We had so much fun last week we came back again! So far we love the secret society the most. Train heist was also super cool! Creative props. Mentally challenging. Super clean. 10/10 recommend!

Was great! Always a good time! Only issue we had was one light didn’t work so we didn’t know that it triggered. We wasted time on that. They did give us some extra time. They do a great job here! We will be back!

Great experience! The puzzles were challenging and the story was engaging. Wes was a great game master and was very helpful with clues when needed and accommodating accessibility concerns. We had a great time! 😄

Had a great experience hosting my son’s birthday party for a second time in a row here. Ike was the best, providing just enough hints to get them succeed in the hardest room, Operation Deep Dive.

Wes was an awesome game master, we made it out of the submarine with 1:42 to spare!! The set was incredible and the puzzles were super cool, we asked for a couple hints but we were already on the right track so we just had to keep doing what we were doing

MarketFair, located just outside downtown Princeton, is a classy retail venue offering upscale specialty shops and casual restaurants. The mall features a variety of well-known stores such as GAP, Francescas, West Elm, Pottery Barn, and more. Visitors can enjoy a mix of high-quality dining options including TGI Fridays, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze, and fast-casual eateries like The Corner Bakery and Starbucks.
I really love this mall. It’s clean, nice, and well-kept—not too big, not too small. I especially love the bookstore (Barnes & Noble). There’s a Starbucks, an AMC, and lots of restaurants inside.
Beatrice S — Google review
I love Princeton Market Fair because it’s one floor and it’s never really crowded. It’s definitely evolved over the years and I miss it having a food court where you could just grab something quick to eat. I’m so glad that the AMC movie theater is still there!
A.L. P — Google review
While it feels like this mall is smaller than most other malls I have been to, it is clean and has a good selection of stores
Individual C — Google review
Nice and very clean mall. The best thing is not so crowded, few good stores like barns and noble, lens crafter, Gap, Starbucks and a little dedicated play area for your kid. Have ample amount of parking space and there is a amc in there so you can go for a movie too.
Diksha C — Google review
I love this mall ! When you walk in the mall you’re not hit with overwhelming crowds it’s comfortable and decorated beautifully. The mall Is very clean, quiet, and is run in decent and in order.
Tasha M — Google review
Kind of dead now, has a bunch of dull stores empty of people. There aren’t great options for food and almost everything is a full restaurant- no auntie Anne’s like most malls, few quick serve places, etc. also almost always empty of people! Go to freehold instead, it feels more alive there.
Lynn M — Google review
Incredibly clean and spacious mall. It's not too big or overwhelming, the size is just right. With a variety of great restaurants (no food court) including Seasons 52, Tommy's, Bahama Breeze and other better quality fast food restaurants like The Corner Bakery, Qdoba, and Starbucks. They have a great variety of stores that are bright clean and spacious. Great finds like the Barnes & Noble, Wax the City, Anthropology, AMC, West Elm, & Pottery Barn to name a few. There are many bathrooms throughout the mall that are always clean and stocked. It's such a nice mall for families with small children and just about anyone because it offers so much and it's NEVER overcrowded. It's also a nice place to meet up for lunch with friends or after work with colleagues. I never feel anxious or stressed out at this mall- I highly recommend visiting.

Museums
Princeton University Art Museum, located on the campus of Princeton University in New Jersey, is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. With over 80,000 ancient and contemporary works on display, the museum offers a rich cultural experience. The diverse collections include exhibitions such as Women Artists and Abstractions, Blue Green Realms in Chinese Painting, Landscapes of the Mind, and Picasso Prints.
An absolute gem right in the heart of Princeton! The Princeton University Art Museum is free to visit and offers an incredible collection that rivals larger city museums. What really sets it apart, though, is how thoughtfully it engages the community—especially kids! They offer fantastic children’s programs that are both educational and fun, making it a perfect spot for families. Whether you’re an art lover, a parent looking for enriching activities, or just someone exploring Princeton, this museum is a must-visit. With its world-class exhibits, welcoming atmosphere, and easy access from nearby roads and the heart of campus, it’s truly one of the area’s greatest treasures.

I went to the grand opening very early this morning (around one am) and it was still lively and bustling with visitors! The actual exhibits were a lot bigger than I expected, though they lacked the museum-typical chronological structure. For example, I spent a solid twenty minutes just looking for a certain exhibit. But, overall, I loved the collections they had, and it was a great experience! 🐈‍⬛🏛️

The new Princeton Museum has just opened after years of renovation. It is spacious, informative and educational, and a pleasure to view. Princeton's has and priceless art acquisitions. Understanding each painting, sculpture, or piece is aided by a written description at its side. Artworks from various historic periods, geographical areas, and artists are frequently combined toward the elucidation of themes. Large scale pieces are given adequate space for viewing. Objects range from archaeological relics of 3,000 years or more to very contemporary works. There is also a gift store. This is one of the most spectacular University collections in the United States.

Incredible new building and breathtaking collection. A must-see on campus, and free for all. The gallery design is organic and easy to get lost in--the density of the collection is impressive. Looking forward to many future visits.

This review is based on the brand new renovation of the museum for the people who are looking to visit the university and the town definitely come down to the museum. It is very lively. It's big. There's events. If you're really much an art fan, it can take you hours to look at it. I was very impressed with the new improved museum by the University.

Lovely visit to light filled, visually appealing, spacious museum. Well attended opening day with pre-registered, small group tours throughout the venue, but none so large to make moving about difficult. Highly recommend a visit and plan to spend at least 3 or more hours to minimally gloss over all exhibits.

Princeton University is a private Ivy League university located in Princeton, New Jersey. It was founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey and is one of the oldest in the U.S. Princeton is ranked among the top universities in the world, and is best known for its rigorous academics, prestigious alumni network, and of course, as its well proclaimed beautiful campus. Princeton offers a broad range of academic programs, with majors ranging from humanities, social sciences, economics, and engineering. Its campus is absolutely beautiful. It consists of various large extensive buildings and structures all throughout the walking area. It is very much common to see students alike and tourists taking photos of such aforementioned structures because of their voluminous space and architecture. Princeton's undergraduate curriculum is based on a liberal arts foundation, requiring students to take courses in a variety of disciplines. As stated on their respective website: 4 years of English 4 years of Mathematics 4 years of one foreign language 2 Years of Laboratory science 2 Years of History Princeton also offers a variety of financial aid programs to help students make college affordable. Not only that, but undergraduates also have the opportunity to conduct independent research, often under the mentorship of Princeton's world-renowned faculty. All in all, Princeton University is a world-class institution that offers students the opportunity to receive a rigorous education and learn from some of the best minds in the world. It is a community where students can grow and thrive, and make lifelong friends from all over the world in an environment where young minds are constantly being challenged and older minds are seeking to serve and teach their years' worth of knowledge. If you are a high school student who is interested in attending Princeton, you should start planning early. Princeton has a very competitive admissions process, and it is important to have strong grades, and extracurricular activities in progress while you still have time. In addition to that, I definitely recommend visiting the campus and talking to current students to learn more about the university, student life, and its unique culture it portrays.

It's beautiful!! It's amazing to walk around the campus. It has a very Hogwarts magical vibe. The buildings, the built and everything about this place has a history (the good and the bad). It almost feels like having a connection with that history while you walk through this place.
Ankita S — Google review
This is a very old school with charm and beautiful architecture. I just walked through the campus, but it was quite lovely. I cannot attest to the education, but from what the school has posted everywhere, it seemed like a very “where are your papers?” university, which is quite something. I will not doc any stars because of it, but I was not allowed in the university chapel because of it (only students, faculty, or staff allowed)- I know it’s a private school, but I thought these places were supposed to be open to all, like their predecessors in England like Cambridge or Oxford.
Kyle H — Google review
Awesome. The atmosphere, the history and the architecture made me speechless. May be the best university campus in the US. Walking between buildings, breathing the fresh air of Princeton city was one of the best memories I have ever had. Of course I am writing this review as a tourist.

Located in Princeton, New Jersey, the McCarter Theatre Center is a renowned performing arts venue that has been showcasing professional theater productions since 1930. With over 200 performances annually, including theater, music, dance, and special events, it is one of the most active cultural centers in the United States. Drawing an audience of over 200,000 people from New Jersey and beyond, it stands out as the only professional producing theatre in the country that also presents diverse performing arts.
Primary Trust There’s a quiet power in simplicity on stage. Understated storytelling doesn’t shout for your attention, but before you know it, you’re drawn in hooked by the small moments and gentle rhythms that somehow leave the deepest mark. Characters who seem naive or unassuming at first glance often end up the most compelling, especially as they’re nudged by new experiences or stay rooted in what feels safe. That slow, believable evolution is what makes live theater linger long after the curtain falls. That’s exactly what happens in “Primary Trust,” the Pulitzer-winning play now running at Princeton’s McCarter Theatre. The plot centers on a gentle, habit-bound man, played with quiet intensity and unguarded heart by Deshawn Harold Mitchell whose world starts to shift, bit by bit, as life pushes him to open up. Playwright Eboni Booth keeps his journey grounded, layering in fresh challenges and flashes of clarity that let his universe expand just enough to feel real, never forced. The supporting cast is equally impressive. Lilian Oben moves effortlessly between roles, making each character pop with their own energy and soul. Peter Bisgaier brings a lightness that cuts through the tension at just the right moments. And Shane Taylor, as Kenneth’s steadfast imaginary friend, is the anchor he clings to for over two decades until, finally, he steps aside and lets Kenneth find his own way. What sticks with me most is how the production wrestles with memory, loss, and the marks our past leaves on us. There’s an honesty in the way it shows how reaching out even after years of loneliness can rewrite the story we think we’re stuck with. McCarter Theatre has a knack for these kinds of shows: the ones you keep turning over in your mind long after the applause fades. Hats off to the entire cast and crew for a performance that turned an ordinary night into something quietly extraordinary. Bravo.

A good theatre, a beautiful hall, I really liked the audience. They were incredibly warm in their reception of the jazz ensemble « The Hot Sardines ». The staff is very polite and tactful. There is a parking lot nearby, and you can also park on the neighbouring streets.

Wonderful theaters to see excellent performances in music, theater, dance and many other types of show. Top quality performers in two great theaters with excellent seating at affordable prices. And in Princeton so fine dining plentiful nearby and walking distamce to Princeton University campus for beautiful walks before or after performances. No need to deal with travel to NYC or Philly, traffic and parking. There is even free theater parking. I am a subscriber for their season tickets. Always something worth seeing on the schedule.
Ricardo F — Google review
I see a lot of shows at McCarter every year, and I really love how they’re not afraid to take creative risks with their work! Even though I haven’t enjoyed every single play or musical, I truly appreciate the effort and artistry that go into each production. I also love that McCarter includes dance performances--the company does a wonderful job blending different creative elements and keeping their programming fresh and exciting! 🐈‍⬛🎭

This organization is having problems with its ticket purchase portal. It kept declining all my credit cards and Apple Pay. How can you expect patrons to get tickets if your portal doesn’t work and your office is closed half of the day? I verified with the credit card companies and Apple Pay, all said credit is good and no problems. This is such a terrible business practice, how can you expect patron support when we can’t purchase tickets?

Ice cream shop
Nestled on Hulfish Street, Halo Pub is a charming and rustic ice cream shop that stands out in Princeton's culinary scene. Known for its artisan ice cream crafted from milk sourced directly from its own dairy, this delightful spot offers an array of flavors that are both rich and uniquely sweet. Visitors can indulge in not just scoops of ice cream but also sundaes, floats, and milkshakes—all at remarkably affordable prices compared to other local favorites.
Lovely place. A colleague who lives nearby recommended it during lunch. No waiting at about 1:45pm on Friday. Lots of interesting new flavors I haven't seen before, but I opted for the basic flavors first and will try some different ones when I return next time. I purchased a pint and ate it all on my walk back to my car!!

Must stop by if you're in downtown Princeton! They have a lot of flavors but they've gotten more expensive over the years. Definitely much less line than The Bent Spoon a few feet away. Parking is difficult since it is downtown. Street parking and parking lots available to pay via Park Mobile

The best strawberry ice cream I’ve ever had! It was so good and tasted like real strawberries! The line was almost around the block but moved really quickly. Only thing is they don’t offer samples :( so you just gotta commit without knowing what it tastes like. Would definitely come again!

Good ice cream in a very convenient spot. The cow decorations on the wall were very fun and the ice cream was soft and delicious. The scoops were very generous and not too expensive.

This ice cream parlor offers an excellent variety with a fantastic selection of flavors. Their vanilla is a standout and easily my favorite. It's a must-visit for any ice cream lover!
Amitabh P — Google review
A terrific ice cream spot in downtown Princeton. There were a number of fun flavors to choose from, and I got a scoop of the chocolate chocolate chip and a fancy Parisan hot chocolate to wash it down. Both were wonderful. The decor is a clear throwback to its older pub days, but it gets marks for the cleanliness you want in an ice cream shop. The staff was young but super nice. It was a great finish to the super spicy Chinese food I has for lunch. Worth stopping by.
Alexander K — Google review
Lots of really good flavors. They are willing to do two half scoops to make it a scoop. That’s a really flexible way to try two different flavors. I tried rum raisin and cashew caramel. Rum raisin is a flavor that’s not commonly available and this place had it. Cashew flavor was a new flavor and the combination made it unique. All other flavors were also nice. There is no real place to sit inside so it’s more of pick and go style. They open at noon on Sunday and lines quickly build up.
Vinay M — Google review
We went to Halo Pub as we were told by our friends to try this most recommended ice cream shop in Princeton. It was a Saturday night and about a 40min wait in line and we endured it because we wanted to try the best ice cream in town. So as we got in the shop, all excited with wide open eyes and wanted to try their flavors, we were told that they don’t allow anyone to try any of their flavors….company policy!! That was a bummer! And not to shame them but quite honestly this was probably the first ice cream shop that I have been to in my life which did not allow tasting flavors. 😭 So I went with my time tested pistachio ice cream and it turned out to be just average. I don’t think it was made as ground up pistachio ice cream. It tasted like they put pistachios in a very creamy vanilla ice cream. Other than that…there is a limited sit in area inside the shop which me and my folks used. But be aware that there may be other people waiting on you to vacate that seat. So when you finish your ice cream, get up and leave 😜

Fine dining restaurant
Elements is a sophisticated dining establishment located in downtown Princeton, offering an upscale experience with its New American cuisine crafted from locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. The restaurant boasts a refined ambiance with spacious seating, comfortable armchairs, and a calming color scheme. Led by chefs Scott Anderson and Mike Ryan, the open kitchen presents a variety of menus that blend traditional and modern cooking techniques to create exceptional dishes. Originally stemming from another popular local spot, Elements has garnered praise for its culinary innovation.
Overall, really enjoyed our experience. The service was great. They were aware of my shrimp allergy before we even got there so they handed me a menu without shrimp and gave my friend one with. As a course ended, the next one arrived fairly soon. In addition to the 5 courses, they gave us two welcome plates which were also tasty- a fish dish and a kimchi dish. My favorite dish was the Fregola pasta with lamb/burrata. It was exceptional. The ribeye steak was also great. My cocktail was just okay and the dessert was good - biscuits with Hawaiian ice cream and cherries/caramel on the side. Pricey but would definitely return!
Shenelle D — Google review
Came here with friends of ours on a Friday night for their 15-course tasting menu at Element, and it was a great experience. Every course was thoughtfully curated, showcasing incredible flavors and techniques that made for a truly unforgettable dining experience. A standout for me was the prawn preparation, the chefs cleverly tempura-fried the vegetable and shrimp head, while the body was transformed into a delicate and flavorful ceviche. The caviar was another highlight, adding a luxurious touch to the meal. The Maine sea scallops were outstanding, perfectly cooked and bursting with freshness in a dill sauce. Another remarkable dish was the tuna prepared three ways—as a tartare, wrapped in cabbage, and nori. Each preparation showcased the tuna to its highest potential, highlighting its versatility and depth of flavor. To finish, the Hawaiian dessert with the biscuit was one of the best single-bite desserts I’ve ever had. I took left over home for breakfast the next morning. Yummmm. The service was also impeccable—each course was carefully explained by the server, adding to the appreciation behind each dish. Empty plates were promptly cleared to maintain a clean and seamless dining experience. Beyond the food, the ambience was elegant yet welcoming, making for the perfect complement to an already good meal. I highly recommend their tasting (we had the 15 course, they also have a 5 course as well) menu for anyone looking for good food with variety in Princeton. Please note the last seating for the 15 courses is at 5:15 because it takes time to go through the menu. I’ll definitely be back!
Brian M — Google review
The visit to elements was nothing short of outstanding. The food was delicious, innovative and well presented. The service was fabulous. Will go back again without a hesitation..their kanmachu, rib eye, tuna sushi...and I can go on were the perfect creations..a definite recommendation for anyone planning to visit.

We celebrated daughter’s birthday at the Elements with their testing menu and we were all very satisfied. The food, ambience and services are all very good and I think it’s definitely worth the price. Besides the five courses, they gave free small dishes and bread etc so we were all very full afterwards. All in all, a very good experience and I am impressed with the standards of the dishes. Well done!
Lin W — Google review
Bravo! Delicious and memorable! The five course tasting was artfully presented with unique fresh flavors that will delight those with an adventurous palate. I particularly enjoyed the tuna prepared 4 ways and the smoked ribeye. The seared toro (fatty tuna belly) was my favorite bite of the evening. The atmosphere and service is warm and inviting. Michelin star well earned and deserved.
Debbie P — Google review
I really wish I could give this five stars, and someways. The experience was like that, but it just wasn’t as over-the-top as I had hoped. Still, completely worth it, and a really lovely time with my dad for their Christmas Eve tasting menu. The food overall was really great, a little fish-heavy for my liking, but still fresh and well cooked. It was kind of a bummer to be stuck in the back room when I knew that there was a beautiful open kitchen concept in another space that people, who were paying the same amount of money as we were, were getting to experience. The waitstaff were lovely and warm, but there were some wait times between courses that were overlong. Again, though, I am super glad we went and had a proper tasting menu fancy dinner. Just as a note, parking was a little bit of a struggle for us, even though it was Christmas Eve. We drove around for a while and found a place on the street. So just know that it might not be completely easy to get a spot as soon as you arrive - you might want to build a little bit of time into your arrival for that.
Missy S — Google review
Elements was easily the best meal I’ve had all year. Every course was carefully crafted and presented in a way that elevated the taste. The service was top notch and the ambiance left very little to be desired. The fish dishes were fresh and each one was different in its own way, the ribeye and presentation was amazing and looked more like art than a meal! The lamb course may just be the best bite I’ve had of all the 60+ restaurants I visited during 2022. I highly recommend Elements full tasting menu if you are looking for a quality dining experience in The NJ area!
Jasonn D — Google review
This is the first time I am writing a review and, unfortunately, it's because I am quite disappointed with my recent dining experience. The food was underwhelming - the dishes were ordinary, and I can say that I could make better at home. It was definitely not worth the price charged. Compared to other restaurants in the vicinity, this one falls short in terms of taste. Additionally, the ambiance was just average and to make matters worse, there were a lot of mosquitoes while we were dining. Overall, a disappointing experience and I would not recommend this place when there are clearly better options available in the area.

Restaurant
Teresa's Pizza | Wine Bar is a lively and unreserved Italian eatery that sources its ingredients from its own farm. Despite its small size, the wait time is minimal during lunch hours. The appetizers are served promptly, while the mouthwatering pizzas may take a bit longer. Among the various options tried, the mushroom pizza stands out as a clear favorite.
My family and I came to Princeton for lunch on a snowy day. The restaurant we were targeting didn’t work out and decided to go to Teresa’s Pizza and Wine Bar. We were glad we did. This was the perfect spot for a family lunch. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, creating an inviting atmosphere for a relaxed meal on a snowy day. We ordered the mushroom pizza and the pepperoni pizza, and both were absolutely outstanding. My daughter ordered the meatball and it was equally as good. The mushroom pizza had a rich, earthy flavor, with fresh mushrooms, perfectly melted cheese, and a delightful crust that struck the right balance between crispy and chewy. Add little more cheese and hot pepper flakes, you will have a very good bite. The pepperoni pizza was just as impressive—loaded with pepperoni that had a great smoky flavor, complemented by a slightly spicy tomato sauce. Overall, the experience was fantastic. Great food, friendly service, and a warm atmosphere make this a must-visit for pizza lovers in Princeton. We will definitely be back for sure.

There was a long wait so we put our name in and went to another bar for drink. Didn’t mind that but when they texted us that our table was ready they weren’t prepared when we showed back up to the restaurant. We waited outside and after 10-15 minutes decided to check again and realized they had forgot about us. Sat down and put in our food and drinks pretty quickly. Great espresso martini. However our server forgot to bring our bread and did not apologize for the oversight. Also we mentioned we were splitting food and share plates weren’t brought until about 5-8 minutes until after our food was brought over. Also sat with empty water glasses for quite some time. They did not have a vegetarian pasta option on the menu and asked the server what dish would be best without meat. What we got may have been one of the worst pastas I’ve ever had (the balsamic). I’m all fairness, my cousin loves this dish with the chicken. I think the main miss is they don’t have a vegetarian pasta option on the menu. Also on the specials they labeled the salmon as vegetarian. Pizza was quite good. All in all a very mediocre dining experience

One of my favorite places to eat. Their artisan pizza is the best in the city. Our favorites are the Mushroom as well as the sausage. We have also tried some of their pastas and they have all been great. The staff is friendly and kind. Other than the bar seating, unfortunately the table service is a bit slow. Paid street parking as well as garage parking available.

So I came back on 9/8/24 and food was amazing. dough was great. i guess it’s a bit inconsistent sometimes. but my most recent experience was great!!! outdoor seating was nice. host could be a bit more welcoming and cheerful —- Decent food. Good pizza. Dough is average, but flavor is good. Bread is not warm and very chewy, which is a big disappointment. Service is good. Balsamic vinegar is horrible. Very watery.

We only had the Margarita pizza, but it was VERY good. The bar is small, but nice and is right in front of the guys making the pizzas - which they do with incredible efficiency. The ONLY thing is - the food/drinks are a little on the pricey side for what you get. The pizza is basically an individual size - but we split it. They are a wine bar, so they only have THREE beers on tap and it was $9 for one beer. Ricardo was our bartender and he was AWESOME. Great guy and a great bartender as well. Overall, I would say it's a very nice place and is a good option for a quick date night out.

Amazing arancini, creamy and tart. Tagliatelle had great texture with nice ragu sauce. Truffle pizza was seeet, savory, and rich, everything you’d expect, though maybe the smallest touch of acid would have made the dish stand out even more

Teresa’s really fell off. The food used to bring comfort and warmth to your tastebuds; mixed in with their cozy ambiance… this place was the perfect place for a cute date with friends or a loved one. Ambience and friendly staff are still present, but the food is truly lacking. It feels reheated at best and none of the flavors blend together, they just coexist. I got the penne pecorino today and it was so bland and wet. The scallops and the shrimp tasted like they were just thawed and thrown in last minute without a chance to soak in any of the wine sauce (which was also bland and watered down from their wet tomatoes which weren’t sautéed long enough ). The roasted garlic is an insult to my mouth. We also got the tagliatelle … which might as well be Chef Boyardee, but in this case I would have much rather eaten Chef Boyardee. Everything tasted really bland, wet, lukewarm, and just overall sad. I will not be returning to Teresa’s anymore, it was a good run~

First and last time i come this to place. I was there last Saturday, and the place, while gorgeous, lacked the service that one comes to expect in todays world. After being forgotten about several times you could tell the staff did not know what to do, and when they figured it out, they didn't do it well. The host (who i later found out was the manager) was way out of his element. The whole thing felt like the crew misfits being led by an even bigger misfit which is unfortunate. The food was OK at best. There were definitely some highlight dishes like the balsamic pasta but the atmosphere/service of it all takes away from the experience.

Mexican restaurant
QDOBA Mexican Eats is a straightforward Mexican fast-food establishment that offers a variety of options such as burritos, tacos, and more, including health-conscious choices. The cuisine is satisfying and they provide generous portions. What sets them apart is the inclusion of guacamole and queso without any additional charges when added to a bowl or burrito. However, the service was unsatisfactory with unclean tables being a notable issue.
Cool and Casual vibe. Great casual conversation with server. He did an awesome job creating to our specifications! Totally trusted David with our meal. My son, 11, said, he did a great job too!

Roots Ocean Prime is a sophisticated restaurant located on the stunning campus of Princeton University. It's the fourth location of Harvest Restaurants' Roots, and it has taken over the former Cargot Brasserie space. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring seafood such as crab, fish, and lobster, as well as delectable steaks paired with an extensive wine selection. The ambiance is reminiscent of classic steakhouses, exuding an elegant charm that harks back to a bygone era.
I recently had dinner here, and the service by Irene and the team was absolutely amazing! My girlfriends and I had such a great time. The French onion soup was my absolute favorite, and the filet/shrimp entree was super yummy. The warm butter cake was delicious and moist, and the drinks were great too! I can’t wait to come back.

The servers was nice and prompt. They accommodated our party's request as much as possible. Location of this place is great, it is walking distance from Princeton dingy and free University parking (certain hours only). Food was good. The most delicious items from food/beverage were the mashed potatoes, dirty martini and the whipped cream (looked like ice cream but nah) that was on the side of blueberry muffin. (I drank the martini before I could grab a photo. Sorry!)

Let’s start by saying the service here is exceptional. I have no complaints, this is solely my experience on taste as I frequent 4-5 star restaurants. I wanted a nice date night for my husband and I that was not too far away. Being here several times it’s the same issue, great service subpar food. The food and drinks are just not that great. It’s not terrible, it just doesn’t leave you feeling “wow”. My husband asked for medium filet minion which came out medium well. He didn’t want to to complain so he ate it. The manager did comp us drinks which was nice. My cowboy ribeye was ok, again nothing spectacular. The drinks are a hit a miss. I asked for a basic Mai tai and the bartenders could not get it right. Again, this is my experience and I’d probably dine here again just not as a first or second choice. Photos are 12ozfilet 20oz ribeye with blue cheese crust (not crusted as I would have liked) Baked potato and Mac & cheese

We had a very great experience! Our waiter that night was so friendly and kind. He was happy to answer any of our questions about the food. We started with the calamari and I loved the peppers it came with. Sometimes flavorful and spicy. We had the 42 oz prime porter house steak for two, brussel sprouts and truffle pommes frites. They ended up giving us a huge ice cream dessert because it was my fiancé’s birthday. Overall great experience!

Fantastic experience! Steak cooked perfectly! Did not need their house steak sauce, though I tried it on 1 piece and it was really good! But so unnecessary!!! Outback or Longhorn should buy the rights to use it... as their meat usually needs help. Staff was very polite even to guy who walks in, in business casual with a backwards baseball cap on ♥️, ive been sneared at for less in other steak houses. Whenever work brings me back into town, this is my dinner haunt. Thank you so much for giving a rough day, a nice landing.

Wow the service here was upscale, we celebrated a birthday. They gave us a private room, and treated us like royalty I enjoy every moment of it. I truly recommended. The food was really good. Perfectly cooked. The fish with felt it was fresh. If you’re in Princeton, this is the place to go

My friend treated me here for a late bday dinner! The food here was great. The beef Wellington was a good medium rare. The halibut here was good and I’d try more seafood dishes if I came here again. The asparagus and mushrooms were mixed with other flavors. The truffle Mac and cheese is apparently very popular. They also gave us a side of bread that was fluffy and puffed on the outside but soft on the inside. This is a pretty expensive restaurant as it’s a seafood and steakhouse, but I think it’s priced fairly for what they serve.

I love steakhouses. This one was good… but not best I had. Don’t get me wrong .. Dinner was delicious… portions were small..I definitely splurged here with my friends our bill was $900. My steak was more rare than medium, but that’s not a problem. They reheated it was good. Service was excellent. Will I come back here ? Maybe for an occasion.

Organic restaurant
Agricola Eatery offers a modern dining experience with a focus on farm-to-table cuisine. The restaurant takes its Farm to Table policy seriously, sourcing most of its certified organic ingredients from their own farm or local neighbors. The atmosphere is both hip and sophisticated, featuring an open kitchen, communal dining options, and stylish decor including exposed brick and high ceilings. The menu showcases fresh, seasonal dishes made with local ingredients, such as apple cider sangria and brown butter sage cavatelli with salmon.
From the outside, Agricola looks unassuming but inside, you're transformed into a bustling farm house with delicious food. I made two visits on two days at Agricola and the service was great each time. The peach bourbon old fashion was amazing, the food from the sides to share, main entrees and desserts were well prepared.

A charming restaurant in Princeton, occupying the former venue of Einstein’s preferred dining establishment. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list, including some from my birthplace in Galicia. The cuisine was both substantial and refined. We attended a company-sponsored meeting, so I can confirm the pricing, but I would assert that it is a worthwhile experience.

Had a great time at Agricola! We got the bang bang cauliflower - had a tangy spicy sauce with sliced pickled jalapeno - really liked that spin on it, margherita flatbread - was super fresh & light, and baked potatoes on the side. They were all delicious. The service was great as well. There was a waiting line so I suggest making a reservation.

Gracious. Impeccably prepared and presented meal. Exceptional wait staff., with an excellent balance of attentiveness without being intrusive. One is made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Ambiance is attractive without feeling ostentatious, even though this is clearly a very upscale establishment. This was my first time visiting here, but my daughter likes to frequent the place whenever she's visiting NJ. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We arrived relatively late, and opted for less elaborate menu items. There were many intriguing items on the menu. Be aware that the prices are on the high side (look at their online menu so that you don't feel blind-sided by the costs). That being said, the quality of the food (and service and ambiance) we experienced was exceptional, and we did feel the cost was well-deserved. Also, there were a number of inviting non-meat options for those so-inclined - I would actually like to come back and see what their "Grain Bowl" is like as an entree, as it sounds intriguing and inviting as a main meal alternative to some delicious-sounding meat/seafood choices. For a special meal out with our visiting daughter, it was nicely memorable. But not something I would be inclined to indulge in regularly, as for me a near-perfect meal is a pizza and refills of Coke at Conti's (also in Princeton). :) So, definitely worth checking out, especially if you wish to have a special get-together.

It’s a decent brunch spot in Princeton. The restaurant is huge and nicely designed - gives New American farm to table brunch vibes. The food itself was just okay - there were some hits (margherita flatbread and cinnamon bun) but I wasn’t super impressed by pictures of entrees I saw so I just had tuna tartare for my main (which was bland) and the clam chowder also had basically no clams in it. They have a great setup here (particularly given most restaurants in Princeton are tiny and can’t handle large crowds) and it’s clearly pretty popular, but they need to clean up the dishes a bit and hone in on the New American vibe and get rid of the French influence (apparently this used to be a French fine dining restaurant?). Like look at pictures of some of the basic entrees (i.e., the egg sandwich, which in reality is a croissant sandwich with a side salad??) and tell me they don’t look unappetizing.
Maddy A — Google review
So far I have been enjoying the food and drinks at the bar. The menu had a salmon steak that is cooked to perfection and is a favorite of mine. Other items worth mentioning include the broccoli, truffle fries and various salads they offer bar side.

The restaurant is known for its James Beard-decorated chefs Scott Anderson and Ben Nerenhausen, who prioritize fresh, local ingredients to create an artistic culinary experience.
Amazing food! Amazing drinks! Amazing Staff! Amazing Vibe! Honestly though, the Szechuan Wings WILL be the second best if not the BEST Wings you'll ever have in the entirety of your time on Earth. Why 2nd? Personally because I've experienced an exceptional recipe that would put Master Chefs to shame and we all know everyone is a critic and will say something is better just because. But nothing else besides that compares. Its not close. Honestly only one thing was mildly disappointing the one time we went and it was some type of seasonal limited time dessert. It wasnt nasty or anything, it was just a texture thing for us. Flavor was good, presentation was good just wasnt for us. Server took care of us and we got one of the main stay desserts. Perfect Date Night spot. You will want to come back!!

For a cold winter night, Mistral offers a cozy atmosphere with great flavors! Each dish was unique in its own way and a visual treat. The steak with coconut curry sauce was a nice touch. The pan seared salmon skin was super crispy. While the Fava Bean Toast was colorful and fresh, the toast was soggy. Also, the salmon bites were yum except for the crust - bit hard. Service was friendly & prompt. Overall a great experience.

Our very first experience at this restaurant in Princeton was with Hubert, and he was such a big part of why we decided to celebrate my 45th birthday here. He made us feel welcomed and gave us the confidence that our party would be in great hands. The night of the party itself, Christian, Jaden, and Jonathan went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Their energy, professionalism, and attentiveness made us and our guests feel like true VIPs. They created an unforgettable atmosphere that set the tone for such a special night. We even came back the very next day, and Ashley was so personable and genuine in connecting with us. She added that extra touch of warmth that makes this restaurant stand out. From start to finish, the staff has been exceptional. The atmosphere, service, and genuine hospitality keep us coming back with great people time after time. Truly one of Princeton’s best!

Delicious food and a surprisingly laid back atmosphere make this a great spot for a quick but elegant dinner. The specialty cocktails were original and well done, and there were plenty of other options for the less adventurous. Grab a high top if you'd like to watch the kitchen in action! Come early and be prepared to hunt downtown for parking on a busy night, though!

Came here for a date with myself. Reservations are highly recommended. Since I was alone I was able to sit at a table by the bar. They are first come first serve. The bartender came to my take and took my order. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. He gave me good recommendations for what appetizer to pick. I chose the Salmon bites and they were delicious!! The steak was so tender and flavorful. The bartender paired it with an excellent red wine. He then recommended the s’more’s dessert. It was AMAZING!! I truly enjoyed my solo date. The service was excellent!

The Yankee Doodle Tap Room is a charming pub located within the historical Nassau Inn on Palmer Square. It offers a traditional Princeton setting with its wooden paneling and warm fires during winter. The outdoor seating area provides a secluded spot for dining, shaded by umbrellas and conveniently accessible from Palmer Square West. The restaurant features a Norman Rockwell mural behind the bar and a wall adorned with photos of notable Princeton graduates like Jimmy Stewart and Michelle Obama.
Very nice location in Princeton, super nice and friendly staff. We were seven girls, in a hurry for lunch and in less than half an hour they prepared and served delicious dishes for us. We suggest you try their chicken wings, accompanied by excellent sauces. Everything wasn't expensive, the young guys were available to help us and serve us as best as possible. They gave to us for free large glasses of water with ice and they have excellent wines, even by the glass, at fair prices. Thanks a lot, you made us enjoy american food and the Princeton atmosphere. 🔝💯😍🙏🏻

Wonderful. We made reservations, arrived 15 mins before our reservation to ensure the full party was there but they were already ready to seat us! Seating is comfortable and easy to access. Food selection was wide spread, they had fish, burgers, pork, salads, plenty of thoughtful choices. French fries were alright, they were plain (no salt no seasoning so I suppose I wish they had something on them). Our waiter was kind and friendly. Drink selection was great! Plenty of wines, liquors and beers.

A piece of history nestled in the heart of Princeton. This old bar restaurant (hotel above), has prime location in historic Palmer square. As soon as you walk in, this bar has charm, history and a place in your heart. The largest ever Norman Rockwell painting hangs behind the bar, depicting the very song the bar is named after. TVs a plenty covering sports and a shuffle board provide plenty of entertainment, as well as a good food and drinks menu. Visited here several times and never been disappointed. There is also outdoor seating available in the courtyard.

Three of us sat outside, a warm day with shade a moving target, but we managed under the umbrella. We were acknowledged right away, a good beginning, with drinks following shortly. We started by sharing an order of Classic Humus, which was very good. My wife ordered the Cajun Cod sandwich for lunch; my daughter the Half Rack of Ribs; and I ordered the Spinach salad and added salmon to the salad. The salad was crisp, and the salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Cajun Cod was reported as tasty, and the ribs disappeared, so I guess they were okay! Service continued to be timely throughout, we enjoyed lunch and the outdoors. This was not our first visit, and won't be our last. Cheers!

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent experience at your restaurant. Unfortunately, everything about the service and food was far below expectations. • The food was poorly prepared and of very low quality. • The service was inattentive, unprofessional, and extremely slow. • Overall, the entire dining experience was unacceptable. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to expect basic quality in both food and service. Sadly, this was the worst dining experience I have had in a long time. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements.

Been wanting to go to this place for a little while now, and wasn't disappointed. The hubby and I met two friend's for dinner and cocktails, and had a great time! We didn't wait long at all for a table, and ordering was easy. I was blown away with the historical interior of the inn, as well as the Taproom itself. Had that old world charm, and the decor was pretty cool. The chicken and dumplings was so comforting, belly warming, and yummy. My hubby had the miso glazed salmon, and was pleasantly surprised at how tender and delicious it was. Will definitely go back for lunch next time because the staff, and our server were extremely friendly and professional.

Fun little coffee shop near Princeton campus. Looking for something local, we picked this and were happy with our choice. We parked across the street and enjoyed all the other neighboring small shops. Once we got to the main entrance, there was a line nearly to the door but it moved quickly. The inside is a lot larger than you would expect and there was plenty of seating available. After ordering our coffees (latte and drip with caramel) and croissant, we sat up front by the window and enjoyed our drinks and food while playing some word and board games. It was a really pleasant time here, would definitely return if passing through the area again.

The drink I ordered was a latte with oat milk and caramel, with light hazelnut. I thought the drink was really good, I left the house today with the intentions that I needed a really good latte. I am satisfied with my results. I just wish they had a little bit more variety of flavors for the drinks. No big deal though. Some find simple is best.

I'm so glad I stopped by. This coffee shop knows what it's doing! I ordered the mocha, and it was a masterpiece—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. It's clear they use high-quality, fresh beans. You can def taste the difference. Had me up for HOURS

My friend and I was greeted by Beatrice at the counter and she was very attentive and welcoming as it was our first time, she offered us samples, and helped us decide on what was best! Honestly the best customer service ever! The in-home made pumpkin cream is sooooooooo good! Good anything!

Great coffee shop in the heart of Princeton! Absolutely great coffee. It’s a must try. Very welcoming and hip vibes. They make almost everything in house which is a huge plus. Owner seems very welcoming and hospitable. Love a good owner operated small business. I got the NOLA, which was highly recommended

🙌 Three years ago, our friend Carmen recommended Nassau Inn. Since then we’ve stayed several nights. Excited for each arrival. The service shines, the staff’s all smiles, The clean, neat rooms are worth the miles. When Princeton calls, there’s no debate, This Inn’s our favorite, truly first-rate. So thank you, Nassau, for all you do, Consistent, friendly, tried and true!

Nassau Inn needs hospitality training and their banquet food totally misses the mark. We were the this weekend, and right from the start at check-in, the person behind the front desk was miserable and seemed like i was annoying her to get checked in. I didn't think too much of it only to later be harassed, by the two young hostess at the Yankee Doodle Tap Room. The bar was pretty full, so we grabbed four beer and went to an unreserved high top in front of the famous wall of Princeton Grads. This was at 3:30 in the afternoon, and there was only two other tables full with people eating. The hostess came up to us (two of us) we were waiting with the other beers for our other two friends who went to drop things off in the room before the banquet later that night. The hostess said we could not drink there, we had to order food. Which we both replied no problem, we will get food. Then she proceeded to say, well are you getting entrees? I replied, umm, i am not sure, we are still waiting for our friends to come down. Then she badgered us, asking well are you both getting entrees? When are your friends coming? I asked her to slow down with all the questions, that is when the other young hostess, says, "Oh my God, rude". It was totally unprofessional by them both. Needless to say we moved our beers and didn't get food in the empty dinning room. A positive. The banquet space was nice, and the bartender for the cocktail hour was super nice and friendly. The hors d'oeuvres were great. The main food however was terrible. Everyone's filets were WAY overcooked. There is very little demi-glace to be found on any of the plates, the asparagus was not seasoned. I should have taken a picture of my hockey puck of a steak. I showed the server and i said can you please take this back or bring some steak sauce just so i can manage to eat it. She went back to the kitchen, and came back saying there only made enough for the people that were here. I told her, understood, if you can bring something i can put on this to eat then that would be great. She then said wait let me try and ask again. Then she came out with a steak, and I cant make this up, was almost ice cold in the center. The whole table laughed, but this thing was raw. The staff apologized and I told them not to worry about it, that point I was done. I would never stay at this place again, and I caution anyone who is having an event like a wedding or shower to proceed with caution, if you are interested in high quality service or food.

Venue was beautiful, food was amazing, the packages they have are affordable and all inclusive. However, the planners that I communicated with seem unorganized. I had been emailing Debbie during the planning phase. Debbie seemed like she couldn't be bothered with our wedding. I also had to always ask her for what other decisions we need to make so planning was completed. However, on the day of our wedding Debbie was not there. Amanda was our day of planner, which this was not communicated to us. I asked Amanda if she could run through the timeline of everything with the DJ. She said she did, but she did not. We get into the dinner and dancing space and the DJ wasn't cued to play our first dance song. So my husband and I go over to the DJ and tell the DJ the timeline. Then as salads are coming out Amanda asks if she can leave, she said she doesn't have anything else to do. We said she could, but again, she had not communicated with the DJ at all. So we had to handle that the entire night. As part of our package we stayed in a complimentary suite for our wedding. The room was great, except there was no hot water. I went to shower after our reception and the water was ice cold, not even room temperature. Since it was after midnight at that point there was no one to fix the water issue. This really ruined the experience of the room for us.

On 9/8 at ~9:30am, I called Nassau Inn to report a missing credit card that I had accidentally left in the Yankee Doodle Tap Room. The restaurant redirected me to the hotel who redirected me to the Security Lost and Found. Nobody responded so I left a voicemail with my callback number and full name and situation. I did not receive a call back. I called again this morning - no response from security. So I asked the front desk again about hours of operation or if it’s easier for them if I come in person. She rudely told me they do not keep lost and found at the front desk and to just call again and leave another voicemail and they will call me back. This is a credit card, I will be traveling soon, and I made this known to them. The staff did not care at all, was rude, and had no clear procedure - kept giving me the run around. The front desk person was clearly inexperienced and did not know what to do. I would not recommend this Inn. They are inefficient and unreliable. Awful service.

Only rating as a conference facility (I did not have a room). Great space for 90 people with good AV services, snacks and breakfast/lunch service. Perfect location to walk around downtown Princeton and the Princeton University campus.

Staying at the hotel currently. I lived in Princeton for two years and always heard about the fancy hotel and its pretty absurd nightly price. With the high price I’d assume it’s top notch. Especially with the school reputation. Rooms are decent but the decor brings me back to 2001 where everyone tried to make their house feel like a winery. Looking at the doors and trim they definitely just got a landlord special paint slathering on most of it. The wall paint in the bathroom has bubbling happening to it (probably not a water grade latex paint) and some excessive water damage behind the toilet (stains and dry wall crumbling). In my current room, someone clearly spilt nail polish on the floor. Don’t see why you wouldn’t try and scrape that up. Light switches are yellowed with some grime built up and sink faucets the same. As well as being loose. The toliet itself seems like it was once white but has yellowed in time. The toilet lid, the cheapest thing to switch out (23$ at the most) is very discolored and old looking. I’ve seen Nintendo game systems from the 80s that have been sitting in swapmeet sun for years not look that yellow. The restaurant down stairs food was very MID, had better ribs at my local fair. Also when we entered there was one table of three people. We asked if we could be sat near the TVs. We’re told “no that’s bar seating only.” This is 9pm on Sunday night with no one else there. You can’t just sit us over there? Simple customer service and hosting accommodations for people paying to stay at the hotel. Not like they had a rush of people about to pore into the bar area. I went to a 60$ a night hotel, even their rooms had brand new 72" smart TVs, wood flooring and brand new showers and vanities. So if you’re going to charge 600$ a night raise your damn standards.

Pizza restaurant
Jules Thin Crust Princeton is a modern pizzeria chain that offers organic thin-crust pies and salads in a family-friendly environment. Visitors have raved about the delicious, organic thin-crust pizzas available by the slice, with options like Mediterranean, Pesto, Spinach, Buffalo Chicken, Margarita, Mexican and Mushroom Medley. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians and vegans with a wide variety of options.
One of the best thin crust pizzas I've ever had! I ordered a medium pizza and expected it to be the size of a pan pizza, but was genuinely surprised at how large came out to be. It was 8 slices total and got half Brooklyn and half hot honey pepperoni. Both were delicious and but I really loved the Brooklyn side. I would definitely come back!
Sebastian O — Google review
What a specialization! Purely thin crust pizzas in rectangular shapes with plenty of toppings to choose from. This is what makes Jules Think Crust different from the rest. Located in the heart of Princeton University, a small but lovely little shop caters to pizza in a unique way. On display were a number of interesting options for both vegetarians and carnivores. Vegan options were available too but with limitations. The ambience was rather lively with seating just about available at the time we visited. Cute and cozy might help me best describe its ambience. As for the pizza itself, it works well as thin crust goes, but over-all, decent. Nothing too great, but not too bad either.
Navin R — Google review
Jules Thin Crust is a popular casual pizza option in downtown Princeton. In fact, I was surprised at how many people stopped in to either pick up slices or dine in while we were here on a random post-lunch hour. There are several ready-made pies that are ready to warm up by the slice. We knew we were hungry enough for an entire pie, but it wasn't entirely clear from our conversation with those at the counter that a build-your-own pie option was available (it is; it's just the workers there either didn't seem to understand what we were asking, or were pushing us toward ordering from the available pies). I've found that a two-fold downside of some ultra-thin crusts pizzas, both of which seemed to be the case here. One, the toppings can be a little thin. Maybe it's because they're trying to think about how much load-bearing weight those crusts can hold up, but I missed some of those perfect sauce-cheese-toppings ratios in our slices here. Two, these slices don't wait well. I got caught up in conversation with my lunch mate, and ten minutes in, I found that my slices had gone brick cold. The flavors were still here (and appreciably so), but these are clearly meant to be enjoyed as soon as they emerge from the oven.

Delicious local chain for quality thin crust pizza. They’ve got lots of creative and tasty flavor combinations, so it’s a great opportunity to follow what you’re feeling. Seating at the Princeton location can get pretty crowded at times but is nicely quiet if you hit it at the right time. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

Jules Thin Crust Pizza at Witherspoon Princeton is a delightful culinary gem! Our group, comprised 90% of vegetarians, sampled an array of their unique offerings: Mexican Veg, Greek, Nashville Chicken, and Street Corn Pizzas. Each variety was a masterpiece of flavor. The Mexican Veg boasted a vibrant mix of fresh vegetables and zesty spices, while the Greek pizza tantalized our taste buds with its perfect blend of olives, feta, and tomatoes. The Street Corn pizza provided a delightful twist on a classic favorite, bursting with the rich flavors of roasted corn, cilantro, and a hint of lime. The few who tried the Nashville Chicken pizza were pleasantly surprised by its deliciously spicy kick balanced by a sweet glaze. Interestingly, they loved the vegetarian options just as much as the chicken pizza, showcasing the universal appeal of Jules' creations. One medium pizza, priced affordably at just $19-$20, is more than enough to satisfy 2-3 people, making it a great value. We even had leftovers, a testament to their generous portions. The thin crust was perfectly crispy and held up well under the generous toppings, adding to the overall delightful experience. The ambiance of the Witherspoon Princeton location was inviting and perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. Overall, Jules Thin Crust Pizza delivers an exceptional dining experience with their innovative and delicious pizzas. Highly recommended!

Excellent spot for pizza, especially if you want it quick. You can either order a whole pizza or have premade slices warmed up. A ton of different flavor options. Recommended!

I don’t know if this crust is gluten-free or not but it sure tastes like it! Highly disappointing, not sure why the rating is as high as it is…. Maybe a lot of people not used to actually good pizza have rated it high. It reminded me of homemade pizza if one used Matzoh as the base. Definitely don’t recommend if you have working taste buds and are used to NY/NJ pizza standards

The pizza was good with some interesting options. It was a bit dry, I wish it had more oil on it, healthier I guess but it had barely any at all.

Witherspoon Grill is a vibrant restaurant with a bustling bar scene, offering a diverse menu of surf 'n' turf and creative cocktails. The upscale steakhouse is a popular choice for business lunches and romantic dinners, boasting elegant decor, soft lighting, and a charming patio. Guests can indulge in rare treats like Prime Angus beef, dry-aged Delmonico, and generous Porterhouse cuts for two. The establishment's bar is known for its innovative cocktails and an extensive selection of fine wines.
This is one of the best American classic / fine dining restaurants in Princeton. Food and cocktails are always good and the atmosphere is engaging. My salmon was cooked beautifully. My wife had beef short rib which was so rich and amazing. Oysters this time of year are spectacular. Don't skip dessert! The sundae is something to write home about. Also - this restaurant has a good kids menu. Reasonably priced all the way from $6 pasta to $14 steak

Witherspoon Grill in Princeton, NJ, is a must-visit for a fantastic lunch and top-tier cocktails. The menu is spot-on, offering fresh, flavorful options, but the soup is an absolute must—rich, delicious, and perfect every time. Pair it with one of their expertly crafted cocktails, and you’ve got a winning combo. Heads up: they pause service from 3-4 PM on weekends, so plan accordingly. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual lunch or a relaxing drink, Witherspoon Grill delivers every time. Great food, great drinks, and a prime location in the heart of Princeton—what more could you ask for?

Incredible experience, from the moment I walk in. The staff was very friendly. Our waitress i can't remember her name was amazing. Now, let's get to the food. It was delicious, I added the balsamic dressing and steak sauce, not showing to my lambs. omg! I love the crab dip and the calamari. The balsamic on the calamari was chef kiss. My aunt had steak, she loves it. On Tuesday day, I have jazz. I happen to go on a Tuesday, not knowing it was such an amazing time. Will definitely go back. The only issue is with parking, which is not the restaurant fault, more of the popular location. However, I called the restaurant after being frustrated. I couldn't find parking. The manager was so kind to let me know there's a parking garage behind the restaurant. Very inexpensive parking pricing.

Food (5/5): I have only been here two times and both times, I've loved the dishes I order. The food is high quality and leaves you wanting more. Service (5/5): The service was good, although I had a more positive experience my first time dining here. Atmosphere (5/5): It has a great atmosphere and vibe. It was quiet enough that you could converse but loud enough no one could overhear your conversation. The decorations were contemporary and stylish.

Overall delicious!!! We had lunch around 1:00 & wasn’t overly crowded. We ate outside and the seating arrangements were good. They were dog friendly and brought my dog out a bowl of water without being asked! We did order an iced tea and it never came. I ordered the Cabo Grilled Shrimp Salad & it was superb! Wonderfully made and was filling. The shrimp were big but I wish I had 5 or 6 pieces instead of 4. We got the Baked Five Onion Soup and it was AMAZING. Rich & flavorful! Yum! The Lobster Bisque soup was great too! It has decent sized pieces of lobster in it so it was very tasty. My husband got the BBQ Short Rib Sandwich. He said it was delicious, but the BBQ sauce was on the sweeter side. He told me it’s an “8/10.” The pickles that come on the side were soft; we enjoy a good snappy crunch in our pickles. Overall, this place was awesome and I recommend going! The menu is fresh and there’s enough options for anybody to find something that appeals to them. With the items pictured, our bill was $74 before tip. Great place!!

Food and drinks were good, specifically the sides i.e. mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The pork chop was okay, had a burnt taste and was very dry even with the blueberry sauce. The chicken was seasoned well and was not dry. The bread was phenomenal and ultimately that is why I gave this spot a 4/5 for food.

We have been here a couple of times and the issue is consistent. As soon as you arrive the hostess always sets the wrong tone. Your first impression counts and on both occasions the hostess who greets you has an unpleasant and blunt demeanor. Thankfully the rest of the staff are much friendlier, professional and engaging. The drinks are well served and the food is excellent. Each dish was well presented, good sizing and wonderful flavor.

Unexpectedly decent prices for the area! They even have a special selection of veggie rolls combo which I really appreciated. The rolls were a good size, not too tiny and freshly made. Also byob. The only thing is we had to wait for a while to get our food since its in a busy area.

Never been to a restaurant where food was severed on a paper plate before. Other than that the sushi fell apart when I picked it up, and barely had any flavor even though I ordered a spicy roll. Waste of ten dollars. I’d give them 1 star if the staff wasn’t so nice.

I recently dined at Sakura Express and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the service. The spicy salmon rolls were by far the best I've had, with the perfect balance of flavor and heat. The rolls themselves were also huge, which was a nice surprise. I have to admit that I do miss the original owners, but the new team has done an excellent job of maintaining the high standards of the restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was efficient and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend Sakura Express for anyone looking for delicious and hearty sushi rolls. The spicy salmon rolls are a must-try, and I can't wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu. Five stars!

A reliable restaurant! They have massive rolls and load you with lots of fish. I especially love their spicy tuna roll. A great place for lunch or a take out dinner. Their portions on other non-sushi items are also perfect for sharing. Their miso soup and salad are also great! Great place to go in town!
CANDYLANDY M — Google review
There's no better sushi in Princeton.* But it's everything else that pushes this place ahead of the pack for me. The staff are consistently superb in their customer service, and they tend to have a kind of soft/gentle/quiet manner that very nicely fits the atmosphere of this small Japanese restaurant. They always ask me if I'd like a salad or miso soup to go with my order (I always do takeout), include chopsticks and soy sauce and whatnot without asking, and package the order with care. One time I got a little bag of candied pecans as a complimentary dessert, and another time I found a complimentary piece of art on my bag when I got home (see photo). When I arrive early and they're still making it, I get to witness the exquisite care they put into their craft. I'm finding it difficult to articulate what precisely is so special about this place, so I'll just sum it up as a very impressive transplant of authentic Japanese culture and cuisine. *(Is it "the best sushi in Princeton"? Maybe, idk. It might be tied with one or two other places when compared just in terms of food quality. Princeton has multiple sushi places that are top-quality in terms of their fare, as far as I can tell, though I'm no sushi expert.)

Ok, so the architecture is a little old school but it’s retro-cool, old school so it works. The open-air shopping is the way all “mall” shopping should be. Such a better flow of energy. The best part of the Princeton Shopping Center is the great collection of stores, shoppes, and services. Plenty of outdoor seating in a center courtyard and room to run around in the green space. Several food offerings as well as a full grocery market, bagels, Indian, tacos, bakeries, and a stand-alone pizza restaurant. Shop to your heart’s content at Orvis and Bella boutique and then de-stress at the spa or go paint some pottery. You’ll feel better about all the money you spent.

Late night spot, no fan of: Cash at door to get in. Cash ONLY at bar. Slow service at bar. Not doing last call, asking for a beer, eye roll from bartender. UPDATE: Ever been to a hole in the wall type place ? They wish they were that good. This is a one bathroom Dump. Halloween, guy letting people in, asks, yes we're 6 ppl. Let's in 3 . Fine. Then random girl cuts. He whispers how many after a few to her... a bunch she says. And 7-8 people , 5 being guys guys us ? Vibes off. Place is dirty . ALWAYS UNDER STAFFED .Keep the $6 bottle beers. Guy to girl ratio 4:1

Non-profit organization
The Princeton Garden Theatre, located in Princeton, New Jersey, is a historic cinema that has been operating since 1920. Situated near the main university campus and managed by Renew Theaters, this charming landmark showcases independent, foreign, and classic films across its two screens. With a focus on offering movies with an intellectual edge, it provides a unique experience for film enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy the old-school charm of the theater while indulging in popcorn and comfortable flip-down seats.
Love this place! An awesome independent movie theatre - great selections from all genres, including lots of old favorites. The staff is enthusiastic and friendly, and the popcorn is delicious!

This is a very nice, old movie theatre. The place is a time travel to the '90s, with the perks of the present. I loved it. We went here to celebrate a birthday. Yes, you can rent the room and select a movie as the main feature presentation. This was an awesome experience! I most certainly recommend the place for birthday celebrations. The place is clean and well maintained, the bathroom was clean too. Parking can be a bit of an issue, the theatre is in the middle of the Town.

This is a great art house movie theater which I visited countless times during my grad school. The are only two screens but they have a great selection of movies. The image and audio quality is great, and seats are comfortable, although not like the recliners. I love their special screenings such as the Academy Awards screening and the special Valentine’s Day event.
Ana D — Google review
Really nice and we'll kept old cinema. They show new big and small movies as well as classics. Folding seats are less ideal for people with long legs like me, but the delicious salt and butter popcorn makes up for it! I saw Mickey 17 here.
Jan R — Google review
It was dingy and dirty looking, with a terrible concession section that you're forced to go through in order to enter (feels manipulative). Popcorn was too salty, which I chalked up to trying to drive drink sales. The theater itself is very steep and yet the space between the seats is so narrow that squeezing in behind someone sitting/standing is awkward. I added a star because the actual movie experience (sound, lighting, audience etc) were good but I expected something much nicer on main St in Princeton.

Went for the first time. It's looks like a house but everything inside is what you expect from a theatre. Very nice experience. The audio and video experience was great. Staff are very helpful, food is reasonable and washroom is clean. And yes, the theatre has a class of its own

Breakfast restaurant

PJ's Pancake House in Princeton is a bustling all-day spot that's famous for its signature pancakes and other breakfast delights. While it can get quite busy during brunch hours on weekends, the restaurant offers a cute indoor space and some outdoor seating to enjoy your meal. The menu features mouthwatering options like french onion soup, baked potato skins, and philly cheese steak sandwiches. The service is friendly, and the staff are always ready with a smile.
The best pancakes I ever had! I was very surprised at how good they were and how fresh everything added to it was. I was greeted by a really nice gentleman who sat us donned in festive holiday apparel. Katharine was our server by the counter and she was very sweet! Will be back again first time was amazing!

After hearing how good this place was, I knew I had to try it and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere inside was relaxing and seating/wait time wasn't terrible at peak brunch hours on a Sunday. I ordered a combo of 3 custom pancakes with smores, cinnamon roll, and oreo flavors. They were excellent and well portioned. A must-try if you're in Princeton!
Sebastian O — Google review
Good pan cakes. I loved their pan cakes. It was really good and the portion was great. The strawberry and banana with Nutella pan cake was really yummy. I did order their fries, which was slightly disappointing. The fries was thin and not very crispy. I suggest they either remove that offering from their menu or improve it, while its not their main selling point.
Nagaraj T — Google review
The pancakes were so good!!! The atmosphere was incredible with many vintage pictures from Princeton. The pancakes were fluffy and not terribly sweet. Parking is hard to find and it took only about 10 mins for the food to arrive. There are many things on the menu including crepes, pancakes, burgers, pizzas and waffles.A little crowded and chaotic in the small space. There were a lot of people during lunch/brunch time, about 30 min wait time.
Zhiyun G — Google review
Took my two daughters for brunch, it was nice. We had a stroller with us that we needed to leave at the entrace due to lack of space in the restaurant. But it was all good. Food was pretty good, really large portions, we got a to go box snd brought home almost 4 pancakes
Rasmus P — Google review
I recently visited this place, and I have to say, it’s truly a hidden gem when it comes to pancakes! Although I come to Princeton often, this was my first time here, and I’m so glad I finally made it. It was already 8:30 PM when I arrived, so I decided to keep it simple and ordered just pancakes. However, I was amazed by the sheer variety they offer — so many different types of pancakes to choose from! I ended up ordering two kinds: the plain pancakes and the coconut banana rum pancakes. Let me tell you, both were absolutely delicious. The plain pancakes were perfect on their own — fluffy, light, and just the right amount of sweetness. But the coconut banana rum pancakes were truly exceptional! The flavors blended together so well, with the coconut adding a nice tropical touch, the banana providing a bit of natural sweetness, and the rum giving it a unique twist. It was a perfect combination. The service was also great. Our server was friendly, polite, and attentive, which made the experience even better. I will definitely be coming back, not only to enjoy those amazing pancakes again but also to try the many other varieties they have on the menu. This place is now on my must-visit list every time I’m in Princeton!

Nice breakfast spot in front of Princeton University Psncakes were very good... they offer a pancake sampler $19 on pricey side but you can pick any 3 form their menu add $ 4. per dinky bottle of pure maple syrup corded beef hash very average Inside reminded me of a college bar pizza joint you can carve into table tops not bad but not exceptional Service was very good...

Wedding chapel
The Princeton University Chapel, a historic landmark since 1928, is an elegant and charming site that hosts weddings, memorial services, and weekly gatherings for the community. The chapel features a Mander-Skinner organ and a sixty-voice choir that provide beautiful music during services and concerts throughout the year.
This chapel is simply stunning, beautifully built and maintained over the years. You need to visit it to appreciate it. Entry is free, though you need to maintain decorum and follow rules. Part of broader Princeton university campus, this chapel adds to the charm. The place holds historic and logic significance.

As one of the largest collegiate chapels in the world the Princeton University Chapel certainly lives up to its heritage. Grand, striking and inviting. My friend and I stop by for a visit and to our great surprise the Oregon player was practicing which was really nice. We had a chance to sit in and admire the architecture.

Beautiful church on campus. Definitely recommend walking thru. The stain glass is so beautiful. There are restrooms to the right as you walk in as well. Which is helpful to know when out and about exploring.
Janet S — Google review
A beautiful, architecturally exceptional, humbling, solemn and enveloping space… even for someone who isn’t religious. The stained glass is glorious. At a certain time each day the sun shines directly through the windows and the grand sandstone walls on the opposite side become joyously illuminated (see one of the photos I posted here). Every detail inside and out was thoughtfully designed and executed by craftspeople, inspired by European architecture. A docent shared that the pinecones sculpted into the exterior are a nod to the Pine family who helped pay the $2.5 million for its construction. This is a treasure surrounded by other architectural treasures you want to see!

Chinese restaurant
Tiger Noodles is a casual Chinese noodle shop located on Nassau Street. The restaurant offers patio seating and allows customers to bring their own alcohol. While the focus is on Chinese cuisine, the menu also includes Taiwanese food and bubble tea. One of the standout dishes at Tiger Noodles is the vegetable dumplings, which are highly recommended by visitors for their exquisite taste and perfect dough thickness. The sesame seed shrimp with honey glazed walnuts is also praised for its delicious flavor.
I stopped here on a whim for lunch after reading some reviews. The prices are very reasonable. The server was pleasant and the lunch menu was just the right portion size and price point. The food tasted good, not too strong or salty. The outdoor seating was lovely. I would love to visit again!

The food here is great, but I left disappointed this time. The website and door both say closing is at 8:45. We arrived at 8:23 on a gorgeous Friday night, hoping to sit outside. There were multiple tables still eating and about three open outside, but we were told the kitchen was already closed. When we mentioned we thought closing was 8:45, we were then told it was actually 8:30. Even still, it was 8:23, and the restaurant was clearly not empty. We were so bummed! Luckily, the restaurant next door welcomed us right in and seated us promptly.

Decent. scallion pancake was ok. Shrimp portion was small, not as spicy as I’d like, just a bit meek.
Derrick L — Google review
Good food, varied menu. Friendly staff. A bit overpriced for the portions you get. Recommended: Kimchi calamari w/ spicy mayo, sichuan noodles w/spicy minced pork, Thai style tofu, Shanghai greens w/shallots, Thai curry chicken, beef in hot chili oil and kimchi fried rice w/scallop or salmon

Just normal food, fast service and affordable prices. I tried the Mongolian chicken and it was kind of sweet. I tried the vegetables dumplings 😋 And the poke was good, nothing fancy just good.

The Chinese food here is solid, but my focus is on the VEGETABLE DUMPLINGS. Pan Seared. They are exquisite. Listen to me loud and clear. I have traveled the globe (including 17 cities in China) and the best vegetable dumpling on earth is here at Tiger Noodles. If you have a competitor, please send my way. You must order them when you are here. They are special. Perfect dough thickness and whatever the vegetable mix they use is just perfect. GO. GO. GO!!!!!

This is horrible; I ordered Kung Pao chicken and they gave me old chewy defrosted chicken in a celery sauce who puts that much celery in any dish the taste was overwhelming. Restaurant
Blue Point Grill is a lively dinner spot located at 258 Nassau Street in Princeton, NJ. It offers a diverse selection of fresh fish and shellfish sourced from the neighboring market. The restaurant provides indoor and patio seating, making it a great place for friends to gather and enjoy delicious seafood platters with unique flavors and spices. If you're a seafood lover, this is definitely a place worth trying out for an enjoyable dining experience.
If I could give the food 10 stars.. I WOULD! A definite recommendation for seafood lovers & them being BYOB just adds to the perfection. We had the octopus which was delicious along with the crab cakes 🤌🏻. For my entree I had the Seafood Bouillabaissee which was phenomenal (a must try)! The food is soo fresh it's an understatement. I was recommended by my friends and was amazed, will definitely be back!

Charming spot on Main Street with a warm, casual vibe. The fish was incredibly fresh, cooked just right to highlight its natural flavor rather than overpower it. I loved that it’s BYOB—it gives the whole experience a relaxed, personal touch. The mussels in mustard cream sauce were the star of the night: tender and plump, with a sauce that struck the perfect balance of briny seafood sweetness, sharp mustard, and silky cream. A dish that makes you want to grab bread just to savor every drop. I’ll definitely be back to see what else the kitchen does well.

I first came to Blue Point Grill many years ago, maybe almost ten years ago.. I’m not sure why I waited this long to come back. The food here is incredible. For seafood lovers, this is the place to be. There is so much variety, more than just your standard salmon or tuna. They got it all. I started with grilled calamari - I was skeptical at first, since calamari is generally fried, but I’m glad I took the waitress recommendation. It was delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked with a nice garlic sauce - perfect texture and flavor. The same for the grilled octopus as well. Even the Greek salad was amazing. For my entree, I got the crispy barramundi on risotto. It was very good, maybe a bit too crispy for my liking, but the flaky white fish inside was scrumptious. Finished off dinner with a pound cake brûlée. Which is like a pound cake, but one side is brûléed, forming a crispy torched crust. Amazing. Will definitely be back again!

You want a good selection of fresh fish, well prepared, reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere and BYOB? In Princeton? Look no further. Never had a bad meal here. Music on some nights and don't miss the desserts. They are also simple but quite good. I hesitate giving a good review as it gets crowded enough. Good thing they expanded. I love this place.

I have driven by this place many times but when wife said she wanted to go one day I knew that was the hint for mother's day. I will start with that the staff is very friendly. Kept us updated on the status of our order and they have good communication with the kitchen to know what's out. We started with sweet chili shrimp and fried calamari...... so good! The shrimp was fresh never have we had it that good! A must try if you get the chance to go. Entree was short rib and garlic mashed potatoes, Costa Rican mahi mahi, crab stuffed shrimp and fish & chips. Beautiful presentation, perfect portion for each person. No over or under seasoning everything was just right. Desert we shared a passion fruit ice cream and mango sorbet. A nice change from what we had for dinner very fragrant and unique flavors.

Restaurant
Surf Taco in Princeton is a laid-back eatery that offers a variety of Californian-Mexican dishes, including seafood tacos and chicken wraps. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with an inner courtyard where customers can enjoy their meals. Visitors can also take advantage of the salsa bar and enjoy the flavorful options on the menu, such as the Monterey Burrito Bowl with grilled chicken. The staff is friendly and provides efficient service, making it a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.
I was so excited for this location to finally open!! It was definitely not a disappointment. I got the mahi tacos. Two was more than enough. These tacos are stuffed and awesome. With the chips they give u and salsa bar I was totally set and ready to go. Place is clean and staff was very nice. The turn around was quick but not too quick which would make me think everything in the back is laying around getting mushy. Great meal I'll be back!

Tacos were good, ingredients and sauces were fresh. Ordered four and it was fast. Their signature ones the top two on menu are the best. Each order contains one taco and too many chips. I was full from chips instead of tacos. Really willing to pay a bit more to get two tacos per order and no chips. The staff had mixed quality: one very helpful and quick the other idle and uninterested.
Hoa D — Google review
Great combo deal with Maverick’s Burrito, Surf Taco, chips and a drink. Service was very quick and restaurant clean and quiet.
Donovan M — Google review
Sadly, I agree with the other poor reviews. Visited today 12/26/19 and ordered the surf burrito (the battered fish). The minimal wait time for an in house meal should’ve indicated that this wasn’t freshly made to order, but the lukewarm fish solidified that fact. The sauce they usually should use for this burrito wasn’t evenly distributed and the fish was bland and tasted off (again didn’t help that it wasn’t hot). So the stars go mostly for the chips. Honestly, the salsa could use work, too. Go to any standard mexican place and you get a nice hot salsa. None of these are spicy. For such an expensive burrito, and for something lacking quality, I doubt I will return to this location. I’ve had good orders near the beach.
Csilla Z — Google review
Excellent food and fantastic salsa bar. I have yet to find an item on the menu that is not tasty. My favorite is the Monterey Burrito Bowl with grilled chicken (actually char grilled, not from a griddle) topped with Verde salsa. The flavors just pop in you mouth. The fresh cilantro that they use adds another dimension. The staff is always nice and the service is fast and efficient. Definitely one of my favs for lunch.

Location finally opened and been to the location a few times already. I am glad to say it eas worth the wait. Food is fresh and made to order and selections are great. I highly recommend the tsunami if you are going to dine in it is one of their signature dishes. They make there salsa fresh daily and always make sure it is fresh in the salsa bar changing it out on a regularly through out the day

I came in for the grand opening and was blown away by the service, cleanliness and warmth of the staff. I went back 2 days later because of how impressed I was and once again was amazed. A big win for Surf Taco as a corporation.

Solid Japanese food market! Polite and thoughtful employees at the counter, great selection of Japanese goods (especially matcha teas, candy, and beverages), souvenirs, and foods. I was also really pleased with my onigiri from this deli. I’d highly recommend this place for a true Japanese experience in the heart of Princeton!

A small but mighty store! They offer an excellent array of Japanese snacks and groceries perfect for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also carry prepared to-go meals and fresh desserts. What caught my eye upon entering were the beautiful mini canvas bags that are perfect for holding books or your lunch. If I didn't already have so many bags, I would have purchased one. Near the cashier, they have fresh pastries, and in one corner, you'll find adorable knickknacks like stickers, bookmarks, pens, and candies that make great stocking stuffers. The service is friendly, and if you have any questions, they are very helpful in assisting you.

Excellent Japanese store for snacks and food alike. Came here after dinner to pick up a few snacks, and their food selection was humongous. They have snacks, drinks, desserts, fresh sushi, cooking items, and more! I got 3 snacks for a little over $5 and they were all great. Would love to come back to try some of their sushi!

cute little shop that is packed with merchandise! I focus my shopping at larger grocers but enjoy coming here to browse the housewares, stationary, and trinkets. It's fun to bring friends! The cold cases haave decent-looking dishes, but I abstain as the price is a little more than I prefer, but I'm used to making these dishes at home.

In addition to fresh produce, the store also offers plants, flowers, cider, and gourmet specialties.
Try good day outing option in and around Princeton. Healthy does of green landscapes, farm animals, play area, pony rides, and wine tasting available. This place offers something for kids and adults alike. All in all a great family activity option in spring and summer.

Kids and adults can enjoy the varied play areas and animals, like chickens, goats, and wild birds. There is a woodland trail that has three diverging paths for the nature-lovers. It's cashless, so be sure to have a card ready for any purchases, including pumpkin painting and the farm shop. What an absolutely great farm. Apple cider and apple cider donuts are fantastic!! The pies and wines are great. There are events almost all year long, based on everything from peaches to strawberries to sunflowers. The events include extras like a bubble show that the kids will really enjoy, special foods and wines, face painting, and other activities. Their autumn festivities are fun, varied, and have lots of room. Walk through the fields or pick a pumpkin for Halloween. Enjoy seasonal pick-your-own fruits, or stop by their general store for pre-packaged goods.

In May, I saw this farm in an Instagram reel for strawberry picking, but I didn’t get around to stopping by for strawberry picking, so I came for apple picking instead The fall festival was fun, though admission to the Terhune Orchards is expensive, but it is nice going to if you have the money to splurge and good company to go with

This farm is overpriced. It was not worth attending. Their food was overpriced as well. $8.99 for one caramel apple. There was very few animals in the petting zoo. After touching a couple of animals I went to get sanitizer it was empty. We paid $30 a ticket. Their hayride was not enjoyable as their was not much to see. The live band had horrible microphones. If you go here you will waste your money and your children will not enjoy either.
Elsa B — Google review
We visited Terhune Orchards with our family and my service dog, fully aware that only service animals are permitted. A staff member approached us and informed us that dogs weren’t allowed. I politely explained that mine is a service dog, but the staff member questioned it and asked what type of service she provides, in a rather curt manner. I understand that staff need to enforce farm policies, but a more courteous and understanding approach would have made the experience much more pleasant for us as paying visitors simply enjoying time outdoors with family.

Princeton Battlefield State Park, located in the southwest part of the city, was once a bloody war ground during the Revolutionary War. Today, it offers a variety of activities such as bird-watching, hiking, and cross-country skiing. The area is also home to stunning weddings and photo shoots. Visitors can explore walking trails, parks, museums like Updike Farmstead which is listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places.
Today I explored Battlefield State Park, the historic site where American and British forces clashed during the Battle of Princeton on January 3, 1777. I absolutely loved the experience. The park offers multiple trails, including a few with walkways that are kid-friendly and perfect for a leisurely stroll. I especially enjoyed the smaller sub-routes—they lead into deep woods filled with lush greenery, and the narrow paths added a charming sense of adventure.

The Park has a small parking lot near the Clarke House (the Clarke House is the only full structure still standing that existed during the battle...it was used as a field hospital following the battle). The house was closed when we were thee but the grounds and hiking trails are open dawn to dusk. At the parking lot is a map of the trails and along the parameter of the main path around the open field are signs with historical information about George Washington and the battle. We hiked past the field to go down to the swinging bridge while we were there (about a mile hike each direction). The bridge was the only crosspoint over the water we came across, so it's over and back, but there are trails on the other side of bridge. Mostly flat, easy trails though not well marked for name of each path while walking (though gps has them all named so if unsure where you are, bring hour phone). Trails are all simple to navigate and well maintained and not very curvy, essentially straight paths in the woods that intersect with a few others. You can see part of the university in the distance when walking along Trolley Trail (with a small pond and sculpture next to you).

Went to this state park for a hike. The parking lot leads to the trailhead just beyond the Clarke house. The trail has a hanging bridge for visitors to enjoy, although it's a bridge to nowhere, and you pretty much need to come right back to stay on the main trail. The issue I found about the trail in this park was that it's barely marked and I ended up using my GPS to find a way to the hanging bridge, which shouldn't be the case for a nicely marked trail. Hopefully, some BSA scouts read this and take a project here to mark the trails with proper signs on trees. Besides that, it's a clean and nice place to hike. We hiked about 3 miles round trip back to the parking lot. The trail is pretty wide and doesn't have much ups & downs.

It was nice to learn a little history about what transpired in this area around the time of the American Revolution. Besides learning that the Battle of Princeton climaxed on January 3, 1777, after General Washington struggling for American Independence from Great Britain and having lost a series of battles in New York, retreated across New Jersey crossing the Delaware River into Pennsylvania on December 25, 1776 and to quote Thomas Paine, " These are the time times that try men's souls". After desertions, sickness, and casualties, and the British confident in the occupation of New Jersey, Washington reversed course and led a daring attack in Trenton, forcing the British to abandon New Jersey after the Battle of Princeton. We also got a chance to see the Clarke House that contained various artifacts as well as the history.
Robert T — Google review
The columns were part of a mansion and now have commemorative plates. The site offers a nice view of the battlefield - you'll have to use your imagination, there isn't much to see. Behind the columns, a plate remembers fallen soldiers. To get there, park in the lot on the other side of the street, then cross across the grass (there's no path, not wheelchair friendly).

On this field, the Battle of Princeton gave Washington his first victory against the British. It’s a great place to walk about, learn about history. Our only disappointment was the Clark House has changing hours and they’re often not open as it’s described on the website or posted on the door. It’s best to call and make an appointment to tour the house. The site is accessible ♿️, with pathways. The field itself may be a bit difficult but manageable with care. We didn’t get inside the house, so not sure how accessible it is. There are hiking trails. Leashed dogs are welcome. Plenty of parking.

Sept. 2025 visited here. The park ranger gave a very detailed overview of the battle. The Clark House closes from 12 -1pm. We enjoyed hearing this piece of NJ history as well as the historical significance of Princeton as a location during the war. Great place to walk your pet but please clean up!

Felt good to know the local History. The historian/manager ‘Will’ there is really good, knowledgeable and very welcoming. Got to know a lot about what happened then. They have few collections but they are all good.

Nestled in the heart of Princeton, Morven Museum & Garden is a captivating destination that offers visitors an insightful journey into New Jersey's rich history. This historic mansion, originally built in the 1750s and once home to Richard Stockton III—a signer of the Declaration of Independence—has been transformed into a museum that showcases an impressive collection of artifacts and art exhibitions. As a National Historic Landmark, Morven stands as a testament to American heritage.
Great place to visit with a baby! My little one loved looking at the exhibits. Very impressed with the aesthetics of the place and the staff was very friendly! Strollers aren’t allowed but they have a space for you to park your stroller and you can carry your little one. Also you cannot have backpacks on your pack, highly recommend a side strap.

PRINCETON: Morven Museum & Garden is a must-visit historic site, once home to Richard Stockton, a prominent New Jersey figure who donated land for Princeton University, became the first person to sign the Declaration of Independence, and practiced law. Being a prominent figure in American history, Stockton University bears his name. Morven also served as the New Jersey’s first Governor’s Mansion and is now recognized as a National Historic Landmark. The beautifully preserved grounds welcome leashed and friendly dogs (note: dogs are not permitted inside any buildings). Visitors can stroll through vibrant gardens and admire historic buildings, with seasonal blooms and plantings throughout. Events like the Spring Garden Party, plant sales, Fourth of July Festival, and other seasonal celebrations make this space come alive year-round. The path leading up to the monument is lined with cherry blossoms, truly a sight to see, and even more special during the blooming season. Just next door is the Princeton Battle Monument, a striking memorial featuring a relief of George Washington and his troops during the American Revolutionary War. The grounds also include other notable pieces like the Princeton Bell, which served aboard six Navy ships, and a replica of the sculpture The Little Vintner of Colmar. A perfect place to soak in nature, history, and beauty all at once.

A National Historic Landmark, Has significant National and New Jersey History. Built in the 1700's it has seen signers of the declaration of Independence, forefathers, presidents and governors of NJ. Well worth the stop. A little known Treasure, it also has a wonderful garden.

We went there just to spend some time in Princeton and found a gem there. The museum is very well organized. There is plenty of history presented to you, so if you are looking for something new to learn about tge state and American history, this place is for you. I learned a new piece of information about Mark Twain, which i did not know begore at all. Garden is very beautiful too.

Beautiful historic mansion built by one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, Richard Stockton (1730-1781). His wife and published poet Annis Boudinot Stockton (1736-1801) named Morven after a mythical Gaelic kingdom in Ireland. Interesting exhibits including the early history of enslaved people at Morven. The house served as the mansion of the Governor of New Jersey from 1954 to 1982. Don't miss the beautiful Festival of Trees until January 5. In the house right next door at 65 Stockton Street, the famous German writer and winner of the Nobel prize for literature Thomas Mann (1875-1955) lived from 1938 to 1941 before moving to California. Note the plaque on the wall facing the street.

College student, Carolyn gave me an amazing, informative tour that brought Morven Museum history to life. The documentation, artifacts and generous time to absorb such rare items is commendable. A $10 senior fee is fair and affordable. My kind of great day, walking and cafe dining in Princeton and breathing in Einstein and history!

Visited on 7/16/25. Morven Mansion in #Princeton, #NJ was home to Richard Stockton, signer of the Declaration of Independence, plus "General" Johnson of the J&J dynasty, as well as the home of five governors before Drumthwacket replaced it as the Governor's Mansion. There is currently a great exhibit on all of the NOT famous people who have lived here throughout the centuries, too, including enslaved people, domestic workers, women, and children, and even pets. Check it out! #HistoryMysteries

Very cool, sort of tucked away experience. We went for the Christmas tree and mantle contest, and those were awesome. Nature preserve
Billie Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts and hikers alike, offering a delightful escape into the great outdoors. Nestled just a mile from the bustling Palmer Square in Princeton, this picturesque preserve features an array of scenic trails that wind through lush woodlands and alongside tranquil lakes. Visitors can immerse themselves in the serene beauty of their surroundings while enjoying breathtaking views that make every step worthwhile.
I have taken my dogs hiking on these trails the past couple years. There are multiple options for trails most loop into each other to allow you to easily modify the length and duration. The paths aren’t overkill. There is a main paved road that runs through out the park. I prefer going in fall when the plant growth isn’t too much. My dogs love the running water! There are even tiny crayfish and fish.
Stephanie C — Google review
I like the lake, I like the quietness, the absence of people... the environment is so comfortable... here you can relax and enjoy the slow time! It's also good for running, so it's worth keeping an eye on!

Today I explored a beautiful trail in this preserve and absolutely loved it. There are several routes to choose from—some are family- and dog-friendly, while others lead into deeper woods with a bit of elevation and rocky terrain for a more adventurous experience. I used the AllTrails map to create a custom route and had a fantastic time discovering the area. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re seeking deep woods and significant elevation.

Since the middle of August I have been more in vibing with 🦋. So this trail was nice . The mountain lakes has a forest vibes and there are 5 seperate sections. I would suggest taking pictures as you can get lost easily. I love the various bridges and lakes and walking trails. There are so many plants and butterflies. I heart it. Terrain ranges from flat to hills. Peaks and Valleys.
B P — Google review
The hike is around 3.1 miles, encompassing natural water body and green belt. However, the park is maintained poorly and the lake has algae and is not cleaned
AJITH M — Google review
Nice hiking trail, though very muddy due to recent rainfall. Trail is marked , but prefer to have download an offline map or follow AllTrails if you are new to hiking.

I beautiful nature reserve, very much recommend for small trails and hikes. There are also bike lanes if you want to ride into the trails. The water reserve has small turtles present, the families visit to show them to their kids, we saw many small children visiting the turtles. The trails are pretty good - white and yellow trails - you can have a long trail nearly of 1-1.5hr around the nature reserve. There are small creeks which you can see along the way. Much recommend!

Golf course
Princeton Country Club, founded in 1958, boasts an impressive 18-hole championship golf course set amidst stunning scenery. The wide-open and forgiving layout makes it suitable for beginners, although some feel that the course could benefit from additional maintenance. Despite slow greens and occasional slow play, the club offers a pleasant atmosphere with various amenities. Additionally, the playground area provides a lovely setting for private outdoor events with music and beautiful surroundings.
Fun course! Pretty well kept and open fairways, just be accurate on approach and avoid the bunker. Will definitely be back!
Scott R — Google review
First time playing here. Staff was very friendly and they use their rangers to keep up place of play. Course is well kept and the greens are very nice. Player friendly course. Only two negatives. 1. Most of the tee boxes are overrun with crab grass. 2. Having to wait for pedestrians on the park path on the #15 par three is annoying and can slow down your round. Other than that I really enjoyed my round there. I'll definitely be going back.
Herman B — Google review
Challenging tight course in good condition. Hoping one day there will be better drainage! haha. I recommend for the price though. Bar/food is okay. Edit: New ownership has the food very overpriced. $6 hot dog should only be $3 max. Had to drop a star.
Patrick A — Google review
The course was in OK shape. The greens are actually OK tee boxes and fairways are pretty rough. There’s no food or beverage service. On Labor Day weekend Saturday they don’t even have a cook and are only serving hot Dogs. The lady working seemed overwhelmed delivering hot Dogs.Princeton could much better from a management standpoint.
Chip B — Google review
Don’t bother wasting your time at this very mid course. After we started the first hole we were advised that the passenger (who wasn’t playing) would have to pay due to “insurance” reasons. This fee ended up being the full price of someone playing 18 holes. This is the first time we’ve encountered this at any NJ course. The fact that there was no mention of this prior to starting the game and the fee was atrocious just to be present at the course shows a lack of minimal decency. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. Edit: the fee was discounted due to the kind gentleman inside but nonetheless management should address the issue of charging passengers ahead of time and make it clear when reserving online.
Lila B — Google review
Winter golf, played today in January. The back nine very sloppy, also strange to hit over bike, walking path on the par 3, 13th hole. Probably better when its warmer but this track is beat up. 17th hole was a swamp.
Robert B — Google review
Horrible course, never waist ur money and time to come here. Fairways are hard as a rock and u can’t tell if it’s rough or the fairway. Every tee box is covered in crab grass or it’s just dirt, and all the holes are just mashed together. Starter was rude and let a group go in front of us when we were sitting at the tee box three minutes before our tee time, but apparently we “weren’t ready. Horrible experience I would rather go to work then play here.

Nestled in a beautifully restored 18th-century mansion, The Peacock Inn and its dining counterpart, The Perch at the Peacock Inn, offer an exquisite blend of history and modern luxury. This refined boutique hotel features a chic bar and fine dining options that cater to every palate from brunch through dinner. Guests can indulge in delightful afternoon tea complete with pastries, finger sandwiches, champagne, and a selection of fine teas.
We just left the Peacock Inn after having their afternoon tea. My daughter came in from Miami and took me there for Mother’s Day. We have been to afternoon tea in Miami, Philadelphia, and several locations in New Jersey as well as New York, I must say this was my favorite afternoon tea that we have been to. The sandwiches were so fresh and delicious, and the pastries were outstanding. we will make this our go to afternoon tea place every time she comes in to visit. Our waiter Michael was very attentive and informative. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon tea.

*review for restaurant only* we went for a celebratory dinner - the place is cute and the dining room was cozy and not too loud. the service was excellent. i appreciated a hearty vegetarian entree option - the Moroccan Pot Pie. the crust was unimaginably flaky and they didn’t skimp on the portion size. would definitely love to try brunch there.

My fiancé and I just finished our stay at the Peacock Inn. They were so kind and accommodating for our entire weekend stay. They helped with our late check in, and allowed us to leave our bags so we can enjoy a wonderful day in Princeton together. Still can’t speak enough to the kindness we were met with from the very beginning of our trip. Our room (which was graciously upgraded) was clean and beautiful. Next time we visit we will be sure to enjoy the dining as well. Can’t recommend enough!!
Victoria A — Google review
If I could give negative stars, I would. We stayed here during a college tour and had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. At check-in, they couldn’t even find our reservation. After a long wait, we were finally given a room so small it felt like a closet. The AC didn’t work, and the conditions were so uncomfortable that I had to sleep in the car. At checkout, the staff tried to upcharge us for dinner and breakfast. Dinner wasn’t even available because of an event, and “breakfast” was nothing more than a pot of coffee. When we refused to pay, the discussion escalated to the point where we had to involve the police. To make matters worse, the property looks nothing like the photos online. The pictures are misleading and set false expectations. I strongly advise anyone considering this place to stay away. There are far better options nearby that actually deliver on what they promise.

This place is really great. VERY polite and nice staff. First time we went there they gave us 50% discount as our "first time try" which I found it very nice. I would definitely recommend these guys and will go back for sure.

Food was ok, not much meat on my sandwich, but my husband's sandwich had a lot of meat. The worst of it was the tables were so dirty they were literally sticky. Plus soda stickiness all over drink area, especially splatter on all the cup lids. Windows disgusting, and lots of flies. But the two gentlemen employees at counter were nice and polite. However, will not go there again as place needs a good cleaning!

It stands out as an inviting establishment that invites customers to experience its remarkable food firsthand.
I haven’t been here in a long time and it’s still worth it. The place is immaculate. Service is good. Their food hits the spot every time and for Princeton it has their own parking lot! The only nuisance is the 3.5% credit card surcharge. You can avoid that if you use a debit card or cash

I found this place just in my backyard literally where I live. I traveled the country tasting Mexican food / restaurants and here it was right behind me. Came here for dinner and ordered the carne asada and it was delicious. The meat was well cooked as perdine's It was a skirt steak along with very tasty refried beans and rice. Although the quantity of rice should improve. The tortillas were standard, not homemade. It had a warm cozy atmosphere and a stop were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming here for more takeaways/dinner / lunches as it's right here where we live.

A local spot for authentic, delicious Mexican food. The menu is expansive and has many vegetarian options. Their appetizer chips are superb, and I would definitely recommend the Fish Tacos as an entree. Surprisingly, the Nachos were quite soggy and lacking a flavor profile. Service was quick and ambiance was slightly loud, but quite comfortable.
Gabriella — Google review
The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic! The staff were even nicer. My only gripe is that they could be a bit more generous with the chips and salsa. I had the beef chimichangas, which were excellent. It does get busy on weekend nights, so be prepared for a wait. Prices are a bit above average, but the portions are fair.

Great food, cute interior. Will definitely return for more. Chips & salsa: Not sure if they make them in house but the chips felt fresh, and had just the right thickness. Not too thin, not too thick/hard to hurt your mouth ceiling. Crumbles away just right with salsa, would be trying their guacamole next time. Tortuga wings: Great! Avocado & chopped lettuce mix soothes the spice. I'd say slightly over the average american spice level. Pollo Mole: Great! Will order again. Never knew mole sauce could be this flavorful. Chile Relleños Pablanos: Great! Would eat again. Chicken & beef were soft and juicy, with softend, not-spicy peppers.

Mediterranean restaurant
Mediterra Restaurant & Taverna is a popular spot in Princeton, New Jersey, offering a seasonal Mediterranean menu in a rustic-chic setting. The restaurant boasts an extensive wine list and a patio for outdoor dining. Inside, the elegant space features large art pieces, rustic wood, and dark walls that create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Chef Terry Strong sources local fresh produce and farm products to craft inventive dishes from the 21 countries bordering the Mediterranean coast.
My husband and I went to Mediterra Restaurant & Taverna for a dinner date, and we absolutely loved it! The service was excellent—attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The food was outstanding, especially the seafood rice, which was my favorite. If you’re a seafood lover, this is the perfect place to indulge! And of course, the hummus and pita bread were delicious as well. The only thing I noticed was that the prices felt a bit high, maybe because of the location. But overall, the experience was fantastic!

Our family has been coming to Mediterra for years, and it continues to be our go-to spot for special occasions in Princeton. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for celebrations or simply enjoying a great meal. One of my all-time favorite dishes here is their paella—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. Every visit, the food is consistently excellent, and the service is always attentive and welcoming. You can tell the staff takes pride in what they do, and it shows in the overall dining experience. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a reliably great meal, Mediterra never disappoints. Highly recommended!

We were recently invited to a birthday brunch at Mediterra, and it was our first time trying the food. We had the house-made spaghetti, steak and eggs, NJ salad, clam chowder, and the strawberry rhubarb crisp. While the dessert didn’t quite win us over, the rest of the dishes were absolutely delicious and well-executed. What truly stood out, though, was the incredible service we received from Mia, our server for the event. Despite the large and lively crowd, Mia was a total rockstar — attentive, calm, and always smiling. She made sure everyone was taken care of, drinks were filled, and every little request was handled with such ease. A big shoutout to Mia for making our first experience at Mediterra so memorable — she’s a gem!

Decent restaurant in a nice location. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Overall the food was good. We ordered the calamari and arancini as appetizers. The calamari was very good but the portion size was small. The arancini was delicious. For the entrees we got steak and eggs, spaghetti with homemade sauce, shakshuka, and salmon. I would recommend the steak and eggs overall. Everything else was good overall.

My family and I came here for Mother’s Day. We have an amazing time. The food was great as well as our drinks. Our server Shellbe went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves she was even great with our two kids. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and it’s a plus if Shellbe is your server!

Quiet late afternoon dinner. We sat inside even though outside was a perfect day. Sinners was fabulous. Florida swordfish and Gnocchi. Both dishes were very good. Finished with Afergotto. We'll be back again and again and again.

Day 5

Off the beaten path
For day 5, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like The Bent Spoon. Not quite as popular as Morven Museum & Garden, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Ice cream shop
The Bent Spoon is a cozy and popular ice cream shop in Princeton that offers inventive and indulgent organic ice cream flavors, as well as delectable baked sweets. Despite its small size, the shop draws long lines of eager customers who are willing to wait for the unique and divine flavors. It's considered one of the top ice cream shops in the country, making it a must-visit destination in Princeton.
Ice Cream: 5 out of 5 Staff: 5 out of 5 Atmosphere: 4.5 out of 5 Value: 5 out of 5 Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5 Recommendations: Local Ricotta, Mango, Dark Chocolate, Raspberry, Creme Fraiche Best ice cream I’ve ever had, period. They have many different interesting flavors, and all of them are delicious. I also appreciate how the ice creams are not very sweet; they are good not because of sugar but because of the flavors. The staff are so kind and patient when it comes to sampling different flavors, and I always have a great experience at Bent Spoon. Highly highly recommend! I will be taking many visits in the future. The only downside is sometimes the line can get a little long, but it’s so worth the wait!
Song T — Google review
I really enjoyed the persimmon flavored ice cream. However, the coconut one barely had any coconut flavor—it was hard to notice it at all. The dark chocolate and strawberry flavors were just average. The avocado-lime flavor, unfortunately, tasted quite unpleasant. There was a long line outside the shop, and a staff member at the front managed the queue and let people in. Inside, there were plenty of staff and service was fast—both taking orders and serving the ice cream. Honestly, I don’t understand the hype. I’ve had much better handmade ice cream at many local places. This one didn’t live up to the reputation.

Amazing Ice Cream! I had the Alphanso Mango and Dark Chocolate mix and it was very good. The texture of the iced cream was brilliant and I recommend this place for anyone who is interested. They offer vegan ice creams as well. They have freshly baked cookies. Usually crowded during the evening’s and night.

This place is always busy, and we had to wait in a long line to get in. They have so many flavors, and we tried pistachio, passionfruit, vanilla, and chocolate. All of them were really delicious and unique. I enjoyed them a lot. Definitely a must-try spot for ice cream lovers
Pranay R — Google review
The experience was ok, we have had more fun at some other ice cream pubs in and around Princeton. The staff is polite, Ice creams are yummy. Somehow the vibe just did not click. They do have a style of serving cups. They also have a funny rewards program where you need not give any personal details, they hand out a card where they punch it every time you have ice cream here. After a certain number, you get a free ice cream. Pretty cool, one extra star for this. :-) the place without doubt is famous.
Rohan S — Google review
It’s always worth waiting in line at the Bent Spoon!! My go-to order for this season has been Alphonso Sorbet and Dark Chocolate. I also started adding a cone on the top so it doesn’t get soggy before I finish both my scoop!! Love this place!
Vidhi P — Google review
I enjoyed bent spoon. Some of their ice cream flavors are unique whereas others are traditional and yet the consistency of the ice cream is throughout all of the flavors. Some of the flavors can be on the sweeter note but I enjoyed the Alphonso mango sorbet and strawberry ice cream scoops I got. It was about $8 for two scoops in a cup. Would definitely visit again! Went again 7/26/25 and this time I ended up getting the banana pudding flavor. If you have a sweet tooth this place if definitely for you. A unique flavor for sure
Abhilash Y — Google review
The line was out to the road when we got there, but it moved fast so the wait wasn’t bad at all. We tried the pistachio, pink rose, and vanilla bean, and all three were decent.

Toy store
Children's book store
JaZams is a delightful haven for both the young and the young at heart, nestled in Princeton. This charming store offers an impressive array of toys, books, dolls, art kits, and musical instruments that spark creativity and joy. Whether you're searching for a unique kite or a special birthday gift, JaZams has you covered with its friendly staff who are always eager to assist. Visitors rave about the warm atmosphere and exceptional customer service—one memorable experience involved receiving personalized advice on art supplies!
I can’t say enough good things about the kindness and generosity of the team at jaZams in Princeton. My younger sister had recently been in an accident, breaking both her hand and foot. She had her heart set on a specific stuffed bear from this location, so we made the 45-minute drive to surprise her with it—only to arrive and realize they had already closed for the night. Not knowing what else to do, we gave them a call, and to our surprise, the incredible staff not only answered but went above and beyond for us. They found the bear, placed it at the front counter, and even unlocked the doors to let us purchase it—30 minutes after closing! Their kindness and willingness to help truly meant the world to us, especially given the circumstances. We’ll never forget this experience, and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you again!

My go-to store for every kid gift for ages zero to twelve-ish. Of course there are plenty of items for ALL ages, but for the most part, the store is for the babies to tween ages. A little bit of everything: toys, games, puzzles, plushies, cards, Legos, Playmobil, and much more. Definitely some unique and creative finds. Worth a look for sure.

Libraries
The Princeton Public Library is a must-visit spot located in the heart of downtown, just a short walk from Palmer Square. It offers an array of highbrow educational materials, tech classes, and film and book festivals. With access to over 145,000 books, it's a haven for book lovers. The library also hosts events for all ages, making it an inviting space for families.
One of the best public libraries I have been to! Third floor is for kids and young adults. The second floor has a lot of quiet spaces and the entire library has tons of amenities. You do not have to have a library ID to use the facilities but strongly recommend you get one if you live in the area. Clean and well organized. Check out the bullet for community events!
Adati T — Google review
This library is a true pleasure for book lovers and those looking for a productive workspace. The spacious and beautiful environment creates a pleasant atmosphere, and the numerous computers make it an excellent place for studying and working. There are also conference rooms available for meetings or group study sessions. Cleanliness is top-notch – the restrooms are always well-maintained and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. An added bonus is the café on the first floor, where you can grab a snack or enjoy a coffee during a break. The only major downside is parking. Finding a spot can be challenging, but if you have a library card, you supposedly get 2 hours of free parking, which is very convenient. However, to obtain a library card, you must be a resident of the area. Overall, this library is a fantastic place for work, study, and reading, as long as you don’t mind the parking challenges.
Mira N — Google review
Hands DOWN one of the best libraries in NJ! I’ve experienced many other libraries in NJ & different states, but this one by far is still at the top of my list! I use to bring my kids here over 6 years ago & it’s still just as amazing, but with new technology, opportunities etc… A couple fun features I love & learned about…Free parking within 30 minutes, self validated parking for library card holders for 2 hours, cute library merch, self checkout kiosks, a library store featuring donated books of many genres, CD’s, DVD’s, starting at just $1 & up, charging outlets ALL over the library, lovely outdoor sitting area on the 3rd floor, also a cool teen section, lots of comfortable seating on every floor, the cafe is still going strong, offering many food/drink options, assistive listening technology, tons of pamphlets for community & library programming, lastly the children’s section is a wonderland of imagination & learning fun, they even have these mini shopping carts for lil people shopping! Last but not least, the staff is just as pleasant & positive as ever! This list isn’t half of what the library offers. But like I wrote above, It’s HANDS DOWN the Best NJ Library..can’t wait to visit again!
Delilah P — Google review
This is where I like to tuck in when the cafes and streets are bustling with students or tourists. Three floors (although the third floor is currently closed for cleaning-week of Oct 6th, 2025) of books and workspace. Stairs and elevators to get you access of the building. Bathrooms and water stations on each floor. Main entrance has a small cafe as well (please note the cage doesn’t have electric plugs at its tables for working space). You can reserve conference rooms but must sign up in advance. $20/hr. Library cards have perks like free 30min blocks I believe but you need to be a resident of the county and show proof of. I felt a little out of place taking calls for work but no complaints from anyone nearby. People seem to really spread out here. It’s a beautiful library and well organized and very clean (side note- it also gets a ton of natural light which is lovely midday)

Beautiful library with kind and helpful staff. Mrs. Friberg helped my son take his summer class test. With support from both his professor at UT Austin and Mrs. Friberg, everything went smoothly and stress-free for him. Thanks a million!

The Princeton Public Library is a wonderful place to read, learn, and gather. It has a wide selection of books, movies, and other materials, as well as a variety of programs and events for all ages. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the library is always clean and well-maintained. Parking is metered. You get library card without charge if you are student at Princeton , live in Princeton or are a teacher. For others it is subscription based.
Krutartha S — Google review
Very neat and clean, well organized library. It is spread over two floors with a special section for children. The best part is that the library is open seven days a week. Plenty of reading space with chess and puzzle tables, scanners, computers, printers and digital search stations placed all over the library. It is open to the public but books can be issued only by members.
Dhirendra M — Google review
There is so much to do at Princeton Library. At the beginning of every week I always look to see what amazing events the library has planned for the people who are smart enough to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. We go for music class, story time, lecture series and more! The librarians are amazingly helpful and patient and they have private rooms for every thing you can imagine. The little cafe has great food and the staff that works it are so nice!

We attended Cafe Improv, on the 2nd floor, accessible via wide stairs or a large elevator. Lovely room, beautiful acoustics, friendly & helpful volunteers/staff, amazing performers, comfortable chairs, no strong fragrances. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Art hanging on the walls was interesting. They kindly offered corn chips and water as refreshments. Parking is available on street (a few dollars), or in two nearby multi-level garages. Looking forward to the TV airing on Tuesday! Will return!!

The menu features a variety of options including the jammin turkey club, smoked turkey Reuben, and hammin cheese melty for savory crepes, as well as dessert crepes like feelin peachy and brownies in a blanket. I got Feeling Peachy! It was absolutely amazing! They make their own jams and other items all from locally sourced ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm and relaxing. The service is quick with no compromise of quality or flavor. The servers are very polite and happy. Their prices are very affordable. They have indoor & outdoor seating which is nice!

Jammin' Crepes in Princeton is a fantastic find! The crepes are incredibly delicious 😋, and the restaurant welcomes dogs 🐕 on its outdoor patio. A recent visit included a meal with a golden retriever, who quickly became the resident social butterfly. Our dog seemed to make more friends than the humans, charming every passerby with a wagging tail and a hopeful glance for a dropped crumb (none were dropped, the food was too good! 😉). The staff were wonderful, making everyone feel at ease. Monuments & Statues
Princeton Battle Monument, situated at 55 Stockton Street, is a significant historical landmark commemorating the Battle of Princeton during the American Revolutionary War. This beaux arts memorial features a stunning 50-foot limestone sculpture depicting George Washington and his troops in their triumphant moment. The monument also pays tribute to General Hugh Mercer's sacrifice during the battle. It stands as a powerful symbol of liberty and representative government, embodying the spirit of America's patriotic army.
This place is open all the time and is free to visit (no need to buy tickets to visit here). My friend and o visited the Princeton Battle Monument. It was after sunset so it was a little dark. There were a few others when we visited but overall, the place was not very crowded at that time. They have some information about the monument. We took a walk here and the walk was also pleasant. There is a Bell near the monument as well (and it is functional).

Nestled next to the Witherspoon Grill in Princeton, NJ, Kristines stands out as the town's only authentic French restaurant. This charming bistro offers a delightful menu crafted by Chef Nicholas Demerge, featuring classic French dishes alongside vegetarian and vegan options. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining on the lovely front patio or soak in the inviting interior ambiance. The staff is known for their warmth and attentiveness, making every visit special.
We had a fantastic dinner — the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both a casual night out and a special occasion. The highlight for me was their spectacular wine list — a thoughtfully curated selection that pairs perfectly with the menu. Highly recommend Kristine’s if you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in Princeton!

The escargot we ordered did not taste fresh, with fishy taste. The side dish of the duck also had excessive grease and we had to just waste it. Waiter seemed a little careless, and long wait for us when we needed his help. For the food quality and service we received, I had to say it was really over priced. Hence 3 stars overall.

Very nice restaurant. The appetizer (foie gras) was superb the entrees were very good, although a bit overpriced. Nice atmosphere. Two of the three desserts (creme brulee and chocolate mousse) were excellent. However, the French Brittany butter cake was very dry. The service was great

The food was excellent from start to finish. The French onion soup was rich and flavorful. For the appetizer and main course, I had the lobster risotto with sausage, which was absolutely delicious. For dessert, I ordered the crème brûlée—perfectly done. I also highly recommend the duck magret and the lemon tart for dessert. The escargots were also very tasty. There was live music during our visit as they were celebrating Bastille Day, which made the atmosphere even more special. The only downside was the service—it was a bit slow, and the staff seemed slightly distracted at times. But overall, the dining experience was wonderful and I would definitely come back.

This place was recommended by a patient of mine but came here for the Escargot and definitely worth the hype! Love their escargot, only on the expensive side. Our server Ricardo was also very lovely and recommended us what to get based on what we craved. I'm not into their red meats so much but thats on me for ordering the wrong dish. I recommend getting the traditional french foods since it is a french restaurant. Would likely comeback to try other dishes on the menu! Parking is difficult since it is in downtown Princeton. You can pay via phone app or coins.

Stopped in for lunch after our morning run. Made quick reservation for 2 without any problems. Our server Kim took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed as well as answered any questions we had. We tried a few items and shared them between 2 of us. All portions were perfect and did not overly fill us up. Delicious and well worth coming back for! Starters Bread & Butter Escargots - six snails served in parsley garlic butter sauce, puff pastry Onion Soup - caramelized onion soup topped with baked Emmental cheese with red wine vegetarian reduction base Main Duck Leg Confit - served with Sarladaise potatoes (duck fat, bacon, onion) red wine reduction

Enjoyed a lovely dinner on a Monday evening with perfect weather. Lamb shank and the Monday Mussels 1 lb special were the highlights of the night. Duck confit was good but the potatoes that came with it were forgettable. Steak tartare was good. Escargot was good too but the pastry that came with it was soggy and too oily. Service was solid with room for improvement. For example, a bus boy grabbed the lips of my water glass when moving it. That’s unhygienic.

Bar
The Alchemist & Barrister, located in a historic building on Witherspoon Street in Princeton, is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant offers standard American bar food in a rustic interior and on a patio. It's known for its good pub food, including flatbreads, tacos, wings, and burgers, as well as a rotating draft beer list. The ambiance is enhanced by a tribute portrait of Einstein painted on the wall.
We stopped in for a quick beer and apps, and I really liked this place. It's small, but has a good vibe and it's right on Witherspoon so it's easily accessible. The bar is not very big, so if it's busy, you're probably not getting a seat there. They have a LOT of brews on tap - I counted around 50 or so! We had a couple of beers and two apps: The Dublin Spring Rolls and the oyster special. Both were VERY good. I'd definitely come back and try a few more options from the menu. Overall, this place had a great, lively vibe, good bartenders, good menu an reasonable prices. I would definitely come back here.

Great bar and restaurant. Went there for the beer but the food stole the show. Our snack were very tasty and well made (not like your typical greasy bar snacks). Table next door had orders the Alamo. That looks absolutely delicious. Lots of other tables were eating Mac and cheese. Will visit agar and will try more of the food.

Lunch with friends was wonderful. Two of us got there early, two arrived later, but the hostess did not let them know we were in the back. We had to find each other after 10 minutes. The food is great and so is the service. It's just a great place to unwind after a hard day of work. Or if you're with your friend looking to have a great time . Their customer service is great. The calamari was overcooked. But it tasted so good. I enjoyed the fact I had to chew it forever .

Went with my girlfriend and we shared our meals and spent about $90 total. The drinks were awful. It was their monthly beverage which sounded amazing but was so bad we didn't drink it. It did not taste like any of the other flavors except the bourbon. The salad and loaded fries were amazing. We had the blackened salmon sandwich was cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning and needed more of the sauce. We will definitely go back cause the menu looked amazing.

The establishment prides itself on serving contemporary interpretations of traditional Southern Indian dishes, providing diners with an enticing culinary experience. Named after the city of Chennai, the restaurant aims to take patrons on a delectable journey through its menu.
Stopped at the restaurant to eat and wasn’t disappointed. Tried chili chicken, chicken 65, and goan fish curry at the restaurant. All three dishes were pretty good but the chicken done better. Service was also quite good.

Food was good. Would have given a 5 star……We went for a birthday lunch at 1:00pm on a weekday. The restaurant was empty but the server denied our requested table. Felt a little bit rushed as the check was presented before we finished our entree. One guest was turned down at 1:49pm. Will visit again to see if the service has improved. 😎🤔

Intimate but swanky Indian restaurant in the heart of Princeton. Great decor and friendly service. Before our food, these crunchy finger foods were brought out with what seemed like diced tomatoes. Fascinating. We started with the street samosas which were tasty, but small for the price. The sauces with them were amazing though. For mains, we ordered the Nadan Fish Curry in its hot spicy iteration. It was a unique and delectable in taste, with huge chunks of fish. Definitely a winner. We also had the Prawn mango coconut dish medium spicy, which was sweet and a good spicy at the same time. This was a definite favorite. Tender shrimp, not prawns, but still freakin delicious. Dark orange sauce for both, but each different in flavor. The cheese naan was a nice addition to eat with the mains - paired perfectly. When we got our food, a man who we presumed to be the owner or manager walked up and told us that we were supposed to put the food down on the leaf first, and then eat it, as it anti-oxidized the food and would take on a little of the leaf flavor. It was a great way to dine. Would definitely go back here and try their other dishes. Fabulous little dining delight.

The food was phenomenal from the salad to the rice, naan, vegetables, sauces, and spices. The only food I didn't love was the sweet carrot dessert but it was still interesting to try. The service was slow and not particularly helpful, especially for how empty the restaurant was at lunch time. The atmosphere was okay but ruined by the sound of power drills from the temporary construction going on now.

I ordered food from them through Uber eats One of the item I had ordered was Madurai Muttai dosa, while eating found a solid plastic total waste of money and appetite. Food safety and quality should be the priority! And this restaurant has taken it for granted in my case. Since it was an online order I didn’t have patience to call or fight over this but I have made sure to review this where ever I can for other customers knowledge and awareness. Plastic in food is highly unacceptable! If a child was eating they could have choked on it! I had also ordered idli vada but only received vada they changed the order and did not even inform me. The biryani i ordered looks unnaturally orange. I will 200% avoid ordering from here ever again.

4th time since they opened and unfortunately will never go back. Sunday around 2pm, many of the dishes were not promptly replenished, had to fish for the shrimp curry. Took 40 minutes for the chicken buhna to be refilled. And after all that the flavors were one note and not distinct.

The food here is delicious, beautifully balanced and subtle flavors. I ordered the Navarantan Korma, and the Tomato Shorba. The service was friendly and very respectful, I received my meal in good time. I would definitely recommend trying Chennai Chimney if you’re looking for great Indian Food in Princeton. The restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere great for conversation.

One of the best Indian restaurant in Princeton, New Jersey. The buffet is amazing. Every dish is made at its best. The price is reasonable and the place is small and cozy. Would be my go to restaurant for biryani in Princeton.

Bar
The Dinky Bar and Kitchen is a restaurant and bar located near Princeton University. It occupies a former train station building, which adds to its rustic charm. The establishment offers a wide variety of American dishes, both small and large, in a cozy atmosphere. Guests can savor their meals while enjoying the extensive selection of craft beers, cocktails, and wines. The menu includes options for meat lovers, seafood enthusiasts, and vegetarians alike.
We sat at the bar and only got appetizers/small plates, but every bite was incredible. Some of the best bao buns I've ever had. They had a lot of great options. The inside had a great historical vibe, and they had lovely outdoor seating too. Easy parking nearby and away from the craziness of Nassau Street. Service was spot on. Every restaurant I've been to from this restaurant group has been incredible. Make sure to check out the neat zodiac head statues behind the restaurant!

I recently visited Dinky Bar and Kitchen at Princeton University and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, with a modern touch that makes it perfect for both casual gatherings and relaxed evenings. I tried the Brussels sprouts, and they were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was smooth throughout. Definitely a great spot in Princeton to unwind with quality food and a good vibe. Highly recommended!

Came across this spot after a campus tour. As described on their website, this bar and kitchen is welcoming and simple. The menu is not extravagant or overly complicated. We ordered the spicy gochujang chicken wings, chicken Bao Buns, 1865 burger, and meat lovers flatbread. Everything was amazing, did not lack flavor and the presentation was great. The only thing is the 1865 burger is not a traditional burger size, more like a larger sized slider style burger. The flatbread had a good portion of meats on it with a smoky taste to it. Don’t pass up the Bao buns.

The Dinky Bar & Kitchen Update on 4/6/25 Since my last review I have been here so many times now. I went again today before seeing a show at McCarter. I can’t say enough about The Dinky Bar & Kitchen. The food here is always amazing and the ambiance is just amazing. What sets this restaurant above and beyond is the entire staff. Customer service here is amazing!! I will say that I have never had one employee that I felt was less than spectacular. Bravo to the great employees who work here. I will be back again and again and again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is my second visit to The Dinky Bar and Grill in Princeton which offers great views of the campus. We were going to see a play at McCarter and it is so convenient being across the street. The Dinky has an intimate vibe. Being the original Train Depot the feel of the place is still a train depot which I love. The menu is limited but certainly enough to choose from. There are shareable plates as well full entrees. Very good food and drinks. Our server Kayla was amazing. She needs to be recognized because she was extraordinary. A very busy place pre theater but Kayla never stopped smiling Great experience all around. Will definitely be going again.

Pretty much what you'd expect for the location and price. Staff was very professional and handled an undercooked item, which was comped. Not impressive but better than average.

Nice place to eat. They have nice food and burger. Have plenty of parking spaces nearby. Also near the train station and the campus.

We came in as a party of five for diner and all felt we needed a snack when we got home. We did not leave full and for over $300 that’s disappointing. The menu is small and basically is all “shared plates”, we couldn’t really order mains at all. The food was actually pretty good but the highlight was the bar menu. Maybe that’s what they’re going for. It wasn’t bad but menu needs to be expanded to have actual dinner. My grandmother ordered a burger that turned out to be a slider… I’m not sure how it was even supposed to be “shared” because there was only one. I got tacos and there were only two. So they kind of miss the mark on shared food as well as full dinner. Pretty confusing place. But has potential.

I dropped by there after work to catch up with one of my colleagues. The spot is situated in a lovely area with plenty of parking available, albeit paid, but it's convenient to locate. They serve delicious chicken wings, brussels sprouts, and fries, along with a fantastic selection of drinks and cocktails, all expertly crafted and potent. The server was exceptionally friendly and chatty. They even offer complimentary apples. They made sure our glasses were never empty, creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind after a long day at work. It's a delightful spot for a cheerful happy hour or a cozy dinner date with its charming ambiance, not to mention the bonus of complimentary apples.
