Gallery Oldham

Art museum
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the heart of Oldham's Cultural Quarter, Gallery Oldham is a vibrant public art space that invites visitors to immerse themselves in a diverse array of exhibitions and activities. Opened in February 2002, this free-to-visit gallery showcases contemporary works alongside community projects and historical displays. With no permanent exhibits, it boasts one of the busiest exhibition schedules in the region, ensuring there's always something new to discover.
What a delightful spur-of-the-moment discovery! After a trip to the library with the kids, we noticed the welcoming free entry poster for Gallery Oldham and decided to pop in – a decision we were so glad we made. From the moment we stepped inside, the gallery offered a surprisingly engaging experience for all ages. My children were immediately drawn to the charming kids' area, complete with sensory toys and crayons, thoughtfully placed nearby so I could still enjoy the art. One of the highlights was the unexpected sight of beehives on the balcony, visible through a large window. The gallery had even placed cosy sofas in front of it, making it a wonderfully peaceful spot to observe the bees buzzing about their important work. The artwork itself was truly inspiring, with a clear connection to local artists and Oldham's heritage. It was fascinating to see depictions of how Oldhamers used to dress and live, offering a real glimpse into the town's past. The gallery then continued this journey through time, providing amazing information and facts about how Oldham has changed and evolved over the decades. Gallery Oldham is a real gem – a welcoming, educational, and surprisingly engaging space that offers something for everyone. The free entry makes it even more appealing for families. We'll definitely be returning!

On the ground floor is a bright and welcoming public library with a smattering of users. The galleries are upstairs and on our visit deeply disappointing. Viewing stuffed birds and animals is neither art nor culture. There was a small section explaining the local suffragette movement which gave the experience its second star.

Gallery Oldham - A great place to discover beautiful art and historical objects What is Gallery Oldham? Gallery Oldham is an art gallery that is located in the heart of Oldham. It holds a variety of exhibitions and galleries that look at art in different ways including portraits, sculptures, posters and historical items. It currently holds the following Exhibitions and Galleries which are: Gallery 1 - Oldham Stories Gallery 2 - Finding the Funny: Sam Fitton Gallery 3 – Tony Husband Gallery 4 – Robert Lees: Oldham in the Countryside Exhibitions Visited Oldham Stories This was a great Exhibition that showcased interesting items giving a historical insight from the past to the present. This includes a vast array of objects from various collections at the Gallery. This included the National History, Social History and Art collections. Some of the items that were on display included The Rothwell Car, Jewellery, and specimens of taxidermy. These items were interesting to look at with a great story behind each object. The Natural History Collection was beautiful. It was lovely to see a large range of habitats that can be found in Oldham. This included owls, foxes, badgers, birds and swans. Finding the Funny: Sam Fitton Sam Fitton started his career in the textile mills before becoming a skilled illustrator, poet, dialect, writer and performer. This Exhibition was engaging as you saw Sam’s various works from cartoons that he drew in the newspaper The Cotton New Times. It also brought nostalgia in the adverts that he did for famous brands including Macintosh Toffees and other products. It also gives an outlook on how he used different dialects in his writing. His art work is also thought provoking in highlighting the issues of mill workers. This Exhibition was brilliant showing how Sam used different art means in order to earn a living. Inspiring. The interactive element of this Exhibition which is the badge making for a mill worker was fun, educational and made you think out of the box. Facilities Gallery Oldham has a café however it is currently temporarily closed. However there are a few cafes nearby that you can go to after your visit. There are toilets on the premises. Pricing It is free to visit Gallery Oldham. Parking There is no designated car park for this Gallery however there is a nearby car park that is pay and display. This is free for Blue Badge holders. What was good about Gallery Oldham? There is a great variety of objects that are full of history. Each Exhibition is engaging and is full of beautiful artwork that is beautiful. There are some good interactive activities to enhance your visit What could have been improved at Gallery Oldham? There could have been some background music Some of the habitats and art works did not have good descriptions so more detailed ones would be helpful.

You can find the a good collection of art 🎨 classic and contemporary painting, ceramic and some museum articles. The Gallary hold exhibitions for local artists some regular and some special. Which encourages local artists when these events are done. To get to it is a bit not easy because the traffic in Oldham and especially in that area is not easy to negotiate whoever there is a free parking 🅿 there for enough time to explore it. The metrolink is not far from it. If have time you can check the library which is in the same building
Visitors M — Google review
Both a gallery and library, this place has been a staple in the town of Oldham for as long as I can remember. The library has a good spot to take little kids to read, it also occasionally offers events to do here. The gallery is a good place to learn about the history of the town as well as offering actual art to view. There is also a lovely bit about bees with a sofa and a small table full of things for kids to do to learn about bees as well as an actual bee hive on the landing (outside).

Many congratulations to all responsible at Gallery Oldham for the truly brilliant Pick and Mix and Pedestrian exhibitions. Both of the highest quality in all creative and execution aspects

Small but nice to have a real gallery in Oldham. They do lots of community displays which is good. Great views from here also.

Tandle Hill Country Park

Nature & Parks
Tandle Hill Country Park, located between Rochdale and Oldham, spans 110 acres of lush grassland and mature beech woodland. On clear days, visitors can enjoy picturesque views of the Manchester Plain, the Pennines, and even the Welsh mountains. The park features a countryside center providing information about local wildlife and area history. With its designation as a site of biological importance for fungi and bird populations, it's a great spot for birdwatching.
A lovely wander around. Brilliant little parks and fantastic views from up at the top where the monument it. The cafe is open weekends and the car park isn't very big. A nice place to wear the kids out. Apparently I'm too old to go on this massive slide ...so hubby said 😁
PAULA L — Google review
Tandle Hill Country Park is a beautiful escape from the city with a mix of woodlands, open fields, and well-maintained walking paths that make it ideal for families, dog walkers, and anyone looking for a peaceful day outdoors. The views from the top are especially rewarding, offering a wide panorama across Greater Manchester and on clear days even stretching towards the Pennines. The park feels safe and welcoming, and there are plenty of benches along the way to stop and enjoy the scenery. It is also a great spot for children, with lots of space to run and explore. Whether you want a relaxing stroll, a picnic with friends, or a brisk walk to get some exercise, this park offers a little bit of everything.
Patrik K — Google review
We Had a lovely afternoon walk around Tandle Hill Country Park today. The kids had a great time exploring the woodland trails, plenty of space to run around, climb, and discover little hidden spots among the trees. After a good wander, we stopped off at the playground areas, which were well-maintained and had a nice variety of equipment for different ages. There’s a charming little café near the entrance where you can grab toasties, ice creams, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. It’s a great spot to take a break and refuel, especially if you’ve been walking for a while. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Parking was easy there’s plenty of space, and it’s free, which is always a bonus. We spent a couple of hours here and could easily have stayed longer. Some parts of the park are so peaceful, especially deeper into the woods, where you can just sit quietly and listen to the birds and rustling leaves. It’s a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend for families, walkers, or anyone looking for a bit of fresh air and nature. We’ll definitely be back!
TaraX Q — Google review
A lovely big place to come and have a walk, people you pass are friendly, dogs seem to enjoy the freedom of running and chasing balls etc.... plenty of different routes you can take to walk around also, big well established trees and you can walk up to the monument at the top and see for miles around. We have a tree planted here for my late brother in law, when it was done the ground staff were amazing, very respectful, especially when it came to spreading his ashes.

Country park in Royton with toilets, picnic areas, playground and cafe (only open weekends which is a shame) There's a largish car park but also parking on the approach road (if there's space).Lots of routes that are colour coded. Some are quite steep but if you have the strength to push a pram/wheelchair uphill the trails are wide and in good condition - mainly tarmac or hardcore. There are plenty of narrower trails off these for the more adventurous.
Julie H — Google review
Found this park late in the evening and visited for the reported Pennine views. The park itself is really unusual, very up and down but largely on smooth surfaces. We went up some stairs to reach the top and were greeted with a mega view back over Manchester and the surrounding countryside. Great place to see a sunset (we caught the end of it), with a couple of places to sit and take in the views from. Worth a trip.
Duncan H — Google review
Such a lovely place for hiking and walking. If you want to have the feel of being in the forest it's one of that spots near Manchester. Really enjoyed there with friends and family.
Afshan K — Google review
Lovely walk around Tandle Hill this afternoon, kids enjoyed the woodland then stopped off at the playground areas. Nice little cafe, can get toasties, ice-creams and hot & cold drinks. Plenty of parking. We had a good couple of hours here. So lovely and peaceful in areas and just sit and listen to the wildlife.

Oldham Coliseum Theatre

Theaters
Oldham Coliseum Theatre is a historic venue that dates back to 1885 and was originally a circus before being relocated to its current site in Fairbottom Street. The theater hosts a variety of performances including comedy, drama, dance, opera, music, and pantomime. It also serves as a receiving house for touring productions and special events. The company produces eight shows annually on its main stage with a diverse program including drama, comedy, musicals, and new writing.
Oldham Coliseum Theatre is a theatre in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. Found on Fairbottom Street in the town centre, Oldham's Coliseum is a repertory theatre which celebrated its centenary in 1987. Its interior makes it a great period classic in theatre terms, and has seen the likes of local performers such as Eric Sykes, Charlie Chaplin, Dame Thora Hird and Dora Bryan tread its boards. The history of the theatre can be traced back to 1885. It was originally intended to be a permanent home for the Great American Circus, then based on Henshaw Street, but the owner of the circus, Mr Myers, was unable to pay for the completed work. Following a court case, ownership of the building was granted to Thomas Whittaker, the carpenter who had performed the work. Whittaker decided to open the Coliseum as a theatre and the first production was called Culver's Circus.[citation needed] Other notable owners of the theatre include Paul Yates, founder and owner of Yates' Wine Lodge. During its time, the Coliseum has opened and closed doors on numerous occasions. In 1911, in a bid to compete with the rising trend of cinema, the theatre began to show silent films in between productions. In 1918, it was bought by Dobie's Electric Theatres. In 1931 it was converted into a cinema, but its life a cinema was short-lived as the recession of 1932 hit hard and it closed its doors within 12 months. It stood empty until 1939 when a local group called The Oldham Playgoers Club were successful enough to sign the lease on the building and stage their own productions. The theatre is said to be one of the most haunted theatres in Britain. In 1947, actor Harold Norman, who was non-suspicious and refused to follow theatrical tradition when it came to The Scottish Play, died after being stabbed by a sword whilst playing the title character in Macbeth. The theatre was features in a 2004 episode of the TV series Most Haunted. The theatre was renovated in 2012.[

Wow, what a fabulous theatre this is! I feel gutted that I only visited for the first time last night to see Simon Brodkin (who was amazing) and now it's closing down in just a couple of weeks. A very warm and intimate theatre. This is clearly a very special place with such a storied history, it's a credit to Oldham and it's a crying shame Oldham council and Arts Council England are just letting it slip out of existence now. It should be saved!

Watched Cinderella and it was wonderful, not only for my 3 year old but for myself as Well. Friendly and patient staff members. I will happily return and recommend to people. Thank you for an enjoyable show. P.S. I took the photo before the show began and not during 😁

You just can't beat it. Pantomime at Christmas. Now, it is a traditional visit to shout at the baddies and cheer for the goodies. A real gem of a place that, regardless of what is on, should be on your list to visit. See you next year

A nostalgic experience shared with my lads. Awesome and good value for money. Thanks for catching the cars as they came off mate. 😎
Sonny S — Google review
By far the best scaletrix place I’ve been to. They have 5-6 great tracks with a lot of variety in terms of track layout, terrain, theme, controllers and race format. We did an hour comprising of 10 mins on each track which seemed perfect for the casual visitor. The time flew by despite us not being particularly into the hobby - well recommended!

Very competitive rainy day out!! Great for all the family, and no need to take the kids unless they insist. Very attentive staff, always on hand to the cars back on track. Thanks!!

Today, I visited Little Owl Farm with my young daughter. We had a wonderful time exploring the small farm and interacting with the well-cared-for animals. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing us with information about the animals' names and even sharing interesting facts. The farm offers beautiful views and has a charming cafe and clean restroom facilities. Of all the creatures we encountered, my daughter particularly loved the crow.
Really good visit for pumpkin carving. Cheaper than other farms and the staff are great, shame the shop is closing. There's a vegan breakfast option in the cafe and we want to visit again at Christmas 🎄

I love this place, so happy to see them open again and overjoyed to see the owls back safe and sound; I love bringing my niece here, the animals are always so lovely and Farmer John and staff are wonderfully attentive and considerate. The farm has hand sanitizer stations set up everywhere, the café is immaculate and the toilets are spotless.

Brilliant for kids and grown ups. The Little Owl Farm in Delph has all sorts of #farmanimals than you can pet and feed. Everything from pigs, goats, chickens, horses and donkeys, to small and big owls. Our three year old nephew had a great day out and we even enjoyed a picnic with their Dalmatian.

A wonderful experience for our little girls on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. Very nice animals they can pet and feed. We visited the cafe afterwards and the food was fantastic. The breakfast looked spot on but we had pie and actually bought one from the farm shop to take home and have another time. Highly recommend the farm for young children and anyone for the cafe/food.

It was really lovely at Chadderton District Town Hall and it was really fun
Sinclair I — Google review
Lovely building but unfortunately not the most organised which really let down our wedding day. Checked in with staff a few weeks before our wedding to check if they had everything they needed including our chosen wording and readings which were sent a year prior. We were assured they had everything. Cut to our wedding day when I was just about to walk down the aisle to be told that they didn't have them and that I would need to pick out new ones there and then. This meant we didn't get the readings we wanted or the wording we'd spent hours choosing. Then to top it all off this meant that the ceremony was only nine minutes long. Disappointing to say the least.

I had my wedding and also had to register a death within six weeks of each other. They had the upmost respect and were very helpful with us. This was in 2020 just as we was coming out of covid.

Good atmosphere and have plenty of computers for doing your work and university assignments etc. The big problem is, this place is super noisy, top floor is full of kids and people watching YouTube on full blast loud speakers. Ground floor is good, but you can still hear all the noise from upstairs. Membership is free can be done from reception in just 5mins.

Lancaster Park & Animal Farm

Farm
Sights & Landmarks
Lancaster Park & Animal Farm is a family-friendly petting farm with farm animals to pet and feed. There are activities and games for kids to enjoy, as well as a nature walk.
Been recommended coming here for ages and finally made it, it's only £8.50 each adult or child, which is decent. On entrance only looks like a fairly small farm park but boy were we surprised. There are small petting animals like rabbits and guinea pigs, a huge walk around field to see more like goats, donkeys, horses and more. There's a kiddies play park on the other side and a refreshments hut serving tea/coffee and ice creams etc. A great day out for the family and well worth a visit.

If you’re looking for a fun day out with the family, this is definitely the place to bring the kids. You’ll get to see and even feed a variety of animals including sheep, rabbits, horses, alpacas, lambs, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, turtles, geese, and donkeys. Animal feed is available for just £2, which adds to the experience. There’s also a lovely scenic walk through the farm, making it a great way to spend a few relaxing hours outdoors. A perfect spot for a family outing

Had a fabulous day. Plenty of animals to see and feed. Lovely walk around the park. Staff were friendly and willing to explain about the animals, very helpful and well informed regarding the welfare of the animals. The play ground for the children was well equipped and plenty of picnic tables and chairs. There is a tea kiosk with a very friendly lady serving drinks and ice cream. Will definitely visit again.

Came with Family here. Was a wonderful day out with it raining on and off. Lots too see and walk. Plenty of animals to pet and a kids play area. Hoping to visit soon when the weather is better. Was a good day out little kid loved all the animals and we fed them with the food bought on entry at the kiosk. Small car park just enough space to park if you get here during quiet times.

Absolute 10/10! So much to do. Went pumpkin picking with my little boy and I came back with over 100 photos! So many props and photo opportunities. The effort and money put into it is notable. The farm is huge, so many animals, and two different play parks for kids with so much to do. Food and drink prices are unbelievable, never been to a farm so cheap before. The wizard school was a great touch, wish they let you take a wand or potion as a keepsake. There is no gift shop which was a disappointing part. Would 100% go back. Highly recommend. I am against putting little kids online, especially my own so unfortunately I can’t share the amazing photos of him that i managed to take. But if you’re thinking of going, you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely brilliant family day out at the halloween event. All children and adults really enjoyed it. Especially good if you're into harry potter like our daughter is. She was told by professor Snape that she was the star student of the day which really made her happy.

Last time I came here was about 6 years ago and there wasn’t much to see or do. A LOT has changed!!! Really impressed with the effort that has gone into upgrading the farm!! Plenty of animals to meet, really lovely staff, activities clearly posted so you can plan your day, activity parks with lots of activities for different ages. My only criticism is that it wasn’t clear which door of the petting barn you go into for the visit but that’s super small in comparison. Even the poor chap who drove the caterpillar ride was kind to my son who followed him off telling him how awesome the ride was and thanking him a thousand times over!! We will definitely be back!! Rivals the other farms in the area easily!

The staff are welcoming and attentive, providing helpful assistance to visitors. There is an abundance of information and artifacts to explore, making it a worthwhile destination. My wife and I decided to make a visit to this lovely little museum spread over 4 floors, and it cost us just 3 pounds each to get in great price, and the wonderful staff are so helpful and very welcoming . there is so much to read and see . well worth a visit they have costume for children to dress up in . they have a little shop and toilets for paying customers on the ground floor. So next time you're in Saddleworth / Uppermill, pay them a visit, and you will not be disappointed

Good little museum and gallery with aim of showcasing and preserving Saddleworth’s landscapes, history and peoples. Good range of artefacts and exhibits with focus on Saddleworth’s place in Industrial Revolution. At £6 for family you can’t complain.
Del213 — Google review
Excellent small museum with many interesting exhibits on various local subjects. Chairs are available in each gallery, if you need a quick rest; what a good idea. Unfortunately, the experience was soured by the policy on using the toilets. I often need to use a toilet in a hurry; fortunately for me, this was not the case on this occasion, as the toilets were locked. They also want a "donation " of £1 , which you have to pay at the reception desk prior to accessing the toilet. I don't think it is right to try and shame people into paying for a toilet when you've already paid to get in. If you truly want a donation, keep the toilets unlocked and put a collection box out for purely voluntary amounts.

Amazing Museum with lots of interactive sections. Great for all ages and set in such a lovely place. Staff are friendly and they give you trails to spot things whilst going around the museum. Will return.

Nice museum with interesting exhibits and panels about local life in the (mainly) recent past. I was surprised that there was no mention of the Moors Murders, though. Definitely worth the entry fee of £3 for adults.

Galactica

Roller coaster
Theme park
Galactica, formerly known as Air, is a high-speed coaster at Alton Towers Resort in the UK. It offers riders the unique experience of flying face down with two full 360-degree inversions. In 2016, the ride was re-themed and VR headsets were added, allowing guests to feel like they are gliding through space and another galaxy. The option to ride with or without VR is available, providing different experiences each time.
Excellent ride, smooth and exciting. Queue was relatively short and the sensation of flying was brilliant. Definitely worth a ride.
Matthew B — Google review
This ride is so fun. One of the best flying coasters in the uk. The only thing is it takes a while in the seats before you get moving. It also is a bit uncomfortable looking forward on the ride so I would recommend just looking down. The restraints are comfortable so that helps. If you get on this ride at the start of the day you can get on with barely any queue.
Finn J — Google review
This ride is not worth the wait unless you are willing to fork out heaps of money for a fastrack pass. A group of friends and I visited Alton Towers in August, and in the morning we went to the Forbidden Valley, hoping to ride Galactica. When we entered the queue, both the Alton Towers app and the sign outside the queue read a 45 minute wait for Galactica. However, this couldn’t have been further from the truth. After an hour of queuing, we were now told that the wait for Galactica was 115 minutes, and that people at the back of the queue (us) would have to expect to wait that long. Whilst we waited hours with young children in the normal “poor people” line, the fastrack queue sped past. I watched the staff members allow a large queue of fastrack passengers (around 50 people in one go), whilst the normal line had been at a standstill for over half an hour. We were only able to reach the front of the queue due to people leaving the line due to the awful wait times. We paid over £60 each for our tickets, and to see the unfair treatment of the “poor people” in the main queue was nothing short of a classist nightmare. Alton Towers, I urge you to limit the number of fastrack passes available for purchase at any time, because our queuing experience was completely abysmal.

I had been on it years ago when it was Air. Still love this ride - ok it may not be as intense as the others but still a good ride. We managed to have a small wait after Nemesis to get on it. Love skimming over the treeline looking at the sky. Just make sure you secure your shoes, seen a few fly off 🤣
Funki P — Google review
Slower and less extreme than a couple of other big rides here, but it's a nice twist being sucked back 90 degrees in the station house to do a whole ride facing towards, not forwards. I say outwards rather than downwards as with the twists in this, there's even a point at which you are riding on your back facing the sky. There's also a great moment where you sweep along the treeline. If you have not much time left, nemesis and smiler should come before this, but I still quite like this. Also, as you ascend on the starter hill, at first you'll be looking down at the Alton towers ground, but then as you pass over the benefits, the ground drops even more, so those afraid of heights will get a surprise straight off
Brandon H — Google review
I rode this in May and it was a good experience The reason I rated this a 4 instead of a 5 is because it isn't as thrilling as other coasters in the park (eg. Nemesis Reborn, The Smiler), it was very smooth since its a B&M Flying coaster. I am not a big fan of the restraints, I prefer Nemesis Reborn's restarints.
Sarah S — Google review
It's a great spot to enter the theme park at Alton towers resort, with the steamy mist it makes a great atmospheric setting that creates alot of excitement as you enter knowing you have arrived at the largest theme park in the uk and gets you ready for a fun day. One of the best rollercoaster rides in the busiest area of the park along side the new Toxicator and nemesis reborn
Jo G — Google review
Galactica stands out as one of Alton Towers’ most innovative and exhilarating roller coasters, combining cutting-edge technology with immersive theming to deliver a truly unforgettable experience. Formerly known as Air, this ride was reimagined and rethemed as Galactica, bringing a fresh narrative and enhanced effects that have elevated it to become a must-ride attraction for thrill-seekers and coaster enthusiasts alike. From the outset, Galactica impresses with its sleek design and futuristic aesthetics. The queue itself sets the tone with a space-themed environment filled with immersive sound effects, lighting, and atmospheric details that build anticipation. As you approach the ride, the sleek, silver flying coaster trains perfectly complement the galactic theme, making riders feel like astronauts about to embark on an interstellar journey. The ride’s unique flying coaster design offers a one-of-a-kind sensation that truly sets Galactica apart from traditional roller coasters. Unlike conventional rides where you sit upright, Galactica positions riders face down in a prone “flying” position, simulating the sensation of soaring through space. This innovative seating arrangement maximizes the thrill factor, providing an incredible sense of speed and freedom as you glide through the course. One of the most remarkable aspects of Galactica is the way it blends intense coaster elements with immersive storytelling. As the ride launches, riders experience powerful turns, loops, and dives that are intensified by the flying position, making the adrenaline rush even more exhilarating. The smooth transitions and high-speed maneuvers are expertly designed to maximize the sensation of flight and weightlessness, creating an experience that is both thrilling and fluid.

Stocco Oldham is a popular and authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Oldham, known for its homely atmosphere and delectable dishes. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional pasta dishes and tasty seafood options, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With quick and attentive service, as well as a fantastic atmosphere, Stocco provides an unforgettable dining experience that comes highly recommended by many patrons.
Amazing restaurant! Amazing staff. Awesome food. Thank you for your great service tonight. The food was above and beyond. I highly recommend you. I am sad as I did not ask for staff names to put them here. Especially the tall, skinny guy(sorry, but your service was amazing , and I don't know your name), we will definitely come back !
Lovin C — Google review
The restaurant’s design and atmosphere are absolutely stunning—5/5. The beautiful decor, relaxing music, and overall vibe create such an inviting and enjoyable dining experience. Even the design of the plates and the elegant presentation of the food added a special touch to the overall charm. That said, the service could use a little improvement. While the staff greeted us warmly upon arrival, they became less attentive after we were seated. Regular check-ins were rare, especially early on, and small details like having tissues on the table were overlooked. This was a bit surprising, as the service during previous visits had been much friendlier and more attentive. As for the food, it wasn’t quite as good as I had hoped this time. The portions seemed slightly smaller, the pasta was undercooked, and the spaghetti bolognese had too much garlic, which made it hard to enjoy. Unfortunately, a few hours after dining, we experienced some stomach discomfort and I personally had nausea, which hasn’t happened before in previous visits. In summary, the ambiance, food presentation, and overall design are exceptional, but with a little more focus on service and food quality, this restaurant could be truly amazing. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal this afternoon. The food was delicious, your staff were top class and the choice of music was classy, while the volume was just right. It was a delightful afternoon altogether, thank you xx

What a delightful experience! Our visit to Stocco was booked in the evening after a long day of exploring Manchester. And this venue gave us a perfect finish for the great day we had. The meal was absolutely exquisite. Spaghetti Gamberoni was perfectly cooked with gentle prawn and complimenting sauce. The Piccante pizza was saturated with flavours that worked together perfectly. Even a person with sensory issues in our group admitted that this was the most delicious bolognese they have ever had. The drinks were refreshing and not too sweet. Tiramisu was glorious and rocks top of the list in our favourites. The service was very welcoming, from entering the building and up until we stepped back out, we felt well taken care of. Honestly, the overall atmosphere was perfect — gentle music, soft lights, high comfort chairs. You don't feel like the owners are playing it cheap. Very pleasant experience, will 100% visit again if around.

Nestled in a charming former police station and town hall on Greave Street, Molino Lounge is a delightful spot in the heart of Oldham. With its expansive windows and inviting terrace, it’s perfect for soaking up the atmosphere while people-watching or unwinding before or after a film at the nearby Odeon.
Love this place. The food is top notch and the staff are very attentive and friendly. However on this occasion it was spoilt by what I presume was the manager sitting a member of staff down for “a talking to” We heard every word and was very uncomfortable. Really felt bad for the guy because we found him awesome.

Nice atmosphere. We visited Sunday around 12.30, it was steady with customers (wasn't packed/busy & wasn't empty either) so we had a choice of table; you have to wait to be seated on arrival, the chap who greeted us was pleasant & asked if we had any vegan requirements (our party did not so couldn't comment on vegan offerings). The place was clean & staff were quick to clean away other tables & wipe them down. There is a selection of alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks to choose from (also do a kids menu). I opted for 3 off the Tapas options & my other guests opted for chicken panini. Although the food was not hot, it was nice enough. There is disabled access & toilets (clean) on the ground floor. The staff were pleasant & asked if all was okay with our meal when it arrived. We were going to have the raspberry & white chocolate cake for dessert, but this was sold out, so we had churros that came with chocolate & caramel sauce which were okay but a little overpriced for what they were (but no more expensive than other places now?) I don't usually have dessert but felt I needed something sweet after my main. My other gust had carrot cake, which was nice. For me, I personally wouldn't eat here again just purely with regards to the menu that I could order the same at other places (merely down to preference). Thank you to the eatery for their hospitality & I would recommend you give it a try.

This really is THE place to eat in Oldham. I find the food to be very high-end at a low-end price. Exceptional quality throughout, I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve eaten here over the years but I can assure you that I’ve never had a single bad experience.
John M — Google review
A great place, lovely atmosphere great food and the staff are fab! Got there early before it filled up.
Bea A — Google review
Had to switch things up for dinner and this was a recommendation by a good friend since the weather was decent we came in to order food and sit outside. It's done by the on-line method which I'm not too keen on as it takes time going through to the payment method rather just tap and pay... Having tried the other restaurant at the top smoke yard my initial thoughts on the burger quality and size had been tarnished somewhat but as you can see by my photos the burger has a decent size. The flavour and quality also surprised me and I made a good choice also recommended or encouraged by my friend. The only let down was the water which is bottled at £2.45 and only 330ml.o have to call it robbery. 750ml is £4.50 which means one could buy an actual 24 pack of bottled water. Think that needs revising but apart from this good experience and will return again with my own water ahaha.

Attended here with 2 friends. It has a nice indoor and outdoor seating area. As we walked in the waitress did offer a gluten free menu. Once seated we chose what we wanted and walked up to place the order, did have the option of scanning on the table. The milkshake was nice but felt like it was a lot more milk. The disappointment was how long we had to wait for the food. It was over an hour and it wasn’t the best. Didn’t enjoy that part at all. Food was really good but as mentioned, the waiting time for food needs improvement.
Farhana — Google review
The review is mostly based on the food and service, because as far as atmosphere goes, we went there for breakfast on a rainy Monday morning, so not much atmosphere to speak of; but the place has good vibes. The food was delicious and the server accommodating to our requests and questions. I had the vegan breakfast with a sausage as extra, and it was all tasty. Also very impressed with the vegan selection overall, spoiled for choice, which is still a fairly rare occurrence.
Roxana S — Google review
Gorgeous interior, welcoming atmosphere. Great food choice with a different and refreshing breakfast menu selection. The chorizo and halloumi hash was really lovely and a way bigger portion than it looked. Also has the choice to add on extra breakfast items such as had browns

From what I’ve experienced, there have been some noticeable improvements compared to my last visit, which is promising! While I did find that the portion sizes seemed to remain consistent, the overall quality of the food this time was quite delightful. We decided to go for a share platter, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice, allowing us to enjoy a little bit of everything together. I really encourage them to keep up the progress they've made in enhancing their offerings because if they continue on this path of improvement, I’m confident they will attract even more customers in the future."

I was told about this place by a few people so my expectations were already high. Wow just wow… it exceeded my expectations and more. Firstly the service was first class. The steaks were just amazing, perfectly cooked and tender and the flavour was bang on. Even the sides and the desert was 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone. What a gem.

Really welcoming and attentive staff. Food was great. We had a steak medium rare, perfectly pink in the middle with a good charred crust and a mildly spiced chicken burger. Sriracha wings, lovely, meat came away easily from the bones with ease. Will go again.

I came back to this lovely eatery after many years... Thank goodness it hasn't changed! The food was incredible, the service was attentive and the experience was definitely worth it! Even the chef was checking all that came from the kitchen was okay, top notch service. I always get a selection of things and I've not been disappointed yet - from the drinks to starters to mains.., personal favourite has to be the lamb cutlets for the starters... I would happily have 5 just for me! I can't recommend enough, if close by, give it a go

We thought we would give this a try as seen quite a few good reviews. Well, we walked in wasn't even greeted at the door or shown a table to sit at, the atmosphere was very down and depressing. Then the waiter came over wasn't friendly at all, crossed his arms in an intimidating manor and spoke to us quite rude. Then to clearly hear the staff talking about me and my partner after we asked to cancel our food order as we felt very uncomfortable. I'm not one to usually leave a place once I've sat down and ready to eat, but on this occasion unfortunately was the case. Very disappointed

Went for lunch and sat in the conservatory part which was lovely. We enjoyed a 3 course meal. The lobster and crab ravioli was delicious for my main. It was a very generous portion. The desert was amazing. It was a coffee flavoured ice cream on a chocolate biscotti with meringue and the waiter poured coffee over it with a shot of sambuca. It was scrumptious. The service was great and was very relaxing.

Back from Italy wanted an Italian meal, came here, it's just lovely. Friendly staff, good service and spotless. We loved the food. Very reasonably priced and ticks all the boxes. Style of the place is divine. Good seats, comfy, and we could have sat for ages. Keep shining in Royton. A landmark!.
Maggie A — Google review
Absolutely amazing, I always try to look for new places to try when up visiting family in the area . Mazzo is so worth all the hype . I would recommend booking as it's an extremely popular and busy place and for good reasons. Booking online is a simple and easy process with options for floor specificatio, for people who may have trouble with stairs, etc . Everyone we dealt with was fantastic as we had to call twice to increase the reservation and was done so professionally. It's set over two large extensive floors and tastefully decorated, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The service as with the food was outstanding from start to finish 👏. We had the cheesy garlic bread , bruschetta pomodoro, fungi caprino to start and carbonara (the best and hottest iv ever had ) tagliatelle ragu di cinghiale which was wild boar as well as pizza and tuffle fries 🍟 😋. Desserts for those who could manage were classic tiramisu and cheesecake of the day . Now, the pinot blush was something else 😍 and in lush crisp glass, which is a mush for me . Now price wise, I couldn't believe the value standard Italian's price but outstanding food , wine, and service . Service charge was included on the bill and was made very clear to us when paying as we were trying to tip . I would happily drive the 3.5 hours to dine here again . Honestly, I can't find a fault it's been a while since iv left somewhere that had great food and great service in a wonderful setting. Fantastic work, guys. I hope to be back up again soon .

Hidden in a side street is this excellent small family owned restaurant. Sebastian the Italian owner was extremely friendly and hospitable. The food was genuinely the best Italian we had had for a long time (in fact some members of our party even said it surpassed the food they had in Italy). The prices were fair and service was excellent. If you’re in the area it’s absolutely worth grabbing lunch or dinner here, we will definitely be returning when we’re next in Manchester.
Samuel K — Google review
I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and it’s consistently good. There’s nothing flash, just authentic Italian food, made with fresh ingredients, cooked well and at sensible prices. You can have a three course meal here for the price of a main in Manchester. The specials board always has something interesting (frogs legs on occasion!!) but the steaks are my favourite. I usually have the Rossini (see photo) with ‘special peas’ as I’m too fussy to eat the veg that comes with it. Pizzas and pasta great too. Save room for Seb’s tiramisu!

Very nice little pub, was sat down straight away, would Recommend booking though on a Sunday, although we're sat down quick and quickly with drinks, but was slow to order food. Cheese and onion pie was nice but bottom crust was hard. The roast dinner was very nice. Although the roast potatoes are homemade you can tell that they've been frozen.

After quite a few years revisit was well overdue. Place was packed could only get a table in bar area and that’s at 530pm ! Soup was a delight piping hot Potatoe and leek with a gf roll . Mains I had the lamb shoulder with mash parsnips veg and red currant jus. Lady had salmon creamed leaks with veg . Excellent Kaiken Merlot with a port and brandy followed by cheese board . An excellent few hours , great food excellent service and a roaring open fire 🔥 perfect evening . Will be back Update 11/09/24 Food still very good cannot fault it but service gone down a bit … owner as always a perfect gentleman but young waitresses not very attentive and hopefully this point gets to the owner second time now meal disturbed by young children running about obviously linked to staff with one female with a loud voice shouting after them . People don’t want to see that when paying to eat a meal in peace . On the positive food still great but noise in bar with small kids and poor service spoilt the experience.

The warm and cozy atmosphere instantly makes you feel at home, complemented by excellent service from the friendly staff. Diners rave about the delicious homemade soups, with flavors that truly shine—especially the tomato and roast pepper variety.
Visited the Old Original for their Friday Steak night and we were not disappointed. Streaks were cooked to perfection with plenty of accompanying sides. The service was quick and friendly, the overall atmosphere was great just how pubs used to be and still should be.
Paul J — Google review
I recently visited The Old Original for a lovely Sunday meal, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. My partner opted for the Sunday roast, and the roast beef was cooked to perfection — tender and full of flavor, without being pink. I went for the rag pudding with chips and mushy peas, and I must say, the peas were absolutely delicious! (as was the homemade chips and rag pudding). The gravy had a rich, meaty flavor that really enhanced the meal, not bland like some places can be. Plus, the portion sizes were generous, and everything was piping hot when served. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff making sure we had everything we needed. I chose from the fixed menu, and ended the meal with a lovely slice of chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which was a real treat! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. The pub has a warm, inviting atmosphere, complete with a candle on the table, and the rural setting with its lovely views makes it a perfect place to unwind. While the car park is a little on the small side, street parking is available, so it’s not too much of an issue. All in all, I would highly recommend this pub. The food, service, and overall experience were top-notch, and I can’t wait to return soon!

This is a lovely restaurant/pub who are committed to good food at affordable prices. The staff are young, attentive and knowledgeable and give excellent service. My only issue is with the chips which arrived in a bowl and resembled mahogany wood pieces. I enquired whether they should be in this condition and I was told that was the way they cook chips. To me they tasted burnt and overcooked. Upon further request for the reason they are so dark I was told that they are that way as they are Albert rooster red potatoes .A quick check on YouTube suggested this was not the case. Our meal was good , the steaks perfect, just let down by inedible chips.

This was my second visit to your establishment, my first being 13 years ago with my late father-in-law. That visit left a lasting impression: the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, this return visit fell far short of those standards. We were greeted kindly by a staff member, but from there the experience quickly declined. The dining area felt outdated and neglected, the carpet was worn and sticky, the tables and chairs were tired, and the chairs in particular were extremely uncomfortable, offering no support and difficult to move on the carpet. My mother-in-law, though gracious, was clearly uncomfortable throughout. Drinks arrived promptly, but the positive start was overshadowed by the poor quality that followed. The “free starter” with each steak sounded appealing, but the battered mushrooms were so over-coated in thick greasy batter they were heavy, sickly and unappetizing. My daughter ordered the “Old Original Burger,” while the rest of us ordered steaks. For mains priced at £25–£35, we were shocked to see them served with nothing but potato wedges, no vegetables, no garnish, and in my case, the peppercorn sauce was also forgotten. When I requested vegetables, the server seemed confused and reluctant to provide them, although she did. Adding to this, the vinegar bottle contained fruit flies, and service was inattentive. Empty glasses were ignored until we had to ask for attention. The food itself was disappointing: my daughter’s burger was so greasy she couldn’t finish it, my wife’s steak was nearly half gristle and fat, and my mother-in-law was too polite to complain, but it was clear she felt let down compared to her many previous visits with her husband. What should have been a special family meal was marred by careless service, poor presentation, and low-quality food. At the prices charged, this is unacceptable. I raised my concerns directly with the manager, but the response was dismissive. Later, when I went to settle the £125 bill, the staff member asked if everything was okay. I answered honestly that it was not, as I had already complained, but instead of any apology or acknowledgment, she simply processed the payment without further comment. This experience reflected a clear lack of care from the team, leaving us deeply disappointed and to never return.

The famous lamb Henry was great but just too big for me. Couldn't have had a starter or a pud. The fillet steal served rare was amazing, just like butter. Loads of Cauliflower Cheese. Can't wait to go back

Really well done to Owners, Chef and Staff. I was honestly expecting basic pub food and service but this really was top-notch! From food, service and value for money ! It really was a great experience.

Wow what an amazing place, staff were so lovely and gave us excellent customer service, they went above and beyond. Food was exceptional, couldn’t fault any dish. Came well presented and tastes delicious. Will definitely return again. Thanks for a lovely meal out. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely meal at The Three Crowns, Clare was welcoming and attentive, I asked for a vegetarian lasagne which was no longer on the menu but she was more than happy to accommodate my request. The food was homemade and we couldn’t fault a thing. Lovely little pub, was a shame it wasn’t as busy as you’d expect with the quality of food and service. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back. Couldn’t fault the prices either!

Lovely place with nice food. Bobbed in for some lunch and now I'm stuffed. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server/ waiter did his best to accommodate for any extras we asked for.

I did go at after lpm for lunch but there was no lasagne available. I had the chicken pasta dish which was nice but the portion size was too big, I could only manage two thirds and I never usually leave anything! It was very quiet on the day I went, a Saturday.

Amazing experience! The pub/restaurant has been taken over by new management and new chefs. With a new menu and more drinks selections. The staff were lovely. Also the beer garden is perfect to sit in the sun to relax with a climbing frame for the little ones. I will definitely be visiting again. X

Came today for Sunday dinner and it was delicious! The Yorkshire puddings were the best we’ve ever had! We also had the Italian garlic bread to start which was lovely and an Oreo ice cream sundae to finish. Very reasonably priced, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. A great pub, will definitely visit again.

Went for lunch, had jacket potatoes, they had no salad garnish! But didn't tell us until they brought the food out. Smallest jacket potatoes I have ever seen! They gave us two because they where so small...there was hardly any filling on them, and food was cold, absolutely apauled as they always have good reviews. I would never go again! Absolutely 👎 I did complain and got a refund, which I appreciate just unhappy with the food.

The reason I'm giving it this rating is not because of the service the food wasn't good everything was perfect except the music was so loud couldn't hear the person I was sitting next to I thought it was on those night clubs from back in the day shame!, the word Ambience maybe management needs to research that.

Ordered food from here today. I had such high expectations from this place. Honestly so dissatisfied. 1. Lamb tikka biryani : I think this was like their take on a lamb tikka biryani cause it didn’t taste like an authentic tikka biryani. This may just be personal opinion. 2. Chappati : Absolutely dry and chewy, food arrived hot so you’d expect the chappati to not get so rubbery. 3. Garlic Naan : same thing as the chappati . One of the worst naans I’ve had in my life. 4. Gobhi aalo : by far the simplest thing to make, preparation was good but there was no cauliflower couple of strands. I had to check if I hadn’t ordered just aalo sabzi lol. 5. Raita : it was sour. Nothing else to say. I’ve added pictures on Uber eats sadly didn’t take many on my phone. The foods looks good anyway it’s the taste that doesn’t make up for it. I have to say with a reputation like this I have never been so disappointed.
Sanvitti S — Google review
The food was disappointing. I ordered lamb, but they served me chicken instead. The cheesecake was still frozen in the middle, yet they thought it was acceptable to serve. To top it off, the waiter could have passed the naan bread from the left of the table but instead stretched over my shoulder, dropping it onto my food. After such a bad experience, I felt completely ripped off when paying the bill. I definitely won’t be coming back.

Wrigley Claydon Solicitors had the pleasure of attending Indish Restaurant for a business meeting followed by a meal. Our sincere thanks to the entire team for their outstanding hospitality.

We went to the Indish for a family birthday meal. My food was served cold after a long wait. I do like like my food cold at all, but I did not complain due not wanting to upset family members. Would not go again after a very disappointing meal and poor service from start to finish. First and last time, I am afraid.

What a great place to go and eat a curry. Six of us went (we had booked) and it was our first time. All I can say is wow - amazing staff, food and atmosphere. We were not sure what to expect as non of us had been before ( I live in Scotland so very far from home). Choice of drinks both alcoholic and nonalcoholic were great. Food was outstanding and staff were so attentive we didn’t ever need to find anybody, yet you were not pressured either. I will most definitely go again when I’m in the area again. Such a delight.

Great meal, went early but it was still busy (after a while -see photo). Had the Chicken Afghani with a nan (as advised on menu) which was great, everyone else in group enjoyed their meals too. Service was very good no waiting too long between courses. Highly recommended. Note: prices have increased a couple of pounds per meal from on-line menu.

My partner & I visited for the first time on Saturday night (9pm). We rang to reserve a few hours before & we’re told it wasn’t necessary. When we arrived, the venue was 3/4 empty. There’s a large function room to the right as you walk in, which was blasting party tunes. You could hear this in the restaurant & as a result, the Asian background music was louder than usual, so conversation was tricky. (1* off the atmosphere for this). Once seated, we were impressed at how clean the restaurant was. There are glass chandeliers and even they were gleaming. The restaurant menu is packed with options & the friendly waiter was happy to make recommendations. He said they’d happily make something not on the menu if requested too. (Within reason). In the end, my partner opted for the Chicken Tikka Chilli Fry to start, a chicken bhuna & a plain naan. I chose onion bhaji, a veggie rogan Josh & a garlic naan. We shared boiled rice & chips. The food was delicious & all tasted freshly made. Aside from a small-ish sized portion of chips, all of the portions were generous. We had a strawberry & lime Kopperberg each & a jug of water. The total cost was £56. We will definitely be back.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Airport
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is located in a city known for its rich history and cultural significance. The airport offers a convenient gateway to explore the birthplace of The Beatles and home to renowned football clubs. Visitors can enjoy a quintessential British gastropub experience at The Monro, which features a charming courtyard and an inviting atmosphere. In addition to exploring the city's vibrant arts and culture scene, travelers can indulge in diverse dining experiences, from dockside eateries to fine-dining restaurants.
Great airport! It’s a small one terminal airport so if you land there, you’re out very quickly with clear signage about how to get away. Leaving is super nice as it’s mainly Ryanair and Easyjet. There’s a Greggs before you enter the secured area and it’s quite cheap compared to after security. Security was busier than I expected for such a small airport but it was fast, highly efficient (nothing had to be taken out of the bag and barely any bags got pulled out) and everyone was courteous and friendly, very welcoming! Gates are announced close to departure which I don’t like and there’s a small waiting area with some food options in the secured area. WiFi wasn’t strong enough for me to still have it in the gate area 3 and above. Overall, really enjoyed that airport!
PheNom603 — Google review
This is my first time flying from Liverpool airport, and I must say, it is far less stressful than a certain other airport...beginning with M! Nice, small terminal. Check in with Jet2 was quick and easy, as was security control.
Small G — Google review
Liverpool Airport is small but quite modern. If you’re feeling hungry, I’d recommend grabbing a coffee or a drink at Greggs. The bag checks are done quickly – you don’t need to take things out – and the whole security process is quite high-tech. Do arrive early though, as they tend to have fewer staff around lunchtime, so things can slow down a bit. Bring a jacket – you have to walk outside to get to the plane and it’s often quite chilly with the wind, though it doesn’t take long. Overall, my experience at Liverpool Airport has been a good one – the staff are friendly and everything runs smoothly
IGOR — Google review
Never flown from Liverpool before. It was easy to get to. The meet and greet was straightforward and easy with a short walk to the terminal. Checking in the bags and security were quick and efficient. Our plane left on time. A great experience going and coming back. So much more pleasant than the bigger airports I've used.
Laura R — Google review
Several free water refills (before and after security) would be great. Very limited options to eat or drink pre-security. If you have check-in luggage you must stay in pre-security area for several hours for any connecting flight. Apparently you can drop off your luggage 3 hours until departure time.

Great efficient airport. Much much more organised than Manchester. Simple layout. One floor check ins and exit and top floor gates. Plenty of choice. Starbucks burger king etc. Smoking area easy access. Large selection of duty free. Good security

Ample parking right next to arrivals/ departures - pricey of course at 12 pounds for an hour's stay! Quiet and with a few shops and coffee places available.

Manchester Airport

International airport
Airport
Manchester Airport (MAN) is a bustling 3-terminal airport with national rail connections and flights to various destinations worldwide. It offers a range of facilities including shops, self-check-in kiosks, and parking spaces, although parking can be pricey. The airport provides quick check-in procedures and an array of dining and shopping options. While it may lack some staff for inquiries, the new Terminal 3 has improved convenience and reduced queues compared to other terminals.
Passport control has been massively improved since my last international trip a few years ago. The flight arrived early, we got through passport control super quick and my baggage only took 15-20 mins to show up on the carousel. Express pickup area was convenient and made it easy to get the Uber.
Baz P — Google review
It was a great Airport especially Terminal 2! The interior design was great and it was fascinating to be there. The only problem is that when I was collecting my luggage they would only send out 2-3 luggage every few minutes or so and that nearly made me miss my train! Great experience though.
Fabio S — Google review
Came on a train four hours before the flight so no rush. I had to walk to Terminal 3 but the signs were clearly displayed so it was easy to follow. Used toilets twice and although both were reasonably clean, it was smelling really bad in one of them. Waiting area after the security check was packed, so I had to wander for a few minutes to find a seat with enough personal space around me. Plenty of places to eat and drink.
Vintage K — Google review
Arrived at Manchester Airport with time to spare — parking was easy to find and clearly signed. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were helpful and polite. Security took around 20 minutes, which felt reasonable for a busy weekday morning. Once through, Terminal 2 was bright, clean, and full of decent food and coffee spots. Grabbed a quick bite and found plenty of seating near the gate. Boarding was well-organised, and staff kept things moving without fuss. Overall, a solid travel experience — efficient, comfortable, and much improved from a few years ago. Just arrive early, especially during peak times, and you’ll be fine.
Abdullah A — Google review
I've been here 4 times, and it's been a good, straightforward journey getting to and from the gates. My favourite terminal has to be T2 as it has a good variety of shops and the gates aren't too far away.
Connor C — Google review
Well what a change in Terminal 2 now the renovations are just about complete. It no longer feels like Luton airport in the 1970s. Lovely modern spacious ambience, fast efficient security, clean and tidy with a fast train link. Great shopping and eating too. What more could you ask for.
Martin F — Google review
It’s a good airport. Modern. Well appointed. Good facilities and amenities. Not much in departures before security. There is a WH Smith and a Starbucks. Protip: nowhere to sit in departures really so might not want to arrive too early. Can sit on the cement blocks outside if the weathers ok. After security the Duty Free is epic. The eatery options decent. Seating options are significantly better. Adequate. Another Protip: Boots is a really great store in my experience for travel amenities and snacks. Good variety of options and so many of the things you may be looking for at a reasonable price.
Kris T — Google review
Manchester Airport is a very smooth, very well organised airport. Being one of the busiest airports in the UK, it's absolutely amazing. There's a lot of car parking by the airport and it's a very affordable price. Manchester Airport has a humongous selection, and 3 terminals make it spread out, and the ATC knows how to make sure the runways are running smoothly. Absolutely amazing airport, and I would highly recommend it. It's also got a great planespotting place with a British Airways Concorde on show!. P.S. : The planespotting area costs £5 for entry, but it's worth it.

Leeds Bradford Airport

Airport
Leeds Bradford Airport is an international airport conveniently served by buses from Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, and other regional points. It's located near major roads such as the M6, A66, A1, A65, and A59. The airport offers clean facilities with friendly staff and a smooth check-in process. There are various shops and dining options available in the terminal. Although it's a small airport with limited destinations, it provides efficient services for travelers.
The six eight one lounge Seen a lot of negative reviews regarding the new lounge, so was apprehensive when I had already booked it. But honestly me and my dad had no issues, the food was really nice and could have 4 alcoholic drinks each, which for us is plenty before a flight, was the view the best ?? Probably not, and the price ?? Also maybe not, but when is stepped out to go to the gate and I saw how busy the airport was I was happy to have been in the lounge where it was quieter, plenty of seating and not crowded, so yes I would probably book the facility again.
Charlotte R — Google review
Contrary to the other reviews we had a solid experience flying out from this airport, where security lines were easy to find from the staff's guidance! Did not take long and trays go through the conveyor belts quickly, getting around the airport areas is quick on escalators and stairs. Departure boards kept us updated for flight status, waiting areas have plenty of seating and points to charge our phones. Walkway to the flight boarding has lots of windows giving views to outside and shuttle bus took us efficiently to our flight, one problem is the Gregg's is not in the airport so be aware you need to go there pre-security.
K. P — Google review
I have flown from Leeds a couple of times and always found it ok, but I was there today to pick my daughter and her friend up. There is no arrivals lounge. There is currently a massive renovation going on. The arrivals pick up area is outside next to a dirty grotty smoking shelter. There is no way to access any information about the arrivals. No information screens, no staff, no shelter and no views of the planes so no way to know if the flight has arrived. There is one hour free parking, but if you go over that hour it's a £68 charge. I almost left to go and move the car to avoid the astronomic charge. Stood in the rain for 30 mins waiting with my younger daughter. Even the smoking shelter had a missing roof. So anyone going to pick up a family member or friend. Wrap up warm, take an umbrella and check the flight times on your phone.
Kate A — Google review
Getting to this airport already felt unusual. The road leading there is a small country lane, and for much of the drive I honestly thought I was heading to the wrong place. The airport appears suddenly, almost out of nowhere, which already gives a strange first impression. Once I arrived, things only became more chaotic. I travel often, and I have never experienced having to wait outside the airport just to get inside the building. The queue lasted more than an hour, which is completely unacceptable for any airport. Passengers with larger luggage had it even worse, because they had to queue twice: first to drop off their big suitcase, and then again to pass through the gates. There was also no clear organisation between priority and non-priority passengers. Everyone was mixed together in the same lines, so paying extra for priority meant nothing at all. The only positive part of my experience was a member of staff who tried to help people with flights leaving soon by moving them ahead in the queue. That effort was appreciated, but it was not enough to make up for the overall mess. Inside, the airport was no better. It felt dirty, neglected, and poorly managed. Fortunately, the weather was good that day, because standing outside in the rain or in strong heat for over an hour would have been unbearable. Overall, the experience was stressful, disorganised, and far below the standards travellers should expect. This airport leaves a very negative impression from start to finish.

Review for the new 681 Lounge. We made use of the old 1432 Runway Lounge on many occasions and were excited to try the new offering. Having paid £54 each a few months previously we were disappointed to be offered a price of £39 by email 22 hours before departure. Of course we could not cancel the booking. On to the lounge… The drink offering is worse. You are restricted in what drinks you can get, and how many. The food offering is better, very nice buffet style, but no table service. The runway view is an absolute joke. Instead of watching the airport you get a view of the car park (see photo) All in all, a worse service for a higher price. BTW after complaining LBA did refund the difference in price
David H — Google review
One of the more popular airports in the North of England, but still feels quite small and occasionally disorganised—especially during busy times. Security queues can be long, with only two lanes operating unless you’ve booked fast track. It’s particularly chaotic when multiple flights are checking in at once. That said, it’s convenient and easy to get to, and much simpler than going all the way to Manchester. The meet-and-greet zone is right by the entrance, but it’s steep at £7 just to stop for a couple of minutes. There’s a free one-hour parking option further away, which is fine if you’re mobile, but may not suit everyone. The car rental centre is about a 10-minute walk, though there is a shuttle bus—I usually walk through the car parks unless it’s raining. They’re currently expanding the terminal with a new section that includes restaurants and lounges (including a Burger King), which is a nice improvement. All in all, not the most polished airport experience, but it’s local and convenient for me, and I’d still choose it over Manchester. Flying out of London is smoother overall—but for northern travel, LBA does the job.
Samantha G — Google review
There are no signs in regards carrying liquids through to airside. When you hit security (what a farce), there's only one lane open. Security told us, even though they have the new scanners, they are no longer allowed to use them to their full extent. Despite the Web page saying different This was the only human interaction we had. So sad everything is automated. We did manage to find a free washer fountain. Just before duty free. There is a lot of construction going on.
Nick L — Google review
New terminal open but only two new eateries. One is the size of a football stadium! They could have added more variety. And they sell the same food as the other food places. If you like burgers for starter, burgers for main and burgers for dessert you are sorted. If you don't like burgers, hard times......
