This place is awesome all the wat around. Carl is very knowledgeable about the venomous snakes and staff is very polite. I highly recommend this place to anyone that loves snakes and animals. They also have geckos tortoises and alligators and is very affordable. You will not be disappointed

Just for reference, I did a lot of research before we went and knew exactly what to expect. I knew it was a smaller place. We drove 5 hours round trip solely to come here. Best decision ever. My son is snake obsessed but experiencing medical issues and I wanted to take him to a snake exhibit where he could hold snakes indoors and had seating. In Fl, that isn’t easy to find! The added bonus was that they also had the venom extracting demonstration. I haven’t seen my son that happy in a long time. The people that work there are also amazing! Highly recommend!

I wish I could rate this place higher than 5! This was such an incredible & educational place to visit! I enjoyed the venom milking & seeing all the beautiful snakes. I even got to hold 2 of the sweetest snakes! Carl & Mara are so amazing & well rehearsed for this important job, helping in the production of antivenoms! 1000/10 recommend. I also enjoyed all the other tortoises, lizards, frogs & gators too of course

Enjoyed exploring this place so many reptiles to see especially the turtles I love them. Reasonable prices and a venom extract show you should check out!

My husband and I visited and had a wonderful experience! Yes, it’s on the smaller side, but that does take away from the experience at all. They have all the reptiles you’d expect to see anywhere else. The staff are all incredibly knowledgable and friendly! We watched a venom extraction, which was super cool and informative, and they even let us hold two very sweet snakes which was awesome! We also loved the alligator exhibit on the trail, he came right up to us as we approached. Very cool and we’ll be coming back! Also to add, neither of us are even big reptile people, but this was still really cool and swayed our views on these animals :)

This was such a great experience. Carl and his team were professional, courteous, and encouraging. They showed the process in great detail and answered any questions. The center has a lot of venomous snakes and other reptiles that you can see up close. Seeing the team handle highly venomous snakes with such ease was impressive and the kids loved it. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Florida to make it a stop or locals who haven't been yet.

We really enjoyed this center and will be back. It's educational for all ages, my daughter is 3 years old and us adults really liked the anti-venom lab and demonstration. The outside discovery trail was great for our daughter to run around and explore with us.

Stetson Mansion is a tastefully restored 1886 home once occupied by the Stetson family. Several different families have lived in the home and one still does. We actually saw some of their living quarters while on our tour of three floors, and the school house. Photos are only allowed outside and in the school house to protect the family's privacy. The home still has original wood floors, woodwork, staircase, and leaded glass windows, as well as some lighting and cedar siding. The original electric was worked on by Thomas Edison who also gifted the family lighting fixtures still in use. The home sits on over 2 of the original 300 acres.

Our Glass Guild toured the Stetson Mansion on a Saturday morning and we all felt it was “off the charts “ enjoyable, educational and enchanting! Kayla, the owner greeted us warmly and pleasantly checked in our 18 members. Then Alix, our energetic tour guide took group photos for us in front of the mansion before starting our enlightening tour of the 3 story 1886 Mansion. Alix was fascinating, weaving storytelling about the famous Hat maker, John Stetson and his family, and his connections to Thomas Edison, who personally wired this home for him. Alix was extremely knowledgeable about the architectural details of the woodwork, from the gleaming parquet flooring with unique patterns to intricate crown molding and staircases. We were impressed with all the leaded glass windows throughout each room! She kept us spellbound with the knowledge of this home and all the connections to Deland… We as a group highly recommend this historic tour!! Don’t miss it.

1st time ever to attend their Christmas celebration decorations which were magnificent. So much detail, so much dedication and love in the creation and so very interesting..looking forward to attending a historical tour they will host in Feb

Alix was an incredible tour guide! John B. Stetson built this beautiful mansion in DeLand Florida as his winter getaway away. We enjoyed the home decorated for Christmas and it was stunning!

Did the Xmas tour. Will be going back once the decorations are down.Well worth the price in my opinion. Really has personality. True Mansion. The only thing missing was Ted Cassidy who went to Stetson University. He played Lurch in the Adam's Family. You Rang ! Our tour guide was a young lady who was new and did a Superb job and was very knowledgeable. Wish I could remember her name. It was an unusual name, well done young lady.

We enjoyed the Christmas decor tour at the Stetson Mansion in DeLand, Florida today. Alix was a great tour guide and while the holiday decor is indeed something to see, the real star of the show is the house itself. It’s incredibly well preserved and absolutely breathtaking. We’re hoping to return for the historical tour (sans holiday sparkle) sometime next year.

Each room was decorated beautifully. Our tour guide Sally, added so much information and enthusiasm that I could not wait to walk into the next exquisitely decorated room. Definitely a must to experience!

We toured this college for my son, he loved it but we couldn't make the costs work, I expect he would have attended their business school otherwise. Very modern campus, the business related areas we toured were modern. Admissions staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly.

this is a small, private university in DeLand, Florida, between Orlando and Daytona. there are a few residence halls and academic buildings, a student union with a dining hall and study spaces, a wellness & recreation center, and a physical & mental health center. there’s also lots of greenery around the campus, making it a beautiful place to walk through.

Great nature surroundings and building structures. Me and my family came to a graduation and all the staff was very nice and organize at the beginning but they lost control because the place got to full. But they tried to handle the best of their abilities.

Stellar group of people that allow the opportunity for Children to flourish into amazing adults. Beautiful campus. Old Florida vibes.

Open House at Stetson University; what an amazing experience. So welcoming, students & faculty were happy. The atmosphere promotes individuality & community in a harmonious symphony. Quite unique, not for everyone yet for those who dare to be challenged & seek the authenticity from a deeper perspective- this is the learning environment to grow.

Top notch school! Great atmosphere, terrific profs and the campus is beautiful! The classes are small , it’s a smaller university which makes it very personal and friendly.

This is a cute little museum on the Main Street. There are two locations and the one downtown has one exhibit. The staff are friendly and helpful. It costs $5 for two day admission at both locations.

I'm a brand new teacher. I teach art at IYF Orlando Academy, we are a non-profit organization, and I have to take my students to the field trip on april 26th. I didn't know what to do. I came to check out the museums in Deland downtown, they were closed, then I went on to the main museum, which is connected to the downtown museum. I met with many staffs, and one of them name was Debra. Sorry, I forgot her last name. And I'm sorry if I do not mention your names here. I'm so terrible with remembering names.... So, as i introduced myself and my school, i also asked for the waivers and stuff, etc. Debra is a good listener and very patient to me. She helped me so much, I have to say she was the one who made the trip happen, and i just followed it. Finally, they gave us a warm welcoming during the trip, and it turned out so amazing. My students had so much fun and I had so much fun. We were 14 people, and we didn't have to pay for the admission fees. Drabra even conducted a good story about the artist and photographer, Thomas D. Mangelsen is an amazing and talented human being. she educated my students and gave a 10-15 minute speech to the students. I am so thankful for everything you guys have done for our academy. I will never look at those pictures the same as I first saw it. The downtown museum is now opening to the public now. I really recommend everyone to visit both museums if you made it to one of them. Any days of the week don't matter...

This museum is split across two locations. The price of admission is low and allows visits to both locations over a 3 day period. It's a good deal, especially if you see the art at both locations. This location is at the center of town in DeLand. We visited the other location first because we were sure we would find parking there. Fortunately, we found parallel parking right on Woodland Blvd close to the museum. The art gallery is on the second floor, with a gift shop occupying the first. The art when we visited was almost entirely from the same artist who likes to use cut white paper as media in various ways. The piece of art that we were most drawn to was the largest one and took up one entire wall. It was described as capturing the artist's childhood fear of riding her bike on a busy street. The massive cut paper design features SUVs and a girl tumbling off her bike. After taking in much of the detail, we realized something. The entirety of the paper was textured the same way paper that is left on asphalt and run over by vehicle tires would be. While all the other pieces of her artwork were good, this is the one that made our visit great. Something like this is why we love art so much.

Deland Museum of Art currently featuring an impressive multi media collection of the works of M.C. Escher in lovely downtown Deland. Great gift shop full of artists related works, too.

The museum shop is well stocked with a plethora of unique items from jewelry to books to art books, educational toys, home decor, and more. We left with gifts for friends and some fun things for ourselves ad well after browsing for almost an hour. Loved it!

Well kept campground. Plenty of water access but no beach. Rentals for tubing, canoeing, and kayaking are available. Water is crystal clear in the swimming area. Playground and restroom facilities are near water as well as in the campground There is also a campstore. Campground also features a tour boat ride on the river. Viewing deck allows for long views of the water and wildlife (birds, gators, fish).

Absolutely beautiful! The park is clean, well-maintained, and has a great playground and campsite. They have rentals for inner tubes, kayaks, and snorkeling gear, with a few food and beverage kiosks. The homestead was also interesting and a cool bit of history! Quick disclaimer though - the water is quite chilly!

Visited Blue Spring 6 nights with our travel trailer. Great little park with electric and water hook ups. All spots have lots of shade. Some are a bit off level so you may need to level your camper a bit. The Spring was fabulous. It can get really crowded so it is nice you can be in the park at all hours. We had family in the cabins and the cabins were nice. Each cabin had a screened porch and full kitchen. There was plenty of room between properties for a little privacy. A couple of trails offer some good walks. Saw plenty of deer and birds.

Very unique experience! We spontaneously decided to drive up here during our stay in Orlando. We enjoyed the boardwalk, got to see manatees and even one gator when we took the 1h boat tour. Our guide Lee was very funny and we learned a bunch about the area and St Johns River. Restrooms were clean and well maintained.

Great state park with lots of wildlife and things to explore and do. On my visit we saw 3 manatee there hard to spot in the river that is black but you can see the movement of the leafs on top of the water getting eaten. Look for there mouths mainly sticking up since hard to spot there entire body in dark water. If you go to the clear water definitely easy to spot but can be limited in numbers due to people swimming. We did see 1 in clear water and 2 on the boat tour.

Lovely boat ride through the natural spring . We saw alligators, manatees and many birds. Everyone was very nice with there were 2 cafe with good food and a store and trails to walk on.

This is a beautiful spring with clear water, lot's of fish and an occasional manatee sighting or two. They're beautiful creatures and very curious. You're not aloud to touch them, but this manatee didn't get the memo. Lol! What an awesome experience and video I was able to capture.

This place is absolutely amazing. I am a Navy Veteran and came here with my family. The staff are all volunteer and super friendly. Walking in and on the only surviving Vietnam PT boat was awesome inspiring. The plane hangar, the little gift shop. My son gave Don, a Seabee, Veteran volunteer, a Thank you for your service coin and didn't expect anything back, but Don have him his first challenge coin in exchange. That was so touching. I loved it all and so come back to support them.

I’ve visited many aviation museums, but NAS DeLand stands out despite its small size. The volunteers are incredibly passionate, and the tours are thoughtfully designed, engaging, and completely free. What makes this museum truly special is the flexible, one-on-one tour experience—something rarely found in larger institutions. Because of its size, restoration work here is even more challenging in terms of funding and manpower. Yet their progress is remarkable. The TBF-1 Avenger restoration and the PTF-3 restoration show the dedication and craftsmanship. The behind-the-scenes stories and technical details are something you can only fully appreciate by visiting in person. Highly recommended—especially for aviation and military history enthusiasts.

Visited the museum on a Saturday morning. Had a great tour with Ed and Chris. The TBF Avenger, F-14 Tomcat, and the PTF-3 torpedo boat were awesome to see. Will definitely drop by next time I’m in town. They’re only open Saturday and Wednesday mornings, so plan accordingly.

A small treasure for any military history buffs at the former Naval Air Station. Small, but such a gem. All volunteer, no entry fee with a guided tour. Jill explained the way through all the exhibits, the last remaining Vietnam PT boat, the restoration of the TBF bomber. A Must!

This museum might be small in size but it is large in history. Loved taking my kids there as a homeschool field trip. They got to learn some great facts. The guides are very knowledgeable. So cool to see everything. We didn’t get to get on the boat this time. Hoping to tour it next time as I plan to come back again in the future.

Visited with a friend September 2, 2025 and was pleasantly surprised it was so well put together. We took an 11 o’clock tour the last one and we were not rushed. Had to volunteers Edward and Barbra and boy. I was very impressed. Anyone that visits you will enjoy what you see! Thank you to all the volunteers

My gem club took a field trip to the Gillespie Museum and had a great time! So many beautiful rocks, minerals and crystals in their collection. Don't miss this place!

Interesting exhibit of fascinating rocks. They have a large collection and rotate them out. The main exhibit had some really spectacular rocks. There were rocks for the kids to dig up. It is part of a department of Stetson University. Free parking across the street.

Wonderful little museum! They need better signage from the street, circled Stetson University several times before I found how to get to the entrance. They have a beautiful collection of minerals, fossils, rocks, stones, gems, etc. Very informative and educational. Wonderful exhibits and events.

Had a great visit at the Gillespie Museum. Needed to kill time before dinner and looked up free things to do in DeLand, and found this spot. Ended up seeing a great selection of gems and minerals, fossils, and more. A favorite was the meteorite on display.

We had a fabulous time! Lots to see, and the staff went over and above to show the children everything.

A nice museum, friendly staff, family fun and learning experience!

this is a little hidden gem in DeLand! the Butterfly Sanctuary is quite small and, unfortunately, i didn’t see any butterflies other than the large sculpture. the park itself take up a good bit of space with its large playground, 4 covered pavilions with picnic tables, and many benches. it’s a great place to come to for a little walk, breath of fresh air, or to host a picnic, cookout, gathering, or birthday party. there’s plenty of parking all around, nice public bathrooms, and water fountains. it’s also home of the DeLand Memorial Hospital and Veterans Museum.

This hasaways been my most favorite playground to take my 3 boys to. My 3year old had his party there just last week just like my other 2 boys 6 and 10 years ago and besides upgrading the playground it's still the same. We didn't rent a gazebo but we still had the party under one I would of giving thus place 5 stars but unfortunately the bathrooms (same ones as 10 yrs ago and still only 2 bathrooms when if im not mistsken multiple after school programs there i just love this park and so will your kids)

Hidden jewel, a massive playground in Deland. Bathrooms nearby. So much for children to do. Multiple swings, slides, ways to climb and explore. It's a wonderful fenced in playground with areas for younger and older children. Delightful themes and tree house with metal slides. Only lacks full coverage from the boiling summer heat. Addition of a splash pad and concession stand would bring family friendly joy all year.

Really I like the Place

It's a nice park for children and adults. There's a Sensory Garden with flowers and butterflies. Small but pretty. A great playground with forts and other options for younger children. Picnic tables, grills and restrooms for the family. There's even a museum on the grounds, but you need to check the hours of operation.

My first time here and my kid had a field day. I love the one way in and one way out, the adaptive equipment, and lots of places to climb and explore! The only downer is the inability to always have a line of sight of the kiddos, but the one way in/out helps. My gf and I sat near the entrance so we knew they wouldn't escape. Lots of places for the parents to sit. I would definitely make the 45 minute drive again to visit!

We had a great experience watching Grease at this theater. It was the first musical that have ever seen and it was a blast. The theater looks great inside and is taken care of very nicely with a nice old time feeling to it, but in the best way possible. The crew that works there is also extremely polite and helpful. If you get the chance to go to an event here, I'd highly recommend it.

Truly a gem of the past, preserved for the present and hopefully a long future. It's a beautiful place to see a concert as my wife and I just did. Really great experience. Will be returning for upcoming shows for sure.

Even though I didn’t know anyone, everyone felt like family. Extremely nice staff, very kind people. The theater is really cute and well kept. The audio was impressive. Went to see Dracula - great and passionate actors. I just wish it wasn’t too long. I will be back! Thank you for keeping arts real and alive in this virtual world

What a great performance, 2 things that really make this band Absolutely amazing, 1, going off other bands during performance, 2 the meet and greet after the show. Took my 19 year old son with me and we had a blast. What's really cool that we meet the stage hands also!!! Just a truly unique opportunity for us and anyone else!!!!!

Our first time at the Athens Theater and we were so pleased with this historic gem! I was so impressed with the venue and the friendly people that work there. The Fleetwood Mac Experience was out of this world amazing! Super talented musicians who know how to connect with the audience. What an extremely enjoyable evening listening to a wonderful group of musicians. My hubby and I had a blast! Will definitely be back for sure!

My family has been season ticket holders for several years now. We look forward to every show. We plan our calendar around their season! This is a must do for DeLand. The building is amazing and the historic preservation is stunning. The people who run this have a legit passion for this. If you can get a ticket please do to any show here. You won’t regret it.

My friend rented out a space for the baby shower it was very clean, the rest rooms tidy, and the attendant for the night was very kind. Spacious, great lighting. All in all a great place for an event.

My first and second jump with Lucas were spectacular! Scott did an awesome job with my video, despite some minor technical difficulties :) I felt safe the whole time, even while free-falling toward earth. The view was stunning and I got to sit back and enjoy the ride. Thanks for a great time!

First visit and I am glad I came with a friend that was familiar with everything. Country mouse in the big city feeling. Enjoyed my tandem jump, my coach jump and my solo jump. The staff and instructors were very friendly and helpful. Bonus: restaurant on site.

Surrounded by professionals and goofballs at the same time. Love this place. Happen to swing in there during a competition. Got to have a few jumps with the C-Van and the Twin. Had the opportunity to meet the Army Golden Knights as well. Super fun day. Highly recommended if you're traveling through. Ticket was like 30 bucks to 14k Alt.

Absolutely amazing experience! I jumped with my mother and our instructors were Rodrigo and Fraser. They made us feel safe, secure, and laughed all around. Truly a wonderful time and I couldn't thank them more for making us feel welcomed and in the best hands! I highly recommend this place!!

Such a great experience for first time jumpers!!! The staff was super knowledgeable and made everyone feel at ease. We did get the video to capture these first-timers, and it's definitely worth it to catch all the action in the air! Will be back!

This place truly is such a welcoming place for 1st timers to the pros! I recommend coming to Skydive Deland over anywhere else. They make you feel so safe and service. My instructor was so great with letting me know exactly what was going to happen. My camera man was super! This place is the place to go for all you skydiving needs even if you want to learn to skydive solo they have programs to teach you how, which is my next stop after my first jump today. ❤️Skydive DeLand

We just had my adult daughter’s birthday party here on Sunday, 4/27/25. It was awesome! About 20-25 of us. The lanes were clean, plenty of bowling balls in a variety of colors & weight to choose from as well as easy to read screens of everyone’s bowling turns, and scores. It was so much fun! The staff were friendly, including Dustin, the incredible bar tender! The food from Rachel’s Wings in front of the Bowling place, is the best! The wings, the onion rings, tators, fried mushrooms, and more, was fabulous! And let me not forget the burgers! I had the Southwest that had cheese and jalapeños, cooked perfect and juicy! So if you like to bowl ( note: they have pool tables too) and want scrumptious food with it, then this is the place for you and your family & friends. This place is definitely on my “Favorites List!”

I had no idea that this place even existed. I did like the place. It was really clean and there was plenty to do besides bowling. They have a little arcade and other arcade games, claw machines, quarter machine. That quarter machine gets me every time. They even have a nice bar here. I recommend this place anytime.

Great place for any get together. Was great time. Food was decent. Two complaints...not enough ball size selections, especially that bigger fingers fit in, and the shoes were pretty tore up. I had hole in my toes.

I hadn't been to this establishment in years and the only thing that had changed was the restaurant area and bar (VIP area). The rest of the bowling alley was out dated. Compared to other bowling Alley's I have been to. Seating was uncomfortable music wasn't loud enough and also was out dated.Our balls kept getting stuck in the lanes. Most of the bowling balls have Knicks in them. Throwing off your game. I love my hometown. But something's never changed to keep up with the times.

Absolutely the best time ever. The staff was super great! We had the VIP birthday experience and from the time we walked in until we left we were treated as vips. Thank you for letting us celebrate my daughter’s 13th birthday in a welcoming environment. I highly recommend and we didn’t even try the restaurant. We will add that in next time!

The museum is nice. It’s a small space without enough room to display all that they have. I was informed that they received grants to expand next year, which I would gladly come back to see. The museum is free to the public, but there is a donation box. They have some great treasures here, everyone should come and check it out!

Small unique museum showcases talented Black artists, many local and state. They have hosted the wee known Highwaymen artists as well as Caribbean artists. Currently, a show of amazing biographical hand-sewn quilts. By the way, the museum will begin an expansive addition in 2024.

Definitely worth the time to capture history. The Museum is small right now; though they are planning to expand on their property very soon. Ms Mary, the Director, schedules events that are most interesting. The Quilt showing was phenomenal. They even have a tiny gift store with very tasteful jewelry at reasonable prices. Their amphitheater holds the local poetry contests. Highly recommend.

This is a small museum but absolutely worth it. The director is very knowledgeable about Deland history, and is more than willing to tell you about each piece in the museum. They have a lot of books for kids and adults to borrow while there. They have plans for a new building, so donate to the cause if able.

This is a small museum but worth every minute. The ladies we met were very knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. The museum works with the local artist, the music bandstand across the street is beautiful and can be rented by the community. It's an assuming building but a diamond in the rough. Stop in and be educated.

Beresford Park is a well-maintained community park with playgrounds, open spaces, sports facilities (tennis, basketball, baseball), and walking/bike paths. It's clean, has a strong community atmosphere, and offers something for everyone. Parking can be challenging at peak times, and some areas lack shade. Overall, it's a highly recommended local gem.

What a great park. Blue Springs was closed and we made this a wonderful alternative for our Memorial Day Weekend outing. Great paved trails. Scenic Old Florida beauty. Lake views. Huge pathways. Great bathroom facilities. Much of the paths are shaded. In the heart of DeLand.

Great park to walk or ride a bike. Plenty of wildlife. Clean bathrooms. You can take a small hike to the water or walk the loop. Plenty of views of the trains from the trail.

Hosted walking & cycling events for the AVA - Happy Wanderers at Lake Beresford Park this past Saturday. The weather was great and so the park was crowded with 3 groups there at the same time, staining the available parking. But everyone managed and both events were enjoyed! Inside the park there is a paved trail of about 2 miles around the triangular perimeter, with several different dirt/sand paths crisscrossing the interior. Our walkers did either 5K or 10K in and around the park. The park connects through a tunnel to the paved Springs-to-Springs rail trail, part of the growing St. John's River-to-Sea loop network of trails. From here, you can ride south to Blue Spring State park, and point further - all the way to Titusville if you want! We rode as far as the top of DeBary, and back. Opposite the bike trail there's a short path (a little muddy along the way) to Lake Beresford itself. Enjoy!

Great park in DeLand. We sometimes visit downtown and my son absolutely loves this park. Lots of slides and swings along with a huge playhouse with all the jungle gym activities. It's quite impressive

Wonderful park overall, especially for young children. The grounds are cushioned, alleviating most concerns with falling, especially those with young children learning how to walk/run still. My only real complaint is that more shade would be nice, especially with some of the hottest summers Florida has had on record in the last few years, and given the fact that a few of the slides and much of the play equipment is metal - not the best feature on a Florida playground. Other than that, this is a very entertaining park with lots to do and nice covered pavilions if you want to do snack/lunch time before or after playtime.

A nice clean playground with a castle for kids to climb on. Swings, slide, and a closed-in place for your kids to play. There are plenty of benches for parents to sit down on to watch their kids play. The area park was clean and safe with plenty of parental supervision. A nice place to let the kids unwind after you pick them up after school.

This is a must go to take your kids- I mean it’s just amazing to see all the different obstacles, monkey bars, slides ,swings, and even a zip line! My grandchildren loved it ! The ground has a nice turf, it’s clean , and safe. Something for all ages , and not very busy at all.

Great place for kids to play. Young ones need to be monitored closely, they can get lost in the area. Bring a chair.

One of the best playgrounds in this area. Worth the 30 min drive from my house. Very well kept, lots of equipment to play on for kids of all ages/sizes... and big enough for adults to go on the equipment to play with their children without being cramped. Dedicated area for little ones also. Entire play area is gated with only 1 entrance in/out, lots of seating throughout & shade also... very well thought out layout.

An attractive park. Beautiful fountain. Nice landscape. Large covered pavilion. Working water fountain. Plenty of seating. The old clock needs some repair. Tends to attract a bad crowd after sunset. Loud drug partaking people. Wouldn’t be here after dark!

Nice, neat park with plenty of seating, tables and a pavilion. The park is well cared for. Winding paths meander through a manicured, green lawn. An attractive fountain spouts after 7:30 AM. Ducks often visit the park. A great place to read, meditate and relax.

The water fountain appears broken and its quite nasty! Sadly that is where this beautiful however siren-screaming by all emergency vehicles especially the police chooses to serve the food to mostly homeless people.

Beautiful, large park with a large pond and lots of walkways, outdoor gym equipment, a small skate park and tons of friendly birds! Great place for a walk or to sit and relax! Very clean and safe.

This is just a great park to relax. Lots of parking and we'll lit. The ducks are tame and really a fun place to be at.

I love how the park puts on so many great events for the community to enjoy. I’m a local food vendor we love supporting the park during these time and really appreciate everyone’s hard work with keeping everything so clean. Blessings

Spacious and clean dog park, playground is nice outside of a few things that could be fixed or updated, lots of ducks and little walking paths, fountains are pretty, and there is even a basketball court and skatepark. Bathrooms are not clean unless you go inside the community center. The community center is clean and has a changing table in the bathroom, but is only open to the public Monday thru Friday. Homeless people sometimes hang around the picnic benches, but they aren't there all day usually.

Love the nature, the walkway that circles a huge lake adorned with a founain ducks swans paddling in and out the lake. Kids are playing in more basketball hoops than courts to play. There are restrooms. I spent a whole day on a picnic and enjoyed it. I don't get excited on parks ,but there is something special at Earl Brown park.

Would like to see the bathrooms refreshed in the baseball/softball area, and the awnings repaired. Possibly add additional shades that can be removed easily during bad weather.

Nice idea but only a couple minor things I think they could fix to make it even better. They need to use all the space there and redo the parking areas to make parking easier and I feel if they are going to have the younger kids play they should actually make them a field instead of using the outfield of the softball field. They should draw out a schematic of the area they have and make a field or 2 designated for the lil ones, be ALOT less confusing and make labels for each field so there's no confusion.

Old and deteriorating. They were out of most of the food and drinks on their menu. Employees were friendly, helpful, and apologetic. Rental skates were functional but worn and uncomfortable. Price was reasonable.

Had one of my children's birthday parties here. The people were pretty nice but the place needed cleaned. The table area and bathroom could have used fresh paint (it was chipped and dirty). Bathrooms weren't the cleanest but, the music was family friendly, the prices were good and the service was good so overall, I give 4 stars. We will be back!

The Rink has a great family friendly atmosphere for all ages. They're encouraging out on the rink & knowledgeable in what type of skates and wheels are best depending on your skate style & liking.They have a good selection of skates you can order right there at their sales counter if it's not already on their shelf.All the staff are helpful & attentive for every party we have had here. Plenty of games, snacks, finger foods & candy. Pretty much any Funko pop you want they have it .We enjoy making memories with our family at our hometown Rink.

I love this place still!!! Used to go when I was a teen... Had my daughter's birthday party today here!! The staff was amazing and the kids had a blast!!! The glow in the dark birthday party was cool. Will be doing it again for my other daughter's birthday!!

We were trying to figure out how lap swim works. After waiting 30 minutes to be able to get in the pool, a tall skinny older lifeguard came over to us and was very nasty in his tone telling us to stay in our lane. We were shocked at how nasty he was. We were not trying to do anything wrong and we are older women and do not appreciate his demeanor. He is not a good representative of the YMCA. He's a bully.

The rules for the pool go far beyond reasonable. They make it where you don't even wanna bring your kids there. It's excessive and I would not recommend this Ymca at all! On top of that the lifeguards are rude little children.

This place is huge and offers really great amenities like free weights, old school and new school weight machines, plenty of stair plumbers and treadmills, basketball courts, a sauna, showers, group classes and more. Its all well kept and clean. My only issue is there are 2 pools I can never use in the morning. The outdoor pool is almost always in use from the local swing team so that's out and the indoor pool has 4 lanes that are usually used by members who will lap for an hour or more so that's usually out too. They should at least allow deep end use of the outdoor pool or something.

The gym itself is fine but the hours are PATHETIC for how expensive it is a month. I got a membership for the pool, which is monitored by rude lifeguards and ALSO has bad hours. Closing at 2PM on SATURDAY is wild when you’re also closed on sundays. The YMCA didn’t use to be this bad, but it has gone downhill. They charge you an extra $30 per person for 24/7 access, which would be fine if it the gym didn’t close at 8PM on weekdays. It’s just not geared for regular people to use.

Been using this YMCA for many years and you should too.

First and foremost I would say it’s not the workers fault for these conditions but Volusia county really should be ashamed of themselves for the conditions of the ymca facilities basketball court in DeLand. And field conditions in Deltona. No reason why children should be asked to perform in conditions like these no ac in gym in triple heat index summer days. Really shouldn’t even be allowed and the audacity to continue to charge full price or have the Deltona residents drive to DeLand over 30 min a way to participate when it’s four towns literally in town 5-10 minutes away. The staff tries what they can by propping fans but circulating fans in a poorly insulated tin can circulates heat only. Something needs to be done and this is unacceptable.

The staff is friendly, and they have great programs for swimming, kids exercise, sports, etc. The many pieces of out of order equipment, and the women's locker room though, are completely unacceptable! There's rarely soap in the bathrooms, the toilets don't have doors, rather than tension rods with short shower curtains to "conceal" you. It looks like it has not been cleaned in a year or more. I truly do not understand how it can be this run down! Some other members were telling me that their group of over a dozen submitted letters about this and were told "make a donation and maybe we will fix it. " their team had donated $10k at some point and nothing has been changed.

Was a great experience and very efficient visit for my two littles who were both new patients. Office was clean. Receptionist was an amazing help setting up the patient portal. Everyone was friendly and the Dr was amazing with my kids. Glad to have chosen this place to establish care after relocating from out of state.

We couldn’t ask for a better pediatrician! Appointments always run on time, which is a huge plus for busy parents. They’ve also made scheduling a breeze with their easy-to-use app, where we can book visits and check our child’s appointment history with no hassle. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and so sweet with the kids, making each visit a comfortable and positive experience. Highly recommend!

The staff in the office is very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. They are great. I would highly highly recommend Dr. Danielle, she is the best! I would suggest some changes at the call center. It’s always anywhere between 20 minutes and 40 minutes to get any response to make an appointment or to ask a question.

Everybody in this office is absolutely amazing all of the stuff is super kind and pleasant very courteous very friendly very professional the nurses are amazing, everyone is top notch!!! Danielle Hockey has been a super help with my kids, no matter what, she took care them!! Very knowledgeable!!! I love this place and would never change my pediatrician's office for anything!

Brought my son in and seen Danielle for his asthma check. Front desk and clinical staff were nothing short of amazing. Danielle was very informative about his asthma and made my son more aware of the importance of his spacer with his inhaler! Staff here is friendly and personable wouldn't take my child anywhere else.

My mom used to bring me when I was a kid to see Dr Bell, and as I got older and had a son, this is where I have always taken him for the past four years of his life. Super awesome, all the front desk nurses are super sweet and caring, and Danielle is great herself!

Unfortunately, I could not give this "doctor's office" less than a one-star review. West Volusia Pediatric Associates is one of the worst pediatricians I have experienced. After my child’s pediatrician retired, the office experience has been negative. We were seen in the fall for an office visit and had to wait an hour over our appointment time to be seen by the Nurse Practitioner. I had asked for an estimated time when we would see the NP during the visit, because we had been waiting, and had not received a response. I had explained I had another appointment on the other side of town and they did not care. When we finally saw the doctor, our appointment lasted four minutes. We were told that they could not help us, and if the problem persisted further, they would refer us to another office. About 15 days later, we received a bill from the doctor’s office, explaining we had to pay for the office visit, insurance did not cover everything. Come to find out, West Volusia Pediatrics billed my insurance company $223.00 for a visit that was: 1. not on time, 2. lasted four minutes, 3. did not help my child 4. told me there was nothing they could do, and sent me on my way. Now they are explaining we owe them money for a “service” or “help” we never received. I have attempted to call their billing office on several occasions and have only spoken to someone one time, who told me they would remove the charge, but the charge has yet to be removed. I have been on hold with the office for over an hour on two other occasions before I finally gave up, and tried to call back another time. DO NOT waste your time with this office. It is a sorry experience, and your children’s health is more important than what they are willing to provide.

I have been “practicing” yoga for more than two decades. I took my first class 12 years ago. I started with Ella a year ago and it is like nite and day! Alignment and guidance with Ella has elevated my practice to a whole new level. The bonus has been Ella’s attention to my personal physical issues. An anterior discomfort I have been struggling with for years is now resolved. My hip issue that has been with me for decades was addressed in the span of one class using a strap. I bought one to take home, used it once, and that’s it. The cherry on top is Ella. A more compassionate, focused, competent, joyful instructor I have never met. Love you Ella!

Great place to really learn about yoga principles, practice and form. The instructors have elevated my practice and have helped me improve my form, strength and flexibility. And I love the informational, inspirational lesson at the beginning of each class. I highly recommend The Yoga Shed and yogis Ella, Mel and Yves. 🕉

A yoga gem! For beginners to advanced the yoga shed covers all levels. This studio focuses on alignment and the proper use of props to support the practitioner in a safe and effective way. Instructors are highly trained and knowledgeable on modifications for every level. Definitely go!

I cannot thank The Yoga-Shed team enough for giving me my shoulder and laterals back! Replacement was six years ago and rehab was over a year but it was not until in tiI the last year that I had tremendous gains in flexibility and strength. It’s not easy and yes there is good pain but one thing I know is I have to continue on. I never thought I would be going to yoga workshops and retreats! A huge shout out to all the instructors at the yoga shed who have helped me blossom and make me and my doctor proud (and shocked)! Injured or not, yoga shed is where to be!

I visited Yoga Shed while I was visiting family in Deland, and I had a wonderful experience taking Ella's class! She is extremely knowledgeable, and I enjoyed her class immensely. I would highly recommend her studio for anyone looking for alignment specific, anatomy-informed classes.

Since its founding over a decade ago, the Yoga Shed in Deland has stood head and shoulders above other yoga studios that I have experienced in central Florida. It's most recent proprietor, Ella Ran, continues to expand her own capabilities and raise the standard of services offered to her clientele. Among others, that includes a wonderfully comfortable, new studio space in the heart of downtown Deland. Go! You'll be glad you did!!

Went here for my first yoga class. The instructions were easy to follow and well suited for any skill level. The instructor did a great job looking out for everybody’s posture and supporting the poses with props to adjust the difficulty. The class was a Back Care Basics class and I’m without back pain for the first time in a week! I can recommend the Yoga Shed to anyone wanting to try it out.

We have been with Mainstreet for several years. They have no hidden fees, and do everything to help your business grow. We have financed two company cars, and each time successfully paid them off. Perfect bank for local business! Highly recommended!

They seemed so angry at their booth during their last mainstreet event on Sat and Sun May 1 & 2 2021. None of them had masks on and seemed very disturbed that we did. They were not nice.

First time visiting Deland and the bf and I fell in love with the Main Street area! So much to do there and it was such a charming town. We look forward to visiting again.

Mainstreet is a great organization they have super fun events in Deland every month like the WWC that I find a very fun event to spend some time with friend, thanks for your organization.

I went there on an Indian festival there was food l many vendors around good products n not to expensive. That was at historic of Deland.

Nobody deserves to go to this school. I, along with many others, experienced horrible things here. I can’t even begin to describe the anger and hurt I still feel. The staff ignored bullying — they just didn’t care. This school left me and others emotionally broken. Even after transferring, I still hear from friends about how the school punished them for being bullied. My brother is now behind in math because of their poor education. Please, save yourself from this place. There are much better schools out there.

I cannot say enough great things about this school! My children have excelled so much this year, and I believe it is because of this school's amazing atmosphere! They actually love to go to school, not only to see their friends, but to see their teachers and see what is in store for them each day. It is worth everything, knowing they are in a safe environment and are happy. Thank you, St. Barnabas Episcopal School!

I would highly recommend St. Barnabas Episcopal School if you are contemplating where to send your child to school. The teachers are loving and caring, they teach your child many of the skills they need for success in life. The school encourages honesty, compassion, empathy and how to be outstanding citizens in the community. I have put 2 children through the school, and don't regret a moment of it.

We had a great experience as a family with young kids here. The entire park is beautiful and they have amazing bike trails as well as hiking trails for all levels. I would recommend booking a cabin online and staying for a couple of days to enjoy the nature, fishing and everything this beautiful state park has to offer.

Love the island with great little store and rental bicycles kayaks and canoes available Rocking chairs under covered area to rest and enjoy the view. Lots of trails and plenty of great Florida flora and fauna to enjoy. Cabins remodeled and almost ready to enjoy. Friendly staff and rangers readily available for any questions or problems

I loved this little island approximately 40 minutes from Orlando. Free ferry ⛴ over only 6 at a time so you may have to wait. State park run by volunteers so be patient. Once you cross there are great areas to picnic and play and a little store with comfy rockers out front overlooking water. Dog and kid friendly and nice easy walking path through old growth and new growth areas. They also rent kayaks, bikes, and affordable cabins. I was on my way to Blue Springs State Park and they were full, this park is approximately 20 minutes from there and well worth checking out. I have included many pics. Despite being a friday it was quite calm and quiet. The trails are well maintained and easy to hike. The recent rains had water up on a trail (which was marked as being a wet trail) at some places however it was still easy and in the lowest spots there were walkways in place. The cabins looked well maintained from the outside and were a easy walk from where you enter the park. As for price to enter, it was the best price, free, although they do accept donations. All in all a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

I purchased a tour boat ride deal on Groupon for my husband's birthday. It was perfect. Rob, the captain was very kind and knowledgeable. The only draw back was the men standing at the front of the boat. They were blocking the front (and most beautiful) view the entire time, until the end when the captain picked up the speed and requested everyone to sit down. It would have also been nice to know that the boat seating would open up 5 minutes before take off. Until then, you're just waiting around the beautiful dock wondering when you'll be able to get on the boat.

I really enjoyed Barkley Square Dog Park and so does our pup!! I like both how the big and small dog areas have lots of room for the doggies to run and play. Our dog is a puppy but big for 3 months old so I had him in the small dog area and it was perfect for him.

Fantastic place to bring to puppers! Huge areas for dogs to roam and play and run! My dog is a runner and he loves this place. I’ve never seen a dog park so big. The pond is a great way for the dogs to cool off and splash around!

Our favorite dog park. We drive 30 mins to take our dogs here. They love it! So many dogs and so much space for them to run. Biggest dog park I’ve ever seen. Our dogs love the pond which is also huge. Lots of shade trees and picnic tables also benches. Bring towels or a cover for your seat in the car. They will definitely be wet and sandy.

Amazing! One of my favorite parks so serene, quiet, peaceful and beautiful huge area for both small and large dogs with a man made pond. My dog had a blast. She did not stop playing and swimming which put her out for the rest of the day. Bring a lunch and picnic at one of the tables or lay out a blanket and watch your puppy have a great time. This is a beautiful neighborhood and the groundskeeper were putting g out new trees. One thing clean up after your pet. Poop and bags with poop laying around. They offer this park for free don’t take advantage and clean up after your dog. Anyone will love this park. Plus they have bathrooms and a place to wash off your pup.

It's a decent dog park. It's completely fenced in and extremely spacious for dogs to run freely without worry and the grass is always maintained. There's a lake in the center and it is standing water, it does have the common softshell turtles only, and honestly they're not a bother. They also have a smaller fenced in section for those who have smaller dogs. They do have bathrooms and picnic benches and regular benches, some are shaded under the trees. They have outdoor showers for the dogs and water fountains as well.

Not crowded. Very large dog park with minimal shade. It does have a dog water fountain but one is broken so I recommend always bringing your own fresh water system and shade if you can. Make sure to bring towels as pups with be sandy & salty 🙂

It's a nice park with a pond. It's big enough that dogs can really get good exercise and running done. It's got bathrooms and water for rinsing off your dogs. There is an area for dogs that don't mingle but it is not smaller dog tight. There is maintenance that desperately needs to be done in that section.

For the park is a nice little place to stop and some lunch, time permitting. You can enjoy the water and any number different boats pass by. There is ample parking during the week but on the weekends it can be nightmarishly busy. Plan ahead go early. Have Fun, Be Safe.

I love this spot. It’s nice and secluded yet is public enough to have bathrooms a restaurant and a boat ramp definitely one of my favorite fishing spots.

I like the park. The boat ramp is really nice and clean. The park is clean and spacious. I do like the fishing area especially. It's a wooden deck that runs almost the entire length of the water front. Each time I've been there I had no problem finding a spot to fish. It doesn't seem to get packed with people fishing. Now as for the boat ramp. The entire parking lot on the weekends typically is so packed that people that have launched are left parking down the road beyond the entrance or on the other side of the ramp. You will not find a parking spot unless you get there early. There is also still the construction going in but it's very minimal and you don't have that to deal with on the weekend anyway. They have bathrooms also so that makes things easier also.

Nice ramp with plenty of lanes and docks for each lane. Although it gets super busy, there's tons of parking. Steep ramp, adjust accordingly. If you see apple snail eggs on the seawall please destroy them 🙏

We found ourselves the only people in the clean and well-maintained parking lot here one quiet spring week day, loving this peaceful boat ramp and this pretty stretch of river. The area around the ramp itself is free of trash and the dock is easy to tie up to and quickly trailer your boat on and off of. My beau and I loaded up our picnic and headed out for a romantic lunch among the lilly pads, and the scenery did not disappoint. Along the way we even caught sight of a rainbow, a pair of bald eagles and a baby alligator!
