Hampton Court Palace is a magnificent historic site full of Tudor charm and rich history. The gardens are stunning and perfect for a leisurely walk. The palace interiors are grand, showcasing beautiful architecture and fascinating exhibitions. Staff are mostly helpful, though some areas could be improved for visitor engagement. The audio guide enhances the experience. A great day out for history lovers and families alike, though ticket prices are a bit steep

This is a great place to have a walk around, the only downside was school parties, but it wasn't too bad! There are lots of history in this place and a lot on show! We went all round the inside! Lots of artifacts dating from Henry VIII!! Even walking round the very large kitchens of Henry VIII's time was lovely to see!! Very interesting!! We will be back again to explore the gardens next time!! The staff are very knowledgeable too if you want to ask any questions!! You can also get an audio tour with headphones or wait for a guide!

Was able to visit this vast historic ground that was the Palace of King Henry Vlll some 500yrs ago. Took pictures of the ongoing renovations, the river canal with pier, the gardens Hampton Court Palace, located on the River Thames in southwest London, is one of England’s most famous royal palaces with a rich and complex history: Early History: Built in 1514 by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, the powerful chief minister to King Henry VIII. Wolsey transformed the site into a lavish Renaissance palace, but as he fell out of favor with the king, he gifted it to Henry VIII in 1528 to avoid disgrace. Tudor Era: Henry VIII greatly expanded the palace, making it one of his main residences. He added the Great Hall, Tudor kitchens, and royal apartments. It was a favorite residence of his and played host to numerous important events, including marriages, births, and political dealings. Stuart Period: Under James I and Charles I, the palace remained a royal residence. Charles I was imprisoned at Hampton Court briefly before his execution in 1649. Baroque Transformation: In the late 1600s, William III and Mary II commissioned architect Sir Christopher Wren to modernize the palace in the Baroque style, intending to rival Versailles. Much of the Tudor palace was replaced, but the project was never fully completed, leaving a unique blend of Tudor and Baroque architecture. It’s a great day out with a lot to see and do, however it was a little lacking especially when considering value for money. We went during Halloween and a lot of effort was made for that which was great. The cafes served good food was a good selection but was on the pricey side! Facilities were good and staff were friendly and helpful. They have. Car park but you have to get there early, we just kissed out but there is car parking at the train station just over the bridge.

Really disappointed in this whole experience. We went on a Friday, it was pretty busy but not entirely unexpected. We felt like there was a lot of emphasis put on Henry VIII's palace, however, there seemed little reference to him living there overall. There wasn't any atmosphere and a lot of rooms were empty - it just looked quite empty overall. It was also extremely hot inside, and the lack of airflow was stifling. We thought it would be a loy more regal and extravagant than what was on offer. We were extremely disappointed to learn that the banqueting hall and other areas are currently closed to the public. Bearing in mind our tickets were £80.00 for 3 adults, we didn't feel that we got overall value for money. The gift shop was much of a muchness, usual expensive crap made in China. The cafe was ridiculously expensive for the quality of food on offer, and flies were crawling all over the food on display which had not been covered up. The vegetable patch and gardens were fabulous and the highlight of the day, the exterior architecture is fabulous aside from that, thoroughly disappointed. The staff were also grumpy and not very forthcoming in sharing and tips or highlights, and we were made to feel an inconvenience for asking questions.

This was my first visit to Hampton Court Palace and if I'm ever in the area again it won't be my last. Make sure you set aside the full day to make sure you see everything. There is do much to do, see, read and eat. The history behind this Palace takes you back centuries. The staff are always willing to answer any questions you may have. I would advise you to book your tickets in advance.

Wonderful day. You can spend anywhere between 2 and 6 hours and on my third visit I spent the latter, and finally appreciated every corner! The palace is good, and the gardens are fantastic. Lots of incredible art too, including two from Caravaggio, 12 or so just from Canaletto, then Rembrandt, Gentileschi, Mantegna, Holbein, and many more!

We decided to celebrate completing the Hampton Court 10k today with an ice cream. The owner was so lovely and chatty. We all agreed this is the best ice cream we had eaten since our childhood! Definitely try it if you get the chance.

Been working at Hampton court recently, always look forward to one of these ice creams at the end of the day. Blinding ice cream and lovely fella who runs it was bringing me out bottles of water through out the day, can’t recommend this place enough and very good location if you’re off to Hampton court

Located on the Hampton Court side of the bridge this is the little green and cream ice cream stall that sells traditional Italian ice cream. The best soft ice cream I have had in a long one time, it’s rich and creamy. Served in tubs and the standard cones which were crisp and crunchy. The toppings are also great, portions are big so great value and the best customer service. Other standard ice lollies are sold. Great guy serving (Marco) who has a lovely friendly personality for a vendor. Please support this business and you won't be disappointed. This is by far the best ice cream in Hampton Court.

Can’t wait till summer when this place opens up for ice cream… whenever we can after a lunch out we drive to Hampton Court for the soft whippy ice cream on waffle cone and stroll down the side of river Thames. Just heavenly 😍

Not a very spectacular looking bridge but the location is. It’s right close to Hampton Court Palace that make it an important historical site.

The soft ice cream there is so good, I’m always passing by so just have to get one. Such friendly service nothing is too much trouble. One of Hampton courts gems for sure.

Good views downstream and of the Palace Grade II Listed and the fourth bridge spanning the Thames approximately here.

There is a lovely hidden walk in parlour cupboard. When I looked inside I saw that on the second shelf there was a circle of 46 spoons and in the middle an enigmatic piece of cardboard folded in two, on opening it it had two words Tall Paul. A friend told me he is a known London disc jockey

It's a Small Part on the side of the Themes river is a small canal branch coming from the river making like a delta shaped Island or Simi Ireland but they part itself is not very spiritual and does not have much activities or entertainment even there is no cafe seen inside

Lovely playground with plenty of space to run, climb and create magical games. My children love the waterplay and sand as well. There is a little cafe which has a reasonable menu mainly snacks & sandwiches. You have a fixed time slot of approx 1.5 hours to avoid overstaying and overcrowding.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 Fun for kids! The Magic Garden is a great play area with castles, slides, tunnels, and a water fountain where kids can splash around. There’s also a small café and lots of benches for parents to relax. You get 1 hour of playtime, but can come back after another hour, which is fair as it can get busy. Everything is clean and safe, and the staff are helpful. Perfect spot for kids to burn off energy during a visit to the palace!

Easily the favorite of our kids. Beware it does have a very fun water feature for kids to play in. Smart parents dressed the kids in rains boots and bottoms. Our kids went home with wet clothes. You get an hour and change to play before they ask you to move on. Recommend getting there before lunch as there was no line at 11:30 when we went and a long queue when we left. Good place for a picnic lunch.

A great playground for children. You can jump on puddles or lie down. There is a wet area where children can cool off in the heat. Don't forget to bring dry clothes or a towel.

My daughter, 11 yes old, thoroughly enjoyed it - slides, towers to climb et . Good security - no adults allowed in without a child. Timed sessions - 2 hours. Water features for the children to play in. A place to buy and sit with a coffee for the adults.

Setting is wonderful over looking the Thames on a wonderful sunny day . Difficult to beat Food was good . The green salad was too salty. I was looking for a mixed salad or even a green salad and a tomato and onion salad but told no this couldn't be done. Good beer. Menu was a good size and well printed. Service was good but on recall of what was ordered, it was wrong at least twice.. We were only 2 people Toilets were nice and clean Web page could do with sorting it looks good but lack content No one answers the phones

We had a lovely meal here whilst staying at The Mitre - the staff were great (don’t remember any names but it was 23rd July evening - two women who were super attentive, friendly & helpful!) It was Steak night so we had two ribeyes with chips & the broccoli as sides - all delicious! We also had the prawns to start with some bread - prawns were great but the bread could have been a bit fresher and the slices were very thin. We shared a pavlova for dessert plus a little surprise ‘happy birthday’ cake for me that my partner secretly asked for which was a nice touch!🥰 Overall a really lovely meal - our expectations weren’t that high after reading some of the reviews here but we really enjoyed our experience. Finished off with a cocktail down by the water!

We went for our second anniversary, having had our wedding reception there in 2023. The staff were incredibly nice, service was great and we had a three delicious courses each. The venue is just as lovely as we remember and we’d recommend the 1665 Brasserie highly.

We came to 1665 Brasserie at The Mitre to celebrate our anniversary and had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent and the setting beautiful - but what truly stood out was the outstanding service from Andrew. He was warm, attentive, and made our afternoon feel really special. Highly recommend!

The food was okay, but I have eaten better in other places. Also, we had to wait 45 minutes for the servers to come and ask what we wanted to order. However, the food came out within 15 minutes- that being the cauliflower popcorn and the two fish and chips. The chips were hot, crispy, and tasty and the mushy peas were delicious. The fish was okay but I have had better elsewhere. The tartar sauce was very tasty and felt almost homemade and then the curry sauce was nice aswell- but only one thing was that it says three sauces on the menu will come with the dish but only two came. The cauliflower popcorn was also delicious, with it being very crispy and having -for me- an Asian spin on it with its use of sauces.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Definitely on the pricier side but worth it for the view and service. Went for my birthday and they gave me a free brownie plate for pudding. The food was delicious. We got nibbles as starters and I would say I’d miss out on them next time.

Excellent meal in a unique place with fantastic views to the river. We visited for my wife's birthday and can confortably day it was a unique experience, one that we will cherish for years to come. Thank you.

A lovely family run Italian restaurant. With a great variety of food choices and welcoming friendly staff who were so attentive. The food did not disappoint, we throughly enjoyed! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

I’m very delighted to say that recently I came with my lovely husband, we had a wonderful dinner together and spend cosy lovely time enjoying the views and the most important the food was served with delicate care, beautiful presentation and excellent quality of food, the fish and meet I can say is totally fresh and delicious! I’m very pleased which I highly recommend to come over.

Came today for my Father’s Day lunch. A family restaurant offering traditional Italian food, with a view of Bushy Park.

Had such a great meal here. Authentic Italian food, you can tell it’s family-run with how much care goes into everything. The waitress honestly couldn’t do enough for us, she was so friendly and attentive the whole time. Definitely coming back!

Stopped off here for a spot of lunch, beautiful setting with great food. We even had a front row seat to the wildlife! Highly recommended if you're in the area!

We came here for my Dad's birthday and had a brilliant time. Everyone was really happy with their food, particular the carbonara and tiramisu (and we're quite a hard to please bunch when it comes to Italian!) The service was really friendly, lovely atmosphere - wasn't too loud which I always look for as two members of my family are hard of hearing. Would definitely recommend and come here again!

Absolutely lovely fish and chips. The fish was freshly cooked. It wasn't greasy or bland. It was one of the best fish and chips I've had. The decor wasn't great but do not let that put you off. The chips where really tasty and the mushy peas perfect. I would highly recommend 👌 the price was reasonable for fish, chips, mushy peas and a can of fanta £13.50

Soon as I walked in I was ignored as the staff were just stood there on their personal phones just scrolling/texting… (thought give them benefit of the doubt, may have been quiet) after standing there for 3 minutes I said, ‘Excuse me, can I get some large chips please?’ One staff member passed me on to the other as was clearly too busy texting… got served and got charged £4 for this pathetic attempt of a large portion! 😂 If you want a proper place to eat, I’d recommend Seahorse on St Marks Road in Surbiton 👍

Carp and trout would have me completely sold on their Fish and Chips, Except for: The charges of the Mayos, Ketchup, and Tartar sauces, .50p for one, to me steep in price, .25p would be much better. Mashy peas, very small portion. Other than this, Excellent Fish and Chips !, and nice portion size as well Excellent !

We were very hungry after visiting the palace and happened to be 100% right with the decision to eat at this place. The portion was big, the food was very tasty, they cooked it fast and were super friendly to us. Well the interior is quite dull. It wouldn’t be the best place to propose a marriage for example. But a quick snack and a lovely talk with the staff is guaranteed. Thank you very much 😊❤️

The shop was closing as we arrived and when my partner saw rock on the menu we were very happy. There was none ready or prepared but the staff member went to prepare some and allowed us to eat in although passed his home time. Excellent customer service and really tasty food. A decent fish and chips place. Ordered via Uber eats and service was fairly quick. Everything cooked well but just not as tasty as others I've tried nearby. It's above average so better than the usual.

Came in after a visit to Hampton Court Palace. Great selection of wine by the glass, as well as draught beer. Nice variety of seating areas inside and outside. We were not planning to eat but the daily made menu had some delicious options so we shared a few starters, the gnocchi and the risotto. Portions were good, and quality was excellent! We enjoyed the quality of food and the atmosphere so much we have booked in for Sunday roast here.

Nice pub with nice food. Nothing spectacular or that stood out to me. I'd recommend if you're in the area, for instance visiting Hampton Court because it's directly opposite, but otherwise I wouldn't say it's worst a particular trip. There's an indoor and outdoor area to sit in, and both are lovely, so good regardless of the weather. The outdoor area has heaters so it's nice most of the year.

The Mute Swan, situated opposite Hampton Court Palace is a fabulous venue offering a wide variety of high quality food and drinks in chic and quintessentially British surroundings. Food wise, they serve all the staples plus some divine creations, in particular would recommend the pan fried chicken with gnocchi, which is sublime and wouldn't be out of place served to whatever deity you happen to believe in. The selection of wines is impressive, not to mention the real ales. The upstairs dining area is a must seat, and Steve who looked after us was absolutely amazing, attentive, thoughtful and considerate and a big part of the reason we will be back again very soon.

Huge, delicious portions, killer drinks, very cool decor and lovely staff. This establishment is the perfect place to either fuel up before some sightseeing, or just have a fun date night in. Would absolutely love to return while on my next London trip!

Bushy Park is an absolutely fantastic place to visit! One of the highlights was seeing the deer with their impressive antlers roaming freely throughout the park. Watching these beautiful animals in such a natural setting was magical—especially during the rutting season, when you can sometimes catch stags clashing antlers. The park’s gardens are stunning, with different areas for relaxing walks and exploring gorgeous flowers and trees. Each section has its own charm, from peaceful woodland paths to vibrant clusters of blossoms. The Chestnut Avenue and the Diana Fountain are particularly memorable spots. I also loved the serene ponds, where it’s easy to spot fish and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. The sound of water and clear views of fish swimming add so much to the experience, making the park feel like a real escape from the city. Bushy Park is ideal for nature lovers, families, or anyone looking to unwind in beautiful surroundings. The combination of free-roaming wildlife, varied landscapes, and relaxing water features makes every visit a delight. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience being able to photograph the rut. The paths are well maintained and easy plentiful parking at the Diana Fountain car park during the week. A good variety of birds to be seen from woodpeckers to heron and swans. The cafe is easily accessible for little legs, wheelchair users and the many photographers hoping to capture that once in a lifetime shot. Only one concern is that there is a need for the warning g signs to be written in foreign languages as these are wild animals and people endanger themselves by not upholding the required 50m distance as they try to capture close up shots with their phones.

Great park next to Hampton Court. I've never been through the park before, but have visited Hampton Court several times. The dear are more approachable than the ones in Richmond Park, and the ponds are nice.

What a great place. Parking is free but they ask for a donation for the upkeep which I happily paid. The scenic walks are beautiful with deer roaming around the grounds. A big adventure playground for the children to play and lots of areas to picnic. A small cafe with seating is also there which is great for a coffee and a stroll.

A must visit place for nature lovers. Smaller than Richmond park so you are guaranteed to see the deer. Garden in the park and water garden are worth seeing too. Beautiful green area in the city.

Such a beautiful park. Went there at the end of the mating season, so got to see a lot stags and deers. Very romantic as well if you want to take your partner.

Awesome place

If you going to find some good vintage jewellery and trinkets etc this is your place. However, If you enjoy being within an environment where the staff are nothing but rude and not at all warming this is ALSO your place. The people that work here is not a reflection at all of the Hampton Court High Street. I can redirect you to Elle Amour, the loveliest shop assistant, Merkhet and Bridge Road Antiques. All these shops have both amazing finds and lovely staff.

This place is a treasure! Far above other shops and pleasant to shop! They have many individual sellers of quality items and friendly help to choose the perfect things! I found several gorgeous antique Victorian and Arts&Crafts jewelry pieces, and historic items. Other vendors had beautiful pieces for home decoration and architectural items. Lots of fantastic vintage costume jewelry! I found everything I needed here! Shout out to Andrea (fantastic selection in her area with her expertise), Ray (amazing suggestions for a hard to buy for person!), and Lynn (who made buying effortless)!

I went into the emporium with some old medals and jewellery to possibly sell the items. The lady that deals with buying jewellery, well I can honestly say I’ve never met anyone with such a rude manor and attitude. Was shocked will never go here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone to go in here either! If I could I wouldn’t even leave 1 star. Shame as no need to speak to anybody the way she does for no reason, shouldn’t be working with the general public.

Staff taking calls would benefit from customer service training. I made an enquiry a regarding whether they knew anyone who would be interested some China I would like to sell & was met with disinterest. I was advised to bring an example in or photographs with no appreciation of where I would be coming from. It appears they have no email address that would facilitate dealing with my enquiry.

The Hampton Court Emporium is an interesting find in East Molesey. I think it may have a few curators that set up shop there, a shared space. PRO: - A LOT of items to intrigue! - A lot of varied jewelry - Antique finds - Rare collectibles - A shop you can really linger in, you can easily be here half the day CON: - Not a lot of clothing - A bit daunting when you see how many items are here - Many breakables, walk with care - Not all the items are rare collectible, keep that in mind when deciding if the price is worth it. SUMMARY: I think it’s worth it to pop in here to take a look. You may find treasure you want to take home. But this is not a quick walk through. Take your time and go through the aisle, you’ll need 20 minutes minimum to walk through and at least 10 mins each area to get the treasures!

There are loads of nice stuff and friendly staff there. My wife was excited to see around the place as she likes antiques and nice second hand plates and glasses for drinks. We’d definitely go back to see and buy some stuff once we buy a property.

Wow what a brilliant little shop! I popped in to Green and Lovely and was amazed by the selection that was on offer. As you walk in you can smell the fresh bread and all of the different kinds of cheese. I was greeted with a polite smile and was offered lots of advice on cheese (which I knew minimal about). Paul who owns the shop took time to ask me questions about what cheese I like and which ones he could recommend for me whilst offering testers. I came out of the store with 2 different types of cheese, a gorgeous almond croissant and a lemon marmalade (all at a reasonable price). All of the produce is local and they were so passionate about this. I can’t wait to go back in again!! #shoplocal

I visited here yesterday for the first time and it's a wonderful store. The owner, Paul, is really passionate about sourcing top top quality produce. I bought a few cheeses and a couple other things and they are all delicious! I would definitely recommend a visit!

The new Green & Lovely store in Bridge Rd is a fabulous addition to the range of shops available at Hampton Court. On my visit, Paul talked me through the range of cheeses available on my visit, offered samples to try and couldn’t have been more helpful in helping me select my purchases. The interior of the shop is delightful and there has been so much attention to detail in dressing the windows. They look beautiful! I have to return as I think there is a yummy custard tart with my name on it waiting for me 😋

The atmosphere & service was good - but the food lacked any huge amount of flavour; okay is probably the word I’d use.

The food is amazing, we had the mezze. The beef and the chicken were so tender and juicy, let alone for the rest of the food accompanying this delicious feast! The tea and the coffee were delicious!!! The staff were so attentive and ready to help in any way possible! 100% recommend it!! You must come by and try this amazing restaurant!

We came here on Thursday. We arrived at Hampton Court station around noon. On our way to Hampton Court Palace. We were a bit hungry so we found this place, we saw the lunch menu sign outside. It was quite a good deal. One course is £9.8, two courses is £12.8. We went in and checked the menu. It looked quite standard, so we choose to eat here. The restaurant manager let us seat whatever we wanted. The waiting staff is very kind and friendly. The food is mainly Turkish food and there are some pasta and pizza dishes. We ordered pesto penn and meat wrap. The portion is good enough. The pesto penn is refreshing and herby. The meat wrap is also juicy but the meat is slightly chewy. We got very full up after the meal! The outdoor seating area is very close to the main role. Although no service charge, the service was very good.

A vibrant place of Turkish food. I will start with the ambiance, It is quite a happening place. When we were there it was all packed. Beautiful decoration in the restaurant. 5 star for the vibe. Staff was helpful and attentive. Thank you for your service. Now let's come to the food - 4 Star for the food as the Penne arrabbiata that we order was having a distinct smell of something and was spicy but not seasoned well. Burger was tasteless. Although fries was good and crispy. 5 star for fries but 3 for burger. Tabuleh was good. Mixed grill platter was good as well. So overall it was a mixed experience. Except food Everything was okay. They have a kind of promotion going on where they are giving discount vouchers for the next visit. So you can and discover this restaurant.

We really enjoyed the dinner here. We tried tomato 🍅 with prawn 🦐 hot start. And try to taste all grill chose the mixed grill. Good grill stuff. Recommend for lamp chops!!! Very nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Price is be high but they do take way discount :) we will come back !

A great dining experience! The restaurant had a lovely ambiance with a welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the service was equally commendable. The falafel, in particular, stood out — they were incredibly fresh and soft. The rest of the dishes were just as good, making the entire meal enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Mezzet in East Mosley! 🌟 The staff are incredibly kind and friendly 😊, and the place is always clean and well-kept 🧼✨. Their delivery service is prompt and reliable 🚗💨, and ordering is simple 📲. We had the mixed grill, and it was cooked to perfection 🔥🥩 – full of flavour and perfectly done. Slightly pricey for what it is and the location. Highly recommend for both dine-in and delivery! 👍🍽️

Utterly superb. We had the Fixed Menu and the combination of starters was just sublime. There's hummus and there's Mezzet hummus. Big calamaris . Really tasty spicy sausage. The whole menu was too much which the owner warned us so we landed up taking the meat mains home . Absolutely will go again. A diamond find

Really enjoyed my evening here , food was great , my wife and I chose 4 starters all of which were great but the fig humus and the baked cod were exceptional. We chose not to have a main but the portions were good so 4 starters followed by dessert was more than adequate. Service was great and atmosphere was relaxed. Oh and reasonable pricing to!!

Wonderful restaurant not far from Hampton Court Palace and station. The place is a mix of Lebanese with Galician tapas and surprisingly it works quite well. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Food was top quality and wine list was fantastic. Will return.

Nice and clean restaurant with fresh ingredients . I found the dishes overpriced compared to other Mediterranean restaurants . The vegetables moussaka was presented more as a “ratatouille” then a proper moussaka. The grill was in a small plate (to look bigger maybe?!?) and difficult to eat. The service was good.

Second visit with family today, service and cuisine maintained, tradition Italian restaurant, worth visiting. Friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, great value for money, quality ingredients providing great tasty food.

Basic Italian joint in Hampton Court village with an 80s vibe to it (in a good way). Good food (apart from the stale bread and week chili oil) - go for the zucchini friti, keen staff, quick service and reasonable price. Will be back again but no rush.

Nice little cafe with a lot of character. The menu was slightly odd because there was no details about what the breakfast contained. When we ordered, we also weren't asked how we liked our eggs cooked etc. I'm sure we could have asked, but it was odd that the information wasn't readily available. The food tasted nice, although we both felt as though we needed some sauce. The beans were homemade and therefore less saucy than Heinz. There were no condiments offered. Again, we possibly could have asked, but it is normally just provided.

Cute hidden away cafe that I stumbled upon accidentally but very glad I did. Great Colombian coffee (and music!) and had a smoked salmon & cream cheese Bagel. Great vibe, comfortable and welcoming. Will spread the word and come again!

The Oats Latte was a little strong for my taste but good and the lemon drizzle cake is the best that I have ever had - lemony enough, subtle sweetness and moist. Would love to try their lunch menu sometime.

Hands down the best cappuccino in the UK. I've been trying a long time to get such a brew here and stumbled across this place purely by chance. It's closer than a trip to Italy and just as good.

The surprise nice weather in October made me fancy a visit to Bushy park. I googled places to eat, and Canela Cafe had good reviews. The gentleman that runs it was very warm and welcoming. Although the kitchen was closed, as I arrived late afternoon, he got a sausage and avocado sandwich made up for me. Very charming cafe, fantastic service and such a delicious sandwich. I’ll definitely come here again. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was good, although a bit on the expensive side. However, the coffee was burnt and not that great.
