn't ask for more.

Visited today (25/10/25) with my wife after a lovely walk around the shops. We spotted The Kings Arms and decided to give it a try. On arrival, we were greeted by a very polite gentleman who served us. The atmosphere was brilliant, warm, cosy, and welcoming. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes and it was absolutely delicious. My wife also really enjoyed her meal. Overall, a very positive experience! We’d definitely love to come back next time we might even stay overnight and enjoy a few beers.

I rated service 1 star because I waited 54 minutes for my food, they said that it was busy, it wasn't very busy at all! I rated food 2 stars because the burger buns were burnt and there were no onion rings, which I it said it came with on the menu. And I rated atmosphere 4 stars because they were playing good songs.

The barman was very kind. We liked the Brontë themed ales. There is a nice outdoor patio. Plenty of space for the pram and daughter to muck about

This was a fantastic pub to go drinking at, with a vintage design that also adds decorations! The counter is well-presented, staff were friendly in allowing me and my family to try a beer before purchase. I got a pint from the tap and drank it outside, sitting in a relaxing environment during the heat!

Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (Haworth Station) is a well-preserved railway station and train line that offers a museum and rides on vintage steam locomotives. The 5-mile heritage steam and diesel train ride provides spectacular views across Bronte Country, made famous by the 1970s film, The Railway Children.
Just had the traditional afternoon tea experience. Absolutely blown away. Fantastic food, excellent service, in short a really brilliant day, when I felt I got full value for my money. There is a nice selection of sandwiches, meringues/ macaroons and a large scones with cream and jam. Also included in the price is an all day rover ticket. A very enjoyable day and highly recommended.

Steam train on a regular line. A spectacular day out. It’s a regular line and engine, now maintained by a volunteer organisation. There are both steam and diesel engines. The carriage has a great bar with local beers. The shops at the station have interesting gifts. People are super friendly.

Small, but perfectly formed line, with immaculately preserved stations. Staff very personable, great carriage stock, and excellent value for money, with a great addition of the museum, adding to the all round experience. Fantastic to be on the iconic platform, as featured in the Railway Children, and of course, the quaint smallest station in Britain. My son is a railway enthusiast, and adored it. Highly recommended

Really enjoyable train ride. Good views. Travelled in a carriage that didn't have a bar, however when stopping at Keighley and Oxenhope, there's enough time to get off and grab a drink. Great for kids too. Some carriages are accessible for prams. Would advise getting on earlier, we got off in the evening and it was getting busy

I myself recently re-visited the historically renowned keighley & worth valley railway on saturday 8th of November 2025 (with my P.A. accompanying me), we travelled by train from morley/leeds all the way up to keighley... went up the steps and across back in time once again as we descended onto platforms 3 & 4 for the heritage train bound for oxenhope, Throughout my latest revisit to west yorkshire's branch line heritage railway, We checked out the successfully uniquely restored old water tower/column on platform 4 - which I consider a splendid site to behold - whilst we waited for the oxenhope-bound passenger train, which was hauled by that brilliantly uplifting ex-LMS stanier black five tender locomotive number 44932 that gave us (and the rest of the other passengers) an enjoyable train journeying up the valley of the river behind the KWVR's very name (as well as it's nature), It was great revisiting all the stations along the line, especially Ingrow (west), Damems, Oakworth, Haworth, and of course the outstanding Oxenhope - from where we watched the brilliantly steaming balck five run-round it's train bound for the return journey back down to keighley, I also took plenty of photos, well, quite a lot... along the line, especially safely from carriage window, for whom I do hope the KWVR itself really likes them, as I hear by share some as part of my latest review on west yorkshire's branch line heritage railway. Hope to come back & revisit the KWVR someday.

Booked the Haworth Haddock and had a fabulous time. Steam train from Oxenhope to Keighley, fish & chips, on board bar and the brilliant Night Patrol played on the platform. You can pick your tickets up early which allows you to travel the line during the day. Staff are lovely, they all work hard to make sure you have a good night. Fabulous to see such enthusiasm. Well worth a visit but if you get the chance for one of their themed events definitely book it!

Had a very pleasant stroll in this hilly park with its well kept lawns, pretty flowerbeds and wooded paths. It's located at the bottom of the steep cobbled street leading up to the Bronte Parsonage Museum. There's a bandstand, children's playground, bowling green and peaceful little memory garden. Some beautiful views of the surrounding hills and dales. There are public toilets, and an ice-cream vendor near the entrance. A nice quiet place to relax or enjoy a picnic away from the bustle of the main tourist attractions.

What a stunning area! Lovely play park for all ages! We visited here as a big group, children aged between 3-17. Loved the swinging bars and slides. The children had space to play football and so much room if you fancied a picnic. There are public toilets , we didn't use them but they looked fine. Dogs are welcome, but they have to stay on the lead. Worth a visit.

Very nice views but I must say one of this park's most noted feature , which was 90% why me and my wife traveled over 2 hours to visit, was the Globe sculpture by Craig Dyson ( a local artist to Keighley) I was very disappointed to find it wasn't there anymore , and even worse nothing bothered online or otherwise as to what happened to it. Eg: moved to new location or taken away permanently. For me this cut the visit short.

Beautiful, well tended, lovely flowers in bloom all through spring and summer. Gentle winding paths to meander along and a central hub of benches with a bandstand to sit and relax. Caters to everyone with its memory garden, children’s play area, bowling green and substantial size for dog walking. Does also have some public toilets although the opening hours vary.

Bronte Waterfall is a charming natural attraction located in Haworth, known for its picturesque setting and varying water flow based on weather conditions. Visitors can access the waterfall via the Bronte Waterfall Walk, a moderately easy 3-mile trek from the village center. The walk offers scenic views and encounters with local wildlife, making it an ideal experience for nature enthusiasts. While parking options are available, it's recommended to plan ahead due to potential congestion during weekends.
My walk to the waterfall took about an hour. I walked slowly, trying to capture every beautiful corner with my camera. I was lucky with the warm and sunny weather — everything felt alive with summer. On the way, I was greeted by sheep, and photographing them was a joy of its own. If you’re looking for a place for a photoshoot, go to the waterfall — you’ll definitely take unforgettable shots. And if you simply want to escape the hustle and bustle, this is also the perfect spot to recharge.

Lovely walk up there from Haworth via the reservoir. It had been dry so probably not as fast flowing as normal.

Beautiful relatively easy walk. 2 1/2 miles from Haworth or skip a mile and park at beginning of the track. There is also a bus stop close by! Wear good waterproof shoes. Wet, muddy and slippy in spots! Beautiful walk that can be extended to Top Withens. You won’t regret going but watch out for the midges…they are me alive!!

Wonderful walk in the Haworth Moor, full of sheeps and goats on the way :) Brontë Waterfall is a must-go for anyone who comes to Haworth to visit places connected to the Brontë sisters/family. It's easy to portray the sisters enjoying the waterfall and its surroundings on a sunny day in the 19th Century. Really beautiful and poetic!

Be prepared to walk on very rough and steep at times, paths, though I wouldn't describe them as a waterfall, it is very popular beauty spot, we had our packed lunch here after walking from Haworth and then returning to Haworth via another route.

Beautiful walk, took about 50 mins from the carpark but that was with 3 small kids! We took a pram and was fine until the last 10 minutes, where we dumped it and put little one in a carrier. Not a massive waterfall, but very picturesque.

Natural History Museums
Cliffe Castle, part of Bradford District Museums and Galleries, was constructed in the 1880s as the residence of Henry Isaac Butterfield, a wealthy Victorian textile magnate. The opulent house showcased international art and French decor and hosted lavish social gatherings. The museum now features furnished rooms, costumes, fossils, and domestic artifacts from that era. Some displays reflect the Butterfield family's connections to prominent figures like the Roosevelts of America and members of Napoleon III's court.
A very good place for a educational family day out. The grounds of the castle are enormous, with a bird sanctuary, lovely cafe and acres of beautiful green space. The architecture of the building itself was very impressive, with ceilings in the ballroom and withdrawing room that are works of art in themselves. There is a treasure trove of paintings and artefacts from Japan, China and Egypt. There are also educational interactive collections on geology, industrial history, planets and space and weapons of this time.

What a revelation. A grand building full of interesting objects, art, furniture, historic tools used in local industries, all displayed in an easy to understand manor. Rarely have I been so impressed by an impromptu visit. A must see venue if you're in the area. It doesn't end there... walk a little further and enjoy the splendour of the conservatory and adjoining tropical plant house for refreshment. Well done to all those involved in maintaining the high standard of this gem of a place.

Went to see the touring ice age art exhibition which was excellent. In fact the whole visit was excellent as this museum is a real gem. First visit and we were most impressed. Informative, interesting and a wide ranging set of exhibitions. The surrounding park area was lovely also. Nice cafe and coffee. Not our last visit
Martyn Z — Google review
An impressive 'Tardis' of a museum, absolutely packed full of an amazing range of interesting exhibits over two floors. All credit to the local council for following the intended free for all approach, making this a very accessible treat for the eyes and the mind. A pleasant on-site cafe is a great addition, in the former summer house at rear. Exceeded expectations, brilliant.
Russell M — Google review
Could easily spend a day here. So much to see in the house, extensive gardens on several levels, and lots of walk options. Things for children, in the house and outside. Rain not a problem. The cafe was ideal for lunch or afternoon tea with seating inside and outside.

Must see!! No fee is required to enter. Incredible Ice Age exhibition!! Absolutely love Cliffe Castle!! Never fails to amaze. Great helpful staff. Wonderful manicured gardens & beautiful grounds. A place to relax with the family. A lovely cafe & conservatory with a view offering delicious food 10/10

Cliffe Castle is free entry, but they do have a donation box. If you wish to donate. Beautifully kept gardens with fountains. Aviaries with budgies, cocktails, canaries, rabbits, outside. I side the castle is amazing and there is something for everyone. Lots to see and enjoy, they have a small cafe there too and is pram and wheelchair friendly except for the upstairs bit. So if you're struggling, what to do and you don't have a lot of money then this is the place to go.

I really loved my time at Cliffe Castle. It’s such a peaceful place to visit, and the gardens are so nice to walk around and relax in. The museum is interesting too with lots to see, but what I enjoyed most was how calm and quiet it felt. It’s the perfect spot if you want somewhere to unwind, and I’ll definitely be going back again.

Shopping
The Airedale shopping centre is a favorable destination for shoppers due to its diverse range of stores, which offers a diminished number of vacant shops compared to other centers in today's market. It features several charity shops, the popular cafe with an appealing appearance, Next, Poundland, Boots, Shoe Zone, phone retailers and more. Additionally, pristine restroom facilities are available. The mall also boasts small independent shops that deliver exceptional customer service.
We went there for the first time with our grandkids on the Easter weekend. It was lovely with performances by circus people and Knight fights. Children were excited, they watched the performances, got their faces painted and a got a free balloon figure. They joined in a small craft session. It was a great day for all of us.

Visited here whilst on holiday in a neighbouring town. It didn't take me long to walk around but does have a bit of everything. It is a relatively small town with the usual shops, there was a small indoor market too. It has a decent bus depot with lots of different buses stopping and indoor waiting area.
Ian — Google review
It's okay, decent amount of shops but it's in a dire need of a makeover. Looks like it's stuck in the 80's. Wheelchair friendly, would be good if the cafe's were back open again in the centre. Hopefully one day!

Some nice cafes in the centre. Clean and welcoming. Unfortunately lots of empty shops. Nice social space in the middle that seems to do activities for children during the holidays.

Such a shame that it is half empty of shops and people nowadays. Was probably a great place to shop 20 years ago but a sad shadow of it's former self now. Quite depressing walking around.

Myrtle Park, located in the heart of Bingley, offers a variety of activities for visitors. Families can enjoy the skate ramp, play areas, and an aviary with entertaining Cockatiel birds. The park is also popular for dog walks, with lower fields by the river providing ample space for exercise. Additionally, there are a playground for kids and a bowling green, as well as a charming cafe that extends a warm welcome to all.
Myrtle Park is a great place to bring dog. Down by the river is quiet and he loves to swim after the ball. There’s a playground and tea room at the top end. Fun place to bring kids.
Nic J — Google review
Nice area good open spaces to picnic and chill. Has a couple of playgrounds that are ok not that big and a bit busy so had to wait to get on things. There’s a bowling green and cafe and ice cream shop there. The ice cream is really nice. They had a festival on when we went so there was an animal petting zoo and various other attractions in and around.
Leon D — Google review
Our toddler enjoyed the experience, play equipment, looking at birds in the aviary (I felt queasy at captive birds in such a bare concrete set up). Ornate war memorial with bedding plants. There's what looks to be a well appointed cafe and there was live music in the bandstand on a Wednesday when we went (small combo singing and playing amplified guitars etc) This seemed to be appreciated by a small audience using the seating provided. No car park, paid-for small car public park off the approach to the Town Hall. I wouldn't make a point of going again as it's not local to me, but it would be a nice green space for Bingley residents.
BEVERLEY T — Google review
I really enjoyed going to this park, there's something for everyone. Nice therapeutic walks, clean rivers, clean children's park abd a cafe. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of dogs running around without their owners and coming to our picnic table and sniffing our delicious food. My children were alittle intimidated by big dogs. I met many people that live near the park and they were really friendly.

Lovely park and paths to walk around. A couple of tree stumps have been carved and look really pretty.

This one of our favorite places for a dog walk. You can park close by and take advantage of the lower fields by the river to get some exercise with the pooch. There's a playground for the kids. There's a little cafe and a bowling green, and a formal garden. So something for everyone, and plenty of little spots to discover.

A nice place for the whole family, a little modest playground, an area like a park with something for everyone, a quiet spaxer, golf, cricket, and marching up the stairs.

This park is a highly expansive one that has lush stretches of grass and trees, which are lovely to go around in the summer! There's also an aesthetically pleasing monument in the centre, surrounded by comfortable benches for many people throughout the park.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Haworth, The Treehouse Bar and Kitchen is a recent addition to the local dining scene. This rustic yet contemporary establishment offers a diverse menu featuring small plates, burgers, pizzas, kebabs, loaded fries, and other delectable mains. It's an ideal spot for social dining with friends as you share Yorkshire Tacos, Lasagne Bites, Jalapeno Poppers, Crispy Gnocci alongside their creative cocktails.
Lively pub/restaurant, visited on a Saturday so was very busy (would recommend booking if going for food). Was quite loud and a club set up downstairs, ordered food and cocktails which were delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend for some good food and cocktails. I had the bang bang chicken fried rice that was amazing.

It was a quite disappointing night. Went with some friends and it took us over 1hr and a half to be able to have our dinner. The staff were very friendly but the service was slow, the atmosphere is quite noisy and a bit chaotic so if you want a relaxed evening with your partner or friends it might not be the place for you. Some dishes were good, others didn't justify the price. We thought about leaving a few times and I wish we had done it because it ruined a bit a day that was supposed to be special.
Vyrna A — Google review
Today we had the pleasure of eating in this restaurant for the first time, and it did not disappoint. We both ate a Sunday roast and it was the best we’ve ever had, 100% would recommend. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. We will be coming back!

I had my baby shower here on the 24th August and right from the start when booking everything was so easy, Lauren was a pleasure to speak with and very quick to respond. On the day everything went as planned, the venue was the perfect size and very clean. Rory who was doing the bar was friendly, polite and couldn’t do enough. The food was outstanding and the portions were very generous! All in all we all had the best day and the experience couldn’t of been any better, completely stress free! If anyone is thinking of booking, absolutely do it, you wont regret it! Thanks again for the best day and memories!

The calzone was very good, and I much enjoyed the outdoor seating area. A neat place indeed, and one I would gladly recommend.

A bit disappointed that they'd run out of ingredients for Sunday lunch. However, the Yorkshire burrito and chips was pretty good. Top notch service as well.
Phil K — Google review
We held a baby shower here. The planning and preparation was smooth and I was welcome to view the space and confirm menu choices. I feel the package was good value for money and no one left hungry. The atmosphere was calm and the venue was clean and well presented. We had plenty of time to set up and was not rushed to leave. They also has good Gluten Free options which was great. I would highly recommend as a party venue to also for drinks and food and the bar area.

Popped in after a day out in Haworth with the other half and so glad we did. Lovely place nice and cozy, good atmosphere, professional and friendly staff. I started with the lasagna bites which ended up being my favorite dish of the meal. creamy bites size chunks of lasagna lightly battered sat on a tomato sauce and topped with parmesan. Absolutely amazing perfectly done. Followed it with the Yorkshire burrito which was very nice, meat was lovely and tender and the gravy was thick and rich. Spot on Other half had the calamari, I'm not a fan but I tried a bit and it was really nice he said it was one of the best he's had out. He followed that with a chicken ramen dish, which had a bit of heat to it but not to much, chicken breast just fell apart. Very nice dish. Fabulous find definitely recommend giving it a try, we will be back in the new year

We had a brilliant stay. The location was perfect, the staff were kind. They went above and beyond to be helpful. The room was gorgeous and well appointed with everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast the next morning was excellent. The heritage features of the building are lovely. I wish we had stayed longer.

What a lovely surprise this place was! HUGE room and bathroom with jacuzzi bath and chaise. Lovely lovely place to stay, friendly hosts and quirky, charming surroundings. We will definitely be back!

Where to begin. First of all i do not know who these people are who got 5 star service. Real people ??? Just lucky ??? But I digress. There was zero service at this facility. Zero. We arrived and rang the bell. A voice appeared and instructed us as to how to get into the building where our room key was laid out in the entryway. Up to the room we go. Again i do not know whoooo these reviewers are that had such large, wonderful rooms… our room was cramped and very worn in every aspect. The draperies were smack dab against the hot wall heater. There was barely enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom, while spacious , was in poor condition. Not sure why, with such a large bathroom, the shower was so tiny and only had a free standing sink. The wood surround around the tub was peeling off. A set of towels was left on the bed and I have never seen thinner or smaller towels . Good thing we didn’t need more towels as since there were no employees to be found I don’t know how we would obtain them . The info in the room stated that if anything was needed all we had to do was call the numbers listed. No answer to the call. Again there was no one on the site. We saw one person briefly upon check out but she disappeared while we were loading our car and we just left our key on the chair she was last seen sitting in. Breakfast and wine and “nibbles” offered in the description?? No breakfast, no nibbles, no people on duty. Also a closet door in the “lobby” was perpetually left open to showcase clutter and God knows what .. hoarder stuff.. so lovely to look at . The one positive was the mattress was comfortable . So many missed opportunities to make it better. The owner's have an awesome location in a quaint town. They could make this an adorable with a little effort

We had a two night stay in the Cherubs room. Was so lovely, the bed was comfy and the decor is eclectic and quirky. Just our cup of tea :-) fabulous location on Main Street and within walking distance of all of Haworth's famous areas. Great value for money too. A great base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Would visit again

Right in the centre of it all for easy wanders around Haworth. Lovely quiet end of the street. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Rooms were exceptionally clean and well prepared. Breakfast options were plentiful, large portions, and included in the rate. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely little find. My wife booked it on a whim to break our journey back from the northern wastelands. As soon as I pulled up I realised that I had seen it on YouTube, on a Ruby Granger video, and it lived up to the hype. A lovely room overlooking the park, large bathroom and a very comfortable bed and a tiny, but sufficient, writing table by the window. We stayed two nights and the breakfasts were fantastic. It is situated at the bottom of the Main Street of Haworth, which is a rather steep hill, so it is always easy to return too. It is a five minute walk to the Bronte Parsonage Museum and less than one minute from the nearest bar and gift shop, of which there are many. The lack of a five star for the room is only down to the fact that when some coins rolled under the bed I found a bit of litter and emerged covered in dust bunnies, but to be honest, how many people crawl under the bed? I would use it again.

"The Endless Kettle" is a charming restaurant with a friendly staff and delicious food. The menu offers a variety of options, including the highly recommended polish sausage. The breakfast choices, such as the ultimate breakfast and rustic breakfast, provide a unique twist on traditional dishes and are generously portioned. The art deco interior adds to the dining experience, while the homemade baked goods and spectacular coffee are delightful treats.
The food was absolutely amazing as always but we took an elderly relative who has limited mobility. The main guy (I assume manager or server) was so kind to her, he carried one of her crutches, pulled the chair out, brought her a takeaway box as the portions are very generous and then refused payment for cake. I’ve been multiple times and would recommend it to anyone but even more so after this experience.

12 of us enjoyed an amazing brunch today. Food was fabulous and the waitresses so helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was spot on for a really enjoyable meal together. Wonderful decor. We all had such a great time - thank you so much

I've heard amazing things about the endless kettle but haven't had the opportunity to experience it myself until now. One word....wow. Despite the fact that I was expecting good food based on other people's reviews, I was still vlown away and the brunches completely surpassed my expectations. Little Paris, veggie breakfast, and full breakfast ordered... portion sizes were huge, the food is great quality and cooked to perfection, and their hot chocolate menu is just something else completely. I'll definitely be back to try something else from the menu.

I've been wanting to try this place for years just never got round to it. It was worth the visit! Welcome is good. Deco is good. Service is good. Although I feel a bit strange about having a remote control for the waiters. Food presentation excellent the taste was great. I wish there was more of this enthusiasm and style of restaurant in Keighley. Instead of all the fast food joints.

The food was nothing short of amazing! The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that no one leaves hungry, and every dish we ordered was cooked to absolute perfection. The flavors were rich and satisfying, making it clear that a lot of care and attention goes into their preparation. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Endless Kettle and will certainly be returning in the future. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a delicious and hearty breakfast in a charming setting!

While thinking it a tad expensive for breakfast it was well worth it. The food was amazing. A surprisingly diverse menu catering for most folks, vegan, vegetarian and GF. We were suitably impressed with the staff, the service and the brilliant food. Will definitely be returning.

I rarely write reviews, but after visiting The Endless Kettle, I felt I had to! Where to start... The setting is what I would describe as quirky but in a very good way. It's like taking a step back in time. I can't really think of the words to describe it, but it was definitely a pleasant atmosphere. The young woman at the door was very polite and accomodating, as were the rest of the staff. The food was awesome, so much to choose from and the portion sizes are just, wow... huge! You won't be leaving there with an empty stomach that's for sure. Can't fault the food at all, tasted lovely and there were things that you wouldn't normally expect on a breakfast plate, but it all went very well together. I think a few people have mentioned the prices to be slightly higher than what they would normally expect, but honestly, I feel that for everything you get it's well within the price range. Please go visit to experience this place for yourself! I'll definitely be coming back.

Review from June 2024 Well it's been 6 years since I last had a takeaway. Time to give it a go again. Again I had high hopes and again they have been shattered. Tom yum soup king prawn. It's a pretty easy dish to make. The problem was it was more like the wife's words: "dishwasher water" way too many vegetables with minimal prawns. It had a hint of flavour. Vegetable pad thai. Again lots of vegetables not many noodles. It was heavily peppered my daughter said. She was not keen on it. Pad thai is her favourite dish. so she has a good frame of reference on it from around the world. King Prawn Gaeng Panang/panang Curry The source is very watery again a huge number of vegetables. Asked for spicy and it was a good heat. It just doesn't taste like good Thai food. 95% westernised 5% Thai taste. King Prawn Gaeng Mussaman/mussaman Curry I was really disappointed with this dish. It didn't taste fresh the potatoes were going black in colour. You can see the images for reference. The taste was more like a OXO cube. I at the prawns which weren't that fresh. I tried a potato which tasted off and had to leave the rest. Overall I think I'll wait another 6 years to try again. But this is the third time now over 10 years. Review from 2018 I had high hopes, but was left disappointed. My king prawn pad thai was half burnt. It did not taste like pad thai I've had in Multiple Thai restaurants around the world. My wife's jungle curry tasted like bitter and watery / dishwasher soup. My daughter's non spicy pad thai clearly had chili flakes in it so she could not eat it. I really want this place to succeed, This area is saturated with curry houses and low quality restaurants. Note. this was a takeaway.

Your only getting 2 stars because the food actually arrived. Waited over 2 hours for my order. After around an hour my partner received a phone call saying our food wouldn't long another 15 minutes. Waited another 40 minutes still nothing, rang the restaurant said it wouldn't be long I said we've been waiting a hour and a half now, lady tried to offer me free bottle of wine which I declined as we don't drink, she then said well what can I do I said just bring me my food. Waited again around another 1hr tried ringing however, mysteriously my phone went to voicemail yet when my partners rang via his number he got straight through only to be told food was on its way. Finally the food did arrive however, mysteriously it was so spicy we had to leave it which as never been the case before. Final thought, We will not be spending our money here again nor our time.

I've been here a few times and every time the food has been tasty, nicely cooked, well presented and something to be proud of. Particular favourite is the fishcakes and the cashew nut stir fry or the satay and massaman. Excellent value early bird menu. You'd not be disappointed here!

I have only recently had the takeaway from here and can over give the food a 5* review. Every dish that I have tried has been fresh, beautiful, plentiful, and really reasonably priced. They need to do work on their website, so it's better to phone orders through, and they can only deliver on weekends but the food is worth collecting.
Zoe S — Google review
Normally a good place, but our latest experience was they totally ignored our request of no onions- and covered mine in onions. Then made us wait over an hour to deliver (we picked up our order the first time) the replacement. And when asked why they delivered someone else’s first they told my husband ‘because they paid for it’. What?! So did we!! The first time when they made a mistake!! I know people can get it wrong but twice in a row dealing with a mistake they made isn’t their strong suit. Food is normally good. Finally eating just shy of 2 & 1/2 hours after our first order. Disappointed with the service.

An excellent Thai Restaurant in Keighley. The choice of authentic Thai food is varied and the quality is excellent. We chose from the “early birds” fixed menu, which is available between 6pm and 7pm from Sunday to Thursday and it was fantastic value for money. For £8.95 you get to choose from 5 starters then one of 6 mains and rice is included. I paid an extra 50p to swap my rice for pad Thai. The portions were also very good and drinks prices were reasonable. Brilliant! I will definitely return.

East Riddlesden Hall, located in Keighley, is a 17th-century manor house surrounded by trees and a large pond. Managed by the National Trust, it offers visitors a glimpse into the past with its period furnishings and well-maintained interior that reflects the 1600s. The formal gardens provide a serene setting for leisurely strolls.
Had an excellent day here. Beautiful surroundings with large pond and lots of ducks. Shop, coffee shop, second hand books and plants. Took a walk around the gardens, play park, picnic tables, barn and house. Mostly accessible except for some areas that have cobbles and stones. Toilets are excellent with disabled, baby changing, male and female. Very much enjoyed. They have a barn that can be used for wedding. Plus lots of fairy lights.

What a lovely hidden little gem. Spectacular beautiful old Manor House, enthralled by the architecture. The main barn is something else, you cannot believe it’s still standing in all its original glory. Still some lovely pieces of furniture and tapestry’s in the main house. The lovely I’m presuming volunteers there, with lots of takes and history, very informative. We enjoyed winder g the gardens, absolutely delightful seeing families sat enjoying the gardens. Games out fir the children to ply, lots of little different play areas to enjoy. Plenty of picnic tables to sit out and enjoy a picnic, even on the grass by the cute little lake. We stopped at the cafe, so quaint, quick snack and coffee , it was lovely. They have plenty of parking, which we did not notice until we left. They have an over flow at the bottom in a huge field, with lots of picnic areas to sit and enjoy. It really was a pleasant surprise finding this lovely place right in our doorstep. A visit is a must for lovely day out, especially if you love history like us.

Enjoyed our visit to this small national trust property. We thought it might be larger from the description, but actually we had looked around the house, barn and gardens in about an hour and a half. There were some walks we could do, but the weather was very hot and we visited with our dog so we avoided it. Our dog was welcome most places, apart from the main hall and upstairs in the tearoom. There were a couple of nice playground areas for young visitors, and there were some craft activities for children to do.

East Riddlesden Hall makes the most wonderful wedding venue. As a local wedding photographer I always get excited when I get to work here. The grounds and buildings make a fantastic backdrop for wedding photography and the gardens are so beautifully maintained and change with each season. The team at ERH are great to work with and are always on the ball. As a wedding photographer, it's a wedding venue that gives me the opportunity for creative couple portraits unlike any other local wedding venues.

A nice little house with lots of things to see and learn about. They've kept it quite well preserved and the garden is quite neat too. The best thing is the staff, they're so nice and enthusiastic to talk about the features and the origins of the items inside. There is also a lovely cafe that has homemade cakes and snacks.

A lovely Hall steeped in local history. Donated to The National Trust by two Brothers who wanted it preserving. Lovely period furniture and superbly restored and maintained. A cafe in one of the outbuildings provides refreshments and the grounds are great to walk around.

Park
Cliffe Castle Park in Keighley is a former mansion turned museum with beautiful grounds that are free to enter and park. The park offers excellent facilities including a cafe, children's play area, and an aviary, making it a great day out for all ages. Visitors praise the stunning grounds, beautiful views, vibrant flowers and plants, lovely fountains, and the variety of birds and small animals.
Beautiful place inside and out a real gem of a place nestled in the now busy town. Spent a lot of time here when I was younger and it's nice to see it's still going strong. One thing I do recommend is seeing the birds I don't no why I find them very peaceful. Enjoy
This M — Google review
They always serve tasty, fresh food in the cafe. It does get busy, but that's because it's good. The car park gets busy, I park at the side gate and walk through the park.
Julia D — Google review
Brilliant free museum have been coming here some 50 years since a small child. The park is lovely with safe play area for children and a café with a good menu selection. Free concerts in summer at the bandstand and winter often bands play at the café. Every visit however old or young is an adventure.

A lovely wander round ... though car park mega busy
Mel P — Google review
A really gem. The history is just amazing. A great family day out. Free parking, cafe which is not too badly priced. Helpful staff and very large grounds. Great for walking around or play in. The museum is free. They do ask for a contribution which we did. The house is as it was back when it was loved in. The art work and exhibits are just amazing. Go you won't be disappointed. If you can donate to the up keep. This museum needs to open to all.

Fantastic Stately-Home-turned-Museum! Art, archaeology, history, antiques, stained glass, an actual Egyptian mummy... And a lovely garden as well, including a cafe. I was extremely satisfied with a day out to see it. Free parking, and a suggested donation of £3 per person made it worth my time to get there.
Mason R — Google review
Fantastic place to visit museum is a must to visit lovely grounds and cafe as well
Dennis W — Google review
This park is absolutely stunning and is a real hidden gem which is a credit to Keighley and the Council. The grounds are beautiful, the views from near the play area are great, the flowers and plants are superb and the fountains are lovely. I wasn't expecting it to be so nice, and the birds and small animals up near the big house section were very good to see. Fair play to the local people for keeping the park in good condition too. Hope many more people can continue to enjoy it.

Specialty Museums
The Vintage Carriages Trust Museum of Rail Travel, located in Keighley, United Kingdom, was established in 1972 by a group of railway enthusiasts dedicated to preserving and restoring vintage railway carriages. This larger museum at Ingrow Station offers a fascinating collection of vintage carriages with a walkway allowing visitors to explore them. The exhibits include audio information about the carriages, details on their appearances in films/programs, and various artifacts displayed both inside and outside the museum.
Lovely museum, very clean & tidy. Very informative interpretation boards & explanations. Blue plaques gave details of which film/TV series they had been used in.
Tony F — Google review
What an awesome museum, filled with beautifully restored and important historical carriages. A must visit for enthusiasts and families alike. The latter to see how their ancestors travelled.
Miller W — Google review
After a very poor experience last month I re visited the museum during the 1940s event on the Sunday. Both of the young people behind the counter were fantastic, very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely re visit the museum in future. Much appreciated for all of the help, especially given how busy the museum was. 5/5. would recommend.
Joseph S — Google review
Spent the day visiting the railway & got off the train at Ingrow to visit the museums. Really enjoyed wondering around the two attractions & the volunteers were so friendly.
Steve64 — Google review
A must visit location for train/rail history fans. The volunteers are knowledgeable and keen to share; the displays have been updated and will be even better next year; the archives and library are a treasure trove.
Loraine H — Google review
Amazing place, you get to go in various carriages that have been used in films. They also have magazines for sale that go as far back as 1902 and a really good priced gift shop. It's worth doing this as part of a day out on the Keighley Worth Valley Railway
Yorkie P — Google review
This is a fantastic museum, very interesting and informative, the staff are very helpful and friendly, a great place to visit and spend some time viewing all the exibits and displays.
Alistair 1 — Google review
Even if you're not a train enthusiast, it's worth a trip to this small but well-kept museum to see the old carriages, some of which are from the 1800s. It's free to enter if you have a railway Day Rover ticket.

Pub
Marquis of Granby is a family and dog-friendly pub and restaurant located on the Leeds Liverpool canal between Bingley and Silsden. The establishment features a large decked beer garden with a children's play area, making it an ideal spot for sunny days. They offer delicious locally sourced food, a good selection of beers, cocktails, and even have a gin of the week.
Brilliant, friendly pub. Dogs are welcome, with water bowls and a treat box. A large outdoor seating area and a decent sized kids play area with swings and slides.

May 2025 visit - don't serve food but happy to allow locally bought fish & chips, Chinese or Indian if you buy drinks ,(detailed directions provided). Pleasant atmosphere and a good range of drinks.
Leonard K — Google review
After a long walk by the canal we were pleased to find the Marquis of Granby open and called in for some refreshment. Received a warm welcome and after a Guinness, Cider and some pleasant chat we decided to walk back to Bingley instead of catching the bus. Can't comment about the food as we did not partake but it is definitely worth a visit. Amended opening hours :- Mon -Thurs 14:00 till late.

We have just had 3 amazing courses at this place. The taste and the presentation of the food was amazing. The four of us agreed that that food was better than nearly every restaurant that we have been to. Thanks to the Chef, the management and our waitress Emily. If you are looking for a restaurant in the Bradford area that is amazing, come to this place. Steve
Steve S — Google review
Having not been to the Granby since the 90's we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Staff were all friendly, waitresses were polite and left the right amount of time between courses/ordering etc. Quality of food was up there with some of the best country pubs I've been to which I wasn't expecting with it been tucked away in the middle of Riddlesden. Although we didn't sit in the bar it looked clean and cosy, dogs were welcome. A very homely atmosphere. We will certainly be back soon.

If I could give this pub 0 stars I would from the minute we arrived we was met with nothing but unfriendliness and rudeness from everyone in their ! Clearly one of them clicky pubs who don’t welcome anyone ! Within an hour they had kicked of with our group throwing punches with us totally out of order including the manager ! And staff that work their not to mention the biggest lad you could have seen putting a young girl in our group in a chokehold absolutely disgusting ! Would not recommended if your not part of their clicky village group 🫡

We had our wedding reception here March 2023. We got what we wanted and more. The buffet was beautiful. The room looked stunning. The landlord’s Carl & Sarah went above and beyond to make our day special. It was much more than that, it was perfect. Our guests have all commented about how lovely it was. Sarah was an amazing host. We love this place. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere each time we go. I can’t recommend The Marquis of Granby enough. They say when you get married it’s the best day of your life. Both Carl & Sarah helped make that happen. Forever grateful.

Ordered large and got a small chips bag inside a large one so I didn't notice when it was handed to me. What kind of scam is that? Otherwise the burger was okay if a bit dry. Don't expect much.
Bryn H — Google review
Watch out, they’ll find the most expensive way to bill you. We ordered 6 wings, and they charged us for 3 x 2-piece portions (£4.47), even though they could have billed us for 2 x 3-piece portions, which would’ve only been £3.98. The girl at the drive-through tried to pretend they don’t sell wings in sets of three—but they do. My girlfriend is still furious. It’s been 24 hours and she’s still going on about it. We went back and got the refund, but honestly, I wish we’d never gone there. I’m still getting an earful about it. I think I’ll take some painkillers and call it a night. Thanks.

FOUND A SPIDER IN MY FOOD The only reason I am giving them one star is because it doesn't let me give 0 star. Absolutely horrible place. Toilets were disgusting. The place was a mess. The staff don't even care to clean the place at all. The place was almost empty but all the chairs and tables had left over food and mess. The staff didn't even look bothered. Never again. Shame on you KFC. Thought you'd have better people to give your franchises to

Paid 17 in total for a boneless banquet, yeah small bag of chips so counted 9 chips between 2 people, bit of gravy a few popcorn bits and 3 very small bits of chicken, the chips was that cold I think I got frostbite. Kfc you are a corporate company sort yourselves out. After eating what appears to be a meal between 2 people I think I might make something to eat my self.

The food is delicious, fresh and well-presented, making it a great choice for tapas or cocktails.
Lovely little place great service and a good range of food to choose from mixture of Mexican and Mediterranean dishes so something for everyone. They have a nice range of cocktails too. We were a party of 8 and had great service nothing was too much trouble

Absolutely delicious tapas and yummy cocktails! Got an incredible amount of delicious food for a Saturday night in for under £30 (including the 3 cocktails, which were adorably presented in jam jars with gift tag labels). Can't wait to be back in K Town again and hopefully be able to go back and eat in :D

Great little restaurant. Big portions and incredibly tasty. We had 3 tapas for £11 but these are not tapas sized. I wasn't sure the menu would work as its a mixture of Mediterranean and Mexican but it really does. Cocktails are great too. Give it a go! Special shout out to waiting staff who really were very attentive. Great all rounder family restaurant.
Sandra S — Google review
My wife and I took our 14-month-old daughter there for tea today. The ambience was very relaxed and we felt comfortable being there. The menu is reasonably varied and priced and the service was the right balance between attentive and giving us our space. Our daughter was accommodated for well. The food was pretty good and we certainly left feeling full after two courses. We both had a largely Mexican selection. I noticed that the chap spent a lot of time at the till after I asked for the bill. My wife checked the bill and queried it as it didn't seem right (the way it was itemised) but what he'd done was put our order through various times on different deals to see which one came out cheapest and it was cheaper than we had expected. What a nice chap. Would definitely recommend The Lemon Tree.
Paul R — Google review
My first visit to The Lemon Tree and didn't go for food, went for the sing a round evening they host once a month. Lovely cosy place, spotlessly clean, and welcoming. I looked at the menu boards, all sounds great and the prices look grand too. The two staff I met were very personable, helpful and very friendly. Will be going back to sample the grub!

Our first time at lemon tree this evening and we were not disappointed. The environment was warm, cosy and casually inviting. The food was tasty, authentic and well presented. The service was great, the waiter was attentive and never left us waiting or wanting for anything. Great food, great wines and great service. Will be returning and highly recommend
